- 0:02Welcome to the live stream. Welcome to the basement, where
- 0:06you're always welcome. We used to say, remember the
- 0:09good old days, basement dwellers.
- 0:10This is like the Mr. Rogers neighborhood for gold and silver
- 0:14investors. But unless you're very lucky,
- 0:17your grandparents, your parents didn't teach you this.
- 0:22And it's the most critical fundamental factor that every
- 0:26investor in precious metals needs to remember.
- 0:29And I heard it said like never before earlier today.
- 0:32It gave me a burning desire, whatever they call that
- 0:35preachers, you know, like it lit a fire inside of me that on a
- 0:39Saturday night, late at night, I want to go live.
- 0:42I want to make this video to talk to you, to tell you the
- 0:45story as I heard it. Matt Pipenberg, a guy that I
- 0:49have a ton of respect for, I think he's with Gold Switzerland
- 0:52or some company like that. Anyway, he told the story.
- 0:56I'm going to tell it to you right now, and then there's a
- 0:59lot, lot more. I'm going to give you
- 1:01indisputable proof that what he's talking about is true.
- 1:05And it's a critical component to the fact set that any of us gold
- 1:10and silver investors need to keep in mind.
- 1:12And I know you're a gold and silver investor.
- 1:14I know you're a person who loves to talk about silver and gold.
- 1:19And it's a big, big honor right now that you've joined us here
- 1:23in the basement. The basement doors always open
- 1:26for you. I really hope you found a little
- 1:29home away from home, a little escape from all the confusion in
- 1:32the world where we talk about the facts about thousands of
- 1:36years of history on our side at We are basement dwellers.
- 1:41We love our silver and gold. Please give this a thumbs up.
- 1:44Subscribe to the channel. It'll help get the word out to
- 1:46more and more people. So let's go for a little
- 1:50journey, little story time. I want you to think of two
- 1:54boxes. Let's say shoe box size boxes.
- 1:57Think of two boxes and think of a house.
- 2:01OK, just a normal house. I don't know where you live, you
- 2:04guys joining us, basement dwellers, we're all over the
- 2:07world, but let's just say a normal house.
- 2:11That cost about 500,000 paper U.S. dollars in today's money.
- 2:17That's about average. That's what they say.
- 2:19My house is worth 500 grand. I don't think it's worth that
- 2:22much, but that's a whole different story.
- 2:24Think about two boxes. Think about a house.
- 2:28OK, think back 100 years ago. If you wanted to buy a house
- 2:34back then, the cost would have been about $5000 in paper money.
- 2:39OK, so it's 100 years ago. You want to buy a house, you've
- 2:43got one of your boxes that has $5001 bills.
- 2:49These things, right? Remember that's what's in there,
- 2:545000 of those in one box. Your other box, because gold was
- 2:59about $20.00 an ounce back then, has 251 oz gold coins.
- 3:05You can take either of those boxes.
- 3:08OK, this is 100 years ago, 1924 and go buy yourself a really
- 3:14nice house. OK, now Fast forward to today
- 3:20and you want to buy that same house, same equivalent house,
- 3:24about $500,000. OK, think about your two boxes.
- 3:29If you have the but if you kept the box that has the $5001
- 3:34bills, guess what? Sorry to break it to you, you
- 3:38can't buy the house for that amount of money.
- 3:41You can't even furnish but maybe one or two of the rooms in that
- 3:46house in today's money with those $5001 bills.
- 3:50But guess what, If you picked the box with the 251 oz gold
- 3:57coins, those are worth almost 600,000 US Fiat dollars in
- 4:04today's money. You can buy the house, you can
- 4:08furnish the house, you can probably get landscaping done
- 4:12and have a big party for all your basement dweller fans.
- 4:16Guys, that is one of the most critical key components that my
- 4:21parents didn't. I love my parents.
- 4:23They're wonderful people. My mom watches Mom.
- 4:25I'm not mad about it. OK?
- 4:27It's not your fault and I'm gonna explain why right now.
- 4:30Your parents didn't teach you about gold and silver.
- 4:34Unless you were very, very lucky, Your grandparents
- 4:38probably didn't teach you about gold and silver.
- 4:40My grandpa, Hal Randomire, may he rest in peace Here, I'll show
- 4:45you. Look, here's his clock.
- 4:47I don't know why I keep it down here.
- 4:50And I think it's still going. Yeah.
- 4:53He died like, five years ago. And that's what I got this
- 4:56clock. He read the Wall Street Journal
- 5:00every day. He invested in the stock market.
- 5:02He did pretty well right for a for a a kid that grew up in the
- 5:06Depression. He didn't I talk to him all the
- 5:09time before I had kids, I would go over or maybe once a week,
- 5:13twice a month, whatever it was. I would go sit and talk to him.
- 5:16We'd talk about the economy. He thought things were screwed
- 5:19up back then, 1520 years ago. I'll tell you what, he's rolling
- 5:23over in his grave right now. But none the less, he never
- 5:26Grandpa, Grandpa Rademeyer never taught me about gold and silver,
- 5:31OK? So it's not our fault that we
- 5:34weren't. It's not our parents fault or
- 5:36our grandparents fault. But why?
- 5:39I'll tell you this is this is what I heard in Pipenberg said
- 5:42this. In the USA, gold is deliberately
- 5:45misunderstood. And I'm gonna give you absolute
- 5:49proof of that at the end of this video, OK?
- 5:54And think about this. I want you to think about this,
- 5:56OK? In the 1930s, This is why your
- 5:59parents and grandparents, This is why we are the lone wolfs.
- 6:02We are the Green Berets of the financial world.
- 6:06This is why nobody understands gold and silver.
- 6:09They don't teach it to my kids in the public school district,
- 6:12right? They don't teach it at any
- 6:14schools, right? Hardly anybody teaches about
- 6:17gold and silver. But why?
- 6:19Well, think about it. In 1930, they made it illegal
- 6:24for U.S. citizens to own gold. It was illegal.
- 6:28So people like my grandpa, when he was a kid, he couldn't buy
- 6:31gold or silver as a as an investment.
- 6:35Then in 1971, to make matters worse, they took us off the gold
- 6:41standard. So think about it right?
- 6:44They pretty much at that point. And then in 1974, icing on the
- 6:49cake, they started the futures market.
- 6:52Do I have to pull up the memo that they wrote when they
- 6:56started the futures market? I think I do.
- 6:58This is going to be quick. I'm keeping this under 15
- 7:01minutes. I I swore to Susie I'd be short.
- 7:04Hold on here. Let me pull it up real quick.
- 7:07Let's see if I can pull this wrong one.
- 7:10Cancel present. OK, slides.
- 7:14This is going to be fast. Hold on, guys.
- 7:16Here it is. Manipulation.
- 7:20Add the screen. This memo, we've read it so many
- 7:27times, right? All right, I mean, I, I can read
- 7:30it. I can read it so fast your head
- 7:32will spin. But this was released as part of
- 7:35WikiLeaks, right? So in 1930, they made it illegal
- 7:39to own silver and gold. Then in 1971, they took silver
- 7:42and gold out of the money system.
- 7:45President Nixon. Temporarily, temporarily, right?
- 7:47Those I forget guys, it's temporary been 55 years, but
- 7:52temporary. And then shortly thereafter that
- 7:56we had this to the this is a memo between like the the LBMA
- 8:01futures guys in the USI don't know, but basically that telling
- 8:05them, well, I'll tell you here to the dealer's expectations
- 8:09will be the formation of a sizable gold futures market.
- 8:11Each of the dealers expressed the belief that the futures
- 8:15market, this is in the mid 70s would be of significant
- 8:18proportion and physical trading would be minuscule by
- 8:22comparison. Also expressed was the
- 8:25expectation that large volume futures dealings would create a
- 8:30highly volatile market. In turn, the volatile price
- 8:34movements would diminish the initial demand for physical
- 8:39holding and most likely negate long term hoarding by U.S.
- 8:44citizens. OK, there proofs in the pudding.
- 8:46I know. I've been bringing that up.
- 8:48That just irks me. That explains so much of what's
- 8:51going on, right? But don't forget, don't forget
- 8:54what we started with that $5000 house in 1924, right?
- 9:00If you kept the gold, you could buy it today and then some.
- 9:03If you kept the paper, you couldn't.
- 9:07All right, case closed. Now, don't be mad at your
- 9:11grandparents. Don't be mad at your parents.
- 9:13I heard a wise. This is off subject, but
- 9:16something I thought was very a lot of people in life, you know
- 9:20them, I know them right? And I think everybody to 1° and
- 9:24or another has gripes with their parents.
- 9:26It's just part of life. But I heard this really smart
- 9:28person once I have no gripes with my parents.
- 9:31They're perfect mom, I love you. But none the less a lot of
- 9:35people do. And I heard this very smart
- 9:38woman, old German woman say one time, if you're going to be mad
- 9:41at your parents, you really should be mad at your
- 9:44grandparents because your grandparents screwed your
- 9:47parents up. But then you can be mad at your
- 9:52great grandparents. Anyway, that little life wisdom
- 9:55from Ron's basement. Hey, it's Saturday night.
- 9:57We're having some fun. Think about this, OK, in this
- 10:01big context picture of gold and silver right now, think about
- 10:05what it's done in the last 100 years, like we talked about.
- 10:09Think about where we are right now, OK, this is critical.
- 10:12This is scary, downright scary where we are right now.
- 10:16And I wrote this down earlier 'cause I thought you guys, we
- 10:19need to know this. We need to and, and tell me if
- 10:23you, you know, look, maybe I'm crazy.
- 10:24You can tell me. I can't really read all the
- 10:27comments 'cause I can't do all five things at once.
- 10:29But I do later. But, but, or send me an e-mail.
- 10:33Help me if you think I'm wrong. But to me, this is crystal clear
- 10:37and very, very scary regarding where we sit as a country right
- 10:42now. Right now, the American debt
- 10:44levels are very similar, the debt levels we have right now as
- 10:49they were at the end of World War 2.
- 10:52But think about this. Think about this.
- 10:55That was right at the end of a major World War #1 #2 we also
- 11:03had just gotten through the Great Depression.
- 11:06So right now, where we sit in our country, we have the same
- 11:10level of debt as we did when we just finished fighting the
- 11:14greatest World War in the history of the world and had
- 11:19endured through the greatest depression of all times.
- 11:22Right now, we're in that same crappy financial situation.
- 11:26Congratulations, Washington, DC, right?
- 11:30I'm sure our president's all on top of it.
- 11:33We we know that, right? He's chipper.
- 11:36I hope he's over his cold anyway.
- 11:39But the other big thing is also at that time, we were the world
- 11:44power, OK, or the world, we, we had just gained a lot of power
- 11:49in the world. Think about where we are now.
- 11:51Think about the bricks. Think about China.
- 11:52Think the the we are the opposite situation.
- 11:56We're in a situation where we are being challenged, right,
- 11:59where we are being challenged at with the level of power that we
- 12:02have. Also, at that time, we were like
- 12:04the only, we were the biggest manufacturing country in the
- 12:07world. And there's a bonus, the icing
- 12:12on the cake at that time, OK, we also were on the gold standard.
- 12:19And we know, right, that the 180 years that the United States was
- 12:24on the gold standard marked it like the greatest period of
- 12:27economic and technological advancement in the history of
- 12:32the world, right? It worked really, really well.
- 12:35So think about where this is scary.
- 12:37This should put shivers in your spine.
- 12:39I'm not going to knock your sock.
- 12:40We're not going to knock our socks off basement.
- 12:42And by the way, thank you for joining me for this brief live
- 12:47stream video. It's a Saturday night now.
- 12:49You may be watching it on Sunday, wherever you are, but
- 12:52right now, I hope you feel like you're you're in the basement
- 12:55with me, OK? Because we're digging in deep.
- 12:58It's a big deal that you give me your time.
- 13:00I just want to say thank you, OK?
- 13:02I think I already begged you for a thumbs up and a subscriber
- 13:06thing, whatever. But thank you seriously for
- 13:09being here, basement dwellers, and thank you to our channel
- 13:12sponsors, Pinbex, PINBEX, Pinbex.
- 13:17If you want to get the best deals on silver and gold, the
- 13:20best selection, the best service and what am I missing?
- 13:25Oh, prices numero Uno. Seriously, investigate Pinbex.
- 13:32I did it at the at the recommendation of one of you
- 13:36couple of you said, dude, check out Pinbex.
- 13:39I did. I've worked with them number of
- 13:42times. That's before they sponsored the
- 13:44basement. I'll only take sponsorships from
- 13:47companies that I work with that I can trust.
- 13:49So check out Pendbeck's First Mining Gold's the stock I own.
- 13:53Fortuna Mining is another stock that I own.
- 13:56I do not give financial advice. Mining stocks are risky, Life is
- 14:01risky, marriage is risky, investing is risky.
- 14:05So do your own due diligence. But I will tell you they are
- 14:08both make this live stream possible and coincidentally are
- 14:13both companies that I also own stock in before they sponsored
- 14:17the channel. So thank you on a serious note
- 14:19to all our sponsors and I hope that you will support them.
- 14:22Now put it in perspective guys. Joe messed up things are right
- 14:28now in this country. I'm gonna do a I'm gonna do a
- 14:32video next week. The 11 things.
- 14:34I mean, it's unbelievable how screwed up financially we are in
- 14:38this country. We're more screwed up than we
- 14:42were at the end of World War Two when we had just emerged from
- 14:48the Great Depression. Is that sinking in, Right.
- 14:52And we were still on the gold standard back then, and we had
- 14:56just won World War 2, so we were moving in a direction right
- 15:00where we could. Now, I mean, it feels like we're
- 15:04going into World War Three. And doesn't it feel like we're
- 15:09going into a Great Depression? I mean, it's scary.
- 15:13So that that example I gave you earlier about gold from 1924
- 15:19through today, 100 years later, Yeah, gold did.
- 15:24Silver did hold its value, right?
- 15:28But that was that was during the best of times, OK, That was
- 15:32during a time period where everything kind of worked out
- 15:35overall rosy for the United States.
- 15:38We won World War Two, we won the Cold War, right?
- 15:42But now I think we turned the corner.
- 15:45I don't like it. Look, I am, I am an American.
- 15:48I'm like you, I imagine. Well, you're not all American.
- 15:50You guys are all over the place. But none the less, none the
- 15:54less, the reality is right, the situation, the the next 100
- 15:59years aren't going to be like the last 100 years.
- 16:02The next 10 years are not going to be like the last 10 years.
- 16:07That's called recency bias. Well, that's the way it always
- 16:11is. No things happen, right?
- 16:13Just because it's a, a a, a mild, wet summer this year
- 16:19doesn't mean it's going to be a mild, wet summer next year.
- 16:22You've lived long enough. I've lived long enough to know
- 16:24that we know what the history books tell us.
- 16:27OK. Gold and silver are more
- 16:33important than ever. You're more important than ever,
- 16:35too, by the way. And I mean that, right?
- 16:39The community is great here. You guys are awesome.
- 16:42Hey, Nancy. Hello.
- 16:43Magic Moon. I saw Neil's in here.
- 16:45Who else is Adora? Hey, don't forget tomorrow
- 16:49morning I have Coin Shop Chris on the live stream with me.
- 16:52I think we're going to do 10:00 Central time stories from the
- 16:57coin shop with our friend Coin Shop Chris.
- 16:59And he has his own channel now. OK, Don't forget, go check out
- 17:03Coin Shop Chris on his channel. He talks a lot about coins and
- 17:06Taco Bell and other things that are interesting about it's like
- 17:10my channel. Everything you know has to do
- 17:12somehow with silver and gold. Now, now, so we talk about we
- 17:17talk about how critical. Look, this could be life or
- 17:21death. Well, I don't want to be overly
- 17:24dramatic, but it could could be life or death minimum.
- 17:28All joking aside, very serious for our families, right, is, you
- 17:34know, the, the next 20 years are not going to be like the last 20
- 17:38years. There is absolutely, positively
- 17:42no doubt. Happy Saturday night.
- 17:44By the way, all you people who are alive keep stacking Ron's
- 17:47crypt. Hello Scott Williams, hello
- 17:49Magic Moon. We're going to do a shout out in
- 17:52a minute here. Don't do it yet, but I'm going
- 17:55to ask you guys 'cause I love to see where where you're joining
- 17:58me from. And I will say the names of the
- 18:00cities, but what's the proof that we have that they they
- 18:04screwed the pooch that can I say that?
- 18:07I don't know that's anyway that they screwed up, huh?
- 18:12That it's a big mess. I got I got proof.
- 18:14We're going to look at the the this is this is the guys. the
- 18:18Fed is stealing your money. That's a fact, right?
- 18:22When you have an organization whose stated goal is to steal 2%
- 18:27and we know that's all a bunch of BS.
- 18:29The Fed is stealing your money and they do it in a very, oh,
- 18:34we're looking out for your best interest.
- 18:36And we want to maximize employment.
- 18:38And yeah, we want to keep the slaves working, is what they're
- 18:42really saying, right? It's a debt based system, and
- 18:46debt is slavery. OK.
- 18:49And it sounds harsh and it is harsh, right?
- 18:53Talk to a guy who's working a full time job and then working
- 18:58another 20 hours a week and then working another side hustle just
- 19:03to try to put food on the table for his family.
- 19:05It is tough. It is harsh.
- 19:08This debt is slavery, period, right?
- 19:12And it's that's been said for thousands of years.
- 19:14Gold is the money of the of the royalty.
- 19:17Silver is the money of the gentleman, my fellow gentleman
- 19:21and gentle women, right? We got more and more women
- 19:25joining us and that's awesome. But that is the currency of
- 19:30slaves, right? If you, if you, you, if I
- 19:34borrow, let's say I, let's say I knock on your door in 1/2 hour.
- 19:40I bet you'd be freaked out, wouldn't you?
- 19:43And I say, hey, man, I really need to borrow $50,000 because
- 19:49something came up at the house and I need to make some repairs
- 19:52and, you know, if you want me to keep making those videos from
- 19:55the basement. Yeah, OK Anyway.
- 19:56But you loan me 50 grand. I say I'm good for it, you know,
- 20:00blah, blah, blah. And so you say, OK, Ron, I'll
- 20:02give you 50,000. You're going to pay me 10%
- 20:05interest per year till you pay it off.
- 20:07So I'm paying you. Wow.
- 20:08Thank you for that super chat world super chance pop up.
- 20:13That makes me smile. Thank you.
- 20:15You give me 50 grand, right? I'm your slave.
- 20:20It must. It's like.
- 20:22Student loans and everything else now in this country where
- 20:24we can just forget about it. But the reality is, right, I
- 20:28have to work right to make that money, right?
- 20:31And work, work, work, work, work, take on it to pay you back
- 20:34debt is is credit is, in my opinion, evil in in a form of
- 20:42slavery. Now, look, if you're borrowing
- 20:43money to start a business and you're going to make a greater
- 20:46return, Yeah, I get it. I get that whole thing, but I'll
- 20:49tell you what, and this makes me mad, right?
- 20:53The whole system in our country, they don't teach our kids about
- 20:57silver and gold. They don't teach them really
- 20:58anything about money, right? So most people don't know like
- 21:02we talked about earlier, grandma and grandpa, mom and dad, right?
- 21:06We learn from our parents, we learn who do we learn from?
- 21:09We learn from our parents and our grandparents, right?
- 21:12And they don't know most, I mean, most Americans, a lot of
- 21:16Americans are, are really financially illiterate, right?
- 21:21They, they may be a great plumber.
- 21:23They may be a great doctor. They may be.
- 21:25I'm not. I'm talking about people with
- 21:27every education. People don't understand money,
- 21:30period. And #2 they don't understand
- 21:33gold and silver, right. Until it's too late.
- 21:35What was, what were we talking about the other day?
- 21:39What was it? Oh, yeah, with the debate.
- 21:42Think about the debate the other night.
- 21:44I think it's a very good analogy.
- 21:46I think half of America was shocked by Joe Biden.
- 21:50They had no idea. Like, oh, my gosh, it was, you
- 21:54know, we didn't know it was that bad, right?
- 21:56Yeah. Because they've been living in a
- 21:59bubble of whatever their favorite version of mainstream
- 22:03media news is that doesn't report right.
- 22:07Just like they don't report about the national debt, just
- 22:09like they don't report about about, about how the, how the
- 22:12economy's really doing, right. So just like those people like
- 22:17being shocked when they saw this, this debate, when this, I
- 22:21mean, unfortunately the I'm I'm trying, this is not a political
- 22:25channel, but Joe Biden struggled, I guess you would
- 22:27say, yeah, I think that's common.
- 22:31And, and and there's shock and there's, and you're hearing even
- 22:35the New York Times is like, Oh my gosh, there's, there's a
- 22:38they're in panic mode in the Democratic Party.
- 22:40And it's like the same thing's going to happen when when people
- 22:45realize what's going on with the financial system, right?
- 22:48They're gonna be shocked. They're gonna be like, well,
- 22:50well, well, my my financial advisor told me just to put all
- 22:54my money in the stock market. And eventually it always goes
- 22:58up. And now, yeah, the same thing
- 23:01can happen. OK, now proof.
- 23:02Let's get proof. Let's get some proof.
- 23:05Proof, proof. Proof from history.
- 23:09This guy. OK, we're gonna you're gonna see
- 23:12this. I'm sorry from me many more
- 23:14times. This was Woodrow Wilson.
- 23:18He is the president who signed the legislation that created the
- 23:23Fed seat at the bottom, the Federal Reserve Act of 1913.
- 23:28So he was the president that helped create the Federal
- 23:30Reserve. And you can't see it 'cause I
- 23:32got my crazy banner thing there. But he says I am the most
- 23:35unhappy man. I've unwittingly ruined my
- 23:39country. This is a couple years after he
- 23:42signed the legislation to create the Federal Reserve.
- 23:46A great industrial nation is now controlled by its system of
- 23:50credit, right? That's that guys.
- 23:52That's slavery. We are no longer a government by
- 23:55free opinion, no longer a government by conviction and the
- 24:00vote of the majority, but a government by the opinion and
- 24:04duress of a small group of dominant men.
- 24:07Duress. I looked it up.
- 24:09I forget what it means. Like, like under the power of a
- 24:11group of that's the president that created the Federal Reserve
- 24:17expressing his remorse and his unhappiness for having done so.
- 24:24Now I think it's even more interesting.
- 24:27Hold on here. Can you see me?
- 24:30What's on the screen? Oh, hey, that's me at Six Flags
- 24:34with my. I love silver.
- 24:35Hold on, I didn't mean for you guys to be seeing this.
- 24:39This is Alan Greenspan, right? This is Alan Greenspan.
- 24:43What does Alan Greenspan say? Alan Greenspan, Remember, he was
- 24:46the head. He was the same thing as Gomer
- 24:49Pyle is now or Jerome Powell. I'm sorry, Alan, he said yet
- 24:52gold has. This is Alan Greenspan.
- 24:56OK, this is I think in the 1960s he said this, but still, this is
- 25:01before he got sucked into the Fiat.
- 25:04He was expressing his true understanding and beliefs when
- 25:08he said this, he says. Yet gold has special properties
- 25:12that no other currency with the possible exception of silver.
- 25:18Thank you Alan for throwing that ink and claim.
- 25:21For more than two millennia, gold has had virtually
- 25:24unquestioned acceptance as payment.
- 25:27It is never required the credit guarantee of a third party.
- 25:34He also said kind of cloudy. I apologize.
- 25:36In the absence of the gold standard.
- 25:39So in the absence of the gold standard, there is no way to
- 25:43prevent confiscation of savings through inflation.
- 25:48OK. And you know what the icing on
- 25:51the cake is guys, huh? Right.
- 25:54We also know that, you know, these guys are are warning us
- 25:58about what's going on. And who else is warning us?
- 26:02Take a step back, because I will give him a little credit for
- 26:05this. This guy right here.
- 26:07Let's get him out for a second. Just a second.
- 26:10This guy, yes, huh. Jerome.
- 26:16Jerome Powell. Jeremy Powell, Right.
- 26:19He's even sounding the alarms about government spending,
- 26:23government debt and how it's on. He says it over and over, right?
- 26:27Nobody listens right 'cause they're like, well, it hasn't
- 26:29been a problem yesterday. It won't be a problem.
- 26:31You know, whatever, right? It is a problem.
- 26:34It will be a problem The the masses will wake up OK, and it
- 26:39will be a shock to a lot of people.
- 26:42Hello, Nancy. Hey, guys, quickly.
- 26:45OK, 'cause I, I already ran over just to prove how diverse we
