- 0:54Now, here are the host of The United, We scan podcast, Hey,
- 1:00welcome back everybody. We have a special edition today.
- 1:04We've got myself and James, and Josh, and Josh, you want to make
- 1:09the introductions of our special guests tonight.
- 1:12I surely, would we have a couple of gentlemen who who are fans of
- 1:17ours? And we are definitely fans of
- 1:20theirs as they said, once that their number one, brand told
- 1:23them that they are awesome at being awful, the extent to
- 1:27deliver some comic relief. Occasion.
- 1:30We have a monopolist and showing Vic and cheats joining us.
- 1:35This evening from the temperature will vary as thank
- 1:39you for having us. You are welcome.
- 1:42Well, I'm going to apologize in advance now, Damien because I
- 1:47don't have any material to fuck with you with.
- 1:54I got a couple things for you. Nice to meet you.
- 1:59Well I apologize or I don't want to say our hose because we all
- 2:07collab. Our are all an equal footing is
- 2:10what I'm told. Push hard person with all of the
- 2:14recording equipment president. Yeah.
- 2:18James, who is our newest addition to the family?
- 2:23I'm the one everybody hates online.
- 2:24So strong A teacher word real quick.
- 2:32Yeah, yes. Dad to Tori unfamiliar familiar
- 2:44with your name. There are not many professions
- 2:48that you can really get away with using your name.
- 2:52From what I heard your previous attempts of using your name in
- 2:58the proper professions. Cost you a lot of money in both
- 3:02refunds and 10% in restitution. It's a good thing, it's not by
- 3:11choice. I'm forced into it.
- 3:17Yeah, that's funny. But I actually considered going
- 3:20by just Shaundi when I first started comedy until Damien was
- 3:25like, your name is Dick and cheats like your name is a punch
- 3:27line. Like, why did you give that up?
- 3:34There's many times are going. Wow, the jokes I could come up
- 3:36with that name. Yeah.
- 3:41The only jokes I have about it or about how I don't have jokes
- 3:44about it because if I did they'd all be plagiarizing
- 3:47eight-year-olds, very you have one, you can use not a punch
- 3:55line, it's the punch line. We are fans of yours and I think
- 4:03you guys definitely do a service, like ours is not like
- 4:07we kind of use a postal theme but it's not a postal podcast
- 4:09per se and I will be of no help to anybody.
- 4:11But you guys, you know, provide a lot of good information and
- 4:16useful advice and we appreciate you jeopardizing that
- 4:21credibility by having us on. Thank you, thank you.
- 4:26And I appreciate you guys coming on because those pretty cool
- 4:29because I Started listening. I think you guys were an episode
- 4:33in the 20s and I had started from the beginning and so it's
- 4:38like about the. How'd you hear about us, just
- 4:40out of curiosity? I think I saw you post on.
- 4:43Maybe it was delivered me on the Facebook page.
- 4:46One of them are both low Maniacs.
- 4:48Okay. Yeah, I've posted in some of
- 4:50those like postal maniacs and postal meme.
- 4:54Meme page is pretty much. Yeah, it was one of those.
- 4:57I was like, oh, let me something else to listen to him.
- 4:59I'm out there and so I did it just like, binged it until I was
- 5:03caught up and then like, every Thursday like is it hot?
- 5:06Because, that's like, first thing appointment.
- 5:08I head out to the route, I hurt. I think I heard someone mention
- 5:16it before and then I think World info had actually posted
- 5:21something with a link to you, guys saying, you guys were
- 5:25really funny and I'm like, all right, let me check it out.
- 5:30Yeah, I told you about it. Josh, would you yesterday and
- 5:42heard about this yesterday? So I decided to start listening
- 5:48today and start at the beginning, and I'm working my
- 5:51way through it. So, awesome, but still
- 5:56interested. A little bit grown for our
- 6:01listeners Damien and Shawn are rural carriers and they decided
- 6:07to go into stand-up and their podcast.
- 6:11Basically attempted delivery is almost from when they first
- 6:15started and their journey through.
- 6:17Am I correct guys? Yeah.
- 6:19Yeah. We started recording some
- 6:21episodes. Like, as we were kind of giving
- 6:24each other the courage to do it. So the first cringe cringe, e
- 6:28episodes are us trying to Get the guts to do it.
- 6:31And then around four episode, five or six, we actually start.
- 6:35And then after that it's just kind of each week talking about
- 6:38how the mics went that week. And then a lot of whining about
- 6:42about bombing on stage, nowhere else to go on stage, just just
- 6:47on stage doing comedy. It's a figure of speech.
- 6:53If that doesn't work out, at least you guys have the podcast,
- 6:58true. Yeah it's definitely one.
- 7:05I like listening to it because sometimes you but you guys, I'm
- 7:08either going. Oh my gosh or I'm just kind of,
- 7:12you know, just that head shake. I roll really the lack of music
- 7:20or movie knowledge from Sean but so if we decided we want to talk
- 7:28about movies, You've actually have watched.
- 7:36I've watched, I've watched plenty of movies.
- 7:38I just apparently none of the classics.
- 7:42I've just have a lot of gaps because I've definitely seen
- 7:46movies. I used to what, you know, I've
- 7:48seen a lot of like and kind of a wide variety.
- 7:51I don't know. Like a lot of like a lot of
- 7:53chick flicks. A lot of like classic horror
- 7:56movies, a lot of like some action movies.
- 7:59Although I'm starting to look like, I'm trying to grow my hair
- 8:02out, and I'm starting to look like Keanu, Reeves and people
- 8:07keep calling me John Wick and I should probably see those so, I
- 8:10know. But yeah, I mean makes you seem
- 8:15but I haven't seen any yet. So I hear they're great, but I
- 8:30have seen The Matrix but it's been so long.
- 8:32I don't remember it about Bill and Ted.
- 8:35Oh yeah, yeah, I have seen now. Yeah, I have seen that but I
- 8:43again I can't remember it, but I think I've seen that.
- 8:45I think I was like ten when I saw that, if I'm wrong if I'm
- 8:49remembering correctly. But yeah, I have to revisit, I
- 8:52have a lot to revisit in your math skills are superb.
- 8:57I just want to say it's a try. Yeah.
- 9:02I was couple weeks ago when you guys were talking about with the
- 9:07with dates and you're right. That was like a thousand years
- 9:10ago I was standing outside and I started banging the back of my
- 9:14head on a brick wall so funny. Let's go to these like me funny
- 9:22unintentionally funny those when you're unintentional.
- 9:32Everybody laughs at the person that slips and Falls.
- 9:35Yeah, it's true. Yeah, I kind of did that this
- 9:39past winter. When the boyfriend took was
- 9:41walking out, the truck going morning and took up steps off
- 9:44the porch feet came out from underneath him and down he went
- 9:46and I'm like, who are you? Okay he you're still concerns
- 9:55but it's hilarious. That's exactly like one of those
- 9:58slow-motion. Comics, right?
- 10:00Yeah, I have seen. Those are you any of you guys
- 10:08like into stand-up at all? Like what Comics do you like to
- 10:11do? Are you into that all?
- 10:13I am. I'm not very Versed and don't
- 10:19watch it as often as I. Wait or listen to it as often as
- 10:22I would like to mmm. I know, John Mulaney dropped his
- 10:28special. Yeah, I got to check that out.
- 10:30Everyone's talking about that way this weekend.
- 10:33If it's his new material last year for the kids birthday, I
- 10:38took them in. Who are their friends to see
- 10:41him? It is all new material, nice.
- 10:44Right right? Yeah, can't wait to see that.
- 10:46I'm a big fan of John mulaney's, so that is definitely on our
- 10:51agenda for this weekend to watch, you know?
- 10:54Like I said, I don't have the time or the energy to watch at
- 10:59the stuff. I have in the DVR like let alone
- 11:01look up anything else, right? Yeah, and for Sirius XM.
- 11:05Right now, I had in my twelve, we're down to one car at the
- 11:10moment because they all book, ARS keep just the starting, the
- 11:15engines want to quit. And so, yeah, I heard you
- 11:20reference that in an episode, that's always fun.
- 11:23Yeah, I'm so I think it's a loose nut behind the steering
- 11:28wheel. So it's some point sooner than
- 11:40later. I definitely need to get, you
- 11:44know, if we replace the I am, the one vehicle that's been
- 11:48sitting in the shop for a few months now and then eventually
- 11:55replace the one that we have. It's working.
- 11:58We got just shy at 250,000 miles on it.
- 12:01Nice. Breaking it in.
- 12:03Yeah, well depends on the car I grew up with you know the
- 12:08old-timers of watching Richard Pryor and Yeah.
- 12:13Carlin probably, they kind of, they kind of get that the other
- 12:15things, they kind of go hand in hand.
- 12:18Yeah, that's the old ones, but again, I'm older than yeah, I'm
- 12:24a huge fan of or was a huge fan of Buddy, Hackett.
- 12:27Okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 12:28Really getting back there. That's an obscure old yellers.
- 12:32Guys are loves to talk about the member, you know, more more more
- 12:39recent ones I do like Bert Kreischer.
- 12:42And oh God, what's that one? I've been seeing going around
- 12:45Facebook clips of Matt something or another fucking alerts.
- 12:48He does crowd work. That's pretty much.
- 12:50All I know is I was it, is it Matt Rife?
- 12:53Yes yes, yes, a younger, he's younger looking kid.
- 12:56I don't know how old he is but he looks young.
- 12:58He's like a baby face kind of looks like a model or something
- 13:01was like you're not a comic you looks like a feeling like
- 13:03underwear ad he's only I keep my son will be. 24 this year.
- 13:13Yeah, he's a baby. Yeah, girlfriend son will be 24.
- 13:25I was more into the British comedies when I was younger.
- 13:29I already like keeping up appearances and what was that
- 13:35one? Are you being served?
- 13:38All right, and then mr. Bean.
- 13:41Oh, mr. Bean was definitely, no, mr.
- 13:42Bean Rowan Atkinson. Even a stage performances,
- 13:47especially like when he's the school, Teacher or the principal
- 13:54and the names reading the names out of the book or the invisible
- 13:58drum set. I was just about to ask if you
- 14:00had the if you had seen the invisible drum kit.
- 14:03Yeah, that was amazing. That was amazing.
- 14:05And the fact that he's moving with the sound of it just
- 14:09perfect timing on it, right? And I also like Carlin didn't
- 14:14through it'll honest, but it's funny.
- 14:16Hmm. And then I also modern more
- 14:20modern. I like Hostetter.
- 14:22Oh yeah, yeah. He's good to have seen a lot of
- 14:23in his old-line. His ability to handle hecklers
- 14:28on the spot like that. Be able to pop that stuff right
- 14:30out of his head, right. And he's almost like built.
- 14:35He's almost built his thing on on that, too.
- 14:38When he, I bet he can't go to a show without getting heckled now
- 14:41because like it's almost like inviting it at that point.
- 14:46Well, that and I'm sure the people want to see if they can
- 14:49actually Heckle him to where he gets frustrated.
- 14:51Strated to right right? Right.
- 14:53That's more of a challenge too because if you can actually get
- 14:55him frustrated, you one? Yeah.
- 14:58Right. Yeah.
- 14:59You'll lose the room if you if you can't hide.
- 15:04If you get if you get visibly upset at a cat, an audience
- 15:07member have you guys had to deal with hecklers?
- 15:14Not really. There was one and you might
- 15:18catch it in an episode coming up.
- 15:22I think the episode title is yo, shut the fuck up.
- 15:25Oh, yeah, because there was there's one night at an open mic
- 15:29where this guy was just commenting and answering every
- 15:34kind of a lot of comics will kind of open a premise of like a
- 15:37rhetorical question. They might may or may not even
- 15:40want an answer but he was answering as if like he was in a
- 15:42conversation with them and then kind of just like talking over
- 15:46people and making a lot of weird comments and different comic
- 15:51Handled it in a different way and then we finally had one.
- 15:55Go up this guy, Charles baynard, yeah, who's hilarious.
- 15:59And the guy is just starts talking.
- 16:01He just looks over and he goes, yo, shut the fuck up.
- 16:03I'm like, after everyone was kind of like, like kind of
- 16:07either ignored it or kind of skirted around it, or just like
- 16:10made, like a smartass comment back to the guy or that kind of
- 16:13thing. This guy just kind of shut it
- 16:14down and is his pretty funny us. Personally, I, we haven't really
- 16:20been heckled like Personally, as we've mostly just been open
- 16:23mics, I'm sure will experience it more when we get into rooms
- 16:29with, you know, just people there to see comedy, not other
- 16:33Comics. Yeah, they judge a silently.
- 16:36They don't, they don't, they don't typically openly ha ha
- 16:40less idiot. He either gets you right.
- 16:48Right, right. Well thank God the stage.
- 16:51Lies. Don't let you see their eyes.
- 16:54Oh, trust me. Even with the stage lights,
- 16:56those judgy eyes will just come right through.
- 17:00That's what I do. Feel a little one.
- 17:05Yeah, I tell you actually I remember that dude.
- 17:07He was it was weird because he wasn't even like he wasn't
- 17:11heckling necessarily but he was just very not self-aware and
- 17:15just was talking kind of like thinking out loud.
- 17:18There's just like gee it was very distracting.
- 17:21But I kind of a at the at the time, it got her appreciated it
- 17:24because it's all right. Well, I need to get used to this
- 17:25anyway so I might as well have somebody not yelling at me and
- 17:28just yelling for no reason. That's the thing.
- 17:35I actually was able to deal with him a little bit.
- 17:38I had a bit that I was trying out about when I don't know if
- 17:44you guys, do you guys have I know you guys are kind of spread
- 17:46out across the country. Do you guys have like a Cracker
- 17:48Barrel? Yeah, I know I'm from.
- 17:50Yeah, that's the restaurant. I didn't know, I didn't know how
- 17:54Regional that was but it had a I was kind of working on a bit
- 17:58about people kind of losing their mind when they introduced
- 18:02like a plant-based sausage, like they didn't get Rid of anything
- 18:04on the menu, They just added like a plant-based sausage and
- 18:08people are losing their minds saying.
- 18:09It was woke sausage. And how dare they I'm going to
- 18:12boycott like they didn't take away the real such as they just
- 18:15added plant-based. So the the bit was well, okay,
- 18:19now the meat eaters are more annoying than the vegans but and
- 18:24then and then of course, this guy goes I'm vegan, I'm vegan
- 18:27sounds like I guess you proved me wrong.
- 18:35Oh, gosh, it's been almost 20 years ago.
- 18:37I got to meet Brad Sherwood. That was pretty cool.
- 18:41I already. Okay, he would do the on the
- 18:45Whose Line Is It. Anyway, was that is that?
- 18:47Am I thinking of the right guy? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 18:50Yeah. He was a playing and Michigan
- 18:54and in Lansing and I went with a friend of mine who manages the
- 19:00hotel he was staying at actually and she's like I got tickets.
- 19:04You want to go with me? I'm like sure.
- 19:06So after the show we were sitting back in her office,
- 19:08drinking a beer and hika walks by and knock knock.
- 19:12Knock and comes in and hangs out with us for a few and throws
- 19:15back a couple. It was pretty cool.
- 19:17Nice nice. That's sweet and in common it's
- 19:22really good. Okay, for sure he's no longer
- 19:26with us but I did get an opportunity to meet Gallagher
- 19:30one time as well and Trevor City, that's really easy.
- 19:33Yeah, agent I've Actually, I've got a picture with him with me
- 19:36and my ex and Gallagher. Yeah, that's awesome.
- 19:39That was, it was him not Gallagher to know.
- 19:43It was him. Yes, it was nice, was not a
- 19:46sports awesome. That's awesome.
- 19:49Yeah, that was, that was a fun night, too.
- 19:52Now, I don't know if any of you are old enough to remember the
- 19:56show, and I think it was Regional to the Philadelphia
- 19:59area. It was called the Great Space
- 20:01Coaster. No, I don't think so.
- 20:03No, okay, Okay. Well you said you've won, you
- 20:06probably weren't old enough and it might not have been.
- 20:09It might have been just a regional show.
- 20:12The premise of the show was the one and I'm using finger quotes
- 20:17here. Main character was a very large
- 20:22man sized puppet with red hair. Okay, A friend of mine, from
- 20:30high school, resembled this character a lot.
- 20:34Poor guy. He got into an argument him and
- 20:38one of the other girls who I was friends with got in an argument
- 20:41one day at lunch and she just turned around and said, well you
- 20:45look like Baxter, which is the name of the character which
- 20:50stuck. I believe we actually got into
- 20:53the actually got into stand-up comedy in the Philadelphia
- 20:57region, from transmission that lady, I guess.
- 21:04So but he actually started, there's a restaurant in the
- 21:07Philadelphia area code tour genes that used to do like once
- 21:10a month a showcase. So he was emceeing and one of
- 21:17his jokes like I said he's a he was like 350 pounds 63 with
- 21:23flaming red hair boy. So one of his jokes was I used
- 21:28to be bulimic but now I'm halfway through recovery.
- 21:34Jerk nice. So, just by chance being my wife
- 21:40happened to go and he was the emcee for the night.
- 21:42Oh, that's so. After the Showcase was over, we
- 21:45sat down with him to have, you know, to have a couple drinks
- 21:50and for the life of me, I cannot remember who the headliner was,
- 21:55but it was someone. It was one of the more popular
- 21:59Comics at the time who had done a lot of appearances on Stern
- 22:03Show. With who, you know.
- 22:06So the you know me and my wife and my buddy and this this
- 22:11gentleman like I said I my wife can't remember what his name was
- 22:14either from the wife of us, you know, can't remember who it is.
- 22:18We're sitting there having drinks just shooting the shit.
- 22:21He's telling us about how you know, how it's like you know
- 22:24what it was like being on the Stern Show and he's you know,
- 22:27and house--for else. Turn is as a person and
- 22:31everything, you know, it was cool, right?
- 22:35And I just wish I can. If, and when I ever remember, I
- 22:38will let you guys know who it was.
- 22:42The biggest I ever met? Was album was Al Franken,
- 22:49really? Really, yeah, I can see that.
- 22:52Yeah. Well, it personally wasn't his
- 22:58fault, but it was his Management's fault.
- 23:00He was when he was plug in the Eric said, this would have been
- 23:052000 when it was for Clinton. So running for president over,
- 23:14it was reelection or what, but he was doing the Democratic
- 23:19circuit and staying in, I think he was a speaking at a Michigan
- 23:24State University and he walks into the Radisson in downtown
- 23:29Lansing him and his two assistants, it goes to check.
- 23:34And I kind of figured it was coming in because I actually had
- 23:36Saturday Night Live scripts that were getting faxed over to us
- 23:40and how? Wow.
- 23:42Yeah, I know. Right?
- 23:43And the front says, he's crouched has to check in and
- 23:46she's like, I'm not finding a reservation for him, and she's
- 23:50like, look in there. Like, we don't have a
- 23:51reservation and they're like, what?
- 23:54And I just, I look at her because I was working the third
- 23:58night shift and I is, if we were sold out then I said just put
- 24:01him in, just get him, just put him on, just put him in.
- 24:04I'll take care of it later and so she's like, okay so she's
- 24:08like in at this point management hadn't called and given us a
- 24:12credit card. So you know the assistants are
- 24:14all annoyed because now they got to use one of theirs and he's
- 24:18just standing there with this disgruntled.
- 24:20Look on his face and I feel like I have a fax for you.
- 24:23Mr. Frank, and I'll be right back and and then a little bit
- 24:26later management called like, oh my God, we're so sorry, please
- 24:29put it on this card. Yeah.
- 24:31So that's you know, I've met Comedians in my day so far as an
- 24:39Eclectic Bunch too high. Yeah.
- 24:41L Franken, Brad Sherwood and Gallagher I mean all in their
- 24:46own route. Well well I guess we're honored
- 24:52to be added to the mean I guess I wouldn't want to be a comedic
- 25:02relief category. Fair enough.
- 25:05There we go. That's good enough.
- 25:08So so what kind of postal jokes do you have that?
- 25:11You have a bviously done on stage that you can share with
- 25:15us. Hmm, you probably have more of
- 25:19an, I do have a couple. I mean, I do some of my own kind
- 25:22of leaned, a little dark, but not like not crazy.
- 25:25That there's one. I tried the very first time on
- 25:28stage and it didn't really do well.
- 25:30So, I just never really did it again.
- 25:32I might, I might revisit it. So, I was on, I took over this
- 25:36route for I became a regular in that I took over none of the
- 25:40route, that's not part of the premise of the book because no
- 25:41one cares about that. But to set it up is I took a
- 25:45route. And I get to a box and all of a
- 25:48sudden, some guy comes up the driveway with a cane.
- 25:50He's a blind guy, and he comes walking up with a cane.
- 25:53So, he's the blind gentleman and I say hi.
- 25:58And he says, are you the new regular?
- 25:59And I said, yeah. And he said, well, I guess I got
- 26:04there earlier than the previous regular because he said, well,
- 26:08you're fast, but are you accurate?
- 26:13The blind guy was asking me if your bike is questioning
- 26:17questioning my accuracy so I don't know.
- 26:21So I said we'll see what he won't let.
- 26:24So so it didn't really land. I mean it did just as well on
- 26:28sages. It just did a minute ago said, I
- 26:32don't mind sharing the one I've kind of opened most stuff with
- 26:36can I'm not going to do it forever because hopefully come
- 26:38up doing this forever. But um, That generally has done
- 26:43pretty well just. You know, I on my route I have a
- 26:47senior apartment building last week.
- 26:49I delivered four books of checks to a woman in her 90s And that
- 26:57so like it usually that tends to get a laugh because they kind of
- 27:00put the math together that you know right now but you know a
- 27:09little a little optimistic, getting four books of checks.
- 27:13You know her denture cup is half full that kind of things.
- 27:19I don't think people could be that blind Joe coming.
- 27:27I think as long as it took me about an hour to get it,
- 27:53my math is off by even intervals but I do know what an interval
- 27:56is now. I have I have a few.
- 28:00I've tried that don't land much. I do have one.
- 28:05Well, I've won the like I've packages packages, rip open all
- 28:08the time, and I always love when it's like a Victoria Secret bag.
- 28:12So I get to deliver that to somebody and get a weird-ass
- 28:14look, like, I've been rummaging through there, but they're like,
- 28:19like their delegates, which is like, it doesn't get too much,
- 28:24but it's difficult to write a to write stuff about, like, postal
- 28:28stuff because it's so specific, right?
- 28:32Other people who understand Example, her in it would get up
- 28:36a people at an open mic. There's only only two of us.
- 28:40Well actually there is a third who was, it was a hearing aid.
- 28:42He's not working there anymore, you couldn't make it, he's a
- 28:46better comedian than he is supposed to work that I do.
- 28:50I have one that that works. Sometimes it's a like during the
- 28:53pandemic they considered, like they considered postal workers,
- 28:57essential workers. They're calling us like he arose
- 29:00and stuff. And it's like, all right relax I
- 29:03brought you granola bars like this isn't just another heroic
- 29:08going on case is Rocky later. Wake package.
- 29:31Add pain or personal gratification.
- 29:37I do first hit, I tried to convince my manager to let me
- 29:48work from home. He wasn't buying it.
- 29:51Yeah. They don't have the good drones
- 29:53for that yet. I may have long arms but I can't
- 29:58reach the boxes from my house. If we were allowed to throw him
- 30:03we could but that would be great.
- 30:05So just witchcraft some become a clerk and be order to be
- 30:08authorized with Rome. Exactly.
- 30:12You always loved that when people's package, I loved the we
- 30:15have to be the face of the operation who delivers all
- 30:18fucked up packages. It's like listen, I didn't throw
- 30:22it but it was thrown plenty of times before I got it.
- 30:26Don't get me started. Scram a longer distance.
- 30:32I think they were going for who could make the longest shot.
- 30:37Exactly. Yeah, I did.
- 30:40There was another one I've tried and it works.
- 30:42It works. Sometimes it's a like I usually
- 30:45put butted up against like that granola bar.
- 30:47One like, well, listen, I'm not. There's nothing heroic about me
- 30:50last time. It snowed I started sliding into
- 30:53a mailbox and I put my arm out to stop it.
- 31:00I guess not. Like that's stupid.
- 31:02I thought I was going to stop a 2,000 pound vehicle with my arm
- 31:05against a mailbox. That one Air Bud troweling.
- 31:10Yeah, but the break my arm jumped in with us tonight.
- 31:20How you all doing tonight on Damian?
- 31:23This is Ben, he's one of our not so vocal accomplices.
- 31:31Didn't recognize The Voice once in a great while.
- 31:35Yeah, yeah, me even your podcast as RCA's,
- 31:52we accept RCA's arcs, ETFs regular carriers, even accept,
- 31:58what he's paying. None dues-paying members.
- 32:03Well I've heard Bills take on that so yeah he had some family
- 32:10stuff going on tonight otherwise he probably would have been a
- 32:12great addition to this group, okay.
- 32:17Hey you're right he reminds me of Al Franken that's funny.
- 32:19You're talking about that. I wanted to ask him if I wanted
- 32:27to ask him if putting if you If if you crack a postal inspectors
- 32:31head open, do you put that on the 4240 or green card or are we
- 32:39filling out of 1767? I'm glad I don't know what form
- 32:47that is safety form form. You fill that out for a safety
- 32:54hazard. Do Kraken.
- 32:56Kraken, postal inspectors heads open is a safety forum for the
- 32:59pulse. This pressure.
- 33:02He probably the onions. They should have hired him on
- 33:07the spot. Yeah, he keeps the mail safe.
- 33:16Yeah. Yeah.
- 33:17So it's called an overachiever I remember in high school, we
- 33:23called them try-hards in phys. Ed A few of those I called them
- 33:36once it went to class. Yeah well yeah well yeah I
- 33:44didn't know what that's where my math skills came from.
- 33:51We noticed you're gonna buy it.
- 34:15Yeah, yeah. Well with renting, you don't
- 34:19have to pay for Anything that goes wrong, you're buying a
- 34:22house, you have to fix everything that's wrong with it.
- 34:24So you got to set aside more than what you're putting into
- 34:26your mortgage for repairs. That's true.
- 34:28I also question. They also can't be, they can't
- 34:31be charging much for water up there and Michigan.
- 34:35No, I'm on a well so I don't get charged for water.
- 34:39He's got the good stuff. I'm nowhere near Flint, we're
- 34:41good. He's got off of Detroit's water
- 34:49that they had. The problem figure that one out,
- 34:54right? They decided to go from
- 34:57Detroit's water, which somehow apparently was good water and
- 35:00switched over a Flint River water.
- 35:02If you've ever been on the Flint River, you'd look down at it and
- 35:05go. Yeah, I ain't drinking that even
- 35:09though we're in central Pennsylvania.
- 35:13So we have the Susquehanna. So we got a little bit of that.
- 35:18We just have a nuclear power plant.
- 35:20The road drink the water. Yeah, yeah, go on Netflix.
- 35:26It's called Three Mile Island and we're drinking that shit
- 35:31will now. We will know the effects of that
- 35:33for about 15 years yet better than automatic on the river in
- 35:42the Delaware on the other. So you get the best of both.
- 35:47Oh yeah. But not only did you get the
- 35:49chemicals, y'all? They had the bodies floating by
- 35:51yeah, from New Jersey. Yeah.
- 35:57People keep saying, you know, down here with a, a steak
- 36:01sandwich. You can't get it on my own.
- 36:03First of all, you can't get the holes, right?
- 36:05Because you ain't got the Schuylkill Schuylkill River
- 36:08water running through those rusted, copper pipes.
- 36:11Yeah, it'll never be as good. Remember writing that water.
- 36:20In a Philly cheese steak without rust.
- 36:23Yeah. Hey, that's your iron content
- 36:27for the day. Oh yes, I am deficient so that
- 36:31works better than that. Might not find you up like iron
- 36:40supplements do know. But of yeah the stake in the
- 36:46role will and And a quarter pound of cheese on it.
- 36:53So, question, what's the biggest audience you've done a stand-up
- 36:56comedy for roughly? Well, I guess that would have
- 36:58been the. We did have a little while ago
- 37:00we had I guess it's been over like I don't like maybe two
- 37:04months ago because there's March 10th.
- 37:06Okay. Yeah, they did a showcase a
- 37:08beginner's luck showcase, they did for us kind of like kind of
- 37:12got together like basically almost a Moksha and not a
- 37:15Moksha, I shouldn't say that but I show a small show just to like
- 37:18kind of get a lot of the People there's a few new newcomers to
- 37:22the same that like are the regular Mike that we go to on
- 37:25Monday nights and they they kind of got together a show.
- 37:28Just to kind of give us a little taste of like a real comedy
- 37:32show. Feels like and I mean, I don't
- 37:34know how many, I don't know exactly what the turnout was,
- 37:37because it was still a sparring for the best at this, at the
- 37:39time. But yeah, but I don't think they
- 37:41even knew because if they didn't take tickets or anything, so it
- 37:43was still, they didn't have a count, but it was it.
- 37:46I mean, I'm trying to think the room was fool.
- 37:49Yeah, it's pretty. A full house.
- 37:50I mean I mean it might have been having 50 people.
- 37:53At least I was going to say at least 50 years.
- 37:55Okay. Glad we're on the same page.
- 37:56They must have probably right. I'm glad your math matches up
- 37:59with mine is Gonna Save that. They forgot to tell you showing
- 38:04that you were supposed to count. Yeah.
- 38:06You're not real. Not realizing your Superior
- 38:09counting's. I don't know.
- 38:12It's like a, it's like 200. Like 1,000 people.
- 38:17This is like a football stadium, right?
- 38:23It can't be as until it can't be no.
- 38:27Where's intimidating? Is standing up at National
- 38:30Convention at the podium because you're running know, I can make
- 38:34a thousand people with the light shining in your face.
- 38:40Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. Depends depends on the room
- 38:44because it was. I mean cuz it was me it was like
- 38:47a bunch of people there to actually Enjoy a comedy show as
- 38:51opposed to just Comics, like, trying out their own material
- 38:55and not necessarily, you know, like not criticizing you but
- 38:58like not analyzing everything because they're also comedians.
- 39:01So they're, you know, they're trying, they're thinking about
- 39:03their own said, and if they are listening to you, they're like
- 39:06probably tearing it down like, oh, how do you write this joke?
- 39:09Yeah. That was lazy.
- 39:10Like, or even if they think even if they think it's funny, they
- 39:14may have, like, heard it four or five times.
- 39:16And in their head, they might be like, that's what he told it
- 39:18better this time, but it's not an automatic Evil laughter.
- 39:20Like we can't hear that on stage even if they approve of it,
- 39:23they're not. Yeah audibly laughing because
- 39:26they've heard it four or five times even if it does work in
- 39:28the yeah. Comedians often talk about like
- 39:33we kind of appreciate jokes a little bit differently and I've
- 39:36been guilty of it too. Especially once we started
- 39:39thinking about our own jokes like you hear a joke and you
- 39:42don't laugh you just think oh it's a great joke.
- 39:44Yeah, it's like, oh wait I should be laughing that's what
- 39:47they want. Like that that the the point is
- 39:49Is to is to get laughter. And I'm sitting here just like
- 39:53silent thinking. Wow, that's a really good joke.
- 39:56I was. But that was probably.
- 39:58Yeah, exactly, right. Exactly, right.
- 40:00But that was probably the biggest show that we've done and
- 40:04it was, it was funny because somebody told us, one of our
- 40:07friends Andrew Brooks, we had him on the podcast before he's
- 40:10been doing it a little bit longer than us.
- 40:12He's but he's a little bit ahead of the game because he's been
- 40:15doing improv for years prior. But when he would hate you
- 40:18bringing that up, I do. I love it.
- 40:20I'd bring it up, anytime I can because I love bringing up that
- 40:22he did improv, but he he said, they like I remember like during
- 40:29that night I remember thinking about what he told us like,
- 40:33maybe six months before that he's like you guys are doing,
- 40:36all right? And you're going to love how
- 40:38easy a real show is because people are actually there's a
- 40:41it's a real audience. People actually want to laugh so
- 40:44they're just they're all on board with everything you're
- 40:46saying. So it is funny.
- 40:47How much easier it is to perform in.
- 40:49A lot of people that like don't also do comedy, right?
- 40:53Right. Yeah, it's much as 50 people's.
- 40:55I honestly much easier than like three people.
- 40:57Yeah. 1000%. Because three people just feels
- 41:00like, all right. I guess.
- 41:01I'm just practicing my stage Presence at this point because
- 41:05they're not gonna laugh. Yeah, we're all depressed with
- 41:09your bad math. Windows, three people, be 50
- 41:11people. You're right.
- 41:14This is true, I'm bad at math. I'm not drunk.
- 41:19Don't see double vision. It is not plus, 50 is like
- 41:2320,000, so it's all relative listen.
- 41:27The statue of David was built a thousand years ago.
- 41:39I will have to say I was I was laughing at the talking about
- 41:44the bands from yesterday's episode.
- 41:48Yeah, I'm glad you mentioned flee.
- 41:54And I'm like, I've seen Red Hot Chili Peppers who doesn't know
- 41:57flee. But yeah, I know.
- 42:03Know the replacement arm for the Def Leppard's drummer that I
- 42:11actually had to stop it. And actually laugh afore, I
- 42:14could continue to us in the mail along the highway today.
- 42:19Awesome. Hope you have a very rural route
- 42:22and that's not a federal crime. You're talking a little County
- 42:27highway so it's not a big deal because I I envisioned it.
- 42:34Let's put it that way. You dirty.
- 42:40You said you were on 23? No, I was on f41.
- 42:43Wasn't a 2000, okay, I could tell you guys work together,
- 42:46that's always fun when you mentioned Numbers and people
- 42:48like what the fuck, are they talking about?
- 42:50We're in the same state. So, okay, we know our roads will
- 42:56be well, that would be the state of confusion, right?
- 42:59Yeah, exactly, confusion. I know that one very well, been
- 43:09on that road, plenty of times. I actually wanted to ask you
- 43:17guys Something and get your opinion on something.
- 43:20I went to the PA state convention a few years ago.
- 43:25Okay? There was a resolution that was
- 43:27proposed actually from our local that made it to the state and it
- 43:32got shot down. And so I wanted to get your
- 43:34guy's opinion on it. The I don't remember the exact
- 43:36wording, but the gist of it, was the person who proposed it,
- 43:40essentially wanted anybody any carrier who is going into a PDI
- 43:46receiving? Action should have the right to
- 43:49be present during the process. Does that make sense
- 43:53essentially? Like sometimes you'll file a
- 43:55grievance, and then Stewart or whatever will meet with
- 43:57management and kind of represent you and the general consensus
- 44:03and why it got shot down? A lot of them were like, well,
- 44:07there's a lot of idiot carriers, who don't know, when to keep
- 44:10their mouths shut and it's, you know, it's not in their best
- 44:13interest and they may say something that will jeopardize
- 44:16what the sewers doing. For them it and I do get that.
- 44:20I mean, there's are a lot of idiots, I fancy myself, one
- 44:23occasionally, but it also at the same time, I think at the time I
- 44:28was, I had recently had a situation where I had put in for
- 44:32something and they kinda sorta half went to bat for me and I
- 44:37feel like it should have been, you know, something that should
- 44:39have been retroactive but it wasn't and I but I don't know
- 44:45that I was fairly represented in that meeting.
- 44:48So, I get both sides of it. So I was kind of curious, your
- 44:50guy's opinion on that, you know, I understand that.
- 44:54Yes. Oftentimes, like, Harry's will
- 44:56sit well, like, say something that doesn't help their case in
- 44:59that situation. But should a carrier have a
- 45:02right to be present in that situation.
- 45:04That's a good one, because I don't know I've ever heard a
- 45:07resolution like that before. I mean, I definitely see where
- 45:11it got shot down recognized. Yeah, me too.
- 45:14You know, I see that as well, but In a way, it would almost be
- 45:19similar to, you know, what, a grievance doesn't get settled
- 45:23and it gets set up the chain then that local Steward is left
- 45:28hanging on to it until they hear something.
- 45:31Gotcha. Stewards, don't even get to
- 45:35follow it on up the chain and I mean, be kind of cool to sit in
- 45:39and see what's going on. I definitely agree.
- 45:41I mean, you know, you get told when you go in for a PD, I've
- 45:45had a couple pdi's. I know My old office why I was
- 45:51Steward. There you haven't had a PDI.
- 45:53You're probably not doing it right, right?
- 45:56Actually what you are told, usually by your Steward.
- 46:07It's just yes or no. Or I don't know for answers
- 46:11because you don't want to incriminate yourself.
- 46:14And you do have carriers that I could see during a step one
- 46:18meeting between a steward and management and they're trying to
- 46:22defend themselves even further when they should completely not
- 46:28even open their mouth. Right.
- 46:30Right. You see it?
- 46:32You see it even in investigative interviews and things like that,
- 46:37you know, if you have The best advice I ever got, was from a
- 46:42lawyer, it was no matter what you say, no matter what you do,
- 46:49anything you say, will be misconstrued, misinterpreted,
- 46:53and misapplied to be used against you.
- 46:58And that advice, that advice has stuck with me ever since it's
- 47:04the same, whether you're dealing with cops, it's the same,
- 47:08whether you're dealing with management.
- 47:09Aunt. It's the same whether you're
- 47:11dealing with your friends or supposed friends.
- 47:15I should say real friends won't do that to you.
- 47:18Yeah but he'll help parents. I remember being a teenager.
- 47:27The key to the key to it is the know this isn't Steward advice.
- 47:35I'm not acting any storage capacity in the situation, of
- 47:39course. But what should happen is that
- 47:44Steward should do their darndest to defend that carrier as if
- 47:49it's themselves in that grievance, as if that grievance,
- 47:53is there on their supposed to own that grievance, as if they
- 47:58put it forth themselves in turn around and fight for that
- 48:01carrier, as if it is their own grievance.
- 48:04And then, once they're done with that, they need to come back to
- 48:06that carrier and explain to them exactly.
- 48:09What happened, everything as much detail as you possibly can,
- 48:14because that carrier took the risk of filing that grievance.
- 48:19And I call it a risk because you can say, you can say it,
- 48:23however, you want but no matter what every time you do something
- 48:28that angers management or anger, somebody else that puts a Target
- 48:32on your back. Absolutely, yeah, yeah.
- 48:38You just have to no matter what when it's something when it's
- 48:42disciplinary and that's even going into an investigative
- 48:45interview. And again, I am not acting in.
- 48:49Our capacity. I'm not giving Stewart advice
- 48:53that the burden of proof for disciplinary action lies on
- 48:59management, right? Right.
- 49:01So if you've got that, that carrier can't keep his mouth
- 49:05shut and he's just a rattling away.
- 49:10Well, now, you're building that burden of proof of more and more
- 49:13with management because, yeah, great great channel on.
- 49:19Tube the DUI guy, great lawyer, he says it best, every test you
- 49:25do for them builds the case against you doing those tests is
- 49:29not clear. You of the problem, it just adds
- 49:32more to the list of things they can put against you in court.
- 49:35They've already chosen, they're going to arrest you.
- 49:37They just want more to put on top of it.
- 49:40Yep. Right.
- 49:42Yeah. So yep, that's pretty much why.
- 49:46The K on that one real quick. Right, right.
- 49:53Yeah, yeah, yeah. For sure.
- 49:55I mean I yeah, I totally understand that and have to
- 49:57check with a baseball bat singing.
- 50:06Someone, Nice. Are those friends.
- 50:21Good friend will fight with you, your best friend will be sitting
- 50:24next to you in jail. Saying let's do that again.
- 50:41Yes, the safe is all before cuz you drank the fifth, I gotta
- 50:54walk the correct four blocks because if I walk three blocks
- 50:58the other way I end up in Lake Huron so you know, you don't
- 51:05want to walk anywhere. Okay.
- 51:16I was just, I'm far enough away that I can walk.
- 51:18I can walk at night without a flashlight.
- 51:20So I was just right downtown. For a Tattoo Expo.
- 51:34Oh nice. That sounds fun.
- 51:36It was, it's always fun. It's an annual event for me.
- 51:41I'm actually taking my daughter in July down to Ohio to the ink
- 51:46car serration festival at the Mansfield penet.
- 51:49Oh cool. Yeah.
- 51:51How'd she is that sounds cool. Three days of heavy metal and
- 51:55Tattoos. I've already got my session
- 51:57booked but hell yeah, it's did. You get a perm?
- 52:02Proved for that leave. I did I did because it was
- 52:07prepaid and I put it in outside of the 60 days with my receipt
- 52:12and said, yeah, I'm going by yeah.
- 52:32And nobody likes to talk about because their podcast get banned
- 52:43for it. We never had a real going served
- 52:47in my office. I wish I could say that.
- 52:52Do you five routes or that's? Not too bad.
- 52:58That's pretty big. Never seen that before.
- 53:06How many Rush do you guys have in your office?
- 53:09Hell, I don't know. Over 50 is it that many?
- 53:14Yes. 30 and West and like around 20 and then plus aux routes that
- 53:18they just did insist on making. Yes, somewhere between 50 and 60
- 53:22nice and split between two buildings like East and West, so
- 53:27a nice little office. Okay.
- 53:31Cody. Yeah, that's just roar alive.
- 53:33I don't know if City. There's might be like, 100 about
- 53:36the same and it was just same. I don't.
- 53:38It seems like a lot more. Yeah.
- 53:39There might be more, I don't know.
- 53:41Yeah. Don't ask us about a guy you're
- 53:46supposed to know. They can't math, right?
- 53:53Yeah, I can read, I can read addresses.
- 53:55That's all. That's all I know.
- 53:56I can count the number of times. I've had my accident, Actual
- 53:59like just scheduled K day because that's 0, are you a
- 54:07regular or formula? I don't have Saturday off cozy
- 54:22office, don't you? Oh, yeah.
- 54:24It's little teeny tiny thing in my station.
- 54:29Or 18 wool 4730 in my office of the holders. 230, 230, and 260
- 54:41World walks with between 9 of 15 stations.
- 54:48Wow then station three different separate like locations.
- 54:52Yes different delivery units that all fall under one
- 54:56postmaster. Wow, that's early Master must
- 55:00make a billion dollars a year. My postmasters office is on the
- 55:09second floor of the plant. Wow, that's crazy.
- 55:13Some carriers probably never know.
- 55:16No, they don't. My station is the closest to the
- 55:21plant. He was there this week because
- 55:23we had a bunch of big with, you know, there was a dog and pony
- 55:26show going on big boss in the building.
- 55:29I think, wife, I think the vice president of retail Center other
- 55:34within was in town with her cronies.
- 55:37So he, you know, he came through with them or that the last time
- 55:44he was in the office was months ago.
- 55:48A buddy of mine at a different station.
- 55:50In the last time, I talked to him, he couldn't even tell it.
- 55:53You know, I don't think the postmasters I was a ever been to
- 55:56that location. Wow, that's crazy.
- 55:58At least the current postmaster. Yeah, I don't know food matter
- 56:03because we had a postmaster retire reasonably.
- 56:07So I don't mind talking shit because he he retired, but he
- 56:10out of our 50 plus routes just just to building.
- 56:13So nowhere, even near the scope of what your postmaster has to
- 56:16manage. He Goes up to this carrier and
- 56:19is like, oh, are you the new RCA?
- 56:21She's like, I've been here 14 years.
- 56:28So yeah, he's retired. So luckily we don't have to deal
- 56:34with that. Yeah.
- 56:36A fucking function, big offices, like that.
- 56:39That's that's so crazy. How many myself in your got four
- 56:46routes plus an ox So we're really, really small.
- 56:49Yeah but-but-but. Burp, like, 120 miles for the
- 56:54routes plus. So what works for World?
- 56:58Okay, nice. Now, use your own hospice or do
- 57:00you have an APO or where we have an Olympian where the main, huh?
- 57:05Well, what are the main office? And we got two other hubs, I
- 57:08guess you could say through our mpos under your Apple Orange
- 57:11Peel. Yep.
- 57:12So your postmaster covers all three locations.
- 57:15Well, oh, I see does now postmaster.
- 57:17ER, he's been out since December 16th.
- 57:20So, yeah. Okay.
- 57:22But wow, that's a roll. Yeah, we gotta are always named
- 57:26the best she can. Yeah, dude doing pretty good job
- 57:29or what she is? Doing a pretty good job.
- 57:32Yeah, we've only got six rural routes and or not and you guys
- 57:36are your Standalone office. We have to rmp offices, but the
- 57:41three routes for those offices are under our roof.
- 57:44So, in this, it's in the same building.
- 57:47Yeah. So three different zip codes,
- 57:49yes? Okay, all right, James, are you,
- 57:53are you, do you have arm pios or is you all in one office and
- 57:57alone, one office p.m. and have supervisor?
- 58:00And I'm supposed to have, we're supposed to have five clerks but
- 58:03we're down to two poses. They hired a new one.
- 58:06Hopefully here soon I'll show us but one of our, one of our Cas
- 58:10has been doing the clerk work in the morning to get ours.
- 58:14We just we have a good compliment a sub.
- 58:16So he's doing the clerk. Work to get more hours.
- 58:18The clerk's that are there now will only do 40 hours, they
- 58:21don't want any OT. So they aren't gonna file a
- 58:23grievance against them cattle. And so what they just finally,
- 58:26they moved Amazon out of our off.
- 58:29We were actually The Hub office for three offices in the area
- 58:32and they pulled the Amazon out because we didn't have the court
- 58:36moved it to other offices. So now we're back to Six-Day
- 58:38delivery. Out of our office.
- 58:40How nice which sucks for me? Because I have a 28 mile route
- 58:44and I have to feel my truck twice a week and most It skips
- 58:48the sub. So I feel my truck twice a week.
- 58:50Now, instead of getting it filled on Sunday for Amazon, you
- 58:58poor thing, sometimes it ends up that I have to fill it up when I
- 59:03leave to go. Start my day on Monday.
- 59:09You got to fill it up on Saturday.
- 59:12Yeah. Bring it back.
- 59:24And what's that? What's that?
- 59:28What's that mean? And it seems that typically And
- 59:48they, you know, if I don't Thursday which is the day I've
- 59:51been taking, it needs ends up all without fail, but on
- 59:56Thursday, it needs gears. And if I put take one of the
- 59:59tags and fold it in half and right need scares and slip it on
- 1:00:03my key ring. When I put it on the hook, they
- 1:00:06don't use my truck. We had a thing in our office
- 1:00:16where they had to have a meeting.
- 1:00:17Thing that people had to hang up their keys and not hide them
- 1:00:20because people were hiding their keys on Saturday.
- 1:00:21Evenings from whenever manage whatever management, you know
- 1:00:29pisses me off. I just fill up with premium, you
- 1:00:33guys had that talk to. Well, yeah, you got caught doing
- 1:00:38that. They had to talk to you about.
- 1:00:40It wasn't? It was an accident.
- 1:00:42That's just where I got the bit from.
- 1:00:43Yeah, is there. I've done that is this Yeah,
- 1:00:48it's all right. Is there something going on with
- 1:00:50mattresses because they just pulled three from our office
- 1:00:53there? John.
- 1:00:53Yeah, well, I knew that. But is there like a mass recall
- 1:00:57in them or something? Nothing because they gave us
- 1:01:01all. Hello Vis.
- 1:01:02Instead, they're given a room. Has the rumor is they're blowing
- 1:01:07engines, why not? That's crazy.
- 1:01:09Number one, they're supposed to be ran on premium gas and then,
- 1:01:13and they told everybody to put regular in them.
- 1:01:16Yep. You can't do that.
- 1:01:21These mattresses are turbocharged engines.
- 1:01:24Yep. You put regular gas and then
- 1:01:27it's going to put more fuel into the cylinder and it's actually
- 1:01:30causing an over pressure in the cylinder.
- 1:01:32Blowing out the head gaskets most likely to cause, but always
- 1:01:35being chirping cost-conscious, I mean, a couple bucks in gas is
- 1:01:39surely more cost-effective than just buying new engines and it's
- 1:01:43being the cusp. What if we put Rock fuel in it,
- 1:01:46what would that do to it? That's will be better for it
- 1:01:49because the ethanol in regular gas actually has a higher
- 1:01:55pressure rate than unleaded fuel.
- 1:01:59Yeah, a lot of stations around here with Rec fuel.
- 1:02:02That's I was like, hmm. What can we do?
- 1:02:08It's all good. Yeah, I took yeah, actually we
- 1:02:11had a that's like the one of the fan mails we got from somebody
- 1:02:14in the room that I II. I took I was I was running
- 1:02:20Express and packages one day bird just for over 240 T and I
- 1:02:25just happened to take one of the metrics has unknowingly.
- 1:02:29I'm not certified with one of the mattresses and I guess I
- 1:02:34didn't ask management first. So I ended up driving a metres
- 1:02:37for for a few packages and I guess I wasn't supposed to do
- 1:02:42that. You put your collar up and you
- 1:02:50said, I'm driving a Mercedes. I didn't put my collar up but I
- 1:02:54definitely sped a little bit. I don't know why they made them
- 1:02:57so fast, but the and I drive a Mustang, one of the not working
- 1:03:03and I'm like, damn, this ain't too bad.
- 1:03:05Honestly, they were built with Rex specifications, 47 miles an
- 1:03:13hour ago, 47 miles an hour between boxes.
- 1:03:17That's what they're for. Or a point, nine point two
- 1:03:21minutes per mile. 47 miles an hour.
- 1:03:29Is it smooth? Because my truck shakes a little
- 1:03:31bit around like 90 95. Yeah, right.
- 1:03:33I know you didn't come 99 llv myself or said 65.
- 1:03:38I don't think that was said I was doing 85, but when I checked
- 1:03:48on the GPS, I was doing 20 As I drove in one where as soon as
- 1:04:02you get up over 35 miles an hour, then needle starts
- 1:04:06bouncing between 30 and 60 and it just started bouncing down.
- 1:04:16As you say, if I'm going 35, it says 2245 back and forth and
- 1:04:21back and forth. So, I had my first, my first K
- 1:04:27day off Over this last Thursday, and I go in the office and I'm
- 1:04:33like, what are the plans for my, you know, for this next week,
- 1:04:37Thursday. They're like, when do the same
- 1:04:39thing. We did the previous Thursday,
- 1:04:42we're going to bring in two subs, to do your route, because
- 1:04:44not one of them can fit. I don't know what it is, but one
- 1:04:48of them can't can't do it and they always miss a truck.
- 1:04:51Sadly. Oh, geez.
- 1:04:53Yeah, but been killed, kiss it because he was only an RCA for
- 1:04:57what just over a year. Oh, geez.
- 1:05:00I don't want to hear any complaints from you there.
- 1:05:04I can say that on this episode. Well, you know, I just get so
- 1:05:09pissed off because they only let me train with them for one
- 1:05:12fucking day like, like, obviously, what was the end
- 1:05:16result you're going to say? He's never going to make truck.
- 1:05:19You only does it once a week train.
- 1:05:21What I mean that usually is. That's exactly what.
- 1:05:29Straining. I got for my third fourth, fifth
- 1:05:32sixth 12/20 left that I learned. Wait wait yeah no but son and
- 1:05:52Damian how long have you guys been with the post office need
- 1:05:56since 2015? Yeah I was around the same time.
- 1:06:01Yeah, a little bit after babies there for longer, what's it?
- 1:06:05I'd say that's when I went regular.
- 1:06:07Oh well yeah yes, yeah I was RCA for a year PTF for a year and
- 1:06:11then became regular some only two years being a subset.
- 1:06:15Sorry. Sorry just started everyone
- 1:06:17else. Well I was born tracked for
- 1:06:21years to go regular and then FSS.
- 1:06:26Hey and that put a big boy Put two machines in the Greensboro
- 1:06:30district. And with the 50-mile rule for
- 1:06:33holding routes in case of xi's regulars.
- 1:06:39One street on one route in the city of Charlotte fell into that
- 1:06:4450-mile radius, just one street, which one street on one route
- 1:06:50and our northernmost station on the northernmost.
- 1:06:54Route fell into that 50 mile circle so they froze they froze
- 1:06:58completely. Version for two years.
- 1:07:01I wish I could hold the prized towards the end of those two
- 1:07:05years. They realized they don't need to
- 1:07:08machines up there. So they held a bigger, shut one
- 1:07:13down, disassembled it shipped it down to Charlotte reassembled it
- 1:07:17and extended the freeze for another two years.
- 1:07:21So you had the two years initially the one year for the
- 1:07:24transport and then the two years for when we first got it in
- 1:07:28case, We lost any route and they leave.
- 1:07:34So that was five years. That there was a freeze on
- 1:07:38converting RCA's to regulars, that's wild.
- 1:07:44Meanwhile, I started in December of 14 and I'm still an RCA but
- 1:07:51you're still an RCA, eight years, four months.
- 1:07:59In days so far. Counting for Preston.
- 1:08:02Let's be fair though. How long have you been at your
- 1:08:04office? I did transfer.
- 1:08:06Is she? You did transfer which started
- 1:08:09the time over? So, yeah.
- 1:08:11Yeah, I was second in line in my old office when I transferred,
- 1:08:15hey, it'll be 5 years, September when I transferred I have you
- 1:08:19ever thought about moving to central Pennsylvania, three
- 1:08:24people that were below me in my old office of Aragon regular.
- 1:08:29He here they're going regular less than a year almost.
- 1:08:31I think a couple of them swing going quick.
- 1:08:34I will be going regular by the end of September.
- 1:08:37Finally, ha sighs. Congratulations finally in 2017
- 1:08:46and I went, I started in April of 2017.
- 1:08:51I went regular November or 2020? Oh wow, that's not a bad run.
- 1:08:56No, I when I when I got My office.
- 1:08:59I was a thin line and set 2017 through people quitting leaving.
- 1:09:05I watched one RCA decide to leave an entire car to packages
- 1:09:09in the office. Before she quit.
- 1:09:12She could have kept their job during during Christmas.
- 1:09:15I know she did a few did Christmas.
- 1:09:20We had one who said, she had to go out to her car and grabbed
- 1:09:23her purse and she never came back.
- 1:09:28Both of those and we here and RCA chased.
- 1:09:32Hope downloaded up, went out on the street decided, this is not
- 1:09:36the job for him called his buddy.
- 1:09:39Lock the keys in the truck, and just left it on the street.
- 1:09:43Oh nice. Yeah, we are seeing at least
- 1:09:54that quit that I was talking about with number one sub.
- 1:09:58Number one, sub, two months after she quit, the guy below
- 1:10:02her, who had been there? 17 years to hurry teen went
- 1:10:05regular She could have been regular.
- 1:10:09We just stuck it out, but yeah, she decided to quit instead and
- 1:10:1417 years for him. The guy below him was 15 years.
- 1:10:17The guy below him was five and then me at three and a half G's
- 1:10:22all in all six months. Wow, yes.
- 1:10:27She really should have stuck that out.
- 1:10:29Yeah, we had a girl dead. Uh, she, she was a sub with me.
- 1:10:34Guess you're ahead of me. So you were a sub, like, I don't
- 1:10:36know, maybe a year, maybe less before.
- 1:10:38Or me, right? And she was like right after me
- 1:10:41and she went regular and her first day as a regular, she no
- 1:10:45call. No showed.
- 1:10:46And we never saw her again. Yeah, she just said, she cries
- 1:10:52like a gangster. Yeah.
- 1:10:54So it was so gangster. She was just like, no, I'm out.
- 1:11:00Well, they called like, they could wheat.
- 1:11:02They called a missing persons report.
- 1:11:05Lisa actually went to her house and she was like, oh no.
- 1:11:08I just Yeah, they did she didn't even text anybody people were
- 1:11:11texting her calling her. She just ghosted.
- 1:11:13Everyone that's the way to do it.
- 1:11:21I'm gonna make him worry about me.
- 1:11:24We actually had an RCA do the shadow day and then go to
- 1:11:27academy and left Academy sick. The second day and never
- 1:11:30returned. Yeah.
- 1:11:35Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:11:38Man we had we had one come in for a shadow day and told the
- 1:11:43carrier to just let him out of the truck, middle of the route
- 1:11:46to walk back. I she was, she was starting a
- 1:12:10car sick and she's like, okay, just let me out here.
- 1:12:13And I have a there was like a school, an elementary school.
- 1:12:15So it worked out of my God, I'll let her here and she called
- 1:12:18management. And they took they told her just
- 1:12:21wait for me to finish the route. You guys couldn't come and pick
- 1:12:28her up and this poor thing is like hitting sick of the back of
- 1:12:31the car. You couldn't just let come get
- 1:12:35her, nothing wrong. Nothing wrong with Adult just
- 1:12:38hanging out outside of an elementary school.
- 1:12:40Nothing. Nothing weird about that.
- 1:12:42All the mail comes first.
- 1:13:02Well, they had a telecom to go to apparently forbid.
- 1:13:07They leave their Yeah. They got they got listener
- 1:13:11managers complain about City carriers when they're in a fully
- 1:13:14real office. Yeah.
- 1:13:15Yeah. I think what was best was when I
- 1:13:20was doing was I doing the Rex mapping facilitator training and
- 1:13:25I looked down on the postmasters desk.
- 1:13:29And that literally, she had used one of those label makers and
- 1:13:34printed out her script, including her name on how to
- 1:13:37answer the A phone and stuck it to the desk right underneath the
- 1:13:42phone. Like she doesn't know how to
- 1:13:48answer the phone. What you don't want to
- 1:13:53accidentally? Say Burger King.
- 1:13:55Yeah, you know, like Eucharist and you don't want to say thank
- 1:14:00you for calling the Radisson. I'm going to leave that one
- 1:14:10alone don't normally, I would make a joke there about you
- 1:14:13working to Hotel. So I'll leave that one alone.
- 1:14:22She's proud of her. Oh wait, that's just in Detroit.
- 1:14:38With that having that many offices and routes can any RCA
- 1:14:42be put on any of the like be sent to any of those offices?
- 1:14:46And can any like, one bid on a route in any of them?
- 1:14:50Or is it, are they all kind of individual?
- 1:14:52Oh really? Yes actually actually wires.
- 1:14:56Well, when we first went formula, they had a wool
- 1:15:00coordinator. So each individual station was
- 1:15:03supposed to make up their schedule with what they had for
- 1:15:07RCA's and June, what rent and then fill in saying on like this
- 1:15:12particular route on this day need coverage and submit that to
- 1:15:16the coordinator and then he made a master schedule for the
- 1:15:21upcoming week and sent it out to all the stations saying what
- 1:15:26RCA, you know, of the RCA's where they were skate like which
- 1:15:29station and Route, they were scheduled to work on each day as
- 1:15:34you step, then they you know, He's that original person step
- 1:15:41down from doing it because it was just a detail at that moment
- 1:15:45and the next person was kind of keeping up with it but not as
- 1:15:50much and then when that person when the third person got it she
- 1:15:54was keeping all the RCA's and scheduling them in her station
- 1:15:59and pretty much told everyone else fend for yourself.
- 1:16:04So now we actually have they actually have A bull manager
- 1:16:09that just got the position, a couple months ago.
- 1:16:13Allegedly, she supposed to be getting us back to actually
- 1:16:18scheduling that and wakey. Even to the point when I submit
- 1:16:22leave my supervisor is once they receive it has to send it to
- 1:16:27her. And she has the master calendar
- 1:16:30for the whole city, for the whole office, and approves, and
- 1:16:34denies accordingly allegedly. What would they merge?
- 1:16:39All these offices into the PD and sees?
- 1:16:42Yeah, I don't know what's going on with that.
- 1:16:44I know I heard I keep hearing that we're supposed were
- 1:16:47supposedly in faith. Going to be in Phase 2 of that.
- 1:16:50The guy, the supervisor or manager in charge of the Otis
- 1:16:55testing it for our area was actually in my office and I met
- 1:16:59him you. When I first started, when he
- 1:17:01was just a regular old, just tougher, he said he was out of
- 1:17:04the office at the time when they've had Right.
- 1:17:10Is he saying at least I guess from a management perspective of
- 1:17:13Atlanta, It's a success. Yeah.
- 1:17:16Browz individual routes of more mileage on it but everything's
- 1:17:20right there already for them. So he always says it's working
- 1:17:24out. You don't have, you know,
- 1:17:26multiple trucks coming from multiple locations shipping to
- 1:17:30all these different places Louise's, everything's right
- 1:17:34there. When you come in, everything is,
- 1:17:36you know, should In theory is right there.
- 1:17:39Ready for you to go. Wow!
- 1:17:42I mean it seems oh, I just see it seems interesting.
- 1:17:46I mean it seems like definitely got promising.
- 1:17:48I guess it's kind of crazy though.
- 1:17:52Seems like a good plan but when you have vehicles that their
- 1:17:55frames alone him over 400,000 miles on them.
- 1:18:00That's a good deal and beware on their fourth or fifth engine and
- 1:18:04seventh transmission, third rear differential.
- 1:18:08One. Front-end second body.
- 1:18:10You're putting even more wear and tear on them.
- 1:18:12And on top of that, carriers got to do 50 miles an hour from that
- 1:18:16P, D and C to the route in order to stay inside their evaluation.
- 1:18:19Because anything over a mile is nine point two minutes per mile
- 1:18:24which is like I said, 47 mph. So these Caterers are trying to
- 1:18:28do 55 miles an hour in a truck, that doesn't even want to do 40.
- 1:18:33Yeah. Yeah, no.
- 1:18:34They're sticking their leg up. The door kicking around trying
- 1:18:39to get it to go faster Fred Flintstone hopefully by then
- 1:18:46we'll start seeing some of these new vehicles on the road in the
- 1:18:53city carriers first, they get the new stuff so that way they
- 1:18:56can drive around and look good, but the marshals.
- 1:18:58Yep, so yeah. Yeah.
- 1:19:01Drive for five miles a day, huh? Yeah, that is crazy.
- 1:19:08If you have a breakdown, I mean, how long is it going to take for
- 1:19:11them to get out? There takes them to an hour to
- 1:19:13get out to us and they're in York.
- 1:19:15So like what happens if they're 50 miles out and that's the
- 1:19:20that's whoever won the bidding process for the like the Fleet
- 1:19:23Maintenance like for us it's an hour anyway and we're in our own
- 1:19:29office for them to come and do whatever.
- 1:19:32Like the one day I got stuck against the mailbox, you talked
- 1:19:35about putting your arm up, stop it.
- 1:19:36I did one of those back. I was smart.
- 1:19:39I did not stick my arm out to stop myself.
- 1:19:42All right, let's take it out the mailbox.
- 1:19:43It's taken out the mailbox but no, just set right up against
- 1:19:46it, couldn't open the door. Nothing.
- 1:19:48I had to climb out, NASCAR style and the wait.
- 1:19:53Now for the record to get there and he had to actually pull me
- 1:19:56sideways across the ground, luckily, it was completely slick
- 1:19:59out. So he just literally pulled me
- 1:20:01back up onto the crown of the road from the side of the truck,
- 1:20:04and I continued on my way, but in ours about Wait for them, to
- 1:20:08get out to me, even now because the contract with they have for
- 1:20:12our area is right by. The PTC is where they are.
- 1:20:17You have been children were on the mailbox over?
- 1:20:23Yeah. No, it was so perfectly.
- 1:20:26I was not going to run it. It did not move that mailbox.
- 1:20:30It just leaned against it. That's a few years back.
- 1:20:36I had, you know, we had from snow and ice coming down the
- 1:20:40road, you know, it was a curve or a downhill and that was a
- 1:20:45shady spot, so it was still pretty slick.
- 1:20:48I ended up slamming into park and pulling the ebrake and
- 1:20:52truckstop like two inches from the pose, the post nice.
- 1:20:58I just called back to the station and I said, look, I am
- 1:21:01not moving this truck because if I try, it's taken out the box,
- 1:21:06I'm gonna lie. Cause you're in North Carolina,
- 1:21:15I'm thinking of dusting because I've had to go out with 18
- 1:21:22inches that fell the night before and try and deliver no in
- 1:21:26a POV. We had 12 inches of a couple
- 1:21:42years back. We had 12 inches of snow.
- 1:21:44If I could find the picture, I would show you guys 48 hours
- 1:21:48later. The only only thing that was
- 1:21:51left was a little tiny white patch on my neighbor's yard
- 1:21:54because they have the shade in their front yard.
- 1:21:59Most of the afternoon, you know, most of the day you guys closed
- 1:22:02down for a week though, until it was all gone.
- 1:22:10The post office know your power grid.
- 1:22:13Go down like Texas. No surprisingly, no.
- 1:22:20Yeah, they talk about snow and everything closes down down here
- 1:22:23but also offers still open. I think in the what?
- 1:22:2615 17, 18, whatever number of years, I've been with the post
- 1:22:30office two times. They've cancelled delivery on
- 1:22:34us. Tina.
- 1:22:35Post office. You want.
- 1:22:37I'll post office. Only once in 17 and that was
- 1:22:41because of the trucks wouldn't start because it was negative,
- 1:22:4535 out literally went to crank the truck anyway.
- 1:22:54My old office we actually had the block warmers on all Alviso.
- 1:23:01We just had to remember to plug them in at night during the
- 1:23:03winter. Yeah, we don't have them but
- 1:23:07we're not that lucky far north, I was feel like but then again,
- 1:23:11tuck with Texas, Lov have four-wheel drive.
- 1:23:14Yeah, that don't make sense. But really, yeah, yeah, there's
- 1:23:19a few of them down there in Texas than a four-wheel-drive.
- 1:23:21Texas trucks don't have four-wheel drive as I say, I
- 1:23:25know some FF these are all wheel drive, but Mmm.
- 1:23:29Yeah, I love the mattresses. It's like oh we're going to make
- 1:23:31it rear-wheel drive again. Like okay, thank you.
- 1:23:34Thanks. And we're stories about those in
- 1:23:36the winter. Yeah we are.
- 1:23:38I will finally have cars and she said the first year that the
- 1:23:41first winter, they had the measures the snow got packed in,
- 1:23:45so thick in the wheel. Well it froze, the wheel went
- 1:23:50and I mean, I didn't even take that much, it's a minivan.
- 1:23:55Yeah, that's it. Go everywhere dryer.
- 1:23:59Yeah. We have a route that's half.
- 1:24:03Got a dirt road on. It that doesn't get plowed.
- 1:24:06They took the mattress out on that Flat Road, nothing but snow
- 1:24:10and ice on it. Go to hit the gas and it
- 1:24:12wouldn't go anywhere. The traction control kick
- 1:24:15traction control, kick in it. Would stop the van, it won't go
- 1:24:18anywhere. All right, guys, we're gonna
- 1:24:23kind of wind it down since we're getting a little bit late here,
- 1:24:28two hours flowers. No Bobby can fill full episode.
- 1:24:37And a half. But with this whole Rex Fiasco,
- 1:24:39bullshit. How did your guys's office fair?
- 1:24:41By the way? With that?
- 1:24:44Not too bad. Yeah, actually, I haven't heard
- 1:24:47any horror stories. I stayed the same.
- 1:24:50I went up. Yeah.
- 1:24:52And I haven't heard anybody like besides maybe going down like an
- 1:24:57hour or two. It wasn't really that bad.
- 1:24:59I don't know if it was, I don't know if they were harder on us
- 1:25:02for the scans if we just did. Better with that.
- 1:25:05Or if it was we got more fair of account, I don't know because
- 1:25:09they say, it didn't, it's possible because we definitely
- 1:25:13had no shortage of there was a couple like, light day, like
- 1:25:17disrespectfully, light days, but during the main email service,
- 1:25:22but we did have plenty of days with him mine with the survey
- 1:25:26that was only four percent. Yeah.
- 1:25:29That's what they said serger. Yes.
- 1:25:32And that was only the mail that you were getting.
- 1:25:34From the clerk's that the clothes worked and sorted.
- 1:25:38Yes. So the only way that would have
- 1:25:42made a difference is if you were like on the cusp of let's say a
- 1:25:4643 or 44 show that might have been just enough to put you up
- 1:25:51to the 44 that make sense. Yeah.
- 1:25:54Yeah. It's what you've been doing for
- 1:25:56the last year. Yeah.
- 1:25:59And what you've been entering in the scanner and the volume of
- 1:26:04mail and Packages. You've had is with any
- 1:26:08difference. Yeah and I know in West York,
- 1:26:11they were big getting hammered with packages because Amazon
- 1:26:14doesn't help as much for some of those routes.
- 1:26:17They have a little bit more rural routes, so I guess Amazon
- 1:26:20just doesn't help them. But we've gotten Amazon help and
- 1:26:24we still didn't have too many. We didn't really have much of a
- 1:26:27fiasco or anything in East York. So so it's definitely I mean I'm
- 1:26:32I appreciate it and I was I was definitely doing I was doing my
- 1:26:37scans like I could but I definitely was maybe like a
- 1:26:41little bit of camping out, you know.
- 1:26:44I don't know what I had a when the red plums were really thick
- 1:26:47I had about 700 unscannable Parcels barrier.
- 1:26:52That's carrier discretion. That is carry this.
- 1:27:19That's a lot of lost. Now, the carrier, the carrier
- 1:27:30that did that. She stay went through my
- 1:27:33training, I Put on a unpaid unsanctioned Rex training with
- 1:27:39my carriers in my office, to help them with the scans, and
- 1:27:43that didn't help them at all. I had for Carrier show up out of
- 1:27:47the twelve twelve routes than six, Subs, that we had to the
- 1:27:52routes aurochs routes. So but the one talks about went
- 1:27:56up two hours, it was a two hour a day route under average, so
- 1:28:02but it went up to three and a half hours.
- 1:28:04Hours a day and my route, my route stayed the same.
- 1:28:08My route was the only one that stayed the same.
- 1:28:10Everybody else in my office lost another.
- 1:28:13Another carrier in my office said, said to me when I was
- 1:28:17telling him that I was putting on the training said, I was told
- 1:28:19only to do the six gansbaai management.
- 1:28:21I'm only paid for the six can. So I'm only going to do the six
- 1:28:24cans. The only thing that saved his
- 1:28:27route from becoming an H route. Was the fact that his primary
- 1:28:32sub went to my training and Is overly zealous with her input
- 1:28:37the scans yeah for him. Wow he was he doesn't know it,
- 1:28:45he doesn't know what he doesn't like his sub for any folk really
- 1:28:48but his sub is the only reason his route then go to an 8th
- 1:28:52route because if a no other inputs other than hers were on
- 1:28:56his 4241. So you know we don't we don't
- 1:29:01give out advice on here like we're Union.
- 1:29:04Sewers, we give advice. Like where's the carrier?
- 1:29:06In the end the cubicle next to you or in the case next to you
- 1:29:10talking to you, you know you're getting your advice from your
- 1:29:13Case-Mate. That's how we do it.
- 1:29:15And that's all we want to do is give you advice like like your
- 1:29:20neighbor would do in your office.
- 1:29:22Even that sometimes, you know, your neighbor sometimes don't
- 1:29:25have the right advice, sometimes we get the information wrong.
- 1:29:29And that the biggest thing, Link for wrong.
- 1:29:35Take a drink. Every time you hear, if I'm
- 1:29:38wrong, take a drink. Just like when we say carrier
- 1:29:40discretion or supposedly, don't drink on the job, I thought I'm
- 1:29:47gonna die while you're listening to it.
- 1:29:49Keep a little counter bowing your head when you get home.
- 1:29:51That's how many shots you got to take and no drinking our podcast
- 1:29:57because if you're drinking, when we say something wrong, you're
- 1:30:00going to die a violent alcoholic poisoning and I usually Listen
- 1:30:04to him on the route so I really couldn't do that.
- 1:30:07Anyway, so we're that God has for your own safety, and lots of
- 1:30:20Consciousness. Supposedly guys, speaking of
- 1:30:29your podcast, where can we find you?
- 1:30:33All the, all the major places where podcasts are Apple podcast
- 1:30:38Spotify Amazon, Stitcher. Google podcasts.
- 1:30:43Yep. Pretty much anywhere.
- 1:30:44And then we do, we have an Instagram and add attempted
- 1:30:48delivery, where we, I usually post a lot of like, the memes we
- 1:30:53make memes between we kind of waffle between postal related
- 1:30:57memes and comedy related memes for the moment until we finally
- 1:31:01were eventually going to go to video.
- 1:31:03And then we'll post Clips on there, but for lack of anything
- 1:31:07else, we just make things that we think are funny and post it
- 1:31:10on, post it on Instagram, which we need to start posting to
- 1:31:13Facebook because it seems like we get a little bit more traffic
- 1:31:15on there but you can cry, but yeah, just on.
- 1:31:19Yes. Yeah, I gotta figure.
- 1:31:20They don't learn how I do. I'm the worst Millennial ever.
- 1:31:26I don't know how to use social media but his girlfriend has a
- 1:31:30Facebook account. Imagine, imagine that imagine
- 1:31:35It's more than just my space now, you know, right?
- 1:31:38Yeah. That would be I've that was my
- 1:31:40last social media website before for Instagram was my space.
- 1:31:47I missed him. We can't wait until you put your
- 1:31:50first actual performance. Here on stage performance on
- 1:31:54online for us to see that would actually yeah well you have got
- 1:31:58to get around to that. We got to get some some topical
- 1:32:01material that way we feel comfortable.
- 1:32:03Comfortable burning it because we need all the material we can
- 1:32:07get. So, what would you guys do?
- 1:32:10If you were like, invited to be the entertainment for like a
- 1:32:14State Convention banquet or something?
- 1:32:17Ha ha ha. We might do.
- 1:32:18Well there because I'm, we can do some real, real real postal
- 1:32:23jokes that only you guys would like, or just would be fired II.
- 1:32:28I mention that because my state Secretary, it was really cool as
- 1:32:31hell and She was talking about wanting to do you know finding
- 1:32:35some sort of entertainment and she's like maybe some comedian
- 1:32:39or something. I was like no, who?
- 1:32:44Well we're going to start writing material.
- 1:32:48Now if they need if they need us to will find a way to work clean
- 1:33:00and I would say yeah, yeah, I think we could And it is that
- 1:33:03although no cuss words are smut but gave me a my talk about
- 1:33:06death, not only regular carriers but there's also retired people
- 1:33:18in there as well not for long. If they did the full term at the
- 1:33:30post office. They're not going to last too
- 1:33:32long ago. Good, probably happier.
- 1:33:37Now, they got to be if they're not there, mentally ill.
- 1:33:42So they just saw the vacation together at National Convention
- 1:33:45vacation. Yeah.
- 1:33:52Well, thank you again for having us and I didn't want to forget
- 1:33:55to say this, you guys are really doing like in a it's impressive,
- 1:33:58the information you're getting out there and I'm definitely
- 1:34:02avenge. It will have listened to all of
- 1:34:05your episodes because I you can't get better information
- 1:34:08than what you guys are providing out there.
- 1:34:10For sure, you guys are providing a real service, that we are not
- 1:34:14indeed. If you include this episode, as
- 1:34:22soon as we get off, if you press play, it number one, by the time
- 1:34:27you go back to work on Monday, you probably will be caught up.
- 1:34:34You say that like, I get Saturday's off.
- 1:34:36I don't know what that means, but we only care about giving
- 1:34:45information to our fellow craft mates.
- 1:34:48Like you would if it was your best friend or your neighbor, if
- 1:34:51your case neighbor or something like that, you know, and we knew
- 1:34:55that coming into this that it wasn't.
- 1:34:58It information wasn't flowing freely through a lot of the
- 1:35:02channels and Wanted to give a central location for everybody
- 1:35:06to hear. What is most likely, the current
- 1:35:09topic of the day. We're not Union stewards for the
- 1:35:12people that are listening to us. We're not Union Representatives.
- 1:35:17Nothing we say here, can be construed as coming from the
- 1:35:20union, or an opinion of the Union.
- 1:35:23Nor is it an opinion or idea from the United States, Postal
- 1:35:26Service, but, from what we've seen in available documents that
- 1:35:31are public to Union and non-union members.
- 1:35:35This is the information that we've gathered, that's what we
- 1:35:38do and take what we say with a grain of salt.
- 1:35:41And sometimes that grain of salt can be on your margarita glass.
- 1:35:47Breaking your shots of drinks from our carrier discretion,
- 1:35:53really? Supposedly shot glasses made for
- 1:35:55that but you know, we're available.
- 1:36:03And every platform out there from Spotify to YouTube so
- 1:36:09anybody can find us there. United rescan, pretty simple,
- 1:36:13easy to find. We're on Facebook, both a page
- 1:36:16and a group, you can actually ask questions in the group and
- 1:36:19if your question seems like something we could talk about,
- 1:36:23we'll put it on the air, same for you guys.
- 1:36:24If you have a question get it to us.
- 1:36:26We'll see if we can put it on the air.
- 1:36:28Awesome. Absolutely.
- 1:36:30You might take you up on that. So we'll see.
- 1:36:32What? We'll see you in September.
- 1:36:34If I go down I'm gonna have more questions.
- 1:36:40I'm gonna be like this route would have 12:45, I was so happy
- 1:36:44to get that. What's a 40?
- 1:36:46What that's gonna be. Well, you're the RCA.
- 1:36:50So that's your fault. You know, I'll be going on
- 1:36:55killer with after the snakes, many mail survey.
- 1:36:57That's the problem. That's the one that I'm the one
- 1:37:02that gave out all the Mason everybody in the office and
- 1:37:07Teresa postmaster. Yes and supervisors.
- 1:37:12Yeah, now it's been fun, guys. And for everybody who wants to
- 1:37:19get off of out of the seriousness, go listen to
- 1:37:23attempt to deliver it because you'll get Giggles.
- 1:37:25I do we hope so. I did, I roll my eyes.
- 1:37:38Episode. Right.
- 1:37:40True. Yeah, that's when.
- 1:37:50Do you guys for Alban your new listeners?
- 1:37:54When do your episodes come out? We dropped them Thursday
- 1:37:57mornings at 7:45, which is our start time.
- 1:38:03The other side. So I figured keep it keep it
- 1:38:05consistent. You have to right now that may
- 1:38:07change but hopefully I will not write.
- 1:38:10So we'll see. It might change to Friday
- 1:38:12because of like a conflict of an open mic conflict soon but we'll
- 1:38:16see. Hopefully it'll keep the same.
- 1:38:19What we move to video. We might need more than just 24
- 1:38:22hours to get the episode out. Well, that's what happens with
- 1:38:27our YouTube. Yes, exactly.
- 1:38:30Yeah, yeah, yeah. I Would you say Christian that
- 1:38:34you uploaded everything Sunday night and it didn't actually
- 1:38:37drop onto YouTube until yesterday?
- 1:38:40Yeah, I finally got it uploaded to YouTube yesterday.
- 1:38:42Oh, you forgot you forgot to upload it.
- 1:38:45Forget to adjust for the last three days, trying to train the
- 1:38:52new guy and today. Come on now.
- 1:39:03The podcast is just the recording.
- 1:39:04What we say. Hmm.
- 1:39:08Yeah. We need, we all need producers
- 1:39:10for these things. We need to make it so that we
- 1:39:12can just pay people to do this for us.
- 1:39:15I actually have another carrier. Oklahoma who messaged me and
- 1:39:21said, hey because he he's done podcasting in the past and it's
- 1:39:24just restarted his. He's like I can do editing and
- 1:39:28whatnot for you like, oh my God, I love you.
- 1:39:30Thank you. Because when I'm open till
- 1:39:35midnight, trying to get this and I can't even see straight and
- 1:39:38I'm just like, no Mike I gotta run to roads tomorrow.
- 1:39:44That's how to fix an editing happen.
- 1:39:48Yeah, you're not supposed to be the drinking game, you're on the
- 1:39:50podcast. Play who passes out first will
- 1:40:14probably be me because I haven't touched a drink in 10 years
- 1:40:20that's gonna change, you know but thanks guys for actually
- 1:40:26coming on with us and spending this time with us.
- 1:40:28We really appreciate it and taking us off the serious note
- 1:40:31that we usually have Have thank you for having us.
- 1:40:35Yeah, we appreciate it. Holding our Horizons.
- 1:40:39Hey, you know, that's what if it gets too much for you.
- 1:40:45I'm sure there's an open mic comedy, somewhere near you and
- 1:40:48you can try that. Don't worry.
- 1:40:52It's not good for your, for your more out for knows what I can
- 1:41:01tell. I can't do.
- 1:41:03I can't do math. I can talk, though, aren't
- 1:41:07those? The type of mushrooms you can
- 1:41:09moral. It was it's not safe.
- 1:41:25All right guys, we're gonna rip it up tonight.
- 1:41:27Thanks for coming on again and everybody go check out attempt
- 1:41:30to delivery. Give them some likes and What
- 1:41:33had I'm sure they would appreciate it.
