Transcript
- 0:04[SPEAKER_00]: in today's verse 15, we're going to spend time reflecting on how worthy God is of our devotion.

- 0:20[SPEAKER_00]: May we authentically give God our devotion today as we take time to discover
- 0:57[SPEAKER_00]: Scripture for today comes from Isaiah 6 verse 3, Scripture says, holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts.
- 1:10[SPEAKER_00]: The whole earth is full of His glory.
- 1:16[SPEAKER_00]: Throughout Scripture, we see a powerful principle exemplified.
- 1:20[SPEAKER_00]: When God is seen for who He truly is, the natural response of the fear is full and absolute devotion.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_00]: When God reveals His glory, love, power, holiness and splendor, the fear responds with absolute commitment and worship.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_00]: I believe that God would reveal Himself to us today in simple but mighty ways.
- 1:50[SPEAKER_00]: I believe that He longs for us to see Him as He truly is, and that His chief desire is our devotion.
- 2:00[SPEAKER_00]: May we see God face the face today and be forever changed by a fresh revelation of this God who would give up everything for relationship with us.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_00]: Isaiah chapter 6 exemplifies both a vision of God and a response of devotion.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_00]: Isaiah has an open vision of the majesty of God in heaven.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_00]: He sees God on his throne and hears angels declaring his holiness and splendor by saying,
- 2:43[SPEAKER_00]: And in response to this vision, Isaiah six, eight says, and I heard the voice of the Lord saying, whom shall I send and who will go for us?
- 2:55[SPEAKER_00]: Then I said, here I am, send to me.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_00]: Isaiah responds to seeing God with full devotion.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_00]: God doesn't ask for your devotion the way man does.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_00]: He doesn't offer you ultimatums or transactional-based benefits if you will love him.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_00]: Devotion to him is meant to be the natural response of seeing God for who he is, because he is inherently worthy of every bit of devotion we can bring to him.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_00]: He is worthy of our allegiance,
- 3:38[SPEAKER_00]: He is worthy of our obedience, because his will is both noble and perfect.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_00]: He is worthy of our worship, because he is the Almighty God, to whom all creation offers ceaseless praise.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_00]: And he is worthy of our hearts, because he is the God of love and mercy, who has created us for relationship with him.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_00]: Too often we mistake God's mercy and grace as opportunities to go our own way and come back to him as we please or when we need something
- 4:20[SPEAKER_00]: To often, we treat his love as an opiate for our problems, rather than the foundation on which we devote our lives in humble submission to him.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_00]: God is patient.
- 4:35[SPEAKER_00]: He is kind.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_00]: He will never force or manipulate us into loving him.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_00]: But his patience, kindness, and gentleness do not change the fact that he is king of kings, Lord of Lords, and creator of all, and that he is worthy and deserving of our sea's list of ocean.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_00]: Run to meet your God in the secret place today.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_00]: Look upon His face and see Him for both the loving and majestic God He is.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_00]: He longs to reveal His nature to you.
- 5:14[SPEAKER_00]: He longs for you to search out the depths of Him and be awed by His wonder and mystery.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_00]: spend time in prayer, meeting with your loving Heavenly Father, and responding to His nature with your love, worship, and devotion.
