- 0:00Speaker 1: Coming up on Relatables. Do you think the nice worker
- 0:04Speaker 1: at McDonald's thought you said have a happy day? I
- 0:09Speaker 1: clearly said have a McHappy day.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Mick was a little bit of del You don't try
- 0:13Speaker 2: it the delivery of Mick. Stop chatting and try it.
- 0:17Speaker 1: Oh shit. The Relatables podcast is hosted by myself, Audie
- 0:32Speaker 1: Clark aka Mummy, and my partner in crime, Jack Craig.
- 0:37Speaker 1: Mister daddy. That's fucking god. Everybody listening is the Baddies.
- 0:43Speaker 1: Thanks for tuning you once again to the Relatables. Yes,
- 0:46Speaker 1: thank you very much. Oh we quickly. I'm excited, quickly
- 0:49Speaker 1: before he does his thing. He's excited to have the
- 0:52Speaker 1: top of the episode.
- 0:53Speaker 3: But we last week were talking about orchestras and we
- 0:59Speaker 3: were like, is it an orchestrator?
- 1:00Speaker 1: Is it called an orchestra? What is it? And then
- 1:02Speaker 1: we convinced ourselves that it's an orchestrator.
- 1:04Speaker 3: Jake convinced me, and we also convinced ourselves we could
- 1:07Speaker 3: do it. Yeah, so I'm still convinced I could do it.
- 1:10Speaker 1: I know what it's called.
- 1:11Speaker 3: But but but we've learnt from a message from a
- 1:14Speaker 3: kind listener, and it is called a conductor.
- 1:19Speaker 1: And I knew that. How did we not put two
- 1:21Speaker 1: and two together? I don't know. I'm going to justify
- 1:23Speaker 1: it by saying, sometimes we get in our heads trying
- 1:25Speaker 1: to think really quickly orchestrated, like.
- 1:28Speaker 3: Yeah, what I think is like I think we get
- 1:29Speaker 3: in our heads and we're like we need the topic
- 1:31Speaker 3: and needs to move on.
- 1:31Speaker 1: Yeah, so like.
- 1:32Speaker 3: Orchestrator it is.
- 1:35Speaker 1: I think that should call it an orchestraer. We're not
- 1:37Speaker 1: even wrong here a train driver. Seriously, you're not a fucker.
- 1:41Speaker 1: You're not conducting ship. You're an orchestrator's like a whistle,
- 1:44Speaker 1: like we go you you're not a train driver. Oh
- 1:49Speaker 1: but how I wanted to start the episode today, Jake.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Last week we found out that I've got some game,
- 1:57Speaker 1: so I wanted to keep testing my abilities. But this
- 2:01Speaker 1: time I wanted to use the help of technology. I've
- 2:05Speaker 1: seen a lot of I don't go to UNI, you
- 2:06Speaker 1: don't go to UNI, but a lot of people use
- 2:08Speaker 1: this new thing called chat GBT. Yeah, let's go. We
- 2:12Speaker 1: can answer any question you ask it. It's quite helpful. Really,
- 2:14Speaker 1: it's pretty cool.
- 2:15Speaker 3: Like I've I've fucked around with it for a bit.
- 2:17Speaker 1: But did you think you could get your girls. No.
- 2:22Speaker 1: So what I've done is I've used chat GBT to
- 2:26Speaker 1: reply to my girlfriend's text and see if she noticed it. All.
- 2:31Speaker 1: Oh god, I'm like kind of nervous. So I went,
- 2:36Speaker 1: so we need context for what my girlfriend's doing, so
- 2:38Speaker 1: it makes sense, okay, as of texting her, she was
- 2:41Speaker 1: in Melbourne seeing her sister and she just got there
- 2:44Speaker 1: that day. For context, okay, okay, So I said to
- 2:47Speaker 1: chat GBT, the conversation with my girlfriend had pittled out,
- 2:50Speaker 1: so I was just waiting for a perfect moment to
- 2:52Speaker 1: say it. So I said to chat GBT, can I
- 2:54Speaker 1: please have one conversation starter? And chat GBT said, what's
- 2:59Speaker 1: one thing you're looking forward to this week that's good
- 3:02Speaker 1: for being in Melbourne? And so that's what I said.
- 3:05Speaker 1: My girlfriend's response was this week coming, interesting question. You
- 3:10Speaker 1: never asked me that enjoy Melbourne? See my boyfriend on Wednesday?
- 3:16Speaker 1: What about you? Pretty good so far? And what I
- 3:20Speaker 1: did is I copied all my girlfriend's responses and put
- 3:22Speaker 1: them into chap GBT and said, how would you respond
- 3:25Speaker 1: to this if you've got these texts? Yeah, so this
- 3:28Speaker 1: is chat gbt's response. Sounds like a fun trip I'm
- 3:31Speaker 1: looking forward to seeing you when you get back from Melbourne.
- 3:33Speaker 1: Have a great time. What's been your highlight of your
- 3:36Speaker 1: trip so far? Pretty good? Fucking and saying, she says,
- 3:41Speaker 1: pookies together. I mean, I haven't done much yet. She
- 3:44Speaker 1: landed like two hours before. Go to breakfast in this
- 3:47Speaker 1: city at the moment, just leaving a Da Vinci exhibit
- 3:50Speaker 1: which was really cool, and getting dinner with Sky at
- 3:52Speaker 1: seven and same thing again. I put in chat GBT
- 3:56Speaker 1: the responses and Chap GBT replied that sounds like a
- 3:58Speaker 1: lovely day. The Da Vinci exhibit must have been fascinating.
- 4:05Speaker 1: Enjoy your dinner with Sky. What was your favorite part
- 4:08Speaker 1: of the exhibition? Oh? Okay, getting in detail. We're getting
- 4:11Speaker 1: in detail now, she goes, It was actually really cool.
- 4:14Speaker 1: We were there for a while. The big room with
- 4:17Speaker 1: the screens was a vibe. Why are you asking me
- 4:19Speaker 1: so many questions and being so nice? Why are you
- 4:23Speaker 1: being so nice? Is your girlfriend's gonna ask you that
- 4:26Speaker 1: there there's something wrong? Same thing again, ask you, GBT,
- 4:29Speaker 1: what to say? I'm glad you enjoyed it. The room
- 4:31Speaker 1: of the screen sounds amazing. Just curious about your day
- 4:35Speaker 1: and missing you can't wait to see you when you
- 4:37Speaker 1: get back. Dude, this is kind of like good. This
- 4:41Speaker 1: is good. She goes, yeah, I'm pretty tired now, just
- 4:43Speaker 1: going to chill for a bit before dinner. It's so
- 4:45Speaker 1: cold day, Just curious. You'll never like this? Are you okay?
- 4:49Speaker 1: Or do you miss me? See you in two days?
- 4:54Speaker 1: Same thing again. Chat gbt's responses. I can imagine how
- 4:58Speaker 1: trying it must be after such an event full day.
- 5:00Speaker 1: I hope you have some good rest before dinner. I
- 5:03Speaker 1: do miss you a lot too. I'm really looking forward
- 5:05Speaker 1: to seeing you in two days. And then she goes,
- 5:09Speaker 1: she has to be catching on the some just tired
- 5:11Speaker 1: from getting up early, got a snack, and I'm about
- 5:13Speaker 1: to be in a potato mood. I miss you too.
- 5:15Speaker 1: How will you survive? About me? How are you? And
- 5:18Speaker 1: this is where I left it? And she still doesn't
- 5:21Speaker 1: know that I used you left it there and she
- 5:24Speaker 1: messaged me after and she goes, I started talking normally,
- 5:27Speaker 1: and she goes, why are you being so nice to me?
- 5:29Speaker 1: I really liked it. Oh, and you haven't told her
- 5:32Speaker 1: nor I thought you would have at least told her
- 5:41Speaker 1: after you had done. She's gonna so Cassie, if you're listening,
- 5:45Speaker 1: I'm sorry. Oh so I'm in the good books and
- 5:50Speaker 1: I see her tonight and she won't know too next week.
- 5:52Speaker 1: So she got back from Melbourne last night. Oh so
- 5:57Speaker 1: she got back.
- 5:57Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 6:00Speaker 1: Stop. But to be fair, there's been plenty of occasions
- 6:04Speaker 1: where there's boys or even girls gathered around the phone
- 6:07Speaker 1: trying to think of something to say. Yeah, let's just
- 6:09Speaker 1: go on chat EBT, plug in the answers, let's go,
- 6:13Speaker 1: and then you have Bobs, your uncle, you've got yourself,
- 6:15Speaker 1: a girlfriend, you know. Okay, you've inspired me.
- 6:18Speaker 3: We've got I've got until next week to do that,
- 6:21Speaker 3: all right, So I'm gonna do I'm doing this, all right,
- 6:24Speaker 3: I am doing this.
- 6:25Speaker 4: I was.
- 6:26Speaker 1: I was doing it at the gym and I was
- 6:27Speaker 1: laughing at because you just kept going on with it.
- 6:30Speaker 1: Oh you think so nice. I know. I'm going to
- 6:32Speaker 1: try and I'm going to think of some good little
- 6:35Speaker 1: actions to say the GPS to chat. Yeah, you need
- 6:37Speaker 1: to put in like a little bit, mess with it
- 6:39Speaker 1: a little bit to make it what you want. But
- 6:40Speaker 1: it was fun. At fuck, that's so good. Okay.
- 6:52Speaker 3: We actually this was requested while we were doing a
- 6:55Speaker 3: live stream. Was it first ever live stream. We were
- 6:58Speaker 3: it was requested the people. The people wanted more cheating
- 7:01Speaker 3: not cheating. Oh so that's good. I think we do
- 7:04Speaker 3: it too much.
- 7:04Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 7:06Speaker 3: So we've gone and we've let the Instagram vote for
- 7:10Speaker 3: these ones changed up a bit. I love these ones. Okay,
- 7:12Speaker 3: so I will be our Instagram followers voted on these
- 7:16Speaker 3: cheating not cheatings. But I'm going to ask you what
- 7:17Speaker 3: you think and let you know if you're right or
- 7:19Speaker 3: wrong due to the majority cheating not cheating from the people.
- 7:22Speaker 3: From the people. Okay, So cheating or not cheating getting
- 7:27Speaker 3: coffee or lunch with the other gender. Cheating percentage seventy three.
- 7:37Speaker 1: Not cheating, Isn't that crazy? Coffee? Oh mate, mate, I'll
- 7:41Speaker 1: be disgusted. You may well kiss me. Stuff the coffee.
- 7:46Speaker 1: Let's take me back to my room.
- 7:48Speaker 4: Who cheating?
- 7:51Speaker 1: That's crazy. That is disgusting. I think that's crazy. Okay,
- 7:56Speaker 1: I'm just going to start asking some girls on the
- 7:58Speaker 1: street to go get coffee with me. Facts, well, it's
- 8:00Speaker 1: not cheating. Yeah, this is your proof.
- 8:02Speaker 3: Yeah, asking another girl's opinion on his outfit.
- 8:09Speaker 1: Cheating sixty six. Not cheating is crazy asking. So I'm
- 8:16Speaker 1: going on a date with my girlfriend. I have a
- 8:19Speaker 1: girl best friend. I'm like, can you what do you
- 8:21Speaker 1: think of my outfit? And she goes, oh, you need
- 8:23Speaker 1: to change the shoes, And then I go on my date.
- 8:25Speaker 1: How is that not cheating? This is crazy?
- 8:28Speaker 3: The girly pops in the fucking Instagram.
- 8:31Speaker 1: That's gotta the plank. They're pranking us, They're pranking us.
- 8:35Speaker 1: How can they be pranking us as a three hundred
- 8:36Speaker 1: thousand collective. Yeah, it's nice, little flex, but that's.
- 8:40Speaker 3: What there's so many people to fuck it. Okay, letting
- 8:46Speaker 3: the opposite gender buy you a drink on a night out.
- 8:50Speaker 1: Okay, Okay, this one's tricky because I'm all for if
- 8:55Speaker 1: my girl gets a free drink, take it and run. So
- 8:58Speaker 1: I'm going to say it's going to be fifty to
- 9:01Speaker 1: fifty not cheating, fifty seventy percent not cheat. Yeah, at
- 9:07Speaker 1: least I got it right. You got it right. I
- 9:09Speaker 1: got it right. See see anything for free drinks, as
- 9:13Speaker 1: long as it doesn't feel guilty, cheating or.
- 9:16Speaker 3: Not cheating, still following your ex on ig, I'm gonna
- 9:22Speaker 3: say I'm going to take the healthy approach here, not cheating. Okay,
- 9:27Speaker 3: six oh seventy one percent not cheating. Yeah, none of
- 9:32Speaker 3: this shit's cheating are listening maturity.
- 9:35Speaker 1: That one's the only one that I would agree with
- 9:36Speaker 1: so far.
- 9:36Speaker 3: Okay, okay, okay, cheating or not cheating? Someone asks you out,
- 9:43Speaker 3: you decline, but you don't tell them you have a boyfriend.
- 9:47Speaker 1: Oh oh, it's disrespectful. But how that's situational? Do you
- 9:55Speaker 1: have to tell them you have a boyfriend? I just think, no,
- 9:57Speaker 1: you don't have to like explain their life. I'm like, no,
- 9:59Speaker 1: I'm again. You just say, yeah, I'm going to say
- 10:01Speaker 1: not cheating, not cheating seventy it's eighty two percent not cheating. Yeah,
- 10:04Speaker 1: as long as you did decline, you don't have to
- 10:06Speaker 1: tell me.
- 10:06Speaker 3: Last story Yeah yeah, yea, yeah yeah, Okay, this one
- 10:09Speaker 3: I think is going to get you cheating or not cheating,
- 10:13Speaker 3: falling asleep, cuddling a stuffed animal. Her guy best friend
- 10:18Speaker 3: got her.
- 10:23Speaker 1: My immediate answer, say how you feel, say with chest
- 10:27Speaker 1: on cheating seventy five percent, don't say it not cheating. Bro,
- 10:37Speaker 1: that's fucked up. I think that's fucked up. That guy,
- 10:40Speaker 1: my best friend got you. So when I'm not there,
- 10:42Speaker 1: you're hugging him pretty much basically I'd be burning that.
- 10:45Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, that thing would be in the dirt,
- 10:49Speaker 1: rubbing that in the dirt. Here, take it back now,
- 10:52Speaker 1: I'd make it stink.
- 10:53Speaker 3: Give it to the dog, you know what i'd do.
- 10:56Speaker 3: But there's this poop spray that you can buy it
- 10:59Speaker 3: squat great, keep me chucking it out.
- 11:01Speaker 1: Hug it now. Yeah, that's probably got a fucking new one.
- 11:04Speaker 1: Yeah you would too. Probably hasn't lined up waiting for
- 11:06Speaker 1: every time she breaks up with her boyfriend. He's a
- 11:08Speaker 1: new stuff toymade fat. That's what's happening.
- 11:11Speaker 3: She has this whole collection of jelly cats she sleeps
- 11:14Speaker 3: with every night.
- 11:16Speaker 1: Jesus Christ. Cheating or not cheating?
- 11:19Speaker 3: Sharing UNI nototes when they missed class guying a girl obviously.
- 11:28Speaker 1: Sharing a UNI notes not cheating.
- 11:34Speaker 3: Not cheating ninety eight is fucking crazy.
- 11:39Speaker 1: Okay, girl's gonna learn, mate, you know what they missed class?
- 11:43Speaker 1: They were fucking They both need the notes? Okay. Cheating
- 11:50Speaker 1: or not cheating?
- 11:51Speaker 3: Getting a lift home from UNI with a guy from class?
- 11:57Speaker 1: What UNI means? You're like eighteen class?
- 12:00Speaker 4: Like?
- 12:00Speaker 1: Why cheating? Not cheating? What the fuck is going on?
- 12:07Speaker 1: I'm going to be Devil's advocate here and assume that
- 12:11Speaker 1: a lot of people in Sydney don't own a car.
- 12:14Speaker 1: But here, that's wild public transport here, that's wild. Question.
- 12:20Speaker 1: That's carpool maybe uned his platonic mate, just friends.
- 12:24Speaker 3: But once you start carpooling, you start stopping for coffee dates. Yeah,
- 12:28Speaker 3: once you start stopping for coffee dates, they start lasting
- 12:31Speaker 3: longer than a takeaway coffee and it's a sit down
- 12:33Speaker 3: and it's a study date. And then the study date
- 12:35Speaker 3: moves from the coffee place to the fucking bedroom.
- 12:38Speaker 1: No, I don't know, I tell you what. It hits different
- 12:40Speaker 1: car sex.
- 12:41Speaker 3: Yeah, it's just say, hey, babie'm getting to lift home
- 12:44Speaker 3: with James and we're gonna study in the back of
- 12:49Speaker 3: his car. In the back of his car, and there's
- 12:51Speaker 3: fucking handprints from the fucking condensation.
- 12:54Speaker 1: Oh my god. Cheating or not cheating.
- 13:00Speaker 3: Posting a TikTok about a girl that is one hundred
- 13:03Speaker 3: percent not.
- 13:04Speaker 1: You, not not his girlfriend.
- 13:08Speaker 3: Oh so like reposting a TikTok that's explaining a girl
- 13:12Speaker 3: that is one hundred percent not you.
- 13:14Speaker 1: Oh okay, that's one of those things like, yeah, not cheating, Well,
- 13:19Speaker 1: but the girl pops are going to answer cheating, I
- 13:21Speaker 1: would I wouldn't do it. I feel like that's disrespectful.
- 13:24Speaker 1: This one's tough. I'm in my own head cheating sixty percent,
- 13:29Speaker 1: fifty three percent not cheating. Oh damn it, all right,
- 13:33Speaker 1: that was it. That's it. That's it. Cheating, not cheating
- 13:36Speaker 1: from the people over Whow. I'm upset. I'm surprised. I'm
- 13:39Speaker 1: fully upset. Yeah, not what I expected from our list
- 13:42Speaker 1: supposally not our listeners. Everyone listening probably agrees with us, true, yeah, yeah,
- 13:47Speaker 1: that we do followers yeah yeah, yea, yeah yeah yeah
- 13:49Speaker 1: but yeah yeah yeah. Maybe maybe we're wrong, Jake, Maybe
- 13:52Speaker 1: we need to wake up to ourself. No, no, we're not.
- 13:56Speaker 3: I wanted to be no, I wanted to be more toxic.
- 13:59Speaker 1: I say, no, no way, oh yeah, no way.
- 14:03Speaker 3: Some of them genuinely surprised me, though, Like I'm thinking here,
- 14:08Speaker 3: first off, getting coffee or lunch with the opposite gender.
- 14:12Speaker 1: God, that's cheating. Eight not Cheating's crazy. I'm trying to
- 14:17Speaker 1: be in their head. Maybe they're thinking, like, you know
- 14:19Speaker 1: what it is, work, okay, you know what it is.
- 14:21Speaker 3: I'm going to have a little calling everyone out here,
- 14:24Speaker 3: rand Okay, I'm calling girls out, all right, not to
- 14:30Speaker 3: be sexist. It's actually it's not a sexist thing. This
- 14:33Speaker 3: is just an opinion, all right. We have noticed a pattern,
- 14:39Speaker 3: all right, a pattern in the people that do think
- 14:45Speaker 3: guys and girls can be friends like best friends friends. Yes,
- 14:52Speaker 3: quite often it's girls that think that, so quite often
- 14:57Speaker 3: so so, so it's kind of as understandable that a
- 14:59Speaker 3: girl is going to be like, oh, yeah, no, it's
- 15:01Speaker 3: fine if I go get lunch with my guy best friend,
- 15:04Speaker 3: or it's fine if I if I get a lift home.
- 15:06Speaker 1: From UNI with him, or it's fine if this, that, this, that.
- 15:09Speaker 3: But when it's about when it's about a guy and
- 15:11Speaker 3: his girl best friend.
- 15:13Speaker 1: Cheating every fucking time, yeah it is.
- 15:16Speaker 3: I'm gonna start rewording these and see if they have
- 15:18Speaker 3: the same answers.
- 15:19Speaker 1: That's a good.
- 15:20Speaker 3: Yeah, let's try to get it and just change everything
- 15:21Speaker 3: from her to him. All right, here's girl best friend.
- 15:24Speaker 3: Here's the fucking thing he's sharing getting notes from a girl.
- 15:27Speaker 3: He's going to get lunch with another girl. He's going
- 15:30Speaker 3: to get lunch with the other that's cheaty. I'm gonna
- 15:32Speaker 3: start fucking doing this thing. I'm changing the wording and
- 15:36Speaker 3: see him seeing what happens.
- 15:37Speaker 1: I want to see what sort of patterns with want.
- 15:39Speaker 1: I think so too, But like, put yourself in a
- 15:41Speaker 1: situation like the UNI one getting a lift home. So
- 15:45Speaker 1: he's your girlfriend doesn't get a UNI but she goes
- 15:47Speaker 1: to Plarties.
- 15:47Speaker 4: I know that.
- 15:48Speaker 1: So your girlfriends at Plartis and she goes, Oh, I
- 15:50Speaker 1: just got to lift home with James instead of catching
- 15:53Speaker 1: the bus because he offered. Hell did that make you feel?
- 15:59Speaker 1: James from the Pilates duo and he's straight?
- 16:03Speaker 3: Okay, Well, you know what I'm gonna say is because
- 16:05Speaker 3: UNI everyone's similar age.
- 16:06Speaker 1: I'm just gonna say he's a similar Yeah, Palladi's young,
- 16:09Speaker 1: young generation. Let's keep fit good looking.
- 16:12Speaker 3: First off, I'm saying, why you got yourself there? Get
- 16:14Speaker 3: yourself home? Secondly, one time?
- 16:25Speaker 1: No, no, yeah, one time, one time. I tell her,
- 16:27Speaker 1: I'm like, one time.
- 16:28Speaker 3: It happens once, Okay, I'm letting her know that I'm not.
- 16:33Speaker 1: Comfortable with that.
- 16:34Speaker 3: Yeah, James knows where you live now, all right, James
- 16:37Speaker 3: knows where you fucking live now, Okay, And I can't
- 16:41Speaker 3: be there one hundred percent of the time.
- 16:42Speaker 1: Beth knows what the back of the car's like to.
- 16:44Speaker 3: Mate, Secondly, if that motherfucker meets Henry, we've got beef.
- 16:50Speaker 1: Bro, We've got beef. But that's what you have to do.
- 16:54Speaker 1: Put yourself in the situation irrespective of sex. Andybody, Nah,
- 16:57Speaker 1: I'm not comfortable. We come across as toxic, but it's
- 17:00Speaker 1: so true if you put yourself in this situation.
- 17:02Speaker 3: Yeah, I definitely reckon. We come across as a little
- 17:05Speaker 3: bit toxic.
- 17:05Speaker 1: Yeah. And I also I do I want to really
- 17:08Speaker 1: just hammer in.
- 17:09Speaker 3: I want to hammer it in like.
- 17:13Speaker 1: That guy.
- 17:14Speaker 3: Okay, hold up, hold up, hold up, hold up. What
- 17:18Speaker 3: if Beth was to go to Lift home with James. Yeah,
- 17:22Speaker 3: hot games and it's pissing down rain, that's fine, that's fine,
- 17:26Speaker 3: all right, but yeah that's sunny mate.
- 17:29Speaker 1: Pissing down only when it rains.
- 17:32Speaker 3: But if it's sunny, telling you right now, go get
- 17:34Speaker 3: a brisk walking down you need to stun.
- 17:36Speaker 1: But the older I'm getting also, like I'm realizing me
- 17:39Speaker 1: as a male, I'm unfortunately not putting myself out there
- 17:44Speaker 1: as much as wanting to go get lunch, slash coffees
- 17:47Speaker 1: or these activities with my actual friends. So if I
- 17:53Speaker 1: were if a girl say a single word to ask
- 17:54Speaker 1: me on a date or not on a date. Sorry,
- 17:56Speaker 1: that's just immediately what my brain went to. If my
- 17:58Speaker 1: girl were to ask me to go get lunch, yeah,
- 18:01Speaker 1: yea yeah, if I was friends, I'm back, Oh no,
- 18:03Speaker 1: I'm busy because I would want to smash I'm going
- 18:06Speaker 1: to it. Yeah, Like even if you're single, you're just
- 18:08Speaker 1: being like yeah, yeah yeah. And it's also that labeling thing,
- 18:11Speaker 1: like fucking label it. Don't say coffee or lunch because
- 18:13Speaker 1: you know one of them is there to get some Yeah.
- 18:16Speaker 3: I'm trying to put myself in this situation of like,
- 18:21Speaker 3: how would I feel if like a friend of my
- 18:26Speaker 3: girlfriends that's a guy that she's like, she just is
- 18:29Speaker 3: like he just considers him a friend. Ye, you know,
- 18:32Speaker 3: only ever sees them in group situations like it's normal,
- 18:35Speaker 3: blah blah blah.
- 18:35Speaker 1: It is platonic.
- 18:37Speaker 3: If he was to I don't know, just be like, oh,
- 18:40Speaker 3: do you want to go get coffee sometime? And she went,
- 18:46Speaker 3: I'm so I'm not. I think it would need to
- 18:49Speaker 3: happen for me to actually realize how I feel. So
- 18:52Speaker 3: maybe we are being toxic yeah maybe yeah, but it's
- 18:56Speaker 3: also like I don't know just how you feel. Yeah,
- 19:00Speaker 3: girlfriend has one male friend who shed go to like
- 19:02Speaker 3: dinners with and they like pre planted and stuff, and
- 19:05Speaker 3: I've met him, nice guy.
- 19:07Speaker 1: Yeah you don't care. I don't care, But I don't know.
- 19:09Speaker 1: Maybe the fact that I've met him, maybe maybe you
- 19:12Speaker 1: like you? You're you're friendly with him? Yeah, straight guy?
- 19:14Speaker 1: Yeah nothing. Maybe you're secure, a little bit short, a
- 19:19Speaker 1: little bit. Maybe that helps. Here's my question.
- 19:24Speaker 3: Would you prefer she doesn't go to the let's not
- 19:28Speaker 3: open up for canam.
- 19:31Speaker 1: Ship? Bro Okay, I don't care at all. Okay, well
- 19:33Speaker 1: maybe we're being a little toxic. Maybe we are. Maybe
- 19:36Speaker 1: I wouldn't care. That's you know what. The funny thing.
- 19:39Speaker 3: I maybe maybe I genuinely wouldn't care. But also, like
- 19:43Speaker 3: I like you, you would never go get lunch or dinner.
- 19:50Speaker 1: No dinner. I think dinner is way more romantic than
- 19:53Speaker 1: lunch or breakfast. It's is it different from your Like?
- 19:55Speaker 1: I would never, in my worst nightmare do that to
- 19:59Speaker 1: my girl friend. I'm like, oh, I'm just going to
- 20:01Speaker 1: go get dinner with Sally. We've been friends since high school.
- 20:04Speaker 1: I haven't seen her in six months, But but I would.
- 20:08Speaker 3: Never You don't care, But you're not saying that in
- 20:11Speaker 3: a way right now to take go after your girlfriend.
- 20:12Speaker 3: But you're because you don't care when she does it,
- 20:14Speaker 3: because she's friends when you met him. Interesting, I would
- 20:17Speaker 3: need it happen to be maybe, I think I need
- 20:18Speaker 3: to happen to me.
- 20:19Speaker 1: We've got a few tests. You don't and he lay
- 20:21Speaker 1: Any guys who want to take Jake's girlfriend on a date,
- 20:24Speaker 1: I mean coffee or lunch.
- 20:26Speaker 3: I'm going to tell our girlfriend. I'm going to say
- 20:28Speaker 3: to her, I need we need to test something here.
- 20:31Speaker 3: I want you to like. I think maybe it wouldn't
- 20:34Speaker 3: matter if I knew it was pre planned.
- 20:36Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I don't know. Maybe we're being a bit toxic,
- 20:39Speaker 1: but it's fun to be toxic. I see why people
- 20:43Speaker 1: do it.
- 20:50Speaker 3: All right, guys, we've got If you're on Patreon, you
- 20:55Speaker 3: would have known that Jack has attempted have a Macappy day.
- 20:58Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, and if you're a new listen.
- 21:00Speaker 3: Jake brought this up a couple of weeks ago, and yeah,
- 21:02Speaker 3: I was at so quick backstory, I went to macas
- 21:05Speaker 3: was getting coffee with my girlfriend. The lady take my
- 21:07Speaker 3: order when I was like when she was like all right,
- 21:09Speaker 3: go through, I was like, thank you. She said to me,
- 21:10Speaker 3: have a McHappy day, all right. So when I got
- 21:13Speaker 3: to where I I didn't say it when I paid,
- 21:15Speaker 3: but Beth said, when you get the coffee, you have
- 21:17Speaker 3: to say, have a mccappy day.
- 21:19Speaker 1: How to respect, all right? How to respect? It's McDonald's.
- 21:22Speaker 1: So I did it.
- 21:24Speaker 3: Crickets talk about rejection therapy.
- 21:28Speaker 1: This time, I've done it again. You've done it again.
- 21:30Speaker 1: I've done it again. McDonald's are different, say McDonald's. Well,
- 21:34Speaker 1: going back to the same place.
- 21:36Speaker 3: I was with Harry all right, from Blues and Greens.
- 21:39Speaker 3: He was sitting in the car with me and we
- 21:41Speaker 3: went we got a coffee and he was like, you
- 21:43Speaker 3: have to do it, you have to do it.
- 21:43Speaker 1: And I was like, yea, I'll do it. I'll do it.
- 21:44Speaker 3: I was stressing because we got so we went. I
- 21:47Speaker 3: ordered a coffee, a coffee and and a fucking hash brown.
- 21:50Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 21:51Speaker 3: I get the coffee. I recognized the girl it gives
- 21:54Speaker 3: me the coffee.
- 21:55Speaker 1: Who was it? I couldn't. I can't remember her name,
- 21:58Speaker 1: couldn't say to her, what is someone in our age? No?
- 22:00Speaker 1: I don't know where.
- 22:01Speaker 3: I know I'm from. But I couldn't do it. I
- 22:04Speaker 3: could not fucking do it, especially because when she handed
- 22:06Speaker 3: me the coffee, a little bit coffee spilled on my finger.
- 22:08Speaker 1: She goes, oh, are you okay? Do you need a rag?
- 22:09Speaker 3: And I was like no, no, oh good, So I
- 22:10Speaker 3: put it down and Harry was like, you know, and
- 22:12Speaker 3: then she goes, can you go drive through the waiting
- 22:14Speaker 3: thing for the hash break?
- 22:15Speaker 1: Yes? It's like yeah, no drama.
- 22:18Speaker 3: And then I see this girl coming out and I
- 22:20Speaker 3: was like, fuck, I have to do it.
- 22:21Speaker 1: But here we go. I'll give it to you. Say
- 22:23Speaker 1: you said something back? Here we go playing. It's twenty
- 22:27Speaker 1: seven seconds. But Jake's attempted have a make happy day.
- 22:31Speaker 1: I don't know if she didn't, you didn't got one?
- 22:35Speaker 4: Sucks?
- 22:36Speaker 1: What is so hard? Thank you having make happy day?
- 22:44Speaker 1: Keep watching like Harry.
- 22:56Speaker 3: Better?
- 22:56Speaker 1: How good is that? I was stressing beforehand to okay,
- 23:03Speaker 1: I have a few rebuttals? Oh why do you think
- 23:08Speaker 1: the nice worker at McDonald's thought you said have a
- 23:12Speaker 1: happy day? I clearly said have a mccappy day.
- 23:15Speaker 2: Mick was a little bit the you don't try it
- 23:18Speaker 2: the delivery of Mick stop chatting and try it.
- 23:22Speaker 1: Oh shit, I will. The problem is I don't get
- 23:25Speaker 1: maybe I will. I don't get market Mackett. So I
- 23:27Speaker 1: have to go there and I have to get some
- 23:29Speaker 1: maybe something before the gym. But tomorrow it was morow.
- 23:31Speaker 3: You and I driving home from sceney together, we'll go through.
- 23:34Speaker 3: I'll get a coffee, you can get whatever you're on,
- 23:35Speaker 3: a hot chocolate bit and.
- 23:37Speaker 1: You're like, no, you'll have a McHappy day. So she
- 23:43Speaker 1: could have been like, have a happy day, but she chuckled.
- 23:46Speaker 1: She did, Yes, replay the mccappy. But we're finding out
- 23:52Speaker 1: this is quite the hard challenge, but we wanted to
- 23:55Speaker 1: bring it to the people listening right now.
- 23:58Speaker 3: It's gonna be funnier if people send him in.
- 24:00Speaker 1: Anyone going to McDonald's in the foreseeable future, get your
- 24:03Speaker 1: phone out, put on your lap or whatever, just so
- 24:05Speaker 1: you can get the audio. That's just film your face.
- 24:07Speaker 1: That's all we need. And when you get your food
- 24:10Speaker 1: or anything you drink handed to you say have a
- 24:13Speaker 1: MG happy day and see if they respond, Oh, it's stressful.
- 24:17Speaker 3: I telling you, guys, it's stressful. But when you're done,
- 24:20Speaker 3: it's it's what's the core?
- 24:21Speaker 1: What's the word pumping through the blood? I felt great
- 24:27Speaker 1: that macus is different.
- 24:28Speaker 3: So even you know what FU say whatever you want.
- 24:31Speaker 1: I'm becappy, start started thing and then different night time.
- 24:34Speaker 1: It's having MC happy night. Yeah, MC night. It would
- 24:39Speaker 1: be so funny if you're doing it when they getting
- 24:41Speaker 1: pumped as well. Okay, Jake, I can say luckily that
- 24:54Speaker 1: we both have girlfriends now and we talk about them
- 24:58Speaker 1: quite a lot. But we got to send them message
- 25:00Speaker 1: and he was asking, how do you know when she's
- 25:04Speaker 1: the one? The one? And we are both in the
- 25:07Speaker 1: position now where well, I haven't dropped a knee yet.
- 25:10Speaker 1: I don't want to speak for you, but you might
- 25:12Speaker 1: potentially think she's the one. Yeah, yes, well let's you
- 25:16Speaker 1: date for that. That's the whole point of dating. That's
- 25:18Speaker 1: why I think so any anyway, you don't date to
- 25:21Speaker 1: think you're going to break up eventually. No, no, you're not
- 25:23Speaker 1: the one for now. Some guys do just the one
- 25:26Speaker 1: for now. Well no, yeah, we don't date for that reason. No, no, no,
- 25:28Speaker 1: not at all. But it brought up a good question.
- 25:31Speaker 1: How did you know that your girlfriend was potentially the
- 25:36Speaker 1: one or that you were ready to ask her out?
- 25:40Speaker 1: Slash cool story, Actually slash do you want to tell
- 25:42Speaker 1: her how you go throughout yet? I'll say she won't care.
- 25:45Speaker 1: She told mine this might be a good little probably have.
- 25:49Speaker 3: This is actually you know, this is actually glad you
- 25:51Speaker 3: brought this up. This is funny. And Beth and I
- 25:53Speaker 3: were talking about this the other day. Yeah, okay, okay.
- 25:56Speaker 3: First off, so we went on a date and and
- 26:00Speaker 3: I drove to Sydney for the date and our first
- 26:03Speaker 3: day picked her up and I would like to let
- 26:06Speaker 3: everyone know, bought her some flowers. Yeah, and also dog
- 26:10Speaker 3: treats do Yeah. Moving on, plan was to go to
- 26:15Speaker 3: the aquarium, which she was actually giving me ship for aquarium.
- 26:19Speaker 1: Then dinner had like I had a restaurant. I have
- 26:20Speaker 1: to say, defending you, it's hard for a guy who
- 26:23Speaker 1: doesn't live near where she lives the planet day, Well,
- 26:25Speaker 1: I don't really know everything.
- 26:27Speaker 3: I found the nicest restaurant, Like it's kind of hard
- 26:29Speaker 3: to know. Like I'm better now. There a lot, but
- 26:33Speaker 3: like I for some reason, I've never taken a girl
- 26:34Speaker 3: to the aquarium. I've always wanted.
- 26:36Speaker 1: I thought that's cool.
- 26:36Speaker 3: Yeah, Like I thought it was a good idea because
- 26:38Speaker 3: you just you go walk around at cool animals and
- 26:41Speaker 3: it's kind of like you just forced a.
- 26:42Speaker 1: Chat first da It's always good to have a little activity.
- 26:44Speaker 3: Yeah, I thought. I thought it was a good idea.
- 26:46Speaker 3: So many people was like, that's not a good idea.
- 26:48Speaker 3: I fucking loved it. Yeah, I didn't get to go. Basically,
- 26:51Speaker 3: we we we go to a house. We end up
- 26:54Speaker 3: instead of driving into the city, we get an uber. Yeah,
- 26:57Speaker 3: and so its kind of it was actually a little
- 26:59Speaker 3: bit like I guess awkward, like said hi, hello, blah
- 27:02Speaker 3: blah blah, and then we order an uber and like
- 27:04Speaker 3: first date, we just sat in a silent uber.
- 27:07Speaker 1: But it was fine. So then we get out where
- 27:10Speaker 1: we go. We go to the aquarium.
- 27:11Speaker 3: It's like four fifty nine, aquarium closes it five. So
- 27:15Speaker 3: I was like, no, I didn't do my research. Yeah,
- 27:20Speaker 3: I didn't do for me, think of this guy. I
- 27:22Speaker 3: didn't do my freaking research. I think we had a
- 27:24Speaker 3: table book for like seven as well. I was like,
- 27:25Speaker 3: it'll be open and then so instead we ended up
- 27:28Speaker 3: we went for a walk to an arcade, like a
- 27:32Speaker 3: big one, and we went there and I don't know
- 27:35Speaker 3: if she told me straight away or if I just didn't,
- 27:38Speaker 3: or if she told me after, but we get there
- 27:40Speaker 3: and I'm like, arcade sick, just gonna beat her and everything,
- 27:42Speaker 3: you know, just gonna show her us, and I was thinking, like,
- 27:46Speaker 3: I'm gonna have to let her win a carp yeah,
- 27:48Speaker 3: and then we get there beat I didn't win one thing.
- 27:50Speaker 1: She beat me at everything.
- 27:52Speaker 4: Bro.
- 27:52Speaker 3: She like I'm talking like like fucked me up really,
- 27:55Speaker 3: especially the basketball because her dad used to sell or
- 27:59Speaker 3: something the machine.
- 28:00Speaker 1: You just grew up playing them. And I was like,
- 28:02Speaker 1: no kind of lie. You're looking like the worst gol
- 28:05Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah.
- 28:07Speaker 3: But basically, so we did that and then when got dinner,
- 28:10Speaker 3: it was lovely. And then just from then on kept
- 28:13Speaker 3: seeing each other. Yeah, date date, date, date date, and
- 28:16Speaker 3: then I remember the day I asked her out or
- 28:21Speaker 3: the day before and I was talking to Joanna and
- 28:23Speaker 3: I think, so I knew from like obviously date one.
- 28:28Speaker 3: I was like, oh, I could very much like see
- 28:32Speaker 3: this happening. Yeah, and then after a couple more dates
- 28:35Speaker 3: obviously just confirm it, You're like, yeah, I do want
- 28:37Speaker 3: to actually like wanted to be my girlfriend because I've
- 28:40Speaker 3: never understood the because I do think like actually being
- 28:43Speaker 3: boyfriend and girlfriend, Like you you want to do it
- 28:46Speaker 3: because you don't see yourself breaking up with them, but
- 28:48Speaker 3: you also do it because you are you are still
- 28:51Speaker 3: getting to know them like best and I've been together
- 28:53Speaker 3: for six months, over six months, and then we are
- 28:54Speaker 3: still getting.
- 28:55Speaker 1: To know each other. I think so too. It's just
- 28:56Speaker 1: that initial stage that like, yeah, she's the one, then
- 28:58Speaker 1: you figure it out more. Yes. So I can't tell you.
- 29:01Speaker 3: I don't know if I can fully pinpoint when I
- 29:03Speaker 3: realized I wanted to do it, but I knew I
- 29:05Speaker 3: wanted to do it, and I had this thing in
- 29:07Speaker 3: my head where I wanted to do it on the
- 29:08Speaker 3: seventeenth of January something to do with it would have
- 29:12Speaker 3: been like either a month or just over a month
- 29:14Speaker 3: after a first date or something, and I was talking
- 29:16Speaker 3: to Joanna about it. Yeah, she was like, what why
- 29:19Speaker 3: are you waiting till the seventeenth And it's like the
- 29:21Speaker 3: sixth at this point of the fifth of January. At
- 29:23Speaker 3: this point she's like, why wait, Oh no, it would
- 29:26Speaker 3: We met on the seventeenth November, so it would have
- 29:28Speaker 3: been two months after that, it makes sense. So basically
- 29:31Speaker 3: I was like, I wanted two months, and then she's
- 29:33Speaker 3: it's like the fifth of January. I was going on
- 29:35Speaker 3: a date with Beth the next day, planned and everything,
- 29:38Speaker 3: and Joanna was like, why would you wait? And as
- 29:41Speaker 3: she and Joanna having this conversation. She's making errors tour
- 29:44Speaker 3: best friend bracelets first tail Swift yeah, because she's going
- 29:47Speaker 3: to tail swift soon, and and I was like, good point,
- 29:51Speaker 3: Like I'm going to do it on the seventeenth. Why
- 29:53Speaker 3: would I not just do it now? And so I
- 29:55Speaker 3: got Joanna to make two bracelets. One of them said
- 30:01Speaker 3: yap queen and one of them said girlfriend. Yeah, okay.
- 30:06Speaker 3: And so when we went on a Beth May went
- 30:08Speaker 3: on a date the next day and we went to
- 30:12Speaker 3: the botanical gardens. I think we did something, but then
- 30:15Speaker 3: we were over like at the Opera House, and I
- 30:18Speaker 3: was like, oh fuck, I said in my head, I
- 30:19Speaker 3: was gonna do it right here. I'm actually kind of nervous,
- 30:21Speaker 3: like I was going to say yes. I was like,
- 30:23Speaker 3: I know she's gonna say yes, but also what if
- 30:25Speaker 3: she says no? And then I asked her I think
- 30:31Speaker 3: I said will you be my girlfriend?
- 30:33Speaker 1: And then she said yes?
- 30:34Speaker 3: And then I was like, well, you're going to need
- 30:36Speaker 3: this then and gave her the bracelet.
- 30:37Speaker 1: That's cute, how funny, I thought. I don't know why
- 30:41Speaker 1: I had in my head. I thought of the arcade.
- 30:43Speaker 1: You guys want some bracelets on your first date? No,
- 30:46Speaker 1: do you want to mate it? And then and then
- 30:48Speaker 1: I thought you were doing a cute thing, like on
- 30:49Speaker 1: our first date we got bracelets, so he's another bracelet again.
- 30:52Speaker 1: No no, no, no, no, no.
- 30:53Speaker 3: Yeah, that would have been cool. Yea, it would have
- 30:54Speaker 3: been It would have been cool. That's that's how it happened.
- 30:56Speaker 3: And then and then I would say I knew I
- 30:59Speaker 3: like her one time. It was a little while after that.
- 31:02Speaker 3: I knew I loved her when we were in an
- 31:04Speaker 3: uber on the way home from a date. But I
- 31:06Speaker 3: didn't say it. Something in me was like, Okay, I'm glad.
- 31:09Speaker 3: I know it, like I've confirmed it in my head.
- 31:11Speaker 3: I know it, I feel it, but I just didn't
- 31:13Speaker 3: say it. I was like, once we say it, we're
- 31:15Speaker 3: saying it for the for the foreseeable future, you know,
- 31:18Speaker 3: like once I say it in my head, like we're
- 31:20Speaker 3: not going to break up, so like I think we're
- 31:23Speaker 3: just we're gonna be saying it forever, so it's gonna wait.
- 31:25Speaker 3: I don't know why I thought that was I'm just
- 31:26Speaker 3: gonna wait. But then she ended up saying it first.
- 31:29Speaker 1: How funny. Back to the question too, I'll tell mine briefly.
- 31:33Speaker 1: I think I've told it before, but just thinking listening
- 31:36Speaker 1: to Jake's story and thinking about mine of asking my
- 31:40Speaker 1: girlfriend out, how do you know she's the one? It's
- 31:43Speaker 1: just a feeling.
- 31:45Speaker 3: Here's the thing is like, Yeah, I was like, I'm
- 31:48Speaker 3: more than happy to drive to Sydney whenever, like I
- 31:51Speaker 3: like it. She makes me laugh, like hanging out with her,
- 31:55Speaker 3: and yeah, like I was like, I just genuinely think
- 31:59Speaker 3: everyone I know will like, oh blah blah blah.
- 32:00Speaker 1: Yeah this was great. Yeah. I remember just thinking like
- 32:02Speaker 1: I just just think she I just knew, like there
- 32:05Speaker 1: wasn't a doubt. It hot out in my mind. Have
- 32:08Speaker 1: I told my tell my quickly? Quickly? Tell quickly just
- 32:10Speaker 1: gives you have new listeners. Okay, So me and my
- 32:13Speaker 1: girlfriend backstory. We've been talking for six weeks on social
- 32:16Speaker 1: media because she was in Europe and I was here
- 32:20Speaker 1: and we actually got to hang out. I think it
- 32:24Speaker 1: was two days or three days in a row before
- 32:26Speaker 1: I went to Balley. She got back from Europe, went
- 32:28Speaker 1: to a parents' house was where near I live, and
- 32:31Speaker 1: we met up and we just didn't like, we hanged
- 32:33Speaker 1: out for two days straight and then she was gonna
- 32:36Speaker 1: she went. She lives in Sydney in Bondai, and I
- 32:39Speaker 1: went and stayed at her place at this point she
- 32:41Speaker 1: lived there, Yeah, in Sydney and Bondai, and I went
- 32:43Speaker 1: and stayed there for one night and then I was
- 32:44Speaker 1: going to Bali the next day. I'm pretty sure. So
- 32:47Speaker 1: we've been talking for six weeks. Then we had three
- 32:48Speaker 1: days together, then nothing, and I was gone for six weeks.
- 32:51Speaker 1: The best three days it was good. But anyway, after that,
- 32:56Speaker 1: I was like, I knew, like, fuck, this Chi could
- 32:58Speaker 1: be the one. Pretty sure. I'm pretty sure she was,
- 33:00Speaker 1: and she's very in touch of her emotions. And when
- 33:03Speaker 1: I was leaving her house, she started crying a little bit.
- 33:06Speaker 1: I was like, fuck, I've never had like a girl
- 33:08Speaker 1: like so like in touch of her emotions, like have
- 33:10Speaker 1: a couple of some men. I was like, what's wrong.
- 33:13Speaker 1: She's just like I'm so happy, like this is such
- 33:14Speaker 1: a good time. Sh and I don't know if I
- 33:17Speaker 1: asked her before it was after that, but I said,
- 33:19Speaker 1: why don't you come to Bali? She was coming to,
- 33:21Speaker 1: but we already pre planned. This was like written in
- 33:22Speaker 1: the stars that she was going to be there for
- 33:24Speaker 1: the last month that we were there, so I had
- 33:26Speaker 1: two weeks off and I was like, well, one, you
- 33:28Speaker 1: just come a little bit early so and just stay
- 33:30Speaker 1: with me. I've already got the Como book and I
- 33:31Speaker 1: got a double bed, like I guess. So she flew
- 33:34Speaker 1: across the Bari to see me and hang out for
- 33:36Speaker 1: a week before that, and we just started hanging out
- 33:39Speaker 1: and Bari Jake was there. We were recording and doing
- 33:41Speaker 1: other stuff. She was doing her own thing, and I
- 33:43Speaker 1: had in the back of my mind that before I
- 33:46Speaker 1: went to Bali, I was like, oh, I had a
- 33:48Speaker 1: few ideas how to ask her out. And I was like,
- 33:49Speaker 1: I'll just do it when I get back. And then
- 33:53Speaker 1: I was just I just knew it was. It was
- 33:54Speaker 1: going so good. I was like, fuck it. Why did
- 33:56Speaker 1: I just do it here? It's like so romantic, cool
- 33:58Speaker 1: place to do it. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I
- 34:00Speaker 1: remember you.
- 34:00Speaker 3: I I and I did to you what you wanted
- 34:03Speaker 3: to me.
- 34:04Speaker 1: Yeah yeah yeah yeah, Like why not? I thought him.
- 34:06Speaker 1: My other plan was like to ask. We're gonna we
- 34:08Speaker 1: planned a trip to like Crescent Head and like camping,
- 34:09Speaker 1: and I was going to ask on the surf. Yeah,
- 34:11Speaker 1: I remember that. Yeah, that was my other plan. But
- 34:14Speaker 1: I was like, fuck it, I'm just going to do it,
- 34:15Speaker 1: and we booked a I booked a romantic airbnb at
- 34:19Speaker 1: a Bud turned out to be shit, like was a
- 34:22Speaker 1: construction site next to it, like hadn't been cleaned properly.
- 34:25Speaker 1: And I was like no, I got that. I got
- 34:26Speaker 1: there earlier to set up. I was like no. I
- 34:28Speaker 1: was like, I've committed now because I bought rose pedals
- 34:30Speaker 1: from a florist. That day I committed and my girlfriend
- 34:35Speaker 1: was driving her scooter from Changu to Bud, which is
- 34:38Speaker 1: like an hour and a half drive anyway. She was sick,
- 34:40Speaker 1: her sim car died, she had no service. She was
- 34:43Speaker 1: like half an hour late. She got there all like
- 34:46Speaker 1: dirty adult diurnover and shit. A long drive anyway. There
- 34:50Speaker 1: was two bedrooms at the airbnbat main bedroom and another
- 34:54Speaker 1: one and so the other one. I got rose pedals
- 34:57Speaker 1: and wrote will you be my girlfriend? I wrote GF
- 34:59Speaker 1: his girlfriend? Too long long word. Anyway, she got there
- 35:02Speaker 1: and she was all flustered. I was like, okay, what
- 35:03Speaker 1: is chill for a bit and I'll let her settle
- 35:05Speaker 1: down so she like enjoys the moment. Anyway, I go,
- 35:09Speaker 1: here's the main bedroom. It's better. I already chucked my
- 35:11Speaker 1: stuff in there, and she just straight up before anything
- 35:13Speaker 1: even puts a room and she's like, let me see
- 35:15Speaker 1: which one's better. So I was like, oh shit, trust
- 35:19Speaker 1: your word. So she went to the other room, opened it.
- 35:23Speaker 1: She must be like she was like looking around, looking around,
- 35:26Speaker 1: didn't see it. It was big rose petals. I'm talking
- 35:28Speaker 1: like a solid, like a meter long in rose petals,
- 35:30Speaker 1: just a fucking a lot of rose petals. And she
- 35:32Speaker 1: go and I was like, look down, and she just looked.
- 35:35Speaker 1: She's like she just turned around and hugged me and
- 35:37Speaker 1: kissed me, and she's like, yes, that's cute, how funny.
- 35:40Speaker 1: And then we're girlfriend and boyfriend, and I just knew
- 35:43Speaker 1: she was the one from the get your hates, even
- 35:45Speaker 1: like the first time we hung out, I was like, oh, fuck, yeah,
- 35:48Speaker 1: I think she's the one.
- 35:48Speaker 4: You know.
- 35:48Speaker 3: I was thinking one thing, how I was while you're
- 35:52Speaker 3: saying that, I was thinking we both kind of asked
- 35:53Speaker 3: him out like a cute like way. And one of
- 35:57Speaker 3: the things in my head that I'm thinking now is
- 35:59Speaker 3: why I think I guess the one or whatever? Why
- 36:02Speaker 3: you think that at least is my girlfriend prior that
- 36:07Speaker 3: I dated years ago to my girlfriend now is the
- 36:11Speaker 3: way I asked her to be my girlfriend was fucking All.
- 36:15Speaker 1: I did was.
- 36:18Speaker 3: Like I had ample opportunity, bro ample to make it cute,
- 36:22Speaker 3: and all I did, I think one day was like
- 36:24Speaker 3: I said to her, we have it.
- 36:26Speaker 1: We put a date on this. That's what you said
- 36:28Speaker 1: you came about, we have a date to have, Like,
- 36:30Speaker 1: let's choose a date and feel like that like that's
- 36:34Speaker 1: the date that we've been our anniversary. I guess we've
- 36:36Speaker 1: become officials. Yeah, so basically I think we did use
- 36:38Speaker 1: it that day. Oh so you didn't even give you like, oh,
- 36:41Speaker 1: we're basically dating that.
- 36:42Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 36:43Speaker 1: I was kind of like how we put a date
- 36:44Speaker 1: on this? And she was like, what are you asking
- 36:45Speaker 1: me to be a girlfriend? I was like yeah, but
- 36:49Speaker 1: maybe thinking about it too, Like we went to these
- 36:51Speaker 1: extents even though they're not that like big, but we
- 36:54Speaker 1: wanted to because they were so special to us. And
- 36:57Speaker 1: I'm thinking I didn't really have like I had one
- 36:59Speaker 1: girlfriend before that, and like I didn't do any sort
- 37:01Speaker 1: of extent and I was like nervous did all these things,
- 37:03Speaker 1: and I.
- 37:03Speaker 3: Kind of feel like a bit of a I was
- 37:09Speaker 3: when I was younger. You couldn't get me to do
- 37:11Speaker 3: a big thing.
- 37:12Speaker 1: I reckon. I would have been like, no, I'm not
- 37:14Speaker 1: doing that. Yeah, same, I'm not doing that. Like why
- 37:16Speaker 1: why would I do that?
- 37:18Speaker 3: Not because I didn't love them, because I didn't like them,
- 37:21Speaker 3: just not because I thought they didn't deserve it.
- 37:22Speaker 1: It just felt awkward and like.
- 37:24Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't even know it was orkard or so
- 37:26Speaker 3: I was like, you don't want your friends to know,
- 37:27Speaker 3: Like I don't know what it is. But now it's
- 37:29Speaker 3: like something about not giving a fuck about when anyone thinks,
- 37:31Speaker 3: and like wanting it to be special for her.
- 37:33Speaker 1: Yeah, I wanted to be special for her. That's the
- 37:34Speaker 1: main thing. Hey, I just know.
- 37:36Speaker 3: Yeah, Like one time I picked her up from a flight.
- 37:38Speaker 3: She came out from Queensland and I went and I
- 37:40Speaker 3: like had flowers and I wrote like a sign, and
- 37:42Speaker 3: then she did it for me when I came over
- 37:44Speaker 3: from Canada, she wrote podcast man.
- 37:46Speaker 1: Yeah, but I told fuck, I think I've told that
- 37:50Speaker 1: my books where you or the book story? Yeah, save it,
- 37:54Speaker 1: save it? Another episode say save it, save it, let
- 37:56Speaker 1: the people ask for it, saved the bookstore, let the
- 37:59Speaker 1: people beg for it. Fuck good. I think that's what
- 38:02Speaker 1: I also talked Catty about it. She cates, Yeah, she
- 38:04Speaker 1: won't care, she won't care, she won't care. But yeah,
- 38:07Speaker 1: if how do you know she's the one or he's
- 38:08Speaker 1: the one. You just know and you're willing to do anything.
- 38:12Speaker 1: You don't care what anyone thinks, And there's just listen
- 38:14Speaker 1: to your gut, like if there's just telling you, like
- 38:17Speaker 1: I really like this guy or hit this girl, like
- 38:19Speaker 1: it's probably right.
- 38:20Speaker 3: Going with your gut actually is the best advice anyone could.
- 38:23Speaker 1: Give, and listen to it vice versa, Like I've had
- 38:25Speaker 1: girls before who I was like, oh, she's doing something wrong,
- 38:28Speaker 1: But I'm not going to listen to like maybe I'm
- 38:30Speaker 1: just being over the top, like I just don't want
- 38:32Speaker 1: a girlfriend lahlah. But all those guts were right, So
- 38:35Speaker 1: listen to your gut.
- 38:37Speaker 4: Yeah, Ria Rno's guts.
- 38:49Speaker 1: Alrighty, guys, thank you for listening. Don't forget if you
- 38:52Speaker 1: enjoy What are they gonna do? Five star this episode?
