Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Hutton and Withrow presented by Hard Rock Bets. Clay Travis Law.
- 0:05Speaker 1: I've got to tell you about Clay Travis Law because
- 0:07Speaker 1: accidents don't wait for a great time. One bad moment,
- 0:10Speaker 1: a wreck, a fall, a doctor who wasn't paying attention.
- 0:13Speaker 1: Suddenly you're fighting an insurance company that does this every
- 0:16Speaker 1: single day. They're used to this. And that's why Clay
- 0:18Speaker 1: started Clay Travis Law. He's a Vanderbilt Law grad. He
- 0:21Speaker 1: built a firm around the idea that people deserve someone
- 0:23Speaker 1: willing to pay attention and ask the hard questions. Push
- 0:26Speaker 1: back when things don't add up. experienced trial attorneys on
- 0:29Speaker 1: your side. They bring the fight to corporations and insurers
- 0:31Speaker 1: based in Nashville and trusted across the country.
- 0:34Speaker 2: Car and truck wrecks, rideshare accidents, medical malpractice, premises liability,
- 0:38Speaker 2: product liability. If you were wrong, they want to hear
- 0:40Speaker 2: about it. Here's what they promise.
- 0:42Speaker 3: Honesty.
- 0:42Speaker 2: They don't sugarcoat your case. You'll hear what it's actually worth,
- 0:45Speaker 2: not what you want to hear. The case evaluation is free.
- 0:48Speaker 2: No charge, no pressure, no hassle. Just tell them your story.
- 0:50Speaker 2: Go to claytravislaw.com or call 877-222-4444. That's claytravislaw.com. No case
- 0:58Speaker 2: is too big or too small. Hutton, the YouTube chat
- 1:01Speaker 2: is blowing up. Tipping advice, what to do. Mark is
- 1:07Speaker 2: saying you should look someone right in the eyes, our
- 1:09Speaker 2: guy Mark, and just put zero down.
- 1:13Speaker 3: As the tip.
- 1:13Speaker 2: Jay Carey has the quote. It's going to ask you
- 1:17Speaker 2: a question as they tell you, as they turn it
- 1:19Speaker 2: towards you every time. Mark correctly brings up, it's not
- 1:23Speaker 2: multiple questions. It's one question. Every time when this is
- 1:26Speaker 2: going to ask you a couple of questions, that question
- 1:28Speaker 2: is about the tip. So people have lots of thoughts
- 1:30Speaker 2: on the tip.
- 1:33Speaker 3: I would.
- 1:33Speaker 1: Yeah, this is I've jotted down something for primary complaint
- 1:36Speaker 1: next week based on this conversation. But the complaint within
- 1:40Speaker 1: the tipping complaint is a good one. Chad, I don't
- 1:44Speaker 1: have any complaints about Shane Beamer as as a coach
- 1:47Speaker 1: or a person. In fact, I root for him. I'm
- 1:50Speaker 1: not ashamed to say that. Like, I like the guy.
- 1:52Speaker 1: I really do. He's always been able and a bit
- 1:54Speaker 1: available for our show. His players collectively came back and
- 1:59Speaker 1: wanted to play another year with him or for another
- 2:02Speaker 1: year with him. I like that aspect, too. That's rare,
- 2:05Speaker 1: you know, instead of scattering all over the country and
- 2:08Speaker 1: trying to, you know, let me be blunt, go win
- 2:12Speaker 1: instead of face the pressure of having to win a
- 2:16Speaker 1: game or two to keep your coach's job. And let
- 2:19Speaker 1: me end it by saying I don't think he's going
- 2:20Speaker 1: to keep his job.
- 2:21Speaker 4: I don't.
- 2:22Speaker 1: At South Carolina. But I'm rooting for him to do so.
- 2:26Speaker 1: But games like this past weekend are reasons why he won't.
- 2:30Speaker 2: Yeah, and he was asked about the hangover effect of
- 2:34Speaker 2: that game. The one thing about Shane Beamer I'll say,
- 2:36Speaker 2: and I like the guy a lot too, he pretends
- 2:39Speaker 2: to not look at his phone and not know what's
- 2:42Speaker 2: being said. about certain things while clearly looking at his
- 2:46Speaker 2: phone and paying attention to what's being said on social media.
- 2:49Speaker 2: Because at one point, and I don't think we're going
- 2:51Speaker 2: to hear it in this clip, but he even talked about, oh,
- 2:53Speaker 2: I haven't looked at my phone, but I know my
- 2:54Speaker 2: guys have seen a lot of talk about the season
- 2:57Speaker 2: being over because we lost this one game.
- 2:59Speaker 1: And he's admitted that his son will tell him what
- 3:00Speaker 1: kids are talking about at school. So he knows the talk.
- 3:04Speaker 2: So here was Shane Beamer talking about the loss to
- 3:06Speaker 2: Mississippi State and how South Carolina is going to move forward.
- 3:10Speaker 4: What's kind of the main message heading into Saturday.
- 3:13Speaker 5: To the team?
- 3:14Speaker 1: Got to respond. I mean, we've got a loss.
- 3:17Speaker 4: Texas A & M has a loss in the SEC.
- 3:20Speaker 4: I don't think they're just packing up their stuff and
- 3:24Speaker 4: calling it a season. LSU's got a loss in the SEC.
- 3:28Speaker 4: Auburn's got a loss in the SEC. I think there's
- 3:30Speaker 4: five teams that haven't played a game in the SEC, Mingo,
- 3:33Speaker 4: so we have a loss. So that's the message is
- 3:37Speaker 4: we lost a football game. And now we've got nine left.
- 3:40Speaker 4: We've got 25% of the season that we've played. I
- 3:44Speaker 4: don't like being two and one. We've got 75% of
- 3:48Speaker 4: the regular season left.
- 3:50Speaker 3: And let's go play football.
- 3:52Speaker 4: And if you've got a competitive bone in your body,
- 3:54Speaker 4: that's not a problem.
- 3:55Speaker 5: Like we've moved on.
- 3:56Speaker 4: I mean, in this building, like we've moved on. Saturday sucked.
- 4:01Speaker 4: We're not going to sit around and feel sorry for ourselves.
- 4:03Speaker 4: Like that's life, guys.
- 4:05Speaker 5: Stuff happens. And we've moved on.
- 4:07Speaker 4: And everybody else can talk about what does that look
- 4:09Speaker 4: like and how are the comparisons to 26 and 25
- 4:12Speaker 4: and 24 and what are you telling your team? I
- 4:14Speaker 4: ain't got to tell my team anything. We go respond
- 4:17Speaker 4: and we go back to work. That's what we've done
- 4:19Speaker 4: this week and love the response so far. Now we
- 4:22Speaker 4: got to go play well.
- 4:23Speaker 5: And guess what?
- 4:24Speaker 3: It's called sports.
- 4:26Speaker 4: They may play better and coach better than us Saturday
- 4:28Speaker 4: night and they may win the football game and we'll
- 4:30Speaker 4: come back in here on Sunday and get right back
- 4:32Speaker 4: to work again because that's what life in the SEC is.
- 4:37Speaker 4: I mean, Alabama, I just talked about them last year.
- 4:39Speaker 4: Notre Dame lost to Northern Illinois two years ago. They
- 4:42Speaker 4: didn't shut down the program and blow everything up. They
- 4:45Speaker 4: responded and they went and played for the national championship
- 4:47Speaker 4: game in the same season.
- 4:48Speaker 3: So that's how, that's easy.
- 4:50Speaker 4: That's the message.
- 4:54Speaker 3: I love that. And he's right.
- 4:56Speaker 2: I mean, if you're inside of it, Hutton, and you've
- 4:58Speaker 2: been inside of NFL locker rooms and around teams, like
- 5:01Speaker 2: the way the outside public responds or even media responds
- 5:06Speaker 2: to a disappointing moment or a loss is often way different,
- 5:10Speaker 2: especially from the teams that are about the right things.
- 5:12Speaker 2: It is you get up, you go back to work,
- 5:15Speaker 2: you start to think about the next game and worry
- 5:17Speaker 2: about what you can do moving forward. You don't have
- 5:19Speaker 2: time to sit around and wallow. No one's going to
- 5:21Speaker 2: feel sorry for you is what he's saying. No one's
- 5:24Speaker 2: feeling sorry for A & M and LSU either. They
- 5:27Speaker 2: lost a game. They're going to have to rally and
- 5:30Speaker 2: try to win more games, and there's a lot of
- 5:31Speaker 2: the season still left. I love what Shane Beamer had
- 5:34Speaker 2: to say, and he's right. I mean, it is sports.
- 5:37Speaker 2: There are times where the other team is just better,
- 5:39Speaker 2: or there are times where you go down and you
- 5:42Speaker 2: piss down your leg in a game, and you're going
- 5:44Speaker 2: to lose, or they're going to out-coach you and out-play you.
- 5:47Speaker 2: All these things happen. If you've been around sports long enough,
- 5:50Speaker 2: you realize this. There is a do-or-die culture, I think,
- 5:54Speaker 2: in how the sport is covered. especially in college football,
- 5:57Speaker 2: that doesn't lend itself for that type of perspective we
- 5:59Speaker 2: just heard.
- 6:00Speaker 1: And coaches know this, and the best ones do, because players, students,
- 6:06Speaker 1: those guys are not stupid. They can tell when the
- 6:09Speaker 1: staff is panicking a bit. They can tell when the
- 6:12Speaker 1: vibe will shift to change. The coaches who are the
- 6:17Speaker 1: most consistent win or loss, following a loss, following a win,
- 6:22Speaker 1: generally continue down the same path with the locker room
- 6:25Speaker 1: and leadership. They don't start pointing fingers, the players don't,
- 6:29Speaker 1: and they don't throw in the towel saying, well, the
- 6:31Speaker 1: coaches are changing our entire plan of what we work
- 6:33Speaker 1: for all season. As long as you're consistent with the messaging,
- 6:37Speaker 1: you tend to get the same rebound effect despite the
- 6:40Speaker 1: early loss in the season.
- 6:42Speaker 2: And I think consistency is key with John Sumrall also,
- 6:45Speaker 2: because this guy consistently will just say what he's thinking,
- 6:49Speaker 2: and he is so matter-of-fact and direct that... I don't
- 6:53Speaker 2: even think that it's pre-planned. I just think he's honestly
- 6:57Speaker 2: answering a question like he was here when Brandon Walker
- 7:00Speaker 2: asked him about getting ready for the atmosphere in the
- 7:02Speaker 2: swamp on Saturday.
- 7:06Speaker 6: You were just on the road at Auburn, 90,000, 100,000
- 7:09Speaker 6: people going crazy, absolutely nuts atmosphere. And for the first time,
- 7:12Speaker 6: I believe, this weekend when you welcome, I mean, this
- 7:14Speaker 6: will be the swamp at its swampiest. This is going
- 7:16Speaker 6: to be crazy. It's going to be a great atmosphere.
- 7:18Speaker 6: It's going to be everything. Have you thought about that
- 7:20Speaker 6: atmosphere and what it's going to feel like on Saturday?
- 7:22Speaker 5: I have.
- 7:23Speaker 7: I mean, full disclosure, our FAU game blew me away.
- 7:27Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 7:28Speaker 3: Opening game and really not like our FAU game.
- 7:32Speaker 7: The crowd I felt was livelier than what we played
- 7:34Speaker 7: in on Saturday night. Like, so I can only imagine
- 7:37Speaker 7: what that's going to feel like when you bring a
- 7:39Speaker 7: top five team into this place. And Ole Miss is
- 7:43Speaker 7: a really good football team. I have a lot of confidence. Our,
- 7:47Speaker 7: our fan base is going to have an impact. I
- 7:50Speaker 7: love it.
- 7:51Speaker 2: I'm not going to let you give a compliment to
- 7:53Speaker 2: Auburn and their atmosphere because and their fans without me
- 7:56Speaker 2: saying that our game against FAU was more rowdy and
- 7:59Speaker 2: louder in the swamp than it was Saturday night for
- 8:02Speaker 2: a big SEC versus SEC matchup between Florida and Auburn.
- 8:06Speaker 3: I like this guy. People think that.
- 8:08Speaker 2: It's performative or that he's being a fake tough guy
- 8:11Speaker 2: or this and that. I think John Sumrall is being
- 8:13Speaker 2: exactly who he is. I think Will Stein is being
- 8:15Speaker 2: exactly who he is. Two guys that we've interviewed on
- 8:18Speaker 2: our show before that feel like dudes we would hang
- 8:22Speaker 2: out with and go grab a beer with at some point.
- 8:25Speaker 2: And they're going to tell you honestly exactly how they feel.
- 8:27Speaker 2: I love both of them. I think that's, let me
- 8:30Speaker 2: put Beamer in there too.
- 8:31Speaker 1: Different approaches. But that's him. He just beat himself as well.
- 8:37Speaker 1: I think those that are willing to let you know about–
- 8:42Speaker 1: that are willing to answer a question, a simple question of,
- 8:44Speaker 1: what's the pressure like? You absolutely feel it. The playoff
- 8:48Speaker 1: or pink slip approach. Those that say, oh, we're every
- 8:53Speaker 1: other season. You can tell whether it's coach speak or
- 8:56Speaker 1: coach truth. And I think many times the– Those that
- 9:01Speaker 1: will sit down in an interview and just kind of
- 9:04Speaker 1: gloss around the edges of things instead of just directly
- 9:08Speaker 1: answer a question, that's probably how they stand in front
- 9:12Speaker 1: of their team when things get tough. They try not
- 9:15Speaker 1: to make their team feel pressure instead of just saying, yeah,
- 9:17Speaker 1: it's here. It's evident that it's right in front of us.
- 9:22Speaker 1: How are we going to handle things? You can tell
- 9:24Speaker 1: that those guys handle it the right way. And the
- 9:28Speaker 1: locker room speech by Summerall, also just off the cuff.
- 9:32Speaker 1: And the players respond to that too, man. It's hard
- 9:35Speaker 1: not to get fired up playing for him.
- 9:37Speaker 2: I think he's going to do very well at Florida.
- 9:39Speaker 2: I think that– I'm not saying Florida's all the way back.
- 9:42Speaker 2: I need to see a little bit more from him
- 9:44Speaker 2: and what they're going to do. But that was a
- 9:46Speaker 2: great win on the road at Auburn. And if they
- 9:48Speaker 2: beat Ole Miss on Saturday and knock them off after
- 9:52Speaker 2: what they did to LSU and beat Trinidad-Chamberlain's, I think
- 9:55Speaker 2: I'm prepared to say that Florida is probably all the
- 9:58Speaker 2: way back at that point, year one. under John Sumrall.
- 10:01Speaker 2: Teams that are not back cutting. I've got the top
- 10:05Speaker 2: five worst vibes. We did best vibes yesterday, top five
- 10:09Speaker 2: worst vibes in college football, and that's going to bleed
- 10:11Speaker 2: right into the following segment where we're going to find
- 10:14Speaker 2: out why. Why is number one on my list today?
- 10:18Speaker 2: the worst vibes in college football. That is straight ahead
- 10:22Speaker 2: right here on Huntington Withrow presented by Hard Rock Bet.
- 10:25Speaker 1: Good morning to you. Huntington Withrow presented by Hard Rock Bet.

- 11:27Speaker 1: Trey Biddy from Hawk Sports is going to join us
- 11:29Speaker 1: in a couple of minutes here. Chad, we had your
- 11:31Speaker 1: best vibes across college football yesterday. Now we get to
- 11:35Speaker 1: the worst vibes for programs. Where do you start this week?
- 11:39Speaker 2: I'm going to start at number five this week, the
- 11:41Speaker 2: Oklahoma Sooners. They just beat New Mexico 14-6 after looking
- 11:47Speaker 2: terribly offensively at Michigan and Ann Arbor. And when Brent
- 11:52Speaker 2: Venables was asked to ask the game, hey, what do
- 11:54Speaker 2: you have that's working on offense? And he just said nothing.
- 11:56Speaker 2: Did you watch the game? I mean, we just scored
- 11:59Speaker 2: 14 points. There's nothing that's working. There's no flow. Nothing's
- 12:02Speaker 2: happening offensively for the Sooners. Some bad vibes around that
- 12:06Speaker 2: program after– High expectations for John Mateer and that team
- 12:09Speaker 2: coming into the season. Number four is Colorado and Deion Sanders.
- 12:14Speaker 2: Deion's kicking guys off the team, but Colorado won't confirm
- 12:17Speaker 2: which players are kicked off the team until later in
- 12:19Speaker 2: the week. He's talking about guys laughing and cutting up
- 12:23Speaker 2: after getting blown out by Northwestern. He's making inferences to
- 12:27Speaker 2: Boo Carter being a culture issue and a personality problem
- 12:33Speaker 2: and maybe not a fit.
- 12:34Speaker 3: Tennessee fans could have warned you about that one.
- 12:37Speaker 2: That was probably going to go south at some point,
- 12:39Speaker 2: and now maybe Boo Carter is no longer on the team.
- 12:41Speaker 2: It's really bad for Colorado, so they're number four. Number
- 12:45Speaker 2: three on the list, the Maryland Terrapins. Maryland and Mike Loxley,
- 12:50Speaker 2: they lose to James Franklin, who betrayed them when he
- 12:54Speaker 2: left as the coach in waiting years ago and said
- 12:56Speaker 2: some bad things about Maryland. Maryland people aren't happy with
- 12:59Speaker 2: James Franklin. Virginia Tech beats Maryland. And then Mike Loxley
- 13:03Speaker 2: is getting questions like this.
- 13:05Speaker 5: At the podium.
- 13:07Speaker 4: Hey, Mike.
- 13:08Speaker 8: You said it after the game Saturday. You said it
- 13:10Speaker 8: several times after losses over the years that you're going
- 13:14Speaker 8: to learn from it. You're going to get things fixed, corrected.
- 13:17Speaker 2: Yes.
- 13:18Speaker 3: Losses like Saturday.
- 13:19Speaker 8: Continue to happen where you get outcoached, you get outplayed,
- 13:23Speaker 8: and then you come out afterward and you make those
- 13:25Speaker 8: same promises. Do you feel like you deserve more chances
- 13:30Speaker 8: to keep saying you're going to learn from losses when
- 13:33Speaker 8: I think everybody at this point expects more from you?
- 13:37Speaker 9: Go back and break your question down because you seem
- 13:39Speaker 9: like you went on. What are you asking me? Let's
- 13:41Speaker 9: get to that.
- 13:42Speaker 8: After losses like Saturday, you keep saying that you're going.
- 13:45Speaker 3: To learn from them.
- 13:46Speaker 2: Got it.
- 13:46Speaker 9: Okay, I understand that. So it goes back to what
- 13:48Speaker 9: my opening statement was, was that I understand why you
- 13:52Speaker 9: asked the question, why you say those things. I understand
- 13:54Speaker 9: why the fans are frustrated. They've earned the right for
- 13:58Speaker 9: us to play better than we have. It won't get
- 14:01Speaker 9: fixed here at the podium. It gets fixed across the
- 14:03Speaker 9: street with the work we do. We continue to do
- 14:05Speaker 9: the work. We continue to improve. We'll continue to do
- 14:09Speaker 9: the things we have to do to earn their trust back.
- 14:18Speaker 5: Coach, obviously.
- 14:22Speaker 3: There you go. Mike Loxley. Not happy with that question.
- 14:27Speaker 3: Handled it pretty well.
- 14:28Speaker 1: He handled it very well.
- 14:29Speaker 3: I feel bad for Mike Loxley. Seems like a really
- 14:31Speaker 3: nice guy.
- 14:33Speaker 2: And yeah, that was one that I would say Jared
- 14:36Speaker 2: Stillman got his media credential revoked for far less than
- 14:39Speaker 2: that in terms of a question. But that was a
- 14:42Speaker 2: tough question to ask, and I know where he's going
- 14:44Speaker 2: with that, but there's probably a more delicate way to
- 14:47Speaker 2: ask the question instead of, hey, I think people rightfully
- 14:50Speaker 2: so are upset that you don't learn from your mistakes,
- 14:54Speaker 2: and why should you still be around here?
- 14:56Speaker 3: That's a tough question to ask a coach.
- 14:58Speaker 1: I would say both media members deserve their credential, and
- 15:01Speaker 1: the Titans should take a look at this as an
- 15:03Speaker 1: example of tough questions.
- 15:04Speaker 2: That's a great, great point. You want an example of
- 15:07Speaker 2: a tough day? NC State, number two.
- 15:10Speaker 3: On the list.
- 15:11Speaker 2: NC State found a way to steal a loss from
- 15:16Speaker 2: a victory. In one of the most improbable ways, something
- 15:20Speaker 2: we'll always remember is that game.
- 15:22Speaker 3: C.J.
- 15:22Speaker 2: Bailey, unfortunately for him, will never live that moment down
- 15:26Speaker 2: for NC State and how they coughed it up against
- 15:28Speaker 2: Vandy in that game. Dave Doran under fire now. The
- 15:32Speaker 2: whole NC State program under fire. They had a ton
- 15:34Speaker 2: of fans in Nashville to watch them play that game.
- 15:37Speaker 2: They looked like they were on their way to a
- 15:39Speaker 2: huge Victory on the road over an SEC opponent, and
- 15:43Speaker 2: then the Music City nightmare happened. They're number two on
- 15:45Speaker 2: the list. Number one on the list, Hutton, and I'm
- 15:48Speaker 2: just going to say it, the Arkansas Razorbacks. My goodness,
- 15:52Speaker 2: what an awful crowd on Saturday. All the video circulating
- 15:56Speaker 2: of no one at tailgates before the game. Everything surrounding
- 15:59Speaker 2: that program. Beg me to ask the question, why? I
- 16:03Speaker 2: don't see the big issue with Ryan Silverfield, given that
- 16:06Speaker 2: they didn't get Alex Golish.
- 16:08Speaker 3: We're going to ask the question, why?
- 16:10Speaker 2: With Arkansas football and this level of animosity from the
- 16:14Speaker 2: fan base towards the program, towards the athletic director, we're
- 16:19Speaker 2: going to ask that question with Trey Biddy when we
- 16:21Speaker 2: come back.
- 16:21Speaker 1: Yeah, Trey Biddy from Hog Sports joins us next right
- 16:23Speaker 1: here on Hunting With Row. Shout out to Jennifer Say.
- 16:26Speaker 1: She's the former national champion gymnast, former Levi's brand president.
- 16:31Speaker 1: She walked away from a corporate job rather than say
- 16:32Speaker 1: something she didn't believe and started XXXY Athletics instead. And
- 16:35Speaker 1: the mission in their words is, is to empower female athletes.
- 16:38Speaker 1: Take a stand for fair competition. They call it the
- 16:40Speaker 1: T that launched a movement. It's real athletic apparel, Chad,
- 16:44Speaker 1: not just a slogan on a shirt.
- 16:46Speaker 3: That's right. Official Nashville balls gear.
- 16:49Speaker 5: That's right.
- 16:49Speaker 2: T's, trucker hats with XXXY. New customers get 20% off
- 16:52Speaker 2: your first order when you sign up. And free shipping
- 16:54Speaker 2: over $ 100, XXXYathletics.com. That's XX-XYathletics.com.
- 17:00Speaker 1: Boxsports.com, covering everything for Arkansas, Trey Bitty. joins us right
- 17:06Speaker 1: now here on Hutton and Withrow, presented by Hard Rock Bet. Trey,
- 17:08Speaker 1: thank you for the time, man, and the time right now,
- 17:13Speaker 1: Arkansas needs a win in the worst way coming up
- 17:16Speaker 1: this week.
- 17:17Speaker 5: They really do, and it's a scary appointment, but now
- 17:20Speaker 5: Tulsa's going to be without their quarterback, and so, you know,
- 17:22Speaker 5: that's an advantage for Arkansas, but this is a team
- 17:24Speaker 5: that knocked off Oklahoma State in week one, so Yeah,
- 17:28Speaker 5: when you're playing Tulsa, you should probably be, as an
- 17:31Speaker 5: SEC team, at minimum a 17-point favorite, but Arkansas is
- 17:35Speaker 5: just favored by a touchdown in this.
- 17:37Speaker 1: What's the atmosphere like with the crowd, and what's the
- 17:40Speaker 1: vibe like within the team in response to the crowd?
- 17:45Speaker 5: Yeah, well, I mean, the team hasn't said anything about
- 17:49Speaker 5: the crowd. Now, there was probably 60,000, maybe a little
- 17:52Speaker 5: bit more than that. It was just very late arriving.
- 17:54Speaker 5: It was an 11 o'clock game. It was against the
- 17:56Speaker 5: number two team in the country that nobody felt like
- 17:58Speaker 5: Arkansas had a chance against. So that definitely impacted the crowd,
- 18:02Speaker 5: and they definitely cleared out at halftime as well. But, yeah,
- 18:06Speaker 5: I mean, I just think that there's a level of apathy.
- 18:08Speaker 5: I don't know that it's all necessarily firmly directed at Silverfield,
- 18:12Speaker 5: although some of it is, obviously. A lot of it's
- 18:15Speaker 5: directed towards higher up, athletic director and stuff. I think
- 18:18Speaker 5: fans are just tired of losing. And I think they
- 18:21Speaker 5: felt like they were told a certain thing that Arkansas
- 18:24Speaker 5: was going to be in this situation in terms of
- 18:26Speaker 5: finances and NIL budget and all that stuff. And yes,
- 18:30Speaker 5: I think that they have improved their overall football budget.
- 18:33Speaker 5: We know that they have. But when that report came
- 18:36Speaker 5: out from The Athletic that ranked Arkansas dead last in
- 18:38Speaker 5: the SEC based on their research in NIL, that really
- 18:42Speaker 5: frustrated fans because they felt like they'd been sold a
- 18:45Speaker 5: bill of goods. So, yeah, I think there's a lot
- 18:47Speaker 5: of frustration at the top. But, I mean, guys, this
- 18:49Speaker 5: football program has been in hell for 14 years. There's
- 18:52Speaker 5: a couple of blips on the radar. I mean, people
- 18:54Speaker 5: are just tired of losing.
- 18:57Speaker 2: Yeah, and trust me, I totally understand that. And Arkansas,
- 19:00Speaker 2: with the money and the businesses there in northwest Arkansas,
- 19:04Speaker 2: feels like what John Calipari's been able to do with basketball,
- 19:08Speaker 2: feels like they could have more of a commitment to football.
- 19:12Speaker 2: I'm just surprised, Trey, that it's so quick with Ryan
- 19:14Speaker 2: Silverfield in this program. You know, all the guy had
- 19:17Speaker 2: done so far is he went to Utah and lost
- 19:19Speaker 2: a game that everybody expected Arkansas to lose going into
- 19:22Speaker 2: that game, right? And when you look at the possibilities
- 19:25Speaker 2: once they didn't get Alex Golish, I guess it was,
- 19:28Speaker 2: I don't know who Arkansas fans were expecting in terms
- 19:32Speaker 2: of the hire. Are they disappointed in the hire? Are
- 19:35Speaker 2: they disappointed in some aspect of Ryan Silverfield and what
- 19:39Speaker 2: he said? or what he's done so far, where does
- 19:42Speaker 2: that animosity come from towards Silverfield and his team?
- 19:46Speaker 5: Yeah, I think you settle into an expectation. Everybody expected
- 19:49Speaker 5: it to be goalish and when it was named. Basically,
- 19:52Speaker 5: Silverfield was the guy that ESPN put as the favorite
- 19:56Speaker 5: to land the Arkansas job from the very beginning. And
- 19:59Speaker 5: so I think you go all the way to the end,
- 20:00Speaker 5: you have this long, drawn-out coaching search, and you end
- 20:03Speaker 5: up with the guy that they told you that you're
- 20:04Speaker 5: going to end up with the whole time. So I
- 20:08Speaker 5: think that's part of it. And I think it was just,
- 20:09Speaker 5: it was unexpected. You know, people look and they say,
- 20:12Speaker 5: why did he lose his last three games and all
- 20:13Speaker 5: that stuff? But this isn't all on Ryan Silverfield. The
- 20:16Speaker 5: biggest mistake that Silverfield made, I think, is not bringing
- 20:20Speaker 5: in a proven quarterback. That is, that would not fix
- 20:24Speaker 5: everything on this team, but that would go a long way.
- 20:27Speaker 5: I mean, you look at the best teams, they have
- 20:29Speaker 5: a dynamic quarterback. And so I think that was part
- 20:32Speaker 5: of it. But again, I think most of the angst
- 20:35Speaker 5: from Fans is pointed higher up, but, you know, you
- 20:38Speaker 5: see the product on the field. They can't throw the ball.
- 20:41Speaker 5: They're the worst run team in power, power for their
- 20:46Speaker 5: worst team in power for when it comes to, you know,
- 20:48Speaker 5: average yards per carry. And they're one of the worst
- 20:51Speaker 5: teams on defense when it comes to stopping the run.
- 20:53Speaker 5: So it just it doesn't feel like there's anything that
- 20:55Speaker 5: they can really hang their hat on. You talk about
- 20:57Speaker 5: the Utah game, but they were it was over. In
- 21:01Speaker 5: no time. They weren't even competitive in it. And I
- 21:03Speaker 5: think a lot of fans look back at last year
- 21:05Speaker 5: and say, you know what, they lost eight games by
- 21:07Speaker 5: a score or less. They lost the Auburn game also
- 21:11Speaker 5: where they had a lead in the fourth quarter, and
- 21:13Speaker 5: that wasn't even one of those eight. So I think
- 21:15Speaker 5: people look at the team and they're like, you know,
- 21:17Speaker 5: they're basically saying how are we worse than we were
- 21:19Speaker 5: last year.
- 21:21Speaker 3: What should Arkansas be?
- 21:23Speaker 2: I have a hard time trying to slot SEC teams
- 21:27Speaker 2: and what the expectation is and what is realistic.
- 21:30Speaker 3: For the fan base.
- 21:30Speaker 2: Certainly it's better than this, right, Trey? But where should
- 21:33Speaker 2: Arkansas be in a perfect world?
- 21:35Speaker 5: If Missouri can do it and Ole Miss can do
- 21:38Speaker 5: it and Mississippi State can do what they're doing starting
- 21:40Speaker 5: off this year, Arkansas can absolutely do it. I mean, Arkansas,
- 21:45Speaker 5: I would argue, has more tradition than any of those.
- 21:48Speaker 5: You might make an argument with Ole Miss, you know,
- 21:50Speaker 5: especially lately. But if you go back, you know, if
- 21:52Speaker 5: you're ranking the top 25 programs of all time, Arkansas
- 21:55Speaker 5: is usually going to come up on that list and
- 21:58Speaker 5: most wins all time. But it's a different era. And
- 22:02Speaker 5: this kind of bleeds back into your last question also.
- 22:05Speaker 5: 2026 and beyond is different than any other era in
- 22:09Speaker 5: the past. You don't even say, like, oh, it's not
- 22:11Speaker 5: 2016 anymore. It's not 2025 anymore. Teams can come in
- 22:16Speaker 5: right away and build a program that is competitive immediately
- 22:20Speaker 5: because if you're hired as a new coach, you've got,
- 22:22Speaker 5: you know, four, five, six weeks to get your staff
- 22:25Speaker 5: together to attack the transfer portal. And, you know, we–
- 22:30Speaker 5: even last year, there was not a single power for coach,
- 22:33Speaker 5: a first year coach who had a winning record, not
- 22:35Speaker 5: a single one power for coaches this year who took
- 22:39Speaker 5: over new programs are like, it's like 39 and eight,
- 22:45Speaker 5: 39 wins and eight losses. It's just a different era
- 22:47Speaker 5: than it's ever been before. So at Arkansas, if those,
- 22:51Speaker 5: if those places can do it, then Arkansas absolutely can
- 22:54Speaker 5: do it. They have to get Walmart involved. I mean,
- 22:57Speaker 5: you're talking about a massive company and you know, there
- 23:00Speaker 5: are people with billions of dollars. I mean, you're talking
- 23:02Speaker 5: about like Alice Walton alone and, you know, her sibling,
- 23:06Speaker 5: they're over a hundred billion, you know, I mean, they
- 23:09Speaker 5: have money and, uh, Arkansas has got to figure out
- 23:11Speaker 5: a way to, to impact to them the importance for
- 23:16Speaker 5: community to have success at Arkansas. I mean, it, it,
- 23:21Speaker 5: it lifts all boats, you know, as they say.
- 23:24Speaker 2: Well, and you mentioned Kentucky there also, how much does
- 23:27Speaker 2: Will Stein and John Sumrall and their their youthful exuberance
- 23:32Speaker 2: and personality.
- 23:33Speaker 3: How much is that?
- 23:34Speaker 2: And we interviewed Ryan Silverfield in Tampa.
- 23:36Speaker 3: He was great.
- 23:37Speaker 2: It was one of my favorite interviews there. I thought
- 23:39Speaker 2: he did a great job and showed some personality. But
- 23:42Speaker 2: how much does that also affect the fan base saying, man,
- 23:45Speaker 2: we got to go get one of those guys when
- 23:47Speaker 2: you see Will Stein and Summerall and how they are
- 23:49Speaker 2: on the sideline?
- 23:50Speaker 5: Yeah, well, they're having success. I mean, I'm sure if
- 23:52Speaker 5: they weren't having success, we would be picking them apart
- 23:54Speaker 5: for every flaw that they have. I mean, that's just
- 23:57Speaker 5: the way we are. Everybody loved Tim Cramsey. He's got
- 23:59Speaker 5: this raspy voice. He's like from Pennsylvania. Everybody loves the
- 24:03Speaker 5: way he talks. And then next thing, everybody's mocking the
- 24:05Speaker 5: way he talks because the offense isn't doing well. With Silverfield, again,
- 24:09Speaker 5: I don't think that there's anything in particular that you
- 24:12Speaker 5: look at Silverfield and say, like, this guy is a–
- 24:15Speaker 5: he is the problem. It is way too early for that,
- 24:17Speaker 5: in my opinion. And, again, the biggest mistake that he
- 24:20Speaker 5: made was, A, probably not having the budget that some
- 24:23Speaker 5: of these other SEC schools have. That's no reason to look,
- 24:26Speaker 5: you know, kind of crappy against North Texas or to
- 24:28Speaker 5: be completely blown out against Utah, a team with very
- 24:31Speaker 5: similar resources as Arkansas. In fact, according to the NIL stuff,
- 24:35Speaker 5: Arkansas has better resources. But to me, the problem is
- 24:40Speaker 5: higher up. And I think that's why you see an
- 24:43Speaker 5: audit of the football department right now, the board of
- 24:45Speaker 5: trustees and the president. And, yeah, people are basically asking, like,
- 24:53Speaker 5: why are things the way they are? As Ryan Silverfield
- 24:55Speaker 5: has said several times, you know, the reason for Arkansas
- 25:00Speaker 5: only winning one Power 5 game the last couple years,
- 25:03Speaker 5: Power 4 game, goes farther than just coaching or Sam
- 25:07Speaker 5: Pittman or, you know, whoever else has led this program
- 25:10Speaker 5: in the recent years.
- 25:12Speaker 1: Pray Bitty joins us. So did other coaches not choose
- 25:16Speaker 1: Arkansas because of the NIL investment and Silverfield did? Or
- 25:20Speaker 1: is Silverfield also one that may feel like he was
- 25:22Speaker 1: sold a bill of goods?
- 25:25Speaker 5: Maybe. I mean, it kind of felt, I almost feel
- 25:29Speaker 5: like he maybe thought he had more to work with
- 25:31Speaker 5: this year than he did in NIL, just based on
- 25:33Speaker 5: some comments. He hasn't said that specifically, but just kind
- 25:36Speaker 5: of the reading between the lines. I mean, Florida's obviously
- 25:41Speaker 5: got better NIL resources right out the gate, a better tradition,
- 25:46Speaker 5: same deal with Auburn. You know, I, I think if
- 25:49Speaker 5: you're like, if everything is going to be equal, then,
- 25:52Speaker 5: you know, most people see more opportunity in Auburn. I mean,
- 25:54Speaker 5: especially when you look at just, that's always been the
- 25:57Speaker 5: thing that for Arkansas that's, in my opinion, held them back.
- 25:59Speaker 5: I mean, it is a wonderful area up here. Like,
- 26:02Speaker 5: it's one of the best places to live in the country.
- 26:04Speaker 5: It really is. If you look at any, by any
- 26:06Speaker 5: metric you look at. And the problem with Arkansas is
- 26:09Speaker 5: it's just more remote. And from a recruiting standpoint, the
- 26:12Speaker 5: issue has always been access to elite talent. I mean,
- 26:15Speaker 5: you go down to Gainesville, you go to Auburn, you
- 26:18Speaker 5: look at the you know, the area around Auburn and
- 26:21Speaker 5: the area that you have to recruit and there's more competition,
- 26:24Speaker 5: but you have, you know, a big area and Arkansas
- 26:26Speaker 5: has always kind of gone after guys that, you know,
- 26:28Speaker 5: LSU maybe didn't go after or Texas didn't want. Um, and,
- 26:32Speaker 5: and you got guys with a chip on their shoulder.
- 26:34Speaker 5: Plus you recruited in state NIL area to me is
- 26:36Speaker 5: an opportunity for Arkansas to change the game. They just
- 26:39Speaker 5: have to have the finances that puts them back on
- 26:42Speaker 5: a leg because if the money's right, then you can
- 26:44Speaker 5: recruit from California to North Carolina, you know? So, um,
- 26:48Speaker 5: I think people are so frustrated because they see that opportunity, too,
- 26:52Speaker 5: and then you just feel like Arkansas hasn't taken advantage
- 26:54Speaker 5: of it. Why don't they have some of these billionaires
- 26:57Speaker 5: more involved with football?
- 26:59Speaker 1: And 30,000-foot view for me here, and you can pinpoint it,
- 27:02Speaker 1: did those finances just go to basketball? Is this just
- 27:04Speaker 1: a basketball school?
- 27:05Speaker 5: No, I mean, they didn't. If you look at NILnomics
- 27:09Speaker 5: did a breakdown on it, and they had 11.5% of
- 27:11Speaker 5: Arkansas's budget going to basketball, which is tops in the SEC. That's,
- 27:19Speaker 5: that's more than any, I think, you know, part of
- 27:20Speaker 5: that John Calipari makes 7.7 million or something. Right.
- 27:23Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 27:24Speaker 5: But football is also one of the top three teams
- 27:28Speaker 5: in terms of allocation to football. One of the top
- 27:30Speaker 5: three teams in the SEC there, I think the only
- 27:32Speaker 5: one in the SEC that was top three in both.
- 27:35Speaker 5: So the, the difference is like what, what your pool is,
- 27:40Speaker 5: you know, that you're pulling those percentages out of. So,
- 27:43Speaker 5: You know, they're invested in football in terms of what
- 27:46Speaker 5: their budget is. It's just their budget isn't big enough.
- 27:50Speaker 1: Trey, great stuff, man. We appreciate the insight. And the
- 27:53Speaker 1: final thing, like, where does this lead to? Like, the crowds,
- 27:57Speaker 1: a big game against Tulsa, we mentioned that because of
- 27:59Speaker 1: they need to win in the worst way. But expectations
- 28:02Speaker 1: have never, you know, they're low. So ultimately, what are
- 28:05Speaker 1: we watching this season?
- 28:07Speaker 5: Tulsa will be a good crowd, I think. I think people,
- 28:10Speaker 5: you know, Want to see a win, obviously. It's the
- 28:12Speaker 5: first night game since they installed the new lights and
- 28:15Speaker 5: the new laser system. So I think that there will
- 28:17Speaker 5: be a good crowd. But can we talk after the
- 28:21Speaker 5: Tulsa game? It's like depending on how that goes, could
- 28:28Speaker 5: determine a lot of how this fan base feels. I mean,
- 28:32Speaker 5: you're able to maybe generate a little bit of momentum
- 28:33Speaker 5: if you can get a win.
- 28:36Speaker 3: Good stuff, man.
- 28:36Speaker 1: We appreciate it as always. Great to see you again.
- 28:39Speaker 5: Yep, good to be on, guys.
- 28:40Speaker 3: Hey, thanks, Trey.
- 28:41Speaker 1: TreyBettyHawksSports.com.
- 28:43Speaker 2: Hey, Trey Lamb, speaking of Trey, it's Trey Lamb. He's
- 28:46Speaker 2: going to move up in jobs at some point, I
- 28:49Speaker 2: feel confident in saying. I don't know if that's in
- 28:52Speaker 2: play for Arkansas eventually, but Trey Lamb's a good young
- 28:55Speaker 2: coach there at Tulsa to watch that we knew from
- 28:58Speaker 2: his days back at ETSU when he was the head
- 29:00Speaker 2: coach there. So that's certainly a guy to follow.
- 29:03Speaker 1: He once played golf with Clay Travis and the Lyft crew.
- 29:07Speaker 2: He hit the ball a lot further than Clay. That
- 29:10Speaker 2: I can guarantee.
- 29:11Speaker 1: That game might be a part of our bundle. Going
- 29:14Speaker 1: for the bundle. It's next. Here on Hutton and Withrow.
- 29:17Speaker 1: It is Hutton and Withrow, and we are presented by
- 29:21Speaker 1: Hard Rock Bet.
- 29:22Speaker 9: Hard Rock.
- 29:23Speaker 1: Right now, you can bet $ 5. You get $ 100 in
- 29:26Speaker 1: bonus bets for new customers. Bet $ 5. Get $ 100 in

- 29:40Speaker 1: we combine our top bets. It's called Going for the Bundle.
- 29:46Speaker 10: On first down, Smoker back in his own end zone,
- 29:48Speaker 10: going for the bundle.
- 29:49Speaker 2: He's got Bonner, who lays it out and catches the
- 29:52Speaker 2: ball down on the seven, and he's in for the touchdown.
- 29:55Speaker 5: He was not touched.
- 29:57Speaker 1: He was not touched by the defender, Nate Coggins.
- 30:00Speaker 10: Jeff Smoker is a touchdown-throwing inferno. It's 57-49, Nashville.
- 30:08Speaker 1: Shout out to the late Mark Howard.
- 30:11Speaker 2: Bring the smile to my face every time I hear
- 30:12Speaker 2: his voice to start that promo.
- 30:15Speaker 3: Definite shout-out to Mark Howard.
- 30:17Speaker 1: Going for the bundle. Chad, we go for the bundle
- 30:20Speaker 1: right now with Hard Rock Bet, and we've got our three.
- 30:25Speaker 1: I'm taking Tulsa, and that's 7.5, plus 7.5. Chad, here's why.
- 30:32Speaker 1: 3-0 Tulsa, taking on Arkansas. And what does Vegas know here?
- 30:37Speaker 1: This is a possession game on the road in the SEC.
- 30:40Speaker 1: and they're playing Arkansas, a team that's reeling. Crowd's going
- 30:43Speaker 1: to be low. That's the vibe with the Razorbacks. This
- 30:47Speaker 1: is a team that beat Oklahoma State, who then turned
- 30:49Speaker 1: around and beat Oregon. I like the vibe. I like
- 30:52Speaker 1: Trey Lamb as coach. They've got something going there. Do
- 30:55Speaker 1: not sleep on Tulsa. I'm taking the points here as
- 30:58Speaker 1: my end of the three-bet parlay going on right now
- 31:02Speaker 1: at hardrock.bet.com. You can download the app today. Where are
- 31:06Speaker 1: you taking this one with, Roe?
- 31:07Speaker 2: So Trey Bitty, by the way, said that there were
- 31:09Speaker 2: 60,000 some odd fans at the Arkansas game, but a
- 31:13Speaker 2: late arriving crowd, but everybody left at halftime. Maybe 60,000
- 31:17Speaker 2: butts hit a seat in Arkansas, but it lasted for
- 31:20Speaker 2: about three and a half minutes. I feel like if
- 31:22Speaker 2: that happened, there may have been like a five minute
- 31:24Speaker 2: window where 60,000 bodies were actually.
- 31:26Speaker 3: In that building.
- 31:27Speaker 2: And then they were all gone because they showed up
- 31:30Speaker 2: late second quarter and left at halftime. Anyway, it's not
- 31:34Speaker 2: going to be a good scene at Arkansas again this week.
- 31:36Speaker 2: But they are– I saw Arkansas fans complaining about this,
- 31:40Speaker 2: but they are debuting the LED lights at a light
- 31:43Speaker 2: show at the stadium at night. And everyone's, you know, hooray,
- 31:46Speaker 2: lights of Arkansas fans about what's going on there.
- 31:50Speaker 1: And when you see– if you're Tulsa, when you see
- 31:53Speaker 1: the way Arkansas has been playing, I would be– extremely
- 31:59Speaker 1: confident going into this with the way my team had
- 32:01Speaker 1: been playing at that time versus the SEC opponent. A
- 32:04Speaker 1: chance to go on the road and potentially win outright
- 32:07Speaker 1: in this game.
- 32:09Speaker 2: Let me also say that if Saquon Barkley does not
- 32:11Speaker 2: get hurt on the first play we hit this parlay
- 32:14Speaker 2: with our three entries last week, that was a tough
- 32:17Speaker 2: one to swallow.
- 32:19Speaker 3: I'm going to Vandy this week at Auburn.
- 32:21Speaker 2: I think Auburn probably wins a close game, but 9.5%
- 32:27Speaker 2: I like Vandy covering the 9.5. This is a program
- 32:30Speaker 2: that is 14-3 over their last 17 games. They just
- 32:33Speaker 2: won by a miracle at home at NC State. I
- 32:36Speaker 2: say that to say there are good vibes around Vandy's program.
- 32:40Speaker 2: They are finding ways to get things done. They're finding
- 32:43Speaker 2: ways to win. I'm watching highlights of a few of
- 32:45Speaker 2: those passes from Jared Curtis in that second half. Dude
- 32:49Speaker 2: looks like a future top-10 pick in the NFL draft,
- 32:52Speaker 2: physically with his skill set. Auburn has not really gotten
- 32:55Speaker 2: it going yet. much this year yet. I like Alex
- 32:59Speaker 2: Golish a lot. Again, I think they probably win at home,
- 33:02Speaker 2: but I love Vanderbilt to cover the nine and a
- 33:04Speaker 2: half on the road at Auburn this weekend.
- 33:07Speaker 1: Well, and I view this as like the way that
- 33:09Speaker 1: you have the momentum coming off of the way they
- 33:12Speaker 1: won that game and the fact that Curtis is playing,
- 33:16Speaker 1: they come back in that game, as you mentioned, there
- 33:19Speaker 1: is a belief in things just going their way. That's
- 33:24Speaker 1: a moment that can spark a turn in the overall
- 33:27Speaker 1: body of work that we're seeing from the Commodores, which
- 33:29Speaker 1: has not been good. It has not been consistent, but
- 33:32Speaker 1: they get the victory over a team that had that
- 33:35Speaker 1: and gave it away. You know, they grabbed a a
- 33:38Speaker 1: loss from the jaws of victory in that game. NC
- 33:41Speaker 1: State did.
- 33:42Speaker 2: Don't you look at that, though, and just think, they're
- 33:44Speaker 2: not losing by double digits.
- 33:45Speaker 3: No. I do not see them going to Auburn. All
- 33:49Speaker 3: the success.
- 33:49Speaker 2: They beat Auburn a year ago. I know Pavia was
- 33:51Speaker 2: there and all that.
- 33:52Speaker 3: It was a good game.
- 33:53Speaker 2: I think it was an overtime game, maybe. But a
- 33:55Speaker 2: really close game in Nashville. But I just don't think
- 33:58Speaker 2: they're losing by double digits, this team.
- 34:00Speaker 1: And then two years ago, Chad, they had the pregame speech.
- 34:03Speaker 1: It's at that game, the pregame speech, where Clark Lee
- 34:06Speaker 1: is saying, No one believes in this team in this
- 34:08Speaker 1: locker room and everyone outside. They weren't even paying attention
- 34:12Speaker 1: to you during their laughing. They're cutting up during warm-ups.
- 34:15Speaker 1: Did you see how they were warming up on the field?
- 34:17Speaker 1: You had Pavia and other players getting in a scrap
- 34:21Speaker 1: postgame after Pavia's bragging about winning the Iron Bowl. There's
- 34:26Speaker 1: bad blood there, but Vanderbilt knows how to go on
- 34:28Speaker 1: the road and win in that stadium.
- 34:30Speaker 2: Yeah, a year ago, 45-38 Vandy in overtime. was that
- 34:34Speaker 2: game in November for them over Auburn. Again, give me
- 34:37Speaker 2: the doors plus nine and a half. They're not losing
- 34:40Speaker 2: this game by double digits.
- 34:41Speaker 1: We always add JT as our third of the three-team parlay.
- 34:46Speaker 3: JT won last week with his leg.
- 34:47Speaker 1: Yes, he did. JT, where are we headed?
- 34:50Speaker 3: Yeah, I think that I like USC. A sellout at home,
- 34:55Speaker 3: Lincoln Riley's 4-0.
- 34:57Speaker 10: I think that we've seen some bad crowds there, but
- 35:00Speaker 10: I kind of like what's going on there. Oregon, first
- 35:04Speaker 10: true road game of the season with Dan Lanning. Their
- 35:06Speaker 10: defense has been pretty inconsistent. And, you know, I just
- 35:11Speaker 10: think it's, I'm not going to say a no-brainer, but
- 35:15Speaker 10: I really like USC at home coming up this weekend.
- 35:17Speaker 1: See, I think that stadium's going to be packed because
- 35:21Speaker 1: of Oregon fans.
- 35:22Speaker 2: I'm surprised JT didn't have the balls to go money line.
- 35:25Speaker 2: with USC on that one. I thought he might go outright,
- 35:28Speaker 2: USC to pull off the upset at home and get
- 35:30Speaker 2: a little bit more plus money. I do not feel
- 35:33Speaker 2: confident in that pick. JT wins.
- 35:35Speaker 3: JT does a great job here. This is JT's pick.
- 35:38Speaker 2: It'll probably hit because I'm not confident in it. I
- 35:41Speaker 2: have little confidence in USC, mainly because I picked USC
- 35:45Speaker 2: to cover 23 and a half in freaking Piscataway against
- 35:49Speaker 2: Rutgers a week ago, and they win by a touchdown. So,
- 35:53Speaker 2: I'm coming in pissed off at USC to begin with.
- 35:56Speaker 3: So I'm not confident in that one. But, hey, there
- 35:59Speaker 3: you go. There's our three-leg going for the bundle parlay.
- 36:02Speaker 10: Did you not feel the same way when Vandy was–
- 36:04Speaker 10: I mean, looking at– and I don't disagree with you.
- 36:08Speaker 10: Vandy was down 17 points last weekend.
- 36:10Speaker 3: Oh, it was over. Yeah, no, Vandy had no business
- 36:13Speaker 3: winning that game.
- 36:14Speaker 2: I just look at that and I say they were
- 36:18Speaker 2: both bad enough to get beat and get down 17-0
- 36:20Speaker 2: to NC State.
- 36:22Speaker 3: And really to lose that game. But there's also this.
- 36:25Speaker 2: Mojo around that program that they come up with a
- 36:29Speaker 2: miraculous play to win the game. And their quarterback's got
- 36:33Speaker 2: some swag now. I know he threw the late interception
- 36:37Speaker 2: the last time he was on the field, but I
- 36:40Speaker 2: feel like he's only going to get better and better.
- 36:42Speaker 2: And I'm just not a big believer in Auburn right now. Hey,
- 36:44Speaker 2: maybe Auburn responds. after their crowd got called out by Florida,
- 36:48Speaker 2: John Sumrall, and they come out and whip Vandy.
- 36:51Speaker 3: But I'd like them to cover that 9.5. I'm curious, too.
- 36:54Speaker 1: What would be the vibe of our three-leg parlay here
- 36:59Speaker 1: had Auburn beat Florida? If it's vice versa, Auburn wins,
- 37:05Speaker 1: Vandy loses, I don't think we're questioning this at all.
- 37:08Speaker 4: No.
- 37:09Speaker 2: No, I think you're probably right. Let's just win. Let's
- 37:13Speaker 2: just win. That's the simple way to do this. Shane
- 37:16Speaker 2: Beamer said it. We showed it earlier in the show.
- 37:18Speaker 1: Hey, it's sports.
- 37:21Speaker 3: It's life. Sometimes you win. Sometimes you lose.
- 37:23Speaker 2: We're not going to sit and feel sorry for ourselves.
- 37:25Speaker 2: We're going to get ready for the next game, and
- 37:27Speaker 2: we're going to move forward. It doesn't guarantee success, but
- 37:29Speaker 2: that's what we're going to do. That's what we do

- 38:27Speaker 1: the Thursday night game, Green Bay and Atlanta, by the way,
- 38:33Speaker 1: I've I really want to load up on Green Bay
- 38:35Speaker 1: so bad on this. And again, I'm thinking, what does
- 38:37Speaker 1: Vegas know? Because I think it's just seven, seven and
- 38:39Speaker 1: a half last I looked. But short window. I don't
- 38:43Speaker 1: believe in the NFC South. And it's Green Bay at home.
- 38:47Speaker 1: We'll see.
- 38:49Speaker 2: The race to Arch seems to be on right now
- 38:51Speaker 2: with a few teams in the NFL. The Falcons certainly
- 38:55Speaker 2: have put their name in the hat to be one
- 38:58Speaker 2: of those teams. The Titans and Giants with Jackson Dart.
- 39:02Speaker 2: now being out for the season, it looks like.
- 39:04Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 39:05Speaker 2: Tell you what, Hutton, if they go to 0-3 and
- 39:08Speaker 2: lose to the Giants and the Jets this early in
- 39:10Speaker 2: the season, you've got to put the Titans on that list, too,
- 39:13Speaker 2: of teams that are going to be battling out for–
- 39:15Speaker 2: Trinidad Chandler, whoever the number one quarterback is.
- 39:18Speaker 3: Maybe not Arch Manning.
- 39:19Speaker 1: Chad, in this state, in this city, opening up the stadium,
- 39:25Speaker 1: we know who the number one overall pick would be.
- 39:28Speaker 5: Arch.
- 39:29Speaker 2: I would think it would be the marketing ploy of
- 39:31Speaker 2: Arch Manning. Not that he's just marketing, but you get
- 39:34Speaker 2: my point.
- 39:35Speaker 3: You're right.
- 39:36Speaker 2: It would be Arch Manning. That's the guy you could
- 39:38Speaker 2: sell going into the new stadium.
- 39:39Speaker 3: The March for Arch. The March for Arch.
- 39:42Speaker 1: The Manning March. Next round's coming up your way straight ahead.
