- 0:14Speaker 3: Welcome to Patriots Unfiltered.
- 0:18Speaker 2: So it's Evan, it's Paul, let's do U, it's me,
- 0:20Speaker 2: It's Alex and Matt in the poop I like that.
- 0:26Speaker 3: Song.
- 0:26Speaker 4: So when you take a poop, you don't stare at
- 0:28Speaker 4: it forever. You gotta flush it. Eventually we carried the ball. Yeah,
- 0:31Speaker 4: I don't know about that, but they flushed. The people
- 0:33Speaker 4: are at the point now he's a or. We're trending
- 0:36Speaker 4: towards bad bad weather. Quarterback.
- 0:39Speaker 2: You've got a refresher timeline. You need a timeline with pressure.
- 0:43Speaker 1: It's not just my timeline.
- 0:44Speaker 4: We have people calling into the show on Catch twenty
- 0:46Speaker 4: few talking.
- 0:47Speaker 2: To you too.
- 0:47Speaker 3: Which one do you think the Patriots at better shooted
- 0:50Speaker 3: to defend?
- 0:50Speaker 2: I think earlier it was, oh gee.
- 0:54Speaker 3: There's only so many double passages you can run for
- 0:56Speaker 3: thirteen yards, you know like that those kinds of comments
- 0:59Speaker 3: I think some people are I know, but I wasn't
- 1:01Speaker 3: on my fun with calendars with Paul. Math not my strong.
- 1:05Speaker 1: That's why I put my calendar out.
- 1:07Speaker 4: You know, in the second half they maybe they could
- 1:08Speaker 4: have used his energy a little bit.
- 1:11Speaker 3: This is Patriots Unfiltered, presented by Toyota's official website for
- 1:15Speaker 3: deals buy a Toyota dot com.
- 1:19Speaker 2: All right, welcome to Patriots Unfiltered. It is Thursday here
- 1:23Speaker 2: at Chills Stadium, and we're getting ready for the Baltimore
- 1:27Speaker 2: Ravens Sunday Night, Sunday Night football on Andre and it's
- 1:33Speaker 2: Evidence caul let's deuce. It's Alex as Fred, It's Alex
- 1:36Speaker 2: and Matt in the booth. Well you have that extra person.
- 1:42Speaker 4: Don't play mallet, but a boy in the booth.
- 1:47Speaker 2: So what what's going on today? We got our market sick? Yeah,
- 1:51Speaker 2: he's said, we got a new I guess lose a
- 1:54Speaker 2: few people that are sick in Baltimore, I guess. But
- 1:58Speaker 2: I'm I'm going to talk about Patriots. Are our injury
- 2:01Speaker 2: report has me worried?
- 2:02Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 2:02Speaker 2: Sure, yeah da, So right off the bat, let's talk
- 2:06Speaker 2: about that, sure about it?
- 2:07Speaker 6: Sure call no robertsplane, which we kind of anticipated when
- 2:10Speaker 6: he was in the walking boat yesterday. But also Christian
- 2:13Speaker 6: Ellis too, another one who well.
- 2:15Speaker 4: He is an illness So let's hope that that's not
- 2:18Speaker 4: something that I'm not worried about mattling games. Yeah, but
- 2:21Speaker 4: Marcus Jones and Carlon Davis. Yeah, Marcus Jones was in
- 2:25Speaker 4: rough shape after the game, and so I think a
- 2:27Speaker 4: lot of us like kind of clocked that and made
- 2:31Speaker 4: note of it and then just beat up me. Yeah,
- 2:34Speaker 4: he was struggling to get his pads off and like
- 2:37Speaker 4: was just kind of you know, in pain.
- 2:41Speaker 2: Listen, like fairness that that is, like that the controversial
- 2:45Speaker 2: play that he was involved in. I mean, both guys
- 2:47Speaker 2: hit the ground hard. There was no like that guy,
- 2:50Speaker 2: you know, bracing for a fall there. They were both
- 2:53Speaker 2: you know, focused on the ball and that was it.
- 2:55Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:55Speaker 4: That guy, I mean he played in the slot like
- 2:58Speaker 4: that is here in a car crash every single week.
- 3:01Speaker 4: So he's got a knee injury is the official designation there.
- 3:07Speaker 4: Carl Davis has a hip. It was said in the
- 3:10Speaker 4: game it was a groin. Now it's a hip.
- 3:13Speaker 2: Connected, yeah, which worries me more so he's.
- 3:17Speaker 4: Got he's got a hip and then well he has two,
- 3:21Speaker 4: but he has one that's hurt. And then he is
- 3:24Speaker 4: thank you, Harold Landry is still dealing with the knee
- 3:28Speaker 4: thing like he's gonna play.
- 3:29Speaker 2: Let's say, is what is that Brady right shoulder thing?
- 3:32Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean I think Vrabel's been like this generally
- 3:35Speaker 6: through the season.
- 3:35Speaker 1: So we'll see today.
- 3:36Speaker 6: I'm not going to get too worried just yet about
- 3:38Speaker 6: some of these we'll see. I think he's liberally rested
- 3:42Speaker 6: guys generally on you know, bar Moore has consistently been
- 3:44Speaker 6: out Wednesday. I mean, definitely interesting and eyes will be
- 3:48Speaker 6: peeled for when that injury report comes out today.
- 3:50Speaker 3: But I put Landry in that category. I think he's
- 3:53Speaker 3: periodically gotten some d nps at practice. He's certainly not healthy.
- 3:58Speaker 3: I'm not trying to say, oh, it's nothing, it's nothing.
- 4:00Speaker 3: It's not Brady right shoulder, right, It's something he's dealing with.
- 4:04Speaker 3: And I think he's missed some practice time. But I
- 4:05Speaker 3: agree with Evan, I expect him to play. Jones and
- 4:09Speaker 3: Davis to me are the ones that I would be concerned.
- 4:13Speaker 1: If he had lose. I mean, you know, Chucky Trees.
- 4:15Speaker 2: But yeah, I had to pick a unit to be
- 4:18Speaker 2: banged up for this game, would it be your defensive facts?
- 4:21Speaker 4: I think corner, Yeah, I would be fine, Like if
- 4:23Speaker 4: Carlon Davis can't play in this game, right, They don't
- 4:27Speaker 4: really throw the ball. They're outside receivers anyways.
- 4:30Speaker 3: But would you think about using one of those on
- 4:33Speaker 3: one of the tight ends.
- 4:35Speaker 4: I've thought that they might do that all year and
- 4:37Speaker 4: they have it.
- 4:37Speaker 2: Yeah, every game.
- 4:39Speaker 4: That would have been my answer to every game they
- 4:41Speaker 4: have they play good tight ends. I'm like, maybe this
- 4:43Speaker 4: is the week they put Carlton Davis on the tight
- 4:45Speaker 4: end and they never do.
- 4:46Speaker 3: There's a play here or there, but haven't done it
- 4:48Speaker 3: really consistently. But Marcus Jones and Jay Flowers to me,
- 4:51Speaker 3: ye or two guys that I think could have seen
- 4:54Speaker 3: each other quite a bit.
- 4:54Speaker 1: And you don't really have a second slot guy. I mean,
- 4:57Speaker 1: the next guy.
- 4:57Speaker 6: Up after Chucky Trees would be uh, your guy Miles
- 5:00Speaker 6: Battle from last year is the next on the list,
- 5:03Speaker 6: and he's an outside guy too, So there really isn't
- 5:05Speaker 6: a little quick, shifty guy to deal with, what you.
- 5:09Speaker 2: Know, receiver? Yeah yeah, okay, So we have to keep
- 5:14Speaker 2: our eye on the injury report. We'll have another one
- 5:16Speaker 2: coming out today and of course after Friday's practice. Uh,
- 5:19Speaker 2: and then Evan will have his Saturday update.
- 5:23Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's gonna be interesting. You know, downgrades
- 5:27Speaker 4: and travel and all that stuff. But we did see
- 5:29Speaker 4: carl and Davis and Marcus Jones in the locker room
- 5:32Speaker 4: and you know, they they look to be, you know,
- 5:35Speaker 4: as good as you could possibly look walking through a
- 5:37Speaker 4: locker room. So I hopefully that is just like a
- 5:40Speaker 4: Wednesday maintenance coming off a tough game kind of day.
- 5:44Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:45Speaker 4: Maybe not for Davis because he was hurt during the game,
- 5:47Speaker 4: but for Marcus Jones.
- 5:48Speaker 1: Yeah, I think. I mean, I'm gonna say now, I
- 5:50Speaker 1: Betpallin doesn't play.
- 5:52Speaker 4: Oh yeah, I'd be shocked if he like it.
- 5:54Speaker 1: Like, you know, why do you say that, Well, now
- 5:57Speaker 1: he's in a walking boot.
- 5:58Speaker 2: We hadn't seen me.
- 5:58Speaker 1: He was in the locker room last week yesterday.
- 6:00Speaker 2: Yeah, we talked about that yesterday. It could be significant,
- 6:04Speaker 2: could be you know, preventative.
- 6:06Speaker 6: Just just keep mobile, balancing, you know, Like again, you're
- 6:09Speaker 6: going against Derrick Henry in a really tough run game.
- 6:12Speaker 6: It's it's just it's hard to see throwing Spolaine in
- 6:14Speaker 6: there for what to get them further injured, and now
- 6:17Speaker 6: you lose this game. I mean, these Jets and Dolphins
- 6:20Speaker 6: games get even more critical. So I I'd probably back
- 6:24Speaker 6: off and just like.
- 6:25Speaker 2: In a moment of truth, if Rabel said I'd rather
- 6:28Speaker 2: be healthy, you know, down the road, then you know,
- 6:33Speaker 2: put it go all in for this game. Would you
- 6:35Speaker 2: be upset at that? I'm not saying he's saying that. No, No,
- 6:38Speaker 2: you know, I'm just no.
- 6:39Speaker 6: I would understand it. I just I guess my question
- 6:42Speaker 6: is with a guy like Landry and Spolaine, is how
- 6:43Speaker 6: healthy can you get? You know, and how severe are
- 6:47Speaker 6: these bumps and bruises which you know are I mean,
- 6:50Speaker 6: with lander you could go all the way back to
- 6:52Speaker 6: you know, Tennessee, New Orleans. So I mean it's, uh,
- 6:56Speaker 6: you just don't know. You don't know the severity, you
- 6:57Speaker 6: don't know what they're dealing with.
- 6:58Speaker 4: It's like that seems to be land situation where it's
- 7:01Speaker 4: like this is just a knee thing and it's not
- 7:03Speaker 4: going to get remarkably better or worse. So we're just
- 7:07Speaker 4: going to manage it during the week and he's going
- 7:09Speaker 4: to play on Sunday.
- 7:10Speaker 1: It's like the hockey thing where then this is just
- 7:14Speaker 1: clean up. And also he had a puncture kid, he
- 7:16Speaker 1: just had a procedure.
- 7:19Speaker 4: Yeah, now I do clean up that. You could see like,
- 7:23Speaker 4: is it crazy to maybe start platooning that spot a
- 7:26Speaker 4: little bit with Landry because he just hasn't been himself
- 7:28Speaker 4: and he and he hasn't been as disruptive, and I
- 7:31Speaker 4: just wonder if maybe playing a little bit less, like
- 7:34Speaker 4: letting Ponder or Anthony Jennings or whoever, like play a
- 7:38Speaker 4: little bit more at that spot and maybe you just
- 7:41Speaker 4: use Landry like on third down or obvious passing situations
- 7:45Speaker 4: or whatever.
- 7:46Speaker 6: That was my question that was just like, well, where
- 7:48Speaker 6: do you use him? Because it feels like he's missing
- 7:50Speaker 6: some of the juice to to really get after the passer.
- 7:52Speaker 6: So yeah, you know, I found myself going back and
- 7:54Speaker 6: forth thinking about that, being like, well, on one hand,
- 7:57Speaker 6: I think he's a smart, tough player, and maybe you
- 7:59Speaker 6: don't need the speed as much on the early downs, don't.
- 8:02Speaker 1: I don't know what the answer is.
- 8:03Speaker 4: It's I would play him on third down because I
- 8:05Speaker 4: still think, you know, he has enough juice and enough
- 8:09Speaker 4: kind of savvy yeah to win, But like, you know,
- 8:14Speaker 4: playing him, you know, seventy eighty percent of the snaps
- 8:18Speaker 4: on a bad knee. It's just a thought maybe they could,
- 8:21Speaker 4: you know, give Ponder Jennings a little bit more opportunity
- 8:24Speaker 4: out there and maybe Swinston's active for the game, you know,
- 8:28Speaker 4: and and try to rotate that spot a little bit
- 8:31Speaker 4: more because but they need more out of both him
- 8:33Speaker 4: and Chase on than what they got against Buffalo. I mean,
- 8:36Speaker 4: those two guys were really shut down against the Bills.
- 8:39Speaker 2: So so Ryan and now Tucson has a couple questions.
- 8:43Speaker 2: The first one he says is simple, are you emotionally
- 8:47Speaker 2: prepared to lose this game on Sunday night? Why? Why not?
- 8:50Speaker 1: Yes?
- 8:51Speaker 4: Well, it's it's honestly not the end of the world
- 8:54Speaker 4: if they lose the game. Now it's terror. You don't
- 8:56Speaker 4: want to lose two games in a row and that
- 8:57Speaker 4: whole thing, But it's the division and like playoff seating,
- 9:02Speaker 4: it's really not the end of the world if they
- 9:03Speaker 4: lose the game on Sunday.
- 9:04Speaker 2: I don't know if I am I am? I actually,
- 9:07Speaker 2: I just like you said, two in a row. You know,
- 9:10Speaker 2: all of a sudden, we played the two good teams
- 9:13Speaker 2: and we end up losing both to both of them.
- 9:15Speaker 2: I don't know emotionally if that's good for me.
- 9:18Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean, I think leaning more into my historical
- 9:21Speaker 6: perspective on the Ravens and the respect that I've always
- 9:23Speaker 6: had for that team, whether it was Joe Flacco or
- 9:25Speaker 6: Lamar Jackson. I was telling Paul I went back and
- 9:27Speaker 6: looked at the last three games just to remember that
- 9:30Speaker 6: twenty nineteen game, the twenty twenty game with Cam Newton,
- 9:32Speaker 6: and then the mac Jones game was such an interesting
- 9:35Speaker 6: cross section of like the end of the Brady era,
- 9:38Speaker 6: that one twenty twenty year with Cam Newton, and then
- 9:40Speaker 6: you know the mac Jones offense in twenty twenty two,
- 9:43Speaker 6: and you know, just seeing kind of the different players
- 9:44Speaker 6: pop up and say to Paul, I'm like, God, we talked,
- 9:46Speaker 6: we spent we talk about these guys.
- 9:47Speaker 1: All the time.
- 9:48Speaker 6: And then you look back and I'm like, who is
- 9:49Speaker 6: that fifty three? Like I don't you know, the guys
- 9:52Speaker 6: have turned out enough to go back, But.
- 9:56Speaker 4: How relevance does that game?
- 9:58Speaker 7: Hatch?
- 10:00Speaker 3: I don't pick enough to go back and watch the
- 10:01Speaker 3: mac Jones games.
- 10:02Speaker 6: I would say, Lamar Jackson appreciation is what it is,
- 10:05Speaker 6: just you know, the player that he is and the
- 10:07Speaker 6: cross section he was really coming in.
- 10:10Speaker 1: No, they could they couldn't do anything, you know.
- 10:14Speaker 6: But yeah, that I mean, That's where I'm kind of
- 10:15Speaker 6: defaulting back to and I think the Ravens need this
- 10:18Speaker 6: game more. They're they're seven and seven. They're chasing the
- 10:21Speaker 6: Steelers right now. They're out of the playoff race right now.
- 10:24Speaker 3: That's why I'm emotionally prepared to lose. It's more about them. Yeah,
- 10:28Speaker 3: and Evan's right, it's if you had to. You don't
- 10:31Speaker 3: want to lose two in a row. You don't want
- 10:33Speaker 3: to lose any more games.
- 10:34Speaker 8: I haven't done it all year either.
- 10:35Speaker 3: Yeah, you don't want to lose. I'm not suggesting that, oh,
- 10:38Speaker 3: this is that you can take your foot off the gas.
- 10:40Speaker 3: Like back to the health of the team. I'm not
- 10:42Speaker 3: sitting anybody who can play because this game isn't vitally important.
- 10:47Speaker 3: I would worry with Spellane specifically. We go back to
- 10:51Speaker 3: the Giants game when he didn't play a ton late
- 10:54Speaker 3: in the game, and we all talked about in the
- 10:56Speaker 3: post game. We didn't know why it was weird. He's
- 10:58Speaker 3: always pretty much one hundred percent, and then that game
- 11:02Speaker 3: was much less. You get two weeks off and he's,
- 11:06Speaker 3: you know, dealing with a toe injury. You know, that
- 11:09Speaker 3: was what came up on the injury report last week.
- 11:12Speaker 3: Now it's ankle, Now it's his ankle and he's in
- 11:15Speaker 3: a boot traveling, and I'm wondering if you know Evan
- 11:19Speaker 3: threw something out And I actually asked Evan off the air,
- 11:22Speaker 3: so Mike, this is not tattling on air like you
- 11:26Speaker 3: did to me, just sort of throwing things out there.
- 11:29Speaker 3: Do you think that maybe you know, he did dress
- 11:31Speaker 3: out for the game, and we all kind of looked
- 11:35Speaker 3: at his emergency purposes. But I wonder if maybe going
- 11:38Speaker 3: through the pregame, and Evan said he did notice he
- 11:41Speaker 3: was really hobbled in pregame. I wonder if he aggravated
- 11:43Speaker 3: something or injured something in the pregame. And it's a
- 11:48Speaker 3: whole different problem which would be to me far more
- 11:51Speaker 3: significant going forward. If he could play, I would play him.
- 11:56Speaker 3: But I don't know if that's the case right now.
- 11:58Speaker 3: And I thought Mike re said just a little little
- 12:02Speaker 3: minor thing when he tweeted he was like the last
- 12:05Speaker 3: guy and is leaving and he says, lead them. You know,
- 12:09Speaker 3: he's got a boot on, he's not going out to practice.
- 12:11Speaker 3: It's like, you don't.
- 12:16Speaker 1: Like lead them, lead them, lead them?
- 12:19Speaker 3: He said to as to.
- 12:23Speaker 2: What's very dramatic, it is.
- 12:25Speaker 3: It is very dramatic, very dramatic, I really and I
- 12:28Speaker 3: agree with Mike. I don't expect to see spoiling play
- 12:31Speaker 3: this week. Now. Maybe it's completely different. We're going to practice,
- 12:35Speaker 3: he said, That's what I'm just Mike to me as one.
- 12:42Speaker 4: You know that I love Mike. He't I'm not saying
- 12:46Speaker 4: he made it up.
- 12:47Speaker 3: I just no, one didn't do it. I know that,
- 12:49Speaker 3: like this isn't brave heart.
- 12:51Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 12:52Speaker 9: Was it also dramatic because of like what has been
- 12:54Speaker 9: going through? Maybe maybe are we too far removed from that.
- 12:57Speaker 4: I'm just trying to clear.
- 13:00Speaker 3: Did not make it dramatic?
- 13:02Speaker 10: Not?
- 13:03Speaker 3: I mean, how else are you going to take that?
- 13:05Speaker 3: But Mike just said that Spolaine wasn't going out to practice.
- 13:09Speaker 3: He had the boot and as was leaving, he said
- 13:13Speaker 3: leave them. That's all that. But that's all Mike did
- 13:15Speaker 3: was just presented the facts. I think I sort of
- 13:19Speaker 3: presented it a little bit more dramatical.
- 13:21Speaker 2: Yeah, sure, like you like a bag of chips and
- 13:24Speaker 2: he meant to say leave them, leave the chips.
- 13:27Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 13:29Speaker 6: I mean that honestly feeds into something that I mean,
- 13:31Speaker 6: we said in that Bills game, maybe Spoleain could have
- 13:34Speaker 6: made a play, But I Also he's been the heartbeat
- 13:37Speaker 6: of that team in the middle.
- 13:37Speaker 1: I mean, he's just kind of the leader of that defense.
- 13:40Speaker 6: Is the first game they've had to play without him,
- 13:41Speaker 6: and I I think that is significant.
- 13:43Speaker 1: I think he is the leader.
- 13:44Speaker 6: And you know when I caught that from Mike, you know,
- 13:47Speaker 6: especially with Elis out of practice too, you know, they
- 13:49Speaker 6: need somebody to kind of step up. And I wonder
- 13:51Speaker 6: if that played into the fact they couldn't turn it around.
- 13:55Speaker 6: You know, they couldn't make a play, they couldn't stop
- 13:57Speaker 6: the bleeding. It just kept pouring and pouring until that.
- 13:59Speaker 2: You know, Paul, when you go on your shows, you
- 14:03Speaker 2: should you tell, you should say to like lead them,
- 14:07Speaker 2: you know, next.
- 14:08Speaker 3: Week before before I leave to go to my show,
- 14:13Speaker 3: that's gonna be my meme. This is your show.
- 14:17Speaker 2: That's a new meme. It was practice.
- 14:23Speaker 4: That's literally it was yesterday yesterday?
- 14:31Speaker 2: Is it even better Wednesday?
- 14:33Speaker 7: Practice?
- 14:34Speaker 1: I love heart of Players. That's great. You know, that's
- 14:37Speaker 1: totally on brand with him.
- 14:39Speaker 9: Intense explain Like I asked that man before we did
- 14:43Speaker 9: the pet adoption event at training camp, like just softball,
- 14:46Speaker 9: Like how fun is this to be? Having all these
- 14:48Speaker 9: puppies in an adoption event at practice, and he's like, yeah,
- 14:51Speaker 9: that's cool, but like I'm more excited about football, like
- 14:54Speaker 9: it was the most.
- 14:57Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah it was. That's him.
- 15:00Speaker 2: All right, Well that's that's a good one. Okay, what else?
- 15:04Speaker 2: What else do we have? I listen, I don't want
- 15:08Speaker 2: to beat the dead horse here, but all this talk
- 15:11Speaker 2: about who would you rather face in the playoffs, you're
- 15:14Speaker 2: one of your places. NBC Sports Boston had a poll
- 15:18Speaker 2: this morning. This is why I got triggered. You know,
- 15:22Speaker 2: which team would you least or most or at least one?
- 15:25Speaker 2: If I forget which, I think it's fans. We need
- 15:29Speaker 2: to push back.
- 15:30Speaker 1: On this stuff.
- 15:31Speaker 2: No, you need to put as fans.
- 15:33Speaker 3: It makes you I'm a fan, and I'm not pushing back.
- 15:35Speaker 2: Well, I'm telling you right now, I need It makes
- 15:40Speaker 2: a fan base look weak if that's what they're worried about.
- 15:44Speaker 2: Who should we or we shouldn't face? It makes you
- 15:46Speaker 2: look weak fans, So push back on it. Say we
- 15:49Speaker 2: don't care.
- 15:51Speaker 3: I want what's best for my media.
- 15:52Speaker 2: You talk about you care, don't drag us into your polls,
- 15:56Speaker 2: because we'll take whoever, whoever you know, whoever's our opponent.
- 16:01Speaker 3: That's who will be dramatic about that at all.
- 16:04Speaker 2: Lead them so like think like me, yeah, so you're
- 16:10Speaker 2: back on this type of discussion. We're not afraid of anybody.
- 16:14Speaker 1: Who do you want to face friends or not want
- 16:20Speaker 1: to face?
- 16:23Speaker 3: I had. This is so funny because I had this
- 16:26Speaker 3: exact conversation. Would Do says, we were going over to
- 16:28Speaker 3: the pro shop this morning, a very crowded passion.
- 16:31Speaker 6: By the way, if you're looking for rivalries gear, you
- 16:33Speaker 6: better get your butt down here.
- 16:37Speaker 1: Just god. But like, yeah, they were doing a rivalry refresh.
- 16:43Speaker 6: So if you've been shopping and you're just trying to
- 16:45Speaker 6: find rivalry gear, you know that it's not available anywhere.
- 16:49Speaker 1: So the rivalry refresh happened today. Paul and I were like, hey,
- 16:52Speaker 1: let's go over and see what they got. You know,
- 16:54Speaker 1: with this stuff, it's great for Christmas presence.
- 16:56Speaker 6: And the line was literally like we're walking and we
- 16:59Speaker 6: can see it all the way out to like that
- 17:01Speaker 6: new overhang structure that's like out by the parking lot,
- 17:04Speaker 6: and I'm.
- 17:05Speaker 2: Saying that's like forty forty fifty.
- 17:08Speaker 3: It was at least fifty. It was fifty plus people deep,
- 17:10Speaker 3: I mean easily.
- 17:11Speaker 1: And I said the palm like is that for the
- 17:12Speaker 1: pro shop?
- 17:13Speaker 6: And then lo and behold you come around the corner
- 17:15Speaker 6: all the way in we saw uh you know Ariel
- 17:18Speaker 6: down there who runs the Hall of Fame.
- 17:19Speaker 1: She said, no, they've been lined up since eight and
- 17:22Speaker 1: eight o'clock. People were winding up.
- 17:23Speaker 2: Yeah, this was the Wow.
- 17:26Speaker 9: Eight pm, so that happens to come early for like,
- 17:31Speaker 9: I'm wondering.
- 17:32Speaker 3: So Mike and I didn't get we.
- 17:35Speaker 1: Could have thrown our way, I don't know, just to
- 17:38Speaker 1: be clear, we were.
- 17:39Speaker 3: Offered there, but we did not.
- 17:41Speaker 8: Do it would be like flashing his badge.
- 17:48Speaker 6: You know here Now, me and Paul are like probably
- 17:50Speaker 6: the most humble people in the whole the rivalry.
- 17:52Speaker 2: Gere especially humble of you to say immediately after, you know,
- 17:58Speaker 2: during the game that we wore them. And you know,
- 18:01Speaker 2: the way Nike does it, it takes a while to
- 18:03Speaker 2: get more stuff. So I guess they finally got it today.
- 18:06Speaker 2: I'm wondering, and maybe some of our fans could confirm.
- 18:09Speaker 2: Does that mean that fanatics gout refreshed as well because
- 18:13Speaker 2: it wasn't available there?
- 18:14Speaker 1: Yeah, you know so online.
- 18:16Speaker 2: So for those people that don't live in the Foxborough vicinity,
- 18:20Speaker 2: maybe they'd like to go to Fanatics and check it
- 18:22Speaker 2: out and see if they've got a restock of our
- 18:25Speaker 2: rivalry gear.
- 18:25Speaker 8: I was able to get.
- 18:26Speaker 9: Well, this is probably different, but the rivalry RKK sneakers.
- 18:31Speaker 9: But Second Mark like stock exes. Technically is that a
- 18:34Speaker 9: second market?
- 18:35Speaker 10: What?
- 18:36Speaker 3: Yes?
- 18:36Speaker 1: Stock x yes, yes, going down? What's that?
- 18:41Speaker 8: It's a big online retailer of sneakers.
- 18:44Speaker 3: Okay, how they're going to need to see you after
- 18:47Speaker 3: the show.
- 18:50Speaker 8: So secondary market. I would buy it for Fanatics if
- 18:52Speaker 8: I could, or.
- 18:53Speaker 1: The pro show second black market. Secondary I got it
- 18:56Speaker 1: for my brother in law just like two weeks ago.
- 18:59Speaker 4: It's like when they have the like places in China,
- 19:01Speaker 4: they'll send you like knockoff pers.
- 19:03Speaker 1: Sure that great for that.
- 19:06Speaker 2: So if anyone, anyone can confirm or tell us whether
- 19:10Speaker 2: or not Fanatics has Patriots rivalry gear, let us know
- 19:14Speaker 2: and we'll get the word out so people can rush
- 19:16Speaker 2: to their internet.
- 19:18Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, for sure. Now it's in demand. It's the
- 19:21Speaker 6: hot item. I mean even going to my wife's Christmas
- 19:23Speaker 6: party last week, people are like, where can I get stuff?
- 19:25Speaker 6: So it's way to Jiana I because I knew that
- 19:29Speaker 6: Lyndon had already told me that, like.
- 19:30Speaker 1: A bunch of people would like hit her up of like,
- 19:31Speaker 1: do you know where it could get?
- 19:32Speaker 2: So I was like, I should probably you know, with
- 19:34Speaker 2: the jacket.
- 19:35Speaker 3: Oh yeah, no, I don't know.
- 19:36Speaker 2: I'm sorry.
- 19:36Speaker 11: I left.
- 19:38Speaker 3: Just got there's number one of those humility exercises by you.
- 19:42Speaker 1: I don't know, just demonstrating my dominance and being humble.
- 19:46Speaker 4: A lot of the fanatics gear says almost gone underneath it.
- 19:49Speaker 2: So but wait, so there is some stuff there is.
- 19:52Speaker 4: There's a couple of the weather jerseys left, but they
- 19:55Speaker 4: all say almost going.
- 19:56Speaker 8: There's no apparel.
- 19:57Speaker 2: What no apparel?
- 19:59Speaker 8: Sweat shirts?
- 20:00Speaker 2: I don't the bomber jacket.
- 20:01Speaker 9: All I see is T shirts. But it's not even
- 20:05Speaker 9: the Rivalry blue. They're gray, but it's still technically part
- 20:08Speaker 9: of the same line.
- 20:08Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 20:09Speaker 6: That's what Ariel told us this morning, was that they
- 20:11Speaker 6: have stuff that isn't it's it's just kind of the
- 20:13Speaker 6: n E logo.
- 20:14Speaker 1: It's not actually right. So, I mean, there, it's almost rivalry.
- 20:17Speaker 2: I want the authentic stuff.
- 20:19Speaker 4: What will you get.
- 20:25Speaker 3: A lot of people ask me for one of those.
- 20:26Speaker 2: I'm sorry, I'm sorry. We just got an email about
- 20:30Speaker 2: talking overreach.
- 20:30Speaker 9: That's why I said the talking stick. We got a
- 20:33Speaker 9: talking stick, Well, do.
- 20:35Speaker 2: We have to do that? I mean, I might, I
- 20:37Speaker 2: might resort to that. No, you can't hear. You literally
- 20:42Speaker 2: can't hear.
- 20:43Speaker 3: You know what all the experts say, the experts. I
- 20:48Speaker 3: apologize sixteen times. I'm sorry. You know, I'm just talking
- 20:51Speaker 3: what fans are saying. If you want to call them experts.
- 20:54Speaker 2: Great. Now, Paul's upset.
- 20:58Speaker 3: Say what you were going to say in school?
- 21:01Speaker 2: I forgot what I was going to say. Now.
- 21:03Speaker 3: I forgot more about radio than when people leave.
- 21:08Speaker 6: Well, I was gonna say, Fred, the shirt you're wearing
- 21:10Speaker 6: now looks kind of rivalry blueish, and and I've noticed
- 21:14Speaker 6: in the locker room and generally around the area that
- 21:16Speaker 6: I've seen more of that kind of blue around.
- 21:18Speaker 1: So I think it's it started a little bit of.
- 21:20Speaker 8: A recency bias.
- 21:21Speaker 2: Maybe, Yeah, Curtis and Saint Louis says, fanatics says nothing. Nothing,
- 21:26Speaker 2: that's that's that's stinks. Come on, Michael, I wonder if
- 21:29Speaker 2: they ordered more stuff, because we're going to get it
- 21:31Speaker 2: talking to you went through the steps of trying to
- 21:34Speaker 2: get more stuff, and it was that much of a
- 21:36Speaker 2: delay between then and now.
- 21:37Speaker 8: Ye did they just get totally blown away.
- 21:39Speaker 2: With the they we didn't order enough.
- 21:42Speaker 8: They're creating the hype then, well yeah, kind of a
- 21:44Speaker 8: smart business.
- 21:45Speaker 2: This is like, you know, creating the demand exactly.
- 21:48Speaker 6: I mean the line, I felt like we should have
- 21:50Speaker 6: been out there like that video where it's like fast
- 21:53Speaker 6: sped up motion of like, I just love all.
- 21:55Speaker 9: The people that hated them at first, and they could
- 21:57Speaker 9: have got them right away, and now they love them
- 21:59Speaker 9: and they can't get any of it.
- 22:00Speaker 8: It's just all injected into my veins.
- 22:02Speaker 2: Yeah, but I I liked it from the moment I
- 22:06Speaker 2: saw it. I thought it was just soiled, distinct and
- 22:09Speaker 2: different and like it wasn't like Neon or you know,
- 22:13Speaker 2: in your face. I think it really represents New England's
- 22:17Speaker 2: yeah crumb ship. Yeah Jay and Indy says, I don't
- 22:20Speaker 2: care who we play in the playoffs. If you want
- 22:22Speaker 2: to be the best, you have to beat the best.
- 22:24Speaker 2: If we are one and done, then we must not
- 22:26Speaker 2: be good enough. That's how I feel.
- 22:29Speaker 3: That's how I don't mind.
- 22:31Speaker 4: The opponent thing is whatever, But the whole take now
- 22:34Speaker 4: that they'd be better off as a wild card team,
- 22:37Speaker 4: that one bugs me.
- 22:38Speaker 2: Oh I haven't heard that one.
- 22:40Speaker 4: Yeah, now, now it would be they'd be better off
- 22:43Speaker 4: losing the division and being the wild card team. I
- 22:46Speaker 4: assume thinking that they would be the five seed going
- 22:49Speaker 4: to Pittsburgh, and so that would be Pittsburgh is technically
- 22:54Speaker 4: the weakest team in the in the playoffs and so
- 22:57Speaker 4: but like to me, it's like, there's that's just totally
- 23:01Speaker 4: flawed logic, Like it's just a loser mentality, Like you
- 23:05Speaker 4: want to win the division, you want to host a
- 23:07Speaker 4: home playoff game. If you're the number two seed, then
- 23:10Speaker 4: you could host the home the wildcard round, the divisional round,
- 23:13Speaker 4: and if Denver loses, then the AFC Championship game. Right, So, like,
- 23:17Speaker 4: why wouldn't you want that? You want to go on
- 23:19Speaker 4: the road three straight times to try to get to
- 23:20Speaker 4: the super Bowl?
- 23:22Speaker 3: What do you want?
- 23:23Speaker 2: No, he's saying, if you're in to the number two seed.
- 23:26Speaker 3: Do you want something?
- 23:27Speaker 4: Do I want something?
- 23:28Speaker 3: Like?
- 23:28Speaker 4: Who do I want to play?
- 23:29Speaker 3: Yeah? That's interesting. I agree with you everything you said.
- 23:33Speaker 3: Just why you think about these things? Yeah, I just
- 23:35Speaker 3: I'd rather the Buffalo and Denver have to play before
- 23:37Speaker 3: I have to play either one of them.
- 23:39Speaker 4: Right, I just don't understand the whole I'd rather be
- 23:42Speaker 4: all be and it all stems from Houston, Like everybody's
- 23:46Speaker 4: so terrified of the Texans, and right now is it
- 23:49Speaker 4: currently sits two seven is Patriots Texans, And so everyone
- 23:53Speaker 4: now is saying it would be better if they were
- 23:55Speaker 4: actually a wildcard team so that they could avoid the Texans,
- 23:59Speaker 4: which I think is like all sorts.
- 24:01Speaker 8: Of great defenses all year, it's short sighted.
- 24:09Speaker 4: So you're going to lose on purpose so that you
- 24:10Speaker 4: can get Denver or get that and get lucky.
- 24:14Speaker 2: You're eventually going to play Texans, so then you're going
- 24:16Speaker 2: to lose eventually. So I don't know, I just it
- 24:20Speaker 2: just I don't like that the narrative. I don't like
- 24:22Speaker 2: the discussion. It's to me, it's a waste of time.
- 24:26Speaker 4: I agree with the discussion of like it's fun to
- 24:30Speaker 4: break down which teams would present the biggest challenges. I
- 24:32Speaker 4: think that's but the whole lose to get the wild
- 24:36Speaker 4: card instead of the division spot, to me is just
- 24:40Speaker 4: as now.
- 24:40Speaker 2: I like the discussion how do we get all home games?
- 24:43Speaker 2: To me, that's a whole different thing, Like you know,
- 24:46Speaker 2: how would we as the number two seed possibly get
- 24:51Speaker 2: an AFC championship here?
- 24:53Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 24:53Speaker 1: You know, yeah, well you know what intrigues me a
- 24:55Speaker 1: little bit.
- 24:55Speaker 6: I might be alone on this, but like I like
- 24:57Speaker 6: historical matchups, like repeat of historical match up things that
- 25:00Speaker 6: you can connect.
- 25:01Speaker 1: So, you know, I like to the Bills.
- 25:03Speaker 6: That would be really exciting to me to you know,
- 25:04Speaker 6: get to see those guys a third time. And you know,
- 25:07Speaker 6: like especially imagine the AFC Championships here against the Bills,
- 25:10Speaker 6: you know, and.
- 25:11Speaker 1: They need to go through you. Like I would be
- 25:13Speaker 1: like that where it's like, you know, and nothing to
- 25:16Speaker 1: do with the teams.
- 25:17Speaker 6: But you know, I know they played Jacksonville and Houston
- 25:19Speaker 6: in the playoffs, but I don't know, I just it's
- 25:21Speaker 6: hard to get up, but like I would get up
- 25:23Speaker 6: for like going to Denver, like you've seen.
- 25:25Speaker 2: Those playoffs, you know, Like let's just say the Patriots
- 25:29Speaker 2: played the Bills in the AFC Championship game. What would
- 25:32Speaker 2: be the more intense feeling beating them or losing to them?
- 25:39Speaker 4: I think is more intense feeling losing than winning to
- 25:43Speaker 4: me as a relief.
- 25:46Speaker 2: Be better than the despair.
- 25:49Speaker 9: Uh you know.
- 25:50Speaker 6: I I want to say yes, but I always just
- 25:52Speaker 6: feel like generally the losses just kind of eat away
- 25:55Speaker 6: at you, and winning, like I don't know what e said, like,
- 25:57Speaker 6: just check the box like good one, forget about it,
- 25:59Speaker 6: moving on, like it's not like I bask in the
- 26:02Speaker 6: glory of So we beat.
- 26:04Speaker 8: Them here after everything we've been through the last couple
- 26:07Speaker 8: of years.
- 26:07Speaker 6: No, yes, you didn't even win a super Bowl.
- 26:15Speaker 2: Okay, this particular year. If you knock off the Bills
- 26:18Speaker 2: to go to the Super Bowl.
- 26:20Speaker 8: That's poetic.
- 26:21Speaker 2: That's better for me than losing to them, because who
- 26:24Speaker 2: thought we were supposed to even be there?
- 26:26Speaker 4: Who would have thought?
- 26:27Speaker 2: And now we're nipping at their heels, we'll get them
- 26:29Speaker 2: next to you.
- 26:30Speaker 6: Oh, I mean that the tears would be funny because
- 26:33Speaker 6: I've been saying it along like this should be Buffalo's year.
- 26:35Speaker 6: If I'm Buffalo, I'm like looking at the lot in
- 26:37Speaker 6: the at the field saying, who can't we beat?
- 26:39Speaker 1: You know, we got the best quarterbacks lose.
- 26:41Speaker 4: To the Patriots in the AFC Championship game, and that's
- 26:44Speaker 4: an abject disaster for.
- 26:45Speaker 2: Buffalo or the more reason like the elations.
- 26:49Speaker 4: Better absolute failure Like you were you were a lap
- 26:54Speaker 4: ahead of the Patriots, and the Patriots somehow caught you
- 26:57Speaker 4: and then knocked you out of the playoffs. That would
- 26:58Speaker 4: be mcdermom wouldnt like that would be an absolute abject
- 27:03Speaker 4: disaster if that were to happen.
- 27:05Speaker 6: Do you think it'd be the same if they went
- 27:06Speaker 6: to the Broncos and lost the Buffalo I mean, is
- 27:09Speaker 6: it super Bowl or bust this year for the McDermott regime,
- 27:12Speaker 6: or do you think they'll have some grace if they don't.
- 27:15Speaker 4: I think it's different if you if you lose to
- 27:17Speaker 4: the Patriots, because they hate the Patriots, like it hurts.
- 27:21Speaker 8: More, but it's still like, this is your chance, this
- 27:23Speaker 8: is your window.
- 27:25Speaker 4: Yeah, but I think Nicks, I think it's different. I
- 27:28Speaker 4: think the Patriots being a division of rival and the
- 27:31Speaker 4: way they feel about the Patriots there in Buffalo, I
- 27:34Speaker 4: think that losing to the Patriots in the playoffs would
- 27:36Speaker 4: be that would be def con one.
- 27:39Speaker 2: Yeah, Okay, let's make it happen, all.
- 27:42Speaker 4: Right, them my friends in the mafia tell me.
- 27:46Speaker 2: The Bill's mafia, Yeah, Brian writes in.
- 27:50Speaker 4: Friends in the Mafia, Evan running around with.
- 27:53Speaker 2: Paul is indicated in the past that he doesn't use
- 27:55Speaker 2: nicknames for the people he's covering because he feels uncomfortable
- 27:58Speaker 2: since he's not their friend. Therefore, I was hardened to
- 28:01Speaker 2: hear Paul refer to John Stryker several times last week
- 28:04Speaker 2: is stretch. I can only conclude that Paul has struck
- 28:07Speaker 2: up a friendship with Striker. I wonder if there is
- 28:10Speaker 2: a good meet cute story he can share with us.
- 28:13Speaker 2: I also wonder if coach Rabel ever joins them when
- 28:15Speaker 2: they're hanging out. Who knows, maybe we'll be hearing references
- 28:19Speaker 2: to Raves in the near future.
- 28:22Speaker 1: Is funny.
- 28:23Speaker 3: I never met him, never met Striker?
- 28:26Speaker 4: You've never met him?
- 28:27Speaker 1: No, I only met him briefly at the combine. I
- 28:30Speaker 1: talked him, not even hither.
- 28:33Speaker 3: Yeah, there's another tall guy.
- 28:35Speaker 8: He's around all the time.
- 28:37Speaker 6: I mean, I've never been honest, I haven't seen I
- 28:39Speaker 6: wonder locker room sometimes.
- 28:40Speaker 2: But so, but you're comfortable calling him Stretch.
- 28:44Speaker 6: I probably just made a mistake, everybody, But that's kind
- 28:48Speaker 6: of his name.
- 28:49Speaker 3: Yeah, No, I probably made a mistake. I do. He's right.
- 28:52Speaker 3: That email is one hundred percent right.
- 28:53Speaker 4: I think it's a different situation.
- 28:55Speaker 3: This isn't like when I don't know the guy, I
- 28:56Speaker 3: don't generally call him by their nicknames.
- 28:59Speaker 2: But I don't know.
- 28:59Speaker 9: He knew his name was Stretched before we knew what
- 29:01Speaker 9: his actual name is like, he's very widely referred to
- 29:05Speaker 9: across the entire organization here as stretch.
- 29:08Speaker 3: Yeah. I think there was Mario Douglas.
- 29:10Speaker 2: I called him too, and I don't you don't call
- 29:13Speaker 2: him pop.
- 29:13Speaker 3: No, until he came in and we kind of talked,
- 29:16Speaker 3: and he said that was the because he was already
- 29:18Speaker 3: he goes. Everybody calls me pop. So I've been calling
- 29:20Speaker 3: him pop a little bit more often, but generally I
- 29:23Speaker 3: call him to Mario. It's like, don't really.
- 29:27Speaker 2: Talking about talking about pop.
- 29:29Speaker 4: Now we know him all that well, play pop more.
- 29:35Speaker 2: When we used to have the paper, I heard that,
- 29:37Speaker 2: thank you. When we used to have the paper, I
- 29:39Speaker 2: banned the writers from calling Parcels the big tuna or
- 29:42Speaker 2: Tuna smart.
- 29:43Speaker 3: That's because he didn't like him.
- 29:45Speaker 2: No, that's that's absolutely not true.
- 29:50Speaker 1: But but he doesn't like it, doesn't Well.
- 29:52Speaker 2: No one calls him that to his face, you know,
- 29:56Speaker 2: So I didn't think that we should in the paper smart.
- 29:59Speaker 4: That's fair. I wouldn't call like Vrabes in an article.
- 30:02Speaker 4: I wouldn't write it that way.
- 30:04Speaker 3: It's just on professional people are asking questions of the players,
- 30:06Speaker 3: like we heard Rapes say earlier, that kind.
- 30:09Speaker 8: Of yeah, if you're not a player, I don't think
- 30:13Speaker 8: you should say rabes, rapes.
- 30:17Speaker 2: Let's see, uh, Klaus Herbert from Austria writes and first
- 30:22Speaker 2: time writer Justin and Patriots fan. Since the terrible loss
- 30:25Speaker 2: of Super Bowl what is that forty two? Yeah? Yeah.
- 30:32Speaker 2: In the beginning of the season, Evan especially was leaning
- 30:35Speaker 2: towards hiring Ben Johnson rather than Vrabel as a head coach.
- 30:38Speaker 2: What's your opinion today close to the end of the preseason, Uh,
- 30:43Speaker 2: I think he made regular seats. Would some of you
- 30:44Speaker 2: think that Johnson might have been a better fit for
- 30:47Speaker 2: the Patriots than Vrabel?
- 30:52Speaker 4: They've both done great, so it's kind of hard to say, honestly.
- 30:55Speaker 4: I mean, I I think I underestimated how uh much
- 31:01Speaker 4: of a football mind Mike Rabel was until I covered
- 31:05Speaker 4: him and you got to be around it a little
- 31:07Speaker 4: bit closer. Even going back to uh his introductory press conference,
- 31:11Speaker 4: when he came in here and was talking, you know,
- 31:14Speaker 4: a little ball with us and stuff like that. I
- 31:16Speaker 4: didn't realize that he had that type of acumen. I
- 31:21Speaker 4: thought he was more of like a raw rock coach,
- 31:23Speaker 4: you know, a guy that was going to come in
- 31:24Speaker 4: and set the culture and get the troops all rallied up.
- 31:28Speaker 4: But I think he's a brilliant football mind and probably
- 31:31Speaker 4: underrated that a little bit with the Ben Johnson things.
- 31:35Speaker 4: So I think they kind of got They obviously got
- 31:38Speaker 4: the right guy, but I think that they you know,
- 31:40Speaker 4: I think, yeah, but Ben Johnson's really been a really
- 31:45Speaker 4: good coach for Chicago.
- 31:46Speaker 3: Also, Now, what's.
- 31:47Speaker 8: Their culture been like there?
- 31:48Speaker 9: Like, has it been as drastic he had such a
- 31:50Speaker 9: drastic turnaround here?
- 31:52Speaker 4: Yeah, it's a good question. I mean, they're they're his
- 31:56Speaker 4: chops are obviously with designing offense and nex'es and o's
- 31:59Speaker 4: and I I don't know what their culture is, you know,
- 32:02Speaker 4: I'm not there, but I think that it's It's hard
- 32:05Speaker 4: to say because they've both done really, really well.
- 32:07Speaker 2: I think I think that if everything was reversed, if
- 32:11Speaker 2: Rabel went to Chicago and Ben Johnson came here, Rabel
- 32:14Speaker 2: would have to bring a strong offensive coordinator with him,
- 32:17Speaker 2: because you've got that young quarterback that you're gonna have,
- 32:20Speaker 2: and I don't know if that's the type of coach
- 32:21Speaker 2: Rabel is. And if Ben Johnson came here, you wouldn't
- 32:25Speaker 2: need such a strong offensive coordinator, but maybe you'd need
- 32:28Speaker 2: a stronger defensive coordinator.
- 32:30Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, And I think that that's really you know
- 32:33Speaker 4: why McDaniels has just been such a key hire for Rabel's, right.
- 32:38Speaker 4: You know, they kind of had the best of both worlds.
- 32:40Speaker 4: They got a type pans guy and they got you know,
- 32:43Speaker 4: the head coach that can lead the troops. And you know,
- 32:46Speaker 4: I think that that's that's really good. But like I said,
- 32:49Speaker 4: I I think I didn't you know, I didn't cover
- 32:52Speaker 4: him when he was with the Titans, so I didn't
- 32:54Speaker 4: really know, you know, that in depth of what kind
- 32:58Speaker 4: of football mind he is. But like even I think,
- 33:01Speaker 4: you know, maybe not necessarily like offense scheming like Ben Johnson,
- 33:05Speaker 4: but like technique things like you know, stances and getting
- 33:10Speaker 4: off the ball and you know, different sort of things
- 33:13Speaker 4: like that that he is out there in practice and
- 33:16Speaker 4: we you know, watched a little bit of practice that
- 33:18Speaker 4: we get to watch it for Abel's like out there
- 33:20Speaker 4: like in a pass set, like showing guys stuff, and
- 33:23Speaker 4: he's out on the special teams field showing them things
- 33:25Speaker 4: and you know, he did it, he lived it. So
- 33:28Speaker 4: I think that that element of him is much much
- 33:31Speaker 4: better than I thought, much more like Belichickian than I realized.
- 33:35Speaker 6: It's a nice It's in a good package too, Like
- 33:37Speaker 6: I find when he shares football knowledge, never it's never overbearing.
- 33:40Speaker 6: It doesn't he never gets into the weeds. I think
- 33:42Speaker 6: he just does enough to, you know, subtly show you
- 33:45Speaker 6: how much he knows.
- 33:46Speaker 1: Like that.
- 33:46Speaker 6: I've been surprised by it too, where he's able to
- 33:49Speaker 6: talk about a lot of different positions with you know,
- 33:51Speaker 6: with intelligence and experience.
- 33:52Speaker 1: So I mean, I don't know. I love Mike Frabel,
- 33:54Speaker 1: I wouldn't pick any other coach right now. But but
- 33:58Speaker 1: Ben Johnson's done a great job.
- 33:59Speaker 6: There is still part of me that wonders, like, is
- 34:01Speaker 6: this always going to mesh well with him and Caleb
- 34:03Speaker 6: Williams because they're just they're both unique dudes. I mean,
- 34:05Speaker 6: you know, they both seem a little bit quirky. But
- 34:08Speaker 6: big game for them this weekend against Green Bay and
- 34:10Speaker 6: no chance for them to really cement their arrival.
- 34:14Speaker 2: Zach writes in with all the talk about how easy
- 34:17Speaker 2: our schedule is, I know it's making me a bit jaded.
- 34:20Speaker 2: I actually want to face the hardest possible lineup in
- 34:23Speaker 2: the playoffs to silence all the haters. Houston and the
- 34:26Speaker 2: wildcard rematch against Buffalo in the divisional round, Broncos in
- 34:29Speaker 2: the AFC Championship game. Lastly a win over the Rams
- 34:33Speaker 2: of the Super Bowl to get our seventh ring. The
- 34:35Speaker 2: media and fans with this loser mentality needs to stop.
- 34:39Speaker 1: I like it. That's quite a path though, man, I mean,
- 34:41Speaker 1: you beat those three teams.
- 34:42Speaker 6: That's carnage, that's I mean, that's not quite the same
- 34:46Speaker 6: as when the early dynasty. But when you're beating MVP,
- 34:49Speaker 6: you're beating an MVP in the divisional round, then you
- 34:51Speaker 6: got to beat another MVP in the conference championship round.
- 34:54Speaker 6: You know, back in those days when it was when
- 34:55Speaker 6: it was really hard. Those are memorable games too that
- 34:58Speaker 6: you know, the ones against like Houston and Jacksonville kind
- 35:00Speaker 6: of faded memory.
- 35:01Speaker 4: You know, it doesn't matter. Just like Paul Shows will
- 35:06Speaker 4: tell you that the twenty twenty four Celtics had an
- 35:08Speaker 4: easy path and that somehow puts an asterisk on the title.
- 35:12Speaker 4: I did not celebrate that any lesson I would have
- 35:14Speaker 4: any other championship. Like if they win a Super Bowl,
- 35:18Speaker 4: you're not going to care who was in the way.
- 35:21Speaker 4: You're gonna celebrated like they want a title no matter what.
- 35:23Speaker 3: Now it only matter if they don't win. Sure, I mean,
- 35:27Speaker 3: if they win, who no one cares who they beat.
- 35:30Speaker 3: But if they don't win, you'd say, she's if only
- 35:33Speaker 3: you know, Like like when I was in New Orleans
- 35:35Speaker 3: in ninety six watching the Super Bowl the first time
- 35:38Speaker 3: I went, I never once thought she's we're here, But
- 35:42Speaker 3: she's pretty lucky that Jacksonville beat Denver for it, right right?
- 35:46Speaker 12: You know?
- 35:47Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, if you're the last two standing, you're
- 35:50Speaker 2: the last two standing.
- 35:51Speaker 3: But if they lost to Denver, that would be like, jeez,
- 35:54Speaker 3: it's too bad. Jacksonville had them on the ropes last
- 35:56Speaker 3: week too. We would have beaten Jacksonville, just like when
- 35:59Speaker 3: the Patriots Indy and six. I know they would have
- 36:02Speaker 3: beaten Chicago in the Super Bowl, but they didn't get there. Right, yeah, right,
- 36:05Speaker 3: it's too bad?
- 36:07Speaker 2: All right? Eight five five patch five hundred is the
- 36:10Speaker 2: hot line. Let's see what people have to say. Who
- 36:12Speaker 2: are calling, will go to herm in DC. What's up herm? Hey?
- 36:17Speaker 5: How's it going? Fellows and ladies? Of course?
- 36:19Speaker 1: Hey?
- 36:20Speaker 2: Doing?
- 36:21Speaker 5: Okay, A quick question. I feel like there's been a
- 36:25Speaker 5: little bit of criticism surrounding Christian Zalees, and I wanted
- 36:30Speaker 5: to find out for you guys what exactly the issue is,
- 36:32Speaker 5: because I just looked it up. I think he played
- 36:36Speaker 5: six hundred and thirty seven snaps this year, and I
- 36:40Speaker 5: think he only gave it one score, so and I
- 36:43Speaker 5: believe it was maybe be palled. Yes, they cart me
- 36:45Speaker 5: if I'm wrong, that, matter of fact, might have been
- 36:48Speaker 5: on the day they lost to the Bills, had a
- 36:50Speaker 5: little bit of a criticism for Christian that his guy was,
- 36:54Speaker 5: I guess uncovered a lot that game. Yeah, so I
- 36:58Speaker 5: guess over My question is one, what's critiqueous around in
- 37:03Speaker 5: Christian Gonzalas And then the second question after you guys
- 37:05Speaker 5: was I'm not sure Obviously you guys as much guilty
- 37:10Speaker 5: of it, to be honest with you, So it's not
- 37:12Speaker 5: really directed towards you guys. But why the how can
- 37:17Speaker 5: I put this? The I guess thirst to separate, not
- 37:24Speaker 5: separate might be strong, but to create some kind of
- 37:27Speaker 5: division between coach McDaniels or coach Brabel, right, because I
- 37:31Speaker 5: think we have to be careful when we do that,
- 37:34Speaker 5: because Eric the enemy left Kansas City and look how
- 37:37Speaker 5: Patrick Mahomes is looking right now, and then.
- 37:40Speaker 3: Kelly warr the Eagles.
- 37:45Speaker 5: And look how killing Hurt is looking right now, right,
- 37:48Speaker 5: no questions.
- 37:50Speaker 2: I get your bigger point is, you know you don't
- 37:54Speaker 2: want h Drake May to get into that OC cell
- 38:00Speaker 2: that happens to a lot of teams. You want some
- 38:03Speaker 2: continuity there, you know. So, But the whole thing is
- 38:08Speaker 2: the premise is their division between Mike Rabel and Josh McDaniels.
- 38:13Speaker 2: That that's what people are trying to drum up. But
- 38:16Speaker 2: I don't think it's true.
- 38:18Speaker 1: I mean, yeah, I don't I don't know. I don't know.
- 38:20Speaker 6: All I look at this is the proof and the pudding,
- 38:22Speaker 6: and I mean I think it would look. I think
- 38:25Speaker 6: they've done a good job though, building that staff and
- 38:27Speaker 6: you know, not just Thomas Brown and Ashton Grant, like
- 38:30Speaker 6: you know, two guys behind Josh that it feels like
- 38:33Speaker 6: they're trying to build back to what Bill had here
- 38:35Speaker 6: when you did lose guys that you have people you
- 38:38Speaker 6: know built in.
- 38:39Speaker 1: But I just I don't know where Josh is gonna go.
- 38:41Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 38:42Speaker 6: It would be a really if there was division and
- 38:44Speaker 6: Mike Rebel didn't like him and wasn't happy with the
- 38:46Speaker 6: performance this year, it would take some major cajones to
- 38:48Speaker 6: fire a guy. That's basically put Drake May into the
- 38:51Speaker 6: MVP conversation. But hey, people love the soap opera and
- 38:56Speaker 6: that's part of following football.
- 38:57Speaker 2: Oh my god.
- 38:58Speaker 4: Yeah, there's definitely the soap operating to the Gonzales thing,
- 39:01Speaker 4: because I feel like that was directed towards me because
- 39:03Speaker 4: I've been kind of critical.
- 39:05Speaker 1: I think a little bit.
- 39:06Speaker 4: I think that where it stems from with Gonzales is
- 39:10Speaker 4: that I think he's a phenomenal player. And I've been
- 39:12Speaker 4: a Christian Gonzalez guy since the beginning. Uh Douce and
- 39:16Speaker 4: I had him a number one on our big boards
- 39:18Speaker 4: when they drafted him that year. Both of us did.
- 39:20Speaker 4: So I know that he's what he's capable the level
- 39:23Speaker 4: he is capable of playing at, which what I think
- 39:27Speaker 4: we saw last year was, you know, pretty close to
- 39:29Speaker 4: that ceiling. And I just don't think he's been quite
- 39:32Speaker 4: as good this season. Now, he didn't have a training camp,
- 39:35Speaker 4: he's had this hamstring thing, Like is it lingering? Is
- 39:38Speaker 4: that all sort of at play here? Absolutely could be
- 39:41Speaker 4: the case. But I would also say that I think
- 39:45Speaker 4: the great great corners make plays on the ball. They
- 39:50Speaker 4: don't just run with one guy and take the guy
- 39:53Speaker 4: out of the game. They're also turning the ball over,
- 39:56Speaker 4: they're making big plays on third down. You know, they're
- 39:59Speaker 4: making plays, are impactful plays in the game. It's great
- 40:02Speaker 4: that he can cover any receiver in football and he
- 40:05Speaker 4: can stick with that guy in man to man for
- 40:07Speaker 4: four quarters. That's a really valuable thing to have. But
- 40:10Speaker 4: I think to get to that next level, you'd like
- 40:12Speaker 4: to see him make some more plays on the football.
- 40:14Speaker 6: Yeah, like he did in the first Buffalo game, which
- 40:16Speaker 6: you know is an example of earlier in the season
- 40:17Speaker 6: when he did do that. But I don't think we've
- 40:19Speaker 6: seen it lately, and it hasn't been a murderer's row
- 40:22Speaker 6: of receivers that he's.
- 40:23Speaker 1: Been going up against.
- 40:24Speaker 6: And you know, I tie it to what Vrabel said
- 40:26Speaker 6: in these games, you need your best players to play
- 40:28Speaker 6: the best and he wasn't called on a lot, but
- 40:31Speaker 6: watch sitting in the press box. You know, we had
- 40:34Speaker 6: a little different view of it, and you can see
- 40:36Speaker 6: when guys are running away from him and getting open
- 40:38Speaker 6: and then you know, dropping passes or the pass was
- 40:40Speaker 6: too late and he bobbled it out of bound. So
- 40:41Speaker 6: you know, there were a few instances of that where
- 40:44Speaker 6: you know your your best player isn't isn't making plays,
- 40:46Speaker 6: and isn't doing anything to turn the momentum around.
- 40:48Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, we have an update about rivalry stuff. Oh
- 40:54Speaker 2: Josh and Turner Falls says that Dix has some stuff online.
- 40:58Speaker 2: Going to get a jacket as I already have a
- 41:00Speaker 2: jersey incoming, nice, so get online to Dick's Sporting Goods
- 41:05Speaker 2: and maybe he can get some stuff there.
- 41:07Speaker 6: I'd like to see the numbers for Drake jerseys that
- 41:10Speaker 6: they've sold to that thing, because I've seen everywhere and
- 41:14Speaker 6: he's number one in Pro Bowl voting, Like.
- 41:16Speaker 1: I imagine that those have sold like hotcakes.
- 41:19Speaker 2: Let's go to Alex in San Diego. What's up, Alex?
- 41:24Speaker 13: Hey, guys, what's up?
- 41:25Speaker 11: Happy holidays?
- 41:26Speaker 3: Do you all?
- 41:26Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 41:27Speaker 3: Thanks?
- 41:28Speaker 1: Alex Hey.
- 41:30Speaker 13: I just kind of my friend brings this up to
- 41:32Speaker 13: me the other day and I was like, I didn't
- 41:33Speaker 13: even realize he was a free agent. I know we
- 41:36Speaker 13: are super thin, but thoughts on a potential Matthew Jude
- 41:40Speaker 13: on reunion. I love what he did for us. The
- 41:42Speaker 13: guy was a beast, but I know he hasn't been
- 41:44Speaker 13: the same players since leaving, and I just feel like
- 41:47Speaker 13: this would kind of be like a James Harrison type
- 41:49Speaker 13: of signing in like twenty seventeen. But yeah, just your
- 41:52Speaker 13: guys thoughts on that.
- 41:53Speaker 6: Yeah, I think he's Yeah, I don't think he's quite
- 41:56Speaker 6: the player he was. I just don't know if he's
- 41:58Speaker 6: like better than Anthony Jennings right now? Is what you
- 42:00Speaker 6: would need for him? If you could tell me that
- 42:02Speaker 6: he could come on and be a third down pass
- 42:03Speaker 6: rusher and have some juice off of the edge, I
- 42:05Speaker 6: would be interested.
- 42:06Speaker 1: I don't know if it's that player anymore.
- 42:08Speaker 2: Is it true that he was literally the lowest ranked
- 42:11Speaker 2: edge rusher in the league.
- 42:13Speaker 4: Yeah, he has seven total quarterback pressures on the season,
- 42:16Speaker 4: and he's been playing a decent amount for the Dolphins.
- 42:20Speaker 4: It I just I don't really understand, Like I get
- 42:23Speaker 4: it's a recognizable name, but you also have to remember
- 42:26Speaker 4: on top of the fact that Judan is probably two
- 42:29Speaker 4: years removed from being what he was, Like it's a
- 42:33Speaker 4: totally different regime and defense like this is you know,
- 42:36Speaker 4: this isn't like Bill's still here and this is one
- 42:39Speaker 4: of the guys that he had a connection with and
- 42:41Speaker 4: is bringing back. So I just don't really from all angles, Like,
- 42:44Speaker 4: I don't really see like what Vrables tied to Judon
- 42:47Speaker 4: would be. You know what, Judon's production has been really
- 42:51Speaker 4: the last two seasons, And like Elliot, Wolf deserves some
- 42:54Speaker 4: credit for getting a third round pick for him, because yeah,
- 42:57Speaker 4: because the guy's completely fallen off a cliff since the
- 43:00Speaker 4: Patriots traded up.
- 43:02Speaker 2: Before the game.
- 43:03Speaker 4: He was a great player for the pando but yeah,
- 43:06Speaker 4: it just it's he He hasn't been that guy in
- 43:08Speaker 4: a long time.
- 43:09Speaker 3: And he wasn't that guy with the Patriots when he
- 43:12Speaker 3: left either. Yeah, that's why I think that trade was
- 43:14Speaker 3: as remarkable as it was. They got a third round
- 43:17Speaker 3: pick for a guy who was clearly on the decline.
- 43:20Speaker 2: Yep, Christian in La. What's up, Christian?
- 43:25Speaker 14: Hey you guys. Happy Happy Thursday and happy holiday season
- 43:29Speaker 14: to you guys. I'm a little worried. To be honest
- 43:32Speaker 14: with you, guys, I'm a little worried because there's some
- 43:34Speaker 14: things that this team needs to prove. This team needs
- 43:38Speaker 14: to prove that they have the mental toughness to bounce
- 43:41Speaker 14: back from an absolute collapse of a loss.
- 43:45Speaker 13: This team needs to.
- 43:46Speaker 14: Prove that Drake May can play in the cold. This
- 43:50Speaker 14: team needs to prove that Drake May can play clutch
- 43:52Speaker 14: ball when it's needed this team, and McDaniel needs to
- 43:57Speaker 14: prove that he can call a successful second half. Six
- 44:02Speaker 14: touchdowns six four sorry, four touchdowns, only four touchdowns in
- 44:07Speaker 14: the last six weeks. That seems to me like a
- 44:10Speaker 14: paper lion. That seems to me like the like a
- 44:13Speaker 14: team that made the playoffs a playoff.
- 44:17Speaker 2: So question, let me ask you a question.
- 44:20Speaker 14: Hold on, Hold on a second. Brabel needs to he
- 44:23Speaker 14: can stop his ex best player, Derek Henry this weekend.
- 44:27Speaker 14: Brabel needs to so that he can call a complete
- 44:30Speaker 14: defensive game for once this season. And if we can't
- 44:33Speaker 14: do those things, god, I guarantee you, we're gonna limp
- 44:36Speaker 14: into the playoffs. I hopefully hopefully beating two teams that
- 44:41Speaker 14: would love to play spoiler before the playoffs, and I'll
- 44:44Speaker 14: against the player, you know, against the Patriots. And if
- 44:47Speaker 14: we can't do all that stuff, he's gonna go into
- 44:50Speaker 14: the playoffs and we're gonna get bounced in the first
- 44:52Speaker 14: round and then we're gonna get a high draft pick
- 44:55Speaker 14: could be made it into the playoffs, and then next
- 44:57Speaker 14: year we're gonna have that same regressive year Washington had
- 45:01Speaker 14: because they could not significantly improve about the draft.
- 45:04Speaker 2: All Right, we're getting ahead of a little ahead of
- 45:06Speaker 2: ourselves here, christ all right, so I agree if they
- 45:10Speaker 2: can't do all that stuff. But if the Patriots lose
- 45:15Speaker 2: this game, tight game, like by a point of two
- 45:18Speaker 2: or three points, how do you feel.
- 45:23Speaker 14: If they prove those things. I didn't say they had
- 45:25Speaker 14: to win. I said they had to prove something.
- 45:27Speaker 11: Right, Okay, lose the tight game, and that means.
- 45:30Speaker 14: The mental toughness was there to come back from the collapse.
- 45:32Speaker 2: Okay, at.
- 45:34Speaker 6: But what if they I mean, so if they do
- 45:36Speaker 6: it in this game, they've proved it and that's it.
- 45:38Speaker 1: That's the truth.
- 45:39Speaker 6: Now, if Drake may has one comeback, I just I
- 45:41Speaker 6: think you're asking for perfection right now, Christian, this isn't
- 45:44Speaker 6: a talented team to play that perfect.
- 45:45Speaker 14: I don't think it's not a one game thing. It's
- 45:48Speaker 14: how we play. Again, we don't have to win. But
- 45:51Speaker 14: if Drake may prove he can play in the cold
- 45:53Speaker 14: by having a good game in the cold, yeah, I
- 45:55Speaker 14: think he might be to be able to have good
- 45:57Speaker 14: games from now on in the cold. You know, if
- 46:00Speaker 14: if Josh McDaniels can somehow finally put together a second
- 46:04Speaker 14: half where we score a touchdown maybe or field or
- 46:08Speaker 14: take the ball for more than like two minutes. Yeah,
- 46:11Speaker 14: I'd be satisfied that we proved that he can do that.
- 46:14Speaker 14: If Brable can call a good defensive game whole game, yes,
- 46:17Speaker 14: I would be happy. We don't have to win, we
- 46:19Speaker 14: have to prove some things.
- 46:20Speaker 3: That makes sense.
- 46:21Speaker 2: So it's all gonna come to realization in this game.
- 46:26Speaker 14: I guarantee you guys, if this doesn't happen next week,
- 46:29Speaker 14: this team will be demoralized and will probably lose a
- 46:32Speaker 14: game because we tend to play down the team. You
- 46:35Speaker 14: guys know that, especially Miami. We tend to really play
- 46:39Speaker 14: down against Miami, and they would.
- 46:40Speaker 2: Love to play against a lot of people we played
- 46:43Speaker 2: up this year. But now, okay, all right, thanks Christian.
- 46:48Speaker 2: He's impassioned, he's very I don't know if he's trolling us,
- 46:51Speaker 2: but you know, no, it's reaction.
- 46:55Speaker 4: I feel like this, uh, for some people, them landing
- 46:59Speaker 4: ten games in was like a really bad thing because
- 47:03Speaker 4: I feel like the expectations for this season got really
- 47:07Speaker 4: really high because they of how many games they won
- 47:11Speaker 4: in a row, and like now all of a sudden,
- 47:13Speaker 4: like if they do what Christian's doom in gloom scenario.
- 47:17Speaker 4: Now the whole regime is up in smoke because they
- 47:20Speaker 4: they didn't end this particular season being the first one
- 47:24Speaker 4: under Mike Rabel with a super Bowl like you know,
- 47:27Speaker 4: and so like now all of a sudden, it's an
- 47:30Speaker 4: abject failure, where like this was undoubtedly a success. If
- 47:35Speaker 4: they win the division this year, Yeah, there's there's no
- 47:38Speaker 4: like whether they win in the playoffs or not.
- 47:40Speaker 2: Right anymore, there is one thing that stuck out that
- 47:43Speaker 2: Christians said, if Mike Rabel can stop Derrick Henry, Like,
- 47:50Speaker 2: I know it's cliche to say, well, Mike Rabel isn't
- 47:52Speaker 2: out there, but what if Mike Rabel doesn't have the
- 47:55Speaker 2: horses to stop Derrick Henry? You know, like, are you
- 47:58Speaker 2: gonna blame that on Mike Rabel? I know, you know,
- 48:01Speaker 2: I think we have to be a little bit realistic.
- 48:03Speaker 2: I have we should have hopes out you know, to
- 48:07Speaker 2: the moon, like I hope we win the super Bowl,
- 48:09Speaker 2: but we have to be a little bit realistic. We
- 48:12Speaker 2: are ahead of schedule here.
- 48:15Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean, I'm gonna I'll say it now because
- 48:16Speaker 6: Paul loves you know, you tell everybody if I tell
- 48:18Speaker 6: you all week that the Ravens stink and then the
- 48:20Speaker 6: Patriots win. Well, the Ravens stung you. But so I
- 48:23Speaker 6: believe in the Ravens. I think they're you know, a
- 48:25Speaker 6: very good team. And if the Patriots win this game,
- 48:28Speaker 6: I mean spoiler, I'm probably gonna pick the Ravens. It
- 48:31Speaker 6: would prove a lot to me, to the Patriots to
- 48:33Speaker 6: be I think there's a really tough spot for them
- 48:35Speaker 6: to turn it around to get up for Sunday night
- 48:38Speaker 6: football on the road national audience.
- 48:40Speaker 1: You just lost. It's asking a lot. And like one
- 48:43Speaker 1: more point I'll make.
- 48:44Speaker 6: Is I think they've shown twice this season that they
- 48:46Speaker 6: can bounce back a little bit from a loss. I mean,
- 48:48Speaker 6: you know, they did bounce back and go down to
- 48:50Speaker 6: Miami and you know, beat to it for the first
- 48:51Speaker 6: time down there, and you know, I know Carolina wasn't
- 48:54Speaker 6: exactly a Jugger or not, but they came home and
- 48:56Speaker 6: they held serve and that helped them go into the
- 48:57Speaker 6: Buffalo game.
- 48:58Speaker 1: So there's just a lot that he's asking for in
- 49:01Speaker 1: this game. It seems like it's impossible to deliver, you.
- 49:03Speaker 2: Know, And I kind of forgot about it, as bad
- 49:06Speaker 2: as Miami might have been at that time when we
- 49:08Speaker 2: beat them. We had never done that with Tua before,
- 49:12Speaker 2: you know, like we couldn't beat Tua.
- 49:14Speaker 4: And any team or in Miami, right, and we did
- 49:18Speaker 4: and however.
- 49:19Speaker 2: It transpired, you know, however it came about. We we
- 49:22Speaker 2: ended up coming out with the w SO.
- 49:25Speaker 3: And just to like illustrate how things have somehow changed
- 49:30Speaker 3: that now is now deemed to have been playing down
- 49:33Speaker 3: to a team, right, Like, I don't know what other
- 49:37Speaker 3: other people thought, Like what are the games that they
- 49:41Speaker 3: played down to? Because I think that any time that
- 49:43Speaker 3: there was a close game with these bad teams, which
- 49:45Speaker 3: there's been a handful, like the Saints, Oh, the Saints,
- 49:48Speaker 3: the Falcons, the Bengals, there's love the Dolphins that they played,
- 49:52Speaker 3: you know, played down to the Raiders, the lost right,
- 49:56Speaker 3: Like it's not playing down like you didn't you went
- 50:01Speaker 3: into the season thinking that they can make some progress
- 50:06Speaker 3: and have a chance to they should be able to
- 50:07Speaker 3: be to be able to take advantage of bad football
- 50:09Speaker 3: and win some of these games. Now when they only
- 50:13Speaker 3: beat one of these teams by a one score, it's
- 50:16Speaker 3: playing down to them, Like the roster hasn't changed, Like
- 50:21Speaker 3: you have the same amount of talent that you had
- 50:23Speaker 3: coming into the season probably less. So I just I
- 50:27Speaker 3: agree with Fred's premise, Like what, I get that your
- 50:32Speaker 3: expectations are rising. They should. They've won eleven games. I
- 50:37Speaker 3: feel better about the team today than I did before
- 50:39Speaker 3: the season started for obvious reasons. But that doesn't mean
- 50:42Speaker 3: they magically are better than everybody. They're playing better than
- 50:46Speaker 3: most of these teams, and that's how they were able
- 50:48Speaker 3: to beat Atlanta in New Orleans and Cincinnati and Miami
- 50:52Speaker 3: and these games that could have gone either way. They
- 50:55Speaker 3: played better than the other team when it mattered most.
- 50:59Speaker 3: I'm not gonna give up on the season if they
- 51:02Speaker 3: lose to the Ravens. Let me know which Ravens team
- 51:04Speaker 3: shows up. If the Ravens team shows up that that
- 51:07Speaker 3: played Pittsburgh two weeks ago, the Patriots are gonna win
- 51:10Speaker 3: because that team was disinterested and sloppy. They turned the
- 51:13Speaker 3: ball over five times the week before that in a
- 51:15Speaker 3: home game on Thanksgiving Night against Cincinnati. Patriots are gonna
- 51:19Speaker 3: beat that team. That's the team they've beaten all year,
- 51:21Speaker 3: the team that they make the mistakes, and the Patriots
- 51:25Speaker 3: are there to take advantage of the mistakes. If Baltimore
- 51:28Speaker 3: wants to play to its capability, the Patriots can play
- 51:31Speaker 3: a good game and lose because Baltimore has talent. To
- 51:34Speaker 3: Mike's point about this is going to be an impressive win,
- 51:37Speaker 3: let me know which Baltimore team shows up, because the
- 51:40Speaker 3: Patriots team that shows up, they're pretty much the same
- 51:42Speaker 3: team shows up every week. It's pretty good. It ain't great,
- 51:45Speaker 3: it's flawed, but they're pretty good consistently every week.
- 51:49Speaker 4: The other thing that's starting to irk me and I
- 51:51Speaker 4: did some research on this this morning, the whole fourth
- 51:54Speaker 4: quarter comeback thing, Like now, all of a sudden, that
- 51:57Speaker 4: is like what makes a good quarterback is you have
- 52:00Speaker 4: and it's such a like arbitrary, like you have to
- 52:03Speaker 4: be trailing in the fourth quarter and like you have
- 52:06Speaker 4: it has to be like you did it. Like so
- 52:09Speaker 4: like he doesn't get credit for Antonio Gibson's kickoff return
- 52:12Speaker 4: touchdown against Miami because because that is that's you know,
- 52:16Speaker 4: in the other direction, right, like that's a not a
- 52:19Speaker 4: Drake May touchdown drive, so it doesn't count. And then
- 52:22Speaker 4: like you know, last year he puts them up on
- 52:25Speaker 4: the Colts in that game against Anthony Richardson, he did
- 52:28Speaker 4: drive them down the field to score and take the lead,
- 52:31Speaker 4: and the defense, gave it right back and they win
- 52:34Speaker 4: the game on the two point conversion, So he doesn't
- 52:36Speaker 4: get credit for that, even though he put them in
- 52:38Speaker 4: the position to win the football game. Then down in Tennessee,
- 52:41Speaker 4: he makes one of the plays of the year to
- 52:43Speaker 4: get them into overtime, and yeah, he threw the pick
- 52:46Speaker 4: in overtime that lost him the game. But like he
- 52:48Speaker 4: doesn't you know, like there's all this like context of
- 52:51Speaker 4: all these like situations.
- 52:53Speaker 3: My bigger thing for that whole narrative is that, you know,
- 52:57Speaker 3: give me the give me the dozen examples that he failed. Oh,
- 53:00Speaker 3: you can't because they weren't any Oh, I got it,
- 53:03Speaker 3: Like Sunday, they had a chance to do it. He
- 53:05Speaker 3: didn't do it. Okay, so that's it. He can't do it.
- 53:08Speaker 3: And Evan's right, that's kind of the narrative that's bubbling
- 53:12Speaker 3: under the service. Yeah, he hasn't had a lot of
- 53:14Speaker 3: chances to do it.
- 53:15Speaker 4: Right, So I actually did this because I'm a nerd
- 53:17Speaker 4: and this is what I do. But I broke it
- 53:19Speaker 4: up between like when did he have an opportunity in
- 53:22Speaker 4: the fourth quarter in a one score game to take
- 53:25Speaker 4: the lead or win the football game versus like last year,
- 53:29Speaker 4: you know, he's down to the Texans by two touchdowns
- 53:33Speaker 4: in the fourth quarter. Well, he didn't make a fourth
- 53:34Speaker 4: quarter comeback, you know, or even take any last year
- 53:39Speaker 4: as twenty three to three in the fourth quarter. Was
- 53:41Speaker 4: he supposed to come back for that?
- 53:42Speaker 3: Just going by this year, they've had the lead in
- 53:45Speaker 3: the fourth quarter of all these games. It's not like,
- 53:47Speaker 3: I mean, it's not his fault that he hasn't had
- 53:49Speaker 3: to come from behind. A matter of fact, it's to
- 53:51Speaker 3: his credit that he's had the position, that the team
- 53:54Speaker 3: in position to have the lead in the fourth quarter.
- 53:56Speaker 4: That's sort of the point I'm making is like it's
- 53:58Speaker 4: like we're talking about like three game games where like
- 54:01Speaker 4: you could have this argument that he didn't come through
- 54:03Speaker 4: in the clutch and that's supposed to dowt define him that, you.
- 54:07Speaker 1: Know, like, well it's a Christmas point. He does it
- 54:09Speaker 1: once and now he's proven he done it, and now
- 54:10Speaker 1: it's just.
- 54:11Speaker 3: That's I'm not going to feel any differently if they
- 54:13Speaker 3: do it. But let's say that they have the same
- 54:16Speaker 3: situation that they had against Buffalo and Baltimore down four
- 54:20Speaker 3: three minutes left and he doesn't do it, and then
- 54:23Speaker 3: they go to the playoff, same thing happens. Well, now
- 54:26Speaker 3: I might look at it and say, there's something missing there,
- 54:29Speaker 3: like give me a you know, give me a handful
- 54:31Speaker 3: of examples where he had a chance and didn't do it,
- 54:33Speaker 3: Like right now, to my mind's he's had one. Yeah, Sunday,
- 54:38Speaker 3: And by the way, it couldn't have come at a
- 54:39Speaker 3: worse time, in the midst of an epic collapsed by
- 54:42Speaker 3: the team. You know, momentum was huge at that time.
- 54:48Speaker 4: Yeah, and he doesn't get you know, the Week five game,
- 54:51Speaker 4: it was tied, So now that's not a fourth quarter comeback,
- 54:53Speaker 4: it's just a game winning drives. And now now that
- 54:56Speaker 4: you know, now.
- 54:56Speaker 3: He gets he's gotten plenty of points. He shot plenty
- 54:59Speaker 3: of points that one.
- 55:00Speaker 4: But but I just feel like we're just it's just a
- 55:03Speaker 4: very arbitrary like thing that just like sometimes lacks a
- 55:08Speaker 4: large sample size, would be like a lot of context,
- 55:10Speaker 4: like of like what was going on in the game.
- 55:13Speaker 6: Not entirely the same thing, but how do you feel
- 55:15Speaker 6: about that? It's like the narrative of Lamar can't win
- 55:17Speaker 6: the big one. You know, Lamar can't get the super
- 55:19Speaker 6: you know, it's it's different, but how similar lineful.
- 55:21Speaker 3: In nineteen when people started talking like that, I pushed back.
- 55:24Speaker 3: I don't push back anymore. Hasn't been in a Super Bowl, right,
- 55:29Speaker 3: and is the reason I do push back a little
- 55:34Speaker 3: with Josh Allen because he plays out of his mind
- 55:36Speaker 3: and this team finds a way to loose. Yeah, Like
- 55:39Speaker 3: that's not the same like last year. Everybody's like, well,
- 55:41Speaker 3: you know Mark Andrews dropped the two point conversion, Well
- 55:43Speaker 3: maybe if Lamar did turn it over three times, they
- 55:45Speaker 3: wouldn't needed the two point conversion to tie it. And
- 55:48Speaker 3: I love Lamar Jackson. I think he's a tremendous player,
- 55:51Speaker 3: but facts are facts. He hasn't been as good in
- 55:54Speaker 3: the postseason as he is in the regular season. Josh
- 55:56Speaker 3: Allen is he is. He plays just he's seven and
- 56:00Speaker 3: six or something like that in his postseason games, but
- 56:03Speaker 3: look at his numbers, Well, he's better in the postseason.
- 56:05Speaker 2: The thing with Drake is people want to right now
- 56:09Speaker 2: decide whether or not he's truly an elite quarterback, one
- 56:14Speaker 2: of the greats. Yeah, and they want the evidence, and
- 56:17Speaker 2: you're not gonna get it this early in his career.
- 56:20Speaker 2: You just don't know. I mean, as great as Tom
- 56:23Speaker 2: Brady was.
- 56:24Speaker 3: And people who were trying to go up the side
- 56:26Speaker 3: do it.
- 56:26Speaker 2: You know, as great as great as Tom Brady was
- 56:28Speaker 2: early in his career, there were some people that said, oh,
- 56:31Speaker 2: they extended him too early. Yeah, you know, we don't
- 56:34Speaker 2: know yet.
- 56:34Speaker 6: Well, it is the unfair, ultimate unfair comparison to compare
- 56:39Speaker 6: him to Brady, who had an innate sense, could kind
- 56:42Speaker 6: of do it from the get go, and that was
- 56:43Speaker 6: his superpower.
- 56:44Speaker 1: That's what to me made him the greatest of all
- 56:46Speaker 1: time was when.
- 56:47Speaker 6: The game was on the line, you knew that there
- 56:48Speaker 6: was nobody better and you were gonna have to bury
- 56:50Speaker 6: him twenty and.
- 56:50Speaker 3: His second start at home, his second career start at home,
- 56:55Speaker 3: he had an opportunity to do that, do you know
- 56:57Speaker 3: what I mean? Like, sometimes guys just have more chances
- 57:00Speaker 3: and whatever happens. And I'm not suggesting that May is
- 57:02Speaker 3: going to be better than Brady in crunch time, because
- 57:05Speaker 3: that would have to be significant, you know, to be
- 57:08Speaker 3: like those guys.
- 57:09Speaker 6: You know what's kind of funny, Like similar comparison is
- 57:11Speaker 6: Vinitari and Gostowski, where like Kestowski was never really put
- 57:14Speaker 6: in the position to kick the you know, he can't
- 57:17Speaker 6: kicked the game winner.
- 57:17Speaker 1: Well, he didn't have to kick.
- 57:18Speaker 3: It's a good example how he was was. But yes,
- 57:23Speaker 3: that was very, very similar. The first couple of years
- 57:25Speaker 3: of Gostowski's career, he didn't have those opportunities.
- 57:28Speaker 6: Yeah, and I think those six Chargers game, I was that.
- 57:31Speaker 6: I remember that one he nailed was good, wasn't you know?
- 57:33Speaker 6: They still had a chance. But same thing. You're spoiled
- 57:36Speaker 6: by venitary and his clutch ability to make kicks in
- 57:38Speaker 6: the snow, and you know, clock expires and we win
- 57:41Speaker 6: because House he wasn't really put in that position.
- 57:43Speaker 2: Earlier, Travis in West Virginia about Christian in LA, he said,
- 57:48Speaker 2: he's not trolling you. Stop. You've been brainwashed by boring,
- 57:52Speaker 2: uninteresting callers who regurgitate the same old talking points, so
- 57:56Speaker 2: you're unable to recognize the brilliance of someone with an
- 57:59Speaker 2: original and entertaining point of view. Wow, Chris says, shut
- 58:03Speaker 2: down the team, shut down, PU shut down everything. Our
- 58:06Speaker 2: draft pick is too late in the first round to recover.
- 58:08Speaker 2: I announced my fan hood. Mister Kraft, please submit the
- 58:12Speaker 2: paperwork needed to have the Patriots removed from the NFL.
- 58:14Speaker 2: We are only eleven and four. We obviously can't enjoy
- 58:17Speaker 2: this at all and need the freedom from the pain
- 58:20Speaker 2: of the season I want.
- 58:21Speaker 6: Actually, I'm pissed having off because I wanted to ask him.
- 58:23Speaker 6: I was looking at Cincinnati right now. I think they're
- 58:26Speaker 6: like four four and eleven, four and twelve something like that,
- 58:28Speaker 6: and like, to me, they're such on that cusp.
- 58:30Speaker 1: But like you're not going anywhere, Like wouldn't.
- 58:32Speaker 6: You like to get like into the top five, Like
- 58:34Speaker 6: I don't know, maybe put Buro out and you know,
- 58:36Speaker 6: like sit Jamar Chase out of it. I just thought
- 58:38Speaker 6: of him when I saw them in the standings, Like
- 58:40Speaker 6: what do they They're going to try to win this
- 58:41Speaker 6: weekend and like try to get.
- 58:43Speaker 2: Another elite weapon. Dana Virginia in Michigan. Paul isn't getting
- 58:46Speaker 2: enough recognition for shutting down Christian in LA and the
- 58:50Speaker 2: pregame show this past week. And he definitely needs more
- 58:52Speaker 2: flowers or maybe a new car. So no, listen, Christian again,
- 59:00Speaker 2: you brought it, got us talking, get people talking. That's great.
- 59:03Speaker 1: I don't have to agree with him.
- 59:05Speaker 2: But James Pettigrew, the most interesting Patriots fan of the world,
- 59:08Speaker 2: says to me, the window was open when we win
- 59:12Speaker 2: our for a super Bowl. We have dynasty windows here
- 59:14Speaker 2: in New England, not AFC championship windows like the Bills. Well, listen,
- 59:20Speaker 2: I think we have to reset though. I mean, you know,
- 59:24Speaker 2: I think it's it's almost disrespectful to expect us to
- 59:27Speaker 2: do what the dynasty did. Like if we get to
- 59:31Speaker 2: the AC Championship this year and we lost it, I'd
- 59:35Speaker 2: be very very excited about next year. Oh boy, like,
- 59:37Speaker 2: let's go, let's go.
- 59:39Speaker 6: Yeah, I would, I mean, I would just continue my
- 59:41Speaker 6: caveat of you've got to continue to really improve, and
- 59:45Speaker 6: you know now teams are going to be gunning for you.
- 59:47Speaker 1: And I don't want to overreact to the Bills game,
- 59:50Speaker 1: but there are.
- 59:51Speaker 6: Some places in that game where I said, you know
- 59:53Speaker 6: this guy that I felt okay with maybe during the
- 59:56Speaker 6: wind streak, you're starting to see that when you get
- 59:59Speaker 6: into crunch time, you're gonna need some more talent in
- 1:00:01Speaker 6: some more key spots.
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: And it's not their fault, Like this is the start
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: of the process.
- 1:00:05Speaker 6: I think they did great in free agency in the
- 1:00:07Speaker 6: draft last year, but next year they might have to
- 1:00:10Speaker 6: be better with less resources and maybe a little bit
- 1:00:13Speaker 6: more targeted. And to the point of that last email
- 1:00:15Speaker 6: or you're probably going to be picking low, so you're
- 1:00:17Speaker 6: not for the first time since what like drafted you
- 1:00:20Speaker 6: know Mac Jones, I guess would be the first one.
- 1:00:22Speaker 6: Like you're not going to have a top half of
- 1:00:23Speaker 6: the first round pick this year probably, and you're gonna
- 1:00:26Speaker 6: have to make the.
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: Best of it. Let's go to Kevin in Nashville. What's up, Kevin? Hey?
- 1:00:32Speaker 12: Can you hear me?
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: Yep?
- 1:00:35Speaker 12: I am honored to follow a crash out from Christian
- 1:00:37Speaker 12: in LA for my first call, so thank you for
- 1:00:40Speaker 12: taking it nice perfect. I got two questions, if that's
- 1:00:44Speaker 12: all right?
- 1:00:45Speaker 2: Okay?
- 1:00:47Speaker 12: Wanted to ask this one a catch twenty two wasn't
- 1:00:49Speaker 12: able to call in yesterday. Regarding the Ravens defense, specifically,
- 1:00:54Speaker 12: how good Kyle Hamilton is kind of as a big
- 1:00:57Speaker 12: nickel for disguising the defenses. Given kind of the adjustment
- 1:01:03Speaker 12: struggles we saw from the offense last week in the
- 1:01:05Speaker 12: second half, are we concerned at all maybe medium cy
- 1:01:09Speaker 12: about Drake and kind of the offense as a whole,
- 1:01:11Speaker 12: their ability to I guess adjust to the fluidity of
- 1:01:15Speaker 12: Baltimore's disguised defense, And if so, what do we think
- 1:01:20Speaker 12: is the best approach for countering that you know, more
- 1:01:23Speaker 12: window dressing for our emotions to hopefully trick them, or
- 1:01:26Speaker 12: maybe take a progression approach to take some of that
- 1:01:29Speaker 12: pre snap reading pressure off of Drake. And the second
- 1:01:33Speaker 12: question is I couldn't recall if the pre and postgame
- 1:01:35Speaker 12: shows we're active for the twenty one loss in Buffalo.
- 1:01:38Speaker 12: If we end up having to go on the road
- 1:01:40Speaker 12: for the playoffs, which seems more and more likely as
- 1:01:43Speaker 12: we get closer to the end, are Paul, dust and
- 1:01:45Speaker 12: Quantie going to travel with the team and do the shows?
- 1:01:47Speaker 12: And even more importantly, how much diet pepsi is it
- 1:01:51Speaker 12: going to take aull adjustice.
- 1:01:54Speaker 2: Well normal here? Yeah, yeah, yeah, we'll stop the shows
- 1:01:59Speaker 2: we'll do now if we go to the super Bowl,
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: it's all hands on deck. Yeah yeah, we'll do That's.
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: Different usually live we do pre postgame super Bowl. Where
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: does that work?
- 1:02:08Speaker 3: So it's something that we're gonna have to talk about
- 1:02:11Speaker 3: because we've never really we've never done a pre and
- 1:02:12Speaker 3: post game I've never done it normal.
- 1:02:15Speaker 8: Super Bowl in Germany, we flew back and we did
- 1:02:18Speaker 8: it from here. Oh yeah, I forgot. You were in
- 1:02:20Speaker 8: there for the game.
- 1:02:21Speaker 3: Seven thirty, which I mean that could be in play too.
- 1:02:24Speaker 3: I don't know, but we've never been able to.
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: Really, you're really hammering this deuce is never going to
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: super Bowl thing?
- 1:02:30Speaker 3: No, you'll, you'll, you'll get the super Bowl experience. Well,
- 1:02:34Speaker 3: like Fred said, it's all hands on deck, every will.
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: It was so tough because it's just to get into
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: the press spots and like now you've got to find
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: a space to broadcast from.
- 1:02:43Speaker 3: Yeah, and you need to be there hours.
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: Yeah, so it's tough. And plus super Bowl has a
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: lot of pregame stuff going on on TV. You're you're
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: coming up against that. It's it's okay. I've never had
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: any complaints said, oh, you didn't have a pregame show
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: in the super Bowl. Never heard one complaint about that. Interesting, Yeah,
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: you made me do.
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: It, like the day before the morning show.
- 1:03:08Speaker 3: She'll do one, you know, maybe we'll do an extra
- 1:03:09Speaker 3: one on Friday. Yeah, week I think we've even done.
- 1:03:12Speaker 3: We did Saturday one week and we didn't like, we're
- 1:03:14Speaker 3: still mad at you for that. And Fred apologized about
- 1:03:17Speaker 3: ten minutes into the show.
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: Yeah, as you get.
- 1:03:20Speaker 8: Close, how are the ratings on the Saturday?
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: It wasn't good, But you try it.
- 1:03:25Speaker 3: You try this on.
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: As you get closer to the suit, like people are
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: like not focusing on you. There's so much going on much.
- 1:03:32Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't worry nobody's listening anything.
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: I'll do my best.
- 1:03:37Speaker 6: I'll do my best to jump into Kevin's scheme question.
- 1:03:39Speaker 6: Because Evan and I talked a little bit on the
- 1:03:40Speaker 6: on the pregame and the preview that we taped earlier.
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: I think it is interesting.
- 1:03:45Speaker 6: I mean, you know, by the numbers, the Ravens are
- 1:03:48Speaker 6: a man coverage, single high kind of team.
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: But you know, I think Paul said they.
- 1:03:52Speaker 6: Got Gilman in, they drafted starts, so they have those
- 1:03:55Speaker 6: two high safeties now so they can put Hamilton in
- 1:03:58Speaker 6: the box, and I think that was a big part
- 1:03:59Speaker 6: of where their defense started to really get better. I
- 1:04:02Speaker 6: would just say generally, if the if the Ravens try
- 1:04:05Speaker 6: to play a lot of cover two like the Bills
- 1:04:07Speaker 6: did in the second half, the Patriots have to figure
- 1:04:10Speaker 6: out a way to run the ball. They got to
- 1:04:11Speaker 6: run on the light box and get them out of
- 1:04:13Speaker 6: the cover two. But I think it's a smart play because,
- 1:04:17Speaker 6: as Evin pointed out, Drake's superpowers pushing the ball down
- 1:04:19Speaker 6: the field and making those plays. Wish Evan was here
- 1:04:22Speaker 6: He talked to Kaishaan Budi yesterday about the you know,
- 1:04:24Speaker 6: the coverage in the second half, and he was kind of,
- 1:04:26Speaker 6: you know, lamenting that it, that it really hurt their
- 1:04:28Speaker 6: deep passing games.
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: So I think they'll see more of it, even.
- 1:04:31Speaker 6: Though the Ravens tend to play a little bit more
- 1:04:33Speaker 6: up high, but they have the personnel to do it.
- 1:04:35Speaker 6: And you know, Kyle Hamilton going against Hunter Henry, that's
- 1:04:38Speaker 6: that's a good matchup for them. And I'd say the
- 1:04:40Speaker 6: same thing about Humphrey and Digs in the slot. You
- 1:04:44Speaker 6: know that those two guys can can stick, so they're
- 1:04:47Speaker 6: gonna have to find other ways.
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: Short answer for me is, yeah, I'm worried about the
- 1:04:50Speaker 2: Baltimore defense. Sure, absolutely, all right, let's take a break.
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: We have more to do. We have picks, so we
- 1:04:58Speaker 2: got to hurry. But we'll take that break and we'll
- 1:05:01Speaker 2: be right back. Whether you're in the game or betting

- 1:07:05Speaker 6: Well, Will watching him living here today's.
- 1:07:12Speaker 10: Yeah, coach, It's it's awesome seeing him around. Anytime he's around,
- 1:07:14Speaker 10: it's it brings join to us. It brings Jorida the
- 1:07:17Speaker 10: locker room and brings Jorda. See his face, see how
- 1:07:20Speaker 10: he's doing. And I'm just praying for him. And he's
- 1:07:22Speaker 10: continued to fight, and you know what a story, and
- 1:07:25Speaker 10: it's been something for us to ride around him and
- 1:07:27Speaker 10: somebody care about and another thing.
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: Is just bigger than football.
- 1:07:30Speaker 3: And uh, just.
- 1:07:31Speaker 10: Props to him for you know, see me in here.
- 1:07:33Speaker 10: A couple of times throughout the year, and it's been
- 1:07:35Speaker 10: it's been cool to see I.
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: Know he's obviously works with the defense. Uh and is
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: here what he cannedy, But do you guys have.
- 1:07:42Speaker 5: Any kind of personal connection or something you talked about
- 1:07:44Speaker 5: it with anything specific in your relationship.
- 1:07:47Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: I got to know his son well.
- 1:07:48Speaker 10: He was around training camp a lot, so I know
- 1:07:50Speaker 10: he's a big hockey player. And uh, it's been cool
- 1:07:52Speaker 10: to for coach t just to some on the different
- 1:07:55Speaker 10: side of the ball top to be able.
- 1:07:56Speaker 3: To relate with in life.
- 1:07:57Speaker 10: And he kind of we kind of told our stories
- 1:08:00Speaker 10: kind of they get to know each other early on
- 1:08:01Speaker 10: in the year, and you know, he had a great
- 1:08:03Speaker 10: story and coming from his background, and I think he
- 1:08:06Speaker 10: relates their player as well. Everybody from I've talked to
- 1:08:09Speaker 10: from was in Detroit and uh, Tennessee. Everybody loves him
- 1:08:13Speaker 10: and he's easy to care about and and uh, I
- 1:08:17Speaker 10: think he'd be awesome to have a round more. But
- 1:08:19Speaker 10: obviously he's dealing with with things that are I said,
- 1:08:21Speaker 10: bigger than football and just looking forward to having back
- 1:08:23Speaker 10: whenever that is. And I think he's like just brings
- 1:08:26Speaker 10: joy to the locker room.
- 1:08:29Speaker 6: We were talking about the National Football League you're not
- 1:08:31Speaker 6: going to win every game.
- 1:08:32Speaker 4: What's your just general thought on a bouncing back at
- 1:08:35Speaker 4: you know, facing the adversity and how you go.
- 1:08:38Speaker 10: About doing Yeah, I'll see the stings, you know, things
- 1:08:41Speaker 10: when you don't come up on the winning side. But well,
- 1:08:44Speaker 10: I try to learn in this league is it's onto
- 1:08:45Speaker 10: the next week. You know, the next week's you know,
- 1:08:47Speaker 10: just as important as the last week and the week
- 1:08:49Speaker 10: before that, and it's every week is important and and
- 1:08:51Speaker 10: it matters. And just trying to play my best ability
- 1:08:53Speaker 10: and fix the things that I can fix and make
- 1:08:55Speaker 10: plays and try to fix plays that I wish I
- 1:08:57Speaker 10: had back and try to let not up and again.
- 1:08:59Speaker 10: But at the same time, I think it's there's some
- 1:09:01Speaker 10: good things we did from last game, but also some
- 1:09:03Speaker 10: things we've got to improve on to be better down
- 1:09:05Speaker 10: the road and be better against the Ravens this week.
- 1:09:08Speaker 10: And we had a tough challenge and they were a
- 1:09:09Speaker 10: good defense, and they're good football team with a great quarterback,
- 1:09:12Speaker 10: so they.
- 1:09:13Speaker 3: They're a tough challenge.
- 1:09:14Speaker 10: And just trying to learn every week and store things
- 1:09:16Speaker 10: and I remembery ranked to use them again down the road.
- 1:09:18Speaker 17: Right with I'm curious because you had your schedule time
- 1:09:22Speaker 17: time games and seeing who this was one where you
- 1:09:24Speaker 17: were taken out of the initial spot you guys were
- 1:09:26Speaker 17: in and moved to prime time where more eyes will.
- 1:09:28Speaker 14: Be on you.
- 1:09:29Speaker 17: Kind of is there an extra level of excitement to
- 1:09:31Speaker 17: know that you know they wanted you in that spot,
- 1:09:33Speaker 17: they wanted the Patriots to be playing in that element.
- 1:09:35Speaker 10: That's what you played for. That's what we're trying to
- 1:09:37Speaker 10: play for for for many years down the road, trying
- 1:09:39Speaker 10: to be the team that you know, people want to
- 1:09:41Speaker 10: see you at night and people want to see when
- 1:09:43Speaker 10: the only game on is us. That what you want
- 1:09:45Speaker 10: this environment to be. That's what you want the newly
- 1:09:47Speaker 10: one Patriots to be playing on night games that matter
- 1:09:50Speaker 10: and you know home playoff games, and that's what we're
- 1:09:52Speaker 10: building tours and working tours, and that's one of the goals.
- 1:09:55Speaker 10: So we're keep trying to get there and do whatever
- 1:09:57Speaker 10: we can to get there. And it starts in practice
- 1:09:59Speaker 10: out here today and tomorrow and each and every day.
- 1:10:02Speaker 10: I think it's one of the tough things at the
- 1:10:03Speaker 10: end of the the thing is Week sixteen. You know,
- 1:10:06Speaker 10: it's trying not to battle in that kind of tailing
- 1:10:08Speaker 10: off and taking shortcuts just try to keep going and
- 1:10:11Speaker 10: do things a little more, study a little more, do
- 1:10:13Speaker 10: a little bit more after practice, just to try to
- 1:10:15Speaker 10: make up for the sixteen weeks that you put on
- 1:10:17Speaker 10: your body and know that these weeks are the weeks
- 1:10:20Speaker 10: that you play the last fourteen games for.
- 1:10:23Speaker 4: Gick, do you expect to see some of the things
- 1:10:26Speaker 4: that those were successful doing to teat you.
- 1:10:30Speaker 17: Mostly in the second half, other teams try to copy that,
- 1:10:34Speaker 17: and if you've been working to kind of work out
- 1:10:37Speaker 17: whatever those issues.
- 1:10:38Speaker 10: Were, well, I'm sure teams try to do whatever other
- 1:10:42Speaker 10: defenses try to do to quote unquote you know, stopped
- 1:10:45Speaker 10: us or felt like worked. So you try to not
- 1:10:48Speaker 10: over overlook that and realize that these teams are going
- 1:10:51Speaker 10: to be who they are. And I practice all year long,
- 1:10:54Speaker 10: but you never know until you really get out there,
- 1:10:56Speaker 10: and it's not the football and see but you obviously
- 1:10:58Speaker 10: we're trying to work on things that we can can
- 1:11:00Speaker 10: role and control on details and me making throws and
- 1:11:04Speaker 10: better ball placement and better decisions, and that's what we
- 1:11:07Speaker 10: can control and let the rest toward yourself out.
- 1:11:10Speaker 3: You care about the MVP conversation, You.
- 1:11:12Speaker 10: Know the MVP is it's obviously, uh you know, one
- 1:11:15Speaker 10: of the big accolades for for this league, and it's uh,
- 1:11:19Speaker 10: you know something that you know, it's the honor as
- 1:11:21Speaker 10: a player to you know, earn their award and respect
- 1:11:24Speaker 10: me all the pass m vps. But I think at
- 1:11:26Speaker 10: the end of the day, you'll win. The super Bowl
- 1:11:28Speaker 10: is the biggest thing, and I think it's what kind
- 1:11:32Speaker 10: of makes makes this league go is is winning the
- 1:11:35Speaker 10: big one, and that's what you work towards and that's
- 1:11:37Speaker 10: what this game is about. You know, I love winning,
- 1:11:39Speaker 10: and you know the personal acolades come with all that,
- 1:11:41Speaker 10: but I'd rather win than than win, you know, personal awards.
- 1:11:45Speaker 10: And I hope you know, people in that locker room,
- 1:11:47Speaker 10: I know a lot of them feel the same way.
- 1:11:48Speaker 18: Say Scotty report when you can't one more time, this
- 1:11:53Speaker 18: is scouting report on.
- 1:11:54Speaker 10: Yeah, lay with my last year in college. He's a
- 1:11:57Speaker 10: great guy in the locker room. He's good on the edge,
- 1:12:00Speaker 10: he's fast, he's uh, you know, played inside a little bit.
- 1:12:02Speaker 3: He's played on the edge.
- 1:12:04Speaker 10: He played inside of Florida State, if I remember in
- 1:12:06Speaker 10: college and now you moved to the edge when you
- 1:12:08Speaker 10: got North Carolina.
- 1:12:09Speaker 3: So I know he's with you.
- 1:12:10Speaker 10: Know, Vegas and you know, good to see him back.
- 1:12:12Speaker 5: And I think.
- 1:12:14Speaker 10: Everybody's just trying to suit, you know, just to help us,
- 1:12:17Speaker 10: whether it's you know, on game day or throughout practice
- 1:12:20Speaker 10: or you know, whatever you can do.
- 1:12:21Speaker 3: I know he's gonna work hard, and I know he's
- 1:12:23Speaker 3: got good work.
- 1:12:24Speaker 2: I think great, but win.
- 1:12:25Speaker 3: The Long Bowl opportunity potentially to stay.
- 1:12:28Speaker 6: Do you ever have to play against you were on
- 1:12:30Speaker 6: with tendency to you know, to take a shorter.
- 1:12:33Speaker 10: Easier Yeah, that's what I've been battling, you know, probably
- 1:12:37Speaker 10: since college. Since college, I was you know, more down
- 1:12:40Speaker 10: the field and it's not even you know, trying to
- 1:12:42Speaker 10: force that is kind of the offense I was in
- 1:12:44Speaker 10: and the backs weren't getting out.
- 1:12:46Speaker 3: They were more blocking in college.
- 1:12:47Speaker 10: So I'm just trying to take to take the plays
- 1:12:49Speaker 10: that the defense gives me and realize that, you know,
- 1:12:51Speaker 10: moving the chains and uh, being in second and four
- 1:12:53Speaker 10: versus second and ten is better.
- 1:12:55Speaker 3: So just challenging that.
- 1:12:56Speaker 10: But at the same time, you got to get defense,
- 1:12:58Speaker 10: you know, on his toes for not squad on routes
- 1:13:00Speaker 10: and let him know that we can hit one over
- 1:13:02Speaker 10: their head.
- 1:13:03Speaker 4: We're going to tramp to the design runs in the
- 1:13:05Speaker 4: red zone last week. Just how did that kind of
- 1:13:07Speaker 4: come about?
- 1:13:08Speaker 18: And you know, how do you feel about doing that
- 1:13:10Speaker 18: a little bit more with.
- 1:13:12Speaker 10: Yeah, we tried them previous weeks. They just haven't worked,
- 1:13:14Speaker 10: you know, as well as they did on Sunday. So
- 1:13:17Speaker 10: it's something that makes it, you know, even down there
- 1:13:20Speaker 10: when you know, when it gets tighted, it's eleven and eleven,
- 1:13:22Speaker 10: and it's something that you can gain an extra hat
- 1:13:23Speaker 10: versus you know, me just handing it off and watching.
- 1:13:25Speaker 10: So something you can use. But also you gotta be
- 1:13:28Speaker 10: smart and these defenses are are good and now these guys.
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: And now great moments in.
- 1:13:37Speaker 2: History final one. Outside of football, I am also an
- 1:13:41Speaker 2: author mar tell Us parent No Home Out. I care
- 1:13:45Speaker 2: deeply about my charitable foundation. That could be right? Yeah
- 1:13:51Speaker 2: what Eric, who doesn't know?
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: Yeah never mind?
- 1:13:53Speaker 3: Why never mind?
- 1:13:55Speaker 2: Eric? And I have a slutty cat and I like
- 1:13:58Speaker 2: to eat sawdust.
- 1:14:01Speaker 3: What Eric SkELL nowod cat?
- 1:14:06Speaker 2: Good?
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: Cody good?
- 1:14:07Speaker 3: Screw your Cody.
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: I didn't know about your cat.
- 1:14:10Speaker 2: Yeah, real slut. No, he doesn't let the cat in.
- 1:14:14Speaker 2: I mean that's the problem. It's not really his cat.
- 1:14:17Speaker 2: Do let her in, but it's not your cat. Well,
- 1:14:19Speaker 2: she's just a stray. I just take care of it.
- 1:14:21Speaker 2: But why don't you just take her in?
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: I do let her in.
- 1:14:25Speaker 2: I mean make her your cat, make you your cat.
- 1:14:29Speaker 3: I don't mean just like Cody, if you were here,
- 1:14:31Speaker 3: I would beat the crap on it.
- 1:14:32Speaker 2: Now.
- 1:14:33Speaker 19: You know, great game Cody, good joke like he's trying
- 1:14:36Speaker 19: to play you know, you know, yeah, either board games
- 1:14:40Speaker 19: with him.
- 1:14:41Speaker 2: I mean, make you shut up, to make the cat yours.
- 1:14:44Speaker 2: Give the cat a home.
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: She has a home. She got chewed up. Ears, Well she's.
- 1:14:50Speaker 19: You called her she was a stray and now she
- 1:14:53Speaker 19: lives in my house. She lives in your house now,
- 1:14:55Speaker 19: so you did take her in, yes years ago? Fred, Okay,
- 1:14:59Speaker 19: that's not the cares. Yeah, you got out of the shop.
- 1:15:02Speaker 19: What's the cat's name?
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: That's not going to you.
- 1:15:05Speaker 2: You don't have a name because you didn't take it.
- 1:15:06Speaker 3: I did have me.
- 1:15:07Speaker 2: You don't have a name.
- 1:15:08Speaker 11: Cat.
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: I do have a name.
- 1:15:09Speaker 3: And told I've told you before, and you all like Meg,
- 1:15:11Speaker 3: what is it? No Mozart Mozart Mittens said, of course.
- 1:15:17Speaker 4: I said that which motive you did?
- 1:15:19Speaker 2: Which which movement of.
- 1:15:23Speaker 3: I hate you all that?
- 1:15:26Speaker 2: Oh what happened? Are we are? We on the air?
- 1:15:31Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 1:15:31Speaker 6: We are on the air, Fred, and it's time for
- 1:15:33Speaker 6: the co Pilot Question of the Week, presented by Microsoft Copilot,
- 1:15:36Speaker 6: where every day is Game Day and where every decision
- 1:15:38Speaker 6: is powered by insight and innovation. Microsoft technology helps to
- 1:15:41Speaker 6: make decisions faster, insight sharper, and strategies more adaptive. A right, guys,
- 1:15:45Speaker 6: we're talking to Ravens this week, Paul, is a little
- 1:15:47Speaker 6: bit directed towards you.
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: How many times did.
- 1:15:50Speaker 6: The Patriots and Ravens have to play before the Ravens
- 1:15:53Speaker 6: finally beat the Patriots? This, of course nineteen ninety six
- 1:15:56Speaker 6: Cleveland and Baltimore, So starting in nineteen ninety six, how
- 1:15:59Speaker 6: many times did they play? Patriots won quite a few
- 1:16:02Speaker 6: of the first round of the first matchups?
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: How many? And what was the first Raven's victory over
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: the Newland Patriots?
- 1:16:09Speaker 3: What was the first Ravens victory over the Patriot there?
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: Start there? Memorable one?
- 1:16:16Speaker 3: Was it the playoff game in nine?
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 1:16:19Speaker 2: Yeah, wow, good, Paul, thirty three fourteen?
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: That was that was how long it took.
- 1:16:23Speaker 3: I'm gonna say the Ravens won seven. I mean the
- 1:16:27Speaker 3: Patriots won seven in.
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: A row, bow close five five, five times?
- 1:16:31Speaker 3: So ninety six, forty six, thirty eight.
- 1:16:35Speaker 20: Exactly, ninety nine, yep, twenty to three correct, Jesus, uh baby,
- 1:16:44Speaker 20: it's rainy, rainey.
- 1:16:45Speaker 3: No, no, no, no, no. I'm trying to think. Was it
- 1:16:47Speaker 3: three or old four? I'm gonna say, oh, four, right,
- 1:16:50Speaker 3: And that ended up being a blowout because there was
- 1:16:53Speaker 3: like a Jarvis Green fumble recovery in the end zone.
- 1:16:56Speaker 3: Twenty four, yes, yes, again.
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: You got two more, probably got four. This one's pretty famous, okay.
- 1:17:08Speaker 3: Seven at Baltimore Rex Ryan time out.
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: Barscott throwing the flag into the stands.
- 1:17:17Speaker 3: Game ends with a Kyle Bowler hail Mary. That fell
- 1:17:21Speaker 3: about four yard show that completed, that fell about four
- 1:17:24Speaker 3: yards short of the end zone. I can't think of
- 1:17:27Speaker 3: the score of the game though, but Gerbard Gaffney lay
- 1:17:30Speaker 3: touchdown to win it. I just can't think.
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: Twenty seven four one more, one more?
- 1:17:34Speaker 3: All right, So that was seven. I'm gonna say they
- 1:17:37Speaker 3: played in the nine regular season right here?
- 1:17:41Speaker 2: Correct?
- 1:17:43Speaker 3: Might it have been a wouldn't have been the second
- 1:17:45Speaker 3: iteration of Dion Branch No, not yet, No, I can't
- 1:17:51Speaker 3: think of it again. The twenty seven one, twenty seven
- 1:17:54Speaker 3: it's a Derek Mason game. Is that the game where
- 1:17:57Speaker 3: look at the scoreboard, Mason, that was there.
- 1:17:59Speaker 2: You go out right?
- 1:18:00Speaker 3: This was like, shut the bleep up, Mason, look at
- 1:18:02Speaker 3: the school boy.
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: I just set this one up and you knocked it down.
- 1:18:05Speaker 6: Paul, that was I think that might have been my
- 1:18:06Speaker 6: most impressive performance by you.
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: I thought you'd remember the ninety six one.
- 1:18:10Speaker 6: I didn't think you get the exact score two bless
- 1:18:12Speaker 6: so twenty five for thirty nine three ten four teddies.
- 1:18:15Speaker 3: Why do you think I remember the game?
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: That's try to him up for that.
- 1:18:19Speaker 3: Wigham may have had a block punt return for a touchdown, Yes.
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: Bruski, I think maybe they were get him a touchdown block?
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: Correct this guy, look at the brain on Brad. I
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: never run to the locker room so I.
- 1:18:31Speaker 8: Can get any more power to run all the time.
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: You got to check on the boys.
- 1:18:36Speaker 2: I have to leave them twelve minutes. You know I'll
- 1:18:38Speaker 2: be back.
- 1:18:39Speaker 3: What is it when you come back. I have a
- 1:18:41Speaker 3: bone to pick with you about yesterday's trip to the
- 1:18:43Speaker 3: locker room, but I'll wait till you come back.
- 1:18:45Speaker 2: Oh boy, reporter, So what we're going to do in
- 1:18:47Speaker 2: twelve minutes takes them? You get a vibe check takes
- 1:18:50Speaker 2: you two minutes to get there, two minutes to get back,
- 1:18:52Speaker 2: So now he has eight minutes.
- 1:18:54Speaker 8: And that's if they let you in on time. Right,
- 1:18:57Speaker 8: you might be sitting outside going in there.
- 1:18:59Speaker 3: I'm a little word about it.
- 1:19:00Speaker 2: He just waves, it's.
- 1:19:02Speaker 8: A reporter social hour, exactly.
- 1:19:05Speaker 2: Exactly who's in there working.
- 1:19:09Speaker 3: I'm going to give Fred more logs to throw on
- 1:19:11Speaker 3: the fire. So yesterday he comes in. Basically, Wednesday is
- 1:19:14Speaker 3: just to check in with Steph Dicks. Okay, right when Mike.
- 1:19:21Speaker 9: Rights and I had to talk talk to Marcus Jones
- 1:19:23Speaker 9: about something too, So there's a little meaning.
- 1:19:26Speaker 3: But I mean yesterday he Wednesday is when he goes.
- 1:19:30Speaker 3: It's generally because Diggs talks every Wednesday.
- 1:19:33Speaker 2: Has to hold the mink.
- 1:19:34Speaker 3: How was how was Diggs? Now? Diggs, I think for
- 1:19:38Speaker 3: the first time showed a little sign after a loss.
- 1:19:43Speaker 3: I think he did that. He did fine. I'm not
- 1:19:45Speaker 3: trying to make a Felgrin maz out of it, but
- 1:19:48Speaker 3: there was a little sign of you know, I think
- 1:19:52Speaker 3: he said bleep, you know, I don't know, like I
- 1:19:55Speaker 3: always want the ball or you know, he got back
- 1:19:59Speaker 3: to saying like we have a lot of good players
- 1:20:01Speaker 3: and we gotta you know, we gotta find a way
- 1:20:03Speaker 3: to get you know, everybody. But but you know how
- 1:20:05Speaker 3: the questions were about how are you dealing with maybe
- 1:20:07Speaker 3: a lesser role, limited plan time, and he kind of said,
- 1:20:12Speaker 3: you know, it's been an adjustment. Mike didn't really give
- 1:20:15Speaker 3: us any of that that stuff. I heard all those
- 1:20:17Speaker 3: quotes when I was on the radio later. So that's
- 1:20:21Speaker 3: the bone I have to pick with Douche.
- 1:20:22Speaker 2: Yes, let's do it. Let's do it.
- 1:20:23Speaker 9: When those dig scrums are packed, they're intense, Like most
- 1:20:28Speaker 9: of that, you're just holding your hand praying.
- 1:20:30Speaker 3: Really hear what he says. Yeah, That's happened to me
- 1:20:32Speaker 3: millions of times.
- 1:20:34Speaker 4: It's tough spiing.
- 1:20:35Speaker 2: Fresno writes in I'm in lockstep with Paul's takes and
- 1:20:38Speaker 2: how he arrived at them. Regarding the different reasons for
- 1:20:41Speaker 2: Lamar and Josh Allen's postseason losses, Evan's annoyance ari complaints
- 1:20:46Speaker 2: about Drake's lack of comeback charges in Crunch Time is
- 1:20:50Speaker 2: justified if he's responding to people who think the case
- 1:20:53Speaker 2: is closed on Drake's ability there. The case is not closed.
- 1:20:57Speaker 2: Like I wrote yesterday, Drake is zero to one but
- 1:21:00Speaker 2: Evan is out of his mind skewing things to view
- 1:21:02Speaker 2: Drake positively. Now when he discounts the real importance of
- 1:21:05Speaker 2: late game comeback charges, name me three great Super Bowl
- 1:21:09Speaker 2: winning quarterbacks who didn't consistently lead those throughout their career.
- 1:21:13Speaker 2: I'll spot you one, Aaron Rodgers.
- 1:21:14Speaker 3: I was going to say, they only have one and
- 1:21:16Speaker 3: that's it. Yeah, he's the only one who won a
- 1:21:18Speaker 3: Super Bowl and really wasn't great in those situations.
- 1:21:20Speaker 2: No, I agree with Spie. Great quarterbacks are usually made
- 1:21:25Speaker 2: great by those moments. I agree, you know, so you
- 1:21:28Speaker 2: have to have those moments in your career. But again
- 1:21:33Speaker 2: we're not.
- 1:21:34Speaker 3: Even getting I thought Speed gave those details. Yeah, it'll come,
- 1:21:41Speaker 3: He'll have chances to do it, and then we'll you know,
- 1:21:43Speaker 3: then we might change, you know, hopefully for the better,
- 1:21:47Speaker 3: but you know, if it's not, then you got to
- 1:21:49Speaker 3: sort of change the way you look at things.
- 1:21:52Speaker 2: Curtis and Saint Louis correct me if I'm wrong. He says,
- 1:21:55Speaker 2: if the Patriots win the next two games and Buffalo
- 1:21:58Speaker 2: loses at least one, that's the earliest the Patriots can
- 1:22:01Speaker 2: clinch the division. That is correct, that's correct. Second question, outside.
- 1:22:06Speaker 3: Of other wards, A win for the Patriots this week
- 1:22:08Speaker 3: and a loss for Buffalo does not clinch the division.
- 1:22:11Speaker 2: Right. Uh. Second question, outside of Drake May, which player
- 1:22:16Speaker 2: that was on this team last year has taken the
- 1:22:19Speaker 2: biggest leap?
- 1:22:21Speaker 3: Which player that was on it besides Drake May?
- 1:22:24Speaker 2: Besides Drake Man.
- 1:22:27Speaker 8: Yeah, he's a great year. I don't know if it's
- 1:22:29Speaker 8: that big of a leap, but I.
- 1:22:32Speaker 3: Think he I think that's a good one.
- 1:22:33Speaker 2: I think he's gotten the most recognition certainly now.
- 1:22:36Speaker 3: I think that's a good one. Maybe Booty, Yeah, that's
- 1:22:40Speaker 3: a good one.
- 1:22:40Speaker 2: That's a real good one. Yeah.
- 1:22:43Speaker 3: But I like Marcus Jones better than Kashawan Boody. Not
- 1:22:45Speaker 3: the player, I mean saying the example as this as
- 1:22:48Speaker 3: the bigger leap. I was trying to think of who
- 1:22:54Speaker 3: else was around last year that's played really well.
- 1:22:57Speaker 9: I think Marcus has done a lot for his reputation
- 1:22:59Speaker 9: as a defense under two. Like he was always like
- 1:23:02Speaker 9: just really like revered for what he does in special teams.
- 1:23:06Speaker 8: But I think he now has a lot of respect
- 1:23:08Speaker 8: as a slot corner.
- 1:23:10Speaker 3: I know I can speaking just for myself, I would
- 1:23:12Speaker 3: say I would put myself in that category. I have
- 1:23:14Speaker 3: not necessarily been a huge believer of him as a corner.
- 1:23:18Speaker 3: I think he's had a really good year as a
- 1:23:19Speaker 3: corner this year.
- 1:23:21Speaker 2: Yeah, I think that covers it in terms of guys
- 1:23:24Speaker 2: who were here last year and making significant leaps.
- 1:23:28Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm just looking at the rot you know, like
- 1:23:31Speaker 3: the names of all the you know, Stevenson, Henry, He's no,
- 1:23:37Speaker 3: no huge leaps there. You know, a when who's been better,
- 1:23:40Speaker 3: but no huge leap.
- 1:23:42Speaker 2: What's going on with Hooper and his production?
- 1:23:45Speaker 3: Hooper at the tight ends have sort of kind of disappeared.
- 1:23:49Speaker 3: I wonder about his because remember you had to miss
- 1:23:51Speaker 3: a little time with an injury. I wonder if he's
- 1:23:54Speaker 3: banged up a little bit too. But he's had a
- 1:23:55Speaker 3: good year. Hooper's had a good year lately. No, he's
- 1:23:59Speaker 3: but Henry didn't do anything lately either.
- 1:24:01Speaker 8: Teams like paying more attention to the tight Ends or something.
- 1:24:04Speaker 3: That's what I'm thinking is they're getting defended a little
- 1:24:07Speaker 3: bit because.
- 1:24:08Speaker 9: Last year a Hunter and Hooper where I think I
- 1:24:10Speaker 9: think the end of the year is the best tight
- 1:24:12Speaker 9: end tandem. So I don't know, maybe they were just
- 1:24:15Speaker 9: getting more attention or.
- 1:24:16Speaker 2: Could be, but usually you know, earlier he was good
- 1:24:19Speaker 2: for like those Yeah, you know two catches a game
- 1:24:21Speaker 2: that were you know, for sure key catches. I'm not
- 1:24:25Speaker 2: seeing that now. Nelson's in La. What's up, Nelson?
- 1:24:31Speaker 3: What's what guys?
- 1:24:31Speaker 12: We're doing good, man, We're doing good.
- 1:24:35Speaker 2: Bro.
- 1:24:35Speaker 12: We lost this week, but I'm excited for the next
- 1:24:38Speaker 12: game coming up. Like you're saying, I'm not trying to
- 1:24:40Speaker 12: hide for no team. Let's get it going.
- 1:24:42Speaker 3: On, right, We're gonna get going.
- 1:24:46Speaker 2: I like it.
- 1:24:48Speaker 3: I like hearing your your radio.
- 1:24:50Speaker 5: You know, all the time.
- 1:24:51Speaker 11: I hear you.
- 1:24:52Speaker 3: I can't call it the time because I work nice shoes,
- 1:24:54Speaker 3: but I hear it all the time.
- 1:24:55Speaker 2: Though, got to pay the bills.
- 1:24:57Speaker 3: I hear you, yeah when we're here, and you can
- 1:24:58Speaker 3: always listen to us later that podcast.
- 1:25:01Speaker 2: But you know, think don't don't get it wrong.
- 1:25:03Speaker 14: I haven't been calling, but you know I hear you
- 1:25:05Speaker 14: all the time.
- 1:25:05Speaker 2: Yeah, yep, that's great. Appreciate that, Nelson. You've spread the
- 1:25:08Speaker 2: word too out in LA. Thank you for the call.
- 1:25:12Speaker 2: Kyle has an over undergame. Uh while we wait for
- 1:25:15Speaker 2: Duce to get back in five minutes, I'm only kids.
- 1:25:19Speaker 2: Drake May passing yards two hundred and fifty and a
- 1:25:22Speaker 2: half over over.
- 1:25:24Speaker 8: Under, Oh, three hundred yard game, that's right.
- 1:25:28Speaker 2: Drake May passing touchdowns two and a hay under, well,
- 1:25:33Speaker 2: I said, I'll say over, he's getting three Hundre's gonna
- 1:25:36Speaker 2: have some rushing touchdowns too.
- 1:25:38Speaker 3: Oh well, that's passing touchdown.
- 1:25:41Speaker 2: That's right. That's why I say I like by saying
- 1:25:43Speaker 2: under two and a hey, doesn't mean.
- 1:25:46Speaker 8: The receivers back involved.
- 1:25:48Speaker 2: Okay, Henderson rushing yards seventy five and a hay Henderson,
- 1:25:55Speaker 2: I'm gonna say under, I'll make.
- 1:25:57Speaker 8: Like one play and get that. Yeah tricky, I know.
- 1:26:01Speaker 3: Yeah, he got me on that. Two weeks ago. The
- 1:26:04Speaker 3: number that we had was like sixty four and a half. Yeah,
- 1:26:07Speaker 3: and like his last carry of the night it went
- 1:26:09Speaker 3: twenty six yards against the Giants and you got sixty five.
- 1:26:13Speaker 2: There you go, like sounds a killer. Yeah, I think
- 1:26:18Speaker 2: it's gonna be split. So I'm gonna say under, Henderson
- 1:26:21Speaker 2: rushing touchdowns one and a hay under Yeah, Henry rushing yards,
- 1:26:30Speaker 2: Oh for them, I'm gonna hunter Henry Derrick Henry rushing
- 1:26:34Speaker 2: yards seventy five and a hay.
- 1:26:39Speaker 3: It's a good number.
- 1:26:40Speaker 2: I'm gonna say O say over.
- 1:26:42Speaker 3: Yeah, right around that he's gonna have a huge.
- 1:26:45Speaker 8: Was last week his first hundred yard rushing game in
- 1:26:46Speaker 8: a while or something.
- 1:26:48Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 1:26:49Speaker 3: I can look that up.
- 1:26:50Speaker 2: While you're looking that up, total score forty five and
- 1:26:54Speaker 2: a hay over.
- 1:26:57Speaker 8: Over.
- 1:27:01Speaker 2: I'm gonna say under based on what my score prediction
- 1:27:05Speaker 2: is going to be.
- 1:27:05Speaker 3: Okay, Yeah, So he's had a few like he had
- 1:27:07Speaker 3: ninety four the game before that, then he had sixty
- 1:27:10Speaker 3: sixty four in those two games between, and then one
- 1:27:13Speaker 3: O three seventy five one nineteen seventy one two. So
- 1:27:18Speaker 3: he's been back and forth a little bit.
- 1:27:20Speaker 2: And Kyle's prediction is Patriots thirty one seventeen. Love it.
- 1:27:25Speaker 2: There you go. Let's see uri rites in uh first
- 1:27:33Speaker 2: of Forromos, Happy Christmas. We get into that time right
- 1:27:37Speaker 2: almost there? What what's today? The seventeen eighteen?
- 1:27:40Speaker 5: Wow?
- 1:27:40Speaker 8: Less than a week or years?
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: Ready, it's a week from.
- 1:27:42Speaker 3: No, I am ready?
- 1:27:44Speaker 2: Are you ready? You're all set?
- 1:27:45Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 1:27:45Speaker 2: I got When you say ready.
- 1:27:47Speaker 8: Is all set?
- 1:27:48Speaker 3: I got no, I got everything wrapped already.
- 1:27:50Speaker 2: What about food?
- 1:27:50Speaker 8: You wrap th food personally?
- 1:27:53Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 1:27:54Speaker 2: I bet you. He's a good rapper.
- 1:27:55Speaker 8: I just are you good at it?
- 1:27:56Speaker 3: I am not?
- 1:27:58Speaker 19: Well?
- 1:27:58Speaker 8: I saw what Evan has for Yankee swap and the
- 1:28:01Speaker 8: way it was wrapped it.
- 1:28:02Speaker 2: And it's you already saw his present.
- 1:28:04Speaker 9: Yeah, he made me bring it up to run. No,
- 1:28:05Speaker 9: I didn't see the present. I saw the rape.
- 1:28:07Speaker 2: But you now know which one is his?
- 1:28:10Speaker 1: That's true.
- 1:28:11Speaker 9: I want to know because I don't want to pick his.
- 1:28:13Speaker 9: It could get stolen from me.
- 1:28:14Speaker 2: Anyways, you don't know what to know who brought what right?
- 1:28:18Speaker 2: Isn't that part of it? Yeah?
- 1:28:20Speaker 9: But when he sits next to me and he's lazy
- 1:28:22Speaker 9: and doesn't want to walk up to the suite to.
- 1:28:24Speaker 3: Drop it off, he really is the fact that he
- 1:28:26Speaker 3: even lies.
- 1:28:27Speaker 2: He was like, Matt is you know?
- 1:28:29Speaker 8: He was like, are you going to bring your gift?
- 1:28:31Speaker 8: I was like, yeah, I'm going to take a walk
- 1:28:32Speaker 8: up there. He's a great Is he going to come?
- 1:28:34Speaker 8: He's like no, but I want you to take mine.
- 1:28:36Speaker 3: Yes, Mike and I this first thing this morning.
- 1:28:38Speaker 8: We're both excited to get drop steps in and.
- 1:28:42Speaker 3: There was a bunch of.
- 1:28:44Speaker 2: Yuri's question, is is there any possibility the Dynasty uniforms
- 1:28:50Speaker 2: two thousand to twenty eighteen make a comeback, maybe as
- 1:28:53Speaker 2: the throwback uniform.
- 1:28:56Speaker 9: No, how far removed from I feel like maybe in
- 1:29:00Speaker 9: like twenty years.
- 1:29:01Speaker 2: Yeah, it's way.
- 1:29:02Speaker 3: Too I don't think you. Yeah, I agree with you.
- 1:29:05Speaker 8: And what's mad? How like it has to be like
- 1:29:07Speaker 8: another generation?
- 1:29:08Speaker 2: I feel like before to me, the current uniforms are
- 1:29:11Speaker 2: too close to those. Yeah, we're like you have to
- 1:29:15Speaker 2: get away from that to throw back to it. I
- 1:29:18Speaker 2: don't know, I don't even know what I'm saying. Let's
- 1:29:23Speaker 2: go to Eldred, North Carolina. What's up Eldred?
- 1:29:26Speaker 11: Hey, fellas lady, how you doing good? Eldrim off today?
- 1:29:29Speaker 11: Ain't in the truck? Good for you cut me off yesterday?
- 1:29:32Speaker 11: But it's cool.
- 1:29:33Speaker 14: But I was going to ask, if.
- 1:29:36Speaker 11: You meet with Josh McDaniels, can you ask him why
- 1:29:40Speaker 11: you always throw deep to a slow receive and you
- 1:29:42Speaker 11: got somebody on the side to run the four two
- 1:29:44Speaker 11: or four to three and he never shooting a shot?
- 1:29:47Speaker 3: Who would that be? Who are we talking about?
- 1:29:52Speaker 11: We're talking about when you throw it to number thirteen.
- 1:29:56Speaker 11: But you got Kyle Williams sitting on the sideline.
- 1:29:58Speaker 3: They dialed up a couple of deep shots to Kyle
- 1:30:00Speaker 3: Williams on Sunday. He was covered and they weren't able
- 1:30:03Speaker 3: to execute him. But they I would say conservatively, they
- 1:30:07Speaker 3: dial up a deep shot to Kyle Williams once a
- 1:30:10Speaker 3: game they give they give him a shot that there
- 1:30:15Speaker 3: was a play in this game that was coming toward
- 1:30:17Speaker 3: our side, the press box side that end zone. Uh,
- 1:30:21Speaker 3: and they had it double covered. I think when he's
- 1:30:24Speaker 3: in the game, Eldrid, they kind of on the lookout
- 1:30:28Speaker 3: for something downfield. Big play potential with Kyle Williams.
- 1:30:34Speaker 11: Okay, yeah, one more question, ye, Paul Uhude, this was
- 1:30:39Speaker 11: Kid on Evan Show yesterday and there's a lot of
- 1:30:41Speaker 11: people call him from North Carolina and we're worried about
- 1:30:45Speaker 11: their clutch day because the game and they were the
- 1:30:50Speaker 11: game and the game that you got to have it.
- 1:30:54Speaker 11: Drake haven't showed up that well. We're figuring he's young,
- 1:30:57Speaker 11: you get it into it, but a lot of us
- 1:31:00Speaker 11: we saw the same thing.
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: Yeah, we just warndery.
- 1:31:03Speaker 3: We'll see now. Like I just like I said, I'm
- 1:31:05Speaker 3: not telling you that it's nothing to worry about. I'm
- 1:31:07Speaker 3: just saying I don't think we have enough evidence yet.
- 1:31:11Speaker 3: But I know you guys have been watching them in college.
- 1:31:13Speaker 3: You guys have a little bit more background with him. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:31:17Speaker 3: he's better and in your defense, Biggie, you talked about
- 1:31:20Speaker 3: that in the pre draft process.
- 1:31:23Speaker 2: In the locker room. What was the mood where the
- 1:31:25Speaker 2: players fand into that none of them looked.
- 1:31:28Speaker 3: Like Riick Henry hammock.
- 1:31:33Speaker 7: Rock, Like, what was it?
- 1:31:36Speaker 6: Like, I'm back, everybody, did you miss me? I ran
- 1:31:40Speaker 6: over to the locker room real quick.
- 1:31:41Speaker 2: Down the minute.
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: Now, not a lot to report today, unfortunately, just kind
- 1:31:45Speaker 1: of quiet.
- 1:31:46Speaker 2: A lot of it was only there for funny.
- 1:31:48Speaker 3: Everybody else thought there was a lot.
- 1:31:50Speaker 1: Well, I said, robertsplen Is in a boot? Is that
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: what it was?
- 1:31:53Speaker 4: This?
- 1:31:53Speaker 1: What did I not have an.
- 1:31:54Speaker 3: The Dicks comments, which one when you talked about you
- 1:31:59Speaker 3: may him about his sort of limited role and you know,
- 1:32:03Speaker 3: he was okay, and he was kind of like blee,
- 1:32:05Speaker 3: you know, oh yeah, I mean he was okay. I'm
- 1:32:08Speaker 3: not suggesting that he was in sndiary or anything like that,
- 1:32:11Speaker 3: but I thought that was kind of the first sign
- 1:32:14Speaker 3: after a loss that he wasn't a big part of that.
- 1:32:18Speaker 3: He was like yeah, I'm over here.
- 1:32:19Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 1:32:20Speaker 1: Yeah, sometimes he did, but he did a good job.
- 1:32:24Speaker 3: He I thought he did a good job of sort
- 1:32:25Speaker 3: of straddling the line there not Yeah.
- 1:32:28Speaker 1: Now I remember that response.
- 1:32:30Speaker 3: But but I heard it when I was driving to
- 1:32:36Speaker 3: do my show, and I was like, I heard it.
- 1:32:42Speaker 6: Okay, yeah, yeah, I had no excuse I should. I'm
- 1:32:45Speaker 6: gonna be better on that. But we didn't have any
- 1:32:46Speaker 6: scrums today, so nothing to not report. But did see
- 1:32:50Speaker 6: Terrell Williams walk through again. Uh see will Campbell walking through? Uh,
- 1:32:54Speaker 6: you know, no brace and I don't want to talk
- 1:32:57Speaker 6: about limps.
- 1:32:57Speaker 1: He looked fine. Uh but you know, decent energy is
- 1:33:01Speaker 1: as quick.
- 1:33:01Speaker 6: They just they just got us in, So I just
- 1:33:03Speaker 6: you know, wanted to get in make sure everything was good.
- 1:33:04Speaker 1: Island. You didn't see did not see Spallaine.
- 1:33:07Speaker 2: And he was pow wowing, which Splaine came by in
- 1:33:11Speaker 2: a wheelchair.
- 1:33:13Speaker 1: Every day gets a little right, the leg's gone.
- 1:33:16Speaker 2: No one one.
- 1:33:16Speaker 1: Good little Evan note and I'll let him maybe talk
- 1:33:19Speaker 1: about it on the shows next week.
- 1:33:20Speaker 6: But there was a good clip from Kirk Cousins on
- 1:33:23Speaker 6: the Internet's talking about you know, reading through defenses and
- 1:33:27Speaker 6: went on a little die trap about it all. He
- 1:33:31Speaker 6: described it, and Evan went over to Drake and was
- 1:33:33Speaker 6: asking Drake about it, just kind of on a one
- 1:33:34Speaker 6: on one, and I caught a little bit of the
- 1:33:36Speaker 6: response of Drake kind of explaining, oh, this is what
- 1:33:38Speaker 6: I did in college. And so it seemed like Evan
- 1:33:40Speaker 6: was getting some some good info. So we'll tee that out.
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: Maybe for next week he can he can talk about
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: that a little bit.
- 1:33:45Speaker 3: And Alex on the the follow up, you just asked,
- 1:33:48Speaker 3: did you hear it or did you see it?
- 1:33:50Speaker 2: I would.
- 1:33:50Speaker 3: I think I know why you asked, because I would
- 1:33:52Speaker 3: agree reading it sounded worse and you can hearing it. Yeah,
- 1:33:57Speaker 3: I felt way better about it. But I did hear
- 1:33:59Speaker 3: it when I was driving in. But then Phil Perry,
- 1:34:01Speaker 3: I think, wrote it up and they were reading the
- 1:34:04Speaker 3: quotes when we were on, and I was like, they
- 1:34:06Speaker 3: definitely read worse than they sound.
- 1:34:08Speaker 8: You need the tone and you need the whole.
- 1:34:10Speaker 3: Right, the whole thing. And he didn't Phil. Into Phil's credit,
- 1:34:13Speaker 3: he put the whole answer in.
- 1:34:14Speaker 8: A lot of times are like crap.
- 1:34:16Speaker 9: Of course, I wish I was getting the ball more,
- 1:34:19Speaker 9: but dot dot dot but the butt dot dot.
- 1:34:21Speaker 3: Didn't do that. I don't want to throw full out
- 1:34:23Speaker 3: of the bus. Bill put the whole thing in, but
- 1:34:25Speaker 3: reading it, it came off a little bit harsher than
- 1:34:27Speaker 3: it sounded.
- 1:34:28Speaker 2: Media literacy, all right, well, listen, it's that time of
- 1:34:32Speaker 2: the week, Paul, what happened last week?
- 1:34:41Speaker 3: Okay? Young Evan took the took the week last week
- 1:34:44Speaker 3: at ten and six, followed by Paul at nine and seven,
- 1:34:48Speaker 3: Fred and Alex eight and eight, and Mike at seven
- 1:34:50Speaker 3: and nine. So pretty mediocre week with the spread, uh.
- 1:34:56Speaker 3: Sticking with the adiquosity Paul at eight and eight, followed
- 1:35:01Speaker 3: by Evan and Fred at six and ten, Mike and
- 1:35:04Speaker 3: Alex at five and eleven.
- 1:35:05Speaker 1: Welcome, Welcome, Welcome to the basement.
- 1:35:08Speaker 7: So playing my actual music.
- 1:35:20Speaker 2: I again, it's Thursday.
- 1:35:26Speaker 3: I like it.
- 1:35:27Speaker 7: How have a song?
- 1:35:31Speaker 3: She's blowing?
- 1:35:33Speaker 4: Hi?
- 1:35:34Speaker 1: Mom, No, I have a song. I got ang Maya
- 1:35:36Speaker 1: I finally made.
- 1:35:38Speaker 3: So the season standings now getting to the nitty gritty,
- 1:35:41Speaker 3: only three weeks left or some of that. Alex maintains
- 1:35:45Speaker 3: her one game lead over Fred one forty five seventy
- 1:35:48Speaker 3: eight and one to one forty four seventy nine and one.
- 1:35:51Speaker 3: Paul has moved into third place at one thirty eight
- 1:35:54Speaker 3: eighty five and one. Truly remarkable comeback turnaround one thirty
- 1:35:59Speaker 3: seven eighty six and one for Mike, so only one
- 1:36:01Speaker 3: game behind me and Evan one thirty two ninety one
- 1:36:06Speaker 3: and one. That's just poor to mean for ball mower.
- 1:36:10Speaker 3: Uh with the spread Fred one eighteen one oh four
- 1:36:14Speaker 3: and two. But uh uh uh oh come conten Yes,
- 1:36:19Speaker 3: well one fourteen one oh eight and two. So I'm
- 1:36:23Speaker 3: only four games back.
- 1:36:24Speaker 2: With three to play, with three weeks to go.
- 1:36:27Speaker 3: Uh, that's good. Evan one O seven one fifteen and two,
- 1:36:30Speaker 3: Alex one O five one seventeen and two, and Mike,
- 1:36:34Speaker 3: it's really ninety ninety two one thirty and two.
- 1:36:41Speaker 1: Gracious, you will fade me.
- 1:36:42Speaker 2: Goodness, gracious, he says, that's bad. Even it would be
- 1:36:48Speaker 2: if you were wad. This is what this is.
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: This is all the all the evidence I need to
- 1:36:53Speaker 1: never have to gamble.
- 1:36:54Speaker 2: So there you go.
- 1:36:55Speaker 6: But I should just be the opposite, right, I should
- 1:36:57Speaker 6: just start kissing yourself.
- 1:36:59Speaker 1: Yeah, myself. I'm gonna think this is what I'm gonna do.
- 1:37:01Speaker 8: And then last night that is what my heart is
- 1:37:03Speaker 8: telling me.
- 1:37:04Speaker 2: All right, let's get into it. We gotta hurry because
- 1:37:07Speaker 2: there's no buys tonight Thursday night on Prime it's the
- 1:37:11Speaker 2: eleven and three Rams against the eleven and three Seahawks.
- 1:37:17Speaker 1: Big game, great game. Will you put this one on
- 1:37:19Speaker 1: tonight Paul this, this is worthy of firing up the service.
- 1:37:22Speaker 3: About it today, and I think I just might, especially.
- 1:37:25Speaker 1: With the boys home Amazon Prime.
- 1:37:26Speaker 3: Here my guesses I won't be seeing the Boys because
- 1:37:29Speaker 3: I don't know. They just go off and do lose
- 1:37:31Speaker 3: Seattle by one and a half.
- 1:37:33Speaker 2: One and a half.
- 1:37:34Speaker 1: Oh wow, that's interesting.
- 1:37:35Speaker 6: That flipped on it did great game. Usually I go
- 1:37:39Speaker 6: with Seattle at home. I'm gonna go with Matthew Stafford
- 1:37:41Speaker 6: and the Rams though. I just have a little bit
- 1:37:44Speaker 6: more belief in him than sam Donold at this point
- 1:37:47Speaker 6: of the year.
- 1:37:47Speaker 1: So I'm gonna take the Rams and I'll take those points.
- 1:37:51Speaker 9: I'm gonna take Seattle. Really, Sean McVay had a kid
- 1:37:55Speaker 9: this week. Pooka has some drama.
- 1:37:58Speaker 3: No DeVante Adams.
- 1:38:00Speaker 9: Having issues with their playing apparently. Yeah, so what about
- 1:38:04Speaker 9: the dad's strength for the coach though? Yeah, I'm thinking
- 1:38:08Speaker 9: of coming up with game plans when you had a
- 1:38:11Speaker 9: kid midweek.
- 1:38:12Speaker 1: He's tired, fleet of people.
- 1:38:16Speaker 8: Right, sticking with it Seattle.
- 1:38:21Speaker 3: I'm with Alex. I'm gonna take Seattle. I like you know,
- 1:38:27Speaker 3: I believe the Rams are the best table football, But
- 1:38:30Speaker 3: Thursday night home game, Division game, I take the home
- 1:38:33Speaker 3: team Seattle.
- 1:38:34Speaker 2: Evan was saying on the X that it wasn't a
- 1:38:39Speaker 2: good idea to have such a big game on a
- 1:38:41Speaker 2: Thursday night. It wasn't fair to either team.
- 1:38:43Speaker 3: I kind of agree. I would agree.
- 1:38:45Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm gonna go with the Rams. I think they're
- 1:38:48Speaker 2: just the better team. Do you take anything off last
- 1:38:52Speaker 2: game last week Seattle's performance? I mean, I know they.
- 1:38:55Speaker 3: Won, but the Sam Donald thing, to me is worth
- 1:38:59Speaker 3: wondering about us. You're starting to get the Donald bias
- 1:39:03Speaker 3: are coming regression?
- 1:39:04Speaker 6: Yeah, I just I guess I have a little bit
- 1:39:06Speaker 6: of recency bias, catching a little bit of the Rams
- 1:39:08Speaker 6: last week. I just don't impressed with Matthew Stafford. How confidence,
- 1:39:12Speaker 6: smooth in command.
- 1:39:13Speaker 2: He looks pro. We have two Saturday games this week,
- 1:39:18Speaker 2: the first one Saturday at five o'clock odd time. But
- 1:39:22Speaker 2: I'll take it. Philadelphia nine and five at Washington four and.
- 1:39:26Speaker 3: Ten, Philly by six and a half. Now, where can
- 1:39:29Speaker 3: we can consume these games?
- 1:39:31Speaker 1: Fox on Fox on Fox nice one for business.
- 1:39:35Speaker 3: I might be able to watch because I can click
- 1:39:37Speaker 3: back and forth for college football playoffs. Yeah, I understand
- 1:39:40Speaker 3: my dilemma.
- 1:39:41Speaker 9: I understand on a Saturday, I get it on a Sunday.
- 1:39:44Speaker 8: I don't understand what else is going.
- 1:39:46Speaker 3: On to watch the games on Sunday.
- 1:39:49Speaker 9: Red zone? Yeah, or do you flipping between red zone
- 1:39:53Speaker 9: and what else?
- 1:39:53Speaker 10: Oh?
- 1:39:54Speaker 3: No, red zone is concerting. There's a play all the time,
- 1:39:56Speaker 3: there's no commercials.
- 1:39:57Speaker 1: Matt Lock. I'll take Philly and I'll lay the points.
- 1:40:07Speaker 8: Philly, Philly.
- 1:40:09Speaker 3: I'm gonna take Philly as well. Yeah, Washington is just
- 1:40:14Speaker 3: a time and a half, six and a half. Eagles
- 1:40:16Speaker 3: a favorite body.
- 1:40:17Speaker 2: I'm gonna take Philly, but I will take the points.
- 1:40:20Speaker 2: I will take the points. Saturday, eight twenty on Fox.
- 1:40:26Speaker 2: A good game, the nine to four and one Packers
- 1:40:30Speaker 2: at the ten and four.
- 1:40:31Speaker 3: Bears Chicago by one and a half.
- 1:40:36Speaker 1: Flip two, Yeah, great game.
- 1:40:38Speaker 6: Tough loss for green Bay last week, losing Michael Parsons
- 1:40:41Speaker 6: and Christian Watson.
- 1:40:43Speaker 1: I'm gonna go Chicago.
- 1:40:44Speaker 6: I think this is a big win for for Ben
- 1:40:46Speaker 6: Johnson and I'm gonna lay the point and a half.
- 1:40:49Speaker 8: I'm gonna take Chicago too.
- 1:40:52Speaker 3: I thought I would be alone in this one, but
- 1:40:53Speaker 3: I will take the Bears.
- 1:40:56Speaker 2: I'm gonna take the Packers.
- 1:40:58Speaker 6: Got just just my instinct getting interesting between you what
- 1:41:03Speaker 6: he's doing?
- 1:41:04Speaker 2: What am I doing?
- 1:41:05Speaker 1: I know, I know, making an interest.
- 1:41:07Speaker 3: You know what you did? Curse.
- 1:41:09Speaker 2: I just I feel like Green Bay is gonna win.
- 1:41:11Speaker 2: I go buy Fields, Freddy Fields, Freddy Feels, go By Fields.
- 1:41:18Speaker 2: Sunday at one Fox Tampa Bay seven and seven at
- 1:41:23Speaker 2: the Panthers seven and seven.
- 1:41:26Speaker 3: Tampa Bay by three.
- 1:41:28Speaker 6: Just a gross loss for them last week. Hearing them
- 1:41:31Speaker 6: talk about it, they seemed disgusted with themselves. Uh So
- 1:41:34Speaker 6: I'm gonna pick Tampa to bounce back, even though y'all
- 1:41:38Speaker 6: know I love me some Panthers.
- 1:41:40Speaker 8: Tampa Tampa.
- 1:41:41Speaker 7: I guess.
- 1:41:44Speaker 3: God that division should be just throwing a vision that
- 1:41:47Speaker 3: whole division should be relegated. I'll take Tampa both ways.
- 1:41:52Speaker 2: I'm gonna take Carolina, Wow, big surprise. Gonna take Carolina
- 1:42:00Speaker 2: Sunday at one on CBS. Buffalo ten and four at
- 1:42:05Speaker 2: Cleveland three and eleven.
- 1:42:07Speaker 3: Buffalo by ten and a halfeesh.
- 1:42:12Speaker 6: So I'm gonna take Buffalo to win, of course, but
- 1:42:15Speaker 6: I'm gonna take the points. Just maybe one of those
- 1:42:17Speaker 6: weird little letdown games for Buffalo where they're not quite
- 1:42:20Speaker 6: as sharp.
- 1:42:21Speaker 3: It's got to be a little bit of a letdown.
- 1:42:25Speaker 8: Tempting, tempting, same thing. I guess.
- 1:42:33Speaker 3: I'm gonna do the same thing. I don't like being
- 1:42:35Speaker 3: aligned with Deuce, but I kind of agree. I mean they,
- 1:42:40Speaker 3: you know, shootout against Tampa a few weeks ago, you know,
- 1:42:44Speaker 3: shootout against Cincinnati to come back against the mean at
- 1:42:47Speaker 3: some point you don't play that well. Yeah, And I
- 1:42:50Speaker 3: think they'll do enough to win on the road, But
- 1:42:52Speaker 3: ten and a half on the road, that's a lot.
- 1:42:54Speaker 3: I'll take the point.
- 1:42:55Speaker 2: I thought i'd be alone on this one. I'm taking
- 1:42:57Speaker 2: the points too. I'm going into the window with the points.
- 1:43:00Speaker 11: Uh.
- 1:43:01Speaker 2: You know, the Bills won their Super Bowl last week,
- 1:43:03Speaker 2: let's say s it, you know, so there's got to
- 1:43:05Speaker 2: be a lot true, there's got to be a letdown.
- 1:43:07Speaker 2: They win the game, but they don't cover all right.
- 1:43:10Speaker 2: Sunday at one on Fox, the Chargers at ten and
- 1:43:14Speaker 2: four at Dallas six seven and.
- 1:43:16Speaker 3: One, Dallas by two and a half.
- 1:43:19Speaker 1: M It's a tough one for me.
- 1:43:22Speaker 6: As you can tell from my record, They're all probably
- 1:43:24Speaker 6: pretty tough for me, whether I know it or not.
- 1:43:26Speaker 2: This whole thing is tough exercise segment.
- 1:43:30Speaker 1: But I'm gonna go with Dallas.
- 1:43:32Speaker 6: I think that their their defense has been playing better
- 1:43:34Speaker 6: and I think they'll get after Justin Herbert and do
- 1:43:36Speaker 6: enough to win by more than two and a half points.
- 1:43:39Speaker 3: Dallas, Dallas, Yeah this. You know, Fred likes to talk
- 1:43:44Speaker 3: about the spreads like when they're odd. This is an
- 1:43:47Speaker 3: odd spread to me. I will take the Chargers to
- 1:43:49Speaker 3: win the game.
- 1:43:50Speaker 2: I am with Paul Chargers win this game.
- 1:43:53Speaker 17: Uh.
- 1:43:54Speaker 2: Sunday at one, what, I don't know what you don't
- 1:43:59Speaker 2: want to be a Sunday at one on CBS. It's
- 1:44:04Speaker 2: the Jets three and eleven at New Orleans four and ten.
- 1:44:08Speaker 3: Speaking of the Jets, Deuce is playing the role of
- 1:44:10Speaker 3: the Jets, just trying to be spoiler, that's all. I'm
- 1:44:13Speaker 3: trying to do the Jets at New Orleans, New Orleans
- 1:44:17Speaker 3: by four and a half. The Jets, since I always.
- 1:44:20Speaker 6: Go first, I need to start planning some misinformation. Of course,
- 1:44:24Speaker 6: I made huge news for New Orleans. You know what's
- 1:44:26Speaker 6: going on there, so I really feel great about them.
- 1:44:29Speaker 1: I'll take New Orleans. How many points?
- 1:44:31Speaker 3: Four and a half?
- 1:44:31Speaker 6: Oh yeah, I gotta lay those based on all that
- 1:44:33Speaker 6: recent news that I heard about the Saints.
- 1:44:36Speaker 9: Crazy really, I already had it written down, so I'll
- 1:44:39Speaker 9: just go with it.
- 1:44:40Speaker 8: New Orleans New Orleans.
- 1:44:45Speaker 3: Can the Jets be that bad?
- 1:44:47Speaker 14: Yeah?
- 1:44:48Speaker 3: I mean New Orleans. I'm gonna pick Orleans to win
- 1:44:50Speaker 3: at home. Yeah, I'll lay the points. New Orleans both ways?
- 1:44:53Speaker 2: Yeah, New Orleans both ways is the play they're playing.
- 1:44:57Speaker 3: They're being spunky strut with Tyler Shuck.
- 1:45:01Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, they beat the pan.
- 1:45:04Speaker 2: How big is your unit?
- 1:45:08Speaker 1: I think it's four point five?
- 1:45:09Speaker 3: Okay, bigger than that.
- 1:45:13Speaker 1: That's what pretty average spread.
- 1:45:14Speaker 3: I mean, I was just tossing mic and discuss.
- 1:45:18Speaker 2: It depends on what game I want.
- 1:45:23Speaker 3: That's a big spread on a red zone. Uh.
- 1:45:26Speaker 2: Sunday at one on Fox, it's Minnesota at six and
- 1:45:30Speaker 2: eight against the Giants two and.
- 1:45:33Speaker 3: Twelve, Minnesota by three.
- 1:45:37Speaker 2: Wow. Oh so this to me, this is an interesting
- 1:45:41Speaker 2: what the sharps?
- 1:45:43Speaker 15: No?
- 1:45:43Speaker 1: Yeah, do you guys catch any of that?
- 1:45:45Speaker 3: What were the records again? Six and eight, two and twelve,
- 1:45:49Speaker 3: And you're wondering why the road team is favorite?
- 1:45:52Speaker 2: Yeah? By only three? Oh, by only three? Well it's
- 1:45:55Speaker 2: J J.
- 1:45:56Speaker 1: McCarthy. Uh, I'm gonna take J. J. McCarthy, I think obviously.
- 1:46:01Speaker 6: I mean, he's just on fire right now and they're
- 1:46:04Speaker 6: easily gonna win this game out later.
- 1:46:05Speaker 8: Points Minnesota Minnesota.
- 1:46:08Speaker 3: Uh, yeah, I don't think Minnesota is good enough to
- 1:46:11Speaker 3: be favored on the road. I will take it. I
- 1:46:13Speaker 3: will take the Giants. Oh bad team.
- 1:46:15Speaker 2: Wow, that's yeah. But the Giants are really bad.
- 1:46:18Speaker 3: They are, but out at home. I think that they'll
- 1:46:21Speaker 3: show some. Yeah every once a month, Yeah, they show some.
- 1:46:24Speaker 2: I'm gonna hot I'm taking Minnesota both ways. Uh, this
- 1:46:28Speaker 2: is a this is a good one. Though. The sharps
- 1:46:32Speaker 2: are telling us something here, so Paul might be onto something.
- 1:46:36Speaker 2: Sunday at one at CBS. UH, the playoff eliminated Kansas
- 1:46:41Speaker 2: City Chiefs are at the playoff eliminated Tennessee Titans six
- 1:46:46Speaker 2: and eight against two and twelve.
- 1:46:48Speaker 3: Kansas City by three.
- 1:46:51Speaker 1: It's a really tough one with Gardner Minshew.
- 1:46:55Speaker 2: Of course, it's a really big shoe.
- 1:46:57Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm gonna go Withansas City in this one, but
- 1:47:03Speaker 6: I'm going to take the points for Tennessee. I think
- 1:47:04Speaker 6: they kind of keep it close. I think they've been
- 1:47:06Speaker 6: a little a little frisky at home.
- 1:47:07Speaker 8: Spread one more time.
- 1:47:08Speaker 21: I'm sorry, three flat four Kansas City, Kansas City by three, Tennessee.
- 1:47:19Speaker 3: Al Right, the cover Kansas City and Tennessee sound.
- 1:47:24Speaker 1: Like you shifted gears there.
- 1:47:26Speaker 3: No, I'm taking the Chiefs both ways. I don't can't
- 1:47:32Speaker 3: take tennis.
- 1:47:33Speaker 2: From what I heard out of the Chiefs locker room,
- 1:47:35Speaker 2: you got to take the Chiefs.
- 1:47:36Speaker 1: Some of them aren't even sure they've been eliminated.
- 1:47:39Speaker 2: Mahomes was hurt.
- 1:47:45Speaker 7: I love this already.
- 1:47:47Speaker 1: Did you say the garnermentship.
- 1:47:52Speaker 2: Kansas City both ways? Sunday one on CBS Cincinnati four
- 1:47:57Speaker 2: and ten at Miami six and eight.
- 1:48:01Speaker 3: Uh, Cincinnati by four and a half.
- 1:48:03Speaker 1: Geez, I guess our line was before they benched.
- 1:48:08Speaker 6: This is the interesting one to me where it's just
- 1:48:09Speaker 6: it's like for nothing, and you know, Cincinnati you're close.
- 1:48:12Speaker 1: To getting, like, you know, a good drop pick.
- 1:48:14Speaker 6: Don't win, But I think they're gonna I'll take Cincinnati
- 1:48:18Speaker 6: and I'm gonna lay the points.
- 1:48:19Speaker 8: Cincinnati Cincinnati.
- 1:48:21Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm gonna take Cincinnati both ways too. With Quinn
- 1:48:24Speaker 3: Yours playing quarterback. Yeah, I think Borrow's gotta snap out.
- 1:48:30Speaker 2: Of it a little.
- 1:48:31Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:48:31Speaker 3: Yeah, I love Joe Burrow. But all right, bro, I
- 1:48:33Speaker 3: get it, you're down. You gotta play too.
- 1:48:36Speaker 2: You think you'll have fun this week?
- 1:48:38Speaker 3: I don't know. Yeah, probably not going to Miami. Why
- 1:48:41Speaker 3: not what's not that.
- 1:48:41Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm gonna go with Cincinnati to win the game.
- 1:48:44Speaker 2: I think Burrow, like, I don't know what's going on
- 1:48:47Speaker 2: up in Cincinnati as a result of his remarks, but
- 1:48:50Speaker 2: I gotta imagine there's a lot swirling and so he's
- 1:48:53Speaker 2: gonna come out to show everybody. Yeah, I'm still engaged.
- 1:48:56Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:48:57Speaker 2: So I think he'll have a good game. And I
- 1:48:59Speaker 2: think the sharps that too. That's that's why. All right, Uh, Sunday,
- 1:49:04Speaker 2: Now we go to four oh five on Sunday, it's Fox,
- 1:49:09Speaker 2: and it's Atlanta five and nine at Arizona three and eleven.
- 1:49:14Speaker 3: Atlanta by three.
- 1:49:17Speaker 1: Ah boy, Jacoby Brissett versus Kirk Cousins.
- 1:49:20Speaker 2: Oh boy.
- 1:49:21Speaker 1: Uh, I don't know. I'm gonna go with the upset
- 1:49:26Speaker 1: and go Arizona.
- 1:49:29Speaker 8: Atlanta Atlanta.
- 1:49:34Speaker 3: I guess they just have to play these games. Huh.
- 1:49:37Speaker 3: I'm gonna take Arizona at home.
- 1:49:40Speaker 2: You're a sucker for Arizona.
- 1:49:42Speaker 3: No, I think they stink.
- 1:49:43Speaker 8: They're so bad.
- 1:49:44Speaker 3: And every week you watch like the beginning of the
- 1:49:47Speaker 3: game and announce just tell you how well Brissette's playing.
- 1:49:49Speaker 3: And I'm like, I watch these games. He's not playing
- 1:49:51Speaker 3: like it's this, it's the typical. Yeah, he does turn
- 1:49:56Speaker 3: the ball over like early in the game, and that's
- 1:49:58Speaker 3: how they fall behind. And he gets a whole bunch
- 1:50:00Speaker 3: of plastic yards at the end of the game when
- 1:50:02Speaker 3: it's over, like Trey McBride ends up with like thirteen
- 1:50:05Speaker 3: catches when they're getting killed. Yeah, he stinks.
- 1:50:08Speaker 2: I mean, as excited as we are about the turnaround
- 1:50:10Speaker 2: the Patriots had. If you're an Atlanta fan, aren't you
- 1:50:14Speaker 2: so disappointed? Like thinking, you know, we're coming into the
- 1:50:17Speaker 2: season with Pennix and we're gonna have a good and
- 1:50:19Speaker 2: like and we have all this talent, and what a disappointment.
- 1:50:23Speaker 2: But having said that, I'm gonna go with Atlanta both ways.
- 1:50:26Speaker 2: Here Sunday four or five, Fox Jacksonville ten and four
- 1:50:33Speaker 2: at Denver twelve and two.
- 1:50:35Speaker 3: Big game, Trevor Lawrence.
- 1:50:37Speaker 2: We turn our lonely eyes to you.
- 1:50:39Speaker 3: Big game, Denver by three.
- 1:50:42Speaker 1: Wasn't this just the game you were talking about ninety six?
- 1:50:45Speaker 6: Yeah, Jacksonville and Denver. Shoot, I'm going with Denver. I'm
- 1:50:50Speaker 6: gonna take Denver at home on lay the points.
- 1:50:57Speaker 3: It's three, Denver by three.
- 1:51:01Speaker 9: Denver wins. I feel like they play a lot of
- 1:51:04Speaker 9: close games, so we're gonna make it fun. Jacksonville covers.
- 1:51:08Speaker 3: I'm gonna take Denver both ways, but Jacksonville is impressing me.
- 1:51:12Speaker 3: They're starting to move into Maybe they were a little
- 1:51:17Speaker 3: better than people give them credit for territory with Houston
- 1:51:20Speaker 3: and Denver. I think they're behind those two teams. But
- 1:51:24Speaker 3: I think Denver gets it done at home as because why.
- 1:51:28Speaker 2: Fred they always play at home?
- 1:51:30Speaker 3: Correctly.
- 1:51:31Speaker 2: As I said earlier the week, the only silver lining
- 1:51:33Speaker 2: about Denver beating the Packers last week was the narrative
- 1:51:37Speaker 2: of the ANFC is not as good as the NFC. Well,
- 1:51:40Speaker 2: our team beat your team. If you're an NFC team, okay.
- 1:51:45Speaker 3: Direct your best team beat their seven seed.
- 1:51:48Speaker 2: Having said that, taking the jag Wow, taking the Jaguars.
- 1:51:55Speaker 1: First seed window back open.
- 1:51:59Speaker 2: Let's go Sunday four twenty five CBS. You like that out?
- 1:52:04Speaker 7: You like that so good?
- 1:52:07Speaker 2: Sunday four twenty five CBS. Pittsburgh eight and six at
- 1:52:10Speaker 2: Detroit eight and six.
- 1:52:12Speaker 3: Pittsburgh at Detroit, Detroit by seven.
- 1:52:17Speaker 1: Yeah, I like that number. Pittsburgh, I just I don't.
- 1:52:21Speaker 1: I'm not impressed with them at all. I'm gonna take
- 1:52:22Speaker 1: Detroit all later points.
- 1:52:24Speaker 8: Lions Lions.
- 1:52:27Speaker 3: Huh. So I'm gonna take the Lions both ways too.
- 1:52:30Speaker 3: It's gonna be one of these deals. Pittsburgh's gonna have
- 1:52:32Speaker 3: winning the Super Bowl, and I'm just gonna say, you know,
- 1:52:35Speaker 3: not very good, right, but I'll take the Lions.
- 1:52:39Speaker 2: Now, Folks, be careful. When there's a flat number, that
- 1:52:44Speaker 2: means that Vegas is probably hoping for a push. And
- 1:52:49Speaker 2: then you ask why, I don't know. Well, they get
- 1:52:51Speaker 2: the big right, but I'm going to take Detroit to
- 1:52:56Speaker 2: cover those seven points, which means they have to win
- 1:52:59Speaker 2: by at least eight. That's how it works. Sunday on CBS,
- 1:53:05Speaker 2: the Raiders at two and twelve are at Houston nine
- 1:53:10Speaker 2: and five.
- 1:53:12Speaker 3: Houston by fourteen and a half.
- 1:53:14Speaker 2: Houston with a really easy schedule.
- 1:53:16Speaker 6: Golly, mice, Molly, that's you know what I feel like.
- 1:53:21Speaker 1: It's a lot that Houston's gonna beat him by that much.
- 1:53:23Speaker 6: So I'm gonna go do the George Costanzo and I'm
- 1:53:25Speaker 6: gonna take the points for Vegas.
- 1:53:28Speaker 8: I was going to do that too.
- 1:53:31Speaker 2: It's a lot of points.
- 1:53:32Speaker 3: Yeah, same with me. I'll take Houston to win the game,
- 1:53:35Speaker 3: but Vegas has to show some hard after getting shut
- 1:53:39Speaker 3: out thirty one nothing last week or not. No, I
- 1:53:44Speaker 3: could mail it in and I could lose the pick.
- 1:53:45Speaker 3: But I'll take Houston to win. I'll take Vegas to cover.
- 1:53:48Speaker 3: But if you're dipper within two touchdowns, there's any.
- 1:53:51Speaker 2: Time for the Who's Honor? Speech? This week?
- 1:53:56Speaker 3: You know the ship be sinking.
- 1:53:58Speaker 2: The minority owner Brady needs to come in that locker
- 1:54:00Speaker 2: room and ask these people, this is your honor?
- 1:54:03Speaker 3: Yeah, who's honor? Your honor? You forgot what your family is?
- 1:54:09Speaker 2: Your family's honor, my honor.
- 1:54:12Speaker 8: Now on the booter.
- 1:54:14Speaker 2: With his Dave Garaway glasses. What is with those sunglasses?
- 1:54:18Speaker 1: Super cool? I love so much he's.
- 1:54:20Speaker 2: Selling time exs eighteen sixty.
- 1:54:22Speaker 3: Who did you take?
- 1:54:24Speaker 2: I don't know who. Oh, I don't know who. I'm
- 1:54:27Speaker 2: gonna I'm gonna take the points. I'm gonna take the points.
- 1:54:30Speaker 2: But Houston wins. Allright? All right? We skip over the
- 1:54:33Speaker 2: Patriots Sunday night at eight twenty, and we go to
- 1:54:36Speaker 2: Monday at eight fifteen on ESPN, it's the forty nine
- 1:54:40Speaker 2: Ers ten and four. Some people think the most underrated
- 1:54:43Speaker 2: team in the league at indy eight and six.
- 1:54:48Speaker 3: San Francisco by six and a half six and a half.
- 1:54:53Speaker 3: I would agree that the Niners are right now, yeah, underrated.
- 1:54:57Speaker 1: Yeah, that's why I'm gonna go with them. And I'll
- 1:54:58Speaker 1: lay those points against Philip.
- 1:55:00Speaker 8: Rivers all those weeks with Mac Jones, bang bang Niner gang.
- 1:55:06Speaker 3: So I will take San Francisco to find a way
- 1:55:08Speaker 3: to win the game, but i'll take the points.
- 1:55:10Speaker 2: Really, six and a half into the Philip.
- 1:55:12Speaker 3: Six and a half at home. But that's that's a
- 1:55:14Speaker 3: lot of points.
- 1:55:15Speaker 2: Yeah, but you know, here's the thing. Rivers did well
- 1:55:18Speaker 2: for himself. He didn't throw up all over him, so
- 1:55:22Speaker 2: he great moment, did pretty well. But that's it. That's it.
- 1:55:24Speaker 2: They're not gonna score a lot of points and forty
- 1:55:27Speaker 2: nine as well. That's why they're giving him the six
- 1:55:29Speaker 2: and a half so they cover.
- 1:55:32Speaker 6: I wonder how he's feeling this week after jumping back
- 1:55:34Speaker 6: into an NFL game like not having played one.
- 1:55:37Speaker 1: I wonder if it's gonna be all right.
- 1:55:38Speaker 2: Now we go back to Sunday night. It's the eleven
- 1:55:42Speaker 2: and three Patriots against the seven and seven Ravens.
- 1:55:47Speaker 3: Ravens by three.
- 1:55:49Speaker 2: Such disrespect? What disrespect?
- 1:55:52Speaker 1: That feels a well? Right, they get three, they're home,
- 1:55:55Speaker 1: all right, So y'all know me, I'm wrong about all everything,
- 1:55:57Speaker 1: and I'm going to pick the Ravens.
- 1:56:00Speaker 2: There you go.
- 1:56:00Speaker 6: So, you know, maybe it's kind of a reversion power
- 1:56:02Speaker 6: for good. But I think it's a tough spot.
- 1:56:04Speaker 1: For the Patriots.
- 1:56:05Speaker 6: They're they're banged up in the wrong spots, and I
- 1:56:07Speaker 6: think the Ravens need the game more and usually we
- 1:56:09Speaker 6: get this part of the year, especially with an MVP
- 1:56:12Speaker 6: caliber quarterback and Derrick Henry. I think they can get
- 1:56:15Speaker 6: it done. But I think the Patriots hang in there
- 1:56:17Speaker 6: and show some spunk. But I'm gonna take the Ravens
- 1:56:19Speaker 6: twenty seven to twenty three.
- 1:56:22Speaker 9: I will take New England twenty seven to twenty six.
- 1:56:29Speaker 3: So I think of this game similarly to the way
- 1:56:32Speaker 3: Mike is talking about it. And the bigger thing for
- 1:56:34Speaker 3: me than health, because the Ravens are beat to crap
- 1:56:36Speaker 3: two is the desperation factor that Mike just talked about.
- 1:56:42Speaker 3: I don't know which Ravens team will show up. They've
- 1:56:44Speaker 3: had some desperate situations that they've completely laid an egg
- 1:56:47Speaker 3: in and it. You know, maybe this will be another
- 1:56:49Speaker 3: one in the Patriots that come back with a big
- 1:56:51Speaker 3: win and make everybody feel better. I think that there's
- 1:56:55Speaker 3: some pride in that organization. I think they they got
- 1:56:58Speaker 3: to find a way to win a game at home
- 1:57:00Speaker 3: and give themselves a chance in the last two weeks.
- 1:57:02Speaker 3: So same scorer as my twenty seven to twenty three Baltimore. Okay,
- 1:57:06Speaker 3: you have little faith, it's not of little faith. I
- 1:57:08Speaker 3: think they absolutely can win.
- 1:57:10Speaker 2: Said I picked against the Patriots this week.
- 1:57:11Speaker 3: Patriots can absolutely win this this year.
- 1:57:16Speaker 2: The number, the score that came to me, twenty two
- 1:57:19Speaker 2: to nineteen Patriots.
- 1:57:21Speaker 1: It's a weird one.
- 1:57:22Speaker 2: Twenty two to nineteen. Patriots pull it out.
- 1:57:25Speaker 3: Every once in a while, he goes Berman.
- 1:57:26Speaker 2: Yeah. Now, I don't know if it's going to be
- 1:57:28Speaker 2: one of those last fourth quarter and so we still
- 1:57:31Speaker 2: won't have the evidence that people are looking for from
- 1:57:34Speaker 2: Drake May. But the team shows spunk against a very
- 1:57:39Speaker 2: tough Ravens team. I think the Patriots defense rises right.
- 1:57:47Speaker 2: You know, the Ravens will possess the ball, but you
- 1:57:50Speaker 2: might see a lot of threes instead of sevens, and
- 1:57:53Speaker 2: that's going to be the difference in the game. And
- 1:57:56Speaker 2: twenty two points is going to be enough. Twenty two
- 1:57:59Speaker 2: points is going to be enough.
- 1:58:00Speaker 3: It's a good theory. You know they tighten up the
