- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey, it's time for Stacks and Hacks. I have stacks
- 0:02Speaker 1: of information. Rich has life hacks. This is random information
- 0:05Speaker 1: that can help you throughout the day. It's just good
- 0:07Speaker 1: knowledge to have. A study found being in shape can
- 0:12Speaker 1: make you a calmer person. Physically fit people are around
- 0:17Speaker 1: eight times less likely to get angry or lose their
- 0:20Speaker 1: cool and stressful situations.
- 0:22Speaker 2: That makes sense. You're probably too tired. Tell that to
- 0:24Speaker 2: my sister. She's very in shape.
- 0:28Speaker 3: Well, hi, Strum.
- 0:30Speaker 2: I love you, but Strum.
- 0:32Speaker 1: They say there's just more evidence that exercise is good
- 0:34Speaker 1: for your physical and mental health, except unless you're Kyle's sister.
- 0:39Speaker 3: Does anybody here know what a darty is? A darty?
- 0:41Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 0:41Speaker 3: What?
- 0:42Speaker 2: A daytime party.
- 0:42Speaker 1: Daytime party, which isn't that unusual. They usually involve booze, music,
- 0:48Speaker 1: and hanging out. But this is the latest trend on
- 0:52Speaker 1: college campuses is a wellness darty.
- 0:56Speaker 2: It's different.
- 0:57Speaker 4: Are they all getting like IVs and stuff?
- 1:00Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:00Speaker 2: For their pregame.
- 1:01Speaker 1: There's Pilates or yoga, a run, an ice bath, and
- 1:04Speaker 1: a coffee or matcha afterwards.
- 1:06Speaker 3: These aren't small liberal arts colleges.
- 1:07Speaker 1: They're picking up popular schools like the University of Miami,
- 1:10Speaker 1: University of Arizona. the University of Florida, Florida State University,
- 1:13Speaker 1: Arizona State University, Syracuse University, and University of Alabama. So
- 1:16Speaker 1: you can walk down Fraternity Row and you see kids
- 1:19Speaker 1: out on the lawn with yoga mats, holding protein shakes
- 1:21Speaker 1: and smoothies, talking about their run clubs and hyping up
- 1:23Speaker 1: the weekend plans to hit REI before they're heading out backpacking.
- 1:26Speaker 5: Right on.
- 1:26Speaker 2: That sounds great.
- 1:27Speaker 3: I love it.
- 1:27Speaker 4: I feel like I've definitely seen the trend where it's
- 1:30Speaker 4: like having a birthday party, but you're having it at
- 1:32Speaker 4: a Pilates studio, which like more power to you.
- 1:35Speaker 2: But like me, never. And I probably won't go to
- 1:37Speaker 2: your birthday party if that's what you're doing. Don't say never.
- 1:39Speaker 2: You would love to see what that would be like.
- 1:40Speaker 4: My friend said, I'm having a Pilates birthday party.
- 1:43Speaker 2: Please come.
- 1:44Speaker 4: I would do everything in my power to try to
- 1:46Speaker 4: convince her to not go.
- 1:49Speaker 1: I had a birthday party for me at a yoga studio.
- 1:53Speaker 3: High yoga. Yeah. I was there.
- 1:55Speaker 2: I don't know. Everybody liked it.
- 1:56Speaker 4: I like, I feel like you just, you suffer during
- 1:59Speaker 4: those workouts.
- 1:59Speaker 3: I liked it. I just didn't want everybody there.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Right.
- 2:02Speaker 3: I wanted to go to yoga by myself.
- 2:03Speaker 2: What are you guys doing here? I'm trying to get
- 2:05Speaker 2: my yoga on.
- 2:06Speaker 1: Police officers met an American Airlines flight upon its arrival
- 2:09Speaker 1: in Miami and After reports of a female passenger undressing
- 2:13Speaker 1: and behaving indecently mid-flight. Okay.
- 2:16Speaker 3: What is that about?
- 2:17Speaker 2: I don't know. I saw that and I was wondering
- 2:18Speaker 2: what was happening, too.
- 2:19Speaker 3: Oh, you saw that?
- 2:20Speaker 2: I saw the article. I didn't see any video.
- 2:22Speaker 4: I don't understand why people mess around with the airport.
- 2:24Speaker 4: Or the plane. That would be awful, awful to be
- 2:27Speaker 4: on that do not fly list.
- 2:29Speaker 1: I know.
- 2:29Speaker 5: Yeah, your job on the plane is to be as
- 2:31Speaker 5: quiet in as least amount of trouble as you possibly can.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Right.
- 2:35Speaker 1: Americans are now improving our lives by renaming things on maps.
- 2:38Speaker 2: Yes. Like on the app map?
- 2:43Speaker 3: No, what was it? What did he turn into?
- 2:45Speaker 2: Oh, okay.
- 2:47Speaker 3: Lake America.
- 2:48Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 2:48Speaker 3: The ocean?
- 2:49Speaker 2: The Gulf of America.
- 2:51Speaker 3: The Gulf of America, yeah.
- 2:53Speaker 1: The Cleveland City Council voted to rename a portion of
- 2:55Speaker 1: Lake Erie to the Gulf of Cleveland.
- 2:58Speaker 3: Okay. Like, I wonder, what can we do here? What
- 3:00Speaker 3: can we name here?
- 3:01Speaker 2: I mean, what's got a bad name that we need
- 3:04Speaker 2: to just take over? Not even a bad name, right?
- 3:06Speaker 3: Just take it over.
- 3:06Speaker 2: Like something with Tempe Town Lake. Okay, it's now John
- 3:08Speaker 2: Jane Rich Lake.
- 3:09Speaker 3: Done.
- 3:09Speaker 2: John Jane Rich Lake, yeah. Done.
- 3:11Speaker 3: Tempe Town Lake and John Jane Rich Lake. Put it
- 3:13Speaker 3: on the map.
- 3:14Speaker 2: There it is. And don't be just leaving your scooters
- 3:17Speaker 2: around our lake. You park this somewhere else.
- 3:19Speaker 1: The World Bank Group put together a list of the
- 3:23Speaker 1: countries with the highest life expectancy. And the United States
- 3:27Speaker 1: came in 48th place with 78.4 years.
- 3:31Speaker 3: I wonder if you guys would ever get the number
- 3:33Speaker 3: one country.
- 3:34Speaker 2: For health?
- 3:36Speaker 5: The highest life expectancy. I felt like I've heard this before.
- 3:38Speaker 5: Is it Finland? Because of all the sonning they do?
- 3:41Speaker 3: Rich, Finland is not in the top 10.
- 3:43Speaker 2: Okay, what about like Switzerland?
- 3:45Speaker 3: Switzerland's number four. Okay, what about- What about USA?
- 3:48Speaker 2: 48.
- 3:48Speaker 3: 48.
- 3:48Speaker 2: Oh, I missed that. Way down there. What show were
- 3:51Speaker 2: you listening to? I missed that right there. Where was
- 3:53Speaker 2: Erling Haaland from? Norway.
- 3:57Speaker 3: Nope.
- 3:58Speaker 5: Oh.
- 3:58Speaker 3: Japan.
- 3:59Speaker 5: Sweden.
- 4:00Speaker 1: There's a tie for fifth, which is Japan and Andorra.
- 4:03Speaker 3: I don't know what that is. I thought that was
- 4:04Speaker 3: a planet in Star Wars. It is.
- 4:06Speaker 1: Number four is Switzerland. Number three is Lechestein, which is
- 4:09Speaker 1: 84 years. San Marino. I don't know where that is.
- 4:12Speaker 1: That's 85 years. The country with the highest life expectancy
- 4:16Speaker 1: is Monaco. 86.4 years.
- 4:19Speaker 2: Beautiful there all the time.
- 4:20Speaker 3: The countries with the lowest life expectancy. Russia.
- 4:23Speaker 5: Nope.
- 4:26Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 4:26Speaker 3: Nope.
- 4:28Speaker 2: What do you hear about people dying? Or partying.
- 4:31Speaker 3: Where do they party a lot? By the way, the
- 4:34Speaker 3: life expectancy here is 54 years old. And that is Nigeria.
- 4:37Speaker 5: Oh, wow.
- 4:38Speaker 1: Nigeria.
- 4:38Speaker 4: Way too young.
- 4:39Speaker 3: What do you got for life hacks, Rich?
- 4:40Speaker 5: Do you guys know the biggest reason people get in accidents?
- 4:44Speaker 2: Obviously, distracted driving, right?
- 4:46Speaker 5: Yeah. But do you know what the number two reason
- 4:48Speaker 5: is that you can totally prevent? It's making left turns.
- 4:52Speaker 5: Because what happens is they say, don't turn your front
- 4:56Speaker 5: wheels until your car is in motion. Because let's say
- 4:59Speaker 5: you're going to make a left turn. Somebody hits you
- 5:01Speaker 5: from behind. They will push you into oncoming traffic, head-on collision.
- 5:05Speaker 2: Oh, that makes sense. Think about that.
- 5:07Speaker 5: So if you're worried about being rear-ended, which you should
- 5:11Speaker 5: be if you're a traffic light. Don't turn your tires
- 5:13Speaker 5: left until you're in motion. That life hack may just
- 5:16Speaker 5: save you a head-on collision.
- 5:17Speaker 1: Hey, there's a text here about this. It says, my
- 5:19Speaker 1: roommate got a ticket for distracted driving after a fender
- 5:22Speaker 1: bender because he was staring at a butterfly right before
- 5:25Speaker 1: he rear-ended the car in front of him.
- 5:27Speaker 2: Oh, my gosh.
- 5:27Speaker 5: Don't stare at butterflies either. That life hack and many
- 5:31Speaker 5: more can be found at johnjandrich.com.
