- Vanessa: I can guarantee you two things in this world, one of them being death and the other being change. Now, change, she comes for us whether we anticipate her or not. Everything has the capacity to change. Change is inevitable. We can't fight against change. There's nothing we can do when things are changing except go with the flow. When we put resistance against the need or desire or things changing, we create so much confusion for ourselves. When in reality, we need to be seeing change as a unexpected detour or crossroads in our journey. And we're able to either resist or We can take matters into our own hands and go with the flow and see where that adventure takes us. Today's episode is about change and how we can grieve yet anticipate a beautiful life ahead of us as things are changing. My name is Vanessa and this is the Mystic Within Podcast, a podcast designed for women reconnecting with their power, their intuition, and their purpose, one honest conversation at a time. Let's get into this little episode today. As you can see, my living room has no furniture. I am in the midst of a huge transition and change. Yet again, that's the theme of this year. We are altering, we are changing, we are transforming into the person we need to be. I am moving. And there is a sorrow, yet hope that's streamlining through my experience right now because I'm so sad to be leaving my space. This is the last, one of the last times you'll probably see this background. I'm grieving the experience or the version of myself that's all still here. But does that mean there's a version of me that's not thriving on the other side of that? No. And that's where I'm just allowing my hands to be off the wheel right now and trusting that everything is happening the way it needs to, yet I can still hold space for what I'm feeling, experiencing, and thinking about here. And the person I've come to be as I've lived here. I think that's the attitude that we need to move forward with change. Change is scary because we're stepping into unknown territory, which is something I've talked about many times now. But does unknown mean bad? Does unknown mean scary inherently? Maybe, depending on your relationship with change and the big question mark of life. But it also means that. There is a whole world about to unfold in front of your eyes. And there's adventure with that. There's excitement with that. There's potential joy with that. There is a whole expansion happening that you cannot see in that unknown area. This is where we have to just flow with whatever's going on. We have the power, of course, to change anything. And as we put and assert that power into this universe, we then need to be open to the transition and change that the universe is mirroring back to us. that's exactly what a season of change in your life is asking you to do. Release the need to control or stay comfortable because the desire to stay comfortable is the desire to stay small or the acceptance to stay small. And neither of those things is okay when you're being called to do more. Well ask yourself why do you want to be small when you're meant to be living this grandiose, beautiful existence and life? You wouldn't be asked and moved in these directions if you weren't called to do so. Sometimes the change feels really intense, or we're going through a season of really tumultuous change. And really what the universe is doing in those moments is forging you. Like the Phoenix that rises from the ashes, you will too. The change in that scenario is creating you and shaping you into the person who has the strength to hold their dream life. That's exactly what those moments of change are for. In tarot, there's a card called the Tower. it's this really intense card, honestly. When you pull it, you're kind of like, ooh, I know what's about to happen. It's unexpected chaos and transformation and change. And right as you build up this tower, a strike of lightning hits it down and crumbles everything to the floor. And now you're back at ground zero. You know I love ground zero because ground zero means you can create whatever you want. There's no more structure that you're building things off of. You get to start fresh. You get to start new. And when you're going through these changes, picture yourself quite literally transforming on an atomic level. You are taking in these experiences and embracing them and then turning them over so you can create. Create the life that you want. You're becoming the person who has those skills. And sometimes those skills need to be learned through some really tough change. And that's okay. It's okay to be scared of that. It's okay to feel nervous about these times and seasons of your life. But if you can embrace change in a way that's very present and in the moment, and you're dealing with things as they come up. You then take the power back from that fear and anxiety about what the unknown actually holds. Because what if the unknown is everything you want? What if the unknown is your dream life? What if the unknown is you reclaiming your power and your life back? But that only starts with you really stepping into the moment, really stepping into what your intuition is telling you and reconnecting with this idea of change. What does change mean to you? And why do we feel so nervous when things begin? To change. If you're in a moment where you're going through really intense change right now, I want you to know that on the other side, the person who has gone through that transformation and change is evolved. They feel expanded. They feel like it was meant to be. I always hear this quote where it's like: an experience will either be a lesson or a moving forward step. And truthfully isn't a lesson kind of the step forward as well. You're going with experience to the next thing. And that's the opportunity that change brings to us. I think there's also a certain level of grief that comes when things are changing. Grief for a moment or grief for a time of your life is normal and natural. We are able to evolve and change into whoever we need to be based off whatever we're experiencing. And every version of yourself was necessary and is necessary. Grief is really a prolonged existence of love. So instead of feeling sad that you're not in that position anymore, or you were forced to change, or you had to go through a transformation, show love for that version of yourself. Show love for the version of you now who is undergoing the change or is seeing the other side of it. There's so many versions of us that exist that deserve that love. And we're allowed to step into whatever version at whatever time we want. If you are in a season of transformation and change in which you're feeling like I don't want to change, again, ask yourself why. What are we afraid of? What are we not wanting to change? What do we love about what's going on right now that you don't want change to happen? because what you're loving or wanting to keep the same in those scenarios, it's either a comfort zone. It's either a joy that you're having in that moment, it's a nostalgia, it's a feeling that you want to maintain. So, what is stopping us from taking that feeling and applying it to other forms in our life? What if the change is bringing more of that? Change is not the enemy. We often look at change like it's a tsunami coming in and destroying everything. And sometimes it does feel chaotic like that. Sometimes it's super intense in that way. But sometimes we just need to ride the wave of change Change can be messy, change can be scary, change can be exciting. Change is going to bring a whole new set of skills, characteristics, amazing qualities to this expanded version of yourself. I'm going through my transformation, I wanted to give just a little episode about change and just a few of my thoughts that I'm having because I'm currently going through big change. I'm currently going through transformation, and that's really been an expansive experience for me. And I've had an array of emotions, honestly. The change is bringing a richer experience to you.
