- 0:14Speaker 1: on the extension of Canada's continental shelf. Premier Tony Wakeham
- 0:18Speaker 1: has spoken with Federal Fisheries Minister and Newfoundland MP Joanne
- 0:22Speaker 1: Thompson in support of the province's fishery. Wakeham says Thompson
- 0:25Speaker 1: made it clear that the federal government does not support

- 0:30Speaker 1: province will work with Ottawa to safeguard the critical fishing industry.
- 0:35Speaker 1: Metrobus says it is aware of an incident involving a
- 0:38Speaker 1: needle on board one of its buses. A post about

- 0:58Speaker 1: action is looming at the Cornerbrook Civic Center. According to CUPE,
- 1:02Speaker 1: Local 4386 and the city have reached an impasse, meaning
- 1:06Speaker 1: they could be in a legal position to strike or
- 1:08Speaker 1: be locked out as early as October 10th. Affected workers
- 1:11Speaker 1: are responsible for every aspect of the Civic Center, including
- 1:14Speaker 1: creating the ice and setting up for events. It seems
- 1:17Speaker 1: as though wages are at the heart of the issue.
- 1:20Speaker 1: Local President Craig Gardner says representatives from the city keep
- 1:23Speaker 1: bringing the same wage offer back to the table, which
- 1:26Speaker 1: has been soundly rejected by its members. Despite the impasse,

- 1:54Speaker 2: his team is focused on improving alternate levels of care,

- 2:22Speaker 2: people have signed up for the MyChart NL system since
- 2:25Speaker 2: it was implemented. The speech was made at the NLHS AGM,
