- 0:02Speaker 1: Hello and welcome to Outspoken. It's your dose of the
- 0:05Speaker 1: hottest influencer and pop culture news.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Twice a week. I'm Amy Torber and coming up on.
- 0:10Speaker 1: Today's show, Olivia Rogers' shock baby news, Sarah's Day's Black
- 0:15Speaker 1: Friday promo drama, Nadia Bartel's plans to grow her family
- 0:20Speaker 1: and our Friday influencer dump. But first, Tammy Hembrough's antics
- 0:24Speaker 1: following Showpo's 15th birthday event in Sydney have set tongues wagging.
- 0:28Speaker 2: Kate, can you tell us more?
- 0:30Speaker 1: So Tammy was filmed by paparazzi leaving the event with
- 0:33Speaker 1: an older gentleman who appears to be Sean Anderson. Now,
- 0:37Speaker 1: Sean is the CEO of the talent management company 22,
- 0:40Speaker 1: who recently signed Tammy to its books. He's also one
- 0:43Speaker 1: of Australia's best known talent managers. He made a name
- 0:46Speaker 1: for himself back in the day, managing Jennifer Hawkins when
- 0:49Speaker 1: she was crowned Miss Universe. And in this vision, they
- 0:52Speaker 1: look very cozy, don't they? So Sean's got his arm
- 0:55Speaker 1: around Tammy's shoulder and it almost looks like they're holding hands. Yeah,
- 0:58Speaker 1: his hand kind of lingers down to hold hers. And
- 1:01Speaker 1: it's kind of awkward because they're around other people waiting
- 1:03Speaker 1: for a taxi. Now, the video appeared on paparazzo Jaden
- 1:07Speaker 1: Seagrath's TikTok before it was very swiftly taken down, which
- 1:11Speaker 1: got people excited. questioning, oh, is he married? Now I
- 1:14Speaker 1: did some digging and it appears Sean is single. Back
- 1:17Speaker 1: in 2021, the Daily Telegraph reported that he and his
- 1:19Speaker 1: wife separated after 20 years of marriage. They have two
- 1:23Speaker 1: adult children together. I wonder what they think. It's quite
- 1:26Speaker 1: awkward because the search term Tammy Hembrough old man is
- 1:29Speaker 1: currently trending on TikTok. Yeah, I must admit when I
- 1:31Speaker 1: saw the vision, I was like, who the hell is
- 1:34Speaker 1: this guy and what on earth is going on? I mean,
- 1:36Speaker 1: playing devil's advocate, this could just be a friendship that
- 1:39Speaker 1: we're seeing. I mean, He is the CEO of the
- 1:41Speaker 1: talent management company Tammy works for. On Saturday night, Tammy
- 1:44Speaker 1: and her sisters attended the company's 22nd birthday event in Sydney.
- 1:48Speaker 1: So they've been hanging out a lot recently. I also
- 1:51Speaker 1: noticed Tammy showed some love on a post about Sean.
- 1:55Speaker 1: So one of the publicists who works for 22 Management
- 1:58Speaker 1: put up a post in the lead up to the
- 1:59Speaker 1: birthday praising Sean and Tammy Hembrough added love hearts under it. Look,
- 2:03Speaker 1: to me, this vision looked very flirty. It didn't look
- 2:06Speaker 1: like they were friends. And to add further intrigue, Back
- 2:09Speaker 1: in Tammy's hotel room after this event, she shared a
- 2:12Speaker 1: video of her lying in bed miming to the infamous
- 2:15Speaker 1: Mean Girls line, I can't go out, I'm sick. And
- 2:19Speaker 1: after she mimes to this, you see a man's muscly
- 2:21Speaker 1: arm reach into the shot and the anonymous man pulls
- 2:24Speaker 1: her into his bicep. I mean, this really is bicep gate.
- 2:27Speaker 1: People are like, who the hell is this? Is this
- 2:29Speaker 1: the old guy? I mean, not to age shame, but
- 2:31Speaker 1: I didn't look like an arm of an older gentleman.
- 2:34Speaker 1: I mean, if it is Sean Anderson, good on him.
- 2:36Speaker 1: You've clearly been hitting the gym. It was pretty funny
- 2:39Speaker 1: because Tammy was hanging out at this event with Indy
- 2:43Speaker 1: Clinton again. They are an iconic duo. They've actually added
- 2:46Speaker 1: to their mum's group, AIMS. What an inclusion. She is
- 2:49Speaker 1: an absolute legend. I love seeing the three of them
- 2:52Speaker 1: hanging out and filming TikToks. It's pretty funny because Indy
- 2:54Speaker 1: Clinton wrote under the video, Oh my effing God, I
- 2:57Speaker 1: have no one to talk about this with. Can I
- 2:59Speaker 1: call you? And Ames added, the way I gasp. Other
- 3:03Speaker 1: people weren't so happy about it. Another person wrote already,
- 3:06Speaker 1: to which Tammy replied, it's just a bicep. What does
- 3:09Speaker 1: she mean already? Hasn't she seen the news about Bailey Smith?
- 3:11Speaker 1: Could this be Bailey Smith's bicep? Well, talking about Bailey Smith,
- 3:15Speaker 1: one of our lovely listeners emailed us to let us
- 3:18Speaker 1: know that they spotted Bailey Smith on a plane to
- 3:21Speaker 1: the Gold Coast, potentially flying out to visit Tammy.
- 3:25Speaker 2: I'm excited for my bump.
- 3:26Speaker 3: Like I said, I've already got this Pinterest folder saved
- 3:29Speaker 3: of all the outfits I want to wear with my bump.
- 3:32Speaker 1: Olivia Rogers has announced she's expecting her first child with
- 3:35Speaker 1: boyfriend Hugo Brakey. The former Miss Universe contestant shared the
- 3:39Speaker 1: news on social media earlier this week and was inundated
- 3:42Speaker 1: with well wishes. The reaction online was almost as if
- 3:45Speaker 1: people had just found out their best friend was pregnant.
- 3:48Speaker 1: Everyone was just so genuinely happy for Olivia, which was
- 3:51Speaker 1: so nice to see. Yeah, and it makes a lot
- 3:52Speaker 1: of sense because Olivia has been so open about how
- 3:55Speaker 1: much she wants to be a mum. Yeah, it was
- 3:57Speaker 1: only a couple of years ago that she documented the
- 3:59Speaker 1: process of freezing her eggs, and following her divorce, she
- 4:02Speaker 1: shared that she was going through fertility treatment during her
- 4:04Speaker 1: marriage to Justin McKeon, which was very brave considering she
- 4:07Speaker 1: shared that It was actually part of the decision why
- 4:10Speaker 1: she decided to break up with him because she was
- 4:12Speaker 1: set to undergo a fertility procedure and realised the day
- 4:16Speaker 1: before going through with it that it just wasn't going
- 4:18Speaker 1: to work with Justin. She didn't want to have a
- 4:20Speaker 1: child with him. Yeah, because she said the thought of
- 4:22Speaker 1: having a baby with him made her feel really scared
- 4:25Speaker 1: when you should be feeling really excited and happy. Yeah,
- 4:27Speaker 1: and as you said earlier, Olivia has been so open
- 4:30Speaker 1: about the fact that she is ready to be a mum.
- 4:32Speaker 1: She even spoke about the prospect of having a baby
- 4:35Speaker 1: on her own. So that is why everyone is just
- 4:37Speaker 1: absolutely thrilled about this news. I suppose it goes to
- 4:39Speaker 1: show you never know what's actually around the corner because
- 4:42Speaker 1: it was a year after Olivia made that statement that
- 4:44Speaker 1: she met Hugo. So they actually met in December of 2023.
- 4:48Speaker 1: when Hugo was at a Bucks show and they're set
- 4:50Speaker 1: to celebrate their second anniversary in a.
- 4:52Speaker 2: Few weeks' time.
- 4:53Speaker 1: God, time is just going so quickly because I was like,
- 4:55Speaker 1: I'm certain they've only been together for a year, but
- 4:57Speaker 1: it actually has been two, which blew my mind. I know.
- 5:00Speaker 2: How was it two years ago since she was dating
- 5:01Speaker 2: Morgan Waterhouse?
- 5:02Speaker 1: Well, it might have something to do with the fact
- 5:03Speaker 1: that she didn't go public with her relationship until June 2024,
- 5:07Speaker 1: six months into it. And that was off the back
- 5:10Speaker 1: of Olivia wanting to keep her relationships private after her
- 5:13Speaker 1: divorce from Justin McKeon. As you touched on, Amy, she
- 5:16Speaker 1: did hook up with Morgan Waterhouse.
- 5:18Speaker 2: Quite quickly after her divorce.
- 5:19Speaker 1: And quite publicly, but I feel like Morgan Waterhouse was
- 5:22Speaker 1: the one pushing to make that so public. Yeah, he
- 5:25Speaker 1: made quite a few public potshots at Olivia that I
- 5:27Speaker 1: thought were really out of line. And I feel like
- 5:30Speaker 1: him being such a douchebag during and after their relationship,
- 5:33Speaker 1: I think it made everyone like Hugo so much, even
- 5:36Speaker 1: though we'd really only seen a photo of him, like
- 5:38Speaker 1: for months, all that we knew of him was that
- 5:40Speaker 1: he kind of looked a bit like Justin McKeon. It
- 5:43Speaker 1: wasn't until September that... that Olivia dropped an interview with
- 5:46Speaker 1: Hugo and it was really in-depth and he seemed lovely.
- 5:50Speaker 1: I mean, Kate, I remember you mentioning that he seemed
- 5:52Speaker 1: like a real private school boy originally.
- 5:54Speaker 2: I think that's perfect for Olivia, let's be honest. Yeah, exactly.
- 5:57Speaker 1: And if my math is correct, it must have been
- 5:59Speaker 1: around this time that they actually found out they were pregnant.
- 6:01Speaker 2: It is interesting timing.
- 6:03Speaker 1: I mean, from a PR perspective, Olivia probably thought, geez,
- 6:06Speaker 1: I really need to introduce this guy to my audience
- 6:09Speaker 1: because it's going to come as quite a shock if
- 6:11Speaker 1: I just suddenly say, oh, we're expecting a baby. I mean,
- 6:14Speaker 1: I've been very open about the fact that I've been
- 6:16Speaker 1: on Engagement Watch ever since this interview. I was predicting
- 6:20Speaker 1: an engagement in December, but this has really thrown me.
- 6:22Speaker 1: This was not on my bingo card. Well, yeah, I
- 6:25Speaker 1: thought you were on to something, especially when Olivia announced
- 6:28Speaker 1: that she and Hugo were moving into a bigger place.
- 6:30Speaker 1: But this is, of course, to accommodate for their baby. Yeah, well,
- 6:33Speaker 1: it seems like this move was put on fast track
- 6:36Speaker 1: because Olivia said that she didn't want to move when
- 6:38Speaker 1: she was heavily pregnant, which is obviously a good idea.
- 6:42Speaker 1: It seems like this was a real shock to Olivia
- 6:45Speaker 1: and Hugo because they Olivia was interviewed on her own
- 6:48Speaker 1: podcast this week after the news, and she said that
- 6:51Speaker 1: it came as a surprise because they actually weren't trying
- 6:53Speaker 1: to conceive. And she ended up taking a pregnancy test
- 6:56Speaker 1: after her period was a couple of days late. So
- 6:58Speaker 1: she found out at the four-week mark, which is very early.
- 7:01Speaker 1: You actually hear this happening quite often, especially in the
- 7:04Speaker 1: influencer world. Like Sarah's Day, she spoke about all of
- 7:07Speaker 1: her fertility issues. And then she had this surprise pregnancy
- 7:10Speaker 1: with Fox. I'm assuming that maybe they weren't taking as
- 7:13Speaker 1: many precautions because they thought, well, this is going to
- 7:15Speaker 1: be quite difficult for us to conceive.
- 7:17Speaker 2: And then they've had this amazing news.
- 7:19Speaker 1: Yeah, Olivia actually opened up about the fact that she
- 7:22Speaker 1: was quite nervous to share the news because as you said,
- 7:25Speaker 1: she's been very open about her fertility struggles and she
- 7:29Speaker 1: felt like maybe it wouldn't be received that well, particularly
- 7:32Speaker 1: because she'd also lined up to have her fertility specialist
- 7:35Speaker 1: on the podcast to be interviewed. Well, I'm kind of
- 7:37Speaker 1: not surprised that that thought went through Olivia's mind because
- 7:40Speaker 1: other influencers have spoken in the past about how they've
- 7:43Speaker 1: been on a fertility journey and when they fall pregnant,
- 7:46Speaker 1: suddenly their audience doesn't relate to them anymore and they
- 7:49Speaker 1: almost turn on them. Yeah, well, there are a lot
- 7:50Speaker 1: of emotions involved in a topic like fertility. So it
- 7:53Speaker 1: is understandable that things can get emotional in that space. Well,
- 7:57Speaker 1: on the day of this interview, Olivia shared a video
- 8:00Speaker 1: on Instagram of her finding out that she was pregnant.
- 8:03Speaker 1: So she had hit record on her phone because she
- 8:06Speaker 1: thought that this pregnancy test was going to be one
- 8:08Speaker 1: of many negative tests. So she was very shocked to
- 8:12Speaker 1: actually discover that she was pregnant. Yeah, this was one
- 8:14Speaker 1: pregnancy video that you knew was 100% genuine. Like there
- 8:17Speaker 1: was no hamming it up. She was completely shocked. Like
- 8:20Speaker 1: her eyes were so wide. Apparently Hugo was in the
- 8:24Speaker 1: other bathroom and she had to call him in and
- 8:26Speaker 1: he was just not expecting it. But I loved his reaction.
- 8:29Speaker 1: You can tell he just has such a calming effect
- 8:31Speaker 1: on Olivia.
- 8:31Speaker 2: He's like, this is good news.
- 8:33Speaker 1: Well, even though Olivia and Hugo were obviously thrilled by
- 8:36Speaker 1: the news, She did admit on the podcast that they
- 8:38Speaker 1: were both rattled for a couple of weeks after. And
- 8:42Speaker 1: apparently when Olivia told her sister, her first reaction was
- 8:45Speaker 1: to ask how Hugo was because she knows exactly what
- 8:48Speaker 1: he's like. Yeah, Olivia spoke about how Hugo is a
- 8:51Speaker 1: real planner. And that was very evident in the podcast
- 8:53Speaker 1: interview he did with her because he works as a
- 8:56Speaker 1: management consultant and has a background in chemical engineering. So
- 9:00Speaker 1: his job is literally coming into businesses and making them
- 9:03Speaker 1: function better. And you can see he's really structured in
- 9:06Speaker 1: his approach. So Olivia said it's really thrown him that
- 9:08Speaker 1: this pregnancy wasn't planned. Apparently he's taken it in his
- 9:11Speaker 1: stride and has been listening to a parenting book to
- 9:14Speaker 1: prepare himself, which I thought was really sweet. There is
- 9:16Speaker 1: nothing cuter than when you see your husband reading a
- 9:18Speaker 1: parenting book. I remember seeing Dale read Dr. Golly and
- 9:20Speaker 1: I was like, okay, this is good. I do want
- 9:22Speaker 1: to commend Olivia on being so real when she was
- 9:24Speaker 1: talking about having mixed emotions when she found out she
- 9:26Speaker 1: was pregnant, because it's something a lot of us go through.
- 9:29Speaker 1: So She said that during the first two weeks she
- 9:31Speaker 1: felt so scared about her life changing because she loves
- 9:34Speaker 1: her life. And she also spoke about how she was
- 9:36Speaker 1: worried that having a baby would change her relationship with Hugo.
- 9:40Speaker 2: Let's take a listen.
- 9:41Speaker 3: Nervousness also around I love my relationship with Hugo and
- 9:46Speaker 3: I have been like, oh my God, am I going
- 9:48Speaker 3: to burst the bubble with this? But I do think
- 9:51Speaker 3: from all of my close friends who have kids, they
- 9:54Speaker 3: have said if you've got any little niggles or things
- 9:56Speaker 3: that annoy you about the other person, it's like pouring
- 9:59Speaker 3: fuel on them And so they will be exacerbated. But equally,
- 10:03Speaker 3: if you're in a good relationship, it makes you feel
- 10:05Speaker 3: stronger and it gives you this bond that is like
- 10:07Speaker 3: nothing else. So I'm excited about that. I think it's
- 10:11Speaker 3: normal to feel nervous. Like I talk to my psych
- 10:13Speaker 3: a lot about it, nervous about whether or not I'm
- 10:17Speaker 3: going to be good at it. You know, being a
- 10:19Speaker 3: good parent, I think there's so much to learn.
- 10:21Speaker 1: I think that's a hard emotion for people to admit,
- 10:25Speaker 1: especially ones who've struggled to conceive, because you would have
- 10:29Speaker 1: running you.
- 10:30Speaker 2: Through your mind.
- 10:30Speaker 1: I have to be so grateful that this is such
- 10:32Speaker 1: exciting news, but it doesn't mean that Olivia isn't going.
- 10:35Speaker 2: To experience all of those things.
- 10:37Speaker 1: Like she will feel resentful at some stage that maybe
- 10:39Speaker 1: she is looking after the baby more or she will have,
- 10:42Speaker 1: you know, those pangs of missing her old life.
- 10:45Speaker 2: It's just normal.
- 10:46Speaker 1: Well, particularly when it wasn't something that was planned. We
- 10:48Speaker 1: heard Nikki Westcott share a similar sentiment on her podcast.
- 10:52Speaker 1: So it's nice that women feel comfortable enough to talk
- 10:54Speaker 1: about these things. I was keen to hear Olivia's thoughts
- 10:57Speaker 1: on the privacy around her baby because this is something
- 10:59Speaker 1: influencers have to really seriously consider. And she seemed a
- 11:04Speaker 1: bit apprehensive about sharing her baby's face online because She
- 11:07Speaker 1: said she wasn't really sure what she would do. And
- 11:11Speaker 1: one of her friends actually said to her, well, how
- 11:13Speaker 1: would you feel if your baby's face was shared on
- 11:15Speaker 1: the Daily Mail? And she was like, I actually wouldn't
- 11:18Speaker 1: like that at all. I wonder if that came off
- 11:20Speaker 1: the back of her ex-husband, Justin McKeon's birth announcement being
- 11:24Speaker 1: shared in the Daily Mail.
- 11:25Speaker 4: Maybe.
- 11:26Speaker 2: There's something about the Daily Mail.
- 11:27Speaker 1: Like it's, I think it's the comment section. That's the
- 11:30Speaker 1: big issue with it. The people on there are just
- 11:33Speaker 1: so vile.
- 11:34Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 11:34Speaker 1: I mean, she did say that she potentially could change
- 11:36Speaker 1: her mind. I think a lot of people are swayed
- 11:38Speaker 1: when they see their baby and they're just so proud
- 11:39Speaker 1: and like, oh, I want to share them. So she
- 11:42Speaker 1: said she, you know, that could change. It's interesting because
- 11:44Speaker 1: she spoke about how she used to share her niece's
- 11:47Speaker 1: face online up until she was about two and went
- 11:49Speaker 1: to daycare. It seems like at the moment... the general
- 11:53Speaker 1: consensus with influencers is you don't show them at all
- 11:55Speaker 1: or you show them up to two. Have you noticed that? Recently,
- 11:59Speaker 1: Brooke Hogan did the same thing. And obviously Steph Clare Smith,
- 12:02Speaker 1: we've spoken a lot about how she stopped showing Harvey's
- 12:05Speaker 1: face when he was around three. It seems to be
- 12:07Speaker 1: the cutoff. It's really hard because I'm in that predicament
- 12:09Speaker 1: where I've shared my son's face on Instagram and it's
- 12:13Speaker 1: got to that point where I'm like, I don't know
- 12:15Speaker 1: if I want to continue sharing it because you hear
- 12:17Speaker 1: of all these horror stories for.
- 12:19Speaker 2: You know, normal people.
- 12:20Speaker 1: Like it's, And it would be even worse if you
- 12:23Speaker 1: had this massive following because it would attract weirdos. Like,
- 12:27Speaker 1: unfortunately you have to consider like, where is this image
- 12:30Speaker 1: going to turn up?
- 12:31Speaker 2: What can be done to this image?
- 12:32Speaker 1: Is this safe to be putting these identifiable features out there? Yeah.
- 12:36Speaker 1: I also found it fascinating that Olivia said she was
- 12:39Speaker 1: apprehensive about sharing about motherhood and pregnancy in general. And
- 12:43Speaker 1: she mentioned how she was so shocked at the backlash
- 12:46Speaker 1: that Laura Henshaw received after she shared that she wanted
- 12:50Speaker 1: to have an elective cesarean. Well, we actually touched on
- 12:52Speaker 1: that a few weeks ago. So if anyone wants to
- 12:54Speaker 1: hear our thoughts on it, we're pretty passionate about that topic. Yeah,
- 12:57Speaker 1: because I mean, a lot of influencers, once they become mums,
- 13:00Speaker 1: that sort of becomes their niche and they.
- 13:02Speaker 2: Share about that.
- 13:03Speaker 1: So it'll be interesting to see how Olivia's content changes.
- 13:06Speaker 1: And if it just becomes to a point, which I
- 13:08Speaker 1: think it will probably get to where motherhood is so encompassing.
- 13:11Speaker 1: And if your job is an influencer, you are going
- 13:13Speaker 1: to share about that process. I mean, you can do
- 13:15Speaker 1: it without sharing your baby's face. But there is a
- 13:18Speaker 1: lot of judgment, I suppose, that comes with that, that
- 13:20Speaker 1: she is probably wanting to avoid.
- 13:23Speaker 2: Okay, just back to your prediction.
- 13:25Speaker 1: You said that you had a feeling that Hugo might
- 13:27Speaker 1: propose on Christmas Day. Well, it seems like your spidey
- 13:30Speaker 1: senses were tingling for another reason. So this is a
- 13:33Speaker 1: pivotal date for them because Olivia revealed this is the
- 13:37Speaker 1: date they're going to find out the gender of their baby.
- 13:39Speaker 1: That must have been why I was thrown off. It's
- 13:43Speaker 1: pretty cute because Olivia said that She always thought she
- 13:46Speaker 1: wouldn't find out the gender, but because Hugo is such
- 13:49Speaker 1: a planner, he wants to know. So they've come up
- 13:51Speaker 1: with this compromise that they'll find out about the halfway
- 13:53Speaker 1: mark at 20 weeks, which is Christmas Day. I wonder
- 13:57Speaker 1: if they'll share the news with all of us on
- 13:58Speaker 1: Christmas Day or they'll keep it under wraps. Well, wasn't
- 14:01Speaker 1: it Christmas Day or maybe it was Boxing Day where
- 14:03Speaker 1: Olivia a few years ago shared the Olivia edit of
- 14:06Speaker 1: her wedding video? So I wouldn't be surprised if they
- 14:10Speaker 1: dropped the news. Can we have a prediction? Do you
- 14:12Speaker 1: think girl or boy?
- 14:13Speaker 2: I'm going to go girl. Yeah, I was going to
- 14:15Speaker 2: say everyone.
- 14:15Speaker 1: Seems to be having boys that is in our life
- 14:18Speaker 1: at the moment, but I also have a strong feeling
- 14:21Speaker 1: it's going to.
- 14:21Speaker 2: Be a girl. I'm not happy about this. We need
- 14:24Speaker 2: to talk.
- 14:26Speaker 1: Sarah's Day has been accused of misleading her audience following
- 14:29Speaker 1: the launch of her Black Friday sale. The OG fitness
- 14:32Speaker 1: influencer shared her postpartum transformation.
- 14:35Speaker 2: In a video that has now gone viral.
- 14:37Speaker 1: The ad left people questioning whether the transformation featured was
- 14:40Speaker 1: a result from her much-hyped 60-day challenge. I can see
- 14:44Speaker 1: why there was some confusion because Sarah has spoken a
- 14:47Speaker 1: lot about this challenge on her social media and she's
- 14:50Speaker 1: really been targeting it towards postpartum mums like herself. And
- 14:54Speaker 1: the video started off with Sarah showing a close-up of
- 14:57Speaker 1: her freshly postpartum stomach and in the vision she squeezed
- 15:02Speaker 1: and squished the loose skin together and And text then
- 15:05Speaker 1: appeared on the screen that said loading transformation. It then
- 15:09Speaker 1: transitioned to a shot of Sarah showing off her very
- 15:12Speaker 1: toned abs in the mirror.
- 15:14Speaker 2: Now this was a full on.
- 15:15Speaker 1: Body check like she used to do back in the day.
- 15:18Speaker 1: It looked like she was really sucking in and positioning
- 15:20Speaker 1: her body in the most flattering angle possible. And text
- 15:24Speaker 1: appeared on the screen that said up to 30% off
- 15:26Speaker 1: workout programs. Now in the caption, she wrote up to 30%
- 15:30Speaker 1: off workout programs, including body and bump, pregnancy guide, restore
- 15:34Speaker 1: postpartum guide, sweat it to shred it, home workout guide,
- 15:37Speaker 1: and the entire sweat it series. Now, Sarah's 560 challenge
- 15:41Speaker 1: is actually the only challenge that's not on sale. However,
- 15:44Speaker 1: there was a lot of confusion around the video. Someone wrote, wow,
- 15:47Speaker 1: is this the start of your 60 day challenge? To
- 15:49Speaker 1: which Sarah responded, this is after my third baby. Then
- 15:53Speaker 1: another one of her followers chimed in saying, it almost
- 15:56Speaker 1: appears from the way it is edited to insinuate it
- 15:58Speaker 1: is from the start of the challenge. I think transparency
- 16:01Speaker 1: is needed telling audiences exactly how many days, etc. postpartum
- 16:05Speaker 1: those clips were taken as there are some natural looseness
- 16:08Speaker 1: and elasticity that takes some time to return immediately after birth.
- 16:12Speaker 1: There's no denying you're an absolute machine who works very
- 16:15Speaker 1: hard and intentionally, but I think that transparency is key.
- 16:19Speaker 1: Now that comment got 54 likes and Sarah did not
- 16:21Speaker 1: reply to it. I'm actually surprised that that comment is
- 16:24Speaker 1: still on there because most of the time comments like
- 16:26Speaker 1: that get swiftly deleted by Sarah. I mean, for full transparency,
- 16:30Speaker 1: there were a lot of people who claimed that they
- 16:32Speaker 1: were inspired by it. But to be perfectly honest, it
- 16:35Speaker 1: made me feel a little bit sad because these were
- 16:37Speaker 1: women who were postpartum and looking for hope. So someone wrote, wow,
- 16:41Speaker 1: so inspiring. I'm currently three weeks in with my third
- 16:45Speaker 1: baby who might be colicky too. And having this loose
- 16:47Speaker 1: belly skin, it gives me hope. Someone else added, man,
- 16:50Speaker 1: I wish I had as much discipline as you. And
- 16:52Speaker 1: someone else wrote, please adopt me as your mentor and
- 16:55Speaker 1: teach me the MILF ways. I mean, there's no denying
- 16:58Speaker 1: that Sarah looks bloody amazing, but I think what people
- 17:00Speaker 1: need to remember is one, she is a fitness influencer. Two,
- 17:04Speaker 1: she is trying to push a guide. And three, everyone's
- 17:06Speaker 1: bodies are different. So even if you were to do
- 17:09Speaker 1: all of these workout plans, you may still.
- 17:11Speaker 2: Not have Sarah's abs.
- 17:13Speaker 1: And the most disturbing thing, as you mentioned, Kate, is
- 17:15Speaker 1: this is being pushed to really vulnerable postpartum women who
- 17:18Speaker 1: are feeling shit about themselves.
- 17:19Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 17:20Speaker 1: Well, there was a Reddit thread about this promotion and
- 17:23Speaker 1: some women shared how it made them feel. One woman wrote,
- 17:26Speaker 1: I am nine months postpartum and have loose skin, extra
- 17:28Speaker 1: weight and a birth injury. I'm still rehabbing. If I
- 17:31Speaker 1: wasn't in therapy and surrounded by people who are loving, encouraging,
- 17:34Speaker 1: I would be so torn up if I saw this.
- 17:36Speaker 1: And another woman wrote, I unfortunately bought the postpartum workout guide.
- 17:40Speaker 1: I used to blindly follow her. And then while trying
- 17:42Speaker 1: to recover, I was doing these whack exercises that didn't
- 17:45Speaker 1: slowly increase intensity and and cause many issues both physically
- 17:48Speaker 1: and mentally. In a low time in life, I thought
- 17:50Speaker 1: if I did the program, I would look like her
- 17:53Speaker 1: and be fixed. Since getting correct help both physically and mentally,
- 17:57Speaker 1: I've learned how toxic Sarah is. Now, Amy, you are
- 18:00Speaker 1: seven months postpartum. How does this type of content make
- 18:03Speaker 1: you feel? To be honest, when I see content like this,
- 18:06Speaker 1: I do sometimes look at it and go, wow, that
- 18:07Speaker 1: is actually very inspiring.
- 18:09Speaker 2: Yeah, but has it inspired you to do a workout?
- 18:11Speaker 1: No, but that's more of a time factor. Well, that's
- 18:15Speaker 1: the thing it is. You go, oh, I'd love to
- 18:17Speaker 1: have my body look like that. But actually in reality,
- 18:20Speaker 1: I don't have time. I probably am never going to
- 18:22Speaker 1: look like that. But does that make you think, oh, well, Sarah,
- 18:24Speaker 1: she's got three children and she looks like that. You know,
- 18:27Speaker 1: it makes me feel bad that I'm not doing enough.
- 18:29Speaker 1: It's definitely that content where you go like fuck off,
- 18:31Speaker 1: like as if you look like that. And then it
- 18:33Speaker 1: does in turn make you feel pretty shitty. And then
- 18:37Speaker 1: the other thing is then you think, well, should I
- 18:39Speaker 1: buy this? Because it's almost like you're buying a dream.
- 18:41Speaker 1: You're buying hope that you will actually– Maybe look like that.
- 18:46Speaker 1: And that is the problem with this because there's no
- 18:50Speaker 1: nuance there. It's quite misleading in saying, okay, well, I
- 18:53Speaker 1: look like this and now I look like this. So
- 18:54Speaker 1: buy my workout guide. And there's no acknowledgement about the
- 18:57Speaker 1: fact that, well, Sarah is an incredibly wealthy businesswoman who
- 19:02Speaker 1: potentially has a nanny. I mean, she's been open about
- 19:04Speaker 1: the fact that she has a professional babysitter there quite
- 19:07Speaker 1: often to help her with work. It's also a part
- 19:09Speaker 1: of her job to look like that in order to
- 19:11Speaker 1: sell these workout guides. So when she you know, carves
- 19:14Speaker 1: out time to do work, it is working out. So
- 19:17Speaker 1: there are a lot of parts to the story that
- 19:19Speaker 1: are not reflected in this promotion. And I do think
- 19:23Speaker 1: it's misleading. And I feel for impressionable postpartum women who
- 19:27Speaker 1: are being targeted like this to essentially, to at the
- 19:30Speaker 1: end of the day, make money. And a lot of it,
- 19:33Speaker 1: you know, this guide has sold over 2000 copies.
- 19:37Speaker 2: It's made Sarah over $ 300, 000 in revenue.
- 19:41Speaker 1: That's a lot of money we're talking about. I'd love
- 19:43Speaker 1: to hear from people that have done it. I mean,
- 19:45Speaker 1: notice in Sarah's marketing, she doesn't use before and after photos.
- 19:48Speaker 1: That was something Kayla Estinas did. back in the day.
- 19:51Speaker 1: She solely just relies on how her body looks, but
- 19:54Speaker 1: does this actually work for other people's bodies? That's what
- 19:56Speaker 1: I would like to know. Well, I wonder if Sarah
- 19:58Speaker 1: is even still taking part in the 60 day challenge
- 20:00Speaker 1: because a big part of the marketing was that you
- 20:02Speaker 1: were doing this challenge with Sarah, but after doing a
- 20:05Speaker 1: couple of workouts, it's completely dropped off.
- 20:07Speaker 2: Yeah, once the sales have gone through.
- 20:09Speaker 1: The thing I find crazy about some of these influencer
- 20:11Speaker 1: workout guides is, for example, with this one, Sarah made
- 20:14Speaker 1: it pretty clear that these exercises aren't what she does
- 20:17Speaker 1: all the time. So the body she currently has isn't
- 20:19Speaker 1: from doing these workouts. It's from doing other things like
- 20:22Speaker 1: Pilates and going to the gym. Well, and she has
- 20:24Speaker 1: a personal trainer as well. Yeah, but then we're being
- 20:25Speaker 1: sold like, oh, if you do this, you're going to
- 20:27Speaker 1: look like Sarah. Well, no, because Sarah looks like Sarah
- 20:29Speaker 1: because she's done X, Y, and Z. She hasn't just
- 20:31Speaker 1: been doing this guide. On the topic of Sarah, it's
- 20:34Speaker 1: pretty interesting because earlier this week, news.com.au published an article
- 20:38Speaker 1: about Hyro, which is the electrolyte company that she invested
- 20:41Speaker 1: in and has been heavily promoting. And it spoke about
- 20:44Speaker 1: how Hyro is becoming a multi-million dollar company. So according
- 20:48Speaker 1: to the co-owner, Steve Chapman, who was interviewed, the company's
- 20:52Speaker 1: collaboration with Sarah's Day and others have actually propelled the
- 20:55Speaker 1: product forward to be on track to do well north
- 20:58Speaker 1: of $ 10 million in yearly revenue for 2026. Now, Steve
- 21:03Speaker 1: went on to say that when they launched their collaboration
- 21:05Speaker 1: with Sarah, they did multiple six-figure days, which were their
- 21:09Speaker 1: biggest days by far at the time. However, he's expecting
- 21:12Speaker 1: to beat it this Black Friday. Now, in saying that,
- 21:16Speaker 1: prior to the Black Friday sales, Sarah's Hyro flavor was
- 21:19Speaker 1: actually being sold for half the price, despite originally the
- 21:23Speaker 1: company sparking fears that it would instantly sell out back
- 21:26Speaker 1: in August off the back of their campaign. Whenever I
- 21:29Speaker 1: see figures like this mentioned in news articles, I always
- 21:33Speaker 1: take them with a grain of salt because it's good
- 21:35Speaker 1: for Hyro to be quoting these type of figures. We
- 21:38Speaker 1: haven't actually seen any proof that they've made that money,
- 21:41Speaker 1: not to say they haven't, but They want to get
- 21:43Speaker 1: back on their investment with Sarah's Day. So by promoting
- 21:46Speaker 1: their business as earning X amount, they're going to get
- 21:49Speaker 1: more investors on board and there's going to be more
- 21:50Speaker 1: interest in this business. Well, they've been pretty open about
- 21:53Speaker 1: the fact that they're looking for investors. Their plan over
- 21:55Speaker 1: the next five years is to build the business into
- 21:57Speaker 1: a $ 100 million company. So that's exactly what they're doing
- 22:01Speaker 1: with this PR. But I mean, when you zoom out
- 22:03Speaker 1: and look at the full picture and the reality is
- 22:05Speaker 1: that they didn't sell as well as they thought for
- 22:07Speaker 1: Sarah's collaboration because they've been flogging it off for 50%
- 22:10Speaker 1: off before Black Friday. Now let's get into our Friday
- 22:13Speaker 1: influencer dump and we're going to kick things off with
- 22:16Speaker 1: Nadia Bartel, one of my favorites.
- 22:18Speaker 2: So she has.
- 22:19Speaker 1: Opened up about plans to grow her family and this
- 22:22Speaker 1: is with her long-term boyfriend, Peter Dugmore. So the 40-year-old
- 22:26Speaker 1: told the Stella podcast the couple have undergone the process
- 22:29Speaker 1: of freezing embryos.
- 22:30Speaker 2: And would like to start trying to conceive this year.
- 22:32Speaker 1: I can't believe she's 40.
- 22:34Speaker 2: It blows my mind.
- 22:35Speaker 1: When Bec Judd turned 40, it kind of took me
- 22:37Speaker 1: back because I I just think of her back in
- 22:39Speaker 1: the day when she was 21 on the red carpet
- 22:42Speaker 1: in that red dress at the Brownlow. It's crazy to
- 22:44Speaker 1: think that Nadia and Beck have been in the public
- 22:47Speaker 1: eye for so long now.
- 22:48Speaker 2: Yeah, and it makes you realize.
- 22:49Speaker 1: That 40 is not old at all. Now, Nadia went
- 22:52Speaker 1: on to tell Stella that the plan is for them
- 22:54Speaker 1: to try and conceive naturally, but it is comforting to
- 22:57Speaker 1: know that they've got the embryos as well. Yeah, well,
- 22:59Speaker 1: Nadia already has two sons with her ex, Jimmy Bartell.
- 23:03Speaker 1: a seven-year-old and a 10-year-old who are very cute. One
- 23:06Speaker 1: of them looks exactly like Jimmy Bartell, which would be really–
- 23:09Speaker 1: I always thought, would that be difficult for Nadia to
- 23:11Speaker 1: be constantly reminded of her ex-husband who cheated on her?
- 23:14Speaker 1: I mean, poor kid.
- 23:15Speaker 2: It's not his fault.
- 23:16Speaker 1: I know.
- 23:16Speaker 2: I feel like it would be pretty shit.
- 23:18Speaker 1: I don't know if you saw these rumours, Kate, in September,
- 23:20Speaker 1: but a lot of people thought that Nadia– and Peter
- 23:22Speaker 1: had got engaged. And this was because she was seen
- 23:24Speaker 1: leaving a Melbourne bridal store with a big dress bag.
- 23:28Speaker 1: But the rumors were squashed the next day when she
- 23:30Speaker 1: appeared at a charity event in this designer's outfit. But
- 23:34Speaker 1: this was off the back of her telling the Daily
- 23:36Speaker 1: Mail that Peter was the one.
- 23:37Speaker 2: So a lot of people are like, oh my God,
- 23:38Speaker 2: they must be getting married.
- 23:40Speaker 1: I would love to see Nadia Bartel get married again.
- 23:42Speaker 1: I was obsessed with her look when she got married
- 23:44Speaker 1: to Jimmy Bartel. But I think from a style sense,
- 23:46Speaker 1: she's even gone up a notch, particularly since she's launched
- 23:49Speaker 1: her very successful clothing brand Henny. So it'd be so
- 23:52Speaker 1: interesting to see what she did with her look, the bridesmaids,
- 23:55Speaker 1: all of the styling of the event. Yeah, I would
- 23:57Speaker 1: definitely love to see it. She was actually quizzed by
- 23:59Speaker 1: the Daily Mail this month about a potential wedding. And
- 24:02Speaker 1: she told them, I'd rather be with someone that respects.
- 24:05Speaker 2: Me and cares about me than get married again. Clearly
- 24:08Speaker 2: a subtle swipe at Jimmy.
- 24:11Speaker 1: I mean, if they're planning on having a baby together...
- 24:14Speaker 1: I would imagine that a wedding may be on the cards.
- 24:17Speaker 1: Perhaps she's just waiting for Peter to propose. I didn't
- 24:21Speaker 1: actually know that much about Peter. So I did a
- 24:23Speaker 1: deep dive and he used to play football and he's
- 24:26Speaker 1: now a model. So he's actually super hot. And he
- 24:29Speaker 1: slid into Nadia's DMs in 2022. And Nadia said in
- 24:32Speaker 1: this interview that she didn't normally respond to private messages
- 24:35Speaker 1: on Instagram, especially from people she didn't know. But she
- 24:38Speaker 1: made an exception because Peter looked really nice on his
- 24:41Speaker 1: Instagram and And he also didn't have too many photos
- 24:43Speaker 1: of himself. Oh, that is always a good sign. I mean,
- 24:46Speaker 1: no photo with a fish, tick. Not too many selfies, tick. Amy,
- 24:50Speaker 1: when you mentioned that Peter played football, I was like,
- 24:52Speaker 1: did he? So I quickly did a live Google while
- 24:54Speaker 1: you were talking. It wasn't at an AFL level. It
- 24:57Speaker 1: seems more of a local level, potentially VFL.
- 25:00Speaker 2: I think that's even more appealing, to be honest.
- 25:03Speaker 1: Yeah, because the VFL players actually have to have jobs
- 25:05Speaker 1: outside of footy. So they seem to be more well-rounded
- 25:09Speaker 1: and normal, more normal. Millie Court is reportedly set to
- 25:13Speaker 1: join the new series of Love Island All Stars UK.
- 25:17Speaker 1: The 29-year-old, who won the 2021 season with former boyfriend Liam,
- 25:21Speaker 1: is set to enter the villa.
- 25:23Speaker 2: When the show starts in January.
- 25:25Speaker 1: What makes this extra juicy is the fact that Millie
- 25:27Speaker 1: and Liam only broke up in September this year. And
- 25:30Speaker 1: it's not the first time they've broken up. So a
- 25:33Speaker 1: couple of years ago, they broke up and got back together. Now,
- 25:37Speaker 1: after the most recent breakup, it was widely tipped that
- 25:40Speaker 1: Liam would join the All-Star Series. Now that Millie has
- 25:43Speaker 1: been named as a contestant, people are even more certain
- 25:47Speaker 1: we're going to see both of them on the show. Well,
- 25:49Speaker 1: Millie really opened up on her YouTube recently, and she
- 25:52Speaker 1: said that she was keen to settle down and spoke
- 25:54Speaker 1: about her fears of being left behind. Let's have a
- 25:57Speaker 1: listen to what she said.
- 25:59Speaker 4: I feel like as you get older, it's only natural
- 26:02Speaker 4: that you start to feel like your time's running out.
- 26:07Speaker 4: And I feel like especially at my age now, I
- 26:10Speaker 4: have friends who are engaged. I have a friend who
- 26:15Speaker 4: is married, like my best friends who I've been friends.
- 26:18Speaker 2: With for nearly 10 years, whatever.
- 26:20Speaker 4: I only actually have one other friend who is single.
- 26:27Speaker 1: I think if Millie and Liam enter the villa this year,
- 26:29Speaker 1: it is going to be an unmissable series because neither
- 26:32Speaker 1: of them will hold back. They've also got the history
- 26:35Speaker 1: of being on a podcast together where they've had other
- 26:37Speaker 1: Love Island contestants on. So it's going to be even
- 26:41Speaker 1: more awkward if one starts hooking up with one of
- 26:43Speaker 1: the contestants that they both know. I wonder if Millie
- 26:47Speaker 1: has spoken to the producers and said, look, I'll be
- 26:49Speaker 1: on the show if Liam's not on it because I
- 26:53Speaker 1: know that's happened in the past. Ek and Sue had
- 26:55Speaker 1: it in a contract that Davide couldn't be on it.
- 26:57Speaker 1: I'm hoping they haven't agreed to it because it's just
- 26:59Speaker 1: fucking boring unless they put the X back in. A
- 27:01Speaker 1: lot of people were actually saying, well, I don't want
- 27:03Speaker 1: to watch it this year because the show is just
- 27:05Speaker 1: going to turn into X on the beach. I mean,
- 27:07Speaker 1: I don't know what they're talking about. Like turn it
- 27:09Speaker 1: more into X on the beach. Put more of their
- 27:12Speaker 1: Xs in. Yeah, I mean, one of the appealing things
- 27:13Speaker 1: about the All-Star Series is that we know behind the
- 27:16Speaker 1: scenes all the contestants from different series have hooked up
- 27:19Speaker 1: and they all know each other and they're all connected somehow.
- 27:23Speaker 1: And then we get to see how that unfolds on screen.
- 27:26Speaker 1: Former block contestants turned business moguls, Alyssa and Lysandra were
- 27:30Speaker 1: involved in an awkward exchange on the YouBeauty podcast. So
- 27:34Speaker 1: the twins were being interviewed about their $ 32 million business
- 27:37Speaker 1: empire alive, as.
- 27:39Speaker 2: Well as their time on the block.
- 27:40Speaker 1: When mid-interview, the host confessed she only just realized they
- 27:44Speaker 1: were twins.
- 27:45Speaker 2: Let's have a listen.
- 27:46Speaker 4: When I was four, I reckon she kicked a It's
- 27:49Speaker 4: either she kicked me in mum's womb. Four. You guys
- 27:51Speaker 4: have no need to.
- 27:52Speaker 1: Oh, you sister.
- 27:53Speaker 4: Oh, my God.
- 27:53Speaker 2: We're fucking twins. That is so funny. That is so funny.
- 28:00Speaker 4: Do you know, I actually.
- 28:01Speaker 2: Were you not sitting there going, oh, they at least
- 28:04Speaker 2: look like sisters? I was like, they look very similar.
- 28:07Speaker 4: And earlier when we were talking about that, I was like, oh,
- 28:10Speaker 4: they've both.
- 28:11Speaker 2: Got such beautiful eyes. I just thought you were really close.
- 28:17Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 28:19Speaker 1: I feel like I look like heaps of my friends.
- 28:22Speaker 2: No, I do get that. That's true. You're identical, are you?
- 28:25Speaker 4: Yeah, we are. Oh. Yeah.
- 28:27Speaker 2: That's so funny.
- 28:29Speaker 4: That's why I was just like best friends that just
- 28:30Speaker 4: somehow ended up in the same. Oh, wow.
- 28:35Speaker 2: And you said we're both 41.
- 28:36Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 28:38Speaker 2: So that also, I was like, oh, see, besties.
- 28:41Speaker 4: Or twins.
- 28:42Speaker 1: Or twins.
- 28:43Speaker 2: Not born from the same womb on the same day.
- 28:47Speaker 1: I was pretty shocked when I saw this clip on
- 28:49Speaker 1: social media. I was like, oh my God. It's pretty
- 28:51Speaker 1: common knowledge that Lysandra and Alyssa are twins.
- 28:55Speaker 2: I mean, they were known as the twins from the block.
- 28:58Speaker 2: How do you miss that?
- 28:59Speaker 1: And the fact that they look identical. I mean, I
- 29:01Speaker 1: know they've got different hairstyles, but come on. And throughout
- 29:04Speaker 1: the interview, they were finishing one another's sentences. They even
- 29:07Speaker 1: both said that they were 41.
- 29:09Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 29:09Speaker 1: Well, she goes, oh, I just thought you guys were friends.
- 29:11Speaker 1: You know, friends are usually the same age.
- 29:13Speaker 2: One of them was like, we're fucking twins.
- 29:17Speaker 1: Yeah. Well, they actually ended up cutting this segment from
- 29:20Speaker 1: the podcast episode, but I suppose the producers probably saw
- 29:23Speaker 1: how hilarious it was and thought this is going to
- 29:25Speaker 1: go viral. So they kind of threw the host under
- 29:27Speaker 1: the bus there, but she was getting amongst the comments
- 29:30Speaker 1: and laughing at herself.
- 29:31Speaker 2: I mean, that's all you could do because it was
- 29:33Speaker 2: pretty embarrassing.
- 29:33Speaker 1: This reminds me, this is like a humble brag of
- 29:35Speaker 1: when we met Taylor Swift and she was like, so
- 29:38Speaker 1: how do you guys know each other?
