Latest / Solomonster Sounds Off / TNA Impact 1/15/26 Review | AMC Debut FALLS FLAT And Not Even A NEW CHAMPION Can Save It
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Oh man, you know, eleven years ago, it was actually
- 0:03Speaker 1: over eleven years ago TNA left Spike TV. That was
- 0:08Speaker 1: the best television that they ever had. It was the
- 0:10Speaker 1: biggest audience they ever had, and the company really has
- 0:14Speaker 1: not been the same since ever since they left Spike.
- 0:18Speaker 1: So getting television on really any network other than Access
- 0:24Speaker 1: TV was imperative to TNA if they were going to
- 0:26Speaker 1: try to grow their audience and just grow the brand.
- 0:30Speaker 1: So when they made the announcement a few months ago
- 0:33Speaker 1: about the AMC deal, it was great news and it
- 0:36Speaker 1: is great news for the company. No matter what we
- 0:40Speaker 1: talk about here today about this debut installment of TNA
- 0:44Speaker 1: impact on AMC, it is a good thing that TNA
- 0:47Speaker 1: is on AMC now. And you would think that, you know,
- 0:51Speaker 1: especially for their big debut here on this network, that
- 0:54Speaker 1: they would put their best foot forward and try to
- 0:56Speaker 1: really hit a home run because I think that, you know,
- 1:01Speaker 1: when you debut on a new network like this and
- 1:03Speaker 1: you're trying to reel in new fans, you really want
- 1:06Speaker 1: to just grab them by the throat and just pull
- 1:09Speaker 1: them in, right. You want to find some way to
- 1:11Speaker 1: just pull those fans in and make them go, oh
- 1:14Speaker 1: my god, I got to tune into this show next
- 1:16Speaker 1: week and the week after that and the week after that.
- 1:18Speaker 1: Right that that should have been the mission. And of
- 1:20Speaker 1: course they have a pay per view to promote on
- 1:22Speaker 1: Saturday as well because we have Genesis coming up. So
- 1:25Speaker 1: tonight was the big debut on AMC network, which if
- 1:29Speaker 1: you forgot, they certainly reminded you many many, many many
- 1:33Speaker 1: times here tonight, which is understandable, but it is impossible
- 1:38Speaker 1: not to know where the show now is being broadcast.
- 1:41Speaker 1: One thing I don't understand before anything else, I don't
- 1:45Speaker 1: understand how it is possible that this show has worse
- 1:50Speaker 1: production values than at Day eleven years ago. Like when
- 1:54Speaker 1: we're thinking back to TNA in twenty twelve, twenty fourteen,
- 1:58Speaker 1: how is it that they had better production values then
- 2:00Speaker 1: than they do in twenty twenty six How have they
- 2:03Speaker 1: regressed since then? Because to me, that was one of
- 2:06Speaker 1: the things that was actually very noticeable when they came
- 2:08Speaker 1: on the air tonight, was how different it looked. And
- 2:11Speaker 1: I don't mean that in a good way. So I
- 2:14Speaker 1: don't know how that works or how that's possible. There's
- 2:18Speaker 1: a lot of things I don't understand about this show.
- 2:21Speaker 1: Forgetting the production value stuff. I don't understand bringing Perez
- 2:26Speaker 1: Hilton in for this show and paying him more than
- 2:30Speaker 1: fifty bucks to do what he did. He didn't have
- 2:33Speaker 1: a huge role on the show, but that was sort
- 2:36Speaker 1: of the big celebrity they were promoting, and he was
- 2:39Speaker 1: also promoting it on his social media heading into this show.
- 2:41Speaker 1: I don't know who that appeals to. I don't know.
- 2:44Speaker 1: I don't know whose idea that was to even invite
- 2:47Speaker 1: him to be there. So that's one of those things
- 2:49Speaker 1: I don't really understand. I also don't understand them multiple
- 2:53Speaker 1: times cutting to a shot of the parking lot outside
- 2:58Speaker 1: the venue in Dallas where they and showing a virtually
- 3:02Speaker 1: empty parking lot. I'm not sure who came up with
- 3:04Speaker 1: that as a production idea, like, hey, let's cut to
- 3:08Speaker 1: an empty parking lot outside. That was actually kind of funny,
- 3:12Speaker 1: not something I would have done, but they did that
- 3:15Speaker 1: more than once here on this show. And I mean,
- 3:17Speaker 1: you could just go down you can just go down
- 3:19Speaker 1: the list here. We had three matches. We have three
- 3:22Speaker 1: matches on this two hour show, and the rest of
- 3:27Speaker 1: it was filled with various other segments and promos. AJ
- 3:32Speaker 1: Styles made an appearance didn't do much of anything. It
- 3:37Speaker 1: really did feel like AJ was more of a almost
- 3:41Speaker 1: like a make good because there were reports that WWE
- 3:44Speaker 1: might want to use Leon Slater on their European tour
- 3:47Speaker 1: and I'm not sure if Leon Slater look it ended
- 3:50Speaker 1: up being a visa issue, and I'm going to get
- 3:52Speaker 1: into that here in a second, but I just wonder
- 3:55Speaker 1: if it was almost like, well, you know you're gonna
- 3:57Speaker 1: be missing Leon Slay or some people will give you Aja.
- 4:02Speaker 1: He can't really do anything with him, but at least
- 4:04Speaker 1: he can make an appearance on the show, and AJ
- 4:06Speaker 1: Styles just making an appearance was at least good enough
- 4:09Speaker 1: for TNA to be able to promote for a few days.
- 4:12Speaker 1: They didn't have a lot of time to promote that
- 4:14Speaker 1: Styles was going to be on the show. But it's
- 4:15Speaker 1: a good thing they didn't go overboard on the promotion
- 4:18Speaker 1: because again, in the end, he really didn't do anything.
- 4:19Speaker 1: He didn't factor into anything. He did appear in a
- 4:23Speaker 1: few different segments briefly, but if you were tuning in thinking, okay, well,
- 4:27Speaker 1: the last time we saw Aj Styles, he showed up
- 4:30Speaker 1: and cut a promo and put over Leon Slater, and
- 4:33Speaker 1: so this time maybe they have something a little more
- 4:35Speaker 1: involved than mine for him, And nope, he actually did
- 4:38Speaker 1: less of this time than he did back at Slammiversary,
- 4:41Speaker 1: the last time we saw him. But I'm watching this
- 4:46Speaker 1: show and I'm just thinking back to Eric Bischoff, and
- 4:52Speaker 1: I have questions that people will send me asking me
- 4:55Speaker 1: what do I think about Eric Bischoff saying and I
- 4:58Speaker 1: guess he said this multiple times. Now, this is the
- 5:02Speaker 1: year where TNA is going to become the number two
- 5:05Speaker 1: wrestling promotion in the world. They're going to become number two,
- 5:09Speaker 1: right watch out aw And it was nonsensical when he
- 5:13Speaker 1: said it before, and I didn't take it seriously because
- 5:16Speaker 1: it's just complete bullshit. And now that I have seen
- 5:20Speaker 1: this debut episode of Impact on AMC, I would hope
- 5:23Speaker 1: that we can put this shit to bed once and
- 5:24Speaker 1: for all. First of all, their main focus shouldn't be
- 5:27Speaker 1: becoming number two. Their main focus should be putting on
- 5:30Speaker 1: the best possible show that they can, right, And everybody
- 5:33Speaker 1: else will worry and pick knits about whether or not
- 5:36Speaker 1: they're number two, number three, or whatever. But I hear this,
- 5:40Speaker 1: and I again, people take it seriously. Oh, do you
- 5:42Speaker 1: think it's possible they can become the number two promotion. No, No,
- 5:47Speaker 1: it was nonsensical before when he said it, and it's
- 5:50Speaker 1: nonsensical now that the first show is in the books.
- 5:52Speaker 1: So I don't want to hear about that anymore. But
- 5:55Speaker 1: I mentioned that there were some visa issues with some talent.
- 5:58Speaker 1: I'll just read to you here. This was an update
- 6:00Speaker 1: that was posted earlier by Mike Johnson on PW insider
- 6:04Speaker 1: dot com. TNA has undergone rewrites and will be changing
- 6:09Speaker 1: some plans leading into Tonight's premiere and Saturday's Genesis pay
- 6:12Speaker 1: per view. The changes were necessitated by a number of
- 6:16Speaker 1: international talents no longer being able to perform as processing
- 6:20Speaker 1: for twenty twenty six work visas had not been completed
- 6:24Speaker 1: by the US government surprise, surprise. The issues would impact
- 6:28Speaker 1: talents from the UK and Canada. Specifically X Division champion
- 6:32Speaker 1: Leon Slater would be the biggest name waiting for approval
- 6:35Speaker 1: that we have heard. There are several staffers from Canada
- 6:38Speaker 1: who are also not able to travel to work while
- 6:41Speaker 1: the processing is still in flux. TNA management and Creative
- 6:45Speaker 1: have been working on alternative plans and ideas over the
- 6:47Speaker 1: last forty eight hours, we are told, and that is unfortunate.
- 6:53Speaker 1: It's one of those circumstances that, yeah, I would say
- 6:57Speaker 1: TNA has no control over it. I don't know how
- 7:00Speaker 1: how you know the process works where TNA is concerned,
- 7:05Speaker 1: and how early that process was started. Did people drop
- 7:08Speaker 1: the ball on it, did they wait too long? Or
- 7:11Speaker 1: is it just that everything's a fucking shit show now
- 7:13Speaker 1: and it was really out of TNA's hands. So it's
- 7:16Speaker 1: unfortunate that you know it affected plans. Obviously, Leon Slater
- 7:21Speaker 1: was originally going to defend the X Division title on
- 7:23Speaker 1: the show against Myron Reid of the Rascals, the Rascals
- 7:26Speaker 1: who are no longer employed by TNA. The Rascals have
- 7:30Speaker 1: jumped ship and they are now working for AW, So
- 7:33Speaker 1: that match was likely not going to happen anyway, even
- 7:36Speaker 1: though Myron Reid apparently said he would be willing to
- 7:39Speaker 1: still do the match and do the job even if
- 7:42Speaker 1: Leon Slater was able to wrestle. Who knows if that
- 7:44Speaker 1: match actually would have taken place. I'm guessing it would
- 7:47Speaker 1: not have. But as I'm watching the show, something that
- 7:52Speaker 1: struck me. There were multiple video retrospectives showing past moments
- 7:59Speaker 1: in TA in a history, past stars and legends that
- 8:03Speaker 1: have appeared for TNA over the years, and some of
- 8:08Speaker 1: the great champions the X Division. They had a video
- 8:11Speaker 1: on the X Division. They had a video on the
- 8:12Speaker 1: Knockouts Division. They showed the beautiful people and all of
- 8:16Speaker 1: these different individuals. You know what I would have rather
- 8:21Speaker 1: have gotten here on this show instead of a video
- 8:23Speaker 1: showing the Knockouts and how great the Knockouts Division has
- 8:27Speaker 1: been over the years, it would have been nice to
- 8:29Speaker 1: get a really great Knockouts match. We had a Knockouts
- 8:33Speaker 1: Tag team title match tonight that was not good. It
- 8:35Speaker 1: would have been nice to get, you know, like a
- 8:37Speaker 1: one on one really good Knockouts match to illustrate the
- 8:41Speaker 1: Knockouts Division and the talent that they have in that
- 8:44Speaker 1: division instead of getting a video on it. And it
- 8:48Speaker 1: would have been nice to get, in a similar fashion,
- 8:50Speaker 1: a great X Division match. Maybe not X Division title
- 8:54Speaker 1: because the champion wasn't available, but he's not the only
- 8:57Speaker 1: one in the X Division. It would have been nice
- 8:59Speaker 1: to get a real hot X Division match, maybe right
- 9:03Speaker 1: after that AJ Styles you know, opening segment or at
- 9:07Speaker 1: the top of the second hour or something like that,
- 9:09Speaker 1: instead of getting a video about all the great X
- 9:12Speaker 1: Division champions that we have had here in TNA history,
- 9:16Speaker 1: and we didn't have any of that. Instead, we had
- 9:18Speaker 1: Mike Santana, who is out there doing his damned is
- 9:21Speaker 1: doing Mike Santana things and doing his damned this to
- 9:26Speaker 1: salvage this show. He is once again the TNA World
- 9:30Speaker 1: Heavyweight Champion. Mike Santana never should have lost the TNA
- 9:33Speaker 1: World title to begin with, if you think back to
- 9:37Speaker 1: what happened Mike Santana, this great story about him struggling
- 9:40Speaker 1: and clawing and scratching his way to the TNA World Championship,
- 9:43Speaker 1: and finally he does it. At Bound for Glory, he
- 9:45Speaker 1: gets his moment and his daughter is in the ring
- 9:47Speaker 1: and he presents the belt to his daughter. He bows
- 9:50Speaker 1: down to his daughter. What a wonderful moment. Right finished
- 9:53Speaker 1: his story, and then TNA basically I think, went on
- 9:57Speaker 1: hiatus for a month, took a vacation. They come back,
- 10:00Speaker 1: and the very first event, the very first taping they do,
- 10:04Speaker 1: he loses the championship first fucking night back and they
- 10:08Speaker 1: take the title off of him in some ridiculous angle
- 10:12Speaker 1: where he is beaten up by the Jabrones of the
- 10:15Speaker 1: NXT roster. The NX team mid card, and then they
- 10:21Speaker 1: tried to shoot some kind of dumb angle where I
- 10:24Speaker 1: remember Santana can't be reached. TNA management is calling his phone,
- 10:29Speaker 1: He's not returning texts and phone calls. What's going on
- 10:32Speaker 1: with Mike Santana. They were trying to work some of
- 10:34Speaker 1: the dirt sheets, and then Carlos Silva said there would
- 10:38Speaker 1: be an investigation in all this nonsense, and where the
- 10:40Speaker 1: hell did that really go? That made it all worthwhile?
- 10:42Speaker 1: It was all bullshit? Also, what they can do a
- 10:46Speaker 1: rematch for the championship here on AMC. You could have
- 10:49Speaker 1: done any number of great Maine events here on AMC.
- 10:52Speaker 1: I get the idea. But he never should have lost
- 10:54Speaker 1: the championship in the first place, So of course it
- 10:57Speaker 1: was the right move for them to get the belt
- 10:58Speaker 1: back on him, because he never should have lost it
- 11:00Speaker 1: to begin with, not that soon. So now he's the
- 11:04Speaker 1: TNA World Heavyweight Champion again. Easily the best thing on
- 11:06Speaker 1: the entire show. Kind of fell apart a little bit
- 11:09Speaker 1: there towards the end there were it got a little
- 11:12Speaker 1: messy there at the end, but easily the best thing
- 11:15Speaker 1: on the entire show here tonight. And now he goes
- 11:19Speaker 1: into Genesis this Saturday, there's gonna be another match. They're
- 11:22Speaker 1: gonna run it back again, and they're gonna do Santana
- 11:24Speaker 1: and Kazarian again. Nick Nemmath supposedly was gonna call his
- 11:29Speaker 1: shot on this show. He's got the whole call call
- 11:32Speaker 1: your shot gimmick, and he was gonna come out at
- 11:35Speaker 1: the end of the match. He never did. He in fact,
- 11:37Speaker 1: he wasn't even on the show. His brother was on
- 11:39Speaker 1: the show. He was not on the show. I can
- 11:42Speaker 1: only assume because they're saving it for the pay per
- 11:44Speaker 1: view this Saturday, where he will call his shot and
- 11:48Speaker 1: hopefully they're not dumb enough to take the belt right
- 11:50Speaker 1: back off Santana for a second time. So there was
- 11:55Speaker 1: no Nick Nemath and no, there was no Chris Jericho.
- 11:57Speaker 1: There was not because again these dumb rumors that go
- 11:59Speaker 1: around and you know they're gonna they're gonna bring Jericho in,
- 12:04Speaker 1: And like I'm watching this show. I'm maybe half an
- 12:07Speaker 1: hour into watching this show tonight, and I'm just thinking, man,
- 12:10Speaker 1: can you even think can you even imagine in your
- 12:12Speaker 1: mind he's been gone for almost a Yearone's talking about
- 12:15Speaker 1: him coming back to WWE and being in the rumble
- 12:18Speaker 1: if he had come out tonight on this show, Like
- 12:21Speaker 1: I'm sure the people in the building would have thought
- 12:23Speaker 1: it was cool. You know, we have wow, this actual
- 12:26Speaker 1: big surprise here on this show. But like, no, of
- 12:28Speaker 1: course Jericho is not going to be on this show.
- 12:31Speaker 1: And I'm sure Jericho was probably watching this show, going,
- 12:33Speaker 1: it's a good thing I'm not debuting here on this
- 12:36Speaker 1: show tonight. I'll think I'll wait for I'll wait for
- 12:38Speaker 1: the rumble. So there was no major surprise. They had
- 12:42Speaker 1: a few surprises. They had a few names pop up
- 12:45Speaker 1: here on this show, but there wasn't that like one
- 12:47Speaker 1: big surprise. Even at the end of the show. I
- 12:51Speaker 1: was thinking about that too, like in terms of hooking
- 12:53Speaker 1: in the viewer. They had Santana win the championship back,
- 12:57Speaker 1: which was fine, but I was wondering if there was
- 13:00Speaker 1: something that was going to happen or if somebody even
- 13:02Speaker 1: if somebody was going to like walk out and make
- 13:04Speaker 1: an appearance and you kind of go off the air
- 13:07Speaker 1: with a little cliffhanger, what's this person doing here? And
- 13:10Speaker 1: they opted not to do that. They gave us a clean,
- 13:13Speaker 1: well mostly clean finish in the main event, and they
- 13:15Speaker 1: just went off the air, there was really nothing to
- 13:18Speaker 1: add of the ordinary. You know, at the very end
- 13:20Speaker 1: of the show, they kind of let the title change
- 13:23Speaker 1: speak for itself. What they did tease on this show
- 13:27Speaker 1: was AJ Styles potentially going after Frankie Kazarian and the
- 13:30Speaker 1: TNA World Heavyweight Championship just to go ahead then and
- 13:33Speaker 1: take the championship off of Frankie Kazarian later in the show. So,
- 13:38Speaker 1: I don't know what that was about. AJ Styles. If
- 13:41Speaker 1: it were up to him, he would wrestle a match
- 13:43Speaker 1: in TNA. This is going to be his final year
- 13:46Speaker 1: in wrestling. We don't know how long or how deep
- 13:48Speaker 1: into the year he's going to go. If it were
- 13:50Speaker 1: up to him, he would have probably already wrestled the
- 13:53Speaker 1: match in TNA. It comes down to WWE and Nick
- 13:56Speaker 1: Conn and Paulaveck and whether or not they want to
- 13:58Speaker 1: will allow that to happen, and if so, who would
- 14:00Speaker 1: it be against. You could do AJ Styles and Frankie Kazarian,
- 14:03Speaker 1: but you know, without the belt on the line, that
- 14:05Speaker 1: takes some of the excitement away, because you certainly could
- 14:09Speaker 1: if you wanted to put the World Championship back on
- 14:11Speaker 1: AJ Styles. You know, a few months down the road,
- 14:14Speaker 1: one last time. I suppose I don't see that happening.
- 14:18Speaker 1: But Styles being on the show and not really doing
- 14:20Speaker 1: anything that was kind of disappointing. Didn't get physical with anybody, nothing, nothing,
- 14:25Speaker 1: And the one teas they gave us was for a
- 14:26Speaker 1: match that now would not even be for the championship,
- 14:29Speaker 1: so that was a little bizarre. But I mentioned some
- 14:33Speaker 1: surprises Sonya Deville. The surprises, honestly were limited to the
- 14:37Speaker 1: Knockouts Division, Sonya Deville, who we have not seen on
- 14:41Speaker 1: television since he was released or I guess her contract
- 14:44Speaker 1: was allowed to expire by WWE. She is now officially
- 14:49Speaker 1: a member of the TNA roster and I assume she'll wrestle,
- 14:52Speaker 1: but she is going to be in a position of power.
- 14:55Speaker 1: She's now going to be the heel authority figure on
- 14:58Speaker 1: the show, opposite Santino Morele. He's the director of authority.
- 15:01Speaker 1: She's the director of operations. So she was on the
- 15:05Speaker 1: show tonight and her first order of business was to
- 15:08Speaker 1: introduce the newest member of the Knockouts Division, the former
- 15:14Speaker 1: Corra Jade Elena Black, who has not wrestled a match
- 15:18Speaker 1: since leaving WWE last year. She is now a part
- 15:22Speaker 1: of the TNA knockouts roster. And do you know who
- 15:24Speaker 1: else we had on the show tonight, Dixie Carter. Yes,
- 15:30Speaker 1: it's been quite some time since I was doing my
- 15:33Speaker 1: impact reviews and talking about delusional Dixie. Now we're going
- 15:37Speaker 1: back to the old days at a sound This is like
- 15:39Speaker 1: old school sound off. Now Dixie Carter walks out there
- 15:43Speaker 1: and the fans don't forget she got booed out of
- 15:46Speaker 1: the building tonight, which just goes to show you that
- 15:50Speaker 1: at least we know the people that were there in
- 15:52Speaker 1: the building tonight. Those are the real like OG fans
- 15:55Speaker 1: Like these are the diehard TNA fans, the ones that
- 15:57Speaker 1: remember the Dixie days. And they did see very happy
- 16:00Speaker 1: to see her. But even she made an appearance here
- 16:03Speaker 1: on this show tonight, so they had a few, like
- 16:05Speaker 1: minor surprises like that. But when the show is over,
- 16:09Speaker 1: I just felt, man, what a missed opportunity this was.
- 16:11Speaker 1: This was not a show that I feel compelled to
- 16:13Speaker 1: watch again next week. And I won't be reviewing this
- 16:15Speaker 1: show like this is this is one and done here.
- 16:20Speaker 1: I've not got you back and reviewing the show every week.
- 16:22Speaker 1: That was never the plan anyway, And it's sure as
- 16:24Speaker 1: hell is not the plan. After tonight, I came away
- 16:26Speaker 1: from this show just feeling, man, this was just a misfire.
- 16:31Speaker 1: This was just a disappointing show. I don't know any
- 16:34Speaker 1: other way to put it. You know, I mean, you
- 16:37Speaker 1: watch this show. There's absolutely nothing that I saw on
- 16:40Speaker 1: this show tonight as a viewer, especially if I were
- 16:42Speaker 1: a new viewer, that would compel me to feel like
- 16:46Speaker 1: I have to tune in again next week. We'll see
- 16:50Speaker 1: if I'm right or wrong. I guess once the numbers
- 16:52Speaker 1: come in. But that's that's my feeling coming out of
- 16:55Speaker 1: this show. As the show was going along, I was
- 16:58Speaker 1: just waiting for it to kick out a first gear.
- 17:00Speaker 1: It never got out of first gear. It was it
- 17:03Speaker 1: was like in neutral the entire time. And it didn't
- 17:06Speaker 1: help that like WWE, when they tried out these dumb
- 17:08Speaker 1: d list celebrities that nobody either knows or gives a
- 17:11Speaker 1: fuck about because they're on Netflix. So we got to
- 17:14Speaker 1: have all the Netflix celebrities in the front row. This
- 17:17Speaker 1: guy's from this Netflix show and that guy's from that
- 17:19Speaker 1: Netflix show. It's like, okay, great, who gives a shit?
- 17:21Speaker 1: Now they're doing the same thing here, which they have
- 17:24Speaker 1: to because they're on a new network, right, they have
- 17:26Speaker 1: a new master to serve, So AMC is going to
- 17:29Speaker 1: want to promote their shit, and they're going to want
- 17:30Speaker 1: to promote their stars. And I guarantee you most of
- 17:33Speaker 1: the people watching this show tonight had no idea who
- 17:36Speaker 1: these people were, and probably don't even watch AMC outside
- 17:41Speaker 1: of TNA. It's probably their first time watching AMC. And
- 17:45Speaker 1: there was way too much of that. There was way
- 17:47Speaker 1: too It's almost as if they really took this show
- 17:52Speaker 1: and patterned it after a WWE show. And I don't
- 17:55Speaker 1: mean that in a good way, right down to the
- 17:58Speaker 1: post show credits, and I don't know if that's something
- 18:01Speaker 1: TNA started doing a while ago and I just never
- 18:05Speaker 1: noticed it, or if this was the first time they
- 18:06Speaker 1: did that, right down to the like the producer credit's
- 18:09Speaker 1: on screen at the very end of the show. It's
- 18:12Speaker 1: like they may not be owned by WWE, but you
- 18:15Speaker 1: could tell, you know, you could tell they're in business
- 18:17Speaker 1: with WWE, and they are in many ways subservient to
- 18:21Speaker 1: WWE and trying to model themselves after WWE since they
- 18:25Speaker 1: work together. And I don't know, I don't see that
- 18:27Speaker 1: as being a good thing either. I think you need
- 18:29Speaker 1: to kind of carve out your own identity. And maybe
- 18:32Speaker 1: that's the biggest issue with this show when you look
- 18:35Speaker 1: at the two big main national promotions, right, you have
- 18:40Speaker 1: WWE and you have AW with AW one of the
- 18:45Speaker 1: criticisms about the show, and some people may not look
- 18:48Speaker 1: at it as a criticism, right the AAW fans, the
- 18:51Speaker 1: AW sikos, they love this shit or it's just all
- 18:54Speaker 1: action all the time, right, match match match, match, match,
- 18:57Speaker 1: party match, not like NonStop every single week. And then
- 19:01Speaker 1: on the WWE side of things, sometimes we don't get
- 19:04Speaker 1: nearly enough action and we have too much of you know,
- 19:09Speaker 1: promoting this and celebrity that, and video packages and long
- 19:13Speaker 1: entrances and commercials and commercials and commercials. Right, So you
- 19:17Speaker 1: want to find kind of that that happy blend. What
- 19:22Speaker 1: TNA gave us tonight, they didn't give us anything that
- 19:25Speaker 1: we don't already get from the other two shows. The
- 19:28Speaker 1: other two shows they have taken the majority, like they have,
- 19:32Speaker 1: the market share of talent in this country is pretty
- 19:36Speaker 1: much locked down by WWE, ANDAAW. So their rosters, I
- 19:42Speaker 1: mean their roster, especially the AW roster, it's like it's
- 19:45Speaker 1: so bloated, it's unbelievable. They have so many people under
- 19:48Speaker 1: contract and their rosters just dwarf the TNA rosters, So
- 19:52Speaker 1: they already have this wealth of talent, a lot of
- 19:54Speaker 1: which they don't even know what to do with some
- 19:56Speaker 1: of that talent. But like everything I just described, we
- 19:59Speaker 1: get the either from AW or WWE, pick your poison,
- 20:02Speaker 1: whichever one, whichever one you like. What does TNA offer
- 20:06Speaker 1: that is so different from WWE and AW? How did
- 20:10Speaker 1: they differentiate themselves on this show? It felt like I
- 20:12Speaker 1: was watching WWE light with worse production values. There was
- 20:18Speaker 1: nothing to differentiate them in a way that really makes
- 20:21Speaker 1: you feel like you need to watch the show every
- 20:23Speaker 1: single week. And that's something that hopefully they could work
- 20:25Speaker 1: on in the weeks to come. This was Night one,
- 20:28Speaker 1: and they'll get their sea legs under them and hopefully
- 20:30Speaker 1: as time goes on, maybe they can find their own identity.
- 20:33Speaker 1: They just didn't feel like they had their own identity tonight.
- 20:35Speaker 1: They were relying more on their past identity with all
- 20:38Speaker 1: the looking back at the past and how great TNA
- 20:41Speaker 1: used to be, But they don't really have their own identity.
- 20:45Speaker 1: They don't have their own like style and way of
- 20:48Speaker 1: doing things like they're taking from here and they're taking
- 20:52Speaker 1: from there. That's my biggest issue with them right now,
- 20:57Speaker 1: just based on what I saw here tonight. Let's talk
- 21:02Speaker 1: about what happened here on this show. This is your
- 21:05Speaker 1: TNA impact on AMC Review here for Thursday, January fifteenth,
- 21:11Speaker 1: twenty twenty. I see you, Lisa Hey, Lisa Hey, I
- 21:17Speaker 1: told I told JD what was he he made the
- 21:20Speaker 1: comment when we were doing the year end awards. What
- 21:25Speaker 1: did he say the TNA promotion of the year. Don't
- 21:27Speaker 1: think I didn't throw that back in his faith promotion
- 21:29Speaker 1: of the Year. I didn't forget that. What's going on, Lisa?
- 21:35Speaker 1: I am a solemn monster. This is your impact on
- 21:38Speaker 1: AMC Review. Fifth day in a row of shows for me,
- 21:42Speaker 1: going back to Sunday. We have a day number six
- 21:45Speaker 1: tomorrow because we have SmackDown from Manchester, England. I'll be
- 21:50Speaker 1: watching that at three o'clock in the afternoon tomorrow. More wrestling,
- 21:54Speaker 1: non stop wrestling, like and subscribe. We are climbing very
- 21:58Speaker 1: close to ninety thousand subscribers. Super chats are open as well,
- 22:05Speaker 1: so if you would like to drop one, be reading
- 22:08Speaker 1: all of your messages. I would love to know what
- 22:11Speaker 1: you thought of Impact tonight if you watch the show,
- 22:14Speaker 1: so feel free to chime in on that. And we
- 22:19Speaker 1: have some we have some remode here on the stream.
- 22:24Speaker 1: Hey Brandon Proctor, thank you. It is time for the wheel.
- 22:27Speaker 1: We started this last night, so we have the wheel
- 22:31Speaker 1: here before we get into the review, and normally four
- 22:35Speaker 1: hundred likes is the minimum to do our be the
- 22:37Speaker 1: Booker segment. But we're gonna throw it to the wheel.
- 22:40Speaker 1: There's a lot of different likes totals on this wheel,
- 22:44Speaker 1: and we're gonna take this for a spin and we're
- 22:45Speaker 1: gonna see whatever it lands on. That is the minimum
- 22:47Speaker 1: number of likes that we need to do be the
- 22:53Speaker 1: Booker tonight. I think me spinning this wheel may be
- 22:57Speaker 1: more exciting than this Impact show. All right, here we go, Well,
- 23:07Speaker 1: there you go. Four hundred. We're sticking with our traditional
- 23:12Speaker 1: goal four hundred likes. That is the minimum number of
- 23:15Speaker 1: likes that we need. If we hit it, we will
- 23:17Speaker 1: do be the Booker later on tonight. There it is
- 23:21Speaker 1: the big four hundred. I love it. It's like the
- 23:24Speaker 1: wheel new We're just going to keep it to what
- 23:26Speaker 1: we normally have it at. I love it. The other
- 23:30Speaker 1: thing also that I wanted to mention for those of
- 23:33Speaker 1: you who may have missed it, there is a brand
- 23:36Speaker 1: new installment of a very fun segment. Now it's its own,
- 23:43Speaker 1: full blown show. It's a full blown oose now. RSPW
- 23:48Speaker 1: rewind nearly an hour long, too, fifty minutes, and it
- 23:53Speaker 1: is up right now for channel members. Here on the
- 23:56Speaker 1: channel you have early access to it. Everybody else will
- 23:59Speaker 1: get access to it next week. But if you are
- 24:02Speaker 1: a channel member and you missed it, go check it
- 24:03Speaker 1: out when we're done here. I had a lot of
- 24:05Speaker 1: fun putting this together, and hopefully you will have fun
- 24:08Speaker 1: watching along some of the comments about John Cena after
- 24:13Speaker 1: he debuted in two thousand and two and on into
- 24:17Speaker 1: two thousand and four. In two thousand and five, it's
- 24:20Speaker 1: a lot of Dave Meltzer posts about him as well. Anyway,
- 24:25Speaker 1: that's up right now, so go check that out. Become
- 24:29Speaker 1: a channel member, and everybody else, you guys, will get
- 24:31Speaker 1: it next week. Old school RSPW. You know, two thousand
- 24:37Speaker 1: and two, I may have to start looking up some
- 24:39Speaker 1: RSPW posts about the early days of TNA. Maybe that'll
- 24:43Speaker 1: be for the next installment. It gives me a good idea,
- 24:47Speaker 1: so they were live tonight. TNA was from Dallas, Texas,
- 24:51Speaker 1: and they had what looked like a good crowd. By
- 24:53Speaker 1: no means was the venue full. One thing that TNA
- 24:57Speaker 1: was very good at when they started hitting the road
- 24:59Speaker 1: back in I I want to say twenty ten. It
- 25:03Speaker 1: was actually around the time probably that they went live
- 25:05Speaker 1: on Monday nights and they got slaughtered the Monday Night skirmish,
- 25:11Speaker 1: which did not end well for TNA, so they immediately
- 25:13Speaker 1: moved impact. I think back to Thursday, whatever day of
- 25:17Speaker 1: the week it was. They got the hell away from Mondays.
- 25:19Speaker 1: But they were taking the show on the road, and
- 25:21Speaker 1: they were running these venues by and they were not
- 25:23Speaker 1: selling out, but they had a knack back then and
- 25:26Speaker 1: aaw does this also now because they don't always sell out.
- 25:29Speaker 1: But they were very good at making it look like
- 25:31Speaker 1: it was full, making sure that like on the hardcam
- 25:35Speaker 1: like it was all filled in and they had these
- 25:37Speaker 1: loud crowds so it sound didn't look like it was
- 25:39Speaker 1: sold out, but it really wasn't. So it looked pretty
- 25:42Speaker 1: full in the building tonight. It was a smaller venue,
- 25:47Speaker 1: very much like Dynamite, And in fact, this venue, the
- 25:52Speaker 1: Curtis Colwell Center, is the one I believe when aaw
- 25:55Speaker 1: runs Dallas, this is the building I believe that they
- 25:58Speaker 1: typically run in. Again, I laughed out loud when they
- 26:02Speaker 1: cut to a shot of the parking lot outside as
- 26:04Speaker 1: they were hyping up the show, and like, I'm not
- 26:07Speaker 1: even joking. I think there were two cars in the
- 26:10Speaker 1: parking lot. Why are you showing this? Where is everyone's car?
- 26:15Speaker 1: Did everybody walk to the building? Is the building within
- 26:18Speaker 1: walking distance of like a main area? Did everybody uber
- 26:24Speaker 1: to the Curtis Colwell Center? Where are the cars? I
- 26:30Speaker 1: don't know. Kind of appropriate though, I think, in many
- 26:34Speaker 1: ways for a TNA show. So after an opening video package,
- 26:38Speaker 1: they kicked off the AMC Era of Impact with a
- 26:42Speaker 1: WWE star. But in fairness, he is the biggest name
- 26:46Speaker 1: in I would say the biggest name in TNA history,
- 26:50Speaker 1: especially in terms of homegrown talents, and that would be
- 26:53Speaker 1: that man on screen right there, the phenomenal one aj
- 26:56Speaker 1: Styles kicking off the AMC Era of Impact. Here they
- 27:00Speaker 1: all took the bus. I think they did. I think
- 27:03Speaker 1: they had. I think they had like a like a
- 27:06Speaker 1: big party bus that probably bust people into the venue.
- 27:13Speaker 1: I think you may be onto something there. They had
- 27:18Speaker 1: Dixie with them on the party bus. Is there a
- 27:22Speaker 1: train stop around there? Will? I will throw that to
- 27:25Speaker 1: somebody watching who is familiar with that area. Maybe there
- 27:29Speaker 1: is a train that's close by, and the majority of
- 27:32Speaker 1: people chose to take the train. I don't know. I
- 27:36Speaker 1: don't know, says No. DFW is an expansive area. You
- 27:41Speaker 1: don't walk anywhere in Dallas or Texas for that matter. Well,
- 27:46Speaker 1: there you go, there's your answer. First thing I noticed
- 27:53Speaker 1: once AJ hit the ring was how small the ring was.
- 27:58Speaker 1: It reminded me of the first TNA show I ever
- 28:01Speaker 1: went to, you Live, which was here in New York
- 28:03Speaker 1: at Webster Hall, So it's a dancehall venue. It's not
- 28:07Speaker 1: a traditional venue you would run for a wrestling show,
- 28:10Speaker 1: so they had limited space. The ring was so fucking small,
- 28:13Speaker 1: and I'm like, I was in one of the first
- 28:15Speaker 1: few rows and I just remember sitting there with my
- 28:19Speaker 1: brother and I'm like, I've never seen a show in
- 28:22Speaker 1: a ring this small before. And that was in two
- 28:23Speaker 1: thousand and eight. So that's kind of what this ring
- 28:26Speaker 1: reminded me of, Like, there's no way the usual TNA
- 28:29Speaker 1: ring week to week is this small, I don't think.
- 28:32Speaker 1: So that was the first thing I noticed. So AJ
- 28:35Speaker 1: told us that he would keep it short, and I'm like, no, no, no,
- 28:39Speaker 1: please do more. I want you to keep it short.
- 28:42Speaker 1: They promoted you for the show. I don't want you
- 28:45Speaker 1: to just come in and wave high and leave. But
- 28:47Speaker 1: he's like, no, no, I'm gonna keep it short because
- 28:49Speaker 1: we got some wrestling to do. Oh yeah, oh yeah.
- 28:53Speaker 1: We have a whole three matches on this show tonight.
- 28:55Speaker 1: We have a lot of wrestling on this show. And
- 28:58Speaker 1: he welcomed us to the house that AJ Styles built,
- 29:03Speaker 1: and he told the fans you are TNA, you are
- 29:08Speaker 1: the TNA Nation, and it all starts with those three
- 29:12Speaker 1: letters TNA. And he led the crowd in a TNA
- 29:17Speaker 1: chant and he said, let's create some chaos. He didn't
- 29:22Speaker 1: do this. I don't know where this came from. Before
- 29:26Speaker 1: they cut to the new video intro for the show,
- 29:29Speaker 1: and I was just like, is that it is that
- 29:34Speaker 1: the last that we're going to see of AJ Styles
- 29:36Speaker 1: on this show. It wasn't, but really it may as
- 29:39Speaker 1: well have been, because he really didn't do anything for
- 29:41Speaker 1: the rest of the show. AJ was double parked. Well,
- 29:45Speaker 1: if he was double parked, he wasn't double parked in
- 29:47Speaker 1: the parking lot because there were no cars in the
- 29:51Speaker 1: parking lot, So where exactly would he be double parked? See,
- 29:56Speaker 1: I'm having more fun with you, guys than I was
- 29:57Speaker 1: watching this show tonight. I knew this would happen. I
- 30:02Speaker 1: love it. He was double parked. Where was he double parked?
- 30:09Speaker 1: Oh man? So from aj Styles they went to the
- 30:13Speaker 1: Hardy Boys and Elijah goes, hello, my name is Elijah.
- 30:18Speaker 1: It's the easiest gimmick in the world. You just take
- 30:20Speaker 1: the Elias gimmick and just replace Elias with Elijah, and
- 30:23Speaker 1: he's doing exactly the same thing he did in WWA.
- 30:27Speaker 1: This was his first match in nearly six years, six years,
- 30:33Speaker 1: six months, six months. How actually, how long has it
- 30:38Speaker 1: been since he was in WWE officially like under contract,
- 30:43Speaker 1: It's been a few year. It has been six years.
- 30:46Speaker 1: It feels like six years, I do. But he suffered
- 30:50Speaker 1: an injury. He tour his triceps actually working a match
- 30:53Speaker 1: in NXT, and so he's been gone for over six months.
- 30:57Speaker 1: So this was officially his first match back, and he
- 31:01Speaker 1: was teaming with the Hardies, who got a rock star
- 31:04Speaker 1: reaction coming out. Of course it's the Hardies, So they
- 31:07Speaker 1: made their way out to the ring for a match
- 31:09Speaker 1: against Order four, which is Mustafa Ali's faction here in
- 31:14Speaker 1: this company with Special Agent ten or zero is a
- 31:20Speaker 1: zero Special Agent zero in their corner. Ali and Elijah
- 31:26Speaker 1: are having a singles match at the Genesis pay per
- 31:28Speaker 1: view this Saturday, so that's kind of the tie in here.
- 31:32Speaker 1: And it was at this point that I started getting
- 31:34Speaker 1: some messages from people telling me that they were watching
- 31:38Speaker 1: the show on the TNA Plus streaming service and the
- 31:41Speaker 1: streaming service went dead and basically it said the show's over.
- 31:45Speaker 1: It ended the stream. Now, if you are someone who
- 31:49Speaker 1: watches on TNA Plus, I would love to know if
- 31:52Speaker 1: it was ever restored or if that was it, if
- 31:56Speaker 1: they just simply were not able to restore the feed
- 31:59Speaker 1: for the remainder of the night. Again, very LOLTNA moment there,
- 32:03Speaker 1: that on their big AMC debut night, their own streaming
- 32:07Speaker 1: service would go dead right at the beginning of the show.
- 32:11Speaker 1: So I think it happened actually during the Hardy's entrance here.
- 32:15Speaker 1: So then they went to a commercial break ninety seconds
- 32:18Speaker 1: into this match. Again very wwes here they went to
- 32:21Speaker 1: commercial break, and the first commercial that we got was
- 32:25Speaker 1: a car shield commercial and This is an old commercial,
- 32:30Speaker 1: so this is not new, but it's a car shield
- 32:33Speaker 1: commercial with La Knight and Rick Flair. This commercial has
- 32:38Speaker 1: to be at least five years old. It has to
- 32:40Speaker 1: be so Tasha steals at one point during this match here,
- 32:45Speaker 1: she attempted to get involved. She got into the ring
- 32:48Speaker 1: to distract Jeff Hardy. Matt Hardy ended up giving her
- 32:51Speaker 1: and most of fa Ali she was on his back
- 32:54Speaker 1: a double twist of fate for a near fall on Ali.
- 32:57Speaker 1: Shortly after, Jason Hotch of Order four he tagged in
- 33:03Speaker 1: for the Heel Group, but quickly took a big knee
- 33:06Speaker 1: from Elijah, a twist of fate from Matt Hardy, and
- 33:09Speaker 1: a swanton bomb from Jeff for the win. And look,
- 33:14Speaker 1: Jeff Hardy did not do too much here. He did
- 33:17Speaker 1: win the match for his team with a swanton bomb.
- 33:19Speaker 1: He absolutely crushed Jason Hodge. I mean he just landed
- 33:24Speaker 1: on him with all of his body weight on his
- 33:27Speaker 1: way down. For those who don't know, Jeff is hurting
- 33:30Speaker 1: right now. He is dealing with two bulging discs in
- 33:34Speaker 1: the left part of his neck, so he's medically cleared,
- 33:38Speaker 1: but he really he's not doing anything too crazy. He's
- 33:42Speaker 1: not really doing a whole hell of a lot, but
- 33:45Speaker 1: you know again, they kind of did some of the
- 33:46Speaker 1: greatest hits here in this match. Jeff picked up the
- 33:49Speaker 1: win for his team. Special Agent Zero got into the
- 33:52Speaker 1: ring when it was over, he attacked the Hardies and
- 33:55Speaker 1: then out came Vincent and Dutch the Righteous, challenging the
- 34:00Speaker 1: Hardys for the TNA tag team titles on the Genesis
- 34:04Speaker 1: pay per view this weekend. They helped Matt and Jeff
- 34:07Speaker 1: to their feet and then Dutch dropped Matt and Vincent
- 34:11Speaker 1: got Jeff down in the corner and he attached a
- 34:14Speaker 1: chain to I think it was through one of Jeff's
- 34:18Speaker 1: ear lobes or the you know, the ear ring or
- 34:21Speaker 1: the hole in his ear, whatever it was. He was
- 34:23Speaker 1: basically chained and trapped by his ear in the corner.
- 34:27Speaker 1: And then Vincent hit Matt with a swanton bomb and
- 34:31Speaker 1: that was it. There was nothing to this match. I mean,
- 34:34Speaker 1: it was all about, like, Okay, we're gonna put the
- 34:36Speaker 1: Hardies out there. We're going to go from AJ Styles
- 34:38Speaker 1: to the Hardys and really get people excited because these
- 34:41Speaker 1: are the stars on the show. Right People want to
- 34:43Speaker 1: see stars. AJ Styles is a star the Hardys are
- 34:46Speaker 1: the biggest stars in TNA right now, Barnunn, There is
- 34:53Speaker 1: no bigger star in TNA right now than Matt and
- 34:55Speaker 1: Jeff Hardy. So the fans got to see the Hardys
- 34:59Speaker 1: and they were very happy to see them, but they
- 35:01Speaker 1: didn't do a whole hell of a lot here in
- 35:03Speaker 1: this match, and they just were promoting a couple of
- 35:07Speaker 1: matches that are taking place on the pay per view
- 35:09Speaker 1: this Saturday. So we have a tag team title match,
- 35:11Speaker 1: and so the Reightus got the last word, they got
- 35:12Speaker 1: the last laugh here. Beyond that, not a whole lot
- 35:15Speaker 1: to say after this. Gam Miller was interviewing the TNA
- 35:21Speaker 1: World Heavyweight Champion Frankie Kazarian in the back about his
- 35:26Speaker 1: world title defense tonight against Mike Santana, but before he
- 35:29Speaker 1: could say anything, Aj Styles showed up and Aj kind
- 35:34Speaker 1: of got up in his face. Didn't say anything, he
- 35:37Speaker 1: was just staring at him, and Kazarian thought that Aj
- 35:41Speaker 1: should say thank you for the house, and AJ did,
- 35:47Speaker 1: but he was clearly staring at the TNA World Championship
- 35:51Speaker 1: on Kazarian's shoulder, and the fans in the arena even
- 35:55Speaker 1: reacted like ooh, and then Aj walked off. So again
- 36:01Speaker 1: they're promoting a match that I suppose they could do
- 36:04Speaker 1: the match at some point, but it ain't gonna be
- 36:06Speaker 1: for the championship now unless Kazarian wins the belt back,
- 36:09Speaker 1: which would be fucking stupid. We got a promo video
- 36:13Speaker 1: on the X Division featuring lots of faces who are
- 36:17Speaker 1: currently not TNA stars, AJ Styles, Samoa, Joe, Christopher Daniels,
- 36:22Speaker 1: Jerry Lynn. Then this is one of those segments that
- 36:29Speaker 1: just really it really made them feel just very bush league, honestly,
- 36:34Speaker 1: and that's not how you want your product to be viewed.
- 36:38Speaker 1: They go to ringside and they did the WWE thing
- 36:42Speaker 1: where we're gonna show the celebrities that are here because
- 36:46Speaker 1: this is the happening show. Everyone's talking and buzzing about TNA,
- 36:51Speaker 1: and they show Virgil or Tez Junior. It's a boxer,
- 36:56Speaker 1: he's in the front row. Then they show a bunch
- 36:59Speaker 1: of content creators they said, from around the world, and
- 37:02Speaker 1: I think it was mostly reactors, like YouTube reactors, and
- 37:06Speaker 1: they had them all lined up in the crowd, and
- 37:08Speaker 1: so they identified each one of them and they go
- 37:10Speaker 1: down the line. I saw con Men in there. Good
- 37:12Speaker 1: to see him, but they show, you know, they show
- 37:15Speaker 1: all of them. And when they do this, I don't
- 37:21Speaker 1: know who was responsible for setting this shot up, but
- 37:25Speaker 1: they show the content creators and behind them is just
- 37:29Speaker 1: a swath of empty seats, like it's just clear as day.
- 37:35Speaker 1: I don't know why they sat them there or positioned
- 37:37Speaker 1: them there. I don't know why they did that, but
- 37:43Speaker 1: it was just very, very visible. But again, this was
- 37:46Speaker 1: the way to show that the stars were out. So
- 37:48Speaker 1: like Eric Young was in the crowd, they showed AJ
- 37:50Speaker 1: Francis in the crowd, and they just kept telling us
- 37:53Speaker 1: all the stars are out, the stars are at you
- 37:55Speaker 1: see all the empty seats. The stars are out, right.
- 37:57Speaker 1: Then they show us the stars of the AM show
- 38:01Speaker 1: Dark Winds. They were shown in the crowd and don't
- 38:06Speaker 1: ask me. I have no fucking idea. Apparently I asked
- 38:10Speaker 1: the question a few weeks ago. I said, I used
- 38:12Speaker 1: to watch all of these big shows on AMC, Walking Dead, Breaking,
- 38:16Speaker 1: Bad Better Call Saul. I know that at one. I
- 38:20Speaker 1: mean there have been other shows, obviously not Rescue Me.
- 38:24Speaker 1: Rescue Me was FX, Sons of Anarchy and mad Men
- 38:28Speaker 1: is going back Aways. I don't know what like the
- 38:31Speaker 1: current really big show like what's the big popular show
- 38:34Speaker 1: right it's certainly not Impact. What is the big popular
- 38:37Speaker 1: show right now on AMC? Is it Dark Winds or
- 38:40Speaker 1: is this like a new show that they're debuting. I
- 38:43Speaker 1: don't know. So what the show is about, who's on it?
- 38:48Speaker 1: I couldn't tell you don't ask me. So then next
- 38:51Speaker 1: to them, next to the stars of Dark Winds Sons
- 38:56Speaker 1: of Anarchy was FX. Okay, so maybe AMC didn't have
- 38:59Speaker 1: as many great shows as I thought. I just named
- 39:02Speaker 1: a couple of FX shows now. But mad Men was AMC, right,
- 39:06Speaker 1: I know that was a while ago though. Anyway. The
- 39:12Speaker 1: only thing I, honestly, outside of watching this Impact show tonight,
- 39:16Speaker 1: the only time these days that I put AMC on
- 39:18Speaker 1: is in October when they have their Fearfest. It's like
- 39:22Speaker 1: the thirty Days of Halloween and they show all kinds
- 39:25Speaker 1: of horror movies and Halloween movies. I try to watch
- 39:27Speaker 1: as many of that, or at least have them on
- 39:29Speaker 1: in the background. That's the only time I ever put
- 39:31Speaker 1: on AMC. I don't know from any of these other shows,
- 39:36Speaker 1: but we weren't done with the appearances because next to
- 39:38Speaker 1: the stars of this AMC show, they had Mara Shahday, right,
- 39:43Speaker 1: who used to be in NXT and she used to
- 39:45Speaker 1: be partnered up with the Lash legend Jakara Jackson, so
- 39:49Speaker 1: she's a member of the TNA roster. They showed her
- 39:51Speaker 1: in the crowd and then next to Mars shah Day
- 39:55Speaker 1: and I have no idea why, but they showed Candice
- 39:59Speaker 1: Miss who never wrestled for TNA. She wrestled for WWE
- 40:06Speaker 1: and that was like a lifetime ago. I don't even
- 40:09Speaker 1: know if she's made any WWE appearances in recent years,
- 40:13Speaker 1: but for whatever reason, she was there. Maybe she's local.
- 40:15Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know where she's living these days.
- 40:17Speaker 1: But it's like, Okay, she wasn't part of the Knockouts division,
- 40:21Speaker 1: but hey, there's fucking Candace Michelle. I mean they may
- 40:25Speaker 1: as well she's I mean they may as well show
- 40:27Speaker 1: fucking Wendy Richter in the crowd too. I mean that
- 40:29Speaker 1: would make about as much sense. So then Ryan Nemeth
- 40:33Speaker 1: shows up at ringside. They're gonna do a bit. He
- 40:37Speaker 1: shows up at ringside to confront the stars, and he
- 40:41Speaker 1: attempts to climb over the barricade, but in doing so,
- 40:46Speaker 1: he crotches himself because he's an idiot, I guess, and
- 40:50Speaker 1: he crotches himself on the barricade and then he got
- 40:54Speaker 1: chopped to the floor by one of the stars of
- 40:57Speaker 1: Dark Winds who I looked it up. He's about sixty
- 41:01Speaker 1: years old. He looked eighty, but he chopped Ryan Nemmuz
- 41:06Speaker 1: to the floor. This was an unbelievable segment. And just
- 41:09Speaker 1: think we still haven't seen Perez Hilton yet. So after this,
- 41:16Speaker 1: Santino Morella came to the ring for a promo. He
- 41:21Speaker 1: is the TNA Director of Authority and talked about not
- 41:25Speaker 1: being able to get over his daughter Ariana Grace betraying him,
- 41:30Speaker 1: turning her back on him just recently because she's a heel.
- 41:35Speaker 1: Now she's all paired up with Stax, Lorenzo and NXT
- 41:39Speaker 1: and they are a real life couple. So the TNA
- 41:42Speaker 1: board has decided that Santino needs some help. Well, Santino
- 41:47Speaker 1: needs help. If I'm the TNA board and I watched
- 41:51Speaker 1: this show tonight, I'm having I'm convening an emergency meeting,
- 41:55Speaker 1: I think there's quite a bit of help that is needed.
- 41:58Speaker 1: So they decided Santina needs help, and he said he
- 42:01Speaker 1: was hesitant at first, but then he was relieved once
- 42:05Speaker 1: he found out who this person was that they were
- 42:07Speaker 1: bringing in to help him. And so then he introduced
- 42:10Speaker 1: this person. He said, this person is very professional and
- 42:13Speaker 1: has a lot of experience. And this person turned out
- 42:17Speaker 1: to be the former Sonya Deville, who is now going
- 42:21Speaker 1: by the name Daria Ray. Daria's her real name, but
- 42:25Speaker 1: Daria ray r Ae like Summer Ray. She is now
- 42:31Speaker 1: the newest addition to the TNA roster. She came out
- 42:35Speaker 1: and she joined Santino in the ring and he welcomed
- 42:38Speaker 1: her to TNA and she congratulated him and called Santino
- 42:42Speaker 1: one of the pillars? Really, is he one of the
- 42:47Speaker 1: pillars of TNA? Okay, I mean, we've heard about the
- 42:53Speaker 1: AW pillars before. I've never really thought of Santino as
- 42:57Speaker 1: a pillar of AW or a TNA ray, But okay,
- 43:02Speaker 1: I'll go with it. But she's really like talking him
- 43:06Speaker 1: up here, and she said that he deals with the good,
- 43:08Speaker 1: the bad, and the ugly, yet manages to keep smiles
- 43:11Speaker 1: on everyone's faces, including hers. She was really laying it
- 43:15Speaker 1: on thick here. Then the switch got flipped and she said,
- 43:19Speaker 1: one thing this company does not need is you. She said,
- 43:24Speaker 1: they don't need his stupid jokes and his comedy relief.
- 43:27Speaker 1: And she said that he can't even keep his own
- 43:29Speaker 1: family in order, and his own daughter doesn't even respect him.
- 43:33Speaker 1: So Santino tried to speak, and she told him to
- 43:36Speaker 1: shut up. So Daria said that she's run locker rooms before,
- 43:40Speaker 1: she understands television. She said that she can do the
- 43:43Speaker 1: job better than him. My name is Daria Ray and
- 43:46Speaker 1: I'm the suit. So you shut up when I'm talking.
- 43:51Speaker 1: So she teased leaving the ring, and she said, oh,
- 43:53Speaker 1: I almost forgot to mention. I signed my first order
- 43:58Speaker 1: of business here, signed the newest addition to the Knockouts Division,
- 44:04Speaker 1: and allow me to introduce you. And outcomes Elena Black,
- 44:08Speaker 1: the former corri je aide from NXT. She walked out
- 44:13Speaker 1: onto the stage and she did a little pose and
- 44:15Speaker 1: that was it. She didn't come to the ring. She
- 44:17Speaker 1: didn't say anything, she didn't do anything. First, let me
- 44:20Speaker 1: just say this, I thought that when Sonya Deville was
- 44:24Speaker 1: the assistant to Adam Pierce right on SmackDown, she did good.
- 44:29Speaker 1: I thought that was a good position for her. And
- 44:32Speaker 1: I thought that she did well in the authority figure role,
- 44:34Speaker 1: the heel authority figure role, They even did that angle
- 44:37Speaker 1: with her and Naomi there for a while which kind
- 44:39Speaker 1: of went on forever. So I feel like this is
- 44:41Speaker 1: a good spot for her to be in. I don't
- 44:44Speaker 1: hate her being kind of the end to the yang
- 44:46Speaker 1: that you know. Santino is the babyface authority figure. Now
- 44:49Speaker 1: there's a heel authority figure. I mean, the whole authority
- 44:52Speaker 1: figure thing is especially heel authority figure. It's a played
- 44:56Speaker 1: out trope anyway, but I think it's a good role
- 44:58Speaker 1: for her to be in. As far as Core Jade,
- 45:03Speaker 1: she has not wrestled at all since WWE released her,
- 45:08Speaker 1: so I don't know what to expect there. I did
- 45:11Speaker 1: see there was footage just today actually on social media.
- 45:15Speaker 1: It's video. I don't know where it's from, maybe they're
- 45:17Speaker 1: IG or whatever, but I saw there was a match
- 45:21Speaker 1: that she had somewhere like a mock match with Mandy Rose.
- 45:25Speaker 1: They were hitting the ropes and they were doing some
- 45:27Speaker 1: moves together. I wouldn't be surprised if Mandy Rose eventually
- 45:31Speaker 1: ends up in the Knockouts division in this company too.
- 45:34Speaker 1: She doesn't need to, though, I don't know if they
- 45:35Speaker 1: could afford her. Like She's been very open before about
- 45:38Speaker 1: the money that she's made from only fames. She's a
- 45:40Speaker 1: millionaire now, Like whatever TNA would pay her, she will
- 45:45Speaker 1: make far more money just doing her own things. She
- 45:47Speaker 1: doesn't have to work for TNA, So she would really
- 45:50Speaker 1: have to want to come back to wrestle, and even
- 45:52Speaker 1: then I'm not sure if they could afford her. But
- 45:54Speaker 1: if she was going to come back, I could see
- 45:56Speaker 1: her ending up in the Knockouts division. So we go
- 46:01Speaker 1: backstage and this was the final appearance of the night
- 46:04Speaker 1: for AJ. Styles his third appearance, second time here in
- 46:08Speaker 1: a backstage segment, and he confronts Mike Santana, who's sitting
- 46:13Speaker 1: down in a chair, and the Style says, I've known
- 46:16Speaker 1: Frankie Kazarian for twenty years and I never thought I
- 46:20Speaker 1: would say it, but I hope that you kick his ass.
- 46:24Speaker 1: Styles said that he helped He helped the company as
- 46:26Speaker 1: long as he could, and now it's Santana's turn. Mind you,
- 46:31Speaker 1: AJ left the company over a decade ago. It's almost
- 46:34Speaker 1: like he's like passing the torch. Dude, you've been gone
- 46:37Speaker 1: for like how long has he been gone for? Like
- 46:38Speaker 1: twelve years? Thirteen years? So he teld Santana do what
- 46:44Speaker 1: he does best by going out there and win, and
- 46:46Speaker 1: Santana stood up, he removed his shades, he thanked AJ
- 46:49Speaker 1: and they slapped hands. So he got the endorsement here
- 46:52Speaker 1: from AJ Styles and that was the last we saw
- 46:56Speaker 1: of AJ. Thanks for coming. He was in Germany on Monday.
- 47:00Speaker 1: He flew all the way to Texas to do a
- 47:02Speaker 1: whole lot of nothing here on this show, and then
- 47:05Speaker 1: he'll be off to wherever raw is this coming Monday. Well,
- 47:07Speaker 1: I guess they're gonna be in Ireland, right, They'll be
- 47:09Speaker 1: in Belfast, so that's where AJ will be. So then
- 47:14Speaker 1: they showed the actors again of this fucking Dark Winds show,
- 47:19Speaker 1: sitting in the frest like they're contractually obligated to do this.
- 47:23Speaker 1: They show these guys in the front row again. I
- 47:25Speaker 1: almost want to watch this show now just to find
- 47:26Speaker 1: out what the fuck it's about. We'll do a whole
- 47:29Speaker 1: Dark Winds review. And Tom Hannafin on commentary thanked them
- 47:35Speaker 1: for being there like they were doing them a favor.
- 47:38Speaker 1: They really want you to know the stars of Dark
- 47:41Speaker 1: Winds or in attendance tonight. Then we had the inspiration
- 47:46Speaker 1: against the Elegance brand. This was for the knockouts. Tag
- 47:51Speaker 1: team titles. This was not the big Marque knockouts match
- 47:54Speaker 1: that I would have tried to do for my first
- 47:56Speaker 1: AMC show, but this is the match that we got.
- 48:00Speaker 1: Before the match, we had the concierge, the guy that
- 48:06Speaker 1: was typically with Ashby Elegance and all of them. She's
- 48:09Speaker 1: obviously retired now, but the concierge was there with the
- 48:12Speaker 1: Elegance brand in the ring and with them in the
- 48:15Speaker 1: ring Perez Hilton, So now we get to find out
- 48:21Speaker 1: what his role is going to be here on this show.
- 48:24Speaker 1: Hilton and the concierge, they insulted the crowds he's here
- 48:27Speaker 1: to be a heel, which he is. Someone was in
- 48:32Speaker 1: the ring with them though, hiding under some white feathers,
- 48:37Speaker 1: and I'm looking at this and I'm like, is the
- 48:39Speaker 1: gobbledee goooker? Like? Who is this? What is this reveal
- 48:43Speaker 1: going to be? This could be one of the big
- 48:45Speaker 1: surprises that they have saved for the show here. So
- 48:48Speaker 1: the person underneath the feathers reveals himself to be mister Elegance,
- 48:55Speaker 1: which you know, was a name that I was given
- 48:58Speaker 1: in college. But if he wants to use that's fine.
- 49:01Speaker 1: I didn't copyright it. It's mister Elegance, and I have
- 49:04Speaker 1: no fucking idea who this person is. Young guy, pretty
- 49:09Speaker 1: good shape, you know, not like big or anything, got
- 49:13Speaker 1: long blonde hair. Probably some indie worker. I've never seen
- 49:16Speaker 1: him before in my life, but he's mister Elegance. So
- 49:20Speaker 1: the Elegance brand women, they had the letters AMC on
- 49:25Speaker 1: their trunks and they turned to the camera. They basically
- 49:28Speaker 1: had the letters AMC on their asses and showed it
- 49:32Speaker 1: to the camera. This was horrible. This is what they
- 49:36Speaker 1: brought Perez Hilton in for. He didn't even take a
- 49:39Speaker 1: fucking bump. The least they could have done was have
- 49:41Speaker 1: aj Styles give him a styles clash, which I guess
- 49:45Speaker 1: would have been a little risky since he's not a
- 49:47Speaker 1: trained worker, but fuck you may as well do something
- 49:49Speaker 1: with him. Didn't even take a bump. I wonder how
- 49:53Speaker 1: much they paid him for this appearance. We're seeing talents
- 49:56Speaker 1: left and right being let go by TNA or choosing
- 49:59Speaker 1: to leave because obviously TNA is not willing to or
- 50:02Speaker 1: able to pay them what they feel their worth. But
- 50:04Speaker 1: they have the money to bring fucking Perez Hilton in
- 50:06Speaker 1: for this show. How many viewers do you think he
- 50:08Speaker 1: brought in for this show. Do you think he brought
- 50:10Speaker 1: in a single viewer for this show. I don't think
- 50:14Speaker 1: he brought in a single viewer that is going to
- 50:16Speaker 1: stick around and watch TNA for another week. So the
- 50:23Speaker 1: inspiration thankfully interrupted this horribleness. Champions rushed the ring, they
- 50:28Speaker 1: knocked the Elegance Brand out of the ring, and they
- 50:30Speaker 1: immediately went to a break. You know, for a show
- 50:34Speaker 1: called total NonStop action, we had very little of it
- 50:37Speaker 1: here on this show. This is where it really hit
- 50:39Speaker 1: me as we went to a commercial break here in
- 50:42Speaker 1: the middle of all this. It's like, it's not how
- 50:45Speaker 1: you convert new viewers. Imagine people like have never heard
- 50:49Speaker 1: of TNA or they're not wrestling fans, but they watch
- 50:52Speaker 1: AMC and they say, oh, Total NonStop Action Wrestling is
- 50:57Speaker 1: going to be debuting. I have to watch this. This
- 51:00Speaker 1: sounds like it could be fun. And then up to
- 51:03Speaker 1: this point, I don't know how long into the show
- 51:05Speaker 1: we were, maybe an hour like horrific horrific, The Elegance
- 51:14Speaker 1: Brand worked over. Cassie m went for a moon salt.
- 51:19Speaker 1: Cassie though, got her knees up. M by Elegance that
- 51:22Speaker 1: is Jesse McKay she got the hot tag. She was
- 51:26Speaker 1: stalking the concierge outside the ring for a little bit.
- 51:29Speaker 1: McKay and Lee they hit a double suplex on m
- 51:33Speaker 1: and then mister Elegance distracted the referee. The Inspiration went
- 51:37Speaker 1: for their finish. The referee got distracted again, mister Elegance
- 51:41Speaker 1: clipped Lee in the knee and that allowed m By
- 51:45Speaker 1: Elegance to roll up Lee for the win. This was
- 51:49Speaker 1: a fucking mess, is what this was. But the Elegance
- 51:53Speaker 1: brand regain the Knockouts Tag Team Championships and according to
- 51:59Speaker 1: Sean Ross, the Inspiration are gone from TNA. They are
- 52:05Speaker 1: now free agents. This was their last night. They were
- 52:08Speaker 1: doing the honors on their way out, and so that
- 52:11Speaker 1: is why we had a title change here. Even more
- 52:14Speaker 1: free agents now coming out of TNAS. If we haven't
- 52:17Speaker 1: had a number of those recently, you could add them
- 52:20Speaker 1: to the list. And that's to say nothing by the
- 52:23Speaker 1: way of the fact that on this show next week
- 52:25Speaker 1: they are doing a feast or Fired match, which is
- 52:28Speaker 1: like an old school TNA gimmick. So someone is getting fired,
- 52:31Speaker 1: then maybe they get fired in storyline, or maybe they
- 52:34Speaker 1: get fired for real. We could have somebody else on
- 52:37Speaker 1: the way out next week depending on who ends up
- 52:39Speaker 1: in this feast or fired match. I don't think they
- 52:41Speaker 1: could afford to have anybody fired. We got a quick
- 52:46Speaker 1: promo in the back with Stacks and Ariana Grace where
- 52:54Speaker 1: they trashed Santino, and Grace said that Santino was wondering,
- 52:58Speaker 1: you know how all of these NXT stars have been
- 53:00Speaker 1: invading and getting into the door and making their way
- 53:04Speaker 1: into the buildings and everything. And she said, you know,
- 53:06Speaker 1: the answer was right under your nose this entire time.
- 53:09Speaker 1: It was me. It was me, Dad, And she said
- 53:12Speaker 1: management fixed Santino's problem by hiring someone who would do
- 53:16Speaker 1: a better job than he ever could. We go to
- 53:19Speaker 1: the back. Indie Heartwell said that she feels like she's
- 53:23Speaker 1: been in limbo ever since her dog Collar match. When
- 53:28Speaker 1: she was interrupted by the Elegance Brand. They were celebrating
- 53:31Speaker 1: their championship victory and they threatened to send Indy on
- 53:35Speaker 1: a plane back to Australia. Santina Morello was back out
- 53:42Speaker 1: to the ring again the second time now on the
- 53:46Speaker 1: show with him, and he brought out the reigning TNA
- 53:49Speaker 1: Knockouts champion Lee Ying Lee, who came out with Zia
- 53:53Speaker 1: Brookside Santino announced that and he had a contract with
- 53:57Speaker 1: him in his hand, and so Santino went to that
- 54:00Speaker 1: due to an international visa crisis, Danny Luna will not
- 54:05Speaker 1: be able to appear at Genesis this weekend. So instead,
- 54:09Speaker 1: Lee has signed an open contract because you see, she
- 54:12Speaker 1: is a fighting champion, so she has an open contract
- 54:14Speaker 1: to defend her championship at Genesis. And that brought out Soul,
- 54:19Speaker 1: Ruka and Zaria from NXT and they make their way
- 54:25Speaker 1: down to the ring and Soul Rucas says that, you know,
- 54:29Speaker 1: we were here in town just to scout for a
- 54:32Speaker 1: potential shot at the Knockouts tag team titles. But she
- 54:36Speaker 1: suggested that, you know, I think Zaria ought to answer
- 54:40Speaker 1: the open challenge. And Zaria was caught off guard by this.
- 54:45Speaker 1: You know, she obviously meant a lot to her that
- 54:47Speaker 1: Seul felt that way that she should be the one
- 54:49Speaker 1: to accept this open challenge. Soul said that to no
- 54:53Speaker 1: one is more deserving than Zaria, who then signed the
- 54:56Speaker 1: contract on Santino's back. So we now have a knockout
- 55:00Speaker 1: title match for Genesis. It will be Zaria challenging Lee,
- 55:04Speaker 1: ying Lee for the championship. And you know what, I
- 55:06Speaker 1: could see Zaria winning that title. I don't know if
- 55:09Speaker 1: she will or not, but just because she does a
- 55:11Speaker 1: work for TNA means nothing. They could very easily move
- 55:17Speaker 1: that title onto her this weekend. Earlier in the day,
- 55:22Speaker 1: we had another segment here with Santina Morella three. He
- 55:26Speaker 1: got as many segments on this show as AJ Styles did.
- 55:30Speaker 1: Actually he did more than AJ Styles did. In this segment,
- 55:33Speaker 1: he confronted Cedric Alexander. This was earlier in the day
- 55:36Speaker 1: in the empty venue here, and he informed Cedric that
- 55:42Speaker 1: who was supposed to be challenging for the X Division
- 55:44Speaker 1: Championship at Genesis in a three way along with Moose,
- 55:48Speaker 1: And he had the unfortunate news that because of this
- 55:51Speaker 1: these visa problems, which are a very real thing, Leon
- 55:55Speaker 1: Slater will not be at Genesis, which means that Leon
- 55:58Speaker 1: Slater will not be able to defend his EX Division
- 56:01Speaker 1: championship at Genesis. However, he does have a replacement, it
- 56:07Speaker 1: will not be a title match. He'll have to get
- 56:08Speaker 1: his title shots some other time. However, it will be
- 56:10Speaker 1: Cedric Alexander, it will be Moose, and it will be
- 56:14Speaker 1: and he wouldn't send the man's name because you're not
- 56:16Speaker 1: supposed to say his name, and Alexander was like, who
- 56:19Speaker 1: are you talking about? And he ended up we ended
- 56:23Speaker 1: up hearing Joe Hendry's theme playing on Cedric's phone. He
- 56:26Speaker 1: pulled his phone out and there was the fucking tron
- 56:29Speaker 1: on his phone with the music for Joe Hendry. So
- 56:31Speaker 1: Joe Hendry, who was already announced I think as making
- 56:34Speaker 1: an appearance at Genesis, is going to be wrestling in
- 56:36Speaker 1: this three way match. What condition? What state would TNA
- 56:41Speaker 1: be in now if they were not able to use
- 56:44Speaker 1: this talent from NXT, Like if NXT did not have
- 56:48Speaker 1: access to these TNA talents, like they'd be fine. And
- 56:53Speaker 1: I like the fact that the two companies are able
- 56:56Speaker 1: to work together, but like, if TNA did not have
- 56:58Speaker 1: access to WWE talent, like, imagine the shape they would
- 57:02Speaker 1: be in right now. It's kind of sad, right Like,
- 57:05Speaker 1: look at the show tonight, did be no aj Styles, Soul,
- 57:08Speaker 1: rukn Zaria would not have been there. Zaria would not
- 57:11Speaker 1: be you know, replacing Danny Luna this weekend to challenge
- 57:16Speaker 1: for the Knockouts Championship and some of these other names
- 57:20Speaker 1: as well. It's kind of scary. The system walked out
- 57:28Speaker 1: on stage I said the system. That's right. We had
- 57:32Speaker 1: Eddie Edwards, Alicia Edwards, Brian Myers, Moose and JDC, the
- 57:36Speaker 1: former Fondango who is going to be retiring imminently, gonna
- 57:41Speaker 1: be wrestling his last match. So the crowd gave Eddie
- 57:45Speaker 1: Edwards the what treatment and he was talking about his
- 57:50Speaker 1: match with JDC, who grabbed the microphone and got the
- 57:53Speaker 1: crowd to cut it out. He basically had to be like,
- 57:56Speaker 1: all right, guys, knock it off, and he thanked the
- 57:59Speaker 1: fans for allowing him to finish his career in TNA.
- 58:02Speaker 1: He said that the locker room is the best locker
- 58:05Speaker 1: room he's ever been a part of, and the fans
- 58:07Speaker 1: here in Dallas, you guys are the best fans. He
- 58:10Speaker 1: said Saturday will be his final match and it will
- 58:13Speaker 1: be against his friend of roughly twenty five years. And
- 58:17Speaker 1: he said that he would be in the ring next
- 58:18Speaker 1: week as a retired wrestler to announce the name of
- 58:21Speaker 1: the newest member replacing him in the system. And JDC
- 58:26Speaker 1: told Eddie that look, I love you like a brother,
- 58:28Speaker 1: but I'm not going out like a punk. He said,
- 58:32Speaker 1: either you pull the trigger, Eddie, or I will. After this,
- 58:38Speaker 1: we had TNA president Carlos Silva. He loves the camera.
- 58:43Speaker 1: Every TNA show that I watch. I watched like three
- 58:47Speaker 1: pay per views last year, and I watched this show.
- 58:50Speaker 1: Every show that I've watched, he's on camera. He's always there.
- 58:56Speaker 1: So he made an appearance here. He came out on
- 58:58Speaker 1: stage before the main event to announce one last surprise.
- 59:04Speaker 1: And I'm sure you got people watching the show right
- 59:06Speaker 1: now thinking, oh, man, the president of the company, right
- 59:10Speaker 1: before the main event has walked out here he's promising
- 59:12Speaker 1: he's got one last surprise. Oh my god, is it
- 59:15Speaker 1: going to be Jericho? Is it gonna be ec three?
- 59:18Speaker 1: Is who's it gonna be? Like? Oh my god. Of
- 59:22Speaker 1: course I wouldn't be terribly excited about any of those names.
- 59:25Speaker 1: But no, no, no, the surprise was Dixie Carter. And she
- 59:32Speaker 1: comes out and she gets booed by the fans here
- 59:37Speaker 1: in Texas. She's just the Nashville girl, but these fans
- 59:42Speaker 1: were mean to her. They booed this woman because they remember,
- 59:47Speaker 1: they remembered the Dixie Day, the delusional Dixie days. Oh
- 59:50Speaker 1: what a time period that was. You got to go
- 59:54Speaker 1: back in the archives and check out some of those
- 59:55Speaker 1: impact reviews. From back in the day. Yes, the former
- 59:58Speaker 1: TNA president introduced by the current DNA president, and honestly,
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: to be fair to her, Dixie looks more or less
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: the same. She still looks good. But yes, this was
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: not well received here by the crowd. So she said
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: a few words and the boo. After the as the
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: boobirds were doing their thing, Bully Ray came out because
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: Bully Ray was announced as doing commentary for the main event.
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: So they play his music and outwalks Bully Ray. He
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: shakes hands with Carlos Silva and he turns around and
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: he just stares at Dixie because there's some history there,
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: and Dixie grabs at her lower back because the last
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: time that we saw these two in the ring together
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: was when Bully put Dixie through a table, which I
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: have to say was actually a very well built up angle.
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: They built up the anticipation for that. It was like
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: when Vince took his first stunner from Austin in ninety seven.
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: You knew it was coming. He knew it was coming
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: because he had already stunned Jim Ross and he had
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: stunned Jerry Lawler. There was only one member of the
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: announced team left to stun right, and it was really
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: building to that moment. Not that I'm putting this on
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: the same level as that, but like it was a
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: well built angle, and I think they actually did a
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: good number for it. And as I recall, I think
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: Dixie did break a bone in her back actually taking
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: that table bump through the table. But after a while,
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: Bully cracks a smile. It's all good. He walks up
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: to her, they hug, all is forgiven. He went to
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: the ring, and that was the last that we saw
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: of Dixie, possibly forever. And then it was main event
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: time with Mike Santana challenging Frankie Kazarian for the TNA
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: World Heavyweight Championship that Santana lost his very first night
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: that he defended it back in November. So the bell
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: sound that it was ten forty two pm. There was
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: no overrun tonight, by the way, in case you were wondering,
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: at least by my clock eleven o'clock and they were
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: off the air, so that's how much time we had
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: left in the show. Kazarian went for a chicken wing.
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: Santana escaped the move, not an actual chicken wing. I
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: am very hungry right now. But Santana escaped. He tried
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: for his spin the block lariat, Kazari inducted it, and
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: Santana hit Kazarian with a step up Rana. Kazarian dropped
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: to the floor to try to regroup, and Santana caught
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: him with a crossbody on the floor and then Kazari
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: induct a move that Santana went for, and he dropped
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: him on the floor with an overhead belly to belly
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: and that took us into the commercial. Not nearly as
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: stupid as the overhead belly to belly that Darby Allen
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: took into the Steel Steps on Dynamite last night. That
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: was fucking stupid, and I love I heard from like
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: four or five different people today very upset that I
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: criticized that spot. I know, fuck me for seeing a dumb,
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: dipshit spot like that and actually reacting to it like
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: a human being instead of a bot. I know, fuck me.
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: So later on, Santana went for his rolling stunner. Kazarian, though,
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: countered with a backstabber to the back of the neck,
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: caught him really high up back there. Kazarian slapped Santana
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: around a little bit, but that just fired him up.
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: And Santana fired back with some fists and some chops,
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: and even after absorbing a boot from Kazarian, Santana did
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: finally land the rolling buck fifty for a near fall.
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: He set Kazarian up for a superplex and the champion
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: shoved him down, but he popped up and took He
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: took Kazarian. He popped up, popped the cork. He popped up,
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: and he took Kazarian down with an avalanche Spanish fly.
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: Santana thencountered a pile driver attempt with a Code RED
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: for a near fall. They gave it. I know they
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: gave a shout out here to the Amazing Red. I
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: don't know if it was on that spot. It might
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: have been earlier, earlier on when they were talking about
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: the X division. But you talk about notable names in
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: the history of this company and people who innovated and
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: were exciting and fun to watch and have been, you know,
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: mimicked and copied and influenced the generation of talent. Amazing
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: Red is certainly on that list. Solo Monster may as well,
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: Cared Darby certainly doesn't. Yeah, I know, stupid Solo caring
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: about the Red. I know if I fucked me. I mean, shit,
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: I know, I know I should just you know, it's
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: not like I'm reviewing a wrestling show and giving my opinions,
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: so I should just sit here and chant a dub.
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: A dub says a lot about the wrestling a section
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: of the wrestling fan base, by the way. So Santana
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: went for his charging cannonball in the corner because Arian
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: got the knees up, and then he hit an Angel's
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: wings for a near fall. Kazarian went for the chicken wings.
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: Santana did the Brett Hart pin spot from WrestleMania eight,
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: got a near fall out of it. Kazarian hit a
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: slingshot cutter and a springboard leg dropped for a near
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: fall of his own, And it was at this point
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: in the match here that it was like, all right now,
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: it feels like we're finally getting some real action on
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: the show. Right. The match is really starting to heat up,
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: fans are into it, and this is really starting to
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: get good here, which was really necessary because up until
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: this point we had nothing like this on the show.
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: We did not have a damn thing on the show
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: like this, so this was welcome. Kazarian dropped to the
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: floor and he grabbed his championship belt and the referee
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: stopped him from using it. Santana went for his Spin
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: the Block lariat. Kauzarian, though, turned that into a fade
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: to black attempt the Hangman page of Dead Eye. Santana
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: got into something with the referee. Kazarian went for a
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: drop kick and he hit the referee by accident, so
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: we got a ref bump. It wouldn't be a TNA
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: main event for the World Championship without a ref bump, now,
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: would it right? You talk about old school, that's old
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: school TNA right there. The only thing missing from this
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: show is old slap nuts. So the Spin the Block
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: finally connects, and of course the referee is now so
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: Santana goes to check on him. Kazarian grabs the belt
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: and he blasts Santana in the head with it. Kazarian
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: then hit the fade to black on the ring apron.
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: He rolls Santana back into the ring and he covers
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: him and the referee is his back. He counts only
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: for two, so Kazarian hits a Canadian destroyer. Santana, though,
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: pops right up and he hits Spin the Block, covers
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: him and he got the three. The only thing is
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: the referee was not supposed to count three, but he
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: very clearly did. You could even hear his hands smack
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: the mat. Kazarian did get the shoulder up, though. The
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: referee just fucked up, and the crowd let him know
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: that he fucked up, as wrestling fans are known to do.
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: Santana went for it again. Kazarian kind of now, this
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: is where things kind of fell apart here. So Santana
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: went for it again, and Kazarian just kind of dropped down.
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: I don't know if he was I don't know if
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: the spot was that he was supposed to avoid it
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: and then do a roll up or I don't know
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: what the idea here was, but somehow Santana got a
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: near fall out of it. It didn't look good. Kazarian went
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: for a rolling larryat of his own. Santana, though, ducked
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: and hit a second spin the block, and he got
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: the pin to regain the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. Honestly,
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: that they really should have just ended it after the
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: first spin the block instead of having him kick out
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: whatever it was they tried to do there at the end.
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: It just didn't work, So it kind of took the
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: It kind of took the wind out of their sails
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: a bit, but this was still easily, easily, without question,
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: the best thing on the entire show. There was no
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: Nick Nemath calling his shot like I think he was
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: supposed to. Fucking Ryan Nemth was on the show, but
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: not Nick Nemeth, which is a questionable thing to not
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: even have him on the show unless there was some
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: reason he couldn't be there, because you want to have
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: stars and people that you know the fans would recognize
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: on this show. AJ Stiles was there, the Hardys were there.
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: You would think they would want somebody like Nick Nemeth
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: on the show, and he just wasn't there. So I
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: was a little curious not having him there. That they
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: did say Kazarian is going to get a rematch of
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: Genesis on Saturday, so we know we're just gonna put
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: these two guys back in the ring for the championship.
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: I presume that they're saving the angle with Nemath for
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: that show. He'll either call his shot after the main
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: event or maybe beforehand and turn it into a triple
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: threat match. If he's not on the pay per view
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: then I would be very confused by all this. And
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: they actually just announced that he just re signed with TNA,
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: so like he's not leaving, he's not going anywhere, So
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: I assume we'll see him on Saturday. And I don't
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: know if this is something the TNA started a while ago.
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: Anybody who watches the show, you know, week to week,
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: can fill me in here. But I did notice they
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: have the same producer credits now at the end of
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: the show that WWE has, like they just copied it
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: right out of the WWE playbook and they have like
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: the executive producer, the producers Tommy Dreamer and you know,
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: Hunter Johnston and whatever. The other names were so very
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: much following the WWE formula. They had a good match, Yeah,
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: they had a good match here in the main event.
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: Despite what happened there at the end, it was not
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: enough to save this show. It was not enough to
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: redeem this show. I understand that they were short a
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: few people like Leon Slater and a Leon Slater match. Yeah,
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: you put like a ten or twelve minute Leon Slater
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: match on this show that definitely would have made a difference.
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: So I understand that they were without some people they
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: originally intended to have on this show. With the visa issues,
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: that had to rewrite some stuff. But this first show
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: I just felt like was a misfire. And I know
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: it's their first and I hope they find their foot
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: for their sake, I want to see them do well
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: and I want to see them thrive on AMC and
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: I want to see them find their footing as the
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: weeks go on. Maybe they will. But as a first
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: effort to really get people excited for this new era
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: of TNA and to really real people and not even
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: just new fans, but just wrestling fans, like hardcore TNA
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: fans are going to watch. Hardcore TNA fans are going
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: to probably think, by and large, this show is great,
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: and then some of them may be honest and say
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: that this was not the best show. But like wrestling fans,
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: newer fans like this is. You get one opportunity sometimes
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: to make a really great first impression and give people
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: a reason to invest two hours of their time every
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: Thursday night to watch your show. And I thought they
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: missed the mark tonight. I think they failed in doing that.
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: The next few weeks will prove me right, or prove
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: me wrong. I guess when the numbers come in, we'll
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: see how they do. But I did not think this
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: was a good show. And this will be the last
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: Impact review for some time here on this channel. But
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: I wanted to cover the first show because I thought
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: the first show would be a big show and maybe
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: there would be some big things going on or surprises.
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: We got a world title change in the main event,
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: but outside of that, nothing terribly exciting to speak of.
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: This is what the the twitter? Well, no, this is
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: the raw poll. Hold on a second. Here, there is
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: a poll that I put up. I got it right here.
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: I'm going to put it in for you in real time.
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: Are you ready for this? You're gonna see there was
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: sults here pop up for the TNA pole. Look at that.
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: I botched it like the referee did in the main event.
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: What did you think of the TNA Impact on AMC debut?
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: There we go. That's more in line with what I expected.
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: Twenty two percent thumbs up for tonight's show. This obviously,
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: this is just one pole on X but still that's
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: almost a thousand people right here so far that have voted,
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: and there's a message here. Twenty two percent thumbs up
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: seventy eight percent thumbs down for tonight's show. Not good,
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: not good. I hope they find their footing because this
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: is what they need. They need to, you know, have
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: a wider audience to appeal to, which they never were
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: going to have on Access TV. That's why I always said,
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: as long as they're on Access ever gonna grow. So
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: now they're on AMC, you know, and you want them
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: to thrive, you want them to make the most of it.
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: They didn't do that tonight. The live impacts always fall flat,
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: so the shows have to be taped so all the
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: awful stuff can be edited out. Is that what you're saying,
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: So they get edited in post. It's not the it's
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: not the flex you may think it is. But thank
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: you to the nine hundred of you hanging out with
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: me here on a Thursday night. It's more than we
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: had for a fucking Dynamite last night. Maybe I just
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: started doing Impact reviews on Thursdays and ditching the Dynamite
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: reviews on Wednesdays. Anyway. Joseph Stewart Joseph Stewart is always
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: with us. It doesn't matter what day of the week
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: it is. This is a happy Thursday to run through
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: these and get to the rest of your questions here.
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: And by the way, we did hit the goal. The
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: goal was four hundred likes. We are currently sitting at
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: four fifteen, so we got to be the booker coming
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: your way. Did I watch the Waynes Brothers TV show?
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: I think I did. I vaguely remember. Raven's documentary Nevermore
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: is now available on Prime. Yes, if you are interested
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: in Raven's new documentary, it is available. I haven't gotten
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: too much feedback on it, but it looks kind of interesting.
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: Would you have made Raven WCW Champion if you were
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: booking WCW in the late nineties? No World Champion? No,
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: it says. Yesterday was the thirty fourth anniversary of Michael
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: Jackson's song Remember the time when it was released? Are
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: you a fan of Undertaker and Michelle mccool's podcast. Oh
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: you mean Michelle mccool's podcast featuring the Undertaker? No? Who
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: do you think was the face of WWE in nineteen
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: ninety five, Diesel Kevin Esh That was the guy that
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: Vince McMahon tried to build the company around. He was
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: the face of the company for that year and it
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: was not a terribly great year for the company. Perhaps
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: there's a message in there. What was your reaction when
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: Ahmed Johnson debuted in WWE. I thought, man, this guy's intense.
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: It's always screaming. I mean, he looked impressive. Then the
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: bell rang and he actually had some good matches, but
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: kind of fell off a cliff after that. I remember, man,
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: I remember the night he won the intercontinental title of
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: the King of the Ring in ninety six, he had
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: a match with gold Dust, and right when the bell rang,
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: like right at the beginning of the match, Golddust is
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: outside the but he's he's like in the aisleway, so
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: it's not like he's on one side of the ring
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: or another. He's kind of like diagonal. And Ahmed just
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: he did like a Montes four dive where he charged
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: the corner and like dove over the corner, like over
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: the post, and he almost took a header into the
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: fucking ground. And this is a two hundred and sixty
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: five pound men. I thought he killed himself. He was reckless.
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: He hurt himself. He heard other people he was reckless.
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: That's why he didn't last. Were you a fan of
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: the Nation of Domination theme song? Yes, I enjoyed it
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: very much. I would pump my fist in the air
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: just like all of them. Were you a fan of
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: Ken Shamrock against Owen Hart in the lions Den match
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: at SummerSlam ninety eight? Was that Summer Slam? I'm thinking
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: of the Dune match they had. I actually enjoy the
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: Dungeon match more. But yeah, I like the Lions Then match.
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: Ahmed always had Wedgy, Yeah, he had some of that
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: static cling. Why did WWE never do another Lions Then match? Well,
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: because they didn't like him. Obviously they really liked him,
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: they would have kept him. It was more of a
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: Shamrock gimmick, so there really was no need to do it.
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: One Shamrock left. Then they had the Fight Pit many
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: years later. The Fight Pit is the closest thing to
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: the Lions Then match that they've done since then. Do
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: you remember the TV show Hill Street Blues. I do. Yeah,
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: I never watched it, but I am familiar with it.
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: Do you think both EDG and Christian will return to
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: WWE in the future, No, I do not. I mean eventually,
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: a Hall of Fame induction for Christian is something he deserves,
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: so he might get that. But I mean, as far
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: as they're in ring careers, they're going to finish their
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: careers in AW. I do believe was Eric Bischoff originally
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: going to be the leader of the Aces and Eights.
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: I never heard that. It's right Solo pumping his fist
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: to the nod theme, suns right this the man? Oh well,
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: bum Russia, mother, listen what I'm saying. It's for real,
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: not playing for Rooki is the man that you need
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: to stop praying. Uh. What was your reaction when Yoko
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: Zuna debuted? I was like, holy shit, that's a big boy.
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: I had the same reaction brock Lesner had when Keith
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: Lee came out in the Royal Rumble. It's like, whoa,
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: that's a big boy. What was your reaction when Kevin
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: Nash made his debut as Diesel? I don't remember. What
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: was your reaction when Scott Hall debuted is Razor Ramone.
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: I thought he was cool. He always just looked cool.
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: Or was your reaction when Mark Merrow and Sable debuted.
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: I was more interested in Sable than I was Mark Merrow.
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: And my reaction to Hunter hers Helmsley I said, who
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: is this jobb? Or? That was my reaction, I figured
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: he would be doing jobs for the rest of his career.
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: Was your reaction when China made her debut? I won't
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: say deaths ife ages ago, Cody expressed interest in another
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: match of Ramisterio, indicating he would like to finish their story.
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: How would you book it? And should Dom cost Ray
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: the match if it's for the WWE title. I wouldn't
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: book it. I don't think that's a match that's really
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: worth doing. Like, of all the matches and potential matches
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: that interest me, Cody Rhoades against Ray mysterio is not
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: one that has entered my mind. I'm sure it'd be
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: a good match, but you're putting the power in my hands.
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: I don't book it. Just watch the latest RSPW and
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: the Sena can't wrestle allegations never made sense to me.
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: How come AJ Styles had better matches with him than
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: any of his WrestleMania opponents. Yeah, so when I responded
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: to you on Twitter, I misread the question. So what
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: he was saying here? I thought when I read your
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: question that you were saying, well, how come he had
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: these great matches with AJ Styles? And I said, well,
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: because he's AJ Styles he's one of the best wrestlers
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: in the world for the last twenty years. But what
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: he means is how come AJ had better matches with
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: Sina than he did any of his wrestle media opponents.
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: And sometimes two guys in the ring they just, you know,
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: they just have a certain chemict where they just work
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: really well together. The two of them have a chemistry
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: that for example, John Cena and Randy Orton never had.
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: Sena has it with cmpunk. I think he had it
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: with Edge, and he definitely has it with AJ, maybe
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: more than any other opponent he's ever had. And because
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: when Seena is in there with somebody who is a
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: really good wrestler, really good worker. Not that he needed
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: Aj Styles in the ring to have a good match,
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: but he thrived right because he could adapt to their style.
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: So the AJ thing is just weird to me because
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: you could argue that of all the WrestleMania matches that
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: Styles has had, that the best one may have been
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: with Shane McMahon, which is kind of pathetic honestly that
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: it doesn't make any sense. I'd have to go back
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: and watch that match with Jericho. I don't remember too
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: much about it. Maybe the match with Jericha. I just
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: I don't remember that match like blowing me away. Maybe
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: if I go back and watch their WrestleMania match, I'll
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: be more impressed with it. Now, what was that WrestleMania
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: thirty two. But you know what, John Cena, look at
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: his WrestleMania catalog, he does not have a lot of
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: great WrestleMania matches. All of his best matches were on
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: other shows. Absolutely none of his best matches, in my opinion,
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: happened to WrestleMania, not one. All the best matches he
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: had with Edge, with Punk, with Styles, not WrestleMania matches.
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: It's just the way it goes sometimes. Can't explain it.
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: The match with Jericho fell flat. That sounds about right.
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: That's probably why I don't think about it when I
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: think about these great AJ Styles matches or WrestleMania death side.
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: Crazy to think that. We started off twenty twenty five
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: with the final appearance of Hulk Hogan being booed out
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: of the building, and we closed out twenty twenty five
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: with the final match of John Cena being boot out
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: of the building. Yeah, we started twenty twenty six with
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: Dixie Carter being booed out of the building. Who will
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: be boot out of the building in December? I wonder,
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: let's start taking bets who's gonna get booted out of
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: the building at the end of this year. John Cena
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: against Seawn Michaels WRESTLEMDIAM is the best wrestle medium match
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: that he's had. But I never I was never in
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: love with that match and the way that other people were.
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: I like their raw match much better, so you could
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: say that that would be the obvious answer, but like,
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: I was never really in love with that match the
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: way some other people were. Dried Ribs and Chickens says
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: as a confession, I love the Elegance brand, especially seeing
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: ash By Elegance on AMC. Well, there's always one in
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: the bunch, so you like the concierge and mister what's
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: his name, mister Elegance. Okay, I'm happy for you. Death's
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: Site says, I know Gunther has already been Intercontinental and
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: World Heavyweight Champion, can you also see him being the
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: US Champion and WWE Champion and main eventing WrestleMania Night
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: two in the future. I don't really see the need
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: for him to be the United States Champion, WWE Champion. Yes,
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: I could see that headlining WrestleMania Night two. I don't
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: see that either. He absolutely could. I wouldn't be afraid
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: to book him there, but probably not. I think they
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: have that spot reserved for other people. The Hoffman says,
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: sena does indeed mean dinner in Spanish, but it's pronounced senna. Yeah,
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: that was something that came up on the rspw rewind
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: episode today. Maybe that's what threw me off. I'm like,
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: I don't remember sena meaning dinner in Spanish, but senna okay.
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: John says TNA equals total NonStop ads. It felt like
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: it didn't It very WWE like tonight, right down to
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: exactly when they took their breaks. Johnny Burnie says, as
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: an aw fan, tonight was when all you eat was
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: ice cream for so long, you try something and end
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: up eating lead paint. I'll gladly stick with ice cream.
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: Are you implying that we all got lead poisoning tonight?
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: The AJ Hernandez seventeen. I'm worrying if Tony Kahn will
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: start implementing at least a thirty day non compete in
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: future contracts just to keep up with WWE scalping their
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: talent probably wouldn't be a bad idea. Broley seven felt
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: like a low budget Vince booked show. It did feel
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: very Vince like in some of these sports entertainment segments
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: and the AJ Hernandez says, need to be need to
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: be normal sub to write. Now, you've got to be
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: a subscriber for a week to be able to write
- 1:26:46Speaker 1: in the chat. That's to weed out trolls. As you
- 1:26:51Speaker 1: can see, there's plenty of people chatting away in the chat,
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: so feel free to join in if you've been subbed
- 1:26:57Speaker 1: for at least a week. It used to be too weeks.
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: It actually used to be four weeks, but I lowered
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: it to a week. Brandon Proctor with a twenty five
- 1:27:09Speaker 1: dollars Breode, It's going on. Brother. Loved the new episode
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: of rspw rewind still feels weird seeing you go live
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: for a TNA show. It is, well, it's very unusual.
- 1:27:24Speaker 1: I went live for three TNA pay per views last year,
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: but not for Impact, and after tonight that will be
- 1:27:30Speaker 1: the last, most likely because unless there's some special episode again,
- 1:27:34Speaker 1: I ain't doing this again. Duff's VIDs. I'm convinced that
- 1:27:38Speaker 1: it's not about ratings anymore, it's only about the money.
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: For all three WWEAW and TNA four ADP resolution for
- 1:27:48Speaker 1: the first hour, I see, I knew I wasn't the
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: only one. Like it looked very washed out. I couldn't
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: believe it. Like, I just remember those episodes on Spike,
- 1:27:59Speaker 1: and I'm like, how how have they actually gone backwards
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: in terms of like the visual presentation of their show,
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: Like I can understand if it was always like that,
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: but it just it looked it just looked bad, you know,
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: it just looked very bush league Duffs VIDs. That was
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: Duff's VIDs. Thank you Duff's Toya ain't and nice solo
- 1:28:29Speaker 1: on a Thursday. What a treat. Well, I'm glad you
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: can enjoy it. I'm glad you're with me, Brandon says
- 1:28:37Speaker 1: Dixie Carter and TNA and you're reviewing the show now.
- 1:28:41Speaker 1: It really feels like the old days of the sound off.
- 1:28:43Speaker 1: It does, except I'm on camera this time. Back then,
- 1:28:49Speaker 1: you couldn't visually see my head exploding. As I was
- 1:28:53Speaker 1: watching the show and reviewing the show, Toya says, da,
- 1:29:00Speaker 1: please don't go full WWE. I feel like they're like
- 1:29:03Speaker 1: three quarters of the way there, like they're trying to
- 1:29:05Speaker 1: be they really do. They come off as WWE light,
- 1:29:10Speaker 1: which is not where you want to be. You want
- 1:29:11Speaker 1: to carve out your own path. Say what you will
- 1:29:14Speaker 1: about aw Look, I don't like a lot of what
- 1:29:17Speaker 1: I see week to week either, But I mean you
- 1:29:20Speaker 1: can't say that they are copying WWE here and trying
- 1:29:24Speaker 1: to be just like WWE. So that's going to be
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: the challenge for TNA. You know, what can they offer
- 1:29:31Speaker 1: that people can't already get from the Big two? That's
- 1:29:37Speaker 1: a question only they can answer. And if their content
- 1:29:40Speaker 1: with just being a you know, kind of great value
- 1:29:44Speaker 1: version of WWE in many ways, then okay, then that's
- 1:29:49Speaker 1: their choice. But that's kind of how they came off tonight.
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: Death Side says, my favorite Dusty Rhodes promo came from TNA,
- 1:29:56Speaker 1: which was when he said it says pro wrestling on
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: the marquee. It does not say a midget beating off
- 1:30:01Speaker 1: in the trash? Can Philip Bowman? What did the groom
- 1:30:11Speaker 1: say to his bride on their April twentieth wedding? When
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: I first saw you, I already knew I wanted to
- 1:30:20Speaker 1: marry Jane, you're giving your age away with that joke.
- 1:30:27Speaker 1: Does anybody call it that anymore? Have some Mary Jane
- 1:30:34Speaker 1: bass bears. I remember being a teenager, I saw TNA
- 1:30:38Speaker 1: billboards in Times Square hyping up the move to Mondays.
- 1:30:41Speaker 1: Also remember being excited to play the TNA video game.
- 1:30:44Speaker 1: Didn't people crap all over the TNA video game and
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: say it sucked? I never played it, but I remember
- 1:30:51Speaker 1: there being some terrible reviews for it, not unlike the
- 1:30:59Speaker 1: first AWA, A lot of really bad reviews for that too.
- 1:31:05Speaker 1: Hey Bo said, so what's going on, Bo Refirst? Yes,
- 1:31:10Speaker 1: let's go smoke some grass. Let's go get some grass,
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: Ryan Hood. The live Impact shows have always been met,
- 1:31:22Speaker 1: while the live TNA Plus specials and their canned tapings
- 1:31:27Speaker 1: are better. Well, apparently the TNA Plus stream was not
- 1:31:30Speaker 1: better tonight because apparently it wasn't even working. Alex says,
- 1:31:37Speaker 1: brother Solo, good to see you in the chat here
- 1:31:39Speaker 1: on a Thursday. What are your thoughts on the two
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: thousand and five classic from Angles, Samoa, Joe and Christopher Daniels.
- 1:31:46Speaker 1: Do you think that level of quality from TNA can
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: ever be reached again? Well, you're talking about unbreakable because
- 1:31:53Speaker 1: the unbreakable match was Styles and Joe and Daniels, not Angle.
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: I think that's still regarded as the greatest match in
- 1:32:02Speaker 1: TNA history. It's an excellent match. There's a reason why
- 1:32:06Speaker 1: people still talk about it to this day. And then
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: in his very next super Chatty says, sorry, I met
- 1:32:16Speaker 1: aj Styles. There you go. I hope I answered your question. Dude,
- 1:32:22Speaker 1: here's seventy three. TNA bumbled the ball tonight. Not enough matches,
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: shooting empty seats, bad promos, bad production. In my god,
- 1:32:33Speaker 1: get a proper looking announcers table. Yeah, I mean everything
- 1:32:39Speaker 1: about it. Just again, it was just very I'm sorry
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: to say. I mean, I'm glad they have a TV deal,
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: but it just came off very low rent. Bass Beers says,
- 1:32:51Speaker 1: the Highlander is in the impact zone. Paul Carpenter, who's
- 1:32:58Speaker 1: your favorite TNA star of all times? His mine is
- 1:33:03Speaker 1: Bobby Rude. Does kurd Angle count? I mean he has
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: to count. He spent more time in TNA than he
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: did in WWA. His addition to that roster was just huge.
- 1:33:14Speaker 1: It was a shot in the arm. It was a
- 1:33:16Speaker 1: shot of credibility that they really needed at that time.
- 1:33:22Speaker 1: And he had great matches with almost everybody, whether it
- 1:33:25Speaker 1: was Staying, whether it was Jeff Jarrett, whether it was Abyss.
- 1:33:29Speaker 1: I just I can't really rank anybody else over him.
- 1:33:37Speaker 1: I like Bobby Rude, especially when he went heel. I
- 1:33:40Speaker 1: was a big fan of his work, but I think
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: I would go with Kurt Angle. Lost Dill. Been a
- 1:33:49Speaker 1: while since I've sent in any chats. Just wanted to
- 1:33:51Speaker 1: say thank you for RSPW and all of your hard work.
- 1:33:54Speaker 1: Thank you Solo, well, thank you lost Dill. I saw
- 1:33:57Speaker 1: your comment under the RSPW video. It is linked right
- 1:34:01Speaker 1: now by the way, I pinned it up in the
- 1:34:03Speaker 1: top of the chat, so the link is there. You
- 1:34:04Speaker 1: have to be a channel member. You guys get early access,
- 1:34:08Speaker 1: and then everybody else will get access to it early
- 1:34:11Speaker 1: next week. I had a lot of fun putting that
- 1:34:15Speaker 1: one together, going down memory lane through all the old posts,
- 1:34:21Speaker 1: believe it or not, I found what is believed to
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: be the oldest archived wrestling post on RSPW on that
- 1:34:27Speaker 1: news group from January of nineteen ninety, and I read
- 1:34:32Speaker 1: it in today's episode. Nineteen ninety, Hogan and Warrior had
- 1:34:38Speaker 1: not yet even had their match of WrestleMania that's how
- 1:34:40Speaker 1: far back that post goes. It's unbelievable. Dead Kirby twenty two,
- 1:34:49Speaker 1: Dolph against AJ would have been a great main event. Well,
- 1:34:54Speaker 1: I don't know about main event, because if they were
- 1:34:56Speaker 1: doing a world championship match, you want a main event
- 1:34:59Speaker 1: with that. But imagine doing you know, Dolphin AJ at
- 1:35:03Speaker 1: the top of the hour, right and then closing the
- 1:35:06Speaker 1: show with a big world title change. That would have
- 1:35:12Speaker 1: been a nice attraction. Bass Beer says, why wasn't Matt
- 1:35:20Speaker 1: Morgan a bigger deal the blueprint? Huh? I don't know.
- 1:35:27Speaker 1: I mean, Matt Morgan was not when you look at
- 1:35:31Speaker 1: the sort of top elite performers in the company at
- 1:35:34Speaker 1: that time, he was not better than those people. So
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: should he have done more and gone farther than he did? Maybe?
- 1:35:44Speaker 1: He had certain attributes about him, namely his size, and
- 1:35:49Speaker 1: I always felt like he moved around well for a
- 1:35:52Speaker 1: bigger guy. He just didn't have he didn't have that
- 1:35:55Speaker 1: in factor, you know, he just didn't have that intangible
- 1:36:00Speaker 1: that really makes him, other than the fact that he
- 1:36:03Speaker 1: was huge, stand out in a way that makes him
- 1:36:07Speaker 1: kind of feel like a top guy. He just he
- 1:36:09Speaker 1: didn't have that. Phillip says, which was worse twenty ten
- 1:36:18Speaker 1: to twenty thirteen TNA or twenty seventeen to twenty twenty
- 1:36:22Speaker 1: one WWE of twenty seventeen to twenty twenty one WWE.
- 1:36:27Speaker 1: I was reviewing TNA during that twenty twelve to twenty
- 1:36:32Speaker 1: fourteen period. I was enjoying. The reason I started reviewing
- 1:36:37Speaker 1: Impact every week again on the sound off after I
- 1:36:39Speaker 1: stopped for so many years was because I genuinely started
- 1:36:43Speaker 1: enjoying the show again. Funny enough, it was around the
- 1:36:47Speaker 1: time that Brooke Hogan started appearing on it. It had
- 1:36:49Speaker 1: nothing to do with her, but it was like around
- 1:36:52Speaker 1: that period of time, and I just I enjoyed the shows.
- 1:36:56Speaker 1: I enjoyed the shows. And you know, I mean I can't.
- 1:37:04Speaker 1: I just can't sit here and tell you that twenty
- 1:37:07Speaker 1: eighteen twenty nineteen WWE and then you had COVID and
- 1:37:10Speaker 1: there were no fans, Like that fucking sucked. Dude. I
- 1:37:14Speaker 1: don't care what good matches we got during that period,
- 1:37:16Speaker 1: Like wrestling is not meant to be watched with no
- 1:37:19Speaker 1: fans in the audience. Like that just sucks. I have
- 1:37:24Speaker 1: no desire to go back and rewatch those shows. Like
- 1:37:28Speaker 1: for me, it has no replay value whatsoever. Phillip says
- 1:37:37Speaker 1: Page Moxley Revolution twenty twenty three or All in Texas.
- 1:37:44Speaker 1: All in Texas had the better story. The story is
- 1:37:49Speaker 1: what makes the difference. They were both I think they
- 1:37:51Speaker 1: were both Texas death matches, so they both had all
- 1:37:54Speaker 1: the probably blood and violence and bullshit, but the Texas
- 1:38:01Speaker 1: match had a much better story. Horatio Alger. Some people
- 1:38:06Speaker 1: think Vince killed Owen because Brett left, Well, some people
- 1:38:10Speaker 1: are fucking idiots. I hope that answers your question, not
- 1:38:17Speaker 1: that you had a question there, but if your question was,
- 1:38:20Speaker 1: do I believe that the answer is no. Vince McMahon
- 1:38:25Speaker 1: is a lot of things, but no, I don't believe
- 1:38:27Speaker 1: he intentionally killed Owen Hart and anybody who does is
- 1:38:31Speaker 1: an idiot. Aaron says Elena is probably already one of
- 1:38:37Speaker 1: the top women in the division, at least on name recognition.
- 1:38:41Speaker 1: Wonder if she continues to improve and gets over if
- 1:38:44Speaker 1: WWE would want to give her another chance. Oh, I
- 1:38:47Speaker 1: fully expect her to be back in WWE. I haven't
- 1:38:51Speaker 1: said when she left. I mean, she's still very young,
- 1:38:54Speaker 1: so unless she just didn't want to wrestle anymore, and
- 1:38:57Speaker 1: obviously she does, plenty of time for her to improve
- 1:39:00Speaker 1: and work and go back to WWE, but she hasn't
- 1:39:06Speaker 1: worked since she left, and I don't know. I think
- 1:39:11Speaker 1: I remember her saying something online about having some mental
- 1:39:13Speaker 1: health issues. So whether it was her mental health, whether
- 1:39:17Speaker 1: it was a physical issue, if she hasn't been able
- 1:39:19Speaker 1: to work, that's one thing. But she has to work.
- 1:39:22Speaker 1: The only way you're gonna get better is by working.
- 1:39:25Speaker 1: So if WWE releases you and you don't work for
- 1:39:27Speaker 1: a year, you're not gonna grow, You're not gonna get better,
- 1:39:32Speaker 1: You're gonna regress. So she has to start working matches
- 1:39:35Speaker 1: and getting out there. And if she could work indies
- 1:39:37Speaker 1: and do some indies as well, and if she does that,
- 1:39:41Speaker 1: and if she starts to really build her name back
- 1:39:43Speaker 1: up and improves, then absolutely wwwe'll give her another shot.
- 1:39:47Speaker 1: I don't think there was any you know, malice when
- 1:39:50Speaker 1: she left. I don't think she burned any bridges. Bobby means,
- 1:39:59Speaker 1: is Santana in a contract year or does he have
- 1:40:01Speaker 1: a new deal. I've heard different things. My guess is
- 1:40:07Speaker 1: he's probably locked in for most, if not all, of
- 1:40:11Speaker 1: this year, and then maybe he'll be a free agent.
- 1:40:14Speaker 1: If he chooses to become one. He's another one who
- 1:40:17Speaker 1: I think is destined for NXT. You know, NXTWWE, whether
- 1:40:22Speaker 1: it's later this year or next year, he'll he'll absolutely
- 1:40:25Speaker 1: end up there. I'm sure they were very impressed by
- 1:40:31Speaker 1: the work he did when he was working on NXT.
- 1:40:35Speaker 1: Duff's VIDs. I didn't get to see the Knockouts tag
- 1:40:37Speaker 1: team title match because my feed went right back to
- 1:40:40Speaker 1: commercials after ten seconds from the previous commercials. I thought
- 1:40:43Speaker 1: WWE was bad with commercials. Well, TNA is trying to
- 1:40:48Speaker 1: be WWE, so they're doing a good job. Don't worry
- 1:40:53Speaker 1: about the tag title match. He didn't miss much bass beers,
- 1:40:57Speaker 1: says Dixie Normous. Hmm, where's the cliffhanger? Where's the hot storyline?
- 1:41:08Speaker 1: Don't know. I said the same thing about Dynamite last night.
- 1:41:15Speaker 1: This is kind of a problem in wrestling in general
- 1:41:17Speaker 1: right now. What is the hot storyline? What is the
- 1:41:22Speaker 1: story or the feud that has everybody a buzz? Please
- 1:41:28Speaker 1: show me. Death Side says Nick Nemath. Will be the
- 1:41:34Speaker 1: special guest referee, but the Texas Death Match between Caz
- 1:41:39Speaker 1: and Santana, Nick Nemeth is walking out with the title
- 1:41:43Speaker 1: isn't he sozo? Is that official? They're having a Texas deathmatch? Yeah?
- 1:41:50Speaker 1: I could see there being some fuckery this weekend. Did
- 1:41:56Speaker 1: I watch TNA through VPN? Now? I watched TNA YouTube.
- 1:41:59Speaker 1: TA has AMC so I didn't need one. Phillip says,
- 1:42:05Speaker 1: how would you have booked Finn Balor post injury better
- 1:42:10Speaker 1: than WWE? I would have had him winning matches and
- 1:42:14Speaker 1: not being pinned and not being made to look weak
- 1:42:17Speaker 1: and less than although he was part of a pretty
- 1:42:22Speaker 1: kick ass intercontinental title matcher. Wrestlemantia thirty four. Death Site
- 1:42:31Speaker 1: says I meant to say out of genesis. Yes, I
- 1:42:36Speaker 1: suspected that's what you meant. Thank you, brother. Also, he says, sorry,
- 1:42:41Speaker 1: I have consumed fourteen Budweisers tonight and currently working on
- 1:42:44Speaker 1: my fifteenth and finally my sixteenth. I think you may
- 1:42:49Speaker 1: have a problem there, my friend. I think sixteen should
- 1:42:53Speaker 1: be the cutoff. I think you've had enough. I don't
- 1:42:56Speaker 1: even know if he's still conscious. When did this supercheck
- 1:42:59Speaker 1: come in? I don't have a timestamp on this. Derenzo
- 1:43:08Speaker 1: A Derenza, Thank you, brother, he says, high solemn monster.
- 1:43:11Speaker 1: I just came back from that new twenty eight years
- 1:43:14Speaker 1: later Bone Temple movie. It was awesome. It was so awesome.
- 1:43:18Speaker 1: I felt generous enough to donate. Hope you're well. Was
- 1:43:22Speaker 1: TNA any good? No? Not really, unfortunately, and that's hey. Look,
- 1:43:28Speaker 1: I wish that they would release a new twenty eight
- 1:43:30Speaker 1: days later movie every week and then we can get
- 1:43:33Speaker 1: more Derenzo drops here on the streams. Well, I'm glad
- 1:43:36Speaker 1: you enjoyed the movie. I didn't even know there was
- 1:43:42Speaker 1: a new twenty eight years later movie out. Aj Hernandez
- 1:43:48Speaker 1: thoughts on WWE going back to bodybuilder types, greater influx
- 1:43:51Speaker 1: of smaller veterans heading to aw Yeah, I mean there's
- 1:43:55Speaker 1: a rumor that they're looking at I think that was
- 1:43:58Speaker 1: just a Meltzer observation and people or running with it
- 1:44:00Speaker 1: is if there's some new policy. I think that, you know,
- 1:44:05Speaker 1: wrestling is best when you have lots of different body
- 1:44:09Speaker 1: types and physiques and just types of wrestlers and not
- 1:44:13Speaker 1: everybody looks the same and sounds the same and wrestles
- 1:44:16Speaker 1: the same. So I mean, that's fine if you want
- 1:44:19Speaker 1: to have some bodybuilder types, but don't recruit only bodybuilder types,
- 1:44:23Speaker 1: and I don't think they are I think that was
- 1:44:25Speaker 1: just a generalization, So I don't necessarily believe that. I
- 1:44:33Speaker 1: can believe though, that when they're recruiting these college athletes,
- 1:44:36Speaker 1: they're looking for guys that and women that are super athletic,
- 1:44:41Speaker 1: come from a sports background, and maybe are making that
- 1:44:46Speaker 1: a priority over just recruiting off the independence scene. I
- 1:44:53Speaker 1: can believe that. And you know what, you look at
- 1:44:58Speaker 1: someone like an Obafemi, he was a college athlete, he
- 1:45:02Speaker 1: didn't work indies, He had no experience in three years.
- 1:45:05Speaker 1: Look at where he is now. He's about to have
- 1:45:07Speaker 1: a breakout year this year. He may be a world
- 1:45:09Speaker 1: champion within a year. And not everybody is an oba Femi.
- 1:45:13Speaker 1: But when you get an Oba Femi, you get a
- 1:45:14Speaker 1: Kendall Gray. You know, those are the kinds of people
- 1:45:18Speaker 1: that you can you can build your brand around. Bron Breaker. Now,
- 1:45:24Speaker 1: wrestling was in his family, but bron Breker also comes
- 1:45:26Speaker 1: from a sports background in college super athletic. I'd want
- 1:45:34Speaker 1: to recruit people like that too. Nash's worst gimmick OZ
- 1:45:42Speaker 1: Vinnie Vegas or others, says Ryan Hood. Oh I would
- 1:45:47Speaker 1: say Oz, it didn't last very long. How many matches
- 1:45:51Speaker 1: did he even have? His ohs? Did he have more
- 1:45:54Speaker 1: than half a dozen matches in that gimmick tuxedo t servo,
- 1:46:01Speaker 1: no message is showing some love fifteen dollars super check.
- 1:46:04Speaker 1: Thank you, my friend. I appreciate that. Death Site says
- 1:46:09Speaker 1: seen his match with the Rock at WrestleMania twenty eight
- 1:46:12Speaker 1: was better than his rematch at WrestleMania twenty nine. The
- 1:46:15Speaker 1: fact that WrestleMania twenty nine match won the Match of
- 1:46:18Speaker 1: the Year Slammy over Punkin Undertaker was a joke. Yeah,
- 1:46:22Speaker 1: the fix was in on that. And I say that
- 1:46:25Speaker 1: as someone who was in the building for both those matches.
- 1:46:27Speaker 1: That WrestleMania twenty nine match was s I hated that match.
- 1:46:38Speaker 1: You know, people talk about finishers spam and wrestling. The
- 1:46:41Speaker 1: worst example I've ever seen is that match between the
- 1:46:47Speaker 1: finisher attempts and then the finishers themselves and then more attempts.
- 1:46:51Speaker 1: That's all the match was. RDS. Harry says the six
- 1:46:57Speaker 1: sided ring TNA used to have made them unique. It did,
- 1:47:01Speaker 1: but it was also hell on your body. I don't
- 1:47:03Speaker 1: think a lot of the wrestlers would like to go
- 1:47:05Speaker 1: back to the six sided ring. Bred Hart says, the
- 1:47:09Speaker 1: first episode I watched from TNA I watched was in
- 1:47:12Speaker 1: early twenty ten when Samoa Joe was kidnapped by ninjas.
- 1:47:17Speaker 1: I have not watched an episode since he was kidnapped
- 1:47:22Speaker 1: by ninjas. And when he re emerged, he had what
- 1:47:25Speaker 1: appeared to be a penis tattoo on his face and
- 1:47:27Speaker 1: he had a sword. So you know, it got even better.
- 1:47:34Speaker 1: You missed the best part and Luis with a ten
- 1:47:39Speaker 1: dollars super chat. Leon Slater not being there had everything
- 1:47:42Speaker 1: to do well. Leon Slater is having visa issues, so
- 1:47:47Speaker 1: that was something that they made very clear on the show.
- 1:47:53Speaker 1: Leon Slater if wwe wanted to use him though, let's
- 1:47:56Speaker 1: say they wanted to use him on SmackDown tomorrow because
- 1:47:59Speaker 1: they're going to be in the UK. I would imagine that.
- 1:48:03Speaker 1: I don't know. I mean, I would imagine over there
- 1:48:04Speaker 1: he could probably work. I don't know, what do you think?
- 1:48:09Speaker 1: Do you think we might get Leon Slater and Carmelo
- 1:48:11Speaker 1: Hayes and a US title Open challenge. That'd be something,
- 1:48:16Speaker 1: wouldn't it. I don't know about back to back losses though,
- 1:48:21Speaker 1: you know, he just lost to Obafemi. Now he would
- 1:48:23Speaker 1: show up and lose to Carmelo Hayes kind of makes
- 1:48:27Speaker 1: him look like a bitch. If he goes to the
- 1:48:29Speaker 1: other company and loses to two of their guys, be
- 1:48:36Speaker 1: a great match though, And we have the four qualifying
- 1:48:40Speaker 1: matches as well to determine who goes to the fatal
- 1:48:44Speaker 1: four way next weekend at Saturday Night's main event, So
- 1:48:51Speaker 1: we'll see how that goes. Death sythe I'm still alive
- 1:48:55Speaker 1: and yes, sixteen is my cutoff. Also, if they're gonna
- 1:48:58Speaker 1: bombard us with commercials, give us the Amerquest and Trojan advertisements.
- 1:49:07Speaker 1: I'm telling you, man it. If you have all these commercials,
- 1:49:09Speaker 1: at least at least make them fun or funny. Leon
- 1:49:17Speaker 1: will definitely be on SMAM. I'm thinking he'll be. I
- 1:49:20Speaker 1: think there's a very good chance he's going to accept
- 1:49:22Speaker 1: that open challenge because him working in the UK, there
- 1:49:26Speaker 1: wouldn't be any issue. You wouldn't think Solo Socoa will
- 1:49:31Speaker 1: finish the story and win the title. Okay, that may
- 1:49:34Speaker 1: be where I end my smack dam reviews. If that happens,
- 1:49:38Speaker 1: what does he need the title for. He's got the lantern.
- 1:49:40Speaker 1: He stole the lantern from Uncle Howdy and Aaron says
- 1:49:47Speaker 1: thoughts on the report on the rumored plan of Roman
- 1:49:50Speaker 1: beating Drew and Cody is the challenger at WrestleMania. It
- 1:49:53Speaker 1: feels like a rerun. I don't want Cody to win
- 1:49:55Speaker 1: the Royal Room. It's all it's all rumoring, conjecture. I mean,
- 1:49:58Speaker 1: that's all it is. And I'll talk more about all
- 1:50:00Speaker 1: all the different theories and rumors and reports on the
- 1:50:03Speaker 1: sound off this weekend. But take nothing that you were
- 1:50:06Speaker 1: reading at face value. Nobody knows for sure what is
- 1:50:10Speaker 1: going to happen. I think WWE is putting a lot
- 1:50:13Speaker 1: of bullshit out there. They're just flooding the zone with
- 1:50:16Speaker 1: bullshit to kind of throw people off. Look for all
- 1:50:20Speaker 1: we know, we were bamboozled into thinking that Seth Rollins
- 1:50:23Speaker 1: is going to be out longer than he is and
- 1:50:25Speaker 1: he'll show up and win the rumble. No one's talking
- 1:50:28Speaker 1: about Seth Rollins showing up and winning the rumble. What
- 1:50:30Speaker 1: if all this stuff about how oh you know, I'm
- 1:50:32Speaker 1: going to start rehabbing February and hopefully I'm back in April.
- 1:50:35Speaker 1: What if it's all bullshit? Do you ever think about that?
- 1:50:41Speaker 1: This is the guy who was in on a work
- 1:50:45Speaker 1: trying to work everybody in July about another injury. I
- 1:50:49Speaker 1: put nothing past them. It's like when John Cenatore's peck
- 1:50:53Speaker 1: in October of seven, and that's an injury that you
- 1:50:56Speaker 1: would expect he would be out for for like five
- 1:50:58Speaker 1: or six months, but at all depends on the severity
- 1:51:01Speaker 1: of the peck tear. But we were led to believe that, like,
- 1:51:03Speaker 1: he's not going to be back for the Rumble, and
- 1:51:05Speaker 1: then boom, He's number thirty in the Royal Rumble. It's
- 1:51:09Speaker 1: not that he has mutant healing powers. It's just that
- 1:51:11Speaker 1: I'm sure the peck tear was not as serious as
- 1:51:13Speaker 1: it could have been, and they kept it very hush hush,
- 1:51:16Speaker 1: and it made for one of the biggest surprises in
- 1:51:17Speaker 1: Rumble history because nobody was expecting him to walk out
- 1:51:20Speaker 1: there at number thirty. So I put nothing past these people.
- 1:51:29Speaker 1: And Joseph Stewart is back. Do you remember the movie
- 1:51:33Speaker 1: The Searches with John Wayne and Natalie Wood? Never saw it.
- 1:51:40Speaker 1: You strike me as a big John Wayne fan, but
- 1:51:44Speaker 1: that one I've not seen. Fistful of dollars and true
- 1:51:48Speaker 1: grits like, yeah, I've heard of those. Anyway, you guys
- 1:51:55Speaker 1: hit that goal before. What is your favorite Jessica, I
- 1:51:59Speaker 1: assume that means alba, He said ala jet. What is
- 1:52:04Speaker 1: my favorite Jessica album movie? I don't think I have one.
- 1:52:09Speaker 1: All Right, we hit the goal. I'm very proud of
- 1:52:12Speaker 1: you guys. This is gonna be I believe, our first
- 1:52:17Speaker 1: time ever doing be the booker on a Thursday, since
- 1:52:19Speaker 1: I don't usually stream on Thursday. So let's make some
- 1:52:23Speaker 1: history here, shall we. It's time to be the booker.
- 1:52:26Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, it is now time to be the booker.
- 1:52:31Speaker 1: Ah Joseph says, fistful of dollars was Clint Eastwood? I
- 1:52:38Speaker 1: got my Western actors mixed up? You are correct. Now
- 1:52:48Speaker 1: here's the tag team you talk about, a badass team.
- 1:52:52Speaker 1: This was the summer of ninety eight, my favorite summer's
- 1:52:56Speaker 1: ever in wrestling. Everything just felt so red hot during
- 1:53:00Speaker 1: that summer. Undertaker and Stone Cold Steve Ball. This is
- 1:53:05Speaker 1: right around the time I actually went to my first
- 1:53:07Speaker 1: raw in person. Stone Cold and the Undertaker are kicking
- 1:53:11Speaker 1: us off here and be the booker. This is a
- 1:53:13Speaker 1: good sign. We're off to a good start here. Oscar says,
- 1:53:23Speaker 1: totally random, But where can I buy that solemn monster mug? Oh?
- 1:53:26Speaker 1: This sweet mug right here with this sweet logo. Just
- 1:53:31Speaker 1: go to my website. If you go to the Solomonster
- 1:53:35Speaker 1: dot com, it's my link tree, the very last link
- 1:53:38Speaker 1: on the Actually it's either the last one or second
- 1:53:41Speaker 1: to last one. I think the last link is to
- 1:53:42Speaker 1: my mother's children's book on Amazon. But there's a link
- 1:53:48Speaker 1: there that says get mugged, and if you click that,
- 1:53:51Speaker 1: you can buy the mug All right. Undertaker and Stone
- 1:53:56Speaker 1: Cold against book A T and gold Dust. See that
- 1:54:03Speaker 1: would make for some entertaining segments on television. Booker T
- 1:54:09Speaker 1: and Golda's Book Dust or the Golden Book against Austin
- 1:54:16Speaker 1: and the Undertaker. I like it. See that's a match
- 1:54:20Speaker 1: that will draw me some money here on my card.
- 1:54:23Speaker 1: And now we need a women's match that's gonna draw
- 1:54:25Speaker 1: me some money. This will not draw me some money.
- 1:54:28Speaker 1: We have Naya Jacks. This will not draw me any money.
- 1:54:40Speaker 1: Naya Jacks against bird Girl Lyra Valkyria. I like bird Girl,
- 1:54:55Speaker 1: but again, I need matches that are gonna draw me
- 1:54:57Speaker 1: some money. Here. The Terror Tori has been a little
- 1:55:01Speaker 1: rough lately, and I don't want to say we're on
- 1:55:04Speaker 1: our last legs, but we need to generate some business
- 1:55:07Speaker 1: and some you know, an ass every eighteen inches. I
- 1:55:11Speaker 1: don't think that match is going to do it. We
- 1:55:16Speaker 1: got to do better than that. Maybe our main event
- 1:55:21Speaker 1: will do so. Oh look it's the human crash test.
- 1:55:26Speaker 1: Dummy Darby Allen. What ridiculous bump will he take in
- 1:55:34Speaker 1: this match? He's in the main event. I mean, is
- 1:55:36Speaker 1: no telling what this guy? He's insane, absolutely insane. Darby
- 1:55:51Speaker 1: Allen against Booker T, which is fine, but I mean,
- 1:55:57Speaker 1: we just had Booker T. Book We have Booker T
- 1:56:00Speaker 1: pulling double duty here on this show. See that's how
- 1:56:05Speaker 1: you know you got a territory on the way down
- 1:56:07Speaker 1: when you've got guys pulling double duty on the same show.
- 1:56:13Speaker 1: But Darby and Booker would be a good match. We
- 1:56:20Speaker 1: have the aj Hernandez. Are you a Deadlock Wrestling podcast fan?
- 1:56:26Speaker 1: I don't really have a lot of time to listen
- 1:56:28Speaker 1: to other podcasts. I'm just so freaking busy with my
- 1:56:31Speaker 1: own stuff, so i don't have much to offer on that.
- 1:56:39Speaker 1: But I've been asked about that a few times, so
- 1:56:42Speaker 1: obviously they have quite a few fans, so I've had
- 1:56:45Speaker 1: a few people ask me about that. Joseph says Jessica
- 1:56:52Speaker 1: Albo Oh, yeah, of course. Jessica Alba was in the
- 1:56:54Speaker 1: Fantastic Four as Sue st of course, Yeah, how did
- 1:56:58Speaker 1: I forget that that she's in The Fantastic for Michael
- 1:57:01Speaker 1: Chicklis was in there. He's my favorite actor. Also, have
- 1:57:04Speaker 1: you seen the Western they call me Trinity? I have
- 1:57:09Speaker 1: not five hundred likes? Holy shit. Seriously, we did better
- 1:57:17Speaker 1: on the Impact stream than we did on the Dynamite stream.
- 1:57:19Speaker 1: I don't know what that says about Dynamite. Link master
- 1:57:27Speaker 1: X says a bigger disappointment Sopranos movie or Joker Too. Well,
- 1:57:32Speaker 1: I will say the Sopranos movie, but I did not
- 1:57:35Speaker 1: see the Joker Too because I was warned that it
- 1:57:38Speaker 1: was terrible, So I never even bothered watching Joker Too.
- 1:57:42Speaker 1: Sopranos movie, it was okay, but it was still I
- 1:57:45Speaker 1: found it a little disappointing though, So I have to
- 1:57:48Speaker 1: go with that just because I didn't see the other one.
- 1:57:53Speaker 1: And Joseph again, thank you, brother, I hope you have
- 1:57:55Speaker 1: a very good night. Look up the Trinity slap scene.
- 1:58:03Speaker 1: I may have to do that. Booker commentates his own
- 1:58:08Speaker 1: match against Darby. That would be entertaining, as he throws
- 1:58:14Speaker 1: Darby down a flight of stairs backwards. Never watched the Sopranos.
- 1:58:22Speaker 1: We have the Shame Hobby. Now, Hobby, you've got to
- 1:58:27Speaker 1: you've got to give that a shot. You've got to
- 1:58:31Speaker 1: give that a shot. It's the greatest television show ever made.
- 1:58:38Speaker 1: There wasn't a single episode of that show where I
- 1:58:41Speaker 1: did not watch it with some just sense of dread
- 1:58:45Speaker 1: hanging over me, not knowing what might come next. Yeah,
- 1:58:54Speaker 1: what's funny is there were some episodes. There's one episode
- 1:58:56Speaker 1: in particular called the Test Pattern I think it was,
- 1:59:00Speaker 1: or the not the Test Pattern, the Test Dream. Maybe
- 1:59:05Speaker 1: it's one of those episodes where it's you always you
- 1:59:07Speaker 1: have this on a lot of TV shows, where it's
- 1:59:09Speaker 1: kind of like really out there, or maybe it's like
- 1:59:11Speaker 1: a dream episode or something, and it's like, oh man,
- 1:59:13Speaker 1: we got like a throwaway. And back in the day,
- 1:59:16Speaker 1: when you know you would have to wait an entire
- 1:59:18Speaker 1: week for the next episode of a television show, it
- 1:59:22Speaker 1: annoyed the fuck out of you. Now, when you can
- 1:59:24Speaker 1: like binge stuff, it's less of an issue. But I've
- 1:59:27Speaker 1: gained a greater appreciation for like those types of episodes
- 1:59:31Speaker 1: over time. You know, like even even my favorite, one
- 1:59:34Speaker 1: of my favorite shows is The Shield, and they had
- 1:59:38Speaker 1: an episode like that. I think in season two where
- 1:59:40Speaker 1: it was like a throwback episode, and at the time
- 1:59:43Speaker 1: I didn't really appreciate it. I was like, man, I
- 1:59:45Speaker 1: want to know what's going to happen next. Now they're
- 1:59:46Speaker 1: going back in time. Now I got to wait two weeks,
- 1:59:50Speaker 1: you know, to get like a new episode. But it
- 1:59:53Speaker 1: gave some really important backstory to the characters. And when
- 1:59:57Speaker 1: I rewatched it years later, it's like, man, I I
- 2:00:00Speaker 1: gained like a new appreciation for that episode. I just
- 2:00:03Speaker 1: think like in the moment, we're all so like, I
- 2:00:05Speaker 1: want it now, I want the next episode now, and
- 2:00:07Speaker 1: you just sort of dismiss it, you know. But those
- 2:00:10Speaker 1: episodes are important for like story building and character building. Yeah,
- 2:00:18Speaker 1: Gandalfini plays himself in that episode pretty what is his name?
- 2:00:21Speaker 1: Kevin Finnerty. In that episode, he loses the accent and
- 2:00:30Speaker 1: at the very end of the episode they play that
- 2:00:32Speaker 1: Mobi song, which they actually played in the Stranger Things
- 2:00:36Speaker 1: finale as well. Have I seen the Natalie Woods movie
- 2:00:41Speaker 1: West Side Story, West Side Story? Yes, I've seen West
- 2:00:43Speaker 1: Side Story. Please explain Sopranos movie I have. I had
- 2:00:50Speaker 1: no clue. You should really look it up. It's been
- 2:00:54Speaker 1: a while since I've seen it, and I don't want
- 2:00:55Speaker 1: to spoil anything. You'll get better context if you just
- 2:00:59Speaker 1: look up like a synopsis of it. I thought his
- 2:01:02Speaker 1: son was good, though, I mean as far as like
- 2:01:04Speaker 1: acting wise. I don't know if his son has done
- 2:01:07Speaker 1: any other thing of note recently. Michael Gandolfini, did I
- 2:01:17Speaker 1: finish Stranger Thing? I did? Yes, Yes, I tweeted about
- 2:01:23Speaker 1: it a few days ago. I'll I may, I may.
- 2:01:26Speaker 1: I got a question in the mailbag about it. I
- 2:01:28Speaker 1: may just answer it on the sound off this weekend.
- 2:01:31Speaker 1: If I share any thoughts, try to keep it as
- 2:01:36Speaker 1: a spoiler free as I can, or if not, I'll
- 2:01:39Speaker 1: warn you guys. So maybe I'll chime in on that
- 2:01:42Speaker 1: on Sunday. But yeah, I finished it on Sunday night
- 2:01:47Speaker 1: and didn't realized the finale was like a movie. It's
- 2:01:49Speaker 1: over two hours, just the last episode. If I watched
- 2:01:55Speaker 1: any Fallout I have not, but I've been told that
- 2:01:58Speaker 1: I should. I never played any of the Fallout games,
- 2:02:00Speaker 1: but apparently the show was very good. Have I seen
- 2:02:05Speaker 1: the Breakfast Club? Yes, of course, I've seen the Breakfast Club.
- 2:02:11Speaker 1: He was in Daredevil Born Again. Okay, Gandelfeeni, it's good
- 2:02:16Speaker 1: to know. I didn't know if he was in anything
- 2:02:18Speaker 1: of like real Note your thoughts on the UnAmericans Stable
- 2:02:26Speaker 1: that lasted from two to June of two to March
- 2:02:29Speaker 1: of three. I didn't really care for it, not really
- 2:02:33Speaker 1: a fan. Did I watch the original American Gladiators, dude?
- 2:02:38Speaker 1: I used to watch that every weekend, every Saturday. I
- 2:02:40Speaker 1: think it would come on after Superstars, so I think
- 2:02:44Speaker 1: I would watch Wrestling from twelve to one, and then
- 2:02:46Speaker 1: from one to two they had American Gladiators, and I
- 2:02:50Speaker 1: would watch it every single week. Well, you play the
- 2:02:54Speaker 1: upcoming Halloween video game coming out this fall, we can
- 2:02:59Speaker 1: play as a commune. That would be interesting. Yeah, I
- 2:03:02Speaker 1: mean I probably would have an interest in playing it
- 2:03:04Speaker 1: if it's on like Steam for the PC. When it
- 2:03:07Speaker 1: comes out, we'll see. Do you play as Michael or
- 2:03:11Speaker 1: do you play as just like generic, you know, character
- 2:03:17Speaker 1: number one. I don't know from whose perspective the game
- 2:03:20Speaker 1: is from. When does the reboot of American Gladiators air? Oh? Yeah,
- 2:03:25Speaker 1: that's right, I forgot about that. The miss is the
- 2:03:27Speaker 1: host and Wardlow is on there. Right, is Camille one
- 2:03:30Speaker 1: of the Gladiators? Yeah, we haven't heard anything about that,
- 2:03:35Speaker 1: all right, tomorrow. Here's the plan. I'm gonna be watching
- 2:03:38Speaker 1: smack Down at three o'clock Eastern with my Express VPN,
- 2:03:42Speaker 1: which you can too by the way, it got a
- 2:03:44Speaker 1: good deal for you in the description down below. And
- 2:03:47Speaker 1: then I'm gonna go live. I'm thinking around nine o'clock,
- 2:03:52Speaker 1: maybe eight thirty, but probably plan for nine pm. We'll
- 2:03:56Speaker 1: go live, we'll talk about SmackDown, we'll see who accepts
- 2:03:58Speaker 1: the open challenge for Carl Hayes, we'll talk about all
- 2:04:01Speaker 1: the qualifying matches. Drew McIntyre will be there as the
- 2:04:04Speaker 1: WWE champion. So another day, another show. Hopefully you will
- 2:04:10Speaker 1: join me for that. And link Master says Tony Soprano
- 2:04:15Speaker 1: would have made a great WWF champion. I think he
- 2:04:19Speaker 1: would have cut some pretty good promos. But see, his
- 2:04:21Speaker 1: promo style wouldn't really fit in like the mid nineties.
- 2:04:27Speaker 1: He's more of like an Attitude era guy. But yeah,
- 2:04:30Speaker 1: he would have been. He would have been at a
- 2:04:32Speaker 1: pretty great character. I'll say that all right. If you're
- 2:04:37Speaker 1: a channel member, enjoy rspw rewind. If not, become a
- 2:04:40Speaker 1: channel member and then you can get access to it.
- 2:04:43Speaker 1: It's been almost an hour going through these old posts
- 2:04:46Speaker 1: and man, some of these comments. I wouldn't say I'm surprised,
- 2:04:52Speaker 1: but it certainly is something to go back and see
- 2:04:57Speaker 1: what people were complaining about and talking about all those
- 2:05:01Speaker 1: many years ago. All right, hit that like button on
- 2:05:03Speaker 1: your way out, and I will see you guys back here,
- 2:05:06Speaker 1: hopefully tomorrow. We'll do it all over again one more time.
- 2:05:10Speaker 1: We got some SmackDown. Until then, take care, guys,
