Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: KSCV Radio.
- 0:07Speaker 2: This is the voice of Texas just telling Wayne Dolcefino,
- 0:11Speaker 2: this is us.
- 0:13Speaker 1: That's me. That's that guy. I love spaghetti. That'd be great.
- 0:21Speaker 3: Let's have a little bit.
- 0:31Speaker 1: KFCV Radio.
- 0:34Speaker 4: Yes, we are the mob, guys.
- 0:35Speaker 1: Can I tell people what spaghetti sauce is like?
- 0:40Speaker 4: Yeah, you want to tell people what spaghetti sauce?
- 0:43Speaker 1: There's a particular crushed tomato I like to use in
- 0:47Speaker 1: my pasta sauce. Okay. It's called– I just thought I'd
- 0:50Speaker 1: give a little– Yeah, please. A little help to the
- 0:53Speaker 1: people who like to cook.
- 0:54Speaker 4: Yeah, I want to know.
- 0:55Speaker 1: What is it? It's called Moody, M-U-T-T-I. You ever buy
- 0:59Speaker 1: Moody's sauce?
- 0:59Speaker 4: No, never bought Moody's sauce.
- 1:01Speaker 1: They have a great arrabbiata, but they also have good
- 1:03Speaker 1: crushed tomatoes. Okay. And I make my sauce fresh because,
- 1:07Speaker 1: you know.
- 1:08Speaker 4: Yeah, of course.
- 1:10Speaker 3: Come on.
- 1:10Speaker 4: You got to do that.
- 1:12Speaker 1: I'm not having mozzarella. People down here call it mozzarella.
- 1:17Speaker 1: It's like moots.
- 1:18Speaker 4: It's mozzarella. Thank you. That makes me happy. It is mozzarella.
- 1:22Speaker 2: I will say this. I buy the Jersey sauce. There's
- 1:25Speaker 2: a sauce from New Jersey. It's like in HEB and
- 1:28Speaker 2: I just buy that.
- 1:29Speaker 4: It's okay. It's not as good as homemade.
- 1:31Speaker 1: Is it called Jersey sauce?
- 1:33Speaker 4: It's actually literally called like Jersey sauce.
- 1:35Speaker 2: And then it's all different kinds of you know, marinara
- 1:39Speaker 2: and whatnot in its jersey. It's got the state of
- 1:41Speaker 2: New Jersey on the bottle.
- 1:43Speaker 1: Gosh. You know what? When you're from New York, quite honestly,
- 1:47Speaker 1: New Jersey seems like a.
- 1:48Speaker 5: It sucks.
- 1:49Speaker 4: Yeah, you hate it.
- 1:50Speaker 1: Kind of like... Yeah. Whatever.
- 1:51Speaker 3: No, I know.
- 1:52Speaker 4: A lot of New Yorkers hate it.
- 1:54Speaker 1: It's like when you're from Houston, you think about Beaumont.
- 1:58Speaker 1: No offense to Beaumont. No, it's fine. They don't listen
- 2:00Speaker 1: to us in Beaumont.
- 2:00Speaker 2: I think that is offensive to Beaumont, actually, if you
- 2:03Speaker 2: knew how New Yorkers felt about New Jersey. I was
- 2:09Speaker 2: telling you off the air that the AI robots do
- 2:12Speaker 2: a lot of our clips now. And a lot of
- 2:13Speaker 2: the clips will pop up on my social media pages.
- 2:16Speaker 2: I think we're putting one clip a week up on
- 2:18Speaker 2: KSEV's Facebook and Instagram page too. And it'll probably feature Wayne.
- 2:23Speaker 2: But we're going to start throwing some clips up on
- 2:25Speaker 2: Dolce Fino Consulting too. Because, you know, the AI thinks
- 2:28Speaker 2: you do great. I actually have to tell the AI
- 2:30Speaker 2: sometimes not to pull five clips of Wayne. I'm like,
- 2:34Speaker 2: can I get one clip of me for my social
- 2:36Speaker 2: media pages?
- 2:36Speaker 1: But you're not saying anything worth repeating it. Why would
- 2:41Speaker 1: they do that? I mean, the AI, does the AI
- 2:44Speaker 1: go back to you and go, who is Craig Coyne
- 2:46Speaker 1: and Izzy? Did they say that?
- 2:48Speaker 4: No, they haven't done that yet. They might.
- 2:50Speaker 1: I'm actually AI today.
- 2:52Speaker 3: Are you?
- 2:53Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:54Speaker 2: Well, we want to get you a docking station because
- 2:56Speaker 2: your internet feed is going in and out since it's Wi-Fi.
- 2:59Speaker 4: So people are seeing a pixelated version of you. We'll
- 3:02Speaker 4: fix that. I can fix that.
- 3:03Speaker 2: We have the Ken Paxton audio that you were talking about.
- 3:06Speaker 2: I actually found the entire post from, I think it's
- 3:09Speaker 2: Fox 4. that put this up. So it's the entire speech.
- 3:13Speaker 2: It's actually the entire thing. It's like an hour and
- 3:15Speaker 2: a half long, but we'll play just like the first
- 3:18Speaker 2: five or six minutes or we'll jump in and out
- 3:20Speaker 2: as we go, probably. But this is what you said
- 3:22Speaker 2: was the best part, right? Right at the beginning of
- 3:24Speaker 2: the speech?
- 3:25Speaker 1: Yeah, it wasn't the first minute, but it was the
- 3:29Speaker 1: first couple of minutes where he goes through the stuff.
- 3:33Speaker 1: I don't know if you want to, how far you
- 3:35Speaker 1: want to play.
- 3:36Speaker 2: Oh, no, no, no, no, not that Russell. It was
- 3:37Speaker 2: at the right spot as the beginning. That's all others.
- 3:40Speaker 4: So yeah, go back to 48. Go back to the 48.
- 3:42Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:43Speaker 2: Cause that's when Paxton starts. So we'll go ahead and
- 3:45Speaker 2: hit play on this. And we'll start playing this audio.
- 3:47Speaker 2: We'll jump in as we go. Cause it's probably too
- 3:49Speaker 2: much to just leave it. I'm talking on his own.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Yeah. Running a five minute ad for him.
- 3:55Speaker 6: Right.
- 3:55Speaker 4: But you really liked the beginning of this conversation.
- 4:00Speaker 3: All for having me here in Corpus Christi today. This
- 4:02Speaker 3: is awesome.
- 4:04Speaker 7: As you know, early voting is underway and Texans are
- 4:07Speaker 7: already showing up.
- 4:09Speaker 3: And I'm honored to be here with you all today.
- 4:11Speaker 7: As we continue to tour across Texas. Did you all
- 4:16Speaker 7: see my campaign bus? My message to the far left
- 4:23Speaker 7: extremists trying to destroy Texas is simple.
- 4:25Speaker 3: You can see it on the bus. Come and take it.
- 4:29Speaker 4: Come and take it.
- 4:32Speaker 3: And am I right?
- 4:33Speaker 7: I'm not alone in this fight, right? Well, I want
- 4:37Speaker 7: to thank Representative Todd Hunter for being here today. He's
- 4:41Speaker 7: been a great friend to me for 20 years. I
- 4:48Speaker 7: can't imagine this area without Todd, actually. And thank you
- 4:51Speaker 7: also to Carmen Calderon for being here. And finally, a
- 4:59Speaker 7: big thank you to Eric Flores, who's going to be
- 5:01Speaker 7: a next congressman.
- 5:02Speaker 2: And we can pause it for a second. I want
- 5:06Speaker 2: to make sure Wayne can hear it. You can hear
- 5:07Speaker 2: that whole thing?
- 5:08Speaker 4: No, you can't.
- 5:09Speaker 2: Okay, make sure that that's in Audition, if the computer
- 5:13Speaker 2: isn't in Audition, because I'm thinking Wayne couldn't hear it. Okay,
- 5:16Speaker 2: that's what I thought. So he's just introducing himself so far.
- 5:19Speaker 2: We can go ahead and hit play on it again,
- 5:21Speaker 2: and hopefully.
- 5:22Speaker 4: Go ahead. What do you want, Russell?
- 5:24Speaker 2: Is the computer... The computer has to be an audition.
- 5:28Speaker 2: The spot that's playing the audio... Okay.
- 5:32Speaker 4: Okay, got it.
- 5:33Speaker 2: Because I can hear it on the air, but I'm
- 5:34Speaker 2: not seeing it actually get fed into the thing, and
- 5:36Speaker 2: I don't think Wayne can hear it. Let's try it
- 5:37Speaker 2: again and see if it actually happens, and maybe I'll
- 5:40Speaker 2: try to fix it on my side.
- 5:41Speaker 7: Well, since April of not this year, but actually 2025,
- 5:44Speaker 7: I've had the privilege.
- 5:46Speaker 4: Okay, I'll just translate it for you.
- 5:47Speaker 3: Of traveling all across our state. And I'll tell you
- 5:51Speaker 3: what I've learned. The best part of the state is
- 5:55Speaker 3: not just the scenery.
- 5:56Speaker 7: or even our great Texas barbecue, which is great, it's
- 6:01Speaker 7: the people of Texas.
- 6:03Speaker 2: The people of Texas are the best part of Texas.
- 6:06Speaker 3: And they are telling me the same thing.
- 6:08Speaker 7: Everything costs more, from groceries to gas, the electric bill,
- 6:11Speaker 7: everything's up except your paycheck.
- 6:15Speaker 3: And my agenda is very simple.
- 6:18Speaker 7: I'm going to fight so that every Texan can buy
- 6:20Speaker 7: a home, raise a family, and live a healthy life
- 6:25Speaker 7: without struggling to make ends meet. And that's why I
- 6:29Speaker 7: unveiled my Protecting the Texas Promise plan. This is an
- 6:32Speaker 7: economic vision to put thousands of dollars back into the
- 6:35Speaker 7: pockets of hardworking Texans.
- 6:39Speaker 3: So what does that mean for you and your family?
- 6:41Speaker 3: Let's see if you like this.
- 6:43Speaker 7: It means a landmark $ 25, 000 deduction for out-of-pocket medical expenses
- 6:48Speaker 7: so that no family goes bankrupt for just getting sick.
- 6:51Speaker 3: And that's for every member of your family.
- 6:58Speaker 7: It means you can own a home with a historic $ 50, 000
- 7:02Speaker 7: down payment deduction.
- 7:06Speaker 3: And this might be my favorite.
- 7:08Speaker 7: A healthy living deduction for gym memberships, nutrition programs, youth sports,
- 7:16Speaker 7: and yes, even physician prescribed GLP-1s.
- 7:19Speaker 3: Not that anybody's using those here.
- 7:22Speaker 4: We can go ahead and stop it again, too.
- 7:23Speaker 3: How about doubling the child tax?
- 7:26Speaker 2: What I think is really interesting is he's just going
- 7:28Speaker 2: through all the different things that he wants to do
- 7:30Speaker 2: and saying GLP-1s are going to be something that's more affordable.
- 7:33Speaker 2: I don't know if you want to say anything to
- 7:34Speaker 2: any of this, Wayne.
- 7:35Speaker 1: Well, look, I just think it's exactly the right tone.
- 7:41Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 7:42Speaker 1: And it's exactly the right message. We have ideas to
- 7:46Speaker 1: bring costs down, too.
- 7:49Speaker 6: Right.
- 7:49Speaker 1: And the Democrats have been allowed to say, hey, we
- 7:53Speaker 1: want to break costs down when nobody's ever said, well, OK,
- 7:57Speaker 1: exactly how we're doing that. Yeah, because let's even if
- 8:01Speaker 1: you believe that Medicare for all is some right, right,
- 8:08Speaker 1: that everybody's got the right, even if you believe that. Right.
- 8:11Speaker 1: Who pays for it? You could tax every billionaire 80%
- 8:15Speaker 1: of their money and it doesn't pay for it.
- 8:18Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 8:18Speaker 1: So it's great to say, look, I would like, I
- 8:22Speaker 1: pay $ 3, 000 a month to rent my bungalow in the Heights. Okay.
- 8:30Speaker 1: Not fancy. You got some Ikea stuff. I got my mattress,
- 8:33Speaker 1: Maxi Kleiner right next to me. I don't really have
- 8:37Speaker 1: nothing special in here. Right. I'm here. I'm not here
- 8:40Speaker 1: that much, right? But if somebody wants to tell me
- 8:45Speaker 1: they're going to give me free rent, I'm all in. Please.
- 8:52Speaker 4: Yeah, I get you.
- 8:53Speaker 1: I want free rent.
- 8:54Speaker 5: Right.
- 8:55Speaker 1: And I want everything free. Right. I want to rent
- 8:57Speaker 1: my car and not have to pay a deductible. I
- 8:59Speaker 1: want everything free. Sure.
- 9:01Speaker 2: I know, because the people that want to vote for
- 9:04Speaker 2: that just don't care where the pain goes as long
- 9:07Speaker 2: as they believe it's not going to go on them.
- 9:08Speaker 4: And then it does go on them.
- 9:09Speaker 2: They're actually some of the people who pay the most
- 9:11Speaker 2: money when everything breaks and everything is more expensive because
- 9:15Speaker 2: of those promises. And they also just aren't delivered. The
- 9:17Speaker 2: other thing is just the stupidity of people to keep
- 9:19Speaker 2: believing this.
- 9:20Speaker 4: Go ahead.
- 9:20Speaker 1: Well, because I believe because I think money comes out
- 9:23Speaker 1: of like somebody's butt. I don't know where they think
- 9:25Speaker 1: it comes from, dude. I mean, I am so frustrated. Look,
- 9:31Speaker 1: I believe in success. I believe in working. And my generation,
- 9:37Speaker 1: I worked all the time. You know, people that worked
- 9:40Speaker 1: at Channel 13 during the heyday of local TV, we
- 9:43Speaker 1: literally worked day and night. We were often there till
- 9:48Speaker 1: midnight working. And without regard for saying, well, you're only
- 9:52Speaker 1: paying me X and I'm just going to work my
- 9:54Speaker 1: eight hours and at 801 I'm leaving. Right. We worked
- 9:58Speaker 1: till we got the job done. And because of that,
- 10:02Speaker 1: we had success. We are losing. We are losing some
- 10:08Speaker 1: of our core values.
- 10:10Speaker 4: Yeah, you're right about that.
- 10:12Speaker 1: And we've got to. We've got to make that, I think,
- 10:17Speaker 1: part of our fight going forward. It's almost as I
- 10:20Speaker 1: as we played that Kennedy speech, you know, a couple
- 10:22Speaker 1: of weeks ago, you remember we were talking about John
- 10:24Speaker 1: Kennedy speech.
- 10:25Speaker 3: Sure.
- 10:26Speaker 1: That's not what your government could do for you or
- 10:28Speaker 1: what you could do for the government. Yes. Where is
- 10:30Speaker 1: that sense of common ground?
- 10:32Speaker 2: Patriotism anymore well it's something we've been talking about is
- 10:36Speaker 2: that there's a lot of people who come into this
- 10:37Speaker 2: country who kind of like hate us and now they
- 10:39Speaker 2: live here and they're spreading that message of like hate
- 10:43Speaker 2: the country you live in there's a lot of people
- 10:45Speaker 2: who were born here that are young people that think
- 10:49Speaker 2: they hate the United States and the only reason I
- 10:51Speaker 2: say think is they have no idea what it's like
- 10:53Speaker 2: to live somewhere else they would hate everywhere else they
- 10:56Speaker 2: go more than they think they hate here but there's
- 10:59Speaker 2: just so much of that man Wayne is on a
- 11:01Speaker 2: tear today And frustrated.
- 11:03Speaker 4: AI is going to love you today as far as
- 11:05Speaker 4: the clips go. Quick break.
- 11:06Speaker 2: A lot to talk about. KSEV Radio, The Voice of Texas.
- 11:09Speaker 2: We are the Mob Guys.
- 11:11Speaker 4: More after this. KSEV Radio.
- 11:15Speaker 8: That's The Voice of Texas.
- 11:18Speaker 2: We are the Mob Guys. That's the Night at the
- 11:20Speaker 2: Roxbury song. I think it's actually like Hathaway. I forget
- 11:23Speaker 2: what it's actually called, the name of that song. But
- 11:25Speaker 2: that's famous from that SNL skit. Do you remember that
- 11:29Speaker 2: or no?
- 11:30Speaker 4: Do you not care?
- 11:31Speaker 1: Of course I remember.
- 11:32Speaker 4: The bobbin heads with Will Ferrell and Chris Kattan.
- 11:35Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 11:35Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 11:36Speaker 4: I remember I was in eighth grade when that came out,
- 11:39Speaker 4: when that was famous.
- 11:40Speaker 1: I was 50. I'm sorry. Go ahead.
- 11:43Speaker 2: And I remember asking for it at like eighth grade
- 11:45Speaker 2: dances and a very popular decision to be made there.
- 11:49Speaker 2: People really loved it. And they all did this. That
- 11:51Speaker 2: was when SNL was funny. It's not funny anymore, which
- 11:54Speaker 2: is sad. All right.
- 11:57Speaker 1: I don't I don't even watch it. Do you watch
- 11:59Speaker 1: it anywhere?
- 11:59Speaker 2: The only thing I saw was the the Shane Gillis thing.
- 12:03Speaker 2: And I see whatever goes viral more so than actually
- 12:05Speaker 2: watch the TV show. And to be honest, it was
- 12:08Speaker 2: probably even funnier before Will Ferrell. Like if you really
- 12:10Speaker 2: get into the heyday of Saturday Night Live, it's just
- 12:13Speaker 2: not it's not even really good cultural commentary anymore.
- 12:16Speaker 1: Right.
- 12:16Speaker 4: Like they don't even really serve that purpose.
- 12:19Speaker 1: I don't even know what they're doing. I still think
- 12:22Speaker 1: Shane Gillis was right. And I'm sorry that so many
- 12:25Speaker 1: women seem to be like, how dare you suggest that
- 12:29Speaker 1: when I wore something and you could see all these
- 12:32Speaker 1: things and that I wasn't doing it to entice you.
- 12:36Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 12:37Speaker 4: Yeah. How dare you get mad at my skin tight
- 12:39Speaker 4: clothing at the gym?
- 12:40Speaker 1: It's all part of the disintegration of the culture, man.
- 12:43Speaker 1: It's someone who grew up when people had a sense
- 12:45Speaker 1: of humor. Right.
- 12:47Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 12:47Speaker 1: And and there are some stereotypes. I'm sorry. Right. And
- 12:52Speaker 1: I'm and I'm now the new thing is going to
- 12:55Speaker 1: be Islamophobia. Right.
- 12:56Speaker 4: I think so.
- 12:57Speaker 1: That's the new thing.
- 12:58Speaker 3: Yes.
- 12:58Speaker 2: Anytime that you're upset with something that you see going
- 13:00Speaker 2: on that seems like it's influenced by people with a
- 13:03Speaker 2: certain religion, you're Islamophobic.
- 13:05Speaker 1: I just can't keep up.
- 13:07Speaker 2: I do want to talk about you mentioned that the
- 13:09Speaker 2: turnout numbers are more and more interesting.
- 13:11Speaker 4: You actually pulled them all. So let's go through some
- 13:13Speaker 4: of that.
- 13:14Speaker 1: Well, actually, you know, I do What's Your Point sometimes
- 13:19Speaker 1: on Fox 26 on Sunday morning. Not very often because
- 13:22Speaker 1: I'm too smart for those people and, you know, I
- 13:24Speaker 1: make them look bad. But, you know, the first day
- 13:28Speaker 1: looked really, really bad, but it's tightening up in terms
- 13:33Speaker 1: of of the history of the voters. So the numbers
- 13:37Speaker 1: show that there have been 2,100,000 voters as of the
- 13:39Speaker 1: end of 1022, which I guess would be today, or
- 13:41Speaker 1: the beginning of 1022. 36.6% only voted in Democratic primaries
- 13:44Speaker 1: from 2020 to 2026. 34.2% primaries. Those are the base voters.
- 14:09Speaker 1: Primaries of both parties, which means the people that go
- 14:13Speaker 1: back and forth, the transgender voters. I'm just kidding. 3.5%
- 14:18Speaker 1: of I'm trying to see who else I can offend.
- 14:25Speaker 4: 3.5 is way too high of a percent for actual
- 14:27Speaker 4: transgender voters.
- 14:28Speaker 1: I think that's probably like 0.1. Or 0.01. But this
- 14:36Speaker 1: is the number that I think is pretty interesting. The
- 14:38Speaker 1: no primary. So they didn't vote in primaries. 25% of
- 14:45Speaker 1: the voters did not have not voted in in the primary,
- 14:51Speaker 1: which could be problematic for Republicans. And, you know, it
- 14:58Speaker 1: gets really difficult. And even as somebody who pays attention
- 15:03Speaker 1: to the media a lot, there is such a bombardment
- 15:08Speaker 1: of anti-Republican, anti-conservative things on most of the media. Not
- 15:15Speaker 1: all of it, right? But most of the media. That
- 15:18Speaker 1: sometimes you wonder, like in 2016, if you believe the media,
- 15:23Speaker 1: Hillary Clinton would have been our president. So that's true.
- 15:28Speaker 1: So who knows?
- 15:31Speaker 2: You know, it's interesting about what you're saying is I
- 15:33Speaker 2: saw a clip from John Cornyn yesterday. I don't know
- 15:35Speaker 2: that we'll play it, but Cornyn was asked a question. Yeah,
- 15:38Speaker 2: we don't need to play it. He was asked a
- 15:40Speaker 2: question about how the election is going. And as you said,
- 15:44Speaker 2: he seems just like a bitter, sore loser person in
- 15:48Speaker 2: how he's behaving. But he did say that the problem
- 15:51Speaker 2: with the primary season is the people that make the
- 15:54Speaker 2: decision on who the candidate is. Obviously, this is what
- 15:57Speaker 2: he blames is the reason he's not the candidate are
- 16:00Speaker 2: too far to their side. He goes, they're too far
- 16:02Speaker 2: to the left, too far to the right. Not enough
- 16:04Speaker 2: people in the middle show up for the primaries. I
- 16:06Speaker 2: don't know that that's actually true. I know that that
- 16:09Speaker 2: logically sounds true. And I know a lot of people
- 16:12Speaker 2: believe it to be true. But I don't know what
- 16:14Speaker 2: we even describe an independent as now, if they vote
- 16:17Speaker 2: often on one side or the other, but believe themselves
- 16:19Speaker 2: to be an independent.
- 16:21Speaker 4: Are they an independent?
- 16:22Speaker 2: But nonetheless, as I say all that, it kind of
- 16:25Speaker 2: leads to the thing you're saying. If people didn't show
- 16:27Speaker 2: up and vote in the primaries and they're voting now,
- 16:32Speaker 2: does that make it more likely that they're voting because
- 16:34Speaker 2: they've been motivated by something that they didn't care about
- 16:37Speaker 2: during the primary season?
- 16:38Speaker 4: That probably hurts Paxton.
- 16:41Speaker 1: Two things I want to say. Number one, Cornyn got
- 16:43Speaker 1: his butt beat by Paxson. It wasn't like close.
- 16:47Speaker 3: He did.
- 16:47Speaker 1: He got destroyed by Paxson. And the internal pollings at
- 16:53Speaker 1: the time showed that he was no more, had any
- 16:57Speaker 1: better chance to beat Tallarito. I know the media says, well,
- 17:01Speaker 1: if Cornyn had run, there wouldn't have been a race. Sure.
- 17:04Speaker 1: And six-gender guy wouldn't have done so well, right? Right.
- 17:08Speaker 1: But the reality of the internals numbers were showing that
- 17:12Speaker 1: Paxton actually had a better chance because his voters were
- 17:17Speaker 1: more motivated to vote for Paxton.
- 17:19Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 17:19Speaker 1: Right. So. But it doesn't matter. If you believe in
- 17:25Speaker 1: the system and you run as a Republican and you're Republican, Republican,
- 17:31Speaker 1: I'm the senator. And then after a while, people are
- 17:35Speaker 1: mad at you for things you did that they were against. Yeah,
- 17:39Speaker 1: that's called Mr. Cornyn. Right. Right. Well, did a bunch
- 17:45Speaker 1: of stuff that made people think you were a squishy,
- 17:48Speaker 1: weak guy and didn't do what the people that voted
- 17:52Speaker 1: to send you there wanted you to do. Right. So
- 17:54Speaker 1: they got somebody else who was always done what he
- 17:58Speaker 1: said he was going to do.
- 17:59Speaker 3: Right.
- 17:59Speaker 5: Yes.
- 18:00Speaker 2: Well, and what's also really interesting to me about, like,
- 18:02Speaker 2: the whole idea of this is that there are a
- 18:04Speaker 2: lot of individuals. I think we heard from them during
- 18:07Speaker 2: the primary season on this radio station that really wouldn't
- 18:10Speaker 2: have voted if it was Cornett. They would have been
- 18:13Speaker 2: so mad at our party doing the same thing over
- 18:16Speaker 2: and over again that they hate. There were a lot
- 18:18Speaker 2: of people that might have sat out because Cornyn to
- 18:20Speaker 2: them represented a refusal to evolve in a way that
- 18:24Speaker 2: Paxton didn't. Paxton seemed like someone that was more willing
- 18:28Speaker 2: to fight for the things that people care about most,
- 18:30Speaker 2: all the stuff you just said. So I do believe
- 18:33Speaker 2: that the challenge that we're facing right now of motivating
- 18:36Speaker 2: the Cornyn people to come out and vote would have
- 18:38Speaker 2: absolutely been true for the Paxton people If he was
- 18:41Speaker 2: not the nominee.
- 18:42Speaker 4: And I think there are more Paxton people.
- 18:45Speaker 1: Or at least the Paxton people, the conservatives are going
- 18:48Speaker 1: to vote.
- 18:49Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 18:49Speaker 1: Right. It's not the conservatives we need to worry about. Well,
- 18:53Speaker 1: we shouldn't. They're going to vote. But it's the it's
- 18:57Speaker 1: the moderates. And that's why I am personally. not for
- 19:01Speaker 1: close primaries. And I know that makes some people mad,
- 19:03Speaker 1: but I do think that you do, people are sort
- 19:07Speaker 1: of disenfranchised by the system to a certain degree. But
- 19:12Speaker 1: a couple of things could be true at the same time.
- 19:14Speaker 1: Maybe John Cornyn would have been a smarter play, but
- 19:20Speaker 1: that's not what the party chose.
- 19:22Speaker 4: I also don't think that's true, but yes.
- 19:24Speaker 1: And the party has done so much for John Cornyn
- 19:30Speaker 1: that John Cornyn owed it, I believe, to the Republicans,
- 19:37Speaker 1: the party that made him so important for so long,
- 19:42Speaker 1: to say, look, obviously, I've got my issues with Ken Baxter.
- 19:47Speaker 7: Right.
- 19:47Speaker 1: That's what he should say.
- 19:48Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 19:49Speaker 1: But it's not a close call of what's better for Texas.
- 19:53Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 19:54Speaker 3: Amen.
- 19:54Speaker 2: Well, I wanted to you said you're more for open
- 19:58Speaker 2: primaries than closed primaries. And I just want to I
- 19:59Speaker 2: want to ask you one question about that. Do you
- 20:02Speaker 2: think turnout should be better for that to be true?
- 20:05Speaker 2: Because the thing I dislike about people who intentionally vote
- 20:08Speaker 2: on the opposite side that they are to throw off
- 20:11Speaker 2: a primary is how easy it is to potentially get
- 20:15Speaker 2: success there because of how few people actually vote in primaries.
- 20:18Speaker 2: If primaries had overwhelmingly large numbers of responses, I would
- 20:22Speaker 2: agree with you that an open primary is better. But
- 20:24Speaker 2: I think a closed primary is important when not that
- 20:27Speaker 2: many people show up to begin with and they can
- 20:29Speaker 2: throw a wrench. And maybe it's not in the Senate race.
- 20:32Speaker 2: But they can throw a wrench in some race by
- 20:34Speaker 2: voting as a Republican when they're a hardcore Democrat and
- 20:37Speaker 2: trying to prop up people that they think are going
- 20:39Speaker 2: to lose.
- 20:41Speaker 1: And I want to say this in a way that
- 20:43Speaker 1: sounds logical. I try to think it through. I obviously
- 20:49Speaker 1: haven't voted for a Democrat in a very long time.
- 20:51Speaker 1: I'm a conservative guy and I want conservatives to win.
- 20:57Speaker 1: But I also want us to be cognizant. at least cognizant,
- 21:04Speaker 1: that there are a lot of people who will be
- 21:07Speaker 1: with us when we tell them in the right way
- 21:11Speaker 1: what we're trying to do. And I sometimes think the
- 21:17Speaker 1: closed primaries ends up creating a situation where we end up,
- 21:23Speaker 1: and we've seen it around the country, Craig, where we
- 21:25Speaker 1: end up with candidates that Maybe closer to what you
- 21:30Speaker 1: or I want, but can't win in general.
- 21:34Speaker 3: Sure.
- 21:35Speaker 4: We have at least one caller on hold. Robert, hang on.
- 21:37Speaker 4: We're going to hit a break.
- 21:38Speaker 2: We'll get back to you when we come back. If
- 21:41Speaker 2: other people want to call in and be a part
- 21:42Speaker 2: of the show, we can. I keep failing to give
- 21:44Speaker 2: out the phone number, which is my bad, and I'm
- 21:46Speaker 2: not going to give out my own number. 281-558-5738 is
- 21:48Speaker 2: the phone number for the radio station. 2-8-1-5-5-8-5-7-3-8 if you
- 21:55Speaker 2: want to get involved.
- 21:56Speaker 4: Quick break.
- 21:56Speaker 2: A lot more from the mob guys after this. And actually, actually,
- 22:06Speaker 2: real quick, Wayne, before we take that break, I just
- 22:10Speaker 2: want to say a couple of quick things about American
- 22:13Speaker 2: medical plans.
- 22:14Speaker 4: Obamacare. I'm going to repeat what I said yesterday.
- 22:17Speaker 3: Horrible.
- 22:18Speaker 2: And I actually I heard from a family member who
- 22:20Speaker 2: is on Obamacare. They're not here in this state, but luckily,
- 22:22Speaker 2: American medical plans is all throughout the country.
- 22:25Speaker 4: So you can get it anywhere.
- 22:26Speaker 2: And they're going to absolutely call Scott Ferguson and try
- 22:29Speaker 2: to compare what they're doing and what he can find them.
- 22:32Speaker 2: Because competing against the ridiculousness of a government run system
- 22:37Speaker 2: that is uniquely expensive and terrible and taking advantage of
- 22:41Speaker 2: people that aren't doing the extra work like Scott will
- 22:43Speaker 2: do it for you. Why trust the government to tell
- 22:46Speaker 2: you what the cheapest plan is when Scott will do
- 22:49Speaker 2: this work?
- 22:49Speaker 4: Go ahead.
- 22:50Speaker 1: I don't trust the government.
- 22:51Speaker 4: About anything.
- 22:52Speaker 5: No.
- 22:52Speaker 1: About anything. Yeah. And I'm going to call him and
- 22:56Speaker 1: he'll give me some free insurance.
- 22:59Speaker 2: I don't know if it's free, but he usually saves
- 23:01Speaker 2: people 60 percent on what they're paying in Obamacare because
- 23:05Speaker 2: he actually goes through all the process and takes you
- 23:07Speaker 2: through every single option. As you said yesterday, you can
- 23:10Speaker 2: also pick what you need. The nice thing about going
- 23:12Speaker 2: to American American medical plans is you don't have to
- 23:15Speaker 2: have insurance to pop out a kid if you're a
- 23:17Speaker 2: dude because you can't have kids, whether the left thinks
- 23:19Speaker 2: you can or not.
- 23:20Speaker 1: I got a text that you left up the audio
- 23:24Speaker 1: on YouTube on this podcast. OK, what that means.
- 23:27Speaker 2: Well, we're we're currently still talking right now. We're talking
- 23:29Speaker 2: about American medical plans. So that's a good thing. We're
- 23:33Speaker 2: doing this on purpose because we're still talking about we're
- 23:36Speaker 2: still doing a spot right now for Scott Ferguson and
- 23:38Speaker 2: American medical plans, man.
- 23:40Speaker 1: Oh, we are.
- 23:41Speaker 9: Yes.
- 23:41Speaker 3: Yes.
- 23:42Speaker 1: I didn't know we were doing we're doing this right now.
- 23:44Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm talking about it.
- 23:45Speaker 1: I thought you were just hanging out with me during
- 23:48Speaker 1: the break.
- 23:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 23:51Speaker 4: That's why I'm waiting for you to say stuff.
- 23:53Speaker 1: I was like waiting. Look, American medical plans make sense.
- 23:57Speaker 3: Yes.
- 23:58Speaker 1: Obamacare is like a nightmare.
- 24:00Speaker 3: It is.
- 24:01Speaker 1: I was thinking, why is Craig talking to me about
- 24:05Speaker 1: Scott Ferguson? I love him.
- 24:07Speaker 3: Right.
- 24:07Speaker 1: I haven't met him, but I love him already because
- 24:10Speaker 1: he's a patriot. He's a guy that cares about America.
- 24:14Speaker 1: He cares about your cost of your health insurance.
- 24:17Speaker 5: Yes.
- 24:17Speaker 1: And he can save you money. And look- I could
- 24:20Speaker 1: save you money.
- 24:21Speaker 3: Right.
- 24:22Speaker 2: Yeah, no, that's why we're talking about this right now.
- 24:23Speaker 2: We haven't taken the break yet.
- 24:26Speaker 4: 833-500-7526.
- 24:27Speaker 2: Say the number again. 833-500-7526 is the phone number for
- 24:34Speaker 2: American Medical Plans. As I said, he will walk you
- 24:37Speaker 2: through the process. He'll compare the Obamacare plans to what
- 24:40Speaker 2: he can also find you outside of them. So if
- 24:43Speaker 2: you need to see them, he'll show you how they're
- 24:44Speaker 2: terrible and expensive. But 833-500-7526. AmericanMedicalPlans.com is the website. It
- 24:53Speaker 2: is a health care plan chosen by you, not the government.
- 24:57Speaker 1: Can I say one more thing?
- 24:58Speaker 5: Oh, yeah.
- 24:58Speaker 3: Go ahead, Wayne.
- 24:59Speaker 4: What do you want to say?
- 25:00Speaker 1: I just want to say that one of the great
- 25:02Speaker 1: things I like about American Medical Plans is that if
- 25:05Speaker 1: you're a guy and you're not going to get pregnant, right,
- 25:09Speaker 1: as the Democrats think we can, you don't have to
- 25:11Speaker 1: pay for that.
- 25:12Speaker 2: You don't.
- 25:13Speaker 1: So I pay for stuff you don't need.
- 25:15Speaker 2: Save yourself some money. No cost consultations. Totally free to
- 25:19Speaker 2: talk to him. Licensed independent advisors. You're going to get
- 25:22Speaker 2: a very small team.
- 25:23Speaker 4: No AI robots. One more time. 1-833-500-PLAN to talk to
- 25:26Speaker 4: Scott Ferguson.
- 25:26Speaker 2: 700 AM, the voice of Texas, the mob guys.
- 25:37Speaker 4: He is the consigliere. Did you say it different than me?
- 25:40Speaker 4: Did you pronounce that word?
- 25:42Speaker 5: What?
- 25:42Speaker 1: I say consigliere.
- 25:43Speaker 4: Why do you say it like that? Just because it's
- 25:45Speaker 4: more Italian?
- 25:45Speaker 1: Because I'm Italian. Okay, got it. That's why. Because I
- 25:49Speaker 1: know the language.
- 25:50Speaker 2: They say consigliere here, right? That's how people pronounce it
- 25:53Speaker 2: in the United States or no?
- 25:54Speaker 3: I don't.
- 25:55Speaker 1: Okay. I say it the way I say it. I
- 25:56Speaker 1: don't care what anyone else says.
- 25:57Speaker 4: Do you actually speak Italian?
- 26:00Speaker 1: I can speak a little bit, but not like I
- 26:04Speaker 1: used to be able to. Back in the, back when
- 26:06Speaker 1: I was like, you know, in my twenties, my dad
- 26:10Speaker 1: was still alive and we used to go to Antonio's.
- 26:12Speaker 1: We're going to Antonio's flying pizza.
- 26:14Speaker 6: We are.
- 26:15Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 26:15Speaker 4: We plan to go. The missus is going to go too.
- 26:17Speaker 4: She's very excited to meet you.
- 26:18Speaker 1: Yeah. I'd like, I look forward to meeting her because
- 26:22Speaker 1: hopefully she's better half than you. But, but I, But
- 26:28Speaker 1: my father used to go there and see Tony, and
- 26:32Speaker 1: they used to talk Italian, and so I would pick
- 26:35Speaker 1: it up.
- 26:35Speaker 3: That's amazing.
- 26:36Speaker 2: Yeah, my grandmother, very upset that none of the grandkids
- 26:38Speaker 2: spoke Italian. It's something that made her very sad.
- 26:41Speaker 1: I took Italian in college.
- 26:42Speaker 4: That's good. I should have done that.
- 26:44Speaker 2: You're a better Italian than me. We got full phone lines.
- 26:47Speaker 4: I don't know why. I don't know what happened, but
- 26:49Speaker 4: this is good.
- 26:49Speaker 1: What did I say?
- 26:50Speaker 4: Yeah, we'll see.
- 26:50Speaker 1: What did I say?
- 26:51Speaker 4: I will go to Robert first. He's been hanging on
- 26:53Speaker 4: the longest. Robert and Katie, what do you want to say, bud?
- 26:58Speaker 5: Good morning, guys.
- 26:59Speaker 6: I just want to talk about commercials that have been
- 27:02Speaker 6: airing with Enosa and Tallarico. Tallarico, on one hand, says,
- 27:10Speaker 6: I'm Republican, all right, so I'm not advertising for these people.
- 27:15Speaker 9: He called out Joe Biden on the border, and he
- 27:21Speaker 9: was part of the greatest property tax relief in the.
- 27:28Speaker 6: State of Texas. And then, uh, he knows, uh, you
- 27:32Speaker 6: got this guy, he's a coach that he won eight titles,
- 27:37Speaker 6: whatever the heck that, I don't care about all that.
- 27:39Speaker 6: But anyway, he says that he started Greg Abbott raised
- 27:43Speaker 6: in Texas. I mean, here you got two Democrats, uh,
- 27:50Speaker 6: contradiction each other, you know, what, what says he's part
- 27:55Speaker 6: of the, tax relief and the other ones saying they're
- 27:59Speaker 6: raising taxes i mean it just goes to show yeah
- 28:03Speaker 6: that they say anything yes to get a vote yep
- 28:07Speaker 6: yes um anyway i just thought i'd bring that up
- 28:10Speaker 6: no it's funny they air those commercials one after each
- 28:13Speaker 6: other and one comes on say he's doing this the
- 28:16Speaker 6: other one comes on And contradict what he just said.
- 28:19Speaker 4: Now, I love the call, Robert, so much. I'll tell
- 28:21Speaker 4: you why. Wait, you go first.
- 28:23Speaker 1: No, go ahead.
- 28:24Speaker 4: Well, I was going to tell him why.
- 28:25Speaker 2: I saw Tallarico in an interview the other day say
- 28:28Speaker 2: that Democrats voted for. voter ID and that Republicans voted
- 28:33Speaker 2: against it and that Democrats voted for stopping gerrymandering and
- 28:38Speaker 2: that Republicans voted against it. And it's so ridiculous when
- 28:42Speaker 2: they pretend that that's true, because any bill that a
- 28:45Speaker 2: Democrat has put forward that has required something similar to
- 28:49Speaker 2: voter ID or similar to a restriction on gerrymandering is
- 28:52Speaker 2: It comes with all this other stuff that is 100
- 28:54Speaker 2: percent stuff Republicans can't support. In one case, it would
- 28:57Speaker 2: have caused us to have completely open elections where anybody
- 29:01Speaker 2: could vote and totally the opposite of voter ID. But
- 29:04Speaker 2: they claim it because on some vote, some way where
- 29:07Speaker 2: they built a bill that was ridiculous, they kind of
- 29:10Speaker 2: sort of included that in it. And then they say
- 29:13Speaker 2: the other side doesn't support it. So the way they
- 29:15Speaker 2: lie is ridiculous, Robert.
- 29:17Speaker 1: Yeah, and Robert, I'll say one other thing. If you
- 29:20Speaker 1: think about it, Tallarico did call out Biden on the border,
- 29:24Speaker 1: but he did it like a week ago. And so
- 29:28Speaker 1: I would love to find the clip of Tallarico, and
- 29:33Speaker 1: it doesn't exist, where he called out Joe Biden on
- 29:36Speaker 1: the border while Joe Biden was actually president. Saying it
- 29:42Speaker 1: now when you're trying to convince people you're something you
- 29:45Speaker 1: are not, He can say, I called out Joe Biden. Like,
- 29:50Speaker 1: I could call out Craig Coglianese today. And then tomorrow
- 29:53Speaker 1: I could say, I've called out Craig Coglianese. Come on.
- 29:59Speaker 1: You think people are stupid, and they are to a
- 30:01Speaker 1: certain degree.
- 30:02Speaker 2: It's sad that some are, that many people do get,
- 30:05Speaker 2: you know, roped into that stuff.
- 30:06Speaker 4: You're absolutely right about that.
- 30:07Speaker 2: The other thing that's funny is I think it was
- 30:08Speaker 2: like 2021 is when Tallarico put forward a bill that
- 30:12Speaker 2: would have given anybody here amnesty, would have allowed anybody
- 30:14Speaker 2: here illegally. So during the open border problem, when Biden
- 30:18Speaker 2: is swinging the door wide open, Tallarico is trying to
- 30:20Speaker 2: be at the forefront of allowing people to be citizens
- 30:23Speaker 2: or allowing people to have residencies here in this country illegally.
- 30:27Speaker 2: that came in illegally, the exact opposite of lock on
- 30:30Speaker 2: the door. That is the part of the quote that
- 30:32Speaker 2: people claim he believes in. No, he believes in the
- 30:35Speaker 2: welcome mat. He doesn't believe in the lock on the door,
- 30:37Speaker 2: even if he says the words.
- 30:38Speaker 1: There might be a lock on the door, but they
- 30:40Speaker 1: give everybody a copy of the key.
- 30:43Speaker 4: Well, they're all locked in, by the way.
- 30:45Speaker 2: They all got inside and then we locked the door,
- 30:47Speaker 2: which seems like the wrong spot.
- 30:49Speaker 4: We got more calls. Let's go to Bart next. I
- 30:51Speaker 4: think Bart is also calling in spring. Bart, what do
- 30:53Speaker 4: you want to say?
- 30:55Speaker 8: Yeah, I must be one of those stupid people. Every
- 30:57Speaker 8: time I hear Tallarico say that we have to give
- 31:00Speaker 8: abortion services for the trans community, are those the trans
- 31:04Speaker 8: men or the trans women getting pregnant?
- 31:06Speaker 4: I'm not sure. That's a great question.
- 31:09Speaker 2: The trans women getting pregnant and needing birth care services
- 31:14Speaker 2: is crazy, Bart.
- 31:16Speaker 8: I know they think men can get pregnant, but I'm like, How?
- 31:20Speaker 8: How do they get pregnant if they're trans women or
- 31:22Speaker 8: trans men? What's going on here?
- 31:24Speaker 2: Bart's making me want to play the Monty Python sketch,
- 31:26Speaker 2: the joke about how men can't get pregnant.
- 31:29Speaker 1: We should play it sometime. I will tell you, it's
- 31:31Speaker 1: one of my favorite things.
- 31:32Speaker 8: Wannabe Rebecca.
- 31:33Speaker 4: Wannabe Rebecca. Yeah, exactly. Exactly, Bart. Anything else you got
- 31:36Speaker 4: first or is that it?
- 31:38Speaker 8: No, just wondering which group he's talking about. And people
- 31:41Speaker 8: must be stupid to hear him say men can get
- 31:43Speaker 8: pregnant and believe him. This guy is nuts.
- 31:45Speaker 4: Yeah, he is nuts. He is insane. All right, well,
- 31:47Speaker 4: thank you very much for the call, Bart, in spring.
- 31:49Speaker 4: I agree with you.
- 31:49Speaker 2: And probably we'll take a break after we take one
- 31:51Speaker 2: more call, and then we'll play the thing from Monty Python,
- 31:54Speaker 2: because it's so good from the life of Brian.
- 31:57Speaker 4: Dale, what do you want to say?
- 32:00Speaker 5: Yeah, there's a different angle, I think, to the open primaries, Craig,
- 32:04Speaker 5: that you you're not talking about, uh, sure. And I'll
- 32:09Speaker 5: tell you about my district. I'm, I've lived in my
- 32:12Speaker 5: house for 35 years. And unfortunately my district was red, red,
- 32:18Speaker 5: red for like 27 or 28 years. Uh, a lot
- 32:23Speaker 5: of times, you know, for the congressional race, you would
- 32:26Speaker 5: have a, either a Democrat wouldn't even run or you
- 32:30Speaker 5: would have a very, very weak Democrat. So I would
- 32:34Speaker 5: vote in the Republican primary because, uh, My thoughts were,
- 32:38Speaker 5: let me vote for the Republican that I think will
- 32:41Speaker 5: do the least damage. Or, you know, let me vote
- 32:43Speaker 5: for who I think is the best Republican. I've never
- 32:48Speaker 5: voted in a.
- 32:50Speaker 4: I just want to make sure I understand.
- 32:51Speaker 2: So, Dale, you're a Democrat and you voted in a
- 32:54Speaker 2: Republican primary because you knew a Republican was going to
- 32:56Speaker 2: win your district and you wanted your voice to still
- 32:58Speaker 2: be heard that way.
- 33:01Speaker 5: Exactly. I wanted to vote for what Republican was either
- 33:04Speaker 5: the least offensive or who I felt would do a
- 33:08Speaker 5: good job. I've never voted in a Republican primary to.
- 33:13Speaker 4: Just disrupt. I get it.
- 33:18Speaker 5: Like in 2000, I knew that Gore was going to
- 33:21Speaker 5: get the Democratic nomination. And I never was a big
- 33:24Speaker 5: fan of George W. So I went and voted in
- 33:27Speaker 5: the Republican primary. It's the first time I voted in
- 33:33Speaker 5: an open primary so I could vote for John McCain. Now,
- 33:36Speaker 5: that was the biggest mistake I've ever made because now
- 33:38Speaker 5: I'm on every Republican mailing list.
- 33:41Speaker 4: That's not so bad. I think you enjoy that, Dale.
- 33:44Speaker 4: Come on, Dale. Maybe they have some good points. Crack
- 33:46Speaker 4: those open.
- 33:47Speaker 1: Go ahead. So, yeah.
- 33:49Speaker 5: So that's my case for open primary.
- 33:52Speaker 4: Well, let me respond to that, actually.
- 33:54Speaker 2: And I know Wayne just said he likes the open primary,
- 33:56Speaker 2: so he'll probably say something different.
- 33:57Speaker 1: Love may be too strong. I mean, I just think.
- 34:01Speaker 1: That it's it's not fair to those voters that want
- 34:08Speaker 1: to come on board to tell them they're not welcome
- 34:11Speaker 1: is to me the message.
- 34:13Speaker 2: So this is the question I have for Dale. And
- 34:15Speaker 2: I think it kind of leans into what Wayne just said, too.
- 34:18Speaker 2: Do you think that's the point of the primaries? I
- 34:20Speaker 2: think the point of the primary is to allow a
- 34:22Speaker 2: party to pick its representative. And when you vote as
- 34:27Speaker 2: a Democrat who has no intention of actually voting for
- 34:30Speaker 2: the person that you're voting for in the primary on
- 34:32Speaker 2: the next stage, which you didn't, I like that you
- 34:35Speaker 2: did it honestly, Dale, and that you weren't just trying
- 34:37Speaker 2: to screw up the system and harm whatever Republican, you know,
- 34:41Speaker 2: might have had a good chance at winning by trying
- 34:44Speaker 2: to throw in a Republican that you thought had a
- 34:45Speaker 2: bad chance of winning. I like that he did it honestly.
- 34:48Speaker 2: But still, that's not the intention of the primary. The
- 34:51Speaker 2: primary is not to let Dale, if he's a Democrat
- 34:54Speaker 2: who has no intention again of voting when the actual
- 34:56Speaker 2: election is running for the person he's voting for in
- 34:58Speaker 2: a primary of picking that candidate. It's for the party
- 35:02Speaker 2: itself to pick its candidate that represents them.
- 35:05Speaker 1: Yeah, I guess the only question I have is as
- 35:10Speaker 1: more and more people are identified, right or wrong, whether
- 35:13Speaker 1: I agree with them or not doesn't matter, right? Sometimes
- 35:16Speaker 1: reality is reality. So more and more people are identifying
- 35:20Speaker 1: as independents. Wouldn't you want more people to– vote and
- 35:28Speaker 1: I get the party thing, but you know, when the
- 35:31Speaker 1: parties represent just about half the country now, structurally, we've
- 35:36Speaker 1: got to figure out what, what, That means.
- 35:40Speaker 2: I know Matthew McConaughey recently went viral for telling us
- 35:43Speaker 2: all that most people are independents now.
- 35:44Speaker 4: They're actually not on the right or left. But I'll
- 35:46Speaker 4: say this.
- 35:47Speaker 2: The nice thing about the primary, if it's closed, is
- 35:49Speaker 2: you don't have to, like, pick it forever. You pick
- 35:51Speaker 2: it this time. Like, I would go this year and
- 35:54Speaker 2: be a Republican if I'm an independent. And then two
- 35:57Speaker 2: years later, if I'm insane, I become a Democrat for
- 35:59Speaker 2: some reason and I vote on the other side. Like,
- 36:02Speaker 2: I don't think that the flaw is the same as
- 36:04Speaker 2: you think it is because you get to choose every.
- 36:06Speaker 4: Primary season differently. which primary you vote in.
- 36:10Speaker 2: Um you know you don't have to stay in that
- 36:12Speaker 2: side forever.
- 36:13Speaker 1: All right shut him down shut those.
- 36:15Speaker 2: Damn primaries but now i know dale was still on
- 36:18Speaker 2: the phone i wanted to let him get a shot
- 36:20Speaker 2: in if he wanted to respond to what i said
- 36:21Speaker 2: one more yeah go ahead sorry.
- 36:23Speaker 5: No i wanted to ask what i did i ask
- 36:26Speaker 5: one more.
- 36:26Speaker 4: Question yes please you're back on the air you're back
- 36:28Speaker 4: in the.
- 36:28Speaker 5: Air okay and this is gonna sound kind of mean
- 36:31Speaker 5: but who is hinosa I've got a Hinojosa sign in
- 36:35Speaker 5: my front yard, but who is Hinojosa?
- 36:37Speaker 4: Who said Hinojosa?
- 36:38Speaker 5: That's a new one on me.
- 36:39Speaker 4: Who said what? Which one of us said that?
- 36:43Speaker 5: You didn't say it, but the caller before last was
- 36:47Speaker 5: talking about Hinojosa.
- 36:49Speaker 4: I didn't know who that was. Gina Hinojosa. It's actually,
- 36:53Speaker 4: the H is silent. It's Hinojosa, I think.
- 36:56Speaker 1: Well, I know.
- 36:57Speaker 5: But I don't know who Inosa is. I just thought
- 37:00Speaker 5: maybe y'all could enlighten me.
- 37:01Speaker 6: I know that's mean.
- 37:02Speaker 4: I'm sorry.
- 37:03Speaker 2: Well, no, you know what's funny is I also don't
- 37:05Speaker 2: know who she is because I don't think she's going
- 37:06Speaker 2: to win.
- 37:07Speaker 4: I don't care about her at all.
- 37:08Speaker 3: I don't.
- 37:09Speaker 4: Never heard of her. I never heard of her name before.
- 37:11Speaker 4: Gina who? All right, a quick break. A lot more
- 37:14Speaker 4: kids know we were being mean. The Voice of Texas.
- 37:17Speaker 1: See you.
- 37:28Speaker 2: KFTV Radio, the voice of Texas. Wayne is laughing because
- 37:32Speaker 2: of something we just talked about off the air. We
- 37:34Speaker 2: are the mob guys.
- 37:35Speaker 4: That was a mob guy move that I tried there.
- 37:37Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. So what's the odds right now on Polly Market?
- 37:41Speaker 2: I think it's like 65-35 or something for Tallarico to
- 37:46Speaker 2: win Texas. Most of the money is coming in for Tallarico.
- 37:49Speaker 2: So Paxton's actually a good bet right now if you
- 37:52Speaker 2: think he's going to win.
- 37:53Speaker 1: Okay. So the other day, I think there was like
- 37:56Speaker 1: some $ 15 bill or $ 20 bill or something, and I
- 37:59Speaker 1: gave you $ 100 because I only carry hundreds. That's true.
- 38:02Speaker 1: And so you owe me right now about $ 60.
- 38:06Speaker 5: Right.
- 38:06Speaker 4: $ 65, I think it is.
- 38:08Speaker 1: $ 65, whatever it is. And so during the break, we
- 38:11Speaker 1: were talking about... We think we should put money on Paxton. Right.
- 38:16Speaker 1: To win.
- 38:17Speaker 6: Right.
- 38:18Speaker 1: And I said, hey, why don't you just use the
- 38:20Speaker 1: 60 bucks?
- 38:21Speaker 5: Right.
- 38:22Speaker 1: And you said, okay, I'll use your $ 60 to place
- 38:28Speaker 1: the bet.
- 38:29Speaker 5: Right.
- 38:30Speaker 1: And we'll split it.
- 38:31Speaker 3: If we win. Yeah.
- 38:32Speaker 1: Wait a second. Why do you get 50%? It's not
- 38:36Speaker 1: even your money.
- 38:37Speaker 5: Right.
- 38:38Speaker 4: No, a bookie doesn't get that much. A bookie gets
- 38:40Speaker 4: like 5% or something.
- 38:41Speaker 1: That's true. It's like mob interest rates. I'll do it
- 38:44Speaker 1: for you, but I got to take 50%.
- 38:46Speaker 4: We're going to put some juice on it.
- 38:48Speaker 2: So I was hoping you'd just say yes to that
- 38:51Speaker 2: was what the plan was.
- 38:52Speaker 1: I was actually going to offer it.
- 38:54Speaker 4: I know.
- 38:55Speaker 1: But I've taken my offer back now.
- 38:57Speaker 4: I made a mistake.
- 38:58Speaker 1: I don't even need you. Give me my darn money
- 39:00Speaker 1: back and I'll place my own.
- 39:01Speaker 2: I'll give you, I'll give you your money back. I
- 39:03Speaker 2: promise I'm going to do it, but we can go
- 39:05Speaker 2: in together. You with your 65, me with five, and
- 39:08Speaker 2: then we can split it.
- 39:09Speaker 4: If we went, you know what I mean?
- 39:10Speaker 2: We'll put it, we'll put a $ 70 bet in. So
- 39:12Speaker 2: we're both in on it. And then if we, if
- 39:14Speaker 2: we win, we, we get half.
- 39:16Speaker 1: We'll use it to, we'll go have good pizza.
- 39:19Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 39:20Speaker 1: And then we'll, um, yeah, I get the money back.
- 39:23Speaker 2: It is crazy to me though, that people act like the,
- 39:25Speaker 2: the prediction markets are the same thing as Vegas, because
- 39:28Speaker 2: there's a way that they're not the prediction markets.
- 39:30Speaker 4: Markets just focus on how people are betting.
- 39:33Speaker 2: Vegas actually does think that like a team is going
- 39:36Speaker 2: to win on Sunday and give you better odds or
- 39:38Speaker 2: worse odds based on what team they think is capable
- 39:42Speaker 2: of actually like winning a game. Everybody treats the prediction
- 39:45Speaker 2: markets like it's the same thing. Like Kalshi has a say.
- 39:48Speaker 2: And what they think will happen. And that's not true.
- 39:50Speaker 2: It's just how people are betting. So more and more
- 39:53Speaker 2: people are putting money on Tallarico right now in the
- 39:55Speaker 2: Texas Senate race, which means again. that if Paxton actually wins,
- 39:59Speaker 2: he makes you more money. I'm not, I'm not encouraging
- 40:01Speaker 2: people to gamble, but I just think it's funny when
- 40:04Speaker 2: I hear from a lefty that tells me how, what's that?
- 40:07Speaker 4: Oh, he will.
- 40:08Speaker 2: Well, I think it's funny when I hear from a lefty,
- 40:10Speaker 2: like even Cal, she thinks that Tallarico is going to win.
- 40:13Speaker 4: No, they don't.
- 40:13Speaker 2: They're just reflecting on how the money is coming in
- 40:16Speaker 2: to their system.
- 40:17Speaker 4: That's all they're doing.
- 40:18Speaker 1: Yeah. Look, I, I think it's, I like this come
- 40:22Speaker 1: and take it slogan for the last, for the bus tour.
- 40:25Speaker 1: I think it's, I think it's very Texan. I think
- 40:29Speaker 1: it was a smart strategy. And I think if Paxton
- 40:35Speaker 1: can continue to talk about what he's done, I still
- 40:40Speaker 1: maintain that Paxton needs to do a media blitz as well.
- 40:44Speaker 1: He needs to be interviewed by every TV station, radio station.
- 40:51Speaker 1: I didn't agree with the strategy of trying to keep
- 40:54Speaker 1: him away from the media that much. I think he's
- 40:58Speaker 1: got to get his message out because if you don't talk,
- 41:02Speaker 1: then they're not obligated to help you.
- 41:04Speaker 4: Yeah, that's true. The show's over.
- 41:06Speaker 3: That's it. We're done.
- 41:06Speaker 4: Yeah, I know. Two-hour show. Went by real fast.
- 41:09Speaker 1: You're on your own tomorrow.
- 41:11Speaker 4: Okay, I'm on my own tomorrow. Thank you for telling
- 41:13Speaker 4: me that now. I got it. Where are you going? Austin,
- 41:15Speaker 4: you traveling?
- 41:16Speaker 1: I can't.
- 41:17Speaker 2: All right, fair enough. Special assignment tomorrow for Wayne Dolcefino.
- 41:23Speaker 2: I am Craig Colonese. We are the Mob Guys. We're
- 41:25Speaker 2: going to put some clips up on Dolcefino Consulting that'll
- 41:28Speaker 2: probably all feature Wayne and barely have me in them
- 41:30Speaker 2: at all.
- 41:31Speaker 4: But that'll be coming up in a little bit.
- 41:33Speaker 1: Yeah, we don't want you on our site.
- 41:35Speaker 4: Okay, check that out online. Be with us tomorrow. Check
- 41:38Speaker 4: our podcast out, all that stuff.
- 41:40Speaker 2: KSV Radio, The Voice of Texas, talk to you at
- 41:42Speaker 2: 7 o'clock.
