• 0:33
Speaker 2: of the show. I am Jeff Peckner, typically joined by
• 0:36
Speaker 2: my coast the only doctor Gray Franklin. I am writing
• 0:40
Speaker 2: Shotgun once again, my friends, Welcome, one and all to
• 0:43
Speaker 2: this week's edition of SR T You. Unfortunately, Doctor Trey
• 0:46
Speaker 2: unable to make it to this week's edition the show,
• 0:50
Speaker 2: as well as the Patreon exclusive show that we will
• 0:52
Speaker 2: be doing that'll drop on Friday. Unfortunately, he had a
• 0:56
Speaker 2: death in the family. His wife's grandfather passed away. We wish,
• 1:01
Speaker 2: obviously he and his family all the best during these
• 1:05
Speaker 2: tough times and let them know obviously that our thoughts
• 1:09
Speaker 2: and prayers are with them. He did send over his
• 1:12
Speaker 2: Clash in Paris predictions for the show, which is in
• 1:16
Speaker 2: typical Doctor Trey fashion. But he is with the family
• 1:19
Speaker 2: this week, and rightfully so that's where we want him
• 1:22
Speaker 2: to be, is spending time with the family during these times.
• 1:26
Speaker 2: Lots to discuss here on this week's dish of the
• 1:28
Speaker 2: show will highlight everything from aw Forbidden, Dora NX, heat Wave,
• 1:32
Speaker 2: the latest on Chris Jericho, some tough times for will Os,
• 1:36
Speaker 2: Brace for Strickland, a match that make go Down is
• 1:41
Speaker 2: like the greatest match in the history of this show,
• 1:44
Speaker 2: and then we'll preview and predict w WE Clash in
• 1:47
Speaker 2: Paris all on this week's edition of sr TU. I
• 1:50
Speaker 2: would be remissed if I didn't mention patreon dot com
• 1:53

Speaker 2: We will be doing a viewers choice podcast all for
• 2:10
Speaker 2: the very first time, exclusive on Patreon, and that will
• 2:13
Speaker 2: be fantasy booking a nine match WWWE versus AW card
• 2:19
Speaker 2: without going completely Champion versus Champion route if you were okay,
• 2:23
Speaker 2: if we'd like to and that came to us from
• 2:26
Speaker 2: subscriber over at Patreon, good friend EJ. Reid. We'll be
• 2:29
Speaker 2: doing that up over at patreon dot com Slash SRTU
• 2:32
Speaker 2: podcast that will be dropping on Friday over at the
• 2:36
Speaker 2: Patreon page so go subscribe support SRTU. With that said,
• 2:41
Speaker 2: let's get into Forbidden Door. Some of the highlights from
• 2:44
Speaker 2: the show. It was a record breaking crowd at the
• 2:46
Speaker 2: O two Arena with nearly nineteen thousand fans. The lights
• 2:49
Speaker 2: out Steak Steel Cage main event saw Darby, Allen, Osprey,
• 2:53
Speaker 2: Tana Hashing, the Golden Levers, beating Moxley's Death Riders and
• 2:56
Speaker 2: the Young Bucks. The postmatch Attack wrote all off will
• 3:00
Speaker 2: ospray for surgery. We will cover that in a little bit.
• 3:04
Speaker 2: Hangman out of page retains against the retained the AW
• 3:06
Speaker 2: World title against MJF in a gritty fashion because it's go.
• 3:10
Speaker 2: Katta retains the United Unitified Unified title over ser Strickland.
• 3:15
Speaker 2: Tony Storm retains the women's settle over Athena Brodido shocked
• 3:20
Speaker 2: the world and win the AW Attack Team Championship. We
• 3:22
Speaker 2: had big surprises Wardlow returning align with the Don Calls family,
• 3:25
Speaker 2: Jamie Hayder returning to a huge pop, and then some
• 3:28
Speaker 2: takeaways down Coll's family continues to dominate the Death Riders.
• 3:33
Speaker 2: They are creating chaos. Hangman's raid remains strong and now
• 3:36
Speaker 2: Osprey's absence looms large. We will delve very deep into
• 3:41
Speaker 2: that will Osprey injury and surgery in just a little bit.
• 3:45
Speaker 2: But another very solid performance from all the wrestling forbidden
• 3:49
Speaker 2: to her this past Sunday. I have been very, very
• 3:52
Speaker 2: happy with the AW product as of late. Loved the
• 3:57
Speaker 2: Dynamite at twenty three hundred Arena AKAW Arena this past Wednesday.
• 4:04
Speaker 2: That is the closest setup I've seen to an actual
• 4:07
Speaker 2: like ECW arena type setup, and I'm almost positive Tony
• 4:12
Speaker 2: Kahn did that purposely because he is an ECW fan.
• 4:16
Speaker 2: He mentions, you know, he went to an ECW show
• 4:18
Speaker 2: way back in the day, and I grew up on ECW.
• 4:22
Speaker 2: It was really cool to see really great arena, a
• 4:27
Speaker 2: totally different viewer experience than the one that we saw
• 4:31
Speaker 2: almost a year ago when NXT was there. That NXT
• 4:34
Speaker 2: show and the twenty three hundred arena did not have
• 4:36
Speaker 2: the same energy and juice and look and feel as
• 4:38
Speaker 2: the AW show did. I like that AW is just
• 4:42
Speaker 2: putting their head down and just working and doing good shows.
• 4:47
  Speaker 2: That's the type of AW I like. I don't like
• 4:49
Speaker 2: the AW that gets into the weeds and they got
• 4:51
Speaker 2: to like battle stuff on the internet or wage war
• 4:55
Speaker 2: with we That type of stuff is not for me.
• 4:58
Speaker 2: We've talked about it on the PODCAS. I like that
• 5:01
Speaker 2: they're just kind of hull hum aligning themselves while Wwey's
• 5:04
Speaker 2: being dicks and like putting their shows on at the
• 5:06
Speaker 2: same time as them. With NXC heat Wave that was
• 5:09
Speaker 2: took place over the weekend, They're doing with the rest
• 5:11
Speaker 2: of Palooza next month, and that's what I'd like to see.
• 5:14
Speaker 2: I would just prefer that each one of these wrestling
• 5:17
Speaker 2: promotions just kind of stay in their own lane. And
• 5:20
Speaker 2: you know, as I was watching the show on Sunday
• 5:23
Speaker 2: and then carried over on Wednesday, Mike Man AW has
• 5:26
Speaker 2: had some really good stretches here. I think the only
• 5:29
Speaker 2: period of time that I was like, I'm concerned AW
• 5:32
Speaker 2: is getting back into their rough patch was when they
• 5:37
Speaker 2: did those shows after all in where it looked for
• 5:41
Speaker 2: anybody who is a Disney World fan hopefully you get
• 5:43
Speaker 2: this reference. If not, look up the Mexico Pavilion in Epcot,
• 5:49
Speaker 2: and it looked like they were performing in like the
• 5:53
Speaker 2: Mexico Pavilion in Epcot or the Germany Pavilion in Epcott.
• 5:56
Speaker 2: It looked like they were It was the shows in
• 5:59
Speaker 2: Choko where it looked like they were performing at like
• 6:04
Speaker 2: I don't know, like with those like dinners, everybody goes
• 6:08
Speaker 2: around and the nights perform and they are on horses
• 6:11
Speaker 2: and one side wins and all that crap. I can't
• 6:13
Speaker 2: really think of it at the moment, like that's what
• 6:15
Speaker 2: it looked medieval times. That's what it is. It looks
• 6:18
Speaker 2: like a medieval times venue. They were performing them like
• 6:21
Speaker 2: this is not a good look, and they had a
• 6:23
Speaker 2: couple of stretches where collisions were not good. But they've
• 6:26
Speaker 2: been on a really good swing and I'm excited to
• 6:28
Speaker 2: see where collision lands at the twenty one three hundred arena.
• 6:33
Speaker 2: I dig that they're doing these residencies. I like that
• 6:36
Speaker 2: they got back to smaller crowds, smaller venues because when
• 6:39
Speaker 2: they were doing the larger crowds, when there wasn't a
• 6:41
Speaker 2: lot of fans in attendance, it was very visibly noticeable
• 6:44
Speaker 2: and the crowd reactions were awful. This is a little
• 6:47
Speaker 2: bit better cup of tea for me as a fan.
• 6:50
Speaker 2: I don't think aw ever reaches the heights of we
• 6:52
Speaker 2: and that is totally fine. I think they're probably like
• 6:55
Speaker 2: a step or two above like a TNA where they
• 6:58
Speaker 2: have the financial backing and they have like really solid
• 7:01
Speaker 2: star power to carry them and good relationships like New Japan.
• 7:05
Speaker 2: It's basically doing like the two thousands TNA better than
• 7:09
Speaker 2: TNA did, and that's okay. There is a certainly a
• 7:13
Speaker 2: spot for that as well. So very solid weekend with
• 7:17
Speaker 2: Forbidden Door, Love the shows at the twenty three hundred
• 7:19
Speaker 2: Arena and I'm looking forward to more and just continues
• 7:22
Speaker 2: a really really good swing for aw as of late.
• 7:27
Speaker 2: As for NXC heat Wave, which also came from a
• 7:29
Speaker 2: Neworker Wrestling Navino Arena in Lowell, Massachusetts, you had Obafemi
• 7:33
Speaker 2: defeating Javon Evans to retain the NXT Championship. Then he
• 7:37
Speaker 2: was confronted by Ricky Saints post match, and how Ricky
• 7:39
Speaker 2: Saints is their rolling contender. Lolavice wins Summer Rock Contenders
• 7:42
Speaker 2: match for the NXT Women's title. Dark Safety Throne hankin
• 7:45
Speaker 2: Tech to become the new NXC Tech Team champions. Ashby
• 7:49
Speaker 2: Elegance wins the TNA Knockout title in a walld trip
• 7:51
Speaker 2: with Threat, also with a controversial finish. Blake Monroe beats
• 7:55
Speaker 2: Jordan Grace in a brutal undercard war, Chelsea Greeneathan Page
• 7:59
Speaker 2: pick up a mixed tag win with outside help, and
• 8:01
Speaker 2: there's some rumblings that this act may carry over to
• 8:04
Speaker 2: the Man Roster, which I'm excited for Ethan Page, very
• 8:06
Speaker 2: talented guy. And then it just some cross brand buzz. Obviously,
• 8:10
Speaker 2: the TENNA Knockouts Championship was featured in an NXT show,
• 8:13
Speaker 2: showing the WATNA partnership in action and rightfully putting the
• 8:17
Speaker 2: title back on a t and a talent, which is
• 8:20
Speaker 2: where it should be. I don't know, disrespect to Trick
• 8:22
  Speaker 2: Williams and j C Jane, I don't know if they've
• 8:25
Speaker 2: elevated the title and or elevated the title and pass
• 8:28
Speaker 2: sense for JC Jane. I think putting the champions on
• 8:31
Speaker 2: the brand, on the NXT brand and giving them the
• 8:34
Speaker 2: spotlights has certainly helped elevate people's awareness for TNA. So
• 8:39
Speaker 2: I thought XAL heat Wave was a very like solid
• 8:41
Speaker 2: NXC show. It was just a little over the two
• 8:43
Speaker 2: hour mark. I didn't think it was anything special. I
• 8:46
Speaker 2: didn't think it was anything bad. I just thought it
• 8:48
Speaker 2: was a very very solid show and not as comparably
• 8:54
Speaker 2: entertaining and as fun as Forbidden Door was which had
• 8:58
Speaker 2: a little bit more pay per view feel given them
• 9:00
Speaker 2: the arena they were in and the attendance that they had,
• 9:03
Speaker 2: while NXC Heat Wave again was just like this special
• 9:06
Speaker 2: Satura or Sunday night edition of NXC Television in Lowell, Massachusetts.
• 9:12
Speaker 2: So solid weekend of wrestling. Highly recommend anybody who has
• 9:16
Speaker 2: Knock Gone Out and watch either show to check it out.
• 9:19
Speaker 2: There's obviously tons of good, not a lot of bad,
• 9:22
Speaker 2: and it was just a fun weekend for wrestling fans. Again,
• 9:27
Speaker 2: I'd prefer that nxt W does not run the same
• 9:30
Speaker 2: weekends as AW. I think there is plenty to go
• 9:33
Speaker 2: around and there is no need to put counter programming on.
• 9:38
Speaker 2: I can enjoy all of them, folks, so let's set
• 9:42
Speaker 2: the tribalism bullshit. We have an update to the story
• 9:46
Speaker 2: where sources expect Chris Jerico have signed a w deal
• 9:49
Speaker 2: when his AW contract finishes. After we'd recorded the podcast
• 9:52
Speaker 2: last week, Wressell Votes reported that there is a significant
• 9:55
Speaker 2: amount of interest in Chris Jerico returning w when his
• 9:57
Speaker 2: AW contract comes up, with several in W, including active wrestlers,
• 10:02
Speaker 2: wanting him to return. A source expects AWE deal to
• 10:05
Speaker 2: be completed for him when his AW contract finishes. When
• 10:08
Speaker 2: wressell votes speaks, everybody listens, and that is basically gospel.
• 10:13
Speaker 2: So I fully expect that Chris Jericho will be returning
• 10:17
Speaker 2: to World Wrestling Entertainment in twenty twenty six, which is
• 10:20
Speaker 2: mind blowing. And I know Tony Kahn had some comments
• 10:22
Speaker 2: on the conference call for Roh Death before dishonor where
• 10:27
Speaker 2: he said something, if he has the opportunity to work
• 10:29
Speaker 2: with like Chris Jericho again, he would love to, so
• 10:34
Speaker 2: kind of foreshadowing maybe or not really answering the question,
• 10:38
Speaker 2: but nonetheless rust of Bote saying he is WWE bound,
• 10:42
Speaker 2: which is basically slam dunk. Folks rest and observers reporting
• 10:45
Speaker 2: that the only thing heard from w W regarding Chris
• 10:47
Speaker 2: Jericho is that they expect him to come back to
• 10:49
Speaker 2: the company. They also report that there are those in
• 10:52
Speaker 2: AW who believe that Chris Jericho is not going to
• 10:54
Speaker 2: be back and will start in w as a royal
• 10:56
Speaker 2: rumble surprise. So you have like the BESTE source in
• 11:01
Speaker 2: wrestle boats saying that Chris Jericho is w bound, and
• 11:04
Speaker 2: you have the best AW source in Wrestling Reserver newsletter
• 11:08
Speaker 2: Dave Meltzer saying that AW expects him to go to WE.
• 11:11
Speaker 2: So here we are August twenty eighth. I would expect
• 11:15
Speaker 2: come late January early February twenty twenty six. Chris Jericho
• 11:18
Speaker 2: is back in w W, which is mind blowing. I
• 11:22
Speaker 2: think we really dug into it last week about how
• 11:25
Speaker 2: I never thought I would see this happen at best
• 11:27
Speaker 2: maybe w Hall of Famer induction. I did not think
• 11:30
Speaker 2: Chris Jericho would wrestle a match again, And here here
• 11:34
Speaker 2: we are, and it's just now, how do they book
• 11:37
Speaker 2: him basically with the talent roster they have? I mean,
• 11:43
Speaker 2: who do you look at as someone that would fit
• 11:45
Speaker 2: the mold as having that Christ Jericho match, because he's
• 11:48
Speaker 2: going to have a match at WrestleMania that's here in
• 11:51
Speaker 2: Las Vegas. Here he'd returned to the company. Is it
• 11:54
Speaker 2: seth Rollins? Probably not Gunther? That would be pretty interesting.
• 12:00
Speaker 2: I may be here for all that with a Gunther match.
• 12:04
Speaker 2: Would a Roman reigned Jericho match do it? For me?
• 12:07
  Speaker 1: No?
• 12:07
Speaker 2: Punk Jericho? No, unless they kind of can talk about
• 12:10
Speaker 2: the AW stuff, which why would they talk about AW
• 12:13
Speaker 2: stuff in a WE angle? Would they do Jericho Cody?
• 12:18
Speaker 2: Maybe it's kind of a bummer because I think Jericho
• 12:22
Speaker 2: is coming back to WE like a year or two late,
• 12:24
Speaker 2: because I would have loved to see in Jericho Seena
• 12:27
Speaker 2: match one last time. They had a really really good
• 12:29
Speaker 2: feud in the late two thousands that helped put scene
• 12:32
Speaker 2: on the map like an six seven ish timeframe when
• 12:35
Speaker 2: Jericho started doing that really great heel run where he
• 12:38
Speaker 2: didn't like pulled all of his merchandise, barely spoke all
• 12:41
Speaker 2: that much and it was very monotone, had a great
• 12:44
Speaker 2: feud with the seaw Michaels, a match with Shaw Michaels
• 12:47
Speaker 2: and Allata match at No Mercy. So yeah, it's just like, okay, cool,
• 12:52
Speaker 2: Jericho's back. But what does he got to do? Does
• 12:56
Speaker 2: he want to help out in NXC, does he want
• 12:58
Speaker 2: to commentate? Is he doing this for his Hollywood ambitions?
• 13:03
Speaker 2: I would love to know And I can't wait to
• 13:06
Speaker 2: read the book someday as to why Chris Jericho decided
• 13:08
Speaker 2: now is the time to leave AW and go back
• 13:12
Speaker 2: to WWE, because he was like adamant that he would
• 13:14
Speaker 2: not return to w and AW was the place to
• 13:16
Speaker 2: bay for him. So some very very very credible sources
• 13:21
Speaker 2: adding some more fuel to the fire. That is Chris
• 13:23
Speaker 2: Jericho expected to sign AW once his AW contract finishes
• 13:27
Speaker 2: this year, which is obviously earth shadowing news. I don't
• 13:31
Speaker 2: think it hurts AW at all. I think the AW
• 13:33
Speaker 2: product he hasn't been around for four or five months
• 13:36
  Speaker 2: now already. I don't think they're hurting without him. I
• 13:39
Speaker 2: think the direction of AW has certainly changed, and it's
• 13:41
Speaker 2: totally fine with it. I'm fine with it, and Jericho
• 13:44
Speaker 2: ending his career in WE I am fine with as well.
• 13:47
Speaker 2: So I think it's a great move all around for
• 13:48
Speaker 2: all promotions. I think it's a great move for Chris
• 13:50
Speaker 2: Jericho as well. As it would appear, this is going
• 13:53
Speaker 2: to be something really to keep an eye out for
• 13:55
Speaker 2: in twenty twenty six of Chris Jericho returning to World
• 14:00
Speaker 2: Wrestling Entertainment. Now in regard to subtractions from the AW
• 14:05
Speaker 2: roster that I think that are going to hit the
• 14:07
Speaker 2: company very, very hard. That is will Ospray and Swerve
• 14:12
Speaker 2: Strickland's recent injuries. It could not have come at a
• 14:17
Speaker 2: worse time, so will Ospray. They obviously wrote him off
• 14:21
Speaker 2: at the end of for Benden Door. He is due
• 14:22
Speaker 2: for next surgery. He could be out I'm reading for
• 14:26
Speaker 2: potentially over a year, like anywhere between between twelve to
• 14:31
Speaker 2: fifteen months, and Swarve Strickland had They also wrote him
• 14:35
Speaker 2: off at for benin Door with the chair shots from
• 14:37
Speaker 2: Cazichio Coatta to his knee. He has been battling a
• 14:40
Speaker 2: torn meniscus reportedly since twenty nineteen when he was performing
• 14:43
Speaker 2: at the WA Performance Center and has been working ever since,
• 14:46
Speaker 2: and now is time to get that repaired. He had surgery.
• 14:50
Speaker 2: He posted that on his Instagram story on Wednesday. His
• 14:54
Speaker 2: knee wrapped up coming out of meniscus surgery. So I
• 14:59
Speaker 2: don't know how long that may take, maybe three to
• 15:01
Speaker 2: six months, but we're going like the rest of this
• 15:03
Speaker 2: year now without will ospraying sort of Strickland, who are
• 15:10
Speaker 2: definitely my top five favorite people to watch in AW.
• 15:14
Speaker 2: I think I really enjoy watching Osprey, Strickland, Hangman, MJF.
• 15:22
Speaker 2: And I would probably say right now, Mark Burscow, I'm
• 15:25
Speaker 2: all in on the Mark Briscoe stuff. Would love to
• 15:28
Speaker 2: see more of Darby, big fan of Darby, but he's
• 15:31
Speaker 2: just kind of getting his way back into the day
• 15:33
Speaker 2: to day regular operations that is AW. I thought what
• 15:38
Speaker 2: I loved what AW has been doing lately, and this
• 15:40
Speaker 2: is something I've been really was like banging the desk
• 15:42
Speaker 2: on last year when they were when they changed direction
• 15:45
Speaker 2: and got away from really focusing on the people that
• 15:50
Speaker 2: the fans had connections with, and that is Osprey, Swerve
• 15:53
Speaker 2: and Hangman. No wrestlers have better connections than those three,
• 15:58
Speaker 2: I feel like from the AW standpoint, and also they
• 16:01
Speaker 2: were dealing with like MGF was out with injury at
• 16:03
Speaker 2: that point, Adam Colehead his injury issues. It was just very,
• 16:06
Speaker 2: very bad. So now they've been on this upswing, Ospray
• 16:09
Speaker 2: and Swerve had been playing major roles in that upswing,
• 16:12
Speaker 2: and now here we are that at least for one
• 16:15
Speaker 2: of them, it's going to be potentially considerable amount of
• 16:17
Speaker 2: time and no estimated timetable on Swarb Strickland, And it
• 16:20
Speaker 2: could not come at a worse time because they are
• 16:25
Speaker 2: they have so much momentum, really good storylines right now,
• 16:30
Speaker 2: and even the stuff that we're seeing presently, it's like,
• 16:35
Speaker 2: what does AW do in the situation and who steps
• 16:38
Speaker 2: up in their absence? Do we see an Orange Cassidy
• 16:41
Speaker 2: to return who is just as over Babyface? Do they
• 16:45
Speaker 2: give Kyle Fletcher more opportunity to run with the ball.
• 16:48
Speaker 2: We're seeing Kenny omegaback on television. More do we see
• 16:51
Speaker 2: Kenoshki Takeshka leave the don Kallis family. Don Kallis kind
• 16:55
Speaker 2: of sides more with cause it's go kata between the
• 16:58
Speaker 2: two because there's some tension between those guys right now,
• 17:00
Speaker 2: which make a ton of sense. I think Takeshka would
• 17:02
Speaker 2: be a super over babyface. My guess is that aw
• 17:07
Speaker 2: as a plan as they should, right duh. But I
• 17:10
Speaker 2: think that they knew that this was coming and they
• 17:13
Speaker 2: needed to start to ramp up some new babyfaces for
• 17:18
Speaker 2: the promotion to really focus on. Because right now you've
• 17:20
Speaker 2: got Hangman page with don Kallis family in there in
• 17:24
Speaker 2: his cross He is in their crossairs right now, and
• 17:27
Speaker 2: there are so many people to choose from. Would they
• 17:29
Speaker 2: do Okata Hangman at all Out? I don't think so.
• 17:33
Speaker 2: Would they do Katashka Takeshka versus Hangman at all Out?
• 17:37
Speaker 2: That's a possibility. Takeshka goes in then to the g one.
• 17:40
Speaker 2: If you say he wins and he takes on Zach
• 17:42
Speaker 2: Saber Junior Champion versus champion to cash in on his
• 17:46
Speaker 2: g one climax victory in that October event that would
• 17:51
Speaker 2: be something. Then it's like, would they do Kyle Fletcher?
• 17:55
Speaker 2: Probably not, would be my guess. And then outside of that,
• 17:59
Speaker 2: there's a little bit drop off very talented stars. You've
• 18:02
Speaker 2: got Lance Archer, You've got Josh Alexander, Like, do we
• 18:07
Speaker 2: go to the Wardlow route? Because now Wardlow's like acting
• 18:09
Speaker 2: as a bodyguard someone how he did as mjf's bodyguard
• 18:13
Speaker 2: with Don Callis so far, so it's like, okay, who
• 18:18
Speaker 2: really steps up? Do they shift Darby into one of
• 18:21
Speaker 2: those Ospring sort of Strickland spots? I would guess so
• 18:25
Speaker 2: as they should, because he's the guy that you could market.
• 18:28
Speaker 2: And then it's kind of a little bit of an
• 18:31
Speaker 2: interesting situation again, do you bring back Orange Cassidy? Is
• 18:35
Speaker 2: Orange Cassidy is ready to come back from his injury? One?
• 18:38
Speaker 2: Do you turn someone babyface? I would turn Kenoska to
• 18:40
Speaker 2: Keshka babyface right now with a little bit of spots
• 18:43
Speaker 2: open Copeland and Christian they're doing their thing right now.
• 18:46
Speaker 2: Do you you know, maybe bump up Bobby Lashley and
• 18:49
Speaker 2: the hurt Sydy Kit now that they've dropped the tag
• 18:51
Speaker 2: team titles, and you have Bobby in the title picture.
• 18:53
Speaker 2: He's super over with the fans. It's very very interesting,
• 18:58
Speaker 2: and this is gonna be very telling to how well
• 19:02
Speaker 2: AW does towards the end of the year, because I
• 19:04
Speaker 2: always feel like they have this false swoon where it
• 19:08
Speaker 2: has felt like the last two years at least, AW
• 19:11
Speaker 2: has had like a considerable drop off following all in,
• 19:15
Speaker 2: following all out, where the product just is not as
• 19:18
Speaker 2: good as it was like four months prior. They run
• 19:22
Speaker 2: into this path where like from what is it Dynasty
• 19:28
Speaker 2: is really really good to all in or all out,
• 19:32
Speaker 2: and then Wrestle Dream happens in October and that's like
• 19:36
Speaker 2: the beginning of like a swoon for a little bit
• 19:38
Speaker 2: where maybe it's three, four or five months where it's
• 19:41
Speaker 2: not as good. I will say, last year they did
• 19:43
Speaker 2: the residency at the Hammerstein, and I love the shows
• 19:47
Speaker 2: that they did there for Dynamite Collision and even Rampage
• 19:50
Speaker 2: when they shut Rampage down. So it's frustrating as an
• 19:55
Speaker 2: AW fan. I'm frustrated for AW as a company because
• 19:58
Speaker 2: everything has been so good right now and theoretically coming
• 20:01
Speaker 2: out Forbidden Door, coming out of all In, heading it
• 20:04
Speaker 2: all out, Osprey and Swerve should be at the top
• 20:06
Speaker 2: of that card. I mean, that's that's where they should be.
• 20:09
Speaker 2: They should be either Vine for the A to W
• 20:11
Speaker 2: World Championship somehow in a babyface versus baby face feud
• 20:13
Speaker 2: with Hangman out of page, or feud with some major
• 20:16
Speaker 2: heels that aren't in the world title picture with Hangman
• 20:19
Speaker 2: Page at that point, do they you know, it looks
• 20:21
Speaker 2: like MJFT is gonna shift with Mark Briscow. Mark Burscow,
• 20:24
Speaker 2: I think, is someone that they can really have step
• 20:27
Speaker 2: up in the absence of the top baby faces. Do
• 20:30
Speaker 2: you put like Osprey taken on because it's go Okada
• 20:34
Speaker 2: or Swerve you know continue uses for a feud with Okada.
• 20:38
Speaker 2: It's uh, it sucks. It really sucks. As a fantasy,
• 20:41
Speaker 2: this happened because Ospray and Swerve for some of the
• 20:44
Speaker 2: hard and soul guys of all lead wrestling, and hopefully
• 20:48
Speaker 2: see them back sooner rather than later. I would expect
• 20:51
Speaker 2: Swerve back sooner rather than later. I am concerned about
• 20:53
Speaker 2: will Ospray. I mean, I think it's possible that even
• 20:56
Speaker 2: a year from now, will Ospray is either on the shelf,
• 20:59
Speaker 2: or we're starting to still or we're starting to hear
• 21:01
Speaker 2: ramp ups of when he may return. I just have
• 21:06
Speaker 2: a tough time believing that with a neck surgery injury
• 21:10
Speaker 2: that he unless they're working us, he comes back anytime
• 21:13
Speaker 2: before a year. So tough tough times there, and hopefully
• 21:19
Speaker 2: aw can take these bumps in the road and continue
• 21:21
Speaker 2: their great momentum because they have been an absolute joy
• 21:24
Speaker 2: to watch as of late. I saw earlier this week
• 21:28
Speaker 2: that Bailey and Sasha Banks aka Mercedes my Name, we're
• 21:31
Speaker 2: celebrating the ten year anniversary of their match at NXC
• 21:35
Speaker 2: Takeover Brooklyn, which to me is one of the greatest
• 21:40
Speaker 2: matches we've ever covered in the show, maybe the greatest match.
• 21:45
Speaker 2: I think it is that steamboat Savage match that kind
• 21:50
Speaker 2: of open up the doors and eyes to women's wrestling
• 21:53
Speaker 2: on a greater level. I point to a twenty fourteen
• 21:57
Speaker 2: NXT Women's Championship Tournament when I want Charlotte and Natalia
• 22:01
Speaker 2: as a match that was like, oh shit, they could
• 22:03
Speaker 2: do this, And then I felt like in twenty fifteen,
• 22:07
Speaker 2: Bailey and Sasha took a tone on the level and
• 22:11
Speaker 2: it's rare, especially nowadays. I feel like that you feel
• 22:15
Speaker 2: being immersed in the action, like legitimately immersed from your
• 22:19
Speaker 2: living room where you could sit down and you're watching
• 22:21
Speaker 2: the match, and you are living and breathing and dying
• 22:25
Speaker 2: with every move and every moment and every little situation
• 22:28
Speaker 2: that happens, the ebbs and flows of the match, where
• 22:32
Speaker 2: you kind of go into this different world, in this
• 22:34
Speaker 2: different dimension, this different universe as you're just enjoying what
• 22:38
Speaker 2: you are watching on your television, and this match brought
• 22:41
Speaker 2: it for me. There's like a handful of times that's happened.
• 22:44
Speaker 2: I remember Kevin Owens Johnsen a match when Owens came
• 22:47
Speaker 2: up from NXT to take on Johnson as the NXC champion.
• 22:51
Speaker 2: That was one of those matches where I'm like, I
• 22:52
Speaker 2: can't believe this just happened, where Owens won because I
• 22:55
Speaker 2: was such a huge and still am huge Kevin Stein
• 22:57
Speaker 2: Kevin Owens fan. This is that match as well. Great build,
• 23:03
Speaker 2: great storytelling, emotional, and they had the fans on the
• 23:06
Speaker 2: palm of their hands. If for whatever reason, you have
• 23:10
Speaker 2: never seen this match, One you're not a real Rustling fan.
• 23:14
Speaker 2: What's wrong with you? And two, immediately pause this recording
• 23:17
Speaker 2: and go watch this match right now, because it still
• 23:21
Speaker 2: holds up to today. Its influence on women's wrestling in
• 23:25
Speaker 2: w and AW took it to the next level where
• 23:29
Speaker 2: I can safely say in twenty twenty five, I think
• 23:32
Speaker 2: the women's division in both companies is my most favorite
• 23:36
Speaker 2: thing to watch because the roster for both women's side
• 23:40
Speaker 2: is so deep that it's amazing to see the talent
• 23:43
Speaker 2: in both W and AW, and then the quality of
• 23:48
Speaker 2: matches the women are putting on each and every week
• 23:51
Speaker 2: Raw SmackDown, Dynamite Collision is so really good. Like w's
• 23:56
Speaker 2: women's roster and NXC I want to mention as well,
• 24:00
Speaker 2: like it's almost established as a franchise. You're like, this
• 24:05
Speaker 2: is a franchise of excellence WWE's women's division. To me,
• 24:11
Speaker 2: it feels like aw's women's division is like on this
• 24:14
Speaker 2: really good trajectory in upswing where you're starting to see
• 24:17
Speaker 2: some top level talent Athena, Tony Storm, Mercedes Monet, and
• 24:23
Speaker 2: then you have this underbelly of women that you could
• 24:26
Speaker 2: see really carrying the division in a moment's known as
• 24:30
Speaker 2: Chris Statlander, Willow Nightingale, The Triangle of Madness, Julie Hart,
• 24:35
Speaker 2: Tekla Sky Blue, Love Watching Them, Mega Baine, Penelope Ford,
• 24:42
  Speaker 2: Ty Mellow. It's it's a who's who of future stars
• 24:48
Speaker 2: in the women's division that has me really excited for
• 24:50
Speaker 2: the AW women's division and where it's going to go.
• 24:52
Speaker 2: I think they need to continue to creating the stars.
• 24:55
Speaker 2: And it's like watching NXT in twenty fifteen when you
• 24:59
Speaker 2: could see the of the card for NXC and where
• 25:02
Speaker 2: the rest of the card was coming up, and you
• 25:04
Speaker 2: were like, Okay, I could totally see in a year's
• 25:06
Speaker 2: time Chris stat Lander or Willow Nightingale being the women's
• 25:10
Speaker 2: champion AW and I would be totally game end down
• 25:13
Speaker 2: for it. And I think a lot of that came
• 25:16
Speaker 2: to fruition thanks to this match. I think this is
• 25:21
Speaker 2: in the timeline of matches and women's matches and moments
• 25:24
Speaker 2: that really stand the test of time of like, Okay,
• 25:27
Speaker 2: when was this a paradigm shift?
• 25:29
  Speaker 1: What was it?
• 25:30
Speaker 2: Four five oh six? The tris Stratus lead a steel
• 25:34
Speaker 2: cage match that main evented Monday Night Raw for the
• 25:36
Speaker 2: first time is one of those matches. It's not necessarily
• 25:39
Speaker 2: remembered as like this earth Shadowing an amazing five star
• 25:42
Speaker 2: match classic that they had, but it's a match that
• 25:46
Speaker 2: transcended time and helped elevate women to the next level
• 25:50
Speaker 2: because now here they are for the first time ever
• 25:52
Speaker 2: main eventing Monday Night Raw, and that was special. I
• 25:57
Speaker 2: would throw in the Charlotte's Italian match, TI you I
• 26:00
Speaker 2: manage in twenty fourteen. I think it was like it
• 26:02
Speaker 2: wasn't a NXT arrival, it was like NXT Fatal four
• 26:06
Speaker 2: way or whatever they had at that point. That to
• 26:10
Speaker 2: me was like a very telling moment in time where
• 26:16
Speaker 2: that's where I got the realization on it. And I'm
• 26:18
Speaker 2: like one of the few that actually like talks about
• 26:20
Speaker 2: that match. That's not one that you see as one
• 26:23
Speaker 2: that people point to and go, well, this match helped
• 26:25
Speaker 2: elevate the women's division, and I really think it should.
• 26:27
Speaker 2: They both had I had Brett hard in one corner,
• 26:30
Speaker 2: Charlotte obviously had Rick Flair, and it was a tournament
• 26:33
Speaker 2: final and it blew my mind. But this match, obviously
• 26:37
Speaker 2: from the NXT men's division, is like the one it's
• 26:42
Speaker 2: It's like if Steve Bone and Savage helped put WrestleMania
• 26:44
Speaker 2: on the map as like some really good in ring
• 26:46
Speaker 2: Matt classics, this is what this did for women's wrestling
• 26:49
Speaker 2: and ww AA. It's amazing to see where they are
• 26:53
Speaker 2: now in their careers. When Mercedes Monet is nine Belts Monet,
• 26:56
Speaker 2: she is dominating all lead wrestling. Selfishly, I miss in WI.
• 27:03
Speaker 2: The aw character really hasn't transcended with me well as
• 27:07
Speaker 2: much as the old Boss character from WWE did. And
• 27:10
Speaker 2: then Bailey's like in this weird little transitional phase where
• 27:14
Speaker 2: I'm really digging the vignettes that've been Aaron on RAW lately.
• 27:16
Speaker 2: I'm intrigued to see where her character goes. Where you've
• 27:19
Speaker 2: got Ding Dong Bailey and Hugger Bailey arguing with one another.
• 27:23
Speaker 2: I would love to see Hugger Bailey back here. And
• 27:25
Speaker 2: we are ten years later from this match, but they
• 27:28
Speaker 2: are staples. They are first ballot Hall of Famers for
• 27:31
Speaker 2: professional wrestling, for women's wrestling, they are some of the
• 27:35
Speaker 2: greatest of all time. And this is I don't think
• 27:41
Speaker 2: there's been a women's match, but it's been close to it.
• 27:43
Speaker 2: I think every other women's match like from this point forward,
• 27:46
Speaker 2: whether it be WAWTNA, NXT, what have you, this is
• 27:51
Speaker 2: the match that you compared to. Yeah, Rhya, Charlotte was
• 27:54
Speaker 2: really really good from WrestleMania forty one in LA. How
• 28:00
Speaker 2: did it compare to Bailey Sasha Banks from NXC Takeover,
• 28:04
Speaker 2: Tiberstny Storm and statis one. A was really good from
• 28:07
Speaker 2: all in, but how does it compare to Bailey and
• 28:09
Speaker 2: Sasha Banks from NXC Takeover. So's it's amazing here we
• 28:14
Speaker 2: are ten years later. I think it's top three, maybe
• 28:18
Speaker 2: number one, greatest match we've ever covered here in the
• 28:20
Speaker 2: history of the show due to the impact and how
• 28:22
Speaker 2: great of a match it was, and it really really
• 28:26
Speaker 2: changed the game for women's wrestler. I think at this point,
• 28:28
Speaker 2: the only thing that's left standing, and I'm glad that
• 28:31
Speaker 2: this is getting some traction and momentum, is that it's
• 28:33
Speaker 2: time for an AW pay per view to be headlined
• 28:35
Speaker 2: by a women's match. So I feel like that is
• 28:39
Speaker 2: another thing that needs to come off the checklist because
• 28:41
Speaker 2: as it should. Tim of Tony Storm is one of
• 28:45
Speaker 2: your most over and entertaining people on your entire roster
• 28:49
Speaker 2: right now, and she's a female, so it doesn't really matter.
• 28:53
Speaker 2: Doesn't always have to be a AW Champion of match
• 28:56
Speaker 2: or a brutal, violent match Tony all the time. Give
• 28:59
Speaker 2: it to telling this Tony Storm. Have a main event
• 29:02
Speaker 2: with Mercedes again, maybe even do a trouble threat with Aena,
• 29:04
Speaker 2: because I think those three women deserve that right to
• 29:07
Speaker 2: be the three that are involved in that an eventual
• 29:11
Speaker 2: main event match for an aw pay per view. With
• 29:15
Speaker 2: that said, let's transition over to a preview for an
• 29:18
Speaker 2: upcoming pay per view which takes place this Sunday, and
• 29:22
Speaker 2: I'm going to butcher this, so bear with me. Perrie
• 29:25
Speaker 2: la Defense Arena in Natier, France. I feel like I
• 29:30
Speaker 2: like put like a little Hispanic spin on that. I'm
• 29:32
Speaker 2: a kid that did not take French. I took Spanish
• 29:34
Speaker 2: in school. Maybe that's why I sound like I have
• 29:37
Speaker 2: broken French. It comes to us this Sunday and it's
• 29:40
Speaker 2: w Clash in Paris, the first ever time the WWE
• 29:44
Speaker 2: Clash in Paris is taking place. They are in Leon,
• 29:47
Speaker 2: France this Friday for SmackDown. The French crowds have been
• 29:51
Speaker 2: some of the best crowds that w has ever performed
• 29:54
Speaker 2: in front of Leon, France, especially. I am pumped up
• 29:59
Speaker 2: for the show. Backlash France was incredible. That crowd was
• 30:04
Speaker 2: amazing and I hope the French absolutely bring it on
• 30:07
Speaker 2: Friday SmackDown and on Sunday at Clash in Paris, and
• 30:10
Speaker 2: I fully expect them to so really look good forward
• 30:13
Speaker 2: to it from a crowd standpoint. Now let's get into
• 30:17
Speaker 2: the breakdown of the show here, and Doctor Trey did
• 30:20
Speaker 2: send in his prediction. So we have Seamus versus Russev
• 30:22
Speaker 2: in a gold a good old fashioned Donnie Brook match,
• 30:25
Speaker 2: and both of us have Russev in this one. I
• 30:27
Speaker 2: am super excited and stoke that these guys are getting
• 30:29
Speaker 2: there an opportunity to perform on the pl They've had
• 30:32
Speaker 2: some really good solid matches on raw as of lee
• 30:35
Speaker 2: and it's nice to see Shamus and Russo some really
• 30:37
Speaker 2: good soldiers to we getting some PL exp exposure this
• 30:41
Speaker 2: Sunday in Paris, France. Excuse me in France. It's on Paris, France.
• 30:46
Speaker 2: Next match here is Becky Lynch defending against Nikki Bella
• 30:49
Speaker 2: for the WA Women's Intercomental Championship A. Both Doctor Trey
• 30:51
Speaker 2: and I have Becky Lynch in this one, really solid bild.
• 30:54
Speaker 2: There is no better character in all of us. And
• 30:57
Speaker 2: again here we are again promoting the women's division. Induty.
• 31:02
Speaker 2: Then the heel man character big time Becks was all right.
• 31:08
Speaker 2: The man as a heel is the best. The man
• 31:11
Speaker 2: is a big face it's all right, but the heel
• 31:14
Speaker 2: man version of Becky Lynch is the absolute best. And
• 31:18
Speaker 2: really looking forward to this one on Sunday Clash in
• 31:20
Speaker 2: Pairs between Becky Lynch and Nikki Bella. Next match here
• 31:25
Speaker 2: is Roman Reigns taking on Bronson Reid. Super happy and
• 31:29
Speaker 2: excited for Bronson Reid to be in the spot. He
• 31:31
Speaker 2: is a very enjoyable character and performer in the ring.
• 31:34
Speaker 2: Love watching Bronson Reid. But he will fall to the
• 31:37
Speaker 2: tribal chief. The tribal thief will fall to the tribal chief.
• 31:40
Speaker 2: Roman Reigns in this one and just added some more
• 31:43
Speaker 2: context here. I think it's really helped the character of
• 31:46
Speaker 2: Bronson Reid doing this whole tribal thief stuff with Roman Reigns.
• 31:49
Speaker 2: I think it's been very enjoyable and it's nice to
• 31:53
Speaker 2: see this side of Bronson Reid taken effect, because I
• 31:55
Speaker 2: felt like he could have been a background player behind
• 31:57
Speaker 2: bron Breaker and Seth Rollins with a vision stable and
• 31:59
Speaker 2: he's not. He's he's kind of neck and neck with
• 32:02
Speaker 2: bron Breaker right now, and you can make a case
• 32:03
Speaker 2: over the last month kind of a seven pass bron
• 32:06
Speaker 2: Breaker a little bit, which it's I'm pretty sure is
• 32:08
Speaker 2: not the intentions of Dooey Right now, I think bron
• 32:10
Speaker 2: Breaker is the eventual golden goose for the company. John
• 32:14
Speaker 2: Cena takes on Logan Paul. Both Doctor Trey and I
• 32:16
Speaker 2: have John sena in this one, and I don't know
• 32:18
Speaker 2: if we mentioned this, but both of us have rum
• 32:20
Speaker 2: ranges on the last one as well. I was very
• 32:22
Speaker 2: tempted to pick Logan Paul in this one. It would
• 32:24
Speaker 2: not surprise me if we decided, let's give Logan Paul
• 32:28
Speaker 2: a victory over John Cena help elevate his career in
• 32:32
Speaker 2: the final month a couple months of John Cena's run
• 32:34
Speaker 2: in Do Douee, we've seen it. I mean they had
• 32:37
Speaker 2: him beat aj Styles at WrestleMania, so it's not out
• 32:40
Speaker 2: of the question, and he defeats John Cena at Appeale.
• 32:44
Speaker 2: But I would prefer that Scena continues to win, and
• 32:46
Speaker 2: that's kind of how we build up towards the end
• 32:48
Speaker 2: of John Cena. I'd like to see him not retort
• 32:51
Speaker 2: back to the John Cena who was like losing all
• 32:53
Speaker 2: the time, and we go out with classic John Cena
• 32:56
Speaker 2: on his final couple matches here before he bids up
• 33:00
Speaker 2: ad to professional wrestling, and then that takes us to
• 33:03
Speaker 2: the main event match here seth Ronins of Defense against
• 33:05
Speaker 2: Cmpunk jay Uso in La Knight in a fatal four
• 33:07
Speaker 2: way match for the World Heavyweight Championship. Both Doctor Trey
• 33:11
Speaker 2: and I have seth Rollins in this one, and I
• 33:13
Speaker 2: think this is a pretty easy match. It's to pick
• 33:15
Speaker 2: because he just won the championship. I don't think any
• 33:18
Speaker 2: of us think whatsoever that seth Rons would be dropping
• 33:20
Speaker 2: it in less than a month time after you ran
• 33:22
Speaker 2: the angle that you did at SummerSlam and the months
• 33:24
Speaker 2: leading up to it, or the three weeks leading up
• 33:27
Speaker 2: to it. You're doing this so that like seth Rolls
• 33:30
Speaker 2: outsmarts the other three and I actually think that this
• 33:32
Speaker 2: is more of a set up match for an eventual
• 33:35
Speaker 2: Wargames match. It takes place in just a couple months
• 33:38
Speaker 2: in San Diego for Survivor Series. It would not shock
• 33:41
Speaker 2: me if the vision with either one or two more
• 33:43
Speaker 2: people maybe like Drew Mcatarre and Logan Paul will be
• 33:46
Speaker 2: taking on like Punk jay Uso La Knight and two
• 33:49
Speaker 2: more people attitude. Maybe they add Randy Orton to that,
• 33:53
Speaker 2: Maybe they add Cody Rhodes to that because those are
• 33:55
Speaker 2: people who were could be feuding with those folks moving forward.
• 33:58
Speaker 2: I actually would have loved Actually, I would love to
• 34:01
Speaker 2: see John seen in this one. Can you imagine like
• 34:02
Speaker 2: Punk j Uso, l A Knight, Cody Rhodes and John
• 34:06
Speaker 2: Scene instead of Randy Orton signed me up to for that.
• 34:09
Speaker 2: So seth Ron's leaves Clash in Paris as a worldweight championship,
• 34:13
Speaker 2: and I think this is a match that you start
• 34:14
Speaker 2: to see the sprinkling of the build towards Wargames in
• 34:19
Speaker 2: late November, because this is kind of around the time
• 34:22
Speaker 2: that they started doing that, folks. So there you go.
• 34:24
Speaker 2: There is our Clash in Paris preview and predictions. Thanks
• 34:27
Speaker 2: to Doctor Trey for submitting his predictions. We will recap

Speaker 2: of his beloved Kareean Bay Packers. I wanted to open
• 34:45
Speaker 2: up with that on this week's to the show. That
• 34:47
Speaker 2: was literally going to be my entrance. I just say,
• 34:49
Speaker 2: Doctor Trey, can you believe Micah Parsons as a Green
• 34:52
Speaker 2: Bay packer my friend, and then that would take it
• 34:55

• 34:58
