  Speaker 1: TV was imperative to TNA if they were going to

  Speaker 1: try to grow their audience and just grow the brand.

  Speaker 1: So when they made the announcement a few months ago

  Speaker 1: about the AMC deal, it was great news and it

  Speaker 1: is great news for the company. No matter what we

  Speaker 1: talk about here today about this debut installment of TNA

  Speaker 1: impact on AMC, it is a good thing that TNA
• 0:47
  Speaker 1: is on AMC now. And you would think that, you know,

  Speaker 1: especially for their big debut here on this network, that
• 0:54
  Speaker 1: they would put their best foot forward and try to
• 0:56
  Speaker 1: really hit a home run because I think that, you know,

  Speaker 1: when you debut on a new network like this and

  Speaker 1: you're trying to reel in new fans, you really want

  Speaker 1: to just grab them by the throat and just pull

  Speaker 1: them in, right. You want to find some way to

  Speaker 1: just pull those fans in and make them go, oh

  Speaker 1: my god, I got to tune into this show next

  Speaker 1: week and the week after that and the week after that.

  Speaker 1: Right that that should have been the mission. And of

  Speaker 1: course they have a pay per view to promote on

  Speaker 1: Saturday as well because we have Genesis coming up. So

  Speaker 1: tonight was the big debut on AMC network, which if

  Speaker 1: you forgot, they certainly reminded you many many, many many

  Speaker 1: times here tonight, which is understandable, but it is impossible

  Speaker 1: One thing I don't understand before anything else, I don't

  Speaker 1: understand how it is possible that this show has worse

  Speaker 1: production values than at Day eleven years ago. Like when

  Speaker 1: we're thinking back to TNA in twenty twelve, twenty fourteen,

  Speaker 1: regressed since then? Because to me, that was one of

  Speaker 1: the things that was actually very noticeable when they came

  Speaker 1: I don't mean that in a good way. So I

  Speaker 1: don't know how that works or how that's possible. There's

  Speaker 1: a lot of things I don't understand about this show.

  Speaker 1: Forgetting the production value stuff. I don't understand bringing Perez

  Speaker 1: the list here. We had three matches. We have three

  Speaker 1: matches on this two hour show, and the rest of

  Speaker 1: it was filled with various other segments and promos. AJ

  Speaker 1: Styles made an appearance didn't do much of anything. It

  Speaker 1: really did feel like AJ was more of a almost

  Speaker 1: like a make good because there were reports that WWE

  Speaker 1: might want to use Leon Slater on their European tour

  Speaker 1: and I'm not sure if Leon Slater look it ended

  Speaker 1: up being a visa issue, and I'm going to get

  Speaker 1: into that here in a second, but I just wonder

  Speaker 1: if it was almost like, well, you know you're gonna

  Speaker 1: be missing Leon Slay or some people will give you Aja.

  Speaker 1: wrestling promotion in the world. They're going to become number two,

  Speaker 1: it's just complete bullshit. And now that I have seen

  Speaker 1: this debut episode of Impact on AMC, I would hope

  Speaker 1: for all. First of all, their main focus shouldn't be

  Speaker 1: the best possible show that they can, right, And everybody

  Speaker 1: I mentioned that there were some visa issues with some talent.

  Speaker 1: by the US government surprise, surprise. The issues would impact

  Speaker 1: talents from the UK and Canada. Specifically X Division champion

  Speaker 1: Leon Slater would be the biggest name waiting for approval

  Speaker 1: that we have heard. There are several staffers from Canada

  Speaker 1: who are also not able to travel to work while

  Speaker 1: the processing is still in flux. TNA management and Creative

  Speaker 1: have been working on alternative plans and ideas over the

  Speaker 1: last forty eight hours, we are told, and that is unfortunate.

  Speaker 1: the show against Myron Reid of the Rascals, the Rascals

  Speaker 1: who are no longer employed by TNA. The Rascals have

  Speaker 1: jumped ship and they are now working for AW, So

  Speaker 1: that match was likely not going to happen anyway, even
• 7:36
  Speaker 1: though Myron Reid apparently said he would be willing to

  Speaker 1: still do the match and do the job even if

  Speaker 1: Leon Slater was able to wrestle. Who knows if that

  Speaker 1: match actually would have taken place. I'm guessing it would

  Speaker 1: not have. But as I'm watching the show, something that

  Speaker 1: struck me. There were multiple video retrospectives showing past moments

  Speaker 1: in TA in a history, past stars and legends that

  Speaker 1: have appeared for TNA over the years, and some of

  Speaker 1: the great champions the X Division. They had a video

  Speaker 1: on the X Division. They had a video on the

  Speaker 1: Knockouts Division. They showed the beautiful people and all of

  Speaker 1: these different individuals. You know what I would have rather
• 8:21
  Speaker 1: have gotten here on this show instead of a video
• 8:23
  Speaker 1: showing the Knockouts and how great the Knockouts Division has
• 8:27
  Speaker 1: been over the years, it would have been nice to
• 8:29
  Speaker 1: get a really great Knockouts match. We had a Knockouts
• 8:33
  Speaker 1: Tag team title match tonight that was not good. It
• 8:35
  Speaker 1: would have been nice to get, you know, like a
• 8:37
  Speaker 1: one on one really good Knockouts match to illustrate the
• 8:41
  Speaker 1: Knockouts Division and the talent that they have in that
• 8:44
  Speaker 1: division instead of getting a video on it. And it

  Speaker 1: would have been nice to get, in a similar fashion,
• 8:50
  Speaker 1: a great X Division match. Maybe not X Division title

  Speaker 1: because the champion wasn't available, but he's not the only
• 8:57
  Speaker 1: one in the X Division. It would have been nice

  Speaker 1: to get a real hot X Division match, maybe right

  Speaker 1: after that AJ Styles you know, opening segment or at

  Speaker 1: the top of the second hour or something like that,

  Speaker 1: instead of getting a video about all the great X

  Speaker 1: Division champions that we have had here in TNA history,

  Speaker 1: and we didn't have any of that. Instead, we had

  Speaker 1: Mike Santana, who is out there doing his damned is

  Speaker 1: doing Mike Santana things and doing his damned this to

  Speaker 1: salvage this show. He is once again the TNA World

  Speaker 1: Heavyweight Champion. Mike Santana never should have lost the TNA

  Speaker 1: World title to begin with, if you think back to

  Speaker 1: what happened Mike Santana, this great story about him struggling
• 9:40
  Speaker 1: and clawing and scratching his way to the TNA World Championship,

  Speaker 1: and finally he does it. At Bound for Glory, he

  Speaker 1: gets his moment and his daughter is in the ring

  Speaker 1: and he presents the belt to his daughter. He bows

  Speaker 1: down to his daughter. What a wonderful moment. Right finished

  Speaker 1: his story, and then TNA basically I think, went on

  Speaker 1: hiatus for a month, took a vacation. They come back,

  Speaker 1: remember Santana can't be reached. TNA management is calling his phone,

  Speaker 1: He's not returning texts and phone calls. What's going on

  Speaker 1: with Mike Santana. They were trying to work some of

  Speaker 1: the dirt sheets, and then Carlos Silva said there would

  Speaker 1: Knockouts Division, Sonya Deville, who we have not seen on

  Speaker 1: television since he was released or I guess her contract

  Speaker 1: was allowed to expire by WWE. She is now officially
• 14:49
  Speaker 1: a member of the TNA roster and I assume she'll wrestle,
• 14:52
  Speaker 1: but she is going to be in a position of power.

  Speaker 1: She's now going to be the heel authority figure on
• 14:58
  Speaker 1: the show, opposite Santino Morele. He's the director of authority.

  Speaker 1: She's the director of operations. So she was on the

  Speaker 1: show tonight and her first order of business was to

  Speaker 1: introduce the newest member of the Knockouts Division, the former

  Speaker 1: Corra Jade Elena Black, who has not wrestled a match

  Speaker 1: since leaving WWE last year. She is now a part

  Speaker 1: of the TNA knockouts roster. And do you know who

  Speaker 1: else we had on the show tonight, Dixie Carter. Yes,

  Speaker 1: it's been quite some time since I was doing my

  Speaker 1: impact reviews and talking about delusional Dixie. Now we're going

  Speaker 1: and the fans don't forget she got booed out of

  Speaker 1: minor surprises like that. But when the show is over,

  Speaker 1: I just felt, man, what a missed opportunity this was.
