- 0:02Speaker 2: Is a founding member of the Odd Pods Media Network.
- 0:38Speaker 3: Yo, what up? Man? Will to episode two forty six?
- 0:45Speaker 4: Yeah, two forty six or five six?
- 0:50Speaker 5: At least at least two forty six, minimum two forty six.
- 0:54Speaker 5: If it's not forty six, it's to forty seven. But
- 0:56Speaker 5: it's one of those two numbers. And only you know
- 0:59Speaker 5: it right now because we don't.
- 1:01Speaker 1: We will find out.
- 1:02Speaker 5: Momentarily, but after you already known. You know things before
- 1:05Speaker 5: we know. And we started this first, and.
- 1:07Speaker 4: You're because the message is the com I'm telling us
- 1:11Speaker 4: how wraw The.
- 1:12Speaker 3: Last one was weird al yank Yes, and that was
- 1:16Speaker 3: forty five.
- 1:17Speaker 1: So forty six, man, I think, I hope so I
- 1:22Speaker 1: don't remember. I'm gonna say, yeah.
- 1:24Speaker 3: It is episode forty X, episode number. We can't keep
- 1:31Speaker 3: track of this ship. There's too many.
- 1:33Speaker 5: Actually, we got to the triple digits. It got too hot.
- 1:36Speaker 3: Wait, guys, we're approaching to fifty. We're we're a year
- 1:42Speaker 3: away from three hundred.
- 1:44Speaker 1: We got to plan that thing. Yeah, we got things.
- 1:47Speaker 3: To do, the stuff, things to do. We'll talk long year.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:53Speaker 3: Today, we we did originally have a plan to have
- 1:55Speaker 3: a guest and do a special show, but unfortunately their
- 1:59Speaker 3: device they're recording and talking device completely crapped out on
- 2:03Speaker 3: them and they weren't able to make it. So this
- 2:06Speaker 3: is going to be an unexpected and delightfully a chill show,
- 2:10Speaker 3: considering how heavy things have been lately. Yeah, so we're
- 2:15Speaker 3: just gonna chill acts, no games. We're just gonna hang out,
- 2:18Speaker 3: have fun, talking to each other and catching up on
- 2:21Speaker 3: what we've been doing the last couple of weeks, like
- 2:22Speaker 3: we usually do in a chill show. But of course,
- 2:26Speaker 3: you know, aside from me pants Sarah and your host,
- 2:28Speaker 3: we have as always. He's a gamer, a storyteller. He
- 2:31Speaker 3: used to be my youngest friend. Now he's a hot dog.
- 2:34Speaker 3: Doggie dog.
- 2:48Speaker 4: For the last time, it's a pod show.
- 2:51Speaker 1: It's not a bun.
- 2:54Speaker 3: It looks like a You look like a chili dog.
- 2:58Speaker 3: I will not let go of this.
- 3:02Speaker 1: What did you call him earlier?
- 3:06Speaker 4: Chilli dog?
- 3:07Speaker 1: God?
- 3:08Speaker 3: Damn it?
- 3:09Speaker 1: You need you need to make your third post on Instagram.
- 3:16Speaker 3: I I am just I'm just having fun, man, Jesus.
- 3:22Speaker 3: I apologize if it made you uncomfortable. It was not
- 3:25Speaker 3: my intention.
- 3:26Speaker 4: Well I was comfortable, but now I look now I'm
- 3:28Speaker 4: self conscious. Because it looks like a hot dog.
- 3:30Speaker 3: Apparently.
- 3:32Speaker 4: Well, I didn't realize that was that.
- 3:33Speaker 3: Fam anything, you look like a warm hot dog. Let's
- 3:35Speaker 3: put that way.
- 3:36Speaker 4: I am warm, and it is not warm outside.
- 3:39Speaker 5: No.
- 3:40Speaker 4: No, we are well and truly into winter now.
- 3:42Speaker 3: Yeah, well and truly into winter, the beginning first winter.
- 3:46Speaker 3: I'd say it could get worse, but we've already had
- 3:48Speaker 3: a fair amount of snow up here. Not as bad
- 3:50Speaker 3: as it could.
- 3:51Speaker 4: Honestly, it could have been worse.
- 3:53Speaker 3: The south town's got hit way not as much.
- 3:55Speaker 4: Rain as we usually get.
- 3:57Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, I'll take it. I'll take it. But yeah,
- 4:02Speaker 3: no fun getting to work this week, I imagine. But
- 4:06Speaker 3: I was in my new truck, so I was too
- 4:08Speaker 3: delighted to care. Really, I'll spend all the time in
- 4:11Speaker 3: this considering living in it.
- 4:15Speaker 1: I bet you're enjoying.
- 4:16Speaker 3: Get rent, just to you know, get it. Get a
- 4:18Speaker 3: couple of storage things and put all my crap in
- 4:21Speaker 3: there and just living.
- 4:22Speaker 1: There, parking one living the other climbate controlled ones. You're
- 4:30Speaker 1: good to go, man, Yeah, they got them.
- 4:33Speaker 3: That's not a bad idea. Yeah, although I'm pretty sure
- 4:37Speaker 3: not allowed.
- 4:37Speaker 1: To You're not. You just fell asleep one night that's
- 4:41Speaker 1: all happened.
- 4:42Speaker 4: Oh sure, you were working on property A yeah, tired.
- 4:46Speaker 1: You're bringing your tools back. I can't drive. I'm too tired.
- 4:49Speaker 5: If I drive, it's a hazard to other people. So
- 4:52Speaker 5: I figured, hey, there's a couch sitting in here, because
- 4:54Speaker 5: that's where I store.
- 4:54Speaker 4: My couch, computer and my fridge.
- 4:58Speaker 1: Because I've turned one.
- 4:59Speaker 5: On my job, I had to I do all my
- 5:00Speaker 5: paperwork and all my tools have to come here, so
- 5:02Speaker 5: it's secure.
- 5:03Speaker 3: Anyway. That guy is a veteran and a podcast and
- 5:07Speaker 3: as it turns out, a veteran podcast. You already know him,
- 5:10Speaker 3: you already love him. It's Stevie.
- 5:11Speaker 1: Hey you want to see it.
- 5:24Speaker 3: We've already seen it, sir. Oh yeah, we've already seen
- 5:27Speaker 3: it multiple times and in our nightmares.
- 5:32Speaker 4: Sometimes dreams don't times waking up from a night And
- 5:39Speaker 4: that's how you got pink.
- 5:41Speaker 3: Smell my candy corn.
- 5:48Speaker 1: I do eat a lot of candy corn. And yes
- 5:50Speaker 1: it is in the shape of a j He poops benches.
- 5:56Speaker 1: They're a little slaves our candy canes. The way you
- 5:59Speaker 1: look at can we not? I guess.
- 6:03Speaker 3: What the fuck? I guess We'll start with one of you.
- 6:08Speaker 3: What do we do what have you been up to
- 6:10Speaker 3: this week?
- 6:12Speaker 1: You start, I can't, no, no, I got so not
- 6:20Speaker 1: a whole lot.
- 6:21Speaker 4: I've been well and truly in my off season, but
- 6:24Speaker 4: we have been playing quite a few video games instead.
- 6:26Speaker 3: I see that.
- 6:28Speaker 4: Yeah, we've been playing a lot of well, we try
- 6:30Speaker 4: to play a lot of Call of Duty with the
- 6:32Speaker 4: news obviously stuff coming out in game Pass. You know,
- 6:34Speaker 4: you don't have to pay for it, so it's kind
- 6:36Speaker 4: of nice. But but we've been getting back into Vermin
- 6:40Speaker 4: Tide too, which, if you're familiar with, is basically a
- 6:44Speaker 4: left for Dead Lake made by uh Fat Shark based
- 6:50Speaker 4: on the Age of Sigmar forty K series, and it's
- 6:54Speaker 4: a lot of fun because instead of killing waves and zombies,
- 6:56Speaker 4: you're killing waves of Ratman, chaos soldiers and beast men.
- 7:02Speaker 1: Mm hmm. It's pretty cool.
- 7:04Speaker 4: It's the principles.
- 7:06Speaker 3: It's one of those games that I've always wanted to
- 7:07Speaker 3: get into, but just it just never seemed like we
- 7:09Speaker 3: could get a group together to actually play.
- 7:11Speaker 4: It, and you would have a full man group if
- 7:13Speaker 4: you got to do it now.
- 7:14Speaker 5: I d br fourth because I actually played it and
- 7:19Speaker 5: I don't like those first person melee games. But there's
- 7:21Speaker 5: a character in there, and it's almost all range.
- 7:23Speaker 3: Yeah, I think characters had guns in the first.
- 7:27Speaker 4: Ye yes, yep, and they still doing the second one.
- 7:29Speaker 4: In fact, they just had a update recently that added
- 7:32Speaker 4: a versus modet. Yes, we haven't done it yet, so
- 7:36Speaker 4: hot fun fact. Left for Dead and its early iteration
- 7:41Speaker 4: was specifically made for versus mode before it was made
- 7:46Speaker 4: for campaign in co op, which is which is why
- 7:50Speaker 4: it launched with versus so interesting. Vermin Tide, on the
- 7:53Speaker 4: other hand, despite it being very similar in mechanics and
- 7:56Speaker 4: everything like, that was not so they had to basically
- 8:00Speaker 4: rebuild the game from the ground up just to implement
- 8:02Speaker 4: this versus mode.
- 8:04Speaker 3: So how would versus mode work? Are you still getting
- 8:07Speaker 3: attacked by Ratman and Skip?
- 8:09Speaker 4: They got specials that act just like all the specials
- 8:11Speaker 4: in Left for Dead act, and there's a whole bunch
- 8:14Speaker 4: of them. And then there are certain spawns now you
- 8:17Speaker 4: can get to just like just like in Left for Dead,
- 8:21Speaker 4: Those spawns weren't available before until they literally went back
- 8:25Speaker 4: to the previous maps they already made and reworked them
- 8:28Speaker 4: so it would work that way, right, and then also
- 8:31Speaker 4: rebalanced all the abilities.
- 8:34Speaker 1: But you play as one of the beast things.
- 8:36Speaker 4: You play as the ratman, just like how in Left
- 8:38Speaker 4: for Dead you played as the special Zombies whatever, there
- 8:41Speaker 4: are no neat so yeah, and each one has uni abilities.
- 8:44Speaker 4: There's fire rats, which are rats with giant green flame throwers.
- 8:49Speaker 4: There are Vombitiers, which are to throw grenades, hook rats
- 8:53Speaker 4: where you got these like big.
- 8:56Speaker 1: They're almost like scythes, but they have chicken.
- 8:58Speaker 4: There are hooks where if you grab so many with
- 9:00Speaker 4: them like around their next and your poll them kind
- 9:02Speaker 4: of thing, so it's like a grabbing pool, kind of
- 9:04Speaker 4: like the Smoker class from the other game, except instead
- 9:06Speaker 4: of that range close by. And of course there are
- 9:09Speaker 4: the big monster ones too. Like in uh Left for
- 9:12Speaker 4: Dead you played as the Tank, which is the big, bulky, healthy,
- 9:14Speaker 4: uh super health guy that could take a lot of
- 9:17Speaker 4: damage and then also be very slow. Same thing in
- 9:20Speaker 4: this one, except they have multiple different types of monsters,
- 9:24Speaker 4: including a bile troll, a rat ogre very kin to
- 9:28Speaker 4: the tank, and what's called a storm for no storm Fiend,
- 9:33Speaker 4: which is like the rat ogre except you have dual
- 9:37Speaker 4: flamethrowers attached to your wrist. Jesus, yeah, it's pretty fucking sick.
- 9:42Speaker 4: All on Chaos Bonds because you know, Chaos with Warhammer
- 9:45Speaker 4: and which are just kind of your frenzy thing. But yeah,
- 9:48Speaker 4: it's uh, it's really cool and you should definitely check
- 9:50Speaker 4: it out if there's something you're interested in.
- 9:52Speaker 3: All right, I'll get down.
- 9:53Speaker 1: Yeah, they got me into it because I mean it
- 9:55Speaker 1: was on sale and everything. I was like, oh, grab it,
- 9:57Speaker 1: why not? It was on sale.
- 10:00Speaker 5: The one I got came with the DLC with a
- 10:02Speaker 5: Gnome guy and he pulls out a chain gun the
- 10:05Speaker 5: dwarf crank. It's unlimited, amal. You just crank at the
- 10:08Speaker 5: charge and I'm like, oh my gosh, okay, and they
- 10:11Speaker 5: got me.
- 10:11Speaker 1: Say so, I'm like, why not?
- 10:14Speaker 5: It is funny because I'm actually sure I have to
- 10:15Speaker 5: look up that everybody in our party.
- 10:17Speaker 1: It's funny.
- 10:19Speaker 3: Literally you are everybody else.
- 10:22Speaker 4: It's kind of cool, but you are eye level with
- 10:25Speaker 4: the ratman.
- 10:27Speaker 3: Fair. Wow. Is that all you've been up to basically?
- 10:32Speaker 4: I mean it's that uh with uh call of duty,
- 10:36Speaker 4: mine's not going to be much different. Yeah, Like I
- 10:39Speaker 4: mean we've been playing playing though we got into the
- 10:42Speaker 4: Tavern Master and game.
- 10:44Speaker 3: Oh god. Yeah, everybody in your house is like into
- 10:46Speaker 3: raising their own tavern for some reason.
- 10:48Speaker 4: It's kind of cool idea to have your own tavern,
- 10:51Speaker 4: you know.
- 10:51Speaker 3: I mean, it's just funny. Like I bought a board
- 10:53Speaker 3: game like a couple of months ago called Taverns of
- 10:56Speaker 3: the I can't remember Germany, Germany that game, but it's
- 11:01Speaker 3: like a dice game. Like you you you roll dice
- 11:04Speaker 3: and you use the numbers you get on the dice
- 11:06Speaker 3: to improve your tavern to add like seeing or you know,
- 11:09Speaker 3: different kinds of drinks you can offer and it will
- 11:12Speaker 3: draw different customers.
- 11:14Speaker 1: To that's cool.
- 11:16Speaker 3: It's pretty neat. Look it looks fun. I haven't played
- 11:18Speaker 3: it yet, oh shit, yeah, it still remains unplayed, sadly.
- 11:21Speaker 5: Yeah, this one's like a SIMS thing, like you build
- 11:23Speaker 5: your tavern however you want to make money, hire more
- 11:26Speaker 5: people and build it up. But it's it's a lot
- 11:29Speaker 5: of fun so far. Like I mean, I've only played
- 11:31Speaker 5: it for a couple of days I had the time.
- 11:33Speaker 4: There's another one that RASPS got us to grab while
- 11:37Speaker 4: it was sad Traveler's Rest Travelers Rice, which is is
- 11:39Speaker 4: also a tavern simulator and stuff like that, but it's
- 11:43Speaker 4: currently well. Both the games were playing in early access,
- 11:47Speaker 4: but this one plans on having a multiplayer in the
- 11:50Speaker 4: next year.
- 11:51Speaker 1: Well, it actually does if it's the same screen.
- 11:53Speaker 5: If there are two devices, like a computer player can
- 11:56Speaker 5: have a control or animus keyboard, two people on there,
- 11:58Speaker 5: which is kind of cool.
- 11:59Speaker 4: So you got coat houch co op already, but they
- 12:01Speaker 4: plan on doing online co op.
- 12:03Speaker 1: What you can have like I could be the bartender something.
- 12:08Speaker 1: Not sure on how many.
- 12:09Speaker 4: I think it's for at least to start.
- 12:11Speaker 3: So and the board game, I was thinking of this
- 12:14Speaker 3: Taverns of Teeth and thal.
- 12:17Speaker 1: Yeah, we should do a board game night when we
- 12:19Speaker 1: come over.
- 12:20Speaker 3: Yeah, I've been saying it for years. I've also been
- 12:24Speaker 3: saying for years we should do a rock band night.
- 12:26Speaker 3: That hasn't ye fair. So yeah, I was just going
- 12:31Speaker 3: back and one of the things I've been doing this
- 12:33Speaker 3: past couple of weeks is going back and re listening
- 12:35Speaker 3: to our old episodes. Yeah, starting with about like number sixty,
- 12:39Speaker 3: I think, oh ship just before or pass, listen to
- 12:43Speaker 3: all that stuff. It was it was a real it
- 12:45Speaker 3: was a real, uh kind of emotional time capsule kind
- 12:50Speaker 3: of around there. But then we got into like stuff
- 12:52Speaker 3: like I couldn't believe I could still remember some of
- 12:55Speaker 3: this crap, like the one episode where Raspberry joined us
- 12:59Speaker 3: and you were not there. Yeah, just simply refused and
- 13:04Speaker 3: uh and uh just we just had a ball. And
- 13:07Speaker 3: that's what made me want to bring back the the
- 13:09Speaker 3: the List game one or the other. That one was
- 13:12Speaker 3: so much fun. We did like we did like what
- 13:15Speaker 3: was it?
- 13:16Speaker 6: It was like.
- 13:18Speaker 3: Chinese travel documentaries or porn films.
- 13:21Speaker 1: Oh yes, I forgot about that.
- 13:26Speaker 3: And it was like Asian delicacy.
- 13:28Speaker 1: You'd be like, oh man, it's both.
- 13:33Speaker 3: It was a lot of fun. It was. It was
- 13:35Speaker 3: very funny. We laughter, we laughed ts off.
- 13:37Speaker 1: Hell yeah.
- 13:39Speaker 3: And so that's what made me want to bring it back,
- 13:41Speaker 3: and I'm so glad I did because the sperm bank
- 13:43Speaker 3: thing would not have happened without it.
- 13:44Speaker 1: And that was so fun.
- 13:46Speaker 3: That was absolutely hilarious. And I hope more just organic
- 13:53Speaker 3: hilarious stuff comes of that, but we'll see it comes.
- 14:00Speaker 4: Ip Cremo Land.
- 14:02Speaker 3: But anyway, and I think I just listened to like
- 14:05Speaker 3: episode eighty and back then we were talking about doing
- 14:09Speaker 3: a rock band night.
- 14:10Speaker 1: Holy fuck, it's been three years. Well we haven't had
- 14:14Speaker 1: the instruments.
- 14:15Speaker 5: To do it.
- 14:16Speaker 4: I'm sure, I'm sure we mentioned it to each other
- 14:18Speaker 4: on a on a on a casual episode at least
- 14:21Speaker 4: once a year, like we should.
- 14:23Speaker 3: I was just kind of struck by, like, how holy shit,
- 14:25Speaker 3: we talked about that three years ago and into we
- 14:27Speaker 3: just never did it. We just never did it.
- 14:29Speaker 1: Yeah, we definitely need to get those drums. We get
- 14:31Speaker 1: some drums. Were good to go. We already got two
- 14:34Speaker 1: micsh Hell.
- 14:35Speaker 4: Even a second guitar for bass would be fun.
- 14:37Speaker 1: Yeah, you bring a guitar over, I got mine. We're
- 14:41Speaker 1: good to go.
- 14:43Speaker 3: Yeah I can't.
- 14:44Speaker 1: We got Yeah, we got like three mics maybe.
- 14:46Speaker 3: During it just depends on what system it's for.
- 14:49Speaker 1: Xbox.
- 14:49Speaker 4: We were actually one time one time we were talking
- 14:53Speaker 4: about it. We're like, yeah, when we play it, well,
- 14:55Speaker 4: like we should make sure that we have enough mics
- 14:57Speaker 4: for everybody, even with the instruments, because you can still
- 15:00Speaker 4: sing along when you're buying the instrument if you know
- 15:03Speaker 4: the song, it wouldn't be that hard.
- 15:05Speaker 3: Yeah, and we do have you just won't get scored
- 15:08Speaker 3: in the game.
- 15:08Speaker 5: We have Mike Stands, like we can actually have it
- 15:11Speaker 5: up if you want to sing and play at the
- 15:12Speaker 5: same time.
- 15:13Speaker 1: Stands to do it. Because I was like, yeah, I
- 15:15Speaker 1: already got the extra had.
- 15:16Speaker 3: I tried that once and it wasn't awful like I didn't.
- 15:19Speaker 3: I didn't funk up too bad on either side. Really,
- 15:21Speaker 3: it was kind of it was it was. It was
- 15:23Speaker 3: a weird challenge, but I would do it again.
- 15:25Speaker 4: It's easier you know the song, well yeah, yeah, you know,
- 15:28Speaker 4: if you know.
- 15:29Speaker 3: The song backwards, then it's it's much easier. But I mean,
- 15:31Speaker 3: if you're just going along with it like I was,
- 15:33Speaker 3: I'm like, oh, oh, all right, figuring out the song
- 15:38Speaker 3: on the fly on both guitar and swinging.
- 15:43Speaker 1: And I don't know what they did, but they up
- 15:45Speaker 1: we passed.
- 15:45Speaker 5: They updated rock band four recently because we played and
- 15:50Speaker 5: then we stopped, and then I brought it down.
- 15:52Speaker 1: Like a week or so ago during break excuse me.
- 15:56Speaker 5: And I was playing our hard and it felt like
- 15:59Speaker 5: experts and I don't know what the hell happened, but
- 16:01Speaker 5: there wasn't updates. So we started playing medium and that
- 16:04Speaker 5: almost felt like hard.
- 16:05Speaker 1: So I'm like, this is odd, but yeah, I.
- 16:07Speaker 4: Think they might have either up the tempo or added
- 16:10Speaker 4: a few more notes to some of the more difficulties,
- 16:13Speaker 4: because because they did feel a little disjointed when we
- 16:16Speaker 4: tried them last.
- 16:17Speaker 1: Yeah, but yes, it feels a lot better though, but ye,
- 16:19Speaker 1: it's more difficult. But I was like, okay, or at
- 16:21Speaker 1: least not have.
- 16:22Speaker 3: Still have a couple of wired Xbox three sixty guitars
- 16:26Speaker 3: that should work on Xbox one or Xbox Series S
- 16:30Speaker 3: or x whatever the fuck they're now. I think they'll work.
- 16:35Speaker 3: At least I'm under the assumption that they would work.
- 16:37Speaker 1: That'd be great because yeah.
- 16:39Speaker 3: Because they their ex input. So I mean I figured,
- 16:42Speaker 3: I figure it'll work.
- 16:43Speaker 1: But I don't know, right, Like I have to use
- 16:45Speaker 1: a dongle to work a work on mine? Do the
- 16:50Speaker 1: Mind's wireless dingle or.
- 16:51Speaker 3: Dongle, Stevie's wireless dingle, It's Bluetooth now a big.
- 17:04Speaker 4: Now supports five g.
- 17:07Speaker 3: It always supported one at least one, least.
- 17:11Speaker 1: One up to five. Then I get tired. You have
- 17:15Speaker 1: to take a nap. Waitnte, we should talk about the
- 17:19Speaker 1: same thing.
- 17:21Speaker 3: Any other video games or other things.
- 17:25Speaker 4: Let's see anything else taking here of the house.
- 17:29Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:29Speaker 4: Other than that, it's just been fighting a cold.
- 17:32Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah sucks. It's terrible.
- 17:35Speaker 4: It's horrible, especially when you live in a area where
- 17:38Speaker 4: the wind tends to really whip up. Yeah, Like, no
- 17:43Speaker 4: matter how much insallation you seem to have between you
- 17:46Speaker 4: and it's never enough, is ever? But yeah, other than that,
- 17:52Speaker 4: I've not been up to much else.
- 17:54Speaker 3: What about you, Steve? I was gonna say we should
- 17:57Speaker 3: take a break.
- 17:58Speaker 4: Steve, Well, okay, then let's take it very for this.
- 18:02Speaker 3: Yeah, fuck Steve, We'll wait.
- 18:04Speaker 1: Yeah, it's all good. I needed a break from sitting
- 18:07Speaker 1: here just chilling.
- 18:09Speaker 4: I need a break from listening to both of you.
- 18:12Speaker 3: All right, gentle listeners, we'll be back right after this.
- 18:25Speaker 7: If you like fun, then you're gonna love the beard

- 18:55Speaker 3: Hey man, welcome back. We're gonna go through some some
- 19:00Speaker 3: stuff you guys sent us. Uh, Stevie, what do we got?
- 19:03Speaker 1: We got some comments on our patreons. Heck yeah. So
- 19:07Speaker 1: the first one from show two forty four, the Loneliest
- 19:10Speaker 1: Naked Catch, which was freaking fun as hell. Dude, that
- 19:14Speaker 1: was freaking awesome.
- 19:16Speaker 3: Oh it's incredible. I can't wait to hear what people said.
- 19:20Speaker 1: We had David m comment on their epic episode. Thanks guys.
- 19:24Speaker 5: He actually messaged later on to I Believe in a
- 19:29Speaker 5: different format and is like, how he really enjoyed it.
- 19:32Speaker 1: I was like, that's fucking cool, dude, I mean, we
- 19:35Speaker 1: really enjoyed it.
- 19:36Speaker 4: Yeah, it was a good time.
- 19:37Speaker 3: I laughed so hard, so hard during the beverages and
- 19:43Speaker 3: sperm bank. Oh my, I will never forget that as
- 19:46Speaker 3: long as I live. That was hilarious. Yeah, that was
- 19:49Speaker 3: on the That was on the level of like b
- 19:51Speaker 3: e r fuck you.
- 19:54Speaker 1: Oh my god, I forgot about that.
- 19:57Speaker 3: Jesus frill. That's just the kind of thing that the
- 20:02Speaker 3: kind of thing that set me off. Will never not
- 20:05Speaker 3: make me laugh.
- 20:06Speaker 1: It's so good.
- 20:08Speaker 3: I will I will reference cream Land.
- 20:13Speaker 1: I think that was all of our favorite one. I'm
- 20:16Speaker 1: pretty sure the best one. Oh yeah, fuck.
- 20:21Speaker 3: What else we got? We got anything else?
- 20:23Speaker 8: Oh?
- 20:23Speaker 5: Yeah, we had from show number two forty five, the
- 20:26Speaker 5: last episode, my sweet Little weird al Yanko victims.
- 20:30Speaker 3: Can't go pick.
- 20:32Speaker 5: I didn't read that one one this comment, Oh yeah,
- 20:37Speaker 5: that episode was with Russ and Lauren from Infections Beard
- 20:40Speaker 5: from the Odd Pods obviously the Odd Pods Media Network.
- 20:43Speaker 5: Here our comment comes from William M. I'm buying tickets
- 20:48Speaker 5: for that concert too. He's actually going to the same
- 20:50Speaker 5: one in Detroit.
- 20:51Speaker 1: Oh, so yeah, you should do.
- 20:55Speaker 3: We should do a meet up. Maybe we should see
- 20:57Speaker 3: what see if we can go what is possible would
- 21:00Speaker 3: be cool.
- 21:00Speaker 1: That'd be kind of neat. So yeah, we'll have to
- 21:02Speaker 1: definitely look into that too. Because I'm hot.
- 21:04Speaker 3: And while we're discussing episode two forty five, last one,
- 21:08Speaker 3: I need to apologize to anybody who listened to that episode.
- 21:13Speaker 3: I was just so smitten with Lauren and Russ that
- 21:18Speaker 3: I unprofessionally forgot to close the show. I was just
- 21:22Speaker 3: I was in this place of love and I'm just
- 21:24Speaker 3: I'm literally just gazing at them, like I love you
- 21:27Speaker 3: guys so much that my brain had fully switched over
- 21:31Speaker 3: to like we're we're saying goodbye to our dear friends.
- 21:35Speaker 3: And uh and I didn't, you know, didn't didn't even
- 21:38Speaker 3: bother to close the show. I have not listened to it. Yet,
- 21:41Speaker 3: as I said, I've jumped all the way back to
- 21:43Speaker 3: like episode this is gonna be a while untill actually
- 21:45Speaker 3: hear what Stevie did to close the show properly. So
- 21:48Speaker 3: I'm excited to hear, you know, him calling me names
- 21:51Speaker 3: and my stupid piece of ship forgot to close the show.
- 21:54Speaker 3: So now I have to do it. Fuckers, I didn't
- 22:00Speaker 3: That's what I would do.
- 22:02Speaker 1: I was thinking about it. You just edited just a
- 22:06Speaker 1: really quick ending, like it really like it doesn't even
- 22:09Speaker 1: say it at the end. I was like, you know
- 22:10Speaker 1: what then.
- 22:15Speaker 3: And everything.
- 22:17Speaker 1: It was a crazy week.
- 22:18Speaker 4: I got no place to say anything because, like, if
- 22:22Speaker 4: you've put all Patreon, you've you've seen what happens when
- 22:25Speaker 4: I try to record ads.
- 22:27Speaker 5: Speaking of ads and Augie recording them, there's actually a
- 22:30Speaker 5: comment on one of the Patreon ads we edited. We
- 22:33Speaker 5: also edit to our YouTube as well, so if you're
- 22:35Speaker 5: on YouTube and you aren't unfortunately following us on Patreon,
- 22:39Speaker 5: I'm kidding, you can see the ads on there as well.
- 22:42Speaker 5: But Aggie did one for peace, Love and Bud. We
- 22:44Speaker 5: actually did a video version. Well it's him talking, it's
- 22:47Speaker 5: just slideshows really, just the video but it's on YouTube,
- 22:51Speaker 5: it's on our Patreon. He yeah, and then Kristen Kristin
- 22:56Speaker 5: boasted on their well done Aggie because he did a
- 22:58Speaker 5: phenomenal job with it after it was all.
- 23:01Speaker 4: Uh, after Steve did a phenomenal job splicing it all
- 23:05Speaker 4: together to make it sound coherent.
- 23:08Speaker 1: But it sounds really good. I eat did a great job.
- 23:12Speaker 1: I didn't put in there that I edited. You should
- 23:15Speaker 1: have taken the credit, dude.
- 23:17Speaker 3: That's funny.
- 23:18Speaker 4: I can't take the credit for for success that isn't mine.
- 23:23Speaker 1: Well, without you, the ad would never exist. Yeah, so
- 23:27Speaker 1: thank you.
- 23:27Speaker 4: Well, without you, the ad would never make sense.
- 23:32Speaker 1: I should post the original one off what it happens?
- 23:35Speaker 1: I might just post is that everything? Oh yes, that's
- 23:39Speaker 1: all the comments, guys.
- 23:41Speaker 3: Our voicemail widget exists for a reason. Use it, man.
- 23:44Speaker 3: We love when you guys call in and have something
- 23:45Speaker 3: to say about the show. So please go to the
- 23:48Speaker 3: contact us section of our website b afy t B
- 23:50Speaker 3: pod dot com. Uh, click the contact us link and
- 23:53Speaker 3: then I'll take you straight to the voicemail widget. It's
- 23:55Speaker 3: a ninety second limit. You can just use your phone.
- 23:58Speaker 3: It'll be fine. Don't worries, and we love to hear
- 24:01Speaker 3: from you, no matter what it is.
- 24:02Speaker 5: In fact, I just cleared the whole mailbox. We got
- 24:05Speaker 5: tons of room in there too, so we're ready pile in.
- 24:09Speaker 3: Yep, everybody, everybody start calling, Just go nuts.
- 24:12Speaker 5: Don't go so crazy you say like a word or
- 24:14Speaker 5: recording or some ship, because that might feel correct and
- 24:17Speaker 5: it would just be like, hey, wait a minute, you
- 24:18Speaker 5: guys are popular, pay us, and I'm like, I don't
- 24:20Speaker 5: have money.
- 24:22Speaker 3: No.
- 24:23Speaker 1: I set up this widget so we wouldn't have to pay.
- 24:25Speaker 1: I had to like do coding and ship.
- 24:27Speaker 3: Fuck you my god.
- 24:29Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't like the code.
- 24:31Speaker 4: All right.
- 24:31Speaker 3: Well in that case, let's get back to the show. Yeah,
- 24:45Speaker 3: we're back with part two of our chill show. H. So, Stevie,
- 24:49Speaker 3: it is finally your turn. I'll tell us what these
- 24:53Speaker 3: past few weeks and you're off time when you're not
- 24:56Speaker 3: be a.
- 24:56Speaker 1: Fight t W not a t W, which is really
- 24:59Speaker 1: hard to not do, it really is. But there is
- 25:02Speaker 1: one place I do. I do.
- 25:04Speaker 5: But there's one place where b F Y t W
- 25:06Speaker 5: can't go, and that's that's that's at work with me. Unfortunately.
- 25:09Speaker 1: That is w t Y my my W two my
- 25:13Speaker 1: BFY t W can't go so uh something might know
- 25:17Speaker 1: I work as I'm a cookiet of school. It's awesome.
- 25:24Speaker 5: But it's been nice because we had the Thanksgiving holiday
- 25:27Speaker 5: and we had a long break. But prior to that,
- 25:29Speaker 5: like everybody was in that mode. You know, it's like, oh,
- 25:31Speaker 5: holidays are coming up. Cool ship people are bringing us
- 25:33Speaker 5: snacks and I'm like, yes, so lots of cool snacks
- 25:37Speaker 5: at school, and then helping them do their breakfasts and
- 25:39Speaker 5: lunches for their special occasions, which has been a lot
- 25:42Speaker 5: of fun. And then coming up soon obviously with the
- 25:46Speaker 5: christest stuff, I get to decorate, which I'm really excited
- 25:49Speaker 5: for it. So there's a bag of decorations for the
- 25:52Speaker 5: holidays in my car right now, already for the kitchen.
- 25:56Speaker 5: Heck yeah, and I'm getting hardcore into baking again, So
- 26:01Speaker 5: starting tomorrow, I'm starting my peanut butter cookies and jacket
- 26:05Speaker 5: covered peanut butter balls, and then with the side option
- 26:08Speaker 5: of chocolate covered peanut butter balls with pink kimeley and
- 26:11Speaker 5: sea salt in them.
- 26:13Speaker 1: So those so far are the winners. I think. I
- 26:16Speaker 1: think those the ones people like most.
- 26:18Speaker 5: So I'll be making a few batches of all this
- 26:20Speaker 5: once I pick up some more peanut butter, so I
- 26:22Speaker 5: ran out of peanut butter.
- 26:23Speaker 3: So this is genuinely cruel because you promised me baked goods.
- 26:27Speaker 3: Sometimes you have never come through, so each time feels
- 26:31Speaker 3: like the ha ha ha ha.
- 26:36Speaker 4: The only person who's delivered baked goods to Aaron has
- 26:41Speaker 4: been me.
- 26:43Speaker 5: That's right, to be fair, But to be fair, there
- 26:51Speaker 5: have been multiplication. That's on eron after the show. I
- 26:54Speaker 5: have a baggy of chocolate covered peanut butter balls and
- 26:56Speaker 5: our freezer, and he's never given.
- 27:00Speaker 1: You never remember to remind the stoner.
- 27:04Speaker 3: Way to put it on me finish.
- 27:07Speaker 1: Victim, victim, I'm white, I'm white, I'm.
- 27:17Speaker 3: Ship Jesus Christ. Okay, use that excuse because he's white.
- 27:33Speaker 3: Beaut unbelievable.
- 27:37Speaker 1: I think that's the way our world is going.
- 27:39Speaker 3: Believable. I mean, it's the way the world country sucked up.
- 27:44Speaker 1: Oh man.
- 27:47Speaker 5: But yeah, here my eye from I'll be making bake
- 27:51Speaker 5: goods this week, so I'll bring them over this week
- 27:54Speaker 5: for you, unless we can remember to get that bag
- 27:56Speaker 5: of those when we leave today.
- 27:57Speaker 3: Just quickly apologize to anyone who isn't white.
- 27:59Speaker 4: Who I'm sorry, you're not right.
- 28:04Speaker 1: I'm sorry.
- 28:07Speaker 4: You were saying that what you said, I'm so sorry.
- 28:14Speaker 3: I wish I was sorry here, but I apologizing for
- 28:19Speaker 3: any hint of racism that could be construed from Stevie's words.
- 28:22Speaker 5: Yeah, I am really not racist this way. If I
- 28:26Speaker 5: did say, they didn't understand I said it unless you're white.
- 28:33Speaker 3: There you go, that is allowed. Okay, Oh my god,
- 28:43Speaker 3: I'm fucking dead. I'm dead.
- 28:47Speaker 1: It's okay, you're not to laugh worry about.
- 28:52Speaker 3: I had it coming. I had it coming. Oh, it
- 28:59Speaker 3: was a plan.
- 29:05Speaker 1: And we're only halfway through the case. Just said, now,
- 29:23Speaker 1: this is this is magic.
- 29:27Speaker 4: It is magical.
- 29:29Speaker 1: Tell you what.
- 29:30Speaker 5: Other than that, while I was out this weekend, I
- 29:35Speaker 5: stopped at Peace, Love and Bud of course, because you know,
- 29:39Speaker 5: I can't help I can't help myself.
- 29:42Speaker 3: No, it was actually pretty cool.
- 29:43Speaker 5: Yeah he was there, he knows, but he wasn't there.
- 29:47Speaker 5: So I was there with RASP and we're looking at
- 29:50Speaker 5: a few things. And the last time Augie and I
- 29:52Speaker 5: were there for their grand opening, they had a bunch
- 29:55Speaker 5: of representatives for all these different companies that supply them there.
- 29:58Speaker 5: One of them was Rove, and they gave us some
- 30:01Speaker 5: complimentary items and then we got a battery from for
- 30:06Speaker 5: their the vaporizers and what they are is their NFL
- 30:11Speaker 5: or NBA officially stamped you know, batteries and they only
- 30:16Speaker 5: produced whatever team whatever into whatever states are allowed to produce,
- 30:20Speaker 5: like the marijuana products and stuff, and they haven't gotten
- 30:23Speaker 5: the Buffalo yet, but they gave us a couple of
- 30:25Speaker 5: these really nice ones.
- 30:26Speaker 1: I can't remember which team it was. It was Broncos
- 30:29Speaker 1: or something. I can't remember. So I was like cool. Cool.
- 30:31Speaker 5: So I was like we were in in this week.
- 30:33Speaker 5: I'm like, oh shit, we need I need to get
- 30:36Speaker 5: one of the pods for this. I want to see
- 30:37Speaker 5: what this thing is like. This guy talked about this.
- 30:39Speaker 5: I have the battery. So I talked to Nick, who
- 30:41Speaker 5: was in here in studio for the small sassion and stuff,
- 30:43Speaker 5: and then Alyssa was there and we talked for a
- 30:45Speaker 5: little bit and I told him like, yeah, it's give
- 30:47Speaker 5: me whatever a hard ind tocome man, something hard in
- 30:49Speaker 5: He's like all those things are those things are good, man,
- 30:51Speaker 5: You're gonna like it. I'm like all right, And then
- 30:52Speaker 5: I was like, hit me up one of those blunts
- 30:54Speaker 5: that we smoked in here that one day, and he's
- 30:55Speaker 5: like hi, and gave me an NYC freaking.
- 30:58Speaker 1: Cellar Diesel, which is pretty fire. But then as we're.
- 31:02Speaker 5: Checking out, he's like, all right, man, here's your blunt
- 31:04Speaker 5: for the evening. Here's your the vape cartridge that actually
- 31:09Speaker 5: has the marijuana in it. And it's Kevin Smith's favorite
- 31:13Speaker 5: strand before his the Skywalker og so hit that, which
- 31:17Speaker 5: is pretty fantastic. And then he's like, oh, and here's
- 31:21Speaker 5: a battery for it as well on top of it,
- 31:24Speaker 5: and it's a limited edition Buffalo Bill's won Buffalo just
- 31:28Speaker 5: got the AFC Championship. They're only going to make so
- 31:30Speaker 5: many of these. We got one now, so he's like, yeah,
- 31:33Speaker 5: you want to make sure we had one for in here.
- 31:36Speaker 4: So, like, these people are really sick because I'm white.
- 31:40Speaker 5: You're blowing behind the white from the Red, White, and Blue.
- 31:44Speaker 5: But I want to just like give a huge peace,
- 31:46Speaker 5: love and butt.
- 31:47Speaker 1: Again. They are amazing people.
- 31:49Speaker 5: They know their stuff, their supply is always increasing, and
- 31:52Speaker 5: they have everything. So if you're ever in the market
- 31:56Speaker 5: for some recreational cannabis and you are twenty one years
- 31:59Speaker 5: of older Western New York, hit up cell Transit Road, peace,
- 32:02Speaker 5: love and bud hell yeah, heck yeah, So yeah, that
- 32:06Speaker 5: was that was really fun.
- 32:07Speaker 1: So we've been hitting this and it's been.
- 32:09Speaker 5: A fox yeah, crazily. As Aggie said, we've also been
- 32:14Speaker 5: gaming a lot. We've been doing a lot of call
- 32:17Speaker 5: duty because a lot of zombie things came out and
- 32:19Speaker 5: it brought us back to the old days of doing zombies.
- 32:21Speaker 1: And we completed the very first Easter Egg within the
- 32:24Speaker 1: first week of the first map coming in.
- 32:26Speaker 4: Before they released the directed mode, which is basically likeorials
- 32:30Speaker 4: you need to do. We figured it out and did
- 32:32Speaker 4: it before they told you how to do. Yeah, so
- 32:35Speaker 4: we got all these bonuses that no one else can
- 32:38Speaker 4: get now. And then a third map just released, so
- 32:40Speaker 4: we've been playing that one and it's been fun.
- 32:42Speaker 1: That one will will never know. It's too long from.
- 32:45Speaker 5: What we can figure out, and you can get a
- 32:48Speaker 5: melee sword, but there's four of them, and there are
- 32:50Speaker 5: four different abilities, and it's a pain to get evolved.
- 32:52Speaker 5: But it's really cool because I know from what it
- 32:54Speaker 5: looks like, he can get a sword and I can
- 32:56Speaker 5: get a sword. We can just go around just like
- 32:58Speaker 5: medieval times, all these I'm using stuff, man, of all
- 33:01Speaker 5: these parlors and stuff.
- 33:02Speaker 1: But it's been fun.
- 33:04Speaker 5: We've been streaming a lot in the bf Y lounge area,
- 33:07Speaker 5: which has been real cool. So I think, uh, probably
- 33:12Speaker 5: not the rest of tonight. Maybe tomorrow we'll do some
- 33:14Speaker 5: of that, but I think later tonight, Saturday. I know
- 33:17Speaker 5: it's gonna be after this gets released and whatnot. Oh,
- 33:20Speaker 5: you're not gonna start cyberpunk side by side, So we're
- 33:23Speaker 5: both gonna be streaming it, doing our own builds, but
- 33:26Speaker 5: trying to go through the story progressively around the same time.
- 33:29Speaker 5: Around the Yeah, we're gonna see what and we're just
- 33:31Speaker 5: gonna we're gonna get some herb going.
- 33:33Speaker 3: We're just gonna kind of like a co op experience
- 33:35Speaker 3: because it's the.
- 33:36Speaker 5: One thing they promised that we never got, And this
- 33:38Speaker 5: is the one thing I really wish even if it
- 33:39Speaker 5: was only two players, it would be fantastic. So I'm
- 33:43Speaker 5: really hoping like this will get us into it a
- 33:45Speaker 5: little bit. Like I don't know if we're gonna go
- 33:47Speaker 5: to the same like background or not.
- 33:49Speaker 4: But yeah, for that call of Duty one, like I
- 33:52Speaker 4: know you like puzzles, Oh my god, if you ever
- 33:54Speaker 4: get the chance, look up that one for like the newest.
- 33:58Speaker 1: One Citadel.
- 34:00Speaker 4: Or Dells on something. Mar Yeah, we'll tell you that
- 34:03Speaker 4: actually look that one up, because like even you'd be like,
- 34:06Speaker 4: how the fuck would anyone ever solve this ship.
- 34:09Speaker 1: There's like zodiac signs you have to figure out by like.
- 34:12Speaker 4: Flowers of horse you have to like line.
- 34:18Speaker 3: Around.
- 34:18Speaker 5: Yeah, you're trying to figure out all these puzzles as
- 34:20Speaker 5: these zombies are coming.
- 34:21Speaker 4: You have to make a specific a moat in a
- 34:23Speaker 4: specific spot with a specific thing. After doing a specific
- 34:26Speaker 4: it's like, what the fuck? How did anyone figure this out?
- 34:29Speaker 5: It's so much but at the same time, it is
- 34:32Speaker 5: so much fun and it's satisfying when you actually complete
- 34:34Speaker 5: those ones because they are so hard. Like I'm just
- 34:36Speaker 5: playing zombies now, just on lock shit more than I'm
- 34:39Speaker 5: not completing.
- 34:40Speaker 4: It's what's really what's fun about it is more just
- 34:43Speaker 4: doing the puzzles and just seeing how far you can go. Also,
- 34:45Speaker 4: it's just it's a lot of fun just to turn
- 34:46Speaker 4: your brain off for a while. That's why I like
- 34:48Speaker 4: Verbatie too, because it's there is a little bit of strategy,
- 34:51Speaker 4: especially on the higher difficulties they've got to kind of
- 34:53Speaker 4: focus on from time to time, but for the most part,
- 34:55Speaker 4: it's turned your brain off.
- 34:57Speaker 5: Kill rats and it's the same with the zombies, You're
- 35:00Speaker 5: just like, all right, because and I'll admit this, and like,
- 35:02Speaker 5: I've been enjoying playing zombies a lot with Augie because
- 35:05Speaker 5: we don't have to deal with other people. I'm not
- 35:07Speaker 5: online playing multiplayer, or I'm not playing Battle Royal, where
- 35:09Speaker 5: if I get capped in the first five minutes, all right,
- 35:12Speaker 5: well that was fun loading in for the last twenty
- 35:14Speaker 5: thirty seconds.
- 35:15Speaker 4: Or the fact that's horrendously plagued by half hackers.
- 35:18Speaker 1: Right now, so I'm not even jumping on that shit.
- 35:20Speaker 1: So it's yeah, it's horrible.
- 35:22Speaker 3: That's what happens when you.
- 35:23Speaker 4: Put AI as your fucking shit, right.
- 35:28Speaker 1: But uh, other things that came.
- 35:30Speaker 5: I got some deliveries because of the holidays, and I
- 35:33Speaker 5: got something for the upstairs gift for you know, for
- 35:36Speaker 5: the three of us upstairs in the apartment, and then
- 35:39Speaker 5: the next day I got another one, and I'm like,
- 35:41Speaker 5: that's weird.
- 35:42Speaker 1: I remember ordering too, so I checked my orders make
- 35:44Speaker 1: sure maybe.
- 35:44Speaker 5: I was stoned and I hit times two or some shit,
- 35:47Speaker 5: because it's a very good possibility. Nope, never ordered a
- 35:50Speaker 5: second one. There's no other one on my I think
- 35:52Speaker 5: they just an order got filled at two different warehouses,
- 35:55Speaker 5: and they both shipped it like trying to get the
- 35:57Speaker 5: first one out of their home.
- 35:59Speaker 1: So I got two.
- 36:00Speaker 4: It happened to someone else you knew too, Yes, so my.
- 36:03Speaker 5: Other cook she ordered a recliner she just got too,
- 36:08Speaker 5: moved into a new house with her husband and their kids,
- 36:10Speaker 5: and ordered his recliner for him for Christmas or whatever,
- 36:13Speaker 5: and description, great gray one and a half seat reclined,
- 36:16Speaker 5: a really nice one.
- 36:17Speaker 1: Whatever. Cool orders it, gets a box and the box
- 36:21Speaker 1: comes in and says brown. She's like what.
- 36:23Speaker 5: She goes to the site and it says gray, but
- 36:25Speaker 5: it shows a brown picture. If you cook the brown one,
- 36:27Speaker 5: it says gray. If you coick the gray one, it
- 36:29Speaker 5: says brown.
- 36:30Speaker 1: So the swap.
- 36:31Speaker 5: So she contacts them. They're like, what, blah blah blah,
- 36:34Speaker 5: No that we can know it says it right. And
- 36:36Speaker 5: she went back there and they changed it on the
- 36:37Speaker 5: site to fix it, but she already had screenshots. So
- 36:40Speaker 5: she contacted Amazon or whatever and they're like blah blah blah.
- 36:44Speaker 5: That company said, okay, i'll tell you what you keep it,
- 36:46Speaker 5: we'll give you half your money back. And she's like nope,
- 36:49Speaker 5: cause they know where it's coming from. That to pay
- 36:52Speaker 5: the tax back plus the shipping back plus everything. So
- 36:55Speaker 5: they're just like, Okay, well blah blah. Amazon's like, yep,
- 36:58Speaker 5: you're keeping that one. Andersunny the correct one now. So
- 37:01Speaker 5: she got like a four hundred dollars recliner for free.
- 37:04Speaker 3: Nice.
- 37:05Speaker 1: So I was like, yeah, it's like assholes trying to
- 37:06Speaker 1: scam people. Man, it's fucked up. Jesus, Yeah, it's so
- 37:11Speaker 1: fucked up.
- 37:11Speaker 3: That's that's fucked ye, So be careful orders for Christmas.
- 37:17Speaker 3: My whole fucking journey with the fucking the what was
- 37:20Speaker 3: it the dental first? Yeah, yeah, I had to. I
- 37:23Speaker 3: had to fight them to make him come good. They
- 37:25Speaker 3: did eventually come good, but I mean it shouldn't have
- 37:27Speaker 3: had to fight so hard.
- 37:28Speaker 4: Yeah, double check, make sure you always don't.
- 37:30Speaker 3: Make sure you're not getting screwed people.
- 37:32Speaker 1: It's fucked up.
- 37:33Speaker 8: Like I.
- 37:36Speaker 3: I hate to get political, but like part of Project
- 37:38Speaker 3: twenty twenty five is rolling back consumer protections. So take
- 37:41Speaker 3: care of yourself. Why you while you can, you know,
- 37:43Speaker 3: do everything you can just in case eventually eventually the
- 37:48Speaker 3: company is going to be always right.
- 37:49Speaker 1: Yeah, we don't want that.
- 37:50Speaker 5: Ship.
- 37:51Speaker 1: Companies aren't people.
- 37:52Speaker 3: We we won't really be able to do anything about
- 37:53Speaker 3: it either. Unfortunately, no, uh, not to get dark on you.
- 37:57Speaker 3: But yeah, that's just just a sign of the world
- 38:01Speaker 3: we're living in now. But yeah, it's fact to life. Yeah,
- 38:04Speaker 3: but like Seev says, just protect yourself. Well, you can't
- 38:08Speaker 3: exactly a good moral to end on I feel.
- 38:11Speaker 5: Other than that, I did get one more thing. Yeah,
- 38:14Speaker 5: I was able to upgrade my desktop somehow. Wait what, Yeah,
- 38:18Speaker 5: there's one thing I could upgrade this thing.
- 38:21Speaker 3: Oh yeah, because you're already maxed out practically, Yeah, you
- 38:26Speaker 3: have space for hard driving.
- 38:27Speaker 1: There way no.
- 38:30Speaker 5: But I was able to double the DDRS five RAM,
- 38:33Speaker 5: So now I have sixty four gigs a d d
- 38:35Speaker 5: R five at fifty two hundred fifty six hundreds.
- 38:39Speaker 1: That's fair, yeah, because it came with thirty two. But
- 38:41Speaker 1: I was like, there was a deal. It was like
- 38:43Speaker 1: one hundred bucks for some really nice ones when I
- 38:45Speaker 1: found them, and I'm.
- 38:46Speaker 5: Like, that's the only upgrade this thing can do because
- 38:48Speaker 5: that's the Mexican hold, which is fucking nuts. So there's
- 38:52Speaker 5: nothing else I can do until I do pretty much,
- 38:54Speaker 5: I build.
- 38:55Speaker 1: A new one.
- 38:55Speaker 5: Yeah, that's fair, but it's it's I didn't think i'd
- 38:59Speaker 5: realize a different right away.
- 39:00Speaker 1: But I did.
- 39:01Speaker 5: I was like, okay, cool, but yeah, I was like, okay,
- 39:05Speaker 5: I did everything I can do, So now we can
- 39:07Speaker 5: start playing with some new ship from all these parts
- 39:10Speaker 5: we have.
- 39:11Speaker 1: Yeah, hik yeah man, fuck yeah that's cool. Yeah, but yeah,
- 39:14Speaker 1: that's been my like week and a half.
- 39:16Speaker 3: That's cool. That sounds good to me. Man. Shall we
- 39:19Speaker 3: take another break?
- 39:20Speaker 1: We want to come back.
- 39:21Speaker 3: We're going to talk about me, me, me right back
- 39:24Speaker 3: right after this.

- 40:20Speaker 3: Bad Studie bad.
- 40:23Speaker 4: Getting pulled the wrong on our neth firm, actually held
- 40:28Speaker 4: his wrist out for me to slap.
- 40:31Speaker 3: I heard that one.
- 40:34Speaker 4: Actually slapped him the as.
- 40:35Speaker 3: Welcome to uh part of three. It's gonna be all
- 40:40Speaker 3: about me, mabe. Well, actually, more accurately, First, it's gonna
- 40:43Speaker 3: be all about us, us for us, because every other
- 40:47Speaker 3: Thursday for god knows how long. Although we skipped the
- 40:50Speaker 3: last one.
- 40:51Speaker 4: Good Thanksgiving thanks it was a little complicated situation.
- 40:55Speaker 3: Guy has been coming over to my house and we've
- 40:56Speaker 3: been playing D and D and that's been a lot
- 40:58Speaker 3: of fun. Fu. Yeah, we're doing the Curse of Straw,
- 41:04Speaker 3: although considering how we've been playing it, we have renamed
- 41:08Speaker 3: it the Worst of Stray. Literally, just watching three jerk offs,
- 41:14Speaker 3: just do you know.
- 41:16Speaker 4: The SpongeBob word looking out the fucking window and then
- 41:21Speaker 4: like SpongeBob and Patrick like running by with goofy ass
- 41:25Speaker 4: looks on their faces. Yeah, that's the party, and Straw
- 41:28Speaker 4: is squid word looking out being like what the fuck?
- 41:33Speaker 3: So he's our d m Yeah, and we decided to
- 41:38Speaker 3: make him pay for that.
- 41:39Speaker 4: A game where is supposed to be harassing you, you
- 41:42Speaker 4: had just.
- 41:45Speaker 3: Harass every time he goes to look at us, like
- 41:47Speaker 3: one of us pulls out our tick and just helicopters it,
- 41:51Speaker 3: just like the fuckers go a goddamn, there's a hard
- 41:57Speaker 3: so fucking why. But that's what Justin's character has decided
- 42:02Speaker 3: to do.
- 42:03Speaker 4: Every time he goes the urine. Hey, he makes sure
- 42:07Speaker 4: he aims right towards the castle wherever it is, and helicopters.
- 42:12Speaker 3: While he does it. So he kisses everywhere for no reasons.
- 42:18Speaker 4: Up there with like a cup of tea, going, I
- 42:20Speaker 4: fucking hate these.
- 42:24Speaker 1: Why did they?
- 42:25Speaker 4: Why did the dark powers let them come here? Is this?
- 42:27Speaker 4: This is my punishment, isn't it?
- 42:29Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 42:29Speaker 3: Apparently? Well, our latest adventure was actually something of an adventure.
- 42:34Speaker 3: We accomplished the lulls by the bone Grinder and met
- 42:38Speaker 3: the hags the witches.
- 42:40Speaker 4: Yeah, and that luckily decided to leave.
- 42:45Speaker 3: At some point they were like, fuck.
- 42:46Speaker 1: This, you guys are we broke into these old ladies.
- 42:50Speaker 3: Literally broke into three old women's house, just covering them
- 42:55Speaker 3: in acid, and I think it was mostly the acid. Yeah,
- 43:00Speaker 3: stop sucking.
- 43:04Speaker 5: And then I went upstairs and started slashing some other one.
- 43:08Speaker 5: Oh that was fun, and then disappeared.
- 43:11Speaker 3: But then they disappeared and it turns out they had
- 43:13Speaker 3: children captured there. So yeah, we were the good guys.
- 43:16Speaker 1: Yes, we knew all along, all.
- 43:21Speaker 3: Along, we knew. Yeah, that's the whole.
- 43:25Speaker 4: Time, the whole time kids were there.
- 43:27Speaker 1: So let me ask you something.
- 43:29Speaker 5: So Strad is a vampire, correct, So our little kids
- 43:33Speaker 5: like veal to him. They keep him in little cages
- 43:36Speaker 5: so they don't get like and ship, so they'll move
- 43:39Speaker 5: a lot.
- 43:40Speaker 4: They're like, you know how some vampires have a preference
- 43:44Speaker 4: like that. They were, Yeah, he has a preference and
- 43:47Speaker 4: little kids, is it big kids?
- 43:54Speaker 3: Definitely? It's a feeling. It's one specific woman. Oh, I
- 44:00Speaker 3: have a feeling anyway, I could be wrong.
- 44:03Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 44:04Speaker 4: Spoilers to anyone who hasn't played curs Astride yet.
- 44:07Speaker 1: It's fun, but I know nothing about this other than
- 44:10Speaker 1: years for.
- 44:11Speaker 3: One specific woman who we successfully transferred across the country
- 44:15Speaker 3: to the place where she wanted to go to be safe.
- 44:18Speaker 1: Oh yeah, okay, yeah, yeah, yeah, sweet, we're good.
- 44:22Speaker 3: So either either just that one or he prefers young
- 44:25Speaker 3: women one way or the other. But I don't know.
- 44:28Speaker 3: I'll have to ask him.
- 44:29Speaker 1: Well, we'll see him.
- 44:30Speaker 4: So, so, what's your sexual hurference.
- 44:34Speaker 5: What that's how you get vampire just wanted to know
- 44:40Speaker 5: before we kill you just confuse him and then.
- 44:42Speaker 1: You stay them. What kind of question? Ah, why do
- 44:48Speaker 1: you want to know? It would be fucking hilarious.
- 44:52Speaker 5: That's how this happens multiple weeks, like and and every
- 44:57Speaker 5: week we we we cook dinner and stuff.
- 44:59Speaker 1: We bring food.
- 45:00Speaker 3: Yeah, part so, and we're actually having like a home
- 45:04Speaker 3: cooked meal every time. It cool. We haven't. We haven't.
- 45:07Speaker 3: We haven't stooped ordering pizza yet.
- 45:09Speaker 1: It don't happen.
- 45:12Speaker 3: That day is coming. It almost came the last time
- 45:14Speaker 3: when when there was an accident in yeah, the kitchen,
- 45:17Speaker 3: but there was too much damage to it.
- 45:21Speaker 4: Yeah, we were that there's gonna be a not an
- 45:25Speaker 4: apartment when we came back.
- 45:28Speaker 3: That made sense. I was completely on boarding. I enjoyed
- 45:31Speaker 3: having the time off because it meant I could delve
- 45:34Speaker 3: into one of my favorite new things. So I talked
- 45:37Speaker 3: some time ago, I think about getting a mister FPGA
- 45:42Speaker 3: video game retrobox. It's it's not for those who don't know.
- 45:46Speaker 3: It's not an emulation thing. Emulation is software pretending to
- 45:52Speaker 3: be that particular system. It's running codes. An fpg A
- 45:58Speaker 3: is hardware rewriting itself to be identical to the hardware
- 46:05Speaker 3: the original machine. So in this case, like it is
- 46:11Speaker 3: perfect as long as long as they have like the
- 46:14Speaker 3: exact spects of the chips and so forth, that that
- 46:18Speaker 3: the machines were made of, you know, and how they
- 46:20Speaker 3: were programmed, like which you know, pin led to what
- 46:23Speaker 3: they as long as they know that they can create
- 46:27Speaker 3: these cores that then are just like, it's better than
- 46:31Speaker 3: emulation in terms of accuracy. There's no less.
- 46:38Speaker 8: It is.
- 46:39Speaker 3: It is fantastic, but it's it's it was. It was
- 46:45Speaker 3: held a slightly back by the fact that I was
- 46:49Speaker 3: using an HDMI cable and it felt like not quite
- 46:54Speaker 3: not quite right. And then David Adovino gifted me a
- 47:00Speaker 3: c r T TV. Oh yeah, Augie helped me move
- 47:04Speaker 3: it into my bedroom and it has just been sitting
- 47:07Speaker 3: there for weeks on end. And then one day I
- 47:09Speaker 3: looked at my mister f PGA and I was like, hmmm,
- 47:11Speaker 3: I wonder if I could connect this to my CRT
- 47:14Speaker 3: TV and play all these old systems as they were
- 47:17Speaker 3: intended on a CRT TV. Well, I grabbed VGA two
- 47:22Speaker 3: component cable, hooked it up. I grabbed I bought a
- 47:27Speaker 3: a Uh it was a headphone jack to the red
- 47:31Speaker 3: and not red and white. Yeah, red and white cables. Yeah,
- 47:36Speaker 3: I left you right stereo cables and hooked the whole
- 47:39Speaker 3: thing up and turned on the TV and everything was pink.
- 47:45Speaker 3: And I was like, ship, I fucked up somewhere? Did
- 47:48Speaker 3: I Did I buy a bad cable? Do I have
- 47:50Speaker 3: something not working right? It just turned out I had
- 47:53Speaker 3: to flip a switch in the settings on the mister
- 47:56Speaker 3: so that it knew it was broadcasting over components instead
- 48:00Speaker 3: of HGMI.
- 48:02Speaker 1: So once I did that little switchbox, so.
- 48:04Speaker 3: Yeah, and I did. I did have to flip a
- 48:06Speaker 3: physical switch on the Mister FPGA too to get it
- 48:09Speaker 3: to work. But it is now working. And when I
- 48:14Speaker 3: tell you, like gentlemen, I was transported to being twelve
- 48:19Speaker 3: years old, sitting in my room staring at the screen
- 48:22Speaker 3: with the glow coming off of it, uh, and seeing
- 48:26Speaker 3: like all of these graphics the way I saw them
- 48:29Speaker 3: when I was tiny on an actual CRT TV in
- 48:34Speaker 3: the actual like you know, the resolution that they're supposed
- 48:36Speaker 3: to be.
- 48:37Speaker 8: Uh.
- 48:38Speaker 3: No, lag plays just like playing on or PlayStation or
- 48:42Speaker 3: a Sega CD or whatever I picked, Like it's all
- 48:45Speaker 3: it's all just fucking phenomenal, and I just I lost myself,
- 48:50Speaker 3: Like I I spent the entire Thanksgiving break, like all
- 48:54Speaker 3: four days just playing with this fucking, just NonStop I
- 48:59Speaker 3: beat game that I have been interested in playing forever.
- 49:03Speaker 3: It's called Disruptor for the PlayStation one. It was made
- 49:06Speaker 3: by Insomniac Games, which is a familiar name if you've
- 49:10Speaker 3: been into PlayStation for five minutes. And it's a first
- 49:15Speaker 3: person shooter like Doom, except you also have mental powers
- 49:18Speaker 3: on top of guns, and it's really cool. It's got
- 49:24Speaker 3: full motion video story sequences with live actors telling the
- 49:29Speaker 3: story between missions, and it's it's it's terrible. It's the
- 49:35Speaker 3: full motion video is it's poorly acted, and it's some
- 49:41Speaker 3: of it. The writing firmly comes from the I am
- 49:46Speaker 3: the bad guy because I said so, camp.
- 49:51Speaker 1: Why are the villain?
- 49:52Speaker 4: Because because why? Because you know?
- 49:56Speaker 3: It's it's more like, it's more like someone comes along
- 49:58Speaker 3: and tells the hero he is the villain, and he goes,
- 50:00Speaker 3: why you know, because I said so, And he goes, okay,
- 50:04Speaker 3: I'll go kill him. It just completely buys it. I
- 50:08Speaker 3: was thinking, yeah, it's just it's it's genuinely pretty bad.
- 50:11Speaker 3: But the game is actually really good. I really enjoyed
- 50:14Speaker 3: it from beginning to end. There's an easy and hard mode,
- 50:17Speaker 3: and there's a different ending for each, So I actually
- 50:19Speaker 3: actually went through and played it again on hard mode
- 50:22Speaker 3: now that I knew how to get through all levels.
- 50:24Speaker 3: It was actually roughly as easy as the mode was.
- 50:28Speaker 4: I love how even older games had multiple endings.
- 50:31Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, they had. They had everything that we have now, like,
- 50:35Speaker 3: you know, maybe not to the extent of the world.
- 50:38Speaker 1: But overall stuff, but yeah, they created The.
- 50:42Speaker 3: PlayStation was like the really first time. I mean Segacy
- 50:45Speaker 3: technically did it first, but the PlayStation was the first
- 50:47Speaker 3: time I really got into like full stories that were
- 50:52Speaker 3: actually acted like by actors, either in voice or in
- 50:56Speaker 3: video either way, and and the whole of the story
- 50:59Speaker 3: would be delivered to was spoken to you, you know.
- 51:01Speaker 3: I mean, there were still a lot of text RPGs
- 51:03Speaker 3: back then, but but there were a lot of games
- 51:06Speaker 3: like Metal Gear Salad, like Disruptor Psychic Detective. There's there's
- 51:10Speaker 3: a whole bunch of games where like we for the
- 51:13Speaker 3: first time, like actual actors brought these stories to life, right,
- 51:17Speaker 3: And it's so cool to revisit and let's see, I
- 51:22Speaker 3: played that. I played Tech and three, because of course
- 51:24Speaker 3: I did. I played a fucking Alone in the Dark
- 51:28Speaker 3: the New Nightmare, which is a pretty damn good Resident
- 51:32Speaker 3: Evil clone, although technically I think Alone in the Dark
- 51:35Speaker 3: is the progenitor and Resident Evils and Alone in the
- 51:37Speaker 3: Dark clone. But you know, whatever, where does Parasite land
- 51:40Speaker 3: Parasite Eve. Yeah, Parasite Eve is his own thing because
- 51:44Speaker 3: because it's an RPG slash Okay.
- 51:48Speaker 4: Okay, for whatever reason that popped into my head. I'm like,
- 51:51Speaker 4: I remember I was having.
- 51:52Speaker 3: A copy of that for the PlayStation. I'm just I'm
- 51:54Speaker 3: just having so much fun, like re exploring some of
- 51:57Speaker 3: my old, like favorite games. Now. The only thing about
- 52:00Speaker 3: this is that because it mimics the hardware exactly like,
- 52:05Speaker 3: there are some things you have to be careful of
- 52:07Speaker 3: with the Mister. For example, if you save in game,
- 52:13Speaker 3: it doesn't immediately right the file to like a file
- 52:18Speaker 3: on your SD card and the Mister you have to
- 52:20Speaker 3: actually go to the menu to make it happen. When
- 52:24Speaker 3: you go into the menu of the Mister emulator, it
- 52:26Speaker 3: will save the the the the memory card or whatever
- 52:30Speaker 3: what have you to memory so that when you come
- 52:32Speaker 3: back to the game. Now, This isn't a problem, except
- 52:34Speaker 3: when you forget about that. You're like, it's time to
- 52:38Speaker 3: close off for the night or whatever. I save the
- 52:40Speaker 3: game in the game and then I hit the off
- 52:43Speaker 3: switch and then I come back to it and I'm like,
- 52:45Speaker 3: where did my save go? I just lost an hour
- 52:47Speaker 3: of progress. It's happened a couple of times, but I've
- 52:49Speaker 3: been getting smarter about not letting it happen.
- 52:51Speaker 1: Now, sticky not on your screen?
- 52:53Speaker 3: Yeah, something like that I would do. I have to
- 52:57Speaker 3: tell you one of the newer horus that has been
- 53:00Speaker 3: added to the mister f PGA. Yeah, Nintendo sixty four.
- 53:05Speaker 3: And I can't say that it's perfect yet. I haven't
- 53:09Speaker 3: played enough games to say whether it's perfect. Right, it's
- 53:12Speaker 3: fucking damn good, Like I can't tell the difference. I
- 53:16Speaker 3: have been playing Super Mario sixty four for like past
- 53:18Speaker 3: two days. I'm up to forty five stars. I'm going nuts.
- 53:21Speaker 4: I was gonna say, I'm like, who wants to speed
- 53:23Speaker 4: run Super Mario sixty four?
- 53:25Speaker 3: I want to get them all? And it's it's gonna
- 53:28Speaker 3: have that bug that the original.
- 53:29Speaker 5: Yeah, I remember that Christmas because that Chris that was okay,
- 53:34Speaker 5: I was privileged.
- 53:35Speaker 1: I am white.
- 53:37Speaker 3: Let's go back to that.
- 53:38Speaker 5: As we've discussed, as we've discussed, as we've discussed, the.
- 53:43Speaker 1: Year the N sixty four came out.
- 53:45Speaker 5: I was lucky enough that my father was able to
- 53:47Speaker 5: get one. Now, I mind you, he worked fucking every day.
- 53:51Speaker 5: I barely saw him because he worked in a factory,
- 53:53Speaker 5: but he was able to get one. And I remember
- 53:56Speaker 5: opening that up and then one or one game because
- 54:00Speaker 5: that's all I got, and I was happy as fucause
- 54:03Speaker 5: I opened it up right away. Dead's like, yep, hook
- 54:05Speaker 5: it up to the living room TV because that's the
- 54:06Speaker 5: only TV we had, and it was the fucking special
- 54:09Speaker 5: cables and playing Mario, like not even going into the
- 54:13Speaker 5: first castle, just like being like mesmerized by like the
- 54:17Speaker 5: graphics and how you can move the camera around everything
- 54:20Speaker 5: like running and jump into sliding and ship outside, not
- 54:24Speaker 5: doing anything under net for like a half hour.
- 54:26Speaker 1: Then find of like all right, time to go inside.
- 54:28Speaker 1: Let's do this game.
- 54:29Speaker 5: You know, Like, god, dude, that that sounds so much
- 54:32Speaker 5: fucking fun. Like again I was a kid again, tell
- 54:37Speaker 5: me more about this fucking thing.
- 54:39Speaker 3: I need to What I need to do is start
- 54:41Speaker 3: playing Wayne Gretzky three D hockey again. But there's other
- 54:47Speaker 3: Nintendo sixty four games that I think of fun Tony Hawk, Uh,
- 54:53Speaker 3: what was I gonna say? You blocked me? Obviously we
- 55:00Speaker 3: played obviously Golden Perfect Dark. Big Perfect Dark was big later,
- 55:05Speaker 3: but only big for a hot minute, and that's because
- 55:08Speaker 3: it had bots so we could actually play as a team,
- 55:11Speaker 3: which was.
- 55:12Speaker 5: But then there's a better one that we played a
- 55:13Speaker 5: lot more at the fire Hall, really Time Splitters.
- 55:17Speaker 1: Oh well that was that was not.
- 55:22Speaker 3: Now PlayStation two is, sadly, I think, too complicated to
- 55:26Speaker 3: ever be a core on the mister FPGA. Now there
- 55:29Speaker 3: may be an advanced FPGA created later that we'll be
- 55:34Speaker 3: able to add systems like that, but for right now,
- 55:37Speaker 3: the level of complexity we're at is like n sixty
- 55:40Speaker 3: four PlayStation Saturn pretty much. No farther than that. I
- 55:44Speaker 3: would be very surprised if we saw a Dreamcast Corps.
- 55:47Speaker 3: But but yeah, that's fair.
- 55:50Speaker 1: I mean, now, you obviously got this online or did
- 55:52Speaker 1: you build them?
- 55:54Speaker 3: I bought this one online. Now here's the good news.
- 55:56Speaker 3: When the one that I bought was like four hundred
- 55:58Speaker 3: and fifty bucks as a full completed kit, I didn't
- 56:02Speaker 3: have to put it together. It was just ready to go, okay,
- 56:05Speaker 3: So I basically paid extra. I could have built the
- 56:08Speaker 3: whole thing's piece by piece. It's still what it cost
- 56:11Speaker 3: in the neighborhood of like three hundred and fifty maybe
- 56:13Speaker 3: four hundred bucks. But I saved some money by throwing
- 56:16Speaker 3: in some extra and just having it made for me.
- 56:18Speaker 3: And I tested it. Everything was fine with it. But
- 56:22Speaker 3: there is a project called mister Pie. It's run by
- 56:27Speaker 3: It was launched by a YouTuber whose name is Taki,
- 56:31Speaker 3: and he is He's a guy who loves retrogaming, covers
- 56:34Speaker 3: a lot of retrogaming consoles. He's actually well known enough
- 56:38Speaker 3: that like some of the major console creating companies like
- 56:42Speaker 3: the Emulation consoles, the handhelds and stuff Ambernick companies like
- 56:45Speaker 3: that actually contact him and know him personal. Oh so
- 56:50Speaker 3: he decided to see if he could do anything about
- 56:53Speaker 3: making the Mister Thing a little bit less expensive, and
- 56:57Speaker 3: he succeeded. You can get the MYSTERI, you can get
- 57:00Speaker 3: all the pieces and put it together for about two
- 57:02Speaker 3: hundred dollars. Really basically cut the price in half.
- 57:06Speaker 1: Wow.
- 57:08Speaker 3: Now they're still available to purchase. I think I think
- 57:13Speaker 3: you have to purchase the parts in individually. I think
- 57:15Speaker 3: you you might be able to get the whole kit
- 57:18Speaker 3: put together for probably a little bit more, maybe two fifty.
- 57:21Speaker 3: But I mean at that price it's a bargain because
- 57:23Speaker 3: until now it's only ever been four to fifty five
- 57:25Speaker 3: hundred bucks. So to get one like this for two
- 57:29Speaker 3: hundred dollars is extraordinary. And it appears to have all
- 57:33Speaker 3: the same features, everything you would want. Possibly some improvement,
- 57:38Speaker 3: but yeah, they've been, they've been. They've been working hard
- 57:41Speaker 3: to make something that is more affordable but still provides
- 57:44Speaker 3: that seamless and perfect experience. And I have to say,
- 57:49Speaker 3: I will never play it on an HTMI again. I
- 57:52Speaker 3: will never play it on an HTTV again. This genuinely
- 57:55Speaker 3: belongs on a CRT TV because it I can't tell you, like,
- 58:01Speaker 3: I'm not a purist. I'm not one of those people
- 58:03Speaker 3: who's like, for for years, I've been playing emulated games,
- 58:06Speaker 3: and I will continue to play emulated games on other
- 58:09Speaker 3: devices that have like sharpened the pixels so they look
- 58:12Speaker 3: they've gotten rid of the scan lines. You know, everything's exactly. Yeah,
- 58:17Speaker 3: it's not quite the same as when I grew up,
- 58:19Speaker 3: but I don't care. I'm still having fun. It's still
- 58:21Speaker 3: the same game, you know, It's it's I'm still enjoying myself.
- 58:25Speaker 3: So that's never been a thing for me. But I
- 58:28Speaker 3: cannot deny what it felt like to sit on the
- 58:33Speaker 3: edge of my bed like I did when I was twelve,
- 58:36Speaker 3: stare up at the CRT. That is literally, dude, was
- 58:40Speaker 3: sitting on my dresser, yes, and and just having turning
- 58:45Speaker 3: the lights off so that like all I can see
- 58:47Speaker 3: is the glow turning off music, no podcast, nothing in
- 58:50Speaker 3: the background, like I usually do now when I play
- 58:53Speaker 3: video games. I usually play a video game and have
- 58:55Speaker 3: something else, yeah, because my brain has been wired to like,
- 58:59Speaker 3: must be not bored twenty four to seven, right, you
- 59:02Speaker 3: know so, But in this case, I was just like,
- 59:05Speaker 3: fuck all of that. I'm turning all that. I'm getting
- 59:07Speaker 3: rid of everything so I can just be sucked into this.
- 59:12Speaker 3: Legitimately it's and you can play arcade gas the thing too.
- 59:19Speaker 3: Oh really yeah, yeah, yeah, absolutely so I was genuinely like,
- 59:24Speaker 3: this is a time travel device because I was genuinely
- 59:26Speaker 3: transported back to beating twelve years old and hanging out
- 59:29Speaker 3: with you guys, eating pizza oven and playing fucking Dwayne
- 59:33Speaker 3: Gretzky three D hockey and me scoring a goal at
- 59:36Speaker 3: the last second, pissing everybody on the other team. Because
- 59:41Speaker 3: the last second in that game lasts for about four seconds.
- 59:43Speaker 1: It forever. Why when it does, you can do everything
- 59:46Speaker 1: in that last four seconds.
- 59:48Speaker 3: But I have been having a ball.
- 59:50Speaker 1: That's fucking cool.
- 59:51Speaker 3: If you're interested, I highly recommend looking into the mister
- 59:54Speaker 3: Pie project Pie spelled p I and uh, like I said,
- 59:59Speaker 3: it's made by a guy takid. He's the he's the
- 1:00:02Speaker 3: YouTuber who who genuinely launched and created this device. And
- 1:00:06Speaker 3: I don't know if they have a company or what,
- 1:00:08Speaker 3: but you can find it by looking up those things.
- 1:00:11Speaker 3: And Taki's name is spelled t A k I. So
- 1:00:14Speaker 3: you're interested in, definitely check it out because if you
- 1:00:17Speaker 3: like me, if you played games when you were younger,
- 1:00:20Speaker 3: playing it on one of these things and ideally playing
- 1:00:23Speaker 3: it on a c R T TV is genuinely going
- 1:00:25Speaker 3: to take you back. It's incredible.
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: I have to check it out next timewhere over Hell yeah, yeah,
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: show check out. Hell yeah, that might be worth the advest.
- 1:00:33Speaker 3: We'll all sit on bend just like the day.
- 1:00:37Speaker 4: And I'm thinking super like super sixty four, Pokemon Snap.
- 1:00:43Speaker 3: Mele, Super Barer Man two.
- 1:00:46Speaker 4: Super Super Smash Melee.
- 1:00:49Speaker 3: Yep, well well super Smash we could do Super Smash Melee.
- 1:00:52Speaker 5: Is that?
- 1:00:53Speaker 3: That's? Having said that, I do have my game cube
- 1:00:56Speaker 3: booked up this year.
- 1:00:58Speaker 4: I'll like Luigi's Man or Sunshine.
- 1:01:02Speaker 3: I'm not stupid right doing it right, There's there's multiple
- 1:01:07Speaker 3: inputs on that TV, so I'm like, I have a
- 1:01:09Speaker 3: I have a literal like component composite cable from the
- 1:01:12Speaker 3: GameCube hooked up to the CRT. That's what I was
- 1:01:14Speaker 3: playing on my CRT for like a hot minute before,
- 1:01:17Speaker 3: you know, I just let it sit there and it
- 1:01:19Speaker 3: was just like, man, need something to do with this.
- 1:01:21Speaker 3: Why did I get this thing? And I'm not gonna
- 1:01:23Speaker 3: use it? Well, now I'm fucking using right.
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I'm glad though, I'm glad you use it.
- 1:01:27Speaker 5: I'm especially glad because you guys had to carry that
- 1:01:29Speaker 5: ship all the way into your fucking place.
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: It was heavy, it was it looked heavy balls. I
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: was like, oh my god, it was okay.
- 1:01:36Speaker 3: It felt like it was seventy pounds, right, he was
- 1:01:39Speaker 3: seventy pounds.
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: Yeah, it was probably about seventy Yeah.
- 1:01:41Speaker 3: Yeah, I would have. I would have struggled to move
- 1:01:43Speaker 3: this thing by myself.
- 1:01:44Speaker 5: Yeah, just stupid. Those things are so dumb back in
- 1:01:46Speaker 5: the day. I don't know how we carried that. I
- 1:01:47Speaker 5: don't know how we did that ship back then.
- 1:01:49Speaker 3: What I would love, what I would genuinely love, although
- 1:01:52Speaker 3: I feel like I can't justify it, would be putting
- 1:01:54Speaker 3: it into the the the other room where the fifty
- 1:01:58Speaker 3: inch TV.
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: Oh yeah, and just run retro stuff off the far side.
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: I mean, you could redesign the room.
- 1:02:06Speaker 3: The only thing is I don't know what i'd do
- 1:02:08Speaker 3: with the fifty inch TV.
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: Then what do you have them side by side?
- 1:02:11Speaker 5: If you can do it on one of the walls
- 1:02:13Speaker 5: or something, or even have like the CRT in a
- 1:02:16Speaker 5: corner and then the big one on a wall, so
- 1:02:18Speaker 5: that way it's only taking up a quarter of the
- 1:02:19Speaker 5: space in a wood and then you can still switch
- 1:02:21Speaker 5: off whenever you want and be in the same area.
- 1:02:23Speaker 3: Might be able to hang the fifty inch on the
- 1:02:26Speaker 3: right wall.
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: And to have that on the corner almost angled.
- 1:02:30Speaker 5: Might I don't know, you can try it, I mean,
- 1:02:32Speaker 5: see what happens, man, because it would still work, I think,
- 1:02:34Speaker 5: And you just have to move your chair in.
- 1:02:35Speaker 3: The now, I'd have to have it like positioned pretty
- 1:02:39Speaker 3: carefully so as not to block the closet. But like
- 1:02:43Speaker 3: or if it is, it would need to be movable,
- 1:02:45Speaker 3: like swivelable, like you know, something like that. But I
- 1:02:49Speaker 3: feel like it's doable, man, Yeah, for sure, Ship, it
- 1:02:51Speaker 3: wouldn't be hard to do.
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: I got a fucking studfinder and Ship, I got drills, all.
- 1:02:55Speaker 3: Right, Project project going. Yeah, that is pretty much the
- 1:03:00Speaker 3: majority of what I've been doing. Honestly, I haven't been
- 1:03:03Speaker 3: working on my books as much as I probably should have.
- 1:03:05Speaker 3: The Second Brace, the physical edition of the second edition
- 1:03:10Speaker 3: of the book Fain, has been put on hiatus thanks
- 1:03:13Speaker 3: to my distributor losing their fucking mind. Yeah, I I
- 1:03:19Speaker 3: I set everything up. I did everything as I was,
- 1:03:21Speaker 3: as I understood I was supposed to. I took the
- 1:03:23Speaker 3: first edition off of distribution. It's it's no longer available
- 1:03:27Speaker 3: anywhere except from me, so if you want to copy,
- 1:03:30Speaker 3: you have to reach out to me and I will
- 1:03:32Speaker 3: get you one. As a good friend of the show,
- 1:03:36Speaker 3: m Blade did thank you so much, sir Christmas.
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: Oh yeah, that's awesome.
- 1:03:41Speaker 3: But the second edition is unavailable to put on distribution,
- 1:03:46Speaker 3: and I was like why, and it was like click
- 1:03:48Speaker 3: this link and it took me to a page that
- 1:03:49Speaker 3: said like content integrity, uh, you know, and whatever, and
- 1:03:54Speaker 3: it was like, there's there's been an issue with your
- 1:03:57Speaker 3: Your title is not available for distribution for content integrity reasons.
- 1:04:02Speaker 3: And I'm like, what the fuck. It doesn't explain why,
- 1:04:05Speaker 3: of course not. It doesn't explain like what rule is
- 1:04:08Speaker 3: being broken. It just said it's no longer available, and
- 1:04:11Speaker 3: it's like, you can fill out this form for to
- 1:04:13Speaker 3: start the appeals process. We'll get back to you in
- 1:04:16Speaker 3: ten to fifteen business days. I was like, go fuck yourselves.
- 1:04:22Speaker 3: I was so ready to jump ship to another distributor
- 1:04:25Speaker 3: so fast, and that's probably gonna be one of the
- 1:04:28Speaker 3: first things I say to them when they eventually reply
- 1:04:30Speaker 3: to me, because I sent the form in, didn't hear
- 1:04:33Speaker 3: back for like three days. Finally got an email saying
- 1:04:37Speaker 3: thank you for something your appeal you'll be responded to
- 1:04:40Speaker 3: intend to fifteen business days. Like it's already been three
- 1:04:44Speaker 3: business days. You're killing me. So yeah, I may have
- 1:04:49Speaker 3: to find another a new distributor, and I don't know why,
- 1:04:52Speaker 3: and it's it's frustrating and infuriating, but that's so welcome
- 1:04:58Speaker 3: the twenty twenty five. So I'm still working on that.
- 1:05:02Speaker 3: Second book is in the works. I just yesterday received
- 1:05:05Speaker 3: the mock up for the cover image of book two.
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: Oh really, yeah nice, it's very pretty.
- 1:05:12Speaker 3: It's not there yet for a lot of things that
- 1:05:14Speaker 3: I was like, this isn't quite right. Can we fix this?
- 1:05:17Speaker 3: So I'll wait to hear back from my artist about
- 1:05:20Speaker 3: the alterations and what they do to fix it up.
- 1:05:25Speaker 3: So looking forward to seeing that. But that's moving along.
- 1:05:30Speaker 3: I got more feedback from my beta readers, which means
- 1:05:33Speaker 3: I'm actually going to I didn't do this last time,
- 1:05:35Speaker 3: but I'm going to write up a third draft before
- 1:05:38Speaker 3: I do a final because okay, there's some changes that
- 1:05:41Speaker 3: I want to make based on the feedback that I
- 1:05:43Speaker 3: got that I think really made sense to me. And
- 1:05:46Speaker 3: one of the things I did was I completely scrapped
- 1:05:49Speaker 3: the opening chapter. Oh shit, I rewrote it completely from scratch,
- 1:05:53Speaker 3: and genuinely it's better now.
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: Sometimes it's a better book.
- 1:05:58Speaker 3: I think. One of the things that and this is
- 1:06:01Speaker 3: this is only an author problem. Nobody else would ever
- 1:06:03Speaker 3: run into this, but like I uh, I jumped genres
- 1:06:08Speaker 3: in the middle of a series, and and this is
- 1:06:11Speaker 3: why you don't do that, Because the only thing that
- 1:06:14Speaker 3: I'm good at, like, the only thing that I'm provably
- 1:06:16Speaker 3: good at, is is I've written a mystery thriller like
- 1:06:21Speaker 3: so to jump from that to an entirely genre that
- 1:06:25Speaker 3: that works entirely differently in so many, so many ways
- 1:06:30Speaker 3: like that was a mistake. So I'm basically trying to
- 1:06:34Speaker 3: shrug off a lot of the a lot of the
- 1:06:38Speaker 3: bad habits for a fantasy adventure that I picked up
- 1:06:42Speaker 3: writing a mystery thriller to start with. But at the
- 1:06:44Speaker 3: same time, it was like, this is part two of
- 1:06:47Speaker 3: a series. Shouldn't it feel similar?
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: And little parts? Yeah.
- 1:06:51Speaker 3: The more I the more I thought about it, the
- 1:06:53Speaker 3: more I the more I spoke to my Beata reader
- 1:06:57Speaker 3: about this, the more I was like, yeah, no, if
- 1:07:00Speaker 3: this is going to be a real fantasy adventure, then
- 1:07:03Speaker 3: it needs to feel like a fantasy adventure right now.
- 1:07:07Speaker 3: Like the ending, A lot of the ending was it
- 1:07:10Speaker 3: felt rushed and just way too fast, because the pace
- 1:07:15Speaker 3: of the first novel was very fast, right. It was
- 1:07:17Speaker 3: supposed to be. It had it had to be.
- 1:07:19Speaker 2: It was.
- 1:07:20Speaker 3: It was a it was a mystery thriller where you
- 1:07:22Speaker 3: needed to be sort of on edge the whole time.
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: Yeah, you needed the urgency cost you.
- 1:07:27Speaker 3: Needed there needed to be urgency. They needed to be
- 1:07:29Speaker 3: a fast pace. Fantasy adventures take their time. Only in
- 1:07:34Speaker 3: certain spots do things pick up.
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: There's like ten pages in a chapter and shit on
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: those bitches. It sucks. Yeah, and then there's still like
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: one hundred chapters like how not really? Yeah, yeah, but
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: it seems that way anyway.
- 1:07:45Speaker 3: So I'm going back with a fine tooth comb. I'm
- 1:07:47Speaker 3: going to be expanding some sections of the of the book,
- 1:07:50Speaker 3: especially in the middle and the end, because the beginning
- 1:07:53Speaker 3: is already very strong, at least in my book, and
- 1:07:56Speaker 3: nobody has had any major complaints about parts of the
- 1:07:58Speaker 3: beginning that I'm aware of. Nice, and uh so that's
- 1:08:03Speaker 3: that's also coming along. Meanwhile, I've completed four thousand words
- 1:08:07Speaker 3: of book number three.
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: Holy shit. Nice.
- 1:08:10Speaker 3: Book number three is already out of the gate and
- 1:08:13Speaker 3: starting to be cooked, so to speak. So that's exciting,
- 1:08:17Speaker 3: but it's good. It's gonna go on the back burner
- 1:08:19Speaker 3: now while I'm more interested in fixing Book number two
- 1:08:21Speaker 3: so I can get it out so I will not
- 1:08:23Speaker 3: be meeting the one book per year rate that I
- 1:08:26Speaker 3: was trying to.
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: Go for but it's nothing wrong with that. You gotta
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: be happy with what you're going to release, man. Yeah, no,
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: that's one hundred percent correct, the most important.
- 1:08:33Speaker 3: That's one hundred percent correct. If I was not if
- 1:08:35Speaker 3: I was not one hundred percent happy with it, I
- 1:08:36Speaker 3: should not release it under.
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: Any circumstances exactly.
- 1:08:40Speaker 3: So that's what's going on with me and my writing,
- 1:08:42Speaker 3: and I think that pretty much brings me up to
- 1:08:44Speaker 3: date with everything that I've been doing. Christmas is a
- 1:08:49Speaker 3: shitty time of year for me. I hate it every time, so.
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: We're just looking to get through it one understandable.
- 1:08:56Speaker 3: Christmas Day, I'll be better, But like you know, the
- 1:08:58Speaker 3: month of December is always rough. Yeah, so looking forward
- 1:09:03Speaker 3: to the end of that.
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: That's fair. But that's about it, really cool.
- 1:09:09Speaker 3: Yeah, fair, all right, So I think maybe with that,
- 1:09:12Speaker 3: I think it should be time to wrap up. That
- 1:09:13Speaker 3: sounds good, right before I completely monopolize the conversation.
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: You're good, that's so thank you, Thank.
