- 0:00Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 0:00Speaker 2: Who's taking students home? People that never been to college.
- 0:03Speaker 2: People that are first generation. Your first generation. People that
- 0:07Speaker 2: parents make forty thousand dollars that they're living on on
- 0:10Speaker 2: the poverty line.
- 0:13Speaker 3: Or even people that's middle class.
- 0:16Speaker 2: They don't even have enough education to be educated, so
- 0:18Speaker 2: they don't they don't really know what what college you
- 0:21Speaker 2: should be going to. They don't know exactly what degree
- 0:24Speaker 2: or earns the most money. It's trial and error. They're
- 0:28Speaker 2: just going off of what they think, what they want,
- 0:30Speaker 2: what they they like the mascot. And it's a debt trap.
- 0:35Speaker 2: And it's it's you're never you're never going to get
- 0:39Speaker 2: the full value out of this degree. So you go
- 0:42Speaker 2: into school for four years, sometimes five. You're racking up fifty,
- 0:47Speaker 2: one hundred, one hundred fifty thousand dollars in student debt.
- 0:51Speaker 2: You get out of school. you can't find a job
- 0:54Speaker 2: or if you find a job, it's going to be nothing.
- 0:56Speaker 1: It's tough. Even people with MBAs are having a tough
- 0:58Speaker 1: time getting jobs.
- 1:00Speaker 2: And then you're going to be paying $ 1, 500 a month
- 1:02Speaker 2: for the next 30 years.
- 1:06Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:07Speaker 4: And truth be told, the student loan crisis should have
- 1:10Speaker 4: caused a collapse in the market, but they keep finding
- 1:14Speaker 4: ways to avoid that disaster. And then tied with the
- 1:18Speaker 4: bond market being in disarray and rates going higher, We're
- 1:23Speaker 4: getting to an inflection point, but that ties into the endowment.
- 1:27Speaker 4: It's tough.
- 1:29Speaker 2: But once again, it's targeted to the most... This is
- 1:31Speaker 2: important for people to understand. It's targeted to the most vulnerable.
- 1:35Speaker 2: This is really predatory lending. It's targeted to the most
- 1:38Speaker 2: vulnerable population that does not have enough education to know
- 1:43Speaker 2: the process of education.
- 1:45Speaker 3: So you're selling dreams. This is kind of like gambling.
- 1:49Speaker 2: You're selling a dream that If you go to college,
- 1:53Speaker 2: this will be a pathway to make money and to
- 1:56Speaker 2: be a successful person.
- 2:00Speaker 4: And once again, we're pro-education, but the financial risk is
- 2:03Speaker 4: higher than it's ever been. And then when this was
- 2:06Speaker 4: being pitched in the 80s and 90s and early 2000s,
- 2:11Speaker 4: some people are walking away from undergrad with $ 290, 000 in debt.
- 2:15Speaker 2: There's way too many colleges right now. And there's way
- 2:19Speaker 2: too many degrees. If it was up to me, I
- 2:24Speaker 2: would combine a bunch of these.
- 2:28Speaker 3: There's no need.
- 2:30Speaker 2: There's no 400 colleges, 500 colleges at the most.
- 2:36Speaker 3: State schools, it should be three state schools in every state. Downstate, midstate, upstate.
- 2:43Speaker 1: But now you get to mess with the endowment money.
- 2:44Speaker 2: Why do you need 100 state schools? Why do you
- 2:47Speaker 2: need 100 state schools in one state? If it's a state,
- 2:50Speaker 2: just think about that. If it's a state school, technically
- 2:53Speaker 2: you should only have one school for the state. All
- 2:56Speaker 2: of the resources, all of the information, all of it
- 2:58Speaker 2: should be.
- 2:59Speaker 3: Okay.
- 2:59Speaker 4: But then you start to have monopolies and then the government...
- 3:02Speaker 4: That's why I said three, three, three. Downstate, mid-state, upstate.
- 3:08Speaker 4: We don't need 70 state schools in one state.
- 3:12Speaker 1: You're starting to mess with the money flow, Rashad. That's
- 3:16Speaker 1: the other part.
- 3:17Speaker 4: The endowment program, booster program, Real estate development, academic grants,
- 3:29Speaker 4: book program. There's a lot of money that funnels through
- 3:32Speaker 4: those channels. Like if you just get time, just go
- 3:36Speaker 4: search up the history of universities and then college and
- 3:41Speaker 4: the money.
- 3:41Speaker 1: That flows through each one. It's really fascinating. So that's,
- 3:45Speaker 1: I mean, it's a great solution.
- 3:47Speaker 4: But in America, you often don't want, going back to
- 3:50Speaker 4: our capitalism conversation with Van and 19 Keys, the correct
- 3:53Speaker 4: solution would to be to do that and shrink the
- 3:56Speaker 4: number of degrees, but then you start to cut off
- 3:58Speaker 4: funding for said departments and programs and the slush fund
- 4:03Speaker 4: isn't as available. So it's interesting to say the least.
- 4:12Speaker 4: Picking up from Monday, I know you said people won't
- 4:15Speaker 4: stop being outside. And there's moderation in chasing women. For
- 4:19Speaker 4: the fellas, what is the moderation and how much time
- 4:24Speaker 4: you should spend on extracurricular activities?
- 4:28Speaker 2: To me, when you broke, you shouldn't be chasing women
- 4:31Speaker 2: at all. But if given, if, once again, I go
- 4:36Speaker 2: back to a strong relationship can help you.
- 4:41Speaker 3: So I was, all right. this whole thing of chasing, find.
- 4:48Speaker 3: I like the word find better. Find, yes.
- 4:50Speaker 1: There we go.
- 4:51Speaker 3: Find one person.
- 4:57Speaker 2: Dating, all of that is a luxury afforded to people
- 5:01Speaker 2: that can afford it. I feel like if you're trying
- 5:06Speaker 2: to figure it out, if you're still struggling, there's nothing
- 5:09Speaker 2: wrong with that. It's going to cost you money, time, energy,
- 5:13Speaker 2: and resources to go on a bunch of dates and
- 5:16Speaker 2: to Going dating abs and to date for a week.
- 5:20Speaker 2: You're not in a position. You know they say cheating
- 5:24Speaker 2: is a rich man's sport. Dating is a rich man's sport, really,
- 5:27Speaker 2: if you really think about it.
- 5:29Speaker 3: Fine.
- 5:30Speaker 1: It's time. Yeah.
- 5:31Speaker 3: Either be by yourself or find a partner and build
- 5:36Speaker 3: with that one partner.
- 5:37Speaker 1: One.
- 5:39Speaker 3: Not multiple people.
- 5:41Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
- 5:42Speaker 3: You're not afforded the luxury of multiple people if you're
- 5:44Speaker 3: still struggling.
- 5:45Speaker 2: I'm not saying this to be condescending. I'm saying this
- 5:48Speaker 2: is just being somebody that actually does care about you
- 5:51Speaker 2: and does love you.
- 5:52Speaker 3: Because everywhere that you've been, I've been. I just chose
- 5:56Speaker 3: to be by myself. Isolation.
- 5:58Speaker 2: I was isolated for a while. I know that that's
- 6:01Speaker 2: not realistic for most people. So if it's not realistic
- 6:04Speaker 2: for most people, then just find that one person that's
- 6:07Speaker 2: really down, that can help you, that's down to struggle
- 6:10Speaker 2: with you, that's down, then y'all can build each other up.
- 6:14Speaker 3: All you need is one. In that situation.
- 6:19Speaker 1: Unless you're a hitmaker.
- 6:21Speaker 3: Well, hitmakers are in different situations.
- 6:25Speaker 2: In that situation, all you need is one.
- 6:32Speaker 3: All you really can do is one. Like I said.
- 6:36Speaker 1: It's time intensive, yo.
- 6:38Speaker 3: The cost of going on a date is damn near rent.
- 6:40Speaker 3: At this point, it was getting insane. Like what rent
- 6:43Speaker 3: was 20 years ago.
- 6:44Speaker 2: Yes.
- 6:45Speaker 3: It's a date today.
- 6:46Speaker 1: For sure. Yes.
- 6:48Speaker 4: Listen, I remember when I was in Bloomington paying $ 500,
- 6:51Speaker 4: $ 495 for the month.
- 6:52Speaker 1: Ooh, the touchdown terrace right across from the stadium. Oh
- 6:56Speaker 1: my God. Never again. Never again.
- 7:00Speaker 4: I remember $ 800, $ 900 rent. Not happening. And for everyone
- 7:04Speaker 4: who keeps saying, yo, I'm not from New York, but
- 7:08Speaker 4: he is. I toured some places. All these places that
- 7:12Speaker 4: y'all can... Saying that you can find $ 1, 200 rent in
- 7:15Speaker 4: New York and Manhattan.
- 7:16Speaker 1: Where?
- 7:17Speaker 2: I don't even respond. I don't even... It's like, bro...
- 7:20Speaker 2: I looked. The internet is such a.
- 7:22Speaker 3: And this... I had to learn this.
- 7:25Speaker 2: I'm not even responding to this stupid shit no more.
- 7:28Speaker 3: Because people are saying... Yo, I see one person say like, yo,
- 7:31Speaker 3: they lying.
- 7:32Speaker 2: The word lying is a very strong word to use.
- 7:34Speaker 2: But they're like, yo, they lying. They don't know what
- 7:36Speaker 2: they talking about. They're like.
- 7:39Speaker 1: I.
- 7:39Speaker 2: I'm not speaking from, I'm speaking from real life experience,
- 7:43Speaker 2: real life experience that I know firsthand.
- 7:47Speaker 3: Firsthand. I had an apartment in Manhattan. I had an
- 7:52Speaker 3: apartment outside the city. I have a house.
- 7:54Speaker 2: Like I'm not going back off with anybody on the internet. I,
- 7:59Speaker 2: I have, I'm qualified to speak on this situation. I
- 8:04Speaker 2: don't know how much the rent is in, you know, uh,
- 8:09Speaker 2: basement apartment in Far Rockaway.
- 8:10Speaker 3: Of course, you're always going to have some level of...
- 8:13Speaker 3: We didn't say... We said Manhattan. We specifically said Manhattan.
- 8:18Speaker 3: And it is what it is.
- 8:19Speaker 2: Like, yeah, of course, you can always try to find,
- 8:21Speaker 2: you know, there's loopholes. I'm just saying, people that usually...
- 8:25Speaker 2: I'm not looking for the loophole and, you know, I'm just...
- 8:28Speaker 2: I need an apartment.
- 8:29Speaker 1: I'm just trying to get an apartment. It's not there
- 8:31Speaker 1: in Jersey. I looked. It's not there in Connecticut.
- 8:35Speaker 3: I'm not. I'm like, people, it's just... People just say anything.
- 8:39Speaker 3: Just say anything. What conviction? Oh, you don't know what
- 8:42Speaker 3: you're talking about.
- 8:42Speaker 2: You can definitely find an $ 800 apartment.
- 8:46Speaker 5: Okay.
- 8:47Speaker 1: Where? Send it to me.
- 8:48Speaker 3: Okay. And if it don't look like coming to America. Exactly.
- 8:51Speaker 3: When an old boy fell down the front stair.
- 8:53Speaker 2: Boy, I got to lie on your application talking about
- 8:56Speaker 2: this for your grandmother, for the rent control.
- 8:58Speaker 3: I'm not doing all of that. But, hey, do what
- 9:00Speaker 3: you want. Do what you want.
- 9:02Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 9:02Speaker 4: I think that's a great lesson the other week. Don't
- 9:04Speaker 4: listen to the bullshit on the internet.
- 9:07Speaker 3: Do what you want.
- 9:08Speaker 1: I don't care.
- 9:09Speaker 6: I don't care.
- 9:10Speaker 3: Do what you want. Waka Flocka, let's show this clip.
- 9:15Speaker 5: Yeah, but why would I not live with my mother? Like,
- 9:17Speaker 5: what makes me less than a man not live with
- 9:19Speaker 5: my mama?
- 9:20Speaker 6: I don't get it. She getting old. Why the fuck
- 9:21Speaker 6: would I leave all the bills on her? All the ideas.
- 9:24Speaker 6: Why would I leave people to hang in my mama's
- 9:25Speaker 6: house and get up under her? Like, no, sir, bro.
- 9:28Speaker 6: I'm going to humble these years. You know what I'm saying?
- 9:30Speaker 5: She in her 60s.
- 9:31Speaker 6: Let me humble these years and get in the house
- 9:32Speaker 6: with all 70 of them. I should stay in here.
- 9:34Speaker 6: Let me get a room back in here. That's how
- 9:36Speaker 6: I feel. I ain't trying to tell people things, but
- 9:38Speaker 6: that's just how I feel. I love my mama, bro.
- 9:40Speaker 6: I love my uncles, my aunties. Once they gone, they gone, bro.
- 9:44Speaker 6: Once they gone, they gone, man.
- 9:45Speaker 3: Y'all had that conversation about you moving back home with her? What?
- 9:48Speaker 6: She can't wait.
- 9:49Speaker 4: Huh?
- 9:50Speaker 6: Oh, she can't wait?
- 9:51Speaker 5: I got a room in the house right now. I
- 9:53Speaker 5: don't even got a house right now. I'm literally remodeling.
- 9:55Speaker 5: I'm at the point in.
- 9:56Speaker 6: Life right now. It's like I'm done.
- 9:59Speaker 5: Like, I love Atlanta, but I'm kind of like, it's
- 10:02Speaker 5: getting to the point where your bill's not expensive. You
- 10:05Speaker 5: want to live in that expensive-ass house instead of moving
- 10:07Speaker 5: in with each other to cut down the bills to
- 10:09Speaker 5: stack money for 12 months.
- 10:11Speaker 6: Why you don't want to live with your girl? Because
- 10:12Speaker 6: you want to bring girls all day. You want to smoke.
- 10:14Speaker 6: You want to do this. But you're too busy thinking
- 10:15Speaker 6: about how a person is looking at you.
- 10:19Speaker 2: Shout out to Walker. He said, living with your mother
- 10:25Speaker 2: is nothing to be ashamed of. He's thinking about moving
- 10:28Speaker 2: in with his mother. Currently doesn't.
- 10:33Speaker 3: Live anywhere, I guess. He's kind of like on his
- 10:35Speaker 3: Kanye flow. Yeah, Kanye, Elon. Floating?
- 10:43Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 10:44Speaker 1: You got a hard.
- 10:48Speaker 4: The part that... Well, first and foremost, I want to
- 10:50Speaker 4: say this. Shout out to Walker, a friend of the show.
- 10:54Speaker 4: Walker's not broke so far. I saw some of them comments.
- 10:57Speaker 1: He fell off. Walker's been in crypto. He's been in stocks.
- 11:01Speaker 1: He got some real estate. That's the other.
- 11:04Speaker 4: maneuver a lot of risk people get off like i'm
- 11:06Speaker 4: not scared to do like when buffett be like i
- 11:08Speaker 4: don't have a private plane i just drive a lincoln
- 11:11Speaker 4: well yeah not in your name you don't i get
- 11:14Speaker 4: you your own fucking net jets okay um but i
- 11:19Speaker 4: i do think even for me like it's getting to
- 11:23Speaker 4: a point for me where i miss having immediate access
- 11:29Speaker 4: to my mother and father So I think it's dope.
- 11:33Speaker 4: Like if he goes back home now, there's another set
- 11:36Speaker 4: of issues of how it's going to work.
- 11:38Speaker 1: Cause in theory, it sounds really good.
- 11:40Speaker 6: Right.
- 11:41Speaker 4: So I think the guest home thing would probably be
- 11:42Speaker 4: like ideal, but I do commend him for wanting to
- 11:46Speaker 4: spend that time because to be very honest, we are
- 11:49Speaker 4: getting older and you only have a certain amount of
- 11:51Speaker 4: time that you are going to be able to have
- 11:53Speaker 4: with your parents.
- 11:53Speaker 1: So I think you should fully appreciate it. But once again,
- 11:58Speaker 1: on the internet, I think it's too much pushback.
- 11:59Speaker 4: And one of the things that social media has done,
- 12:03Speaker 4: Digital devices and apps have replaced quality time with the
- 12:07Speaker 4: people that you love.
- 12:09Speaker 1: So I'm not mad at him for this, but
