• 7:48
Speaker 1: don't know. Question. Were there any other instances in which,
• 7:52
Speaker 1: when you say that would make sense? Is that because
• 7:55
Speaker 1: there were other instances in which mister Epstein introduced young
• 7:58
Speaker 1: women to mister Gates? Answer? No, it would make sense
• 8:02

Speaker 1: don't recall mister Fay asking to use the massage room.
• 17:05
Speaker 1: Question sure, But separate from the email, do you have
• 17:08
Speaker 1: any other memory of mister Fokai asking to do this generally?
• 17:12
Speaker 1: Answer no. Question. Is this something that any of the
• 17:14
Speaker 1: other men in mister Epstein's network would ask to do
• 17:17
Speaker 1: to use the massage room? Answer no. Question. Have you
• 17:21
Speaker 1: had any contact with Glenn Maxwell between mister Epstein's death
• 17:24
Speaker 1: and her arrest, Graff, no question. And since miss Maxwell's arrest,
• 17:29
Speaker 1: have you had any contact with her or any of
• 17:31
Speaker 1: her representatives? Graff, no question. Okay, miss Groff, you said
• 17:37
Speaker 1: something during your opening statement that I'd like to ask
• 17:39
Speaker 1: you about. You said that the massages that you scheduled
• 17:42
Speaker 1: were I think I got this down verbatim. I might
• 17:45
Speaker 1: be off by a word or two quote, just another
• 17:48
Speaker 1: small part of the elite world I was not from.
• 17:51
Speaker 1: We have asked you a lot of questions about massages.
• 17:54
Speaker 1: Our counterparts have asked you a lot of questions about massages.
• 17:58
Speaker 1: I want to be clear that your testimony is that
• 18:00
Speaker 1: no point in the eighteen years that you work for
• 18:02
Speaker 1: him that you thought that it was strange that he
• 18:05
Speaker 1: had girls and young women coming over to massage them. Correct,
• 18:09
Speaker 1: mister Whitcomb, objection forum girls. She never really well, continue, Backner.
• 18:14
Speaker 1: Do you mean girls miners or do you mean girls? Witcomb?
• 18:17
Speaker 1: That's what I meant. Question. Let's just say young women
• 18:20
Speaker 1: for now. Backner. Okay, Groff, No, I did not know
• 18:24
Speaker 1: mister Epstein had miners coming over to give him a massage. Question.
• 18:28
Speaker 1: Let's just say young women. Your testimony, Is that at
• 18:31
Speaker 1: no point in the eighteen years that you work for
• 18:33
Speaker 1: him that you thought it was strange that he had
• 18:35
Speaker 1: all these young women come in massage. Answer, well, that
• 18:40
Speaker 1: was only from the beginning two thousand and one to
• 18:42
Speaker 1: when he went to jail. I didn't know the rages
• 18:44
Speaker 1: at all. It was a normal part of his day.
• 18:46
Speaker 1: To me, it was like a luxury. I couldn't believe
• 18:49
Speaker 1: that somebody would pay for you know, do that you
• 18:51
Speaker 1: know every day? That was a luxury you did once
• 18:53
Speaker 1: a year. Question do you think that these women were
• 18:57
Speaker 1: professional messuses? You've used that term a lot. You used
• 19:01
Speaker 1: it in your opening statement, you used it throughout your testimony.
• 19:04
Speaker 1: Did you think that these were professional messuses? Answer? I
• 19:08
Speaker 1: believe that was what they wanted to do. That was
• 19:12
Speaker 1: part of something that they did. I don't know if
• 19:14
Speaker 1: that was their career, but question it was what they
• 19:18
Speaker 1: wanted to do or it's what they did. Answer. I
• 19:21
Speaker 1: had sometimes people call me and ask if mister Epstein
• 19:24
Speaker 1: was in town could have a massage. Question So you
• 19:27
Speaker 1: believe that these young women were professional messuses? Answer? I
• 19:31
Speaker 1: never met these women, so I didn't know if they
• 19:33
Speaker 1: were young or how old they were. First of all,
• 19:36
Speaker 1: I thought that it was just something that he did,
• 19:38
Speaker 1: like going to the gym. Questions, So you didn't have
• 19:41
Speaker 1: a belief either way that they were professional messuses or
• 19:45
Speaker 1: were not professional messuses. Answer well, when you say professional
• 19:49
Speaker 1: like working for a company. Question working for a company
• 19:52
Speaker 1: or having gone through the requisite training and having whatever
• 19:55
Speaker 1: license and certification is needed to be a massage therapist
• 19:58
Speaker 1: in the state of New York. Answer right, I didn't
• 20:01
Speaker 1: ask questions. The name and phone number was given to me.
• 20:04
Speaker 1: I assume that they were a messuse. Question You were
• 20:08
Speaker 1: unaware that mister Epstein was exceptionally wealthy? Correct or you
• 20:11
Speaker 1: were aware? Excuse me? Answer yes, question, so he could
• 20:15
Speaker 1: have afforded the best messuse in New York correct answer, sure, question,
• 20:19
Speaker 1: but instead he had dozens, at least from your perspective,
• 20:23
Speaker 1: of young women, oftentimes different young women massaging them, and
• 20:27
Speaker 1: that didn't seem abnormal to you. Backner, Just point of clarification.
• 20:31
Speaker 1: She said she didn't know how old they were. But
• 20:34
Speaker 1: other than that, go ahead, graff. Yeah, it did not
• 20:37
Speaker 1: seem odd to me. When I was hired, it was
• 20:40
Speaker 1: I was told this was just something that he does,
• 20:42
Speaker 1: and everybody treated it like it was no big deal,
• 20:45
Speaker 1: and I was just told that to keep his calendar
• 20:47
Speaker 1: and schedule his appointments. So question, So to mister Backner's
• 20:51
Speaker 1: clarification that you did not know how old they were,
• 20:54
Speaker 1: you did call these young women. Correct answer, I would
• 20:57
Speaker 1: call and make appointments. Yes. Question Ms Groff, do you
• 21:01
Speaker 1: think that a fourteen year old sounds the same as
• 21:03
Speaker 1: a person in their twenties or thirties or forties. Answer
• 21:06
  Speaker 1: It's possible. I don't know. I was not evaluating voices.
• 21:09
Speaker 1: Nobody ever sounded like they were underage. Question Okay, we
• 21:13
Speaker 1: have a couple more questions about mister Epstein's relationship with
• 21:16
Speaker 1: Elon Musk. Were you aware of Epstein having a relationship
• 21:20
Speaker 1: with Elon Musk? Answer? I am aware. No, I mean,
• 21:23
Speaker 1: I'm aware that he went and saw SpaceX. At the time,
• 21:27
  Speaker 1: I didn't even know what SpaceX was, so I don't
• 21:29
Speaker 1: I don't know about a relationship with Elon Musk. Question So,
• 21:33
Speaker 1: you were aware at the time of mister Epstein's visit
• 21:36
Speaker 1: to SpaceX, but not of any relationship between the two
• 21:39
Speaker 1: of them beyond that answer? Correct question Okay, were you
• 21:43
Speaker 1: aware of mister Musk ever requesting to visit any of
• 21:46
Speaker 1: mister Epstein's properties. Answer no. Question okay, and so also,
• 21:50
Speaker 1: were you aware of mister Musk ever actually visiting any
• 21:53
Speaker 1: of mister Epstein's properties? Answer no. Question was it just
• 21:57
Speaker 1: one visit to SpaceX? Answer yes? Question when did that
• 22:01
Speaker 1: take place? Answer? I don't know twenty fourteen? Question okay,
• 22:05
Speaker 1: And do you remember or are thereabouts twenty fourteen? Backner?
• 22:10
  Speaker 1: Don't guess groth, okay, don't guess. I don't backner. Does
• 22:14
  Speaker 1: anybody help groth? I don't know. I really don't know.
• 22:17
Speaker 1: Question are you or do you remember whether anybody accompanied
• 22:21
Speaker 1: mister Epstein on his visit to SpaceX? Answer? I believe
• 22:25
Speaker 1: some of his traveling assistants went with them. They always
• 22:28
Speaker 1: went with them. Question okay, answer, but I don't know who.
• 22:32
Speaker 1: Question do you know which of the traveling assistants? Answer right?
• 22:36
Speaker 1: Question okay, thank you. Question. I'd like to take a
• 22:40
Speaker 1: few minutes to ask you some kind of summarizing questions
• 22:43
Speaker 1: to make sure that the record is clear about your
• 22:45
Speaker 1: testimony today. During the time that you work for mister Epstein,
• 22:49
Speaker 1: were you ever aware of mister Epstein's sexually abusing minor
• 22:51
Speaker 1: girls or young women? Answer no, question. During the time
• 22:55
Speaker 1: that you work for mister Epstein, were you aware of
• 22:58
Speaker 1: mister Epstein introducing minor roles or young women to other
• 23:01
Speaker 1: men for the purpose of engaging in sexual activity with
• 23:04
Speaker 1: those men? Answer no question. During the time that you
• 23:08
Speaker 1: worked for mister Epstein, were you ever aware of mister
• 23:10
Speaker 1: Epstein transporting minor girls or young women for the purpose
• 23:14
Speaker 1: of engaging in sexual activity with them? Answer no question.
• 23:20
Speaker 1: During the time that you worked for mister Epstein, were
• 23:22
Speaker 1: you ever aware of mister Epstein transporting minor girls or
• 23:25
Speaker 1: young women for the purpose of engaging in sexual activity
• 23:28
Speaker 1: with them? Answer no question. You worked for mister Epstein
• 23:36
Speaker 1: for twenty years, some very long hours correct answer It
• 23:41
Speaker 1: could have been. If it was long hours, it was
• 23:45
Speaker 1: working from home and being flexible, So I really appreciated
• 23:48
Speaker 1: that flexibility. Question What hours did you work? Growth what
• 23:51
Speaker 1: hours did I work? It started at nine to five? Question?
• 23:55
Speaker 1: I understand that we talked about that earlier. Answer yeah.
• 23:59
Speaker 1: Question My point is, or my question rather, is it
• 24:01
Speaker 1: fair to say that during those twenty years you put
• 24:04
Speaker 1: a significant amount of time working for that man nine
• 24:06
Speaker 1: to five? But also I believe you said once he
• 24:09
Speaker 1: had a smartphone, it was nearly twenty four to seven.
• 24:12
Speaker 1: Answer Yes, he would contact me. Question okay, answer he
• 24:15
Speaker 1: had no boundaries. Question thank you, And you worked with
• 24:19
Speaker 1: him at his office at four fifty seven Medisine and
• 24:22
Speaker 1: then you work with him at his home at ninety
• 24:24
Speaker 1: seventy first Street. Correct answer, yes, question so it's fair
• 24:28
Speaker 1: to say that you had the kind of exposure to
• 24:30
Speaker 1: a knowledge of mister Epstein in his operation that almost
• 24:33
Speaker 1: no one else had. Correct answer. I really don't agree
• 24:37
Speaker 1: with that. I was making appointments for him. He didn't
• 24:39
Speaker 1: talk to me, We didn't have discussions. I didn't sit
• 24:42
Speaker 1: in meetings with them. Question. But it's your job not
• 24:45
Speaker 1: to just know his likes and preferences, but to anticipate them.
• 24:49
Speaker 1: You don't think that there's his trust and intimacy in
• 24:51
Speaker 1: that answer. There was no intimacy. He would always give
• 24:55
Speaker 1: me the directions of what he wanted to happen, make
• 24:57
Speaker 1: these appointments. He really did keep me on the outside,
• 25:01
Speaker 1: and he did that on purpose. I think he specifically
• 25:04
Speaker 1: wanted to keep me at arm's length, if not more. Question,
• 25:07
Speaker 1: but he trusted you with information that he did not
• 25:09
Speaker 1: trust other people with correct answer, I suppose question, and
• 25:14
Speaker 1: that was part of your value to him. That's why
• 25:16
Speaker 1: he bought you a Mercedes Benz and paid for a
• 25:18
Speaker 1: full time nanny so you wouldn't stop working for him.
• 25:21
Speaker 1: Right answer, He appreciated, he valued my organizational skills, and
• 25:27
Speaker 1: that was and that I was responsible. Backner. Sorry, just
• 25:31
Speaker 1: one more point of clarification. He didn't buy a Mercedes.
• 25:34
Speaker 1: He bought a Mercedes and she used it and then
• 25:37
Speaker 1: she had to give it back. Question sure, thank you,
• 25:40
Speaker 1: mister Backner. Question is there anyone else in his orbit
• 25:44
Speaker 1: that had the kind of knowledge of his schedule, his
• 25:46
Speaker 1: day to day, his likes, his preferences, who he met with,
• 25:50
Speaker 1: who he didn't, who he talked to, who he didn't
• 25:52
Speaker 1: more than you? Answer? I would say that all the
• 25:55
Speaker 1: traveling assistants knew a bunch of his schedule and what
• 25:58
Speaker 1: was going on. Question better than you answer. I feel
• 26:01
Speaker 1: like they knew him better than me. Question. So your
• 26:05
Speaker 1: testimony today is that you did not know that mister
• 26:08
Speaker 1: Epstein was abusing, assaulting, raping, and trafficking minor girls and
• 26:12
Speaker 1: young women for decades. Correct, Witcomb, I mean I asked
• 26:15
Speaker 1: an answered for the fiftieth time. Question the rules of
• 26:18
Speaker 1: evidence do not apply, Witcomb understood question. Thank you. Please
• 26:23
Speaker 1: answer the question, Witcomb. But the rules of fairness should
• 26:26
Speaker 1: and she's here voluntarily she asked and answer this question
• 26:29
Speaker 1: fifty times. I know I don't have any leeway to
• 26:33
Speaker 1: direct her or not to answer question. Then she can
• 26:35
Speaker 1: answer it one more time, Witcomb. She can answer a
• 26:38
Speaker 1: fifty first time. Right Groff, I didn't know question. Thank you,
• 26:41
Speaker 1: Ms Groff. That's all we have. We'll go off the record.
• 26:45
Speaker 1: All right, folks, We're gonna wrap up right here, and
• 26:47
Speaker 1: then the next episode dealing with the topic, we're gonna
• 26:49
Speaker 1: pick up where we left off. All the information that
• 26:52
Speaker 1: goes with this episode can be found in the description box.
• 26:56
Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
• 26:59
Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicle. In this episode, we're getting right back to
• 27:02
Speaker 1: the Leslie Groff transcript from her meeting with Congress. Questions
• 27:06
Speaker 1: by Miss Tolan. Question, Miss Groff, thank you for your
• 27:10
Speaker 1: patience here today. We know it's been long. We just
• 27:13
Speaker 1: have a few more questions for you. So to start,
• 27:17
Speaker 1: do you know of any other individuals that knowingly facilitated
• 27:20
Speaker 1: mister Epstein and his crimes? Answer? Knowingly facilitated no question
• 27:26
Speaker 1: or help them in any way? Answer no question. Did
• 27:29
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein ever inform or represent to you that he
• 27:32
Speaker 1: was working with an intelligent service of any nation, including
• 27:36
Speaker 1: the United States? Answer no question. Did Glenn Maxwell ever
• 27:40
Speaker 1: inform or represent to you that she was working with
• 27:43
Speaker 1: any intelligence service all of any nation? Answer no question.
• 27:47
Speaker 1: Did you ever suspect mister Epstein or miss Maxwell of
• 27:50
Speaker 1: being affiliated with any intelligence agency? Answer no question. We've
• 27:55
Speaker 1: discussed the investigation into Jeffrey Epstein, the first investigation in
• 27:59
Speaker 1: two thousand and five and his following arrest multiple times
• 28:03
Speaker 1: during today's interview, Just so the record's clear. When did
• 28:06
Speaker 1: you first become aware of the investigation into mister Epstein? Answer?
• 28:10
Speaker 1: I believe it was in August of two thousand and
• 28:12
Speaker 1: seven when they came to my door the FBI. He
• 28:15
Speaker 1: came to my door. Question and that was after he
• 28:18
Speaker 1: was arrested. Answer When was he arrested? Question? I forgot
• 28:22
Speaker 1: the exact date. He was arrested in July of two
• 28:25
Speaker 1: thousand and six for the first time. Answer, Oh, okay,
• 28:29
Speaker 1: I'm not sure. I believe it was when they came
• 28:32
Speaker 1: to my door. That's when I figured it out. Question
• 28:35
Speaker 1: and did mister Epstein ever discuss this investigation with you.
• 28:39
Speaker 1: Answer he did after I was served the subpoena. Yeah.
• 28:43
Speaker 1: Question and what did he say to you? Answer he
• 28:45
Speaker 1: said that he was being blackmailed and that there was
• 28:48
Speaker 1: a short discussion. Question and did you have any kind
• 28:51
Speaker 1: of knowledge of any illegal activity by mister Epstein prior
• 28:54
Speaker 1: to his arrest in two thousand and six? Answer no question.
• 28:59
Speaker 1: On October over twentieth, two thousand and five, police executed
• 29:02
Speaker 1: a search warrant for mister Epstein's pom Beach, Florida home.
• 29:05
Speaker 1: Do you recall this happening? Answer no question. Did you
• 29:09
Speaker 1: ever learn about this happening? Answer? I did learn after
• 29:12
Speaker 1: the fact, Yes, that it had happened. Question so while
• 29:16
Speaker 1: you were still working for him? Answer yes. Question so
• 29:20
Speaker 1: you were not president at the Palm Beach residence when
• 29:22
Speaker 1: that occurred. Answer no question. What did you hear about
• 29:26
Speaker 1: the raid when you learned about it? Answer that they
• 29:29
Speaker 1: had come in and rated his home and took I
• 29:31
Speaker 1: don't know exactly, maybe computers. They searched his trash cans,
• 29:35
Speaker 1: that sort of thing. Question And there was reporting that
• 29:38
Speaker 1: many believe Epstein was tipped off about the raid, since
• 29:42
Speaker 1: multiple computers that were expected to be at the house
• 29:44
Speaker 1: were missing when the search warrant was executed, to your knowledge,
• 29:48
Speaker 1: did anyone tip Jeffrey Epstein off to the October twentieth
• 29:52
Speaker 1: search warrant in Palm Beach Answer not that I know of.
• 29:55
Speaker 1: Question And are you aware of any items being removed
• 29:58
Speaker 1: from his pom Beach residence prior to the FBI raid?
• 30:01
Speaker 1: Answer no question. Did you receive specific instructions to destroy
• 30:06
Speaker 1: any information from any residences at this time? Answer no question.
• 30:11
Speaker 1: Did you receive specific instruction that have any items removed

Speaker 1: Did you ever instruct someone to remove items from any

Speaker 1: you are not instructed to remove any items from his
• 30:30
Speaker 1: town home. Answer that's correct. No question. Were any other
• 30:34
Speaker 1: items or records ever intentionally destroyed or withheld from police
• 30:38
Speaker 1: as part of the investigation? Answer not that I know of.
• 30:41
Speaker 1: Question Miss Groff, do you know what the Florida Science
• 30:44
Speaker 1: Foundation is? Answer I did not know until after we
• 30:48
Speaker 1: were preparing for this testimony. Question, so you didn't know
• 30:51
Speaker 1: at the time answer correct question. And you didn't know
• 30:55
Speaker 1: about him working at the Florida Science Foundation as part
• 30:58
Speaker 1: of his work release. Answer. I knew he was working
• 31:01
Speaker 1: there and it was part of the Florida Science Foundation. Right.
• 31:05
Speaker 1: Question did you ever visit the office of the Florida
• 31:08
Speaker 1: Science Foundation while mister Epstein was working there in work release?
• 31:13
Speaker 1: Answer yes twice. Question what was the reason for those visits? Answer?
• 31:18
Speaker 1: Just to coordinate a list of scientists and their names
• 31:20
Speaker 1: and phone numbers. We made appointments with Gloria and I'm
• 31:24
Speaker 1: forgetting his name. Backner, You testified to it earlier, Graff, Yes,
• 31:29
Speaker 1: Backner Minsky, Graff Minsky, Marvin Minsky. Yes, he came and
• 31:33
Speaker 1: stayed the whole entire day with mister Epstein, him and
• 31:36
Speaker 1: his wife. He and his wife, and it was just
• 31:38
Speaker 1: connected him to some scientists, and he had lots of
• 31:41
Speaker 1: attorneys coming in and out. Question and do you recall
• 31:45
Speaker 1: where the office was located? Answer hang on, It was
• 31:48
Speaker 1: in the same building as his attorney, Jack Goldberger Australian Avenue,
• 31:52
Speaker 1: something like that. Question and you testified to this, but
• 31:56
Speaker 1: mister Epstein was allowed to have visitors while he was
• 31:58
Speaker 1: on work release. Answer yes. Question did anyone else visit
• 32:02
Speaker 1: him to your knowledge? Answer? I said dere Torres earlier
• 32:06

Speaker 1: guard Jim instructor Igor I don't remember the last name.
• 32:16
Speaker 1: It starts with the Z. Sarah Kellen and Story Calves.
• 32:19
Speaker 1: Who was the paralegal? Question while he was on work release?
• 32:23
Speaker 1: Did mister Epstein ever engage in any sexual conduct with
• 32:27
Speaker 1: any woman? Answer? No, I mean, now I understand after
• 32:30
Speaker 1: the fact there's been allegations. Question but you had no
• 32:34
Speaker 1: direct knowledge of this? Answer no. Question, Miss Groff, who's
• 32:37
Speaker 1: Matthew Minchell? Do you know who that is? Answer? I've
• 32:40
Speaker 1: come to find out preparing for this that he was
• 32:42
Speaker 1: an attorney. Did you understand him to have a relationship
• 32:46
Speaker 1: with mister Epstein when you work for mister Epstein? Answer
• 32:50
  Speaker 1: I don't even remember him. He's just a name that
• 32:53
Speaker 1: now I recognize because of listening to other people's testimony.
• 32:57
Speaker 1: Question do you recall ever scheduling meetings dinner? Is there
• 33:00
Speaker 1: any kind of appointment between Menchell and Epstein? Answer? I
• 33:03
Speaker 1: don't recall. Question And do you know if mister Epstein
• 33:06
Speaker 1: ever later hired mister Minchell to work for him? Answer?
• 33:09
Speaker 1: I don't know. Question And then I'm going to ask
• 33:12
Speaker 1: you about the New York residence specifically. Were you aware
• 33:15
Speaker 1: of security cameras on or at the residence? Answer at
• 33:19
Speaker 1: seventy first Street. Question yes, answer there were. There was
• 33:23
Speaker 1: a room with monitors, and there were security cameras that
• 33:25
Speaker 1: looked out onto seventy first Street. Question did you have
• 33:29
Speaker 1: access to that room? Answer? I could go in there,
• 33:32
Speaker 1: but I didn't go in there very often. Question was
• 33:35
Speaker 1: there a reason you would not go in there? Or
• 33:37
Speaker 1: can you describe the instances? Answer just to say a
• 33:40
Speaker 1: load of rich who was in that office. Maybe a
• 33:43
Speaker 1: UPS package would be in there, something like that. Questions
• 33:47
Speaker 1: so not to review security footage? Answer? Oh, no. Question
• 33:51
Speaker 1: And did all of his residences have similar security camera rooms? Answer?
• 33:55
Speaker 1: I don't know. Mister Emmer jumps in, and to be clear,
• 33:59
Speaker 1: you said this secrecurity cameras were outside the residence Graff, Yes, Emmer,
• 34:04
Speaker 1: You're not aware of any security cameras inside the residence.
• 34:07
Speaker 1: Graff No, Emmer. Okay, Tolan doing the questioning again. Question
• 34:12
Speaker 1: do you know if security footage was stored anywhere? Answer?
• 34:15
Speaker 1: I don't know. Question do you know if any footage
• 34:18
Speaker 1: was ever turned over to the police or the FBI.
• 34:21
Speaker 1: Answer I don't know. Question do you know what happens
• 34:24
Speaker 1: to any of the footage after mister Epstein's death? Answer
• 34:26
Speaker 1: no question. When did you learn of mister Epstein's death?
• 34:30
Speaker 1: Answer I think the morning had happened. Question who told you?
• 34:33
Speaker 1: Answer my counsel. Question what did you do next? Or
• 34:37
Speaker 1: who did you speak with? Answer my husband? He was
• 34:39
Speaker 1: right with me. Question In all the years you've known
• 34:42
Speaker 1: and work for mister Epstein, did he ever demonstrate suicidal tendencies?
• 34:46
Speaker 1: Answer no question. Have you ever heard mister Epstein say
• 34:50
Speaker 1: that he wanted to commit suicide? Answer no question. Do
• 34:54
Speaker 1: you believe that mister Epstein committed suicide? Answer? I don't know.
• 34:58
Speaker 1: Question and I believe we touched on this a little
• 35:00
Speaker 1: bit earlier. But when you did first learn about the
• 35:03
Speaker 1: two thousand and eight non prosecution agreement? When was that? Answer?
• 35:07
Speaker 1: I believe it was when he went to jail. Question
• 35:11
Speaker 1: and what were you told about the agreement? If anything?
• 35:14
Speaker 1: Answer just that I was. I was in it and
• 35:17
Speaker 1: I didn't really understand it. Brignac asking questions now, and
• 35:22
Speaker 1: who told you you were in it? Groff? Mister Endyke
• 35:26
Speaker 1: back to Tolan, who's now asking the questions again. Question,
• 35:30
Speaker 1: and why did you think you were named in the agreement? Answer?
• 35:33
Speaker 1: I didn't understand it at all. I felt very far
• 35:36
Speaker 1: away from Palm Beach. I felt like I had nothing
• 35:38
Speaker 1: to do with it. I was surprised. Question and then
• 35:41
Speaker 1: I know we've talked at length about massages, mister Epstein,
• 35:45
Speaker 1: receiving massages and the role that you had in scheduling those.
• 35:49
Speaker 1: I just had a few more clarification questions for the record.
• 35:52
Speaker 1: Just to be clear, did you ever pay money to
• 35:55
Speaker 1: any person in exchange for a massage for mister Epstein? Answer?
• 35:59
Speaker 1: The only thing. I never handed any money to anyone.
• 36:02
Speaker 1: The only thing I would have done is if mister
• 36:05
Speaker 1: Epstein directed me to have redacted put money in an
• 36:07
Speaker 1: envelope for someone, and then that envelope would be picked
• 36:10
Speaker 1: up by a messenger or Jojo as driver and taken
• 36:12
Speaker 1: to that person. Question, So, just to be clear, did
• 36:16
Speaker 1: you ever give money to a fifteen year old girl
• 36:18
Speaker 1: for the purpose of massaging mister Epstein? Answer? No question,
• 36:22
Speaker 1: And we touched on this earlier, But just to clarify,
• 36:25
Speaker 1: did you ever provide any gifts to any of the messuses? Answer?
• 36:29
Speaker 1: No question. Did you ever provide Broadway tickets to any messuses?
• 36:34
Speaker 1: Answer no question. The committee is also aware of allegations
• 36:38
Speaker 1: of Jeffrey Epstein engaging in blackmail of sorts. Did mister
• 36:42
Speaker 1: Epstein ever ask you to look up information to use
• 36:45
Speaker 1: against any young women or girls? Answer no question, and
• 36:48
Speaker 1: then again just to reiterate so the record's clear. While
• 36:52
Speaker 1: scheduling a massage for mister Ebstein, did you ever ask
• 36:55
Speaker 1: any of the messuses for the rage? Answer no question.
• 36:58
Speaker 1: Did you ever ask anything about their appearance? Answer no.
• 37:02
Speaker 1: Mister emer asked a question, now, did you ever ask
• 37:05
Speaker 1: a review school ideas of anyone? Miss Groff no Brignac.
• 37:09
Speaker 1: Did you ever review school ideas? Groff No. Mister Tolan
• 37:13
Speaker 1: or miss Tolan excuse me? And are you aware of
• 37:15
Speaker 1: messuses or girls being paid money if they recruited a
• 37:18
Speaker 1: friend to get mister Epstein a massage? Graff no Brignac. Question.
• 37:23
Speaker 1: Have you ever made an appointment for another woman to
• 37:25
Speaker 1: receive an abortion? Answer no question. Have you ever transferred
• 37:30
Speaker 1: money to anyone for purposes of receiving an abortion? Answer
• 37:34
Speaker 1: no question. Does the name doctor Caplan ring a bell?
• 37:38
Speaker 1: Answered doctor Caplin? Not off hand? Question? Did you ever
• 37:41
Speaker 1: agree to render payment for services to doctor Caplan. Answer,
• 37:45
Speaker 1: I don't recall who doctor Caplin is. It was not
• 37:48
Speaker 1: my place to give money to doctors I don't know.
• 37:51
Speaker 1: Question in your work for securing medical appointments for girls,
• 37:54
Speaker 1: such as the example we've provided you with today, did
• 37:57
Speaker 1: you ever receive information about the purpose of the APO?
• 38:00
Speaker 1: Answer no. Question are you familiar with doctor Magnanni? Answer no,
• 38:06
Speaker 1: mister Bockner one second Graf Oh Magnanni question yes, answer ah,
• 38:10
Speaker 1: doctor Magnanni in Pombach she was a dentist. Question yes,
• 38:14
Speaker 1: Did you ever render payment to doctor Magnanni for services
• 38:17
Speaker 1: to young women or girls? Answer no, not that I recall.
• 38:21
Speaker 1: They were friends and maybe he did see them as
• 38:24
Speaker 1: a dentist as well. Question did you understand that he
• 38:27
Speaker 1: was providing dental services to anyone associated with Jeffrey Epstein?
• 38:31
Speaker 1: Answer no, Backner, She'd liked to modify that. Answer too,
• 38:36
  Speaker 1: I don't recall Brinac, please do Graff. Yeah, I don't
• 38:39
Speaker 1: recall setting up an appointment. Now Emma asking questions. I
• 38:43
Speaker 1: know that we've talked at length about the travels and
• 38:45
Speaker 1: whether you traveled in furtherance of your employment. Did you
• 38:48
Speaker 1: mention that you had flown with mister Epstein, were on
• 38:51
Speaker 1: the helicopter. Answer I did once. Question can you elaborate
• 38:54
Speaker 1: where that helicopter went? Answer? Sure, it left Saint Thomas
• 38:58
Speaker 1: and took me over to his island. Question did you
• 39:01
Speaker 1: ever travel to Cuba? Answer no, Brignac, mis Gross, you
• 39:05
Speaker 1: said in your opening statement that you want to be helpful.
• 39:08
Speaker 1: Is there any information you have that could be helpful
• 39:11
Speaker 1: to this committee? Mis Groff, I feel like I've talked
• 39:14
Speaker 1: about a lot of things. I hope that I've been helpful.
• 39:16
Speaker 1: I think you guys have covered about everything, Brignac, and
• 39:20
Speaker 1: thank you for your assistance today. It's been a very
• 39:22
Speaker 1: long day and I appreciate your cooperation with all these questions. However,
• 39:27
Speaker 1: you've also said you don't know a lot today, and
• 39:30
Speaker 1: I hope you can appreciate some of the confusion and
• 39:32
Speaker 1: admittedly frustration with the fact that you don't know certain circumstances.
• 39:36
Speaker 1: When you work for mister Ebstein for eighteen years and
• 39:39
Speaker 1: have been quoted as being an extension of his brain.
• 39:43
Speaker 1: Is there anything you can offer there to help clarify
• 39:45
Speaker 1: that confusion? Groff? All I can say is that, truly,
• 39:48
Speaker 1: and even more now, I recognize how he kept me
• 39:51
Speaker 1: away from him. We were not social, we didn't have discussions,
• 39:55
Speaker 1: and it was all part of his scheme and his manipulation.
• 39:58
Speaker 1: It was one hundred percent on purpose. Yeah, Backner, I'm
• 40:02
Speaker 1: not the witness, but because the newspaper article was used,
• 40:05
Speaker 1: you know, he also indicated that she got paid two
• 40:08
Speaker 1: hundred thousand a year in two thousand and four, and
• 40:10
Speaker 1: that's false. So you know how he may have characterized
• 40:14
Speaker 1: her as being an extension of his brain, maybe equally
• 40:18
Speaker 1: as true as how much money he was paying her.
• 40:20
Speaker 1: This is what he said. It doesn't mean it's all true,
• 40:23
Speaker 1: and I'm sure you're aware of that. Brignac. Do you
• 40:25
Speaker 1: believe that there was anyone that's testified before the committee
• 40:28
Speaker 1: that has been untruthful? Groff? I do not know, Brignac.
• 40:32
Speaker 1: Is there anything that we've not asked you about today
• 40:34
Speaker 1: that you would like to offer into the record, Graf,
• 40:37
Speaker 1: I don't believe so, no, Bockner. One of the questions
• 40:40
Speaker 1: that was asked by the gentleman sitting next to Miss Talib,
• 40:43
Speaker 1: I apologize, I don't know his name for the minority.
• 40:46
Speaker 1: I don't know if you want to clarify it, But
• 40:48
Speaker 1: miss Groff, was asked repeatedly by him how she cannot
• 40:52
Speaker 1: believe that someone who was quote in school and was
• 40:55
Speaker 1: an orchestra was not a minor. I think she would
• 40:57
Speaker 1: just like to elaborate Whitcomb. Sorry, miners have orchestra practice
• 41:01
Speaker 1: at ten pm. Groff, Yeah, to me, no high school
• 41:05
Speaker 1: students going to orchestra practice at ten pm. And this
• 41:08
Speaker 1: person was working all day. It was definitely someone who
• 41:11
Speaker 1: was of age. And miners are just not going to
• 41:14
Speaker 1: staying up late. You know. I raised my son. We're
• 41:16
Speaker 1: never going to let him do those things. This person
• 41:19
Speaker 1: clearly had to be someone of age and it's New York.
• 41:22
Speaker 1: To me, I can't imagine that someone's going to school
• 41:25
Speaker 1: who's a miner that late in the evening. Ms. Toland,
• 41:28
Speaker 1: thank you. That's all the questions we have for you today.
• 41:31
Speaker 1: We'll conclude and go off the record, all right, folks.
• 41:34
Speaker 1: That wraps up the Leslie Groff transcript from her meeting
• 41:37
Speaker 1: with Congress. All the information that goes with this episode
• 41:41
Speaker 1: can be found in the description box.
