- 0:29Speaker 3: correct world.
- 0:30Speaker 4: Two, one.
- 0:37Speaker 2: Class is now in session.
- 0:45Speaker 3: Good morning, everybody.
- 0:47Speaker 5: Good morning.

- 0:52Speaker 2: the 27th, 2026. Thank you for being here.
- 0:55Speaker 3: My name is Woody. That is Greg Gorey.
- 0:57Speaker 6: Hi, Woody.
- 0:57Speaker 2: We got Menace.
- 0:58Speaker 7: What is up?
- 0:59Speaker 2: Hi. Gina Grad is here.
- 1:00Speaker 1: Hello.
- 1:00Speaker 2: We got Seabass. I'm like, what?
- 1:02Speaker 7: There is Sammy.
- 1:02Speaker 8: Hey.
- 1:04Speaker 3: Jeff G.
- 1:04Speaker 9: Hi.
- 1:05Speaker 2: Hello to you, sir. We got Morgan, our associate producer. Von,
- 1:08Speaker 2: our video producer. Dumbass Tyler is here. We got Bort
- 1:11Speaker 2: and we got Menji holding things down in the Woody

- 1:15Speaker 6: 877-44-WOODY.
- 1:16Speaker 2: You can send us a text over to 22987. Today,
- 1:18Speaker 2: August 27th, is International Lottery Day.
- 1:19Speaker 6: Okay.
- 1:28Speaker 2: Today is National Petroleum Day.
- 1:30Speaker 3: Nice. Shout out to their jelly.
- 1:32Speaker 2: Yeah, I do love petroleum jelly.
- 1:34Speaker 3: So does every teenage boy.
- 1:36Speaker 2: Although it's always very inconvenient because, you know, get that
- 1:39Speaker 2: off your hand.
- 1:39Speaker 3: It takes forever.
- 1:40Speaker 2: It does. Just go in lotion, you know?
- 1:43Speaker 10: Wait, you don't just put it on your lips when
- 1:45Speaker 10: they're dry?
- 1:48Speaker 3: Afterward?
- 1:48Speaker 8: No.
- 1:49Speaker 2: Yeah, what part of the process is that? Today is
- 1:53Speaker 2: Crab Soup Day.
- 1:54Speaker 3: Ooh.
- 1:56Speaker 2: And today is National Burger Day.
- 1:57Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 1:58Speaker 7: Shout out to burgers.
- 1:59Speaker 3: Yeah, shout out to burgers.
- 2:01Speaker 2: You're right. Today in history, it was today in 1955, Greg,
- 2:05Speaker 2: that the Guinness Book of World Records was first published.
- 2:09Speaker 3: What a great day.
- 2:10Speaker 2: And sold more than 70 million, seven zero, 70 million copies.
- 2:14Speaker 6: What?
- 2:14Speaker 2: More than any other book except for the Bible.
- 2:17Speaker 3: The Bible.
- 2:18Speaker 11: Yep.
- 2:18Speaker 3: Wow.
- 2:19Speaker 2: It was today... In 1965, that the first Subway sandwich
- 2:26Speaker 2: shop opened. Really?
- 2:27Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 2:27Speaker 2: I didn't know it was that old.
- 2:29Speaker 3: Yeah, Subway sandwich shop.
- 2:30Speaker 2: I would have thought 80. Me too. Yeah, 1965, it
- 2:33Speaker 2: opened in Bridgeport, Connecticut. I think the original owners would
- 2:37Speaker 2: be ashamed to see what it had become. I know.
- 2:41Speaker 2: It went through such a period. Man, they were white hot. Oh,
- 2:44Speaker 2: my God.
- 2:45Speaker 3: Until they had the $ 5 footlong, and it was... Awesome.
- 2:48Speaker 3: Like Jared hadn't touched kids yet.
- 2:49Speaker 2: Right. They had the old-timey wallpaper. Yeah, they had people
- 2:52Speaker 2: going there to eat healthy and do all this stuff.
- 2:54Speaker 2: And then the Jared thing really kind of set the
- 2:56Speaker 2: thing off the rails, I think. But I mean, who
- 2:59Speaker 2: blames them?
- 2:59Speaker 3: But it was already kind of on the.
- 3:01Speaker 7: Yeah, but I say the nail in the coffin was
- 3:04Speaker 7: the $ 5 footlong.
- 3:05Speaker 3: At the end of that.
- 3:08Speaker 12: There's only so much they can do against inflation, obviously. But,
- 3:11Speaker 12: you know, hey kids, back in the 90s, Subway sandwiches
- 3:14Speaker 12: was what Raising Cane's is to you now. It's where
- 3:17Speaker 12: all the teenagers would go.
- 3:18Speaker 2: Yeah. That's true. Stick around, eat cookies and sandwiches.
- 3:21Speaker 3: I mean, all these places, I mean, you know, they
- 3:23Speaker 3: come and go.
- 3:24Speaker 5: They do.
- 3:25Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 3:25Speaker 2: But it's crazy because it wasn't that, it feels like
- 3:27Speaker 2: it wasn't that long ago that Subway was the place.
- 3:30Speaker 3: And I'm not a Subway hater. Me either. I like Subway.
- 3:32Speaker 2: I think they expanded too fast.
- 3:34Speaker 7: I haven't been in a decade.
- 3:35Speaker 2: Yeah. And there's like a ton of sandwich shops. You know,
- 3:37Speaker 2: there's other ones that have come up.
- 3:38Speaker 3: Firehouse.
- 3:39Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 3:41Speaker 3: Rest in peace, Quiznos.
- 3:42Speaker 2: Yeah, Quiznos.
- 3:43Speaker 3: Quiznos is fine. I'm surprised that way.
- 3:45Speaker 2: Schlotzky's. Yeah. I'm trying to think of some other ones
- 3:47Speaker 2: that are.
- 3:48Speaker 5: gone.
- 3:48Speaker 7: Is Blimpies still around?
- 3:50Speaker 2: Yeah, Blimpies I've only seen, you know, if I did
- 3:52Speaker 2: see one, it was like at a Walmart. It was
- 3:55Speaker 2: very Midwest. Every now and then I see one.
- 3:58Speaker 12: Now, how are we saying that Subway is chopped and
- 4:01Speaker 12: busted when they have Doritos hot honey nachos, guys?
- 4:04Speaker 7: Doritos hot honey.
- 4:06Speaker 12: Doritos nacho cheese chips topped with Monterey cheddar veggies, hot honey,
- 4:11Speaker 12: and then chicken steak.
- 4:12Speaker 7: Didn't hear about that one. Yeah, but Jimmy John's Jimmy John's.
- 4:17Speaker 2: Jersey Mike's. Yeah, Jersey Mike's. Those are still good. That's good.
- 4:21Speaker 7: Then there's a number of other ones.
- 4:24Speaker 2: Firehouse.
- 4:24Speaker 3: Yeah, I mentioned Firehouse.
- 4:26Speaker 2: That's good. Are they bringing MySpace back, speaking of old
- 4:29Speaker 2: brands and stuff?
- 4:30Speaker 7: Yeah, they have been talking about that and saying that
- 4:33Speaker 7: you can reactivate your account and they're going to do
- 4:37Speaker 7: a whole revamp of the website and make it fun again.
- 4:41Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:42Speaker 7: I don't know. Are people going to go and do it?
- 4:44Speaker 10: I don't really want to do coding anymore.
- 4:46Speaker 2: Now it's so much easier.
- 4:47Speaker 7: To do everything.
- 4:48Speaker 13: They've been trying to, though.
- 4:50Speaker 9: Justin Timber invested in MySpace to help bring it back
- 4:53Speaker 9: because it was originally music and stuff.
- 4:55Speaker 13: That was a movie, sorry.
- 4:56Speaker 2: That doesn't surprise me because he was in that movie.
- 4:59Speaker 3: That's right.
- 4:59Speaker 2: That's about Facebook. That's on MySpace. Yeah, like websites that
- 5:03Speaker 2: we spent too much time on back in the day. Here,
- 5:06Speaker 2: a little throwback Thursday fun.
- 5:07Speaker 3: MySpace.com.
- 5:08Speaker 2: AOL Instant Messenger.
- 5:10Speaker 7: Oh, God. I love that. I miss it.
- 5:13Speaker 2: Ask Jeeves, which I think just more recently, finally, they
- 5:16Speaker 2: went away, right?
- 5:17Speaker 7: I never used that.
- 5:18Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 5:19Speaker 2: Napster, which is still a thing. Napster, because remember there
- 5:23Speaker 2: was that service Rhapsody?
- 5:25Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 5:25Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 5:26Speaker 3: Like where you can stream music on Rhapsody.
- 5:28Speaker 2: I forgot about that. And then they rebranded as Napster.
- 5:30Speaker 7: So many people have bought Napster. Last person I think
- 5:34Speaker 7: was like Best Buy or something like that.
- 5:36Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 5:36Speaker 2: And then LimeWire.
- 5:37Speaker 3: LimeWire was the one.
- 5:38Speaker 5: LimeWire.
- 5:39Speaker 2: E-Bombs World.
- 5:40Speaker 3: You guys remember E-Bombs World?
- 5:41Speaker 5: Oh, my God, yes.
- 5:42Speaker 3: I went on that every day. Love it. Chat Roulette.
- 5:45Speaker 8: Yes.
- 5:46Speaker 3: Did not do that.
- 5:47Speaker 2: I knew what chat roulette was. I was never on
- 5:51Speaker 2: or never saw it in person.
- 5:52Speaker 7: We can do it right now.
- 5:53Speaker 2: It's still a thing. There's still that, and there's one
- 5:55Speaker 2: other one. That was the one where it would just
- 5:57Speaker 2: randomly turn on the camera, and sometimes people were just
- 6:01Speaker 2: sitting there tugging, right?
- 6:02Speaker 10: Yeah, isn't there a straight-up sex version of Chatroulette? What's
- 6:05Speaker 10: that one called?
- 6:05Speaker 2: I don't know. I don't know.
- 6:08Speaker 3: OnlyFans?
- 6:08Speaker 2: By the way, sometimes, every fifth thing was a guy
- 6:10Speaker 2: whacking it. I'm saying, if it's still going now, is
- 6:14Speaker 2: that still a thing?
- 6:14Speaker 15: Let's see.
- 6:15Speaker 2: I'm going to go to it right now.
- 6:16Speaker 3: Probably.
- 6:17Speaker 7: Because I'll see clips online of people posting.
- 6:19Speaker 3: I'm still whacking it.
- 6:20Speaker 2: I'm going right now.
- 6:21Speaker 3: Chatroulette.
- 6:22Speaker 2: Yeah, while you're looking for that, a couple other websites
- 6:25Speaker 2: that people said they spent too much time on. Neopets?
- 6:27Speaker 3: I don't remember Neopets.
- 6:28Speaker 11: No.
- 6:30Speaker 2: What about GeoCities?
- 6:33Speaker 7: Oh, yeah, GeoCities helped you build your own website.
- 6:36Speaker 2: Yeah, it was sort of a blogging, like the first blogging.
- 6:38Speaker 7: Yeah, it was basically like, you know, how you hear
- 6:40Speaker 7: about Squarespace and stuff.
- 6:42Speaker 2: I remember when they first told me about blogging.
- 6:45Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 6:45Speaker 2: I go, what the hell? And they're like, oh, it's
- 6:46Speaker 2: kind of like an online journal.
- 6:48Speaker 3: I go, oh, okay. And then it was microblogging. Right,
- 6:51Speaker 3: I remember that term.
- 6:53Speaker 2: Which is Twitter.
- 6:55Speaker 3: Live Journal.
- 6:57Speaker 2: Don't remember that.
- 6:58Speaker 3: Yahoo Games. Did you guys find it?
- 7:01Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm trying to build an account so I can
- 7:03Speaker 2: do it.
- 7:04Speaker 3: Oh, you gotta build it.
- 7:05Speaker 2: Oh, here's somebody. He's in Greece right now.
- 7:07Speaker 7: Hi.
- 7:09Speaker 2: Hello, my lady. Look, there are cheeks on here. Do
- 7:14Speaker 2: you mind if I whack it? You want to see
- 7:16Speaker 2: my penis?
- 7:16Speaker 6: Okay.
- 7:19Speaker 2: All right, time for the birthdays and your porno birthday.
- 7:22Speaker 2: And we'll start with the celebrities. Happy birthday to Jesse Pinkman.
- 7:35Speaker 8: Oh, yeah.
- 7:36Speaker 2: Aaron Paul from Breaking Bad is 47 years old today.
- 7:39Speaker 3: Oh.
- 7:40Speaker 2: Bobo from Cypress Hill is 58.
- 7:42Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 7:42Speaker 3: Menace today is Cesar Millan's birthday.
- 7:45Speaker 2: Cesar Millan.
- 7:46Speaker 6: The dog whisperer.
- 7:47Speaker 12: But apparently he knows nothing and he's stupid and he's
- 7:49Speaker 12: bad for dogs.
- 7:50Speaker 7: Oh, yeah, yeah.
- 7:51Speaker 8: Right?
- 7:51Speaker 2: All these latecomer activists.
- 7:53Speaker 3: I know.
- 7:54Speaker 7: But yeah, I hung out with him for a day
- 7:55Speaker 7: and it was amazing. He was like a drill sergeant.
- 7:58Speaker 7: Like all the dogs just lined up. Like, right next
- 8:01Speaker 7: to him and just following him around everywhere. Well, happy birthday,
- 8:03Speaker 7: Cesar Millan, 57. Sarah Chalk, the new Becky from Roseanne.
- 8:07Speaker 6: Oh, yeah.
- 8:07Speaker 3: She wanted to play Dr. Elliot Reid on Scrubs. She's great.
- 8:11Speaker 2: Dr. Miranda Bailey from Grey's Anatomy. Chandra Wilson is 57.
- 8:16Speaker 2: Sergeant Slaughter.
- 8:17Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 8:18Speaker 2: The old school WWF wrestler. Is that who Half-Pace and
- 8:21Speaker 2: Go Meet?
- 8:22Speaker 7: For the third time.
- 8:24Speaker 6: Oh, dude.
- 8:25Speaker 7: Next time we have Kevin Smith on, he needs to
- 8:28Speaker 7: share Sergeant Slaughter's story. It is so good.
- 8:32Speaker 2: 78 years old today. Mace, the rapper, now preacher. He
- 8:35Speaker 2: works a lot with Sammy's favorite artist, Diddy.
- 8:38Speaker 7: Oh.
- 8:38Speaker 2: Back in the day.
- 8:40Speaker 6: 51.
- 8:40Speaker 2: Tony Canale from No Doubt, the bassist, is 56. Jimmy
- 8:44Speaker 2: Pop from Bloodhound Gang, throwback Thursday.
- 8:46Speaker 6: 54 today.
- 8:48Speaker 2: Alex Pennevega, Carmen in the Spy Kids movies, is 38.
- 8:53Speaker 2: And then Greg, Tom Ford.
- 8:54Speaker 3: Oh, my God. He is an icon.
- 8:58Speaker 2: Not that I'll live to 90, but I could live
- 9:00Speaker 2: to be 90 years old when somebody says Tom Ford,
- 9:02Speaker 2: I will.
- 9:02Speaker 3: Forever think of Greg. Well, babe, I like that.
- 9:06Speaker 2: You like that association?
- 9:07Speaker 3: I do. Thank you.
- 9:08Speaker 7: As you should.
- 9:08Speaker 2: Tom Ford is 65 years old. Butterflies, Tom Ford.
- 9:12Speaker 3: Toilet paper. They're just certain things.
- 9:15Speaker 1: Wow.
- 9:16Speaker 2: Always think about that.
- 9:16Speaker 7: All the good stuff.
- 9:17Speaker 6: Outdoor.
- 9:17Speaker 3: Long dead. You can still think about it.
- 9:19Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 9:20Speaker 7: Umbrellas.
- 9:20Speaker 2: Think about it, man. Butterflies and toilet paper. You see
- 9:23Speaker 2: those toilet papers every.
- 9:24Speaker 3: Day, you know? That's true.
- 9:25Speaker 7: Credences.
- 9:26Speaker 3: Think about me when you caca. Yeah. Tom Ford is 65.
- 9:28Speaker 2: Then your porno burn, Tay-Tay, is Isis Love.
- 9:32Speaker 11: Oh.
- 9:32Speaker 2: That's the name. Very nice.
- 9:33Speaker 3: Isis Love.
- 9:34Speaker 2: Today's birthday girl, unfortunate name, but she's had her back
- 9:38Speaker 2: door smashed in more than a house.
- 9:39Speaker 3: In a bad neighborhood.
- 9:41Speaker 2: 979 fine films on her resume, including Butt Stuff is Cool.
- 9:46Speaker 2: She was in Loca Latina Sluts, Volume 3. Blue Collar Boobs,
- 9:50Speaker 2: Volume 1. Horny Milf Dominates the Gardener. And how. She
- 9:55Speaker 2: was in Mall Cop-A-Feel. A mall movie, Menace.
- 9:58Speaker 3: That's nice. Mall Cop-A-Feel.
- 9:59Speaker 8: Yep.
- 10:00Speaker 2: She was in There's a Whore at My Door.
- 10:01Speaker 7: Is that for Halloween?
- 10:03Speaker 3: I hate when that happens. She was fantastic.
- 10:05Speaker 2: If You Trash This House, I'll F Your Friend.
- 10:08Speaker 4: Oh.
- 10:09Speaker 2: Is that a threat or a promise?
- 10:10Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 10:10Speaker 2: And then Who Can Forget Her Unforgettable Role in Finger Lickin'
- 10:14Speaker 2: Soccer Lesbians.
- 10:15Speaker 6: Sure.
- 10:16Speaker 2: Oh, I forget.
- 10:17Speaker 3: Hell yeah.
- 10:17Speaker 2: That's Isis Love. It was 46 years old today. And
- 10:20Speaker 2: that's your partner birthday and your celebrity birthdays here on
- 10:23Speaker 2: The Woody Show.
- 10:28Speaker 3: I know we were talking about Dolly Parton a lot.
- 10:31Speaker 3: As is everybody.
- 10:33Speaker 2: Yeah, as is everybody else. And she really was known
- 10:37Speaker 2: for having a great sense of humor. There's been so
- 10:39Speaker 2: many clips that have been popping up. You know, different
- 10:42Speaker 2: things that Dolly has said over the years.
- 10:45Speaker 3: She was funny, man.
- 10:46Speaker 2: And also, I saw one interview where they were really
- 10:50Speaker 2: trying to bait her into giving some kind of opinion.
- 10:55Speaker 2: I forget what it was.
- 10:56Speaker 3: I think I know what you mean. Anyway, she's like, look.
- 10:59Speaker 2: She goes, I certainly, like everybody else, I have opinions
- 11:01Speaker 2: about everybody and about everything.
- 11:04Speaker 3: And it's not that I don't have opinions. I certainly
- 11:07Speaker 3: have opinions.
- 11:07Speaker 2: She just chooses. She's like, I'm an entertainer. I keep
- 11:10Speaker 2: all these things to myself. And I thought, man, what
- 11:12Speaker 2: a great answer.
- 11:13Speaker 1: She did.
- 11:14Speaker 10: She won't be tricked into doing that.
- 11:15Speaker 2: So she wasn't pretending like, oh, no, I don't judge people. Oh,
- 11:19Speaker 2: she very much did. She just doesn't share it.
- 11:21Speaker 3: She just doesn't share it.
- 11:22Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly. She didn't pretend like she was better than
- 11:25Speaker 2: anybody in that way. I thought that was very cool. But, man,
- 11:28Speaker 2: there are some really funny moments that people have been
- 11:30Speaker 2: sharing about. Just, you know, she's just fun, man.
- 11:33Speaker 16: If you could tell teenagers of America today one thing,
- 11:36Speaker 16: whether it be advice or something of support, what would
- 11:38Speaker 16: it be?
- 11:39Speaker 15: Act like it's raining every day and wear your rubbers.
- 11:41Speaker 3: Nice.
- 11:44Speaker 15: But anyway, they said I was one of the worst
- 11:46Speaker 15: dressed of all time.
- 11:47Speaker 2: That's all right with me.
- 11:48Speaker 5: I have a good time.
- 11:49Speaker 15: I bet I'm happier than that guy that wrote that.
- 11:53Speaker 12: And I'm glad that he came out of his.
- 11:54Speaker 15: Closet long enough to look in mine. I've always been
- 11:59Speaker 15: proud that I was female. I mean, it's a good
- 12:01Speaker 15: thing I was born a woman or I'd have been
- 12:03Speaker 15: a drag queen. They were having a Dolly Parton lookalike contest,
- 12:08Speaker 15: and it was mostly drag queens, guys down there. And
- 12:11Speaker 15: so I went in, and I got in line with
- 12:13Speaker 15: everybody else, but somebody else won. We went right by
- 12:16Speaker 15: Tom Jones' house. And after about three or four margaritas,
- 12:19Speaker 15: I thought, you know what?
- 12:21Speaker 1: We're right here in his yard.
- 12:22Speaker 2: I'm going to streak through there.
- 12:24Speaker 13: And so I did.
- 12:25Speaker 15: And that was before he built the fence.
- 12:27Speaker 13: Right after that, they built the fence.
- 12:30Speaker 2: Now, the number one Dolly Parton pet peeve.
- 12:33Speaker 17: Nobody notices I've got a great ass, too.
- 12:38Speaker 2: That's fun, man.
- 12:39Speaker 3: That's good.
- 12:40Speaker 10: She has some great one-liners. I love when somebody asked
- 12:43Speaker 10: her how long it takes her to do her hair,
- 12:44Speaker 10: which are wigs.
- 12:45Speaker 2: She goes, I don't know. I'm never around when they
- 12:46Speaker 2: do them.
- 12:47Speaker 7: All right.
- 12:48Speaker 2: So we were wondering, you know, what other celebrities, right? Yeah.
- 12:54Speaker 2: People would be on that level. Now, this isn't exactly that,
- 12:57Speaker 2: but it's a list of older celebrities who that others
- 13:01Speaker 2: are saying, quote, must be protected at all costs. I'm
- 13:04Speaker 2: not sure I agree with all of these. Some of
- 13:06Speaker 2: them we can kind of leave out there. See what happens.
- 13:09Speaker 2: If the vultures get them, they get them, you know?
- 13:11Speaker 2: But let's see how many we agree with. Morgan Freeman.
- 13:14Speaker 8: Agreed.
- 13:15Speaker 2: Yeah, he came up.
- 13:16Speaker 3: He rules.
- 13:16Speaker 2: I think most people love him.
- 13:18Speaker 7: This is not.
- 13:19Speaker 2: I'm only asking the question, must be protected at all costs.
- 13:23Speaker 2: I'm not saying we'll have the same everybody love them
- 13:26Speaker 2: effect that, you know, Dolly Parton, because as we were discussing...
- 13:31Speaker 2: That's few and far between.
- 13:31Speaker 3: All right.
- 13:32Speaker 2: Lily Tomlin. Because Morgan Freeman, by the way, is 89.
- 13:35Speaker 2: Lily Tomlin's 86. Oh, my God.
- 13:38Speaker 7: Really?
- 13:38Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 13:40Speaker 8: Wow.
- 13:40Speaker 3: Lily Tomlin's not really on my radar. I know who
- 13:42Speaker 3: she is.
- 13:43Speaker 2: She also seems like a really fun person. Dick Van Dyke.
- 13:47Speaker 2: I can't believe he's still alive. He'll be 101 at
- 13:49Speaker 2: the end of the year.
- 13:50Speaker 8: Damn.
- 13:50Speaker 2: Yeah. Agree or disagree?
- 13:52Speaker 4: Agree.
- 13:53Speaker 10: I think he's had a good life, so I think
- 13:55Speaker 10: we'd understand if he passed away.
- 13:57Speaker 3: Right.
- 13:57Speaker 2: Everybody will understand if anybody passes away. Well, I just
- 13:59Speaker 2: think it's not going to be a shock.
- 14:00Speaker 11: Oh, my God.
- 14:01Speaker 2: Bubble wrap this person. Protect him at all costs.
- 14:03Speaker 8: Sure.
- 14:04Speaker 2: I would say yes to Dick Van Dyke. Yes to
- 14:06Speaker 2: Morgan Freeman. Yes to Lily Tomlin. Yes to Dick Van Dyke.
- 14:09Speaker 3: Okay, so mega unpopular opinion. I'm saying no to Dick
- 14:11Speaker 3: Van Dyke only because the first thing I think of
- 14:14Speaker 3: with him is musicals.
- 14:16Speaker 7: Oh, okay.
- 14:16Speaker 2: That's why we need to protect him. So what's the downside?
- 14:18Speaker 3: I just don't care. George Takei.
- 14:21Speaker 2: Okay.
- 14:22Speaker 6: He's 89.
- 14:22Speaker 2: Don't care.
- 14:22Speaker 3: Famous for like one thing.
- 14:24Speaker 2: Yeah. I feel like, yeah. I don't know.
- 14:28Speaker 3: And I'm not into Star Trek.
- 14:29Speaker 2: Nice guy, but just kind of overrated.
- 14:31Speaker 7: I think he's funny.
- 14:32Speaker 2: Carol Burnett. I would agree.
- 14:34Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 14:35Speaker 2: She's fun.
- 14:36Speaker 3: Definitely.
- 14:37Speaker 2: George Takei is 89. Carol Burnett, 93. Wow. Mel Brooks,
- 14:40Speaker 2: he's 100.
- 14:41Speaker 1: Yes.
- 14:42Speaker 5: Oh, God.
- 14:43Speaker 3: Loved his movies growing up.
- 14:44Speaker 2: Absolutely not on this next one. William Shatner.
- 14:47Speaker 7: He's been to space.
- 14:48Speaker 2: He's fine.
- 14:49Speaker 3: You know who ruined it for us?
- 14:50Speaker 1: Him.
- 14:51Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 14:52Speaker 3: Meeting him.
- 14:52Speaker 2: He's a dick.
- 14:53Speaker 3: He's a total dick.
- 14:54Speaker 2: He's 95. Sir David Attenborough.
- 14:57Speaker 3: He's still alive?
- 14:58Speaker 7: He's 100.
- 14:59Speaker 2: Whoa.
- 15:00Speaker 7: Sir David Attenborough.
- 15:01Speaker 3: He's the British guy with all the nature videos. What?
- 15:06Speaker 2: Jane Fonda. She's 88.
- 15:07Speaker 14: Nah.
- 15:08Speaker 3: Don't care.
- 15:09Speaker 2: I think a lot of people would disagree.
- 15:10Speaker 3: I've seen her in one movie.
- 15:12Speaker 2: Don't care. Julie Andrews.
- 15:14Speaker 6: Yes.
- 15:14Speaker 5: Please.
- 15:15Speaker 3: I don't care.
- 15:15Speaker 14: For me?
- 15:16Speaker 6: No.
- 15:16Speaker 4: Julie.
- 15:17Speaker 3: She's 90. All musicals like Dick Van Dyke.
- 15:20Speaker 2: Pass.
- 15:20Speaker 5: Boring.
- 15:21Speaker 2: Yeah, now we're really starting to get down to, I
- 15:24Speaker 2: can see maybe one more on here. Okay, so Ian McKellen, 87.
- 15:28Speaker 7: Okay, guess so.
- 15:30Speaker 2: Protected all costs, yes or no?
- 15:31Speaker 1: No.
- 15:32Speaker 6: No.
- 15:33Speaker 2: Judi Dench, I hate, damn Judi Dench. She's a dame.
- 15:36Speaker 3: Bothers you so much. I know, I hate that. Dame
- 15:39Speaker 3: and sir. Sir Paul McCartney, yeah.
- 15:41Speaker 2: Nah, she's 91. Rita Moreno.
- 15:46Speaker 7: Musicals.
- 15:46Speaker 3: I know who she is.
- 15:47Speaker 2: I couldn't tell you one thing. What's that story? Shirley MacLaine, 92.
- 15:51Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 15:51Speaker 2: Let's protect Shirley.
- 15:52Speaker 3: I saw her also in one movie.
- 15:55Speaker 2: Don't know. Jim Magnolias?
- 15:56Speaker 3: Terms of Endearment.
- 15:57Speaker 2: Marla Gibbs.
- 15:58Speaker 4: Yes.
- 15:59Speaker 3: Oh, she's still alive.
- 16:00Speaker 6: Good.
- 16:01Speaker 3: Who's Marla Gibbs?
- 16:01Speaker 15: Florence.
- 16:02Speaker 3: From The Jeffersons.
- 16:03Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 16:03Speaker 2: The Maid? Okay. You didn't watch the Jets? Not really, no.
- 16:07Speaker 15: What?
- 16:07Speaker 10: It wasn't on my Nick at Night schedule.
- 16:09Speaker 7: Really?
- 16:09Speaker 2: Are you kidding?
- 16:10Speaker 3: That seems real.
- 16:10Speaker 2: When were you watching it? Are you one of the
- 16:12Speaker 2: only people of our generation that wasn't watching it? Coming
- 16:14Speaker 2: on up. No, I know. Moving on up. Yeah, moving
- 16:17Speaker 2: on up.
- 16:18Speaker 8: I know.
- 16:18Speaker 2: Coming on up.
- 16:19Speaker 10: It wasn't really on TV when I was watching it.
- 16:22Speaker 3: Michael Caine.
- 16:23Speaker 2: He's 93. Oh, yeah. Protect Michael Caine.
- 16:25Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 16:27Speaker 2: Batman movies on the Christopher Nolan movies.
- 16:29Speaker 3: He seems like a snobby wimp.
- 16:30Speaker 2: Come on, that One Jaws movie he did?
- 16:32Speaker 7: One Jaws movie, yes.
- 16:32Speaker 6: So good.
- 16:33Speaker 7: He's done so much.
- 16:34Speaker 3: Yeah, he's okay.
- 16:37Speaker 5: All right.
- 16:38Speaker 2: Sophia Loren. She's still alive? 91.
- 16:42Speaker 3: Wow.
- 16:42Speaker 2: Will be 92 here in about a month. God bless.
- 16:45Speaker 3: She's somebody who's famous, but I've never seen her in anything.
- 16:47Speaker 3: I know she's an Italian actress.
- 16:48Speaker 2: Old Italian.
- 16:49Speaker 7: Oh, really?
- 16:50Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 16:51Speaker 2: And then William Daniels.
- 16:52Speaker 1: Who?
- 16:53Speaker 3: Who's that?
- 16:53Speaker 8: 99.
- 16:53Speaker 6: Yes.
- 16:53Speaker 2: C-3PO, yeah?
- 16:54Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 16:56Speaker 7: Oh, okay. No, no, no.
- 16:58Speaker 2: William Daniels? No, that's Mr.
- 17:00Speaker 6: Feeney.
- 17:00Speaker 2: Who's William Daniels? Oh!
- 17:03Speaker 8: Who?
- 17:03Speaker 2: Yeah, what's the guy's name, Bort?
- 17:06Speaker 7: Anthony.
- 17:07Speaker 2: What's his name?
- 17:09Speaker 7: Are you talking about C-3PO?
- 17:10Speaker 2: Anthony Daniels is C-3PO. Who's William Daniels?
- 17:14Speaker 11: Mr.
- 17:14Speaker 6: Feeney.
- 17:14Speaker 4: Mr.
- 17:14Speaker 8: Feeney.
- 17:16Speaker 2: Yes. He needs to be protected. Absolutely.
- 17:18Speaker 3: He's 99?
- 17:18Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:19Speaker 3: Yeah, don't care about that.
- 17:21Speaker 13: And he just fought off an intruder from his home
- 17:23Speaker 13: like two years ago.
- 17:24Speaker 2: By the way, when I say don't care about that,
- 17:25Speaker 2: I'm not wishing them dead.
- 17:27Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 17:27Speaker 2: It's just like, do I agree with protect at all costs?
- 17:30Speaker 7: Anthony Daniels, yes. William Daniels, eh.
- 17:33Speaker 6: William.
- 17:33Speaker 3: He was the voice of Kit on Knight Rider.
- 17:35Speaker 2: Oh, that's cool.
- 17:36Speaker 7: Oh, that's right.
- 17:37Speaker 14: Michael.
- 17:38Speaker 2: Oh, I forgot about that.
- 17:40Speaker 7: They should both be protected.
- 17:41Speaker 10: I think I know who the next one is. I've
- 17:44Speaker 10: been thinking about this when you said Tom Hanks and
- 17:46Speaker 10: Keanu Reeves. I think I actually nailed it. Who the
- 17:48Speaker 10: next one is that.
- 17:49Speaker 2: Everybody will freak the F out. Meryl Streep. No. Don't
- 17:56Speaker 2: care about Meryl Streep at all. Yeah, but do you
- 17:58Speaker 2: really care about Dolly Parton? Yeah, because I felt like,
- 18:01Speaker 2: I don't know. I think everybody, like you said, kind
- 18:03Speaker 2: of had something with her. Yeah, and again, no one's
- 18:05Speaker 2: going to touch.
- 18:06Speaker 7: Her personality, her.
- 18:07Speaker 2: Music, her work, her acting, whatever. Or her philanthropy. There
- 18:10Speaker 2: was something about it.
- 18:11Speaker 12: Understood.
- 18:12Speaker 2: We said that. No one's going to touch her rarefied air.
- 18:14Speaker 7: In that way.
- 18:15Speaker 2: I think white women.
- 18:18Speaker 3: Yeah. White women and gay dudes.
- 18:20Speaker 6: Okay.
- 18:21Speaker 5: What about?
- 18:21Speaker 7: People that care about acting.
- 18:22Speaker 2: No, people of that age.
- 18:24Speaker 10: It doesn't matter what political party you're on. I think
- 18:26Speaker 10: everyone's going to love.
- 18:27Speaker 13: I do have another one.
- 18:28Speaker 6: Okay.
- 18:29Speaker 2: Steve Martin. Oh, yeah. I can see that.
- 18:33Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 18:33Speaker 3: That's a good one, Sammy.
- 18:35Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 18:35Speaker 3: Okay.
- 18:36Speaker 15: Sammy.
- 18:36Speaker 2: Steve Martin, for sure.
- 18:37Speaker 7: Yeah, I would agree.
- 18:38Speaker 2: I'll allow it.
- 18:39Speaker 3: Like, I wouldn't find a Steve Martin hater out.
- 18:42Speaker 5: In the world.
- 18:42Speaker 2: No, you don't.
- 18:43Speaker 13: Everyone loves him, and he's just like such a range.
- 18:46Speaker 2: And that's a guy, as we mentioned before, he's been
- 18:48Speaker 2: old my entire life. Yeah, he's been gray since he
- 18:50Speaker 2: was 18. He's been old and gray my entire life.
- 18:52Speaker 2: I'm 50 years old. He's been old my entire life.
- 18:55Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 18:56Speaker 3: And he looks basically the same.
- 18:57Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 18:57Speaker 3: He's an age. I saw the most, ah, babe, Dolly
- 19:01Speaker 3: Parton quote yesterday. I was watching this People Magazine interview
- 19:04Speaker 3: with her. And she was almost 80 at the time
- 19:07Speaker 3: of the interview. And they said, what do you want
- 19:09Speaker 3: to be remembered for? And she said, I've always thought,
- 19:11Speaker 3: I don't think about what my life can be. I
- 19:13Speaker 3: think about what my life can do. And I thought, oh, babe.
- 19:16Speaker 2: She's magical.
- 19:17Speaker 3: So nice.
- 19:18Speaker 2: The Wish. And we go and we check in with
- 19:23Speaker 2: Gina Grad. She's got the trending news headlines.
- 19:26Speaker 10: Well, that giant lawsuit against Meta we've been following, it's
- 19:30Speaker 10: over for $ 17 billion. 29 states accused Facebook and Instagram
- 19:35Speaker 10: of deliberately designing their apps to keep kids addicted. So
- 19:38Speaker 10: Meta is going to pay up and make changes to
- 19:40Speaker 10: protect younger users. So they actually got off kind of easy,
- 19:43Speaker 10: by the way, because the damages could have reached the
- 19:46Speaker 10: hundreds of billions of dollars.
- 19:48Speaker 2: So this is a pretty good deal. But what?
- 19:50Speaker 15: 18 billion?
- 19:51Speaker 2: Yeah, 17 billion.
- 19:52Speaker 7: 17 billion.
- 19:52Speaker 2: But again, where does that money go?
- 19:54Speaker 10: I'm going to tell you. We have that information. So
- 19:57Speaker 10: now people aren't going to get it individually. You can't
- 19:59Speaker 10: file for an individual class action suit. But they are
- 20:03Speaker 10: going to allegedly put that money into state programs to
- 20:07Speaker 10: help phone addicted youth.
- 20:09Speaker 2: Sure.
- 20:11Speaker 11: Good.
- 20:11Speaker 3: Money well spent.
- 20:12Speaker 2: Sure, Jan.
- 20:13Speaker 3: And I wonder who will get those contracts. Oh, my God.
- 20:16Speaker 7: Friends and family.
- 20:17Speaker 2: Friends and family of the politicians who are involved.
- 20:20Speaker 3: Oh, stupid. And it'll be pointless. We'll put it into programs.
- 20:25Speaker 3: How vague and stupid.
- 20:26Speaker 6: Right.
- 20:26Speaker 8: Right.
- 20:27Speaker 7: But shout out to Meta, who has $ 17 billion, to
- 20:29Speaker 7: be like, all right, let's just make this go away.
- 20:32Speaker 3: How ironic if these kids get addicted to these programs.
- 20:34Speaker 2: Like pickleball.
- 20:36Speaker 3: God, how dumb.
- 20:37Speaker 2: You know what I thought would be interesting? I was thinking, like,
- 20:39Speaker 2: what could you do where the public would be legitimately interested?
- 20:43Speaker 2: And you could probably even raise more money for different
- 20:46Speaker 2: things that you need money for, right? So you get $ 18,
- 20:49Speaker 2: $ 17 billion, whatever.
- 20:50Speaker 3: Okay.
- 20:51Speaker 2: So you divide it up. We're going to put up
- 20:52Speaker 2: $ 20 million. $ 1 million tax-free prizes.
- 20:57Speaker 6: Oh.
- 20:57Speaker 7: That'd be cool.
- 20:59Speaker 2: And then if you're interested, you know, in the states
- 21:02Speaker 2: that got this settlement, you could buy a ticket, like
- 21:06Speaker 2: a raffle ticket. And they basically raffled off. Your ticket
- 21:10Speaker 2: is like $ 10. Think about how many people, kind of
- 21:11Speaker 2: like the regular lottery, right?
- 21:13Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 21:13Speaker 2: But now it's $ 4. So you'll end up getting a
- 21:15Speaker 2: lot more money. More than just giving away that million.
- 21:18Speaker 3: Correct.
- 21:19Speaker 1: Right.
- 21:19Speaker 3: And you break it up into. And then use that
- 21:20Speaker 3: money for actual good stuff.
- 21:22Speaker 2: Yes.
- 21:23Speaker 3: Like roads.
- 21:24Speaker 2: Like quote unquote programs. Things that you need in town.
- 21:26Speaker 2: Something for the schools. You can hire, maybe get that
- 21:28Speaker 2: new fire truck. Yeah, that'd be good. Just things like that.
- 21:32Speaker 2: Like take the money to make more money.
- 21:35Speaker 3: See, I think that's a legit great idea. Thank you, Greg.
- 21:38Speaker 3: Life doesn't have to be so complicated and this government
- 21:41Speaker 3: crap doesn't have to be so complicated.
- 21:43Speaker 2: Do that. So the public at large gets some kind
- 21:46Speaker 2: of benefit out of it. Because these settlements, of course
- 21:49Speaker 2: they push for it because they're the ones who are
- 21:51Speaker 2: going to benefit.
- 21:51Speaker 8: Right.
- 21:52Speaker 2: They get to grease their friends, their people that they
- 21:55Speaker 2: work with. And then none of us ever really see any.
- 21:58Speaker 2: What program is this going to be? Who do you
- 22:00Speaker 2: know is ever going to be a part of this
- 22:02Speaker 2: program or enrolled in this program?
- 22:04Speaker 7: Yes, Jeff.
- 22:05Speaker 18: I was going to say that the funny part about
- 22:06Speaker 18: this lawsuit, too, is they also are saying they're going
- 22:08Speaker 18: to put restrictions on teen accounts. Not only is this
- 22:12Speaker 18: money never going to be seen. Supposedly, Meta's going to
- 22:15Speaker 18: put restrictions on teen accounts, but.
- 22:16Speaker 2: They have their head up their ass.
- 22:17Speaker 3: They already had that.
- 22:18Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 22:18Speaker 18: They have their head up their ass because my kids
- 22:19Speaker 18: have had regular accounts since they were 12. They never
- 22:21Speaker 18: touched a teen account. When they go to sign up,
- 22:24Speaker 18: they just say they're 18 at the fake birthday, and they.
- 22:26Speaker 2: Keep it moving.
- 22:27Speaker 18: So it's like, this whole thing is just garbage.
- 22:30Speaker 7: Yeah, it's all a show. Now, if you did break
- 22:32Speaker 7: down $ 17 billion across every American... each American would get $ 50.
- 22:38Speaker 7: But if you did adults, it would be $ 65.
- 22:41Speaker 2: Well, now do it in just those, what is it,
- 22:43Speaker 2: 29 states? How many people in those 29 states do
- 22:46Speaker 2: it that way? Yeah, so about half.
- 22:48Speaker 7: That's a little bit more math.
- 22:49Speaker 6: Right.
- 22:49Speaker 2: You get back to us on that.
- 22:52Speaker 10: Well, the NFL is officially killing the Pro Bowl game.
- 22:56Speaker 10: They still name 88 players as Pro Bowlers, but there's
- 22:58Speaker 10: no game, no flag football, no skills competition.
- 23:01Speaker 2: No alternates either.
- 23:02Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 23:03Speaker 2: But you don't need them because you're not really actually
- 23:04Speaker 2: playing a game.
- 23:05Speaker 10: Well, instead, players will come to L.A. for a celebration
- 23:08Speaker 10: during what used to be Pro Bowl weekend. The NFL
- 23:11Speaker 10: says players told them being named a Pro Bowler means
- 23:13Speaker 10: way more than actually playing. So after trying tackle football,
- 23:17Speaker 10: flag football, skills competitions, they finally found the format that
- 23:21Speaker 10: everybody wanted, which was just no game.
- 23:23Speaker 7: Yeah, they just want activations. Look at the Fanatics Fest thing.
- 23:27Speaker 7: That was huge. People really enjoyed that.
- 23:29Speaker 2: They wanted what?
- 23:31Speaker 12: What?
- 23:31Speaker 2: Activations.
- 23:32Speaker 7: Activations.
- 23:32Speaker 2: Like games and experiences. See, I know what that means.
- 23:36Speaker 3: I hear that a lot.
- 23:36Speaker 2: Have you noticed that?
- 23:37Speaker 7: Yes, I generally do. But no, it's like I read
- 23:41Speaker 7: some research that people actually know what that is now.
- 23:43Speaker 2: They do?
- 23:44Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 23:44Speaker 2: Like the public at large knows what an activation is.
- 23:47Speaker 7: Yeah, because remember when we used to say BOGOs and
- 23:50Speaker 7: like no one knew what that was? Eventually, it like.
- 23:53Speaker 13: It was in a Payless commercial.
- 23:54Speaker 7: Yeah, people started... I thought Payless came up with that.
- 23:58Speaker 7: I'm right there with you, but I've been told... by
- 24:01Speaker 7: the general public knows what activation is now.
- 24:05Speaker 10: I just think of it as like experiences in games.
- 24:07Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 24:07Speaker 3: Right. Winning a key chain.
- 24:09Speaker 7: Yeah. They want to go to like an event where
- 24:12Speaker 7: they can get free stuff.
- 24:13Speaker 2: Because again, it goes back to, you know, that inside,
- 24:16Speaker 2: you know, inside lingo, restaurant lingo. like in drag it
- 24:21Speaker 2: through the weeds yeah you talk to let us on
- 24:23Speaker 2: it yeah you talk to people who work in restaurants
- 24:25Speaker 2: they use that in their everyday life yeah and people
- 24:27Speaker 2: like who don't work in restaurants they go i i
- 24:29Speaker 2: don't know what.
- 24:30Speaker 19: You're talking about what do you mean 86 people like
- 24:33Speaker 19: businesses or you know like uh you know businesses like
- 24:36Speaker 19: our industries like ours who do a lot of things
- 24:38Speaker 19: with these clients and like so we'll have whoever it
- 24:41Speaker 19: is uh and then they'll have the woody show out
- 24:43Speaker 19: there and while you're out there, we're going to, and
- 24:45Speaker 19: they'll put it in their commercials about like, oh, there's
- 24:48Speaker 19: going to be, there's going to be live music and activations.
- 24:50Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 24:51Speaker 2: Go meet in front of the step and repeat.
- 24:53Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 24:55Speaker 2: It's like, what?
- 24:56Speaker 7: Now, does every single person on the planet know it?
- 24:58Speaker 7: I don't think so, but.
- 25:00Speaker 10: Well, now we all know.
- 25:01Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 25:01Speaker 3: My question for Jeff. So the NFL, they tried the
- 25:04Speaker 3: flag football. Now they're taking away the Pro Bowl. They're
- 25:07Speaker 3: talking about making an international team, right? Does the NFL
- 25:11Speaker 3: not realize, you guys, it's not broken. There's nothing wrong
- 25:14Speaker 3: with the NFL.
- 25:15Speaker 2: They're getting greedy. They want more.
- 25:16Speaker 6: It's the most.
- 25:17Speaker 3: Popular thing on the planet.
- 25:18Speaker 7: But they want more, right?
- 25:19Speaker 18: And they just want to build on that and build
- 25:20Speaker 18: on that and build on that and build on that.
- 25:22Speaker 3: What are you fixing? Nothing's broken.
- 25:24Speaker 7: Yeah, it's just about greed, basically.
- 25:27Speaker 3: World dominance.
- 25:28Speaker 2: I think they're okay with the Pro Bowl going away
- 25:30Speaker 2: because nobody really cared. Nobody really cared to attend, right?
- 25:33Speaker 2: And they've built the draft out to be a much
- 25:36Speaker 2: bigger deal. The Combine is even a bigger deal now.
- 25:39Speaker 2: So they don't need the Pro Bowl, and then they
- 25:41Speaker 2: can work on these other things that are showing growth.
- 25:44Speaker 7: Now, Greg, you say it's the most popular thing on
- 25:46Speaker 7: the planet.
- 25:47Speaker 3: Well, that's just– I'm hyperbolic.
- 25:48Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.
- 25:49Speaker 7: But they see what soccer does and they get this
- 25:54Speaker 7: worldwide money. Sure. They want to grow it. They're never
- 25:57Speaker 7: going to catch soccer by breaking news.
- 25:59Speaker 3: They never will.
- 26:00Speaker 7: Yeah, but they want to grow it outside of America
- 26:02Speaker 7: to make even more money.
- 26:03Speaker 3: It just seems like they're always tweaking something. Like, just
- 26:06Speaker 3: leave it.
- 26:07Speaker 10: Well, the Lindsay Clancy murder trial is almost in the
- 26:09Speaker 10: hands of the jury. Testimony officially wrapped yesterday after 85
- 26:14Speaker 10: witnesses and closing arguments are happening today. So, as we
- 26:17Speaker 10: all know at this point, Lindsay Clancy is accused of
- 26:19Speaker 10: killing her three young children in 2023, but her lawyers
- 26:23Speaker 10: say she was suffering from postpartum psychosis and wasn't legally
- 26:27Speaker 10: responsible for what she did.
- 26:28Speaker 2: She's not accused of killing her kids.
- 26:29Speaker 6: No, she did.
- 26:30Speaker 3: She did it.
- 26:30Speaker 2: Yeah, now they're trying to figure... Well, well... No, she
- 26:33Speaker 2: did it.
- 26:33Speaker 6: You.
- 26:35Speaker 2: Are we talking about the conspiracy theories about the husband
- 26:38Speaker 2: did it? That's exactly what I was going to say.
- 26:39Speaker 3: You bitches need to stop it.
- 26:41Speaker 10: Actually, he framed her.
- 26:42Speaker 2: Like, come on, bitch.
- 26:45Speaker 10: So prosecutors spent the trial pushing back that Clancy knew
- 26:50Speaker 10: exactly what she was doing. Once both sides make their
- 26:53Speaker 10: final argument today, the jury will get the case and
- 26:55Speaker 10: decide whether this was a murder or a mother in
- 26:58Speaker 10: the middle of a psychiatric crisis.
- 27:00Speaker 2: We'll see what happens. Well, the death toll.
- 27:02Speaker 10: Continues to rise, and at least 63 Americans are missing
- 27:06Speaker 10: after that flooding in Nepal. If you haven't seen this video,
- 27:10Speaker 10: it's actually pretty hard to watch, but it is unbelievable.
- 27:13Speaker 10: This massive landslide sent water and mud just ripping through
- 27:17Speaker 10: villages near Tibet. It washed away homes and roads and
- 27:20Speaker 10: bridges and bad weathers, making the rescue efforts even harder.
- 27:24Speaker 10: And I don't even think that paints the full picture
- 27:26Speaker 10: of just this.
- 27:27Speaker 2: Wall of water that came down. It just looked like
- 27:29Speaker 2: a movie. It does not look real.
- 27:31Speaker 3: In this day and age where everything is on video
- 27:32Speaker 3: and we've seen the worst of the worst, this is the...
- 27:35Speaker 3: The number one most unbelievable footage.
- 27:39Speaker 2: Agreed.
- 27:40Speaker 3: Of my entire life.
- 27:41Speaker 10: There's a few different camera angles, I guess, from the
- 27:43Speaker 10: Chinese CCTV. And one of them, it just literally, it
- 27:48Speaker 10: looks CGI.
- 27:49Speaker 3: It does.
- 27:49Speaker 2: It's black, like black water.
- 27:52Speaker 7: Taller than skyscrapers.
- 27:54Speaker 10: So the State Department is working with Nepal to locate
- 27:56Speaker 10: the missing Americans. But unfortunately, with hundreds still accounted for,
- 28:00Speaker 10: the death toll is going to rise. And remember the
- 28:03Speaker 10: great toilet paper hoarding of 2020 during COVID?
- 28:06Speaker 2: How could any of us forget? That was insane.
- 28:09Speaker 3: Makes me embarrassed to be human.
- 28:10Speaker 2: Same. Well, with the U.S.
- 28:11Speaker 10: Government doing this trade war with Canada, Canada wants to
- 28:15Speaker 10: match the tariffs dollar for dollar starting September 8th. The
- 28:18Speaker 10: problem is their paper products, like toilet paper, will be
- 28:21Speaker 10: one of the hardest hit sectors.
- 28:24Speaker 1: I know!
- 28:24Speaker 2: Get a stick and a washcloth. Or a butt-washing toilet paper. Yeah, right, exactly.
- 28:29Speaker 10: So a lot of American toilet paper and tissue is
- 28:31Speaker 10: made in the USA, but what's it made out of?
- 28:34Speaker 10: They heavily rely on Canadian raw materials like timber and
- 28:37Speaker 10: wood pulp. So Woody's favorite teepee brand, Costco's Kirkland, sources
- 28:42Speaker 10: much of theirs from Canada. And Procter & Gamble are
- 28:46Speaker 10: makers of Charmin. They'll raise prices to counteract the tariffs.
- 28:48Speaker 2: So it's not a shortage. It's just a.
- 28:51Speaker 7: Supply chain issue.
- 28:52Speaker 3: Like everything else, a price hike.
- 28:55Speaker 2: Exactly. Hope you can afford toilet paper. This is The
- 29:00Speaker 2: Woody Show.
- 29:02Speaker 3: Should we dig into the archives?
- 29:05Speaker 7: Hell yeah.
- 29:05Speaker 3: Always.
- 29:06Speaker 2: We do this every once in a while. Greg to
- 29:10Speaker 2: just open up. We keep track.
- 29:14Speaker 3: Basically everything we do.
- 29:15Speaker 2: So like, oh, on this day at this time, we
- 29:18Speaker 2: did this contest and the contest worked this way. It's
- 29:22Speaker 2: for our own memory because there's so many things that
- 29:25Speaker 2: happen on a daily basis.
- 29:27Speaker 3: Yeah, there's quite a variety of what we did many
- 29:29Speaker 3: years ago. Oh, yeah.
- 29:31Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 29:31Speaker 3: And so Greg has kept a log, an archive. Yeah. Today.
- 29:37Speaker 3: notes we're looking at this day yeah we have an
- 29:39Speaker 3: option for you we have five years ago six years
- 29:42Speaker 3: ago and even 12 years ago we remembered a wide
- 29:44Speaker 3: variety of random crap go for.
- 29:46Speaker 2: The oldest one 12 years today 12 years ago well
- 29:50Speaker 2: what were we doing.
- 29:51Speaker 3: I like how we titled this good news, bad news,
- 29:54Speaker 3: because I don't see where the good news is. It's
- 29:57Speaker 3: only bad news. Head-on collision involving, of all people, a
- 30:02Speaker 3: husband and a wife. Both killed.
- 30:05Speaker 7: How is that good news, bad news? Isn't that how
- 30:09Speaker 7: we took bad news and then we try to make
- 30:11Speaker 7: it good?
- 30:11Speaker 3: No. It just says good news, bad news.
- 30:14Speaker 10: Was he like a mass murderer and needed to be stopped?
- 30:15Speaker 3: No, we used to.
- 30:16Speaker 7: Do silver lining.
- 30:18Speaker 3: No, because I would have labeled that silver lining story.
- 30:21Speaker 3: This was just good news, bad news. Husband and wife.
- 30:23Speaker 10: Good news, your wife died.
- 30:25Speaker 13: Bad news, so did you.
- 30:26Speaker 2: We've skimmed that cat a thousand different ways. We used
- 30:29Speaker 2: to have Greg try to find a story that was
- 30:31Speaker 2: just like, there's no way you could. find a way
- 30:34Speaker 2: to dog on it or to take issue with anything
- 30:37Speaker 2: in the story. And man, are we talented because we
- 30:40Speaker 2: really figured out how.
- 30:41Speaker 3: To do it.
- 30:42Speaker 6: Totally.
- 30:42Speaker 3: So on this day 12 years ago, we played Craigslist
- 30:45Speaker 3: Prices Right and the item up for bid was synthetic urine.
- 30:49Speaker 2: Okay.
- 30:50Speaker 3: We had a huge debate on this day 12 years ago.
- 30:53Speaker 3: It says, Greg is too passionate about friends and the
- 30:57Speaker 3: great debate, who's hotter? Rachel or Monica? That was a
- 31:03Speaker 3: big argument.
- 31:04Speaker 2: Well, you say Monica, right?
- 31:06Speaker 3: Absolutely.
- 31:07Speaker 2: He's a big Courtney Cox.
- 31:08Speaker 3: Rachel.
- 31:09Speaker 2: Way hard.
- 31:09Speaker 7: Monica's just more classically good looking.
- 31:12Speaker 2: You know what? I mean, I watched He-Man, but I
- 31:14Speaker 2: never got a boner for Skeletor.
- 31:17Speaker 3: How dare you?
- 31:17Speaker 2: He has daddy vibes.
- 31:19Speaker 7: You're talking about late in life.
- 31:22Speaker 8: No. Right.
- 31:23Speaker 2: I watched Friends when it was on Menace.
- 31:25Speaker 3: Early in life. I understood the assignments. Craigslist Freak of
- 31:29Speaker 3: the Week, we had the MILF and the gangbang granny,
- 31:33Speaker 3: a 78-year-old woman who recently got into gangbangs and loves them.
- 31:39Speaker 2: You weren't around for Craigslist.
- 31:41Speaker 10: Freaking no i'm so sad.
- 31:43Speaker 2: Yeah so i mean that that's a bit man we
- 31:46Speaker 2: did this back in what 2007 uh we used to
- 31:50Speaker 2: go on like the air like right and when we
- 31:53Speaker 2: first get on the air in the morning we would
- 31:55Speaker 2: go on craigslist to see who was available and what
- 31:57Speaker 2: they were looking for right now all right so in
- 31:59Speaker 2: this moment here's what's happening and oh here's a guy
- 32:02Speaker 2: He's looking for someone to XYZ. Oh, the good old days. Yeah.
- 32:06Speaker 2: And people would play along. They'd go on Craigslist and
- 32:08Speaker 2: they'd see these ads as we were discovering them of
- 32:10Speaker 2: what people were posting right then in that moment.
- 32:12Speaker 3: I love that.
- 32:13Speaker 2: And then it kind of developed into we would then
- 32:15Speaker 2: scour through all of them, all the missed connections, the
- 32:18Speaker 2: casual encounters, and find the weirdest ones in any given week.
- 32:21Speaker 2: And then we made it into a competition, the Craigslist
- 32:23Speaker 2: Freak of the Week. And then Craigslist had to go
- 32:25Speaker 2: and ruin our fun.
- 32:26Speaker 6: They did.
- 32:26Speaker 3: And they really cracked down.
- 32:28Speaker 2: On all that missed connection, casual encounter stuff.
- 32:30Speaker 3: I mean, I did that bit.
- 32:31Speaker 2: Four years. I took it from when we did it
- 32:34Speaker 2: in San Francisco, and then I brought it to when
- 32:37Speaker 2: I did the show with my buddy Rizzuto in St.
- 32:39Speaker 3: Louis, and then I brought it here.
- 32:41Speaker 2: And they ruined everything. To this show. And we opened
- 32:44Speaker 2: it up to other things, back pages and things like that.
- 32:46Speaker 3: Misconnection.
- 32:47Speaker 10: Yeah, because it would be like, I'll go give you
- 32:50Speaker 10: a mouth party for 40 roses.
- 32:52Speaker 7: Like, okay.
- 32:53Speaker 20: Yeah.
- 32:53Speaker 2: They start changing all the language.
- 32:54Speaker 6: Oh, yeah.
- 32:55Speaker 2: The language was roses. No, you should have heard some
- 32:56Speaker 2: of this stuff.
- 32:57Speaker 1: All right.
- 32:58Speaker 3: Now, going up against this 78-year-old granny who just got
- 33:01Speaker 3: into gangbangs was a 91-year-old woman who had a 30-year-old boyfriend.
- 33:04Speaker 2: Oh, hot cougar.
- 33:06Speaker 3: Now, this day six years ago, we also did a
- 33:08Speaker 3: Freak of the Week. Man for anyone, sneeze on my
- 33:14Speaker 3: naked body while I Joe.
- 33:16Speaker 2: I would do that happily.
- 33:19Speaker 3: And then this person posted in the rants and raves section,
- 33:22Speaker 3: which I forgot existed.
- 33:24Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 33:25Speaker 3: I hate my neighbors, so I need your caca to
- 33:28Speaker 3: put in their yard.
- 33:29Speaker 7: Oh, wow.
- 33:30Speaker 3: This guy, I think, was asking people, can you just put.
- 33:33Speaker 7: It in a bucket?
- 33:34Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, more than he could produce.
- 33:36Speaker 3: You know?
- 33:36Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 33:37Speaker 3: We also had a neighbor beef. Arkansas farmer is beefing
- 33:42Speaker 3: with his neighbor farmer. So he, the neighbor, eventually died,
- 33:46Speaker 3: and the farmer was busted vandalizing the guy's grave with
- 33:49Speaker 3: dead animals. I mean, Greg's notes are very thorough, as
- 33:52Speaker 3: you can hear. Redneck news on this day six years ago.
- 33:55Speaker 3: A guy drove his car through a Walmart, told the
- 33:57Speaker 3: police he wanted to burn it down because he's the
- 34:00Speaker 3: devil on a mission from hell.
- 34:01Speaker 8: Nice.
- 34:01Speaker 2: Hell yeah.
- 34:03Speaker 3: We did Cameo on the Cheapo that day as well
- 34:05Speaker 3: with reality TV stars Farrah Abraham and Vicki Gunvalson, the
- 34:12Speaker 3: voice of Squidward.
- 34:13Speaker 2: Squidward?
- 34:14Speaker 3: Squidward.
- 34:15Speaker 2: That's a bizarre matchup.
- 34:16Speaker 3: Squidward, yeah. And the winner was Farrah Abraham.
- 34:19Speaker 2: Oh, lucky you.
- 34:20Speaker 3: She was cheaper. Yeah, I think we got a... Cameo
- 34:23Speaker 3: from Farrah Abraham. Let's see.
- 34:24Speaker 7: That rules.
- 34:25Speaker 2: At the height of her power?
- 34:27Speaker 3: Yep, we sure did.
- 34:27Speaker 2: You want to hear it? Yeah. All right, here we go.
- 34:29Speaker 10: Hey, it's your girl Farrah, and I am sending my
- 34:33Speaker 10: love to my favorite show on the radio, and of
- 34:36Speaker 10: course it's a Woody show.
- 34:39Speaker 2: Love you guys. Hello, hello. And I know that some
- 34:44Speaker 2: like my acting like Reby.
- 34:46Speaker 9: Others might love my singing like Greg.
- 34:49Speaker 6: And....
- 34:52Speaker 2: I think someone might want to hook up with you.
- 34:53Speaker 2: Maybe it's, like, Menace. I don't know. But no matter
- 34:57Speaker 2: what part of Farrah you love, I just wanted to
- 35:00Speaker 2: say I love you guys all.
- 35:02Speaker 3: And whether you want to be a teen mom yourself one.
- 35:04Speaker 2: Day, thank you for letting me be.
- 35:07Speaker 10: Your inspiration and love your life.
- 35:09Speaker 2: Love you guys. Kidding.
- 35:12Speaker 6: Bye.
- 35:13Speaker 3: Bye.
- 35:14Speaker 2: Okay.
- 35:15Speaker 7: Wow.
- 35:16Speaker 2: Hey, she brought the energy.
- 35:17Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 35:17Speaker 2: That's back when teen mom was good, right, Menace? Yeah,
- 35:20Speaker 2: for sure.
- 35:21Speaker 3: Uh-huh.
- 35:22Speaker 5: Farrah.
- 35:22Speaker 7: All the OGs.
- 35:23Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 35:24Speaker 7: Yeah, dude. So I don't know if Farrah actually listens
- 35:27Speaker 7: to the show or something, but when she was doing
- 35:29Speaker 7: that comedy show, I put it in my- She did comedy? Yeah, yeah.
- 35:33Speaker 7: I talked about it in my monologue. And so I
- 35:36Speaker 7: mentioned it in my monologue. And then you know how
- 35:39Speaker 7: on Instagram you can view who's- like watching her stories,
- 35:43Speaker 7: like she watched the stories, not it.
- 35:46Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 35:47Speaker 3: Oh my God.
- 35:47Speaker 7: It's like we know her, right, Craig? Yeah, but I
- 35:49Speaker 7: don't know, like how did she catch wind about that?
- 35:52Speaker 13: Maybe someone sent it to her.
- 35:53Speaker 3: But you know how, Woody, you just said it's weird
- 35:55Speaker 3: that Jeff G, you wouldn't peg him as a person
- 35:57Speaker 3: that watches Bailen out loud? I would never think that
- 36:01Speaker 3: you liked Teen Mom. Oh, 100%.
- 36:03Speaker 2: You know why?
- 36:03Speaker 3: Because it was- Never.
- 36:05Speaker 2: When it first came out, right, it was brand new.
- 36:09Speaker 2: People were talking about it much like they talk about
- 36:11Speaker 2: any of these other shows. And somebody said to me, dude,
- 36:13Speaker 2: it is redneck news on television. I mean, that's kind
- 36:17Speaker 2: of true. And I checked it out and it was like,
- 36:19Speaker 2: oh my God. It was like a car wreck that
- 36:22Speaker 2: for whatever reason I couldn't turn away from. And my
- 36:25Speaker 2: wife was into it. I'm like, who are these people?
- 36:29Speaker 2: It was out of no admiration whatsoever out of just
- 36:33Speaker 2: pure horror and judging. Right, but the fact that you
- 36:35Speaker 2: stuck with it. Yeah, well, we did for that first like...
- 36:39Speaker 2: Those first couple seasons.
- 36:40Speaker 7: And I'll say this. And this happens with a lot
- 36:42Speaker 7: of reality shows. Like, these people are filming it before
- 36:45Speaker 7: they become famous. So it's, like, it's really truly them.
- 36:49Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 36:50Speaker 2: Before it becomes the character.
- 36:53Speaker 7: And becoming, you know, trying to become brands.
- 36:55Speaker 3: Very true.
- 36:56Speaker 7: And it is, like, teenagers trying to be parents. And,
- 36:59Speaker 7: you know, they're out of their mind. And they're, like,
- 37:01Speaker 7: they don't, they have no filter.
- 37:03Speaker 11: Right.
- 37:03Speaker 7: You know, so it was very interesting.
- 37:04Speaker 3: That's why season one of Baelin is just more pure. Yeah, true.
- 37:08Speaker 2: Which, by the way, somebody said, because I know you
- 37:10Speaker 2: like that, did you watch the wedding?
- 37:12Speaker 3: I did.
- 37:12Speaker 2: You said, bring your tissues when you watch the wedding.
- 37:15Speaker 2: It's a real tearjerker.
- 37:16Speaker 7: Can we talk about the wedding real quick? Because there's
- 37:19Speaker 7: one part of it that I want to ask.
- 37:20Speaker 8: What?
- 37:22Speaker 7: So did you see the part before she walked down
- 37:25Speaker 7: the aisle, she met with her dad, and they're all crying,
- 37:27Speaker 7: and then they met with the... I thought you're not
- 37:29Speaker 7: supposed to see the bride at all.
- 37:32Speaker 2: That's what I thought, because just the groom.
- 37:34Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 37:34Speaker 7: The groom can't see the bride before.
- 37:36Speaker 3: Cannot.
- 37:36Speaker 2: No, cannot.
- 37:36Speaker 7: Right, but she did. But she met with the groom, too.
- 37:38Speaker 3: She went to Colin.
- 37:39Speaker 7: I guess you're allowed to do whatever you want.
- 37:41Speaker 6: Turn around.
- 37:41Speaker 7: I guess this is a new thing, because they want
- 37:44Speaker 7: to have all the emotions out.
- 37:47Speaker 3: I guess.
- 37:48Speaker 7: Or the photos later.
- 37:49Speaker 13: A lot of people, yeah, do a first look.
- 37:52Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 37:52Speaker 13: It's very common. It's called a first look.
- 37:54Speaker 3: Oh, I have heard about that.
- 37:55Speaker 2: Actually, we did that. We did that a lot of times.
- 37:57Speaker 9: It's to do the pictures before the wedding so that
- 38:00Speaker 9: you're not taken up all during the reception and all.
- 38:02Speaker 13: That other time to do pictures.
- 38:04Speaker 3: First look.
- 38:06Speaker 7: I didn't know that was a thing.
- 38:07Speaker 3: More Woody shows next.
- 38:08Speaker 2: The Woody Show. Woody Show. We'll be right back.
- 38:13Speaker 10: You are like the male equivalent of a basic bitch.
- 38:16Speaker 12: Basic means you will go with the most basic popular
- 38:20Speaker 12: option and you have no thoughts or originality in your brain.
- 38:22Speaker 2: You just go for what everyone else is doing.
- 38:24Speaker 6: Basic.
- 38:25Speaker 2: The Woody Show. Well, you know what I would like
- 38:30Speaker 2: an update on?
- 38:31Speaker 3: I would like an update on your.
- 38:37Speaker 2: What do we call it? The Seabass Shark Tank thing.
- 38:40Speaker 2: He had $ 16, 000 of a settlement from the company that
- 38:43Speaker 2: was supposed to collect all the signatures. for his city
- 38:46Speaker 2: council run. And then they didn't do that. He had
- 38:49Speaker 2: to take them to court.
- 38:51Speaker 3: And he won. He won.
- 38:52Speaker 2: He got the money. And so now he's trying to
- 38:54Speaker 2: figure out, well, what to do with this money? Because
- 38:56Speaker 2: in his mind, he already had it spent. It was
- 38:58Speaker 2: already gone. He won, but society lost.
- 39:01Speaker 3: So let's make society win again.
- 39:03Speaker 2: And people are calling it Nark Tank, which I like.
- 39:05Speaker 2: Nark Tank. I don't want to put that in people's
- 39:08Speaker 2: minds too much.
- 39:08Speaker 3: Because it's not just Cartnarks.
- 39:09Speaker 12: I don't want to pigeonhole this to just Cartnarks.
- 39:11Speaker 2: It could be anything in the world.
- 39:13Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 39:13Speaker 2: So we had extended the deadline for people to submit
- 39:18Speaker 2: their ideas.
- 39:19Speaker 3: So how's that going? Any new ones? The variety is good.
- 39:22Speaker 2: I will say this. We had a lot of stuff.
- 39:24Speaker 2: For instance, this is from Lexi for only $ 400. Oh,
- 39:27Speaker 2: dropping the price.
- 39:30Speaker 8: Bucket.
- 39:30Speaker 2: I'll make you and the show a personalized quilt.
- 39:33Speaker 19: Oh!
- 39:33Speaker 2: That's not hard. I mean, that's pretty hard.
- 39:35Speaker 3: That's a world change. You get to choose the fabrics.
- 39:37Speaker 2: You get to choose the logos. I'll do all kinds
- 39:40Speaker 2: of patchwork.
- 39:41Speaker 3: You like that idea?
- 39:42Speaker 12: I like it for the variety. I was not expecting
- 39:45Speaker 12: quilts to be part of the purchase.
- 39:46Speaker 2: I think it's a very sweet offer. I'll make you
- 39:49Speaker 2: a quilt. I wouldn't think that would be something that
- 39:51Speaker 2: Seabass would find. I will not be choosing that. She's
- 39:53Speaker 2: basically just selling you a quilt. Quilts are expensive. They
- 39:56Speaker 2: take a long time to make. Like $ 400.
- 39:58Speaker 12: This is an interesting one. This is much, God wrote
- 40:01Speaker 12: like five paragraphs. I want to do a, for $ 16, 000,
- 40:04Speaker 12: I want to do a two-week intensive pick-up slash dating
- 40:09Speaker 12: camp for divorced Gen X dads.
- 40:11Speaker 2: Oh my God. I'd love to hear about that. The
- 40:14Speaker 2: audio could be pretty good. That would be hilarious.
- 40:16Speaker 12: So his idea, he says he isn't a divorced Gen
- 40:19Speaker 12: X dad himself and he sees other divorced Gen X
- 40:21Speaker 12: dads out in the dating world.
- 40:22Speaker 2: They don't know what they're doing. They're douches.
- 40:25Speaker 12: They spent, you know, 15, 20 years in a marriage.
- 40:27Speaker 12: Now they don't know what's going on. So you're like
- 40:29Speaker 12: a Sherpa out of the game. He said this is
- 40:31Speaker 12: not a pickup artist game, but just more of like
- 40:33Speaker 12: how to act.
- 40:33Speaker 2: Normal and be a real person.
- 40:35Speaker 3: It's like a seminar.
- 40:36Speaker 10: But why does he need money?
- 40:37Speaker 2: Why do they need you to tell anybody how to
- 40:39Speaker 2: be a normal person?
- 40:40Speaker 7: You probably need a meeting space.
- 40:42Speaker 1: Right.
- 40:42Speaker 2: So he says he wants to charge $ 1, 000 plus.
- 40:46Speaker 2: But I guess I would be the seed money and
- 40:48Speaker 2: make it better.
- 40:49Speaker 10: I don't get why he needs it.
- 40:50Speaker 7: You've got to set up a website.
- 40:52Speaker 3: And a venue of some sort. Correct.
- 40:54Speaker 2: Right, but again, it's a variety. I never thought that
- 40:56Speaker 2: would be in here.
- 40:57Speaker 10: Or maybe he wants to charter a restaurant or something
- 41:00Speaker 10: and bring all the girls in dating game style.
- 41:03Speaker 3: Don't women have BJ classes and stuff? Yeah, I think so.
- 41:07Speaker 2: Seminars? Same kind of thing, but just divorced dudes of
- 41:11Speaker 2: a certain age.
- 41:12Speaker 3: Other oral-ing classes at this seminar. Yeah.
- 41:15Speaker 2: Okay, so that's on the table.
- 41:16Speaker 1: Okay.
- 41:17Speaker 2: This one is from Ashley. Hey, Seabass. You and I
- 41:21Speaker 2: could go to a live taping of Kill Tony in Austin, Texas.
- 41:24Speaker 6: Oh, really?
- 41:24Speaker 2: Oh, a date. That you're paying for.
- 41:26Speaker 8: Right.
- 41:27Speaker 2: I am a big fan of Kill Tony, and I
- 41:28Speaker 2: know you are, too. Actually, I'm not.
- 41:31Speaker 6: You're not?
- 41:32Speaker 2: I mean, I enjoy.
- 41:33Speaker 12: Some of the clips are funny, but... To sit down
- 41:35Speaker 12: for three hours, it gets old real fast.
- 41:37Speaker 2: Really?
- 41:38Speaker 6: Okay.
- 41:38Speaker 3: I thought you'd be a big fan of that. I
- 41:39Speaker 3: would have guessed that.
- 41:40Speaker 12: Tony Hinchcliffe is a big fan of myself, but his show,
- 41:44Speaker 12: for three hours, it's just too much.
- 41:46Speaker 7: He's a fan of me.
- 41:47Speaker 13: Yeah, he's your fan.
- 41:48Speaker 2: Don't get it twisted.
- 41:49Speaker 12: I appreciate that he is a fan, and he's shy
- 41:51Speaker 12: to be out on Joe Rogan's podcast, but again. his
- 41:54Speaker 12: show is not for me.
- 41:54Speaker 19: You know what?
- 41:55Speaker 2: Way to keep it real, Seabass.
- 41:56Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 41:56Speaker 2: I saw, how about this, Bort?
- 41:58Speaker 12: I saw Tony, he hosted the Roast of Wrestling two
- 42:02Speaker 12: years ago at WrestleMania, and he's very good at that.
- 42:05Speaker 12: His roast jokes, he's great at. His latest stand-up special,
- 42:09Speaker 12: not so much.
- 42:10Speaker 3: Wow. The favor does not go both ways.
- 42:13Speaker 8: I know.
- 42:14Speaker 2: He would appreciate my reality. Yeah, I respect that. The
- 42:16Speaker 2: river of compliments only flows one direction.
- 42:18Speaker 10: Yeah, come on.
- 42:20Speaker 12: Seabass can rest easy knowing that I have no intention
- 42:22Speaker 12: of trying to hook up with him.
- 42:24Speaker 7: Yeah, rest easy. Rest easy.
- 42:26Speaker 3: Don't worry, no sex.
- 42:27Speaker 12: We could go get front row tickets. He could go
- 42:29Speaker 12: record out in and around Austin.
- 42:32Speaker 2: Oh, he could after paying for the whole thing?
- 42:34Speaker 3: That's nice.
- 42:34Speaker 2: That's from Ashley.
- 42:35Speaker 3: How generous of you. You're not going to put out
- 42:36Speaker 3: and you'll let him do what he wants?
- 42:37Speaker 2: Wow.
- 42:39Speaker 3: Are you Santa?
- 42:40Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 42:41Speaker 3: And I get to pay for you to do all
- 42:42Speaker 3: kinds of good stuff. Yeah, that's nice. She's so cool.
- 42:45Speaker 2: I would have never thought of that. What an offer.
- 42:47Speaker 12: Take a girl platonically to go see Kill Tony and
- 42:49Speaker 12: spend a lot of money on her?
- 42:51Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 42:51Speaker 7: Are you great to her or something?
- 42:54Speaker 4: Okay.
- 42:54Speaker 2: But yeah, I like the variety of these.
- 42:56Speaker 3: By the way, you can buy me dinner, too.
- 42:57Speaker 2: I would love to see what Shark Tank gets for pitches. Oh, yeah.
- 43:03Speaker 2: I may have this audio, but.
- 43:05Speaker 12: Unfortunately, Shark Tank doesn't really do the funny ones like
- 43:07Speaker 12: American Idol used to do with like just the bad ones.
- 43:09Speaker 6: Oh, yeah.
- 43:09Speaker 12: But I went– I've been trying to find the public
- 43:12Speaker 12: auditions because I found a dude who made anti-theft CDs.
- 43:18Speaker 12: He was later after my interview featured on Tosh. 0. So
- 43:22Speaker 12: he would record himself as a man saying like, hey.
- 43:26Speaker 21: Who's there?
- 43:27Speaker 7: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 43:28Speaker 2: Like the fake barking dogs.
- 43:30Speaker 12: So let's say you're a single woman, and you're leaving
- 43:33Speaker 12: the house, and you just want to piss off your neighbors.
- 43:36Speaker 12: Dogs barking, men yelling, guns clacking.
- 43:39Speaker 7: It's like the Home Alone.
- 43:40Speaker 2: And they're on compact discs.
- 43:44Speaker 18: Yes.
- 43:46Speaker 2: Hit play.
- 43:46Speaker 3: Hurry up.
- 43:48Speaker 2: Who's there?
- 43:49Speaker 3: That's the idea.
- 43:50Speaker 2: Okay, another one.
- 43:52Speaker 14: Seabass is $ 16, 000.
- 43:52Speaker 12: Shark Tank Submission says, For $ 16, 000, you could produce my
- 43:58Speaker 12: science fiction comedy feature film I've already written called Nerds
- 44:01Speaker 12: with Laser Guns.
- 44:02Speaker 8: What?
- 44:02Speaker 2: Oh, hell yeah.
- 44:03Speaker 11: Nice.
- 44:04Speaker 12: I was going to try to crowdfund this for $ 20, 000,
- 44:06Speaker 12: but you can give me $ 16, 000 and I'll put up
- 44:08Speaker 12: the other $ 4, 000. I've already written the script. Premise is,
- 44:11Speaker 12: supervillains have taken over the world and conventional weapons can't
- 44:14Speaker 12: hurt them, so a group of scientists develop a weapon
- 44:16Speaker 12: that can kill the supervillains.
- 44:18Speaker 2: Uh-huh. And then we go about doing that.
- 44:20Speaker 8: Okay.
- 44:20Speaker 2: What are you laughing at, Bort? It's just so basic.
- 44:24Speaker 2: It's so dumb.
- 44:25Speaker 3: How dare you?
- 44:26Speaker 2: She says it's like, or he, no, Howard, sorry. Curb
- 44:29Speaker 2: your enthusiasm. It meets always sunny, but with scientists, engineers,
- 44:32Speaker 2: and villains.
- 44:34Speaker 3: That one to me is like one of the good ones.
- 44:37Speaker 3: I think that sounds like.
- 44:39Speaker 2: It sounds like something that Greg would have on.
- 44:40Speaker 3: His video channel.
- 44:41Speaker 20: No, no, no, no.
- 44:42Speaker 3: Not something that I would watch. It sounds like something
- 44:44Speaker 3: Seabass would get involved with because you're going to be
- 44:47Speaker 3: surrounded by weirdos.
- 44:48Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 44:49Speaker 10: This could be more of like a Windy City Heat.
- 44:51Speaker 3: And you know the script would be terrible.
- 44:53Speaker 2: It sounds like the movie I shot two years ago.
- 44:55Speaker 6: I know.
- 44:56Speaker 3: This sounds like something you'd be involved in.
- 44:58Speaker 2: Speaking of which, not to derail the segment, are we
- 45:01Speaker 2: ever going to see that movie? Okay, good news.
- 45:03Speaker 12: Go to wildwesternmovie.com if you want.
- 45:06Speaker 2: Wildwesternmovie.com.
- 45:08Speaker 12: And you can see, actually, I'm on the front page
- 45:10Speaker 12: there in my white duster.
- 45:13Speaker 2: They have finished it.
- 45:14Speaker 12: They did an initial screening at the place where we
- 45:17Speaker 12: shot it in Nowheresville, Ohio.
- 45:19Speaker 2: Supposedly.
- 45:20Speaker 12: They're going to start touring this thing. We may be
- 45:22Speaker 12: able to do interviews.
- 45:23Speaker 2: With some of the people.
- 45:24Speaker 3: Ooh. Wow.
- 45:25Speaker 12: But now we're two plus years, but it has been
- 45:28Speaker 12: done from what I heard.
- 45:29Speaker 2: And that website doesn't work. Even you haven't seen it.
- 45:31Speaker 2: The Wild Western Movie.
- 45:32Speaker 3: Try that one.
- 45:33Speaker 2: The Wild Western Movie. WildWesternMovie.com.
- 45:35Speaker 7: I don't know how to spell the.
- 45:38Speaker 3: Oh, there it is.
- 45:38Speaker 7: Oh, here we go.
- 45:39Speaker 3: Wait, so that's you with the slingshot?
- 45:40Speaker 11: Right.
- 45:41Speaker 2: Oh, fun.
- 45:41Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 45:42Speaker 2: Look at that. Okay, so I'll put that at the
- 45:43Speaker 2: science fiction.
- 45:45Speaker 12: And I, of course, will insist upon, I don't want to,
- 45:49Speaker 12: Real role, because that takes weeks to do, but a
- 45:51Speaker 12: good cameo.
- 45:52Speaker 7: It already has merged, the movie.
- 45:54Speaker 2: All right, now, do we want to, at some point,
- 45:56Speaker 2: narrow these down? Like, do we close the submissions now?
- 46:00Speaker 12: I'd say let's, yeah, at the end of today, if
- 46:02Speaker 12: you're just hearing about this for the first time, you
- 46:03Speaker 12: better get those in today.
- 46:05Speaker 2: Okay.
- 46:05Speaker 3: That's it.
- 46:05Speaker 2: All right, so the end of the day will be
- 46:07Speaker 2: the end of submissions, and then at that point, what?
- 46:10Speaker 2: At that point, again, as a shark, I could just
- 46:13Speaker 2: say no. I could just say nah, dog, to anything.
- 46:16Speaker 12: But I'll go through and maybe like using what Greg's things,
- 46:19Speaker 12: what Greg said, what you guys have said.
- 46:21Speaker 2: Okay.
- 46:21Speaker 12: Get the two or three favorites and then decide, do
- 46:24Speaker 12: I want to put my hard-earned money behind these people?
- 46:26Speaker 2: Now, if there's nothing that really kind of meets your criteria,
- 46:29Speaker 2: but that money just goes then back into your account,
- 46:31Speaker 2: like we were trying to tell you to do in
- 46:32Speaker 2: the first place. For a rainy day.
- 46:33Speaker 3: I mean, it's money anyway.
- 46:35Speaker 5: Yeah, exactly.
- 46:36Speaker 7: I mean, I have ideas.
- 46:37Speaker 8: Okay.
- 46:37Speaker 2: I'll listen to that. I'll hear that.
- 46:39Speaker 3: Okay.
- 46:40Speaker 2: And let me just say this.
- 46:41Speaker 12: Women, you're dropping the ball so hard. No one's asked
- 46:44Speaker 12: for a boob job. It would be so easy.
- 46:45Speaker 2: Yeah. I probably would have just said.
- 46:48Speaker 7: Yes, you idiots.
- 46:50Speaker 2: By the way, that's classic throwback 90s, early 2000s radio.
- 46:54Speaker 7: I know.
- 46:55Speaker 2: They'd have some plastic surgeon come in.
- 46:56Speaker 7: Yeah, dude.
- 46:58Speaker 3: It could have been the best summer ever.
- 46:59Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah.
- 47:01Speaker 3: Seabass, you won't find... Seabass's breast summer ever.
- 47:04Speaker 10: Yeah, maybe you get on that nose job for Morgan
- 47:06Speaker 10: if you don't find any.
- 47:07Speaker 2: Oh. How does that benefit me?
- 47:10Speaker 10: How do the boobs benefit you?
- 47:11Speaker 2: I get to look at them. Okay.
- 47:13Speaker 5: You do?
- 47:13Speaker 13: I didn't realize there was conditions.
- 47:14Speaker 7: Oh, yeah.
- 47:15Speaker 3: You want to see the results of your work.
- 47:17Speaker 2: Yeah, you squeeze them.
- 47:18Speaker 12: Every girl I've ever known who's gotten a boob job,
- 47:20Speaker 12: including our friend Julianne.
- 47:21Speaker 2: That is true. loves showing them off. Yeah, that is
- 47:24Speaker 2: absolutely true.
- 47:30Speaker 3: That's funny, man.
- 47:30Speaker 2: We sit around and we talk about different ideas and
- 47:33Speaker 2: things we can do on the show. Man, listeners would
- 47:35Speaker 2: love this. You know, it's going to go over huge.
- 47:38Speaker 2: And we do it, and it's fine.
- 47:39Speaker 1: You know.
- 47:40Speaker 2: And there's other things where I would call them not
- 47:43Speaker 2: throwaway conversations, but just a little one-off kind of tangents. And, man,
- 47:49Speaker 2: did we get a lot of feedback from... When I
- 47:52Speaker 2: told everybody how Gina Grad says that Burger King is
- 47:55Speaker 2: white trash.
- 47:56Speaker 3: Yeah, it sucks. Yeah, a lot of passion.
- 47:59Speaker 10: I've had a couple bad experiences there.
- 48:02Speaker 2: Well, yeah, it was just, yeah, the feedback.
- 48:06Speaker 10: Yeah, people are passionate.
- 48:08Speaker 12: I would say Gina was spot on about one thing.
- 48:10Speaker 12: Those chicken sandwiches, very greasy, and I'll tell you why.
- 48:14Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 48:14Speaker 12: Because I think they dip them straight in the oil
- 48:18Speaker 12: to make sure they're hot.
- 48:19Speaker 2: Like from frozen?
- 48:21Speaker 7: Well, yeah.
- 48:21Speaker 2: But I think before they serve them to you as well. Oh, damn.
- 48:24Speaker 3: Like give me a second little fry.
- 48:25Speaker 1: Right.
- 48:25Speaker 12: Because every time I've gotten one, it's just straight fryer
- 48:30Speaker 12: grease coming off that thing.
- 48:31Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 48:31Speaker 7: And I think where she fumbled, it kind of came
- 48:34Speaker 7: off as she said that. overall Burger King is greasy,
- 48:38Speaker 7: which is right.
- 48:39Speaker 2: No, the chicken.
- 48:40Speaker 3: Yeah. Well, she says trashy. That's where it started.
- 48:43Speaker 5: Trashy.
- 48:43Speaker 2: Saying that it's trashy. The quality is not there. And
- 48:45Speaker 2: I did say, you weren't in the room for the conversation, Seabass.
- 48:48Speaker 3: I said, I.
- 48:50Speaker 2: and willing to try Arby's steak nuggets. I'm willing to
- 48:55Speaker 2: feed them to you. I feel like those are things
- 48:58Speaker 2: we have to get at the Arby's. I don't think
- 49:00Speaker 2: we order them and then bring them in the next
- 49:03Speaker 2: day and then try to use the illegal office oven
- 49:07Speaker 2: to reheat.
- 49:08Speaker 12: I had them a couple years ago when they were
- 49:09Speaker 12: first out and them joints was good. Here's from the
- 49:13Speaker 12: After Hours voicemail.
- 49:14Speaker 5: Hey, I heard y'all talking about Burger King this morning.
- 49:17Speaker 2: I can vouch.
- 49:18Speaker 5: I had a, that was my, one of my first
- 49:20Speaker 5: jobs as a teen way back in the day is
- 49:22Speaker 5: at a Burger King. And Gina is correct. That is
- 49:25Speaker 5: the nastiest, greasiest, most slimiest.
- 49:29Speaker 17: Woo!
- 49:30Speaker 5: I really would not, would not subject your arteries to that.
- 49:36Speaker 5: If you really, really have to do fast food, which
- 49:38Speaker 5: I do not recommend. Definitely not.
- 49:41Speaker 8: Okay.
- 49:42Speaker 5: Just don't do it.
- 49:43Speaker 8: Bye.
- 49:44Speaker 2: Oh, wait. You worked there. Straight from the source. You
- 49:46Speaker 2: know what I mean?
- 49:47Speaker 3: Many years ago.
- 49:48Speaker 2: Although she also said that I don't eat fast food.
- 49:50Speaker 7: Yeah, so yeah. This is somebody I don't want to
- 49:52Speaker 7: hear from.
- 49:52Speaker 2: Exactly. But they literally worked there.
- 49:55Speaker 3: Disqualified.
- 49:56Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 49:56Speaker 3: All right.
- 49:57Speaker 7: Another one.
- 49:57Speaker 3: After hours.
- 49:58Speaker 2: Voicemail.
- 49:58Speaker 3: 877-44-WOODY.
- 50:00Speaker 2: All right.
- 50:00Speaker 6: So when he was talking about Burger King and how
- 50:04Speaker 6: he loves it, every time he goes, he's like, oh, yeah,
- 50:07Speaker 6: Burger King, I love this place.
- 50:09Speaker 5: I 100% agree. And, you know, Gina was saying it's
- 50:11Speaker 5: kind of white trash.
- 50:12Speaker 19: And you know what?
- 50:12Speaker 6: I don't disagree with that either. I think it is
- 50:15Speaker 6: a little bit of, it's got like a white trash
- 50:18Speaker 6: vibe in there. It's like, where have you been like
- 50:20Speaker 6: sitting down in a Burger King?
- 50:22Speaker 21: It kind of just everything looks old.
- 50:24Speaker 6: It's got like that layer of grease kind of on it.
- 50:27Speaker 6: So Burger King, way underrated. And yes, a little bit
- 50:31Speaker 6: white trash.
- 50:32Speaker 7: So, all right.
- 50:33Speaker 2: Bye.
- 50:33Speaker 7: All right.
- 50:34Speaker 2: Everybody's right. So again, one of those things that I
- 50:36Speaker 2: thought would just kind of be a fleeting thing.
- 50:38Speaker 6: Oh, wow.
- 50:38Speaker 2: I never really thought of Burger King as white trash.
- 50:40Speaker 2: I never thought of them as greasy. And then we'd
- 50:44Speaker 2: move on to whatever else we had planned. But man,
- 50:46Speaker 2: the text was blowing up.
- 50:47Speaker 6: Yes, it was.
- 50:48Speaker 2: After hours, voicemails were popping.
- 50:50Speaker 7: Because so many lies were said, that's why.
- 50:51Speaker 2: Well, you know, somebody said something interesting. Is it slander?
- 50:55Speaker 3: Slander, yeah.
- 50:56Speaker 2: Defamation, yeah. Somebody said something interesting on the text.
- 50:58Speaker 10: They said that the CEO has put like extra energy
- 51:02Speaker 10: and work into the Whopper specifically.
- 51:04Speaker 2: Out of all the food items. So when people are like, whatever,
- 51:06Speaker 2: you're insane, the Whopper's great. I didn't have the Whopper.
- 51:10Speaker 2: Is the Whopper the one thing that like.
- 51:12Speaker 10: Is head and tails above everything else?
- 51:15Speaker 2: You had the Whopper Jr.
- 51:16Speaker 12: you said.
- 51:16Speaker 2: I had the Whopper Jr. and a chicken sandwich.
- 51:18Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 51:19Speaker 2: What did you think of the Whopper Jr.
- 51:21Speaker 5: Eh.
- 51:22Speaker 7: I don't know.
- 51:24Speaker 10: The burger patty itself was just, the whole thing was underwhelming.
- 51:28Speaker 10: And like Sammy said, because she just had Burger King.
- 51:30Speaker 10: 20 years ago.
- 51:32Speaker 3: That's another person.
- 51:33Speaker 2: When it comes to fast food, you don't talk to her.
- 51:36Speaker 10: But what she remembers about it.
- 51:38Speaker 9: Is that it's just kind of a sad burger.
- 51:41Speaker 2: She's not a fast food person.
- 51:43Speaker 9: No, but that was back when I ate fast food
- 51:46Speaker 9: and I barely had Burger King. We never really had
- 51:48Speaker 9: it because it wasn't the superior.
- 51:51Speaker 10: Nobody's vote counts.
- 51:53Speaker 7: Unless it's we love Burger King.
- 51:54Speaker 2: If I need to take on Trader Joe's, she's my person.
- 51:58Speaker 7: Thank you. 100%. No, it's not, you know, we're looking
- 52:01Speaker 7: for homers. We're just looking for people that eat.
- 52:04Speaker 6: Objective.
- 52:04Speaker 2: That worked there or they remember the last time they
- 52:06Speaker 2: ate it.
- 52:06Speaker 7: That worked there a long time ago, as they said
- 52:08Speaker 7: in the voicemail. And don't recommend fast food in general. Yeah,
- 52:11Speaker 7: so that's, again, somebody I want to hear from. Just
- 52:13Speaker 7: somebody that eats fast food on the regular that can
- 52:16Speaker 7: give an honest opinion.
- 52:17Speaker 2: All right, now, Menace, I have some Walmart news for you.
- 52:22Speaker 2: They might be ripping us off.
- 52:24Speaker 6: No.
- 52:25Speaker 3: I would like to independently test this.
- 52:28Speaker 8: Okay.
- 52:28Speaker 3: Is this like a weights and measures thing?
- 52:30Speaker 2: Oh, Greg's your man.
- 52:31Speaker 7: Greg's your man.
- 52:32Speaker 3: I think I know who you might be talking about.
- 52:34Speaker 7: Get your vest on.
- 52:35Speaker 2: You do?
- 52:35Speaker 1: I will.
- 52:36Speaker 2: Did you see the video?
- 52:37Speaker 3: It's this dude that goes around to Walmarts and they say, whatever,
- 52:41Speaker 3: nine ounces of bacon. And he measures it and it's
- 52:44Speaker 3: seven ounces.
- 52:45Speaker 7: I saw this guy.
- 52:45Speaker 3: And they are ripping you off. And apparently Menace is
- 52:47Speaker 3: all for that.
- 52:48Speaker 2: This is something else you love. Walmart and chicken Menace.
- 52:51Speaker 2: So he claims that he weighed 21 packages. and 11
- 52:54Speaker 2: of them were just underweight up to a quarter ounce. Oh, wow.
- 52:59Speaker 12: You may have this answer here, but I think I
- 53:01Speaker 12: know why.
- 53:02Speaker 2: Listen to the video here.
- 53:04Speaker 20: This pack of Walmart chicken is already underweight in the package.
- 53:07Speaker 20: This is supposed to weigh 5.5 pounds out of the package.
- 53:11Speaker 2: 4.92. What do they call that? Tear weight. I remember
- 53:16Speaker 2: that from working in a grocery store. Refresh my memory.
- 53:19Speaker 2: You used to have to account for whatever the packaging was.
- 53:22Speaker 2: So if it was in like a little carton or something,
- 53:25Speaker 2: that's not part of the weight that you're being charged
- 53:28Speaker 2: for if it's X number per pound, right? Every kitchen
- 53:31Speaker 2: scale has a tare button.
- 53:31Speaker 7: Yeah, I do it with my dog's food. I put
- 53:34Speaker 7: the bowl on top, and then I redo the.
- 53:37Speaker 2: Yeah, because it's supposed to be eight ounces. You would
- 53:39Speaker 2: weigh the container, and then add eight ounces to whatever
- 53:43Speaker 2: the container weighs, and that's how you make sure that
- 53:45Speaker 2: what you're actually getting is eight ounces of what you're
- 53:48Speaker 2: being sold. Right, anyway, so he's saying- Here we go.
- 53:51Speaker 2: It's underweight even with the container.
- 53:55Speaker 7: 4.92.
- 53:55Speaker 20: Then we're going to open it up and see how
- 53:57Speaker 20: much the chicken weighs. 4.24 pounds. That's just about a
- 54:03Speaker 20: pound and a quarter short of 5.50. That's insane.
- 54:08Speaker 7: All right.
- 54:08Speaker 2: That's insane.
- 54:09Speaker 3: You're getting ripped off. A pound is a lot.
- 54:11Speaker 2: Yeah, that's way too much.
- 54:13Speaker 12: I thought his mistake, because I didn't go into the explanation,
- 54:16Speaker 12: but I saw the video, and he wasn't weighing the
- 54:19Speaker 12: juice diaper.
- 54:21Speaker 7: The juice diaper!
- 54:23Speaker 2: The light thing at the bottom. Because I could see
- 54:26Speaker 2: them cutting and processing the chicken, tearing the packet, T-A-R-E,
- 54:30Speaker 2: tearing the package, and then throwing it on there, and
- 54:32Speaker 2: then the juice gets absorbed, and he's.
- 54:34Speaker 12: Not weighing the juice diaper. But that pound plus, that's ridiculous.
- 54:38Speaker 7: Yeah, that is insane.
- 54:39Speaker 3: Is it really called a.
- 54:41Speaker 2: Juice diaper?
- 54:42Speaker 4: No.
- 54:43Speaker 3: Also, what's to say that his scale.
- 54:44Speaker 2: I'm sure.
- 54:46Speaker 2: I'm sure it's closer.
- 54:47Speaker 3: He's done it with more than just chicken.
- 54:49Speaker 7: Yeah, he has a whole account dedicated to this.
- 54:52Speaker 2: But there is a weights and balance official, right, that
- 54:56Speaker 2: comes around and puts that sticker on things that it's
- 54:58Speaker 2: been calibrated properly. If he just has his own little
- 55:02Speaker 2: rando scale that maybe he got in the other aisle
- 55:04Speaker 2: at Walmart. There's no way it's a pound plus off
- 55:07Speaker 2: a five-pound package. It's like how if you weigh yourself
- 55:10Speaker 2: on four different scales, you'll get four different numbers.
- 55:13Speaker 3: Yeah, sadly. right?
- 55:15Speaker 2: Well, then you just buy the one that's the lowest.
- 55:18Speaker 2: That's the one you bring home.
- 55:19Speaker 7: I'll be honest though. I don't buy meat from Walmart.
- 55:23Speaker 5: You don't?
- 55:23Speaker 7: So this wouldn't really affect me. Um, no, I just,
- 55:26Speaker 7: I get it from like Trader Joe's and stuff, just
- 55:28Speaker 7: other places.
- 55:30Speaker 2: Yeah, I like to go one place for one thing,
- 55:32Speaker 2: another place for a different thing, a third place for
- 55:35Speaker 2: a third thing.
- 55:36Speaker 3: Because you want to pretend you're in Europe.
- 55:39Speaker 2: True. Menace B shopping. Although Trader Joe's is its own stop.
- 55:43Speaker 3: That's different. It is because you can't get cleaning supplies.
- 55:45Speaker 2: Man, I know people that will go to one grocery
- 55:47Speaker 2: store for this and this and then another.
- 55:49Speaker 3: I mean, how many errands are you running?
- 55:50Speaker 2: That's too many. Their grocery shopping takes almost all day
- 55:54Speaker 2: because they have to go to multiple places.
- 55:56Speaker 3: For different things.
- 55:57Speaker 7: Well, it's Costco for the toilet paper, Meats.
- 55:59Speaker 2: Yeah, that's once a month.
- 56:00Speaker 7: Well, that's the thing.
- 56:01Speaker 10: I don't know if you guys have heard this or not,
- 56:02Speaker 10: but I've read like not really meat and produce so
- 56:06Speaker 10: much at Trader Joe's. Like they don't last as long.
- 56:09Speaker 4: Oh, really?
- 56:09Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 56:10Speaker 3: I think the milk at Trader Joe's lasts about four minutes.
- 56:13Speaker 2: That's the thing.
- 56:13Speaker 10: Like a lot of their perishable stuff doesn't last very long.
- 56:16Speaker 8: Yeah, you're wrong.
- 56:17Speaker 6: Allegedly.
- 56:17Speaker 2: Well, you just eat it fast. And then sodies at Costco, too.
- 56:22Speaker 2: Let's see, Costco, again, that's a once a month run, right?
- 56:26Speaker 2: Because you're not going, you don't need it. It's big, giant,
- 56:29Speaker 2: bulk quantities. So that's like once a month. I'm talking
- 56:31Speaker 2: about the people who every week, well, I'm going to
- 56:34Speaker 2: go get vegetables from this place and I'm going to
- 56:36Speaker 2: get meats from this place. I'll get all the dry
- 56:38Speaker 2: goods stuff.
- 56:38Speaker 3: From this place.
- 56:39Speaker 2: It's so old timey. How much running around do you
- 56:41Speaker 2: want to do? How much time do you have?
- 56:43Speaker 13: Yeah, because it's cheaper in certain places.
- 56:45Speaker 9: Like we always knew, you know, toilet paper is cheaper
- 56:48Speaker 9: here and that's cheaper there.
- 56:48Speaker 13: And you go to all the different places.
- 56:50Speaker 9: Where it's worth it to shop for specific things.
- 56:53Speaker 2: For your time, the extra gas, all these things.
- 56:55Speaker 3: Does it really?
- 56:56Speaker 2: I mean, how much of a difference are we talking?
- 56:58Speaker 2: I think it did make.
- 56:58Speaker 13: A pretty significant difference.
- 57:00Speaker 9: Again, if you knew what you were looking for and
- 57:02Speaker 9: where you were going and where the prices mattered.
- 57:04Speaker 2: This is where AI, use your AI, people. It'll tell
- 57:07Speaker 2: you because you can throw in your zip code. It'll
- 57:09Speaker 2: look by it. It'll tell you where everything is. And
- 57:12Speaker 2: it'll take all that guesswork, all that running around out
- 57:15Speaker 2: of the equation.
- 57:15Speaker 4: 877-44.
- 57:15Speaker 2: Send us a text over to 22987. We've got some
- 57:17Speaker 2: more Woody show for you next.
- 57:25Speaker 6: All right.
- 57:26Speaker 2: Welcome back.
- 57:27Speaker 3: Greg, do you have your journal? I sure do.
- 57:31Speaker 1: Sweet.
- 57:32Speaker 2: So, you know, Greg was journaling when he was watching,
- 57:37Speaker 2: back in the day, he was watching Brady Bunch episodes,
- 57:40Speaker 2: and he was keeping track, meticulous notes.
- 57:42Speaker 6: Bizarre.
- 57:43Speaker 2: And he keeps notes for the show, as we heard
- 57:46Speaker 2: with the different things. Like, oh, 12 years ago on
- 57:49Speaker 2: this day, we were talking about XYZ. Like, he's a
- 57:51Speaker 2: really good note taker. Well, he journaled. When he spent
- 57:56Speaker 2: a semester abroad.
- 57:57Speaker 3: Correct. At Cambridge.
- 57:58Speaker 2: At Cambridge.
- 58:00Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 58:00Speaker 2: And so he's got this journal. We read once from
- 58:03Speaker 2: the journal.
- 58:03Speaker 3: I was going through my office and I found it.
- 58:05Speaker 3: I forgot it existed.
- 58:07Speaker 2: Yeah. And so it's so Greg. It really is.
- 58:11Speaker 3: And I have not changed, to be honest. I haven't changed.
- 58:13Speaker 2: I mean, I just remember that first round when you
- 58:15Speaker 2: were reading, I'm like, wow, Greg is the same person. Well,
- 58:18Speaker 2: now at that time, well, what has changed? At that time,
- 58:20Speaker 2: you were still closeted.
- 58:22Speaker 3: Yes, I was.
- 58:23Speaker 2: So, you know, he hadn't come out to be his
- 58:25Speaker 2: true self yet. But all the other parts of his personality,
- 58:30Speaker 2: everything else was already established and in there.
- 58:33Speaker 3: Right. At last check, I was making my way to Cambridge.
- 58:36Speaker 3: I had stopped in London, made a couple stops on
- 58:38Speaker 3: the way. So now we're at July 6, 1992. I've
- 58:42Speaker 3: arrived at Cambridge.
- 58:44Speaker 2: And Greg told me, he goes, dude, it's about to
- 58:46Speaker 2: get good.
- 58:47Speaker 3: I mean, because it's just so snobby. So 1108 AM,
- 58:52Speaker 3: July 6, 1992, I took a cab to Harvey Court.
- 58:56Speaker 3: That's the place that I lived on campus. I found
- 58:59Speaker 3: my way to the office and I got my room assignment, 826.
- 59:02Speaker 3: I walked into the room and I ish'd. A major brick.
- 59:07Speaker 3: There's no bed. Just a desk. a table, a shelf,
- 59:10Speaker 3: and three chairs. Before going crazy, I looked around the
- 59:14Speaker 3: hallway and right next to door A26 is door A26.
- 59:19Speaker 3: So I go into that bedroom and there's a sink
- 59:21Speaker 3: and my own sitting room. But I have learned one
- 59:24Speaker 3: major thing about California. I am spoiled. These rooms and
- 59:29Speaker 3: halls are so old, probably a hundred years. The floors
- 59:33Speaker 3: are dirty. The curtains, prehistoric. The bed, ugly. Everything is
- 59:38Speaker 3: pretty gross. Okay, very gross. But I unpacked and I
- 59:44Speaker 3: tried to make it homey, but didn't really succeed. A
- 59:47Speaker 3: guy moved in next door, but he wasn't too social.
- 59:51Speaker 3: He was having problems with his key and left his
- 59:53Speaker 3: bags in the dark brick hallway. He asked if I
- 59:56Speaker 3: would keep an eye out for them. And he ran off. Literally.
- 59:59Speaker 3: I guess introductions come later. I'm going to go meet
- 1:00:02Speaker 3: the resident tutor and then try to find a market.
- 1:00:05Speaker 3: I'm starting to feel lonely.
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: So when Greg makes these notes, like mine would have
- 1:00:12Speaker 2: been like, dude, this guy was messing around, couldn't find
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: his keys, left all his crap in the hallway. Left
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: his bags in the dark brick hallway.
- 1:00:20Speaker 3: He's like a writer.
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: Greg is the best when it comes to describing and
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: really kind of like setting that scene.
- 1:00:28Speaker 3: Okay.
- 1:00:29Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:00:29Speaker 15: All right.
- 1:00:29Speaker 3: You ready for the next one? I have one. This
- 1:00:31Speaker 3: is so fast forward two days. Okay. And I've met
- 1:00:34Speaker 3: a handful of people.
- 1:00:36Speaker 8: Okay.
- 1:00:36Speaker 3: There was a core four of us. These two girls,
- 1:00:39Speaker 3: Kim and Cammy, and a guy named Del, which was
- 1:00:41Speaker 3: the neighbor. So by this point, a couple days later,
- 1:00:44Speaker 3: we've all been hanging out, and now we're out and about.
- 1:00:47Speaker 6: Not so lonely.
- 1:00:47Speaker 3: Socializing not so lonely.
- 1:00:49Speaker 2: And this is the guy who can't get in his room.
- 1:00:50Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:00:51Speaker 3: Turned out to be a nice dude. All right. Next one,
- 1:00:53Speaker 3: Greg's journal entry abroad. Last night I went to the
- 1:00:56Speaker 3: mill with Del, Cammie, and Kim. Both Kemi and Kim
- 1:01:00Speaker 3: are from Southern California. We met them yesterday morning at breakfast.
- 1:01:03Speaker 3: They're both so very funny.
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: Who says that?
- 1:01:08Speaker 3: At dinner, well, I learned in English. So very funny.
- 1:01:11Speaker 3: At English class, I learned that you don't say so adjective,
- 1:01:15Speaker 3: you say so very. Because a so needs a that.
- 1:01:19Speaker 3: At dinner, the four of us sat at a table
- 1:01:21Speaker 3: with Henry, and we were laughing so hard it hurt.
- 1:01:25Speaker 3: And we made a complete scene. Here's what happened. Kim
- 1:01:28Speaker 3: told us about a cheap place to eat, even though
- 1:01:32Speaker 3: it had a cheesy name. Now, we tried to define
- 1:01:34Speaker 3: cheesy to Henry, who doesn't speak English too well, but
- 1:01:37Speaker 3: quite well nonetheless.
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: So which is it?
- 1:01:40Speaker 3: Anyway, the name of the place to eat was Woolworth's.
- 1:01:44Speaker 6: What?
- 1:01:45Speaker 3: And those of us from the States almost choked. We
- 1:01:48Speaker 3: thought it was hilarious. And then we had to define
- 1:01:50Speaker 3: Woolworth's to Henry and explain its notoriety. Kim spoke slowly
- 1:01:56Speaker 3: and loudly. It's a place where poor people shop.
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: Whoa.
- 1:02:02Speaker 3: And then we just about fell over, not only because
- 1:02:05Speaker 3: of Kim's description, but because of her way of talking.
- 1:02:09Speaker 3: She spoke to Henry as if he was five years old.
- 1:02:13Speaker 3: After dinner, we went to a deathly boring lecture on
- 1:02:15Speaker 3: the University of Cambridge. Kami and I laughed the whole
- 1:02:18Speaker 3: time since we made fun of the snob giving the talk. Afterward,
- 1:02:22Speaker 3: we went to the mill for some drinks and we
- 1:02:24Speaker 3: stood outside in the drizzle with the rest of the
- 1:02:26Speaker 3: hundreds of people some bums started yelling at us. That
- 1:02:30Speaker 3: was last night, but today's been mellow yellow. After class,
- 1:02:38Speaker 3: I went to town for lunch, and then I bought
- 1:02:40Speaker 3: some postcards to write, which I did as soon as
- 1:02:42Speaker 3: I got back to Harvey Court, where we're on the
- 1:02:44Speaker 3: fourth floor, by the way. Even though it's old and dirty,
- 1:02:48Speaker 3: it's starting to grow on me. If I can afford it,
- 1:02:51Speaker 3: I need to get a haircut.
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: See, I end with these random ass thoughts. Everything about
- 1:02:57Speaker 2: Greg was already in there. Like now, if he was
- 1:02:59Speaker 2: like a little cold, he'd say he was Chilzer Wilsers. Right?
- 1:03:02Speaker 2: But like everything, Mellow Yellow. Mellow Yellow.
- 1:03:06Speaker 3: I have never uttered these words.
- 1:03:07Speaker 2: They're so very funny. I do remember that being a
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: thing that people would say. Yeah, Mellow Yellow.
- 1:03:12Speaker 3: Today's been Mellow Yellow.
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: I don't know what you're saying.
- 1:03:16Speaker 3: How dumb.
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: Do they still sell Mellow Yellow? I don't think so.
- 1:03:20Speaker 3: Probably not.
- 1:03:21Speaker 17: Really?
- 1:03:21Speaker 3: Really? Probably not.
- 1:03:22Speaker 7: It might be coming back because Days of Thunder 2
- 1:03:24Speaker 7: is coming out.
- 1:03:25Speaker 2: Mellow.
- 1:03:26Speaker 7: And there were a sponsor.
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: Highly caffeinated.
- 1:03:28Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:03:29Speaker 3: Is it still available?
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: Still exists.
- 1:03:31Speaker 10: Is available at Coca-Cola Freestyle Machines.
- 1:03:35Speaker 6: Oh, yeah.
- 1:03:36Speaker 2: You're right.
- 1:03:37Speaker 7: I have seen those at Freestyle Machines.
- 1:03:40Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:03:40Speaker 3: It says I can still buy it.
- 1:03:42Speaker 6: Really? Yeah.
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: The cans look very different now. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:03:46Speaker 3: That's what it looks like now.
- 1:03:47Speaker 2: It looks like an energy drink.
- 1:03:48Speaker 6: Oh, wow.
- 1:03:48Speaker 3: It's all modern. It's all modern. Oh, here's one of
- 1:03:51Speaker 3: the 12 pack. Ooh, how much?
- 1:03:56Speaker 2: Yeah, it must not be like widely available because it's
- 1:03:59Speaker 2: like 10 or 20 bucks. Damn.
- 1:04:04Speaker 3: Okay.
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: Yeah, I haven't seen that. That's one of those like
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: you forget about until somebody brings it up. Yeah, I
- 1:04:08Speaker 2: never would have thought about Mellow Yell again in my life.
- 1:04:10Speaker 3: Yeah. Can I give you just one sentence follow up? Yes, please.
- 1:04:13Speaker 3: This is so stupid.
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: All right, here we go.
- 1:04:15Speaker 3: Because I forgot this existed. I'm so embarrassed with myself. Today,
- 1:04:18Speaker 3: or rather about an hour and a half ago, I
- 1:04:20Speaker 3: broke down and I got that haircut.
- 1:04:23Speaker 7: Broke down.
- 1:04:24Speaker 6: Wow.
- 1:04:24Speaker 3: I was planning to not cut it until I got
- 1:04:26Speaker 3: back to the States, but with screwed up outlets and
- 1:04:29Speaker 3: intermittent showers, I simply had to.
- 1:04:31Speaker 2: Congratulations on that haircut.
- 1:04:33Speaker 3: I know you wanted to know.
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: You broke down.
- 1:04:35Speaker 3: I know you wanted to know.
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: You got it. All right, well, thank you. Another riveting
- 1:04:38Speaker 2: round of Greg and his lost and found journal.
- 1:04:41Speaker 3: Riveting is the right word. From his semester abroad as.
- 1:04:43Speaker 2: A young man in college.
- 1:04:45Speaker 3: Oh, my God.
- 1:04:45Speaker 7: Young stud.
- 1:04:46Speaker 2: We're going to take a quick break. More Woody Show
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: is next. Hang on.
- 1:04:50Speaker 7: Smells like b-hole.
- 1:04:52Speaker 2: Smells like b-hole.
- 1:04:53Speaker 3: The Woody Show.
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: I'll be right back.
- 1:04:57Speaker 3: Oh, it's so cute. I need it. I got to
- 1:04:58Speaker 3: have it.
- 1:04:59Speaker 5: The Woody Show.
- 1:05:02Speaker 3: And it's another hour.
- 1:05:05Speaker 2: Of The Woody Show, insensitivity, training for a politically correct world. Woody, Greg, Manis, Gina, Greg.
- 1:05:11Speaker 2: Seabass is here. He's got the week in audio.
- 1:05:15Speaker 12: And the Dolly Parton tributes have been nice, but really
- 1:05:18Speaker 12: the final word has not been said until you get
- 1:05:21Speaker 12: the tribute from the man who matters the most, Vin Diesel.
- 1:05:25Speaker 3: Oh, Vin.
- 1:05:27Speaker 7: Yeah, thanks, Tyler.
- 1:05:28Speaker 2: You know, I was waiting.
- 1:05:29Speaker 10: Who I thought you were going to say.
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: Tyler hooked me up on this one.
- 1:05:32Speaker 12: So on his Instagram, I have no idea that Vin
- 1:05:35Speaker 12: knew Dolly Parton whatsoever. He released this cover.
- 1:05:39Speaker 3: If I.
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: Should stay. Are you trolling me? I thought I looked three.
- 1:05:52Speaker 12: Is this a joke? Is this AI? So you're not
- 1:05:55Speaker 12: responsible for this? This is not a big show? Go
- 1:05:58Speaker 12: to Vin Diesel's, where he has 105 million followers. Go
- 1:06:01Speaker 12: to his Instagram right now.
- 1:06:12Speaker 5: So I'll go, but I know.
- 1:06:18Speaker 2: I mean, he knows the words.
- 1:06:20Speaker 14: I will think of you each step of.
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: The way. Bring it home, Vin. Wow.
- 1:06:34Speaker 8: Chills.
- 1:06:34Speaker 7: Chills are.
- 1:06:35Speaker 3: Chills are Wilsers.
- 1:06:40Speaker 2: Is it Vin Diesel?
- 1:06:41Speaker 3: Is it just a close-up of his face?
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: It's just a picture of Dolly.
- 1:06:44Speaker 3: It's just Dolly.
- 1:06:45Speaker 2: I'll give him credit on that. He didn't make it
- 1:06:47Speaker 2: all about himself. I thought for sure it was like
- 1:06:50Speaker 2: another one of the Seabass specials.
- 1:06:51Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:06:53Speaker 2: Well, because we had your tribute song.
- 1:06:56Speaker 6: That was beautiful.
- 1:06:57Speaker 2: Dolly, Dolly, Dolly, Dolly.
- 1:07:03Speaker 3: Not at all, yeah.
- 1:07:03Speaker 15: We're thanking you for having such great camps.
- 1:07:07Speaker 3: We are.
- 1:07:09Speaker 2: Not beads, not seeds. They're probably tripletes. True.
- 1:07:15Speaker 12: By the way, I hate to be a spoiler, but
- 1:07:17Speaker 12: you might have heard how Dolly Parton recorded a song
- 1:07:20Speaker 12: that's not going to be open for 20 years in
- 1:07:21Speaker 12: a time capsule.
- 1:07:23Speaker 2: That's actually it right there.
- 1:07:25Speaker 3: Sorry, guys.
- 1:07:26Speaker 14: We're so exclusive.
- 1:07:27Speaker 2: I'm third person. Heard it here first.
- 1:07:28Speaker 10: I'm looking at some of the comments on Vin's page.
- 1:07:30Speaker 2: I expected them to all be trolling, but either he's
- 1:07:32Speaker 2: editing them. Because they're cool.
- 1:07:34Speaker 12: They're like, I can't, well, number one, I can't believe
- 1:07:36Speaker 12: this account is free. But a lot of them is like,
- 1:07:39Speaker 12: you nailed it, King.
- 1:07:40Speaker 2: Thank you, heart. She was a bright light in the world.
- 1:07:42Speaker 2: It's a lot of like.
- 1:07:43Speaker 10: Well, somebody did get 1,580 likes for saying this cover
- 1:07:46Speaker 10: is what killed her.
- 1:07:48Speaker 2: Jay! This week in audio. Okay, skip over number, go
- 1:07:53Speaker 2: to number two.
- 1:07:54Speaker 12: And this is the Witty Show original game, Who Dis?
- 1:07:58Speaker 2: All right.
- 1:07:58Speaker 7: Who's singing this?
- 1:07:59Speaker 3: All right.
- 1:07:59Speaker 2: Call my name.
- 1:08:00Speaker 5: It's like a little prayer.
- 1:08:02Speaker 10: I'm down on my mind.
- 1:08:05Speaker 12: Go ahead, throw your guesses in.
- 1:08:10Speaker 2: Not Vin Diesel, by the way. It does.
- 1:08:15Speaker 3: Sounds like what?
- 1:08:17Speaker 2: Sounds like the deep voice. How are we supposed to
- 1:08:19Speaker 2: guess on this? It's just like all electronic, yeah? Well,
- 1:08:22Speaker 2: there's people singing.
- 1:08:26Speaker 7: I've heard this many times, but I don't know who
- 1:08:28Speaker 7: sings it.
- 1:08:29Speaker 2: It could be anybody. This is on the right track here.
- 1:08:32Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:08:32Speaker 12: You've heard this many times because this is a charting,
- 1:08:35Speaker 12: as you call it, cover or whatever, remix.
- 1:08:37Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:08:38Speaker 2: And it's getting off the charts because that's all AI.
- 1:08:40Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:08:42Speaker 2: And.
- 1:08:43Speaker 12: I think it's especially Australia has their pie kicking this
- 1:08:46Speaker 12: off the charts. Cause this is, this has been in clubs.
- 1:08:48Speaker 12: You go to any gay bar in Australia, I guarantee
- 1:08:50Speaker 12: you hear this. And to me, it's that's, this is
- 1:08:55Speaker 12: what I would hear in a gay bar.
- 1:08:57Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:08:57Speaker 3: I mean, it sounds like everything else, yeah it does
- 1:08:59Speaker 3: you know yeah.
- 1:08:59Speaker 12: But because indistinguishable but now with ai just behind the
- 1:09:02Speaker 12: scenes a little bit you can't tell ai to sing
- 1:09:05Speaker 12: copyrighted lyrics but what you can do is you can
- 1:09:07Speaker 12: use voice simulators and i've used this before a thousand
- 1:09:10Speaker 12: times i'm sure that's what this dj did uh because
- 1:09:13Speaker 12: i mean but This is the old Matrix question.
- 1:09:15Speaker 2: Do you care that that's AI?
- 1:09:16Speaker 3: No.
- 1:09:17Speaker 7: It's catchy.
- 1:09:18Speaker 3: It was really good.
- 1:09:19Speaker 7: Other songs on the charts that people just recently found
- 1:09:22Speaker 7: out was AI.
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:09:24Speaker 2: And they're like, did you.
- 1:09:25Speaker 7: Like the song or not? And everyone's like, and they're
- 1:09:27Speaker 7: still playing it.
- 1:09:28Speaker 2: There's a woman who's like a tarot card reader or
- 1:09:31Speaker 2: she has Reiki and all these other things. And all
- 1:09:34Speaker 2: of a sudden they found out that she is the
- 1:09:36Speaker 2: woman behind one of these club tracks that's super huge
- 1:09:40Speaker 2: right now. It was credited to whatever the name was,
- 1:09:45Speaker 2: and people started digging, who is this person? And it
- 1:09:48Speaker 2: all traced back to this woman who's like a tarot
- 1:09:51Speaker 2: card reader. Like I said, she does Reiki, she does
- 1:09:54Speaker 2: these videos, and in her videos, she uses a lot
- 1:09:56Speaker 2: of AI, so they're just like, oh, well, she figured
- 1:09:58Speaker 2: out how to make songs using the AI.
- 1:10:01Speaker 12: And again, sorry, gays, but club tracks, they're super formulaic,
- 1:10:05Speaker 12: super easy to make. You just get whatever kind of
- 1:10:08Speaker 12: voice in the background to repeat. In this case, rip
- 1:10:10Speaker 12: off Madonna.
- 1:10:10Speaker 3: You can drink and dance to them.
- 1:10:11Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly. This week in audio.
- 1:10:14Speaker 3: Okay, this is not AI.
- 1:10:15Speaker 2: This is an actual real living human being who's got
- 1:10:17Speaker 2: a new song called Summer's Over. I'll give you a clue.
- 1:10:20Speaker 12: This is not a traditional pop musician, but this person
- 1:10:24Speaker 12: has produced music before.
- 1:10:25Speaker 2: This is their song, Summer's Over.
- 1:10:26Speaker 7: One more chance to hold your hand.
- 1:10:35Speaker 2: One last warm August night. William Shatner. It sounds like
- 1:10:40Speaker 2: Leonard Cohen. I was going to say, Leonard Cohen's a
- 1:10:41Speaker 2: good guess.
- 1:10:42Speaker 19: One more chance.
- 1:10:43Speaker 3: Any other guesses?
- 1:10:44Speaker 2: Give me one more chance.
- 1:10:46Speaker 20: Is it an actor?
- 1:10:47Speaker 2: He has acted.
- 1:10:48Speaker 6: What?
- 1:10:49Speaker 2: William Shatner. It's a good one.
- 1:10:53Speaker 3: I hear you.
- 1:10:54Speaker 2: That is Tom Green. Tom Green.
- 1:10:57Speaker 12: So he's doing this thing now where his whole YouTube
- 1:11:00Speaker 12: channel is just him living on his farm in Canada.
- 1:11:01Speaker 14: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:11:02Speaker 6: Uh-huh.
- 1:11:02Speaker 2: And he's producing serious songs.
- 1:11:06Speaker 3: It's not bad because it sounds like Leonard Cohen.
- 1:11:09Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 1:11:10Speaker 10: It's pretty good.
- 1:11:10Speaker 2: But to me, this is- Moody.
- 1:11:12Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:11:12Speaker 12: Tim Heidecker did this a while ago. We don't like
- 1:11:15Speaker 12: you because you sing serious songs.
- 1:11:17Speaker 3: Right. But it kind of goes hand in hand with
- 1:11:20Speaker 3: his new odd life.
- 1:11:21Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:11:22Speaker 3: Which I applaud his odd life. It's awesome.
- 1:11:24Speaker 7: We want you covered in animal guts, you know?
- 1:11:27Speaker 2: Putting your bum on things. Tom Green is living hermit.
- 1:11:31Speaker 3: I know.
- 1:11:31Speaker 2: He's a great dream.
- 1:11:33Speaker 3: Yeah, his life is really cool.
- 1:11:35Speaker 12: But to that point, and maybe to counter my point,
- 1:11:37Speaker 12: Bam Margera. He was not in the new Dead Jackass
- 1:11:40Speaker 12: movie with fresh material. He's now a kick streamer because
- 1:11:43Speaker 12: that's where you go. And he was addressing the questions
- 1:11:47Speaker 12: he always gets. Hey, what are you going to bring back?
- 1:11:49Speaker 12: You know, Viva La Bam or all these other stuff.
- 1:11:51Speaker 12: And I think Bamajira had a very honest and straightforward answer.
- 1:11:54Speaker 3: People of BAM was very fun.
- 1:11:55Speaker 2: It ran its course, but.
- 1:11:57Speaker 3: I mean, that's that.
- 1:11:59Speaker 7: I don't want it to return.
- 1:12:00Speaker 3: I don't even speak to some of the people.
- 1:12:02Speaker 7: Ryan Dunn's dead.
- 1:12:04Speaker 8: When you're like 20, it's funny to drive your Hummer
- 1:12:07Speaker 8: off a cliff, paint your parents' kitchen blue, and beat
- 1:12:10Speaker 8: your dad up when he's taking his s * * *.
- 1:12:12Speaker 8: But doing that at the age of 46, people would
- 1:12:15Speaker 8: say BAM belongs in a mental institution.
- 1:12:18Speaker 2: He's not wrong. Sounds crazy.
- 1:12:20Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:12:20Speaker 2: His voice sounds crazy.
- 1:12:21Speaker 3: Got that old man.
- 1:12:23Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:12:23Speaker 12: Tom Green painting his kid, his parents' car with lesbians
- 1:12:27Speaker 12: on it.
- 1:12:27Speaker 2: Isn't funny when he's 50.
- 1:12:28Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:12:29Speaker 2: It's funny when he's 22. Now, CBS, before we jump
- 1:12:35Speaker 2: back in, we can audio, uh, with you. I wanted
- 1:12:39Speaker 2: Bort to share a story that, uh, he just shared
- 1:12:42Speaker 2: with me. Um, So, yeah, you know, Bort is a
- 1:12:46Speaker 2: huge Transformers guy.
- 1:12:48Speaker 17: Right.
- 1:12:49Speaker 3: Massive.
- 1:12:49Speaker 2: And the guy who did the voice of Optimus Prime,
- 1:12:53Speaker 2: Peter Cullen.
- 1:12:54Speaker 3: Oh, that cool voice.
- 1:12:55Speaker 2: Yeah. He has passed away. And, I mean, we had Dolly,
- 1:13:01Speaker 2: Gina crushed. Yeah.
- 1:13:02Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:13:04Speaker 2: And then, you know, when it comes to something near
- 1:13:07Speaker 2: and dear to you. did a wellness check on board.
- 1:13:10Speaker 2: He goes, actually, I have a really cool story because
- 1:13:12Speaker 2: you worked with him for a minute, right?
- 1:13:14Speaker 4: Yeah, I worked with him for three years. So I
- 1:13:16Speaker 4: worked at a recording studio that was his home studio.
- 1:13:19Speaker 4: So he came in and did video games there. He
- 1:13:21Speaker 4: did his demo reels. Like I worked on a bunch
- 1:13:23Speaker 4: of stuff for him. And this was around the time
- 1:13:25Speaker 4: of after the first Michael Bay Transformers movie, but before
- 1:13:28Speaker 4: the second one.
- 1:13:29Speaker 2: And he would even come to me and go, hey, Brett,
- 1:13:32Speaker 2: do you think the Transformers fans would be mad?
- 1:13:36Speaker 4: If I held out for more money on the second movie.
- 1:13:38Speaker 2: And I'm like, well, how much did you get paid?
- 1:13:41Speaker 2: And he's like, 20,000.
- 1:13:42Speaker 4: I went, you're beloved. They will rally behind you to
- 1:13:46Speaker 4: get a little bit more money.
- 1:13:47Speaker 3: Than that, sir.
- 1:13:48Speaker 6: 20,000.
- 1:13:48Speaker 2: 20,000 for the first one, man.
- 1:13:50Speaker 3: That's surprising.
- 1:13:51Speaker 4: He got 250,000, I think, for the second one.
- 1:13:53Speaker 2: I mean, dude's got such a cool voice.
- 1:13:55Speaker 3: Right?
- 1:13:56Speaker 4: And so I worked with him for three years. He
- 1:13:58Speaker 4: was a friend, man. He was such a sweet, he
- 1:14:00Speaker 4: was a five foot tall, big hearted cowboy. He would
- 1:14:03Speaker 4: come in with a 10 gallon hat on, all this stuff, man.
- 1:14:05Speaker 4: He was just a sweetheart. So I hadn't seen him
- 1:14:07Speaker 4: in years. And I get this random call on my phone.
- 1:14:10Speaker 2: I pick it up. I'm like, hello?
- 1:14:11Speaker 4: And I hear, oh, crap.
- 1:14:13Speaker 3: He picked up.
- 1:14:15Speaker 2: Brett, this is Peter calling.
- 1:14:18Speaker 4: I'm trying to leave you a voicemail for your birthday.
- 1:14:21Speaker 2: Please hang up. And don't pick up so I can
- 1:14:25Speaker 2: leave you the voicemail. That's hilarious. Okay, Peter, thanks, man.
- 1:14:29Speaker 2: Appreciate you.
- 1:14:30Speaker 3: Yeah, you guys want to hear the voicemail?
- 1:14:31Speaker 2: Here's the voicemail. All right, so this is the voicemail
- 1:14:33Speaker 2: that Peter Collins, Brett hangs up, and then Peter Collins
- 1:14:36Speaker 2: calls back and leaves this.
- 1:14:38Speaker 11: Brett, this is Optimus Prime.
- 1:14:40Speaker 6: Job well done.
- 1:14:42Speaker 2: Now, roar out. And that was it.
- 1:14:47Speaker 8: That was it.
- 1:14:48Speaker 3: That was it. Okay, Borg, that is, like, really awesome.
- 1:14:51Speaker 3: Not that I know anything about Transformers, but I know
- 1:14:54Speaker 3: that voice. Yeah. That is so cool.
- 1:14:56Speaker 4: He was such a genuine, wonderful human being, man.
- 1:14:58Speaker 2: He will so be missed.
- 1:15:00Speaker 5: This is Optimus Prime.
- 1:15:02Speaker 2: Job well done.
- 1:15:04Speaker 8: Now, roll out.
- 1:15:06Speaker 3: Yeah. That's awesome.
- 1:15:08Speaker 2: That's so cool, man.
- 1:15:08Speaker 16: Roll out.
- 1:15:09Speaker 4: Man, again, iconic voice, not just for Optimus Prime, but
- 1:15:12Speaker 4: he did Eeyore. He did so many voices in the
- 1:15:15Speaker 4: 80s and 90s.
- 1:15:15Speaker 3: Damn.
- 1:15:16Speaker 2: He was beloved by so many. I watched a video
- 1:15:18Speaker 2: about him and his career and different things that he's done.
- 1:15:21Speaker 2: He seemed like a really cool guy.
- 1:15:22Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:15:23Speaker 2: So rest in peace, Peter Cullen.
- 1:15:25Speaker 3: That is great. Thanks, guys. This week in audio, Seabass,
- 1:15:27Speaker 3: what else you got?
- 1:15:28Speaker 2: This is from Menace and Greg Gorey.
- 1:15:31Speaker 3: Okay.
- 1:15:32Speaker 2: Frank Somerville.
- 1:15:33Speaker 6: Oh, my God, yes.
- 1:15:35Speaker 2: Legendary San Francisco newscaster. KUTV or KTV, whatever the hell
- 1:15:40Speaker 2: it was.
- 1:15:41Speaker 12: Well, he's on a kick on his social media, Instagram.
- 1:15:44Speaker 3: He had quite a fall from grace.
- 1:15:46Speaker 12: Here he is telling us a little bit about that
- 1:15:49Speaker 12: fall from grace.
- 1:15:50Speaker 11: So when I was at Channel 2, I was making
- 1:15:51Speaker 11: a lot of money. But I was spending a lot
- 1:15:54Speaker 11: of it on.
- 1:15:55Speaker 2: Coke and alcohol.
- 1:15:56Speaker 11: I think back then a gram of Coke was maybe
- 1:15:59Speaker 11: 100 or 120, something like that. Anyhow, my wife and
- 1:16:02Speaker 11: I decided that I would only have an Amex card
- 1:16:05Speaker 11: and she'd give me $ 20 in cash a day. That
- 1:16:09Speaker 11: way I couldn't buy Coke, theoretically. So what I do,
- 1:16:13Speaker 11: for example, is with my dealer, I'd say, can I
- 1:16:15Speaker 11: go buy you groceries? And I paid them that way.
- 1:16:18Speaker 11: That's the kind of shit you do. But thank God
- 1:16:21Speaker 11: I'm 20 months clean in two days.
- 1:16:24Speaker 2: So stay strong.
- 1:16:26Speaker 11: Don't let your dreams die in comfort zones. And have
- 1:16:29Speaker 11: a kick-ass.
- 1:16:32Speaker 10: I love how creative addicts are.
- 1:16:35Speaker 14: All right.
- 1:16:35Speaker 2: So I think that's another, that's, that's, that's a place
- 1:16:39Speaker 2: where you can count in months and it's appropriate.
- 1:16:42Speaker 8: Yes.
- 1:16:42Speaker 3: Like when people, yeah.
- 1:16:44Speaker 2: Like, so your kid zero to 24 months, then at
- 1:16:47Speaker 2: that point you got to say they're two.
- 1:16:49Speaker 6: Yep.
- 1:16:49Speaker 3: Don't say they're 26 months.
- 1:16:51Speaker 13: Oh, I thought you were even against past a year.
- 1:16:54Speaker 2: Overall, but once you're a year old, anything under a year,
- 1:16:57Speaker 2: but then you have to quantify it somehow. Yeah, seven months,
- 1:16:59Speaker 2: eight months, whatever. A year, you can say, oh, he's
- 1:17:02Speaker 2: one year old.
- 1:17:03Speaker 10: But over 24 months, we're starting to laugh.
- 1:17:05Speaker 2: But when you're talking about like cocaine and how long
- 1:17:07Speaker 2: you've been able to... I'll give you that. That's another appropriate.
- 1:17:11Speaker 2: We're all.
- 1:17:11Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:17:12Speaker 7: So just imagine.
- 1:17:12Speaker 6: Oh, wow.
- 1:17:13Speaker 2: Right, Greg?
- 1:17:13Speaker 3: Yeah, I know.
- 1:17:14Speaker 7: So just imagine your favorite newscaster that you just watch
- 1:17:17Speaker 7: every day who just looks like, you know, some straight
- 1:17:19Speaker 7: laced guy. He gets fired one day and then this
- 1:17:22Speaker 7: is all of his social media.
- 1:17:23Speaker 3: So, yeah.
- 1:17:24Speaker 12: And by the way, that's all of the social media.
- 1:17:25Speaker 12: There's a lot of. Shirtless selfies. I'm passing one around.
- 1:17:31Speaker 12: He's got a Krav Maga phone case. And his next
- 1:17:36Speaker 12: video talks about why he is doing all this.
- 1:17:39Speaker 11: I don't want to sound arrogant or cocky or overconfident.
- 1:17:43Speaker 11: But I was telling someone today that this recovery thing
- 1:17:46Speaker 11: is easy.
- 1:17:47Speaker 2: It's not difficult for me. It's easy. Yeah, stupid. Because
- 1:17:50Speaker 2: I'm loving living life. I'm loving that.
- 1:17:54Speaker 11: I go to the gym six days a week and
- 1:17:55Speaker 11: I've transformed my body.
- 1:17:57Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 1:17:57Speaker 11: I love that at 68, I can wear a compression
- 1:18:00Speaker 11: shirt and feel like I look pretty badass.
- 1:18:02Speaker 2: You sure do.
- 1:18:02Speaker 11: I get it.
- 1:18:04Speaker 3: Go Frank!
- 1:18:05Speaker 2: I look pretty badass.
- 1:18:06Speaker 10: There's something in the addict community called the pink cloud,
- 1:18:09Speaker 10: and that sounds like something he might be in right now.
- 1:18:11Speaker 2: So it's basically transference of his addiction behavior onto something else?
- 1:18:14Speaker 10: Yeah, and like, I've never felt better, but then the
- 1:18:16Speaker 10: high kind of wears off.
- 1:18:18Speaker 7: Right, exactly.
- 1:18:20Speaker 12: When you get into CrossFit or Krav Maga, you tell
- 1:18:23Speaker 12: everybody about it, and.
- 1:18:24Speaker 2: That's all he's doing.
- 1:18:25Speaker 3: Good for him.
- 1:18:26Speaker 2: Krav Maga is better than cocaine. Yeah, Jew karate, as
- 1:18:30Speaker 2: it's known on the streets.
- 1:18:32Speaker 14: Ha ha ha!
- 1:18:33Speaker 3: Is that right?
- 1:18:34Speaker 2: It's Israeli martial arts.
- 1:18:35Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:18:36Speaker 12: That's an always sunny line. So I think you might
- 1:18:41Speaker 12: be hearing a little more of the pink cloud from
- 1:18:43Speaker 12: one Chet Hanks.
- 1:18:44Speaker 4: Oh.
- 1:18:44Speaker 6: Chet.
- 1:18:45Speaker 2: Now, Chet, also deep into cocaine a couple years ago.
- 1:18:48Speaker 2: Son of Tom Hanks. Out of it now. And now he, too,
- 1:18:51Speaker 2: is using his- Former Jamaican? Former Booyakasha.
- 1:18:54Speaker 12: He's now using his social media also to talk about
- 1:18:57Speaker 12: sobriety and living the good life.
- 1:18:58Speaker 2: Yo, what up, king? What's good, queen? Yeah, we're all
- 1:19:02Speaker 2: kings and queens these days, right?
- 1:19:04Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 1:19:04Speaker 2: That's cool. But check this out. Don't ever call me king,
- 1:19:07Speaker 2: because there's only one king. And that's Yeshua.
- 1:19:10Speaker 12: Yep.
- 1:19:11Speaker 2: The Most High.
- 1:19:12Speaker 7: Christ.
- 1:19:13Speaker 6: Yeshua.
- 1:19:14Speaker 3: Speak his name.
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: Yeshua.
- 1:19:16Speaker 7: JC up, doc.
- 1:19:18Speaker 2: I will say exercise and Jesus are where these addicts
- 1:19:22Speaker 2: love that stuff. It's a great replacement.
- 1:19:24Speaker 7: Hell yeah.
- 1:19:25Speaker 2: Which again, I'll take it. Absolutely.
- 1:19:26Speaker 7: Go for cocaine.
- 1:19:27Speaker 3: This week in audio.
- 1:19:28Speaker 2: Fun with accents time.
- 1:19:30Speaker 4: Yes.
- 1:19:30Speaker 2: Australian.
- 1:19:31Speaker 3: How's your pie? Yes, please.
- 1:19:33Speaker 2: This is from 60 Minutes Australia. I love that. And
- 1:19:35Speaker 2: this is the promo they're running. Try not to laugh.
- 1:19:38Speaker 2: for a mum who was attacked by an Australian wildlife.
- 1:19:41Speaker 2: I thought, she's not going to have a mum. She's
- 1:19:43Speaker 2: going to grow up without a mum. The most incredible
- 1:19:50Speaker 2: hour of television.
- 1:19:53Speaker 10: I couldn't handle that.
- 1:19:54Speaker 2: I didn't want her not to have a mum. You'll
- 1:19:56Speaker 2: see this year. I just thought I've got to fight it.
- 1:19:59Speaker 2: I'm going to do everything I can to be here. Wait,
- 1:20:08Speaker 2: what happened? She got attacked by a shark.
- 1:20:10Speaker 8: Oh!
- 1:20:11Speaker 3: Oh, okay. Okay, terrific. That does sound like the greatest
- 1:20:17Speaker 3: hour of TV ever.
- 1:20:18Speaker 6: I know.
- 1:20:19Speaker 3: I'm intrigued. I gotta see this.
- 1:20:21Speaker 14: I'm down.
- 1:20:21Speaker 2: That was good.
- 1:20:24Speaker 5: All right.
- 1:20:24Speaker 2: This week in audio.
- 1:20:25Speaker 12: Our local Inside Edition, our better news magazines over here,
- 1:20:29Speaker 12: they had a profile on a special ride that some
- 1:20:33Speaker 12: local police officers took.
- 1:20:35Speaker 14: It started with the suspect sprinting down a street in Houston,
- 1:20:38Speaker 14: followed by a police officer and her partner. That's when
- 1:20:42Speaker 14: the partner sees a civilian coming by in a car.
- 1:20:44Speaker 3: Hey, give me a ride over there, please.
- 1:20:46Speaker 14: She jumps in.
- 1:20:47Speaker 6: Go.
- 1:20:47Speaker 2: Go that way.
- 1:20:48Speaker 6: That way.
- 1:20:49Speaker 14: And the chase is on.
- 1:20:51Speaker 3: Go, go, go, go, go.
- 1:20:51Speaker 6: All right.
- 1:20:53Speaker 14: Turns out he's an Uber driver. Then they see the
- 1:20:56Speaker 14: other cop.
- 1:20:56Speaker 13: I'm in here.
- 1:20:58Speaker 14: And he picks her up, too.
- 1:20:59Speaker 2: Which way did he go? Over here.
- 1:21:02Speaker 12: Now, both these ladies, as this pains me to say
- 1:21:05Speaker 12: as a feminist, should not be police officers. There's a
- 1:21:08Speaker 12: reason they're huffing and puffing. They are, as we would say, tortas.
- 1:21:14Speaker 12: Folks who are not familiar are chubby Spanish ladies or
- 1:21:18Speaker 12: Mexican-American ladies.
- 1:21:19Speaker 2: And because the guy is always in the community.
- 1:21:22Speaker 7: On these streets.
- 1:21:23Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:21:24Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:21:24Speaker 7: They are.
- 1:21:25Speaker 2: The guy is jogging casually and he's.
- 1:21:27Speaker 3: Just smoking them.
- 1:21:29Speaker 7: Just smoking them.
- 1:21:30Speaker 12: And they're hard as they can, maybe four miles an hour,
- 1:21:32Speaker 12: until they see the Uber driver.
- 1:21:34Speaker 7: Oh, thank God.
- 1:21:35Speaker 2: But now, thank God that they found the Uber driver,
- 1:21:37Speaker 2: because this was the result here.
- 1:21:39Speaker 9: The suspects wanted for allegedly threatening to shoot a woman
- 1:21:42Speaker 9: and her children got away, but police still praised Anthony
- 1:21:46Speaker 9: for doing what he could to help.
- 1:21:49Speaker 2: All right.
- 1:21:50Speaker 7: It's embarrassing.
- 1:21:51Speaker 2: All right, question for police officers.
- 1:21:54Speaker 3: Did they lower.
- 1:21:55Speaker 2: the standards as far as like, you.
- 1:21:58Speaker 3: Know, everything.
- 1:21:59Speaker 2: No, I'm saying like for like physical ability or I
- 1:22:03Speaker 2: don't know what it was before. There's a lot more
- 1:22:05Speaker 2: videos I'm seeing. where cops are trying to apprehend a
- 1:22:08Speaker 2: person and there's like five or six cops. And they're
- 1:22:10Speaker 2: just getting wailed on. And like, how does it take
- 1:22:13Speaker 2: more than five cops to get one person down on
- 1:22:16Speaker 2: the ground?
- 1:22:16Speaker 7: No, I know a listener that is applying and there
- 1:22:19Speaker 7: is a physical thing to it because they had to
- 1:22:22Speaker 7: like get fit for it. But I think it's like
- 1:22:25Speaker 7: kind of- Thumb wrestling?
- 1:22:26Speaker 2: Like what are they doing?
- 1:22:27Speaker 7: No, I think it's like, kind of like after you
- 1:22:29Speaker 7: get married, you just pass the test and then.
- 1:22:31Speaker 2: That's exactly it.
- 1:22:32Speaker 3: A friend of mine just went through the academy and said,
- 1:22:35Speaker 3: you have a lot of physical standards that you have
- 1:22:38Speaker 3: to meet. The day you get hired, you can gain
- 1:22:40Speaker 3: 500 pounds. Right.
- 1:22:42Speaker 12: I see that walking around New York City and there's
- 1:22:43Speaker 12: these like five foot two, 300 pound men and women.
- 1:22:47Speaker 12: And how do you fight crime?
- 1:22:48Speaker 10: Well, Adam Carolla has a great idea about that. You
- 1:22:51Speaker 10: get issued one bulletproof vest the day you're a rookie cop,
- 1:22:54Speaker 10: and that's the one you keep your entire career.
- 1:22:57Speaker 2: So that's up to you. It's like that couple I
- 1:22:59Speaker 2: know where they signed that agreement that she's got to
- 1:23:01Speaker 2: stay her wedding weight. Exactly right. You got to fit
- 1:23:03Speaker 2: in that dress. They had a couple of kids and
- 1:23:05Speaker 2: everything else.
- 1:23:06Speaker 3: And she agreed to it.
- 1:23:07Speaker 2: She's like, yep.
- 1:23:08Speaker 3: And she's got to be able to fit in that dress, man.
- 1:23:10Speaker 10: Now, the National Police Association dot org has a headline
- 1:23:13Speaker 10: that says lowering fitness standards for public safety jeopardizes lives.
- 1:23:17Speaker 2: So apparently this is a thing. What is, quote, popular
- 1:23:22Speaker 2: and huge? And we're going to wrap up this round
- 1:23:28Speaker 2: of the week in audio. Outrage alert. Outrage alert.
- 1:23:31Speaker 4: Uh-oh.
- 1:23:32Speaker 6: Get ready.
- 1:23:32Speaker 2: This involves golf. Oh. Golf outrage. Were you wearing some
- 1:23:37Speaker 2: kind of golf shirt the other day, Menace?
- 1:23:39Speaker 7: Me?
- 1:23:39Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:23:40Speaker 7: Oh, it's the brand golf.
- 1:23:42Speaker 2: Oh, like golf?
- 1:23:43Speaker 3: Or was it?
- 1:23:44Speaker 2: What does it say?
- 1:23:45Speaker 3: It says anti-golf right now.
- 1:23:46Speaker 7: Yeah, but it's from the brand golf.
- 1:23:48Speaker 2: I thought it was golf.
- 1:23:49Speaker 7: It's Tyler the Creator.
- 1:23:49Speaker 3: Tyler the Creator, yeah.
- 1:23:50Speaker 2: Yeah, that's why I was wearing it.
- 1:23:51Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:23:52Speaker 2: It's rep the hood.
- 1:23:53Speaker 12: It's not hood. So the brand is good, good, ugh.
- 1:23:59Speaker 12: They are partnering with Callaway Golf Clubs. And the promo
- 1:24:03Speaker 12: that's caused outrage involves, I guess, the founder of Good Good.
- 1:24:07Speaker 12: And he sees a female golfer grabbing his new Callaway
- 1:24:11Speaker 12: Golf Club driver out of his golf bag. He says, uh-uh,
- 1:24:15Speaker 12: I don't like that. He runs over and basically knocks
- 1:24:18Speaker 12: her to the ground. Sounds like this.
- 1:24:22Speaker 3: Do not touch my new driver.
- 1:24:27Speaker 2: And then, yeah. Was that necessary?
- 1:24:30Speaker 10: Does it, like, make it extra funny?
- 1:24:31Speaker 12: No, it's a stupid ad, but because, as you might imagine,
- 1:24:34Speaker 12: it's a man body checking a woman to the ground.
- 1:24:38Speaker 2: That's a little weird, right?
- 1:24:39Speaker 3: Don't touch my clothes.
- 1:24:40Speaker 7: It's weird.
- 1:24:41Speaker 2: I don't think it's funny or interesting. But is it?
- 1:24:44Speaker 2: But now it's outrage because it's, you know, domestic violence.
- 1:24:46Speaker 3: Of course.
- 1:24:47Speaker 10: Well, but there's no, like, if there was a great punchline,
- 1:24:49Speaker 10: I'd be like, lighten up.
- 1:24:50Speaker 2: You know, it's a great payoff. I'm not getting it. Right,
- 1:24:53Speaker 2: and obviously she knew that she was shooting a commercial
- 1:24:55Speaker 2: where this would happen. It's very strange. Yeah, it's odd.
- 1:24:59Speaker 2: And I hate the name Good Good.
- 1:25:00Speaker 6: Ugh.
- 1:25:01Speaker 3: Good Good.
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: Die.
- 1:25:02Speaker 2: Good Good. Die, die. What happens is.
- 1:25:05Speaker 12: Let me explain a little bit for why I hate
- 1:25:06Speaker 12: stuff like this. So, like, Good Good, that was maybe...
- 1:25:10Speaker 12: hip hop slang 25 years ago. Maybe like, maybe, maybe
- 1:25:13Speaker 12: in an outcast video or something.
- 1:25:14Speaker 7: That good, good.
- 1:25:15Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:25:16Speaker 12: But what happens is then people, oh, hip hop's cool.
- 1:25:19Speaker 12: Let me use that for my advertising for my.
- 1:25:21Speaker 2: Golf club company. Yeah.
- 1:25:24Speaker 3: Dorky loser.
- 1:25:25Speaker 2: Bro-y.
- 1:25:25Speaker 12: Yeah, no, that's why I hate slang a lot because it's,
- 1:25:28Speaker 12: it all starts from either gay culture or hip hop,
- 1:25:31Speaker 12: gets co-opted by stupid golf CEOs.
- 1:25:35Speaker 3: Take it easy, fam.
- 1:25:36Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly.
- 1:25:38Speaker 12: So when I hear a 45-year-old on SportsCenter talk about
- 1:25:41Speaker 12: getting that bag.
- 1:25:43Speaker 2: Screw off!
- 1:25:43Speaker 3: You suck!
- 1:25:45Speaker 7: That's chopped, for sure.
- 1:25:46Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 1:25:47Speaker 3: This week in audio.
- 1:25:48Speaker 12: Oh, speaking of women getting hurt, this is the Woody
- 1:25:52Speaker 12: Show original game, How'd That Woman Get Hurt?
- 1:25:53Speaker 2: No, How'd They Owie? How'd They Owie? It's when you
- 1:25:55Speaker 2: hear the audio of somebody getting hurt. I'll give you
- 1:25:58Speaker 2: a clue. These are women in Baltimore.
- 1:26:00Speaker 12: Okay.
- 1:26:01Speaker 2: How'd They Owie?
- 1:26:02Speaker 6: How'd They Owie?
- 1:26:11Speaker 2: Oh, no.
- 1:26:11Speaker 7: Y'all good?
- 1:26:12Speaker 3: Okay, so it's an overhead light bulb that shattered.
- 1:26:15Speaker 2: I was going to say scaffolding.
- 1:26:17Speaker 7: They knocked over a Hennessy display.
- 1:26:20Speaker 9: Yeah, I was going to say fell into the alcohol
- 1:26:21Speaker 9: display at like a grocery store.
- 1:26:22Speaker 2: Just because it's Baltimore?
- 1:26:24Speaker 7: Okay.
- 1:26:26Speaker 12: Okay, these are all pretty close. Yeah, these are two
- 1:26:29Speaker 12: young ladies on a lime scooter. And unfortunately, women don't
- 1:26:33Speaker 12: know how to drive. So they just go crashing through
- 1:26:35Speaker 12: the plate glass window of a cinnamon bun store.
- 1:26:39Speaker 2: Rescue the cinnamon buns.
- 1:26:41Speaker 12: Well, luckily it's far from the buns. The front of
- 1:26:43Speaker 12: the store. But yeah, it sounded just like this.
- 1:26:45Speaker 2: Did we delete it already? Yeah, no, it's the same one, right?
- 1:26:55Speaker 3: It's hilarious. I'm so sorry.
- 1:26:59Speaker 2: That was very nice.
- 1:27:01Speaker 3: Damn. Lucky she didn't get killed.
- 1:27:05Speaker 2: Let's get one more clip this week in audio.
- 1:27:08Speaker 12: This is a woman getting hurt, but her feelings getting hurt, actually.
- 1:27:11Speaker 12: This is from NBC New York, where a woman went
- 1:27:13Speaker 12: to go have a nice birthday dinner, and they do
- 1:27:15Speaker 12: that custom dessert thing, where sometimes they'll put a little dessert,
- 1:27:18Speaker 12: a little candle in it, and maybe they'll even write
- 1:27:20Speaker 12: a special message in frosting or in this little drizzle.
- 1:27:24Speaker 12: That's what happened to this restaurant.
- 1:27:26Speaker 17: It was supposed to be a night of celebration.
- 1:27:28Speaker 20: It was the day before my 29th birthday.
- 1:27:31Speaker 17: Antonia Cinebaldi, who's been using a wheelchair since the age
- 1:27:34Speaker 17: of two, celebrated with friends and family at the stylish
- 1:27:38Speaker 17: Blue on the Hudson in Weehawken.
- 1:27:40Speaker 20: My cousin and I ordered the same dessert, something, apple
- 1:27:44Speaker 20: cinnamon pie, something like that.
- 1:27:47Speaker 17: But the sweet treat left a bitter taste in everyone's mouth,
- 1:27:51Speaker 17: what the drizzle text says.
- 1:27:53Speaker 2: Happy birthday, wheelchair.
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: What?
- 1:27:56Speaker 3: Happy birthday, wheelchair?
- 1:27:58Speaker 2: Happy birthday, wheelchair.
- 1:28:01Speaker 10: Is this one of those bakery mess-ups where it's like,
- 1:28:05Speaker 10: we're talking about the.
- 1:28:06Speaker 7: Girl in the wheelchair?
- 1:28:07Speaker 2: That is correct, Gina.
- 1:28:08Speaker 3: Yes, yes.
- 1:28:09Speaker 7: It's one of those things where.
- 1:28:10Speaker 3: Happy birthday, wheelchair.
- 1:28:12Speaker 2: Where does it end? For the girl in the wheelchair.
- 1:28:14Speaker 2: So they wrote.
- 1:28:16Speaker 10: On the ticket, happy birthday wheelchair.
- 1:28:18Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a seat it's supposed to go to, but
- 1:28:20Speaker 2: the person back on the back's like, whatever, I don't care.
- 1:28:23Speaker 6: Oh, God.
- 1:28:24Speaker 3: Somebody took their time and wrote that.
- 1:28:26Speaker 12: So, by the way, we all complain about AI and
- 1:28:29Speaker 12: Roblox taking our jobs.
- 1:28:30Speaker 2: Roblox, don't put happy birthday wheelchair on there. Let me
- 1:28:33Speaker 2: know better.
- 1:28:34Speaker 12: And yeah, here is, apparently now, I don't know if
- 1:28:36Speaker 12: they're going for money, but this lady said she had
- 1:28:39Speaker 12: quite the reaction upon seeing happy birthday wheelchair.
- 1:28:41Speaker 17: Cinnabaldi says the birthday message left everyone speechless, including her,
- 1:28:46Speaker 17: sending her into a physical reaction.
- 1:28:48Speaker 14: So the body started shaking.
- 1:28:50Speaker 8: The body started spasming. The body reacted faster than my
- 1:28:56Speaker 8: mouth on my mic.
- 1:28:58Speaker 3: What?
- 1:28:58Speaker 12: So she said her body started shaking and spasming.
- 1:29:01Speaker 2: Upon seeing.
- 1:29:02Speaker 7: The word wheelchair?
- 1:29:05Speaker 2: Is this news to you? They're sharing a wheelchair?
- 1:29:09Speaker 3: Never seen that word before.
- 1:29:10Speaker 2: This thing has been attached to me for the past
- 1:29:13Speaker 2: 28 years.
- 1:29:13Speaker 6: Who knows?
- 1:29:14Speaker 7: Maybe it was your wheelchair's birthday.
- 1:29:16Speaker 3: Thank you. Thank you.
- 1:29:18Speaker 7: Maybe we got made that day.
- 1:29:19Speaker 3: Well, there we go.
- 1:29:20Speaker 2: This week in audio.
- 1:29:22Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:29:23Speaker 2: Thank you, Seabass. Happy birthday, wheelchair. More Woody Show next.
- 1:29:25Speaker 2: Hang on.
- 1:29:26Speaker 3: They were not what I thought they were. I thought
- 1:29:29Speaker 3: the only purpose was to make the outside world disappear.
- 1:29:33Speaker 2: The Woody Show. We'll be right back. The Woody Show. Oh,
- 1:29:39Speaker 2: I don't like the smell.
- 1:29:41Speaker 6: It's back.
- 1:29:45Speaker 2: It is a throwback Thursday.
- 1:29:47Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:29:47Speaker 3: And it's time to welcome into the studio. He is
- 1:29:49Speaker 3: the pride of Pacoima.
- 1:29:51Speaker 2: He is the senior vice president and managing partner of
- 1:29:53Speaker 2: Club Turnup. Ladies and gentlemen, T.O. Tim Martinez. He goes
- 1:30:02Speaker 2: by so many different names now.
- 1:30:03Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:30:04Speaker 3: So many.
- 1:30:04Speaker 2: Yeah. I always mean to intro you as DJ Tim Martinez.
- 1:30:08Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 1:30:08Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:30:09Speaker 2: Because the T.O. Tim thing, while that is the bit.
- 1:30:12Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 1:30:12Speaker 3: You are DJ Tim Martini.
- 1:30:14Speaker 6: I am.
- 1:30:15Speaker 3: And always will be.
- 1:30:16Speaker 2: DJ Tim Mart.
- 1:30:17Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying? Oh, babe. How you doing, buddy?
- 1:30:19Speaker 2: Everything all good?
- 1:30:20Speaker 7: Everything's great.
- 1:30:21Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:30:21Speaker 7: I mean, minus the heat, everything's lovely.
- 1:30:24Speaker 16: Yeah.
- 1:30:24Speaker 8: Okay.
- 1:30:24Speaker 2: There we go. We were just talking.
- 1:30:25Speaker 3: Greg's like all bummed out. I know. Summer's almost ending.
- 1:30:28Speaker 3: The heat wave's going away. He says that, but.
- 1:30:30Speaker 2: He acts as if this is like not where it's
- 1:30:33Speaker 2: warm or at least comfortable throughout the entire year.
- 1:30:36Speaker 7: So you enjoy this.
- 1:30:38Speaker 2: He loves it.
- 1:30:39Speaker 3: Oh, he loves it. He lives for it. Same with menace. Yeah,
- 1:30:41Speaker 3: I love it.
- 1:30:44Speaker 2: Summer heat doesn't end in August or even September. It's
- 1:30:47Speaker 2: October and it's hot.
- 1:30:49Speaker 3: I'm putting more and more people on the pet peeve
- 1:30:51Speaker 3: list who... Live in L.A. and they bitch about warm weather.
- 1:30:55Speaker 3: Do you know where you are?
- 1:30:56Speaker 2: This isn't warm weather.
- 1:30:58Speaker 3: And I'm surrounded by people. I can't wait for it
- 1:31:00Speaker 3: to cool down and get rainy.
- 1:31:03Speaker 2: There's a different move. I think when people think of
- 1:31:07Speaker 2: Southern California, they don't think of desert heat like Phoenix.
- 1:31:11Speaker 8: Yeah, exactly.
- 1:31:11Speaker 3: That's what you want.
- 1:31:13Speaker 2: It sounds like you want Phoenix. You like the 110.
- 1:31:16Speaker 2: The ideal temperature, like Southern California, low humidity and like
- 1:31:20Speaker 2: 80 degrees.
- 1:31:21Speaker 6: 80? Yeah.
- 1:31:22Speaker 7: I wish I would get 80. I know.
- 1:31:24Speaker 3: It just seems like we've been waiting for this all year.
- 1:31:29Speaker 3: Nobody's been waiting for this number one.
- 1:31:31Speaker 7: Hold on. Greg and I did a deep dive, and
- 1:31:33Speaker 7: it has, in the past 10 years, has gotten colder.
- 1:31:36Speaker 3: Gotten colder.
- 1:31:37Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:31:38Speaker 2: So this is the one spot on the planet where
- 1:31:40Speaker 2: it's not gotten warmer.
- 1:31:42Speaker 3: Correct.
- 1:31:43Speaker 16: It's so uncomfortable, and my barometer is, if I have...
- 1:31:47Speaker 16: boob sweat like all day long.
- 1:31:50Speaker 3: It's too hot.
- 1:31:50Speaker 2: It's a problem.
- 1:31:51Speaker 3: It's a problem. No, I mean, I know it gets
- 1:31:53Speaker 3: mega hot. I was working in the yard the other
- 1:31:55Speaker 3: day and I was wearing a baseball cap. And when
- 1:31:57Speaker 3: I was done, you would have thought I submerged it
- 1:31:59Speaker 3: in water.
- 1:31:59Speaker 8: Correct.
- 1:32:00Speaker 3: It was literally dripping. It was damn hot. Too hot.
- 1:32:03Speaker 3: But you know what? It's fine for a few weeks.
- 1:32:06Speaker 7: So I guess.
- 1:32:07Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:32:09Speaker 3: Or maybe a month, you know, it's nice.
- 1:32:12Speaker 7: We're not going to go to the beach and have
- 1:32:13Speaker 7: pina coladas together then, Tim? You're not down?
- 1:32:16Speaker 3: We are not.
- 1:32:18Speaker 16: I'm not going out of the house or the office
- 1:32:20Speaker 16: for the next month, for sure.
- 1:32:22Speaker 6: Wow.
- 1:32:23Speaker 2: Well, I can only imagine. We're giving away this trip
- 1:32:25Speaker 2: to Vegas for the iHeart Festival. And Tim, you're going
- 1:32:27Speaker 2: to be outside a lot because he runs the daytime thing.
- 1:32:30Speaker 2: The House of Music.
- 1:32:31Speaker 6: The House of Music.
- 1:32:32Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:32:32Speaker 2: Which is outside and like, dude, that's got Vegas heat.
- 1:32:35Speaker 3: Is he right?
- 1:32:36Speaker 2: Vegas, Phoenix. It sounds like that's where you need to live.
- 1:32:39Speaker 2: I might have to go to Phoenix.
- 1:32:41Speaker 3: Might go to Phoenix.
- 1:32:42Speaker 2: Sounds like that's what you want.
- 1:32:43Speaker 3: It sounds that way. It does.
- 1:32:45Speaker 2: All right. It's Throwback Thursday. We're going to open the
- 1:32:47Speaker 2: club with DJ Tim Martinez, but it's time to ask
- 1:32:51Speaker 2: some questions.
- 1:32:51Speaker 3: It's time for a round of T.O.
- 1:32:53Speaker 5: Tim.
- 1:32:53Speaker 2: Yeah. Tim is a wise, wise man. And we get
- 1:32:58Speaker 2: your questions. If you have a question that you would
- 1:33:00Speaker 2: like to have asked for a future round of T.O. Tim,
- 1:33:03Speaker 2: you can send it to us on the text over
- 1:33:05Speaker 2: to 22987 or send it to us through the email,
- 1:33:09Speaker 2: email at thewoodyshow.com. All right, birthday boy, Jeff Garcia, question
- 1:33:16Speaker 2: number one.
- 1:33:17Speaker 18: So question number one, this is a debate that happens
- 1:33:19Speaker 18: all the time, and I'm really sad that Seabass isn't
- 1:33:21Speaker 18: here because he loves when we use the word goat.
- 1:33:24Speaker 3: So T.O.
- 1:33:24Speaker 18: Tim, what is the goat taco? So many choices. So
- 1:33:29Speaker 18: many different types of tacos. What is the goat taco?
- 1:33:34Speaker 4: Dang.
- 1:33:35Speaker 3: Can't we do top three? If you want to do
- 1:33:37Speaker 3: top three, I'm fine with it. Just count down three
- 1:33:39Speaker 3: to one.
- 1:33:40Speaker 2: Oh, that's okay.
- 1:33:41Speaker 8: All right.
- 1:33:43Speaker 2: Easy.
- 1:33:44Speaker 3: Okay. So we're picking one or we're picking three? You
- 1:33:49Speaker 3: can do three to one.
- 1:33:50Speaker 6: Sure.
- 1:33:50Speaker 3: Why not?
- 1:33:53Speaker 18: No taco left behind on this show.
- 1:33:56Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:33:58Speaker 3: I don't know if I've ever been more confident.
- 1:34:00Speaker 2: Yeah, I feel pretty good about this, too.
- 1:34:01Speaker 19: Yeah.
- 1:34:03Speaker 3: All right, so you guys ready?
- 1:34:05Speaker 2: Yes. All right, so if I had to say which
- 1:34:07Speaker 2: one I think will be number one, I think it's
- 1:34:09Speaker 2: got to be Carnitas, right?
- 1:34:12Speaker 3: So that's number one.
- 1:34:12Speaker 2: But then El Pastor, and then I would say either
- 1:34:16Speaker 2: like Barbacoa or just a Carne Asada.
- 1:34:18Speaker 6: Okay.
- 1:34:19Speaker 2: Oh, we have some overlap.
- 1:34:21Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:34:22Speaker 3: All right, so number one. Oh, I didn't even show
- 1:34:24Speaker 3: it here to the camera. There we go.
- 1:34:25Speaker 10: Yeah, my number three, I said shrimp. My number two, barbacoa.
- 1:34:29Speaker 10: And number one, no doubt about it, al pastor.
- 1:34:33Speaker 3: Okay. All right. Greg. I totally broke the rules. I
- 1:34:36Speaker 3: only put two. But number one, carne asada. Number two, carnitas.
- 1:34:41Speaker 3: All right.
- 1:34:42Speaker 7: Menace. I'm still thinking. But I put number one, al pastor.
- 1:34:47Speaker 7: Number two, carne asada and carnitas.
- 1:34:50Speaker 2: Wait, I got to see that.
- 1:34:51Speaker 6: It's a.
- 1:34:53Speaker 3: It's always good seeing menaces. Let me see. Konansta.
- 1:34:57Speaker 2: Yeah, here. So, yeah, carne asada is C-O-N-A-N-A-S-T-A.
- 1:35:03Speaker 7: Konansta.
- 1:35:04Speaker 3: Konansta.
- 1:35:05Speaker 2: And then what's on the bottom there?
- 1:35:06Speaker 3: What does that say? It says it looks like continue four.
- 1:35:08Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:35:09Speaker 7: Kanta. What's kanta? What is it?
- 1:35:12Speaker 3: What is it? Kanta taco.
- 1:35:13Speaker 6: Oh, oh, that.
- 1:35:14Speaker 7: Wait.
- 1:35:17Speaker 16: Wait.
- 1:35:19Speaker 7: Kanta.
- 1:35:21Speaker 3: Dog.
- 1:35:21Speaker 1: Dog.
- 1:35:22Speaker 3: What is it?
- 1:35:24Speaker 7: Kanye Kanye Kanye Asada Kanye Asada what are you doing that's.
- 1:35:31Speaker 3: So funny and for the future Al Pastor.
- 1:35:35Speaker 16: A-L A-L Al Pastor I got that one I got
- 1:35:38Speaker 16: it right Al Pastor what'd you put I.
- 1:35:42Speaker 9: Like Greg broke the rules I only have one which
- 1:35:44Speaker 9: is Karni Asada because it's the only one you need wow.
- 1:35:48Speaker 18: Alright Jeff G Karnitas Asada NVIDIA.
- 1:35:53Speaker 10: Oh, does Birria count as its own thing?
- 1:35:55Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:35:56Speaker 2: Oh, damn it.
- 1:35:56Speaker 5: It does.
- 1:35:57Speaker 7: Yeah, for sure.
- 1:35:58Speaker 2: All right. And that is super popping right now. Dude,
- 1:36:01Speaker 2: you see Birria everywhere.
- 1:36:04Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:36:04Speaker 5: All right.
- 1:36:05Speaker 3: So good.
- 1:36:05Speaker 5: T.O.
- 1:36:06Speaker 1: Tim.
- 1:36:06Speaker 3: All right.
- 1:36:08Speaker 7: I am going number one, Asada, two, Pastor.
- 1:36:12Speaker 3: Three, Birria. Wow.
- 1:36:15Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:36:16Speaker 2: That makes sense.
- 1:36:16Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:36:17Speaker 15: Nice.
- 1:36:17Speaker 6: I mean.
- 1:36:18Speaker 7: That's respectable.
- 1:36:18Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:36:18Speaker 15: All right.
- 1:36:19Speaker 3: Well, I whiffed on that one.
- 1:36:21Speaker 2: No. I was so confident. I was so confident.
- 1:36:24Speaker 6: No, your list is good.
- 1:36:25Speaker 2: This is great.
- 1:36:27Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:36:27Speaker 2: All right.
- 1:36:27Speaker 3: Let's see.
- 1:36:29Speaker 2: Question number two for T.O.
- 1:36:30Speaker 7: Tim.
- 1:36:31Speaker 2: Jeff G., what do you got?
- 1:36:32Speaker 18: This is a little bit more of a discussion, but
- 1:36:33Speaker 18: I still think we can have answers for this as well,
- 1:36:35Speaker 18: because I'm curious to see what T.O.
- 1:36:37Speaker 3: Tim thinks.
- 1:36:37Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:36:37Speaker 7: This comes from the text line. It says, hey, T.O.
- 1:36:39Speaker 18: Tim, I'm bringing home my white boyfriend. To meet my
- 1:36:43Speaker 18: family for the first time, what should I warn him
- 1:36:46Speaker 18: about my Mexican family?
- 1:36:48Speaker 15: Ooh.
- 1:36:49Speaker 2: All right, so this could be anything.
- 1:36:50Speaker 7: From, like, how they'll treat him or.
- 1:36:53Speaker 2: What they'll ask him.
- 1:36:54Speaker 7: Yeah, what should you.
- 1:36:56Speaker 3: I just wrote down my father.
- 1:36:59Speaker 2: You warn that boyfriend about your father. Tim, do your
- 1:37:03Speaker 2: kids bring home gringos?
- 1:37:05Speaker 1: Uh, no.
- 1:37:06Speaker 2: Oh, wow.
- 1:37:07Speaker 6: No.
- 1:37:07Speaker 2: No, because I would think that Tim would be the
- 1:37:09Speaker 2: one that you'd want to be concerned with. Yeah, for sure.
- 1:37:12Speaker 3: His wife is very easygoing.
- 1:37:13Speaker 7: Oh, she loves everybody.
- 1:37:14Speaker 3: You know that.
- 1:37:14Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. Oh, hi, how are you? Like, get out.
- 1:37:17Speaker 3: Yeah, see? Get out.
- 1:37:19Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, exactly.
- 1:37:20Speaker 7: But I'm not going to go down that road. I
- 1:37:22Speaker 7: think I got it.
- 1:37:23Speaker 18: I'm bringing home my white boyfriend to meet my Mexican family.
- 1:37:26Speaker 3: What should I warn him about?
- 1:37:28Speaker 2: Yeah, this is a question from the text line over
- 1:37:30Speaker 2: to 22987. All right.
- 1:37:33Speaker 3: Anybody have one written down?
- 1:37:34Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 1:37:34Speaker 7: All right, Sammy.
- 1:37:36Speaker 13: I said loud.
- 1:37:37Speaker 2: They'll be loud.
- 1:37:38Speaker 3: They'll be loud.
- 1:37:39Speaker 7: Oh, those people are always loud, right, Sammy?
- 1:37:42Speaker 2: What do you mean?
- 1:37:44Speaker 13: That was the question.
- 1:37:46Speaker 7: All right.
- 1:37:48Speaker 3: Menace?
- 1:37:49Speaker 7: I put Unk, the uncle, because I feel like the
- 1:37:54Speaker 7: parents will be kind of quiet when you first meet them,
- 1:37:56Speaker 7: at least in my experience. But the uncle is the
- 1:37:59Speaker 7: one who's going to be talking the most-ish.
- 1:38:01Speaker 3: That's true.
- 1:38:02Speaker 2: He's going to break.
- 1:38:02Speaker 3: Balls for sure. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:38:03Speaker 15: All right.
- 1:38:05Speaker 14: Greg.
- 1:38:05Speaker 3: Little general, but tons of family, cousins, et cetera. Yeah,
- 1:38:09Speaker 3: like a lot of people. A sheer volume of people.
- 1:38:11Speaker 8: Sure.
- 1:38:11Speaker 3: All right.
- 1:38:12Speaker 2: Gina. I said, you're going to church with us. Pretty religious.
- 1:38:16Speaker 7: Church with us?
- 1:38:16Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:38:18Speaker 2: Like, pretty religious family. Jeff G.
- 1:38:20Speaker 7: They're going to be watching everything you do, bro.
- 1:38:23Speaker 3: And whether you open the door.
- 1:38:25Speaker 7: They're clocking you. Everything you will do will be scrutinized.
- 1:38:30Speaker 6: For sure.
- 1:38:30Speaker 7: Make sure you're doing it right, bro. They're not going
- 1:38:32Speaker 7: to be vocal about it, but they'll be watching.
- 1:38:35Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:38:35Speaker 3: All right, T.O.
- 1:38:36Speaker 2: Tim.
- 1:38:37Speaker 7: I actually, believe it or not, said the same thing
- 1:38:41Speaker 7: as Sammy.
- 1:38:41Speaker 2: Yes, thank you. You're so racist.
- 1:38:44Speaker 16: Latino households are loud. The conversations, it's like everybody has
- 1:38:49Speaker 16: to one-up each other to.
- 1:38:52Speaker 3: Be heard? To be heard.
- 1:38:53Speaker 7: Yeah, be heard. And like, we'll get to you.
- 1:38:55Speaker 3: I swear, we'll get to you.
- 1:38:57Speaker 2: Do you think in a way this comes into play
- 1:38:59Speaker 2: with that whole argument? Menace has always brought up before. Like,
- 1:39:01Speaker 2: you'll be talking to two people, right? They're brother and sister.
- 1:39:04Speaker 2: They have the same parents. Not step siblings. They have
- 1:39:07Speaker 2: the same parents.
- 1:39:08Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:39:08Speaker 2: And it's about needing to be heard, needing to be seen,
- 1:39:10Speaker 2: needing to have some kind of like, where they'll go like,
- 1:39:12Speaker 2: they'll talk to each other. Like if you and I
- 1:39:14Speaker 2: are brothers, Tim, we'll go, well, my dad, my mom,
- 1:39:18Speaker 2: even though we have the same.
- 1:39:19Speaker 3: I hate that.
- 1:39:20Speaker 6: I hate that.
- 1:39:20Speaker 2: Menace has brought that up and ever since he brought up,
- 1:39:22Speaker 2: and now I notice it all.
- 1:39:23Speaker 3: I never noticed it.
- 1:39:24Speaker 7: Before, but now I notice it all the time. You
- 1:39:25Speaker 7: have the same mom, you have the same dad. Yeah,
- 1:39:26Speaker 7: why are you saying my mom, my dad?
- 1:39:28Speaker 3: Is it part of like this competitive thing?
- 1:39:30Speaker 7: That's a really good question. That's what I was explaining
- 1:39:32Speaker 7: to me. I also hate that. Like, I'm like, it's
- 1:39:36Speaker 7: the same person here.
- 1:39:37Speaker 2: We're talking about, right?
- 1:39:38Speaker 3: Like, Mario does that with his siblings and he said
- 1:39:41Speaker 3: it's because English is all their second language and you
- 1:39:44Speaker 3: would say me mama and then that translates to my mom.
- 1:39:48Speaker 2: That makes sense.
- 1:39:50Speaker 3: That's his theory.
- 1:39:51Speaker 10: I think it's way grosser though when someone's talking to
- 1:39:54Speaker 10: you like another adult and they're like, so anyway, mom.
- 1:39:56Speaker 2: I'm like, I hate that. I'd prefer you be like,
- 1:39:58Speaker 2: my mom. I hate that too. Bugs me. It's gross.
- 1:40:02Speaker 2: You know what I'm talking about?
- 1:40:04Speaker 8: No.
- 1:40:04Speaker 9: Like if I was talking to you, Woody, and I
- 1:40:06Speaker 9: was like, so I was talking to mom yesterday on
- 1:40:08Speaker 9: the phone, and she said, but you're like, she's not
- 1:40:10Speaker 9: my mom.
- 1:40:10Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:40:11Speaker 7: Oh, okay.
- 1:40:12Speaker 18: So we're not.
- 1:40:13Speaker 6: Okay.
- 1:40:13Speaker 8: Gotcha.
- 1:40:13Speaker 3: Woody, mom. I got you. I got you.
- 1:40:15Speaker 7: I hate that.
- 1:40:16Speaker 2: Or when grown ass people will still say daddy.
- 1:40:19Speaker 6: Ew.
- 1:40:20Speaker 19: Gross.
- 1:40:21Speaker 2: So hot.
- 1:40:22Speaker 6: So hot.
- 1:40:23Speaker 3: So hot.
- 1:40:26Speaker 2: I'm still thinking about that conversation that he and Tim had.
- 1:40:29Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:40:30Speaker 2: All right, well, if you've got a question for a
- 1:40:32Speaker 2: future round of T.O. Tim, send it on the text
- 1:40:34Speaker 2: over to 22987. You can also send it through the email,
- 1:40:38Speaker 2: email at thewoodyshow.com.
- 1:40:41Speaker 3: And Godspeed, Gringos. Going over there.
- 1:40:44Speaker 2: I'm just thinking, like, man, that poor kid that came
- 1:40:46Speaker 2: over to your house, and he really liked the Dodgers.
- 1:40:50Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 1:40:50Speaker 2: And this kid is sitting there. He is, like, crapping
- 1:40:53Speaker 2: his pants.
- 1:40:54Speaker 6: Oh!
- 1:40:54Speaker 2: The game's on, Tim's daughter's sitting there with her boyfriend,
- 1:40:58Speaker 2: Tim's on the couch, mean-mug it, I'm sure, watching the
- 1:41:01Speaker 2: Dodgers game, and the daughter's trying to make the conversation like, oh, dad,
- 1:41:06Speaker 2: you know that he likes the Dodgers? He goes, yeah.
- 1:41:08Speaker 1: Cool.
- 1:41:08Speaker 2: Yeah, just like that. Just like that.
- 1:41:13Speaker 7: That's what I'm saying, the silence treatment.
- 1:41:15Speaker 2: This kid is so nervous, and then at one point
- 1:41:17Speaker 2: he goes, well, why don't you come over and watch
- 1:41:19Speaker 2: the game sometime?
- 1:41:20Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:41:20Speaker 3: Almost like a dare.
- 1:41:21Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:41:21Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 1:41:22Speaker 7: He hasn't come over yet.
- 1:41:23Speaker 2: Smart guy. I mean, if you're going to come watch
- 1:41:27Speaker 2: a game. But he's been around a while. Same guy?
- 1:41:29Speaker 7: Same guy.
- 1:41:29Speaker 3: Same guy. Been around a while.
- 1:41:31Speaker 16: And again, he is the nicest, most respectful kid. So
- 1:41:36Speaker 16: I got nothing. You know what I'm saying?
- 1:41:38Speaker 2: Yeah, you can't kill him.
- 1:41:39Speaker 7: Other than the fact that you're dating my daughter. I mean,
- 1:41:40Speaker 7: it is what it is.
- 1:41:44Speaker 2: Meanwhile, his son brings home some chick and he's high-fiving her.
- 1:41:47Speaker 7: Big hugs. What's up, girl? Let's go to dinner.
- 1:41:52Speaker 2: Here, sit in my seat and watch the girl. We
- 1:42:00Speaker 2: were just doing a little throwback conversation yesterday, Tim, about...
- 1:42:03Speaker 2: Remember we did that.
- 1:42:04Speaker 3: First summer camp on the pier?
- 1:42:06Speaker 6: Oh, yeah.
- 1:42:07Speaker 3: Alt summer camp. Oh, my God.
- 1:42:09Speaker 7: That was such a long time ago.
- 1:42:10Speaker 3: That was a cool setup.
- 1:42:11Speaker 2: It was great.
- 1:42:12Speaker 3: It was so fun.
- 1:42:13Speaker 2: Then we were talking about how.
- 1:42:14Speaker 3: We moved it down to.
- 1:42:15Speaker 2: Long Beach. Dumpy Rust Boat.
- 1:42:17Speaker 3: Yeah. That little park.
- 1:42:20Speaker 7: I liked it. I liked it either.
- 1:42:21Speaker 3: The park next to it. The park, yeah.
- 1:42:23Speaker 2: Dumpy Rust Boat.
- 1:42:24Speaker 7: Yeah, that ruled.
- 1:42:25Speaker 3: Yeah. We gotta bring that back. We were reminiscing. Yeah.
- 1:42:29Speaker 6: And.
- 1:42:29Speaker 2: We all loved it.
- 1:42:30Speaker 3: Yeah, it was great.
- 1:42:31Speaker 2: Yeah, Mena said that he likes that better than Alter Ego.
- 1:42:34Speaker 7: Alter Ego, 100%. Summer camp?
- 1:42:37Speaker 3: The lineups are better for Alter Ego.
- 1:42:39Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 1:42:39Speaker 6: Lineups.
- 1:42:40Speaker 2: The setup and vibe is better for Summer Camp.
- 1:42:44Speaker 3: Look, if we're being honest, which we always are around here.
- 1:42:47Speaker 7: Alter Ego lineup crushes, but Summer Camp was way cool.
- 1:42:50Speaker 2: Yeah, for sure.
- 1:42:51Speaker 3: All right.
- 1:42:52Speaker 2: Well, we have here on this Throwback Thursday, DJ Tim Martinez.
- 1:42:55Speaker 2: Back in the day, he was a club DJ. He
- 1:42:57Speaker 2: was spinning all these songs. Although, it depends on how
- 1:43:01Speaker 2: far back we go. When did your DJing start? Were
- 1:43:03Speaker 2: you in high school?
- 1:43:04Speaker 16: Okay, so I bought my first set of turntables when
- 1:43:07Speaker 16: I graduated from eighth grade.
- 1:43:09Speaker 7: It took all my money.
- 1:43:10Speaker 15: Oh, my God.
- 1:43:11Speaker 7: It took all the money that I.
- 1:43:11Speaker 16: Got from my eighth grade graduation, and I bought my
- 1:43:14Speaker 16: first set of turntables.
- 1:43:15Speaker 7: Which was when?
- 1:43:15Speaker 3: Pacoima Junior High.
- 1:43:17Speaker 6: 1990.
- 1:43:18Speaker 7: Nope.
- 1:43:20Speaker 6: 89.
- 1:43:20Speaker 3: Nice. Damn. By the way, 89 was a great year
- 1:43:24Speaker 3: for music.
- 1:43:24Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:43:25Speaker 3: It's one of my favorites. 1989 specifically.
- 1:43:27Speaker 6: Anyway.
- 1:43:28Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:43:28Speaker 7: So 89 bought my first set.
- 1:43:30Speaker 21: And then I probably got really active about 92.
- 1:43:36Speaker 2: Another great year.
- 1:43:37Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:43:37Speaker 2: It was.
- 1:43:38Speaker 3: Seriously. 92 specifically. Another great year. What was your favorite?
- 1:43:41Speaker 2: Do you remember? What was your first paid DJ gig?
- 1:43:46Speaker 3: Where was it?
- 1:43:48Speaker 16: I'm going to say it was, I don't remember the
- 1:43:51Speaker 16: high school, but for sure it was a high school dance,
- 1:43:54Speaker 16: like a homecoming.
- 1:43:55Speaker 2: Oh, wow.
- 1:43:56Speaker 7: I remember me and my partner.
- 1:43:57Speaker 3: Like in the Valley? Yeah. Okay.
- 1:43:59Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:43:59Speaker 3: I would say how'd they find out about you?
- 1:44:01Speaker 7: Because he was old. My partner was older than me.
- 1:44:04Speaker 21: And so he had to connect with somebody from high
- 1:44:07Speaker 21: school and they're like, oh, my buddy DJs. And then
- 1:44:09Speaker 21: he comes to me and goes, hey, you ready to
- 1:44:11Speaker 21: DJ a high school dance? I'm like, I don't even
- 1:44:16Speaker 21: know if I'm ready, but you were in high school.
- 1:44:20Speaker 3: I was in high school.
- 1:44:21Speaker 2: We got the DJ stuff after eighth grade. You had
- 1:44:23Speaker 2: to still be in high school by now.
- 1:44:25Speaker 22: So I remember it was, and we spent, we took,
- 1:44:29Speaker 22: we took that tip cup.
- 1:44:30Speaker 7: We probably made like, I don't know, probably $ 500.
- 1:44:33Speaker 2: Wow.
- 1:44:35Speaker 3: Well, we had to split it.
- 1:44:36Speaker 6: Still.
- 1:44:36Speaker 2: That's a lot, dude. 250 bucks.
- 1:44:38Speaker 1: I know.
- 1:44:39Speaker 2: I know. In the eighties.
- 1:44:40Speaker 3: I know.
- 1:44:42Speaker 7: Nineties.
- 1:44:43Speaker 3: Nineties.
- 1:44:44Speaker 20: Yeah.
- 1:44:45Speaker 3: It was 91 by this point.
- 1:44:46Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:44:46Speaker 10: I mean, did you end up doing like bat mitzvahs
- 1:44:48Speaker 10: and quinceaneras?
- 1:44:49Speaker 3: I've done it all. I've done it all. Are you
- 1:44:51Speaker 3: playing like joy and pain?
- 1:44:53Speaker 2: Oh, stuff like that.
- 1:44:53Speaker 7: Joy and the Pain, MC Hammer. MC Hammer was huge.
- 1:44:56Speaker 1: Got it.
- 1:44:57Speaker 3: In 92, I think I was making about 500 a month.
- 1:45:00Speaker 2: Literally.
- 1:45:01Speaker 3: All the kids who were doing The Running Man.
- 1:45:03Speaker 1: Oh, sure.
- 1:45:04Speaker 2: And The Roger Rabbit.
- 1:45:04Speaker 7: Roger Rabbit.
- 1:45:05Speaker 6: What? Yeah. What is that?
- 1:45:08Speaker 2: What, Sammy?
- 1:45:09Speaker 7: Oh, my God.
- 1:45:10Speaker 2: Sammy, take the fat out of your ears. Sammy, you
- 1:45:12Speaker 2: sound silly.
- 1:45:13Speaker 7: This is where Sammy pretends to be young.
- 1:45:16Speaker 2: Come on.
- 1:45:18Speaker 3: Yeah, old fat Sammy.
- 1:45:19Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:45:21Speaker 16: I mean, those dances were hot back then. The Smurf,
- 1:45:25Speaker 16: all of those.
- 1:45:26Speaker 2: Well, we put them in charge of picking our Up
- 1:45:28Speaker 2: in the Club song each week here on this Throwback Thursday.
- 1:45:30Speaker 2: What are you going with this week, Tim?
- 1:45:32Speaker 7: We are going 1985.
- 1:45:33Speaker 22: Oh, so even before your DJ.
- 1:45:38Speaker 16: But I just came off of going to this Freestyle
- 1:45:41Speaker 16: concert last weekend, and I was like.
- 1:45:42Speaker 2: I got to go back to Freestyle.
- 1:45:43Speaker 7: Where was that? That was in downtown L.A.
- 1:45:46Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:45:46Speaker 7: It was free. Persian Square.
- 1:45:48Speaker 2: I thought the lineup for, you know, for what the
- 1:45:50Speaker 2: lineup was, for it to be a free show.
- 1:45:52Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:45:53Speaker 3: It was like Lisa Lisa.
- 1:45:55Speaker 7: Debbie Dab, Timmy T, Raquel.
- 1:45:58Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:45:59Speaker 5: Johnny O.
- 1:45:59Speaker 16: I saw Johnny O. Nice and wild. And, oh, Gucci Crew,
- 1:46:06Speaker 16: which we just played Sally like three weeks ago.
- 1:46:10Speaker 19: Yeah.
- 1:46:10Speaker 3: So there you go. Dude, Tim was in his element.
- 1:46:12Speaker 2: I was totally in his element.
- 1:46:12Speaker 3: He was sending me texts. He was feeling it so hard.
- 1:46:16Speaker 7: So we're going back to 1985. We're doing Funky Little Beat.
- 1:46:19Speaker 3: Connie.
- 1:46:20Speaker 2: All right, here we go.
- 1:46:20Speaker 3: Up in the Clare.
- 1:46:21Speaker 2: The Woody Show. Throwback Thursday.
- 1:46:22Speaker 11: What?
- 1:46:24Speaker 3: Up in the Clare.
- 1:46:25Speaker 2: Throwback Thursday. Up in the Clare with DJ Tim Martinez.
- 1:46:29Speaker 8: Yes.
- 1:46:29Speaker 2: You know what it was funny about? Some of that
- 1:46:31Speaker 2: freestyle stuff, especially that song right there. It sounds like,
- 1:46:34Speaker 2: remember at the theme parks where they would have those.
- 1:46:36Speaker 3: Booths you could make your own music video?
- 1:46:38Speaker 2: Oh, totally.
- 1:46:39Speaker 10: With the bad green screen?
- 1:46:41Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:46:46Speaker 3: I'm never going to get that out of my head.
- 1:46:48Speaker 2: I'm saying like the production quality of that stuff compared
- 1:46:51Speaker 2: to all the other stuff of that time. There was a,
- 1:46:55Speaker 2: like you can hear it, which is part of what
- 1:46:57Speaker 2: made it what it was.
- 1:46:58Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:46:59Speaker 2: There was that, there was like a signature sound. There
- 1:47:01Speaker 2: was a charm to it. I'm saying like people talk
- 1:47:03Speaker 2: about like how they can hear the difference, like the
- 1:47:05Speaker 2: warmth of vinyl. compared to a song played off of
- 1:47:09Speaker 2: Compact Disc. Right, for sure.
- 1:47:11Speaker 3: Same idea, right? Yeah, Connie, funky little beat. So good.
- 1:47:15Speaker 7: That's for all the homies out there, man.
- 1:47:16Speaker 3: Shout out to all the homies.
- 1:47:19Speaker 7: They're bumping that for sure.
- 1:47:20Speaker 2: DJ Tim Martinez, everybody. Yeah! All right, buddy, thank you.
- 1:47:25Speaker 3: Okay, bye.
- 1:47:26Speaker 7: And now, back to the Woody Show.
- 1:47:31Speaker 3: I'm going to file this under.
- 1:47:32Speaker 2: Get the F out of here, man. Get the f * * *
- 1:47:34Speaker 2: out of here.
- 1:47:35Speaker 1: So.
- 1:47:37Speaker 2: If you send a text, right, and that just becomes
- 1:47:40Speaker 2: at some point too much work, AI can now handle
- 1:47:42Speaker 2: that for you. ChatGPT has a new iMessage integration that
- 1:47:47Speaker 2: allows you to connect your messages and use AI to sort, analyze, edit,
- 1:47:52Speaker 2: and write your text for you.
- 1:47:55Speaker 3: Of course, you know.
- 1:47:57Speaker 2: People are worried about privacy all the time, but they
- 1:47:59Speaker 2: got no problem just like opening up all your text
- 1:48:01Speaker 2: messages and everything else to AI. It's fine.
- 1:48:04Speaker 7: It'll never do anything.
- 1:48:06Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:48:06Speaker 7: That thing with Claude, they were having like Claude Bot.
- 1:48:09Speaker 7: Claude is another AI program, and it fully just like
- 1:48:12Speaker 7: runs your computer and does pretty much anything for you.
- 1:48:16Speaker 2: So when somebody actually asks you a question as a follow-up,
- 1:48:18Speaker 2: like you send me a text this thing just write
- 1:48:21Speaker 2: something back or whatever and I see you later and
- 1:48:23Speaker 2: you go oh hey man I'm like.
- 1:48:24Speaker 7: In love that text yeah yeah yeah yeah you're supposed
- 1:48:28Speaker 7: to go back and read it but it goes it
- 1:48:30Speaker 7: gets to the point where that's that dead internet theory
- 1:48:33Speaker 7: where the AIs are just gonna be talking to each other.
- 1:48:37Speaker 2: Um, like if you're one of those people who can't
- 1:48:38Speaker 2: figure out what to say back, you're trying to think
- 1:48:40Speaker 2: of a good zinger. You know, you could still put
- 1:48:42Speaker 2: that kind of stuff into AI and then just send
- 1:48:44Speaker 2: it yourself. But I don't know why anybody would, everybody's
- 1:48:46Speaker 2: so with flock cameras and all that conversation that goes
- 1:48:50Speaker 2: on all the time. People are worried about privacy, but
- 1:48:52Speaker 2: at the same time. Absolutely not seem to be worried.
- 1:48:55Speaker 2: They don't seem to be worried at all.
- 1:48:56Speaker 10: I think we have this false sense of security when
- 1:48:58Speaker 10: it's our little phone. Like, it's in my pocket. Who
- 1:49:01Speaker 10: could possibly know what I'm saying?
- 1:49:02Speaker 3: No, it turned it all over to AI.
- 1:49:04Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 1:49:04Speaker 7: You're getting full access. It's convenience over privacy.
- 1:49:07Speaker 2: Now, Menace, you said that you have conversations with the
- 1:49:10Speaker 2: AI on the way in the work.
- 1:49:11Speaker 7: Every day, yeah.
- 1:49:12Speaker 3: Like a full-on conversation. Like, so, I mean, is it
- 1:49:15Speaker 3: just for news kind of stuff?
- 1:49:16Speaker 2: Or are you asking, like, other things? So does it have, like,
- 1:49:18Speaker 2: a whole file on you or...? Like how do you
- 1:49:21Speaker 2: control like privacy settings on, on that? Are you done
- 1:49:25Speaker 2: asking about stuff like that? No, I'm just asking it
- 1:49:27Speaker 2: news questions. I go, what is the top news stories
- 1:49:30Speaker 2: within the past 24 hours? And then it will read
- 1:49:32Speaker 2: me the headlines. And then I'll ask like, The ones
- 1:49:35Speaker 2: I'm interested in, I'll ask for.
- 1:49:36Speaker 7: Like a deeper dive.
- 1:49:37Speaker 3: Tell me more about that.
- 1:49:38Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:49:39Speaker 7: And then I'll explain it to me.
- 1:49:40Speaker 3: Do you ever insert pleasantries? Like, how are you doing today?
- 1:49:43Speaker 2: Good morrow, Claude.
- 1:49:44Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:49:45Speaker 7: Dude, I'm starting to.
- 1:49:46Speaker 3: Are you?
- 1:49:47Speaker 6: Nice.
- 1:49:47Speaker 7: Yeah. Like, hey, what's up?
- 1:49:49Speaker 3: And it's like, hey, what's up?
- 1:49:50Speaker 5: I don't mind that.
- 1:49:51Speaker 3: I don't mind that.
- 1:49:52Speaker 2: Another from the get the F out of here files.
- 1:49:54Speaker 5: Get the F out of here.
- 1:49:55Speaker 2: You know, I'm not the most gentle when it comes
- 1:49:57Speaker 2: to how we should be treating criminals who inconvenience us
- 1:50:00Speaker 2: and cause all this havoc on society. But this guy
- 1:50:04Speaker 2: in Australia, he is a member of an outlaw motorcycle gang.
- 1:50:08Speaker 7: Cool.
- 1:50:08Speaker 2: And because of his record of bad behavior, he is
- 1:50:11Speaker 2: banned from using firearms.
- 1:50:13Speaker 1: Oh, I know.
- 1:50:14Speaker 2: Well, he was at a carnival. And he was playing
- 1:50:17Speaker 2: a game where you shoot plastic ducks with an air
- 1:50:19Speaker 2: rifle to win prizes. And he was doing this with
- 1:50:22Speaker 2: his five-year-old daughter, trying to win her a prize. And
- 1:50:25Speaker 2: they arrested him because of that. Oh, come on. Police
- 1:50:27Speaker 2: say even though it was just a carnival game, the
- 1:50:29Speaker 2: air rifle still counts under his firearms. He's not allowed
- 1:50:34Speaker 2: to have.
- 1:50:36Speaker 2: Firearms are used... Come on, man. That doesn't count. Does
- 1:50:40Speaker 2: context mean nothing?
- 1:50:41Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 1:50:42Speaker 12: Dude, when you talk about Australia, Europe, Canada, when it
- 1:50:45Speaker 12: comes to firearms, they are mega pussies.
- 1:50:47Speaker 2: Yeah, but you're at a... Well, they might even have
- 1:50:49Speaker 2: it at the carnival.
- 1:50:50Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:50:50Speaker 13: Yeah, and he picked the game he was going to
- 1:50:51Speaker 13: be good at.
- 1:50:52Speaker 2: Yeah, right. So he was charged with violating the order
- 1:50:56Speaker 2: and being somewhere he legally wasn't allowed to be, a
- 1:50:59Speaker 2: shooting gallery.
- 1:51:00Speaker 3: Sorry, Mike.
- 1:51:01Speaker 7: Can't wait, eh?
- 1:51:02Speaker 2: It's a carnival game.
- 1:51:03Speaker 7: You know the ruse.
- 1:51:04Speaker 2: And now he can face some serious prison time over that.
- 1:51:07Speaker 6: Jeez.
- 1:51:08Speaker 3: That sucks.
- 1:51:08Speaker 2: Get the f * * * out of here.
- 1:51:09Speaker 3: Yeah. He's at a carnival with his dog. It doesn't
- 1:51:12Speaker 3: get much more wholesome than that.
- 1:51:13Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:51:14Speaker 2: The only way it could have been more wholesome if
- 1:51:15Speaker 2: it was the game where you had to fish little
- 1:51:17Speaker 2: ducks out of that river that goes in a circle.
- 1:51:19Speaker 2: With the long net?
- 1:51:20Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:51:20Speaker 3: You probably didn't give it a second thought.
- 1:51:23Speaker 7: Hit the hammer and then the frog goes flying.
- 1:51:26Speaker 2: Abuela wouldn't approve.

- 1:52:06Speaker 2: All right, Greg Gorey, parting words of wisdom, please.
- 1:52:08Speaker 3: Yeah, more like food for thought. Every expert was once
- 1:52:12Speaker 3: confidently wrong.
- 1:52:13Speaker 2: Ooh, I like that.
- 1:52:15Speaker 1: Weird.
- 1:52:17Speaker 2: Every expert was confidently wrong.
- 1:52:19Speaker 3: Was once confidently wrong.
- 1:52:20Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, because they didn't know enough yet, right?
- 1:52:22Speaker 7: Is that the idea?
- 1:52:22Speaker 2: Now they're experts in whatever they do. Yeah, there's that
- 1:52:26Speaker 2: whole line of thinking when it comes to, like, don't
- 1:52:28Speaker 2: be afraid of failure because all the people that you
- 1:52:30Speaker 2: see who are super successful or who are experts on
- 1:52:33Speaker 2: something now, they've failed so much.
- 1:52:35Speaker 19: Oh, yeah.
- 1:52:36Speaker 7: A zillion times.
- 1:52:36Speaker 2: You look at the best baseball player, the best whatever, like,
- 1:52:40Speaker 2: and how many times, like, that baseball player who's the
- 1:52:42Speaker 2: best hitter of all time has a plate struck out or,
- 1:52:44Speaker 2: you know, grounded out or whatever compared to how many
- 1:52:48Speaker 2: actual home runs they hit or, you know, whatever the
- 1:52:50Speaker 2: stat you're looking at. It's pretty crazy. And you go, eh,
- 1:52:53Speaker 2: I guess you have a point there. It doesn't keep
- 1:52:55Speaker 2: you from feeling like a loser.
- 1:52:56Speaker 3: At the moment.
- 1:52:56Speaker 2: At the moment, at least, but yeah. All right, thank
- 1:52:59Speaker 2: you very much, Greg Gorey. Thank you so much for
- 1:53:01Speaker 2: giving the Woody Show some of your valuable time this morning.
- 1:53:04Speaker 2: You know we love and appreciate you for that. The
- 1:53:07Speaker 2: rest of you guys can suck it. We'll catch you
- 1:53:08Speaker 2: back here on Friday. Have a great day. SMD double M.
- 1:53:11Speaker 2: I quit this bitch.
