Mega Edition: Ghislaine Maxwell And Her Attempt To Manipulate The Direction Of Her Trial (8/4/26) · The Vault: The Epstein Files

0:00
Speaker 1: The third week of the Galain Maxwell trial, with the
0:04
Speaker 1: prosecution resting its case last Friday on the back of
0:09
Speaker 1: some really powerful testimony given by Annie Farmer. Now, we
0:16
Speaker 1: heard from four accusers overall during the first two weeks,
0:22
Speaker 1: and the testimony given by those accusers has been very,
0:27
Speaker 1: very powerful and very strong in my opinion, And when
0:32
Speaker 1: you look at what they had to say, the stories
0:34
Speaker 1: that they told, and you look at the charges that
0:38
Speaker 1: have been brought against Maxwell, it's very obvious that these
0:44
Speaker 1: testimonies are supporting the accusations that have been made. Now,
0:51
Speaker 1: is it going to be enough to convince the jury?
0:54
Speaker 1: I would hope so. I would think so, But we'll
0:57
Speaker 1: have to see this week what the defense plans on doing. Now,
1:02
Speaker 1: there was a point in time when there was discussion
1:07
Speaker 1: that the defense wasn't even going to call any witnesses whatsoever,
1:12
Speaker 1: and now it's looking like they plan on calling thirty
1:16
Speaker 1: five defense witnesses. So Maxwell's defense gets under way starting Thursday,
1:24
Speaker 1: and according to her lawyers, they expect thirty five witnesses.
1:30
Speaker 1: So Thursday, Friday, both of those days, you could almost
1:35
Speaker 1: guarantee that there's going to be witnesses on the stand.
1:38
Speaker 1: But I would think that it's going to bleed into
1:41
Speaker 1: the next week as well, considering we're talking about thirty
1:45
Speaker 1: five people that have to come up and give their testimony.
1:50
Speaker 1: So it's going to be pretty interesting to see how
1:52
Speaker 1: quickly these witnesses are moved through as far as the
1:58
Speaker 1: defense goes. Now, it could end up being a drawn
2:03
Speaker 1: out process, right Who knows how long it's going to
2:06
Speaker 1: take for each one of these witnesses on the stand,
2:09
Speaker 1: And in fact, we don't even know who these witnesses are,
2:13
Speaker 1: so it's going to be interesting to see who they
2:16
Speaker 1: trot out to try and drum up some support for
2:20
Speaker 1: Glen Maxwell's side of the story. And honestly, I don't
2:25
Speaker 1: know who the hell is going to come out as
2:28
Speaker 1: a character witness for Glen Maxwell. But there are reports
2:32
Speaker 1: that several people are going to give testimony but anonymously
2:40
Speaker 1: in fear that their lives would be ruined for supporting
2:43
Speaker 1: Gleanne Maxwell. So that's what's on the agenda as far
2:48
Speaker 1: as the defense and what they're going to cook up.
2:52
Speaker 1: As far as with these witnesses, well, that's anyone's guess. Now.
2:57
Speaker 1: One thing we have learned from the defense is that
3:01
Speaker 1: they are not afraid to stray into scumbag waters. Now,
3:09
Speaker 1: I get it. It's their job, right, They got to
3:11
Speaker 1: do whatever they possibly can to try and get their
3:14
Speaker 1: scumbag client off. I understand that's how it works. I
3:17
Speaker 1: also understand that it's scumbaggery. I also understand that it's gross.
3:25
Speaker 1: Now that being said, it's up to the prosecution to
3:29
Speaker 1: stamp that shit out. It's up to the prosecution to
3:32
Speaker 1: make sure that they point out that it's scumbaggery, that
3:37
Speaker 1: it's gross, and then it's up for the jury to
3:41
Speaker 1: decide what they think. Now, so far, the defense of
3:46
Speaker 1: Glenn Maxwell, they haven't brought any receipts to the table.
3:50
Speaker 1: All they They've hinged their whole entire bet on the
3:54
Speaker 1: fact that they can destroy the credibility of these accusers.
3:59
Speaker 1: And while they they've done the best job that they
4:02
Speaker 1: can to destroy the credibility of these accusers, I keep
4:06
Speaker 1: referring back to the fact that these people weren't drug
4:09
Speaker 1: addicts before they met Maxwell and Epstein. They were just kids.
4:15
Speaker 1: They became drug addicts to deal with the trauma that
4:17
Speaker 1: was put upon them by Maxwell and Epstein. So when
4:21
Speaker 1: they go and attack these accusers credibility and talk about
4:26
Speaker 1: the drug issues and stuff like that. I just shake
4:29
Speaker 1: my head. I know if I was sitting in a
4:30
Speaker 1: jerry box, I would be thinking, well, wait a minute,
4:33
Speaker 1: there were kids when you abuse them, or when they
4:36
Speaker 1: first came in contact with you, and now all of
4:39
Speaker 1: a sudden, after those events, they have these drug problems.
4:44
Speaker 1: How about causation and effect? And as a juror, I
4:49
Speaker 1: know for sure that I'd be sitting there thinking that
4:51
Speaker 1: to myself, like, wait a minute, here, hold on, So
4:53
Speaker 1: you're going to attack the credibility of these people who
4:55
Speaker 1: are accusing you. Yet they were children thirteen, fourteen, fifteen
5:00
Speaker 1: years old when they were in your clutches, and then
5:03
Speaker 1: they develop drug issues and you hammer at home on
5:06
Speaker 1: them again about the drug issue that quite possibly was
5:11
Speaker 1: caused by the trauma inflicted upon them by your client. Yeah,
5:15
Speaker 1: that's a winning strategy. So I don't really know what
5:22
Speaker 1: else they could possibly have up their sleeve, because you
5:25
Speaker 1: would think that if they had real, hard solid evidence,
5:28
Speaker 1: we would have heard or seen something about it by now.
5:33
Speaker 1: All they really have, though, is to try and crush
5:36
Speaker 1: the credibility of these accusers, And as much as they've
5:41
Speaker 1: tried to do that, as hard as they have went,
5:45
Speaker 1: I don't think they've done a good enough job as
5:47
Speaker 1: far as the defense goes to sway a juror or
5:51
Speaker 1: jurors to their side of the story. I think they're
5:54
Speaker 1: going to have to do that with evidence, and their
5:58
Speaker 1: chance is going to be this week, thirty five defense witnesses.
6:03
Speaker 1: Let's see what they bring to the table. But you
6:05
Speaker 1: better bring receipts. We don't want any nonsense where I'm
6:09
Speaker 1: not interested in more demeaning of people's character. Let's see
6:13
Speaker 1: the evidence. You got witnesses, you got DNA evidence. What
6:17
Speaker 1: do you guys have that proves to us that gland
6:20
Speaker 1: Maxwell is innocent of these charges? Because so far all
6:24
Speaker 1: we have is powerful testimony from accusers and a lot
6:28
Speaker 1: of maybe sos from the defense. So that might work
6:34
Speaker 1: if you're looking to gaslight some people, but usually that
6:39
Speaker 1: kind of thing falls flat in the court of law.
6:43
Speaker 1: So I'm not sure what the defense is thinking here,
6:49
Speaker 1: and I'm certainly not sure what they have planned for
6:51
Speaker 1: this week, but one thing you can be certain of,
6:55
Speaker 1: they definitely have something up their sleeve. What it's going
6:58
Speaker 1: to be, if it's going to be impactful, I don't know.
7:00
Speaker 1: But when you're dealing with people like Christian Everdell and
7:03
Speaker 1: Bobby Sternham and Laura Meninger and Puglicia and the rest
7:09
Speaker 1: of them. You know that they're going to have at
7:11
Speaker 1: least one more scumbaggery trick up their sleeve come this week. Now,
7:19
Speaker 1: the thirty five witnesses. I found that to be pretty interesting,
7:23
Speaker 1: considering the fact that, like I said earlier, we were
7:27
Speaker 1: being told that they might not bring any witnesses up.
7:31
Speaker 1: Now the question has to be asked, is Maxwell herself
7:33
Speaker 1: going to take the stand? You want to talk about fireworks? Now,
7:39
Speaker 1: I highly doubt that they're going to have Maxwell take
7:41
Speaker 1: the stand, but boy, would that be something. My guess
7:46
Speaker 1: is that she would end up looking like Prince Andrew
7:48
Speaker 1: on that stand when Prince Andrew was doing the interview
7:52
Speaker 1: with Emily Maitlis where he got absolutely rocked by her. Now,
7:56
Speaker 1: imagine a real interrogator asking those questions, somebody who does
8:01
Speaker 1: it for a living. So I don't know if the
8:06
Speaker 1: defense is going to test those waters. And my opinion is,
8:11
Speaker 1: and remember just my opinion, if we do see Glene
8:14
Speaker 1: Maxwell on the stand, it's a hail mary attempt by
8:17
Speaker 1: the defense to try and get their client off the hook. Here,
8:22
Speaker 1: we have an article this morning that goes into this
8:24
Speaker 1: a little bit. It's from Bloomberg Quint and it talks
8:29
Speaker 1: about Maxwell's plans for the week and how she plans
8:34
Speaker 1: to call thirty five defense witnesses. This is an article
8:38
Speaker 1: that was authored by Tina Davis, and we're going to
8:41
Speaker 1: dive into it real quick and take a quick look
8:44
Speaker 1: at what she has to say is coming up for
8:47
Speaker 1: the week ahead. Glenn Maxwell's defense team has listed thirty
8:53
Speaker 1: five witnesses that they plan to call in her defense,
8:56
Speaker 1: according to a court filing. The identities of the witnesses
9:00
Speaker 1: is not public, but prosecutors revealed the number in a
9:04
Speaker 1: letter to the judge on Sunday. So again, thirty five
9:10
Speaker 1: defense witnesses. Thirty five. I don't know how they think
9:17
Speaker 1: that that's going to happen in two days. But again
9:19
Speaker 1: I'm not some kind of court reporter or anything like that.
9:22
Speaker 1: Maybe this is the usual process to roll through these
9:25
Speaker 1: witnesses quick as hell. But if they're thirty five witnesses
9:30
Speaker 1: and they want to get done by say Friday, like
9:32
Speaker 1: they talked about, it's kind of what fifteen witnesses of
9:35
Speaker 1: a day roughly seventeen witnesses a day, so that's a lot.
9:39
Speaker 1: So I don't know. Maybe this bleeds over into the
9:43
Speaker 1: next week right as the defense continues to formulate their strategy,
9:49
Speaker 1: it might end up being a little bit longer. Three
9:54
Speaker 1: of the defense witnesses have asked to testify under their
9:58
Speaker 1: first names or a pseudonym, but the prosecutors oppose this.
10:02
Speaker 1: Maxwell's lawyer, Bobby Sternham said in a filing late Sunday.
10:06
Speaker 1: Maxwell's four accusers were allowed to testify against her over
10:10
Speaker 1: the first two weeks of the trial with pseudonyms or
10:13
Speaker 1: using only their first names, So I think that it
10:17
Speaker 1: would be fair right to let people anonymously come here
10:22
Speaker 1: and testify. If that's something that the court usually does,
10:25
Speaker 1: and they're not making any special request favors for Maxwell's team,
10:30
Speaker 1: then I don't see a problem with that, I guess.
10:33
Speaker 1: I mean again, look, if there's procedure that's already on
10:36
Speaker 1: the books for this sort of thing to happen, then
10:39
Speaker 1: that's something that any defendant should have access to, right.
10:44
Speaker 1: I'm not in the business of vigilante justice or people
10:48
Speaker 1: not having access to all of their rights. I think
10:54
Speaker 1: that all of us, even the most monstrous amongst us
10:57
Speaker 1: deserve those sorts of rights if we get into trouble.
11:01
Speaker 1: I think that it shows what sort of society we
11:03
Speaker 1: live in when we treat the most disgusting amongst us
11:08
Speaker 1: as you know, human beings for the most part as
11:11
Speaker 1: far as their punishment. But I'm not one of these
11:17
Speaker 1: people who is pitchforks and torches at somebody's house for
11:22
Speaker 1: vigilante justice type shit. So if this is something that
11:25
Speaker 1: is done usually for witnesses at a trial as far
11:29
Speaker 1: as the defense goes when it's a touchy subject, then fine,
11:33
Speaker 1: if they can work it out and the judge okays
11:35
Speaker 1: it and the prosecution school with it, whatever, Because really,
11:40
Speaker 1: at the end of the day, it's going to come
11:43
Speaker 1: down to the testimony, right, and what are these people?
11:47
Speaker 1: What could you possibly say to bolster Glehn Maxwell as
11:52
Speaker 1: a human being? Oh well, we were at the cavier
11:55
Speaker 1: of the Caviare party together and you know, she gave
11:59
Speaker 1: me some extra cavit are. I don't There's really nothing
12:02
Speaker 1: you're gonna be able to say about this lady that's
12:04
Speaker 1: going to bolster her image. So the court's ruling on
12:10
Speaker 1: this issue may impact the willingness of these witnesses to testify,
12:14
Speaker 1: thereby compromising mix Miss Maxwell's right to present her defense
12:18
Speaker 1: and may affect the witness order. Sternham wrote to the judge. Now, also,
12:23
Speaker 1: what this could do is set it up for some
12:24
Speaker 1: kind of retrial later on or basis for appeal. So
12:29
Speaker 1: that's another reason why I think they should just go
12:32
Speaker 1: ahead and let these people testify, even if it's uh anonymously,
12:37
Speaker 1: these three people, because I don't want the I don't
12:40
Speaker 1: want Maxwell to have any wiggle room when all of
12:42
Speaker 1: this is said and done about how it wasn't done correctly,
12:46
Speaker 1: or people were you know, cutting corners and the prosecution
12:50
Speaker 1: didn't file this piece of paperwork, or we didn't get
12:53
Speaker 1: to hear from this witness. I don't want to hear
12:55
Speaker 1: any of that. I want this lady to go to
12:58
Speaker 1: prison and I want to that to be the end
13:01
Speaker 1: of her right. None of this is drawn out nonsense,
13:04
Speaker 1: how the court didn't do things correctly and end up
13:07
Speaker 1: with like a bill Cosby cit prosecutors had complained to
13:10
Speaker 1: the judge that the defense didn't tell them the order
13:13
Speaker 1: in which the witnesses will be called. Sternham wrote that
13:16
Speaker 1: the defense has provided a tentative order, but that it
13:19
Speaker 1: is still trying to make travel arrangements for defense witnesses,
13:22
Speaker 1: many of whom are coming from locations out of the
13:25
Speaker 1: district and abroad. So I guess Glanne Maxwell has a
13:31
Speaker 1: train full of people that are showing up from abroad
13:33
Speaker 1: and outside of the district to the tune of thirty
13:36
Speaker 1: five witnesses. Now, I'm very interested to see this witness list.
13:41
Speaker 1: I'm very very interested to see who they have dug
13:45
Speaker 1: up to come out and play witness for Gallainne Maxwell,
13:49
Speaker 1: because boy seems like everybody's running from the hills when
13:54
Speaker 1: it comes to Glane Maxwell and their relationship with her previously,
13:59
Speaker 1: and it doesn't seem to be any different now, right.
14:02
Speaker 1: Have you heard anybody coming out in the press to
14:05
Speaker 1: her defense? Not really not for the most part. When
14:09
Speaker 1: she was arrested, you had like a Heraldo Riviera talking
14:13
Speaker 1: about how she should be bailed out, a couple of
14:16
Speaker 1: other studentods, But for the most part, nobody has been
14:21
Speaker 1: here championing Glenn Maxwell's cause. So it's interesting to me
14:27
Speaker 1: that they're going to have thirty five witnesses. Now, how
14:30
Speaker 1: many of those witnesses are going to be paid for professionals.
14:33
Speaker 1: That's another question that's on my mind. I'm guessing a
14:36
Speaker 1: lot of them, or at least a good number of them,
14:39
Speaker 1: are going to be professionals in certain areas forensics, memory experts,
14:45
Speaker 1: like we know they're talking about calling, you know, a
14:49
Speaker 1: bunch of different things in that vein as well as
14:53
Speaker 1: far as testimony. So they're going to get underway on
14:58
Speaker 1: Thursday and get this whole entire thing kicked off from
15:01
Speaker 1: the defense perspective, and it's going to be very, very
15:04
Speaker 1: interesting to see what they come up with. Also, before
15:08
Speaker 1: we go today, I wanted to touch on another article
15:12
Speaker 1: from Reuters and this article was authored by Luke Cohen
15:17
Speaker 1: and it talks about how the accusers place GALLAINN. Maxwell
15:22
Speaker 1: at the center of Epstein's abuse and it's definitely something
15:25
Speaker 1: we've touched on here as well. The picture that they
15:27
Speaker 1: have painted during the past two weeks by the survivors,
15:31
Speaker 1: by the accusers giving the testimony has been damning. It
15:35
Speaker 1: has placed Glenn Maxwell at the center of the nexus.
15:38
Speaker 1: It has made Gallaine Maxwell not just a bystander or
15:42
Speaker 1: somebody who's along for the ride. It's put her directly
15:45
Speaker 1: in a leadership role where according to these abusers, she's
15:49
Speaker 1: also engaged in the abuse herself, as well as the
15:53
Speaker 1: grooming and as well as the whole entire setting up
15:58
Speaker 1: the abuse. So I think that the testimony from the
16:03
Speaker 1: accusers has been absolutely strong and very damning for Gallainne Maxwell,
16:09
Speaker 1: and it has been certainly the foundationally the building blocks
16:16
Speaker 1: have been set that Maxwell was there, She paid out money,
16:19
Speaker 1: she was involved, making phone calls, doing introductions, all of it.
16:26
Speaker 1: So when it comes to putting Glane Maxwell at the
16:30
Speaker 1: quote unquote scene of the crime, she seems to be
16:33
Speaker 1: there quite a bit when all of this abuse takes place.
16:38
Speaker 1: So let's take a look at this article from Reuter's
16:40
Speaker 1: Real Quick and let's see what they have to say.
16:44
Speaker 1: Two weeks of emotional explicit testimony at Glane Maxwell's sex
16:47
Speaker 1: abuse trial from four women who said the British socialite
16:52
Speaker 1: co conspirator, general, all around, scuzbag, bipedal serpent, you mean,
16:56
Speaker 1: groomed them as teenagers for deceased financier pedophile Jeffrey Epstein
17:01
Speaker 1: could largely undercut the defense's argument that prosecutors are using
17:05
Speaker 1: Maxwell as a scapegoat. Legal experts said, yeah, pretty much
17:10
Speaker 1: what I said too. Look, you don't need to be
17:12
Speaker 1: a legal expert to understand that Maxwell's at the scene
17:16
Speaker 1: of the crime here over and over and over again.
17:19
Speaker 1: You don't have to be a legal expert here to
17:21
Speaker 1: understand that the stories that these girls are telling are heartbreaking,
17:26
Speaker 1: and all of them involve Glene Maxwell and some form
17:30
Speaker 1: of abuse or grooming. The women who say they met
17:36
Speaker 1: Maxwell at different times in places as far flung as Florida,
17:39
Speaker 1: New Mexico, and London all portrayed her es central to
17:43
Speaker 1: the sexual encounters they had with Epstein, And there's no
17:47
Speaker 1: doubt about it. And remember, this is just a small
17:50
Speaker 1: handful of people who have accused Maxwell and Epstein of
17:53
Speaker 1: this behavior, a very small scope. So when you think
17:58
Speaker 1: about all of the whole, entire, overall operation that they
18:03
Speaker 1: were running, it is obscene obscene that it was able
18:10
Speaker 1: to a go on for as long as it did,
18:12
Speaker 1: and b that so many people are still shielded by
18:16
Speaker 1: the NPA for the crimes that they obviously committed. Maxwell's
18:22
Speaker 1: attorneys did rattle three of the four accusers during during
18:26
Speaker 1: tough cross examination, and scored two favorable rulings from Judge
18:30
Speaker 1: Alison Nathan, who said that two of the four women
18:33
Speaker 1: prosecutors called victims were old enough to consent at the
18:37
Speaker 1: time of the alleged encounters. But as the defense prepares
18:41
Speaker 1: to mount its case, persuading jurors that Maxwell was not
18:44
Speaker 1: involved will be difficult. Some experts said one hundred percent.
18:49
Speaker 1: And let's remember here, Okay, I don't care if you're
18:52
Speaker 1: fourteen or forty five. If you're being trafficked for sexual purposes,
18:58
Speaker 1: that's not okay. The fact that she was sixteen in
19:04
Speaker 1: New Mexico is absurd to me that we would sit
19:09
Speaker 1: here and act like well, legal age of consent. There
19:12
Speaker 1: was no consent there. It wasn't a nineteen year old
19:15
Speaker 1: guy with a sixteen year old girlfriend. We're talking about
19:18
Speaker 1: two super powerful people who brought Annie over state lines
19:23
Speaker 1: to New Mexico with the explicit purpose in mind of
19:26
Speaker 1: abusing her because they knew the age of consent in
19:29
Speaker 1: Mexico was sixteen. Now, chew on that for a minute.
19:35
Speaker 1: Tell me it doesn't make you want to vomit, because
19:38
Speaker 1: that's exactly what they did. Go back to the episode
19:42
Speaker 1: I uploaded of Jeffrey Epstein chose New Mexico for a reason,
19:47
Speaker 1: and it's all right there. The government has done a
19:52
Speaker 1: good job keeping the jerry focused on Maxwell, said Sarah Chrisoff,
19:56
Speaker 1: a partner at law firm Dave Pitney and former federal
19:59
Speaker 1: process The government will argue that the fact that each
20:03
Speaker 1: victim has a different story and didn't exaggerate Maxwell's role
20:06
Speaker 1: in that story demonstrates the credibility of those accounts. Prosecutors
20:11
Speaker 1: who say Maxwell recruited and groomed four teenage girls for
20:15
Speaker 1: Epstein from nineteen ninety four to two thousand and four
20:18
Speaker 1: rested their case on Friday in Manhattan Federal Court. And look,
20:24
Speaker 1: it was again powerful testimony. The article goes on to say,
20:31
Speaker 1: when you skip down a little bit, the remarkable, the
20:34
Speaker 1: remarkably similar accounts of the accusers could help undermine that argument,
20:38
Speaker 1: experts said. And they're talking about her being a convenient
20:43
Speaker 1: stand in for Epstein. And again, these girls didn't know
20:46
Speaker 1: each other, they didn't all show up together and cancoct
20:49
Speaker 1: this story. So you're telling me all of these girls
20:52
Speaker 1: they're all connected with telekinesis and they figured out the
20:55
Speaker 1: story like that. Here's an idea, here's something to chew
20:59
Speaker 1: on from Maxwell and her team. How about this, how
21:02
Speaker 1: about it's all true? How about all of this really happened,
21:05
Speaker 1: and Glen Maxwell was a central part to all of it.
21:12
Speaker 1: Massages in Maxwell's central role in them came up repeatedly
21:15
Speaker 1: during the women's testimony. Now we all know that massages
21:19
Speaker 1: for Jeffrey Epstein and his crew was shorthand for sex.
21:23
Speaker 1: That's what they call them massages. Oh, Jeffrey needs to
21:26
Speaker 1: have three massages a day. Jane, who said she was
21:33
Speaker 1: fourteen in nineteen ninety four when Epstein first abused her,
21:36
Speaker 1: testified that Maxwell would sometimes participate when massages later escalated
21:41
Speaker 1: into sexual encounters. Prosecutors said the women's testimony provided them
21:46
Speaker 1: with details which are crucial to prove charges that Maxwell
21:49
Speaker 1: enticed the girls to travel across state lines and in
21:52
Speaker 1: some cases paid them for sexual activity. And here's where
21:56
Speaker 1: I don't get the fact that there's not the man
21:58
Speaker 1: Ax slapped on her. Isn't she being smashed with the
22:01
Speaker 1: man Act. That's what it was created for for state lines,
22:06
Speaker 1: for sex trafficking over state lines, But yet she's not
22:10
Speaker 1: blasted with it. It's absurd, just like her not being
22:14
Speaker 1: it with RICO is absurd. So the article just goes
22:19
Speaker 1: on to talk a little bit more about some of
22:22
Speaker 1: the things that occurred over the last couple of weeks,
22:25
Speaker 1: and we're not going to rehash all of that. I
22:27
Speaker 1: just wanted to touch on a few points in this
22:29
Speaker 1: article and it's going to be interesting to see where
22:33
Speaker 1: the defense goes, folks. And as we sit here on
22:37
Speaker 1: Monday waiting for Thursday to roll around, one thing's certainly
22:41
Speaker 1: obvious that the defense is going to actually have to
22:46
Speaker 1: amount some sort of tangible defense. That just attacking the
22:51
Speaker 1: credibility of these accusers is not going to be enough.
22:56
Speaker 1: So now the question remains, what exactly does the defense
23:02
Speaker 1: have left up its sleeve. If you'd like to contact me,
23:06
Speaker 1: you can do that at Bobby Capucci at ProtonMail dot com.
23:10
Speaker 1: That's bo bbuy c ap you Ceci at ProtonMail dot com.

23:24
Speaker 1: can be found in the description box one and welcome
23:27
Speaker 1: back to the Epstein Chronicles. Today marks the seventeenth day
23:32
Speaker 1: of the Glaine Maxwell trial, and yesterday was the first
23:36
Speaker 1: day that her defense took center stage. We heard from
23:40
Speaker 1: several witnesses yesterday, but I think the most impactful witness,
23:46
Speaker 1: or should I say cross examination of a witness happened
23:49
Speaker 1: when doctor Loftus was on the stand. Now we know
23:54
Speaker 1: that Ghleane Maxwell on her team have had a specific
23:57
Speaker 1: strategy this whole entire time, and that strategy has been
24:02
Speaker 1: to go after the memory of the witnesses as well
24:06
Speaker 1: as go after their credibility as a whole. And what
24:09
Speaker 1: they were hoping was that doctor Loftis would further those ambitions.
24:13
Speaker 1: Yesterday she did not. In fact, it seemed to me
24:19
Speaker 1: that the prosecution had its best day, at least procedurally,
24:23
Speaker 1: since this whole entire thing started. They had a couple
24:26
Speaker 1: of nice one liners. A couple of times they got
24:29
Speaker 1: the room to laugh, like when they were doing the
24:33
Speaker 1: cross examination of Kimberly and when asked if she had
24:38
Speaker 1: ever been to Palm Beach, she says no, and then
24:41
Speaker 1: they just you know, they end their cross there. That
24:44
Speaker 1: elicited some chuckles from the courtroom. And besides that, I
24:49
Speaker 1: think that they did a fantastic job punching holes in
24:54
Speaker 1: doctor loftis Her testimony that was supposed to be strong
24:59
Speaker 1: testimony for the defense. Glenn Maxwell's team. They were hoping
25:04
Speaker 1: that doctor Loftis would show out and make it seem
25:08
Speaker 1: like all of the stuff they have been talking about
25:11
Speaker 1: false memory and the rest of it is actually legit.
25:16
Speaker 1: But in reality, what happened was they kind of got
25:20
Speaker 1: in their own way. Doctor Loftis seemed to be more
25:26
Speaker 1: useful to the prosecution yesterday on the stand than she
25:30
Speaker 1: was for the defense, and coming into this, I kind
25:33
Speaker 1: of thought the same thing was going to occur. I mean, look,
25:36
Speaker 1: this is somebody, this lady, she's a hired gun. She
25:40
Speaker 1: does this for profit, and there is no scumbag scummy
25:45
Speaker 1: enough for her to avoid. And I get it right, Look,
25:50
Speaker 1: if you have the money and you're fighting for your
25:52
Speaker 1: life at a trial, I would employ all the specialists
25:55
Speaker 1: that I could afford as well, but maybe I would
25:58
Speaker 1: find some specialists that aren't involved in people losing. You know,
26:03
Speaker 1: there got to be a couple out there, right. But
26:06
Speaker 1: what it really comes down to, and I know this
26:08
Speaker 1: is going to be groundbreaking what I'm about to say,
26:11
Speaker 1: but here's an idea. Don't traffic children, don't abuse children,
26:18
Speaker 1: don't hurt other people, and don't commit crimes, and you
26:21
Speaker 1: won't have to worry about any of this shit. But
26:26
Speaker 1: maxwell her and her friends, you know, they were able
26:28
Speaker 1: to get away with it for so long that it
26:30
Speaker 1: was normalized to them. So when they get caught and
26:35
Speaker 1: they find out they have no friends left to protect them, well,
26:39
Speaker 1: it's a big shock to the system. Meanwhile, the rest
26:42
Speaker 1: of us are sitting around looking at each other, like,
26:45
Speaker 1: how weren't these people arrested when Maria told the FBI
26:50
Speaker 1: about them in ninety six? How aren't they arrested? Insert
26:55
Speaker 1: a million times here. But now that Maxwell is finally
27:03
Speaker 1: facing a jury of her peers, it's not looking good
27:07
Speaker 1: in my opinion for now. Obviously, they still have today
27:10
Speaker 1: to go and remember they said they had a witness
27:13
Speaker 1: list of thirty five people, So who knows what's coming
27:17
Speaker 1: down the old shoot here, But they would have to
27:22
Speaker 1: have something earth shaking, like ground rattling, earth shaking, existential
27:29
Speaker 1: world elimination event. Because what has been provided so far
27:36
Speaker 1: as testimony in defense of Glenn Maxwell, I haven't seen
27:40
Speaker 1: anything that would make the testimony of what those survivors
27:45
Speaker 1: had to say look any less impactful or make me
27:50
Speaker 1: question myself saying, ah, man, you know, maybe none of that.
27:56
Speaker 1: There has been no material witnesses, just a bunch of
28:01
Speaker 1: what ifs, right, That's all that Maxwell's defense has provided
28:06
Speaker 1: us what ifs, well, what if the memory is faulty,
28:09
Speaker 1: what if this? What if that? Meanwhile, the survivors are
28:13
Speaker 1: sitting there across the table from Glenn Maxwell and saying,
28:17
Speaker 1: this is what you did to me. So I have
28:22
Speaker 1: found that to be way, way, way more impactful than
28:25
Speaker 1: the honestly nonsensical witness list that was brought forward yesterday.
28:31
Speaker 1: Now there might be something more to it, right, some
28:34
Speaker 1: of the other witnesses that they brought up yesterday, the
28:37
Speaker 1: guy from the supply company, and they might be setting
28:41
Speaker 1: all of that up for some sort of closing that
28:45
Speaker 1: they have prepared, But as of now, it just doesn't
28:49
Speaker 1: really make all that much sense their witness lists so far.
28:54
Speaker 1: If you're going to try and you know, prove that
28:58
Speaker 1: your client is innocent, shouldn't you have a couple of
29:01
Speaker 1: actual character witnesses and people who are like, there's no
29:04
Speaker 1: way this happened. I was there at the time. But really,
29:08
Speaker 1: what you have when it comes down to it, is
29:11
Speaker 1: for women who were girls or young ladies when they
29:16
Speaker 1: were in the clutches of Maxwell and Epstein, who are
29:19
Speaker 1: now saying, look, this is what happened to us, This
29:23
Speaker 1: is what she did, And to me, that is way
29:26
Speaker 1: more powerful than some quote unquote expert coming up there
29:31
Speaker 1: and telling me some what ifs or hypotheticals or about studies.
29:36
Speaker 1: I don't need to see any studies, to be honest
29:38
Speaker 1: with you. I've read what happened here, i have seen
29:42
Speaker 1: the evidence. I have heard what the police department in
29:45
Speaker 1: Palm Beach has had to say about this from the
29:48
Speaker 1: very beginning. So I don't need a mis Looftis to
29:53
Speaker 1: tell me about false memories. And I think that the
29:58
Speaker 1: jerry is going to see it that way as well.
30:01
Speaker 1: Whereas the jury just got done listening to the testimony
30:04
Speaker 1: from the survivors, which was absolutely horrible and gut wrenching
30:11
Speaker 1: to listen to, and then that anchored by the testimony
30:15
Speaker 1: that Annie gave, you would think that the defense is
30:19
Speaker 1: gonna have to come correct because what the jury has
30:22
Speaker 1: seen so far, as far as a picture being painted,
30:27
Speaker 1: is that Glenn Maxwell was at the nexus of all
30:30
Speaker 1: of this. She had her dirty little fingers on the controls,
30:35
Speaker 1: and she was right there with Jeffrey Epstein for the
30:37
Speaker 1: whole entire thing. And as far as the defenses go,
30:43
Speaker 1: so far, we haven't seen anything from them that would
30:47
Speaker 1: make me or I would think the jury take a
30:50
Speaker 1: step back and say, oh, maybe we've looked at this
30:53
Speaker 1: the wrong way. Maybe we've missed something throughout this whole
30:56
Speaker 1: entire thing. And this has been the key piece of
30:58
Speaker 1: evidence that proves that well, I had nothing to do
31:01
Speaker 1: with this. I've been waiting for that piece of evidence for, oh,
31:05
Speaker 1: I don't know, three years now, and I certainly haven't
31:08
Speaker 1: seen it yet. So I really wonder what the plan's
31:13
Speaker 1: going to be for the defense today. And if they
31:18
Speaker 1: don't have something monumental, I honestly don't see how Maxwell's
31:23
Speaker 1: going to get off here. The mountain of evidence is
31:27
Speaker 1: that high, folks. And remember we're only talking about this
31:30
Speaker 1: small scope. If this was the actual full scope of
31:33
Speaker 1: what went on, forget it, absolutely forget it. This would
31:37
Speaker 1: be the trial of trials with all of the people
31:41
Speaker 1: that would be wrapped up in it, even just on
31:43
Speaker 1: the fringes, right. And I think a lot of people
31:46
Speaker 1: were hoping that that's what this was going to be,
31:50
Speaker 1: and I've tried to tamper down those expectations because I
31:54
Speaker 1: knew exactly what we were getting into here. This was
31:58
Speaker 1: never going to be the full month, the full exposure
32:01
Speaker 1: of Jeffrey Epstein and his cohorts. That was never going
32:06
Speaker 1: to occur unless there was a Rico case. Now, the
32:10
Speaker 1: only other way that this can happen, where we can
32:12
Speaker 1: really get to the bottom of all of this, is
32:14
Speaker 1: if that non prosecution agreement is thrown out by one
32:17
Speaker 1: of the higher courts, which would have to be the
32:20
Speaker 1: Supreme Court at this point. Now, if that happens and
32:23
Speaker 1: all of those protections go away, then it will be
32:27
Speaker 1: a brand new day, if you will, in the world
32:32
Speaker 1: of bringing down the scumbags hanging out with Jeffrey Epstein.
32:36
Speaker 1: But that non prosecution agreement, it was put in place
32:39
Speaker 1: for a reason. They knew what they were doing, and
32:41
Speaker 1: they were looking to provide themselves protection in the future
32:45
Speaker 1: as well. And here we are all these years later
32:50
Speaker 1: and that non prosecution agreement still looming large. When they
32:55
Speaker 1: were going through the process to try and get that
32:59
Speaker 1: thing away with it was I was very hopeful that
33:03
Speaker 1: they'd be able to do that, but unfortunately the panel
33:09
Speaker 1: ruled seven to four not to do it. What I'm
33:13
Speaker 1: gonna do later is I'm gonna post an episode about
33:16
Speaker 1: that that whole entire situation with the NPA and what occurred,
33:21
Speaker 1: because it's a big deal and it's a big part
33:23
Speaker 1: of the overall story. Right. But when we moved back
33:29
Speaker 1: to what we saw yesterday and what we're expecting to
33:33
Speaker 1: see today, I would hope that the prosecution keeps up
33:38
Speaker 1: their good work that they really dove into yesterday with
33:43
Speaker 1: the procedure anyway, it was nice to see them handle
33:47
Speaker 1: business from their end, short and sweet. They didn't get
33:52
Speaker 1: into any kind of like long drawn out nonsensical bs
33:55
Speaker 1: and they just hammered home their points and getting doctor
33:59
Speaker 1: Loftis to agree about the memory stuff at the end.
34:02
Speaker 1: That was a master's stroke, very very good work. And
34:07
Speaker 1: just about everybody that I've talked to who is hip
34:10
Speaker 1: to how these things happen in the courtroom has said
34:13
Speaker 1: the same thing about what the prosecution did yesterday and
34:16
Speaker 1: how well things went for the prosecution. So I hope
34:21
Speaker 1: that we can see some of that today as well.
34:23
Speaker 1: I hope that carries over. But before we get there,
34:26
Speaker 1: let's take a look at some of the headlines from
34:29
Speaker 1: overnight that have to do with what we should see today. Now.
34:35
Speaker 1: One of the first headlines we're going to look at
34:37
Speaker 1: is from ABC News, and it's about how the judge,
34:43
Speaker 1: Judge Nathan, She denied the request for anonymity for the
34:48
Speaker 1: witnesses for Maxwell. Let's jump in here and see what's what.
34:53
Speaker 1: Defense attorneys for Glenn Maxwell, the longtime associate of serial
34:57
Speaker 1: sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, began to present their case on
35:00
Speaker 1: Thursday after a judge denied their request to allow three
35:03
Speaker 1: of their anticipated witnesses to testify under a pseudonym or
35:08
Speaker 1: using only their first names. Now, when this was all
35:12
Speaker 1: first talked about, I said, hey, whatever, who cares. If
35:15
Speaker 1: that's the way the court rolls, then fine. You know, look,
35:18
Speaker 1: I don't want to reinvent the wheel here, right, and
35:20
Speaker 1: I don't want Glenn Maxwell having any kind of out
35:23
Speaker 1: because of procedurals. But it is a very odd request
35:27
Speaker 1: when you talk to people who are in the know here,
35:29
Speaker 1: and I'm certainly not a court reporter, folks, I'm not
35:32
Speaker 1: even a journalist, But when you speak to people who
35:36
Speaker 1: follow this thing, this is this kind of thing. I mean,
35:38
Speaker 1: this is a very odd request, I guess, and not
35:41
Speaker 1: something that is granted very often by the court. So
35:45
Speaker 1: you could see why Judge Nathan wouldn't allow it. This
35:49
Speaker 1: article goes on to say in her decision, Judge Allison
35:52
Speaker 1: Nathan of the US District Court for the Southern District
35:55
Speaker 1: of New York wrote that the court, after significant independent research,
36:00
Speaker 1: could not identify a single case in which a court
36:03
Speaker 1: has previously granted the use of pseudonyms to defense witnesses,
36:07
Speaker 1: leading her to believe that the request was unprecedented. So
36:12
Speaker 1: there you have it, right, if it's never happened before,
36:14
Speaker 1: certainly not bending any rules for Glenn Maxwell. Why would
36:18
Speaker 1: anyone want to do that. The rules have been bent
36:21
Speaker 1: for her for way too long anyway. So that's why
36:24
Speaker 1: Judge Nathan denied that request. And that's why we're not
36:28
Speaker 1: going to see any of any of these people come
36:33
Speaker 1: and give their testimony anonymously. That's not going to happen.
36:39
Speaker 1: So let's see what else do we got here. We
36:43
Speaker 1: have about Glenn Maxwell's ex assistant, Kimberly Espinosa, and how
36:54
Speaker 1: she was called up and how she was gushing about Maxwell,
36:57
Speaker 1: and this that the other thing. You know, out of
37:00
Speaker 1: all of the people that have worked with Maxwell and Epstein,
37:03
Speaker 1: this is the only one that they have found that
37:05
Speaker 1: could come up there as a character witness. So Kimberly Espinoza,
37:09
Speaker 1: she was the first witness called yesterday and she told
37:12
Speaker 1: the Jerry about her time working side by side with
37:16
Speaker 1: Maxwell from ninety six to two thousand and two, and
37:19
Speaker 1: like we talked about yesterday, she at first thought Maxwell
37:23
Speaker 1: and Epstein were a couple, according to Espinoza's testimony, and
37:28
Speaker 1: then she worked at the Madison Avenue office with Epstein,
37:35
Speaker 1: and then she worked as Maxwell's assistant right now, Espinosa
37:40
Speaker 1: claimed that Epstein asked her to send flowers to another woman,
37:44
Speaker 1: Selena Middlefart, during that time behind Maxwell's back. What that does,
37:50
Speaker 1: That goes to show you and why I'm bringing that
37:52
Speaker 1: up is just to punch home the fact Maxwell and
37:55
Speaker 1: Epstein were never an exclusive couple, right like you or
37:58
Speaker 1: I would be you and your significant other where you
38:01
Speaker 1: would never think about being with somebody else or hurting
38:04
Speaker 1: them or anything like that. That wasn't what Epstein and
38:07
Speaker 1: Maxwell were. It was a business arrangement. And I know
38:12
Speaker 1: the official narrative doesn't state that, but the official narrative
38:15
Speaker 1: doesn't state a lot of things that have been proven
38:17
Speaker 1: to be correct. And I would think that after all
38:22
Speaker 1: of these years that people would be hip to the
38:25
Speaker 1: fact that the legacy media is being lapped when it
38:29
Speaker 1: comes to this story. The stuff that they bring up,
38:31
Speaker 1: the stuff that they talk about, we have literally talked
38:34
Speaker 1: about years ago. For instance, Shelley Anne Lewis, gwendolen Beck
38:41
Speaker 1: those episodes. I uploaded those episodes a year and a half,
38:46
Speaker 1: two years ago in some cases. So we've been talking
38:49
Speaker 1: about these people for a very very long time. And
38:52
Speaker 1: to see that some of them are being brought up
38:54
Speaker 1: here in the proceedings, it's certainly a step in the
38:56
Speaker 1: right direction, but they need to go further because there
39:01
Speaker 1: are so many other people that were involved in this
39:04
Speaker 1: that it's insane to me that we're not seeing people
39:08
Speaker 1: like Sarah Kelln Vickers, or Adriana Ross or Leslie Groff.
39:15
Speaker 1: It's just almost impossible for me to understand how people
39:21
Speaker 1: who had such a huge role in what went on here,
39:24
Speaker 1: and people who have actually been fingered by survivors have
39:28
Speaker 1: been able to stay out of the firing line. And
39:34
Speaker 1: again it goes back to the scope, right, but at
39:38
Speaker 1: the very least these people should have been called up
39:41
Speaker 1: by the prosecution, should have been hit with some kind
39:46
Speaker 1: of indictment or pressure to come up and speak. Now,
39:52
Speaker 1: that's not what this turned into, though, this is you know,
39:56
Speaker 1: this is very specific when it comes to the crimes
40:01
Speaker 1: that they're talking about, and the fact that it is
40:06
Speaker 1: just being brought up now. The fact that Glenn Maxwell
40:10
Speaker 1: was able to avoid prosecution for so long is really
40:17
Speaker 1: one of the biggest issues with all of this, and
40:20
Speaker 1: one of the biggest issues that has to be discussed
40:22
Speaker 1: even after this case ends. This trial's over, because the
40:26
Speaker 1: implications for what occurred here are gigantic. The fact that
40:32
Speaker 1: there were so many people who were hip to what's
40:35
Speaker 1: going on here and people that are in positions of power.
40:40
Speaker 1: The fact that Acosta was left holding the bag when
40:44
Speaker 1: there are so many people above him that should have
40:47
Speaker 1: been clipped as well, the fact that the prosecutors in
40:51
Speaker 1: Florida the first time around worked with the defense attorneys
40:55
Speaker 1: to undercut the testimony and the credibility of the witnesses.
41:03
Speaker 1: This is the kind of thing that has been happening
41:05
Speaker 1: in this case since the very beginning. So when people
41:11
Speaker 1: are worried that things are going to continue to go
41:14
Speaker 1: that way, it's a legit concern, right. But what I
41:18
Speaker 1: will say is this, folks, so far, when it comes
41:23
Speaker 1: to this specific trial, this specific case, I don't think
41:27
Speaker 1: Maxwell has done enough as far as her defense team
41:31
Speaker 1: and the legal arguments that they have brought forward. I
41:34
Speaker 1: think that what they have so far is really nothing.
41:38
Speaker 1: They're hoping that the playbook from the early two thousands
41:42
Speaker 1: is going to be relevant now. But just like Urban
41:47
Speaker 1: Meyer found out down in Jacksonville, these are the pros.
41:52
Speaker 1: This is in college anymore, and it's the same for Maxwell.
41:56
Speaker 1: Things have changed. The whole landscape has changed. The way
41:58
Speaker 1: people look at these kinds of crimes has changed. And
42:02
Speaker 1: whenever there is a woman involved in a manner such
42:06
Speaker 1: as this, people are not very happy about it, right,
42:13
Speaker 1: and people are not willing to look the other way.
42:18
Speaker 1: It becomes even more heinous when a woman is involved,
42:21
Speaker 1: and a lot of times when the jerry sees that,
42:24
Speaker 1: they go hard in the paint. So I'm expecting, unless
42:29
Speaker 1: there's some sort of super bombshell that we can't anticipate,
42:33
Speaker 1: that we're going to get a little bit more of
42:35
Speaker 1: the same today, and that the prosecution is going to
42:38
Speaker 1: set themselves up for another great day. I just don't
42:42
Speaker 1: see how any of these witnesses that Maxwell's going to
42:46
Speaker 1: call are going to be enough or have enough knowledge
42:50
Speaker 1: of what went on here to punch holes in the
42:53
Speaker 1: argument of the for survivors and the testimony that they've
42:58
Speaker 1: brought forward. Their stories are all locked in together, and
43:02
Speaker 1: everything that they talk about, you can see the pattern
43:06
Speaker 1: in each separate case, how it lines up. You could
43:10
Speaker 1: see how Maxwell and Epstein groomed them, you can see
43:14
Speaker 1: how they brought them into their orbit. And those are
43:16
Speaker 1: those foundational blocks that have been built over the first
43:20
Speaker 1: two weeks of testimony. And I think that as we
43:25
Speaker 1: get closer to a judgment on Glenn Maxwell's future, I'm
43:30
Speaker 1: getting a little bit more confident as these days go by. Now,
43:33
Speaker 1: I'll tell you what, I really wasn't all that confident
43:36
Speaker 1: last week when the defense, I mean, when the prosecution
43:39
Speaker 1: rested their case. I really, you know, it took some
43:43
Speaker 1: time for me to sit down and really say, all right, well,
43:47
Speaker 1: we'll see what's going to happen here. But now, after
43:50
Speaker 1: yesterday and seeing how doctor Loftus's testimony really didn't play well,
43:57
Speaker 1: I don't see how they're going to be able to
43:59
Speaker 1: bring anyone forward to punch holes in the memory argument here.
44:05
Speaker 1: If their doctor, their big shot professional couldn't do it,
44:09
Speaker 1: I doubt any of these other witnesses are going to
44:11
Speaker 1: be able to do it, so today we're going to
44:15
Speaker 1: see what's up. We know we have three witnesses that
44:18
Speaker 1: the defense is talking about calling one of them Eva,
44:23
Speaker 1: another Michelle, and I believe one is Kelly, and for me,
44:27
Speaker 1: the most interesting out of those names is Eva. I'm
44:30
Speaker 1: wondering if it's Eva Dubin, but I highly doubt it,
44:33
Speaker 1: So we'll see in a little while, I guess. Anyway, folks,
44:37
Speaker 1: I'll be here same as usual, taking notes, getting ready
44:41
Speaker 1: for the evening update so we can go over a
44:44
Speaker 1: little bit at least of what went on in the courtroom.
44:48
Speaker 1: All right, everybody, Until then, I hope you all have
44:51
Speaker 1: a great day and I will be back later. If
