John 10:2 “But he who enters by the door is a shepherd of the sheep.” Here, Jesus reflects on the entrance to the fold. The shepherd has access to the sheep fold. Jesus was saying that He has access to God. It’s another way of saying, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father but by Me” (John 14:6). The Pharisees considered themselves shepherds, the leaders of the people. Yet, here they were unable to see the way into God’s fold.
