- 0:00Leviticus chapter 6. Let us pray.
- 0:03We thank you, Lord, for today. We thank you for waking us up.
- 0:06We thank you for putting us on our feet.
- 0:07We thank you for clean drinking water.
- 0:09God, we thank you for the food that you've given us.
- 0:12Thank you for our bodies, Lord. We thank you for our minds,
- 0:15Lord. We thank you for our families,
- 0:18for our children, for our spouses.
- 0:20Lord, we thank you, Father, that you love us to the utmost.
- 0:24You love us well Father, And so Lord, help us to understand your
- 0:29ways. Help us to lock in.
- 0:31Help us to know that you're fighting our battles.
- 0:33Help us to know that Jesus is enough.
- 0:35In Jesus name we pray, Amen. Let's start in verse one.
- 0:40And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying, If the soul sins and
- 0:44commits A trespass against the Lord, and.
- 1:02Lies unto his neighbor in that which he which was delivered him
- 1:07to keep, or a fellowship, or in a thing taken away by violence,
- 1:11Or has deceived his neighbor Three.
- 1:13Or has found that which was lost, and lies concerning it,
- 1:18and swears falsely in any of all these that a man does, sinning
- 1:23therein. 4 Then it shall be because he has sinned and is
- 1:28guilty that he shall restore that which he took violently
- 1:32away, or the thing which he has deceitfully gotten, or that
- 1:35which was delivered him to keep, or the lost thing which he
- 1:39found. 5 Or all that which about he had sworn falsely.
- 1:45He shall even restore it in the principle, and shall add the 5th
- 1:50part more thereto, and give it unto him to whom it appertaineth
- 1:56in the day of his trespass offering.
- 1:59So he willingly crossed the line, He got convicted over it,
- 2:04he pays it back, and he adds 20% to it.
- 2:07Praise God, 6 And he shall bring his trespass offering unto the
- 2:12Lord, a ram without blemish out of the flock, with your
- 2:16estimation for a trespass offering unto the priest. 7 And
- 2:20the priest shall make an atonement for him before the
- 2:23Lord, and it shall be forgiven him for anything of all that he
- 2:27has done in trespassing therein. So here you can see that God
- 2:32takes it serious whenever we will steal from somebody, when
- 2:38we will deceitfully lie to somebody, God does not take it
- 2:43lightly and it must be dealt with.
- 2:45And God wants you to understand that all of your sins can be
- 2:49forgiven in Christ Jesus. But beyond that, friends, once
- 2:54you have given your life to Jesus, you must do the things
- 2:59that He's asking you to do, friends, and live the way that
- 3:02God is asking us to live. And that will reveal the reality
- 3:07that Jesus is Lord over your life and He wasn't just a ticket
- 3:11out of hell. Friends, you need to understand
- 3:15that when Jesus is Lord, you will want to do the things that
- 3:19He asked you to do. Abide in Him, and He and you
- 3:22ate. And the Lord spoke unto Moses,
- 3:24saying, Non command Aaron and his son, saying, This is the law
- 3:28of the burnt offering. It is the burnt offering because
- 3:31of the burning upon the altar all night unto the morning, and
- 3:35the fire of the altar shall be burning in it.
- 3:39So you need to know that the fire on the altar never burns
- 3:42out, Friends, when you have the Holy Spirit living inside of
- 3:46you, friends, it is only increasing, never decreasing.
- 3:50Friends, you need to know that God's Holy Spirit dwells inside
- 3:55of us and we keep that fire burning.
- 3:58Don't let it go out. Make sure you are filling your
- 4:00lamps. Make sure you're trimming your
- 4:03Wicks. Make sure that you're filling
- 4:05the oil of the Holy Spirit in your life and let it burn
- 4:08brightly. Don't hide it under a bushel.
- 4:11Don't grieve the Holy Spirit. Don't.
- 4:13Friends, you need to know that He is worthy of you keeping it
- 4:18burning. 10 And the priest shall put on his linen garment and his
- 4:23linen breeches, and he shall put upon his flesh and take up the
- 4:27ashes which the fire has consumed with the burnt offering
- 4:31on the altar, and he shall put them beside the altar. 11 And he
- 4:35shall put off his garments, and put on the other garments, and
- 4:38carry forth the ashes outside the camp unto a clean place.
- 4:42So here you can see that the priests are to take all of the
- 4:47nasty, disgusting things out of way, and we know that Jesus was
- 4:53sacrificed. Jesus hung on the cross outside
- 4:57of the city. 12 In the fire upon the altar shall be burning in
- 5:02it, and it shall not be put out. And the priest shall burn wood
- 5:06on it every morning and lay the burnt offering and order upon
- 5:10it, and he shall burn there on the fat of the peace offerings.
- 5:1413 in the fire shall ever be burning upon the altar.
- 5:17It shall never go out. Friends Maze, look at that,
- 5:21friends. You see this perpetual need of
- 5:27keeping the fire kindled and blowing upon it, friends And we
- 5:31have to ask the Lord God to light the fire and ask the Lord
- 5:35God to help us not to let it burn out.
- 5:40It's available to us. We have to make sure that we
- 5:45actively participate in keeping it going.
- 5:51You can grieve the Spirit and mourn him.
- 5:57And that is how the five foolish virgins let their oil go out.
- 6:04They didn't have let their fire go out.
- 6:06They didn't have enough oil and they were begging for oil.
- 6:11But the oil is the Holy Spirit, and we keep the Holy Spirit
- 6:15inside and we keep him lit and full, Friends, by getting into
- 6:23the Word, by studying God's Word, by not choosing the candy,
- 6:29not choosing the polluted rotten meat, not choosing the toxic
- 6:34poison, but actually choosing to link up with the oil that is
- 6:39forever flowing. It comes from a source that is
- 6:44never ending. It never dries up, friends.
- 6:47It is Jesus, and Jesus is behind the wall, and he's giving us the
- 6:53Holy Spirit in as much quantity as we empty ourselves of
- 6:58ourselves, and he fills us with the Holy Spirit. 14 And this is
- 7:03the law of the meat offering of the sons of Aaron.
- 7:06Shall offer it before the Lord, before the altar. 15 And he
- 7:11shall take of his handful of the flour of the meat offerings, of
- 7:15the oil thereof, and the frankincense which is upon the
- 7:18meat offerings, and shall burn it upon the altar for a sweet
- 7:22savour, even the memorial of it unto the Lord.
- 7:26So you can see here that we've made full circle here, and we
- 7:31went from a sweet savour unto God, and having communion with
- 7:37God into sin and trespass. And here we've come full circle,
- 7:42and now we're mixing oil and frankincense back in with the
- 7:45flour, friends, and it is pleasing unto the Lord God.
- 7:51It is a sweet savor. 16 And the remainder thereof shall Aaron
- 7:56and his sons eat with unleavened bread shall it be eaten in the
- 8:00holy place, at the court of the Tabernacle of the congregation?
- 8:04They shall eat it. So here you get to see how God
- 8:07takes care of his people. And I've never seen the
- 8:10righteous begging for bread. And here God's taking care of
- 8:14the priests that are sold out unto him.
- 8:17They don't care about land, they don't care about any of the
- 8:20money. All they care about is God.
- 8:23And God takes care of them. And he brings the people there,
- 8:27and he gives them bulls, and he gives them lamb, and he gives
- 8:30them this flour to make unleavened bread.
- 8:34And they are full, and satisfied, and satiated. 17 It
- 8:38shall not be baked with leaven. And I give it unto them, for
- 8:41their portion of my offerings made by fire.
- 8:44It is most holy, as is the sin offering and the trespass
- 8:48offering. 18 And the males among the children of Aaron shall eat
- 8:53of it. It shall be a statute forever in
- 8:56your generations concerning the offerings of the Lord made by
- 9:00fire. Everyone that touches them shall
- 9:02be holy. Here you need to understand
- 9:07this. Holy is set apart.
- 9:09Holy is not a common thing. Holy is completely towards our
- 9:18Lord God Almighty. There is no duplicity.
- 9:22It is set apart. It is completely separate from
- 9:30our common objects and common meals. 19 And the Lord spoke
- 9:37unto Moses, saying, 20 This is the offering of Aaron and his
- 9:41sons, which they shall offer unto the Lord in the day when he
- 9:44is anointed. The 10th part of an epal fine
- 9:48flour for meat offering perpetual half of it in the
- 9:51morning, half at night. 21 In a pan shall it be made with oil
- 9:56when it is baked, and it shall bring it in, And the baked
- 9:59pieces of the meat offering shall you offer for a sweet
- 10:03savour unto the Lord. 22 and the priest of his sons that is
- 10:09anointed, and instead shall offer it.
- 10:11It is a statute forever unto the Lord.
- 10:14It shall be completely burnt. For every meat offering for the
- 10:18priest shall be completely burnt.
- 10:21It shall not be eaten. So here we see God's portion
- 10:25just completely burnt up. It's not to be kept over, it's
- 10:30not to be enjoyed. It is for God, Let it have it.
- 10:3524 And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying, Speak unto Aaron
- 10:39to his son, saying, This is the law of the sin offering.
- 10:42In the place where the burnt offering is killed, shall the
- 10:45sin offering be killed before the Lord?
- 10:48It is most holy. 26 And the priest that offers it for sin
- 10:53shall eat it in the holy place. It shall be eaten in the court
- 10:57of the Tabernacle of the congregation.
- 10:59So here is their part. They actually get to eat.
- 11:04God takes care of us. 27 Whatsoever shall touch the flesh
- 11:08thereof shall be holy, and when there is sprinkled of the blood
- 11:12thereof upon any garment, you shall wash that whereon it was
- 11:16sprinkled in the holy place. 28 But the earth vessels where it
- 11:21is sodden shall be broken, and if it be sodden in a brass pot,
- 11:26it shall be both scoured and rinsed in water. 29 And if the
- 11:30males among the priests shall eat of it, it is most holy will
- 11:34end on. 30 And no sin offering where of any of the blood is
- 11:39brought into the Tabernacle of the congregation, to reconcile
- 11:44with all in the holy place shall be, and it shall be burnt with
- 11:49fire. It's God's portion.
- 11:52They are not to try to cover over sin with these sacrifices,
- 11:56and then turn around and enjoy them at the same time.
- 12:01That was for the peace offering, Francis.
- 12:04They can enjoy things that were not for the sin or for
- 12:08trespassing, but they were not to enjoy the things that were
- 12:17meant for God and for the atonement.
- 12:21They were not two friends. They could enjoy this peace
- 12:26offering, but do not enjoy the trespass or the sin offering.
- 12:30There is no enjoyment in sin and trespassing.
- 12:35It might be for a season, but it'll always catch up with you.
- 12:39And you need to know that Jesus is enough, and Jesus is the key,
- 12:43and Jesus is the King, and Jesus is our everything, and we need
- 12:48to worship Him today. And however he asks you to come
- 12:53to him, that is how you come to him.
- 12:55And today we come to him by the blood of the Lamb and the word
- 12:59of the testimony. And we do not love our lives so
- 13:02much as to shrink from death. I pray that you've been blessed
- 13:06by this amazing chapter in God's Word.
- 13:08I know I sure have. I'm praying for every single one
- 13:11of you. I love you and we'll see you
- 13:13back here tomorrow. God bless you.
