- 0:16Speaker 1: Welcome to JAGXAM on this Thursday, and honestly evens Brian
- 0:18Speaker 1: Sexton John Osier with you as the Jaguars prepared to
- 0:21Speaker 1: take on the Texans, a big divisional matchup coming up
- 0:24Speaker 1: on Sundays, and we're gonna talk all about that in today's episode.
- 0:27Speaker 1: Let's start out with our Big Things today, brought to
- 0:28Speaker 1: you by GEH Government Employees Health Association benefits for federal
- 0:32Speaker 1: employees and retirees. So Big Thing number one is the
- 0:35Speaker 1: new target Jacobe Myers, acquired at the trade deadline, has
- 0:38Speaker 1: now practiced one practice in the Jaguars so far. Imagine
- 0:41Speaker 1: he'll be playing the Sunday as well against the Texans,
- 0:44Speaker 1: and he's very sure handed that something that GM James
- 0:47Speaker 1: Gladstone said is his superpower. Jacoby Myers hoping he can
- 0:50Speaker 1: be a reliable target for Trevor Lawrence.
- 0:53Speaker 2: I appreciate it, I mean, even if knowing that though
- 0:56Speaker 2: that's been an issue. Seeing them guys work after practice,
- 0:58Speaker 2: work during practice has serious. They take it. It's ball
- 1:01Speaker 2: drills all over, So that's testament to them. Honestly like
- 1:05Speaker 2: they working on it. They getting better every day and
- 1:07Speaker 2: I respect that. So hopefully I could come in and
- 1:09Speaker 2: do my part, and I'll add to the problem.
- 1:12Speaker 3: Brian.
- 1:13Speaker 1: We all know drops been a bit of an issue
- 1:15Speaker 1: for the past few games, maybe the whole season, probably
- 1:18Speaker 1: a little bit. It's nice to have someone surehanden coming
- 1:21Speaker 1: in here that I think can be a reliable person
- 1:23Speaker 1: for Trebor to and give the.
- 1:23Speaker 4: Ball to listen And I, like most people watched him
- 1:26Speaker 4: throughout the practice yesterday and didn't see a ball hit
- 1:28Speaker 4: the ground, which obviously would boost James Gladstone's comments about him.
- 1:33Speaker 4: I also heard from someone who would know yesterday that
- 1:35Speaker 4: he was outstanding from the moment that he walked into
- 1:37Speaker 4: the walkthrough having just arrived. A sharp guy. It's important
- 1:41Speaker 4: to him to be prepared, it's important to him to
- 1:44Speaker 4: play his best. And winning was another theme from him
- 1:46Speaker 4: yesterday that I'd like to hear. He wants to win
- 1:49Speaker 4: football games. John. That certainly helps you when the ball's
- 1:52Speaker 4: coming at you, you know you got to catch it
- 1:54Speaker 4: to win.
- 1:54Speaker 5: Yeah, And he's a pro, And in listening to him
- 1:58Speaker 5: talk to the media, it's clear he'll fit into this
- 2:01Speaker 5: locker room quickly. He kind of joked that they had
- 2:03Speaker 5: just played last week and there was a lot of
- 2:06Speaker 5: trash talking going on between him and I think Jordan
- 2:09Speaker 5: Lewis said later or it was a newsom said later, Yeah,
- 2:14Speaker 5: I get into him with a little bit. Aj Antonio
- 2:18Speaker 5: Johnson did. They were kind of laughing about it, and
- 2:21Speaker 5: you know, he said it got kind of bad, but
- 2:23Speaker 5: all of a sudden, you're here and it's fun. So
- 2:27Speaker 5: he'll fit in. He's going to be a reliable receiver
- 2:31Speaker 5: on the field, which is more important. And you know,
- 2:35Speaker 5: I am very curious to see how much Trevor starts
- 2:38Speaker 5: leaning on him quickly. I think this is going to
- 2:40Speaker 5: be a guy who fits and who makes sense. It
- 2:43Speaker 5: makes his team better.
- 2:44Speaker 1: I think it'll be a quick pickup as well. Let's
- 2:46Speaker 1: go to our second big thing today, which is a
- 2:48Speaker 1: backup issue, and that's because he just Droud is not
- 2:51Speaker 1: gonna be playing in this game. It's going to be
- 2:52Speaker 1: Davis Mills that is the starter for the Texans this week.
- 2:56Speaker 1: John Unfortunately, sometimes when it's the backup, the Jaguar seemed
- 2:59Speaker 1: to have a tougher pro. I know David s Mills
- 3:01Speaker 1: has beaten the Jaguars before. What's the what is it
- 3:04Speaker 1: going to look like this weekend with David Smills's quarterback from.
- 3:07Speaker 5: I've hating that question a lot the other than this week.
- 3:09Speaker 5: You know, why can't the Jaguars beat a backup quarterback?
- 3:12Speaker 5: And I always go back to, well, they haven't meetn
- 3:15Speaker 5: a lot of people in the last fifteen years, so
- 3:18Speaker 5: everybody tries to tie that in. They struggle against everybody,
- 3:21Speaker 5: so I don't think they have up toil your probably
- 3:23Speaker 5: gainst backups. I think with Davis Mills, he's he's a
- 3:28Speaker 5: very good passer. You have to pressure him. I think
- 3:31Speaker 5: the key Brian is going to be they have to
- 3:33Speaker 5: stop the run and make them one dimensional. I think
- 3:35Speaker 5: considering the Jaguars safeties and secondary right now, the health
- 3:38Speaker 5: Davis Mills is going to get his I think the
- 3:41Speaker 5: key is pressuring him and making him make a few mistakes,
- 3:44Speaker 5: get up, and then I think you get the game.
- 3:46Speaker 4: You know, when I see Davis Mills on the field, John,
- 3:48Speaker 4: I remember his win against the Jaguars back in twenty
- 3:52Speaker 4: twenty one. It was the second to last game I
- 3:54Speaker 4: believe of the Urban mier Nobody beat the Jaguars that year. Yeah,
- 3:57Speaker 4: five wins, one of them is against this team. And
- 4:00Speaker 4: yesterday the head coach talked about his arm strength, about
- 4:03Speaker 4: his presence. He's a big guy, he can move on
- 4:05Speaker 4: the run, and he's got excellent targets around him. I mean,
- 4:08Speaker 4: Nico Collins is going to help him. He's going to
- 4:10Speaker 4: get open, so to is Dalton Schultz, who's an excellent
- 4:13Speaker 4: tight end, kind of shifting and finding his way to
- 4:15Speaker 4: the first down marker. You said it earlier, Cody, you
- 4:18Speaker 4: gotta stop the run so that you can attack. This
- 4:22Speaker 4: offensive line has not been good all year, and two
- 4:25Speaker 4: of their starters are in the injury report this week.
- 4:28Speaker 4: It would seem to be the perfect game for the
- 4:30Speaker 4: Jaguars defensive line, John to get a little bit of
- 4:34Speaker 4: traction and get after the quarterback like we haven't seen.
- 4:37Speaker 4: They have a league low ten sacks. I don't know
- 4:39Speaker 4: that they climbed at twenty ninth this week, but perhaps
- 4:42Speaker 4: they can get out of the basement here with a
- 4:44Speaker 4: couple of pressures against Davis Mills.
- 4:48Speaker 5: I hope so.
- 4:49Speaker 1: I mean, Carlin was pretty honest yesterday. He said they
- 4:51Speaker 1: have to just be better about getting to the quarterback.
- 4:53Speaker 1: So hopefully that starts this week. Our final big thing
- 4:55Speaker 1: is going to be keeping it simple, keeping it along
- 4:57Speaker 1: those lines. We saw some success on the offense every
- 5:00Speaker 1: but he started going down. There's a lot of injuries.
- 5:02Speaker 1: They simplified the offense a little bit, and Trevor Lawrence
- 5:04Speaker 1: talked about the success they saw on the second half
- 5:06Speaker 1: and overtime against the Raiders.
- 5:09Speaker 3: There were some more simple calls. I guess throughout the
- 5:12Speaker 3: plants scattered in and I think that might have helped
- 5:14Speaker 3: us just get going and keep us on track. And
- 5:17Speaker 3: I also think the things in the second half that
- 5:20Speaker 3: hurt us in the first half, the penalties and some
- 5:22Speaker 3: of the motion things, we just sharpened up all those
- 5:24Speaker 3: and kind of obviously were sloppy in the first half,
- 5:27Speaker 3: so we were sharper and didn't hurt ourselves, so we
- 5:29Speaker 3: were able to stay on schedule. But it's a cool
- 5:31Speaker 3: feeling when you can run the ball that many times,
- 5:33Speaker 3: and obviously you are expecting to throw it eventually as
- 5:36Speaker 3: a quarterback, and then you just keep running and keep
- 5:38Speaker 3: getting positive yard So I don't care. I mean to
- 5:40Speaker 3: keep running it if they can't stop it. So it
- 5:42Speaker 3: was pretty cool.
- 5:44Speaker 1: Well, Trevor doesn't care, Brian, so I think we should
- 5:45Speaker 1: run it too, because this team is most successful when
- 5:48Speaker 1: they run the football. Well, I think what eight run
- 5:50Speaker 1: plays in a row or something like that in overtime,
- 5:52Speaker 1: and they need to be able to do that against
- 5:54Speaker 1: the Texas.
- 5:55Speaker 4: Listen, it's caveman football, but I love it, especially right
- 5:58Speaker 4: now with so many important players on offense out of
- 6:03Speaker 4: the equation and against the defense that's number one in
- 6:06Speaker 4: the league, and they can really bring it off the
- 6:08Speaker 4: edge with Will Anderson and Denil Hunter. The ability to
- 6:10Speaker 4: run the ball on Sunday is so pivotal. But one
- 6:13Speaker 4: thing I heard in there, and we talk about keeping
- 6:15Speaker 4: it simple, that's not what Liam Cohen's offense is. I mean,
- 6:18Speaker 4: Liam Cohen has had success as an offensive coordinator and
- 6:22Speaker 4: now as a head coach because his offense is complex
- 6:26Speaker 4: and so eventually, and you heard Trevor Lawrence in that
- 6:28Speaker 4: sound bite talk about sharpening things up. Eventually, it's going
- 6:31Speaker 4: to be on the players done to sharpen things up
- 6:33Speaker 4: and not to make the silly, sloppy mistakes like they
- 6:35Speaker 4: did five times in the game against the Raiders. But
- 6:39Speaker 4: on Sunday against the Texans, Sure, keep it simple if
- 6:41Speaker 4: that's what it takes.
- 6:42Speaker 5: Yeah, at some point they're going to find the balance
- 6:46Speaker 5: of simple and Liam Cohen's offense. I think specific to
- 6:50Speaker 5: Sunday The key to remember is it's everybody says run
- 6:54Speaker 5: and you have to run and now to get too
- 6:56Speaker 5: far into the weeds. The key for this team to
- 6:58Speaker 5: run is you have to be balanced enough early, stay
- 7:02Speaker 5: in the game. I don't think this is a team
- 7:04Speaker 5: that can come out and run the first ten plays
- 7:06Speaker 5: of the game and dominate teams. They have to stay
- 7:08Speaker 5: in the game and get to the third and fourth quarter.
- 7:11Speaker 5: They've been good at wearing teams down. They wore the
- 7:13Speaker 5: Raiders down. Stay in the game, have the lead, and
- 7:16Speaker 5: then I think you can dominate the run. Even against
- 7:18Speaker 5: the Texans, who they ran well against in the second half.
- 7:21Speaker 5: I think you can get the run going if you
- 7:22Speaker 5: stick with it, keeping it close.
- 7:24Speaker 1: Say listen, Jagsam, I'm coming up after the break. I'll
- 7:26Speaker 1: check in with one of the Houston Beat reporters to
- 7:28Speaker 1: learn more about the Texans. Jag Zam brought to you
- 7:35Speaker 1: by Field's Auto Groups. See Fields First, Jacksonville's premier luxury autogroup.
- 7:38Speaker 1: Go to Fieldsauto dot Com. Welcome into behind Enemy Lines,
- 7:43Speaker 1: where we check in with a media member from the
- 7:45Speaker 1: opposing team that the Jaguars are facing this week. Since
- 7:48Speaker 1: the Houston Texans this week so we're checking with Jonathan
- 7:50Speaker 1: Alexander from the Houston Chronicle. Jonathan, thanks for joining us.
- 7:53Speaker 1: I know we've played already this year, but it feels
- 7:55Speaker 1: like a lot has changed since Week three.
- 7:57Speaker 6: Yeah. Absolutely, number one for the Texans, they lost c J.
- 8:02Speaker 6: Stroud to a concussion just last Sunday and it's probably
- 8:07Speaker 6: likely that he won't play. Their defense continues to play well.
- 8:11Speaker 6: Their offense gained a little rhythm, but they're very inconsistent,
- 8:15Speaker 6: so it'll be interesting to see which team goes out
- 8:18Speaker 6: there on Sunday.
- 8:18Speaker 1: For them, so CJ. Stroud in concussion protocol, we don't
- 8:21Speaker 1: know what that'll look like. But Davis Mills is the backup.
- 8:23Speaker 1: We saw him a little bit against the Broncos. It
- 8:26Speaker 1: felt like the offense was kind of finally getting going
- 8:28Speaker 1: before CJ went out. You know, the past couple of weeks.
- 8:31Speaker 1: What do you expect to kind of see from the
- 8:32Speaker 1: offense if it is Davis Mills this week?
- 8:35Speaker 6: Yeah, there'd be a lot difficult and it'll probably look
- 8:37Speaker 6: a little bit different, you know, Like you mentioned, you know,
- 8:42Speaker 6: I thought that offense was really coming along even against
- 8:44Speaker 6: the Broncos early in that game. You know, they had
- 8:47Speaker 6: a great game against the forty nine ers and it
- 8:48Speaker 6: started to carry over. I think you'll probably see an
- 8:51Speaker 6: emphasis on the running game a little bit more, try
- 8:54Speaker 6: to open up things for Davis Mills. Davis Mills will
- 8:58Speaker 6: probably do a lot of short passes until things open
- 9:01Speaker 6: up deep down field, and that's the whole. I do
- 9:05Speaker 6: think Davis Mills, though, will be a little bit better
- 9:07Speaker 6: prepared having no week to prepare rather than kind of
- 9:10Speaker 6: coming in. They don't give him a lot of plays
- 9:12Speaker 6: when he's not starting, and now the focus will be
- 9:15Speaker 6: on him, and I think he'll be a little bit
- 9:17Speaker 6: better prepared.
- 9:18Speaker 1: Now.
- 9:18Speaker 6: Whether that turns into a big three for the Texans,
- 9:20Speaker 6: you know, we don't know. It depends on how much
- 9:24Speaker 6: that Jaguars defense is hunting.
- 9:27Speaker 1: For the Jaguars defense, a lot of it was takeaways.
- 9:30Speaker 1: Earlier in the season. They haven't had as many, But
- 9:34Speaker 1: it feels like the Texans defense has always been so
- 9:36Speaker 1: dominant and they've continued that going forward. How have they
- 9:39Speaker 1: been able to kind of maintain that success even with
- 9:42Speaker 1: the offense not being so good until maybe recently.
- 9:45Speaker 6: Yeah, I think early on they didn't really have a
- 9:47Speaker 6: lot of takeovers, but takeaways, I'm sorry but recently they've
- 9:52Speaker 6: started to have an uptake in that I think their
- 9:55Speaker 6: secondary is playing a lot better.
- 9:57Speaker 1: You know.
- 9:58Speaker 6: I think it was before the or right after the
- 10:01Speaker 6: Jaguars game. They ended up cutting CJ. Gardner Johnson, and
- 10:05Speaker 6: I believe that helped out with the communication. Garner Johnson
- 10:08Speaker 6: was the new piece on that defense, and now they've
- 10:12Speaker 6: gotten guys who are a little bit more familiar, who
- 10:14Speaker 6: have played with each other for a number of years now,
- 10:18Speaker 6: and the defensive line Will Ampson Junior and Daniel Hunter
- 10:22Speaker 6: are having good games now. I think the biggest thing, though,
- 10:24Speaker 6: is that Texans have started to stop the run a
- 10:27Speaker 6: lot better than they had early in the season, and
- 10:29Speaker 6: I think that's continued to help them to flourish.
- 10:33Speaker 1: What's the mentality of the team right now? Obviously I
- 10:35Speaker 1: know CJ's hurt, but three and five obviously not where
- 10:38Speaker 1: they want to be. But going in, the Jaguars feel
- 10:40Speaker 1: like this is a huge game for them. I have
- 10:41Speaker 1: to imagine the Texans are feeling similarly.
- 10:44Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean, obviously a lot of guys are upset
- 10:47Speaker 6: that they lost that first match up to their division rival,
- 10:50Speaker 6: the Jaguars. They want to win. They're a very close team.
- 10:55Speaker 6: You know, I don't think we'll see them give up
- 10:59Speaker 6: on the season or anything like that. And the defense
- 11:02Speaker 6: pretty much knows that they're the top defense in the
- 11:05Speaker 6: NFL and they want to continue to prove that, so,
- 11:08Speaker 6: you know, I think they're going to give their best.
- 11:11Speaker 6: I think other guys outside when it comes to the offense,
- 11:13Speaker 6: I think other guys are going to have to step
- 11:16Speaker 6: up and show their worth because they're missing a huge
- 11:20Speaker 6: piece without CJ. Stroud.
- 11:23Speaker 1: Do you have a name or two that's an X
- 11:24Speaker 1: factor for you going into this game if the Texans
- 11:26Speaker 1: want to get a win that need to play well.
- 11:29Speaker 6: Yeah, I think it absolutely has to be two guys.
- 11:32Speaker 6: I think Nico Collins, of course, he's their best playmaker
- 11:36Speaker 6: on offense. And I think it's Woody Marks, the running back,
- 11:40Speaker 6: the Ricky running back. When he has really good games,
- 11:43Speaker 6: this offense is exploding and he has big playability. But
- 11:46Speaker 6: when he stopped, you know, they struggle as a offense.
- 11:50Speaker 6: So I think Woody Marks and Nico Collins are the
- 11:52Speaker 6: big guys who must have big games.
- 11:54Speaker 5: Great.
- 11:55Speaker 1: Thanks Jonathan, We'll see you on Sunday.
- 11:57Speaker 6: Thanks for having me.
- 11:58Speaker 1: That was behind enemy lines with Jonathan Alexand from a
- 12:00Speaker 1: Houston Chronicle. The Jaguars and Texans face off on Sunday.
- 12:03Speaker 1: Coming up after the break, We're going to tell you
- 12:05Speaker 1: what we think the headlines are going to be on Monday.
- 12:11Speaker 1: Sets Moving and Storage floors most trusted and dependable moving companies.
- 12:14Speaker 1: Set is proud to be the official moving company in
- 12:16Speaker 1: the Jacksonville Jaguars get a guarantee co visit setuth dot
- 12:19Speaker 1: com slash Jacksonville. Welcome back to jag am and welcome
- 12:26Speaker 1: to the future. We're going to do our best to
- 12:27Speaker 1: predict what the headlines are going to be on Monday morning.
- 12:30Speaker 1: So Brian, when you're looking ahead, what do you think
- 12:32Speaker 1: the headlines will say?
- 12:33Speaker 4: Saddle up, let's ride. This is not just to use
- 12:37Speaker 4: the Western theme, but this is a game where you
- 12:40Speaker 4: want to impose your will on this Texans team. Tough
- 12:44Speaker 4: to do against a great defense, but I think you've
- 12:46Speaker 4: just got to keep hammering the running game to set
- 12:50Speaker 4: up the passing game. And I know John talked a
- 12:52Speaker 4: little bit about that being the reverse, and I understand that,
- 12:55Speaker 4: but this week, in particular, with the quarterback in the
- 12:57Speaker 4: situation with a new receiver, without Brian, Tom Junior without
- 13:01Speaker 4: Breton Strange still maybe with a new starter at left guard.
- 13:05Speaker 4: I just think you keep it simple and run the ball.
- 13:07Speaker 4: And here's the other twist to this thing. You can
- 13:09Speaker 4: really do some damage to the Houston Texans on Sunday
- 13:12Speaker 4: if you beat them. There's a couple of teams that
- 13:15Speaker 4: are sitting around. You're five and three, Chiefs are five
- 13:17Speaker 4: and four, Ravens are sitting back. They've got the quarterback
- 13:20Speaker 4: back at three and five. You can push this team,
- 13:23Speaker 4: this Texans team away from the playoffs with a win.
- 13:26Speaker 4: So let's have the mentality of going and pounding them
- 13:28Speaker 4: on Sunday and coming away with a one point wins
- 13:32Speaker 4: all it takes, right, we learned that last week. But
- 13:35Speaker 4: a win in which you show them we're the more
- 13:38Speaker 4: physical team this week.
- 13:39Speaker 5: Yeah, I think they're gonna do that.
- 13:41Speaker 1: Ryan.
- 13:42Speaker 5: My only point is I think it's gonna be the
- 13:43Speaker 5: third or fourth quarter where you see it.
- 13:45Speaker 4: Sure take effect.
- 13:47Speaker 5: So I absolutely agree with you if they're gonna I
- 13:50Speaker 5: would be surprised if the Jaguars win if they don't
- 13:54Speaker 5: have a feeling in the fourth quarter that they're controlling
- 13:57Speaker 5: the line of scrimmage, if that makes sense. They had
- 13:58Speaker 5: it here three, and when they've played well this season,
- 14:03Speaker 5: they've had that.
- 14:03Speaker 4: And I think you talk about all the stars on
- 14:06Speaker 4: that Texans defense, you talk about Anderson and Daniel Hunter
- 14:10Speaker 4: and obviously the corner Stingley, but those two tackles, Sheldon
- 14:15Speaker 4: Rankins and Tim Settles, they're really good football players. I
- 14:18Speaker 4: mean they're not dominant all pro kind of guys, but man,
- 14:21Speaker 4: they make it really tough. So I'm looking at that.
- 14:23Speaker 4: I'll take the third quarter, I'll take the fourth quarter, whatever.
- 14:26Speaker 4: I just want to see that physical style of play
- 14:28Speaker 4: that the Jaguars, you so effectively kind in the first
- 14:30Speaker 4: month of the season, come back to them in the
- 14:33Speaker 4: month of November, which, as you know well, is when
- 14:35Speaker 4: the pretenders and contenders separate. If you're going to be
- 14:38Speaker 4: a contender this year, you better be able to play
- 14:40Speaker 4: that kind of ball.
- 14:42Speaker 5: I went with somehow, some way, and I guess when
- 14:48Speaker 5: I watched this game, I had Parker Washington as the
- 14:53Speaker 5: person on the paper. If you will, it's gonna be
- 14:59Speaker 5: guys the rest to the season who you didn't necessarily
- 15:02Speaker 5: expect early in the season making plays. Parker Washington is
- 15:06Speaker 5: now the number one receiver, and we all thought that
- 15:08Speaker 5: would be the case in April. So I think if
- 15:12Speaker 5: this team's going to win, it's going to win in
- 15:15Speaker 5: fashions where people at the end of the game go
- 15:18Speaker 5: how they do that well because somebody like Parker Washington
- 15:21Speaker 5: or Jacobe Myers or Antonio Johnson, guys who are being
- 15:27Speaker 5: forced to step up. I don't think it's going to
- 15:28Speaker 5: be a blowout Sunday. Think they're going to figure out
- 15:30Speaker 5: a way to make something weird happen at the end.
- 15:33Speaker 5: I think it's going to be a weird good team
- 15:35Speaker 5: this year.
- 15:35Speaker 4: You know what I think was buccalt. What was interesting
- 15:38Speaker 4: yesterday was Josh Allen was talking about the guys who
- 15:41Speaker 4: were making plays for them against the Raiders, and he
- 15:44Speaker 4: was talking about the contending board in the Iron Jag
- 15:47Speaker 4: games that they did in the offseason, and if you
- 15:49Speaker 4: haven't seen that, go back and watch that episode of
- 15:51Speaker 4: the Hunt, which you can find on the YouTube channel
- 15:54Speaker 4: shameless plug there. But he said it was the guys
- 15:57Speaker 4: that he knew he had to count on and went
- 16:00Speaker 4: right back to his mind, they were the guys that
- 16:02Speaker 4: were the most competitive. They were the guys that were
- 16:05Speaker 4: at the very top of the leader boards during those
- 16:07Speaker 4: Iron Jag games. That meant the most to them. So
- 16:09Speaker 4: the guys that you're talking about are guys that the
- 16:11Speaker 4: Jaguars feel confident in because they're competitors. They're top competitors,
- 16:15Speaker 4: and that matters in every situation. Kay, they want to
- 16:18Speaker 4: find a way to win, even if they're only on
- 16:20Speaker 4: the field for five or six plays, they want to
- 16:22Speaker 4: win each one.
- 16:23Speaker 5: I think you're gonna have a lot of games where
- 16:25Speaker 5: if a if a player in the last five minutes,
- 16:28Speaker 5: like if somebody goes away from the game, they're gonna
- 16:31Speaker 5: come back after the game. But who won a Jaguars
- 16:34Speaker 5: one because they did? Like, I think it's gonna be
- 16:35Speaker 5: that sort of where you don't have a vibe during
- 16:38Speaker 5: the game of this team's dominating, but this team is
- 16:42Speaker 5: good at the end of games and they're clutch and
- 16:45Speaker 5: they keep fighting. So I think I think I think
- 16:48Speaker 5: they can punch their way to the playoffs this year.
- 16:50Speaker 1: Yeah, Puncher's chance.
- 16:52Speaker 4: I like it.
- 16:53Speaker 1: I went a little bit different. I went kind of
- 16:55Speaker 1: the Texans end of this because I want h Town down.
- 16:58Speaker 1: I think this is a huge opportunity. We came into
- 17:00Speaker 1: the season. You know, the Texans have won the past
- 17:02Speaker 1: couple of years. It was their division. They're on a
- 17:05Speaker 1: spot right now with as many injuries as they have.
- 17:08Speaker 1: I mean, we've been talking about our team being injured.
- 17:10Speaker 1: They've got maybe ten, close to ten starters on the
- 17:13Speaker 1: injury report. We already know CJ. Stroud isn't gonna play,
- 17:16Speaker 1: and I can feel the the blood is in the
- 17:18Speaker 1: water a little bit. And this is a huge opportunity
- 17:20Speaker 1: for the Jaguars to go in sweep them for the
- 17:23Speaker 1: first time since twenty seventeen, Briand, is.
- 17:24Speaker 2: That what you're saying?
- 17:25Speaker 4: Correct?
- 17:25Speaker 1: Sweep the Texans? And I played Mortal Kombat as a kid,
- 17:29Speaker 1: and like when you're almost about to win and they're like,
- 17:31Speaker 1: finish him. This is the opportunity. You gotta finish it,
- 17:35Speaker 1: get a win over them and assert yourself in this division.
- 17:38Speaker 1: Obviously the Cults are a different position right now, but
- 17:40Speaker 1: you're gonna get to them later in the season, and
- 17:42Speaker 1: this can be a statement game as well as a
- 17:44Speaker 1: really important win for them.
- 17:45Speaker 4: I didn't see you as a Moratal Kombat.
- 17:46Speaker 5: I have aged out of this shit. That was the
- 17:49Speaker 5: coolest headline, the coolest prediction segment. I couldn't hope to
- 17:53Speaker 5: touch it. I may as well just be the old guy.
- 17:55Speaker 1: Now I'm gonna bring in some moretals a play. I
- 17:58Speaker 1: love it all right, stay with us with what's coming

- 19:38Speaker 1: enjoyable to listen to it.
- 19:40Speaker 4: Not to dismissed the pressent because I'm excited about the president,
- 19:42Speaker 4: but when I get excited about the future of this franchise,
- 19:45Speaker 4: it's because they're drafting guys like that in the seventh round,
- 19:48Speaker 4: Guys that are they just love to play the game.
- 19:52Speaker 1: And he's the signs of Max Crosby chip them all day.
- 19:53Speaker 1: He was so excited, which he loves. When your right
- 19:57Speaker 1: mind is excited.
- 19:58Speaker 4: To go to Max.
- 20:00Speaker 5: No, he's a fun he's a fun guy, and he
- 20:02Speaker 5: has the right attitude and he's coming. I mean, you know,
- 20:05Speaker 5: not to get two into the weeds. From day one,
- 20:08Speaker 5: this kid was confident that he belonged here.
- 20:11Speaker 1: Uh and he's right, yeah, absolutely alright, So enjoy the
- 20:14Speaker 1: game this weekend. We will be back on Monday to
