- 1:45Speaker 6: in a while, so maybe I'll do that a little
- 1:47Speaker 6: bit later on. I do want to mention this. I
- 1:51Speaker 6: had said that we were going to talk to some
- 1:55Speaker 6: folks from Saint Albans about an upcoming chili event that
- 1:57Speaker 6: they have that has actually been moved Wednesday, the seventeenth.
- 2:02Speaker 6: We'll get to it, but it won't be till then.
- 2:03Speaker 6: What I do want to get to though today, and
- 2:05Speaker 6: that's always just time for your calls and text big

- 2:16Speaker 6: The final regular season homestand for the Dirty Birds over
- 2:19Speaker 6: at Gomar Ballpark, they begin a long homestand against Gastonia.
- 2:22Speaker 6: The the Ghost Peppers' gearing from the Dirty Birds is
- 2:25Speaker 6: here to talk about. Hey, Jill, how you going?
- 2:27Speaker 2: Oh?
- 2:27Speaker 6: Good morning the Ghost Peppers.
- 2:29Speaker 9: Yeah, the Ghost Peppers.
- 2:31Speaker 6: Is that a relatively new name for our opponents?
- 2:33Speaker 2: Sir?
- 2:33Speaker 9: Yes, they changed it this year. Actually last year they
- 2:36Speaker 9: went through a new ownership, so they were just called
- 2:38Speaker 9: the Gastonia Baseball Club and they tested out about six
- 2:41Speaker 9: different alternate identities or potential identities than they did a
- 2:45Speaker 9: fan vote, and the Ghost Peppers won.
- 2:47Speaker 6: Well, I kind of like it. I mean it's it's different, yeah,
- 2:50Speaker 6: and that's in the world of baseball. I mean that's
- 2:52Speaker 6: what everybody wants. They want these different name like the
- 2:55Speaker 6: Honey Badgers and what's the most unique name you've ever heard?
- 2:58Speaker 9: Ooh?
- 3:00Speaker 6: I mean it's kind of a.
- 3:01Speaker 4: That's a hard one.
- 3:01Speaker 9: I mean, the Dirty Birds is one that a lot
- 3:03Speaker 9: of people definitely remember there.
- 3:06Speaker 6: Were And that's the thing. When the name changed happened
- 3:09Speaker 6: a couple of years ago, there was a little controversy
- 3:10Speaker 6: about it whatever, And I said then and you and
- 3:12Speaker 6: the other folks said that The thing about it is
- 3:15Speaker 6: is people that are really into baseball on the non
- 3:19Speaker 6: non big league level, they love these unique names. And
- 3:22Speaker 6: it's about the merchandise. And I promise you people have
- 3:25Speaker 6: ordered Dirty Birds merchandise that couldn't find Charleston, West Virginia
- 3:28Speaker 6: on a map exactly.
- 3:29Speaker 9: I know someone at least from Oregon. I remember specifically
- 3:31Speaker 9: filling one from Oregon last week.
- 3:33Speaker 6: People go online and they just looked for it for
- 3:35Speaker 6: these unique things. Yeah, all right, So it's a final
- 3:37Speaker 6: homestand gets underway tonight. Talk about the season over off
- 3:40Speaker 6: the Dirty Bard. It's not exactly where we wanted to be,
- 3:43Speaker 6: but still fun. No job.
- 3:45Speaker 9: Yeah, so, no no playoffs this year, unfortunately. I know
- 3:48Speaker 9: we had high hopes after going to the championship game
- 3:51Speaker 9: last season, but this is PJ. Phillips, our manager, only
- 3:54Speaker 9: his second time in his managerial career to not make
- 3:57Speaker 9: the playoffs. So we know next year he's going to
- 4:00Speaker 9: come back and have a great team for us. But overall,
- 4:04Speaker 9: we've had a great time at the stadium. Weather was
- 4:06Speaker 9: a little iffy, lot of rain, a lot of hot days,
- 4:09Speaker 9: but the boys still had a great time. Any fan
- 4:11Speaker 9: that did come to the ballpark, I hope that you
- 4:12Speaker 9: all had a good time and you got six more
- 4:14Speaker 9: days to come back out and enjoy some baseball.
- 4:16Speaker 6: Let's take it day by day. What's you got going
- 4:18Speaker 6: on tonight?
- 4:18Speaker 9: So today is our two dollars Tuesdays it's usually two
- 4:22Speaker 9: dollar tickets hot dog, soda, popcorn, but we are partnering
- 4:26Speaker 9: with Mountaineer Food Bank where if you bring three canned
- 4:29Speaker 9: food items you get to have a free ticket to
- 4:33Speaker 9: the ball game. So it is cheaper than two dollars
- 4:35Speaker 9: depending on where you go get your canned food items,
- 4:38Speaker 9: and you're helping give back to the community.
- 4:40Speaker 6: And that's a big part of what the Dirty Birds do. Yeah,
- 4:42Speaker 6: I mean it's I mean from this event to we'll
- 4:46Speaker 6: be over there in October for annual or not backpack
- 4:50Speaker 6: attack or trick or beat. I should say I get
- 4:52Speaker 6: our events mixed up sometimes and selango loll light the
- 4:54Speaker 6: night you folks in this and Andy Shay and all that.
- 4:56Speaker 6: I mean, you really like giving back to the community, definitely,
- 4:59Speaker 6: I mean that.
- 4:59Speaker 9: That's frankly why here. Andy. She called me up about
- 5:01Speaker 9: two years ago and said, I need someone to help
- 5:05Speaker 9: handle our community relations. Will you come and do that?
- 5:07Speaker 9: And that's that's why I'm here in Charleston right now,
- 5:09Speaker 9: is to help build that community aspect of the team.
- 5:13Speaker 6: There's not a single event I can think of around
- 5:15Speaker 6: Charleston that you guys aren't part of.
- 5:17Speaker 10: Either.
- 5:17Speaker 6: You've got Dusty the mascot out there. You yourself show up,
- 5:20Speaker 6: other people show up. I know when we did the
- 5:22Speaker 6: backpack attack a couple of weeks ago. I mean it
- 5:24Speaker 6: was like one hundred degrees out there, and Dusty was
- 5:26Speaker 6: out there, you know, being Dusty. We made sure Dusty
- 5:29Speaker 6: was hydrated, Yes exactly. Let Dusty go inside the building,
- 5:33Speaker 6: you know from time to time. All right, So that's
- 5:34Speaker 6: what's happening tonight. Let's go to Wednesday.
- 5:36Speaker 9: Tomorrow is our Wolf Wednesday. Your dogs can come to
- 5:40Speaker 9: the ballpark for free and there will be a little
- 5:42Speaker 9: water bowls sometimes the little giveaways, depending on what community
- 5:45Speaker 9: partners we have there. Thursday is actually kind of a
- 5:49Speaker 9: newer promotion. Most teams do a fan appreciation night on
- 5:52Speaker 9: the last game of the season. We decided to do
- 5:54Speaker 9: it on Thursday. So we have some partners coming out
- 5:57Speaker 9: to give free items. You can get some free dirty Birds, morece,
- 6:00Speaker 9: some free coupons from McDonald's, free coupons from Dave and
- 6:03Speaker 9: Busters and some other community partners that we have. And
- 6:08Speaker 9: also Thursdays are always thirsty Thursdays, so it is one
- 6:12Speaker 9: dollar beer and water from five thirty to seven thirty,
- 6:15Speaker 9: then it increases to four dollars. So that's Thursdays. Friday
- 6:19Speaker 9: is our last giveaway, and as you mentioned, Selingo Law
- 6:23Speaker 9: Light the Night is coming up. We're kind of doing
- 6:25Speaker 9: a giveaway surrounding that. So the first five hundred fans
- 6:28Speaker 9: get a shirt that says Naughty List MVP with the
- 6:32Speaker 9: Hay image of Dusty. And also that's the first five hundred,
- 6:36Speaker 9: but every single fan that walks through the gates on
- 6:38Speaker 9: Friday get a free Selingo Law Light the Night ticket
- 6:41Speaker 9: to opening nights on November twenty first.
- 6:43Speaker 6: And I do want to mention and you and I
- 6:44Speaker 6: were talking about this off the air that the Selango
- 6:47Speaker 6: Law White Dit is covered up, bigger, better, stronger, faster,
- 6:51Speaker 6: you know, all the all the stuff that you talk about,
- 6:53Speaker 6: But now would be a good time to go online
- 6:56Speaker 6: and get those tickets.
- 6:57Speaker 9: Correct, So if you come to the game on Friday,
- 7:00Speaker 9: we'll get a free ticket to opening night only, but
- 7:03Speaker 9: we do have it's open November twenty first, all the
- 7:05Speaker 9: way through January first, except for Christmas Day on the
- 7:08Speaker 9: twenty fifth, So you can get your tickets at Dblightthnight
- 7:12Speaker 9: dot com if you want to get your tickets early.
- 7:14Speaker 6: And it's and why should people get their tickets early?
- 7:17Speaker 6: What's the advantage to that other than the lines.
- 7:20Speaker 9: It is cheaper. You usually save a dollar.
- 7:22Speaker 6: That's a good one at least.
- 7:23Speaker 9: And we haven't necessarily sold out, but there was that
- 7:29Speaker 9: one Saturday where we basically did because there was eleven
- 7:31Speaker 9: thousand people in the ballpark at one time. So if
- 7:35Speaker 9: you want to come to a Friday or Saturday game,
- 7:37Speaker 9: not game Friday or Saturday night, I recommend getting your
- 7:40Speaker 9: tickets early. Or if you know that your family's coming
- 7:42Speaker 9: in town for Thanksgiving for Christmas, that's the time to
- 7:45Speaker 9: make sure you get your tickets now because it is cheaper,
- 7:47Speaker 9: all right.
- 7:48Speaker 6: The gain we're talking with Joe garn to the Dirty Birds,
- 7:50Speaker 6: but Dave Alan Chilling five eighty Live is brought to
- 7:52Speaker 6: you in part by Hustin's Pizza. With this month, at
- 7:55Speaker 6: your local Hustand's you can get a large eten inch
- 7:57Speaker 6: pepperoni pizza and an order of six meat balls twenty
- 7:59Speaker 6: four now nine dinand deliver your pickup. Visit Hudson's Pizza
- 8:02Speaker 6: dot com. So every fan that comes to the gate
- 8:04Speaker 6: on Friday is going to get a free ticket for
- 8:06Speaker 6: opening night for Slango Law Light the night November the
- 8:09Speaker 6: twenty first, that's opening night. Take it from there while
- 8:11Speaker 6: we get on Saturday.
- 8:12Speaker 11: Saturday is our.
- 8:13Speaker 9: Last fireworks game of the season, and it's usually the
- 8:17Speaker 9: biggest one. Everyone thinks that our July fourth or July
- 8:19Speaker 9: third game is the biggest fireworks is actually our last one.
- 8:22Speaker 9: And for those of you who remember in May our
- 8:25Speaker 9: first fireworks night had to be canceled because of rain.
- 8:29Speaker 9: Every single firework that we purchased for that one is
- 8:31Speaker 9: being used for this Saturday, so it's going to be
- 8:34Speaker 9: two times as big. So last Saturday Fireworks and then
- 8:38Speaker 9: Sunday our final game of the season. A three o'clock
- 8:41Speaker 9: Star and it is Grandparents' Day presented by ARP. So
- 8:44Speaker 9: you can go to our social media or on the
- 8:47Speaker 9: website and you can sign up with your grandchildren to
- 8:50Speaker 9: be a part of something in game, whether you want
- 8:52Speaker 9: to sit in the bullpen for a half inning, whether
- 8:54Speaker 9: you want to be the playball kid throughout the first pitch,
- 8:57Speaker 9: be a guest broadcaster for an inning. We have a
- 8:59Speaker 9: lot of fun, free things that you can sign up
- 9:02Speaker 9: as a grandparent and grandchild.
- 9:03Speaker 6: And of course that doesn't end the season. That just
- 9:06Speaker 6: sends the homestand and then you have games next week
- 9:09Speaker 6: on the road.
- 9:09Speaker 9: Correct, The Boys go on the road Tuesday through Thursday
- 9:12Speaker 9: against high Point and then that's it.
- 9:14Speaker 6: All right, Let's talk about the playoffs, even though the
- 9:16Speaker 6: Birds aren't going to be there. Who are the teams
- 9:18Speaker 6: we're looking at? And course, you know, the Birds made
- 9:20Speaker 6: it to the to the series so to speak, last year.
- 9:24Speaker 6: Unfortunately they lost. But let's talk about who the teams
- 9:27Speaker 6: are that we're looking at.
- 9:28Speaker 2: Me.
- 9:28Speaker 9: Yeah, it's still a race right now for some of
- 9:30Speaker 9: the teams. So the two teams that made it in
- 9:32Speaker 9: the first half is Lancaster and high Point, who the
- 9:34Speaker 9: Boys are going to go face next week. Gastonia right
- 9:38Speaker 9: now is in first place, in the South, so these
- 9:41Speaker 9: games do matter where the dirty words canna have a
- 9:43Speaker 9: little bit of pride. Where we frankly have been having
- 9:46Speaker 9: a rough time against Gastonia. I don't mean statistically, I
- 9:49Speaker 9: mean there has been some beef between the guys, so
- 9:52Speaker 9: there's going to be some pride. Yeah, some bench clears
- 9:54Speaker 9: a little bit against And.
- 9:56Speaker 6: Now you've piqued my interest even more, even though I
- 9:58Speaker 6: love baseball. So what's so, what's happened here, Joe?
- 10:01Speaker 9: It's funny. I was talking to one of the guys
- 10:03Speaker 9: last night and they said that the coaching staff is great,
- 10:06Speaker 9: but the Gastonia players just seem to be a little
- 10:09Speaker 9: more chirpy, little mouth uh huh. And you know, when
- 10:11Speaker 9: when you got nothing to lose, your few games back
- 10:14Speaker 9: from first place, the dirty birds are not going to
- 10:16Speaker 9: go down with the fight. So they're I think they
- 10:19Speaker 9: would take some great pride in saying that they sent
- 10:21Speaker 9: Gastonia home early a.
- 10:22Speaker 6: Couple of brushbacks here and there. I mean, we don't
- 10:24Speaker 6: want to encourage that sort of thing, but it makes
- 10:27Speaker 6: it more interesting.
- 10:28Speaker 9: You go the right and these these guys are they're
- 10:31Speaker 9: young athletes, they're what late early twenties, late twenties early thirties.
- 10:35Speaker 9: They're athletes, they're competitive. One of the guys, Demetrius More
- 10:38Speaker 9: He says, I don't know what happens that they just
- 10:40Speaker 9: start chirping at me, and I can just feel this
- 10:42Speaker 9: adrenaline surge. And for those of you who are athletes listening,
- 10:45Speaker 9: you you know that feeling.
- 10:46Speaker 6: Exactly exactly all right. So, uh, we got a text
- 10:49Speaker 6: your somebody ask if we plan on doing anything for
- 10:52Speaker 6: September eleventh. Do we have anything, any plan, any anything plan.
- 10:56Speaker 9: Nothing crazy? But yes, of course, of course we're gonna
- 10:58Speaker 9: have something planned for nine to eleven. As I said,
- 11:00Speaker 9: that's our fan appreciation night. We are going to do
- 11:01Speaker 9: a moment of silence per usual. We did actually just
- 11:04Speaker 9: buy a new American flag, so that will be up
- 11:07Speaker 9: and flying during the week as well.
- 11:09Speaker 6: And we want to make sure people realize that this Saturday.
- 11:11Speaker 6: By the way, the weather is going to be great,
- 11:13Speaker 6: you know, I mean neck, I mean through. It's going
- 11:17Speaker 6: to be kind of a repeat of what we had.
- 11:19Speaker 6: We may have suffered early on with storms and lightning
- 11:22Speaker 6: and whatever, but there's no rain in which we need
- 11:25Speaker 6: some rain. But if you're coming out to the ballpark,
- 11:28Speaker 6: the weather's going to be fantastic, not too it's actually
- 11:30Speaker 6: gonna warm up a little bit by the weekend. It's
- 11:32Speaker 6: going to feel more like summer, which it is technically, Jill.
- 11:34Speaker 2: Still summer, Still summer.
- 11:35Speaker 9: I keep telling my coworkers that it's still summer until
- 11:38Speaker 9: September twenty second. But yeah, so we want rain. But
- 11:41Speaker 9: the rain can start on Monday of next week.
- 11:43Speaker 6: Or maybe before the game or whatever, because you get
- 11:45Speaker 6: to turf and it's not nearly as big a deal.
- 11:47Speaker 6: The rain is not as big a deal as the
- 11:48Speaker 6: lightning is. And that's unfortunately what we saw last Friday
- 11:51Speaker 6: night with high school football in the area. But we appreciate,
- 11:55Speaker 6: we appreciate you being here. And what I was saying
- 11:57Speaker 6: about the weather is, the weather's going to be fantastic.
- 12:00Speaker 6: And Mega Mega super blast fireworks on Saturday night. You
- 12:03Speaker 6: can blow them all out exactly.
- 12:05Speaker 9: It's going to be a lot of fun.
- 12:06Speaker 4: I'm excited.
- 12:07Speaker 9: The end of the season is always bittersweet for us,
- 12:09Speaker 9: where we've put in all this work and we want
- 12:12Speaker 9: our fans to make sure that they feel appreciated that
- 12:14Speaker 9: they had a good time this season.
- 12:15Speaker 6: All right, Jill, It's always a pleasure to talk to you,
- 12:17Speaker 6: and again the season of fish wins. The last game
- 12:19Speaker 6: of the season, the.
- 12:20Speaker 9: Last game for at home is this Sunday, but then
- 12:24Speaker 9: the Boys go on the road to high Point. So
- 12:25Speaker 9: if you can't come this weekend and you want to
- 12:27Speaker 9: go watch the Boys playing High Point, you can make
- 12:28Speaker 9: that drive. I'll be making that drive.
- 12:30Speaker 6: It's not far, it's not far. Just drove a little
- 12:32Speaker 6: less than four hours drove by there, not long ago.
- 12:35Speaker 6: So and we also want to remind you that we
- 12:37Speaker 6: do have Selangol law Light the Night coming up to
- 12:39Speaker 6: the ballpark. Starts on November twenty first, and again, if
- 12:41Speaker 6: you come out to the game on Friday night, you're
- 12:43Speaker 6: going to get a free ticket to get into the
- 12:46Speaker 6: Selango law Light the Night. You can go online and
- 12:48Speaker 6: get your tickets now for that. We would highly encourage
- 12:51Speaker 6: that because it's going to be much bigger, much It
- 12:53Speaker 6: was great last year and the year before, but it's
- 12:55Speaker 6: going to be huge this year. And before you know it,
- 12:58Speaker 6: we're going to be silent night and jingle belling all
- 13:01Speaker 6: over the place over there. So we'll see you there
- 13:03Speaker 6: and we'll talk to you several times. So it's been
- 13:05Speaker 6: a pleasure having you on this season.
- 13:06Speaker 9: Though, absolutely, Thank you, Dave.
- 13:08Speaker 4: It's been fun.
- 13:08Speaker 6: You're sticking around, aren't you anywhere? Okay? Making sure, Okay,
- 13:12Speaker 6: I'm here, I'm here, all right. It is a nine
- 13:14Speaker 6: to twenty. But Dave Allen Show on five eighty Live

- 13:43Speaker 12: Seasons are changing, the kids are back in school, and
- 13:46Speaker 12: cooler weather is on the way. But one thing that
- 13:48Speaker 12: always remains consistent is the car buying experience at Walker
- 13:52Speaker 12: Chevrolet in Nitro. You see, that's because Gene and Ryan
- 13:55Speaker 12: built their business the old fashioned way by making friends.
- 13:59Speaker 12: There are no gimmicker games at Walker, just honest, fair deals,
- 14:03Speaker 12: and the process at Walker is remarkably simple. They help
- 14:06Speaker 12: you find a vehicle that you love and a deal
- 14:09Speaker 12: that makes you smile, and don't forget Walker is still
- 14:12Speaker 12: buying cars too. Now All makes and models are welcome,
- 14:14Speaker 12: and they'll give you a top dollar for it, even
- 14:17Speaker 12: if you plan to buy somewhere else.
- 14:19Speaker 6: But why would you?
- 14:20Speaker 3: You know?
- 14:20Speaker 12: It's good to know that in a world full of
- 14:21Speaker 12: constant change, there are some things that remain consistent and
- 14:25Speaker 12: that some car dealers still believe in treating you like

- 15:02Speaker 14: that means more risk for your credit and your identity too.
- 15:06Speaker 14: Republicans in Congress stop Dick Durbin's takeover of your credit

- 16:02Speaker 6: Side Neighborhood Association. Our good friends Naomi and Samantha are here.
- 16:05Speaker 6: How you doing, girls, We're doing great.
- 16:07Speaker 4: Tell me everybody else is having a good morning.
- 16:09Speaker 11: So how much to Samantha doing a Yeah, it's Tuesday,
- 16:11Speaker 11: I'm here.
- 16:12Speaker 6: It's a beautiful day. Yeah, beautiful day in the neighborhood.
- 16:14Speaker 6: It's going to be a beautiful day in the neighborhood.
- 16:16Speaker 6: For what you guys, A guy going on with the
- 16:18Speaker 6: first of all, for people you've been on the show
- 16:20Speaker 6: several times for people that don't know. Explain the organization
- 16:23Speaker 6: to us, either one of you.
- 16:24Speaker 15: So, the West Side Neighborhood Association has been around since
- 16:26Speaker 15: nineteen eighty six, and our whole mission is to do
- 16:30Speaker 15: beautification and clean up projects along the west Side and
- 16:33Speaker 15: empower neighbors.
- 16:34Speaker 4: So basically just neighbors getting together with neighbors.
- 16:37Speaker 5: Samantha, Yeah, what she said, Yeah, exactly, exactly, just that,
- 16:42Speaker 5: and yeah, we we like to make our community as
- 16:45Speaker 5: as good as we can, and we do that through
- 16:47Speaker 5: cleanups and making it, you know, just a friendly place
- 16:50Speaker 5: to live in.
- 16:50Speaker 6: Now, the last time I had you on, I think
- 16:52Speaker 6: you were talking about your most recent cleanup.
- 16:54Speaker 2: Is that?
- 16:54Speaker 6: Is that why we had?
- 16:55Speaker 3: Ye?
- 16:55Speaker 6: How did that go? We just want to kind of good.
- 16:57Speaker 15: Yeah, we think we had over fifty people show up
- 16:59Speaker 15: for that at one and we cleaned up one of
- 17:02Speaker 15: the core places of the west Side and like, yeah, yeah, people,
- 17:06Speaker 15: We feed people when they come up to cleanups.
- 17:08Speaker 4: We have a good time, We play music, we take photos.
- 17:10Speaker 6: It's a good time, always a good time, always a
- 17:12Speaker 6: good time on the west Side, the best side, right, Yeah,
- 17:14Speaker 6: all right, So what do you got going on? Now?
- 17:18Speaker 6: So when I ask now. And when I say, what
- 17:22Speaker 6: are you going on now? And she laughs, I'm like,
- 17:24Speaker 6: all right, so what's up?
- 17:29Speaker 15: We have this wonderful event. Like I said, we do cleanups,
- 17:32Speaker 15: and so we were looking at how can we enhance
- 17:37Speaker 15: the cleanup, how can we turn it upside down on
- 17:39Speaker 15: its head, and so we kind of came up with
- 17:41Speaker 15: Magic on Magic Island. It's a date night cleanup event.
- 17:46Speaker 11: So whether you're single looking to mingle, or if you
- 17:50Speaker 11: just want to make some friends, it's a great way
- 17:52Speaker 11: to find people that also care about the community.
- 17:55Speaker 6: Okay, And it's when and where.
- 17:57Speaker 15: It is Saturday, starting at four thirty, and it is
- 18:01Speaker 15: at Magic Island. You will be treated to a wonderful
- 18:06Speaker 15: gourmet picnic.
- 18:07Speaker 4: Because it's thirty dollars.
- 18:10Speaker 15: We'll have a magician roaming around after we do the cleanup,
- 18:14Speaker 15: and you'll probably come away with a balloon animal.
- 18:16Speaker 4: And if you want your.
- 18:18Speaker 15: Tarot cards read, we will have a lovely psychic on
- 18:22Speaker 15: hand for you to do that, plus some fun other
- 18:24Speaker 15: little activities for get to know each other.
- 18:28Speaker 6: I love this because this is just something that you guys,
- 18:30Speaker 6: if you've I mean, you've never done anything like this before.
- 18:32Speaker 6: I'm going to take I don't know, I anybody's ever
- 18:34Speaker 6: done anything those part. So I got to ask, where
- 18:36Speaker 6: did the idea come from? Whose idea, Samantha, whose ideaail Me?
- 18:40Speaker 4: Who's I think it's both of us. We were just
- 18:43Speaker 4: kind of I.
- 18:44Speaker 6: Mean, you're packing a lot into this timeframe because you
- 18:47Speaker 6: got tarot cards. You threw out the if you're single
- 18:50Speaker 6: and want a mingle kind of thing, so you got
- 18:52Speaker 6: a love connection thing going on over there. So I know,
- 18:54Speaker 6: I just that's show's been off there for forty years.
- 18:56Speaker 6: But I'm all so so so so, so let's let's
- 19:02Speaker 6: I mean, this is kind of an interesting concept.
- 19:04Speaker 16: Yeah.
- 19:05Speaker 15: So, I mean, so the single versus friendship thing. You know,
- 19:08Speaker 15: we've kind of looked at other dating events where they
- 19:12Speaker 15: use the stop light method, where they have you know, red, yellow,
- 19:16Speaker 15: and green armbands, so we kind of took it to
- 19:20Speaker 15: when you come in to do the cleanup, we give
- 19:22Speaker 15: you a different color trash bag depending on what you're
- 19:24Speaker 15: looking for. So if you're looking for love, you go
- 19:26Speaker 15: find the other people that have pink trash.
- 19:28Speaker 6: Bags, Okay, can you go talk to them?
- 19:30Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 19:30Speaker 11: Or if you just want to be friends blue blue,
- 19:33Speaker 11: And then if you just want to like pick up
- 19:35Speaker 11: garbage and you're just here. I'm just here for the mission.
- 19:38Speaker 11: You get a black cash back.
- 19:40Speaker 6: Girls, I'm gonna tell you, I am resisting the temptation
- 19:44Speaker 6: when you say picking up garbage to talk about it. Now,
- 19:47Speaker 6: I'm not not even going to go there. It's like
- 19:49Speaker 6: a it's like a country song going through my head.
- 19:51Speaker 6: I'm not even I'm not even going. But it does
- 19:53Speaker 6: sound like it'd be a unique band. It really does.
- 19:55Speaker 15: Yeah, And what it does is it breaks down the barriers,
- 19:57Speaker 15: right like instead of just every thing our interactions being online,
- 20:02Speaker 15: you're there. You're meeting people that care about the community,
- 20:05Speaker 15: that care about in the environment.
- 20:06Speaker 6: Or that's what the bottom line is.
- 20:07Speaker 15: Yeah, you have that already taken away, so you have
- 20:10Speaker 15: something to talk about, right And like we're gonna have
- 20:12Speaker 15: a silly little scavenger hunt. So while you're looking for
- 20:16Speaker 15: litter to pick up, you know, you got to be
- 20:18Speaker 15: looking for something maybe that's pink or something that's heart shaped,
- 20:21Speaker 15: and okay, what other fun things we come up?
- 20:23Speaker 6: And again, it just brings no matter you know, how
- 20:25Speaker 6: much fun you have or whatever, it's all about. It's
- 20:28Speaker 6: all about the organization and it's all about bringing attention
- 20:32Speaker 6: and it's and I think it's very interesting that, uh, Samantha,
- 20:35Speaker 6: you said that about the about the friendship aspect of it,
- 20:39Speaker 6: because we live even in West Virginia, which is probably
- 20:42Speaker 6: the friendly Are you both note native West Virginias? Are
- 20:45Speaker 6: you both from here.
- 20:46Speaker 4: Or been here long enough? I don't know how many
- 20:47Speaker 4: years you have to be here?
- 20:48Speaker 2: Okay?
- 20:48Speaker 11: And I moved here because because the people are so friendly.
- 20:51Speaker 6: Okay, Yeah, Well my point is is West Virginia is
- 20:54Speaker 6: always known as the friendly state, where the kind of
- 20:56Speaker 6: place that you know, you see somebody that's you know,
- 20:58Speaker 6: has a flat tire, you stop to help them, you know,
- 21:00Speaker 6: you wave it to people that you don't know walking
- 21:02Speaker 6: in your neighborhood or whatever. And maybe because of social
- 21:08Speaker 6: online activities and things like that, maybe we're a little
- 21:10Speaker 6: bit more disconnected than what we used to be, even
- 21:12Speaker 6: in West Virginia. But I think it's time to get
- 21:15Speaker 6: that back again. And we've even seen it, you know,
- 21:17Speaker 6: if you're from a larger city, you know, I got
- 21:20Speaker 6: I mean, one of my best friends lives in DC
- 21:22Speaker 6: and he tells me, he said, I've lived here for
- 21:25Speaker 6: ten years. I have no idea the names of my
- 21:27Speaker 6: neighbors at all, none, because people just don't do that
- 21:30Speaker 6: as often. It's not that way in West Virginia, but
- 21:33Speaker 6: it could get that way because of again, everybody's got
- 21:36Speaker 6: a phone in their hand and so on and so forth,
- 21:38Speaker 6: and sometimes we don't get to know our neighbors. It's
- 21:40Speaker 6: a great way to get to know the people around you.
- 21:42Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 21:43Speaker 15: Yeah, and especially as you get older too, it gets
- 21:45Speaker 15: a little bit more difficult to make friends, right, And
- 21:47Speaker 15: so you know, this is another fun aspect of that,
- 21:50Speaker 15: because then you might see this person around town, you
- 21:52Speaker 15: might run into them at another event, and then you
- 21:55Speaker 15: kind of like already.
- 21:56Speaker 6: Kind of watching after each other too. And now I
- 21:58Speaker 6: don't mean that necessarily that bad stuff's going to have happened,
- 22:00Speaker 6: But if you haven't heard from a neighbor in a
- 22:02Speaker 6: day or two, you might pick up the phone or
- 22:03Speaker 6: go knock on the door, say hey, you haven't seen
- 22:05Speaker 6: you out. You know, you're normally out in your yard
- 22:07Speaker 6: working on your flowers. Are you making sure everything's okay?
- 22:10Speaker 6: Kind of a thing, kind of getting that whole West
- 22:11Speaker 6: Virginia vibe.
- 22:12Speaker 4: Yeah, for sure, for sure.
- 22:13Speaker 15: I mean, my neighbor brings my trash can in for me,
- 22:16Speaker 15: time because I forget to get it.
- 22:19Speaker 6: Do you forget to put it out? Or do you
- 22:21Speaker 6: forget to.
- 22:22Speaker 3: Up on top?
- 22:22Speaker 4: And then I'm like, let's go inside.
- 22:24Speaker 15: And then like three hours have gone by and I
- 22:26Speaker 15: hear ed like bringing it down.
- 22:28Speaker 6: Yeah, well that's it's good. It's that's kind of that's
- 22:30Speaker 6: kind of what we what we do. All right, let's
- 22:32Speaker 6: go back to the tarot card. Yes, this is something
- 22:35Speaker 6: I know, I know absolutely nothing about. So whose idea
- 22:39Speaker 6: was that? Which which one of you? I'm gonna go
- 22:41Speaker 6: ahead and guess that this was Do you guess, Samantham?
- 22:44Speaker 11: Okay, well, okay, maybe, but it's new a psychic.
- 22:50Speaker 6: All right, go ahead.
- 22:53Speaker 15: So I knew this girl from around town. In true
- 22:56Speaker 15: West Virginia fashion, we thought we were related for a
- 22:59Speaker 15: hot minute, and we turned out not to be.
- 23:02Speaker 4: So we call each other cause.
- 23:04Speaker 6: You don't want to hear at the day. You don't
- 23:07Speaker 6: want to hear that you know that we're how close
- 23:11Speaker 6: cousins are we? But anyway, go ahead.
- 23:13Speaker 15: Yeah, we just thought it would be a fun little
- 23:15Speaker 15: activity to do. And Allison of Plutos and Pentacles, We'll
- 23:20Speaker 15: just do a quick little reading for singles or couples.
- 23:23Speaker 15: And that's an extra charge. But yeah, she's she's there
- 23:26Speaker 15: and she's great and she can she's kind of funny.
- 23:28Speaker 6: Too, okay, And that's a big part of it too.
- 23:30Speaker 6: I mean, these things like this are about having fun.
- 23:33Speaker 6: It sounds like your event is fun. And as I
- 23:35Speaker 6: was talking to Jill from The Dirty Birds earlier, the
- 23:38Speaker 6: weather is going to be, you know, fantastic. I mean,
- 23:41Speaker 6: it's going to be really good because we you know,
- 23:43Speaker 6: last last week we struggled a little bit with the weather.
- 23:45Speaker 6: But we need the rain. I mean, I get that
- 23:47Speaker 6: as well. But the weather is going to be great,
- 23:49Speaker 6: to be a great night. And it's still as Jill
- 23:51Speaker 6: pointed out, it is still officially summer, and it will
- 23:54Speaker 6: be till September twenty second day before my birthday. I
- 23:56Speaker 6: just knowlew that out there, but I will say that,
- 24:00Speaker 6: you know, the the nights are getting longer, They're going
- 24:02Speaker 6: to be pretty soon and daylight's going to be disappearing.
- 24:05Speaker 6: And maybe by the time you know this this date
- 24:07Speaker 6: in January rolls around, when we had three or four
- 24:09Speaker 6: inches of snow out on the ground, you're gonna wish
- 24:11Speaker 6: that you had got out and taken taking part in
- 24:13Speaker 6: these activities because you're starting to wind down.
- 24:15Speaker 11: Yeah, it's almost it's what the kids call cuffing season.
- 24:18Speaker 11: So you better find someone to snuggle up with before
- 24:20Speaker 11: it gets cold.
- 24:23Speaker 6: Say what, Ryan, Ryan? Can you help me with this? Ryan?
- 24:28Speaker 6: Now he doesn't have any idea either a cuffing season?
- 24:31Speaker 6: Am I going to get fired for saying them on
- 24:33Speaker 6: you like that? Is that like a term that it
- 24:36Speaker 6: is just funcause I don't need to know their HR violation.
- 24:39Speaker 6: I don't need to actually coming out here.
- 24:40Speaker 15: Again, you're just looking for winter snuggles. I got ya,
- 24:43Speaker 15: I got you, I got you, all right, And maybe
- 24:45Speaker 15: someone is shovels.
- 24:46Speaker 6: Somebody's show that now you're getting Yeah, yeah, you're you're
- 24:51Speaker 6: you're attractive at everything. But I'm really more interested in
- 24:54Speaker 6: what you can do for me on shoveling the snow
- 24:56Speaker 6: or whatever.
- 24:56Speaker 11: The guy got you at least lift twenty five pounds.
- 25:00Speaker 6: You all right? Also, it sounds like a lot of fun. Again,
- 25:03Speaker 6: it's the West Side Neighborhood Association. Give us the details
- 25:07Speaker 6: where people can can find out more about it.
- 25:09Speaker 15: So you can buy your ticket. If you've loved the
- 25:12Speaker 15: idea of this event, you can buy your ticket.
- 25:13Speaker 6: And that's it west limited to people for the West Side.
- 25:15Speaker 15: No anybody, anybody a cross worry anybody that wants to cuff.
- 25:19Speaker 4: Yeah, you can come up from Beckley wherever, I don't care.
- 25:23Speaker 15: You can go to West Side Neighbor dot org and

- 25:30Speaker 15: you're getting and then the rest.
- 25:32Speaker 6: I'm going to go back to the gourmet picnic because
- 25:34Speaker 6: you had you had me at food. Okay, what is
- 25:37Speaker 6: the constitutes a gourmet picnic?
- 25:39Speaker 15: Chef curated. Yeah, so we have chef Brandon Mauser. He
- 25:43Speaker 15: has created a menu for us.
- 25:45Speaker 6: So this is not going to be you know, your

- 25:48Speaker 4: Oh no, no, we win, we win a little.
- 25:50Speaker 11: Yes, we even have picnic blankets for you to enjoy.
- 25:53Speaker 11: The it's a all.
- 25:56Speaker 15: Right and one like maybe the sun will be setting
- 25:58Speaker 15: right about that time. Like we are creating eating a
- 26:00Speaker 15: mood y'all.
- 26:01Speaker 6: Mood Yeah, all right for cuffing. All right, So so
- 26:06Speaker 6: what's on the menu.
- 26:08Speaker 15: Well, the menu is a chicken salad rap with a
- 26:13Speaker 15: cherry pepper crem fresh or a full offul with the
- 26:17Speaker 15: cherry pepper crem fresh rap, a personal charcouterie bard and
- 26:26Speaker 15: a dark chocolate ganache with white chocolate.
- 26:30Speaker 6: Chip I mean cookie pie pie.
- 26:33Speaker 2: Goodbye.
- 26:34Speaker 6: This ain't your grandma's picnic, you know. All right, it

- 35:25Speaker 6: the website wv metronews dot com. Brock Williams could be
- 35:29Speaker 6: spending life behind behind bars. This, of course, is the
- 35:33Speaker 6: tobacco shop murder in North Charleston from last year. Yesterday,
- 35:38Speaker 6: in the courtroom of Judge Mary Claire Acres, a jury
- 35:42Speaker 6: found the fifteen year old kid and I mean, let's
- 35:47Speaker 6: face it, that's that's that's what he that's what he is.
- 35:49Speaker 6: He's a kid and his accomplice was a kid not
- 35:53Speaker 6: being treated like kids because well they did adult like
- 35:56Speaker 6: things and they're gonna have to pay for it now.
- 35:58Speaker 6: But in Judge Acres courtroom yesyesterday, the fifteen year old
- 36:02Speaker 6: Barack Williams guilty of felony murder in connection with the
- 36:07Speaker 6: robbery that killed nineteen year old Caden Martin at that
- 36:13Speaker 6: vape shop on the north side of Charleston back in
- 36:15Speaker 6: twenty twenty four. Williams, of course, as I mentioned, tried
- 36:19Speaker 6: as an adult. The automatic sentence is life in prison
- 36:25Speaker 6: with the possibility of parole in fifteen years. Now. Williams,
- 36:31Speaker 6: they say, apparently was serving as some sort of a
- 36:34Speaker 6: lookout during the robbery. And I wasn't in the courtroom.
- 36:39Speaker 6: I followed the case just like you did. But Daniel
- 36:41Speaker 6: Woods was and we had him on Metro News midday
- 36:43Speaker 6: last week and he talked about that. You know, the
- 36:46Speaker 6: lawyers in the case were trying to point out that
- 36:48Speaker 6: well it was he a mere lookout, as William's attorneys claimed,
- 36:53Speaker 6: and didn't know what was going on. But there's several
- 36:55Speaker 6: points in the video that you see him opening up
- 36:57Speaker 6: the door and looking inside. And I guess jury, and
- 37:00Speaker 6: I'm not trying to get into the mind of the
- 37:01Speaker 6: jury here, but I guess they figured, well, if he
- 37:04Speaker 6: if he opened up the door and kept looking inside,
- 37:06Speaker 6: he was more than than than just to look at it.
- 37:09Speaker 6: I don't know. But anyway, now, the other kid, the
- 37:13Speaker 6: Williams Kid, John Williams Hampton, held the clerk at gunpoint
- 37:19Speaker 6: to steal vapes and money from the shop. Williams Hampton
- 37:22Speaker 6: was found guilty earlier and sentenced to life with the
- 37:25Speaker 6: possibility of parole. And I said this before, I said
- 37:32Speaker 6: it when it first happened. You know when I mean
- 37:34Speaker 6: when this, when this case first happened, I had I
- 37:40Speaker 6: had Kenaw County Prosecutor Deb Rusnick on the show. Then,
- 37:44Speaker 6: by the way, programming note, she will be on talk
- 37:46Speaker 6: line with the Wilson Meadows coming up today. Regardless of
- 37:51Speaker 6: how you feel about this particular story, three young lives
- 37:57Speaker 6: were taken, one for ever because he was killed the clerk,
- 38:04Speaker 6: but the other two, who were mid teens, tried as adults.
- 38:10Speaker 6: Their lives are effectively over to now again. They were
- 38:13Speaker 6: both sentenced to life. They're eligible for parole, but I mean,
- 38:15Speaker 6: in effect, their lives are over. And it's a sad,
- 38:19Speaker 6: sad case all around. And you just you're scratching your
- 38:23Speaker 6: head and saying, you know, for what I mean two
- 38:29Speaker 6: and I don't know. And I'm not gonna get into,
- 38:32Speaker 6: you know, amateur psychologists here and get into what happened,
- 38:35Speaker 6: you know, in their family situations. That's not for me
- 38:39Speaker 6: to decide or you or anybody else. That was all
- 38:41Speaker 6: discussed in court and so on and so forth, I guess,
- 38:44Speaker 6: but just wonder, I mean, what when when you're a
- 38:48Speaker 6: kid and these are these are these are in effect
- 38:52Speaker 6: under the under the eyes of the law. Even though
- 38:54Speaker 6: they were tried as adults, these two were children, and
- 38:57Speaker 6: they took this other young man who was much older
- 39:00Speaker 6: than they were, took his life and in effect ruined
- 39:06Speaker 6: his family's life, and then ruined their own lives. And
- 39:13Speaker 6: for what it was just just senseless and it's tragic.
- 39:19Speaker 6: It's tragic situation all around. Because even if these two do,
- 39:24Speaker 6: if they are granted parole in fifteen years or get
- 39:27Speaker 6: out on good behavior or whatever, I mean, their their
- 39:29Speaker 6: lives are effectively ruined as well. And I'm not saying
- 39:32Speaker 6: that they shouldn't be. I mean, you know, kind of
- 39:34Speaker 6: hardcore when it comes to crime and punishment and things
- 39:37Speaker 6: that people that think I'm a little too liberal. You
- 39:40Speaker 6: don't want my opinion when it comes to crime and punishment.
- 39:42Speaker 6: All right, you'll you'll do you'll, you'll do a quick turnaround,

- 40:36Speaker 6: ramble about how Putnham County has the best schools. Well, Fyi,
- 40:40Speaker 6: Conawa County has two high schools in the top five
- 40:42Speaker 6: of the state. Putnam has won. Take that, pampas Putnam
- 40:46Speaker 6: County ins. Look, I want all of our schools to succeed.
- 40:49Speaker 6: I live in Putnham County, and I am all things

- 40:58Speaker 6: I want you know, Barber County, and I want all
- 41:01Speaker 6: of our schools to do well. But it is true
- 41:05Speaker 6: that Putnam County does have some of the best schools
- 41:07Speaker 6: in the state. The test scores show it. That's why
- 41:10Speaker 6: people want to move there. And there are other counties
- 41:14Speaker 6: around the state that have have great schools as well,

- 41:38Speaker 6: and get maybe get you to weigh in on this
- 41:40Speaker 6: as well. I want to talk about the words in
- 41:44Speaker 6: God we trust. Now, you'll recall that a bill requiring
- 41:51Speaker 6: the words in God we Trust be placed in public schools,
- 41:56Speaker 6: and it was signed by the governor. Whether it was
- 41:58Speaker 6: a ceremony held yesterday at the Capitol, and of course,
- 42:02Speaker 6: as I mentioned earlier, the legislature in town for interims
- 42:05Speaker 6: and so a lot of them were around anyway, but
- 42:08Speaker 6: the governor, Governor Morrissey, held a press event yesterday talking
- 42:14Speaker 6: about the whole thing. Now, the bill's sponsor was Republican
- 42:18Speaker 6: Mike Aisinger out of Wood County, and he and others
- 42:23Speaker 6: were around yesterday when the signs were shown to the
- 42:28Speaker 6: public put on display. Now, taxpayers aren't on the hook
- 42:34Speaker 6: for the signs. By the way. The groups were called
- 42:37Speaker 6: First Liberty Institute and Patriot Mobile, And I don't know
- 42:41Speaker 6: anything about those organizations, but they paid for around twenty
- 42:47Speaker 6: five hundred signs that are going to be donated to
- 42:51Speaker 6: the States with the words in God we trust, accompanied
- 42:57Speaker 6: by the US flaglac representation of the flag, and that
- 43:01Speaker 6: will be in all schools, elementary, secondary, and higher education institutions. Now,
- 43:05Speaker 6: the law also extends to charter schools. Now, I'm going
- 43:10Speaker 6: to give you a quote from Governor Morrison. And by
- 43:13Speaker 6: the way, Jeff Jenkins has a full story written about
- 43:15Speaker 6: this this morning at wv metronews dot com. This is
- 43:19Speaker 6: a direct quote from Governor Morrisey about the story from yesterday.
- 43:23Speaker 6: A true Actually, no, let me back up. This quote
- 43:26Speaker 6: is actually from the bill signing, not yesterday. I'm sorry
- 43:28Speaker 6: it was from the bill signing, but in regardless, it's
- 43:31Speaker 6: a quote from the governor. A true and accurate retelling
- 43:35Speaker 6: of civics and American life and history is going to
- 43:38Speaker 6: be set up for our students to become engaged in
- 43:42Speaker 6: very knowledgeable members of our society. End quote. Now, again,
- 43:47Speaker 6: that's what the governor said when he signed a bill
- 43:50Speaker 6: into law in April. Senate President Randy Smith, Republican from
- 43:56Speaker 6: Preston County, said quote, schools will be better place when
- 44:00Speaker 6: God is included. And you know, he continued on, society
- 44:09Speaker 6: started going downhill when we took God out of our schools,
- 44:13Speaker 6: and I think we had the statistics to show that
- 44:17Speaker 6: end quote. We have not seen that statistic yet, I would.
- 44:23Speaker 6: I mean, there's you know, there's been problems in our
- 44:25Speaker 6: public schools for a long time. And I don't know
- 44:27Speaker 6: whether the two go with each other.
- 44:29Speaker 16: I don't know.
- 44:31Speaker 6: I don't know that God was ever taken out of schools,
- 44:33Speaker 6: to be honest with you. But a former state senator
- 44:36Speaker 6: from Arkansas who's all about this stuff, was there as well,
- 44:40Speaker 6: and he said lawmakers around the country are doing similar things.
- 44:43Speaker 6: Quote from him, and I found this interesting. And again
- 44:45Speaker 6: you can read all this as part of Jeff's story
- 44:48Speaker 6: wv metronews dot com. This is a quote. We just
- 44:51Speaker 6: had this horrible situation in Minnesota the other day where
- 44:55Speaker 6: two students were shot and killed, and the lawmakers there
- 45:00Speaker 6: were touched and say, we need to resurrect those founding
- 45:03Speaker 6: principles that are founding fathers gave to us. End quote.
- 45:10Speaker 6: Now we can go I do a deeper dive on
- 45:13Speaker 6: that what our founding fathers really meant. But Okay, when
- 45:19Speaker 6: I read that quote, I thought, Okay, the students in
- 45:23Speaker 6: that horrific shooting in Minnesota, the shooting took place while
- 45:30Speaker 6: students were actually praying. I mean, you can't get much
- 45:34Speaker 6: more in God we Trust than that. So I'm just
- 45:39Speaker 6: interested in this, in this whole thing, and I would

- 48:48Speaker 6: Text three zero four nine three five five zero zero eight.
- 48:51Speaker 6: H let me let me just say this before I
- 48:53Speaker 6: get to the text. Here's where well, no, no, no,
- 48:56Speaker 6: I said no, no, back up because I said I
- 48:58Speaker 6: was more interested in what you have to say. So
- 49:00Speaker 6: I am going to leave it up to you, and
- 49:02Speaker 6: if I have time tomorrow or whatever, I'll get into
- 49:04Speaker 6: my thoughts. It's all about It's all about you, all right,
- 49:07Speaker 6: Tex says in God we trust, perhaps not. There's no
- 49:11Speaker 6: one who has more broken promises than God. By the way,
- 49:14Speaker 6: if you're listening, I didn't say that, the texture didn't,
- 49:18Speaker 6: text says. Patriot and Mobile is a cellular company that
- 49:22Speaker 6: markets to conservatives under the premise of not paying for
- 49:25Speaker 6: liberal phone service companies, but they use the towers from
- 49:28Speaker 6: the liberal companies and Patriot Mobiles surely pays to use
- 49:31Speaker 6: the towers, So those dupe conservatives are technically paying for
- 49:35Speaker 6: liberal companies, says a Texter. This is the people one
- 49:38Speaker 6: of the groups that paid for the signs we're talking about.
- 49:40Speaker 6: Text says this round of in God we trust. It's
- 49:42Speaker 6: just like the first round of it. It's a reaction
- 49:44Speaker 6: of scared conservatives. What are they scared of? The first
- 49:46Speaker 6: round of it was communism? This round LGBT, pocs, Muslims,
- 49:51Speaker 6: brown skin, immigrants, electric cars, solar panels, vaccines, people smarter
- 49:54Speaker 6: than them, education, It's really an undending list of fears.
- 49:58Speaker 6: As a texture tex says Dave. Have you seen the
- 50:01Speaker 6: chaos that just happened into Paul? Now?
- 50:03Speaker 2: I didn't.
- 50:03Speaker 6: It wasn't my day to watching Nepaul. Their communist government
- 50:06Speaker 6: officials are being hunted down, chased, stripped, and beaten in
- 50:09Speaker 6: broad daylight. Anti commy protesters are setting fire to the
- 50:13Speaker 6: homes of leaders and even torching the Parliament building. Their
- 50:16Speaker 6: gend z citizens were simply arranging peaceful protests against corruption,
- 50:20Speaker 6: but then the government banned all social media, basically shutting
- 50:23Speaker 6: down the Internet. Nineteen kids were killed the first day
- 50:25Speaker 6: of protests. After that, all hill broke loose against government officials.
- 50:29Speaker 6: There the people had enough, all right, Texas, Dave, you
- 50:33Speaker 6: were talking about the team thugs who killed the store worker.
- 50:36Speaker 6: Look at it this way. Thirteen percent of smoke alarms
- 50:38Speaker 6: cause eighty percent of the beeps. There's your answer, tex
- 50:45Speaker 6: says Dave. Great to see public schools in West Virginian
- 50:48Speaker 6: displaying in God, we trust science, finally acknowledging what is
- 50:52Speaker 6: important in life common sense. All right, I guess, and look,
- 50:56Speaker 6: I am not opposed to the science at all. Here's
- 50:59Speaker 6: where I am on this, Okay, And now I've read
- 51:02Speaker 6: through all the text, I'll tell you where I am
- 51:03Speaker 6: on it. I am not opposed to them at all. However,
- 51:06Speaker 6: I don't know what good they actually do because their
- 51:08Speaker 6: words on a sign. And as a kid that went
- 51:10Speaker 6: to school of the nineteen seventies, and we did the
- 51:13Speaker 6: and I'm as patriotic as the next person, don't get
- 51:15Speaker 6: me wrong, but we did the Pledge of allegiance. We
- 51:17Speaker 6: did the Lord's Prayer every morning, we prayed before lunch.
- 51:21Speaker 6: You know, the whole God is great, God's good. And
- 51:22Speaker 6: we thinking for a food, buy a sence. We show
- 51:23Speaker 6: we've had now to give us lord of data bread
- 51:25Speaker 6: a man. That's about how fast we went through it
- 51:27Speaker 6: because we were more interested in getting to the blowney
- 51:28Speaker 6: sandwich or I didn't eat in the cafeteria, so I
- 51:31Speaker 6: don't know what they had there. So I don't know
- 51:34Speaker 6: that putting up a sign with words on it is going.
- 51:37Speaker 6: I don't know that a school shooter or anybody that's
- 51:39Speaker 6: going to do bad is going to walk in and go,
- 51:41Speaker 6: oh God, we trust. Yeah, I can't do that here,
- 51:44Speaker 6: kind of like gun free zones in cities. Not opposed
- 51:47Speaker 6: to it. I just think I just think it's a
- 51:49Speaker 6: waste of time. That's detches me. I think your time
- 51:51Speaker 6: could be spent in other ways. But hey, private company's
- 51:54Speaker 6: paying for it. Legislature passed it. You do you? TJ.
- 51:57Speaker 6: Meadows coming up with talk where are you on this
- 52:00Speaker 6: sign thing? Yeah, I don't have a problem with it.
- 52:02Speaker 10: I'm much more concerned about whether or not someone sharing
- 52:04Speaker 10: the Gospel with a child, though, than a sign being
- 52:06Speaker 10: Then the.
- 52:07Speaker 6: Sign does absolutely sign does what's what's what's the book
- 52:10Speaker 6: say about words without deeds? It does nothing? Yeah, it doesn't,
- 52:14Speaker 6: absolutely nothing but make you feel good about yourself? Are
- 52:16Speaker 6: you all right? We got on the Shadow. We saw
- 52:18Speaker 6: it for that, all right.
