- 0:00Speaker 1: The squad is facing backlash for claiming modern-day lynchings are
- 0:05Speaker 1: now common in America. Congresswoman AOC warns of unchecked, quote,
- 0:10Speaker 1: racial terror, while Ayanna Pressley says black people are hanging
- 0:14Speaker 1: from trees. In a letter signed by 50 Democrats, they
- 0:18Speaker 1: demand DOJ and FBI to launch an investigation into hanging
- 0:22Speaker 1: deaths of black Americans. But officials ruled that most of
- 0:26Speaker 1: these recent cases were suicides. while one case in Mississippi
- 0:30Speaker 1: is being investigated as a homicide. And a suspect was
- 0:34Speaker 1: arrested in connection to that case on Friday. Despite this,
- 0:38Speaker 1: the far left has used race to stoke fear many
- 0:41Speaker 1: times before.
- 0:42Speaker 2: Check it out. Every genocide enabler, look at this.
- 0:47Speaker 3: Room's... We ain't going anywhere. If you are in this
- 0:51Speaker 3: country and you are not black, you benefit from a
- 0:56Speaker 3: system of white supremacy.
- 0:58Speaker 2: Our country should be more fearful.
- 1:02Speaker 1: Of white men across our country because they are actually
- 1:07Speaker 1: causing most of the deaths within this country. Listen, something
- 1:15Speaker 1: like a lynching should never be taken lightly. If something
- 1:18Speaker 1: like that happens, it should be on the front page
- 1:21Speaker 1: of the papers. And whoever does something like that should
- 1:25Speaker 1: get the full force of law. There's no there's no.
- 1:29Speaker 1: tolerance for that type of behavior in this country. There
- 1:32Speaker 1: is hatred that's stoked on both political spectrums at the
- 1:37Speaker 1: far ends right now, I think, because people are more
- 1:41Speaker 1: divided than ever. But this idea that racial tension in
- 1:44Speaker 1: this country is at a place that people need to
- 1:47Speaker 1: be alarmed. Kevin, I mean, you know, I'll come to
- 1:50Speaker 1: you first as the black man on the panel who
- 1:52Speaker 1: understands this from a different perspective. But I just don't understand,
- 1:56Speaker 1: and maybe you've seen something I haven't. Like, where are
- 2:00Speaker 1: they coming from here? When you look at the 10
- 2:02Speaker 1: cases they cited, it's largely black officials who have ruled
- 2:07Speaker 1: these as suicides, who have done the investigation of the
- 2:11Speaker 1: one that has ruled the homicide. It was a black
- 2:14Speaker 1: man who potentially murdered his black girlfriend. I hate even
- 2:20Speaker 1: prefacing all this with black. The point is, this wasn't racial.
- 2:24Speaker 1: It was maybe it's indicative of the suicide epidemic in
- 2:28Speaker 1: this country. Maybe you want to look at why are
- 2:31Speaker 1: these people committing suicide? Why is domestic violence to the
- 2:35Speaker 1: point that you've murdered your girlfriend? Why aren't we saying
- 2:38Speaker 1: more about that? But that's not a race thing. That's
- 2:40Speaker 1: a people thing. That's a people in this country thing.
- 2:42Speaker 2: Absolutely right.
- 2:43Speaker 4: And I think this is pernicious. There are people who
- 2:46Speaker 4: do this on purpose. And You've heard the expression race hustlers.
- 2:50Speaker 4: These are people who are trying to stoke racial animus
- 2:55Speaker 4: and frankly, hatred for other groups because it pays. It
- 2:58Speaker 4: may pay politically. It may pay financially.
- 3:02Speaker 2: And there are.
- 3:03Speaker 4: Those who would say, Kevin, you got it all wrong.
- 3:05Speaker 4: These things are happening and you are putting your head
- 3:07Speaker 4: in the sand. The stats don't bear that out. You know,
- 3:11Speaker 4: that's not true. But people will sell that because they
- 3:14Speaker 4: think it's effective. And you have to understand that more people,
- 3:17Speaker 4: thank God, are aware of the lies. More people are
- 3:21Speaker 4: aware of the misinformation. And more people are skeptical of
- 3:24Speaker 4: the stats that they read. And when people make wild claims,
- 3:28Speaker 4: and I think that's good for this country because... If
- 3:30Speaker 4: we all were back in 1970 and we heard this,
- 3:33Speaker 4: maybe we might think something different. But they can't lie
- 3:35Speaker 4: the way they could before. They can say it, but
- 3:37Speaker 4: people don't believe it in the same way.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Tommy, it reminds me of Bubby Wallace in NASCAR. They
- 3:42Speaker 1: found a noose tied in the rope of the garage
- 3:45Speaker 1: door for his specific stall. at a track and the
- 3:49Speaker 1: next week all the drivers are circled around him and
- 3:52Speaker 1: like marching with him in NASCAR and it's like you
- 3:54Speaker 1: know the underlying issue here is like that NASCAR must
- 3:57Speaker 1: be inherently racist because it's a southern sport then within
- 4:00Speaker 1: days you find out that noose had been tied there
- 4:02Speaker 1: for years it had nothing to do with him And
- 4:05Speaker 1: somebody just tied the knot. They knew how to tie
- 4:07Speaker 1: to get a loop to pull that door down. And
- 4:09Speaker 1: so it's like this overreaction. I think that was more
- 4:12Speaker 1: genuine than this is. But it's this idea that because
- 4:15Speaker 1: the statement they made is the series of deaths raised
- 4:17Speaker 1: significant suspicion of foul play. Given the role of lynching
- 4:21Speaker 1: in our nation's history, they're going back and digging up
- 4:24Speaker 1: graves from 100 years ago or 60 years ago or
- 4:27Speaker 1: 80 years ago to justify outrage today over something that
- 4:31Speaker 1: no evidence whatsoever backs that up.
- 4:34Speaker 5: And to Kevin's point, it's because it gets people emotional
- 4:37Speaker 5: and it gets people riled up. And that might be
- 4:39Speaker 5: effective if you're trying to get people angry. These are
- 4:42Speaker 5: also the same people who say there's a genocide in
- 4:45Speaker 5: Gaza and Israel's exacting a genocide.
- 4:47Speaker 2: It's the same lines.
- 4:49Speaker 5: It's the same. appeal to the lowest common denominator to
- 4:53Speaker 5: get people angry and to get people to hate one another.
- 4:56Speaker 2: And it's ridiculous.
- 4:57Speaker 5: I would also say the death of the young gentleman,
- 4:59Speaker 5: I believe it was Nolan Wells, if I'm correct on
- 5:02Speaker 5: the name. If I'm not, please correct me. Immediately it was,
- 5:05Speaker 5: this has to be racial. Look at his friends. His
- 5:07Speaker 5: friends are white. It has to be racial. It's like,
- 5:10Speaker 5: why would you search out racism and try to concoct
- 5:15Speaker 5: it where it likely doesn't exist, how does that benefit
- 5:18Speaker 5: anybody in the situation? And I think it's cheap. I
- 5:22Speaker 5: think it's low-hanging fruit for a lot of these morons.
- 5:24Speaker 2: In the squad.
- 5:25Speaker 5: And it would be nice to see them act more
- 5:27Speaker 5: appropriately and less recklessly, but.
- 5:29Speaker 2: I don't count on that.
- 5:30Speaker 1: Kayleigh, when we put this in the greater political landscape,
- 5:33Speaker 1: I mean, obviously, the Black Lives Matter movement had immediate
- 5:37Speaker 1: dividends for folks that went out and, as Kevin said,
- 5:40Speaker 1: race hustled.
- 5:40Speaker 2: A lot of money went into those organizations.
- 5:42Speaker 1: We still don't know where it went. But there was
- 5:44Speaker 1: a lot of energy, I guess, in certain communities that
- 5:47Speaker 1: felt downtrodden and oppressed in general to see someone say,
- 5:51Speaker 1: you know, there's a racism in this country that needs
- 5:53Speaker 1: to be solved. I don't know that that is going
- 5:55Speaker 1: to work again. I feel like that ran its course.
- 5:59Speaker 1: People didn't buy it. The proof wasn't there. And folks
- 6:02Speaker 1: moved on. And I feel like the squad is almost
- 6:04Speaker 1: trying to reinvent that and just really grasping at straws here.
- 6:07Speaker 3: Well, and it's ironic, right, because even AOC was on
- 6:09Speaker 3: record just last month, dismissing a lot of what happened
- 6:12Speaker 3: during the Black Lives Matter era as woke one.
- 6:14Speaker 2: So here's my question for AOC.
- 6:16Speaker 3: Is this part of the woke one that you're now renouncing?
- 6:19Speaker 2: Or actually, are you renouncing it at all?
- 6:21Speaker 3: Because it seems like you're just hopping right back on
- 6:23Speaker 3: that bandwagon. And to your guys' point, so many of
- 6:27Speaker 3: these race-debating hoaxes The left would rather believe that because
- 6:30Speaker 3: what they do not want to believe is that America
- 6:33Speaker 3: is capable of outgrowing the sins of the past. They
- 6:36Speaker 3: do not want to believe that Americans are good and
- 6:38Speaker 3: decent people who truly do believe in.
- 6:41Speaker 2: Equality and justice.
- 6:42Speaker 3: They would rather think the worst of Americans and think
- 6:44Speaker 3: the worst of us as a country. And, you know,
- 6:47Speaker 3: I was in Dallas last week for the midterm convention,
- 6:49Speaker 3: and President Trump in his speech made an excellent point
- 6:52Speaker 3: that I think really needs to be the message that
- 6:54Speaker 3: we hit home ahead of November, which is that America
- 6:57Speaker 3: does not.
- 6:57Speaker 2: Belong to those who hate it. It belongs to those
- 6:59Speaker 2: who love it.
- 7:00Speaker 3: This is why the left can never be allowed to
- 7:02Speaker 3: get control or power ever again, because they truly think
- 7:05Speaker 3: the worst of this country, and they do.
- 7:07Speaker 2: Not respect it.
- 7:08Speaker 1: Yeah. They're not indicting these communities as well, saying that
- 7:14Speaker 1: those officials like the Cobb County chairwoman, Lisa Cupid, who
- 7:18Speaker 1: said this was a homicide. She's a black woman. Cleveland
- 7:20Speaker 1: police chief in Mississippi, Travis Tribble, black man. Jackson, Mississippi
- 7:25Speaker 1: police chief, Rashawn Brackney, a black man. The idea that
- 7:29Speaker 1: racism is afoot and they're covering up something really is
- 7:33Speaker 1: just kind of mind blowing to me. Be sure to
