  Building from the inside out. Most of us spend a lot of time
• 0:15
  thinking about the outside of our lives, what people think of
• 0:18
  us, how we come across, whether we seem strong, successful,
• 0:23
  spiritual, or put together. But Jesus always brings us back
• 0:27
  to the deeper place, the hidden place, the place beneath
• 0:30
  appearances. Proverbs chapter 14, verses one
• 0:34
  to two says that wisdom builds, but folly tears down.
• 0:38
  And in Mark Chapter 7, verses 21 to 23, Jesus says that the
• 0:42
  things that defile a person come from within the heart that is
• 0:47
  deeply honest and deeply hopeful at the same time.
• 0:50
  Honest because it means our biggest problem is not just out
• 0:53
  there somewhere, it is in here. Pride, envy, bitterness,
• 0:58
  selfishness, lust and deceit can quietly grow inside us long
• 1:02
  before anyone else notices. We can look fine on the outside
• 1:06
  while something unhealthy is shaping us from within.
• 1:09
  And eventually what is inside spills out.
• 1:12
  It affects our words, our relationships, our decisions,
• 1:15
  and what we are building with our lives.
• 1:18
  But this is also hopeful because Jesus is not just exposing the
• 1:22
  problem. He is inviting transformation.
• 1:25
  He is able to cleanse what is hidden and rebuild what has been
• 1:28
  weakened. He can deal with the motives
• 1:31
  beneath the behavior and the wound beneath the reaction.
• 1:34
  He does not just want better habits from you.
• 1:36
  He wants your heart. A wise life is built from the
• 1:39
  inside out. It starts with surrender.
• 1:42
  It starts with letting God search you honestly.
• 1:45
  Where is jealousy taking root? Where is anger controlling you?
• 1:49
  Where is pride making you hard to teach?
• 1:52
  These are not questions meant to shame you.
• 1:54
  They are invitations to healing. You do not have to keep patching
• 1:57
  the outside while the inside cracks.
• 1:59
  Bring your heart to Jesus. Let Him make it new.

  What He changes within you will begin to shape everything around
• 2:06
  you. Let's pray.

  Heavenly Father, thank You that You care about my heart, not
• 2:11
  just my image. Search me and show me anything
• 2:14
  in me that needs your healing and truth.
• 2:16
  Clean out what is sinful, bitter, proud, or unloving and
• 2:20
  fill me with a heart that reflects you.
• 2:23
  Help me build my life with wisdom, integrity and surrender
• 2:26
  so that what grows in me honors you in Jesus name, Amen.

  The Pharisees and the scribes asked him, Why don't your

  blasphemy, pride and foolishness.

  All these evil things come from within and defile the man.

  From there he arose and went away into the borders of Tyre

  and Sidon. He entered into a house and

  didn't want anyone to know it. But he couldn't escape notice,

  for a woman whose little daughter had an unclean spirit,

  having heard of him, came and fell down at his feet.

  Now the woman was a Greek, a Seraphonician by race.

  She begged him that he would cast the demon out of her

  daughter, But Jesus said to her, Let the children be filled

  first, for it is not appropriate to take the children's bread and

  throw it to the dogs. But she answered him, Yes, Lord,

  yet even the dogs under the table eat the children's crumbs.

  He said to her, For this saying, Go your way, the demon has gone

  out of your daughter. She went away to her house and

  found the child having been laid on the bed.

  With the demon gone out again. He departed from the borders of
• 7:32
  Tyre and Sidon and came to the Sea of Galilee through the
• 7:35
  middle of the region of Decapolis.

  They brought to him one who was deaf and had an impediment in
• 7:41
  his speech. They begged him to lay his hand
• 7:44
  on him. He took him aside from the
• 7:46
  multitude privately and put his fingers into his ears, and he
• 7:50
  spat and touched his tongue. Looking up to heaven.
• 7:54
  He sighed and said to him, If Fatha that is be opened
• 7:58
  immediately his ears were opened and the impediment of his tongue
• 8:01
  was released, and he spoke clearly.

  He commanded them that they should tell no one, but the more
• 8:07
  he commanded them so much the more widely they proclaimed it.

  They were astonished beyond measure, saying He has done all
• 8:14
  things well. He makes even the deaf here and
• 8:17
