- 0:20Speaker 1: First day of fall. Here we go. What is it? 8.05 tonight,
- 0:29Speaker 1: I think, is when it officially is the Equinox. What
- 0:36Speaker 1: the hell does that mean, anyways? I'll figure it out.
- 0:41Speaker 1: What is it? Equal daylight, equal darkness. Something like that.
- 0:50Speaker 1: I don't know. Why don't we give a damn? Really?
- 0:53Speaker 1: I mean, it's a little chilly. Tonight. $ 5 Tuesday nights
- 1:05Speaker 1: over at the Capitol Theater in Montpelier. Stop making excuses.
- 1:11Speaker 1: Get yourself out to the movies. It's only going to
- 1:14Speaker 1: cost you $ 5. Oh my God, we have so much
- 1:19Speaker 1: to talk about this morning. I don't even know where
- 1:21Speaker 1: to begin. Listen, I know I'm going to say something
- 1:23Speaker 1: that's probably going to... Well, it might ruffle a couple
- 1:32Speaker 1: of feathers this morning. It may not for you. And
- 1:39Speaker 1: if I do ruffle, you can always reach out to me.
- 1:43Speaker 1: Let me know. And that's okay. Happy birthday today. Travis
- 1:49Speaker 1: Payette on the list. Beth Scott Wadsworth. I think the
- 1:57Speaker 1: world of that lady for lots of different reasons. Bonnie
- 2:03Speaker 1: Hall is on the list today. Brian Kirkpatrick. We have
- 2:10Speaker 1: Rachel Chapin. Tommy Waltz on the list. today. Just shared
- 2:20Speaker 1: a steak dinner with that guy. Pretty cool guy, Tommy Walsh.
- 2:26Speaker 1: And I don't know if you've ever had a chance
- 2:28Speaker 1: to get to chat with him, but he's a really
- 2:30Speaker 1: nice guy. Really enjoyed my time. Let's see. Rich Christensen.
- 2:41Speaker 1: Amy Chamberlain. These are all on the birthday list today.
- 2:45Speaker 1: Rob Williams. There's a nice, simple name. I like that.
- 2:51Speaker 1: Happy birthday, everybody. I don't even know where to start. Listen,
- 2:59Speaker 1: I think I'm going to start here. Let me take a...
- 3:08Speaker 1: I had such a great time. At the Tunbridge World's Fair.
- 3:14Speaker 1: I always do. I don't think I've missed a year
- 3:19Speaker 1: since the mid-90s. I don't think I have. I always
- 3:27Speaker 1: have a great time at the Tunbridge Fair. I love
- 3:30Speaker 1: the Tunbridge Fair. Okay, let me just begin by saying
- 3:34Speaker 1: that right now. Put that right out front. Going there and...
- 3:42Speaker 1: bumping into people like Elliot Morse, like I did the
- 3:46Speaker 1: other day, is always a highlight for me. It's always
- 3:51Speaker 1: a special moment for me when I see someone like
- 3:56Speaker 1: Elliot Morse or Rusty Deweese. Or Fred. Fred Tuttle. who
- 4:12Speaker 1: passed away a long time ago. But bumping into these
- 4:18Speaker 1: people at the Tunbridge Fair is always a heartwarming experience
- 4:26Speaker 1: for me. I love going there. I don't care if
- 4:29Speaker 1: it's raining, if it's muddy, if it's sunny, if it's hot.
- 4:38Speaker 1: And maybe you're sensing... that there's a, but here, I
- 4:46Speaker 1: don't know if it's really a, a, a, but I
- 4:49Speaker 1: don't want to talk about this too long, but it's
- 4:52Speaker 1: just something I have to mention. There's, I love seeing the,
- 4:57Speaker 1: the kids are happy. Everybody's happy. Um, I love seeing
- 5:03Speaker 1: the chickens and the, and the ducks and the bunny
- 5:05Speaker 1: rabbits and the, and the oxen and seeing the oxen
- 5:09Speaker 1: poles and, all that stuff. It is a wonderful time
- 5:16Speaker 1: for me. One thing I think that we all know
- 5:25Speaker 1: is that if you're going to go to any fair,
- 5:30Speaker 1: you need to bring your wallet. And if you really
- 5:37Speaker 1: want to make your life a lot easier, you'll bring
- 5:41Speaker 1: some cash in the wallet instead of your card. Fair enough.
- 5:50Speaker 1: You might even say, I want to see the comments
- 5:54Speaker 1: this morning because I really want to know what your
- 5:56Speaker 1: opinion is. You might even say that you should bring
- 6:00Speaker 1: a wallet that's got a lot of cash in it.
- 6:07Speaker 1: Some of us have to, frankly, um, budget to go
- 6:13Speaker 1: to a fair, Champlain Valley Fair, Tunbridge Fair, wherever it is.
- 6:20Speaker 1: And some fairs are a little more affordable than others.
- 6:29Speaker 1: I know that Tunbridge is a very popular fair. I
- 6:33Speaker 1: know that it is attended by billions of people. I
- 6:39Speaker 1: know what happens to the population of Tunbridge for four days,
- 6:44Speaker 1: once a year. And I know that there's plenty of
- 6:50Speaker 1: you that are going to say, J.D., don't complain about
- 6:55Speaker 1: the cost of things. If it's really that expensive for you,
- 6:58Speaker 1: then just don't go. And I get that too. When
- 7:04Speaker 1: you have a kid and you have a family tradition
- 7:08Speaker 1: of going to the fair, you don't want to disappoint
- 7:12Speaker 1: your kid. You want to go there as an adult,
- 7:16Speaker 1: make your kid happy. You want to go and bump
- 7:21Speaker 1: into the Elliot Morse's of the world. You want to
- 7:27Speaker 1: smell the corn. You want to see the ox bowls.
- 7:30Speaker 1: You want to hear the midway. You want to enjoy
- 7:36Speaker 1: some rides, whatever it is. You want to see the
- 7:40Speaker 1: 16-foot-tall sunflower. and the million pound pumpkin and zucchini. You
- 7:49Speaker 1: want to see those things. You want to go. I
- 7:55Speaker 1: brought some cash and I don't remember. A hundred bucks,
- 8:03Speaker 1: something like that. Tens and twenties. And I was talking
- 8:10Speaker 1: with Sherilyn and Lily was like, Dad, I want to
- 8:14Speaker 1: see this. Can I have $ 10? And I was like, yeah, sure.
- 8:20Speaker 1: I'm busy. I'm preoccupied. I'm distracted. I pull a $ 10
- 8:24Speaker 1: out of the wallet and hand it to Lily and
- 8:29Speaker 1: she's gone. Now, it was very warm the day that
- 8:33Speaker 1: I was there. Like a summer day. She was thirsty.
- 8:38Speaker 1: She's a kid. Kids don't understand the cost of things.
- 8:45Speaker 1: The concept of money. A lot of kids don't. Some
- 8:48Speaker 1: kids kind of learning. Their parents are trying to teach them. Inflation.
- 8:54Speaker 1: Things like this. So Lily was thirsty and took my
- 9:03Speaker 1: $ 10 bill and she came back with a lemonade. And
- 9:11Speaker 1: I said, where's my change? And she handed me a dollar.
- 9:18Speaker 1: I said, where's the rest of the change? Oh, that's it.
- 9:20Speaker 1: And I said, your lemonade was $ 9? Yeah. I have
- 9:28Speaker 1: the lemonade here next to me, as you can see
- 9:31Speaker 1: on the camera. I brought it in as a little prop.
- 9:39Speaker 1: And I'm going to show you. This is 20 ounces.
- 9:42Speaker 2: 20.
- 9:45Speaker 1: Right here.
- 9:50Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 9:52Speaker 1: Lemonade from the Tunbridge Fair. Right there. This is actually
- 9:57Speaker 1: Lily's lemonade bottle. Which I'm going to save for the
- 10:03Speaker 1: rest of my life. This will stay close to me.
- 10:12Speaker 1: Might even go in the safe. It's a collector's item.
- 10:15Speaker 1: 20 ounces. $ 9.
- 10:18Speaker 2: $ 9.
- 10:22Speaker 1: So then I got thinking, you know, we as a society,
- 10:36Speaker 1: we complain about a lot of things, right? Oh my God,
- 10:39Speaker 1: have you seen the cost of beef? The cost of
- 10:43Speaker 1: ground beef? Lately, it's all been about the price of gasoline. So... Which, yesterday,
- 11:00Speaker 1: I got mine for $ 4.
- 11:02Speaker 2: 24 a.
- 11:03Speaker 1: Gallon, by the way. I thought I was kind of
- 11:08Speaker 1: doing well. And I know we keep hearing the promises.
- 11:12Speaker 1: Price of gas, coming down. It's coming down. Brace yourself, everybody.
- 11:15Speaker 1: It's coming down.
- 11:19Speaker 3: So....
- 11:21Speaker 1: I'm thinking lemonade versus gasoline. The market for lemonade. And
- 11:38Speaker 1: we got all of these oil refineries and all this
- 11:41Speaker 1: fighting going on in the world about petroleum, fuel. What
- 11:48Speaker 1: about the fight for lemonade? Lemonade. If, you know, we're
- 11:56Speaker 1: talking six something now for a gallon of diesel fuel.
- 12:11Speaker 1: And the national average for a gallon of unleaded, what, 450,
- 12:19Speaker 1: whatever it is, 425, I don't even know anymore. But
- 12:26Speaker 1: that's for a gallon of gas. So I got thinking. And,
- 12:35Speaker 1: you know, I know there's some of you, J.D., that's
- 12:38Speaker 1: your daughter. That's her lemonade. You're at the Tunbridge Fair.
- 12:43Speaker 1: Shut up. And I know. I'm with you. I got you.
- 12:48Speaker 1: I agree. I agree. I shouldn't be complaining about this,
- 12:54Speaker 1: but I just got thinking. I'm like, if 20 ounces
- 12:58Speaker 1: of lemonade right here at the Tunbridge World's Fair, right there,
- 13:04Speaker 1: 20 ounces, if this cost $ 9, which, by the way,
- 13:12Speaker 1: is some lemon-flavored sugar, maybe two teaspoons, and a whole lemon,
- 13:23Speaker 1: cut in half and thrown in squeezed, but one lemon
- 13:29Speaker 1: nine bucks. How many ounces are there in one gallon
- 13:34Speaker 1: of gasoline? There's 128 ounces in one gallon. So we
- 13:47Speaker 1: are complaining about a $ 9, uh, 20 ounce cup of lemonade.
- 13:58Speaker 1: We are also complaining about the price of a gallon
- 14:02Speaker 1: of gas being four, whatever, or diesel six, whatever. 128
- 14:09Speaker 1: ounces at 45 cents an ounce. which is what this is,
- 14:28Speaker 1: would cost you $ 57.
- 14:28Speaker 2: 60.
- 14:29Speaker 1: So just think about that. For whatever a gallon of
- 14:34Speaker 1: gas is, almost $ 60 a gallon of lemonade. I got
- 15:01Speaker 1: it all wrong. I mean, this is the business that
- 15:03Speaker 1: I should be into right here. I'd have a private jet.
- 15:11Speaker 1: I'd be flying around the world selling my lemonade for
- 15:18Speaker 1: almost $ 60. A gallon. Think about that. What's the profit
- 15:25Speaker 1: margin on this? Buy a little bit of, you know,
- 15:31Speaker 1: lemon sugar. Stupid profit margins. I'd be buying up islands,
- 15:45Speaker 1: flying around on my jets. I would fly you around.
- 15:48Speaker 1: I would fly you to come and visit me. Gino
- 15:53Speaker 1: is tuned in this morning. And I want to talk
- 15:56Speaker 1: about Gino here for a second. And I have a
- 16:03Speaker 1: few things that I would like to... I'm just seeing
- 16:09Speaker 1: some of the comments here. Yeah.
- 16:12Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 16:13Speaker 1: Buck her up, buttercup. Thank you, Glenn. Yeah. Half the
- 16:19Speaker 1: cost is probably just for those crazy cups. Thank you.
- 16:25Speaker 1: Didn't even think of that. Gino was on the air
- 16:31Speaker 1: with me yesterday and frankly gave me a yesterday's episode
- 16:40Speaker 1: really gave me a kick in the pants. And every
- 16:44Speaker 1: time I talk with Gino, whether it's on the air
- 16:47Speaker 1: or off the air, my eyes open wider. My ears
- 16:53Speaker 1: tend to listen greater. And when I have any kind
- 17:03Speaker 1: of experience with Gino, it resonates with me for the
- 17:06Speaker 1: rest of the day. And frankly, it was even last
- 17:09Speaker 1: night as I went back and rewatched a little bit
- 17:12Speaker 1: of my conversation with Gino yesterday here on Aired Out.
- 17:17Speaker 1: If you haven't seen it, you're missing it. You're missing out.
- 17:23Speaker 1: And if you're going through anything in your life that's
- 17:27Speaker 1: of challenge, yesterday was your episode to watch. Perspective, attitude is,
- 17:36Speaker 1: I think it's everything. I mean, maybe some of you
- 17:40Speaker 1: think it's a lot of things, but maybe not everything.
- 17:45Speaker 1: Yesterday kind of really kind of showed me that it is.
- 17:56Speaker 1: Last night when I checked in, this was late last night.
- 18:01Speaker 1: I don't even know what it is now. And I'll
- 18:05Speaker 1: preface by saying this. I am not one to hold
- 18:13Speaker 1: my hat on, or hang my hat, rather, on how
- 18:20Speaker 1: many views a particular episode gets. It's never been my goal.
- 18:27Speaker 1: It's never been my driving force behind loving what I do.
- 18:37Speaker 1: I love what I do because I love to connect
- 18:41Speaker 1: with people. And if I can connect with one or
- 18:45Speaker 1: three or five on a great interpersonal level, if I
- 18:52Speaker 1: can make someone laugh, if I can make someone rethink
- 18:56Speaker 1: something in a different way. That is what matters most
- 18:59Speaker 1: to me. Not 10,000 views of anything, really. Anything that
- 19:06Speaker 1: I could put on this mic. Small scale is always
- 19:16Speaker 1: what I hope for, what I hope to achieve. There
- 19:20Speaker 1: were a lot of views yesterday. Thousands, over 3,000 to
- 19:27Speaker 1: be exact, watching Gino. The comments were amazing. The message
- 19:35Speaker 1: was profound, at least I thought it was. I think
- 19:41Speaker 1: many others did too. You always, and this is something
- 19:46Speaker 1: that I'm still learning as a podcaster, as someone who's
- 19:52Speaker 1: in the media, as someone who was in radio for
- 19:55Speaker 1: a long time, you're always going to get that one.
- 20:02Speaker 1: And as my friend Chuck reminds me, You should expect it.
- 20:16Speaker 1: It's always surprising to me the interpretations that people have
- 20:24Speaker 1: on content. When you come on video and audio live,
- 20:32Speaker 1: you don't edit. You don't polish stuff up. snip out
- 20:39Speaker 1: the good stuff, but rather you are transparent and you
- 20:45Speaker 1: just put it out there, it's always surprising to me
- 20:48Speaker 1: how there could be one person that sees or hears
- 21:01Speaker 1: things in a way that is Not anything that I
- 21:08Speaker 1: would have expected. It's fascinating to me, actually. You could
- 21:17Speaker 1: come on the air and do or say anything. And
- 21:24Speaker 1: there's always, it can be the most wonderful thing in
- 21:27Speaker 1: the world. And there's always going to be somebody that
- 21:31Speaker 1: sees the glass half full. Or half empty, I mean.
- 21:49Speaker 1: It's amazing to me. Gino is someone who exudes life.
- 22:00Speaker 1: Embraces connections. Loves people. People all walks of life, as
- 22:07Speaker 1: I said yesterday. No matter what their story is, no
- 22:13Speaker 1: matter how much they're prejudged by anyone, Gino is someone
- 22:21Speaker 1: who can see right through it and see who you
- 22:25Speaker 1: really are and offer more than a dollar but of
- 22:36Speaker 1: her heart, her ears. To listen, to understand, to connect,
- 22:44Speaker 1: to relate. These are the important things. It's not what
- 22:51Speaker 1: has happened to Gino. It's not the decisions that she
- 23:02Speaker 1: made is made in her life. But rather, what is
- 23:15Speaker 1: happening right now? What are the choices that we're making
- 23:19Speaker 1: right now? What are we doing with our life right now?
- 23:25Speaker 1: That's what I love most about Chino. And it is
- 23:32Speaker 1: my great hope that not only will Gino return to
- 23:40Speaker 1: the airwaves here, to give perspective on some of the
- 23:46Speaker 1: hardships that so many folks are experiencing, not just here
- 23:51Speaker 1: in Barrie, but all around central Vermont. Life on the streets,
- 23:58Speaker 1: life with substance use, recovery, overcoming odds. But it is
- 24:08Speaker 1: also my hope that this one particular individual might have
- 24:18Speaker 1: a change of perspective that conversations like this are not
- 24:31Speaker 1: about exploitation. They're not about airing out dirty laundry. There's
- 24:43Speaker 1: other platforms that do that. And if that's what you like,
- 24:49Speaker 1: please go there. My hope is Gino will be back
- 24:57Speaker 1: soon and can really start shining a light in this community,
- 25:05Speaker 1: to our listeners, to our viewers, to whoever you are,
- 25:11Speaker 1: wherever you are, to help you cope and push through
- 25:18Speaker 1: whatever it is that you're dealing with. Whether it's mental health,
- 25:23Speaker 1: whether it's substance use, whether it's sudden hardship that you're
- 25:28Speaker 1: going through, job loss, divorce, attitude is everything. And Geno's
- 25:39Speaker 1: is unbelievable. The other thing I want to address this morning,
- 25:50Speaker 1: and I is that I think that there's an important
- 25:56Speaker 1: distinction when we're talking about, uh, social media and news.
- 26:10Speaker 1: I recently posted about the situation involving the USS Abraham
- 26:15Speaker 1: Lincoln over the last.
- 26:18Speaker 2: What?
- 26:20Speaker 1: Two months? Big story. Well, at least at least the
- 26:30Speaker 1: media said it was a big story. And I believe
- 26:36Speaker 1: it was. And I think the intent was pretty simple
- 26:40Speaker 1: by me, to share a story and let people talk
- 26:43Speaker 1: about it. That's what I love to do. And that's
- 26:49Speaker 1: what I strive to do. And apparently, because I posted
- 26:55Speaker 1: the story, there were some people that decided they needed
- 27:02Speaker 1: to figure out what my political beliefs are based on
- 27:12Speaker 1: just the fact that I was sharing the story of
- 27:16Speaker 1: the USS Abraham Lincoln. Kyle Anthony made some comments suggesting
- 27:30Speaker 1: things about me that had absolutely nothing to do with
- 27:37Speaker 1: why I shared the story, including the assumption that I
- 27:41Speaker 1: must hate Trump. So let me be clear, very clear.
- 27:55Speaker 1: I've had, and I have, I've had many guests friends, acquaintances,
- 28:08Speaker 1: and people that I hardly know that have shared this
- 28:11Speaker 1: couch with me, and some have weighed their opinion politically
- 28:16Speaker 1: on the air, and some have done so off the air.
- 28:26Speaker 1: If I have a guest on the air, who does
- 28:33Speaker 1: not like Trump, and I've had a few, and I
- 28:40Speaker 1: know you know who I'm talking about, that in no
- 28:47Speaker 1: way should suggest to you of where I stand Unless
- 29:01Speaker 1: you ask me and unless I tell you, don't assume. Kyle,
- 29:12Speaker 1: here's the thing. You don't have to agree with me.
- 29:17Speaker 1: You don't have to like what I post. You don't
- 29:20Speaker 1: even have to like me. And that's absolutely perfectly fine.
- 29:26Speaker 1: But if you're going to respond to something that I've posted,
- 29:31Speaker 1: Respond to the actual story. Don't invent an opinion for me.
- 29:39Speaker 1: Don't assign me. a political motive to me. And don't
- 29:51Speaker 1: make the conversation about who you think I am instead
- 29:58Speaker 1: of what the story is about. If you want to
- 30:07Speaker 1: debate the facts of the USS Abraham Lincoln story, I
- 30:12Speaker 1: am happy to have that conversation. But whether I like
- 30:18Speaker 1: Donald Trump, dislike Donald Trump, voted for Donald Trump, didn't
- 30:23Speaker 1: vote for Donald Trump, that is completely irrelevant to the
- 30:27Speaker 1: story that I shared. I shared a story that was
- 30:32Speaker 1: trending in the news. Whether you believe that that story
- 30:37Speaker 1: is real or whether it's fake news, that's up to you.
- 30:46Speaker 1: Thank God you have that right. And I think that's
- 30:53Speaker 1: one of the biggest problems with social media right now.
- 30:57Speaker 1: We can't seem to discuss a story without immediately trying
- 31:01Speaker 1: to put the other person who posted it into a
- 31:06Speaker 1: political box. And that's unfortunate. But it comes with the territory.
- 31:18Speaker 1: And you're going to get that when you podcast, when
- 31:22Speaker 1: you turn on a camera or a microphone, you're going
- 31:25Speaker 1: to get that. And I know. And I'm accepting that.
- 31:31Speaker 1: Sometimes the story is just a story. Sometimes it is
- 31:38Speaker 1: something that we don't want it to be. Sometimes we
- 31:45Speaker 1: want the outcome to be something different Or something different
- 31:52Speaker 1: than the media tells us that it is. I get
- 31:57Speaker 1: that too. And sometimes, believe it or not, you can
- 32:08Speaker 1: talk about something without turning it into a referendum on
- 32:15Speaker 1: the person who posted it. Think about that for a
- 32:21Speaker 1: little bit. Kyle. Disagree with the story. Challenge the information.
- 32:33Speaker 1: Have the conversation. But leave the assumptions about me out
- 32:39Speaker 1: of it. Thank you.
- 32:49Speaker 2: Um....
- 32:55Speaker 1: And I will... I'll talk more about this. Of course. Gee,
- 33:03Speaker 1: you'll be in here on Friday. We'll have at it.
- 33:14Speaker 1: And I also want to say this. You know, it's
- 33:18Speaker 1: like people get so... unbelievably, I say unbelievably because I
- 33:27Speaker 1: think it's unbelievable, should be believable, worked up about this
- 33:35Speaker 1: stupidest shit. If you take it personally, I got to
- 33:47Speaker 1: bring Paul Brody on, that I am hammering on the air, relentlessly,
- 33:57Speaker 1: as I did last Friday, the TV show Sweet Magnolias.
- 34:05Speaker 1: If that really got under your skin, I love that show, J.D.,
- 34:14Speaker 1: how dare you? You might want to I don't know.
- 34:27Speaker 1: Try some meditation or something and pull yourself together because
- 34:37Speaker 1: I mean, really? Gee, I think you're there.
- 34:47Speaker 3: I have a question for you.
- 34:48Speaker 1: Oh, geez. Here we go.
- 34:51Speaker 3: Do you like tomatoes?
- 34:55Speaker 1: What in the hell does this have to do with
- 35:00Speaker 1: what we're talking about? I do like tomatoes. I love tomatoes.
- 35:03Speaker 1: I have too many tomatoes.
- 35:05Speaker 2: So then were you born in Italy or are you
- 35:07Speaker 2: just Italian? Because I'm assuming that if you like tomatoes,
- 35:12Speaker 2: you must have come from Italy.
- 35:18Speaker 3: It's my assumption.
- 35:19Speaker 2: Because apparently when you say something, We all get to
- 35:24Speaker 2: assume whatever we want, and then we tell the whole
- 35:29Speaker 2: world what our assumption is, and they have to believe us,
- 35:32Speaker 2: not you.
- 35:36Speaker 3: Is that correct? According to Kyle.
- 35:40Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 35:41Speaker 2: You know, that you said something, so Kyle has developed
- 35:46Speaker 2: in his mind the stupidity of assumption because he's clearly
- 35:51Speaker 2: ignorant that doesn't.
- 35:52Speaker 3: Know the rules.
- 35:53Speaker 2: And so in my world, if you like tomatoes, you're Italian.
- 35:59Speaker 2: And if you like soap operas, you're gay. So there
- 36:03Speaker 2: you have it. I'm 100% on Kyle's side because I
- 36:07Speaker 2: guess assumption is the way to go.
- 36:09Speaker 1: Yeah. Thank you for sharing that with me, buddy.
- 36:13Speaker 2: You know, because I think he's a moron that he
- 36:16Speaker 2: created a whole world around one statement without seeing that
- 36:20Speaker 2: you were clearly just saying.
- 36:23Speaker 3: This is the facts. Just the facts, ma'am. Here's the facts.
- 36:28Speaker 2: And then he created a whole new storyline just for you.
- 36:33Speaker 2: So you should feel special that a whole new storyline
- 36:37Speaker 2: is created just for you.
- 36:40Speaker 1: Interesting.
- 36:42Speaker 3: Just saying.
- 36:45Speaker 1: Thank you, G.
- 36:49Speaker 3: Am I making sense?
- 36:51Speaker 1: Yeah, no, absolutely. Absolutely.
- 36:53Speaker 3: Okay, because you knew that would burn my ass.
- 36:55Speaker 1: Yeah. I love you, buddy.
- 37:02Speaker 3: And that's how I see it.
- 37:04Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 37:06Speaker 3: I'll bet you Taylor agrees with me, too.
- 37:09Speaker 1: Who knows?
- 37:10Speaker 3: Who knows?
- 37:11Speaker 1: We'll have to wait for a comment from Taylor, but yeah.
- 37:14Speaker 3: Taylor is clearly watching, but she has nothing to say.
- 37:17Speaker 3: Maybe she's just not talkative today. So I'm going to assume.
- 37:22Speaker 2: that if she's not talkative, that she has a headache
- 37:26Speaker 2: and can't talk right now.
- 37:28Speaker 1: There you go.
- 37:30Speaker 3: Because I'm assuming, and I haven't heard from crystal yet.
- 37:32Speaker 1: Definitely.
- 37:33Speaker 3: Crystal.
- 37:34Speaker 2: Yeah. Crystal must be maybe out shopping. I'm going to
- 37:38Speaker 2: say she's a shopaholic. She hasn't said anything yet.
- 37:45Speaker 1: Thank you, buddy.
- 37:47Speaker 3: Love you.
- 37:48Speaker 1: Love you too. Taylor's chatting with you right now. And, uh,
- 37:52Speaker 1: There's something else that I have to say this morning.
- 37:56Speaker 1: I just... I gotta... I gotta just... I gotta purge
- 38:01Speaker 1: a little bit. I just have to. I'm not gonna
- 38:04Speaker 1: get a chance to do it tomorrow. Or Thursday. Friday is... Yeah,
- 38:12Speaker 1: I mean, Friday, you know, we'll come back and revisit
- 38:15Speaker 1: a couple of these things. But this... I just... There's
- 38:18Speaker 1: another thing.
- 38:21Speaker 2: Um....
- 38:24Speaker 1: That I have to say here. I posted about one
- 38:29Speaker 1: of my sponsors, which I do all the time and
- 38:39Speaker 1: every day. And it doesn't even matter what the name
- 38:45Speaker 1: of the sponsor is. But this was, I want to say,
- 38:49Speaker 1: two weeks ago. And I said, at some point, I'm
- 38:53Speaker 1: going to bring this up on the air. And I
- 38:56Speaker 1: posted about how wonderful this sponsor is and what kind
- 39:02Speaker 1: of services they provide. And you will see that on
- 39:09Speaker 1: Aired Out. You bet you will. There's a reason and
- 39:16Speaker 1: a good reason at that of why I've got some
- 39:21Speaker 1: loyal sponsors. the comment that came in from Scarlett Johnston.
- 39:35Speaker 1: And yeah, screw it. You know, the name of the
- 39:39Speaker 1: podcast is aired out. And if you're going to post
- 39:43Speaker 1: something on my platform, it's got your name attached to it.
- 39:51Speaker 1: So therefore why shouldn't we reveal that name into the microphone?
- 39:59Speaker 1: I mean, it's public is public is public. Scarlett Johnston
- 40:06Speaker 1: posted a response to one of my posts endorsing one
- 40:12Speaker 1: of my sponsors and her words were this, Trying everything
- 40:20Speaker 1: just to stay relevant. Nobody cares. End quote. Actually, I care.
- 40:31Speaker 1: And so do the businesses and listeners who have supported
- 40:35Speaker 1: Aired Out for the last eight years. And this particular
- 40:42Speaker 1: sponsor has been very loyal to me. very well locally known, respected,
- 40:51Speaker 1: and loved in our community for a long time. And
- 40:55Speaker 1: I guess you wouldn't know that, Scarlett, living in Lynchburg, Tennessee.
- 41:00Speaker 1: But maybe you're from Vermont. I don't know. Maybe you
- 41:06Speaker 1: just woke up on the wrong side of the bed
- 41:07Speaker 1: that morning and felt the need to post something negative.
- 41:11Speaker 1: I understand. I mean, this is a longtime tradition. presenting
- 41:19Speaker 1: sponsor that has stood behind this show and believed in
- 41:24Speaker 1: what I do for eight years. And in return, I
- 41:33Speaker 1: don't just sell them advertising. I support their business with
- 41:38Speaker 1: my own patronage. I recommend them. I talk about them.
- 41:45Speaker 1: I share their posts. And I have personally told people
- 41:49Speaker 1: how much I believe in their business, what they do.
- 41:54Speaker 1: The relationship that I have with my sponsors is built
- 42:01Speaker 1: on mutual support and trust. Not simply putting an ad
- 42:11Speaker 1: on a platform. It's a lot more than that. They are,
- 42:22Speaker 1: and I'm going to unpack some stuff here. Probably in
- 42:28Speaker 1: the next couple of months, this is going to be
- 42:31Speaker 1: a subject that I'm going to talk about. I'm going
- 42:34Speaker 1: to talk about loyalty an awful lot on Aired Out.
- 42:41Speaker 1: For a while, coming weeks, maybe months. these are sponsors
- 42:50Speaker 1: that are loyal to me and I am and will
- 42:54Speaker 1: be loyal to them. Loyalty means more to me than
- 43:01Speaker 1: ever before. And I thought that I knew what loyalty
- 43:12Speaker 1: was and I, I think I had a pretty good idea,
- 43:17Speaker 1: but I don't think I know what loyalty is like
- 43:25Speaker 1: I do now. And there are snakes in the grass
- 43:35Speaker 1: who say that they are or will be and aren't.
- 43:43Speaker 1: Never were. And hindsight is, I think, 20-20. I think
- 43:51Speaker 1: most of us would agree by that. Hard lessons to
- 44:00Speaker 1: learn when you trust too much and take people for
- 44:10Speaker 1: face value, even though they have never had your back
- 44:14Speaker 1: from the start. but said they did. So any business,
- 44:21Speaker 1: I know I'm getting on a tangent here, any business
- 44:25Speaker 1: who proves their loyalty to me is a big deal.
- 44:33Speaker 1: And I'm proud to support the businesses that support Aired Out,
- 44:37Speaker 1: and I will continue to do exactly that. Whether Scarlett
- 44:45Speaker 1: Johnston thinks that it's relevant or not. You don't have
- 44:51Speaker 1: to care. You don't have to listen. You don't even
- 44:56Speaker 1: have to like it. And you definitely don't have to
- 45:01Speaker 1: like all of my sponsors. There's no rules here. There's
- 45:05Speaker 1: no one that's saying you have to love every single
- 45:08Speaker 1: one of my sponsors. I mean, I love talking about
- 45:13Speaker 1: them on the air. For lots of different reasons. And
- 45:16Speaker 1: like I said, I post about them every day. But
- 45:20Speaker 1: I'm not asking you to do the same. I'm not
- 45:25Speaker 1: asking you to love everything I love. But I'm not
- 45:35Speaker 1: going to stop standing behind people or businesses who have
- 45:41Speaker 1: consistently stood by me. Is that relevant? You bet your
- 45:52Speaker 1: ass it is. So, with that said, I could sit
- 46:03Speaker 1: here and, you know what, God, I think I just might.
- 46:16Speaker 1: Come on the air one of these days, and I'll
- 46:18Speaker 1: make sure that the building is locked so nobody can
- 46:20Speaker 1: get in here like Chuck and G. And tell you
- 46:25Speaker 1: stories of real stories, real examples of how certain friends, yeah,
- 46:37Speaker 1: and I just dropped two of them right there, have
- 46:40Speaker 1: been real examples of how real friends have been loyal.
- 46:49Speaker 1: And there's a few others, too. I don't know if
- 47:01Speaker 1: you paid attention to Rex's post last Saturday, his live
- 47:10Speaker 1: that he did with Dante, but there's another example. loyalty
- 47:22Speaker 1: when no one else is looking. Loyalty to your friend,
- 47:34Speaker 1: your husband, your wife, your girlfriend, your boyfriend, whoever it
- 47:38Speaker 1: may be, when no one else is watching or listening.
- 47:44Speaker 1: That's the kind of stuff that sticks. Anyway, on to
- 48:01Speaker 1: positive things. And thank you for letting me just purge
- 48:08Speaker 1: a little bit. Appreciate that. I was just having fun
- 48:17Speaker 1: with the whole lemonade thing. Please don't, don't. Don't take
- 48:21Speaker 1: this kind of stuff too seriously. At my house right now,
- 48:31Speaker 1: and maybe it's the fact that the Equinox is tonight
- 48:35Speaker 1: at 8.05, or is it 8.06? When we are, the Equinox, fall.
- 48:46Speaker 1: We've got the rum, butter, cookie, candle with the nutmeg
- 48:58Speaker 1: in it that's burning at my house around the clock.
- 49:05Speaker 1: Sherilyn's getting out all of the fall decorations, mixing up
- 49:10Speaker 1: the fall with the Halloween decorations. So excited. So happy. 2025,
- 49:26Speaker 1: according to the National Retail Association, last year, Americans spent,
- 49:34Speaker 1: these are the same Americans who are complaining about about
- 49:39Speaker 1: the price of gas and then spending $ 9 on 20
- 49:44Speaker 1: ounces of lemonade at the Thin Bridge Fair. Americans spent $ 13. 1
- 49:50Speaker 1: billion on Halloween last year. $ 13. 1 up from $ 11. 6 from 2024.
- 50:07Speaker 1: an average of $ 114. 45 per person. Costumes, $ 4.
- 50:08Speaker 2: 3 billion.
- 50:09Speaker 1: Decorations, $ 4. 2 billion, $ 1. 7 of which Sherilyn spent. Candy, $ 3. 9 billion.
- 50:11Speaker 1: This is Halloween candy, not Easter combined, just Halloween. Greeting cards.
- 50:40Speaker 1: $ 700 million on Halloween greeting cards in 2025. Greeting cards.
- 50:54Speaker 1: You open them up. Happy Halloween. You close them up.
- 50:59Speaker 1: You put them in the trash can.
- 51:00Speaker 3: $ 700 million.
- 51:02Speaker 1: Pet costumes. $ 700 million. And I know I'm going to
- 51:11Speaker 1: ruffle a feather here or two. And I'm just going
- 51:14Speaker 1: to get upset. You can't tell me what I can
- 51:16Speaker 1: and can't spend on figgy for Halloween. I'll get whatever
- 51:20Speaker 1: I want to, damn it. $ 860 million on pet Halloween
- 51:24Speaker 1: costumes last year. National Retail Federation's early 2026 data shows
- 51:41Speaker 1: that Halloween shopping is already underway. With one quarter of
- 51:47Speaker 1: consumers having purchased at least one Halloween item by early August.
- 52:00Speaker 1: Halloween isn't a holiday anymore. It's an economic event. And
- 52:06Speaker 1: it's global. I know you're guilty, G. And I want
- 52:13Speaker 1: to know what Figgy is wearing. And I want to
- 52:18Speaker 1: know the price tag. Probably going to be Timu. But yeah,
- 52:28Speaker 1: the spells at my house right now with the candles
- 52:32Speaker 1: going and we get the blankets out and all of
- 52:36Speaker 1: the fall decorations, and then Sherilyn goes into this thing
- 52:42Speaker 1: where she's like, you know what we're going to have tonight?
- 52:48Speaker 1: A homemade chicken pot pie in the oven. Woo! All right.
- 52:59Speaker 1: I do. I freak out about the chicken pot pies,
- 53:02Speaker 1: all right? I come unglued, actually. We had quite a
- 53:15Speaker 1: night at our house last night. I haven't even had
- 53:17Speaker 1: time to tell G about this. When you have, when
- 53:26Speaker 1: it gets cooler at night and you live in an
- 53:30Speaker 1: old farmhouse, you know, the critters are going for, they're,
- 53:35Speaker 1: making nests in your installation you know the cute cuddly
- 53:39Speaker 1: fluffy little adorable squirrels that have been on the bird
- 53:44Speaker 1: feeder all summer that's when they're like whoa damn it's
- 53:48Speaker 1: getting chilly out let's go into the insulation and and
- 53:52Speaker 1: make a nest and shit everywhere um so we got
- 53:58Speaker 1: critters coming into the house it's an old farmhouse too
- 54:01Speaker 1: so it's easy to get into um The fact that
- 54:04Speaker 1: we have two cats, this is Christmas for them. They
- 54:09Speaker 1: love this. Here's what happens in an old farmhouse when
- 54:13Speaker 1: you have a cat almost every night. Watch the cat.
- 54:18Speaker 1: And this is Melvin and Momo. And this is what
- 54:22Speaker 1: they're doing at night. If you pay attention, if you
- 54:27Speaker 1: watch them, this is what they're doing. You'll see them
- 54:29Speaker 1: go like this. And they'll stare at something. There's a
- 54:36Speaker 1: mouse in the wall. There's something in the floorboards. There's something.
- 54:42Speaker 1: They can hear it. They can see it. And Momo
- 54:45Speaker 1: got one last night. And some of these cats, sickos
- 54:51Speaker 1: like Momo, love to partly kill, maim, break a leg
- 54:57Speaker 1: or two. But they're still in. I know I'm offending
- 55:01Speaker 1: someone right now. I know. Animal lovers. I know. J.D.,
- 55:08Speaker 1: shame on you for owning cats. Do you know they
- 55:11Speaker 1: kill birds? So we had a half-alive mouse. I think
- 55:19Speaker 1: the ankle was broken. Running on three and a half
- 55:24Speaker 1: legs through the house last night. Screaming. Screaming. And the
- 55:35Speaker 1: cat was taunting it, Momo, and chasing it and catching it,
- 55:40Speaker 1: catch and release, catch and release, you know, kind of
- 55:42Speaker 1: like the judicial system in Vermont. And this thing kept
- 55:47Speaker 1: getting away and it would, then it would be, enjoy
- 55:51Speaker 1: the challenge of finding it again. And my God, this
- 55:58Speaker 1: went on for the longest time. Sherilyn screaming up off
- 56:02Speaker 1: the couch, Get me a Tupperware container stat. We got
- 56:09Speaker 1: an emergency in the living room. I got the Tupperware container.
- 56:15Speaker 1: We threw it out, but, um, we tried to catch
- 56:18Speaker 1: this thing and tried to hold the cat back. And,
- 56:21Speaker 1: oh my God, you just, the drama. Unbelievable at my
- 56:28Speaker 1: house last night. Um, 20 stores in 20 days. It's
- 56:38Speaker 1: what I'm doing. I am touring 20. I'm going to
- 56:43Speaker 1: tour 20 different Vermont country stores. And I'm going to
- 56:50Speaker 1: do it in 20 days. I have asked you. What
- 56:58Speaker 1: stores are your favorite? What stores absolutely should be on
- 57:03Speaker 1: my list to visit with a camera, to go inside,
- 57:10Speaker 1: maybe interview an owner or an employee, showcase what they've got,
- 57:17Speaker 1: who's got the best whoopie pie, the best cup of coffee,
- 57:20Speaker 1: the best creamy, the best pastries, sandwiches. Where should I go?
- 57:30Speaker 1: And the response has been pretty cool. I've got a
- 57:35Speaker 1: lot of text messages. Right here is my Wells Corner Market.
- 57:44Speaker 1: Forgot about that one. This is my map right here.
- 57:52Speaker 1: And I'm going to, I don't know if you can
- 57:57Speaker 1: see it on the camera. Maybe you can. Not really. But, no,
- 58:06Speaker 1: you can't. But that's okay. I can. Here, I've got
- 58:10Speaker 1: towns highlighted. Oh, there, there you can kind of see.
- 58:15Speaker 1: From Putney all the way down south, just north of Brattleboro,
- 58:22Speaker 1: all the way up to Glover, Craftsbury, Burke. And everywhere
- 58:30Speaker 1: in between. What is there, 252 towns in Vermont? I
- 58:39Speaker 1: think that's right. Most of them have a country store. And, man,
- 58:48Speaker 1: there are some really good ones. And I've been looking
- 58:51Speaker 1: at them online. I'm like, ooh, got to go there. Okay.
- 58:57Speaker 1: But I'm asking you, and I'm finalizing this list here,
- 59:01Speaker 1: I'm coming down to the wire here, and I I
- 59:09Speaker 1: need to start moving. But if my list right now,
- 59:18Speaker 1: I've got like, I want to say 13 But I'm
- 59:25Speaker 1: looking for 20. I want to do 20 Vermont country
- 59:29Speaker 1: stores in 20 days. I'm asking you, you can drop
- 59:35Speaker 1: it in the comment right now. What store is an
- 59:41Speaker 1: absolute must, should be a must on my list? What
- 59:44Speaker 1: store do you think I should go to? Anywhere in
- 59:51Speaker 1: the state. And I know, J.D., how are you going
- 59:55Speaker 1: to do this with the price of gasoline? I'm not
- 59:59Speaker 1: worried about the price of gasoline. I'm worried about the
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: price of lemonade. But what stores, what stores have the
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: best whatever where you say to me, J.D., oh, my God,
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: you need to have one of the maple whoopie pies.
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: That's what I'm looking for. So you tell me. I've got,
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: I think, 12 or 13 that are in stone right now.
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: But I'm looking for a few more. And I want
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: to hear from you. I want to hear what you
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: have to say. What else do I need to tell you?
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: I know there's today's National Ice Cream Cone Day today,
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: by the way. Yeah. Let's make ice cream today. the
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: national day while we're freezing our asses off up here
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: in Vermont. Great idea. 39 days to Halloween, by the way. Um,
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: I got to give you the forecast here. Cause people
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: are freaking out about it. And I'll tell you why
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: in a second. Um, I've got a, uh, I've got
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: a great show for you tomorrow. I'll tell you in
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: a second, but I can't wait for the rest. The
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: rest of this week is going to be amazing. Um,
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: And I want to say this again. If you're looking
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: for something to do tonight, $ 5 Tuesdays are back at
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: the Capitol Theater in Montpelier. Go. Five bucks. FGBtheaters.com if
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: you want to see all the listings, all the movies
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: that are playing tonight. Check them out. Follow them on
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: Facebook and on Instagram for, you know, Showtime special events.
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: You can rent the movie theater. You can get a beverage,
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: any kind of beverage, even alcohol. Have a glass of wine.
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: Have a cold beer. FGBtheaters.com. It's Tuesday. $ 5. Weather from
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: NBC Channel 5. 45 degrees right now in Barrie and foggy. Well,
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: it was foggy. Still foggy in some areas. I'm seeing
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: some blue sky up there right now. 63 later today.
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: Mostly sunny skies. Tonight. clear in 36. Not seeing the
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: F word anywhere, even though tonight officially becomes fall. So
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: I think the tomatoes are going to have a little
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: bit more time to ripen before, you know, what comes
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: in on the pumpkin. What else? Wednesday, tomorrow, sun and 66.
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: There's your outdoor project weather right there. Thursday. And I
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: am watching this developing storm system for this weekend. I'm
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: looking right now. And I know there's been some talk
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: of a possible nor'easter. But right now, the National Weather
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: Service says it is too early to call it just that.
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: And I've talked with a couple of people that are
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: freaking out. J.D. There's a Nor'easter coming this weekend. Back
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: down the hatches! We have a low-pressure system that could
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: bring some rain into Vermont, especially Saturday, with the potential
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: for some heavier rain in southern Vermont and some strong
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: winds in the higher elevations. So if you're up on
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: Camel's Hump, could be raining, wind's going to be blowing. Hard. Uh,
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: it is definitely something that to keep their, you know,
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: to keep your eye on, I'll be watching when more
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: of the, uh, weekend forecast comes into focus, but don't, don't,
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: don't freak out about this. If you got plans, Oh,
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: the fall festival is this weekend, JD. And you're telling
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: me there's a Nor'easter coming. It's not what I said. Um,
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: Also got a text message about I-89 between Bethel and
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: Brookfield complaining. I don't, I don't work for V-Trans. I
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: cannot control the paving in the fact that it's going
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: in both directions. I'm so sorry. I know the grooved
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: pavement and you got the motorcycle and the uneven lanes
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: and the the Dust is a pain in the ass.
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: Mud pillar to Waterbury. Southbound lane closures between exit 10
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: and exit 8 Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: 5 p.m. I'll say this, slow the hell down too.
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: 55 or less. Doesn't matter if the guy behind you
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: is pissed. Slow down. because you'll get a ticket and
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: it's one of the I think it's double in the
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: work zones. Royalton. They're working on the bridge there near
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: exit three. Still, I think they will be forever. Work
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: continues around the Napa auto parts area and Hill Street
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: Railroad crossing right here in the Granite City. altering one
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: way traffic flaggers Temporary signals, curb, sidewalk, work, all things
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: that should make us so happy. Infrastructure changes here in
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: the Granite City. Isn't that beautiful? You've got to love it.
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: Let's see. Northfield, just south of Route 64, closed for
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: the construction season. That whole area is kind of a
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: pain in the ass too. Let's see, Plainfield Route 2,
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: alternating one-way traffic west of Route 214, guardrail installation. Hartford, U.S.
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: Route 4, Quechee Gorge, went through that a couple of
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: days ago. Exercise and patience in that area. And man,
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: I tell you, you know, road construction and leaf peepers
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: at the same time is rough. I loved sitting in
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: front of the post office for 10 whole minutes yesterday afternoon.
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: It was a beautiful day to do that, Taylor. Wasn't it?
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: By the way, Love the dash cam vids. Versier 113,
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: they're putting a new bridge in there too. Line stripping
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: is underway. Freshly painted lines, wet paint, slow down, stay
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: clear of the cones and the paint. I think the
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: biggest central Vermont commuter issue is 89 between Montpelier and Waterbury.
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: If I had to vote, I would say that's probably
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: the big one. I know I mentioned Travis Payette's birthday
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: this morning, but I forgot about Debbie Boone. I'm sorry, Debbie,
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: if you're listening this morning. Debbie is 70 years old today.
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: Pat Boone's daughter. You remember this song, You Light Up
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: My Life? You want me to sing it? Facebook question
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: of the day, and I'll put this up in just
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: a minute here. First day of fall. Congratulations, we've made it.
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: What are you most excited for? And I've heard people, oh,
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: the pumpkin patch and the fall decorations, getting the hay
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: bales out.
- 1:08:36Speaker 2: Apple picking.
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: Apple picking. Mold cider. Leaf peeping. The smells. The football season.
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: By the way, oh my God, did you see that
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: game last night? Rams beating up hard on the Giants.
- 1:08:56Speaker 2: 28-6.
- 1:08:56Speaker 3: Ouch.
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: Maybe it's Halloween. Maybe it's the vibes. You know, during
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: the summer, people like G complaining about, oh my God,
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: it's raining again. But during the fall when it's, Glenn
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: says bow season. During the fall, there's so many of
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: you out there that you love the cold, rainy days,
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: especially at the beginning of the season. Come March, you're
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: losing your shit. But, oh, it's rainy and cozy all day.
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: I got the butter cookie candle burning. I got my
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: cozy blanket. I got the fake fireplace going. Have a
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: marvelous rest of your day. And Friday, when G comes in,
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: one of the things that we're going to be talking about,
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: and I'm warning you right now, I'm just warning you,
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: it's going to be a big thing. He doesn't even
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: know it. But one of the things we're going to
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: be talking about Friday is how everybody is freaking out
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: about Spirit Halloween coming to Berlin. People are freaking out
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: with either excitement or they're freaking out because they're pissed
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: that it hasn't opened yet. What's taking so long? We're
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: a month away. We're 39 days away from Halloween. Just
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: keep your pants on, okay? We're all going to be
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: all right. But we're going to have some fun with
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: that on Friday. Enjoy the rest of your day. And yes, Scarlett,
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: have a gander at my presenting sponsors right there. Scarlett Johnston,
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: if you're still listening. Enjoy the rest of your day, everybody.
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: God bless. Thanks for catching the Air It Out podcast.
