- 0:00Seriously, really and say brings his basuk Good see brings a
- 0:08basuk of and the class the way they came out breaks it down.
- 0:22Means literally, a person should be willing to give up of his
- 0:26total self and the sake of love of Hashem and of all his money
- 0:30homo dirca for that sake as well.
- 0:33Which means that the expectation or the hope is that a person not
- 0:38have to be in this position ever.
- 0:40But be willing to say, even if it's going to cost me a lot of
- 0:42money to do them, it's far. I'm all in.
- 0:45Even if it's very expensive or I have the whole I'll give you an
- 0:49example where it chose if a person's forced to do the right
- 0:54thing and financially is going to cost himself a lot of money.
- 0:57And people face this and you say, oh, sometimes and they make
- 1:00the right decision, let's say of doing that right thing and they
- 1:04cost themselves a lot of money. And the only reason why they're
- 1:06doing it is because I have a connection to Hashem and I
- 1:10believe it's the right thing to do that connection.
- 1:13That is a moment of the after the shamma as a third on the
- 1:19list. And it's all of your might.
- 1:21All of your might actually means all of your money and it means a
- 1:25person is willing to say I have the money in my hands.
- 1:28It's coming to me. I can easily get it all those
- 1:30angles and say, you know what, I'm not going to do that ideal.
- 1:34I'm not going to pursue that option.
- 1:35I'm not going to profession over there.
- 1:37I'm not going to do that because it's wrong.
- 1:39And that angle. People love to talk about doing
- 1:42that. People have a very hard time
- 1:44actually following through on that.
- 1:46I understand why, but he's telling you that's love of a
- 1:49shame. Behold, no, the all energy.
- 1:51Now the issue is, as we said yesterday, love normally is
- 1:56connected and contingent on a certain thing.
- 1:59And our goal when we come to this connection to Hashem is to
- 2:04have that connection completely independent of a reason.
- 2:09I love Hashem simply because I do.
- 2:11That's what we said. That's our goal.
- 2:14Why is it the goal? Because otherwise, if it's
- 2:18dependent on reasons, what ends up happening #1 the reason go
- 2:23away, the love is gone. Classic example that we said,
- 2:27you know, you talk was his love of yourself.
- 2:30He said I saw he loved him because of reason.
- 2:32And the rabbi say everyone says that's what I told you, the
- 2:35reason to tell you that it was contingent on something.
- 2:38And it was all depend on the fact that I saw have either
- 2:41tricked him or I saw have served him.
- 2:43When either one of those going away, it's haka vino loved the
- 2:47alcove just the same 'cause you minus the reason, you minus the
- 2:51love. That's the issue in the morning
- 2:53#2 and then you play into a very unhealthy cycle.
- 2:58The way it works is if you love is based on reasons, then you
- 3:01constantly like only the basing. You love basing the reason, like
- 3:06we said before, and also you're trying to find those reasons and
- 3:09you find opposite reasons and you get upset.
- 3:11If your relationship is so much contingent on things, it becomes
- 3:15a very unhealthy relationship. That's reality.
- 3:19And that's really something we do not need to have with Hashem.
- 3:21I was supposed to have a real 1. So now how do you get there this
- 3:25recess? Omna Kadesh reality is people do
- 3:29face challenges. Every one of us faces levels of
- 3:32challenges. And because of that, we're at
- 3:34risk of having a weakened connection.
- 3:37Daishan, because of these challenges.
- 3:40How do you get past omna Kadesh and order not to allow our
- 3:49challenges, our pressures? Any one of us faces stress
- 3:53during a time you face stress. You can't think, right?
- 3:55You can't function. How you going to have a love
- 3:57about shem? What are you worried about the
- 3:59next bill? How you going to have a love
- 4:01about shem? Or you're worried about getting
- 4:02along with so and so? How's it possible?
- 4:04So he says, yesh la Adam la sheba.
- 4:07That's more. There are two angles #1A simple
- 4:12angle #2A deeper angle. Hot man, this is like I said,
- 4:18simple but hard to really honestly accept.
- 4:23You had to accept it Your entire life you're working on this.
- 4:26You've been spending your whole life working on this already and
- 4:29he's telling you it's going to change your relationship with
- 4:31God. It's going to change how you
- 4:33think about shame if you accept this light.
- 4:36How hot man Shavella honefish is a line that is equal for
- 4:39everybody and the second one is only for those who are deep.
- 4:42What is the one that's equal for all?
- 4:44How hot he is, the one that every kid is told call my dad
- 4:48Dean mean shamaya lata or karma al Dina Rahman al attabadi.
- 4:54Whatever Hashem does, it's for the good, acceptable.
- 4:59Don't give me, don't think about the extreme sad tragedy.
- 5:03Think about the classic situation in our lives.
- 5:05Is it something we can accept, Command Abid Rahman al attabi?
- 5:10Everything Hashem does, it's for the good.
- 5:14Right in the bed, huh? Even even within his things that
- 5:17seem much better. Look at it that way too.
- 5:19Was it Kiafilo, Alzaro? Even that struggle Vadak under
- 5:23pressure, which seems to our eyes is bad and it'll be met.
- 5:31It's rather only good. Now can we accept that concept
- 5:35in our own lives? David, you have.
- 5:38A choice you. Have a choice, you have to
- 5:40accept any what you think. I think that's the that's that's
- 5:47the goal of the game. You, you accept the world of
- 5:51Hashem, right? And now you don't kind of that
- 5:54resistance. I know because when you don't
- 5:58right, you better you you become just not not the person that
- 6:03they're on clouds trying to build their.
- 6:04Correct. The goal of this is a
- 6:07development of a person's connection and the reason our
- 6:10connection can be constantly stopped and halted is because we
- 6:13have so many things that throw off have feeling.
- 6:16I love about Sham, but I think he loves me.
- 6:19And then this goes wrong, right? How does that work?
- 6:22Or that goes wrong. Yeah, but you have your hair
- 6:24styled. Maybe you did something wrong.
- 6:26OK, now so then, you know, very important to not play that into.
- 6:32I had a conversation with someone a couple days ago who
- 6:35really The conversation from last week who had something go
- 6:38very wrong. The business and the guy came to
- 6:42me and said I'm doing Heisbourne and I believe it's because I
- 6:46said absolutely not stop right there, please stop right there.
- 6:50And it's not how we do things. It doesn't just because we make
- 6:53it Heisbourne and we do calculate what we've done.
- 6:56Do not play God, don't make a connection and say this happened
- 6:59because of that. If you want to capitalize on the
- 7:02moment after the challenge happens, say I'm going to better
- 7:05myself, call a Cavour. Just for the sake of making
- 7:08myself better make. Myself better and I'll use this
- 7:10as my fuel even that's fine. And in fact what you'll do is
- 7:14you'll make something good out of something bad when you do
- 7:16that. That's oh great, that's a person
- 7:19who's responding, but he's on the positive track, he's
- 7:22continuous positive nature and he's using the bed to lift him
- 7:25up. That's great.
- 7:27But the guy who looks at the bed and says oh it must be a shame
- 7:29did this to me and that to me and I'm doing this wrong.
- 7:32It's the wrong response. He has to fix things up.
- 7:35Maybe in his own life, great, but he cannot use Hashem's
- 7:38actions as Hashem talking to him in that way.
- 7:41It's a very dangerous thing when people say Hashem is talking to
- 7:44me and they go negative. If they go and lift themselves
- 7:47off to more positive, great, but if they go dark, they go
- 7:51negative because Hashem is talking to them.
- 7:53You're misunderstanding God's word and you mistranslate it.
- 7:56That's a key point dude. Keep on.
- 7:57That'd be my response. So you want to keep the
- 8:00relationship steady and strong and healthy with God.
- 8:04How do you keep his steady, strong and healthy?
- 8:07By considering everything. Always a one way good ticket
- 8:11called ascending and sending and sending.
- 8:13Yeah, but He's sending me inability to make that deal.
- 8:17Or he's sending me a challenge with that son or a challenge
- 8:20with that daughter or an issue in my home or a flight.
- 8:23Everything has to go or health right or someone in the family
- 8:27is not healthy or like I said, a flood, something going wrong.
- 8:30He sent me. Over the course of last year,
- 8:32I've told you as many times about 10 to 20 major leak
- 8:38problems in my house, something unbelievable.
- 8:40And then I came back after the summer and if I thought it was
- 8:43all over and we found I came back August 20th.
- 8:46The worst day to come back is somewhere late in August.
- 8:48Do you want to come back in the middle of the summer?
- 8:50Come back early. Don't come late August because
- 8:52it's already too late to witness anything and it's just
- 8:55frustrating. And I came back and my wife says
- 8:58it smells of hair, it smells smells like water.
- 9:01Walk in the house, go upstairs and they're on the top landing
- 9:05is literally the rug is soaked. Is mold growing because the AEC
- 9:12official allegedly the AEC leaked and broke the ceiling
- 9:15down and made a flood and the copper at the rooftop upstairs.
- 9:19And that was after a year long issue with all sorts of water
- 9:23things. The amount of things I would
- 9:24water and I my ankle so far has been and my and turn out of mine
- 9:29can't go with that angle. OK that's the only thing I got
- 9:32was positive I shouldn't want more or something.
- 9:34I can't figure it out what I had.
- 9:37I burst in the ceiling. I burnt water boiler another
- 9:42issue with the water boiler 3 radiators that cracked.
- 9:45I had endless things. The AC problem, another AC
- 9:48problem, 2 frozen pipes. Forget about it.
- 9:51It's like a used car. So it feels like it feels like
- 9:55this an old house. Never know what they did.
- 9:56All this stuff, David and how many years ago.
- 9:59This is already done five years ago.
- 10:01All this obviously does less than five years ago.
- 10:03That's why it's. Yeah, it's clear indication that
- 10:05we got to go chase those people down.
- 10:07But my point is I'm not going to take it as a message from
- 10:10Hashem. Yeah, I got to do something
- 10:12better on my house or whatever, you know, check things already
- 10:15did that. I was already done.
- 10:17But all that clear. I got you.
- 10:20But overall, you got to say God Zulu Tova and accept and move
- 10:25on. Every time this happens, I say
- 10:27Hashem, thank you. I'm going out to the next day,
- 10:30Hashem, thank you, I'm good. All this has to be our minds.
- 10:33Accept and move on. And then somehow your
- 10:37relationship, not only does it get worse, your relationship
- 10:41gets better from the good times and gets better from those
- 10:43moments. Because if you have the strength
- 10:45during those moments to still see Hashem, that it is certain
- 10:50consistency that develops a certain closeness that is
- 10:55inseparable. The greatest thing you want with
- 10:58your connection that Hashem is consistency.
- 11:01The greatest thing you want your marriage is consistency, right?
- 11:04People out marriages, a lot of people have it, those young
- 11:06marriages when they go up and down and up and down, up and
- 11:09down. And then they get to a point
- 11:11where, sure, there's disagreements and sure, the
- 11:13moments that are off, but there's certain equilibrium, a
- 11:16certain balance that's there. If you attain that, or we'll
- 11:19hope to attain that when you get there, then it's a stronger
- 11:22build. You don't notice it, but slowly
- 11:24every day is feeding off the day before and it becomes stronger.
- 11:28Even if there are moments that there are disagreements and
- 11:30strong ones, it still has a degree of balance.
- 11:34And the same thing you and I shall, when you are able to get
- 11:37to a point that the bad days are not really the disruptive days
- 11:42and the love and the connection gets stronger and stronger.
- 11:45And the way to do that is Coleman David Rahman.
- 11:48Whatever Hashem does, it's really good.
- 11:51You can build upon that. You can see that in your own
- 11:53life. You can use your own experiences
- 11:57to develop that mindset. By the way, what percentage of
- 12:00bad things that have happened to you have turned out to be good?
- 12:03How many jobs that we've not taken?
- 12:06How many girls do we not marry? How many schools do we not send
- 12:10our children to? How many friends that I chosen
- 12:13not be friend, How many people that I chosen not marry, right?
- 12:16All those knots, how many houses and deal that we didn't rent or
- 12:20homes in Brooklyn that we didn't buy.
- 12:22And there's so many different angles that you can say, you
- 12:25know what, they seemed bad. I was upset, I was disappointed.
- 12:29I was very frustrated at the moment.
- 12:30I couldn't understand why not. And you know what, it worked
- 12:33out. I'm a relatively young guy.
- 12:36I have a bunch of jobs I didn't take, bunch of things I have,
- 12:38places I didn't learn, people I didn't marry, all those things
- 12:42on the table. And they're all blessing, right?
- 12:45And you can say the same because you could all say the same.
- 12:47Everybody would have that blessing of what didn't happen.
- 12:51Vacations you didn't go on, trips you didn't take, all these
- 12:54things that sometimes at the time they were very frustrating.
- 12:57And maybe even now you still don't know why they didn't
- 12:59happen. But ultimately you have built a
- 13:02perspective of Lutav Avid. Everything's really good.
- 13:05And what it did is it strengthened and developed and
- 13:09made your relationship with God stronger and stronger and
- 13:12stronger. You say, why is it stronger?
- 13:13You're just OK? No, because you don't have
- 13:16disruptive God. Exactly.
- 13:19Thinking Hashem for the things he doesn't give us, right?
- 13:22I voted the persona exactly the voids.
- 13:26You think of all these things, you know, so you have to put it
- 13:31aside and just. Yeah, and you'll find.
- 13:33Exactly. And you'll find that these
- 13:35things are actually for your benefit.
- 13:37So many of the things you didn't do, places you didn't move to,
- 13:40jobs you didn't take. I mean, everyone of you have
- 13:42jobs you could have taken, have gotten involved in, and you
- 13:44might have at the time sent. It's been a lot of work I should
- 13:47have been involved in. And, you know, I think I was
- 13:49making millions. He's still happy and on that
- 13:51position of fire. So I had a personal scenario
- 13:55happen for me kind of busy 15 years ago.
- 13:58We, we were buying his property and we got a little bit, I guess
- 14:04it was Gabao Cabot because when the guy tried that bid us, I
- 14:10said no, no, no, I'm going to get it.
- 14:11And then we kept on going out the very dangerous price for
- 14:15this property. And then what happened 2008, the
- 14:20day, the day after the, the guy took my deposit already the
- 14:23house is worth half and nothing to do about it.
- 14:25It's like I'm not going to lose the Lotto And I, I saw for the
- 14:30first time, like when Hashem gives you that, that guidance,
- 14:34you have to, you have to like take a step back and and he's
- 14:38saving you for something, right? I mean, ironically, 15 years
- 14:41later, there was a, another recalculation of a Kadosh
- 14:45parochial. You know, he the the pipes
- 14:48busted or got a brand new house for the same money we paid, but
- 14:52it's another 18 years of of looking at that every time I
- 14:56drove by especially I need to listen to the God.
- 14:59Yeah, yeah, yeah. So that's the level of strength
- 15:02and that's an approach beforehand.
- 15:05And the key, by the way, is to have this approach prior.
- 15:08So when you hit those moments as we all do, you look at them, you
- 15:11say it's going to be good, it's good.
- 15:13And then you have to hold down because you keep seeing it seems
- 15:15like bed and he keeps seeing frustration.
- 15:17You keep thinking over over again and somebody tell yourself
- 15:20it's going to be good. Tell me.
- 15:21Wife yells at me. I'm always calm, right?
- 15:23You'd be so calm. Exactly.
- 15:24Am I alright? I like tells me it doesn't
- 15:26anything bother you. He said.
- 15:29Should go to. Doesn't anything bother you
- 15:30like? Right, right.
- 15:31We ultimately these things become steadiness.
- 15:35And I'm telling you, the health, yeah, the health that a person
- 15:38gets when they have this consistency built upon this line
- 15:43and that mindset, you do it in events, evades those moments.
- 15:46And then you become liftoffs and somehow you develop and develop
- 15:50and develop. Before you know it, you watch
- 15:52people out there in the in the community, in the world, they're
- 15:54going there. They go so stream, they get so
- 15:56upset, they get so frustrated and so nervous and all these
- 15:59terms. And you say to yourself, I'm
- 16:01fine, I'm good. I know there's a lot out there.
- 16:05I know there's a lot of fear and a lot of things to make me
- 16:07scared and all that stuff, but I'm settled and I'm good.
- 16:10And it seems to always work out. And people tell you, yeah, but
- 16:13what about that story? What about the other story?
- 16:16Other stories? You're right.
- 16:17There's a few involved between stories.
- 16:19Can't answer. You said it yesterday, but I
- 16:21will say this. Those stories are for those
- 16:25people. They're expected to answer.
- 16:27They can't answer, but they're affected to live with it and
- 16:30figure out a way. We're not expected to look at
- 16:32someone else's story and figure out one of the biggest
- 16:35misconceptions of my humble opinion about the M1R stories.
- 16:38Is Oz a take away from some House of life?
- 16:41I don't need their life. My whole life is impressive
- 16:43enough or incredible enough. I've I figured out my
- 16:46connection. You figure out your connection
- 16:48somehow in your mix, your level of income is working out for you
- 16:53with your children and your mix, your home, your property, your
- 16:57neighbors is somehow developing you and your family and your
- 17:00mix. It all comes together.
- 17:02And the other guy looking and said, I don't like that.
- 17:04I don't see that doesn't make sense over there.
- 17:05That's because you're looking for a side view.
- 17:07You live it, you figure it out. Does it include challenges?
- 17:10It does, but it blends into your connection to God.
- 17:13It's all part of relationship. Every part of our souls is part
- 17:17of our connection to God. Our temperament, our amount of
- 17:20money, our family, our marriage, our home that we live in, the in
- 17:25laws that we have, the in laws that we don't have, the
- 17:28struggles that we have with our in laws, the struggles that we
- 17:30have and work, the city that we live in, the mayor that we have.
- 17:34Everything fits into your temperament and it's supposed to
- 17:37create your blend, your ingredient to come out of a new,
- 17:40beautiful, perfect fruit. That's the idea.
- 17:44You do it there. Also, they make it when you
- 17:47after you read like the 4th and Mona book currently it denounced
- 17:50like a Disney ammonia. We've always happily ever after.
- 17:53And what happens is and I go to some pistol, they use that as
- 17:57their inspiration. They're kind of left at the clip
- 18:00because when it's not, you know, warm and fuzzy, I shouldn't.
- 18:05It's like I was punishing, right?
- 18:06Yeah. So then they say when the author
- 18:08of the Amuna book came here and he ended, I was very actually
- 18:13happy and surprised he ended his speech with basically a a non
- 18:19closing. In other words, I don't know
- 18:20what's going to be when he told someone.
- 18:23But you're right. The reason they write those
- 18:24books that way is because that's what sells.
- 18:26That's what people are going to read.
- 18:27Don't think of a book and saying so and so had a deal and he lost
- 18:30it. What happened afterwards, but
- 18:34but that's reality of life and that is meant to be part of the
- 18:37emunah and that is part of the picture.
- 18:40The heart of emunah of the core of faith is its connection to
- 18:43God, and that is the overall approach.
- 18:45You're right, Hap of Disney does not Disney is a fake existence.
- 18:50Everything in Disney is fake and then we're not version of Disney
- 18:52is fake. It's rather a certain strong,
- 18:56healthy connection you build upon.
- 18:59That connection includes, however, a lot, a lot of good.
- 19:03The amount of if you had a scale, the amount of our way in
- 19:07a good to come to bed over bed. It's unbelievable.
- 19:11We never think about the fact that children that we have or
- 19:13the the home that we have, the families, all these things that
- 19:17we grow up in, we say, oh, we have this bigger family.
- 19:20It's like part of our culture. It's our culture.
- 19:23It's a gift, right? The cousins, the family, the
- 19:26rabbis, the shul, the schools, the children, all the
- 19:31businesses, all these things are all unbelievably imbalanced.
- 19:36Gift they are. And because of that, the scale
- 19:40should be a lot of connection, a lot of frustration.
- 19:44But I'm going to see you pass the frustration to keep that
- 19:46connection because I know it's all good.
- 19:48That should be the scale. So when a guy has a real
- 19:51example, a guy has enough money to live, a home to live in,
- 19:56right? Roof over his head, a place to
- 19:58go in the summer, he has two cars, he's able to pay tuition,
- 20:02he has family, a nice family. He has health.
- 20:05Keep David. You're right.
- 20:06I'm sorry, you're right. He has health and he's able to
- 20:09go on vacation, yes or no. And he has this one kid that
- 20:12drives him by Nur, which a lot of people have, right?
- 20:14One kid, a million guts on his nerves.
- 20:17That's a one. Let's make it easier if he wants
- 20:18everyone. It drives him crazy.
- 20:20He's on his nerves constantly, right?
- 20:22That person. Has a hard time, I know this
- 20:25that first has a hard time looking at the wife and saying
- 20:28life and saying it's a life wife all life by the way, and saying
- 20:31it's a blessing and that person is actually his nature is very
- 20:37imbalance because you should be looking at saying this is a
- 20:39crazy man of Baraka and this is Hashem saying Moshe create the
- 20:44connection. That's what God says God Moshe
- 20:46make the connection or Joe makes Nash.
- 20:48That's all it is, is Hashem giving him unbelievable Hava and
- 20:52say I'm asking of you to just see good everything to finish
- 20:57out the picture. Just complete the picture.
- 21:00Another painting is 95% full. I'd like you to make it 100%
- 21:03full and that's your job. Your job is to complete the job,
- 21:06complete the picture. When you do, you're unbelievable
- 21:10and your connection to God is something out of this world.
- 21:12You look at people who are always happy and you say how do
- 21:15they do that? Answer is they have this
- 21:17perspective. You see, all this is you're a
- 21:20little black over there and they say one second I'm going to
- 21:23complain. Whole thing's a miracle.
- 21:26I was dealing with someone recently whose life turned
- 21:29upside down multiple times, upside down with his jobs.
- 21:33But at the same time, he's way beyond expectation, blessed.
- 21:39And he gave me this perspective. He said I'm going to complain.
- 21:42My whole life is a miracle. Everything, every place that I'm
- 21:44in is a miracle. The fact that I have to deal
- 21:46with this one thing all over again, I'm going to see it the
- 21:48right way because everything's a miracle.
- 21:50And that has to be our perspective, has to be our
- 21:52perspective that we're built on miracles. 95% noticeable to 5%
- 21:58gap is the area that you need to make a connection.
- 22:02As we said before, if a person would have the answer to that
- 22:055%, it would be game over. To be nothing to that person,
- 22:09you need to develop the connection.
- 22:11And that requires your angle to his idea.
- 22:13All right.
