Transcript
- 0:13Speaker 1: Hey, everybody, welcome to Pink Shade. It's Thursday, and you
- 0:16Speaker 1: know what that means. We're going to talk about things
- 0:18Speaker 1: in pop culture, babe, but mostly we're going to talk Bravo.
- 0:21Speaker 1: I've got my friends here, Gibson, John's of gabbing with
- 0:25Speaker 1: gibb an expert, I might say on Bravo, how are
- 0:28Speaker 1: you doing?
- 0:29Speaker 2: I'm doing well, how are you? Thanks for I'm happy
- 0:32Speaker 2: to be back on the Pink Shade.
- 0:33Speaker 1: Okay, now listen, We've got lots to talk about.
- 0:38Speaker 2: Okay, we do. There's a lot going on.
- 0:40Speaker 1: Okay. Now. Number one, I'm not a summer house girly,
- 0:44Speaker 1: but I am following the drama.
- 0:46Speaker 2: Okay.
- 0:47Speaker 1: I did get a note on Spotify that I need
- 0:49Speaker 1: to stop talking about it if I don't watch the show,
- 0:50Speaker 1: but I disagree.
- 0:52Speaker 2: What's it like following it not watching the show? That's
- 0:56Speaker 2: an interesting experience.
- 0:58Speaker 1: It is because I have such a strong feeling that like,
- 1:01Speaker 1: Kyle is the victim, only because I know the dynamics.
- 1:06Speaker 1: I was like, okay, so he was runs with this
- 1:07Speaker 1: guy they were getting into. But people are like, you're
- 1:09Speaker 1: completely wrong because he's an asshole.
- 1:11Speaker 2: I was like, oh, okay, well here's the thing two
- 1:13Speaker 2: things gonna be true at once. You know, like Kyle
- 1:16Speaker 2: has mistreated Amanda through a lot of their relations He's
- 1:19Speaker 2: he's been a bad husband and boyfriend to her over
- 1:21Speaker 2: the year.
- 1:21Speaker 1: Okay, okay, But.
- 1:23Speaker 2: Also I think as we're seeing, especially watching the rest
- 1:26Speaker 2: this you know, back half of the season, through a
- 1:28Speaker 2: different lens, knowing what we know about Amanda and West,
- 1:33Speaker 2: it has reframed some of how are a lot of
- 1:35Speaker 2: how I think she has also contributed to the fracture
- 1:39Speaker 2: and fallout of their relationship. You know, she might not
- 1:42Speaker 2: have done as many sort of big glaring things, but
- 1:46Speaker 2: especially in you know, this season, maybe last season, like
- 1:49Speaker 2: she she's not she's not helping the situation, I would say,
- 1:53Speaker 2: but I only excuses how he has treated her. But
- 1:57Speaker 2: there's there's a mutual contribution to downfall of their relationship,
- 2:01Speaker 2: I would say.
- 2:02Speaker 1: Okay, So they were mutually responsible for you know, the
- 2:06Speaker 1: getting separated, getting divorced, Yeah, in different ways. But then
- 2:11Speaker 1: she took it to the next level by hooking up
- 2:13Speaker 1: with this guy that was her husband's friend and also
- 2:17Speaker 1: her one of her very close friend's ex boyfriend.
- 2:21Speaker 2: Yes, okay, yes, And to me, like the bigger betrayals
- 2:25Speaker 2: here are about friendship. Like I think that's why I
- 2:31Speaker 2: I agree that Kyle is a victim in this, but
- 2:34Speaker 2: I think that Sierra is the bigger victim in this.
- 2:37Speaker 1: Okay, Okay, now, because then you see the other side
- 2:41Speaker 1: and again because I know, I don't know, and you
- 2:43Speaker 1: see the other side where people say, yeah, she only
- 2:46Speaker 1: dated him for three months, it was like two years ago,
- 2:48Speaker 1: and who cares.
- 2:49Speaker 2: But it's it's coming out now that they were also
- 2:52Speaker 2: sort of hooking up this fall. I saw that this
- 2:54Speaker 2: morning and so and I had heard that, but Bravo
- 2:57Speaker 2: and Cocktails put it out this morning. Because next week's
- 3:00Speaker 2: finale we see them making out that they yeah Era
- 3:04Speaker 2: in West Yeah, that was in the preview for the
- 3:07Speaker 2: next week's episode. And so it goes beyond just like
- 3:10Speaker 2: becoming flirty friends again, like they start getting physical again,
- 3:13Speaker 2: and it's not so.
- 3:16Speaker 1: That changes everything that changes.
- 3:18Speaker 2: Yeah, that that argument that it was you know, a
- 3:22Speaker 2: stale three year old you know whatever, it kind of
- 3:25Speaker 2: goes out the window.
- 3:27Speaker 1: Okay, back in now, Sierra is the bigger victim.
- 3:30Speaker 2: Yep.
- 3:30Speaker 1: You can then, Wow, Well, I am going to watch
- 3:33Speaker 1: the reunion because you should.
- 3:35Speaker 2: Sometimes it's the TV event of the year.
- 3:37Speaker 1: I think, yeah, because sometimes when you watch a reunion,
- 3:40Speaker 1: even if like sometimes I dip out of a season,
- 3:42Speaker 1: like I kind of did this last year with Potomac.
- 3:44Speaker 1: I just wasn't into it, and I dipped out of
- 3:47Speaker 1: the season, and then I got back in at the reunion,
- 3:51Speaker 1: and so sometimes I.
- 3:52Speaker 2: Do to get the recap'st the recap and see how
- 3:55Speaker 2: we are going to seat up for the next year.
- 3:57Speaker 2: I totally got that. I'm a complaint. I'm like an
- 3:59Speaker 2: annoy a complete list, Like I have to watch all
- 4:02Speaker 2: of it for like my own, you know, mental state.
- 4:07Speaker 2: But like I understand tapping out and tapping back in
- 4:10Speaker 2: for the reunion. I think it's a good way to
- 4:11Speaker 2: do it if it's not working for you.
- 4:13Speaker 1: Now you posted that you yourself were on somewhere else.
- 4:17Speaker 2: I was, Yeah, I went to Lindsay's housewarming, which was
- 4:20Speaker 2: filmed for the show, and so I was hiding in
- 4:23Speaker 2: the background for that, not like or anything that was
- 4:28Speaker 2: in August, okay, on a Friday, and yeah, I was
- 4:33Speaker 2: sort of like huddled huddled in with like the non
- 4:37Speaker 2: show people basically who were invited, And I really it's
- 4:43Speaker 2: fascinating watching them film the show. You know, whenever I've
- 4:47Speaker 2: had opportunities to be at film events on various shows
- 4:51Speaker 2: over the years, that's what I'm really watching. Like, I'm
- 4:54Speaker 2: not really watching like trying to read their lips and
- 4:56Speaker 2: hear what they're talking about. It's more like, Okay, how
- 4:58Speaker 2: are the cameras moving around? Like the producer sort of
- 5:01Speaker 2: with their their you know, ear pieces, and they're they're
- 5:04Speaker 2: talking to each other, and some of them have like
- 5:06Speaker 2: little iPads where they can watch what's happening in real time,
- 5:10Speaker 2: like it's it's fascinating.
- 5:12Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like this looks interesting.
- 5:14Speaker 2: Run over there, Yeah, exactly.
- 5:16Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 5:16Speaker 2: Or they'll like tap one of them on the shoulder
- 5:18Speaker 2: and be like, you know, they're probably being like go
- 5:20Speaker 2: talk to this person or whatever, or you know, there's
- 5:22Speaker 2: only so many cameras and they're probably in a party
- 5:25Speaker 2: setting like that. There's a lot of conversations happening in
- 5:28Speaker 2: little groups, and so there's somebody listening as you know,
- 5:32Speaker 2: it could be in the other room even being like
- 5:35Speaker 2: like trying to hear all of the different microphones and
- 5:37Speaker 2: like if there's not a camera on, Sabrina and Amanda
- 5:41Speaker 2: talking about whatever there and they're they're starting to talk
- 5:46Speaker 2: about something interesting. Then you'll see the camp they're probably
- 5:49Speaker 2: tipped off by somebody listening and the cameras running over
- 5:52Speaker 2: to them to like try to film it.
- 5:53Speaker 1: You know.
- 5:54Speaker 2: Yeah, I nerd out on that kind of on that
- 5:57Speaker 2: kind of stuff.
- 5:58Speaker 1: And that's why you see a lot on Our Housewives
- 6:00Speaker 1: and stuff where it's like, can I talk to you
- 6:02Speaker 1: for a second over here, because they're like, if we
- 6:04Speaker 1: can get just the microphones isolated over here, then and
- 6:08Speaker 1: then probably at the same time, something else could be
- 6:11Speaker 1: happening over here, like the Ladies of London this season,
- 6:13Speaker 1: we saw when Kimmy and miss A had that argument
- 6:20Speaker 1: and Margo went and jumped in, but then you kept
- 6:23Speaker 1: panning over to Martha and Mark Brance's going, oh, how dreadful?
- 6:28Speaker 2: Right, yeah, exactly, yeah, exactly, Yeah. I love that kind
- 6:31Speaker 2: of stuff. Yeah, So that was like the most interesting
- 6:34Speaker 2: part of being at that because also like at that point,
- 6:37Speaker 2: like they'd been filming the season for two months or
- 6:38Speaker 2: like over a month or so month and a half maybe,
- 6:42Speaker 2: and so like I have no idea what but like
- 6:44Speaker 2: is going on in the season or what the drama
- 6:46Speaker 2: is or anything. So even trying to like pay attention
- 6:49Speaker 2: to that it's kind of silly because I don't know
- 6:51Speaker 2: what the lead up has been, you know, So I
- 6:53Speaker 2: wasn't there to get the tea. I was just more
- 6:55Speaker 2: there to like experience it.
- 6:57Speaker 1: That's really cool, that's really cool. Well, well, so why
- 7:01Speaker 1: and again, don't come at me, I understand I don't
- 7:04Speaker 1: watch Summerhouse people. My question is, if it's Lindsey's housewarming,
- 7:10Speaker 1: why wasn't that film for in the City because she
- 7:13Speaker 1: bought herself her own beach house.
- 7:15Speaker 2: No, this was her big new apartment in New York City, Okay,
- 7:19Speaker 2: And essentially this is the current season of season ten
- 7:23Speaker 2: of Summerhouse, and really what they viewed that at it
- 7:26Speaker 2: was like the transitional season for the show and for
- 7:28Speaker 2: a lot of the OG cast members. And so this
- 7:31Speaker 2: is Lindsay still had to be on the show because
- 7:33Speaker 2: in the City, in the in the context of this
- 7:36Speaker 2: show right now, Summerhouse in the City, that doesn't exist yet.
- 7:39Speaker 2: It's going to exist once they do the sort of
- 7:43Speaker 2: seamless transition from the Summerhouse finale in the City premiere,
- 7:48Speaker 2: then it will exist. And that's where Lindsay, I think,
- 7:50Speaker 2: will graduate into. I think the idea was for Kyle
- 7:54Speaker 2: Amanda Lindsay to transition out of Summerhouse after this season,
- 7:58Speaker 2: so they had to still have Lindsay around like also,
- 8:01Speaker 2: and also she moves for she moves story forward really
- 8:04Speaker 2: well for this group. She'll come in every few weekends
- 8:07Speaker 2: and get it pop in and like get stuff out
- 8:09Speaker 2: in the open. That's what happened this week. That's why
- 8:11Speaker 2: Kyle and Carl started fighting and she got something activated.
- 8:14Speaker 2: And so I think the idea was for them to
- 8:18Speaker 2: graduate into the show. I think that the West and
- 8:20Speaker 2: Amanda scandal, I think that has put everything kind of
- 8:27Speaker 2: in flux in terms of the plan for the Summerhouse universe. Yeah,
- 8:32Speaker 2: you know, it's like also to see her come back
- 8:34Speaker 2: or not. You know, TMZ says she is coming back,
- 8:36Speaker 2: which I would really love. But if si Eric goes back,
- 8:39Speaker 2: there's no way she's going to film with Amanda and West.
- 8:41Speaker 2: So like that means that they're probably off Summerhouse. So
- 8:43Speaker 2: does that mean that they still bring Kyle and Lindsay
- 8:46Speaker 2: and Carl back in some capacity? I don't know, but
- 8:50Speaker 2: I don't but I think the original plan is uh
- 8:55Speaker 2: maybe not the way they're going to fully go yet.
- 8:57Speaker 2: I don't know, But what to do.
- 9:00Speaker 1: Have you Have you seen the premiere of In the City.
- 9:04Speaker 2: I have not, no that that's best screener. Screener has
- 9:07Speaker 2: not been sent out yet.
- 9:09Speaker 1: Well yeah, but you will.
- 9:11Speaker 2: No, but but I've heard that it's ready and premiere
- 9:14Speaker 2: is on Tuesday, so we're gonna We're gonna get it soon.
- 9:18Speaker 2: And and the Bravo exec said that there's going to
- 9:25Speaker 2: be a scene that was filmed recently at the beginning
- 9:28Speaker 2: of that episode, So I don't know what that looks like.
- 9:30Speaker 1: He'll be a current day and then I'll go exactly.
- 9:34Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly, but like and my guess, my guess is
- 9:37Speaker 2: that's Kyle and Amanda just you know, but I don't.
- 9:40Speaker 2: I don't know because Western Sierra aren't on In the City.
- 9:43Speaker 2: I guess cast members at least not yet. Yea, yeah,
- 9:46Speaker 2: exactly exactly.
- 9:47Speaker 1: Are they going to do a shina walking into the
- 9:50Speaker 1: kitchen at sir transition.
- 9:53Speaker 2: Yeah, They've said that it's going to be part of
- 9:55Speaker 2: like a two hour event, so like and they call
- 10:00Speaker 2: it a backdoor pilot, So I think that's what's going
- 10:04Speaker 2: to happen. I don't my my like vision of it
- 10:06Speaker 2: from the since the moment they announced in the city
- 10:09Speaker 2: that we knew was happening. Yes, my vision is they
- 10:13Speaker 2: show Lindsay driving back into the city. They just so
- 10:16Speaker 2: show Kyle and Kyle and Amanda driving back into the
- 10:18Speaker 2: city together like packing up from summerhouse, and they arrive
- 10:22Speaker 2: at their apartments and maybe there's like I don't know,
- 10:25Speaker 2: one of the other cast members meets up with them
- 10:28Speaker 2: for a drink or you know, Kyle Amanda go back
- 10:31Speaker 2: to their apartment and like they're not in a good
- 10:32Speaker 2: place and it's kind of quiet, and it's like, all right,
- 10:34Speaker 2: this is our life in the city now. But I
- 10:36Speaker 2: think it's gonna be that's my guest. They drive back.
- 10:40Speaker 1: Okay, okay, because I love I love when they do that.
- 10:42Speaker 1: You know, I loved it. I was waiting that was
- 10:44Speaker 1: waiting through the valley. I was like, are they gonna
- 10:46Speaker 1: have somebody walk out us their get in the car
- 10:48Speaker 1: and then drive to the valley.
- 10:50Speaker 2: You know, it wasn't it wasn't it. Jack's going to
- 10:52Speaker 2: like the boys night and then he like drives over
- 10:54Speaker 2: the hills into the valley.
- 10:56Speaker 1: Yeah, it was all about like Jack's getting out of
- 10:58Speaker 1: a car. I just remember that they can and that
- 11:00Speaker 1: was I mean, we knew Jackson was terrible, but that
- 11:02Speaker 1: was before we knew he was. We thought he was
- 11:05Speaker 1: level a physical abuse level. Yeah, yeah, we thought he
- 11:08Speaker 1: was level seventy five. We didn't know he was level
- 11:10Speaker 1: one hundred.
- 11:11Speaker 2: Totally. Yeahs So I do love I also love a
- 11:15Speaker 2: backdoor pilots. I think it's a really fun thing that
- 11:17Speaker 2: rarely happens. It's only happened, it happened less than five times,
- 11:21Speaker 2: and so it works. It's a fun way. Yeah, and
- 11:23Speaker 2: it works exactly.
- 11:25Speaker 1: Okay, you said, Lindsay. And that reminded me of this week.
- 11:29Speaker 1: Lindsay and Michael Rappaport got into an online beef. Yeah,
- 11:34Speaker 1: that was crazy. That was great. So I guess he
- 11:36Speaker 1: came out and just did as he does, like blah
- 11:39Speaker 1: blah blah, I hate her and it was calling her
- 11:41Speaker 1: like old mother Hubbard and all this and just giving
- 11:43Speaker 1: his opinion on her on Summer House. And I mean,
- 11:47Speaker 1: I you know, before all this Trader stuff and everything,
- 11:51Speaker 1: I was okay with Michael Rappaport coming on Watch What
- 11:54Speaker 1: Happens Live and having opinions. I thought he was kind
- 11:55Speaker 1: of funny. But by god, he's making himself so hated
- 11:58Speaker 1: with all this shit.
- 12:00Speaker 2: He yeah, he's not. He's not a good reader of
- 12:04Speaker 2: the room, I would say. I say, like yeah, and
- 12:07Speaker 2: like and maybe that's the point with him, Like maybe
- 12:10Speaker 2: he always wants to ruffle feathers and take the unpopular
- 12:14Speaker 2: opinion and go against the grain. Like I think that's
- 12:16Speaker 2: kind of like his emo in a way, you know,
- 12:19Speaker 2: like having unpopular opinion just to rile people up. But yeah,
- 12:24Speaker 2: I guess he Like he was like, I know she's
- 12:26Speaker 2: a single mom, but like her only her only storyline
- 12:29Speaker 2: for the past two years has been Carl and it's
- 12:31Speaker 2: like and she was like, well, I actually had a
- 12:33Speaker 2: baby last year and was pregnant on the show last year,
- 12:36Speaker 2: so that was a huge storyline. So it's like he
- 12:39Speaker 2: just he's not even talking in facts. So and one
- 12:43Speaker 2: thing about Lindsay is that like she will shut get
- 12:46Speaker 2: activated and shut shit down. And so that's so she did.
- 12:49Speaker 2: I don't I don't think he responded to her to
- 12:51Speaker 2: her response, so he.
- 12:53Speaker 1: Did either, And I like she's just like walking around
- 12:56Speaker 1: her house film and like not giving a ship you.
- 12:58Speaker 2: Know, exactly that in the game right now.
- 13:02Speaker 1: And then another thing that I saw today that was
- 13:05Speaker 1: fascinating was Meredith Lynch, who I know, did a big
- 13:10Speaker 1: post about how much she hates Bethany. This is not
- 13:12Speaker 1: the first one. She does posts all the time, but
- 13:13Speaker 1: how much she hates Bethany. Okay, okay, So she just
- 13:17Speaker 1: went on your piece of shit, you know, you scam
- 13:20Speaker 1: nonprofit maga. You know, she just went on a rant
- 13:22Speaker 1: against Bethany, as she does.
- 13:24Speaker 3: And Andy liked it so interesting and I ran right
- 13:32Speaker 3: to the comments and all the all the Bravo influencers
- 13:36Speaker 3: like not Andy like in this post.
- 13:38Speaker 1: Wow.
- 13:40Speaker 2: Wow, I mean it's it's really it's so fascinating think
- 13:44Speaker 2: about how much that friendship has deteriorated. I mean, he
- 13:48Speaker 2: won't even say her name anymore, Like he calls her Margret.
- 13:51Speaker 1: Lady, Yeah, lady.
- 13:55Speaker 2: I love that he calls her on like the radio
- 13:57Speaker 2: show and stuff whenever she comes up, like.
- 14:02Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 14:03Speaker 1: Because you think about he was friends. He was in
- 14:05Speaker 1: all those Hampton circles with Carol and Bethany and in
- 14:08Speaker 1: those New York circles and stuff, and then of course
- 14:11Speaker 1: there was that falling out at the reunion that time
- 14:13Speaker 1: when Carol confronted Andy, is that are you scared over too?
- 14:18Speaker 1: And then he was a fight with Carol for a
- 14:20Speaker 1: while but now she's coming back to New York.
- 14:23Speaker 2: M M.
- 14:25Speaker 1: Carol played the long game.
- 14:27Speaker 2: Carol played the long game, and she knew she went
- 14:31Speaker 2: out and lived her life in a way that Bethany
- 14:33Speaker 2: thinks she's doing that. But Bethany weighs in on every
- 14:37Speaker 2: possible thing in the entire world, much less pop culture,
- 14:41Speaker 2: much less ronny, you know, like she yes, yes, she
- 14:44Speaker 2: talks about everything. And she I mean also like she
- 14:47Speaker 2: was a big part of like the quote unquote reality
- 14:50Speaker 2: reckoning effort a couple of years ago, and like that
- 14:53Speaker 2: was an effort to take Andy down and Bravo down,
- 14:56Speaker 2: you know. And I think that that is that's something
- 15:02Speaker 2: that like hits very personally to them, and they' obviously
- 15:04Speaker 2: they get very protective over it. So like I think
- 15:06Speaker 2: that was sort of that was the line, in my opinion,
- 15:10Speaker 2: the reality reckoning stuff. But she also, like I don't know,
- 15:13Speaker 2: she says a lot of out of pocket shit. I
- 15:15Speaker 2: think Bethany is like occasionally, you see, I'll see a
- 15:18Speaker 2: video of her pop up and I'm like, all right,
- 15:19Speaker 2: she kind of has a point there, or like oh
- 15:21Speaker 2: she's kind about this, yes, but like you know, broke
- 15:23Speaker 2: a broken clock, you know, twice is right twice a day,
- 15:26Speaker 2: but like she says so much that inevitably a lot
- 15:30Speaker 2: of it's going to be wrong and not necessarily land well.
- 15:34Speaker 2: And the thing is, I don't really think she cares
- 15:37Speaker 2: that Andy doesn't that Andy is off her.
- 15:40Speaker 1: You know, she doesn't care. But I mean, it is
- 15:43Speaker 1: fascinating that the Meredith Lynch, who I like a lot,
- 15:46Speaker 1: who just not only is she be like, okay, guys,
- 15:49Speaker 1: here are some facts about this company that Bethany was
- 15:52Speaker 1: the part of, but she's just like, you're a piece
- 15:55Speaker 1: of shit, narcissist, racist. I mean, she just says the
- 15:57Speaker 1: worst things, and I'm always like, how are you get
- 16:00Speaker 1: away with that? Because she never says allegedly you know right.
- 16:04Speaker 2: Yeah, definitely seems like somebody who's pretty libeless, you know, sure, yes, yes, yeah.
- 16:11Speaker 1: That's interesting. But I think she married at the steid before.
- 16:14Speaker 1: She can't sue me because everything I'm saying is true
- 16:16Speaker 1: and I've got receist to back it up. I'm like, okay, girl,
- 16:19Speaker 1: you guys aren't following Meredith Lynch. It's a fun watch.
- 16:22Speaker 1: So there was that there were so many things going
- 16:24Speaker 1: on in the last couple of days. I mean, like
- 16:28Speaker 1: they announced that Alex Murdock is getting a new case,
- 16:31Speaker 1: getting a new trial.
- 16:32Speaker 2: Oh I didn't see that. I didn't see that.
- 16:33Speaker 1: Now, yeah, you were busy working, But that.
- 16:35Speaker 2: Was there's a lot of Bravo stuff.
- 16:37Speaker 1: God, yes, and there was Bravo stuff going that was
- 16:39Speaker 1: announced today. And then Gibson for my people, for my
- 16:44Speaker 1: ninety Day fiance people, it has been announced that there
- 16:47Speaker 1: will be a ninety Day Con.
- 16:50Speaker 2: That's huge in Vegas.
- 16:53Speaker 1: I don't know. They literally said it's coming and like
- 16:56Speaker 1: no location, no date, it's coming. And I was like,
- 17:01Speaker 1: don't do this to us. TLC.
- 17:03Speaker 2: Yeah, well, if they're smart, they do it this year,
- 17:07Speaker 2: which is the off year for Bravo Con. Don't. I
- 17:11Speaker 2: don't think you want it to compete. I think you
- 17:12Speaker 2: want it to Yeah, you know.
- 17:14Speaker 1: Because there's a lot of crossover. And I I because
- 17:18Speaker 1: you know, like I do a lot of ninety Days
- 17:20Speaker 1: and I do Bravo on Thursdays, and ninety day is
- 17:23Speaker 1: my literal bread and butter and my life. And so
- 17:26Speaker 1: I wrote to my ninety day, my TLC contact that
- 17:29Speaker 1: helps me with stuff, and I said, just please tell
- 17:32Speaker 1: me it will not be this one particular weekend in
- 17:34Speaker 1: October where I'm going to be in New York for
- 17:36Speaker 1: like a meetup that like we have put a deposit
- 17:38Speaker 1: down for a place like just just please tell me that.
- 17:42Speaker 1: Other than that, you don't have to tell me anything,
- 17:43Speaker 1: and I can guarantee you it is not that weekend
- 17:45Speaker 1: in October?
- 17:46Speaker 2: Okay?
- 17:47Speaker 1: Love?
- 17:48Speaker 2: Is that is that Bravo fan Fast weekend?
- 17:52Speaker 1: I believe that it's the same as Bravo FanFest in Charleston.
- 17:57Speaker 2: But you're going to be in New York.
- 17:58Speaker 1: I'm going to be in New York, So which means
- 17:59Speaker 1: I want you? Is that what we're finding out now?
- 18:02Speaker 2: I mean I want to go. I need I should
- 18:04Speaker 2: go to fan vest. I don't know what the particular
- 18:06Speaker 2: is of it, but they'll send you.
- 18:08Speaker 1: They'll send you a press baskets.
- 18:10Speaker 2: I hope. So I was. I was not invited to
- 18:12Speaker 2: last fan Fest, so I don't know. It's a smaller event.
- 18:16Speaker 1: I did say they're going to have to watch what
- 18:18Speaker 1: Happens Lives, so it's not that small.
- 18:21Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, that's true.
- 18:22Speaker 1: I love an excuse to go to Charleston, but no,
- 18:25Speaker 1: I believe I'm going to be in New York that weekend.
- 18:27Speaker 1: But that's going to be all announced guy soon, so
- 18:29Speaker 1: don't worry about it. But anyway, they told us nothing.
- 18:31Speaker 1: Even for those of us ninety day podcasters that have
- 18:34Speaker 1: all the insight, they told us nothing.
- 18:36Speaker 2: Wow. Yeah. And it's also like there's also a Dancing
- 18:38Speaker 2: with the Stars Con this year, Like there are people
- 18:41Speaker 2: are people are seeing how successful BRAVACN has been and
- 18:46Speaker 2: getting these you know, more quote unquote niche fandoms together,
- 18:50Speaker 2: and yeah, it's really smart. It's really smart, and like
- 18:54Speaker 2: it's it's also must be exciting prospect for you to
- 18:56Speaker 2: like because I love and you're part of this too,
- 18:59Speaker 2: But like being at Brava Con with like all the
- 19:01Speaker 2: other creators and podcasters that are around these shows is
- 19:04Speaker 2: so that to me is the best part. Honestly, it's
- 19:07Speaker 2: like that's the most because we know we always recording
- 19:09Speaker 2: with each other on zoom and like to be in
- 19:11Speaker 2: person with each other, like that's a I love that
- 19:14Speaker 2: part of it.
- 19:15Speaker 1: I loved seeing you in your cute sunglasses and you're
- 19:18Speaker 1: so tall and handsome, and you were you were everywhere
- 19:24Speaker 1: Brava Con, everywhere I looked there with Skipson, I.
- 19:27Speaker 2: Run around that venue like a chicken with his head
- 19:29Speaker 2: cut off, just everywhere, all at once. Don't really sleep
- 19:34Speaker 2: that much that weekend. But that's what it's all about.
- 19:36Speaker 2: You know, Vegas, there's stuff happened at all times. It's
- 19:40Speaker 2: good for business. You just gotta I just gotta go
- 19:42Speaker 2: for it. So I expect to see I expect you
- 19:45Speaker 2: know what, man at ninety eight con. You need to
- 19:49Speaker 2: have like a live like a go pro live streamer
- 19:51Speaker 2: every move.
- 19:54Speaker 1: I was like, I've been training my whole life for this,
- 19:57Speaker 1: and I put up. I put up the stuff that
- 19:58Speaker 1: they send us with the rocky music, like I'm ready there.
- 20:02Speaker 2: Yeah, the training starts now.
- 20:04Speaker 1: Just I wrote to my my TLC person, So I'm stretching,
- 20:08Speaker 1: I'm getting ready. I'm gonna, I'm gonna, I'm gonna get
- 20:10Speaker 1: back into Pilate's I'm gonna, I'm doing it.
- 20:13Speaker 2: Yes, there we go.
- 20:16Speaker 1: Okay, I mentioned Ladies of London a second ago. Did
- 20:18Speaker 1: you had a chance to interview cast members?
- 20:22Speaker 2: I just the only person that I got pitched was Margot,
- 20:25Speaker 2: which was like, you know, it is what it is,
- 20:28Speaker 2: what it is with Margo. But yeah, I interviewed her.
- 20:32Speaker 2: You know, it definitely made me like her a little
- 20:34Speaker 2: bit more. But I also interviewed her, and I think
- 20:36Speaker 2: that the timing was probably intentional on like the pr
- 20:40Speaker 2: person's part. I'm guessing before the Mark Francis like the
- 20:45Speaker 2: freak thing had happened, so you know, she was she was.
- 20:49Speaker 2: She was already ruffling feathers on the show, of course,
- 20:51Speaker 2: but like not to that level, and that like the
- 20:54Speaker 2: accusations that were made about how she you know, what
- 20:57Speaker 2: she said about him. So the interview did make me
- 21:01Speaker 2: like appreciate her a little bit more. But also by
- 21:05Speaker 2: the end of the season, I was sort of like,
- 21:07Speaker 2: h girl, like, I don't know about this.
- 21:10Speaker 1: But then she had that People magazine article come out
- 21:13Speaker 1: that say, you know, she she knew that something was
- 21:16Speaker 1: off with her and her personality, and so she went
- 21:18Speaker 1: and got you know, her hormones while all out of
- 21:20Speaker 1: whack and everything, you know, for being the age that
- 21:22Speaker 1: she isn't having a baby, and then that's going to
- 21:24Speaker 1: make your hormones go crazy. So I felt like, so
- 21:27Speaker 1: Mark Francis was on Watch What Happens Live, and he
- 21:30Speaker 1: had nothing nice to say about her, only bad things
- 21:33Speaker 1: to say. And then that article came out the next day,
- 21:36Speaker 1: which I think was a little calculated to make him
- 21:39Speaker 1: look bad.
- 21:40Speaker 2: Yeah, definitely, she knows, she knows she's doing she's trying
- 21:42Speaker 2: to say face, which you know she's entitled to do so,
- 21:45Speaker 2: but you know, no reason to forget what she's said. Comment.
- 21:49Speaker 2: Yeah exactly. And also like that final scene where she
- 21:53Speaker 2: sits down with him and she's like, you want to
- 21:56Speaker 2: have sex with me, That's what's going on here, And
- 21:58Speaker 2: I was like, what are you talking about? Like literally,
- 22:00Speaker 2: what are you talking about?
- 22:02Speaker 1: I think her whole thing is like, why are you
- 22:03Speaker 1: obsessed with me? Like I think you want to fuck me?
- 22:05Speaker 1: And I was like, and I think all of that
- 22:07Speaker 1: is like her trying being funny, like he's obsessed with me,
- 22:11Speaker 1: but it's not funny. And also when she called him freak,
- 22:13Speaker 1: and also when she said you're so weird prance away.
- 22:17Speaker 2: Oh I didn't catch that one. Yeah, oh somebody else.
- 22:21Speaker 1: I was talking who said they didn't Oh, Amy Phillips.
- 22:24Speaker 1: She was like, I didn't catch that. I go go back.
- 22:26Speaker 1: She goes, You're so weird, and he was walking off
- 22:28Speaker 1: and she said prance away.
- 22:30Speaker 2: Oh that's bad, it's bad, it's not.
- 22:33Speaker 1: Oh.
- 22:34Speaker 2: So in my interview with her, I was I was
- 22:39Speaker 2: because I think her friendship with Martha is like kind
- 22:41Speaker 2: of intriguing in like their backstory. They clearly like I've
- 22:43Speaker 2: done like crazy things together, you know, And so I
- 22:46Speaker 2: was she was telling me about like their early years
- 22:48Speaker 2: together and she's like, yeah, we were both modeling, you know.
- 22:50Speaker 2: I was doing Hard versus Bizarre and this, that and
- 22:53Speaker 2: the other, and Martha was doing the Town and Country.
- 22:56Speaker 2: And I didn't take it as like shady. But then
- 22:59Speaker 2: after the season end and Martha DMed me and she
- 23:03Speaker 2: was like, hey, I heard Margo say that, you know,
- 23:07Speaker 2: she was doing Harper's Bizarre and I was doing Town
- 23:10Speaker 2: and Country. Let the record show that I was doing
- 23:13Speaker 2: Italian Vogue and I was the face of the Royal Ascot.
- 23:16Speaker 2: Thank you very much. I love that woman.
- 23:21Speaker 1: I love Martha. And she posted something with John Hill
- 23:27Speaker 1: and John Hill's dog and something and I wrote under
- 23:29Speaker 1: it like, oh my god, John, I'm so excited you
- 23:31Speaker 1: got to meet Martha. And she wrote under it and
- 23:33Speaker 1: did like a little hay and I was like, well,
- 23:35Speaker 1: that's it, love, That's done. And I loved how and
- 23:40Speaker 1: watch What Happens Live. She was so honest because Andy
- 23:42Speaker 1: was asking her like how has this been for you?
- 23:44Speaker 1: And she goes, are you kidding? Me, it's been great,
- 23:46Speaker 1: She says, to get five hundred DMS today for people
- 23:48Speaker 1: telling you how much they love you, like totally, and
- 23:51Speaker 1: I love I love that honesty, not to be like, oh,
- 23:54Speaker 1: it's been overwhelming or I just like that honesty if like,
- 23:56Speaker 1: who wouldn't want to get five hundred DMS today telling
- 23:58Speaker 1: you're great? You know?
- 24:00Speaker 2: And yeah, I think that that was part of what
- 24:02Speaker 2: I found really refreshing about the show overall, which was that, like,
- 24:06Speaker 2: and I posted a clip of me actually talking about
- 24:08Speaker 2: this on my podcast where I was like, it feels
- 24:11Speaker 2: like or like the vibe is like, it's not Housewives
- 24:15Speaker 2: or like a new younger show on Brava where it
- 24:17Speaker 2: feels like everybody's there to get more famous and get
- 24:19Speaker 2: a bunch of brand deals and start a brand and
- 24:22Speaker 2: all that kind of stuff. Like that's not the that's
- 24:24Speaker 2: not the vibe of the show. The vibe of the
- 24:25Speaker 2: show to me as a bunch of people who like,
- 24:28Speaker 2: we're like why not to sign up for a reality
- 24:30Speaker 2: show like for shits and giggles basically, And I firmly
- 24:34Speaker 2: sort of stand by that being the vibe. But then she,
- 24:36Speaker 2: of course, it sounds like she's pretty online She commented
- 24:39Speaker 2: under that she was like, no, please, I need the
- 24:41Speaker 2: brand deals. I really want brand deals, And I was like,
- 24:44Speaker 2: I'd love her to get at brand deals as well.
- 24:45Speaker 2: But my point still stands in that it feels like
- 24:49Speaker 2: an authentic group of people who aren't there to climb
- 24:53Speaker 2: a ladder, you know.
- 24:54Speaker 1: It feels like a very show. Yeah, a very different
- 24:57Speaker 1: show than anything we've seen, and I loved it. So
- 25:02Speaker 1: they did, they did some they did some announcements, but
- 25:04Speaker 1: they didn't announce that show.
- 25:06Speaker 2: Yeah, Ladies of London was not announced. I think I
- 25:08Speaker 2: think it's it had just ended and it's in the
- 25:11Speaker 2: press release. It was still called out as like recently finale.
- 25:14Speaker 2: I think was the was the wording they used with
- 25:17Speaker 2: Beverly Hills, and Beverly Hills was the top rated show
- 25:20Speaker 2: on Bravo, So it being lumped in with that does
- 25:22Speaker 2: not make me worried about it. I just think they're
- 25:24Speaker 2: not rushing into rushing into it. And also it's like,
- 25:28Speaker 2: I think they could film Ladies of London whenever. It's
- 25:31Speaker 2: not like it's like tied to like a specific time
- 25:33Speaker 2: of year or whatever. Like I think that, like them,
- 25:37Speaker 2: I'm hopeful about it. Basically, even though it wasn't officially
- 25:40Speaker 2: renewed yet.
- 25:41Speaker 1: Personally, I'm hopeful about it. Just because they had so
- 25:43Speaker 1: many cast members go and watch What Happens live. I
- 25:45Speaker 1: think that's always a big sign.
- 25:47Speaker 2: Yeah, and Mark Martha got this huge New York Times profile,
- 25:50Speaker 2: like at the very end of the season. They like
- 25:53Speaker 2: this show. Like I don't know how big it was
- 25:55Speaker 2: in the ratings, but I think that they feel they
- 25:57Speaker 2: feel hopeful about it in general, and like it was
- 25:59Speaker 2: a word of mouth wise, like it was all positive
- 26:03Speaker 2: about this show. Like nobody I've talked to who's watched
- 26:06Speaker 2: the show that didn't like it. I think it's amazing.
- 26:08Speaker 1: Agree, Agree, And we covered it and generally I don't
- 26:11Speaker 1: cover a Bravo show like a recap style, right, but
- 26:14Speaker 1: it happened to fall into a spot where the show
- 26:17Speaker 1: we normally cover Ladies No Love after lock Up, which
- 26:21Speaker 1: we call mug Shot Monday, that show was off, so
- 26:25Speaker 1: we were like, we put in Monarch Monday instead.
- 26:28Speaker 2: That's it.
- 26:29Speaker 1: People people loved it. People loved it.
- 26:31Speaker 2: Yeah, it's an amazing show. It's a really it's a
- 26:34Speaker 2: great reality show, and it's and it feels retro in
- 26:36Speaker 2: a good way.
- 26:37Speaker 1: Yes, Yes, yes, yes, okay the Valley. I know The
- 26:41Speaker 1: Valley isn't hitting on all cylinders as it has been
- 26:45Speaker 1: in the past, but I'm like you, I'm a complete
- 26:47Speaker 1: thisst I'll never stop watching it. Yeah, what are your
- 26:51Speaker 1: thoughts on what's happening with The Valley.
- 26:56Speaker 2: It's hard because it's like it has the less the
- 26:59Speaker 2: lighter that viewers were wanting without Jax being there as
- 27:04Speaker 2: this big clout over the show. It's finally what people wanted,
- 27:08Speaker 2: but in reality it's not fully working. Like it does
- 27:12Speaker 2: feel like there's something missing. Yeah, I also kind of
- 27:15Speaker 2: feel like we're like still in this like Kristin, Janet
- 27:19Speaker 2: Britney Hamster Wheel, you know, and I'm kind of like
- 27:22Speaker 2: over this kind of dynamic and like just loop that
- 27:29Speaker 2: we're on with that. Like I kind of feel like
- 27:30Speaker 2: they need to just like learn to coexist with Janet
- 27:33Speaker 2: and not you know, like like it's I just don't
- 27:36Speaker 2: believe she's the villain that everyone's painting her out to
- 27:38Speaker 2: be and so like, yeah, she's like she's bad at
- 27:41Speaker 2: apologies and doesn't really apologize and always wants something back,
- 27:44Speaker 2: and like it's not very good at the reading the
- 27:46Speaker 2: room and all that stuff. Can be true, but like
- 27:48Speaker 2: she's not this evil person that I think a lot
- 27:51Speaker 2: of people kind of think of her as. So I'm
- 27:54Speaker 2: just kind of like move on, like let's change up
- 27:56Speaker 2: the dynamic on the show. Like there's just something repetitive
- 28:00Speaker 2: about it and also something missing. And yeah, it's hard.
- 28:04Speaker 2: I just it's long. I hate it. It's just like
- 28:07Speaker 2: I'm not excited to watch it at all.
- 28:11Speaker 1: I think that Danny and Nia thing is so dark.
- 28:14Speaker 2: It is.
- 28:15Speaker 1: It's dark. And when he said this last week, when
- 28:18Speaker 1: he said when she was like I'm ready to ride
- 28:20Speaker 1: rides and all that, and he said, you're being performative,
- 28:24Speaker 1: and she said what And then she tries to then
- 28:27Speaker 1: backpedal that to be like this is Funnia, You've just
- 28:30Speaker 1: forgotten because we have four kids. He forgot it's like
- 28:34Speaker 1: two days ago. Like what do you mean he forgot?
- 28:36Speaker 1: I mean, so that was her trying to say, like,
- 28:38Speaker 1: don't saying I'm being performative because I'm fun. And then
- 28:42Speaker 1: he's bitching at her about swaddling the baby. Why two
- 28:45Speaker 1: times she was trying to He's yelling.
- 28:47Speaker 2: At her, Oh my god, He's like, really, I mean
- 28:51Speaker 2: I get to my own home. I've been on the
- 28:54Speaker 2: Danny sucks train since season one, and he yelled at
- 28:57Speaker 2: her when he yelled at her at that dinner table
- 28:58Speaker 2: when he was drunk on the group trip like that,
- 29:01Speaker 2: I was like, Oh, there's something there and these and
- 29:03Speaker 2: she's a pageant girl, he's an actor. They don't want
- 29:06Speaker 2: it come up there. They try to cover it up
- 29:08Speaker 2: so much. And I think they were able to cover
- 29:10Speaker 2: it up for a couple of years there because Jack's
- 29:12Speaker 2: was there and he took up a lot of the
- 29:14Speaker 2: auction in the room and he was the big bad wolf,
- 29:17Speaker 2: rightfully so. But now he's not there anymore, and there's
- 29:20Speaker 2: no other place for them to hide, and I think
- 29:23Speaker 2: Danny's really sinister and he's showing his cards, and Nia
- 29:28Speaker 2: isn't authentic. She tries to hide it all so grown
- 29:30Speaker 2: under the rug. Doesn't want to show any sort of
- 29:33Speaker 2: negative parts of hers, of her other than like postpartum,
- 29:37Speaker 2: which I think is obviously very legitimate to show, but
- 29:40Speaker 2: like in terms of her relationship, she doesn't want to
- 29:42Speaker 2: show anything bad about it. And that's also part of her,
- 29:45Speaker 2: I think, being performative and wanting to be like, oh,
- 29:48Speaker 2: like you know what we saw at the in San Diego.
- 29:51Speaker 2: So yeah, yeah, there, that's bleak.
- 29:55Speaker 1: To me, it's bleak. And I didn't like him mean
- 30:00Speaker 1: to her when she was trying to eat. Nope, you know,
- 30:02Speaker 1: because I was like, and I understand probably for her,
- 30:06Speaker 1: it's very important for her torself to get her back
- 30:07Speaker 1: to the way she looks because all of that is
- 30:09Speaker 1: sort of ingrained in her how she feels about herself. Yeah,
- 30:13Speaker 1: but you guys had four kids in four years, and
- 30:19Speaker 1: that's rough. That's going to be rough on anybody. And that,
- 30:24Speaker 1: oh that's so. I can't understand. Who was I talking
- 30:27Speaker 1: to you about Danny and Nia? It was Amy Phelips.
- 30:31Speaker 1: I'm trying to remember because Amy Phllips lives in Santa Clarita.
- 30:34Speaker 2: Oh she does.
- 30:36Speaker 1: And when they said on the episode, when they were
- 30:39Speaker 1: like when Zach was like, I took my dysentery pills
- 30:41Speaker 1: to go to Santa Clair, like it's so far. I
- 30:45Speaker 1: sent her a text, I said, are you able to
- 30:47Speaker 1: get amazon to day in Santa Clarita? And she wroent back,
- 30:50Speaker 1: what are you talking about? Because she hasn't just just
- 30:55Speaker 1: just yes or no, And she goes, are you sending
- 30:57Speaker 1: me a present? And I said, no, I just want
- 30:58Speaker 1: to know, do you get Amma on two day in
- 31:00Speaker 1: Santa Glarita. She's like yes. Then she saw the episode
- 31:03Speaker 1: two was like, you.
- 31:04Speaker 2: Bitch, and that is so funny. Oh my god. She's like,
- 31:09Speaker 2: it's like the Santa Clarita stray is really happening. Like
- 31:13Speaker 2: it's it's a they're not painting a very nice picture
- 31:17Speaker 2: of it. I've never been there.
- 31:18Speaker 1: But it looks nice to me. It looks like where
- 31:21Speaker 1: I would probably live and lived in La I'd have
- 31:23Speaker 1: to live an hour outside, you know.
- 31:25Speaker 2: I think it looks great. It's just like he he
- 31:29Speaker 2: seems like a very selfish person in their relationship, and.
- 31:32Speaker 1: She didn't want to go there.
- 31:34Speaker 2: She didn't want to go there, and like, not just
- 31:36Speaker 2: like because it's far, but also like, think about them
- 31:39Speaker 2: filming this show. The commute they have to do to
- 31:42Speaker 2: film every scene they do that's not their house. It's
- 31:45Speaker 2: over an hour to get anywhere to film with their
- 31:47Speaker 2: other castmates. And it's like that with four under four
- 31:52Speaker 2: or whatever it is that is that is really hard. Really.
- 31:55Speaker 1: I wonder if it is near their church. Kate Casey,
- 32:01Speaker 1: our friend, did a deep dive on their church on
- 32:05Speaker 1: her on her Patreon.
- 32:08Speaker 2: And that was.
- 32:08Speaker 1: It's a little kind of it reminds me a lot
- 32:12Speaker 1: of that church, like a mega church that the one
- 32:15Speaker 1: that Justin Bieber belonged to. It reminds me.
- 32:17Speaker 2: Of that like New Age got it okay, but.
- 32:21Speaker 1: Some very backwards thoughts. Freak sure, So that doesn't make
- 32:29Speaker 1: me happy. Are you loving the new season of Atlanta?
- 32:34Speaker 2: I'm really liking it and I think that especially this
- 32:36Speaker 2: Dallas trip has been really fun. I think it's been
- 32:39Speaker 2: like listen, it's I think with Atlanta more so than
- 32:44Speaker 2: like any other franchise right now, people are so hung
- 32:50Speaker 2: up on the good old glory days of that show,
- 32:54Speaker 2: when Nini was around, when Keny was around, and those
- 32:57Speaker 2: were those were like some of the best housewives ever
- 32:59Speaker 2: to happen. Like those seasons, yes, but but like you,
- 33:03Speaker 2: it's also like an impossible standard to hold it too
- 33:05Speaker 2: without those women there, Like Nini is not coming back,
- 33:08Speaker 2: Kenya is not there, so we have to like embrace
- 33:12Speaker 2: what we have. And I think that they've done a
- 33:13Speaker 2: really good job of rebuilding the show, Like the past
- 33:15Speaker 2: couple of seasons have been like pretty dire of I agree.
- 33:20Speaker 1: The last couple of seasons, I was like, I don't
- 33:22Speaker 1: know these.
- 33:22Speaker 2: People, right, but like, I'm sorry, but yeah, this season,
- 33:26Speaker 2: I'm like, okay, I'm watching at the dinner table, Porsche, Phedra,
- 33:30Speaker 2: Cynthia Drew like they're Angela, Like these people are good housewives.
- 33:37Speaker 2: It's fun to watch them together. I'm laughing a lot
- 33:39Speaker 2: watching the show now, and we're having old school obviously
- 33:44Speaker 2: sparring back with the with the Pinky and Angela's scene.
- 33:48Speaker 2: Even since Cynthia in this last episode, whether she was
- 33:51Speaker 2: having no time for like Pinky and Kelly and them,
- 33:53Speaker 2: like I was living for that. I think it's I
- 33:56Speaker 2: think that's having a really great season so far. I'm
- 33:59Speaker 2: I'm really happy be about it.
- 34:01Speaker 1: I think the whole thing with the room being dirty
- 34:03Speaker 1: and Cynthia's like, obviously nobody wants to be in a
- 34:06Speaker 1: dirty room. Obviously nobody wants to be responsible for somebody
- 34:09Speaker 1: having a dirty, dirty room. I'm doing everything I can
- 34:12Speaker 1: to fix it. I'm so sorry. I was like the
- 34:15Speaker 1: dirty room is like, yeah.
- 34:18Speaker 2: That dirty. It's also not even that dirty.
- 34:20Speaker 1: It wasn't even that dirty. But I mean, I think
- 34:22Speaker 1: Shemia is you know, I think Smia probably has several
- 34:25Speaker 1: housekeepers that live in her home.
- 34:26Speaker 2: Sure, but it's also like, and I posted this on threads,
- 34:29Speaker 2: I think, but I was like, part of the reason
- 34:31Speaker 2: why this that part's like not landing is because like
- 34:34Speaker 2: there is a way on Housewives to complain about your
- 34:37Speaker 2: room on a group trip in a way that's like
- 34:39Speaker 2: funny and kind of campy and like you're complaining, but
- 34:43Speaker 2: it's just like in a more I don't know, like
- 34:46Speaker 2: leaning in. They're just being such negative nancies about it
- 34:50Speaker 2: and just like it's so energy suck like vibes, and
- 34:53Speaker 2: I'm just like, oh, like it's so downer and it's like.
- 34:57Speaker 1: Refusing to come to dinner because their room was dirty?
- 35:00Speaker 2: Are you kidding me? And then they watched it from
- 35:01Speaker 2: the side of the pool, and then but then they
- 35:02Speaker 2: still come back up when they realize it's going to
- 35:04Speaker 2: be a big moment once they hear all the yelling
- 35:06Speaker 2: and they want to be on It's like, that was
- 35:09Speaker 2: so silly to me. And then Ky Michelle, who I
- 35:11Speaker 2: really like. I think Michelle is a great addition to
- 35:13Speaker 2: the show. But her refusing to come to dinner because
- 35:16Speaker 2: her glam didn't show up, but then still filming with
- 35:20Speaker 2: Shemia and Kelly, Yeah, you're still on camera. The dinner's
- 35:24Speaker 2: at the house on the balcony like relax.
- 35:28Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't love ka Michelle.
- 35:30Speaker 2: I gotta tell you.
- 35:32Speaker 1: Okay, she rubs me the wrong way. I could end
- 35:35Speaker 1: up from do you like Pinky?
- 35:37Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 35:37Speaker 1: I do like thinky Oh, you do like thinky Okay,
- 35:41Speaker 1: I just like.
- 35:41Speaker 2: Her whole vibe, like her.
- 35:43Speaker 1: I just like the Okay, we have to end with
- 35:46Speaker 1: talk of Rhode Island. Okay, I wasn't caught up, and
- 35:49Speaker 1: now I'm caught up. I had a real problem, Gibson,
- 35:52Speaker 1: A real problem with their faces, okay, in that I
- 35:56Speaker 1: could not I could not get a rosie from m Kelsey.
- 35:59Speaker 1: I could. I had to make a spreadsheet with little
- 36:02Speaker 1: photos bullet points by their names, and then started Gibson.
- 36:09Speaker 1: I'm devoted. I had to start again. I started to
- 36:12Speaker 1: get into episode one. After that was spreadsheet together, and
- 36:17Speaker 1: then consulted it as I watched it, so by the
- 36:19Speaker 1: time I got to three, I didn't have to look
- 36:20Speaker 1: at my spreadsheet anymore.
- 36:22Speaker 2: I love that for you you are you're helping yourself
- 36:24Speaker 2: out with this like that is and listen, you're not
- 36:27Speaker 2: the only one to have some some you know, tough
- 36:31Speaker 2: times to apart. Yes, and also doesn't what doesn't help
- 36:36Speaker 2: the situation, and it's actually a good problem to have,
- 36:39Speaker 2: which is that they have like waterboarded us with details
- 36:45Speaker 2: about all these women's backstories and how they're interconnected with
- 36:48Speaker 2: each other. You know, who slept with whose husband before
- 36:51Speaker 2: they were married, and I went to high school with you,
- 36:53Speaker 2: so like it's hard. That makes it actually harder to
- 36:56Speaker 2: keep track of who was who because it's like, wait
- 36:57Speaker 2: a second, so was it was Alicia who was new
- 37:02Speaker 2: x y Z person and went to communion with them
- 37:04Speaker 2: before they dated his sister? Like it's like I don't
- 37:06Speaker 2: remember any of those details because we weren't either inundated.
- 37:11Speaker 1: Yeah, they could have, they could have slid some of
- 37:13Speaker 1: that in towards the end or in season two, because
- 37:15Speaker 1: the season one, I'm already just trying to figure out
- 37:17Speaker 1: who you are and who your husband is or your
- 37:19Speaker 1: boyfriend or whatever, and then to slide in your husband's
- 37:23Speaker 1: brother slept with Alisha or where, I'm like, huh, I'm
- 37:26Speaker 1: gonna have to insult my spreadsheet again and then I'm
- 37:29Speaker 1: but I'm loving it, and I want to know that
- 37:33Speaker 1: in real time, Rula is not with her husband, but
- 37:36Speaker 1: she still is, right.
- 37:37Speaker 2: She still is. Yeah, he was. He was there to
- 37:40Speaker 2: support her on Watch Happens Live after the episode, at
- 37:43Speaker 2: the derby or at the polo match. So, you know,
- 37:48Speaker 2: it feels like one of those things where it's like
- 37:50Speaker 2: they're putting up this front. They're gonna try as hard
- 37:52Speaker 2: as they can for as long as they can until
- 37:54Speaker 2: it doesn't hold up. But also we know from the
- 37:58Speaker 2: mid season trailer that there is footage and they do
- 38:03Speaker 2: talk about on the show when he was arrested for
- 38:07Speaker 2: tracking her in the fall.
- 38:10Speaker 1: Why does he care where she is and he's supposed
- 38:12Speaker 1: to be looking for his girlfriend.
- 38:13Speaker 2: Well, that's it's it's we knew that. We knew that,
- 38:16Speaker 2: we knew why Rula would want to track her husband.
- 38:19Speaker 2: Why is he trying to track her?
- 38:20Speaker 1: We don't know, right, she just seems so meek, you know,
- 38:25Speaker 1: she just seems so like everything's fine.
- 38:28Speaker 2: You know, like it's like it's like, try harder to
- 38:30Speaker 2: make us believe that because I'm not believing this.
- 38:32Speaker 1: You know, I just have a lot of personality from
- 38:34Speaker 1: her other than her husband's a cheater, you know.
- 38:37Speaker 2: Yeah, I think that her I think her appeal is
- 38:41Speaker 2: this story, is this marriage, and even her talking about
- 38:45Speaker 2: why she didn't go to the Rhode Island mansions, and
- 38:48Speaker 2: she's like talking about you know, she she felt she
- 38:51Speaker 2: felt faint and then her stomach started to her and
- 38:54Speaker 2: then she had to be, you know, brought to the
- 38:56Speaker 2: emergency room. And then it was like this crazy It
- 38:59Speaker 2: was kind of giving Tom's house is broken into, you know,
- 39:03Speaker 2: the famous Erica Jane soliloquy. You know, so she's full
- 39:08Speaker 2: of shit, But I.
- 39:09Speaker 1: Didn't believe a word of it, because let me tell
- 39:11Speaker 1: you what I have been in that situation where I've
- 39:14Speaker 1: been in the hospital and had all these tests and
- 39:16Speaker 1: trying to figure out what's wrong with me, and I
- 39:18Speaker 1: didn't look that good. I look like I've been hit
- 39:21Speaker 1: by a sweaty truck. So you know, you don't just
- 39:25Speaker 1: you know what I mean, You just don't look that
- 39:26Speaker 1: good if you have had so many illnesses that you've
- 39:29Speaker 1: had the MRIs and the caskins and they're trying to
- 39:31Speaker 1: figure out what's wrong with you, you don't look that pretty
- 39:33Speaker 1: in your bed, right right right.
- 39:35Speaker 2: She was like full glam, full beat, and you know
- 39:38Speaker 2: that the whole thing about what really happened with them
- 39:43Speaker 2: leaving before the polo match and then coming.
- 39:45Speaker 1: Back right, Well, no, tell me. I mean what they
- 39:50Speaker 1: said was that he was he went and did something
- 39:52Speaker 1: with his girlfriend. But what's the story.
- 39:54Speaker 2: Yeah, so she was threatening to she was threatening to
- 39:56Speaker 2: show up to filming apparently, and Kelsey sort.
- 40:00Speaker 1: Of the girl, the mistress.
- 40:02Speaker 2: The mistress, and so the Kelsey sort of got to
- 40:06Speaker 2: got was insinuating this on while Chapman's Live, and there
- 40:09Speaker 2: was a whole social media post somewhere about it. Apparently
- 40:12Speaker 2: Allegedly the phone call was from the mistress actually, and
- 40:17Speaker 2: she was threatening to show up to the polo match
- 40:19Speaker 2: because she knew they were filming, probably be a Joe Ellen,
- 40:23Speaker 2: and he had to put a stop to it. He
- 40:25Speaker 2: couldn't show up and like she couldn't show up and
- 40:27Speaker 2: like blow it all up on camera basically, So he
- 40:30Speaker 2: drove and like I guess calmed her down or whatever.
- 40:33Speaker 2: Nobody knows exactly what happened, but he was with her apparently,
- 40:37Speaker 2: that's the that's the but Rula was with him when
- 40:41Speaker 2: he lied no member. She she called them from her house,
- 40:44Speaker 2: so he dropped her off, yes, uh huh, and then
- 40:48Speaker 2: picked her back up. That's that's the going theory and story.
- 40:52Speaker 1: And then some but would Rula like ask his mom
- 40:55Speaker 1: and dad like, are you sick? Are you at that?
- 40:57Speaker 2: I think I think Rula knew it was fake.
- 41:00Speaker 1: Oh okay, she knew that.
- 41:02Speaker 2: This is I think she was in on like the
- 41:03Speaker 2: cover up, like don't let this crazy woman come blow
- 41:07Speaker 2: up our spot on the on the show. Okay you go,
- 41:10Speaker 2: do you go deal with this, figure your shit out,
- 41:12Speaker 2: and then come picking back up and won't go back
- 41:14Speaker 2: to the polo match. That's what that's the vibe I'm getting.
- 41:17Speaker 1: Because it was I listen, I again couldn't figure out
- 41:20Speaker 1: Joellen from a hole in the wall. But then once
- 41:23Speaker 1: like once I got who she was. I love her.
- 41:25Speaker 1: I love how she walked up to him and he's
- 41:27Speaker 1: looking at his phone and she goes, oh, are you
- 41:29Speaker 1: looking at Instagram because she had just seen that boast?
- 41:32Speaker 1: She goes you checking Instagram?
- 41:34Speaker 2: She last and I love it.
- 41:36Speaker 1: I love her.
- 41:37Speaker 2: Love it.
- 41:38Speaker 1: That old story this past week about her mother just
- 41:41Speaker 1: shuffling it off and her to explain like, I didn't
- 41:44Speaker 1: have bad grades, I wasn't a whore. I didn't do this,
- 41:46Speaker 1: I didn't do that. My mother just was scared that
- 41:48Speaker 1: I was pretty and I was going to become that
- 41:50Speaker 1: so she set me off to all these like abusive
- 41:52Speaker 1: boarding skulls. I was like, crazy, what is that?
- 41:55Speaker 2: One? Was that one of them for a year her
- 41:56Speaker 2: entire freshman year of high school. And then the only
- 41:59Speaker 2: reason why the mom brought her back home and she
- 42:00Speaker 2: was thought she was suddenly, you know, good to be
- 42:03Speaker 2: back at home, is because they threatened to take custody
- 42:05Speaker 2: away from her. The government like that's.
- 42:07Speaker 1: Great, that's that's trauma.
- 42:10Speaker 2: Wow. And the sister was also at one of these places.
- 42:13Speaker 2: I think they said she got sent first, so that's like,
- 42:15Speaker 2: that's that's that'll really stay with you.
- 42:18Speaker 1: I think, yeah, yeah, oh my god. Well I'm going
- 42:23Speaker 1: to tell you I'm so glad that I'm caught up
- 42:25Speaker 1: on it because I was like lagging behind because I
- 42:28Speaker 1: couldn't get their faces. And I was like, what I
- 42:30Speaker 1: need is like a whole day and a half where
- 42:33Speaker 1: I don't have other ninety day stuff to do to
- 42:35Speaker 1: really grill down on this. And I did. I went
- 42:37Speaker 1: to the beach. I was all by myself, which was
- 42:39Speaker 1: like the joy of my life had I just had
- 42:42Speaker 1: it on my phone walking around everything I was doing
- 42:45Speaker 1: and just watched all of it. After I got my
- 42:47Speaker 1: spreadsheet together.
- 42:48Speaker 2: There we go. That is I love that. I would
- 42:52Speaker 2: love to have seen that, the footage of that happening.
- 42:54Speaker 2: You just you know, at the beach doing your thing, just.
- 42:58Speaker 1: Clipping off at Instagram into my redsheet and then bullet points,
- 43:01Speaker 1: bullet points you know, Alicia, not married, been together, making.
- 43:06Speaker 2: A spreadsheet on your Patreon with people.
- 43:10Speaker 1: Well some of my notes. Maybe you know.
- 43:14Speaker 2: The way that I have to unpublishable.
- 43:16Speaker 1: Well, no, just like the way I describe people's faces
- 43:19Speaker 1: is the way for me to remember it.
- 43:21Speaker 2: Got it?
- 43:21Speaker 1: Sure, I can kind of like right away, Rosie gave
- 43:24Speaker 1: me Kate Middleton vibes.
- 43:27Speaker 2: Yeah, I see that, Rosie the little the newscaster.
- 43:33Speaker 1: Yeah, she gave me. I thought she was kind of
- 43:35Speaker 1: like Kate Middleton. And then I had to think, like
- 43:38Speaker 1: I can remember Ashley I because eye is long and
- 43:41Speaker 1: Ashley has a long nose. Like these are the ways
- 43:43Speaker 1: after this is my childhood.
- 43:47Speaker 2: Whatever you need to do to remember that's what you did,
- 43:50Speaker 2: remember like it's it's your board.
- 43:52Speaker 1: I got everybody, you know, I got everybody know you know,
- 43:54Speaker 1: Like I put for for Liz, I put like two
- 43:58Speaker 1: Tan Dolores.
- 44:00Speaker 2: Yeah, uh yeah, yeah, these.
- 44:02Speaker 1: Are things three kids, not hers, but don't say that.
- 44:05Speaker 1: You know that kind of thing.
- 44:07Speaker 2: That kind of thing, ye kind of.
- 44:08Speaker 1: Thing, Gibson. Tell everybody where they can find your podcast.
- 44:12Speaker 1: You guys, Gibson. I don't know how he does it.
- 44:14Speaker 1: He always has the best interviews. He's at every event.
- 44:17Speaker 1: I've told him a million times. I am a short
- 44:19Speaker 1: training ride away. If you ever need a plus one,
- 44:23Speaker 1: I'm right on that train. I will be there. I
- 44:26Speaker 1: will be there. Gibson gets invited to everything. So by
- 44:31Speaker 1: the way, if you can ever get invited to a
- 44:32Speaker 1: DC thing, if you don't contact me, we're going to
- 44:35Speaker 1: be in a fight.
- 44:35Speaker 2: Okay, Okay, we weren't friends. We weren't friends yet when
- 44:41Speaker 2: I the only big Bravo thing I've ever done in
- 44:43Speaker 2: DC was like the season six premiere of Real Housewives
- 44:49Speaker 2: of Potomac. I like moderated a panel for them down
- 44:51Speaker 2: on the wharf, but they I don't know why, just
- 44:54Speaker 2: that season they did like a big DC thing. But
- 44:56Speaker 2: otherwise I feel there's never really been that much in DC.
- 45:00Speaker 2: But hopefully for Potomac we got something next season or something. Okay, well, okay.
- 45:04Speaker 1: Now tell everybody where they could find you in all
- 45:06Speaker 1: your great interviews and everything.
- 45:07Speaker 2: Of course, my podcast is called Gabbing with GiB You
- 45:10Speaker 2: can find it wherever you get pink shade. You can
- 45:13Speaker 2: follow me on any social media platform at Gibsonoma or
- 45:18Speaker 2: at Gabbing with GiB where I clip out my interviews
- 45:20Speaker 2: and stuff and post all my threads and all that
- 45:23Speaker 2: kind of stuff. And yeah, that's that's it. I always
- 45:27Speaker 2: love chatting with you, Mary Payne. This is You're always
- 45:29Speaker 2: such a it's it brightens my day, honest.
- 45:32Speaker 1: Gibson is so good on threads, you guys. I got
- 45:34Speaker 1: to get better at it. I'm just you know, I'm
- 45:37Speaker 1: trying to, like, I'm so scared of Twitter that I'm
- 45:40Speaker 1: trying to.
- 45:40Speaker 2: Like no, and then threads is th Threads is like
- 45:43Speaker 2: a definitely like a there's definitely some crazies on there,
- 45:46Speaker 2: and like it's it can be a frustrated place, as
- 45:49Speaker 2: any social media platform can be. But also it kind
- 45:53Speaker 2: of feels like old Twitter and that like a lot
- 45:55Speaker 2: of the Bra celebrities are active on there right now,
- 45:58Speaker 2: and like it's you're not gonna it's it's not really
- 46:01Speaker 2: like a lot of Maga trolls but popping popping up
- 46:05Speaker 2: very often, so it's a little bit of a safer place,
- 46:07Speaker 2: I think.
- 46:08Speaker 1: So okay, I like, all right, well i'm gonna, I'm gonna.
- 46:11Speaker 1: I'm gonna try to do it now. I'm trying. Listen,
- 46:13Speaker 1: I'm a lady.
- 46:13Speaker 2: Certain it's all we can do. We can try working.
- 46:15Speaker 1: I'm working, okay. Everybody, make sure you're following Gibson and
- 46:18Speaker 1: make sure you're following me at Pink Shade Pod. Thank you,
- 46:21Speaker 1: Thank you.
