Transcript
- 0:02Speaker 1: Hi, everybody, Welcome to tea time with Amy and Bev.
- 0:05Speaker 1: Happy Mama's Day, Happy Mama's Day, and good Day.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Good Day.
- 0:12Speaker 1: Of course we're recording this on Mother's Day, so that's
- 0:14Speaker 1: why I say that this isn't going to go out
- 0:16Speaker 1: until the Thursday after, which is okay, but maybe you
- 0:21Speaker 1: might listen to this on Mother's Day.
- 0:22Speaker 2: So there you have it in the.
- 0:24Speaker 3: Future, you have it.
- 0:27Speaker 4: Every day is Mother's Day. It's Father's Day too, as
- 0:31Speaker 4: far as I'm concerned, we just seem to identify it
- 0:34Speaker 4: as a day.
- 0:35Speaker 3: Yeah, so how are things?
- 0:38Speaker 2: Things are good? I thought maybe.
- 0:43Speaker 1: If you're up for it being a mom, should we
- 0:46Speaker 1: talk about that?
- 0:49Speaker 3: We can.
- 0:52Speaker 1: It's interesting dynamics, isn't it is.
- 0:56Speaker 4: It's like putting on a different hat altogether, and it changes.
- 1:00Speaker 4: It kind of shifts everything a mom's hat versus a
- 1:02Speaker 4: grandma's hat or you know, a sister's hat. It's all
- 1:07Speaker 4: these different hats that we wear, and how we show
- 1:10Speaker 4: up differently with those different hats on. It's kind of
- 1:13Speaker 4: actually interesting now that you were talking about this.
- 1:17Speaker 1: And when you put a mom hat on, when you
- 1:21Speaker 1: decide to take on that role, you take on a
- 1:25Speaker 1: bunch of other roles too that you didn't know come
- 1:27Speaker 1: along with that, right, So a caregiver, a nurse, a teacher,
- 1:36Speaker 1: like you would think, I you know, the oh, the
- 1:43Speaker 1: the blanket is, I'm a mom, But underneath that's similar
- 1:48Speaker 1: to being a wife. You take on the wife, the
- 1:50Speaker 1: role of a wife or in a relationship, there's other
- 1:54Speaker 1: hats that come along with it.
- 1:56Speaker 2: And I think.
- 1:58Speaker 1: Maybe that's when people, maybe younger moms or just choosing
- 2:06Speaker 1: to be a mom, thinking about being a mom, that
- 2:09Speaker 1: might become the big difficult part is, Oh my gosh,
- 2:15Speaker 1: there's so much more to this than I ever realized.
- 2:19Speaker 1: Because you look at your own mom, your own mom,
- 2:21Speaker 1: whatever fashion she showed up in. I know your mom
- 2:24Speaker 1: showed up differently than my mom, and and they were
- 2:27Speaker 1: our role models because they were our mom and them
- 2:33Speaker 1: doing the best that they could with their skills and
- 2:38Speaker 1: how they were raised and their belief systems and all that.
- 2:42Speaker 1: So that's what they had to demonstrate for us, when
- 2:47Speaker 1: in fact, there was so much more that we didn't
- 2:50Speaker 1: see that was going on behind the scenes, maybe their
- 2:53Speaker 1: internal mental emotional struggles, maybe they're trying to wrap their
- 2:58Speaker 1: brains around even just taking on this new role of
- 3:02Speaker 1: a baby that they have to take care of and
- 3:04Speaker 1: how are they going to do it, and them wanting
- 3:08Speaker 1: to feel loved, and so also maybe I know my
- 3:11Speaker 1: mom was in that position of seeking relationships and seeking
- 3:16Speaker 1: that love.
- 3:16Speaker 2: Outside of herself.
- 3:17Speaker 1: So there's this there's so many more things happening behind
- 3:20Speaker 1: the scenes that and when she would get in the relationships,
- 3:23Speaker 1: the relationships weren't that great, and you know her mental
- 3:29Speaker 1: emotional struggle through that, And even though it's not talked about,
- 3:35Speaker 1: the child can pick up on that energy and they
- 3:37Speaker 1: know something's off, but they just don't know the details
- 3:40Speaker 1: because now the mom's trying to protect the child from
- 3:44Speaker 1: seeing or experiencing certain things. And so there's this whole
- 3:49Speaker 1: incredible dynamic of being an infant or a child and
- 3:55Speaker 1: your mom trying.
- 3:56Speaker 2: To do her best in.
- 3:59Speaker 1: Raising you in whatever that looks like. I know that,
- 4:03Speaker 1: you know, there's been some amazing experiences and not so good,
- 4:06Speaker 1: so you know, and just keeping that in mind that
- 4:10Speaker 1: every person's doing the best they can, and but moms
- 4:15Speaker 1: have that's a lot of a huge load.
- 4:19Speaker 3: It is a huge load.
- 4:20Speaker 4: And if and we could take that load off of
- 4:23Speaker 4: our shoulders by just recognizing we're guides. We are a
- 4:26Speaker 4: guide in all capacities. We're a guide for ourself, We're
- 4:29Speaker 4: a guide.
- 4:29Speaker 3: For our partner.
- 4:30Speaker 4: We're I mean, really, in a generic statement, we're guides
- 4:34Speaker 4: for everybody because they already have their higher self, they
- 4:38Speaker 4: already have their team of spiritual guides.
- 4:40Speaker 3: However you want to look at.
- 4:41Speaker 4: They've already got everything that's around them, and they're going
- 4:44Speaker 4: to live their lives the way they want to, no matter,
- 4:47Speaker 4: especially for the kids, no matter if we have our
- 4:49Speaker 4: thumb on them or not. You can think that you've
- 4:51Speaker 4: got them pin down and you've got to figure it
- 4:52Speaker 4: out and everything is this way, and it's never that
- 4:55Speaker 4: way because they've got their own journeys.
- 4:57Speaker 3: And if we can recognize that, it takes a lot.
- 4:59Speaker 4: Of stress pressure off our shoulders of thinking that we
- 5:02Speaker 4: have to do all those things. And also, you know,
- 5:06Speaker 4: bringing them in to help facilitate whatever we're doing, if
- 5:10Speaker 4: it's working in the yard, if it's doing a podcast
- 5:13Speaker 4: or whatever. It's like, help will help me set up
- 5:16Speaker 4: the camera or help.
- 5:16Speaker 3: Me set up this.
- 5:17Speaker 4: It's a it's like it's a including in all things
- 5:21Speaker 4: because that gives them the experience and the opportunity to
- 5:26Speaker 4: decide is this what I want to do? This is
- 5:28Speaker 4: kind of fun, but also not feeling left out, which
- 5:32Speaker 4: I also know is an inside job. And it's not
- 5:34Speaker 4: our job to make sure everybody feels like they're wanted
- 5:37Speaker 4: and they got their trophy. And it's not all about
- 5:40Speaker 4: that stuff, because again, all the experiences that we have,
- 5:43Speaker 4: each of us on an individual basis, are what helped
- 5:48Speaker 4: to guide us into be the best guy we possibly
- 5:51Speaker 4: can be for whoever's around us.
- 5:55Speaker 1: Well, I know earlier in might day when I had
- 5:57Speaker 1: my son that the best role model by no means
- 6:02Speaker 1: I was an emotional mental wreck.
- 6:05Speaker 2: I too seeking.
- 6:06Speaker 1: Love outside of myself, dealing with all my pains and
- 6:11Speaker 1: not knowing what to do with that, turning to alcohol
- 6:13Speaker 1: to remedy that so I could forget about my reality
- 6:18Speaker 1: and relax and have fun. So that's what the alcohol
- 6:22Speaker 1: did for me, and so turning to a substance to
- 6:27Speaker 1: be able to cope with life. None of that was
- 6:30Speaker 1: a good being a good role model if you put
- 6:36Speaker 1: stipulations on what a role model looks like. So by
- 6:39Speaker 1: my standards, in one way was not a good role model.
- 6:43Speaker 1: Was not teaching how to live life and how to
- 6:46Speaker 1: embrace life and how to you know, love yourself. None
- 6:49Speaker 1: of that that was not even in my wheelhouse at
- 6:52Speaker 1: the time. And at the same time, I was a
- 6:56Speaker 1: role model of this isn't healthy. So when you think
- 7:00Speaker 1: about what your life experiences were like when you're you know,
- 7:05Speaker 1: taking on that role of being a mom, that, yeah,
- 7:10Speaker 1: on one hand, it wasn't the best and on the
- 7:15Speaker 1: other hand, I was the best teacher I could be.
- 7:20Speaker 2: Right, And then it's up to that individual.
- 7:26Speaker 1: As a child, They're going to take on whatever it
- 7:30Speaker 1: is I'm teaching. So my son taking on whatever it
- 7:32Speaker 1: is I'm teaching in that time by how I'm behaving
- 7:36Speaker 1: and how I'm reacting and reacting to things and how
- 7:39Speaker 1: I'm showing up in life. And then he gets decided
- 7:42Speaker 1: as he gets older, what is he going to do
- 7:45Speaker 1: with that information? That's not my responsibility.
- 7:50Speaker 3: M hm.
- 7:51Speaker 1: So it's you know, it's just I think ultimately in
- 7:55Speaker 1: this conversation, what I like to do is bring some
- 7:56Speaker 1: ease to the moms who maybe have maybe having some
- 7:59Speaker 1: diffficulty in their relationshipships and stuff. But in bringing in
- 8:03Speaker 1: those spiritual aspects of you know, we are all each
- 8:07Speaker 1: here for a journey for our spirit and this is
- 8:11Speaker 1: a vehicle that they are operating through to have a
- 8:14Speaker 1: human experience for growth and expansion on a spiritual level.
- 8:18Speaker 1: And so is our kids and our grandkids, and our
- 8:22Speaker 1: spouses and our brothers and sister Right, it's like all
- 8:26Speaker 1: of us are here for a reason that we none
- 8:30Speaker 1: of us absolutely probably could comprehend what that is.
- 8:36Speaker 3: And it's not our responsibility, and it's a choice.
- 8:39Speaker 4: It's just like everything you just said before that when
- 8:42Speaker 4: you talk about how we raise our kids, because I wasn't,
- 8:44Speaker 4: I don't feel like I was always the best role model.
- 8:46Speaker 4: And that's only because I've acquired information since then. They
- 8:49Speaker 4: can tell me that I could have been a different
- 8:52Speaker 4: role model than the way that I was then, But
- 8:54Speaker 4: they chose us, and so with all that experience they
- 8:58Speaker 4: gained from us, they can either expand or they can contract.
- 9:02Speaker 4: It's a choice. It's all a choice. So it's not
- 9:05Speaker 4: anything we've done wrong. And so for me, because I
- 9:08Speaker 4: used to do it all the time, I used to
- 9:10Speaker 4: beat myself up and think, man, I should have done
- 9:11Speaker 4: this differently.
- 9:12Speaker 3: I could have been a better mom.
- 9:13Speaker 4: Sure, I could have been a better mom with the
- 9:15Speaker 4: knowledge and information that I have today, But I didn't
- 9:18Speaker 4: have any of that knowledge and information that I did
- 9:20Speaker 4: at that time. And so it's just a constantly, like
- 9:23Speaker 4: you always say, showing up and doing and being better always,
- 9:28Speaker 4: And that's in always that you show up, not just
- 9:31Speaker 4: says to your mom or as the mom or as
- 9:35Speaker 4: the daughter or any of those things. You're doing it
- 9:38Speaker 4: and always, and it's giving ourselves some leniency and not
- 9:42Speaker 4: putting so much pressure on ourselves to be so perfect,
- 9:45Speaker 4: perfect according to what. And so then you have to
- 9:48Speaker 4: kind of ask yourself some questions that kind of just
- 9:50Speaker 4: leads you into that space of perfect according to whom,
- 9:54Speaker 4: because you're perfect already the way you are, unless you've
- 9:57Speaker 4: judged yourself against somebody else or you've been judged growing
- 10:01Speaker 4: up and that was the perspective, doesn't mean that it's true.
- 10:05Speaker 4: And so it's nice and it's for me, it's been
- 10:07Speaker 4: freeing to be able to let that stuff go and
- 10:10Speaker 4: know that it wasn't my responsibility. And even still I've
- 10:13Speaker 4: pulled back even more.
- 10:14Speaker 3: I can only do what I can do.
- 10:16Speaker 4: I was, you know, trying to almost trying to kill
- 10:19Speaker 4: myself in so many ways by trying to be everything
- 10:23Speaker 4: for everybody, and it just doesn't work. That way, because
- 10:26Speaker 4: at the end of the day, it was me that
- 10:28Speaker 4: needed that attention, just like it's the kids that need
- 10:31Speaker 4: their own attention as well. They need to learn how
- 10:34Speaker 4: to do that, and they learn that by the way
- 10:36Speaker 4: that we treat ourselves, because like you said earlier, it's
- 10:39Speaker 4: not something that we say or do or expect. It
- 10:44Speaker 4: is the due part. It is how we show up
- 10:47Speaker 4: on the daily basis. It's not feeling like you I'm
- 10:51Speaker 4: pretending like your mommy's having a great day when mommy's
- 10:54Speaker 4: not having a good day. Sometimes we just don't have
- 10:56Speaker 4: good days, and it's all right to let them know that.
- 10:58Speaker 4: And then it's ways how do I find to love
- 11:01Speaker 4: and nurture myself and find myself back into that balance
- 11:03Speaker 4: where I don't feel bad Because as you're doing those things,
- 11:06Speaker 4: you're teaching your children how to do the same thing.
- 11:08Speaker 4: But not even trying to teach them anything. It's just
- 11:12Speaker 4: teaching them to be more in a space of peace.
- 11:16Speaker 1: And if you think about nature out in the wild
- 11:19Speaker 1: with animals and such, that the animal is born and
- 11:26Speaker 1: right away it's taught how to hunt, how to be cautious,
- 11:32Speaker 1: you know, how to be aware.
- 11:34Speaker 2: It's taught these.
- 11:38Speaker 1: Not obviously animals not talking, but they have their own
- 11:41Speaker 1: way of communication. And then it's like Mom's like, okay,
- 11:45Speaker 1: I did my part, off you go. You know, it's
- 11:48Speaker 1: like you need to go on with your life. A bird,
- 11:53Speaker 1: I was actually quite shocked when I heard this for
- 11:57Speaker 1: the first time.
- 11:58Speaker 2: It's been years ago.
- 11:59Speaker 1: But a mama bird she just takes off flying and
- 12:04Speaker 1: the baby birds are expected to.
- 12:08Speaker 2: Do the same.
- 12:09Speaker 1: And you either fly or you or you fall. And
- 12:14Speaker 1: and I've heard that there's a I don't know this species,
- 12:18Speaker 1: but or maybe all of them I don't know, but
- 12:20Speaker 1: they will mama bird will actually nudge them out of
- 12:23Speaker 1: the nest to get them to fly. And it's like, okay,
- 12:28Speaker 1: you know how to fly, now, now you need to go,
- 12:31Speaker 1: you know, build your own nest and get your own
- 12:33Speaker 1: food and do your own thing and instead, and we
- 12:37Speaker 1: as humans don't always.
- 12:38Speaker 2: Do that, do we. We were just like, oh, you
- 12:41Speaker 2: need to stay.
- 12:42Speaker 1: With me, Oh we need to stay tethered. I need
- 12:45Speaker 1: to take care of your problems. I need to be
- 12:47Speaker 1: responsible for you for the rest of your life. Like
- 12:50Speaker 1: we because we're human and we have these emotions and
- 12:52Speaker 1: these thoughts and all these things that we take on
- 12:57Speaker 1: additional role or responsible abilities that sometimes isn't okay. So
- 13:06Speaker 1: as I say this, I have to kind of retract
- 13:08Speaker 1: because when we bring in the spirit aspects to me,
- 13:14Speaker 1: like you said, choosing the parent parents that are choosing
- 13:18Speaker 1: how we get here, is those people that we're choosing
- 13:25Speaker 1: to come through are going to put us in the
- 13:28Speaker 1: exact situations or experiences that we need for our expansion
- 13:35Speaker 1: and growth as a spirit being. And so it again
- 13:42Speaker 1: go back to what I said, we don't know what
- 13:44Speaker 1: that spirit journey is. And when there is a difficult
- 13:50Speaker 1: relationship between a mom and a child, that I'm going
- 13:57Speaker 1: to say you signed up for it because your spirit
- 14:01Speaker 1: has some learning to do. Your spirit has experiences that
- 14:04Speaker 1: they want to have for their expansion when they return
- 14:08Speaker 1: back into that all loving energy, and.
- 14:11Speaker 2: You don't know what that is.
- 14:12Speaker 1: And so you're still even though it's a rocky, difficult situation, differ,
- 14:17Speaker 1: difficult relationship, your spirit has some growth and expansion that
- 14:23Speaker 1: is happening that you are like, we're all completely unaware
- 14:26Speaker 1: of what's happening on that level. And as you said,
- 14:30Speaker 1: it's all perfect. It doesn't matter how good you are
- 14:34Speaker 1: being by whoever standards that is or how bad you
- 14:37Speaker 1: are again depending on whose standards that is that maybe
- 14:42Speaker 1: it's all perfect, maybe it's all playing out the way.
- 14:45Speaker 2: It's supposed to. Yeah it is.
- 14:49Speaker 4: You're saying all this stuff, and I'm just like sitting
- 14:51Speaker 4: here thinking like we freaking were perfect on that in
- 14:55Speaker 4: that moment, we were perfect. And how much to carry
- 14:59Speaker 4: that way on your shoulders of thinking that there's always
- 15:02Speaker 4: something you could have done better that's still undermine's self
- 15:06Speaker 4: because that means at that moment and that perfection, we
- 15:11Speaker 4: were trying to find something wrong with things when it
- 15:13Speaker 4: was exactly the way it was supposed to be.
- 15:15Speaker 3: There it wasn't. There was not an it wasn't supposed
- 15:18Speaker 3: to be any other way. It just wasn't.
- 15:22Speaker 1: And I can you know, there's so many scenarios, not
- 15:25Speaker 1: only just mine my experiences, but being a witness to
- 15:29Speaker 1: the relationships of a mother and a daughter. There's a
- 15:33Speaker 1: relationship where the ma you know, a family, the dad
- 15:40Speaker 1: dies and the mom you know, now she has to
- 15:43Speaker 1: navigate life with three kids and raise them and have
- 15:49Speaker 1: a career and do all the things. And then the daughter,
- 15:54Speaker 1: the one daughter of the family, turns into a drug addict.
- 15:59Speaker 1: And that relationship ship's been super difficult for several years,
- 16:04Speaker 1: and it's like, well, what if that's actually all perfect
- 16:08Speaker 1: for her and for the mom for their spiritual growth.
- 16:13Speaker 1: Maybe maybe if you bring in past life experiences that
- 16:20Speaker 1: maybe roles were reversed in the previous life or another
- 16:25Speaker 1: lifetime and their sole agreement was okay, let's flop roles.
- 16:30Speaker 1: So we can each have that experience, one being the
- 16:34Speaker 1: drug addict and whether they overcome that addiction or not,
- 16:38Speaker 1: or you know, change the dynamics of their own life,
- 16:42Speaker 1: or or you know, the mom is able to heal
- 16:46Speaker 1: that turmoil or doesn't. Like what is it on a
- 16:51Speaker 1: spirit level that they're getting, not just on a human level.
- 16:54Speaker 1: And the human level is where we have our suffering.
- 17:00Speaker 2: Side to suffer through that pain.
- 17:04Speaker 1: And I am please, don't please, you know, with the
- 17:07Speaker 1: audience watching, please don't think that I'm minimizing anybody's pain.
- 17:11Speaker 2: I mean even you know, the.
- 17:13Speaker 1: Loss of a child, a murdered child, a raped child,
- 17:16Speaker 1: like any of those is not I'm not demeaning any
- 17:20Speaker 1: of that pain that we feel. But what if it's
- 17:24Speaker 1: in alignment with our spirit? How how do we know
- 17:31Speaker 1: pain unless we experience it? How would our spirit no
- 17:36Speaker 1: pain unless it experienced it through the human body. How
- 17:39Speaker 1: would it know love? How would it know freedom? How
- 17:41Speaker 1: would it know excitement or joy unless it's experienced through
- 17:46Speaker 1: the human body, and through the human body, we get
- 17:49Speaker 1: both right, we get both ends. We don't know what
- 17:55Speaker 1: joy is until we know what loss or pain or
- 17:59Speaker 1: suffering is. We don't know what love is unless possibly
- 18:05Speaker 1: we know what abuse is.
- 18:10Speaker 3: Makes perfect sense to me, it does.
- 18:12Speaker 4: It makes perfect sense for the experiences, and it's it's
- 18:17Speaker 4: also not to cling onto those experiences, those stories because
- 18:22Speaker 4: it does, because otherwise we're using it as a defining
- 18:26Speaker 4: for all the experiences we're going to have coming after that.
- 18:30Speaker 4: And so to me, it's what we've got to, not
- 18:33Speaker 4: we've got to It's an opportunity for us to see
- 18:36Speaker 4: things from a different perspective, So we're not carrying that
- 18:39Speaker 4: along with us and reliving it over and over and
- 18:42Speaker 4: over again.
- 18:42Speaker 3: Doesn't mean it didn't happen.
- 18:44Speaker 4: It just means that we're so much bigger than that
- 18:47Speaker 4: one experience, and so many times we can live in
- 18:50Speaker 4: that experience over and over and over and over again,
- 18:54Speaker 4: and being victimizing ourselves in a lot of ways by
- 18:58Speaker 4: maintaining or keeping ourselves in that space. And so again,
- 19:02Speaker 4: it's just all this stuff is an opportunity to you
- 19:06Speaker 4: experience the pain part, well, what is the opposite feel
- 19:09Speaker 4: of that? And we're that's what we get to do
- 19:11Speaker 4: in this human experience. We get to feel like you
- 19:14Speaker 4: just said that, we get to feel the sadness in
- 19:17Speaker 4: order to recognize when we're super happy. We get to
- 19:21Speaker 4: it helps us to navigate those feelings, help us to
- 19:24Speaker 4: let us know which direction we're going in and when
- 19:28Speaker 4: it comes to sadness and grieving and all that stuff,
- 19:30Speaker 4: it's allowing the self to do that stuff. It's not
- 19:34Speaker 4: as children, we a lot of us learn to kind
- 19:36Speaker 4: of step that of side, or you know, put some
- 19:38Speaker 4: rubs and dirt on that and go play, just ignore
- 19:41Speaker 4: your feelings and go carry on. But we're in a
- 19:44Speaker 4: space now that as adults are learning to feel those
- 19:47Speaker 4: feelings so that we're not stifling it or sticking it
- 19:50Speaker 4: down into a box in the basement of our bodies
- 19:54Speaker 4: for later on for it to come out.
- 19:56Speaker 3: It's it's just.
- 19:59Speaker 4: I'm kind of glad, kind of going a little bit
- 20:02Speaker 4: a different direction. I'm kind of glad that of all
- 20:04Speaker 4: the experience that I've had. I'm even happy about the
- 20:07Speaker 4: stuffing that I did because now I've gotten to at
- 20:11Speaker 4: a stage where what we were talking about at a
- 20:13Speaker 4: while ago that I have a comprehension or an understanding
- 20:17Speaker 4: and I can see things from a different perspective. So
- 20:19Speaker 4: now I see it differently and I don't feel like
- 20:21Speaker 4: it doesn't need to stay in the box anymore.
- 20:23Speaker 3: So it's like I.
- 20:24Speaker 4: Along the way have acquired tools that are like, oh yeah,
- 20:27Speaker 4: now that kind of makes a little bit of sense
- 20:29Speaker 4: why I went through that really dark time. It's all opportunities.
- 20:34Speaker 4: It doesn't feel like opportunities when we're going through the
- 20:37Speaker 4: experiences for sure, but it's always finding the silver lining
- 20:41Speaker 4: and everything because I feel like there's and sometimes a
- 20:45Speaker 4: silver lining is how did you show up or how
- 20:47Speaker 4: did it affect your life that you changed so much
- 20:49Speaker 4: to become the person that you are today.
- 20:52Speaker 3: Those are the kind of silver linings.
- 20:53Speaker 4: I'm not always saying there's a silver lining like you
- 20:56Speaker 4: were saying and the death, But to me, the silver
- 20:59Speaker 4: lining in a death is knowing that I still have
- 21:03Speaker 4: access to that person, that soul.
- 21:06Speaker 3: I can still communicate with them.
- 21:07Speaker 4: All they did was leave their avatar, and it was
- 21:10Speaker 4: an opportunity when that person left for me to go
- 21:12Speaker 4: with inside, to even navigate, to know.
- 21:15Speaker 3: That that person was still there this whole time.
- 21:20Speaker 1: And they're always there when we when we pay attention.
- 21:25Speaker 3: It's true so fun.
- 21:30Speaker 1: And it's when I see those posts of I miss
- 21:33Speaker 1: my mom because their mom has transitioned, I think, man,
- 21:37Speaker 1: just sit and connect with your heart center and just
- 21:41Speaker 1: bring her energy in and she's there like right now.
- 21:45Speaker 1: There's no there's no waiting, there's it's like immediate, she's there.
- 21:51Speaker 2: I had a a.
- 21:55Speaker 1: Somebody I know who just recently had an experience is similar,
- 22:00Speaker 1: but it's most recent experience that I could that I
- 22:03Speaker 1: could share. As an example is h a person went
- 22:08Speaker 1: into a building and they're like, you know, when you're
- 22:12Speaker 1: it's pretty big building, and when you're in there, it's
- 22:14Speaker 1: a little creepy and that the you know, there's noises
- 22:19Speaker 1: and stuff, and and she's just like she came back
- 22:22Speaker 1: and was telling me the story. She says, I was
- 22:25Speaker 1: just over there and I was like, okay, there's any
- 22:29Speaker 1: ghosts in here. I wanted to be my friend. I'm
- 22:32Speaker 1: just gonna say Ben. I wanted to be my friend Ben.
- 22:35Speaker 1: And And so she got done in the building, and
- 22:43Speaker 1: she walked outside and a motorcycle drove by, playing a
- 22:47Speaker 1: song that reminded her of her friend Ben, and it
- 22:56Speaker 1: was that the not the lyrics, but the music that
- 23:01Speaker 1: she had written a poem for to read at his
- 23:05Speaker 1: funeral services. And when she came in was telling she
- 23:09Speaker 1: was just a man.
- 23:10Speaker 2: I'm like, oh my.
- 23:11Speaker 1: Gosh, he heard you.
- 23:12Speaker 2: He was letting you know, he's with you.
- 23:13Speaker 1: He's letting you know you heard it, you know, or
- 23:15Speaker 1: she heard you, and all these things. And she was
- 23:17Speaker 1: just like, oh my god, who this guy? You know,
- 23:20Speaker 1: and just kind of beside herself. And I was so
- 23:22Speaker 1: excit elated about it, like that's so exciting, you know,
- 23:24Speaker 1: trying to keep the energy up, and but it's like that,
- 23:27Speaker 1: you know, She's like, you call on these people, on
- 23:30Speaker 1: those that have transitioned your mom, your grandma, whoever was
- 23:34Speaker 1: that mother figure, anybody really, but we're on the topic
- 23:37Speaker 1: of mom. So and you just bring their energy in
- 23:40Speaker 1: and then watch and witness what happens. Well, for me,
- 23:44Speaker 1: it's it's you know, hummingbirds and dragonflies. For my grandmother,
- 23:49Speaker 1: she was a mother figure for me. She raised me,
- 23:51Speaker 1: and and so you just you just pay attention, the songs,
- 23:58Speaker 1: something some words, somebody says would be exactly what that
- 24:03Speaker 1: mother figure would say, you know. So, so it's like,
- 24:07Speaker 1: don't discount that they're not here in physical form, because
- 24:12Speaker 1: they're absolutely with you in spirit form.
- 24:16Speaker 4: Ever since, I'm so glad you said that Happy Mother's Day,
- 24:18Speaker 4: mom My mom's in the spirit, Happy Mother's Day. And
- 24:23Speaker 4: what I was recognizing too, the grief is great because
- 24:26Speaker 4: it's a releasing of so many different things, all the
- 24:28Speaker 4: way back to childhood. To me, it's just a path
- 24:30Speaker 4: of least resistance. You can just let it all flow out.
- 24:34Speaker 4: But on the other side of that that grief is
- 24:36Speaker 4: that connection you have, that recognition of that connection, and
- 24:40Speaker 4: grieving helps you purge and release a lot of these
- 24:42Speaker 4: things that may have made your your rose colored glasses
- 24:47Speaker 4: a little bit muddied. So it's it's it's a way
- 24:51Speaker 4: of clearing things up so that you can see that
- 24:53Speaker 4: they're always here with us and we can fill them
- 24:56Speaker 4: and like you said, picking up and having songs that
- 24:59Speaker 4: show up.
- 24:59Speaker 3: Or seeing numbers that you wreck.
- 25:01Speaker 4: My mom was born on ten ten, so it's like
- 25:04Speaker 4: ten ten is a very big thing. And if I
- 25:06Speaker 4: hear a reading or if I see an a license
- 25:08Speaker 4: plate or whatever. It's like I always know besides that
- 25:11Speaker 4: she's always showing up in things, even when I don't
- 25:13Speaker 4: ask her to, right, But that's like.
- 25:17Speaker 3: A mom sometimes, I mean.
- 25:18Speaker 4: But on the other side of that, that would be
- 25:20Speaker 4: me recognizing her. That's how Mom was in some ways.
- 25:24Speaker 4: So you know, it's a wonderful thing. It's a wonderful
- 25:29Speaker 4: thing to have all these experiences. And then with all
- 25:32Speaker 4: the emotions that we've gotten to feel because of all
- 25:34Speaker 4: the experiences we've had, now we can express or feel
- 25:37Speaker 4: the things that the person's feeling. On the other side,
- 25:39Speaker 4: maybe they were sad for the way they left things,
- 25:42Speaker 4: and you could feel that sadness withinside of yourself and
- 25:44Speaker 4: then but you don't have to hold on to it.
- 25:46Speaker 3: Or then now they're happy for.
- 25:48Speaker 4: You because oh my gosh, they can see things so
- 25:50Speaker 4: clearly now and look at how great you're doing. And
- 25:53Speaker 4: now you get to feel that energy. So we're so
- 25:55Speaker 4: lucky we get to be in these physical bodies to
- 25:57Speaker 4: feel all these emotions because it's a language. That's what
- 26:02Speaker 4: this body has been. It's learning a different language, and
- 26:04Speaker 4: so then we're learning languages of all the people that
- 26:06Speaker 4: are around us. We're learning the language of our children,
- 26:09Speaker 4: we're learning the language of our mothers, we're learning the
- 26:12Speaker 4: languages of everybody that's around us. And it's an awesome thing.
- 26:16Speaker 4: And we've got all these amazing tools and those feels
- 26:20Speaker 4: that we have that are so beneficial in us navigating
- 26:23Speaker 4: things and being able to feel so much more love
- 26:27Speaker 4: for an individual, loving them so much, but feeling that
- 26:30Speaker 4: not at just being words.
- 26:33Speaker 3: And a lot of times I think people grew up
- 26:36Speaker 3: with just the.
- 26:36Speaker 4: Words because that's you know, there was not the emotion,
- 26:39Speaker 4: the connection of the emotion behind those words coming out.
- 26:42Speaker 3: So now we're learning that.
- 26:43Speaker 4: So when you look at your kids and you say
- 26:45Speaker 4: I love you, you really freaking love them like you're
- 26:48Speaker 4: really feeling it. You're looking at them to I love you,
- 26:51Speaker 4: not just at the back of their head as they're
- 26:53Speaker 4: walking away, it's all the time. It's giving them a
- 26:56Speaker 4: hug and looking them face to face and telling them
- 26:58Speaker 4: how much you love them.
- 27:00Speaker 3: That means more than anything in the world. Those are
- 27:02Speaker 3: the things that they're going to remember.
- 27:04Speaker 4: That face that you see is what you're going to
- 27:06Speaker 4: remember always, whether it was your mom or your kids.
- 27:12Speaker 2: It's a it's a blessing.
- 27:19Speaker 1: When you think about the dynamics of relationships in general.
- 27:26Speaker 1: But that relationship between a mom and a child because
- 27:29Speaker 1: of that physical connection that they've had for nine months
- 27:35Speaker 1: or so or you know in that area. Some babies
- 27:37Speaker 1: are born sooner than that.
- 27:39Speaker 2: But and that.
- 27:45Speaker 1: There's I feel like there's more of a spirit connection
- 27:49Speaker 1: between a mom and a child that because the mom's
- 27:54Speaker 1: the mother's intuition, So mom's intuition is way stronger than
- 27:58Speaker 1: because of that physical connection. And it's different, not to
- 28:06Speaker 1: put down dads, but it's a different experience for a
- 28:10Speaker 1: father figure with a child than a mom's connection, not
- 28:15Speaker 1: necessarily relationship, but connection to the child. Even if that
- 28:22Speaker 1: child was adopted or even if that child was artificially inseminated,
- 28:28Speaker 1: Like there's still connection that is stronger in a way
- 28:34Speaker 1: that a lot of people don't understand.
- 28:38Speaker 2: I will I will.
- 28:40Speaker 1: Funny, not funny because it was supposed to be a
- 28:43Speaker 1: surprise for me, but it was two years ago.
- 28:47Speaker 2: I believe.
- 28:53Speaker 1: It was like a I don't know, the Thursday Wednesday
- 28:57Speaker 1: or Thursday before Mother's Day, and my son didn't live
- 29:01Speaker 1: here in the area that I live in.
- 29:02Speaker 2: He lived three and a half hours away.
- 29:04Speaker 1: And I said to my husband, I'm like, I feel
- 29:10Speaker 1: like Matt's going to be here this weekend by Mother's Day.
- 29:17Speaker 1: And sure enough, he showed up at the doorstep Sunday morning,
- 29:21Speaker 1: you know, knocking on the door.
- 29:23Speaker 2: And so it's just you just have this sense.
- 29:26Speaker 1: My grandmother, this is my my grandparents.
- 29:30Speaker 2: Would get they rode motorcycle.
- 29:35Speaker 1: Quite often, and they would go on these motorcycle trips
- 29:39Speaker 1: and they would be gone and my grandmother one time
- 29:42Speaker 1: was a major incident happened with my uncle. My grandmother said,
- 29:48Speaker 1: I believe they were in California or something. My grandmother
- 29:50Speaker 1: looked at my grandfather and said, we need to pack
- 29:53Speaker 1: up and leave now. Now. This isn't a time before
- 29:57Speaker 1: cell phones or anything else. Like she just knew.
- 30:03Speaker 2: We need to go home now.
- 30:07Speaker 1: And there was a there was this major incident to happen, Like,
- 30:13Speaker 1: how do you know that? How do you just know
- 30:16Speaker 1: these things are happening with your children? And so she's
- 30:19Speaker 1: very intuitive that way.
- 30:24Speaker 4: And the best way to be intuitive is to be
- 30:26Speaker 4: quiet and listen. Yeah, because you feel all these things
- 30:29Speaker 4: and we don't have to always say them, because that's
- 30:31Speaker 4: something I've been practicing. I don't have to say, oh, hey, Freeman,
- 30:35Speaker 4: I just picked this up or whatever this is happening.
- 30:37Speaker 4: I just keep it and I listen to what I heard,
- 30:40Speaker 4: and then I see sometimes it comes up, sometimes it doesn't,
- 30:42Speaker 4: but I just see what kind of comes up from it.
- 30:44Speaker 4: And it's that's my way of playing, or my way
- 30:47Speaker 4: of knowing that I'm intuitively picking up things, or how.
- 30:52Speaker 3: Easy it really is.
- 30:53Speaker 4: The quieter that we've gotten, which is pretty amazing, and
- 30:58Speaker 4: it's and it can't be super loud too. Our intuition
- 31:02Speaker 4: can be super loud, can be it's not always usually
- 31:05Speaker 4: it's that still small voice they say. But it's that
- 31:09Speaker 4: that's not always a truth or it's nagging, because it'll
- 31:13Speaker 4: say it over and over again, not with an energetic nag,
- 31:15Speaker 4: but with a don't forget to get.
- 31:19Speaker 3: Your keys, go get your keys, go get your keys.
- 31:22Speaker 4: Whatever, something simple as that before you leave. And then
- 31:25Speaker 4: I'll leave and I'm like, damn it, I.
- 31:27Speaker 3: Was told like three times. I was told times.
- 31:31Speaker 4: But it's because you know, we get busy with other
- 31:33Speaker 4: things or what we think that we should be doing
- 31:35Speaker 4: or whatever.
- 31:36Speaker 3: It's like in that moment, and that's the practice.
- 31:39Speaker 4: Really, it's in every single moment is to listen to
- 31:43Speaker 4: the little nudges and then follow through and then see
- 31:46Speaker 4: what happens after that, which has been a lot of
- 31:49Speaker 4: stuff that I've been playing lately. It's just really falling.
- 31:51Speaker 4: That's our passion. But we'll talk about that in the
- 31:54Speaker 4: next episode.
- 31:55Speaker 2: Make a note. I remember we are.
- 32:01Speaker 1: Oh man, I was gonna say something, No, I lost it.
- 32:03Speaker 1: It's okay, so mom being a mom. We'll just wrap
- 32:12Speaker 1: this up that. You know, being a mom is is
- 32:16Speaker 1: a huge job, if you will, job responsibility.
- 32:23Speaker 2: I was gonna talk about survival.
- 32:24Speaker 1: So in our early days, I know Bev and I
- 32:27Speaker 1: both were in survival mode when we had our children.
- 32:30Speaker 2: Child and and uh, you know.
- 32:34Speaker 1: When you're in survival mode, you know you don't really
- 32:37Speaker 1: have or haven't learned. I didn't know. I didn't learn
- 32:41Speaker 1: till later in life to be quiet, as you said,
- 32:44Speaker 1: like when you're sitting in some silence or allowing some silence,
- 32:48Speaker 1: that's when you're that intuition is a lot stronger.
- 32:50Speaker 2: But when you're when I was young.
- 32:52Speaker 1: Mom, like I said, I was emotional and mental wreck
- 32:58Speaker 1: that I had no space to be quiet. They're in
- 33:02Speaker 1: my head, in my body, in my life. There was
- 33:05Speaker 1: no space to be quiet, and so yeah, the person
- 33:09Speaker 1: I am today is definitely nowhere near the person I
- 33:12Speaker 1: was when I gave birth and and now and Bev's
- 33:19Speaker 1: practicing this now that if, if, or when there are
- 33:25Speaker 1: any grandchildren in my experience, my interaction with them thousand
- 33:31Speaker 1: times different than what it was when with my son,
- 33:37Speaker 1: like not even not even fifty per ord, like thousand
- 33:41Speaker 1: percent different, because that person is way different in me.
- 33:47Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 33:48Speaker 4: We can't go back once we've learned all this information
- 33:51Speaker 4: and knowledge and we've gotten to the point where we'rever
- 33:53Speaker 4: right now. There is no going back there is it's
- 33:55Speaker 4: only going forward. That's it, and it's it's an it's
- 34:00Speaker 4: an awesome journey because we made it through that part
- 34:03Speaker 4: of it already, and who knows what we're going to
- 34:05Speaker 4: look at in the future. But it's like, in this moment,
- 34:08Speaker 4: it's like I realize all the things, all the reasons
- 34:10Speaker 4: that we had to all those experiences, because we do
- 34:14Speaker 4: show up and it is an opportunity for our kids
- 34:17Speaker 4: to see a different side.
- 34:18Speaker 3: Of us, not to be like, well, this is bullshit.
- 34:22Speaker 3: My mom didn't raise me this way.
- 34:23Speaker 4: It's a look at it and know that I have
- 34:25Speaker 4: different tools than I had then. So you can use
- 34:28Speaker 4: the same tools that you're using right now, or you
- 34:30Speaker 4: can start implementing some different tools.
- 34:32Speaker 3: Or you can take the tools that I'm.
- 34:33Speaker 4: Using right now and modify them to fit and make
- 34:36Speaker 4: it feel better for yourself.
- 34:39Speaker 3: It's just an opportunity.
- 34:41Speaker 2: Yeah, And the other thing I was going to say earlier.
- 34:45Speaker 1: When I had mentioned the difficulties, the really hard experiences
- 34:53Speaker 1: between a mom and a child, that.
- 34:59Speaker 2: How many, how.
- 35:00Speaker 1: Many communities of people have come together because of some
- 35:05Speaker 1: kind of a hardship, whether it was drug addiction or
- 35:07Speaker 1: murder or missing or whatever that case might be. How
- 35:12Speaker 1: like the amount of people that come together because of that,
- 35:16Speaker 1: and those relationships were formed and bonds were made because
- 35:21Speaker 1: of a heart experience and the beauty of that, Like
- 35:26Speaker 1: if that child hadn't let's say, exited, meaning transitioned, died,
- 35:36Speaker 1: that you would have never met these groups of people,
- 35:40Speaker 1: or you may not have created that group of people
- 35:44Speaker 1: to come together for healing. And so what if the
- 35:47Speaker 1: dynamics is or was that agreement between you and your
- 35:54Speaker 1: spirit and their spirit, your child's spirit that you come
- 35:58Speaker 1: in as the mom, they come in as child, This
- 36:01Speaker 1: experience is going to happen. But the beauty of what's
- 36:04Speaker 1: going to happen is you start a group that's going
- 36:08Speaker 1: to create healing and comfort and compassion for.
- 36:11Speaker 2: A huge group of people.
- 36:13Speaker 1: Right, So, keeping in mind that something traumatic turned into
- 36:21Speaker 1: something so incredibly beautiful for so many people, and maybe
- 36:26Speaker 1: that's what your spirit's journey was all about to begin with.
- 36:30Speaker 1: But something had to trigger that flip that switch for
- 36:34Speaker 1: you to go on that journey to help all these
- 36:38Speaker 1: people thousands and there's groups that like millions of people
- 36:40Speaker 1: are part of that for their healing purposes of whatever
- 36:44Speaker 1: experience they had. So anyway, there's so much beauty in
- 36:49Speaker 1: what we see as maybe heavy or traumatic. And remember that,
- 36:54Speaker 1: and remember that if you are going through something where
- 36:57Speaker 1: you feel like you're alone and nobody understand and you
- 37:00Speaker 1: need support that there are the Moms against Drunk Driving,
- 37:05Speaker 1: there's there's uh was it parents helping parents?
- 37:11Speaker 4: I think it's helping parents heal you helping parents or
- 37:15Speaker 4: or something like that. So I would look into that
- 37:17Speaker 4: for sure, because again that's one of those huge, huge
- 37:20Speaker 4: organizations that came up and really listened to the what
- 37:24Speaker 4: people would call wu woo and everything else. But it's
- 37:26Speaker 4: contact it's information, it's it's it opened another door for
- 37:31Speaker 4: them because of the experiences that they had, and it's
- 37:33Speaker 4: like they didn't look at it as that was the
- 37:35Speaker 4: end right there, that was the end of life and everything.
- 37:37Speaker 4: Because anybody that's left us in this plane, they've left
- 37:42Speaker 4: their physical experience, doesn't want us to be unhappy, just
- 37:45Speaker 4: like we if we were to pass to day, we
- 37:47Speaker 4: don't want our families to be devastated and unhappy that
- 37:50Speaker 4: we're not here. We want to be celebrated, celebrate us, right,
- 37:56Speaker 4: and so we celebrate them.
- 37:58Speaker 1: Yeah, celebrate them, Celebrate that you had the time you
- 38:02Speaker 1: had with them, for sure. And for the moms that
- 38:08Speaker 1: are in it right now with a relationship with their
- 38:11Speaker 1: child that may be uncomfortable, do the best you can.
- 38:15Speaker 1: Love yourself through it first and foremost, love yourself through
- 38:19Speaker 1: it and allow that healing and nurturing for yourself for
- 38:24Speaker 1: whatever that situation may be.
- 38:28Speaker 4: Yeah, lean on spirit, Leana, go on, go within, because
- 38:32Speaker 4: that's the that's huge because there's so many things that
- 38:36Speaker 4: we feel like we don't have control over. Especially one
- 38:39Speaker 4: of the experiences I know of is having experience with
- 38:42Speaker 4: my brother was addicted to drugs and stuff but I'll
- 38:45Speaker 4: tell you, his energy was so freaking powerful, So I
- 38:47Speaker 4: would say that to kind of tie this all up.
- 38:51Speaker 4: His experiences were for everybody else's growth. It was around
- 38:55Speaker 4: him as well, maybe even more so than just for
- 38:57Speaker 4: his own growth, because I feel like he was such
- 38:59Speaker 4: a strong power already, and so it was for everybody
- 39:03Speaker 4: else's growth to kind of let go and allow him
- 39:05Speaker 4: to have that experience.
- 39:06Speaker 3: It was his life. It wasn't up to us.
- 39:09Speaker 4: Just because someone doesn't live the way we live or
- 39:12Speaker 4: think that they should live, doesn't mean they're doing it wrong.
