- 1:00Speaker 3: Well here after round one, right before round two, Corey
- 1:03Speaker 3: is in last place with four points, but still in
- 1:05Speaker 3: the game. I would say this early. Oh oh yeah
- 1:07Speaker 3: at Randall. Randall coming up next with five, Brody and
- 1:12Speaker 3: Seth are tied up with six. I like where I'm
- 1:14Speaker 3: at and tight up in first are Stephen Ranella and
- 1:17Speaker 3: Giannis who tell us with seven or ninety.
- 1:19Speaker 2: Last year when we did thirty questions, Randall was leading
- 1:22Speaker 2: after episode one and he never gave up that lead.
- 1:25Speaker 1: So really, I didn't win last year.
- 1:27Speaker 2: You did now win last year. You did win the
- 1:28Speaker 2: year before. Right here, you were here last year. Yep,
- 1:31Speaker 2: Randall beat you Farren square by two whole points.
- 1:34Speaker 1: For sure, I'm.
- 1:35Speaker 2: Certain of it. You had twenty four. Randall had twenty six.
- 1:39Speaker 2: Now before we turn on the mics, Brody said that
- 1:41Speaker 2: he needed to well, Yan, if this event.
- 1:44Speaker 4: Is bigger than the super Bowl, I'd like to address
- 1:48Speaker 4: that Jannis can't miss the super Bowl this weekend.
- 1:51Speaker 5: Interesting if you listen to part one of this when
- 1:54Speaker 5: you asked about Yanni, is he a true outdoorsman?
- 1:57Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 1:57Speaker 2: Oh yes, m he's not. Okay, he's not.
- 2:01Speaker 5: Yanni gets the whole squirrel hunt going for the kids
- 2:05Speaker 5: and then gets everything, get get the permission, get the permissions,
- 2:11Speaker 5: and then he's like, oh, okay, forget I go to
- 2:14Speaker 5: not not only is it the super Bowl day, I
- 2:15Speaker 5: forgot I'm hosting a super Bowl party or.
- 2:19Speaker 7: To the Super Bowl party.
- 2:21Speaker 1: Invited to the Super Bowl party.
- 2:23Speaker 2: Our super part is very small party, he said, hosting.
- 2:29Speaker 2: What so, what's going on with the Super Bowl party?
- 2:31Speaker 2: What are you serving? Not squirrel?
- 2:33Speaker 5: I haven't cooked any he might because on Saturday.
- 2:37Speaker 8: I haven't. I haven't got I haven't thought that far,
- 2:40Speaker 8: you know, because there was a it's only a few
- 2:43Speaker 8: days away, I know, And there was a few moments
- 2:45Speaker 8: from like, well maybe I can still drive three hours
- 2:48Speaker 8: each year.
- 2:48Speaker 5: My wife was like, I don't understand what to do.
- 2:50Speaker 8: Make it to the game.
- 2:51Speaker 5: Well, my wife was like, well that's not till the evening.
- 2:54Speaker 5: It starts at like and I was like, you don't
- 2:57Speaker 5: understand where we're.
- 2:58Speaker 1: Going to squirrel four thirty kickoffs.
- 3:02Speaker 2: Cory Calkins doesn't like to drive to eastern Montana to
- 3:05Speaker 2: kill an antelope. But you guys are going to drive
- 3:07Speaker 2: three hours to kill some squirrels somewhere else.
- 3:12Speaker 3: A wait, who you say, Cory, he doesn't want to
- 3:15Speaker 3: drive out there.
- 3:16Speaker 7: Well, for the last ten years, I've just I've been
- 3:18Speaker 7: able to not have to go that far.
- 3:20Speaker 2: He likes getting tough these days.
- 3:22Speaker 3: Jeez, I drive all the way out there just to
- 3:24Speaker 3: look around.
- 3:26Speaker 1: There's gonna be Steve.
- 3:27Speaker 4: Drove out there, well, not even out to eastern like
- 3:30Speaker 4: northeastern Montana.
- 3:32Speaker 7: Coyote hunt, Seth, I'm just a little.
- 3:39Speaker 3: Okay, just make me go.
- 3:43Speaker 1: Four points.
- 3:45Speaker 2: This show is usually editless, but Steve has just dropped
- 3:49Speaker 2: h identify her for where he likes to coyote hunt,
- 3:53Speaker 2: somewhere in the Rocky Mountains. And yeah, Hill has to
- 3:56Speaker 2: make a cut.
- 3:58Speaker 5: Well, because there's some I want to try something, and
- 4:01Speaker 5: I want to be the guy that tries.
- 4:03Speaker 2: Oh, let's talk about it after the show. What the
- 4:07Speaker 2: thing you want to try? Oh, I'd like to give
- 4:10Speaker 2: you some ideas.
- 4:11Speaker 8: Steve has made a tactical change getting ready for the
- 4:14Speaker 8: second game.
- 4:16Speaker 2: He switched chairs with me. Switched big time. Didn't even
- 4:19Speaker 2: ask your permission.
- 4:21Speaker 5: I like because I like to read the question and
- 4:23Speaker 5: so I don't like that feeling.
- 4:24Speaker 1: And in the move he's a language man. I feel
- 4:27Speaker 1: like I was losing part of my answer swinging around.
- 4:30Speaker 2: Like that cost you a point. Probably then we have
- 4:33Speaker 2: some housekeeping to get to. Last week, Steve argued that
- 4:36Speaker 2: Yanni's answer of Rickcord should not be accepted, deciding that
- 4:40Speaker 2: nobody calls it that. Well, here's a list of nobodies
- 4:43Speaker 2: who do, in fact call it a Rick Chord, Timberwolf,
- 4:46Speaker 2: firewood processing equipment, what chuckers, firewood wedges, firewood Butler, would
- 4:53Speaker 2: premiere firewood company?
- 4:56Speaker 7: Thress important.
- 4:59Speaker 2: Press company? Do you know House Digest, home Guide dot com?
- 5:04Speaker 2: And most importantly, Steve's heard of these ones the Minnesota
- 5:08Speaker 2: Department of Natural Resources and the National Park Service. Rickcord, Ricord, Rickcord,
- 5:16Speaker 2: good luck argue right on them all right? The shelby
- 5:20Speaker 2: next for today is a three and a half, so
- 5:23Speaker 2: our winner should get seven correct answers. And with that
- 5:25Speaker 2: we're onto the game of trivia. Play the drop pill.
- 5:30Speaker 7: Look, we need to know what I stand to win everything?
- 5:34Speaker 1: Ricord just tend to win everything.
- 5:42Speaker 5: Probably got up.
- 5:50Speaker 2: Question two, Question one of round two. The topic is cooking.
- 5:53Speaker 2: Right will be multiple choice. According to a twenty nineteen survey,
- 5:59Speaker 2: what perconercent of Americans eat game meat at least once
- 6:03Speaker 2: a year? Is it thirteen percent, twenty eight percent, forty
- 6:09Speaker 2: three percent, or fifty eight percent. According to a survey
- 6:13Speaker 2: by WHO the National Shooting Sports Foundation, they interviewed over
- 6:17Speaker 2: three thousand Americans. Here is the exact question they asked,
- 6:21Speaker 2: not including meat from farm raised sources, ordered at restaurants
- 6:26Speaker 2: or bought at stores. Have you eaten any wild caught
- 6:29Speaker 2: game meat such as venison or deer, wild turkey, bore, buffalo,
- 6:34Speaker 2: or duck in the past twelve months? So, according to
- 6:37Speaker 2: a twenty nineteen survey, what percentage of Americans eat game
- 6:42Speaker 2: meat at least once a year? This is why our
- 6:45Speaker 2: markers end up in the corner. This is why nobody's
- 6:47Speaker 2: wearing a headsets your four choices thirteen percent, twenty eight percent,
- 6:54Speaker 2: forty three percent, fifty eight percent. What percentage of Americans
- 7:01Speaker 2: eat game meat once a year? Thirteen percent, twenty eight percent,
- 7:05Speaker 2: forty three percent, fifty eight percent.
- 7:09Speaker 1: Here's the deal.
- 7:09Speaker 2: Well, just wait, do you get it wrong first? That's
- 7:17Speaker 2: a good line. So is everybody ready?
- 7:20Speaker 6: No?
- 7:22Speaker 2: Thirteen percent, twenty eight percent, forty three percent, fifty eight percent.
- 7:28Speaker 2: Percentage of Americans eat game meat at least once a year.
- 7:32Speaker 2: You're gonna have to argue with the NSSF.
- 7:35Speaker 1: Who you like.
- 7:35Speaker 5: No, it's not like I'm not arguing like I don't care,
- 7:38Speaker 5: you know.
- 7:39Speaker 1: Ah, it's not that got it wrong.
- 7:42Speaker 2: Yanni came up with an answer. Now he's thinking about
- 7:44Speaker 2: changing his answer. Be honest, it's not inclusive of fish
- 7:49Speaker 2: that I read you.
- 7:50Speaker 1: The question.
- 7:51Speaker 2: It said any wild caught game meat such as venison
- 7:54Speaker 2: or dear, wild turkey, boor buffalo, or duck, And it
- 7:58Speaker 2: says this is excluded. No, it's not including meat from
- 8:02Speaker 2: farm raised sources, ordered at restaurants, or bought at.
- 8:06Speaker 1: Can you read it again?
- 8:09Speaker 5: I got that, But the other fish is fish in there.
- 8:13Speaker 2: It does not list fish. Have you eaten any wild
- 8:16Speaker 2: caught game meat such as venison or deer, wild turkey, bore, buffalo,
- 8:21Speaker 2: or duck in the past twelve months? They asked over
- 8:25Speaker 2: three thousand Americans. This question is everybody ready? Would you
- 8:27Speaker 2: put down and you're honest thirteen thirteen, twenty eight, forty
- 8:32Speaker 2: three or fifty eight? Go ahead and reveal your answers.
- 8:35Speaker 2: Seth It says forty three, Steve twenty eight, Randall thirteen,
- 8:40Speaker 2: corey forty three, Yannis thirteen, Brody thirteen. Yes, I'm aware
- 8:47Speaker 2: the correct answer is forty three percent.
- 8:50Speaker 6: Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
- 8:52Speaker 9: There's one way that can't be True's the deal?
- 8:57Speaker 4: So one hundred and sixty million people in this country.
- 8:59Speaker 2: Eight game meet last year? No, that is what this
- 9:03Speaker 2: survey show made complete sense.
- 9:05Speaker 5: I knew it was gonna be something wacky because it's
- 9:07Speaker 5: coming from an advocacy group and not the hacker. It's
- 9:10Speaker 5: a great organization, but they're gonna want to put They're
- 9:13Speaker 5: gonna they're gonna be like, oh, look all of these
- 9:16Speaker 5: you know what I.
- 9:16Speaker 2: Mean, since you knew that information, you should just okay.
- 9:20Speaker 6: I just don't know how egregious it would be.
- 9:23Speaker 4: The population half the country eats game.
- 9:27Speaker 2: This data was collected by the National Booty.
- 9:30Speaker 5: Dude, you got practice some level of discretion about what
- 9:33Speaker 5: makes sense or not.
- 9:35Speaker 1: You could have all I could have.
- 9:36Speaker 5: I could host the show and find places that had
- 9:38Speaker 5: all kinds of wrong stuff and put it down.
- 9:40Speaker 2: Well done, Corey.
- 9:42Speaker 8: Seriously, I would like to know did they hire, like,
- 9:46Speaker 8: just name one of these polling companies professional.
- 9:50Speaker 2: They called people, They interviewed people in person.
- 9:56Speaker 8: So like when they got their list of people, was
- 9:58Speaker 8: it like all people like their universe?
- 10:00Speaker 2: Because that makes sense. I can't tell you that answer.
- 10:03Speaker 2: I would imagine no.
- 10:04Speaker 1: To that, dude.
- 10:05Speaker 6: You gotta practice a little like question.
- 10:08Speaker 2: That Midwesterners are the most likely to game meet, with
- 10:13Speaker 2: fifty five percent having done so in the last year.
- 10:16Speaker 2: That was the only region with more than fifty percent
- 10:18Speaker 2: of respondents who eat games.
- 10:20Speaker 6: I'm talking about eight million people in Manhattan.
- 10:24Speaker 7: Man, you.
- 10:27Speaker 2: A bunch of Steve got it wrong, Yanni got it wrong,
- 10:30Speaker 2: Brody got it wrong, and they are loud.
- 10:32Speaker 4: No, that's right, you're wrong.
- 10:35Speaker 2: Question to the topic is Bishop. This next great question
- 10:40Speaker 2: is there a god or a god? The next great
- 10:44Speaker 2: great question is being Nathan Trehillo.
- 10:46Speaker 7: I'll never know.
- 10:47Speaker 2: According to Mike, Ike and Nelly, the most common spinner
- 10:51Speaker 2: bait blades are Colorado, Indiana and this elongated blade that
- 10:56Speaker 2: isn't named after a state. Man, you got miner bait guy.
- 11:06Speaker 2: You guys haven't considered that could be wrong, and you
- 11:09Speaker 2: guys should get really mad at him.
- 11:10Speaker 3: Mike Ikenelly just announced his retirement.
- 11:14Speaker 2: He'd like he did.
- 11:16Speaker 5: My agent, My agent sold his book long ago.
- 11:20Speaker 2: It came holding a bass about this far from his face.
- 11:23Speaker 1: That was my that was my literal agents sold that book.
- 11:25Speaker 9: Seth was watching bass fishing tournaments pretty much through the
- 11:28Speaker 9: entirety of Radio Live Today.
- 11:30Speaker 2: According to Mike Ikennelly, common spinner bait blades are Colorado,
- 11:36Speaker 2: Indiana and this elongated blade that isn't named after a state.
- 11:42Speaker 1: Is a big one going on right now.
- 11:44Speaker 3: It's the first first series today Lake Gunnersville.
- 11:52Speaker 2: Name Brody thinks he has it right, Randall, do you
- 11:55Speaker 2: have it right?
- 11:56Speaker 7: I think I got it right. But after that first question,
- 12:00Speaker 7: who knows?
- 12:02Speaker 1: Corey?
- 12:02Speaker 2: Do you have this one right?
- 12:03Speaker 1: I got a really good guess.
- 12:05Speaker 2: Request for more fly fishing questions, So one hundred and
- 12:08Speaker 2: we're saying, like one hundred most common bait blades are
- 12:12Speaker 2: Colorado in this elongated that is estate. Here's you know
- 12:21Speaker 2: the folks at NSF and I know and I know.
- 12:25Speaker 5: That like with all the respect, I support the organization's mission,
- 12:29Speaker 5: But with all the respect, I think that that's a
- 12:30Speaker 5: propaganda piece.
- 12:31Speaker 1: There's no way that's true.
- 12:32Speaker 2: But knowing that, then you.
- 12:35Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know.
- 12:38Speaker 5: I'm not going to sit here and argue about this, okay, probably.
- 12:47Speaker 2: According to.
- 12:49Speaker 5: Paying myself in your corner, I've been called.
- 12:53Speaker 2: The bad boy of bass fishing. The most common spinner
- 12:56Speaker 2: bait blades are Colorado, Indiana and this elongated blade that
- 13:01Speaker 2: isn't named after a state.
- 13:02Speaker 7: You got to leave yourself away out, you know, in
- 13:05Speaker 7: case you do need to.
- 13:06Speaker 2: Argue, Yanni, do you like your answer? Not?
- 13:10Speaker 1: But I like.
- 13:14Speaker 2: That is everybody ready? I can't come go ahead? And
- 13:17Speaker 2: reveal your answer. Seth without an answer, Steve, what let's
- 13:20Speaker 2: say floater feather feather random willow jis skinny, Brodie willow.
- 13:29Speaker 2: The correct answer is a willow blade.
- 13:34Speaker 1: Gas.
- 13:35Speaker 2: Colorado blades are round and produce the most vibration, making
- 13:39Speaker 2: them the best choice for dirty water. Willow blades are
- 13:42Speaker 2: long and create more flash, which is ideal for clear water.
- 13:45Speaker 2: Indiana blades are tear drops shaped as a hybrid between
- 13:49Speaker 2: Colorado and willow, giving them a mix of vibration and flash.
- 13:53Speaker 2: Philm has a picture for you there of the three
- 13:56Speaker 2: different blade shapes.
- 13:59Speaker 4: His status as an angler.
- 14:00Speaker 1: In Don't see Me.
- 14:02Speaker 7: I could have given you both willow and Colorado.
- 14:04Speaker 2: Just argue for no reason, colorad these things.
- 14:08Speaker 8: But you know what I love more is when there's
- 14:11Speaker 8: one instead of that blade, there's one that has those
- 14:14Speaker 8: little turned wings.
- 14:15Speaker 1: And it's on the.
- 14:20Speaker 2: Question three. The topic is hunting double buzz bait. Cornell says,
- 14:24Speaker 2: this bird, which is named after its high pitched call,
- 14:28Speaker 2: looks like quote a miniature version of a Canada goose.
- 14:36Speaker 2: Brody and Steve going to their whiteboards. Cornell says, this bird,
- 14:41Speaker 2: which is named after its high pitched call, looks like
- 14:44Speaker 2: a miniature version of a Canada goose. Steve, you have
- 14:49Speaker 2: this one right? That's nothing, Brody, do you have.
- 14:53Speaker 1: This one yesterday? Well no, he said he would have
- 14:56Speaker 1: given it to you anyway. Yeah.
- 14:58Speaker 4: I mean I feel pretty good about it popped right
- 15:00Speaker 4: into my head, which is usually a good thing.
- 15:02Speaker 2: Do you think Giannis should know this one?
- 15:04Speaker 1: He struggling.
- 15:06Speaker 4: Dude, Yeah, but sometimes Janni's just think thanks, thanks, casually
- 15:11Speaker 4: writes the answer down.
- 15:14Speaker 1: I'm more.
- 15:16Speaker 8: It's something that popped right into my head, but I
- 15:17Speaker 8: don't know if it's right.
- 15:18Speaker 2: This bird, which is named after its high pitched call,
- 15:21Speaker 2: looks like a miniature version of the Canada goose.
- 15:26Speaker 1: Just put down the little teeny goose.
- 15:28Speaker 2: Brody, making a change after being the first one, was answer.
- 15:36Speaker 5: Rand hear me have the right side of his board
- 15:38Speaker 5: facing out?
- 15:39Speaker 1: I got a double sided board.
- 15:43Speaker 2: That's cool, Randall, do you have a chance of getting
- 15:46Speaker 2: this one?
- 15:49Speaker 1: That's good? Let's do it.
- 15:50Speaker 7: Hold on, I think I have a burden named after
- 15:54Speaker 7: a noise.
- 15:55Speaker 2: Cordell says, this birds just named after looks like a
- 16:02Speaker 2: miniature version of a Canada goose.
- 16:05Speaker 7: I have something else in my head, but I can't
- 16:07Speaker 7: put a name to it.
- 16:08Speaker 2: I know, Corey, do you have this one?
- 16:12Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 16:12Speaker 2: I got an answer that if I think if you
- 16:14Speaker 2: looked at this bird with your eyes squinting really hard,
- 16:16Speaker 2: it looked like a Johanni.
- 16:18Speaker 1: Do you have an answer?
- 16:19Speaker 5: Don't really don't.
- 16:22Speaker 2: He got the first six right, Yes, dragon, And now
- 16:26Speaker 2: you may start over here.
- 16:28Speaker 1: Listen, you're gonna have a time where you're gonna need
- 16:31Speaker 1: some time.
- 16:31Speaker 2: Go ahead and reveal your answers. Seth says cackler, Steve says,
- 16:37Speaker 2: cackling goose says warbler, Corey says chickadee, Johnny chickadee. Brody
- 16:44Speaker 2: says cackling goose. The correct answer is the cackling goose.
- 16:48Speaker 2: Will give it to Seth for saying cackler, even though
- 16:50Speaker 2: he spelled it with a K instead of those are
- 16:53Speaker 2: the ones that make a louder cackle. Cackling geese used
- 16:57Speaker 2: to be considered a subspecies of Canada geese, but we're
- 17:00Speaker 2: split from each other. In two thousand and four, that's
- 17:02Speaker 2: when the American Ornithologist Union took the four smallest subspecies
- 17:07Speaker 2: of Canada goose and determined that they're that they're their
- 17:10Speaker 2: own species. The smallest subspecies of cackling geese is about
- 17:14Speaker 2: one quarter the size of the biggest subspecies of Canada geese.
- 17:20Speaker 2: What's the spread ratio one the smallest cackler is twenty
- 17:24Speaker 2: five percent the size of the biggest Canada. Sometimes you'll
- 17:27Speaker 2: see a cackler in with can and you'll know it
- 17:30Speaker 2: right away.
- 17:31Speaker 1: Everybody's real exciting.
- 17:32Speaker 5: You think everybody wants to get the bigger one, but
- 17:33Speaker 5: everyone wants to get the smaller one.
- 17:35Speaker 4: What is it like a four pounder compared to like.
- 17:40Speaker 1: It looks like like a moscobe doc? I guess size?
- 17:43Speaker 2: You know, like a Mallard. Question for the topic is conservation.
- 17:48Speaker 2: This next great question is via gabe nomen. This biblical
- 17:53Speaker 2: word is defined as quote a species or group of
- 17:57Speaker 2: organisms that reappears after being presumed extinct. Steve has his
- 18:05Speaker 2: answer locked in. Brody and Randall think they might know it.
- 18:10Speaker 2: Now Randall is joining him. This biblical word is defined
- 18:13Speaker 2: as a species or group of organisms that reappears after
- 18:18Speaker 2: being presumed extinct.
- 18:20Speaker 7: I had to flip through the scripture a little bit.
- 18:25Speaker 2: Control.
- 18:27Speaker 1: I was looking for.
- 18:33Speaker 2: Randall and Steve, the only confident players on this one.
- 18:35Speaker 2: This biblical word is defined as a species or group
- 18:39Speaker 2: of organisms that reappears after being presumed.
- 18:43Speaker 1: I can't believe you haven't done this one yet.
- 18:46Speaker 2: Sometimes for the tournament, if I think of a question
- 18:50Speaker 2: that I think is good enough, I'll hold it off.
- 18:51Speaker 2: I'll put in a separate pile for the tournament. Yes,
- 18:56Speaker 2: that's right, So this is a good one. This biblical
- 19:00Speaker 2: word is he find as a species or group of
- 19:02Speaker 2: organisms that reappears after being presumed extinct. We may have
- 19:06Speaker 2: four players with blank whiteboards on this one. They don't
- 19:10Speaker 2: know their biology, they don't know their Bible.
- 19:13Speaker 7: Are you gonna grow your beard back over the weekend?
- 19:16Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm going for a perfect five o'clock shadow by
- 19:18Speaker 5: Friday and six o'clock.
- 19:20Speaker 1: It's really good me. Yeah, it's not bad.
- 19:24Speaker 7: It's just like it's unsettling, Like, who's this Guy's.
- 19:29Speaker 2: Got a costume contest this weekend to shave for. Yeah,
- 19:33Speaker 2: there isn't a winner for best costume, but everybody dresses up. Okay,
- 19:37Speaker 2: we read Corey is gonna.
- 19:38Speaker 8: Be Steve's ready, He's gonna be.
- 19:42Speaker 7: He's gonna be Tom Hanks from the leak of their own.
- 19:44Speaker 2: Wow, good guess, Brody, do you have this one?
- 19:49Speaker 7: It's good excuse to get sloppy drunk, so you're in character.
- 19:54Speaker 2: Let's just be honest.
- 19:55Speaker 1: We're like, these guys are over here talking about all
- 19:57Speaker 1: kinds of stuff. Let's just put her up.
- 20:00Speaker 2: Yanni, are you ready? Go ahead and reveal your answer.
- 20:04Speaker 2: Not an answer. Steve and Randall say Lazarus. Cordy says miracle,
- 20:10Speaker 2: Jannis says Judas. Jerodi he betrayed Christ is the wrong one.
- 20:15Speaker 2: The correct answer is a Lazarus species, a Judas species.
- 20:20Speaker 2: That day they tell, Okay, yeah, yeah. There are about
- 20:25Speaker 2: three hundred and fifty organisms that have been raised from
- 20:28Speaker 2: the dead and are considered Lazarus species. The most dramatic
- 20:32Speaker 2: example is the selacanth, which scientists thought when extinct sixty
- 20:36Speaker 2: six million years ago during the same event that killed
- 20:38Speaker 2: the dinosaurs. The West Indian species was discovered at a
- 20:42Speaker 2: South African fish market in nineteen thirty eight, and a
- 20:45Speaker 2: second species was found at an Indonesian fish market in
- 20:49Speaker 2: nineteen ninety seven. A few hundred West Indian selacanth have
- 20:52Speaker 2: been observed since then, while only a dozen Indonesian selacanth
- 20:57Speaker 2: have been seen in the last thirty years.
- 20:59Speaker 1: The usual you know what to use those scales for
- 21:01Speaker 1: what the guys saw.
- 21:04Speaker 5: There's there's a story about someone trying to find those,
- 21:07Speaker 5: and you know, in tire shops in West Africa, like
- 21:10Speaker 5: guys that repair bike tires, when you gotta scruff the
- 21:14Speaker 5: tire rubber up, they'll use that, you know, like like
- 21:16Speaker 5: if you fix a tire kit that tin lid sure
- 21:19Speaker 5: has the rasp on the lid, They'll use that scale
- 21:23Speaker 5: to rasp.
- 21:25Speaker 1: Rubber tubing, throw a patch.
- 21:29Speaker 2: I got the right scales for that job. If you
- 21:31Speaker 2: want to see a Ceila cants, Phil is showing us
- 21:32Speaker 2: a photo right now. You can go to the Media
- 21:34Speaker 2: to Podcast YouTube channel to watch this episode.
- 21:36Speaker 9: I always thought the whole knowledge of Cela cants and
- 21:40Speaker 9: my interest in them was just ruined by that Volkswagen commercial.
- 21:45Speaker 9: Explain there's the whole commercial where the guy explains that
- 21:48Speaker 9: Ceila cants were thought to be extinct and they found one. Yeah,
- 21:52Speaker 9: it's it's in reference to a full size spare tire.
- 21:55Speaker 1: Hm.
- 21:57Speaker 7: It was like a Super Bowl commercial.
- 21:58Speaker 2: Okay, I don't like commerci is that ruined songs for me?
- 22:01Speaker 2: A song I really like and then it puts that
- 22:03Speaker 2: song in there.
- 22:04Speaker 7: I don't like that this ruined ceils for me, which
- 22:07Speaker 7: is harder to do.
- 22:08Speaker 1: But they did it.
- 22:10Speaker 2: Question five, the topic is public lands. America's thirty fourth
- 22:15Speaker 2: tallest mountain, Mount Shasta, is located in this state. Okay,
- 22:21Speaker 2: we will be halfway through the trivia tournament after this question,
- 22:25Speaker 2: and Phil will give us a scoreboard update. America's thirty
- 22:28Speaker 2: fourth tallest mountain, Mount Shasta is located in this state.
- 22:33Speaker 2: Steve and Giannis and Randall and Corey and Brody all
- 22:36Speaker 2: have their answers.
- 22:37Speaker 1: So this is this is the one from the keeper pile.
- 22:40Speaker 2: This is from the keeper pile. That's right. Well, see
- 22:42Speaker 2: how well you guys know your mountains? Seth Do you
- 22:45Speaker 2: like your answer?
- 22:47Speaker 1: I have no clue.
- 22:49Speaker 2: Does it seem like a place that could have America's
- 22:51Speaker 2: thirty fourth tallest mountain.
- 22:52Speaker 4: Seems like anywhere could have the thirty fourth tallest.
- 22:56Speaker 2: Mountain, Mount Shasta. It's located in this state. Is everybody ready?
- 23:05Speaker 2: Go ahead and reveal your answers. Sat says Colorado, Steve
- 23:09Speaker 2: oh and Corey Indianadi. You say California. The correct answer
- 23:14Speaker 2: is California. At fourteen thy, one hundred and seventy nine
- 23:18Speaker 2: feet tall, Mount Shasta is the second highest peak in
- 23:22Speaker 2: the Cascades and fifth highest in California. It is located
- 23:26Speaker 2: inside the Shasta Trinity National Forest, invisible from one hundred
- 23:30Speaker 2: and fifty miles away. It holds the US record for
- 23:33Speaker 2: most snowfall during a single storm, when it received sixteen
- 23:36Speaker 2: feet of snow during a nineteen fifty nine blizzard that
- 23:39Speaker 2: lasted seven days.
- 23:40Speaker 1: That's tough.
- 23:41Speaker 2: That'll get the hippies going sixteen feet of six ski
- 23:45Speaker 2: Phil give us a scoreboard update. We are through question
- 23:47Speaker 2: fifteen thirty. Question I'm not looking.
- 23:52Speaker 3: You can tell who's happening with the scoreboard right now,
- 23:55Speaker 3: but we'll get everyone else verse.
- 23:56Speaker 1: Corey has losses points, Dude.
- 24:00Speaker 3: Giannis and Randall are all tied up with eight. Brody
- 24:03Speaker 3: has nine and in first place double digits. Stephen Ranella
- 24:07Speaker 3: has ten points.
- 24:08Speaker 2: Anybody's game boys eight points? Well done, Seth thanks me
- 24:12Speaker 2: two points.
- 24:15Speaker 6: He hasn't even writing anything down over there.
- 24:19Speaker 2: He's preserving his knowledge for future questions when he does that.
- 24:23Speaker 2: Doesn't need to use the energy.
- 24:24Speaker 1: Yeah, not worth it.
- 24:27Speaker 2: Question six The topic is woodsmanship. This next great question
- 24:30Speaker 2: is via Scott Bluing. This porous six letter rock is
- 24:35Speaker 2: lightweight and has trapped pockets of gas that allow it
- 24:39Speaker 2: to float in water. Get out of here, Steven Randall
- 24:44Speaker 2: have their answers. This porous six letter rock is lightweight
- 24:49Speaker 2: and has trapped pockets of gas that allow it to
- 24:53Speaker 2: float in water. Woodsmanship, someone who has a lot of
- 24:58Speaker 2: woodsmanship would know this one.
- 25:01Speaker 1: It's like, it's like some of rockmanship.
- 25:04Speaker 2: That's right now, Steve ass before we recorded why Nate
- 25:09Speaker 2: isn't here, Nate couldn't make it to today's episode. So
- 25:12Speaker 2: he just got kicked out of the whole dang tournament.
- 25:15Speaker 5: So yeah, so it's one of it's like an invitation.
- 25:16Speaker 5: It's invitation. He was in a tournament for like the losers.
- 25:20Speaker 2: We've done it. We've done a Jabbroni tournament in the past.
- 25:23Speaker 2: Which Corey, were you the Jabbroni champion?
- 25:25Speaker 1: That's right, well then you earned you earned a seat
- 25:28Speaker 1: at the invitation.
- 25:28Speaker 2: Sure, he's the King Jabbroni. He has the Jabbroni trophy
- 25:31Speaker 2: in his office. Sho come out and check it out again.
- 25:35Speaker 2: We're on question six. The topic is woodsmanship. This porous
- 25:39Speaker 2: six letter rock is lightweight and has trapped pockets of
- 25:43Speaker 2: gas that allow it to float in water. Brody. Do
- 25:46Speaker 2: you have this one right?
- 25:47Speaker 5: I do.
- 25:47Speaker 2: Okay, he's gonna keep pace with Steve.
- 25:50Speaker 7: What were the questions? What questions did we do?
- 25:52Speaker 2: Already you're getting beat by me though you won topics
- 25:56Speaker 2: Cela camf We'll do a correct answer review at the Yeah,
- 26:00Speaker 2: well that's satisfying. Yeah.
- 26:01Speaker 7: Question about those fish, it was the Lazarus species.
- 26:06Speaker 2: A good question.
- 26:08Speaker 7: I just feel like I've gotten you.
- 26:09Speaker 1: No.
- 26:09Speaker 5: I think that might have been the first time in
- 26:10Speaker 5: my life I've ever heard that word pronounced.
- 26:13Speaker 2: Oh well, I hope I got it right. Yeah, it's
- 26:16Speaker 2: a tricky one to spell. That's why you shouldn't try
- 26:18Speaker 2: to google it. If you want to see it, just
- 26:20Speaker 2: go to the media to podcast YouTube channel and Phil
- 26:22Speaker 2: will show you.
- 26:23Speaker 7: Or go to YouTube and type in commercial.
- 26:27Speaker 2: When when did this air?
- 26:28Speaker 1: You think.
- 26:31Speaker 7: Probably fifteen years ago.
- 26:33Speaker 2: We're really giving you all this episode. I imagine if
- 26:39Speaker 2: you didn't know this one off the bat, you're just
- 26:41Speaker 2: not going to come. But sometimes something will come to you.
- 26:43Speaker 3: Let's just come up, Randall, you've gotten five or three
- 26:46Speaker 3: correct answers this game so far.
- 26:49Speaker 2: Cory, do you give up? I mean I got Okay,
- 26:52Speaker 2: go ahead and reveal your answers set without an answer.
- 26:55Speaker 2: Steve and Randall's say pummis. Corey says volcanic. Volcanic, Yeah, honest.
- 27:01Speaker 2: Without an answer, Brodie says pumis. The correct answer is pummit.
- 27:07Speaker 5: I bet his score probably just jumped, right, they climbed
- 27:10Speaker 5: another point.
- 27:11Speaker 1: Yeah, that's what I was having trouble is that?
- 27:12Speaker 6: Are you complaining?
- 27:15Speaker 2: No? No. Pummas is a volcanic rock that's formed when
- 27:19Speaker 2: megma quickly cools after an eruption. The trapped gas bubbles
- 27:23Speaker 2: are called vesicles, which give it a density lower than water.
- 27:27Speaker 2: This allows pumas to float, sometimes for years before they
- 27:30Speaker 2: become water logged and sink. Pumas is commonly used in
- 27:33Speaker 2: household products for skin care, cleaning, and polishing, including agents
- 27:37Speaker 2: that are used on gun barrels and bullets.
- 27:40Speaker 5: Yeah, and you're like, like old ladies would.
- 27:44Speaker 2: Okay, I didn't know about that. One good extra flavor
- 27:47Speaker 2: text for that purpose used question seven. The topic is hunting.
- 27:55Speaker 2: This form with a four digit name is what you
- 27:58Speaker 2: fill out for the at F when buying a firearm
- 28:01Speaker 2: from a gun dealer. Randall already has his answer. This
- 28:06Speaker 2: form with a four digit name is what you fill
- 28:09Speaker 2: out for the ATF when buying a firearm from a
- 28:13Speaker 2: gun dealer.
- 28:14Speaker 7: Now that's a question.
- 28:16Speaker 2: Steve declared, he's not going to get this one.
- 28:19Speaker 3: Remember specifically cutting out questions excluding wait.
- 28:26Speaker 7: They actually referenced a form on.
- 28:32Speaker 8: That's the form.
- 28:33Speaker 7: No, but it's quite close if you remember reference this one.
- 28:37Speaker 2: I know that form, but I don't know what digital
- 28:42Speaker 2: Where was this form referenced that.
- 28:43Speaker 7: Radio hundred We would one hundred and six minutes.
- 28:48Speaker 2: So I did check in at one point at like
- 28:51Speaker 2: ninety minutes, and you guys were still going.
- 28:52Speaker 7: I was like, oh the hell an episode.
- 28:54Speaker 2: I was working on the script yet, just making sure
- 28:57Speaker 2: everything was polished. Again, all these questions were fact checked
- 28:59Speaker 2: by our yankee.
- 29:01Speaker 9: We had two interviews that went an hour, like, I
- 29:04Speaker 9: mean combined. Okay, if we were an hour in and
- 29:06Speaker 9: we hadn't gotten to any of our non interview.
- 29:08Speaker 2: Material, strong episode. This form with a four digit name
- 29:13Speaker 2: is what you fill out for the ATF when buying
- 29:16Speaker 2: a firearm from a go. Everybody in this room has
- 29:19Speaker 2: filled it out at least times. Anyone besides Randall confident
- 29:23Speaker 2: in their answer.
- 29:24Speaker 7: No, No, okay, I know that I'm nervous.
- 29:29Speaker 1: I know that I'm one.
- 29:30Speaker 8: Well, according to Randall, I'm one digit off, and if
- 29:33Speaker 8: I chose the right change, then wait a minute, because
- 29:39Speaker 8: we talked about are you not paying attention? We talked
- 29:42Speaker 8: about another form there was referenced in Media Radio Live
- 29:46Speaker 8: about three hours.
- 29:47Speaker 4: Ago, and Randall told you you were one.
- 29:50Speaker 2: Randall did not say that. He didn't say your one
- 29:52Speaker 2: digit off.
- 29:53Speaker 8: Just to be He said it was very close.
- 29:55Speaker 2: He said it was close. But is everybody ready? Go
- 29:59Speaker 2: ahead and reveal your answer.
- 30:01Speaker 10: Set says seventeen seventy six, Steve says ten thirty two,
- 30:06Speaker 10: Randal forty four to seventy three, Coty ten forty four,
- 30:10Speaker 10: Giannis forty four fifty six, Brody ten sixty.
- 30:15Speaker 2: Randall got it. It's a forty four to seventy three.
- 30:18Speaker 1: Oh good job. I wasn't gonna get that one.
- 30:21Speaker 2: The forty four to seventy three is a seven page
- 30:24Speaker 2: document that has information regarding the seller, buyer end gun.
- 30:28Speaker 2: About seventy thousand gun transactions are denied during this process
- 30:32Speaker 2: every year, but only a couple dozen ever result in prosecutions.
- 30:36Speaker 2: Hunter Biden was famously charged for lying on a forty
- 30:39Speaker 2: four to seventy three when he purchased a cult revolver.
- 30:42Speaker 2: In twenty eighteen, he answered no to the question that
- 30:45Speaker 2: asks if you're addicted to drugs, and then admitted in
- 30:48Speaker 2: his twenty twenty one biography that he uses crack cocaine.
- 30:52Speaker 2: This resulted in a twenty twenty four conviction of three
- 30:55Speaker 2: federal gun violations.
- 30:57Speaker 1: Well, then the story.
- 31:00Speaker 2: And the story.
- 31:01Speaker 5: Then his old man pardoned him.
- 31:03Speaker 2: Oh well, it was good timing. Twenty four.
- 31:08Speaker 5: The presidential pardon is a is a national embarrassment. Huh,
- 31:11Speaker 5: I don't care. It should the whole thing should go away.
- 31:16Speaker 5: There you go, it's a national embarrassment. I can't think
- 31:19Speaker 5: when was the last time someone got pardoned. And you're like, well,
- 31:21Speaker 5: that sounds like a good idea.
- 31:23Speaker 2: I think they should get rid of it right after
- 31:25Speaker 2: the Tiger King gets out, and then yeah, there you go.
- 31:29Speaker 2: Question eight. The topic is public lands. You can still
- 31:33Speaker 2: see wheel ruts on the Oregon National Historic Trail from
- 31:37Speaker 2: this nine letter wagon that was known for its curved
- 31:40Speaker 2: floor and white canvas cover. Randall has his answer. At first,
- 31:48Speaker 2: he thought you were answer.
- 31:49Speaker 7: At first, I thought you were asking for that park,
- 31:51Speaker 7: and I.
- 31:51Speaker 1: Was m I was gonna get that right.
- 31:55Speaker 2: Question eight we will get a scoreboard up date.
- 31:59Speaker 1: Fasal expression, Brody, it's not good.
- 32:02Speaker 2: You can still see the wheel ruts on the Oregon
- 32:06Speaker 2: National Historic Trail from this nine letter wagon that was
- 32:10Speaker 2: known for its curved floor and white canvas cover.
- 32:15Speaker 6: The irony.
- 32:18Speaker 2: Doesn't want to get political.
- 32:20Speaker 1: Yeah, no, I'm not gonna even say it.
- 32:23Speaker 2: No, go ahead, Zeth. Do you have this one right?
- 32:27Speaker 1: I think so?
- 32:27Speaker 2: Okay, half of our table.
- 32:29Speaker 5: The irony of a pro gun control president pardoning someone
- 32:32Speaker 5: for a gun violation, it's just it's like, but I'm
- 32:35Speaker 5: not using this to condemn the individual. Sure, I'm using
- 32:37Speaker 5: this like the presidential pardon is just a national embarrassment.
- 32:41Speaker 5: There's probably some great president in the bass, like the
- 32:43Speaker 5: real but back when we had like like great presidents,
- 32:47Speaker 5: you know, like Washington and stuff, there's probably some guy
- 32:50Speaker 5: in the past.
- 32:51Speaker 2: That used it like like nobly sure.
- 32:55Speaker 1: President, Yeah, it's an national embarrassment. If I was president,
- 33:00Speaker 1: I would pardon ship.
- 33:02Speaker 6: I don't care who asked.
- 33:03Speaker 7: I think you should only get one pardon too.
- 33:06Speaker 9: There was someone recently who the goal got partoned and
- 33:11Speaker 9: Trump won for some fraud, and they committed fraud again
- 33:13Speaker 9: and got convicted again, and then they got a second
- 33:16Speaker 9: part in this time around.
- 33:17Speaker 5: Seriously, yeah, Biden partoned four thousand people.
- 33:21Speaker 1: Well was auto pen Listen. Trump's pardons are ridiculous.
- 33:30Speaker 5: All this talk, all this talk about like, oh, committing fraud,
- 33:33Speaker 5: committing fraud.
- 33:34Speaker 6: They keep partning fraudsters.
- 33:36Speaker 2: From this nine letter wagon that was known for its
- 33:39Speaker 2: curved floor.
- 33:40Speaker 6: And nations cover the idea, what's the national embarrassment?
- 33:44Speaker 1: I'd be like, I know that one the presidential part.
- 33:48Speaker 2: We'll do a new segment on media radio. It's called
- 33:51Speaker 2: not to get political, it's just politics.
- 33:54Speaker 3: I like the idea of there being one pardon and
- 33:56Speaker 3: then it could be like the decision where everyone gathers around.
- 33:59Speaker 1: Yeah, you vote, gotta come to a room.
- 34:03Speaker 2: Did you come up with the right answer? Sounds like
- 34:05Speaker 2: great entertainment, and then you give a speech.
- 34:08Speaker 1: I'll produce that.
- 34:10Speaker 9: I do think like there is some you could find
- 34:13Speaker 9: some bipartisan If there's one thing we should come together
- 34:15Speaker 9: and agree upon, it's that pardons with with a few exceptions,
- 34:22Speaker 9: I'm sure pardons buy and large. Nobody likes it. They're
- 34:25Speaker 9: just it's just whoever is in office. Nobody likes the
- 34:28Speaker 9: pardon on that side.
- 34:29Speaker 7: And then the next year. Nobody likes the pardons on that.
- 34:32Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying.
- 34:32Speaker 5: When I say I don't want to get political, what
- 34:34Speaker 5: I mean is I don't like that Biden abused it
- 34:36Speaker 5: and Trump doesn't abuse it.
- 34:37Speaker 1: I mean, it's just like it's just abused.
- 34:40Speaker 5: And if I was president in honesty, I'd be like,
- 34:42Speaker 5: I'm going to pardon people I like.
- 34:46Speaker 1: I mean, it's too tempting.
- 34:48Speaker 2: That's one too many.
- 34:50Speaker 1: I'm the pardon people that pay me money.
- 34:55Speaker 2: On question it, you can still see wheel rots on
- 34:58Speaker 2: the Oregon National Historic from this nine letter wagon, known
- 35:03Speaker 2: for its curved floor and white canvas colors, white canvas covers.
- 35:07Speaker 2: Everybody ready, go ahead.
- 35:10Speaker 10: And reveal your answers, Steve and Randall saying connistoge.
- 35:23Speaker 1: Cover answer, that's agreed.
- 35:27Speaker 5: You should patent that because when they come out with
- 35:29Speaker 5: a electric car electric the Volts Wagon.
- 35:34Speaker 2: The correct answer is the con Stoga. But Corey, it's
- 35:37Speaker 2: not as dumb as it seems, because there was a
- 35:38Speaker 2: Studebaker wagon which inspired the name for the future automobile,
- 35:43Speaker 2: the Studi Baker Stog.
- 35:45Speaker 5: That comes from contam So how do you we all
- 35:48Speaker 5: spelled it differently?
- 35:49Speaker 1: What's the right c O N E.
- 35:52Speaker 9: S T.
- 35:55Speaker 2: Yeah, the massive con was the largest vehicle that graveled
- 36:00Speaker 2: the Oregon Trail. At eighteen feet long and seventeen feet high,
- 36:04Speaker 2: the five ton wagon required up to a dozen horses
- 36:08Speaker 2: or half a dozen oxen to pull it. Unlike its
- 36:11Speaker 2: depiction in the Oregon Trail video game, the Conastoga was
- 36:14Speaker 2: used to move freights, not families, across the country. And
- 36:17Speaker 2: Phil has a photo of some of those wheel ruts
- 36:20Speaker 2: that's in southeast Wyoming. There called the Conestoga wagon on
- 36:25Speaker 2: the Oregon Trail.
- 36:26Speaker 1: Yeah, I think there's some near the photo.
- 36:31Speaker 2: No photo of the wagon. I think you could use
- 36:32Speaker 2: your imagination to see the Conestoga. Phil, please give us
- 36:35Speaker 2: a scoreboard update. We have two questions left in round two.
- 36:39Speaker 3: I didn't hear Brody's answer.
- 36:41Speaker 1: I did not get it.
- 36:42Speaker 3: Sorry, I hate I hate doing that. But well, looks
- 36:48Speaker 3: like Steve's put some distance between himself and.
