Crimes That Pushed The FBI To Their Limit
An elderly woman battling cancer, vanished without a trace. An 86-year-old man and his wife, killed in their own home. A security guard, shot without warning while simply doing her job. In just one week, two killers — a 23-year-old ex-convict and his 16-year-old accomplice — crossed seven states, stealing a new car with every victim they left behind.
This episode traces the 1994 killing spree of Lewis Eugene Gilbert II and Eric Elliott, the nationwide manhunt it triggered, and the single overlooked tip that finally brought it to an end in a drainage ditch outside Santa Fe, New Mexico.
