- 0:01Speaker 1: You're listening to Bill Handle on demand from kf I
- 0:04Speaker 1: am six forty, So.
- 0:17Speaker 2: Hi am six forty Bill Handle here on a momentous Monday,
- 0:22Speaker 2: March second, and we got so much to cover. We're
- 0:25Speaker 2: gonna try something new at eight thirty, by the way,
- 0:28Speaker 2: and we're gonna this is a perfect time for doing this.
- 0:32Speaker 1: We're gonna do retro talk.
- 0:34Speaker 2: Radio the way talk radio used to be very different
- 0:37Speaker 2: than today, and that is taking your phone calls, your
- 0:41Speaker 2: opinion on all of this.
- 0:43Speaker 1: What say you, Los Angeles?
- 0:44Speaker 2: And as Neil pointed this out, and so you come in,
- 0:49Speaker 2: you start talking, and this is the way talk radio
- 0:52Speaker 2: was and used to be and kind of happened.
- 0:55Speaker 1: And so I'll talk more about that at a thirty.
- 0:57Speaker 1: That's gonna be fun.
- 0:58Speaker 2: And if you don't have a chance to listen at
- 1:00Speaker 2: a thirty, podcast it you can podcast any part of
- 1:04Speaker 2: our show or any show here on KFI. Just go
- 1:07Speaker 2: to the iHeartRadio app and you can go to the
- 1:11Speaker 2: podcast part of it and listen, particularly at eight thirty today.
- 1:14Speaker 2: It's gonna be fun. Something you've never heard on this
- 1:16Speaker 2: show in all the years I've been doing this program. Okay, now,
- 1:20Speaker 2: the attack on Iran over the weekend. I can't even
- 1:24Speaker 2: scratch the surface as to the layers of the attack.
- 1:31Speaker 2: There are so many, as I said, moving pieces, and
- 1:35Speaker 2: they're trying to unload the information on CNN and Fox
- 1:40Speaker 2: and BBCs covering it. We've you know, for example, the
- 1:46Speaker 2: question was this and eminent? Were we under the possibility
- 1:51Speaker 2: of an eminent attack? Okay, you have the Democrat by
- 1:54Speaker 2: the way, the Democrats and the Republicans almost in lockstep.
- 1:59Speaker 2: Republican backing the president, the Democrats arguing against the president.
- 2:06Speaker 1: I don't know how many people.
- 2:08Speaker 2: Why is it that virtually everybody in their party backs
- 2:13Speaker 2: the president and or attacks the president.
- 2:15Speaker 1: No one can have mixed feelings about this.
- 2:17Speaker 2: There's no such scene as a Republican that is pro abortion,
- 2:22Speaker 2: or a republic or a Democrat that is anti abortion.
- 2:27Speaker 1: It just doesn't exist.
- 2:28Speaker 2: And I think you're seeing the same thing pan out
- 2:31Speaker 2: with the war, this attack on Iran. So the Democrats
- 2:35Speaker 2: are arguing I saw Adam Shift being interviewed over the
- 2:38Speaker 2: weekend that there was no eminent threat to the United
- 2:42Speaker 2: States And if you look under the War Powers Act
- 2:46Speaker 2: and the Constitution, and therein lies a whole controversy which
- 2:50Speaker 2: I hope I'll have time to deal with And that
- 2:53Speaker 2: is the big one, no eminent attack that was contemplated.
- 2:59Speaker 1: Iran was not a threat to the United States.
- 3:02Speaker 2: Okay, Now I analyze or analogize this to what happened
- 3:07Speaker 2: in Europe in nineteen thirty eight with Hitler. Let's just
- 3:11Speaker 2: let it happen, let's not deal with it. And you
- 3:14Speaker 2: have Iran that is the state sponsor of terrorist groups
- 3:20Speaker 2: all over the world. They pay for it. They give
- 3:25Speaker 2: money and arms to Hamas, to Hasballah, to the Hohu.
- 3:28Speaker 2: This it's said, they're the Western world is at risk
- 3:33Speaker 2: because we take attacks.
- 3:36Speaker 1: I mean, look at.
- 3:36Speaker 2: How life has changed because of the of the possibility
- 3:40Speaker 2: of terrorist attacks. Look at how we get on airplanes. Now,
- 3:45Speaker 2: look at how during the Olympics, a zillion dollars is
- 3:50Speaker 2: probably the biggest expense of security because of the fear
- 3:53Speaker 2: of terrorist attacks. And so here is Iran pushing it
- 3:58Speaker 2: like crazy. Okay, that's one, Okay, death of a thousand cuts.
- 4:03Speaker 2: We're not under eminent attack because this is bits and
- 4:05Speaker 2: pieces and it just keeps on growing, growing, or reducing.
- 4:09Speaker 2: And then the other issue is the nuclear capabilities. Now,
- 4:13Speaker 2: this one's kind of strange because the president has gone
- 4:16Speaker 2: from we've obliterated the nuclear capability, nuclear war capability, nuclear
- 4:21Speaker 2: weapons capability of Iran, and now we haven't, and now
- 4:25Speaker 2: we are attacking the nuclear capability. And here is Iran
- 4:31Speaker 2: saying the enrichment of Iranian is simply for peaceful purposes,
- 4:36Speaker 2: that's all they want. Do you think they really need nukes?
- 4:39Speaker 2: They are a wash in oil, They are floating on oil.
- 4:44Speaker 2: They need peaceful uses of nuke, like I need another
- 4:49Speaker 2: hole in my body. Yeah, I'm trying to do that
- 4:53Speaker 2: without I've got to be No, I've got to be
- 4:57Speaker 2: very careful about that because the language. Hey, the language,
- 5:00Speaker 2: the language anyway. So and they say only peaceful purposes, well,
- 5:05Speaker 2: I mean the bottom line is peaceful purposes. You need
- 5:08Speaker 2: to enrich uranium for a nuclear power plant, about three
- 5:11Speaker 2: point seven enrichment percent. They were It takes in the
- 5:15Speaker 2: nineties to make nuclear capability. They were already I think
- 5:20Speaker 2: in the seventies eighties percent they are building an atomic weapon.
- 5:26Speaker 1: They are building.
- 5:27Speaker 2: I mean, I don't think anybody has any doubt because
- 5:30Speaker 2: they don't want the International Atomic Energy Commission going in
- 5:37Speaker 2: and reporting on and investigating. No, No, we don't want them
- 5:40Speaker 2: in there, but we only have We're only interested in
- 5:43Speaker 2: peaceful uses of this nuclear energy or nuclear enrichment. And
- 5:49Speaker 2: so does anybody have any doubts that they're building a
- 5:51Speaker 2: nuclear weapon? I don't know how many countries do. So
- 5:54Speaker 2: do we wait until they have the bomb? Yeah, let's
- 5:58Speaker 2: wait because we're not under in an attack. Do you
- 6:02Speaker 2: prophylactically allow Iran to have that bomb? Well, Israel says,
- 6:08Speaker 2: really simply the United States? Well, Trump says, the US
- 6:13Speaker 2: and the Western world cannot let Iran have the bomb.
- 6:16Speaker 2: He said that clearly. The President said, we cannot let
- 6:19Speaker 2: them have it. So what do we do? No eminent
- 6:22Speaker 2: threat to the United States? When when does it become eminent?
- 6:26Speaker 1: When they have it? And Israel lays it right out.
- 6:31Speaker 2: If they come close to it, Israel is going to
- 6:33Speaker 2: attack Iran. And in fact, Israel did join the United
- 6:36Speaker 2: States in this attack. So was there a reason for
- 6:42Speaker 2: the attack?
- 6:42Speaker 1: Hell?
- 6:43Speaker 2: Yes, I believe so. On the other hand, was there
- 6:47Speaker 2: a reason not to engage in the attack?
- 6:50Speaker 1: Hell? Yes. Oh.
- 6:52Speaker 2: By the way, the president is supposed to speak, we
- 6:55Speaker 2: have that right hand. The President is supposed to spak
- 6:57Speaker 2: at eight o'clock. We're going to start with his comments
- 7:03Speaker 2: his press conference. However, from what I understand, it is
- 7:07Speaker 2: the bestowing of the Congressional Medal of Honor to people.
- 7:11Speaker 2: Have you noticed that the President is handing out the
- 7:14Speaker 2: Medal of Honor the way we hand out candy at
- 7:19Speaker 2: Halloween is going rather quickly.
- 7:22Speaker 1: A lot of people are getting it.
- 7:23Speaker 2: Here's a quick word about the medal of Oh I
- 7:25Speaker 2: got so much to cover the Medal of Honor. Okay,
- 7:29Speaker 2: it is so rarely bestowed that it is such a big,
- 7:34Speaker 2: big deal, even to the point, and I don't know
- 7:37Speaker 2: if you knew this that if a soldier, even a private,
- 7:41Speaker 2: wearing his medal or it would so far his medal
- 7:46Speaker 2: if the joint chiefs of Staff, if a forced are
- 7:50Speaker 2: general is in front of that soldier, the general salutes
- 7:59Speaker 2: the Medal of honor. It's that big a deal. And
- 8:03Speaker 2: now they're going to be so many handed out that
- 8:05Speaker 2: these generals will need elbow replacements, surgery because it's just
- 8:10Speaker 2: going crazy.
- 8:11Speaker 1: Okay, so we'll start that at eight o'clock.
- 8:13Speaker 2: See if it's only the metal being given out, and
- 8:16Speaker 2: then we're going to bail out of that. Now more
- 8:20Speaker 2: a for what happened the War Powers Act versus the Constitution.
- 8:25Speaker 1: Big big deal.
- 8:26Speaker 2: And this is what the Democrats are really putting all
- 8:32Speaker 2: of the pressure on the presidency and the attack. And
- 8:37Speaker 2: that is no one is saying that Iran really bad guys,
- 8:42Speaker 2: that it wasn't okay to kill Hamani, the head, han Sho,
- 8:47Speaker 2: the Supreme Leader, or a huge number of the hierarchy.
- 8:52Speaker 1: The issue is the War Powers Act.
- 8:55Speaker 2: Now starting with the Constitution itself, and this is where
- 8:59Speaker 2: you have the Republicans and Pete Hegseth and the President saying,
- 9:04Speaker 2: if you look at Article one, the power to declare
- 9:08Speaker 2: war is only given to Congress. Congress declares war. However,
- 9:14Speaker 2: the President, as commander in chief, is given the authority
- 9:20Speaker 2: to direct the military once hostilities have begun.
- 9:24Speaker 1: And here we go.
- 9:25Speaker 2: The argument is war imminent because that is a defensive posture,
- 9:30Speaker 2: and the President is saying what we did is defensive
- 9:32Speaker 2: and I agree. And so the framers intended the president
- 9:36Speaker 2: to have the authority to repel sudden attacks, no attacks
- 9:41Speaker 2: or yes, we're looking at the possibility of attacks without
- 9:44Speaker 2: a formal declaration of war. So now you have the
- 9:48Speaker 2: War Powers Act. Oh, Congress has formally declared war eleven
- 9:53Speaker 2: times in the history of the United States five separate conflicts.
- 9:56Speaker 2: You know, the last time Congress declared war was December eighth,
- 10:01Speaker 2: nineteen forty one, the day after Pearl Harbor. Was the
- 10:05Speaker 2: last time war was declared by this country. And so
- 10:09Speaker 2: what happened is in recent decades, Congress used the authorizations
- 10:14Speaker 2: for the use of military force instead of formal declarations
- 10:18Speaker 2: to sanction military action. Read Vietnam, the war in Cambodia.
- 10:25Speaker 2: Nixon had bombed Cambodia and Laos, and Congress passed a
- 10:30Speaker 2: bill saying you have to go to Congress. He vetoed
- 10:34Speaker 2: that bill, and the veto was overridden by Congress, Congress
- 10:40Speaker 2: saying you cannot do this without our permission. Guess what
- 10:45Speaker 2: he did it without our permission. The president did this.
- 10:50Speaker 2: Truman did it with a Korean War.
- 10:53Speaker 1: Do you have.
- 10:55Speaker 2: Johnson did it with a Gulf of Tonkin resolution where
- 10:58Speaker 2: he made up the attack on American warship in North
- 11:01Speaker 2: Vietnammese waters that probably didn't even exist. And so that's
- 11:05Speaker 2: what's going on here. So the argument is, and the
- 11:07Speaker 2: Republicans are saying this is not constitutional, the democrats.
- 11:11Speaker 1: Democrats are saying, or the.
- 11:12Speaker 2: Republicans Republicans are saying this is constitutional. The Democrats are
- 11:17Speaker 2: saying it is not. There's one argument that's going on,
- 11:21Speaker 2: all right, how about the political fallout and the Republicans
- 11:25Speaker 2: versus the Democrats. That is going to be a major
- 11:31Speaker 2: major problem here in the States in terms of the
- 11:35Speaker 2: political fallout. Then there is the issue of the response
- 11:39Speaker 2: from our allies. Now, originally our allies we're talking about
- 11:45Speaker 2: the Gulf States, even Jordan and England said you cannot
- 11:51Speaker 2: use military bases, American military bases, of which we have
- 11:54Speaker 2: all over the Mid East, over all over Europe. Cannot
- 11:59Speaker 2: use those bases, and even our airspace you cannot use
- 12:03Speaker 2: to go and attack Iran because they have to fly
- 12:07Speaker 2: over those airspaces. That's how American forces go into Iran.
- 12:13Speaker 2: They have to fly over that airspace. Nope, shut it down. Starmer,
- 12:17Speaker 2: who is the Prime Minister of England, originally said that.
- 12:20Speaker 1: Changed his mind.
- 12:22Speaker 2: He has come back and said, Okay, you can use
- 12:27Speaker 2: our bases.
- 12:28Speaker 1: And our airspace. Okay, so you've got that.
- 12:33Speaker 2: And the allies are moving further and further in the
- 12:36Speaker 2: direction of the attacks, helping the attacks. Have they joined
- 12:40Speaker 2: the attacks, not yet, Will they join the attacks yet?
- 12:44Speaker 1: I think so.
- 12:46Speaker 2: I think so, because Iran is stupid enough to already
- 12:50Speaker 2: attack its neighbors in the Gulf States.
- 12:53Speaker 1: Why, I don't know. It makes no sense.
- 12:56Speaker 2: There was an interview with the Iranian foreign minister, who
- 13:00Speaker 2: speaks pretty decent English, and was asked by a reporter,
- 13:04Speaker 2: why are you attacking some of these foreign states, your neighbors. Well,
- 13:08Speaker 2: because there are American bases on there and we have
- 13:11Speaker 2: the right to attack. To do the attack, and then
- 13:14Speaker 2: was asked, well, why did you attack Dubai, Why did
- 13:18Speaker 2: you attack the capital? Why did you go into civilian areas?
- 13:24Speaker 2: We didn't. We had nothing to do with it at all.
- 13:27Speaker 2: That's a lie. I'm this typical what happens in that
- 13:30Speaker 2: part of the world. So the Allies are they going
- 13:34Speaker 2: to be involved?
- 13:35Speaker 1: Are they not?
- 13:35Speaker 2: Iran keeps on sending missiles out to its neighbors. So
- 13:39Speaker 2: now there was a rift, for example, between Oman and
- 13:43Speaker 2: Saudi Arabia, a big rift. All of a sudden, you
- 13:48Speaker 2: have these these states in the middle in the in
- 13:51Speaker 2: the Middle East are now combineding.
- 13:54Speaker 1: They're coalescing against Iran.
- 13:56Speaker 2: Because Iran didn't limit its attacks just to American basis.
- 14:01Speaker 2: It went forward and is attacking civilian targets in Saudi Arabia,
- 14:07Speaker 2: in Kuwait, in the Emirates, and no one understands why.
- 14:12Speaker 2: I mean, you look at all of the pundits, I
- 14:15Speaker 2: mean people that know you're talking about military experts that
- 14:17Speaker 2: are on all the news outlets, and they're all shaking
- 14:20Speaker 2: their heads and going, this is crazy. And maybe it
- 14:24Speaker 2: has to do with the United States taking out whomany
- 14:28Speaker 2: whom and I humani whomany? Whatever the hell this name is,
- 14:33Speaker 2: the Grand Pooba, you know, the Imperial Wizard, the guy
- 14:38Speaker 2: who is in charge. Boy, do I know my stuff?
- 14:41Speaker 2: Don't I? Certainly the pronunciation of names. Boy, So much
- 14:49Speaker 2: is going on, I mean, the big story of the
- 14:52Speaker 2: massive story of the attack on Iran by Israel in
- 14:55Speaker 2: the United States early Saturday morning, our time, and what
- 15:01Speaker 2: my goodness, what news. That is how the world has
- 15:06Speaker 2: changed literally in a matter of well just a few minutes.
- 15:11Speaker 2: When the president who had said, who had warned Iran
- 15:15Speaker 2: we may attack, I'm thinking of attacking.
- 15:17Speaker 1: It may come in a matter of days. You have
- 15:20Speaker 1: to sit down with us, You have to negotiate.
- 15:22Speaker 2: You have to get rid of your Enrichmond program, you
- 15:26Speaker 2: have to get rid of your nuclear weapons program, and
- 15:31Speaker 2: Iran kept on saying, oh no, it's peaceful purposes, getting
- 15:34Speaker 2: rid of your missiles.
- 15:35Speaker 1: Man, what a missile arsenal?
- 15:36Speaker 2: They have long range missiles, medium range missiles, short range missiles.
- 15:42Speaker 1: What's going on now with the attack?
- 15:44Speaker 2: First thing is reel did and the United States just
- 15:46Speaker 2: take out Iran's ability to shoot down airplanes and to
- 15:51Speaker 2: shoot down an attack. And that's exactly what happened. At
- 15:56Speaker 2: this point. The allies that is Israel particularly is real
- 16:00Speaker 2: and the United States have complete air superiority over Iran.
- 16:03Speaker 2: No way that Iran can shoot down any of these
- 16:07Speaker 2: air assets. Matter of fact, we only lost two airplanes
- 16:11Speaker 2: and shut down by Kuwait by accident. All right, oh
- 16:16Speaker 2: and eight o'clock. We're expecting the president to have some comments.
- 16:20Speaker 2: But if all he's going to do is give out
- 16:21Speaker 2: the medal of honor to everybody in the room, not interested,
- 16:24Speaker 2: we'll bail out.
- 16:25Speaker 1: Okay.
- 16:27Speaker 2: Now, the question is why now? And this one thing
- 16:29Speaker 2: the Democrats have argued, why now? What's your choice of timing?
- 16:35Speaker 2: No eminent threat, no real proof that Iran was building
- 16:41Speaker 2: up its nuclear weapons because of the attack in June. Well,
- 16:46Speaker 2: here's why, and this is what the President with Pete
- 16:49Speaker 2: Hexth and those that are in favor of the war,
- 16:51Speaker 2: the hierarchy and the military said Iran is now.
- 16:55Speaker 1: At its weakest point that it has been in decades.
- 16:59Speaker 1: This is the time.
- 17:00Speaker 2: Iran is a legitimate threat to the world and to
- 17:05Speaker 2: the Mid East. And for those of you that think
- 17:08Speaker 2: it's not, you are crazy. Iran is the biggest source
- 17:12Speaker 2: of support and weapons and money to terrorist groups all
- 17:16Speaker 2: over the United's all over the world. And if you
- 17:19Speaker 2: let Iran keep on doing this is death of a
- 17:22Speaker 2: thousand cuts. And so this is what the President said,
- 17:27Speaker 2: We're done and right now, right now is the time.
- 17:31Speaker 2: And here is why it made so much sense militarily.
- 17:35Speaker 2: The argument is, you don't screw with Israelis and you
- 17:39Speaker 2: don't screw with the United States when you have a
- 17:41Speaker 2: president that's willing to go balls for the wall, much
- 17:45Speaker 2: like Trump does.
- 17:46Speaker 1: And here's why.
- 17:47Speaker 2: The attack intelligence that Israel and the United or Israel
- 17:52Speaker 2: in the United States has is phenomenal in the Middle East,
- 17:57Speaker 2: I mean phenomenal. They know everything and they had followed
- 18:01Speaker 2: who may need for months, and the hierarchy and the
- 18:08Speaker 2: various high.
- 18:12Speaker 1: The the what's the word I'm looking for.
- 18:16Speaker 2: The top of the military chain, the top of the
- 18:19Speaker 2: military forces of Iran, and they all were meeting in
- 18:25Speaker 2: a war council in a building at the headquarters.
- 18:31Speaker 1: This is how dumb they are.
- 18:33Speaker 2: How you shake your head or the Allied forces are
- 18:36Speaker 2: just shaking their heads and going.
- 18:38Speaker 1: How can you be this stupid?
- 18:41Speaker 2: So you have a war council with the head honcho,
- 18:44Speaker 2: and head of the Revolutionary Guard, and head of the
- 18:47Speaker 2: military and head of the judiciary, and they're all meeting
- 18:53Speaker 2: in one room at the headquarters of the military and
- 19:01Speaker 2: they said, we have the chance now to take literally
- 19:04Speaker 2: take out this entire group of people, and the head guy,
- 19:07Speaker 2: we are not gonna wait, We're not gonna have this
- 19:10Speaker 2: opportunity again.
- 19:12Speaker 1: Boom, the decision was made.
- 19:14Speaker 2: So if you think the attack was legitimate, which I
- 19:18Speaker 2: do a lot of argument against it. As I said,
- 19:21Speaker 2: if you think the attack was legitimate, as I do,
- 19:26Speaker 2: you couldn't time it better. You could not let this
- 19:29Speaker 2: opportunity go. The head has been decapitated. Now what happens
- 19:37Speaker 2: as a result of the head being decapitated? What goes
- 19:41Speaker 2: on after this, what's the future of what's going on
- 19:45Speaker 2: in Iran? That is hugely complicated. In and of itself.
- 19:49Speaker 2: I'll share that with you when we come back. And
- 19:53Speaker 2: keep in mind, at eight o'clock the President is scheduled
- 19:56Speaker 2: to speak. Okay, we'll tune in on that. Unless it's
- 20:01Speaker 2: all about giving the Medal of Honor just like popcorn.
- 20:05Speaker 2: And that is really unfortunate that he has taken the
- 20:08Speaker 2: Medal of Honor and reduced.
- 20:12Speaker 1: It's just the reduced.
- 20:15Speaker 2: How holy it really is, and how rarely it's handed out,
- 20:23Speaker 2: and how sacrisanct it is.
- 20:25Speaker 1: We're very very folks. Yeah, it's all military. It's the
- 20:30Speaker 1: highest honor of the military can give.
- 20:32Speaker 2: But they have to do something to get it. Oh yeah, no,
- 20:35Speaker 2: these guys all did. It's extraordinary valor. I mean they
- 20:39Speaker 2: all do. But when you have the Silver Star, for example,
- 20:42Speaker 2: the Bronze Star, those guys could all deserve the Medal
- 20:45Speaker 2: of Honor. It's it's not easy, and it's so rarely
- 20:49Speaker 2: given out that it is considered something so extraordinary that,
- 20:54Speaker 2: as I said earlier, if a soldier, even a private,
- 20:57Speaker 2: is wearing his Medal of Honor, the Chiefs the Joint,
- 21:02Speaker 2: the Chief of the Joint, the Chairman of the Joint,
- 21:06Speaker 2: Chiefs and generals salute a private. That's how rare and
- 21:12Speaker 2: special it is, and now it's being handed out like crazy.
- 21:15Speaker 2: All Right, I'm talking obviously about what's going on in
- 21:18Speaker 2: Iran and going through so many of the moving pieces.
- 21:23Speaker 2: I started this at seven o'clock. So I'm going to
- 21:25Speaker 2: suggest if you just come in, please podcast the well
- 21:30Speaker 2: this entire hour, parts that you missed because trying to
- 21:33Speaker 2: explain what happened and more importantly to me, at least
- 21:37Speaker 2: my take on all this, my analysis, which you may disagree,
- 21:42Speaker 2: and the point is everybody's right and everybody is wrong.
- 21:45Speaker 1: Okay.
- 21:47Speaker 2: Another piece of this puzzle are is the demonstrations that
- 21:51Speaker 2: are going on all over the world among Iran Iranian
- 21:55Speaker 2: expats and the biggest population of Iranians outside of Iran
- 21:59Speaker 2: is right here in Los Angeles, and the second biggest
- 22:03Speaker 2: is in New York and demonstration is going all over.
- 22:06Speaker 2: I heard one man, actually it was Los Angeles time,
- 22:10Speaker 2: said the ninety two million people of Iran are now free.
- 22:14Speaker 2: They are not regime change. Is there going to be
- 22:18Speaker 2: regime change? No? Is there going to be another head
- 22:22Speaker 2: honcho because the Supreme leader was killed, as well as
- 22:26Speaker 2: members of the hierarchy, both politically and military. And clerical
- 22:30Speaker 2: have been killed, but that just means they're going to
- 22:33Speaker 2: put someone new in or a group in. Is there
- 22:38Speaker 2: going to be a regime change very difficult because you've
- 22:42Speaker 2: got the government, you've got the Revolutionary Guard is a
- 22:45Speaker 2: police state that is so entrenched in Iran that's going
- 22:50Speaker 2: to be very difficult to overturn it. Also, this government
- 22:54Speaker 2: in Iran is prepared to kill and has killed tens
- 22:57Speaker 2: of thousands of demonstrators, literally at point blank range, have
- 23:02Speaker 2: killed demonstrators.
- 23:03Speaker 1: It takes real balls for the demonstrations to come out.
- 23:06Speaker 2: Right now, there are some demonstrations in Iran and you're
- 23:13Speaker 2: not seeing the killing of them because the Iranian government
- 23:17Speaker 2: is too busy scrambling to stay in power, and they
- 23:21Speaker 2: are probably going to do so. And if you talk
- 23:23Speaker 2: about the demonstrations, look at the hundreds of thousands of
- 23:26Speaker 2: supporters the current regime has. So is there going to
- 23:33Speaker 2: be massive regime changed? Not until literally the people of
- 23:37Speaker 2: Iran overrun and in massive numbers. It's like the Arab
- 23:41Speaker 2: Spring that happened years ago, where the governments just collapsed,
- 23:45Speaker 2: but the army, the military switched over to the other
- 23:50Speaker 2: side instead of protecting the regimes. It switched over to
- 23:55Speaker 2: attacking them and joining the population. I believe, this is
- 24:01Speaker 2: my take on it. That's the only way it's going
- 24:03Speaker 2: to happen. Interestingly, the president, who originally said this is
- 24:07Speaker 2: not about regime change at all, has added regime change.
- 24:12Speaker 1: When this started, a regime change was added to the mix.
- 24:17Speaker 2: The big mix is the nuclear weapon the big issue,
- 24:22Speaker 2: and he has said much like Natanyahu and the Israelis
- 24:24Speaker 2: have said, we cannot let Iran have a nuclear weapon,
- 24:28Speaker 2: which they are.
- 24:29Speaker 1: I mean, does anybody believe that.
- 24:31Speaker 2: They're not building or attempting to build or planning to
- 24:35Speaker 2: build a nuclear weapon?
- 24:36Speaker 1: And what do you do? You wait until it's done.
- 24:39Speaker 2: And the issue among the Democrats and those that are
- 24:41Speaker 2: anti the war saying no eminent threat.
- 24:44Speaker 1: I don't know what that means.
- 24:45Speaker 2: Do you wait until Iran has the bomb and then
- 24:48Speaker 2: it becomes an imminent threat or is about to launch
- 24:51Speaker 2: a bomb or give it to some terrorist group to use,
- 24:55Speaker 2: which they would in a heartbeat.
- 24:57Speaker 1: That's an imminent threat. Let's wait for that.
- 25:02Speaker 2: So celebrations around the world doesn't have much to do
- 25:06Speaker 2: with what's going on in Iran.
- 25:07Speaker 1: Not much.
- 25:08Speaker 2: Is there going to be a regime change, probably not.
- 25:11Speaker 2: It's much like what happened in Venezuela. Is there a
- 25:14Speaker 2: regime change? Absolutely not. However, the president arresting Maduro, what
- 25:20Speaker 2: has he done? He has cut a deal with Iran,
- 25:24Speaker 2: with Venezuela, where Venezuela is not so much an ally
- 25:28Speaker 2: of the United States, but doing business with the United
- 25:31Speaker 2: States selling oil to the United States, not selling oil
- 25:35Speaker 2: to Cuba, not selling oil to countries around the world
- 25:40Speaker 2: that are not our allies, are our enemies. The president
- 25:43Speaker 2: was able to pull that off without regime change. Is
- 25:46Speaker 2: the same thing going to happen? I don't think so.
- 25:49Speaker 2: Why because you have the moula is in charge. Oh
- 25:52Speaker 2: that's the other one. What do you do with a
- 25:55Speaker 2: government that says death to America, death to America constantly
- 26:00Speaker 2: from the time they came into power in nineteen seventy nine,
- 26:04Speaker 2: Death to America.
- 26:05Speaker 1: No eminent threat.
- 26:07Speaker 2: All we're gonna do is support terrorist groups who attack
- 26:10Speaker 2: Americans all day long. And of course Israel, because the
- 26:16Speaker 2: premise of the entire well a good part of the
- 26:20Speaker 2: Iranian government is Israel must not exist. We must destroy Israel,
- 26:26Speaker 2: and that's our closest ally tell me there is no
- 26:28Speaker 2: eminent threat, even though it's not tomorrow, all right, Coming up,
- 26:33Speaker 2: we're going to cut to the President and we'll see
- 26:37Speaker 2: what he does in terms of this. If he speaks
- 26:40Speaker 2: other than just handing out the medals of honor, we'll
- 26:42Speaker 2: be right back with that. And at eight thirty retro
- 26:45Speaker 2: radio talk radio. That should be fine KFI AM six
- 26:49Speaker 2: point forty.
