- 0:14Speaker 1: Shore broadcasting live and it led her to a jail.
- 0:18Speaker 1: This this is the Sports Shock Ship with Wayne Candy.
- 0:23Speaker 3: You Bill began, you lean up? Gang?
- 0:26Speaker 1: Can you win me down again? You frank me down?
- 0:29Speaker 3: That comes to Wall, comes to Pat.
- 0:32Speaker 1: It comes to Mark? Is it just j I'm gonna
- 0:38Speaker 1: do it again.
- 0:39Speaker 3: I'm gonna go on the way you began.
- 0:43Speaker 1: Welcome, Welcome, Welcome. I'm listening to the Sports Shock Show.
- 0:48Speaker 1: I am the Sports Shock Wayne Candy. Good morning, tell you.
- 0:52Speaker 1: I hope you uh have a pleasant Thursday as we
- 0:57Speaker 1: come to you bright and early in the morning to
- 1:00Speaker 1: get this weekend of sports kicked off right off the bat.
- 1:04Speaker 1: Before I do any introductions to the crew, I would
- 1:07Speaker 1: like an answer from them. National Title game is Monday night?
- 1:13Speaker 1: Command you Greg, Who do you have? Ohio State? Bad producers?
- 1:21Speaker 1: Who do you have? Oh h I oh id State,
- 1:27Speaker 1: Big Kenny, No, the Dame. I just wanted to get
- 1:32Speaker 1: that on the record real quick. Good morning guys, Good
- 1:34Speaker 1: morning coome On, good morning you all ready, Good morning touchdown? Yes,
- 1:38Speaker 1: are you ready. Yes, yes, Jesus right, come get you ready? Yes, yes,
- 1:43Speaker 1: you're ready. Yeah. I'm not hearing anything from touchdown. He
- 1:49Speaker 1: was better off the other day. He ready. Okay, man, listen, hello,
- 1:54Speaker 1: before we run up in this place here, I'm saying
- 1:57Speaker 1: the Dion Jerry talks got you. I tried to tell you,
- 2:02Speaker 1: or what they used to say. I tried to try
- 2:03Speaker 1: to talk.
- 2:05Speaker 4: I've been in this situation before Sportsnet just always. I'm
- 2:11Speaker 4: talking about his enthusiasm. We was all hyped when we
- 2:14Speaker 4: got in the car to go get it done. Hey,
- 2:16Speaker 4: we've been and now halfway there. Come over, let me out.
- 2:20Speaker 5: I know I know Jerry because not only calling Dion Sanders,
- 2:24Speaker 5: he calling Jason Whitten.
- 2:26Speaker 1: Right. He only can get coaches that will let him
- 2:29Speaker 1: puppet master now.
- 2:31Speaker 5: But it's someone always associated with, someone associated with the team.
- 2:36Speaker 1: Whatever lets him puppet master and get the spotlight. And
- 2:39Speaker 1: most people like to deal with their people. I mean,
- 2:44Speaker 1: speak of the Patriots anything. When if the Patriots ever
- 2:47Speaker 1: really gave any weight to any outsider, in the last
- 2:51Speaker 1: twenty five years, they've been more patriot the Patriot way,
- 2:55Speaker 1: the Patriot way is what they do. So it's the
- 2:57Speaker 1: same thing with Jerry. Jerry's gonna always I got to
- 3:00Speaker 1: the puppet master, and very few people, if they don't
- 3:02Speaker 1: already know me, is going to let me speak for them.
- 3:07Speaker 1: That's a true deal. That's just how life works. And
- 3:11Speaker 1: that's a conversation to have the whole time. If your
- 3:15Speaker 1: number is in his phone, you got a chance to
- 3:17Speaker 1: be the coach. Well. I tried to explain the whole
- 3:20Speaker 1: Dion thing that nobody seems to want to get on
- 3:23Speaker 1: board until recently. And I was saying Dion and his
- 3:28Speaker 1: sons and the whole Raider thing, and I think sometimes y'all, y'all, uh.
- 3:34Speaker 1: We sent out the thing the other day. Ed Reid
- 3:37Speaker 1: is now the offensive coordinator over here in Chamblee High
- 3:39Speaker 1: School in Georgia. Ed Reed's sun goes to Chamblee. We
- 3:44Speaker 1: talked about a month ago Champ Bailey and other guys,
- 3:47Speaker 1: Monny Holiday. So many guys I know, at least in
- 3:50Speaker 1: the period of their time that their kid plays high
- 3:53Speaker 1: school football. A lot of them joined the staff, whether
- 3:57Speaker 1: it's the coordinator or the head coach. This and Dion
- 4:01Speaker 1: right now wakes up in a world that he doesn't
- 4:04Speaker 1: know everything he knows about coaching started with Shiloh and Shaduer.
- 4:10Speaker 1: So now he's walking just like what Shadur in Shiloh.
- 4:14Speaker 1: Shiloh knows a little different because he did go somewhere
- 4:16Speaker 1: else for a year so when he first, because he
- 4:19Speaker 1: went to college first. But you know, your deal in
- 4:23Speaker 1: Dallas has been that way for a long time. Yes,
- 4:27Speaker 1: So those people That's why even at first I said
- 4:30Speaker 1: Aaron Glenn, because you forget Aaron Glenn, who's the defensive
- 4:34Speaker 1: coordinator for the Detroit Lions, played for the Cowboys. He
- 4:38Speaker 1: also played for the Jets. So he's going to be
- 4:40Speaker 1: on the radar with House Society and the twenty four
- 4:44Speaker 1: hour news cycle is going. Now you're gonna get a
- 4:46Speaker 1: lot of recycling of people that kind of already know
- 4:49Speaker 1: the organization because I'm trying to find a little bit
- 4:53Speaker 1: of trust that you won't come in here with a
- 4:55Speaker 1: microphone and a camera. Is that not how society?
- 5:02Speaker 6: Now?
- 5:02Speaker 1: You won't walk off with a playbook? Because I mean,
- 5:04Speaker 1: we have seen it.
- 5:05Speaker 4: It's not like we're coming up with outlandish make beliefs scenarios.
- 5:09Speaker 4: We've seen coaches actually take playbooks and you know, come
- 5:13Speaker 4: in with microphones and players have cameras in the locker room.
- 5:16Speaker 4: And I think the Patriots teams like that. The Steelers,
- 5:20Speaker 4: they're more concerned with maintaining the culture than they are
- 5:24Speaker 4: the winning right now.
- 5:25Speaker 1: Thing.
- 5:26Speaker 4: If we have us winning right now, is that expense
- 5:29Speaker 4: of our culture. They don't really want to do.
- 5:31Speaker 1: And Jerry just recently said he bought the team to work.
- 5:34Speaker 1: He didn't.
- 5:35Speaker 7: This is the thing here, but I'm saying this. He
- 5:37Speaker 7: said he didn't buy the team to sit around and
- 5:39Speaker 7: what he bought it to be his job and to
- 5:42Speaker 7: be a part of the team and be here. And
- 5:44Speaker 7: he said till to day that he's gonna be a part.
- 5:46Speaker 4: Of I get amazed with the Dallas fans that now
- 5:49Speaker 4: that everybody in Jerry's phone has a shot at being
- 5:51Speaker 4: the coach, they act like they're offended. It's like you
- 5:56Speaker 4: chose a chick out of the strip club. Now you
- 5:58Speaker 4: want to talk the hubbout the way she dressed.
- 6:00Speaker 1: You know what?
- 6:02Speaker 4: You know, this one is an attention seeker. Jery gonna
- 6:05Speaker 4: do what makes people talk about the Cowboys.
- 6:07Speaker 1: The Cowboy fans represent a lot of what America stands
- 6:10Speaker 1: for right now. They are America's team from the standpoint
- 6:13Speaker 1: that we are disillusioned of a certain aspect of things.
- 6:19Speaker 1: We want better than we are. Oh wow, that's better
- 6:26Speaker 1: than we are. We want better leaderships than we are people.
- 6:29Speaker 1: We want better coaches and teachers. And but you're not
- 6:34Speaker 1: a good person either, budget Why do you think the
- 6:37Speaker 1: pastor or the governor supposed to be better than you?
- 6:42Speaker 1: And that's how and how we operate. So the cow
- 6:44Speaker 1: I said that what the cowboy fan is. The cowboy
- 6:46Speaker 1: fan is disillusion to where they don't really demand y'all
- 6:52Speaker 1: aren't really demanding your team win? Y'all are so caught
- 6:55Speaker 1: up in that I'm a cowboy fan being able to
- 6:58Speaker 1: say that slogan, there's no pressure for winning. You think
- 7:03Speaker 1: datam feels the pressure? We them boys, them boys, about them?
- 7:08Speaker 1: We them boys? No, no, you you guys shot the
- 7:14Speaker 1: video a thirty point loss. Like an hour later they
- 7:17Speaker 1: they were fighting in the and trust me, trust me.
- 7:22Speaker 4: Pressure shows on a person's face. When a person's feeling pressure,
- 7:26Speaker 4: even if they don't say it, there's a difference in
- 7:30Speaker 4: the way they move that you can tell they're at
- 7:32Speaker 4: least concerned about something. Anytime I've watched Dallas, whether they
- 7:36Speaker 4: were being blown out or whether they were losing by
- 7:39Speaker 4: a little. Nobody ever looked like they were concerned for
- 7:42Speaker 4: their job. This is cool while it lasts, and if
- 7:45Speaker 4: it don't last, I do something else. Like they all
- 7:47Speaker 4: got videos to shoot later. That's how they played to me.
- 7:51Speaker 4: They play like they all got a video to shoot later.
- 7:53Speaker 4: Because because most teams co man and we'll move on.
- 7:56Speaker 4: We don't want you to feel bullied or singled out.
- 7:59Speaker 4: I just started.
- 8:00Speaker 1: I didn't even mean to start the conversation to the
- 8:02Speaker 1: most TEMs. I will always say, people, if you want
- 8:07Speaker 1: to the Jets, the Falcons, Cowboys, my Auburn Tigers team,
- 8:16Speaker 1: you got to start demanding that the team be good. Right,
- 8:22Speaker 1: not the owner, not the head coach, not the quarterback,
- 8:31Speaker 1: but the team right, be good. Because the twenty four
- 8:37Speaker 1: hour news cycle us on this side, we make it
- 8:40Speaker 1: seem like it's just two people. The only reason Dallas
- 8:44Speaker 1: losing is because Dak and Mike McCarthy, or Dak and
- 8:49Speaker 1: Jerry Jones, or we we just for some reason now
- 8:52Speaker 1: the other like city lamb on the team and make
- 8:55Speaker 1: it seem like that them other guys on the team,
- 8:59Speaker 1: they only struggling because Mike McCarthy is not calling the
- 9:03Speaker 1: right play or dak Ain't everybody hold on what they
- 9:08Speaker 1: got to do with run blocking? What does that have
- 9:10Speaker 1: to do with anything with running the ball or tackling
- 9:14Speaker 1: people or getting sacks? Nothing. The Falcons fire their defensive
- 9:19Speaker 1: coordinator Jimman like they were lasting sacks. You don't come in.
- 9:24Speaker 1: Last in sacks is not scheme. Last in sacks is personal. Yes,
- 9:31Speaker 1: that's not a scheme. You don't need a lot of
- 9:33Speaker 1: scheme to get some sacks. That's not Why what's the
- 9:39Speaker 1: kid for Pittsburgh which one number ninety? Why he don't
- 9:45Speaker 1: have them fifteen sixteen seventeen under his scheme? Yeah, because
- 9:49Speaker 1: of the package they put it. Putting in this three
- 9:53Speaker 1: seven two, put his hand in the dirt, and the
- 9:56Speaker 1: quarterback he knocked that dude in front of him either
- 9:59Speaker 1: into the quarter of back or to the side or
- 10:01Speaker 1: to the ground. And he goes and he gets the part.
- 10:03Speaker 1: So just everybody, we got a great show for you today.
- 10:09Speaker 1: I didn't mean to go I meant to start with
- 10:10Speaker 1: Southwest Airlines. I mean, have you guys been on Southwest?
- 10:14Speaker 1: They seem to have a lot of problems going on.
- 10:16Speaker 1: Not lately the Department of Transportation is suing him. The
- 10:21Speaker 1: flight delays. How does that work? Is that? Does that
- 10:25Speaker 1: sound like that's part of the by law? Now that
- 10:27Speaker 1: sounds like bullying Southwest. Enough of their employees just got upset, like, man,
- 10:36Speaker 1: I'm tired of missing our meeting because can you can
- 10:39Speaker 1: you can you find and sue people?
- 10:42Speaker 4: Yeah, like this is that they got federal loss that
- 10:45Speaker 4: if a flight is delayed too long, then you have
- 10:48Speaker 4: to refund me my money, you have to put me
- 10:50Speaker 4: on another flight at your expense, all of those kinds
- 10:53Speaker 4: of things.
- 10:54Speaker 1: When the last time he was on Southwest, I spent
- 10:56Speaker 1: about a year and a half, two years a year,
- 11:00Speaker 1: at least three four years.
- 11:02Speaker 4: Okay, so none of us recently have been on, but
- 11:05Speaker 4: when I did fly, it was major delay, got like
- 11:09Speaker 4: three four flights change.
- 11:11Speaker 1: That's what I wanted to ask, three.
- 11:13Speaker 4: Four flight changes and then you know, we may have
- 11:16Speaker 4: to land in this city for you to get to
- 11:18Speaker 4: another city. But they always equated with some sort of
- 11:21Speaker 4: weather or mechanical issue.
- 11:24Speaker 1: Okay, and they also as to go to break. They
- 11:28Speaker 1: arrested one of their pilots for intoxication that before we
- 11:34Speaker 1: got on the flight. We've all been arrested on the
- 11:36Speaker 1: plane for being drunk. Though right, Well, not when you're
- 11:39Speaker 1: supposed to fly the plane. You know, seats change, you
- 11:48Speaker 1: know it's America. But they did arrest them before you
- 11:51Speaker 1: had a chance of making the flight.
- 11:55Speaker 4: At airport. That that's us. We'll talk to the air
- 12:00Speaker 4: airport drunk, but we don't want to drink late because
- 12:06Speaker 4: he was out buying us drinks.
- 12:07Speaker 1: And we'll be back more to Sports Duck Show right
- 12:09Speaker 1: after this.
- 12:24Speaker 8: Joh'm bowl away board of the Sports John Show with
- 12:27Speaker 8: Wayne Dandius coming up next.
- 12:33Speaker 9: Returning military vets. They've served our country at home and tobroad.
- 12:37Speaker 9: They've slept in tanks, fox owls and even out in
- 12:40Speaker 9: the weather.
- 12:41Speaker 1: They've had our backs. Now we have there.
- 12:43Speaker 9: So Sports Chuck Man of Honor, Mister Scott Holliday, CEO
- 12:47Speaker 9: of Mattress Heroes USA, is giving back to the vents

- 13:37Speaker 1: Mind, walk a mile in my shoes. Walk a mile
- 13:40Speaker 1: in my shoes, Walk a mile in my shoes.
- 13:43Speaker 11: We've all felt left out, and for some that feeling
- 13:47Speaker 11: lasts more than a moment.
- 13:48Speaker 1: We can change that.
- 13:50Speaker 8: Learn how it Belonging begins with us dot org, brought
- 13:53Speaker 8: to you by the App Council.
- 13:55Speaker 1: Welcome all in the shoes.
- 14:00Speaker 12: I never realized that I'd be taking care of a
- 14:03Speaker 12: two year old and a nine year old on my own.
- 14:05Speaker 12: I think men can be a little stubborn sometimes, where
- 14:09Speaker 12: pride gets in the way and they may want the help,
- 14:12Speaker 12: they may not know how to ask. With my traditions,
- 14:15Speaker 12: with the family support in line and just with my
- 14:18Speaker 12: mind frame, I was able to turn a negative into
- 14:22Speaker 12: a positive. I knew I needed more tools on my
- 14:25Speaker 12: toolbox to take care of these little girls that just
- 14:28Speaker 12: lost their mother. It's time for me to be that
- 14:31Speaker 12: father that I knew I could be. I think just
- 14:33Speaker 12: being that good role model as well. That model's good
- 14:37Speaker 12: behavior in front of them, going to work every day,
- 14:40Speaker 12: coming home and being able to put on that smile.
- 14:43Speaker 12: The biggest reward about being a dad is sitting back
- 14:46Speaker 12: and watching your kids be happy.
- 14:50Speaker 13: Never stop being a dad.
- 14:51Speaker 1: That's dedication. Find out more at Fatherhood dot gov.
- 14:55Speaker 13: Brought to you by the US Department of Health and
- 14:57Speaker 13: Human Services and the AD Council.
- 15:02Speaker 1: And now back to the Sports job. Wayne Gandy.
- 15:07Speaker 9: The Jock of the Day is sponsored by Mattress HEROESUSA
- 15:10Speaker 9: dot com the sleep you deserve at a price.
- 15:12Speaker 1: You can afford.
- 15:14Speaker 14: No, no, no, no.
- 15:14Speaker 9: Now it's time to present the Jock of the Day
- 15:17Speaker 9: on The Sports Jock Show's.
- 15:19Speaker 1: Taking it to a completely different level this year.
- 15:21Speaker 9: Where we highlight an athlete that has taken their game
- 15:24Speaker 9: to the next level.
- 15:28Speaker 15: Let me do your go, Lester comfort, let me go,
- 15:36Speaker 15: let me, let me, let me compete.
- 15:51Speaker 1: Welcome back to the spot shock Shower. I'm the sport
- 15:53Speaker 1: stock Wayne Gamdy. Good morning to you as we roll
- 15:58Speaker 1: into another great week in NFL. Uh just similar to
- 16:04Speaker 1: the National Title Game, or as I like to call it, uh,
- 16:07Speaker 1: the p c L Super Bowl, which will be Monday
- 16:12Speaker 1: night between Ohio State Notre Dame. We got three Ohio
- 16:15Speaker 1: states and one Notre Dame going with Big Kenny from
- 16:21Speaker 1: South Bend, Indiana. Hey, it ain't what about an hour
- 16:24Speaker 1: and a half outside, you know, I gotta go with
- 16:27Speaker 1: the Midwest. Uh so Uh, Eagles will be hosting the
- 16:33Speaker 1: Rams bad pos.
- 16:36Speaker 16: What you got.
- 16:38Speaker 1: Eagles? Mc Kenny Rams, He's can't count commens Great Eagles. Okay, okay,
- 16:57Speaker 1: you know, keep the chain the future, even if you
- 17:04Speaker 1: know people to change the future. Fan for the Dandy Clan,
- 17:11Speaker 1: they change your future, help change mine too. I'm saying
- 17:15Speaker 1: crew play some fan. I'm telling you they gonna go
- 17:18Speaker 1: with the Horns the Goats. Yes. One of the big
- 17:22Speaker 1: stories coming going into this game, coming out of the
- 17:25Speaker 1: last game is one of the Eagles fans. And and
- 17:31Speaker 1: this is interesting because nothing physical happened. This is all
- 17:37Speaker 1: from what we see and what I saw in the
- 17:38Speaker 1: video all words, but Ryan called Well, an Eagles fan,
- 17:44Speaker 1: has been indefinitely suspended for and the game is in Philly,
- 17:52Speaker 1: so you imagine this would have been a game that
- 17:55Speaker 1: Ryan Calwell would have attended, but for repeatedly calling a
- 18:01Speaker 1: female Packer fan what we now call the C word,
- 18:08Speaker 1: they have banned him. At least it looks like they
- 18:11Speaker 1: plan on banning him for life and from this action,
- 18:16Speaker 1: which I guess for interesting to me because I have
- 18:21Speaker 1: been calling on some type of absolution for all this fighting.
- 18:28Speaker 1: Now I don't know in each and every case have
- 18:31Speaker 1: these been lifetime banns on the individuals that fight. But
- 18:40Speaker 1: this gentleman has been banned, and he's also, from what
- 18:44Speaker 1: reports are showing, has lost his job. Now we've had
- 18:48Speaker 1: this conversation before. Should you lose your job? Command you
- 18:53Speaker 1: beg Kenny bab Dusa in these type situations? Should this
- 18:59Speaker 1: be some that your employer? Now, the scenario I'm cool
- 19:03Speaker 1: with is if you're there in a representation of my company, right,
- 19:08Speaker 1: I mean I as the company sent you there. I'm
- 19:13Speaker 1: I'm bud like I sent you there as a bud,
- 19:17Speaker 1: or you went to the butt like seats, right, I
- 19:20Speaker 1: sent you there as the butt light ambassador, it's a.
- 19:24Speaker 4: Bud or whatever, it's a bud Light event, and you're
- 19:27Speaker 4: a bud Light employee and showed up and made like
- 19:32Speaker 4: and you just went to the Cowboy game as command
- 19:34Speaker 4: you Greg a Cowboy fan?
- 19:38Speaker 1: Should you should they have the right to fire you?
- 19:43Speaker 5: I would I would say no. I mean, if if
- 19:45Speaker 5: I'm representing the company, no, no, no no. If you
- 19:47Speaker 5: just went, if I just went as me, I would
- 19:50Speaker 5: say no.
- 19:51Speaker 1: But I I I.
- 19:54Speaker 5: See, I just see the path of how that happened.
- 19:56Speaker 5: Because what people like to do is they find the
- 20:00Speaker 5: to find that that person, information about that person, and
- 20:04Speaker 5: then use the Internet to shame them and whoever they represent,
- 20:09Speaker 5: like they, oh he works at this place, let's send
- 20:12Speaker 5: emails and make phone calls to shame them into letting
- 20:16Speaker 5: him go.
- 20:16Speaker 1: Producer. I don't.
- 20:19Speaker 7: I don't think he should have lost his job, like said,
- 20:20Speaker 7: he wasn't in capacity of being there. He's paid for
- 20:23Speaker 7: his ticket, he spent his money, he was there as
- 20:26Speaker 7: a fan. He should have lost his job, been Kenny,
- 20:30Speaker 7: What my personal life got to do with you?
- 20:33Speaker 4: No word for me, bud No, I'm asking you, supervisor
- 20:37Speaker 4: me and you badly get along at the job.
- 20:39Speaker 1: So you gonna question me about something you saw. Hey,
- 20:42Speaker 1: broh Hey, by your video, y'all need to come get y'all,
- 20:45Speaker 1: Manager brouh So, y'all need to come get y'all, Manager
- 20:50Speaker 1: broh So. Yet the Jets Patriot game and you was
- 20:53Speaker 1: yelling at the young lady.
- 20:56Speaker 4: I'm gonna. I'm finna go to the break room. I'm
- 21:00Speaker 4: see you after. Is it like the I mean, it
- 21:03Speaker 4: got nothing to do this. My personal life is am
- 21:06Speaker 4: I correct?
- 21:06Speaker 1: I'm with now. I mean me being employed by you
- 21:09Speaker 1: is part of my job description. Being a decent human
- 21:11Speaker 1: being outside of the job, is any of that part
- 21:14Speaker 1: of our agreement. I just have to handle my duties
- 21:18Speaker 1: that are dispensed to me by this job. If I
- 21:21Speaker 1: work for bud Light, I pour the beer, I take
- 21:24Speaker 1: the cans of beer, I brew it, whatever I do.
- 21:27Speaker 1: But then when I check out, if I go to
- 21:29Speaker 1: the botanical gardens and slap a little kid, that's on me. Well,
- 21:32Speaker 1: I mean, if you if that's on me still, I mean,
- 21:37Speaker 1: I ain't saying this it's fair. I'm saying that anybody,
- 21:40Speaker 1: because don't remember I asked you guys a couple of
- 21:44Speaker 1: months ago about corporate America from the structure of getting
- 21:49Speaker 1: the DUY. We talked about that last year, right, yes,
- 21:53Speaker 1: and how they handle those kind of things. And I
- 21:55Speaker 1: think you guys said they don't have the right to
- 21:58Speaker 1: fire you in those cases.
- 22:00Speaker 4: Not in not unless you are a contracted somehow clear
- 22:05Speaker 4: licensed driver, like if you're an ambulance.
- 22:08Speaker 1: Driver or no right and you just got a d
- 22:13Speaker 1: d u I. I work in the office, I don't drive,
- 22:18Speaker 1: but they still can't fire.
- 22:20Speaker 7: I think they may have to make that can't drive
- 22:22Speaker 7: or until the court case, whether you get a suspended
- 22:25Speaker 7: license or something at that point.
- 22:26Speaker 1: I don't I don't know. I don't think they can
- 22:29Speaker 1: terminate you directly until you go to court.
- 22:31Speaker 7: If your job requires that you use a company vehicle
- 22:36Speaker 7: and you get behind a wheel and you are found
- 22:39Speaker 7: guilty of a d u I in the company of.
- 22:44Speaker 17: A d u I.
- 22:45Speaker 1: Period.
- 22:45Speaker 4: But I'm saying, but complicate your ability to work for
- 22:49Speaker 4: that company and operate that.
- 22:52Speaker 7: Once you get pulled over, and then you bond it
- 22:53Speaker 7: out until you go to trial. I'm saying that you're
- 22:57Speaker 7: pretty much right, but I'm saying right. But I'm saying
- 23:00Speaker 7: and if you work in the office and you get
- 23:01Speaker 7: a d UI, then you could be the dispatcher.
- 23:04Speaker 1: You just a dispatcher with a d UI. You don't
- 23:07Speaker 1: drive nothing. Yeah, and this gentleman Ryan Carwell basically like
- 23:10Speaker 1: command you. Greg is saying. A lot of people called
- 23:13Speaker 1: him on a camera. They uploaded it, and I guess
- 23:17Speaker 1: the company saw it. I thought both offences was a
- 23:22Speaker 1: little extreme because there was no physical part to it.
- 23:26Speaker 1: There was no physical component right to it. Fights. I
- 23:30Speaker 1: believe arguments we're just gonna get you out here for
- 23:32Speaker 1: the rest of the season. But they seem like they're
- 23:34Speaker 1: going to ban this gentleman for life, at least for now.
- 23:40Speaker 1: The job thing. Like I said, unless you're there in
- 23:43Speaker 1: the capacity that I sent you as my representative, I
- 23:48Speaker 1: don't see how I have the right to fire you.
- 23:51Speaker 7: The only thing, well, go ahead. I just wanted to
- 23:53Speaker 7: go ahead real quickly. All this is setting up for
- 23:56Speaker 7: when visiting fans come. If you just jokingly say something
- 23:59Speaker 7: to the fan, now you're liable to subject to lose
- 24:01Speaker 7: your season tickets.
- 24:03Speaker 1: We'll be back more to Sports Jock Show right at this.

- 26:06Speaker 14: She thought she'd never have a permanent place to call home.
- 26:11Speaker 20: Before I was adopted, I felt like I wasn't enough.
- 26:14Speaker 20: I had this hole in my heart and I never

- 26:31Speaker 18: I am whole.

- 26:58Speaker 1: And now back to the Sport Job waing in the
- 27:05Speaker 1: red cur.
- 27:27Speaker 3: Time to get you want to go ahead us the point.
- 27:31Speaker 1: The second Welcome back to the Sport Shock Shop, the
- 27:35Speaker 1: Sport Shock Wing Candy, Good morning to you. How they're
- 27:39Speaker 1: listening Lane? I imagine we were talking about where is
- 27:44Speaker 1: the line drawn between uh, your job and in this
- 27:50Speaker 1: case Eagles fan been fired from his job and banned
- 27:54Speaker 1: from the stadium from a video where he was seen
- 27:59Speaker 1: berating a Packers fan in the stadium. I think as
- 28:05Speaker 1: a consensus of the crew, we felt like the extent
- 28:09Speaker 1: of firing a person at their job starts to put
- 28:13Speaker 1: a lot of things because then if this is the case,
- 28:19Speaker 1: I saw Big Kenny yelling at someone at the game.
- 28:25Speaker 1: I saw Big Kenny doing this or Big So you
- 28:28Speaker 1: wouldn't that just open the door. Basically, anything someone from
- 28:33Speaker 1: the company sees you do, you can be fired for
- 28:36Speaker 1: if it offends them. All it has to do is
- 28:39Speaker 1: offend your sensibilities.
- 28:41Speaker 4: I saw Big Kenny this dog went to lick him
- 28:44Speaker 4: and he pushed the dog away and was like, oh,
- 28:47Speaker 4: get your dog. He's abusive to animals, he's unfriendly, and
- 28:51Speaker 4: now I get fired from my job. I get into
- 28:53Speaker 4: an argument with somebody because they cut me off. And now,
- 28:58Speaker 4: oh yeah, you two prone the road rate? What where
- 29:00Speaker 4: does it stop? And had this just been two guys.
- 29:05Speaker 4: Now this is the thing.
- 29:07Speaker 1: I'll say this.
- 29:08Speaker 4: First, we've seen two guys punch each other bloody in
- 29:12Speaker 4: the stands, and I ain't hear about nobody going to jail.
- 29:16Speaker 1: I didn't even hear about anybody get out of the game.
- 29:19Speaker 1: They were just escorted. You go sit over there, change
- 29:23Speaker 1: seats with this game from over Yes, you you change seats, sir, sir.
- 29:27Speaker 4: Do you mind changing seats with this man? Go up
- 29:30Speaker 4: there and sit down, behave yourself. That's how they work
- 29:32Speaker 4: it out. If two guys are fighting. This man berated
- 29:35Speaker 4: a woman, true enough, I don't think she deserved it,
- 29:37Speaker 4: true enough, But still now it's turned into I got
- 29:41Speaker 4: to fill out a resume and start doing interviews for
- 29:44Speaker 4: a new job. Now, come on, man, we're going too
- 29:47Speaker 4: far with this. It's open and be honest for most
- 29:50Speaker 4: of us, especially if you're part of a fan base
- 29:56Speaker 4: that has a true what they call enemy. Everybody don't
- 29:59Speaker 4: have I have a true enemy. Everybody don't have a
- 30:02Speaker 4: joker to their batman. But some of us went to colleges.
- 30:06Speaker 4: Some of us support protems that actually have an arch enemy.
- 30:13Speaker 4: And I'm not going to just go to Tuscaloosa to
- 30:20Speaker 4: an Auburn, Alabama gang.
- 30:25Speaker 1: And sit anywhere keep my head on swivel. I'm just
- 30:29Speaker 1: not going to do that. I'm not and I definitely
- 30:32Speaker 1: if I have my kid, my wife, my mother gonna
- 30:39Speaker 1: take them under that pressure. I ain't never understood that understood.
- 30:44Speaker 1: I already know the chatter will start as the beer
- 30:49Speaker 1: flow in a college. Remember I came in intoxicated. I've
- 30:55Speaker 1: drank so much at the tailgate that even though the
- 31:00Speaker 1: arena is not even selling alcohol, I got my flame.
- 31:03Speaker 1: I'm gonna be drunk for the next four hours. Well,
- 31:05Speaker 1: you you didn't count a drinker, so I don't know
- 31:08Speaker 1: how long you didn't count. How drink you have to
- 31:10Speaker 1: drink to stay drunk for four extra hours.
- 31:14Speaker 4: There's the pre game before the tailgate, when you're getting
- 31:19Speaker 4: ready at the house.
- 31:20Speaker 1: That's eight am. That's about eight am.
- 31:22Speaker 4: Then about ten thirty eleven o'clock you get to the tailgate,
- 31:25Speaker 4: and then you start to go hard, like you know
- 31:27Speaker 4: pregame is just like six seven beers, a couple of shots.
- 31:29Speaker 4: When you get to the tailgate, it's when you start drinking,
- 31:33Speaker 4: you see what I'm saying. And so by three when
- 31:37Speaker 4: the game starts, probably about fourteen drinks on the light that.
- 31:41Speaker 1: And you got it's coming from the one when I
- 31:43Speaker 1: will sit my mom like even though I would either
- 31:48Speaker 1: the tickets are horrible tip back in those times. I
- 31:51Speaker 1: don't know how they are in the last since I
- 31:53Speaker 1: retired last fourteen years, but I knew to know that
- 31:56Speaker 1: they would sit you in some of the worst places
- 31:58Speaker 1: as a visiting team, Oh my god. But the comfort
- 32:02Speaker 1: you got was that there's gonna be three or four
- 32:06Speaker 1: hundred of the fans of your team in that area.
- 32:11Speaker 1: So even though it might be high up, I can
- 32:13Speaker 1: take some comforting knowing they're gonna be surrounded. But you
- 32:18Speaker 1: can't just send a Stiller fan and give them two
- 32:23Speaker 1: tickets to the dog Pound and then they're gonna show
- 32:28Speaker 1: up and some being Roethlisberger jerseys and these people in
- 32:32Speaker 1: these rubber dog mass it's not gonna go okay, That's
- 32:38Speaker 1: what I'm saying. They just take place, but it's not
- 32:40Speaker 1: gonna work out well. As long as the dog pound winning.
- 32:44Speaker 1: You cool, you're good. No, No, you're still gonna get insulted.
- 32:48Speaker 1: You're still gonna get insulted. Hey, why don't you come
- 32:50Speaker 1: on with a will winner, young lady. You're sitting there
- 32:53Speaker 1: with that loser.
- 32:54Speaker 4: You know you'll still get insulted, but it won't be
- 32:58Speaker 4: violent because if they start losing and you start trying
- 33:02Speaker 4: to talk trash boy, I don't know.
- 33:05Speaker 1: I remember being a Falcons game and a commander's fans,
- 33:09Speaker 1: so I can't. I can't do the gritty. The commanders
- 33:13Speaker 1: the name of it. That's one of them, and it happened.
- 33:17Speaker 1: That's the No, that's a limp in the That ain't
- 33:28Speaker 1: the grit. That's that's the giddy out of here. And
- 33:33Speaker 1: that's just how it typically is. So we will see
- 33:35Speaker 1: how far this extends. Interesting case, not just typically when
- 33:40Speaker 1: we've seen someone fired, it was they were also arrested.
- 33:44Speaker 1: So we've had a couple of since been on the
- 33:46Speaker 1: show that where the person, whatever they did, they got
- 33:50Speaker 1: arrested and then the company. But here right now, this
- 33:53Speaker 1: was just words that got recorded, and uh, the gentleman
- 33:57Speaker 1: lost his job. Speaking of words, Anthony Edwards find fifty
- 34:01Speaker 1: thousand dollars. Uh he flipped the official A bird for
- 34:08Speaker 1: fifty grand. Man. Now, we just said reported maybe about
- 34:12Speaker 1: two weeks ago a man couraged on TV for about
- 34:16Speaker 1: one hundred grand. Uh huh uh a man, he got
- 34:23Speaker 1: too much of the a in he does know he
- 34:26Speaker 1: is Minnesota, right, I'm just saying, my boy, when they come, no,
- 34:31Speaker 1: hold on, hold on, Shoty talking to me. He let
- 34:34Speaker 1: me tell you something, Twin. Listen, No, listen, No, this
- 34:36Speaker 1: what I'm trying to say though, folk Listen. No, I'm
- 34:40Speaker 1: down there with the rebound. I'm like fire. I hit
- 34:43Speaker 1: him with that fire and I rolled out. You feel me.
- 34:48Speaker 7: In other words he was saying, was once we roll out,
- 34:51Speaker 7: we get the rebound, and I made a great pass
- 34:53Speaker 7: and then the referee made a bad call.
- 34:55Speaker 1: Now I'm gonna have to hit him with this finger. Yeah,
- 34:58Speaker 1: y'all what yo yo showed in it shouted shouting, put
- 35:05Speaker 1: me on, put them one tweet tweint telling them what's up? Man. Well,
- 35:09Speaker 1: I'm saying that because you get a sense that in
- 35:12Speaker 1: the last year twelve month period of time, the NBA
- 35:16Speaker 1: is trying to and maybe the fines are steep against
- 35:21Speaker 1: ant because they are trying to mold him to be
- 35:24Speaker 1: the face of the league. If you look at a
- 35:27Speaker 1: lot of statistics, since about twenty ten, there's been a
- 35:31Speaker 1: big dip in the NBA as far as numbers, as
- 35:36Speaker 1: far as viewerships and popularity. We talked here all last
- 35:42Speaker 1: year about who could be the new face. It seemed
- 35:45Speaker 1: up until the Ja Morant incidents, they were to push
- 35:51Speaker 1: ruining him, and now since the especially last summer in
- 35:55Speaker 1: the Olympics, it looks like it was a conscious effort
- 35:58Speaker 1: to get a man to be that figure. Do you
- 36:03Speaker 1: think these they're being real? You know what I'm saying.
- 36:06Speaker 1: You can't find anyone outside of what the bylaws right
- 36:10Speaker 1: right say you can find them. So it's not like
- 36:12Speaker 1: you can make up a number, right It actually is
- 36:16Speaker 1: already a collective bargain agreement to these things. But you
- 36:20Speaker 1: think they're dropping that him a heart, trying to maybe
- 36:22Speaker 1: get him because you can't have the face of the
- 36:25Speaker 1: league getting on the mic. And so tw twen, hold on,
- 36:30Speaker 1: hold hold on, But do you want a reluctant leader?
- 36:34Speaker 1: Are you gonna force me to be the leader of
- 36:35Speaker 1: the truth? Be down twenty eight percent? I'm saying twenty
- 36:38Speaker 1: eight percent and I'm like, that's fed up, and y'all
- 36:41Speaker 1: keep coming to me with the microphone.
- 36:43Speaker 4: I'm gonna be my I can't be myself. Isn't that
- 36:46Speaker 4: who you drafted? And now you're gonna find me into
- 36:49Speaker 4: acting battle.
- 36:50Speaker 1: You're just saying the King and KD say they leaving
- 36:54Speaker 1: in twenty twenty. What them mother got to do it?
- 36:58Speaker 1: Like me seven? And they say leaving all folks, y'all
- 37:02Speaker 1: know what ne bro And that's really y'all know what
- 37:07Speaker 1: need brouh. And that's where Anthony Edwards is a lot
- 37:10Speaker 1: of time. Y'all know what it is like this is
- 37:13Speaker 1: I didn't. I didn't.
- 37:14Speaker 4: I didn't Kyrie irving you. I didn't start one dude
- 37:19Speaker 4: and then switched to uh rod your mock mock mature.
- 37:25Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. I didn't do that in
- 37:26Speaker 1: the middle of my career. I came in like twin.
- 37:31Speaker 1: I came in like twin. What's up from the a bro?
- 37:34Speaker 4: I ain't talking about from the outside he bro. I'm
- 37:37Speaker 4: talking about front the hey bruh.
- 37:39Speaker 7: When you had the guy bump the referee last night,
- 37:41Speaker 7: So let's see how much he get for pushing the.
- 37:44Speaker 1: Young lady in the game. He got suspended for a game, Yes, suspend.
- 37:50Speaker 1: How much did he get?
- 37:51Speaker 17: Fine?
- 37:51Speaker 3: Though?
- 37:51Speaker 1: That's my thing because no, no, no, no, this is
- 37:54Speaker 1: not being unfair. I'm not man. I'm quite sure he
- 37:59Speaker 1: shot the refereal bird. That's what fifty grand get you.
- 38:03Speaker 1: I'm saying, But it's it's it's it seems that he,
- 38:06Speaker 1: as we're saying, is a little reluctant to being pushed.
- 38:11Speaker 1: He has more of Charles Barkley in him than he
- 38:14Speaker 1: has a Michael Jordan. I am not a role model.
- 38:16Speaker 1: Y'all keep trying to make me raise little kids. I
- 38:19Speaker 1: don't even know you're well. I can't twirk be you know,
- 38:23Speaker 1: I can't be with Kwaivo. I'm not gonna let you
- 38:25Speaker 1: put me no like that. And you do have to
- 38:28Speaker 1: fight back. If Asia Willis says she will turn up, man,
- 38:32Speaker 1: we finish. You know, she's gonna put the little short
- 38:34Speaker 1: song and Twin I'm saying, Twin, come on now, but
- 38:40Speaker 1: it's turn up Tuesday the Blue Flame. What were gonna do? Twin? Hey,
- 38:45Speaker 1: she got the short song, she got a little fred
- 38:47Speaker 1: what up? You know what I'm saying. We dragging them
- 38:50Speaker 1: up in now? Now, whoever we drag out that's on
- 38:53Speaker 1: us and can't fire me for what I do outside
- 38:56Speaker 1: Like six put in some short I'm talking about some time.
- 39:00Speaker 1: We're going. We're going in the bass, right you get
- 39:09Speaker 1: in to.
- 39:09Speaker 8: Westown Jn't bow away or of the Sports Josh Show

- 40:28Speaker 1: Hi.
- 40:28Speaker 11: I'm Ryan Blaney, a third generation race car driver, and
- 40:30Speaker 11: we dedicate a lot of our time to going as
- 40:32Speaker 11: fast as possible. My Grandpa Lou is the reason why
- 40:35Speaker 11: my dad and I started racing, and I'm really proud
- 40:37Speaker 11: to follow on his tracks. But when my grandpa was
- 40:39Speaker 11: diagnosed with Alzheimer's, it was a very unexpected bump in
- 40:41Speaker 11: the road for us. I've learned a lot on this
- 40:43Speaker 11: journey with my Grandpa Lou, and the memories of my
- 40:46Speaker 11: grandpa will always be with me. It's important to notice
- 40:48Speaker 11: if older family members are acting differently, experiencing problems with
- 40:52Speaker 11: their memory, or having trouble with routine tasks. Talking about
- 40:55Speaker 11: Alzheimer's can be really tough, but if you notice something,
- 40:58Speaker 11: have a conversation with your loved one, encourage them to
- 41:00Speaker 11: see a doctor or offer to go with them. Early
- 41:02Speaker 11: detection of Alzheimer's can give your family time to explore
- 41:04Speaker 11: support services, make a plan for the future, and access
- 41:07Speaker 11: available treatments. The Alzheimer's Association provides care support and research
- 41:12Speaker 11: to help you take control of the situation with your
- 41:14Speaker 11: family and manage the disease together. If you or your
- 41:17Speaker 11: family are noticing changes, it could be Alzheimer's. Talk about
- 41:20Speaker 11: seeing a doctor together. Visit alz dot org slash time
- 41:24Speaker 11: to talk a message from the Alzheimer's Association and they
- 41:27Speaker 11: add counsel.
- 41:30Speaker 22: And now back to the sports job, Wayne Gandy log
- 41:54Speaker 22: on so you can see a sports jaint. I'll sing even.
- 42:01Speaker 1: Welcome back to this one shock shove this what shuck
- 42:04Speaker 1: wing Candy. Good morning to you, Big Kenny, command you
- 42:10Speaker 1: Greg bad producer all in the studio today, Commanders and
- 42:15Speaker 1: linons on Saturday night, Big Kenny, who you got lions? Okay? Okay?
- 42:23Speaker 1: Said it is strong from the d yes, command you Greg,
- 42:27Speaker 1: lions okay okay, okay. Got all your gas up, dassan
- 42:33Speaker 1: full tank spilled out a little bit. You know you
- 42:36Speaker 1: have to wipe the gas. You gotta do in the
- 42:41Speaker 1: little the little squeeze swegie gets and that's how gassed
- 42:47Speaker 1: up I am. That's why the commands you got truck
- 42:50Speaker 1: faded because you keep just letting it sit on there.
- 42:52Speaker 1: He won't take that extra step. Yeah, you got to
- 42:55Speaker 1: use the squeeze. You gotta get the sweegee and get
- 42:57Speaker 1: what you get the windows with and and put that
- 42:59Speaker 1: on the gas. Ain't didn't squeeze it. Don't let the
- 43:02Speaker 1: gas just dry up on. Over time it will fade
- 43:05Speaker 1: to paint. Eat it. What he didn't think we looked
- 43:11Speaker 1: at He didn't think we paid that much attention. He
- 43:15Speaker 1: didn't think we paid that much attention. Bad producer, Commanders
- 43:21Speaker 1: d C. You know what, Okay, okay, ron with your
- 43:27Speaker 1: dad huh.
- 43:28Speaker 7: Hell yeah, you know, riving with them Skins and Donnie. Hey,
- 43:33Speaker 7: it's a whole lot of they commanded crazy. No, no, no, seriously,
- 43:38Speaker 7: I've seen a lot of fans myself. I've seen a
- 43:42Speaker 7: lot of Commander fans popping up lately.
- 43:46Speaker 1: Coming out of hide and yeah that's not new fan.
- 43:50Speaker 1: Well most of them the name really, so they just
- 43:54Speaker 1: don't like the name. It's not so much they because
- 43:57Speaker 1: the Washington team is always had a great fan base. Yes, great,
- 44:01Speaker 1: They've always been one of the top three or four
- 44:04Speaker 1: teams in the league as far as consistent fan bases. Uh,
- 44:08Speaker 1: so we will see how that turns out. On Saturday,
- 44:11Speaker 1: command you, Greg sent me an article about Walgreens and
- 44:15Speaker 1: the CEO says that there's strategy of locking things up.
- 44:20Speaker 1: The negative side of that, if you go to Walgreens,
- 44:24Speaker 1: they kind of lock up a little small items that
- 44:27Speaker 1: you could just kind of grab from the shelves are
- 44:32Speaker 1: off the display. Yeah, that they have started locking up,
- 44:36Speaker 1: and he says sales are down because of that. Well,
- 44:40Speaker 1: it's not just that's just cause it takes a long
- 44:43Speaker 1: time for you to come. Well, we're just specifically talking
- 44:45Speaker 1: about Yeah, Yeah, people don't want to feel like they
- 44:51Speaker 1: have to go get somebody to get it.
- 44:53Speaker 4: Well, and then when you alert someone that I want
- 44:57Speaker 4: to get this, they have to be freed up from
- 44:59Speaker 4: whatever is they were doing before you and then.
- 45:02Speaker 1: Got to have the keys.
- 45:02Speaker 4: Possibly they don't unlock. You know, someone has to come up.
- 45:06Speaker 4: And then, you know, and I wanted was a new toothbrush.
- 45:13Speaker 4: I gotta wait fourteen minutes to get a toothbrush. I'll
- 45:16Speaker 4: just you know, I'll leave. So a lot of people
- 45:20Speaker 4: are just walking out because I don't have time for this.
- 45:23Speaker 1: And I think sometimes with like the Walgreens and they
- 45:26Speaker 1: kind of are mixed between your Walmart, Target and your
- 45:32Speaker 1: quick trip. Yeah kind of places where there are areas
- 45:36Speaker 1: where you can get conveyed away from Yeah. Yeah, because
- 45:42Speaker 1: that same item you can go to like Target or
- 45:44Speaker 1: say you go to Walmart and they're not locked up.
- 45:48Speaker 1: But to get those you got to go through a
- 45:50Speaker 1: parking lot. You gotta you know, whereas the Walgreens goes
- 45:54Speaker 1: right into the street, right, so it makes it a
- 45:58Speaker 1: little more convenient. It's in and out, in and out
- 46:01Speaker 1: more convenient. But no, but Target, you nine hundred miles
- 46:05Speaker 1: in the back. You're so far away from the front door.
- 46:10Speaker 4: I got then it's fourteen people in the checkout self
- 46:13Speaker 4: checkout line and I'm like, I hit the Dollar General?
- 46:18Speaker 7: What you pay if you I mean, I'm just saying,
- 46:20Speaker 7: if you want to pick up the they hadn't started
- 46:22Speaker 7: locking up the smaller items.
- 46:23Speaker 1: Well, And this is what this is what I've noticed
- 46:26Speaker 1: about a lot of places, like the only day with
- 46:28Speaker 1: the Dollar General. You have to make sure you check
- 46:30Speaker 1: the expiration date a lot of stuff on because that's
- 46:34Speaker 1: that's the only reason is that.
- 46:36Speaker 7: And make sure that it's the right You might go
- 46:38Speaker 7: in for Q tips and get J tips and I've
- 46:41Speaker 7: seen that you should have Dollar Tree because they well
- 46:44Speaker 7: I'm saying.
- 46:44Speaker 1: Whoever does it does it? They have jen any of
- 46:47Speaker 1: those places selling for a dollar.
- 46:49Speaker 4: Yeah, it's a experts right, like people they got like
- 46:53Speaker 4: drug tests in Dollar Tree. If you getting the drug
- 46:56Speaker 4: test out of Dollar Tree, you positive. You see what
- 46:59Speaker 4: I'm saying, you go plump. You gotta pup that drug.
- 47:03Speaker 4: Obviously you're trying to save money. You're trying to take
- 47:06Speaker 4: all your money for drugs. You don't even want to
- 47:08Speaker 4: know anybody this test for Asprint and ad Viel you
- 47:17Speaker 4: are getting fired, sir the bad producer. Oh man, you're
- 47:25Speaker 4: a funny guy. Funny guy and all that funny guy
- 47:32Speaker 4: and all that.
- 47:34Speaker 1: One thing before we were making predictions, one thing I
- 47:38Speaker 1: didn't see a lot talked about was last week, all
- 47:42Speaker 1: the and even going into this weekend with the NFL,
- 47:48Speaker 1: all the division winners are left. I haven't here, haven't.
- 47:54Speaker 1: When I turn on TV for a couple of minutes,
- 47:55Speaker 1: I do listen to sports shows, I haven't really heard
- 47:58Speaker 1: any of them. Like you know, there's four division winners
- 48:01Speaker 1: on each side. Everyone that won their division are the
- 48:04Speaker 1: teams that are left in the playoffs.
- 48:07Speaker 5: Except for one. Who is it the Bucks Buccaneers? Yeah,
- 48:14Speaker 5: the Commanders beat them. Oh yeah, the command Okay, that
- 48:17Speaker 5: is the one exception.
- 48:18Speaker 1: Thank you. I knew I was missing one, but for
- 48:20Speaker 1: some reason, but they had a better record than the Bucks.
- 48:23Speaker 1: Maybe that's why I kept thinking they were the division.
- 48:26Speaker 1: They did go on the road. The Commanders went on
- 48:28Speaker 1: the road to play the Bucks. So the playoff system
- 48:32Speaker 1: seems to work. When you get that kind of it validates.
- 48:37Speaker 1: You know, they keep trying to get rid of the
- 48:38Speaker 1: divisions and things like that, but it kind of gives
- 48:41Speaker 1: a little more validation to keep that process. And as
- 48:44Speaker 1: we were talking about, you have to keep some form
- 48:49Speaker 1: of rivalry. You got to keep some form when you
- 48:53Speaker 1: start just going completely wide open. College football is suffering
- 48:58Speaker 1: from some of that. You see them coming back trying
- 49:01Speaker 1: to get some of those rivalries back to play, the
- 49:04Speaker 1: people back to the game, the visitors back in. You
- 49:07Speaker 1: gotta create those games. But I'm gonna be.
- 49:09Speaker 7: Scared the visitor to go anywhere. Now you say something
- 49:12Speaker 7: to opposing fans, you might get sued. So well, and
- 49:17Speaker 7: to give it about that, Philly, I'm just talking about
- 49:20Speaker 7: any now. I mean, if you just if you Auburn
- 49:23Speaker 7: guy and you see the Alabama guy and all of
- 49:25Speaker 7: a sudden you say something elephants this, or say something
- 49:29Speaker 7: to them about the tide and the next thing you know,
- 49:31Speaker 7: you gotta dig you on video and the next thing
- 49:33Speaker 7: you're you're losing your job.
- 49:35Speaker 1: Sue these hands.
- 49:37Speaker 4: But I'm just saying, that's what I bet you. Sue
- 49:39Speaker 4: these hands for you. Sue me for saying something to you.
- 49:42Speaker 4: I bet you that's when I'm talking about. When you're
- 49:44Speaker 4: dealing with me, that's a guarantee. Ain't nobody gonna even
- 49:48Speaker 4: bet against.
- 49:48Speaker 1: We'll be after this times.

- 52:03Speaker 24: Wayne center Court on sports news gossip blah blah blah
- 52:13Speaker 24: blah blah.
- 52:58Speaker 1: What about this boy shaw? I'm just suck wing Ken
- 53:01Speaker 1: t the Bat producer, Kenny the Funny Man himself, comanch
- 53:04Speaker 1: you Greg in the studio today we have moved to
- 53:08Speaker 1: halfway through the month of January twenty twenty five. The
- 53:13Speaker 1: Australian Open is going on and interesting thing. When I
- 53:19Speaker 1: saw that and lightweight, I'll look over at it. I
- 53:24Speaker 1: am a person who enjoys tennis, being a father of
- 53:31Speaker 1: a college teneris player myself back in the day. But
- 53:38Speaker 1: is it time for the Australian Open to bake make
- 53:42Speaker 1: a big move to the summer. When you look at tennis,
- 53:48Speaker 1: the four majors French, US, Wimbledon, and the Australian Open.
- 53:55Speaker 1: The French, Wimbledon and US Open are all in the summer.
- 54:06Speaker 1: So basically we having the Australian Open now we won't
- 54:10Speaker 1: have the French until June. Is it the weather thing?
- 54:15Speaker 4: Yeah, summer in Australia is from December to February. But
- 54:19Speaker 4: it's indoors, which shouldn't make a difference. If I thought
- 54:27Speaker 4: those cases I thought it was I thought it was outdoors.
- 54:30Speaker 4: I thought it was outdoors. But if it's indoors, just
- 54:32Speaker 4: for the viewership.
- 54:34Speaker 1: Make sure, make sure maybe they have the maybe they
- 54:37Speaker 1: have those kind they can open end close.
- 54:40Speaker 4: A good buddy of mine, classmate of me and Donnie's,
- 54:44Speaker 4: Frank krump Pass.
- 54:47Speaker 1: He's got professional professional fully outdoor or do they close?
- 54:52Speaker 1: I want to ask him, Frank that particular that the
- 54:56Speaker 1: complex that they use. Yeah, they're outdoors. Okay, that's why.
- 55:00Speaker 1: But it's I don't know any other sport that has
- 55:04Speaker 1: majors that far apart, do you. I know you followed
- 55:08Speaker 1: golf more majors or April and then June, July and
- 55:14Speaker 1: then August they following sequence and so does and then
- 55:18Speaker 1: the Triple Crown and stuff that follows.
- 55:21Speaker 7: The only thing I could think of car racing is
- 55:24Speaker 7: about the only thing they have. Like they considered the
- 55:26Speaker 7: first race Daytona as the super Bowl in February. Yeah,
- 55:31Speaker 7: and then what is the next the next big one
- 55:34Speaker 7: is like June or July, and then the end of
- 55:37Speaker 7: the year.
- 55:39Speaker 17: Three.
- 55:40Speaker 7: I mean, like what they considered the dayton in October
- 55:43Speaker 7: October November, but they but they considered you know, you
- 55:46Speaker 7: got the Daytona five hundred the first one, and then
- 55:48Speaker 7: they considered a couple more big ones like Talladega at
- 55:51Speaker 7: the super Speedways Talladega, let me think of the other
- 55:54Speaker 7: two super Speedways Charlotte. Those are like Memorial Day weekend,
- 55:59Speaker 7: what's the Brickyard. That's Indianapolis. That's the ESA fourth for
- 56:03Speaker 7: July one, Like that's a Formula one No, but but
- 56:08Speaker 7: also Nascars went to Indianapolis now to incorporate that race,
- 56:14Speaker 7: also to bring that Indie field to NASCAR.
- 56:17Speaker 1: So those are like I said, but that's late summer
- 56:20Speaker 1: also okay, but maybe and you guys opened me up
- 56:23Speaker 1: for some reason, I thought it was hard. I know
- 56:25Speaker 1: it's hardcourt, but I thought it was inside because it
- 56:31Speaker 1: seems like a long time. You tell me in January
- 56:35Speaker 1: and then the next mate basically almost six months, right,
- 56:39Speaker 1: and then when it's not only when it's in the
- 56:42Speaker 1: middle of so much American loved sport, but the climb
- 56:48Speaker 1: Maax of that season, like football is so dominant right
- 56:51Speaker 1: now that I didn't know the Australian Open was going on.
- 56:55Speaker 4: And I have friends like you who have children who
- 56:58Speaker 4: play tennis. My friend Frank, like I said, his daughter
- 57:01Speaker 4: is a professional, and I still didn't know. And they've
- 57:04Speaker 4: been talking about it, and I was thinking this was
- 57:06Speaker 4: something that was coming up, But no, it's in the
- 57:09Speaker 4: middle of it and we're missing it.
- 57:11Speaker 1: Yeah, it just jumps on you and and my mindset.
- 57:14Speaker 1: I was thinking, Wow, there's a perfect time to kind
- 57:18Speaker 1: of shift and put this in.
- 57:21Speaker 17: Me.
- 57:21Speaker 1: You know, let me ask you something. Let me let
- 57:23Speaker 1: me ask you some sports.
- 57:24Speaker 4: Do you think that what we project upon some of
- 57:27Speaker 4: these sports like the golf, the tennis and the lack
- 57:31Speaker 4: of viewership is something that they had even noticed. I
- 57:35Speaker 4: mean maybe they're used to not getting a lot of viewership,
- 57:39Speaker 4: and the attention that's been poured on them in the
- 57:42Speaker 4: recent decade or so, it's just been a windfall. You know,
- 57:45Speaker 4: it's like gravy on our potatoes. We would have sustained
- 57:48Speaker 4: our core audience anyway. But then you know, Tiger came
- 57:52Speaker 4: along in golf and we've seen stuff like that. But
- 57:56Speaker 4: when will those people go away. We never really really
- 58:00Speaker 4: more than fifty thousand fans anyway, sort of go along
- 58:02Speaker 4: with which you say, we saw NASCAR. If you notice
- 58:05Speaker 4: NASCAR has went back to Atlanta's got two races again.
- 58:08Speaker 4: Used to for about like ten years.
- 58:10Speaker 7: Corporate America was telling me, you need to go to Texas,
- 58:13Speaker 7: you need to go to Chicago, you need to go here.
- 58:15Speaker 7: But your core fans who used to two races in Atlanta,
- 58:19Speaker 7: give me a race down in Darlton, South Carolina.
- 58:21Speaker 1: Give me a race up in Richmond or Rockingham. That's
- 58:24Speaker 1: coming back.
- 58:25Speaker 7: And those are the things that corporate has tried to
- 58:28Speaker 7: input because they put their money in saying this is
- 58:30Speaker 7: what we need to see, and this is where the
- 58:33Speaker 7: hotels and this is where everybody's gonna do.
- 58:35Speaker 1: But it's not panning out that way. Well, I would
- 58:37Speaker 1: have I would as a business, I would have to
- 58:40Speaker 1: look at, really, what's the one thing that the other
- 58:45Speaker 1: three majors have over me to where most likely I'm
- 58:52Speaker 1: going to be the last one that's remembered each and
- 58:55Speaker 1: every year. Everybody you know, it's Wimbledon. Everybody knows the
- 58:59Speaker 1: French openbody knows the US Open. As you're saying you
- 59:04Speaker 1: don't even know when Australian Open happens. Most of us
- 59:07Speaker 1: never know who even won it at the time that
- 59:12Speaker 1: it happens, and it could literally just be because we're
- 59:16Speaker 1: in January and the rest of them follow up in
- 59:20Speaker 1: the summer. And the same thing we talk about with
- 59:22Speaker 1: the WNBA. I think if I'm a WNBA owner, every year,
- 59:27Speaker 1: I'm pounding the table that we have to stop fighting
- 59:30Speaker 1: Sunday football. We cannot be having games, you know, instead
- 59:35Speaker 1: of having our Tuesday or whatever, because it's one day
- 59:38Speaker 1: of the week where the whole league doesn't play. To
- 59:41Speaker 1: me doing football. See, we got to be flexible Sundays.
- 59:45Speaker 1: We don't play doing football season right. So to the point,
- 59:50Speaker 1: we can't act like we have this fan base. A
- 59:53Speaker 1: lot of our fan base are just people who fall
- 59:55Speaker 1: into our sport, not that you know. Even Lebron James
- 59:59Speaker 1: was on their with the Kelsey Brothers admitting how the
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: NFL ran us over for Christmas for Christmas right now now,
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: and then he just had to be true man, y'all
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: killing us man and you gave him the Chiefs and
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: you gave them Beyonce right now, we't have a chance.
- 1:00:17Speaker 4: But we don't but we know how in business they
- 1:00:20Speaker 4: are business leaders, so I'm sure you know, like in
- 1:00:23Speaker 4: the fast food business, RB's just trying to stay in
- 1:00:27Speaker 4: the top five. You see what I'm saying. They never
- 1:00:29Speaker 4: trying to be number one. We know we're not gonna
- 1:00:31Speaker 4: take over the number one spot, but if we can
- 1:00:33Speaker 4: stay in top five.
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: Were cool.
- 1:00:35Speaker 4: So some years they move up to four and then
- 1:00:37Speaker 4: when they go back down to five, there in front
- 1:00:39Speaker 4: of and we can stay in front of Sonic.
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: That's all they're trying to do. That's all I Australian
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: Open trying to do is stay in front of uh right,
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: they trying to stay in front of the CFL. We'll
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: be back more than Sports Jock Show right after this,
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: Ah you is one don't Go Away or of.
- 1:01:08Speaker 8: The Sports Jock Show with Wayne Dan videos dumb and
- 1:01:11Speaker 8: up mats.
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: Hear that.
- 1:01:17Speaker 25: That's the sound of your life, perfectly imperfect, beating in
- 1:01:24Speaker 25: rhythm to the world you've created. But every time you
- 1:01:28Speaker 25: drive after drinking, the music gets drowned out. Your life
- 1:01:35Speaker 25: sounds pretty great. Don't let a buzz ruin it. Buzz
- 1:01:38Speaker 25: driving is drunk driving. Don't drive buzzed. A message from
- 1:01:42Speaker 25: Nit's in the ad Council.
- 1:01:43Speaker 6: Some people won't give you the real talk on drugs,
- 1:01:46Speaker 6: but it's time we know the facts. Fentanyl is often
- 1:01:49Speaker 6: laced into illicit drugs and used to make fake versions
- 1:01:52Speaker 6: of prescription pills. You can't see it, taste it, or
- 1:01:56Speaker 6: smell it. Suppliers mix fentanyl into their products because it's
- 1:02:00Speaker 6: and cheap, and the dealer might not even know. Keep
- 1:02:03Speaker 6: yourself and others safe by knowing the real deal on fentanyl.
- 1:02:07Speaker 6: Get the facts. Go to real deal on fentanyl dot com.

- 1:02:32Speaker 1: sports Shock Ship with Wayne Gandy.

- 1:02:41Speaker 3: me down? Dot com to Council Pocket. Yeah, it comes
- 1:02:45Speaker 3: to market. It's just jo.

- 1:02:52Speaker 3: I'm gonna go on the way you vegan. What do action?
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: This war shock show on the smart Shock Wayne Gandy
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: good more. I don't even tell you if you miss
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: any of that first hour after the show today. You
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: can go to Apple Podcast, Amazon Podcast, Audible, Deezer, iHeart Radio,
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: or Spotify and catch the replay of the show. Command
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: You Craig, Big Kenny, Bad Producer in the building today
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: before we start this hour. Texans Chiefs, Big Kenny, Texans
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: Bad Producer, Chiefs, Command Chi Chiefs. Okay, Okay, Sports Jock
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: and of the you know somebody you just gotta go
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: out with the home of I'm gonna go with the
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: Miko Ryan in the Texans. They got that swagger twin.
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: They turn it up. You just got to go out sometime.
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: The Texans. I know it's outside and they might get
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: caught a little that brisk when but the Texans, I'm
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: giving them just a little hope that they are catched.
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: That's a long time off for even the Chiefs. Basically
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: about three weeks of football they have missed, and the
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: Texans are moving along, especially on the defensive side. But
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: we will see one thing when you're talking about Nascar,
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: I love to see Nascar. I think one of the
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: things I saw. I'm not so much technical like you
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: to know which cities the races are in, but I
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: do know the personalities of NASCAR disappeared. Yes, when they
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: went to this kind of corporate, true corporate structure and
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: try to make everybody look almost like one racing team
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: that shows up in it from the NASCAR I used
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: to have. They had a little WW the w W
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: F W c W part to him. They had guys
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: you wanted to tune in, you know, and yeah, somebody
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: who's gonna show up. They ain't have they shirt. All
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: they have to the cowboy the heel. And then they
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: decided that, you know, and they lapped Ricky petted before
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: the time trials. This was a barbecue. He just walked
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: up to him, had a couple of many too many jacks,
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: and coach May slips and then somebody the wife was
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: sleeping with somebody's and then they decided that couldn't sell
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: us that they had fruit snacks. But they drew eyes
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: to it, drew eyes, but it drew the bron You
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: went super clean corporate. Then you just made it look
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: like cars driving and there was no personalities in them.
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: And that's just something for me. I'm not saying that
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: is the catalyst of why it faded. I think it's
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: just access to so many sports now, But I do
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: know that wrinkle of the w W E kind of thing,
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: right of yes, man, they might arrest so and so
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: for running into Big Kenny on that lap nine like
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: he knew he wasn't gonna win. He just Department of
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: Transportation investigation because it looked like it was intention And
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: I'm turning all this over. Then I'm gonna go to
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: I did. I'm gonna come into your.
- 1:06:33Speaker 4: Your crew in the pits and be like, hey, you
- 1:06:36Speaker 4: know I did that on purpose, and we're gonna scrap
- 1:06:38Speaker 4: with our hell it's off.
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: Yeah, it's it's still the point like aspect, it's it
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: drew to watch a little more. It's too much.
- 1:06:46Speaker 7: It's almost like the pit crew guys to change the
- 1:06:48Speaker 7: times like their robots.
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: It's like if they're not y'all color coordinated and stuff
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: like that, it don't look like the skull in the car.
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: Yeah no, no, Chattanooga too that I don't know about
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: what that is came out. They got to put the whole.
- 1:07:05Speaker 4: Now we gave up chattanooka chewide.
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: My grandmothers do snuff. Oh yeah, we got this. We
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: got this.
- 1:07:15Speaker 4: I thought they was doing snuff just for the taste,
- 1:07:17Speaker 4: but now stuff get you right, get you right. It
- 1:07:21Speaker 4: gets you to the day when I figured that out,
- 1:07:24Speaker 4: I was like, I saw my uncle.
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: And my ante real different things. You said, we got
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: some online comments.
- 1:07:30Speaker 4: Yeah, we do have some online comments, uh, from our
- 1:07:34Speaker 4: loyal online listeners that go back all the way to
- 1:07:36Speaker 4: the top of the hour. We have comments that said
- 1:07:42Speaker 4: the uncle Charlie said that he knew something was wrong
- 1:07:45Speaker 4: because his last flight should have been two to three hours,
- 1:07:48Speaker 4: but they went to sixty five states and then finally.
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: And he said, myself sadlines right.
- 1:07:56Speaker 7: Uh.
- 1:07:57Speaker 4: Jared Lloyd said the Eagles fan coincidentally worked for diversity
- 1:08:00Speaker 4: and inclusion company. He did he did, nothing says diversity
- 1:08:06Speaker 4: like firing you for living your own life.
- 1:08:09Speaker 3: Uh.
- 1:08:09Speaker 4: Then Uncle Charlie said, hopefully man won't show up locked
- 1:08:12Speaker 4: and loaded, because you know he from the he you
- 1:08:15Speaker 4: know he keep that five, keep the switch, keep that
- 1:08:17Speaker 4: switch right. And then uh, Jared said the Rams and
- 1:08:20Speaker 4: Texans were underdogs even as division winners, beating uh, world
- 1:08:25Speaker 4: class teams with better wild wildcard teams. I'm sorry, with
- 1:08:29Speaker 4: better records. And then he says summer in Australia, but
- 1:08:33Speaker 4: we knew that, and Coo Bosle says, snuff was wrong.
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: No, snuff is wrong. But he had the right spirit.
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: But the Rams and the Texans did win their division. Yes, yes, yeah,
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: he said right, he said everybody. Everybody was wild card
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: because it was Super wild Card. Yeah. And for those
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: that watched the Rams, I was part of a team
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: with Katrina. You're not gonna beat those teams that's fighting
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: for the city. We went and played Carolina had no chance.
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: We ain't win in like three games that whole season.
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: The first game we played after Katrina was Carolina Panther.
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: And the people that were in the shelters would say,
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: y'all gonna win on Sunday. So now it's a demand
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: that you're gonna win on Sunday. You bring us something, something,
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: give us something to talk about. We would hold want
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: us to go play. Yeah, go play for us, Go
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: play for us in trouble then and that's you come back.
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: One of the biggest posts I have in my house
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: is of that game that Carolina had no chance. I
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: don't even I want to know if I took a breath.
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: The people in the shelters say they need to win today.
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: The shelter people in San Antonio that no longer have
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: their house that's living down there from the aircraft craft.
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: Shelter said, they need a victory. It's the same thing
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: about LA people ask me whatever.
- 1:10:14Speaker 4: The people standing in smoke, they standing in smoke on
- 1:10:18Speaker 4: some win. You think they disappointed. Biggest thing that.
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: People keep fit forgetting about sport is motivation. Finding the
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: motivation to want to do something is what it sells you.
- 1:10:33Speaker 8: Now.
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: That means it can go back and forth. But it's
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: the little It's the great game after the bad game.
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: It's daddy just passed and daddy loved football, right, and
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: today I don't feel like being tackled. So who over there?
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: Like a reservation.
- 1:10:57Speaker 17: We have.
- 1:11:00Speaker 7: That we have witnessed on Monday night football a couple
- 1:11:02Speaker 7: of years ago. Remember the young man lost his brother
- 1:11:05Speaker 7: just that hour for the game. I mean, that's supernatural.
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: I don't want to fight this dude. This dude, you
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: tell me if daughter passed away last night now, but
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: he still showed up. Right.
- 1:11:16Speaker 4: We got my cousin listening to Cleveland Kirkley. He said
- 1:11:19Speaker 4: the Rams and Texans were in weak divisions. But I
- 1:11:21Speaker 4: reminded him, you can only play those people who are
- 1:11:23Speaker 4: on your schedule. A lot of people go you as
- 1:11:24Speaker 4: in a weak division where I didn't have nothing.
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: To do with that.
- 1:11:27Speaker 4: Yeah, they set that up and we just were better
- 1:11:31Speaker 4: than they were. So and we all got the name professionals.
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: So you just can't say, yeah, yeah, it's not it's
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: not as dramatic as college when people make that statement.
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: In college, yeah, you can hold a little more. But
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: in pro I wouldn't say that was a weak division. Seahawks,
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: Oh that that was a good division. To forty nine
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: just had a whole bunch of injury. They couldn't win
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: games because they couldn't get the same and they were
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: trying to get there, and they were more worried about
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: fascials until the last couple weeks. A tight division does
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: not make it a bad division.
- 1:12:13Speaker 13: Like that.
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: I don't think they're equal. I mean shows that the
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: division is tough to play it to they win like
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: ten or less games.
- 1:12:21Speaker 5: It's looked at that that way. But if the other
- 1:12:24Speaker 5: teams have eight or nine wins, if it's that close.
- 1:12:27Speaker 7: I mean you go back to the SEC this year,
- 1:12:29Speaker 7: I mean real talk, anybody looking at SEC. It was
- 1:12:31Speaker 7: like you see teams with two and three losses normally
- 1:12:34Speaker 7: only have one loss, but just because in the last
- 1:12:36Speaker 7: two years, how things have changed.
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: Like Alabama Luson twice in the season. So CT is
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: still the most dominant conference. You pundits out there that's
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: waiting on the demise must not watch the game and
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: you're just looking at the scores. The SEC's problem is
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: that they beat each other up. Well that's what they
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: beating each other in the division. They don't really need
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: the rest of you. I'm waiting on them to embark
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: off by themselves because weekend and weekend out Georgia. What
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: did you think they were gonna play Texas and then
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: travel to Knoxville and then go to Tuscle looser, and
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: then come back and play the cocktail party against Florida
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: who's supposed to be down this year, and then flying
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: LSU team in at home. These are all the teams
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: you know, all the teams you basically know in college
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: football is where SEC. Thank you.
- 1:13:34Speaker 4: I mean that drives college football viewership. The SEC games.
- 1:13:39Speaker 4: They always put them on prime time, they always put
- 1:13:41Speaker 4: them as the game.
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: You take Miami, Clemson and Florida State, Ohio State and
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: Michigan in Oregon and the rest of the SEC, and
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: that's I'm the only college football games you watch pretty
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: much as soon as Dean Lee to Colorado and go
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: to Dallas or Raiders, and y'alla be folding up those
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: Colorado Buffalo shirts. Sure will, so we'll be back. They're
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: putting away them golf sunglasses because you didn't watch Colorado
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: since Cordel Stewart. So we'll be back the enemy and
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: that's even further Bana.
- 1:14:40Speaker 8: John Bowl, Wayne Born of the Sports Josh Hill with
- 1:14:42Speaker 8: Wayne Dantidius coming up next.
- 1:14:46Speaker 13: And sitcoms when someone has a problem, they just blurt
- 1:14:49Speaker 13: it out and move on.
- 1:14:51Speaker 18: Well, I lost my job and my parakeet is missing.
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: How is your day?
- 1:14:57Speaker 13: But the real world is different. Managing life's challenge just
- 1:15:00Speaker 13: can be overwhelming.
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: So what do we do? We get support.
- 1:15:03Speaker 13: The Huntsmand Mental Health Institute and the ad Council have
- 1:15:06Speaker 13: mental health resources available for you at Love Yourmind Today
- 1:15:09Speaker 13: dot org. That's Love your Mind today dot org. See
- 1:15:12Speaker 13: how much further you can go when you take care
- 1:15:14Speaker 13: of your mental health.
- 1:15:18Speaker 26: Have you noticed bad behavior has become normalized at interscholastic
- 1:15:21Speaker 26: athletic events. Some are fancy and angry.
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: They lack civility towards one another.
- 1:15:27Speaker 26: Some even get aggressive and unruly.
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: Time out.
- 1:15:32Speaker 18: What is going on? This has to stop.
- 1:15:36Speaker 26: Let's not forget school sports aren't just about winning, and
- 1:15:40Speaker 26: they're definitely not an excuse to take your frustrations out
- 1:15:42Speaker 26: on the official or the opponent. They are about teaching
- 1:15:46Speaker 26: lessons like perseverance, respect and empathy so.
- 1:15:50Speaker 18: Students can learn and grow as.
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: People, not just as players.
- 1:15:54Speaker 26: We all have a role to play in setting a
- 1:15:56Speaker 26: good example for our students and teaching them these important
- 1:16:00Speaker 26: I'll use so fans, it's time to step up your
- 1:16:03Speaker 26: game and behave positively at interscholastic athletic events in Georgia.
- 1:16:08Speaker 8: This message presented by the g hs A and the
- 1:16:10Speaker 8: Georgia Athletic Directors Association.
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: And now back to the sports giant, Wayne Gandy canceled
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: Jimini Every virgo capacor libro piscey scorpio, sa terrio taora
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: center can butt them le your birthday, Yes, this is

- 1:16:36Speaker 1: some birthday? Yes the shold day, pits a birthday? Oh
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: your favorite holiday? Pit's birthday birthday. Walking back to this boy,
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: shock Shock, I'm the sport shock Wayne Gang and I
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: know that a lot of you with that statement about Colorado,
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: and it's a it's just how we are. In the
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: eighties early nineties, the Georgetown Hoyas was must watch basketball
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: under the first John Thompson. Yes, after that John Thompson left,
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: people stopped watching Georgetown basketball. They thought he had came
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: back when his son started coaching out of retirement. They
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: didn't even realize. No, his son just came back. Now,
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: it wasn't him. Un LV. I used to run home
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: from parties when I was in college to watch them play. Yes,
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: the running rep Park Sharks. I haven't seen a UNLV
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: basketball game maybe twenty years or more. The Michigan Fab
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: five was a phenomenon that everybody need to take part
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: and watch. But we very few of us know who
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: played for that team. But Kenny said, Jackson State, it's
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: to say left, but no one is applauding at Jackson
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: State won the championship this year. And if I bet
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: I'm a dollar, they couldn't tell me the head coach's name.
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: Caitlin Clark's IOWA team. How many times have you tuned
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: in this year to see them? We didn't name another
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: player when she was there, and It really is just
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: like that. So it's the same thing. Don't fool yourself
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: that you're watching for the team. You're watching for a
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: personality or a person You will tune in to see
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: Michael Vick. Now you're not going to turn in to
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: see Michael Vick like you did Dion because of the personalities.
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: Mike persona is more than You're just endearing to Mike Vick.
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: Dion's is Dion is a celebrity. He always sold himself
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: as a celebrity. He was the Kardashians before. It must
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: be the money, it was prime time. I mean, you know,
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: man named himself. I mean, and we let him get
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: away with it most of the time. You can't just
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: give yourself a nigga, can't just give yourself for your name.
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: I see what I'm saying right there, Jered Ciryl Juice
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: for birthdays here today and going into the week. Let
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: me get the last what's my not the same one?

- 1:27:42Speaker 1: sports Shock Wayne Gandy. Word out of LA with the Chargers.
- 1:27:47Speaker 1: Uh until those uh still dealing with the fallout of
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: the LA wildfires. We still are keeping you in our
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: spirit and well witch wishes U out. There are a
- 1:28:00Speaker 1: lot of stories and it's so funny when these things happen.
- 1:28:03Speaker 1: Everybody just wants to blame and try to you know,
- 1:28:07Speaker 1: sometimes think about it, if if whoever you're trying to blame,
- 1:28:12Speaker 1: this is their first time going through it, Maybe give
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: them that leeway. Everybody wants to say the mayor or
- 1:28:19Speaker 1: the fire chief. Well, all that sounds good and a
- 1:28:22Speaker 1: simulator until somebody really comes in your office and tell
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: you that half of Hollywood is burning. You thought you
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: had a plan, right, come you well? And yeah, you know,
- 1:28:35Speaker 1: I said, if I said, the two trucks here and
- 1:28:37Speaker 1: the nine trucks here, I thought, but then the wind
- 1:28:39Speaker 1: blew and next thing you know, I'm serious. People, Oh, yes, that.
- 1:28:49Speaker 4: Echoed idea or thought I had this morning when we
- 1:28:52Speaker 4: were talking about the California fires and the insurance industry,
- 1:28:57Speaker 4: they have a worst case scenario project in their mind
- 1:29:00Speaker 4: that if everything goes left, what it'll look like, and
- 1:29:04Speaker 4: that was nothing like what happened. Their worst case scenario
- 1:29:09Speaker 4: was far exponentially exceeded, like, if everything goes wrong, this
- 1:29:15Speaker 4: is what we're expecting. Now, multiply that by one hundred,
- 1:29:18Speaker 4: and that's what they got. And people are like, oh,
- 1:29:20Speaker 4: you should have and it's and a fire chief lost
- 1:29:25Speaker 4: his home and he said that it was there was
- 1:29:29Speaker 4: nothing anyone could do. It was unlike anything we've ever seen.
- 1:29:33Speaker 4: Imagine a hurricane on fire. That's where we were and
- 1:29:39Speaker 4: that's what you were left with.
- 1:29:41Speaker 1: So I just, you know, everything I started reading, it
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: started becoming trying to place, and it's like, I'm quite
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: sure any and everybody could have did a better job,
- 1:29:50Speaker 1: and we'll learn from the next time. And maybe I'm
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: speaking because you know, being part of that Saints team
- 1:29:55Speaker 1: and went through Katrina, everybody thought all the answers you
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: should I know we already thought about this, right, No, No,
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: we didn't really.
- 1:30:04Speaker 4: Now if we'd have thought about that, we'd never put
- 1:30:06Speaker 4: them in the super Dome had we thought it wasn't safe.
- 1:30:08Speaker 1: I mean, we didn't think that anything could tear the
- 1:30:11Speaker 1: super Dome down. So you know, just be blessed. This
- 1:30:14Speaker 1: should figure out how to make the next time, if
- 1:30:16Speaker 1: it unfortunately has to happen, how we can learn from
- 1:30:19Speaker 1: this and have a better system the next time. And
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: we were talking about the insurance. I saw something where
- 1:30:26Speaker 1: the governor of California see minute that the insurance companies
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: had to live up and they could not cancel anyone
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: for like a year's time. So they can't drop anybody
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: for filing acclaim. We do no Like when the Florida
- 1:30:44Speaker 1: storms came through, a lot of those reports are how
- 1:30:48Speaker 1: the adjusters were low balling and things like that. So
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: sadly this just is our crazy country. But Jim Harbaugh,
- 1:30:57Speaker 1: that's how it started with La Chargers. He is going
- 1:31:00Speaker 1: to address that cardiac issue he had. Remember before the game,
- 1:31:05Speaker 1: he had some kind of heart issue. He says he's
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: going to have two surgeries something to correct that cardiac issue,
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: and he has to have a hip replacement. And I
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: was watching him walk this offseason, and I kept thinking
- 1:31:22Speaker 1: something needed to be replaced, because Jim's what sixty two
- 1:31:28Speaker 1: right right there, right around there, he was kind of
- 1:31:32Speaker 1: struggling up and down that sideline like maybe he was
- 1:31:34Speaker 1: eighty five. I was like, man, it looks like that
- 1:31:37Speaker 1: that's the movement of something that needs to be replaced,
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: not something that you can just put a brace or
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: a sleeve on. He was like really having some issue.
- 1:31:47Speaker 1: And then when I saw this report, I was like, oh, okay,
- 1:31:50Speaker 1: he needs a hip. So he's going to try to
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: address both of those issues. And as I said, when
- 1:31:56Speaker 1: your heart start messing up, I don't know, we just
- 1:31:59Speaker 1: can't go home. Jim, Well, you know got a different
- 1:32:03Speaker 1: Well you're six, I'm saying social Security. You got the
- 1:32:08Speaker 1: one hundred million you made coaching college, that little bit,
- 1:32:11Speaker 1: you got seventy million you made coaching football, that little
- 1:32:14Speaker 1: piece of change, straight right, and you got your you
- 1:32:17Speaker 1: got your player retirement check. And coaching retirement check. But
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: I want I'm a one of those. But I got
- 1:32:25Speaker 1: to compete.
- 1:32:25Speaker 10: Man.
- 1:32:26Speaker 1: It ain't even about the money, because I love the game,
- 1:32:29Speaker 1: but about that, I'm kind of you. I can love
- 1:32:32Speaker 1: the game. In the second quarter of grab left on me.
- 1:32:35Speaker 1: I'm gonna die what I love doing. They don't say.
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: They say that man went out like what he loved
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: doing went out. Yeah that's all they say about Jim.
- 1:32:47Speaker 1: Yeah that's all you heard about him. He did go
- 1:32:51Speaker 1: out on the couch Jim watching the game.
- 1:32:54Speaker 7: But that's not thrilling, you know, that's not That's not
- 1:32:57Speaker 7: the thing that the America and the people to see.
- 1:32:59Speaker 1: I am one easily be a d I don't want
- 1:33:04Speaker 1: to be talking.
- 1:33:05Speaker 14: I want.
- 1:33:08Speaker 1: That feeling.
- 1:33:08Speaker 7: I want to be able to compete, Like I'm so
- 1:33:11Speaker 7: close that I could go out there and suit up.
- 1:33:13Speaker 7: Now that's why Jim Hart, that's a man that don't
- 1:33:18Speaker 7: care about his heart.
- 1:33:19Speaker 1: If he's saying that I want to go, that's how
- 1:33:22Speaker 1: close I want to be to the action.
- 1:33:23Speaker 4: If that's truly in his spirit, then via condos. But
- 1:33:29Speaker 4: if he's just out there trying to be a tough
- 1:33:32Speaker 4: guy's time that last moment he would think to him, stuff, Man,
- 1:33:37Speaker 4: I could have been at home. I could have been
- 1:33:40Speaker 4: sitting on my couch right now instead of lipping up
- 1:33:42Speaker 4: and down this sideline.
- 1:33:43Speaker 7: Because so you know, look at it. If he if
- 1:33:45Speaker 7: that was the case, he would have just stayed in Michigan.
- 1:33:47Speaker 7: But Greg just recently said the blowback of the National
- 1:33:52Speaker 7: Championship and all the other stuff. But like I said,
- 1:33:54Speaker 7: he's just a competitor that seeing him through the years,
- 1:33:56Speaker 7: watching him play at Michigan to playing and.
- 1:33:59Speaker 1: Now watch them how you coach man? It's hard for sir,
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: I understand that.
- 1:34:03Speaker 4: But for me, one of the greatest understandings I'm matured
- 1:34:08Speaker 4: to understand was like the line from the movie American
- 1:34:12Speaker 4: Gangster quitting, why you ahead ain't the same as quick?
- 1:34:15Speaker 17: And you know what?
- 1:34:16Speaker 1: And that's what I would say to.
- 1:34:17Speaker 7: Jim and sports John Mike can a test have something different?
- 1:34:22Speaker 7: But the only person I think that did something to
- 1:34:24Speaker 7: leave like that was Joe Gibbs. We don't really know
- 1:34:27Speaker 7: why he left coaching that the early part, but he
- 1:34:29Speaker 7: went into that form of race and to put a
- 1:34:32Speaker 7: race team together.
- 1:34:32Speaker 1: But like I said, it's that competitive thing with me
- 1:34:35Speaker 1: with Jim Harbon, Bill Cowell went into he retired and
- 1:34:38Speaker 1: never came back. Yeah, he was only about maybe fifty
- 1:34:44Speaker 1: two fifty three that time. But and there was jobs
- 1:34:47Speaker 1: he was linked to the jobs. Yeah, he didn't begging
- 1:34:50Speaker 1: him to come coach. So but once again, though, do
- 1:34:54Speaker 1: we know the underlying was there something that we're just sharing?
- 1:35:00Speaker 1: Ain't that the man had a heart issue and need
- 1:35:03Speaker 1: a new hip? Sounds like enough to say at his
- 1:35:07Speaker 1: age and his accomplishment as a player and a coach,
- 1:35:11Speaker 1: you could go home now your need and satisfaction to
- 1:35:15Speaker 1: have him down the sideline for your pleasure. Okay, maybe he'll.
- 1:35:19Speaker 17: Do that for you.
- 1:35:22Speaker 1: That's what it sounds saying. You saying that at sixty two,
- 1:35:27Speaker 1: and you gotta take me a hip, Well, I gotta
- 1:35:29Speaker 1: be up on it all the time and put me
- 1:35:32Speaker 1: back on the field and one of the most stressful occupations.
- 1:35:40Speaker 4: Just I'm saying you done dodge two federal indictments and
- 1:35:43Speaker 4: a state investigation.
- 1:35:45Speaker 1: Gone get out the game, Gone get out the game.
- 1:35:49Speaker 1: I mean, you got a couple of cars, you gotta
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: just running the Washington matt You've got, you gotta laundro mat.
- 1:35:58Speaker 1: Just from standing in the doorway of that It every day.
- 1:36:00Speaker 1: I don't know, but this is ain't you don't risk
- 1:36:04Speaker 1: it no more, is what I'm saying. It's not worth
- 1:36:05Speaker 1: it anymore. Bo Jackson is giving up his twenty one
- 1:36:09Speaker 1: million dollar judgment in the suit versus his niece and nephew.
- 1:36:13Speaker 1: Now reading this Comanche, it means Bo was the judge
- 1:36:19Speaker 1: ruled in Bo Jackson's favor right that the niece and nephew,
- 1:36:23Speaker 1: the Anderson's were trying to extort money from him. Right,
- 1:36:27Speaker 1: So basically Bo is saying telling them, don't worry about
- 1:36:31Speaker 1: the money, right, just stay away from me. Okay, that's
- 1:36:35Speaker 1: kind of how you know, how they write it up.
- 1:36:37Speaker 1: They almost try to confuse you like it, So which
- 1:36:39Speaker 1: way you're saying this is going?
- 1:36:41Speaker 17: Right?
- 1:36:42Speaker 1: So last year, last February, I want to say, the
- 1:36:45Speaker 1: judge did rule that Bo had proven the case Thomas
- 1:36:51Speaker 1: Anderson and Erica Anderson, who had tried to extort money
- 1:36:56Speaker 1: by saying they were going to put certain rumors out
- 1:36:59Speaker 1: or whatever information they had about Bow on display. He
- 1:37:03Speaker 1: won that judgment of twenty one million, but has decided
- 1:37:08Speaker 1: to drop it at this point, so because he know
- 1:37:13Speaker 1: y'all ain't got it. We know y'all ain't got the
- 1:37:15Speaker 1: marty and he probably just went He probably just wanted
- 1:37:19Speaker 1: the verdict that you couldn't say any something, right, you
- 1:37:21Speaker 1: couldn't say something about the money. I was using the
- 1:37:23Speaker 1: money amount maybe to get you to get there quicker, right,
- 1:37:28Speaker 1: you know. So we will see, and I'm quite sure
- 1:37:30Speaker 1: that's not the last time we will hear. We hear
- 1:37:32Speaker 1: a lot of extortions. And you know, Dwight Howard just
- 1:37:38Speaker 1: recently went through that kind of extortion case and came
- 1:37:42Speaker 1: out on the better end of it. And you see
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: how fast that went away completely. Just here. He took
- 1:37:48Speaker 1: all their took all their heart from that, right not
- 1:37:52Speaker 1: he beefing with Shaq again again with the shackster. What
- 1:38:00Speaker 1: use we have here? Caitlyn Clark, her stalker, has been arrested,
- 1:38:05Speaker 1: charged with a level five felony of stalking. In her case,
- 1:38:12Speaker 1: he was out of Texas. If I remember this correctly, yes,
- 1:38:17Speaker 1: is her stalker had came up to a couple of
- 1:38:22Speaker 1: games and like some kind we found our phone number.
- 1:38:25Speaker 4: He had been leaving around the house, they said, violent
- 1:38:29Speaker 4: sexual messages and telling her well he had come and
- 1:38:34Speaker 4: a couple of times gotten hotel rooms near the arena.
- 1:38:38Speaker 4: And said he had driven by her house several times
- 1:38:40Speaker 4: a day and things like that. Don't call the police.
- 1:38:43Speaker 1: Hit.
- 1:38:44Speaker 4: But I'm still I always wonder, like who finances stalkers?
- 1:38:49Speaker 1: Like who finances crazy people?
- 1:38:50Speaker 4: Like you actually went out and had a decent life first,
- 1:38:53Speaker 4: Like you can afford a hotel near the stadium. You
- 1:38:58Speaker 4: know what I'm saying, All of that costs travel from
- 1:39:00Speaker 4: Texas to Indiana. You you managed to be that well adjusted,
- 1:39:04Speaker 4: well and you still just well. Remember when you're a
- 1:39:08Speaker 4: fan of something, that means that's where you put your money.
- 1:39:12Speaker 4: So if that's the number one place you put your money,
- 1:39:16Speaker 4: you can be part of something that seems like you
- 1:39:20Speaker 4: can't afford. But if that's all you, if you're willing
- 1:39:23Speaker 4: to eat canned beans and spend all the good rest
- 1:39:27Speaker 4: of the money on going to a game. That's one
- 1:39:32Speaker 4: thing I learned when I went to Pittsburgh to play
- 1:39:33Speaker 4: with the Steelers. Those guys have season tickets, but it's
- 1:39:37Speaker 4: not like they make millions of dollars. That's just where
- 1:39:41Speaker 4: they're going to put their extra five hundred dollars a month.
- 1:39:45Speaker 1: They're going to go season tickets, right, So it's one
- 1:39:49Speaker 1: of those kinds of things. We'll be back more to
- 1:39:50Speaker 1: Sportstock Show right after this Don't Go Away, or.

- 1:42:31Speaker 22: And now back to the sports Giant, Wayne Gandy between
- 1:42:55Speaker 22: a lock on so you can see a sports joint.
- 1:42:59Speaker 1: I'll sing, welcome back to the sworshop, sholl Im the
- 1:43:04Speaker 1: s wortshop, win candy. One thing. Over the last week
- 1:43:08Speaker 1: since the Ravens last Saturday beat, the Stillers, a lot
- 1:43:12Speaker 1: of conversation about Mike Tomlin's future. Even saw a couple
- 1:43:17Speaker 1: of publications proposing some kind of trade. I don't know
- 1:43:23Speaker 1: that I've ever heard of a trade of a coach.
- 1:43:26Speaker 1: Maybe I've been out of the loop. It's happened once, Okay,
- 1:43:30Speaker 1: that's what I've said.
- 1:43:30Speaker 5: I've never heard of technically once when with John Gruden
- 1:43:35Speaker 5: when he came became the Bucks coach.
- 1:43:37Speaker 1: The Raiders got some draft picks in return. Okay, so
- 1:43:42Speaker 1: that was a trade. Okay, I had never heard of that,
- 1:43:44Speaker 1: but that is what they've put with Mike Tomlin. As
- 1:43:48Speaker 1: you imagine, Tomlin was not feeding into it at all
- 1:43:53Speaker 1: about being traded. Pittsburgh has weathered the storm before and
- 1:43:58Speaker 1: stood by their coach, and it's just a philosophy that
- 1:44:02Speaker 1: they have with a myt O Stiller team that actually
- 1:44:07Speaker 1: at one point they were ten and three and then
- 1:44:11Speaker 1: everything just went and that last five games they went
- 1:44:15Speaker 1: to zero and five. Lost last week in the playoffs
- 1:44:19Speaker 1: to Baltimore, and I think in that last month you
- 1:44:24Speaker 1: just started seeing what they were able to cover up
- 1:44:28Speaker 1: the rest of the season, the inefficient ability to run
- 1:44:33Speaker 1: the ball, having a quarterback that was a little older
- 1:44:37Speaker 1: in the tooth, and a lack of really any kind
- 1:44:41Speaker 1: of receiving explosion consistently. They had it with Kenny Pickett
- 1:44:47Speaker 1: is his name, Kenny Pickett, George Pickens, George Pickens, but
- 1:44:55Speaker 1: after being called out by his coach, that kind of
- 1:44:57Speaker 1: faded to the wayside. But just some balls that I think,
- 1:45:02Speaker 1: you know, as they always say, winning covers up a
- 1:45:04Speaker 1: lot of things. A lot of times you kind of
- 1:45:06Speaker 1: just hope nobody finds out right, And in that last
- 1:45:11Speaker 1: five games people found out they lost, but we will
- 1:45:13Speaker 1: see what The Steelers go very shocked after that successful
- 1:45:18Speaker 1: of a season with a team that you didn't really
- 1:45:21Speaker 1: see being there at that point. You didn't see that
- 1:45:24Speaker 1: kind of production for the personnel. Actually was a pretty
- 1:45:28Speaker 1: good season, just fell out there at the end. A
- 1:45:32Speaker 1: couple of big names going into College Hall of Fame.
- 1:45:36Speaker 1: Nick Saban, which you would imagine they just trying to
- 1:45:39Speaker 1: get him in there before he gets any older. Michael Vick,
- 1:45:43Speaker 1: Urban Meyer as well will be part of this year's class.
- 1:45:49Speaker 1: Mike Vick would be a surprise, just more of the
- 1:45:53Speaker 1: times have allowed him to overcome his dog fighting situation.
- 1:46:00Speaker 1: You always wondered how long that was going to be carried.
- 1:46:03Speaker 1: But I think with his ability to be on Fox
- 1:46:07Speaker 1: and like with a lot of guys, they go to
- 1:46:10Speaker 1: the media. Randy Mass you saw that, Richard Sherman. A
- 1:46:15Speaker 1: lot of guys have gone to the media and got
- 1:46:17Speaker 1: those jobs to kind of clean up that side of
- 1:46:21Speaker 1: their life, to get the media back on their side.
- 1:46:25Speaker 1: A Rod we talked about him. He embraced the media
- 1:46:30Speaker 1: to you know, almost find some forgiveness from fans. Now
- 1:46:35Speaker 1: how that will eventually interpret into the Hall of Fame.
- 1:46:40Speaker 1: But that is one way that you see to kind
- 1:46:45Speaker 1: of polish off some of the things you feel like
- 1:46:50Speaker 1: was going to carry a longer time. Marshawn Lynch became
- 1:46:54Speaker 1: a media darling to get people to forget how far
- 1:46:59Speaker 1: he used to be down the rabbit hole doing movies. Yeah,
- 1:47:04Speaker 1: that's what I'm saying, So you can. I mean, we
- 1:47:07Speaker 1: talk about all the time with those Snoop dig O Dizzel.
- 1:47:12Speaker 1: You know, we've talked about it with him as far
- 1:47:15Speaker 1: as being able to do that as well. I did
- 1:47:18Speaker 1: read that one out of every five job posting it's
- 1:47:22Speaker 1: actually fake. Did you guys see that. I didn't see
- 1:47:26Speaker 1: that article, but I've heard that there there is a
- 1:47:31Speaker 1: it's very prevalent that there are a lot of fake job.
- 1:47:34Speaker 5: Postings, scam postings to get personal information through like LinkedIn
- 1:47:39Speaker 5: or indeed or something like that.
- 1:47:41Speaker 4: I don't I don't trust any of those things. And
- 1:47:45Speaker 4: it's gotten to the point where there have been people
- 1:47:48Speaker 4: who have applied for jobs been told that they've got
- 1:47:54Speaker 4: the job and now they need to fill out some
- 1:47:57Speaker 4: sort of paperwork to send to h and it's all
- 1:48:01Speaker 4: been a scheme some of them. Some people have actually
- 1:48:04Speaker 4: worked shifts that they never got paid for. With these
- 1:48:07Speaker 4: online jobs where they deliver services and do all of
- 1:48:10Speaker 4: these kinds of things and then the people who employed
- 1:48:12Speaker 4: them just disappear on them and never pay them. So
- 1:48:16Speaker 4: a lot of that stuff, it's the Internet, you know,
- 1:48:19Speaker 4: there's very little oversight.
- 1:48:22Speaker 1: Yeah, And I was just putting that out there because
- 1:48:23Speaker 1: I thought that's a little it doesn't sound but when
- 1:48:27Speaker 1: you think of one out of every five, yeah, it's
- 1:48:32Speaker 1: four of us here, so the one missing person would
- 1:48:35Speaker 1: be fake, right, That becomes a lot of articles.
- 1:48:39Speaker 4: It makes me think too. When I was in corporate
- 1:48:42Speaker 4: America and I was interviewing people for jobs, I used
- 1:48:47Speaker 4: to think it was odd that people would call the
- 1:48:50Speaker 4: place where I was employed and managing and ask are
- 1:48:53Speaker 4: y'all hiring? And I would think, like, who searches for
- 1:48:56Speaker 4: a job on the telephone? But now we live in
- 1:48:58Speaker 4: a world where people never leave their homes and they
- 1:49:02Speaker 4: search for jobs just on the Internet. And that's a
- 1:49:05Speaker 4: lot of what is getting people jammed up.
- 1:49:07Speaker 1: The city of Cleveland and the Browns looked like they're
- 1:49:11Speaker 1: about to be in a big legal battle. The Cleveland
- 1:49:16Speaker 1: Browns want to move out of the city into the
- 1:49:20Speaker 1: suburbs build a new stadium that's about two and a
- 1:49:25Speaker 1: half billion dollars. But the city of Cleveland does not
- 1:49:30Speaker 1: want that to happen. They want them to stay down town.
- 1:49:35Speaker 1: And this is tricky, guys. Remember the Cleveland Browns became
- 1:49:39Speaker 1: the Baltimore Ravens and the city of Cleveland bought or however,
- 1:49:47Speaker 1: you block a team from being able to take the name.
- 1:49:52Speaker 1: So when Art Modell went to sell the team, the
- 1:49:54Speaker 1: city kept the Cleveland Browns name, logo, colors and all
- 1:49:58Speaker 1: that they ever got a team back, And eventually they
- 1:50:02Speaker 1: did get a team back, and that's why they were
- 1:50:04Speaker 1: able to call them the Cleveland brown So it'd be
- 1:50:09Speaker 1: interesting to see how this shapes up. I mean, how
- 1:50:12Speaker 1: much of the name does the city of Cleveland actually own,
- 1:50:15Speaker 1: because they were the ones who said you can move
- 1:50:18Speaker 1: the team, yeah, but you can't take but you can't
- 1:50:20Speaker 1: take our name and colors and stuff like that. They
- 1:50:22Speaker 1: call it the Art Modelle law. Yes, I wonder if
- 1:50:26Speaker 1: the team moves now, what compensation will have to be
- 1:50:29Speaker 1: offered to the city to use the name.
- 1:50:33Speaker 4: And I guess I'm I understand the desire, but two
- 1:50:39Speaker 4: point five billion dollar stadiums are they necessary for seats?
- 1:50:44Speaker 1: And you know most of that money goes into the
- 1:50:48Speaker 1: extras that have nothing to do.
- 1:50:50Speaker 4: With the game, the barber shops and the car dealerships
- 1:50:54Speaker 4: and the salons and spots that they have inside the stadium.
- 1:50:57Speaker 4: So dose that stuff really necessary But in the competing
- 1:51:02Speaker 4: in today's market of professional sports.
- 1:51:04Speaker 1: It absolutely and always remember this is these new places
- 1:51:08Speaker 1: are not just football stadium They are everything and anything
- 1:51:14Speaker 1: from World Cups to Beyonce concerts. Yes, even they have
- 1:51:20Speaker 1: Enoughlympics they haven't to what is it they have the
- 1:51:23Speaker 1: card there venues the football stadium, they are event venues
- 1:51:29Speaker 1: now they just happen to have football, right, So it's
- 1:51:34Speaker 1: not uncommon for two billion dollars when you kind of
- 1:51:37Speaker 1: build that kind of technology. We'll be back more to
- 1:51:40Speaker 1: Sports Shock Show right after this Don't Go awayne Board
- 1:51:53Speaker 1: of the Sports Josh Hill with Wayne Dandidias coming up next.

- 1:52:58Speaker 1: Ad on the sportshot dot com com. And now back
- 1:53:03Speaker 1: to the Sports Job Wayne Gandy.
- 1:53:08Speaker 27: It's time for the school board where we put a
- 1:53:10Speaker 27: spin on life and sports and how they intermingle on
- 1:53:15Speaker 27: the Sports Jack Show with Wayne Gandy.
- 1:53:21Speaker 1: Jesus walk back to this what Shock Show On this
- 1:53:39Speaker 1: one Shock Wayne Canny, Good morning once again, Bick Kenny
- 1:53:43Speaker 1: Bill's Ravens.
- 1:53:44Speaker 4: Who you got Ravens? Okay, cool Ravens. That's gonna be
- 1:53:49Speaker 4: a good game, though, that's gonna that ought to should that?
- 1:53:53Speaker 4: Should that put all of the Sunday is six thirty,
- 1:53:56Speaker 4: so don't get that.
- 1:53:56Speaker 7: And after that where we know who the MVP is
- 1:54:00Speaker 7: because those are the top two contenders.
- 1:54:03Speaker 1: After that returned Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson. And I'm
- 1:54:07Speaker 1: still when I hear that, I still don't understand how
- 1:54:10Speaker 1: Saquon Barkley ran for two thousand yards. Y'all just act
- 1:54:14Speaker 1: like that happens every day. He'll get Offensive Player of
- 1:54:17Speaker 1: the Year. Wonder the last time under the last time
- 1:54:20Speaker 1: a non quarterback won MVP Adrian Peterson. What year is that?
- 1:54:25Speaker 1: Twenty twelve, twenty twelve, so thirteen years ago, and before
- 1:54:29Speaker 1: that Sean Alexander two thousand and five, So in twenty years,
- 1:54:40Speaker 1: two people other than quarterbacks relatively, Yeah, that's not a
- 1:54:48Speaker 1: bad that's a terrible ratio, right, what you're saying, basically,
- 1:54:57Speaker 1: I mean we're kind of just framing up from say
- 1:54:59Speaker 1: two thousand, twenty twenty five. You've only had two times
- 1:55:04Speaker 1: in that twenty year period that someone other than a
- 1:55:07Speaker 1: quarterback has won MVP. That's terrible. That's basically that Heisman
- 1:55:11Speaker 1: stuff I be talking about.
- 1:55:13Speaker 4: Yeah, right, right right, But that's that's who's fault. That's
- 1:55:17Speaker 4: whose fault is that us? Because every year you give
- 1:55:21Speaker 4: it to a quarterback.
- 1:55:21Speaker 1: We go, oh, he deserved it, he deserved it.
- 1:55:24Speaker 4: Nobody better and then you know somebody was better. But
- 1:55:27Speaker 4: we keep all going, oh, great choice, great choice, and
- 1:55:31Speaker 4: we never pushed back.
- 1:55:32Speaker 1: Ninth time in one hundred years. Somebody has ran for
- 1:55:36Speaker 1: two thousand yards one hundred years of NFL ninth year,
- 1:55:42Speaker 1: and tell me of those guys didn't win MVP. And
- 1:55:45Speaker 1: that's what I'm talking about. So I don't get it.
- 1:55:47Speaker 1: But Ravens, Bill's bad producer. Ravens come match quick, quick, quick, quick,
- 1:55:58Speaker 1: kills kills bills. I'm gonna go with the bills, with bills, mafia.
- 1:56:08Speaker 1: I mean, that should be a great game. Save up
- 1:56:10Speaker 1: your calories, baby. That's when don't even eat all. Well,
- 1:56:14Speaker 1: eat a little something so you don't get full quick.
- 1:56:16Speaker 1: That's Sunday night. It's at six six six thirty, Yeah,
- 1:56:21Speaker 1: Sunday evening, so you can get a little bit out there,
- 1:56:25Speaker 1: but it's not too far. Yeah, you want to eat
- 1:56:27Speaker 1: a little yogurt or something, some nuts. Make sure you're
- 1:56:30Speaker 1: not starving when Oh you don't about food my dad? Okay,
- 1:56:37Speaker 1: yeah that too. Yeah. Just in case it happens between
- 1:56:41Speaker 1: now and Monday, do the Cowboys higher time time?
- 1:56:48Speaker 17: Yes?
- 1:56:50Speaker 4: Okay, yes, yes, they will producer. No, not by and
- 1:56:55Speaker 4: it'll be a train wreck. It'll be a total train wreck.
- 1:56:59Speaker 4: Next season, they're gonna do it.
- 1:57:01Speaker 1: Command you and give me your don't give me what
- 1:57:04Speaker 1: your heart saying right there, because I know you know
- 1:57:07Speaker 1: you want, you want things to work out you. I'm
- 1:57:11Speaker 1: just saying, because it's a little three four day period
- 1:57:13Speaker 1: for our next show. Will the Cowboys hire Dion by
- 1:57:20Speaker 1: the weekend?
- 1:57:20Speaker 17: No?
- 1:57:20Speaker 1: No, No, I'm just saying their head coaching higher this year.
- 1:57:26Speaker 1: He's so hopeful. I'm gonna go with him. Yes, not
- 1:57:30Speaker 1: about the weekend. I don't think about the week No. No,
- 1:57:33Speaker 1: we're not talking about aout the weekend. I said, just
- 1:57:35Speaker 1: in case it happens our next show. Do you think happened, Oh,
- 1:57:40Speaker 1: I think it happens at all. Yes, I think it happened,
- 1:57:44Speaker 1: but not about a week command you Greg wanted them.
- 1:57:48Speaker 1: Her name is Carol. Guys, you know what I'm saying. No,
- 1:57:51Speaker 1: it's Carolyn.
- 1:57:53Speaker 4: Her name Carolyn, her name Juicy want. Oh that's what
- 1:57:57Speaker 4: they call you. You don't want to call the Carolyn.
- 1:58:00Speaker 4: We don't about big Juice.
- 1:58:02Speaker 1: Big Kenny. For all you out there looking for a
- 1:58:05Speaker 1: job that will show you the world or at least,
- 1:58:08Speaker 1: the United States Planners Corporation the Planner Mobile. You can
- 1:58:14Speaker 1: make forty five thousand plus expenses and travel.
- 1:58:18Speaker 4: And they have a four away, four oh one k
- 1:58:22Speaker 4: program and this is to drive the Nutmobile around the country. Now,
- 1:58:25Speaker 4: the Nutmobile is the giant conversion type van that's shaped
- 1:58:30Speaker 4: like a Planner's peanut.
- 1:58:31Speaker 1: That doesn't sound like a lot of money for that
- 1:58:33Speaker 1: kind of job. It doesn't.
- 1:58:35Speaker 4: But if you're lazy and have no ambition to do
- 1:58:38Speaker 4: no responsibility trucks, yeah, I'm saying twice as much, but
- 1:58:42Speaker 4: that would require you to be responsible and on time
- 1:58:45Speaker 4: and probably you know about the CD license.
- 1:58:49Speaker 1: This way you can you can stop at the dispensary
- 1:58:52Speaker 1: and all that.
- 1:58:53Speaker 4: You can come to Paduca, Kentucky, pull up in a
- 1:58:55Speaker 4: parking lot and sent around and go yeah yeah, and
- 1:58:58Speaker 4: then drive off.
- 1:58:59Speaker 1: Airlines Stewardess flight attendant has lost her job. She was
- 1:59:07Speaker 1: twerking on the flight. She recorded herself doing a little
- 1:59:12Speaker 1: twerking before the people boarded the flight. Gotta work at
- 1:59:16Speaker 1: Southwest m she should have been working at Southwest to
- 1:59:21Speaker 1: be oh, well, I don't. I think both of them
- 1:59:26Speaker 1: will get you fired, right, obviously, obviously this will. But
- 1:59:32Speaker 1: she was let go because of this. Her name was
- 1:59:37Speaker 1: Nail Dela. I think how you see her last name?
- 1:59:42Speaker 1: Is she hoping to go viral for this? She just
- 1:59:44Speaker 1: gonna get on. She might not even get unemployed.
- 1:59:46Speaker 7: But I don't see flight attendants singing and doing all
- 1:59:49Speaker 7: the other stuff too. So what made her twerk and
- 1:59:52Speaker 7: get her fired? And now this is the thing I'm
- 1:59:55Speaker 7: watching a little. It ain't like she really turned up
- 1:59:59Speaker 7: or nothing. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. I've seen words
- 2:00:01Speaker 7: from tworking is not a positive thing. Dropping it low,
- 2:00:06Speaker 7: It's not how you want to be remembered. None of
- 2:00:08Speaker 7: that is a very wholesome thing. When the bad producer
- 2:00:15Speaker 7: likes to marginalize these kind of things, that's not how
- 2:00:19Speaker 7: you go to work. Now, Now, that's what you want
- 2:00:24Speaker 7: to do in your home, that's what you want to
- 2:00:26Speaker 7: do in your private time.
- 2:00:28Speaker 1: But tworking on my airplane or at a job that
- 2:00:34Speaker 1: I provide for you and showing it is not business.
- 2:00:40Speaker 1: That's what you That's the part. It's not the twerking
- 2:00:43Speaker 1: is where you're doing it.
- 2:00:44Speaker 4: She on the clock clock like in her uniform, in
- 2:00:47Speaker 4: the middle of the aisle before the people. Is this
- 2:00:50Speaker 4: why were waiting to get on the plane so you
- 2:00:52Speaker 4: can make your little twirk VIITTI I turn off, boy,
- 2:00:54Speaker 4: I turn this stuff over.
- 2:00:56Speaker 1: So nobody's demonizing twerking. We're telling you that that's not
- 2:01:00Speaker 1: the place on people's jobs to do it. On the part,
- 2:01:04Speaker 1: that's all I agree, But I'm justification. Justification of I've
- 2:01:13Speaker 1: seen worse or somebody else's did it is not a justification.
- 2:01:19Speaker 1: I've just assuming she's at the wrong airline. But hopefully
- 2:01:22Speaker 1: she'll give the airline it was Alaska Airlines. Any airline
- 2:01:29Speaker 1: is wrong that those people are wilderness frontier. Yeah, they're
- 2:01:33Speaker 1: wilderness people. They and they still don't want to have
- 2:01:35Speaker 1: that kind of stuff. No matter what airline, any airline.
- 2:01:39Speaker 1: For the listeners that's listening to me, any airline that
- 2:01:43Speaker 1: you work on, don't go do this. Don't go toward
- 2:01:47Speaker 1: this could lose you your job, no matter what airline
- 2:01:50Speaker 1: is or what you think about it, from Spirit to
- 2:01:53Speaker 1: Southwest or anything else that this guy, well, I saw
- 2:01:56Speaker 1: it worse over here and they kept their job. That's
- 2:01:58Speaker 1: the most idiotic of survival on the planet. And Sports
- 2:02:03Speaker 1: Jack don't take that in the court. I've seen worse,
- 2:02:05Speaker 1: because that's called snitche You see what I'm saying. You
- 2:02:08Speaker 1: going to court, w I saw somebody do worse. You're
- 2:02:10Speaker 1: telling them somebody and we all know the truth is
- 2:02:15Speaker 1: he will throw your in the ocean.
- 2:02:17Speaker 24: It's time to wrap things up on the Sports Jug
- 2:02:21Speaker 24: Show with Wayne Candy.
- 2:02:41Speaker 1: When you're designs of Ocean, get to swortch out Jess
- 2:02:43Speaker 1: a minute to Ben would like to thank you for
- 2:02:45Speaker 1: tuning in to today's show. We hope the NFL games
- 2:02:49Speaker 1: live up to the building. I can't wait to see
- 2:02:52Speaker 1: that Ravens Bill game on Sunday. We'll be here on
- 2:02:56Speaker 1: Monday with you to talk about the PCL super that's
- 2:03:01Speaker 1: the Professional College League. If y'all don't understand what's going on,
- 2:03:06Speaker 1: but Big Kenny comatch you. Greg Bad producer, thank you
- 2:03:09Speaker 1: for your contributions this week to the show. And as
- 2:03:12Speaker 1: I always tell people, there is a clear cut reason why.
- 2:03:18Speaker 1: On Monday, President Donald Trump is being reelected as the
- 2:03:25Speaker 1: president because we are Trump Cops nailed burglars out in LA,
- 2:03:36Speaker 1: dresses firefighters to rob people. See what we go with this?
- 2:03:42Speaker 1: We keep saying we ain't know better, We just won't better.
- 2:03:46Speaker 1: That's why I said earlier, we won't better, But we
- 2:03:48Speaker 1: just as pieces of trash as we think other people are.
- 2:03:54Speaker 1: You mean, as a wildfire is going on and people
- 2:03:57Speaker 1: are living, losing all that they have, and you decide
- 2:04:02Speaker 1: to go down and grab a couple of firefighter uniform
- 2:04:07Speaker 1: and go rob people, and.
- 2:04:09Speaker 4: It's somebody mad they didn't come up with the skates,
- 2:04:11Speaker 4: hey ye?
- 2:04:14Speaker 1: And that lets you see where we are as human beings.
- 2:04:18Speaker 1: We actually have no creed, no honor, no compassion, and
- 2:04:24Speaker 1: we are just selfish, physical, flawed items. If that was
- 2:04:32Speaker 1: the best. I'm around here trying to figure out how
- 2:04:34Speaker 1: to get some of these double X clothes. I have
- 2:04:37Speaker 1: to some people out in LA because I know a
- 2:04:40Speaker 1: lot of larges and smalls are going out, but I'm
- 2:04:43Speaker 1: quite sure some big people lost some clothing too. And
- 2:04:47Speaker 1: all you're thinking about is robbing people. And every time
- 2:04:50Speaker 1: we have a natural disaster, it seems that these people
- 2:04:54Speaker 1: come alive. I don't know commands, Greg, it might be me.
- 2:04:59Speaker 4: You trying to give away double exhales. They trying to
- 2:05:01Speaker 4: find a fire uniform that fits.
- 2:05:06Speaker 1: Throw them all, you know. And I'm praying it's some
- 2:05:19Speaker 1: kind of federal court law that doubles your time when
- 2:05:27Speaker 1: you commit crimes in this type like this is usually
- 2:05:31Speaker 1: an eight year crime. Seventeen. Yeah, I'm hoping that's the truth,
- 2:05:37Speaker 1: because I just imagine anyone out of care and love
- 2:05:39Speaker 1: for going through this and that's all you thought to
- 2:05:42Speaker 1: do is go rob them. Sounds that sounds like a
- 2:05:45Speaker 1: piece of trash. It's a big Kenny command you, Greg,
- 2:05:49Speaker 1: the bad producer the sports shop. We'll see you in
- 2:05:52Speaker 1: the future. Peace.
- 2:06:00Speaker 25: You wouldn't let you do
