Europe's Robotaxis Drive on American and Chinese Software
In Zagreb, according to AFP, more than six people are on the waitlist for every rider already using the robotaxi service run by Uber, Verne and Pony.ai, while the public service still has a safety operator at the wheel. Fully driverless driving in Europe today amounts to one invite-only route to the airport. The advantage may shift to whoever owns the fleet and holds the permits.
