- 1:14back to the show.
- 1:16All right, guys, let's kick this off.
- 1:17All right.
- 1:17So this is Inspirations for Your Life.
- 1:19It's series five, show 11, and it's episode
- 1:22number four.
- 1:25It's all about the master topic, owning your
- 1:28power, intentional choices, and daily momentum.
- 1:30So today, Tuesday, we're talking about focus, prioritization,
- 1:37and decision clarity.
- 1:38Who am I?
- 1:39Sure.
- 1:39I'm John C.
- 1:40Morley, serial entrepreneur, engineer, marketing specialist, video producer,
- 1:44podcast host, coach, keynote speaker, graduate student, passionate
- 1:49lifelong learner, and pretty soon, a published author.
- 1:54So really excited about that.
- 1:55So today, I'm diving into focus, prioritization, and
- 2:01decision clarity.
- 2:02How to take control of your energy, eliminate
- 2:05distractions, and convert daily effort into unstoppable forward
- 2:09momentum.
- 2:09Every point here is to get you to
- 2:13sharpen your mind, strengthen your habits, and maximize
- 2:16the results, all right?
- 2:18Number one, focus directs energy to key tasks.
- 2:22So what we focus on, we bring about.
- 2:25Focus is like a laser beam.
- 2:28It concentrates your effort on what actually moves
- 2:32the needle, what's going to get you to
- 2:34the next point in your life.
- 2:36Avoid splitting attention.
- 2:37Energy invested in the right place compounds faster
- 2:41than scattered effort.
- 2:43And I think that's something a lot of
- 2:44people don't realize, but it's the truth.
- 2:49This tea is really good.
- 2:50It's very hot.
- 2:51Number two, prioritization maximizes impact.
- 2:55Not all tasks are equal.
- 2:56Prioritizing high leverage actions ensure you're making decisions
- 3:01that lead to meaningful progress.
- 3:04So the whole goal is not to get
- 3:06yourself frustrated, but I get how that can
- 3:07happen, where you're wanting it to be tomorrow,
- 3:11but tomorrow doesn't seem to be coming quick
- 3:14enough for you, right?
- 3:15So that happens.
- 3:17Number three.
- 3:18Number three is clarifying, simplifies tough decisions.
- 3:22When we get clarity, we take things that
- 3:24are complicated and we make them easier.
- 3:26When you clearly know what matters, the choices
- 3:30become easier for you.
- 3:32Clarity reduces hesitation and eliminates unnecessary stress.
- 3:39Avoid mental clutter, guys.
- 3:40Number four.
- 3:41Avoid mental clutter.
- 3:43Because mental clutter sort of accumulates when we're
- 3:48not paying attention and then we never take
- 3:50out the trash, right?
- 3:51So distractions, overthinking, and unnecessary tasks cloud our
- 3:55judgment.
- 3:56And sometimes it gets so clouded, we don't
- 3:58even realize that it is clouded, it's just
- 4:00that we get frustrated.
- 4:02So clear your mind to see the path
- 4:04forward.
- 4:05Do some breathing exercises like we talked about.
- 4:07We have the four, two, six.
- 4:09Inhale for four, hold for two.
- 4:10Exhale for six.
- 4:11Do that a couple times.
- 4:13And so take a walk.
- 4:15Be mindful of things around you.
- 4:17Notice things.
- 4:18Number five.
- 4:19Attention management amplifies the results.
- 4:22Yes, it does, guys.
- 4:23Managing where your attention goes is a superpower.
- 4:27Yeah.
- 4:28Decide intentionally what you consume, read, and respond
- 4:32to.
- 4:33And I think those are important things that
- 4:34a lot of people just don't realize that
- 4:36we have to respond to those things.
- 4:38So number six, guys.
- 4:40Single task focus improves execution.
- 4:43I know people talk about multitasking and it's
- 4:45so great, but it's actually not great.
- 4:47It actually causes you to be stripped and
- 4:50you're like all over the place and you're
- 4:51not really giving one thing true vision, if
- 4:58you will.
- 4:59So multitasking reduces efficiency.
- 5:02If you didn't know that, people that do
- 5:03chatting all the time online, like you work
- 5:05for a company and they want you to
- 5:06chat with four or five windows, that's like
- 5:08nonsense, okay?
- 5:09So commit to one task at one time
- 5:12to finish faster and with high quality.
- 5:14Even though I have lots of things on
- 5:15my agenda to do, I focus on one
- 5:18task.
- 5:18I have the other things to do, but
- 5:20I take one task at a time, I
- 5:22finish that task, and I move on to
- 5:23the next task.
- 5:24Number seven, guys.
- 5:26Prioritize action compounds success.
- 5:29So when we prioritize what's important to us
- 5:33in our life, that makes a real difference
- 5:38for us and we can see the needle
- 5:40move, but we also can get happy with
- 5:42how we're seeing the changes.
- 5:45So number seven, prioritize action compounds success daily.
- 5:49Daily prioritize steps, build momentum.
- 5:52Small actions consistently executed, generate exponential results over
- 5:57time, over time.
- 6:00So number eight, guys.
- 6:01Clarity reduces hesitation.
- 6:03Yep, it does.
- 6:05When we get clear, we don't have that
- 6:07fog.
- 6:08We don't have that haze.
- 6:09When you know your objectives, second-guessing disappears
- 6:13and you move faster decisively and with confidence.
- 6:18You don't feel like you're stuck in the
- 6:19weeds or you're in the clouds and not
- 6:22realizing what's going on.
- 6:23So number nine, guys, is focus.
- 6:26Focus strengthens discipline.
- 6:28I know sometimes you're like, John, I can't
- 6:32focus.
- 6:33I'm so tired.
- 6:33I'm so this.
- 6:34Well, focus what you have to focus on
- 6:37and then you can take that rest or
- 6:39take that rest you need, but realize everything
- 6:43in life is truly about focus.
- 6:46It is about focus.
- 6:48And if we can understand focus, then the
- 6:51rest of our life seems to become, well,
- 6:54becomes a lot easier for us.
- 6:56And the tasks that we're doing sort of
- 7:00just happen.
- 7:02I don't want to say they happen by
- 7:03themselves, but they happen with a lot less
- 7:05effort on us.
- 7:06And I think that's a really important thing
- 7:09to understand is they happen with that concept
- 7:13that we just, they just sort of flow
- 7:16in our lives, right?
- 7:17I think that's an important thing that a
- 7:19lot of people, like they just don't get
- 7:21what, why that happens.
- 7:23And so when we focus, we are not
- 7:26distracted, okay?
- 7:29We don't have to keep re-listening, re
- 7:32-seeing, or re-pay attention to something because
- 7:37we're noticing it the first time, right?
- 7:40If somebody's talking to you and you're not
- 7:42paying attention, you have to get them to
- 7:44repeat themselves, or you have to get someone
- 7:46else to repeat what they said, right?
- 7:48Maybe you're in a class, maybe in school,
- 7:50and maybe you're not paying attention.
- 7:51When you're not paying attention, well, you got
- 7:54to have somebody repeat that, right?
- 7:58Discipline isn't about punishment, guys.
- 8:00It's about building the habit of returning to
- 8:04your priorities, even when it's hard.
- 8:06I know that priorities sometimes seem hard.
- 8:10I know they don't always seem like there's
- 8:13a rainbow there, okay?
- 8:14Because let's face it, sometimes challenges can be
- 8:19a little grueling, but the rewards from that
- 8:23are amazing.
- 8:25Number 10, guys, daily alignment with your goals
- 8:28accelerates progress.
- 8:32Every morning, review what truly matters.
- 8:36Aligning your day to your top goals ensures
- 8:39cumulative advancement, all right?
- 8:42But you have to check in on yourself.
- 8:44You have to do that.
- 8:46Number 11, guys, prioritization prevents wasted effort.
- 8:50Focusing on low task leads to exhaustion.
- 8:55Prioritize to save energy and increase output, yeah.
- 9:00So we focus, we use less energy, and
- 9:03we get more done.
- 9:04We're more efficient.
- 9:06We're less tired.
- 9:09Number 12, guys, clear objectives guide our behavior.
- 9:14Set measurable targets.
- 9:15Clarity in what you aim for directs all
- 9:18your actions and your choices.
- 9:21Number 13, avoid reactive decisions.
- 9:26We've talked about this before with the fire
- 9:28and other things.
- 9:29When we are reactive, we sometimes make the
- 9:31wrong decision, and we unfortunately burn more energy
- 9:34than we need to, and we also have
- 9:37to start all over again.
- 9:38So reaction leads to errors and wasted energy.
- 9:41Pause, reflect, and respond intentionally.
- 9:45Or what I like to say is pause
- 9:46and respond because you're proactive, not because you're
- 9:51reactive.
- 9:53Number 14, guys, number 14, mental clarity improves
- 9:58judgment.
- 9:59It improves judgment.
- 10:01So our mental clarity gets us to be
- 10:04on page with what we're trying to work
- 10:07on.
- 10:08Calm, focused thinking produces better decisions than frantic
- 10:12multitasking.
- 10:13I know multitasking sounds like, you know, the
- 10:15be-all, end-all, and the bee's knees.
- 10:17But the truth of the matter is it
- 10:18wastes so much of your energy.
- 10:22So much.
- 10:23And then you're like saying, oh my gosh,
- 10:24like, how am I even going to start?
- 10:26Where am I going to end?
- 10:27Or, you know, what am I going to
- 10:28work on?
- 10:30It gets so daunting.
- 10:35Number 15, focus, guys, enhances creativity.
- 10:41When your mind is directed and it's undistracted,
- 10:45creative solutions emerge naturally.
- 10:49Number 16, prioritization ensures meaningful output.
- 10:54Meaningful output when we prioritize.
- 10:59Consciously choose tasks that contribute to your results.
- 11:03Work for effect, not business.
- 11:06I know a lot of people in life,
- 11:08guys, that they say they're busy.
- 11:09And they put a lot of effort into
- 11:14making people think that they are just so
- 11:16busy.
- 11:17Because busy means success.
- 11:19Wrong.
- 11:20That is a misnomer.
- 11:22Being busy does not mean success.
- 11:24Busy means that you're busy.
- 11:27But if you're not doing the right actions,
- 11:29if you're not aligned with what's going to
- 11:31help move the needle, what good is being
- 11:33busy?
- 11:35I'll give you an example.
- 11:36I remember around the COVID time, which, remember,
- 11:39was not too long ago, a few years
- 11:40ago.
- 11:41I remember at that time using an automated
- 11:44calendar.
- 11:45OK, starting to use an automated calendar.
- 11:46I have one now, but I started using
- 11:48it.
- 11:48And I had been online with this one
- 11:52networking group.
- 11:52I'm not going to mention the name.
- 11:53But anyway, this group was something that was
- 11:57supposed to be very helpful.
- 11:59OK?
- 12:01And I will tell you that this group
- 12:04didn't do anything for me.
- 12:07And the person who ran the group was
- 12:10OK.
- 12:11But he was the only one making any
- 12:13money off of this group.
- 12:16Even though a lot of what he did
- 12:17was for free, there were still parts of
- 12:20it.
- 12:20He was trying to charge people and pay
- 12:23for a premium and get exposure and stuff.
- 12:26And then they tried to set people up
- 12:28with these, like, I don't know, let's say
- 12:31these 30-minute calls.
- 12:35And you're supposed to take so much time
- 12:37for you and then so much time for
- 12:38them.
- 12:39And the problem with this was I set
- 12:42up this tie on my calendar.
- 12:44OK?
- 12:45And so it made it very easy for
- 12:47somebody to jump on my calendar and basically
- 12:49get scheduled for a Zoom call.
- 12:51But what I didn't realize in the beginning
- 12:52was I was opening up my calendar for
- 12:54hours and just letting anything.
- 12:56And I'm like, oh, wow, what happened to
- 12:57my week?
- 12:58What happened to my month?
- 12:59It got eaten up by all this, like,
- 13:01stupid nonsense, busy time.
- 13:03And that's when I realized that I have
- 13:05to work harder to make sure my schedule
- 13:08does not get filled with things that are
- 13:11not productive.
- 13:12So let's talk about this a minute.
- 13:14So what I typically do, unless it's something
- 13:18I want to meet with.
- 13:19So people who want to get on my
- 13:20calendar, even for podcasts, free chats, it's 15
- 13:22or 30 minutes.
- 13:23That's it.
- 13:24Nobody gets more than that.
- 13:25If they want more than that, they have
- 13:27to request it.
- 13:28And I have to see that it's duly
- 13:29necessary.
- 13:30And then I will pick one of the
- 13:32three times they pick.
- 13:33If not, I just basically, I reject that.
- 13:37And I tell people, you can only book
- 13:38a 15 or 30 minute chat with me.
- 13:40If you want to pay for my time,
- 13:42great.
- 13:42Then you can book more time.
- 13:45And so I realized that people were just
- 13:48getting on the phone and trying to set
- 13:50up.
- 13:50The thing is, the people I was connecting
- 13:52with, they were not in alignment with what
- 13:55I wanted and what I needed.
- 13:57Of course, during COVID, I mean, it was
- 13:59just, it was something to do, right?
- 14:00It was something busy.
- 14:01But this busyness didn't really help me.
- 14:04It just tired me out.
- 14:06And I'm like, gee, where did my day
- 14:07go?
- 14:08I'm busy, but I didn't get profitable from
- 14:11being busy, from getting my calendar filled up.
- 14:14So I said, I got to change that.
- 14:18Number 17, guys, clarity highlights critical steps.
- 14:23See what is essential.
- 14:25Identify the actions that actually create leverage in
- 14:29your life.
- 14:29And don't be afraid to audit your life
- 14:31because that's important.
- 14:35It's really important to understand that.
- 14:37And I know a lot of you are
- 14:38saying to me, hey, John, I don't get
- 14:41what you're talking about.
- 14:42All I know is I try to keep
- 14:44my life busy.
- 14:45And so keeping your life busy, if it's
- 14:48not aligned with things that are going to
- 14:49move your needle, that's going to help you
- 14:50be successful, guess what happens?
- 14:52You get frustrated.
- 14:54You're like, what happened all this time?
- 14:56What happened to everything I planned?
- 15:00Well, you just let people get on your
- 15:03calendar and you didn't put time in there
- 15:07for yourself.
- 15:07So then I realized that not only did
- 15:11I need to put time in there for
- 15:12myself, so that would be used, right, for
- 15:15myself, but also I need to make sure
- 15:17buffers were in there.
- 15:18So I timed to get my point to
- 15:19appointment if it was like not online, but
- 15:22also had to make sure that there was
- 15:23only so many half hour appointments in their
- 15:26week.
- 15:26It wasn't going to take away from what
- 15:28I needed to do during the week.
- 15:30I think that was a big eye opener
- 15:33for me, that going online and creating this
- 15:36automated calendar was great.
- 15:38But then I'm like, I'm meeting with 15
- 15:40people and I'm like, and all these people
- 15:42I'm meeting with, there is no direct alignment.
- 15:45They didn't need, want, or even have the
- 15:48money to afford my products or services.
- 15:52And I remember one person that I actually
- 15:55got business from, and it wasn't business that
- 15:59I got paid for.
- 16:01I actually donated time to help him create
- 16:05a marketing piece for his LinkedIn page.
- 16:08And I remember doing this, and I remember,
- 16:14unfortunately, he passed away, which I was really
- 16:16saddened about.
- 16:17He owned a water company, like he was
- 16:19one of these agents for a water, clean
- 16:22water company.
- 16:24And I remember just thinking about this and
- 16:26thinking about how a lot of these people
- 16:29on there, they just kind of, they push.
- 16:33I had another lady that she connected with
- 16:36me, and then she sent me a gift.
- 16:37And I said, thank you.
- 16:39She sent me the gift.
- 16:40What does she keep doing?
- 16:41She kept following up with me saying, oh,
- 16:43gee, how do you like this?
- 16:43How do you like that?
- 16:44It's one thing to send a gift, but
- 16:46then enough's enough, right?
- 16:47Don't keep following up with me every day.
- 16:49I mean, that's a real, real problem.
- 16:51I think a lot of people don't understand
- 16:53that message, and they don't get why it
- 16:56happens.
- 16:58They think that they're trying to be nice,
- 17:01but really what they're trying to do is
- 17:03they're trying to get you to drop your
- 17:05guard.
- 17:07And so I get people a lot of
- 17:09times sending me a message on our scheduling
- 17:12line.
- 17:13And the first thing I say, gee, I
- 17:15appreciate you reaching out.
- 17:18Are you looking to book a service call?
- 17:21Or did you have a question about our
- 17:23services or products?
- 17:25Oh, no, I just want to talk about
- 17:28tech.
- 17:29Well, sorry, we don't do that for free.
- 17:34And there's nothing wrong with saying that.
- 17:36I think a lot of people, when you
- 17:39tell them that, they get a little bit
- 17:42disillusioned.
- 17:42So what I say to them is, hey,
- 17:43look, what do you do for a living?
- 17:46Oh, you're an accountant, great.
- 17:47So do you work for free?
- 17:48Oh, no, no, no.
- 17:49Well, I don't either.
- 17:51And then when you parent like that, they
- 17:54suddenly are like, oh, like they just figured
- 17:58they were getting one over on you so
- 17:59they could just do whatever they want.
- 18:00And I think that's a problem for a
- 18:02lot of people.
- 18:03They don't realize what that's like until you
- 18:07frame it back into their own window.
- 18:10Number 18, guys, mindful focus prevents distractions.
- 18:14Notice when your attention drifts, bring it back
- 18:17to the task at hand immediately.
- 18:19Don't wait a half hour.
- 18:21Don't wait two hours, right?
- 18:22Do it immediately.
- 18:25And do it gracefully.
- 18:27So if you could bring it over, I
- 18:28mean, it's not abrupt.
- 18:29Oh, I'm off track.
- 18:30OK, let's just get back on track again.
- 18:32Let's get back on track.
- 18:33Oh, getting off.
- 18:33Let's get back on track.
- 18:35Number 19, attention sharpens strategy.
- 18:39OK, focus isn't just action, guys.
- 18:44It's intellectual insight.
- 18:47Paying attention to patterns and results informs better
- 18:51strategy.
- 18:55I've learned patterns are key, not just in
- 18:59technology, but even in our life.
- 19:00When we start to realize that patterns help
- 19:05us identify the steps we should take or
- 19:08not take because of something that's going on,
- 19:12this is what insurance companies do.
- 19:14They look for patterns to decide whether they're
- 19:16going to insure somebody or not insure somebody.
- 19:18I mean, that's pretty cool.
- 19:20So patterns are here to help us recognize
- 19:24something that we either want to move forward
- 19:27with or we don't.
- 19:30Number 20, guys, decision clarity builds confidence.
- 19:36So when we have clarity about our decisions,
- 19:40well, we suddenly have this instinct for confidence.
- 19:46That's pretty powerful, guys.
- 19:48That is extremely, extremely powerful.
- 19:50So clear, intentional decisions reduce doubt.
- 19:56Intentional decisions reduce doubt.
- 19:58And, guys, they reduce anxiety.
- 20:05When we get clear about what we want
- 20:06in life, our anxiety drops.
- 20:10Our frustration drops.
- 20:13And we keep looking and focusing on what
- 20:18we want.
- 20:19And the things that we want that were
- 20:22there before that didn't show up in our
- 20:23life weren't coming into our life because we
- 20:27weren't focused on them.
- 20:29Does that make sense?
- 20:30I hope it does.
- 20:30So when we focus on something, we put
- 20:33attention on it, it's like right there for
- 20:36the taking.
- 20:37But if we're always focusing on, oh, this
- 20:39isn't going right, I'm never going to get
- 20:41this way, this is a problem, well, then
- 20:44you're going to just keep getting more of
- 20:45that in your life.
- 20:46And a lot of people I talk to
- 20:48say, oh, John, you don't understand.
- 20:49No, I understand perfectly.
- 20:51I understand that you want to get to
- 20:54Z, but you're constantly making excuses for yourself.
- 20:59And then when somebody tries to tell you,
- 21:01you try to badmouth them.
- 21:04I'm just being honest, guys.
- 21:06Number 21, focused work increases momentum.
- 21:12Consistent, undistracted effort is the key to forward
- 21:17momentum.
- 21:21Momentum compounds over the days, the weeks, and
- 21:27the months.
- 21:28So that actually compounds over the microseconds, the
- 21:32seconds, the minutes, the hours, the
- 21:44quarter days, the half days, the full days,
- 21:48the 24 hours, the 48 hours, the 72
- 21:51hours, the whole weeks, the months, the quarters,
- 22:01the half years, and the full years.
- 22:07And so when we get serious about prioritizing
- 22:10what we want, something interesting happens.
- 22:15We get it.
- 22:17Now, in the beginning, we have some push
- 22:22and pull.
- 22:23Because we're like, oh, this isn't right, this
- 22:25isn't comfortable.
- 22:26Well, I said to you, success happens in
- 22:29the area that's uncomfortable.
- 22:31Didn't say painful, I said uncomfortable.
- 22:32So number 22, guys, is prioritization aligns actions
- 22:36with values.
- 22:36Every task should reflect your personal and your
- 22:39professional priorities.
- 22:41Avoid work that doesn't match your vision.
- 22:43Even if it's something other people told you
- 22:45to do, get out of it.
- 22:47Because if you don't like what you do,
- 22:49you're going to hate your job.
- 22:53Number 23, clarity strengthens long-term vision.
- 22:56Clarity is important, guys.
- 22:58Keep the big picture in mind.
- 23:00Clear understandings of your desired outcome direct the
- 23:05daily execution.
- 23:08Number 24, avoid non-essential commitments.
- 23:13Saying yes to everything fragments your energy.
- 23:17Protect your focus by declining low-value obligations.
- 23:21And you don't have to feel bad that
- 23:26you're choosing not to participate in them.
- 23:30Number 25, guys, focused execution multiplies results.
- 23:34So when we're focused, we're more efficient, okay?
- 23:41And we're like a laser beam.
- 23:44And if you don't know how a laser
- 23:44beam works, you pinpoint a laser beam, okay?
- 23:49Goes right where it is.
- 23:50I'm going to give you an example.
- 23:51There was a movie on, it was, I
- 23:54think it was Weird Science.
- 23:56I'm about to get the whole thing in
- 23:57the movie.
- 23:57So there was a movie about this Basie's
- 24:00kids there at a school.
- 24:01I think it was either Princeton or Yale.
- 24:05And well, one time they took the science
- 24:09experiment and they made their whole dorm floor
- 24:13frozen so people could like kind of skate
- 24:17on it.
- 24:18It was kind of weird.
- 24:19And then the professor that they were working
- 24:23with, let's just say he wasn't the most
- 24:26respectful person.
- 24:27He was all about money, but he wasn't
- 24:29respectful.
- 24:30So the students realized that they were getting
- 24:32abused by this professor.
- 24:35So what did they do?
- 24:36Very simple.
- 24:38They went to his house and they put
- 24:41a whole bunch of popcorn kernels in his
- 24:43house.
- 24:44They reprogrammed the trajectory of where this laser
- 24:49beam was going to, let's say, beam.
- 24:53And when it went to beam down, it
- 24:57beamed down right on his house.
- 25:00And within a matter of minutes, his whole
- 25:02house overflowed with popcorn.
- 25:08My point is, is they got that so
- 25:10precise that it caused the kernels to just,
- 25:18a laser beam is that precise.
- 25:23If we're that precise, we get results.
- 25:28Action, guys, is a multiplier of knowledge.
- 25:33Okay.
- 25:34Action is a multiplier of knowledge.
- 25:35So clarity without execution, it's just wasted potential.
- 25:40It's frustration.
- 25:42It's not going anywhere.
- 25:43In fact, if anything, it'll keep you stagnant
- 25:45or it'll get you to go backwards.
- 25:48Number 26, guys, routines maintain consistency.
- 25:54Some routines are good, but I don't tell
- 25:55your whole life should be a routine, right?
- 25:57But some routines are good.
- 25:58Like when you get up in the morning,
- 25:59things you do.
- 26:01Structure your day around key priorities.
- 26:04Routines reinforce habits and keep momentum alive in
- 26:07your life.
- 26:08Number 27, awareness of energy drains and it
- 26:13protects productivity.
- 26:16Recognize people, tasks, and habits that sap your
- 26:20energy.
- 26:21Now, they might not be obvious right away,
- 26:24but be aware of people that make you
- 26:27feel tired, that drain you, that whenever you're
- 26:31around them, you never have time to do
- 26:32what you want to do.
- 26:33Remove or mitigate them deliberately.
- 26:37You don't have to be nasty about it.
- 26:38Just remove them from your life.
- 26:41Number 28, guys, clarity directs daily habits.
- 26:44Decide in advance which actions are non-negotiable.
- 26:47Daily discipline builds compound advantage, like the compound
- 26:50interest we talked about in your bank account.
- 26:53Number 29, focused effort compounds achievement, like the
- 26:56money in your bank account.
- 26:57Small, consistent effort in the right direction accumulates
- 27:00into remarkable outcomes, but it doesn't happen the
- 27:05first time you do it.
- 27:07So we do it one time like, oh,
- 27:08it didn't happen.
- 27:10Right, you just did it the first time.
- 27:12There's usually a little bit of a learning
- 27:14curve, but the good news is once you
- 27:16start getting it, you want to keep working
- 27:20at it.
- 27:20That's how I am in my studies, like
- 27:22going over some things right now with addition
- 27:26and subtraction.
- 27:26I don't mean addition and subtraction the way
- 27:28we would normally do it, but addition and
- 27:30subtraction with hex and also binary numbers.
- 27:33And it's fun to do this, a lot
- 27:37of fun.
- 27:38And solving it is really a great sense
- 27:43of accomplishment that you get.
- 27:45Number 30, guys, prioritization plus clarity, P plus
- 27:48C, equals unstoppable efficiency.
- 27:50So P plus C, prioritization plus clarity equals
- 27:53unstoppable efficiency.
- 27:55Combine intentional choices with clear understanding and every
- 27:58day becomes a step toward mastery and influence.
