- 0:00Speaker 1: Coming up on Relatables.
- 0:02Speaker 2: We're advocates for having fun into your life and our
- 0:04Speaker 2: old intro was do what you want to do, be
- 0:06Speaker 2: what you want to be, A sleep with who you
- 0:07Speaker 2: want to sleep with?
- 0:09Speaker 3: Yeah, we we would say that bit in our heads.
- 0:25Speaker 2: The Reliables podcast is hosted by myself, Audie Clark aka
- 0:28Speaker 2: Mummy and my partner in crime, mister Jake Craig aka Daddy.
- 0:33Speaker 2: You for joining us once again.
- 0:35Speaker 1: I had to sneak in there.
- 0:36Speaker 2: I'm sorry. I did realize when I had it it
- 0:39Speaker 2: was a bit dog. When I cut you off last time,
- 0:41Speaker 2: I was like, yeah, I was. I was asserting my dominance.
- 0:46Speaker 1: Ha, you're proven. Who wears the pants?
- 0:49Speaker 2: Yes, mummies always wear the pants Jake. This week we
- 0:53Speaker 2: haven't really been hanging out that much because I went away,
- 0:58Speaker 2: and I went away to do something that was probably
- 1:01Speaker 2: the most challenging thing in my life.
- 1:05Speaker 1: To this date, I think, and was it being away
- 1:07Speaker 1: from me?
- 1:10Speaker 2: Maybe that was an added factor. Sorry, I didn't realize
- 1:15Speaker 2: it could be. It could be, but I did run
- 1:19Speaker 2: a fifty k Ultra marathon, very very very cool. Yes,
- 1:24Speaker 2: and for any new listeners about would have been ages
- 1:27Speaker 2: ago six to maybe even nine months ago. It was
- 1:31Speaker 2: close to the start of the year. Yeah, maybe nine
- 1:33Speaker 2: months ago. Ten months ago. I challenged Jake on Patreon
- 1:38Speaker 2: to come to an ultra marathon with me, and we
- 1:40Speaker 2: started the journey together. I initially thought he was going
- 1:43Speaker 2: to register for the thirty, but he did the fifty
- 1:45Speaker 2: as well, and we both started really good.
- 1:48Speaker 1: We were strong words. He did the fifty as.
- 1:50Speaker 2: Well, but we both were trying doing our thing. But
- 1:55Speaker 2: unfortunately Jake got injuries because he's so old much a
- 2:00Speaker 2: in the kneecap area.
- 2:02Speaker 1: Yeah, the knee doctor said some people just not built
- 2:05Speaker 1: for running, and I was like, oh really.
- 2:06Speaker 2: Yeah, so I was a lone soldier now. But I
- 2:09Speaker 2: wasn't phazed because Jake also isn't from like a running background,
- 2:12Speaker 2: where I sort of do have a lot of running
- 2:13Speaker 2: in my backlocker.
- 2:15Speaker 1: I guess. Yeah, I was getting into it. I was
- 2:17Speaker 1: kind of devote actually, because he said you were enjoying
- 2:19Speaker 1: it. It was like, you can get an xt ray won't
- 2:20Speaker 1: tell me much, or you can get like a cat
- 2:22Speaker 1: scam which is seven hundred bucks. And I was like,
- 2:24Speaker 1: I don't like running it that much yet. Yeah, I
- 2:27Speaker 1: don't quite like it that much.
- 2:29Speaker 2: It's honestly, the sport is quite the commitment too, because
- 2:31Speaker 2: you think in your head, I was just running. I'll
- 2:32Speaker 2: just buy a pair of joggers and I'm good. But
- 2:34Speaker 2: it's like the fuel, what it does to your body joggers.
- 2:37Speaker 2: Then you get an addiction to joggers, then socks, clothes
- 2:40Speaker 2: like for girls. It's all like the different tides and
- 2:43Speaker 2: the good brands LKD like allway, keep that pump whatever.
- 2:46Speaker 2: Actually really builds up on the price. But that's besides
- 2:49Speaker 2: the point.
- 2:49Speaker 1: It's a more expensive thought than you would think going
- 2:52Speaker 1: into it.
- 2:52Speaker 2: Yeah, way more expensive. Yeah, because you just think it's
- 2:54Speaker 2: such so simple as running.
- 2:56Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:56Speaker 2: So my race was on the Thursday, and then the
- 2:59Speaker 2: one hundred and the one h miler worth the next day,
- 3:01Speaker 2: and that's just a different game in itself. Yeah, that
- 3:04Speaker 2: thing is wild. But I wanted to bring this up too,
- 3:07Speaker 2: because this is the first time I've experienced like my
- 3:11Speaker 2: body and my brain is telling me I can't do something,
- 3:15Speaker 2: but I still did it. Don't get me wrong. At
- 3:18Speaker 2: the time, I was fucking hating my life.
- 3:20Speaker 1: Yeah, Like I.
- 3:21Speaker 2: Couldn't think of I was thinking why did I do
- 3:23Speaker 2: this to myself? Like, oh, yeah, one hundred percent. I'll
- 3:26Speaker 2: run you through my race a little bit.
- 3:27Speaker 3: So I want to know.
- 3:27Speaker 1: I haven't asked for the exact reason of wanting to
- 3:29Speaker 1: talk about it on here, because we've seen each other
- 3:31Speaker 1: a little bit. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I wanted to actually say,
- 3:33Speaker 1: so do you say this? You said this was the
- 3:35Speaker 1: first time that it's been your body and your mind
- 3:38Speaker 1: saying I can't do this, and you're pushing it through. Yeah,
- 3:40Speaker 1: what about when you're trying not to come.
- 3:47Speaker 2: Nah, your body is not like I suppose, it's a
- 3:50Speaker 2: different way of your body is saying like I've got
- 3:52Speaker 2: to do this. Yeah, but it's different, uncomparable. Okay, it's uncomparable.
- 3:57Speaker 1: Trying to get myself in the same boat as you
- 3:59Speaker 1: trying to relate.
- 4:00Speaker 2: You're trying to relate around here. But okay, okay, put
- 4:08Speaker 2: me off my game. So the race started at seven
- 4:12Speaker 2: am with a little five or six k It was
- 4:16Speaker 2: relatively flat, a little bit uphill and down, just your
- 4:18Speaker 2: average running in like a trail run where like cars
- 4:21Speaker 2: go and stuff, and that's the split everyone up.
- 4:23Speaker 1: At the start.
- 4:24Speaker 2: There was nine hundred people in my race, and I
- 4:26Speaker 2: was in like the second front pack. Yeah, nine hundred people.
- 4:32Speaker 2: So we started the race first six k I'm feeling good.
- 4:35Speaker 1: I knew.
- 4:36Speaker 2: I'm like, I'm going to start really slow because it's
- 4:37Speaker 2: a long race. I was running like five minutes five
- 4:39Speaker 2: minute thirty pace, which is pretty relatively slow for me.
- 4:43Speaker 2: Just on the for the flat mate, I was just
- 4:44Speaker 2: for that's get off the stage. On the flat, I
- 4:48Speaker 2: hear mey is quick, hear me, hear me out. But
- 4:51Speaker 2: that's on flat okay, flat flat flat five thirty is
- 4:53Speaker 2: pretty like I'm just like taking it easy. I'm feeling good.
- 4:56Speaker 2: And then I don't know, sort of a drelline takes
- 4:58Speaker 2: over and the next I think it was six six
- 5:02Speaker 2: kilometers to seventeen kilometers, so that twelve kilometers in the
- 5:04Speaker 2: middle was straight downhill down, I don't know what one
- 5:07Speaker 2: of the Koziosco mountains. Yeah, and it's like just down
- 5:10Speaker 2: trails which is like jagged steps and like stones and
- 5:13Speaker 2: it's not like flat ground. And I was feeling great, yeah,
- 5:15Speaker 2: and I think, yeah, Dragones was taken over too, and
- 5:19Speaker 2: I was like, yeah, let's go. And I was in
- 5:20Speaker 2: like a little pack, so I sort of had to
- 5:21Speaker 2: run with him because if I slowed down, like people
- 5:23Speaker 2: would have to overtake me. And I was like, no,
- 5:24Speaker 2: I'm feeling good. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So I got to
- 5:26Speaker 2: seventeen k's I was feeling good and that was the
- 5:28Speaker 2: first checkpoint where I saw my girlfriend who was crawling
- 5:30Speaker 2: meat and I was like, yeah, I'm feeling good. I
- 5:32Speaker 2: was quick on the checkpoint, got some like food and shit,
- 5:34Speaker 2: giving back out there. Yeah, yeah, get me back out there.
- 5:37Speaker 2: The sun was coming out, but and I was feeling
- 5:38Speaker 2: a bit hot because I was wearing I was wearing
- 5:40Speaker 2: black and my black hat just didn't breathe. But feeling good.
- 5:43Speaker 2: Then seventeen to twenty five was still like feeling decent,
- 5:47Speaker 2: and that was more of just rolling hills. And there
- 5:49Speaker 2: was a checkpoint at twenty five and I was like,
- 5:51Speaker 2: oh fuck, I'm suing to feel like shit. Yeah, but
- 5:53Speaker 2: it wasn't fitness wise. It was fatiguing my legs. So
- 5:57Speaker 2: twenty five and then it was twenty six to thirty
- 6:00Speaker 2: eight was the next checkpoint. So how many twenty six.
- 6:02Speaker 1: To thirty eight, So you did so it was a
- 6:03Speaker 1: twenty five to thirty eight. Yeah, technically six to thirty eight, right, yeah,
- 6:06Speaker 1: so that's over, that's a twelve CA's.
- 6:07Speaker 2: Yeah. So that that twelve k's is the hardest twelve
- 6:09Speaker 2: k's I've ever done in my life. WHOA Like I
- 6:12Speaker 2: couldn't even run, like, no joke, my legs, my hamstrings
- 6:15Speaker 2: just started to burn, like the sensation was like I
- 6:17Speaker 2: don't even know how to explain. It was like they
- 6:19Speaker 2: were almost falling off. Like literally. It wasn't because it
- 6:22Speaker 2: wasn't from My fitness was fine, ye, but it was
- 6:25Speaker 2: the impact and not very much training in the trails
- 6:29Speaker 2: and the naivety of going downhill so quickly, like my
- 6:32Speaker 2: hamstrings just couldn't cap my weight.
- 6:34Speaker 1: So you think, would you have been in a better
- 6:36Speaker 1: place if you did try to slow down on the downhill? Ye?
- 6:38Speaker 2: One hundre percent? Okay you to Loe, Yeah, one hundred percent,
- 6:41Speaker 2: one hundred percent.
- 6:42Speaker 1: Would I would have gone so on the downhills?
- 6:44Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I wasn't. I wasn't going that fast, like
- 6:46Speaker 2: I slowed down a lot, Like it wasn't like I
- 6:47Speaker 2: was still running heaps.
- 6:48Speaker 1: I would have just gone slow because I was scared
- 6:50Speaker 1: of fall.
- 6:51Speaker 2: Yeah. I think adrealine did take over. But honestly, so
- 6:54Speaker 2: that those hills were rolling, I couldn't even like people
- 6:57Speaker 2: were walking. Everyone was walking. Yeah, because they were just
- 6:59Speaker 2: rolling hills. People were walking past me way faster than
- 7:01Speaker 2: I could walk. I was literally going, like you know
- 7:03Speaker 2: that proper after like a big leg day, like the
- 7:06Speaker 2: first thing you wake up in the morning. That's like
- 7:07Speaker 2: how fast I was walking. Really, it was so hard. Honestly,
- 7:11Speaker 2: I kind of even explained it.
- 7:12Speaker 1: I was thinking.
- 7:12Speaker 2: The sun started coming down. I was like, why did
- 7:14Speaker 2: I do this to myself? And I was hating life.
- 7:16Speaker 2: Everyone was overtaking me, and shit, I was like, this
- 7:18Speaker 2: is so hard.
- 7:19Speaker 1: I'm such a loser.
- 7:20Speaker 2: And then I'm also thinking to myself, I've got like
- 7:22Speaker 2: but I wasn't even at the checkpoint at that point.
- 7:23Speaker 2: I still had about fifteen k's left to the race,
- 7:25Speaker 2: and I knew there was more elevation. I was like,
- 7:27Speaker 2: what if I got myself into mat and I only
- 7:30Speaker 2: just made it to the thirty eight checkpoint? And I
- 7:32Speaker 2: was like so angry at myself and off.
- 7:35Speaker 1: It is the video that you posted in your carousel
- 7:37Speaker 1: where Cassie's like, do you want to sit? Do you
- 7:39Speaker 1: want to say, yeah, is that the thirty eight k
- 7:41Speaker 1: You didn't even I was looking at it and she's like,
- 7:43Speaker 1: she's like, you want to sit? You want to stand
- 7:45Speaker 1: and you're just like you just look at her and
- 7:47Speaker 1: you don't even reer why.
- 7:48Speaker 2: I was like, but my body was honestly telling me
- 7:51Speaker 2: like fuck you, like, don't go any further. And then
- 7:55Speaker 2: I was I was contemplating. I was like, fuck shit,
- 7:57Speaker 2: pull out. I was like, no, I can't do that.
- 7:59Speaker 2: I'm like, I can just walk and finished in like
- 8:00Speaker 2: ten hours if I really want to. But I left
- 8:04Speaker 2: that check point so angry, and I don't know if
- 8:07Speaker 2: it was like a bit of I had a caffeine
- 8:09Speaker 2: drink at as Celsius. I don't know if it was
- 8:12Speaker 2: that would help. But I walked for like maybe probably
- 8:16Speaker 2: one or two k's and I was still feeling bad.
- 8:18Speaker 2: But then I just found myself for some reason, and
- 8:20Speaker 2: I put Hamish and Andy's podcast in just to distract
- 8:22Speaker 2: myself from my own thoughts. Some reason. I was hating music.
- 8:25Speaker 2: I listened to music the whole time I was training,
- 8:27Speaker 2: but I was hating music. As soon as the song
- 8:29Speaker 2: came on, I was just getting like more pissed off.
- 8:31Speaker 2: What yes, I was just I was even nothing or
- 8:34Speaker 2: Hamish and Andy was a good distraction. So the last
- 8:37Speaker 2: thirty eight to fifty was going up Threadbow, which was
- 8:40Speaker 2: like majority of the elevation, which was about a thousand
- 8:43Speaker 2: meters elevated. And have you ever been You've been in
- 8:48Speaker 2: cosiosca Way, Oh you haven't never been.
- 8:50Speaker 1: The hill.
- 8:51Speaker 2: I don't even know how to explain today is the biggest,
- 8:54Speaker 2: most annoying thing you could ever look at in your life.
- 8:57Speaker 2: I got pissed. I was like, I've got to go
- 8:59Speaker 2: up that.
- 9:00Speaker 1: And it's just you're at the bottom and you look
- 9:02Speaker 1: at it and you're like fuck. And then you start
- 9:04Speaker 1: and does it feel like it's like I haven't made
- 9:06Speaker 1: any I've been running forever.
- 9:08Speaker 2: And you physically can't run. And it was very beautiful.
- 9:11Speaker 2: It looked like a sort of like the Hobbit, you
- 9:13Speaker 2: know that scene where they're running away from the.
- 9:15Speaker 1: Yorks and the elves help them.
- 9:17Speaker 2: Yeah, what I say, It sort of looked like that.
- 9:20Speaker 2: So it was very beautiful. And then that went for ages,
- 9:25Speaker 2: I think. So I did the first seven and k's
- 9:26Speaker 2: in an hour and a half and then the rest
- 9:28Speaker 2: of my race was like four and a half hours. Wow, okay, yeah,
- 9:33Speaker 2: So it was so insane and you got to the
- 9:35Speaker 2: top and I was like, thank god, there's five k's downhill,
- 9:37Speaker 2: I'm gombe cheer and I can go downhill again. And
- 9:40Speaker 2: the downhill was literally like straight down. You couldn't run it.
- 9:44Speaker 2: I had to walk and it was fucked my joints again.
- 9:46Speaker 1: Fuck man.
- 9:47Speaker 2: And then when I finished, I was like, yes, I've
- 9:49Speaker 2: done and I was like I'm never doing that ever again.
- 9:52Speaker 2: But finishing it, I felt like I was like I
- 9:55Speaker 2: never want to do this again. But like, reflecting on
- 9:57Speaker 2: it now, it was so cool to do something that
- 9:59Speaker 2: my body and brain thought like don't do this or
- 10:02Speaker 2: like why are you doing this? Like pushing yourself past
- 10:04Speaker 2: that limit, And it's the first time I've actually like
- 10:06Speaker 2: felt that limit of like I don't know, your body's
- 10:09Speaker 2: like it's just saying no to yourself. And it was
- 10:12Speaker 2: pretty It was pretty cool and overall like I'm so
- 10:15Speaker 2: happy I did it.
- 10:16Speaker 1: I'm proud of you. Ay, that's fucking hectic, I expanded.
- 10:19Speaker 2: Yeah, anyone out there is thinking like, oh, maybe it's
- 10:21Speaker 2: too hard or I've got a lot of people in
- 10:23Speaker 2: my post saying like how do you train for that?
- 10:25Speaker 2: Honestly I didn't do enough training. No, But honestly, just
- 10:27Speaker 2: chuck yourself on the deep end and figure it out. Okay,
- 10:29Speaker 2: that's the best advice. Yeah, because you're surprised how like
- 10:35Speaker 2: human nature tells you no. But if you just push
- 10:37Speaker 2: yourself past there, you'll be so proud of yourself.
- 10:40Speaker 1: It's a good Like I don't think what you're saying,
- 10:43Speaker 1: like the experience you're saying that you've experienced, I don't
- 10:44Speaker 1: think I've ever experienced it because I got a six
- 10:47Speaker 1: k run and like stop for a break because I'm tired,
- 10:49Speaker 1: but like I could push through that you should keep going.
- 10:53Speaker 2: And I've been in plenty of situations like grand finals,
- 10:56Speaker 2: like back to back soccer games. I'm getting cramps, like
- 10:58Speaker 2: my body's saying, no, they're and it's not comparable. No,
- 11:02Speaker 2: it's a completely different like beasts, And I see you.
- 11:04Speaker 2: I do see why people get like addicted to the
- 11:06Speaker 2: sport in a sense.
- 11:07Speaker 1: Really.
- 11:07Speaker 2: Yeah, Like we watched the one hundred k and one
- 11:09Speaker 2: hundred and sixty whatever it is the next day, and
- 11:11Speaker 2: that's a different beast than itself. And there's some weapons
- 11:14Speaker 2: there who were just like doesn't even look like they
- 11:16Speaker 2: run one hundred klometers?
- 11:17Speaker 1: I reckon, Oh wait, you mean like they finish? Yeah,
- 11:21Speaker 1: and they just kind of like look like they're chilling.
- 11:22Speaker 2: Well, the guy won. I did my race in six
- 11:25Speaker 2: hours and fifty three minutes, and I wanted to die
- 11:28Speaker 2: after it. Yeah, the guy won, I think did in
- 11:30Speaker 2: like four hours thirty which is like I think he
- 11:34Speaker 2: did like four minute twenty k's what something like that,
- 11:38Speaker 2: or maybe four minute forty k's And it was four
- 11:39Speaker 2: hours and forty minutes.
- 11:40Speaker 1: What.
- 11:41Speaker 2: Yeah, and that's up a thousand, three hundred meters of elevation.
- 11:47Speaker 2: What there's different breeds in the world. Ey, it's so crazy.
- 11:49Speaker 2: I said to Cassis before we started, I was like,
- 11:51Speaker 2: take a picture of him. He better look like a
- 11:52Speaker 2: praying man.
- 11:54Speaker 1: What the fuck? And our friend Riley did the thirty.
- 11:58Speaker 2: Yeah, our friend Riley did the thirty. He was going good.
- 12:00Speaker 2: He heard his ankle at like ten or twelve k's
- 12:02Speaker 2: in and walked a bit after that, but he still
- 12:04Speaker 2: said it was the same experience for his thirty. And
- 12:06Speaker 2: he was coming from running absolutely nothing.
- 12:09Speaker 1: So he was coming for he was coming through from
- 12:11Speaker 1: a phase in his life where like he had gone
- 12:15Speaker 1: through a breakup a couple of years ago, like maybe
- 12:17Speaker 1: a year or two ago, a little bit less, and
- 12:20Speaker 1: then kind of through a phase where he just was
- 12:22Speaker 1: like working having fun and wasn't focusing on fitness.
- 12:26Speaker 2: No, not at all.
- 12:27Speaker 1: And I remember when we started training, he was doing
- 12:32Speaker 1: the thirty and so he was training. I went for
- 12:34Speaker 1: one run with him and he was in the process
- 12:38Speaker 1: of quitting smoking while he was training.
- 12:41Speaker 2: Oh, he didn't quit at all, he said, because I
- 12:43Speaker 2: was saying, my thoughts were about like Ned Brockman's like
- 12:45Speaker 2: a beast. I can't be sad about myself. He was saying,
- 12:47Speaker 2: like I shouldn't have smoked that one cigarette. He was
- 12:50Speaker 2: thinking about all the cigarettes he should have smoked.
- 12:54Speaker 1: I wonder if him doing the race is going to
- 12:56Speaker 1: make him quit.
- 12:57Speaker 2: Maybe he loved it though. He was so inspired and
- 13:00Speaker 2: he's signed up for a marathon and he wants to
- 13:01Speaker 2: do another ultar and stuff, and like it sort of
- 13:03Speaker 2: gives you like motivation and makes you scratch an itch.
- 13:06Speaker 2: You didn't know your ad I guess fucking hell.
- 13:08Speaker 1: And now I've got the itch. And I've been doing
- 13:10Speaker 1: short runs like six k runs but on grass. Yeah,
- 13:12Speaker 1: and my knee hasn't been hurting.
- 13:13Speaker 2: I reckon if you go to a physio, when you
- 13:15Speaker 2: get the proper rehab and stuff, you could.
- 13:17Speaker 1: Get through it. Like maybe this seven hundred bus could
- 13:18Speaker 1: be worth it, and like train at the gym in
- 13:20Speaker 1: a proper way.
- 13:21Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't think you need to spend seven hundred
- 13:23Speaker 2: bucks if you go to a physio first, true, and
- 13:24Speaker 2: then you can get referral.
- 13:25Speaker 1: Want to be cheaper, I could do. The first thing
- 13:27Speaker 1: I should try is just the free YouTube videos of
- 13:30Speaker 1: that knees overtow guy and see if that helps. I've
- 13:33Speaker 1: started holding his knees. I've started walking backwards.
- 13:35Speaker 2: On a treadmill just to help with my like hip
- 13:37Speaker 2: mobility and stuff, which is the knee of a tow guy.
- 13:40Speaker 2: But overall was a sick experience and.
- 13:42Speaker 1: Like how was did you add? Was there any any
- 13:45Speaker 1: point in time where you kind of got to chill?
- 13:47Speaker 1: What usually were there for what? Three four nights?
- 13:50Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 13:50Speaker 1: Four nights? Was there any point in time? It was
- 13:52Speaker 1: kind of like, oh, this is like a nice relaxing place,
- 13:53Speaker 1: you know, I mean kept out Becauseosco it's beautiful.
- 13:56Speaker 2: I was thinking, like during the race, I had a
- 13:58Speaker 2: few moments when I was at the top there was
- 13:59Speaker 2: like a nice like I think it was limestone steps
- 14:04Speaker 2: and water was flying through them and I stopped and
- 14:05Speaker 2: put some water on my face. It was so hot,
- 14:08Speaker 2: and I was like, this is this is beautiful.
- 14:11Speaker 1: There's no way I wouldn't have really just tried to
- 14:13Speaker 1: be so main character and imagined I was like, fucking
- 14:16Speaker 1: what was his name? In the Last of Us show?
- 14:18Speaker 1: What the fuck is the main Curriss Pedro main characters name.
- 14:22Speaker 1: He's just like been out for days running from zombies.
- 14:25Speaker 1: He's got the girl, and then he just finds like
- 14:27Speaker 1: this river and he just goes that's his shower for
- 14:29Speaker 1: the week. There's no way I wouldn't have imagined myself
- 14:32Speaker 1: just being like so many It was so.
- 14:34Speaker 2: Nice, so like it was like I need water, Like
- 14:37Speaker 2: it's like you've been in the desert for a week,
- 14:39Speaker 2: and I wanted to take it all in, but I
- 14:42Speaker 2: was just like I'll take it in for like two seconds,
- 14:44Speaker 2: and you look away from your feet and then you
- 14:46Speaker 2: just like you're you might fall over, and then then
- 14:47Speaker 2: you feel like, shit, yeah, I can't take this in.
- 14:49Speaker 1: True while you're running, you can't take it.
- 14:51Speaker 2: You're like, I hate this. You ever stop like properly
- 14:54Speaker 2: look around And I didn't stop. Oh, and I'll finish
- 14:58Speaker 2: it on. You know you're gonna laugh. You know how
- 15:00Speaker 2: we often talk about when you gotta.
- 15:02Speaker 1: Go, you got to go. I was so waiting to
- 15:04Speaker 1: ask if you needed to shit.
- 15:05Speaker 2: So after that thirty eight K where I died, I
- 15:10Speaker 2: was in that two little K spot where I was
- 15:12Speaker 2: finding myself again. I had to take a piss. Yeah,
- 15:14Speaker 2: And I just stopped warning the bush show boom and
- 15:16Speaker 2: pans down, took a piss, and like as I was pissing,
- 15:19Speaker 2: like I had no control of my like behind, and
- 15:22Speaker 2: I was like, oh shit, if I keep pissing, I'm
- 15:24Speaker 2: gonna shit. And I just had to stop pissing and
- 15:27Speaker 2: then and I couldn't. Like I honestly, it was weird.
- 15:29Speaker 2: My body was like going into like I don't know
- 15:31Speaker 2: how to function. So I didn't shit myself. But if
- 15:34Speaker 2: I kept pissing one hundred percent would have what one
- 15:37Speaker 2: hundred percent?
- 15:41Speaker 1: Wait what?
- 15:42Speaker 2: It was so weird. It was like I had to
- 15:43Speaker 2: like clench my butt cheeks and then like just stop.
- 15:47Speaker 2: It was so weird, like he'd had an epidural or
- 15:50Speaker 2: some shit. It's what's it called when you like lose
- 15:52Speaker 2: control of like your bodily functions.
- 15:54Speaker 1: I don't know, getting old.
- 15:56Speaker 2: I didn't know it felt like that. Just you know
- 15:58Speaker 2: how sometimes when you're taking a piss and like fight
- 16:00Speaker 2: comes out and you can't help it. Oh yeah, pissed
- 16:01Speaker 2: with out A fart's like a dance without music. Like
- 16:03Speaker 2: it felt like that, but like I knew, I knew,
- 16:05Speaker 2: I knew it wasn't a fart. Oh yeah, you know
- 16:08Speaker 2: when a fart's not a fart. Yeah, But I couldn't
- 16:10Speaker 2: stop it. Like so I was like, I'm just stopping pissing,
- 16:12Speaker 2: and I didn't. It was like pissing wasn't like nice.
- 16:14Speaker 2: It was like green and sort of hurt a little bit.
- 16:16Speaker 1: Sold he kept running. I remember seeing the thing David Goggins.
- 16:22Speaker 1: He used to be like a big, big fella, right,
- 16:24Speaker 1: and now he's obviously real skinny and like, you know,
- 16:27Speaker 1: run until you die whatever. But he said the first
- 16:32Speaker 1: ever like one hundred mile thing he did was I
- 16:34Speaker 1: think it was a round a track and he did
- 16:36Speaker 1: it to raise money for because you know that, what's
- 16:39Speaker 1: the movie called where Mark Warburg plays the guy that's
- 16:42Speaker 1: like falls down a mountain and shit as an army dude.
- 16:45Speaker 2: Oh, I know exactly the movie talking about fuck it's
- 16:47Speaker 2: a good movie.
- 16:47Speaker 1: But basically, there was a helicopter that was about to
- 16:50Speaker 1: go rescue Mark Warburg. It's all true story. And David
- 16:53Speaker 1: Goggins knew some guys in that helicopter that fucking crash, right,
- 16:57Speaker 1: they all died, And so he went to do this
- 16:59Speaker 1: run for someone he knew. And he said that in
- 17:01Speaker 1: this he had barely ever ran. He was massive, he
- 17:04Speaker 1: was fat, and he goes and he runs a hundred
- 17:05Speaker 1: miles and he said that he was just like while
- 17:08Speaker 1: he was running, he was just straight up oozing shit
- 17:11Speaker 1: out of his asshole. Blood was coming out of his asshole.
- 17:13Speaker 1: He said, he just like lost all control. Hundred percent.
- 17:16Speaker 2: Agree, if you got to like one hundred hundred and
- 17:17Speaker 2: sixty K, I don't reckon you have any control of
- 17:19Speaker 2: your bodily functions. Oh my god, Well you obviously do
- 17:22Speaker 2: if you train like a lot. Yeah, but like if
- 17:24Speaker 2: he's coming from nothing, and I didn't do nearly as
- 17:27Speaker 2: much training as I should have known.
- 17:29Speaker 1: Right, But well, shit, man, you should be proud of yourself.
- 17:32Speaker 1: That's a fucking pretty big feat.
- 17:34Speaker 2: Thanks. And I saw one very nice fan was working there. Yeah,
- 17:38Speaker 2: so shout out to you. I don't know, I don't
- 17:40Speaker 2: know your name. She said high a couple of times,
- 17:42Speaker 2: and I saw her after the race and she did
- 17:44Speaker 2: the fifties. Well finished in about ten hours. You know,
- 17:47Speaker 2: did fifty Yeah, legend, So props to you, Props to you.
- 17:50Speaker 1: Fan shout out actually, if we're talking about fan interaction,
- 17:53Speaker 1: shout out to the girl that said hi to me
- 17:54Speaker 1: at the beach a couple of weeks ago. That was
- 17:55Speaker 1: really nice. It's like super nice. Henry went in her
- 18:02Speaker 1: bag and tried to steal some food, so she's like,
- 18:05Speaker 1: I know you. And then the other day, the other day,
- 18:08Speaker 1: I was taking Beth, her best friend, Casey, and Henry
- 18:12Speaker 1: back to Sydney and we pulled, you know, the McDonald's
- 18:14Speaker 1: at Gosford. If you're a very very long time listener.
- 18:17Speaker 1: In one of the first episodes, ODDI prank called that
- 18:19Speaker 1: exact McDonald's and we just like went through the drive
- 18:23Speaker 1: through and the girl serving she looked at me, and
- 18:27Speaker 1: we can tell now like she like looked in she
- 18:30Speaker 1: saw Beth and she Henry and I was I just
- 18:31Speaker 1: feel like this is all confirming it for her. She
- 18:33Speaker 1: didn't say anything, but when we left, Beth was like
- 18:35Speaker 1: she definitely knew wo you were. And she was like
- 18:36Speaker 1: and we're in the gets. I was like, yeah, she's
- 18:40Speaker 1: probably thinking to herself, Fuck, they're struggling your tiny car. Alrighty, guys,
- 18:55Speaker 1: we a couple of weeks ago, actually were we kept
- 18:59Speaker 1: on body count topics come up and a reoccurring thing. Yeah,
- 19:03Speaker 1: it can't be super real. It was reoccurring. It kept happening,
- 19:06Speaker 1: and so we were talking about and we kept giving
- 19:07Speaker 1: a pinion, and then one day I was like, fuck it,
- 19:10Speaker 1: Like any dudes listening, I know that you're the minority
- 19:13Speaker 1: in our listeners, but and we love you, and any
- 19:15Speaker 1: dudes listening. If you do care about body count, because
- 19:17Speaker 1: it's always men that care, tell us why and we
- 19:20Speaker 1: will read it, give our opinions. Everyone's entitled to my opinion.
- 19:24Speaker 2: Should we say where we stand first? Just the recap and.
- 19:27Speaker 1: Easy thing of where I stand is, I just don't care.
- 19:31Speaker 1: I care about my girlfriend, but you know, one hundred.
- 19:36Speaker 2: It is what it is. Yeah, we both haven't asked
- 19:38Speaker 2: our partners what their body count is. I don't care,
- 19:41Speaker 2: and I think it's all about having fun and you
- 19:43Speaker 2: need to do all those things to find yourself exactly.
- 19:45Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, but we got an email from a female listener.
- 19:49Speaker 2: Also, it wasn't a guy.
- 19:51Speaker 1: I'm going to read it, it says, hey, guys love
- 19:57Speaker 1: the pod was listening to the latest step where you
- 19:59Speaker 1: guys just start, discussed how body counts shouldn't matter and
- 20:02Speaker 1: asked for any men listening who disagree to write in. Well,
- 20:06Speaker 1: my boyfriend, whilst he isn't a listener, is one of
- 20:09Speaker 1: these men. When we first started dating, I told him
- 20:14Speaker 1: very early that my body count was high, around one hundred,
- 20:19Speaker 1: and he told me his was around twenty to twenty five.
- 20:22Speaker 1: While I've always been openly comfortable with my past, sorry
- 20:26Speaker 1: with my past promiscuity, and I believe BodyCount shouldn't matter,
- 20:31Speaker 1: he admitted this is slightly off putting. His reason is
- 20:35Speaker 1: that it is more difficult for a man to sleep
- 20:37Speaker 1: with a woman than vice versa, meaning if a man
- 20:42Speaker 1: has a higher body count, he put in the work
- 20:45Speaker 1: to get to know the girl and in quotes riz
- 20:48Speaker 1: her enough to get her to bed, whereas women are
- 20:51Speaker 1: basically able to snap their fingers and a man will
- 20:54Speaker 1: sleep with them. With this reasoning, it implies a higher
- 20:59Speaker 1: body count for a girl means she gives it away
- 21:02Speaker 1: easier and therefore is less of a prize slash, it's
- 21:06Speaker 1: less special. Whilst I've vocalized my disagreement. I can't deny
- 21:12Speaker 1: I see merit in his argument. Keen to hear your thoughts.
- 21:16Speaker 1: I won't say her name. Interesting, Yeah, shit, I remember
- 21:20Speaker 1: when I first read it. I was I've had time
- 21:22Speaker 1: to obviously read I've read it, and I've had time
- 21:23Speaker 1: to think about it and stuff. So I was kind
- 21:26Speaker 1: of interested obviously to see what you had to think
- 21:28Speaker 1: about his I think it.
- 21:29Speaker 2: Really plays on you mentioned it on Patreon that there's
- 21:33Speaker 2: like this I don't know what it is, this crypto
- 21:36Speaker 2: guy minority of people who love like Donald Trump Andrew
- 21:41Speaker 2: Tate and have this mindset that like being an alpha
- 21:46Speaker 2: male is the way to go.
- 21:48Speaker 1: Yeah. I just very recently watched this well editing and
- 21:52Speaker 1: this was my analogy. I was like, so Donald Trump
- 21:54Speaker 1: got in, and as soon as Donald Trump got in,
- 21:56Speaker 1: Crypto loved it. Crypto went up. So everyone's jumping on
- 21:59Speaker 1: ball with done. All the crypto or bros are starting
- 22:01Speaker 1: to make videos and I was like, so it's like
- 22:03Speaker 1: crypto and then they meet them. As Crypto goes up,
- 22:06Speaker 1: you're not allowed to have a bike high body count.
- 22:08Speaker 2: Up's my analogy, and it goes off like all those
- 22:11Speaker 2: guys who are on like that pyramid scheme, who like
- 22:14Speaker 2: watched all the gym videos and take steroids and everything,
- 22:17Speaker 2: and like oupha blokes we said something about like the
- 22:19Speaker 2: god complex or something. Yeah, it's a god complex. And
- 22:22Speaker 2: I definitely see like playing Devil's Advocate, I see where
- 22:24Speaker 2: his brain is coming from. Yeah, and I do think
- 22:28Speaker 2: to a certain extent, girls can get sex more easier
- 22:32Speaker 2: than guys. But it's also very personalized. A good looking
- 22:35Speaker 2: guy can snap his fingers as well.
- 22:36Speaker 1: So here here's what I was saying. So I've showed
- 22:38Speaker 1: Beth this. Yeah, I've showed I've showed Harry this, and
- 22:43Speaker 1: I think what I came to after, Like, we spoke
- 22:45Speaker 1: about it for quite a while, Harry and I actually,
- 22:47Speaker 1: and you could make an argument right that, let's say
- 22:50Speaker 1: girls do get it easier, and so if she's got
- 22:53Speaker 1: a really high body count, maybe she doesn't think of
- 22:55Speaker 1: sex as something all that special, whereas, like, you know,
- 22:59Speaker 1: we lost our virginity with a girlfriend and it was special,
- 23:02Speaker 1: so from the start we thought it was special. So
- 23:05Speaker 1: she doesn't think of it as all that special. It's
- 23:07Speaker 1: not like a connection thing. And I was thinking about it.
- 23:10Speaker 1: I was thinking like maybe at one point in her life,
- 23:12Speaker 1: she didn't maybe she has a BodyCount of three hundred,
- 23:14Speaker 1: maybe she has a BodyCount of one hundred, maybe fifties
- 23:15Speaker 1: high in your opinion, And maybe she didn't think of
- 23:18Speaker 1: sex as all that special. But what if, like, you know,
- 23:21Speaker 1: who's to say that she didn't have a boyfriend, went
- 23:25Speaker 1: through a nally heartbreak and then also she's like, oh, well, fuck,
- 23:30Speaker 1: like I want to have some fun now, right, And
- 23:32Speaker 1: so she goes and she has some fun, but then
- 23:34Speaker 1: she's like, oh, you know what, this doesn't feel very good.
- 23:36Speaker 1: I feel a bit empty inside, like I want sex
- 23:39Speaker 1: to mean something. So then she's the next guy she
- 23:41Speaker 1: starts seeing she really likes him and sex means something.
- 23:44Speaker 1: But then he finds out she has a high BodyCount,
- 23:47Speaker 1: and he's like, oh fuck, you don't value sex, like
- 23:48Speaker 1: blah blah blah blah blah, Like who's to say she
- 23:50Speaker 1: can't change on you can't?
- 23:52Speaker 3: You know?
- 23:53Speaker 1: So I think that's the thing. It's like there's so
- 23:55Speaker 1: many different like arguments and before actually before I forget,
- 23:59Speaker 1: Beth had a really really good point and she knows
- 24:02Speaker 1: this is like a fact. Actually I didn't know this
- 24:04Speaker 1: until she told us this. She told Harry and I
- 24:06Speaker 1: So sometimes a girl can go through a traumatic experience
- 24:10Speaker 1: with sexual assault or something along those lines, and because
- 24:14Speaker 1: in that moment she had zero control, right, she was
- 24:18Speaker 1: terrified and a man did something to her and she
- 24:21Speaker 1: had zero control of it. After that, it's not an
- 24:25Speaker 1: uncommon thing for a female to go hyper sexual, and
- 24:28Speaker 1: so she thinks, like she can actively think it or
- 24:31Speaker 1: even subconsciously think like, well, I'm never letting that happen again.
- 24:35Speaker 1: I will be having one hundred percent control of my body,
- 24:38Speaker 1: and so they actively make the decision like it's like
- 24:42Speaker 1: a thing of they become hyper sexual because they are
- 24:45Speaker 1: in control when they are like that. So it's kind
- 24:47Speaker 1: of also like if someone has a high body count
- 24:50Speaker 1: and you're just like, oh, you're a like sorr. I
- 24:52Speaker 1: shouldn't say that, but oh you're you know, value it
- 24:55Speaker 1: blah blah blah blah blah, like you never know what
- 24:57Speaker 1: they've been through.
- 24:58Speaker 2: No, And also taking it back one step from that
- 25:03Speaker 2: obviously doesn't go into it as much detail as that,
- 25:06Speaker 2: But even if you have a breakup, it's sort of
- 25:08Speaker 2: the same effect, like you've got your heart completely broken
- 25:11Speaker 2: and you're like it's out of your control. It was
- 25:13Speaker 2: out of your control. You don't really know how to feel.
- 25:15Speaker 2: So you're just like, I'm going to have some sex
- 25:17Speaker 2: and I'm going to be in a complete control of
- 25:18Speaker 2: everyone know who I have sex with. And I think,
- 25:21Speaker 2: going back to what we said at the start, I
- 25:23Speaker 2: stand by no matter how many people she or he
- 25:27Speaker 2: slept with, they did all that for a reason to
- 25:29Speaker 2: get to the beautiful person they are now. One person,
- 25:32Speaker 2: two people, one hundred people, doesn't.
- 25:34Speaker 1: Matter, not really.
- 25:36Speaker 2: In the end, she's now dating this guy, and this
- 25:39Speaker 2: guy probably frosts her because she has such a good
- 25:41Speaker 2: open mindset, loves the sex with her boyfriend because she's
- 25:43Speaker 2: experienced sex before, it knows what she likes. She's confident
- 25:47Speaker 2: in herself because she put herself out there so often
- 25:49Speaker 2: and she had to do all that to become this
- 25:51Speaker 2: beautiful girl. And this guy is just saying like, no,
- 25:53Speaker 2: it's just easy for you.
- 25:55Speaker 1: Like funny it.
- 25:56Speaker 2: Also, I'm being relatable. When I was Adeena used to
- 25:59Speaker 2: think that exactly thing.
- 26:00Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I would have too.
- 26:01Speaker 2: Yeah. So I see the argument from guys. I don't
- 26:03Speaker 2: agree with it. And if their mindset still is in
- 26:06Speaker 2: that mindset, it's completely naive. But I'm not going to
- 26:09Speaker 2: say it's the wrong mindset. You'd entitled your own opinion
- 26:12Speaker 2: of course.
- 26:12Speaker 1: Yeah. Well, we got a comment on a video from
- 26:15Speaker 1: someone he was on the Spotify episode where we're talking
- 26:17Speaker 1: about body count, and I think we may have also
- 26:20Speaker 1: at the end of it been like, are you sleep
- 26:21Speaker 1: with whoever you want? Yeah?
- 26:24Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, because we're advocates for having fun and it's
- 26:27Speaker 2: your life, and our old intro was do what you
- 26:29Speaker 2: want to do, be what you want to be, sleep
- 26:31Speaker 2: with who you want to sleep with.
- 26:33Speaker 1: Yeah, we would say that bit in our head.
- 26:35Speaker 2: Yeah, but his background was obviously a religious one, and
- 26:41Speaker 2: in his eyes, there's no gender role or playing it
- 26:46Speaker 2: that differentiates whether or not a high body count changes
- 26:51Speaker 2: the value of a person. And he just said in religion,
- 26:55Speaker 2: anyone with a high BodyCount is seen as less valuable
- 26:59Speaker 2: or less Yeah.
- 27:01Speaker 1: Yeah, So we didn't want to go out there. I
- 27:03Speaker 1: think I just wanted to point out, like we don't
- 27:06Speaker 1: religion isn't something we are professionals. It's not a factor
- 27:09Speaker 1: in our lives and it's not a factor in our lives,
- 27:11Speaker 1: and so yeah, don't take if you're religious, I wouldn't
- 27:13Speaker 1: take anything. We say, Yeah, well, that's seriously it was
- 27:16Speaker 1: interesting to see that side of things because he was
- 27:18Speaker 1: coming at it from an equal point of view. Yeah,
- 27:21Speaker 1: because he said this whole thing about bodycounts and then
- 27:23Speaker 1: but he was like it go. He was like for
- 27:24Speaker 1: men and women. Yeah, He's like, it's and he was
- 27:27Speaker 1: implying like if I had a friend that had a
- 27:30Speaker 1: high body count, I would look He's like, I would
- 27:31Speaker 1: look him different. Yeah, I'd be like, you're impure. Yeah,
- 27:34Speaker 1: And I was like, fuck, fair enough, Like if that's
- 27:35Speaker 1: how you're raised, and like that's your genuine belief system,
- 27:38Speaker 1: like that is obviously you're fully entitled.
- 27:40Speaker 2: To that completely fine.
- 27:41Speaker 1: Yeah, and so yeah, it's your choice in that matter.
- 27:44Speaker 2: It's interesting we're also finding out like even our point
- 27:46Speaker 2: of view, we obviously believe it, but it's not that
- 27:48Speaker 2: like black and white, like going into the assault or
- 27:51Speaker 2: heartbreak or like whatever the alpha fucking crypto guy or
- 27:56Speaker 2: the religion like mindset. None of it's right or wrong.
- 28:00Speaker 1: It's just like not really.
- 28:01Speaker 2: I guess it's very personalized, individualized, and I guess it's
- 28:07Speaker 2: good to for us to say that. I feel like
- 28:10Speaker 2: a lot of our friends as well get caught in
- 28:13Speaker 2: that out for bloke mentality. I'm glad when we were
- 28:15Speaker 2: turning to these podcasts ort to change down mindsets a lot.
- 28:19Speaker 2: But if we voiced a bit more that it's just
- 28:22Speaker 2: normal to have sex. Yeah, like okay talking about not
- 28:26Speaker 2: black and white. I was just kind of before I
- 28:28Speaker 2: knew we were going to talk about this today, and
- 28:29Speaker 2: I just was like, fucking, I'm just going to go
- 28:31Speaker 2: look out. I just typed into YouTube.
- 28:32Speaker 1: I was like the body count argument, and a bunch
- 28:36Speaker 1: of stuff came up, and I was watching a few
- 28:38Speaker 1: videos and I watched one and it was with a
- 28:42Speaker 1: It was Chris Williamson, and he was interviewing a female
- 28:46Speaker 1: who was of assuming a doctor and something. Can't confirm
- 28:48Speaker 1: nor deny, but I think she was. She sounded like
- 28:52Speaker 1: she what she was talking about, and he asked. He
- 28:54Speaker 1: was like, he said, I have an interest in He
- 28:56Speaker 1: called it part of history jealousy or something like that.
- 29:01Speaker 1: So it's like you get jealous of something in their
- 29:03Speaker 1: history even though you didn't exist in to them yet
- 29:06Speaker 1: what they call it. I think he called it history jealousy.
- 29:08Speaker 1: Oh that's cool.
- 29:09Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, so that's so toxic and.
- 29:12Speaker 1: So he yeah, yeah, he's like having an interest in that.
- 29:14Speaker 1: He's like he's just a Guys really suffer with it, right,
- 29:16Speaker 1: And so he asked her, like, what is it with
- 29:21Speaker 1: mainly men? Some women really caring about a body count?
- 29:25Speaker 1: And she said that this, she said, with men, right,
- 29:29Speaker 1: it's like sometimes men have a pre ah, It's like,
- 29:35Speaker 1: what's it called when you have like something that you
- 29:37Speaker 1: feel a predisposition, a predisposition like where you feel it
- 29:41Speaker 1: deep down. Basically, so they have a predisposition that their
- 29:44Speaker 1: partner's going to hurt them, even though they have shown
- 29:47Speaker 1: no reason that they would hurt them because of this
- 29:49Speaker 1: history thing. So no, no, no, Basically, like some guys
- 29:52Speaker 1: are just like insecure, right, and they go into a relationship.
- 29:55Speaker 1: There's that he could be insecure thinking maybe he's not
- 29:57Speaker 1: good enough, maybe well maybe she's not good enough, blah
- 29:59Speaker 1: blah blah. But like it's quite often men that care.
- 30:01Speaker 1: And so it's like they'll go into it with a
- 30:03Speaker 1: predisposition that the way that this is going to end
- 30:05Speaker 1: is that their partner's going to hurt them. And so
- 30:07Speaker 1: if they've shown no reason during the relationship and no
- 30:11Speaker 1: evidence that that's going to happen, what they look for
- 30:13Speaker 1: is something in the past. So if they have a
- 30:15Speaker 1: high body count, they'll turn that into something where it's
- 30:18Speaker 1: like it matters. They do it all subconsciously, and with women,
- 30:22Speaker 1: they don't actually really care about a high body count.
- 30:25Speaker 1: They more care about past partners. What worries them more
- 30:29Speaker 1: is a past relationship and not a past just like
- 30:34Speaker 1: one night stand, you know what I mean. So that
- 30:36Speaker 1: was one argument, and then to go even further away
- 30:40Speaker 1: from black and white, she's like, if you think about it,
- 30:42Speaker 1: you've got to look at it in a way of
- 30:43Speaker 1: like if someone has like, instead of looking at their
- 30:47Speaker 1: body count, what's their rejection rate? This part, I don't know.
- 30:51Speaker 1: You could question this part a lot, but it was like,
- 30:54Speaker 1: let's say there's a female that's fucking Victoria's secrets, supermodel.
- 31:00Speaker 1: She's got a body count of one hundred, but she's
- 31:02Speaker 1: rejected a thousand her rejection rates for obviously, you're not
- 31:05Speaker 1: going to go to someone and be like, what's your
- 31:06Speaker 1: rejection rate? But you know, or you've got a girl
- 31:08Speaker 1: that is beautiful but hasn't had heaps of attention from men.
- 31:13Speaker 1: She got a BodyCount of five, but she'sn't even approach
- 31:15Speaker 1: five times a rejection rates zero. Like there's so many
- 31:18Speaker 1: different avenues and that one you can really pick apart.
- 31:22Speaker 2: But also going that sort of disputes the out the
- 31:25Speaker 2: bloke's mentality because if a girl's if it's so easy
- 31:29Speaker 2: for a girl to have sex to the one who's
- 31:31Speaker 2: sent in that email, she's had has had sex with
- 31:34Speaker 2: one hundred people. Imagine a thousand people have come up
- 31:36Speaker 2: to her, she's rejected nine hundred and where these the
- 31:38Speaker 2: guy's had twenty.
- 31:39Speaker 1: Five has he's had twenty five chances, and he's taken
- 31:42Speaker 1: twenty five chances. Yeah, you know, it's a funny, funny thing.
- 31:45Speaker 1: And then I watched another one other video of this
- 31:47Speaker 1: dude talking. He's a psych it's called like psychics or something,
- 31:51Speaker 1: and he was like, okay, well, imagine imagine your your
- 31:57Speaker 1: partner has had a BodyCount of twenty five and you
- 32:01Speaker 1: consider that high. Okay, But each one of those twenty
- 32:06Speaker 1: five guys, they made them wait a month to two
- 32:11Speaker 1: months to get to know them before they slept with them.
- 32:13Speaker 1: They had to make sure they had a connection all
- 32:15Speaker 1: that stuff because they valued the action of sex. And
- 32:20Speaker 1: then she tells you all those rules while you're dating
- 32:23Speaker 1: on the first few dates. But then she's so attracted
- 32:26Speaker 1: to you. She's so she's so infatuated by you that
- 32:30Speaker 1: she throws away all those rules that you know about,
- 32:32Speaker 1: and she wants to sleep with you on the second
- 32:33Speaker 1: or third day. And you're like, you'd be like, wow,
- 32:37Speaker 1: you wouldn't give a shit. He's like, guys won't give
- 32:39Speaker 1: a shit about the twenty five number because he knows
- 32:42Speaker 1: that they all those dudes had to work for it.
- 32:44Speaker 1: But I'm so attractive that I don't have to work
- 32:46Speaker 1: for it, So guys like get quite shallow in their mindset.
- 32:49Speaker 1: And then he was like, but if you look at
- 32:51Speaker 1: it this way, what if she has just one past relationship, right,
- 32:56Speaker 1: so she's only had one person she's ever slept with,
- 32:59Speaker 1: but he's a famous athlete, and she's told you stories,
- 33:04Speaker 1: and those stories sound amazing. They had the best time.
- 33:08Speaker 1: You'd think she was a porn star blah blah blah
- 33:10Speaker 1: blah blah. But then with you, it's different. You know
- 33:14Speaker 1: her past relationship with what it was like with this
- 33:16Speaker 1: d one famous athlete that you probably know his name,
- 33:19Speaker 1: you've seen him on TV. But with you, she made
- 33:21Speaker 1: you wait, and with you, the sex is vanilla. That
- 33:25Speaker 1: number one doesn't matter because you know what she's done.
- 33:27Speaker 1: Like you could just pick apart every single thing. Yeah,
- 33:30Speaker 1: and so in the end, it's like doesn't matter.
- 33:34Speaker 2: Well, in the end, all anyone should ever do is
- 33:38Speaker 2: try and get to know the person in front of them,
- 33:40Speaker 2: no matter their past.
- 33:41Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 33:41Speaker 2: Like it's also it's so dumb, like imagine like it's
- 33:44Speaker 2: judging someone like you said when you didn't know the
- 33:47Speaker 2: imagine if they had something traumatic in their past and
- 33:49Speaker 2: like something that's way more important than BodyCount and you're
- 33:52Speaker 2: just like like, oh, so you went through that now
- 33:53Speaker 2: I'm good.
- 33:54Speaker 1: Yeah, it's so shallow, and I think, yeah, I don't know.
- 33:58Speaker 1: I think I'm still intrigued to get I would like
- 34:00Speaker 1: more emails with like with arguments of towyet matters, because
- 34:04Speaker 1: again I want to point out it's everyone's entitled to
- 34:06Speaker 1: their own opinion, and I don't want anyone to take
- 34:08Speaker 1: what we're saying and be like, oh, my boyfriends like
- 34:10Speaker 1: the complete opposite, I need to break up with them,
- 34:12Speaker 1: Like that's not what we want. I think like there's
- 34:14Speaker 1: some guys that maybe haven't heard the arguments that we
- 34:19Speaker 1: could put out there, and if they were to hear it,
- 34:21Speaker 1: like they could change their mind. I know my mind's
- 34:23Speaker 1: been changed, but with multiple things same.
- 34:26Speaker 2: And you know, I think especially in like American media,
- 34:30Speaker 2: they're a lot worse than Australia. And that's what we
- 34:32Speaker 2: consume especially is whatever route your boyfriend or any guys
- 34:36Speaker 2: have ended up on TikTok YouTube or anything like that.
- 34:39Speaker 2: I saw a video of like have you seen Kysonat's
- 34:42Speaker 2: blowing up with like getting celebrities on his streams and stuff.
- 34:45Speaker 2: He got one of his people who when he goes
- 34:47Speaker 2: to sleep, he shouts out everyone and they do like
- 34:49Speaker 2: a motivational thing. Kevin Hart's done it, Drewsky has done it,
- 34:53Speaker 2: John Cen has done it, and this guy did it
- 34:55Speaker 2: and he was completely delusional in himself thinking that like
- 34:59Speaker 2: he was trying to motivate people. And obviously Kevin Hard
- 35:01Speaker 2: did stuff about like finding intrinsic motivation and being finding
- 35:05Speaker 2: yourself before you find money and yeah yeah, but this
- 35:09Speaker 2: guy was he's a young guy and he was completely
- 35:10Speaker 2: delusion on himself, and he said, work on your money
- 35:13Speaker 2: because that's all girls care about, and then you get sex.
- 35:16Speaker 2: He said, he said it in a way and everyone
- 35:18Speaker 2: was like the whole comments were like this guy believes that,
- 35:21Speaker 2: oh he said it.
- 35:22Speaker 1: With pure belief.
- 35:23Speaker 2: He said, you've been trying to motivate, but he wasn't
- 35:25Speaker 2: taking the piss, and then Kayson was looking at him
- 35:27Speaker 2: like what the hell and he's like He's like, props
- 35:29Speaker 2: the ki for making me get earned money, and like
- 35:31Speaker 2: now I'm getting girls because of that. But that's what
- 35:33Speaker 2: the guys fall into. They fall into, like I'm gonna
- 35:36Speaker 2: make a Pyramids game. I'm gonna make money. That's gonna
- 35:38Speaker 2: get me girls. I'm going to have heaps of sex.
- 35:40Speaker 2: That's all that many like eighteen to twenty four year
- 35:42Speaker 2: old guys, that's what they care about. They get in
- 35:44Speaker 2: this little realm of TikTok out for fucking that little
- 35:48Speaker 2: I don't even bubble on the internet that you shouldn't
- 35:50Speaker 2: be on. That's all they consume and they think it's normal.
- 35:52Speaker 2: It's going back to like that pack mentality we talk
- 35:55Speaker 2: about with men, whereas like it's not right, it's not on,
- 35:58Speaker 2: but they think it's right because there's some many people
- 36:00Speaker 2: doing the same thing as them. It's like we've talked
- 36:02Speaker 2: about like cat calling and stuff. It's obviously become normal.
- 36:05Speaker 2: Is completely wrong because a group of guys do it
- 36:07Speaker 2: and no one says anything, and they all like back
- 36:10Speaker 2: each other. And then the young person who's thinking, like
- 36:11Speaker 2: I don't know where I want to do it be
- 36:13Speaker 2: in my life thinks that's normal, or thinks objectifying women
- 36:15Speaker 2: or thinking the caring about BodyCount is normal. There's that
- 36:18Speaker 2: pack mentality that boys fine, and obviously it comes down
- 36:22Speaker 2: stems back to like some deeper thing that underlies from
- 36:24Speaker 2: us fucking hunting back in the day with men and
- 36:27Speaker 2: just being.
- 36:27Speaker 1: Boys, but which is weird. Like also if you think
- 36:30Speaker 1: about it, and a good example you said it yesterday
- 36:33Speaker 1: is like even completely off topic, just more onto the
- 36:37Speaker 1: topic of comparing yourself. It's like when you do the
- 36:40Speaker 1: way the internet works is tricky because when you do
- 36:42Speaker 1: get caught in a bubble, like the algorithm really knows
- 36:44Speaker 1: who you are, Like the algorithm knows you better than
- 36:48Speaker 1: you really know yourself, Like you don't know what you
- 36:49Speaker 1: want because you don't know how many milliseconds you're looking
- 36:53Speaker 1: at something longer than the last thing, But the algorithm
- 36:56Speaker 1: does because it's all fucking genius, you know, and so
- 36:59Speaker 1: like us for instance, like my algorithm is quite a
- 37:04Speaker 1: bit of currently it's a lot of planes, and I
- 37:05Speaker 1: love it, but my algorithm is it's a lot of
- 37:08Speaker 1: it's a lot of podcasts, say in my podcast, and
- 37:11Speaker 1: it's a lot of podcasts. And also but it's a
- 37:12Speaker 1: lot of really big podcasts, right, And we've been told
- 37:16Speaker 1: time and time again, you guys are doing great, you're
- 37:17Speaker 1: doing great, Like you guys are pretty big voweling you've
- 37:20Speaker 1: been in it, and we're like, thank you so much,
- 37:21Speaker 1: thank you so much, And like, I don't think it's
- 37:22Speaker 1: that we don't believe it, but it's that I'm comparing
- 37:25Speaker 1: myself to this up top whereas like we actually have
- 37:32Speaker 1: done pretty good on the scheme of things, but like
- 37:34Speaker 1: we don't feel it because of the yeah, and it's
- 37:36Speaker 1: because that's the world we're in. If we took a
- 37:38Speaker 1: step back and like we weren't in that world, there's
- 37:42Speaker 1: a chance we might feel fucking really like we might
- 37:44Speaker 1: be like we are the top, fucking.
- 37:46Speaker 2: Yeah, with broad spectrm. We talk about it, like he's
- 37:48Speaker 2: saying on Instagram and TikTok, it's the best way to
- 37:52Speaker 2: compare yourself to people who you shouldn't compare yourself to exactly,
- 37:56Speaker 2: Like you get stuck in the realm of if you're
- 37:58Speaker 2: doing six or eight change and you've lost five kilos
- 38:01Speaker 2: and you're obviously still looking like any normal human. You
- 38:03Speaker 2: don't have a six back, and you're a bit fluffy.
- 38:05Speaker 2: And then you see fucking the most ripped girl or
- 38:08Speaker 2: guy who has the skinniest waist in the biggest shoulders.
- 38:10Speaker 2: It edits their photo and then you see that and
- 38:13Speaker 2: you think, fuck, like that wasn't really worth it. I
- 38:16Speaker 2: still look fluffy like that, I'm just going to go
- 38:17Speaker 2: back to my old ways. Why would I fuck have
- 38:19Speaker 2: even wasted? But in reality, you just lost fucking five
- 38:21Speaker 2: kilos in eight weeks and you're doing great, very proud
- 38:24Speaker 2: of yourself. Yeah, they should put like a disclaimer like
- 38:26Speaker 2: they're trying to ban in Australia like sixteen year old kids.
- 38:30Speaker 2: I don't think that's ever going to work, like going
- 38:31Speaker 2: on social media you have to be sixteen.
- 38:33Speaker 1: But I don't know.
- 38:34Speaker 2: They should be like there should be some type of
- 38:36Speaker 2: disclaimer on social media, but saying like just have fun on.
- 38:39Speaker 1: It'll tell you what. It'd be one of those things
- 38:41Speaker 1: there where it's like do you agree to term terms
- 38:43Speaker 1: and conditions and I'm just like, yep, I didn't read them. Yeah,
- 38:46Speaker 1: don't tell me about no disclaimer, get out of my face.
- 38:49Speaker 1: I want to go scroll.
- 38:50Speaker 2: I don't think anything or anyone ever's going to work
- 38:52Speaker 2: because unconsciously we never want to know that. But when
- 38:55Speaker 2: you consciously sit down and think about your kid's future
- 38:57Speaker 2: or anything like that, that's when you do care.
- 38:59Speaker 1: It is.
- 38:59Speaker 2: Yeah, but yeah, it's funny BodyCount social media navigating that
- 39:04Speaker 2: as we get older, and.
- 39:06Speaker 1: Yeah, very very funny.
- 39:07Speaker 2: Yeah, tell you what we need to do from here
- 39:09Speaker 2: is go on to like one of those blokey podcasts.
- 39:12Speaker 2: You obviously don't talk about their feelings. They probably haven't
- 39:14Speaker 2: mentioned bodycout before, but they don't go in depth about it,
- 39:16Speaker 2: and like have a little rebuttal or get some of
- 39:18Speaker 2: their fans to send in their rebuttals about BodyCount. Yeah,
- 39:21Speaker 2: and we'll be like, well, we honestly want to come
- 39:23Speaker 2: from a I want to keep getting email.
- 39:25Speaker 1: Yeah, I want more email.
- 39:26Speaker 2: Open minded mindset, and then like see where people come from.
- 39:29Speaker 1: Yeah, if you agree, send us an email. If you
- 39:31Speaker 1: don't agree, send us an email.
- 39:32Speaker 2: I want to know.
- 39:32Speaker 1: Yeah, like relatable sixty nine at gmail dot com, send
- 39:36Speaker 1: us a fucking email title at body count rebuttal. Yeah,
- 39:38Speaker 1: let's go. If you've made it this far. You really
- 39:47Speaker 1: are a real one, and you want to know who's
- 39:49Speaker 1: not a real one. The person to my left, he
- 39:52Speaker 1: may have said something before we started recording a couple
- 39:54Speaker 1: of days ago when I got it, but I got
- 39:57Speaker 1: a haircut, guys, and he hasn't said a single as
- 40:01Speaker 1: soon as you got it.
- 40:03Speaker 2: That's bullshit.
- 40:04Speaker 1: But it doesn't count if it wasn't on camera. We
- 40:06Speaker 1: know this.
- 40:06Speaker 2: I said it, and you sent me a photo of
- 40:08Speaker 2: yourself and I picked it up. On photo I said,
- 40:11Speaker 2: nice haircut and your mustache is out of shape. That
- 40:13Speaker 2: is a good friend. First photo I saw you with
- 40:16Speaker 2: the new haircut. Yeah, take it back right now.
- 40:18Speaker 1: I can't take it back because you didn't do it
- 40:20Speaker 1: on camera. We have no proof of that transaction.
- 40:23Speaker 2: You know why. I'm also a good friend. I've got
- 40:25Speaker 2: you a scrub daddy and a scrub mummy m waiting
- 40:27Speaker 2: for you.
- 40:28Speaker 1: Got used, No, you got new ones.
- 40:31Speaker 2: Cassie's parents, my girlfriend's parents bought you a mafter listening
- 40:41Speaker 2: sitting at a bag at home. I've got to give
- 40:43Speaker 2: him to you. You can have these. You're a present
- 40:45Speaker 2: for you, man, so you can have them, right.
- 40:47Speaker 1: I'man titled to them.
- 40:49Speaker 2: Just beak you Cassie's parents are be grateful, and your
- 40:52Speaker 2: mustache is still out of shape.
- 40:53Speaker 1: No, it's not. I fucking looked at I trimmed it.
- 40:55Speaker 1: I looked at Beth in the face. I said, it's
- 40:57Speaker 1: in your shape. She said, yes, it's because this side's
- 40:59Speaker 1: a little bit blonde and this sid's dark.
- 41:01Speaker 2: Do you reckon? It's because his face is lopsided.
- 41:03Speaker 1: You know what's actually crazy? And went to the chiropractice
- 41:05Speaker 1: today and I said to him. I was like, dude,
- 41:07Speaker 1: I was like, before I leave, my jaw clicks and
- 41:09Speaker 1: he's like, oh, yeah, one side is really tight, and
- 41:11Speaker 1: I was like, that's so weird. Ever since I started
- 41:12Speaker 1: the podcast, like an editing, I've noticed my face is asymmetrical.
- 41:16Speaker 1: Always been like that, mate, That's why it has always
- 41:18Speaker 1: been like that. But I think he's going to fix it.
- 41:22Speaker 2: I don't know if there's hope. Well, everybody Patre and
- 41:30Speaker 2: five Stars five Stars at the end of the year,
- 41:32Speaker 2: we love. Yeah.
- 41:35Speaker 1: He was like, mass.
- 41:37Speaker 2: That's how to get someone back. I'm going to fix
- 41:39Speaker 2: your face, mate,
