Three train cars derailed in Richmond, spilling corn into the canal — cleanup is underway and expected to finish this weekend. CSX crews are working to restore the track by July 8th, while tourism continues with canal tours back open — though Dock Street between 18th and 22nd is closed, with East Main and East Cary as detours. The Capital Trail is also shut from 18th to Pear Street, so cyclists and walkers should use East Cary. Parking remains available.
