- 1:10Speaker 2: it was.
- 1:10Speaker 1: An escape from Alcatraz and con Air was on Air
- 1:15Speaker 1: was an airplane full.
- 1:16Speaker 2: Of or they weren't escaping from someplace on the plane
- 1:22Speaker 2: they were they were being transferred somewhere. Yeah, and then
- 1:25Speaker 2: they took.
- 1:25Speaker 4: Over the plane they got Okay, I haven't seen the rock,
- 1:27Speaker 4: so I guess con Air is my.
- 1:29Speaker 1: I would have to say conn Air because I would
- 1:31Speaker 1: go with con Air because of the cast, like we

- 2:05Speaker 7: But I'm from Springville?
- 2:07Speaker 2: Okay, what's your what?
- 2:11Speaker 7: So I just got to say, any commercial, any song
- 2:15Speaker 7: that's got sirens, and it's just got to go. I
- 2:18Speaker 7: am driving and all of a sudden, you here signs
- 2:20Speaker 7: I'm kicking all my mirrcy and where I got to
- 2:22Speaker 7: get over. Even if it's the same commercial multiple times,
- 2:27Speaker 7: it sucks.
- 2:28Speaker 2: I agree. I think they should replace it with gunfire. Yeah,
- 2:32Speaker 2: gunfire sound effects. Then you'll just be ducking well a
- 2:36Speaker 2: not in West.
- 2:37Speaker 7: Valley, so I would probably still look around, all right.
- 2:41Speaker 7: And then also I just want to thank y'all for
- 2:44Speaker 7: being my friends for twenty five years since I first
- 2:46Speaker 7: moved out here. I've listened every morning that I can,
- 2:50Speaker 7: and I just absolutely love y'all.
- 2:52Speaker 2: Well, thanks, and now you're going to remind me that
- 2:54Speaker 2: I still owe you twenty bucks, right.
- 2:58Speaker 5: Well, sure if you want.
- 3:00Speaker 2: Thanks.
- 3:02Speaker 4: Thanks Joe, Yes, Joe, thank you very much.
- 3:05Speaker 2: Let's go to Joseph. Hello, Yeah, what Joseph? What's up
- 3:10Speaker 2: with you?
- 3:12Speaker 5: Hey? Hello? Good morning. I want to say thank you
- 3:14Speaker 5: for all you do, big fan.
- 3:16Speaker 2: Sure, what can we do for.
- 3:20Speaker 5: So my in laws they live in Peru, and they
- 3:23Speaker 5: live in kind of the jungle area, and their house
- 3:27Speaker 5: kind of isn't the greatest condition. It hasn't been for
- 3:30Speaker 5: a while, but this past week during some storms, their
- 3:33Speaker 5: back wall actually collapsed and we're kind of nervous that
- 3:36Speaker 5: the whole thing is gonna come down and they don't
- 3:38Speaker 5: really have anywhere to go. So we've created that go
- 3:41Speaker 5: fund me for them. So we're just kind of seeking donations.
- 3:44Speaker 5: If anyone has anything to spare, we'd appreciate it, and
- 3:48Speaker 5: they really need it. It's called a Safe Home for
- 3:51Speaker 5: my in laws. It's kind of a crazy link. So
- 3:54Speaker 5: maybe if I can send it to you, if you
- 3:56Speaker 5: can post that somewhere.
- 3:57Speaker 2: Or I think people just go to look for for
- 4:02Speaker 2: that to title go fund me though.
- 4:04Speaker 5: Yeah, you can look under go fund me. It's under
- 4:07Speaker 5: my it's under Joseph is the I guess greater of that.
- 4:10Speaker 5: So yeah, if you look for it, it's called a
- 4:12Speaker 5: safe home for my in laws.
- 4:13Speaker 3: Okay, is there a minimum you're trying to raise.
- 4:17Speaker 5: We're trying to raise at least four thousand. The exchange
- 4:20Speaker 5: rate is pretty good, so that should cover at least
- 4:22Speaker 5: the repair of the back wall. But if we get
- 4:26Speaker 5: more than that, then there's more stuff that definitely needs fixing.
- 4:29Speaker 5: But yeah, four thousand is what we're seeking.
- 4:31Speaker 2: Okay, hear about that.
- 4:32Speaker 1: We're in Preu Lima Preu.
- 4:36Speaker 5: Keito's off in the jungles.
- 4:37Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, I think that's Lima carry Lima pro.
- 4:40Speaker 2: I think it's Lima Preu. Thanks, thanks Joseph.
- 4:44Speaker 3: Best of love to her in laws.
- 4:45Speaker 5: Yeah, thank you so much, thank you, thank you.
- 4:47Speaker 3: All right, let's go to Aaron.
- 4:50Speaker 4: Hello, Yeah, what.
- 4:51Speaker 2: Hi, Aeron? What's up?
- 4:54Speaker 8: Hey?
- 4:54Speaker 4: Guys?
- 4:55Speaker 9: Thank you so much taking my call.
- 4:56Speaker 8: Yeah, so I called last week where I'm in a
- 5:02Speaker 8: band called Aaron Drew, and I just wanted to promote
- 5:05Speaker 8: the Joy Foundation.
- 5:07Speaker 9: And they're in Bountiful and the basement of Royal India
- 5:11Speaker 9: Restaurant and they do an open mic night every single
- 5:15Speaker 9: Saturday night. They do an open jam session from seven
- 5:19Speaker 9: to eight and then from eight to ten they do
- 5:22Speaker 9: an open mic night. And they're it's a nonprofit organization.
- 5:27Speaker 9: It is only there due to donations and things like that,
- 5:32Speaker 9: and anybody who's anybody can come and put their name
- 5:35Speaker 9: on the board and get a five minute slot. And
- 5:38Speaker 9: Aaron Drew is there every single Saturday night.
- 5:41Speaker 2: What does the Joy Foundation do in particular?
- 5:46Speaker 10: So they promote the music and arts for the youth
- 5:50Speaker 10: and the community.
- 5:53Speaker 9: So they have a Facebook page and they also they're
- 5:58Speaker 9: online as well, and you can get more information there
- 6:02Speaker 9: from people who are actually running the things.
- 6:04Speaker 10: But okay, it's been a really really good experience every.
- 6:08Speaker 2: Single time with don and it's and it smells like
- 6:11Speaker 2: Indian food too.
- 6:14Speaker 11: Yeah, it's it's.
- 6:15Speaker 10: Right right below that restaurant.
- 6:17Speaker 9: Yeah, you know, it's a little hard to find.
- 6:20Speaker 10: If you find the door, you got it, And they
- 6:21Speaker 10: got a little whiteboard every Saturday night out front.
- 6:24Speaker 2: All right, thanks for calling, Seya, thank you, thank you.
- 6:28Speaker 2: We'll see how that Hello, yeah, what that's how it works.
- 6:31Speaker 2: We got a couple of calls waiting there. Hello, Yeah,
- 6:34Speaker 2: what this is? Ray? Hi?
- 6:36Speaker 4: Ray?
- 6:37Speaker 2: What's up?
- 6:39Speaker 6: Hello? Needed to call and thank Carrie specifically. I recently
- 6:44Speaker 6: returned to Utah from doing twenty years in the Air Force,
- 6:48Speaker 6: and Carrie did a contribution to Salt Lake City Weekly
- 6:54Speaker 6: about the best of twenty twenty five. Oh yeah, and
- 6:58Speaker 6: that was a fantastic article, your introduction and then the
- 7:01Speaker 6: rest of that piece, and it was just a wonderful
- 7:04Speaker 6: way to you know, return to Utah. Remember all the
- 7:07Speaker 6: great places, find some fantastic buries, and I wanted to
- 7:11Speaker 6: say thank you for contributing to them. And I think
- 7:13Speaker 6: they're a great publication and I love your program.
- 7:16Speaker 2: So, Kerry, what I didn't cat? What is the What
- 7:19Speaker 2: did you write about? It was? It was a while ago,
- 7:22Speaker 2: so I kind of forgot.
- 7:23Speaker 1: It was just it was for a some sort of
- 7:27Speaker 1: travel magazine that they would have that City Weekly made
- 7:30Speaker 1: for like hotels and you know what visitors.
- 7:34Speaker 2: And what did you write about? I don't remember what
- 7:36Speaker 2: I recommended.
- 7:37Speaker 1: I think I recommended a couple of restaurants and comic
- 7:40Speaker 1: book stores and the heavy heavy metal shop.
- 7:45Speaker 12: Okay, all right, all right, thank you, right, very nice,
- 7:48Speaker 12: thank you, thank you. All right, let's go to Molly Mormon.
- 7:53Speaker 12: What good morning, good morning.
- 7:58Speaker 13: You needed to write that down my birthday, thank you,
- 8:04Speaker 13: And I just want to say thank you for being
- 8:06Speaker 13: part of my life for gosh, now half of my
- 8:09Speaker 13: life more than half.
- 8:10Speaker 2: Oh really, what's a half?
- 8:12Speaker 14: That's a half?
- 8:13Speaker 13: I know that's what happened when we sit.
- 8:15Speaker 14: Down and do math.
- 8:16Speaker 2: Yeah, well we're gonna do it. We're gonna have a
- 8:18Speaker 2: fortieth anniversary party. Looks like we'll probably have it over
- 8:24Speaker 2: here at well I well, it's a really nice place. Yeah,
- 8:29Speaker 2: and it's going to be a sit down or it's
- 8:31Speaker 2: going to be a dinner and oh and I kept
- 8:35Speaker 2: thinking about it. I want, I really would like to
- 8:37Speaker 2: have a harp player for our for our big party. Yeah,
- 8:41Speaker 2: somebody somebody playing the harp. And my wife said, well,
- 8:44Speaker 2: that's kind of off brand, isn't it. And I said, well,
- 8:47Speaker 2: that's sort of the point. But then I thought about
- 8:49Speaker 2: it again, and I thought, I'll bet there's a person
- 8:51Speaker 2: who plays the harp who plays alternative and rock songs
- 8:55Speaker 2: on the harp, and I think that would be really cool. Sure.
- 9:00Speaker 13: Yeah, classical covers are a big thing right now, ever
- 9:03Speaker 13: since Bridgerton, you know.
- 9:05Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, So, anybody out there plays the harp, get
- 9:08Speaker 2: a hold of Katie and we'll talk to you about
- 9:13Speaker 2: maybe playing the harp at our fortieth anniversary party. Retirement.
- 9:18Speaker 1: I'm not comfortable talking about this until everything is signed
- 9:23Speaker 1: because it could easily fall through, But at the very least,
- 9:28Speaker 1: I've spoken with fan X and they've shown some interest
- 9:32Speaker 1: in a radio from Hell at forty panel, So.
- 9:38Speaker 2: We'll see about that.
- 9:38Speaker 4: Well they accept harp players, No, that would be separate, different,
- 9:44Speaker 4: a whole different thing.
- 9:45Speaker 2: Yeah, different thing altogether. Thank you, Mollie. Happy birthday.
- 9:48Speaker 3: Happy birthday, Molly.
- 9:51Speaker 14: Thank you very much. Have gooday?
- 9:52Speaker 2: All right?
- 9:53Speaker 3: Hello, yeah, what let's go to Natalie.
- 9:56Speaker 8: Hello?
- 9:57Speaker 2: Yeah, what Natalie? What's up?
- 10:00Speaker 5: Hi?
- 10:01Speaker 11: How are you guys?
- 10:02Speaker 2: Just fine? Thanks?
- 10:04Speaker 4: Good? Hey.
- 10:05Speaker 11: I had a question. So there was a time a
- 10:07Speaker 11: while back that I heard you guys say that if
- 10:10Speaker 11: you register as a Republican, you can vote Democrat and Republican,
- 10:16Speaker 11: but if you're registered as a Democrat, you can't do both.
- 10:19Speaker 11: Is that true?
- 10:22Speaker 2: Republicans have a closed primary. If you are registered as
- 10:27Speaker 2: a Republican, you can vote in the Republican primary if
- 10:31Speaker 2: you are, it doesn't matter. With the Democrats the Democratic primary,
- 10:37Speaker 2: you can be a Republican or a Democrat and vote
- 10:39Speaker 2: in the Democratic Party there.
- 10:42Speaker 4: Like during the last election, they primary between Spencer Cox
- 10:46Speaker 4: and what's his name that Liman. Yeah, and so people
- 10:51Speaker 4: to that strategy registered as Republicans, voting for what they
- 10:55Speaker 4: believe the lesser of two evils, Spencer Coxe or a Lyman.
- 10:58Speaker 4: So when it it's the actual election, the general election,
- 11:02Speaker 4: you can still vote for whoever you want there, but
- 11:04Speaker 4: the primary itself is closed off to Republicans.
- 11:08Speaker 3: Yes, so registered Republicans excuse me, there you.
- 11:11Speaker 2: Go, Okay, okay, that makes sense.
- 11:13Speaker 11: Thank you, yeah, thank you for clarifying.
- 11:17Speaker 2: Here you go, have a.
- 11:18Speaker 10: Good day, you guys.
- 11:20Speaker 2: Let's go to Darcy. Hell Yeah, what hello, Darcy.
- 11:24Speaker 14: Good morning, Lawrence. How are you guys this morning?
- 11:26Speaker 2: And you know, Darcy, I I was just driving along
- 11:30Speaker 2: State Street a couple of days ago, and every time
- 11:34Speaker 2: I'm out in that area of town, I notice your
- 11:38Speaker 2: little sign in your shop there, Spooks.
- 11:40Speaker 3: Boutique Oh, this is that Darcy.
- 11:44Speaker 14: Yes, yes, it is it my friend Nick.
- 11:47Speaker 2: Yeah, Nick's there, Yeah Nick.
- 11:51Speaker 14: Hey, guys, So I'm actually not the owner. I just
- 11:54Speaker 14: have a little consignment spot in the shop my good
- 11:56Speaker 14: friend land owner, And this year we are celebratting Spooks's
- 12:00Speaker 14: fourteenth birthday on May night from eleven am to six pm.
- 12:04Speaker 14: We'd invite everybody to invite. We invite everybody to join
- 12:09Speaker 14: us for local artists and all of our little creations
- 12:12Speaker 14: we make, and a raffle. We do have a trick
- 12:16Speaker 14: or treat event for the kids, so we head out candy.
- 12:20Speaker 5: Everything is free.
- 12:21Speaker 14: We'll have a food truck. But we just want you
- 12:23Speaker 14: guys to come out and see all of the local
- 12:25Speaker 14: vendors who put their stuff into this wonderful shop. The owner, Landry,
- 12:28Speaker 14: is a fantastic person. She just deserves the best and
- 12:32Speaker 14: I would love to do anything to help her.
- 12:33Speaker 2: Out all kinds of curiosities there. I'm in the market
- 12:37Speaker 2: for a Fiji mermaid. Can you can I get a
- 12:40Speaker 2: Fiji mermaid there?
- 12:41Speaker 5: Oh?
- 12:42Speaker 14: You know, you know, we just might have one. It
- 12:44Speaker 14: might be a little dried out and crunchy.
- 12:46Speaker 4: But yeah, that's okay, ironically maybe yeah, you guys should
- 12:50Speaker 4: go down the shop. I love Spooks footique. You guys
- 12:52Speaker 4: have such a inventory there, I'll stop it.
- 12:57Speaker 14: You know, I've got to give a little shout out
- 12:58Speaker 14: to Nick because we did sponsor a little bit hearing
- 13:02Speaker 14: Frink Chris right, Nick just put everything together. Get a
- 13:05Speaker 14: wonderful job. So thanks again it for being such a
- 13:08Speaker 14: cool dude.
- 13:08Speaker 3: That's very sweet of you. Thank you, Darcy, all right.
- 13:12Speaker 2: Thanks for being sweet.
- 13:13Speaker 14: Thank you.
- 13:14Speaker 11: Guys.
- 13:15Speaker 1: If you'd like to advertise, contact Nick Davis and Davis and.
- 13:20Speaker 4: Davis at bamedia dot com is the email and he'll
- 13:23Speaker 4: be your friend.
- 13:26Speaker 2: Eight seven seven six oh two nine six nine six
- 13:28Speaker 2: The lines have gone dead. Hello, Yeah, what what will
- 13:32Speaker 2: we do?
- 13:32Speaker 9: Oh?
- 13:33Speaker 2: We got a text question? What's that?
- 13:35Speaker 1: Should I have barbecue pulled pork sandwiches with cheddar, bacon, peblano,
- 13:40Speaker 1: chopped salad or char boiled steak with hot honey, Brussels
- 13:45Speaker 1: sprouts spreaded on ricotta flatbreads the steak, the steak with
- 13:51Speaker 1: the Brussels sprouts and the flatbread.
- 13:55Speaker 3: Too much work? Pick up a cob salad at the store.
- 13:59Speaker 2: I'd know with the pulled pork sandwiches. But yeah, let's see.
- 14:06Speaker 3: Oh, here's someone says we should do a Boner of
- 14:09Speaker 3: the year.
- 14:10Speaker 2: Trust me, we we tried that one. Yeah, we tried that.
- 14:12Speaker 2: It was it was too hard to keep tracking. Yeah,
- 14:16Speaker 2: very labor intensive, somebody. We we ended up screwing it
- 14:20Speaker 2: up all the time.
- 14:21Speaker 4: You do think there's a whole like database here of
- 14:24Speaker 4: the best of segments and like all the things that
- 14:27Speaker 4: have happened, Like, yeah, Katie is pointing at herself. It's
- 14:30Speaker 4: her and it's too much work for it is like
- 14:33Speaker 4: it would have to be one person's dedicated job to
- 14:36Speaker 4: maintain everything.
- 14:37Speaker 3: So stuff just kind of collects dust in the corner.
- 14:41Speaker 2: We don't know where it is after we say it.
- 14:43Speaker 1: Yeah, well, if you don't call, we're gonna have to
- 14:45Speaker 1: resort to another conair question eight six two nine.
- 14:51Speaker 2: That was Zane. He just he's just being Zane.
- 14:55Speaker 1: Sure, Okay, here's a text question. Why do people call
- 14:59Speaker 1: you lords? And where did that come from?
- 15:02Speaker 5: Uh?
- 15:03Speaker 2: Jeez, I don't remember. Where does anything come from? I
- 15:06Speaker 2: just I just started saying it one day. Yeah. There
- 15:12Speaker 2: there used to be a radio team called they called
- 15:15Speaker 2: themselves Radio Gods. Okay, and uh I thought that sounded
- 15:19Speaker 2: kind of fun, but not right. Not quite right, and
- 15:23Speaker 2: I just sort of was kicking it around in my
- 15:25Speaker 2: head and I said, we could be the lords of
- 15:28Speaker 2: morning Radio.
- 15:29Speaker 4: Okay, yea, the Sons of the Soil. You guys have
- 15:32Speaker 4: been interviewed plenty in publications. Did somebody pick it up?
- 15:36Speaker 2: And I don't know. Now we're Kentucky colonels. Okay, the
- 15:40Speaker 2: Kentucky colonels of morning Radio.
- 15:42Speaker 3: I haven't heard that one.
- 15:44Speaker 2: Yeah, well, we haven't used that one a lot.
- 15:45Speaker 1: Yeah, because a person from Kentucky has made Paul all yeah,
- 15:51Speaker 1: made us official Kentucky colonel Okay.
- 15:54Speaker 2: All right, And Sons of the Soil are hillbillies, so
- 15:57Speaker 2: we're not really hillbilldyings.
- 15:58Speaker 1: Yeah, so I'd back away from this Sons of the
- 16:00Speaker 1: Soil thing. How long after a marriage is acceptable to
- 16:04Speaker 1: have a reception.
- 16:07Speaker 2: I don't think there's any rules.
- 16:10Speaker 4: A rule, well, probably within the year, I would think, yeah,
- 16:15Speaker 4: six months, whenever you want, really, but people are going
- 16:19Speaker 4: to scratch their heads.
- 16:20Speaker 2: Whenever you're whenever you're running low on stuff, yeah, I
- 16:25Speaker 2: like that.
- 16:26Speaker 3: I like that a lot bath towels.
- 16:28Speaker 2: Yeah, if you're running low on stuff, have a reception.
- 16:30Speaker 4: Here's what you do is you put together a registry
- 16:33Speaker 4: after your wedding. So you wait for the gifts unfiltered
- 16:36Speaker 4: to come in during the wedding, and then you put
- 16:39Speaker 4: out the call if you really want to maximize your.
- 16:40Speaker 2: You're got married very fairly recently one and you had
- 16:44Speaker 2: a you had a reception or a registry, right, Yes,
- 16:48Speaker 2: I recall how did that work out?
- 16:50Speaker 3: I didn't put anything on it.
- 16:52Speaker 2: Well, you're not supposed to.
- 16:55Speaker 3: Well no, my like my wife and my mother in
- 16:58Speaker 3: law are much.
- 16:59Speaker 2: More pro collected all of the items, yeah, like.
- 17:02Speaker 4: Silverware, Uh, you know, betting all the likes to get Like.
- 17:07Speaker 2: Well, that's what I'm asking. Yeah, did you get all
- 17:09Speaker 2: the stuff that we know?
- 17:10Speaker 3: We got a lot of stuff.
- 17:11Speaker 4: Did you get all of the stuff that was on
