- 0:09Speaker 1: Hello, Welcome to Inside the Birds Week five NFL preview.
- 0:14Speaker 1: I am Jeff Mosher, and as I said last week,
- 0:17Speaker 1: we are now about a quarter of a way through
- 0:20Speaker 1: the season. It's week five. This is the time where
- 0:24Speaker 1: you start to see the team separate. You start to
- 0:28Speaker 1: get a good feel of who's pretty good, who's struggling,
- 0:33Speaker 1: who needs to do what. But I gotta say, there
- 0:36Speaker 1: are so many teams with major, major injuries early in
- 0:41Speaker 1: the year that I'm not one hundred percent or right now.
- 0:46Speaker 1: Some teams that I really like are giving me pause
- 0:50Speaker 1: at least for this week or maybe a week or
- 0:52Speaker 1: two more on what they can do and who they
- 0:56Speaker 1: can beat because I don't know about their injury situation.
- 1:01Speaker 1: No team is more beat up than the Baltimore Ravens.
- 1:04Speaker 1: I mean their entire secondary, which is the strength of
- 1:08Speaker 1: their team, and they have injuries on the D line
- 1:10Speaker 1: as well, beat up and maybe not playing this week,
- 1:14Speaker 1: and of course Lamar Jackson, two time MVP, not practicing
- 1:19Speaker 1: much this week, may not play. And that just makes
- 1:22Speaker 1: the Ravens, who were already struggling on defense, a very
- 1:26Speaker 1: tough team to try to figure out. I didn't drop
- 1:30Speaker 1: them very low. I dropped them down out of the
- 1:33Speaker 1: top ten in my power rankings that I do for
- 1:36Speaker 1: Villy Voice, because let's be real, they were struggling, especially defensively,
- 1:41Speaker 1: and they weren't winning games even before all the massive
- 1:44Speaker 1: amounts of injuries. But I didn't I'm not burying them.
- 1:47Speaker 1: But they have got to get healthier at really important
- 1:51Speaker 1: positions Lamar of course, but especially on the back end
- 1:55Speaker 1: of their defense, their line, in order for them to
- 1:58Speaker 1: be the the Ravens that we would expect him to be.
- 2:02Speaker 1: Then you look at the Commanders. They might get Jayden
- 2:04Speaker 1: Daniels back, but you know they've lost Eckler for the year.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Mclaurin's been hurt, they have other injuries. You know, they're
- 2:11Speaker 1: hoping to get Sam Cosmi back soon from the ACL
- 2:14Speaker 1: he Tori is a very good lineman. But they have
- 2:16Speaker 1: been impacted also by their injuries. Tampa Bay obviously without
- 2:22Speaker 1: they were able to get Worf's back at left tackle
- 2:25Speaker 1: against the Eagles and get Godwin back, and those guys
- 2:28Speaker 1: made significant contributions even in a loss. But Bucky Irving,
- 2:33Speaker 1: they're a great running back, probably not gonna play either.
- 2:36Speaker 1: And the Vikings have injuries also all over the offensive
- 2:40Speaker 1: line at quarterback where Sam where Carson Wentz continues to
- 2:44Speaker 1: be the quarterback. So it's been hard to get a
- 2:48Speaker 1: gauge on which teams are ready to start their assent
- 2:53Speaker 1: and take off and which teams are not that good
- 2:57Speaker 1: or just impacted by the injuries that they have. And
- 3:01Speaker 1: in a lot of the matchups this week, injuries are
- 3:05Speaker 1: playing a big role and they just give me pause.
- 3:08Speaker 1: I'm just not sure. I'll give you an example this
- 3:12Speaker 1: Chargers game versus the Commanders that I'll get into in
- 3:15Speaker 1: a minute. The Chargers are really beat up. They've lost
- 3:19Speaker 1: both of their offensive tackles, now Sean Slater earlier in
- 3:24Speaker 1: the preseason right and now Joe All I believe is out.
- 3:27Speaker 1: And that's a big part of what they do with
- 3:30Speaker 1: their offensive line. They run the ball, they protect Herbert.
- 3:34Speaker 1: When Herbert's not protected, he gets hurt a lot. So
- 3:37Speaker 1: those are two major losses for their offensive line. And
- 3:41Speaker 1: you know, maybe they got surprised a little bit by
- 3:43Speaker 1: Jackson Dart making his debut. I thought there might be
- 3:48Speaker 1: a little bit of a culture shock element or unscouted look,
- 3:52Speaker 1: and certainly Dart gave the Giants a spark, But I
- 3:55Speaker 1: think the bigger issue for them is losing two offensive
- 3:58Speaker 1: tackles since the start of the year, two really good ones,
- 4:02Speaker 1: and now they've got to figure out a way to
- 4:03Speaker 1: run the ball and protect Herbert when you're on your
- 4:08Speaker 1: number three and number four ots. So that's an example
- 4:12Speaker 1: of a team that is greatly impacted by its injuries.
- 4:16Speaker 1: We'll see about Tampa Bay and a couple of teams. Obviously,
- 4:20Speaker 1: we get the first week where teams are by, so
- 4:23Speaker 1: the teams that aren't playing this week, or the Falcons,
- 4:27Speaker 1: the Bears who go in hot, the Packers and the
- 4:31Speaker 1: Steelers are all off this week, and of course we
- 4:36Speaker 1: get a great game on Thursday night. Now, let me
- 4:40Speaker 1: tell you it was a great game because it was
- 4:42Speaker 1: two NFC West teams going at it. Rams Niners. Always
- 4:47Speaker 1: a good game, two great coaches Sean McVay Kyle Shanahan
- 4:51Speaker 1: whenever these teams play each other. And by the way,
- 4:54Speaker 1: the Niners another team that is hard to know what
- 4:58Speaker 1: they are or what they're going to be with all
- 5:01Speaker 1: the injuries they have right now. But you got to
- 5:03Speaker 1: give them credit not only for winning the game, but
- 5:06Speaker 1: winning it with Mac Jones, a quarterback with no Kittle,
- 5:10Speaker 1: with no Juwan Johnson. They still don't have ayukback. You know,
- 5:15Speaker 1: they lost Bosa for the year. I mean, this is
- 5:17Speaker 1: a team that has injuries all over the place. But
- 5:21Speaker 1: you give them credit because they hung in there, figured
- 5:24Speaker 1: out a way to move the ball. They rode Christian McCaffrey,
- 5:27Speaker 1: who amazingly is not injured given all the mileage that
- 5:30Speaker 1: he's got the first three four weeks of the season.
- 5:33Speaker 1: They hang in there and win a game that, quite frankly,
- 5:37Speaker 1: they had no business winning. They were out played and
- 5:45Speaker 1: basically out executed for a lot of the game except
- 5:48Speaker 1: in one critical area. They were the better coach team
- 5:53Speaker 1: in this game, and they were the more careful and
- 5:57Speaker 1: team with the football. Now, the Rams are a very
- 6:01Speaker 1: good team. They're three and two. They're gonna kick themselves
- 6:05Speaker 1: for losing this game. They're gonna be upset that they
- 6:09Speaker 1: missed an pat with a chance to take the lead
- 6:13Speaker 1: in the game, all right. They're gonna be upset that
- 6:16Speaker 1: they got stuffed on fourth and one in overtime where
- 6:19Speaker 1: they had to go for it. There they had to.
- 6:21Speaker 1: There was not enough time left. If they kick the
- 6:24Speaker 1: field goal and tie the game and then kick off,
- 6:28Speaker 1: there's you know, just there's only a couple of minutes left,
- 6:30Speaker 1: and then you know, the forty nine ers do what
- 6:33Speaker 1: they do, and even if they can get the forty
- 6:35Speaker 1: nine ers to punt the ball three and out, that
- 6:38Speaker 1: by the time they get the ball back, you never know.
- 6:40Speaker 1: You don't know if you're gonna get the ball back
- 6:42Speaker 1: at that point, so you gotta go for it. It's
- 6:45Speaker 1: fourth and one, it's deep in their territory. I have
- 6:47Speaker 1: no problem with the decision to go for it. I
- 6:51Speaker 1: have a problem with running the ball up the gut
- 6:56Speaker 1: for no gain on a day when your quarterback is
- 7:01Speaker 1: on fire and has enough time to make a ham
- 7:04Speaker 1: sandwich and a PBNJ in the pocket. That's how protected
- 7:09Speaker 1: that Matthew Stafford was in this game. The guy had
- 7:13Speaker 1: ample time through for almost four hundred yards, was only
- 7:17Speaker 1: sacked once, was not under a lot of duress. I'm
- 7:20Speaker 1: sorry on the most important play of the game. If
- 7:24Speaker 1: I'm going down, I'm going down. And I know that
- 7:27Speaker 1: they're a run team, but I'm still going down in
- 7:30Speaker 1: that situation with the ball in the hands of my
- 7:34Speaker 1: quarterback who's almost thrown for four hundred yards and my
- 7:39Speaker 1: receivers who have moved the ball all day long. Nikua
- 7:43Speaker 1: at Well even had big gains DeVante Adams. Those are
- 7:49Speaker 1: the guys. I've even taking the chance throwing the ball
- 7:52Speaker 1: to Kyron Williams in that situation on a short route
- 7:55Speaker 1: because he already had two touchdown catches in the game.
- 7:58Speaker 1: But a simple run up the gut after a timeout,
- 8:02Speaker 1: I mean, you gotta be kidding me. I think McVeigh
- 8:05Speaker 1: is one of the best coaches in the league. You
- 8:08Speaker 1: hear me talk about him all the time. From a
- 8:10Speaker 1: run game of pass game design. I just thought that
- 8:13Speaker 1: that was an ultra ultra conservative play call in a
- 8:18Speaker 1: game in which you didn't have to be conservative. You
- 8:21Speaker 1: were moving the ball at ease in that game, And
- 8:25Speaker 1: it really really surprised me to see them just kind
- 8:30Speaker 1: of by the way fourth and three, on the prior
- 8:34Speaker 1: drive in which they got a forty eight yard field
- 8:36Speaker 1: goal from their kicker, they went for it. On fourth
- 8:39Speaker 1: and three. They threw the ball to who Kyrium Williams
- 8:43Speaker 1: and got a thirteen yard gain to set up what
- 8:46Speaker 1: was going ended up being the game tying field goal.
- 8:49Speaker 1: But folks, if you watch the game, you know this.
- 8:52Speaker 1: The Rams lost this game before the fourth quarter, before overtime.
- 8:58Speaker 1: They lost it because Kyram Williams fumbled and Blake Korum fumbled,
- 9:05Speaker 1: and Kyrien Williams fumbled going into the end zone in
- 9:09Speaker 1: the fourth quarter. All right, they were down twenty three
- 9:12Speaker 1: to twenty. He's going into the end zone and I'm
- 9:16Speaker 1: gonna be up twenty seven twenty three, and he's holding
- 9:19Speaker 1: the ball out. I guess maybe he's thought he was
- 9:21Speaker 1: gonna try to push it over the end zone. But
- 9:24Speaker 1: you can't do that. You can't lose the ball in
- 9:27Speaker 1: that situation. And Williams is now developing a reputation for
- 9:31Speaker 1: putting the ball on the ground in key moments. You
- 9:34Speaker 1: saw him do it in the divisional playoffs last year
- 9:37Speaker 1: against the Eagles, all right. And the worst part is
- 9:40Speaker 1: Koram did the same thing earlier in the game. Not
- 9:42Speaker 1: the same type of fumble, but a basic pitch from
- 9:46Speaker 1: Stafford to him on a just routine play that they
- 9:50Speaker 1: practiced probably three hundred times a year. He takes his
- 9:54Speaker 1: eyes off of it and he drops the pitch and
- 9:57Speaker 1: the forty nine ers pounce on it and they get
- 9:59Speaker 1: them a possession. Those are killer, Those are so brutal.
- 10:04Speaker 1: You're talking about at least seven points they should have
- 10:09Speaker 1: scored on the Williams fumble, but on the other fumble too.
- 10:13Speaker 1: I just absolutely brutal. The forty nine ers were able
- 10:19Speaker 1: to capitalize. They didn't play great, but give them credit
- 10:22Speaker 1: again because they were basically on backups at every position
- 10:27Speaker 1: they were except for their running back, who did an
- 10:29Speaker 1: excellent job as McCaffrey always does, and the quarterback did
- 10:33Speaker 1: a nice job controlling the game. But look the average
- 10:35Speaker 1: two point two yards a run. They've struggled to run
- 10:38Speaker 1: the ball all year long. They got a couple of
- 10:41Speaker 1: nice throws from Jones, Mac Jones, you know that nice
- 10:45Speaker 1: little throw to Bourne, but they basically just played small
- 10:49Speaker 1: ball and let the Rams fall over themselves. And this
- 10:53Speaker 1: will be the second time in five games that the
- 10:56Speaker 1: Rams are gonna look at themselves and just say, we
- 11:00Speaker 1: should have had this game. Should have had this game,
- 11:03Speaker 1: figured out a way to snatch defeat from the jaws
- 11:06Speaker 1: of victory, and folks, the Rams are a good team.
- 11:09Speaker 1: I don't know if they have enough to win a
- 11:11Speaker 1: Super Bowl. They clearly have enough to contend for it.
- 11:15Speaker 1: But if they don't, and if they don't make a
- 11:18Speaker 1: deep playoff run, it'll be because they do not value
- 11:22Speaker 1: the football enough at the running back spot. You can't
- 11:26Speaker 1: have guys who put the ball on the ground in
- 11:29Speaker 1: critical moments, and so far that has very much hurt them.
- 11:34Speaker 1: And so you got a really nice NFC West race here.
- 11:39Speaker 1: It's with the Rams, with the Seahawks who are all
- 11:42Speaker 1: of a sudden off to a good start, with the Cardinals,
- 11:46Speaker 1: who are okay. I mean, it's a tight It's gonna
- 11:47Speaker 1: be a tight division, and this one will probably come
- 11:50Speaker 1: down to the wire. I do think the Rams are
- 11:53Speaker 1: the most talented team. The Niners are now four and one,
- 11:56Speaker 1: so you got to give them a lot of credit
- 11:58Speaker 1: for overcoming their injury. The Cardinals, to me, are a
- 12:02Speaker 1: team that's gonna hang into a lot of games and
- 12:05Speaker 1: they'll be there. They'll probably hover around five hundred. They
- 12:09Speaker 1: just lost their they already lost Connor, they just lost
- 12:12Speaker 1: their other running back quite a nice week last week,
- 12:14Speaker 1: so they already are limited in playmakers. I think this
- 12:17Speaker 1: will wind up being a three horse race between the Niners,
- 12:22Speaker 1: the Seahawks, and the Rams. The Rams are the most
- 12:25Speaker 1: talented team. The forty nine ers, though, are the team
- 12:29Speaker 1: that's four and one despite all their injuries, so they
- 12:31Speaker 1: will become as talented, at least offensively as the Rams.
- 12:36Speaker 1: When they get Kittle, when they get Ayuk back, when
- 12:40Speaker 1: they get Juwan Johnson, all right, they'll become a Piersoll
- 12:44Speaker 1: I forgot to mention that he was out. All right,
- 12:46Speaker 1: they will be a formidable foe. But for now, they're
- 12:51Speaker 1: hanging in there. And good for them for winning that game.
- 12:54Speaker 1: They stole a game they absolutely needed to steal this
- 12:59Speaker 1: early in the and that puts him in a good spot.
- 13:01Speaker 1: And we'll see what the Seahawks. The Seahawks are doing
- 13:04Speaker 1: some good things defensively, they're doing some good things offensively.
- 13:08Speaker 1: They're three in one. This will be a big test
- 13:10Speaker 1: for them this week as they face a Buccaneers team
- 13:15Speaker 1: that's a little bit under manned. Hey you know that
- 13:17Speaker 1: one guy in the group chat who hit a five
- 13:19Speaker 1: leg parlay week one and he wouldn't shut up about
- 13:22Speaker 1: it for the rest of the season. Sounds like Kaplan, right, Yeah, Yeah,
- 13:26Speaker 1: it could be him. It could be you, and we

- 15:24Speaker 1: That's code Birds for a risk free first stake. So
- 15:28Speaker 1: let's get into these one o'clock games. The Vikings are
- 15:33Speaker 1: basically commuting. They played in Dublin, Ireland, the first I
- 15:38Speaker 1: think first ever game in Ireland last week. They lost
- 15:41Speaker 1: to a Steelers team that basically teed off on Carson
- 15:46Speaker 1: Wentz and sacked them six times. And you know, I
- 15:49Speaker 1: guess with all the offensive line issues that the Vikings
- 15:52Speaker 1: are having, you could see how a defense, a Steelers
- 15:56Speaker 1: defense which has been inconsistent this year, would find its grew.
- 16:00Speaker 1: I know, the Vikings scored a couple of points there
- 16:02Speaker 1: in the fourth quarter to make it look closer than
- 16:04Speaker 1: it was, but that was kind of a one sided
- 16:06Speaker 1: game for most of the game. And now they go,
- 16:12Speaker 1: I guess, take a little skip around the pond from
- 16:14Speaker 1: Ireland to London and they will host the Cleveland Browns.
- 16:19Speaker 1: The Browns have given up on the Joe Flacco experiment.
- 16:23Speaker 1: They are going with Dylan Gabriel. Vikings are three and
- 16:27Speaker 1: a half point favorites. It's a little dangerous to me
- 16:29Speaker 1: only because and I get it, because Dylan Gabriel's first
- 16:33Speaker 1: pro game, he gets thrown to the Wolves and has
- 16:36Speaker 1: to face a Brian Flores defense that will blitz him
- 16:41Speaker 1: until tomorrow and they will come at him. And it's listening.
- 16:45Speaker 1: Dylan was known at Oregon. You saw it. He gets
- 16:48Speaker 1: rid of the ball very quickly. But the Browns have
- 16:51Speaker 1: some offensive line issues that I think they don't have
- 16:54Speaker 1: Cedric Tillman. They're a team that wants to try to run,
- 16:58Speaker 1: try to get some timing and rhythm based offense with
- 17:02Speaker 1: Dylan Gabriel. That is very difficult to do against a
- 17:06Speaker 1: Brian Flores defense. A Brian Flores defense speeds up your clock,
- 17:11Speaker 1: makes you have to get rid of the ball even
- 17:13Speaker 1: faster than you want to, puts a lot of pressure
- 17:16Speaker 1: on you. This has a chance to be a very
- 17:19Speaker 1: ugly turnover play game. If Dylan Gabriel is seeing ghosts
- 17:25Speaker 1: out there in his first start, and with Carson Wentz
- 17:28Speaker 1: having to go up against the Cleveland team that has
- 17:31Speaker 1: a good defensive front obviously Miles Garrett and plays good defense,
- 17:35Speaker 1: but just hasn't been able to get anything going offensively.
- 17:39Speaker 1: The total the all runner for this game is thirty
- 17:41Speaker 1: five and a half, which is by far the lowest
- 17:46Speaker 1: of the week, and that's probably a fair total for them.
- 17:51Speaker 1: The Vikings are going to get hurt by having some
- 17:53Speaker 1: offensive line issues. The Browns are going to get hurt
- 17:56Speaker 1: by having just overall offensive lethargy against the team that's
- 18:00Speaker 1: going to come after them. Should be an interesting game
- 18:03Speaker 1: stylistically with both of those defensive fronts coming after the quarterback.
- 18:09Speaker 1: Then we get to the Indianapolis Colts, and man, did
- 18:13Speaker 1: the Colts talk about teams that are kicking themselves. The
- 18:17Speaker 1: Colts had a great opportunity and they're a good team.
- 18:20Speaker 1: They have shown you they're a good team. They had
- 18:23Speaker 1: an opportunity to beat the Rams last week, and their
- 18:28Speaker 1: second year receiver ad Ni Mitchell will have to grow
- 18:31Speaker 1: up quickly because ad cost them two touchdowns. He had
- 18:38Speaker 1: a touchdown catch negated which became a touch back when
- 18:42Speaker 1: he sort of looked like maybe he was trying to
- 18:44Speaker 1: celebrate too early. He's crossing the goal line. He was
- 18:47Speaker 1: sticking the ball out and the ball pops out of
- 18:49Speaker 1: his hands and goes into the back of the end zone.
- 18:51Speaker 1: And then later in the game he negates a Taylor
- 18:56Speaker 1: touchdown Jonathan Taylor long touchdown run with a holding and
- 19:00Speaker 1: they lose by a touchdown. They may have dominated the
- 19:04Speaker 1: Rams in that game had both of those touchdowns stood
- 19:07Speaker 1: as they should have. Instead, they lose a tough one
- 19:11Speaker 1: in LA twenty seven to twenty and now they get
- 19:15Speaker 1: to come home and get their rebound game against the Raiders.
- 19:19Speaker 1: The Raiders finally unlocked genty last week. He had a
- 19:23Speaker 1: really nice game. I think he had three three touchdowns
- 19:27Speaker 1: in the game. He's obviously someone that the Raiders need
- 19:31Speaker 1: to get the ball more. I couldn't figure out why
- 19:34Speaker 1: they weren't getting him the football earlier. They lost in
- 19:39Speaker 1: that game twenty five to twenty four to the Bears,
- 19:40Speaker 1: but nonetheless they were able to get I'll give you
- 19:44Speaker 1: the numbers right now, one hundred and thirty eight yards
- 19:46Speaker 1: on a touchdown on the ground and then two catchers
- 19:49Speaker 1: for seventeen yards and two touchdowns in the air. They
- 19:53Speaker 1: need to ride him. It looks like Rock Bowers has
- 19:57Speaker 1: been a little bit beat up, you know, himself hasn't
- 20:00Speaker 1: been as good. He's been thrown interceptions, which he will do.
- 20:02Speaker 1: He's an accurate quarterback, but he will certainly throw interceptions
- 20:07Speaker 1: and take He gives the Raiders a better chance to
- 20:09Speaker 1: win than any quarterback that they've had, but he also
- 20:12Speaker 1: takes opportunities away when he's not careful with the football.
- 20:16Speaker 1: But nonetheless, the Raiders found something finally with Ashton Genty,
- 20:20Speaker 1: So it'll be a good matchup between two really good
- 20:23Speaker 1: running backs, Genty and Jonathan Taylor, who's as good as
- 20:26Speaker 1: anybody in the league. But you gotta like the Colts
- 20:30Speaker 1: in this game. They are at home, they are the
- 20:33Speaker 1: favorite by six and a half, and that's pretty fair
- 20:36Speaker 1: line for them. Honestly, the Colts should be four and oh.
- 20:39Speaker 1: They should be four and oh, but they're three and
- 20:41Speaker 1: one with a really good chance to become four and
- 20:44Speaker 1: one and really start to make noise in the AFC South.
- 20:48Speaker 1: The AFC South is competitive right now because Jacksonville is
- 20:52Speaker 1: off to a very good start as well. I don't
- 20:56Speaker 1: know if I totally buy in to the Jags, and
- 20:59Speaker 1: we'll see, because they face the Chiefs in the Monday
- 21:03Speaker 1: night game, but they are three and one. But really,
- 21:06Speaker 1: between the Texans being one and three and the Titans
- 21:09Speaker 1: being zero and four, the Colts, if they can get
- 21:12Speaker 1: to four and one, have a really good opportunity here
- 21:15Speaker 1: to make to get to some early distance. I still
- 21:18Speaker 1: think at the end of the year the Texans will
- 21:22Speaker 1: get competitive and make a push here. But if the
- 21:25Speaker 1: Colts can get to four and one, it's kind of
- 21:27Speaker 1: like the way the forty nine ers are in the
- 21:28Speaker 1: NFC West. You're buying some early wins because you know
- 21:31Speaker 1: over the second half you're gonna get figured out a
- 21:34Speaker 1: little bit. Other teams are gonna figure themselves out a
- 21:37Speaker 1: little bit, So you got to stack the wins when
- 21:40Speaker 1: you can. Another one o'clock game. By the way, the
- 21:43Speaker 1: Minnesota Cleveland game is nine thirty here. It's not a
- 21:47Speaker 1: one o'clock game, traditionally nine thirty am, So you get
- 21:50Speaker 1: to watch that in the morning before your one o'clock games.
- 21:53Speaker 1: All right, the Giants at the Saints, I wonder if
- 21:57Speaker 1: this is a little bit of a trap that the
- 21:59Speaker 1: Giant are walking into. They clearly got a spark from
- 22:03Speaker 1: Jackson Dart. I thought it was a little bit of
- 22:05Speaker 1: a risky move by Brian Dable, but obviously Dart gives
- 22:09Speaker 1: them something. Even without Malik Neighbors, They're able to go
- 22:13Speaker 1: out there and beat a very good Chargers team in
- 22:17Speaker 1: their own state in the Giants the Meadowlands. But now
- 22:20Speaker 1: you got to go to face a Saints team that
- 22:24Speaker 1: is very bad. And by the way, the Giants showed
- 22:28Speaker 1: you what I've been saying about them in that game
- 22:31Speaker 1: against the Chargers is that the Giants need to be
- 22:34Speaker 1: able to stay ahead of the sticks and move the
- 22:37Speaker 1: ball well and give their defense, which has good personnel,
- 22:42Speaker 1: a chance if they can do that and take a lead,
- 22:45Speaker 1: which they did by the way, they were up seven
- 22:48Speaker 1: to nothing on a Dart touchdown run. Then they went
- 22:50Speaker 1: up ten to nothing in the second quarter. And what
- 22:53Speaker 1: that helps their defense do in these great pass rushers
- 22:57Speaker 1: like Dexter Lawrence and Brian Burns, it allows them to
- 23:00Speaker 1: get after the quarterback. Burns had to sack, Thibodeau had
- 23:05Speaker 1: to sack Herbert was through two interceptions. So if the
- 23:10Speaker 1: Giants can get a lead in any possible way, it's
- 23:14Speaker 1: so much more beneficial for them, which because they haven't
- 23:17Speaker 1: been able to do that in the past, and they
- 23:19Speaker 1: weren't doing it with Russell Wilson at the quarterback. But
- 23:22Speaker 1: I just wonder. You know, you go into the Dome
- 23:24Speaker 1: in New Orleans, it's a loud place. The Saints are
- 23:27Speaker 1: a bad team, but yet they seem to be in
- 23:31Speaker 1: a bunch of games that they play. We know it's
- 23:33Speaker 1: tough to win in New Orleans. We know the Giants
- 23:36Speaker 1: aren't so good now because of one quarterback change, they're
- 23:39Speaker 1: gonna beat teams like the Chargers week in and week out.
- 23:43Speaker 1: You know, the Saints are are zero to four. They've
- 23:46Speaker 1: played two home games. They lost to the forty nine
- 23:48Speaker 1: Ers by five, and they lost them to the Cardinals by seven.
- 23:52Speaker 1: So they don't get killed at home. They lose on
- 23:55Speaker 1: the road because that's where the talent differential and the
- 23:58Speaker 1: loss of that loud that they play in matters. But
- 24:02Speaker 1: I think that this won't be easy for the Giants.
- 24:04Speaker 1: If you look at the Giants and say they're a
- 24:06Speaker 1: totally different team with Dart at quarterback, and now they're
- 24:09Speaker 1: gonna go and play this crappy zero to four Saints
- 24:13Speaker 1: team and they should come out of there with a
- 24:14Speaker 1: twenty one point win. Your nuts, That's not how it works.
- 24:19Speaker 1: You know, quarterbacks can give a team a spark for
- 24:21Speaker 1: a week or two, but then things come back. In fact,
- 24:24Speaker 1: last week last year alone, the Saints were two to zero,
- 24:28Speaker 1: averaging forty points a game before all the injuries hit in,
- 24:31Speaker 1: and then the reality of who they are hit in,
- 24:34Speaker 1: and then they were a very bad team the rest
- 24:36Speaker 1: of the way. The Saints are actually two and a
- 24:39Speaker 1: half point favorites in that game. That tells you that
- 24:42Speaker 1: the odds makers understand the same thing as well, that
- 24:47Speaker 1: what happened last week for the Giants could be a
- 24:49Speaker 1: flash in the pan victory and maybe not exactly what
- 24:53Speaker 1: to expect from this team. We will learn a lot
- 24:58Speaker 1: about who the New York Giants really after this week.
- 25:02Speaker 1: And for the Saints, they're just trying. They're just trying
- 25:04Speaker 1: to win a game. They're just they They're come home.
- 25:08Speaker 1: This is a team that they probably feel they can beat,
- 25:10Speaker 1: uh and they will play hard because they always do
- 25:14Speaker 1: at home. The Cowboys are at the Jets. The Cowboys
- 25:19Speaker 1: are one and a half point favorites. A little interesting
- 25:23Speaker 1: to me, not that the Cowboys are favorites, but by
- 25:26Speaker 1: only one and a half against a Jets team that
- 25:29Speaker 1: is just hemorrhaging, you know. I mean they penalties, they
- 25:34Speaker 1: get turnovers, they give up points in droves. I mean
- 25:38Speaker 1: they lose to the Dolphins. They give up twenty seven
- 25:40Speaker 1: points to the Dolphins, and honestly, it was twenty seven
- 25:42Speaker 1: to twenty one. It wasn't that close. Dolphins had control
- 25:45Speaker 1: of that game. Dolphins ran on them. As soon as
- 25:47Speaker 1: that game got a little close, the Dolphins went to
- 25:49Speaker 1: the ground, started running the ball at them, lost Tyreek Hill.
- 25:52Speaker 1: So what happens. They throw it at the Jaylen Waddle,
- 25:55Speaker 1: They throw it at Dallar and Waller. I think it's
- 25:58Speaker 1: back to the drawing board. Time for Aaron Glenn with
- 26:01Speaker 1: this defense that is giving up an average of thirty
- 26:05Speaker 1: points per game, right thirty four to thirty, twenty nine
- 26:08Speaker 1: and twenty seven, So right around there, they got to
- 26:11Speaker 1: go back to the drawing board because this Cowboys team
- 26:14Speaker 1: can score. Cowboys team is not great, not perfect, but
- 26:20Speaker 1: very gutty in their tie. They're forty forty tie against
- 26:26Speaker 1: the Packers. Yes it was in Dallas, but they were
- 26:29Speaker 1: without Ceedee Lamb and they were all banged up on
- 26:32Speaker 1: the offensive line and they still are. Booker has been hurt,
- 26:35Speaker 1: Smith's been hurt. Guiden's had a concussion, all right, They're
- 26:38Speaker 1: banged up on offense, and they don't didn't have Ceedee Lamb,
- 26:42Speaker 1: and yet Dak Prescott played a heck of a game,
- 26:45Speaker 1: maybe one of the best games he's ever played, three touchdowns,
- 26:50Speaker 1: thirty one for forty. They're running the ball well, which
- 26:53Speaker 1: Vonte Williams he has certainly benefited from a change in scenery.
- 26:59Speaker 1: So I kind of expect the Cowboys, and I get
- 27:02Speaker 1: that the Cowboys defense is not very good either, and
- 27:06Speaker 1: you can really pick them apart. I just don't know
- 27:08Speaker 1: that the Jets can do it. The Jets have two
- 27:10Speaker 1: guys who can move the ball for them right now,
- 27:13Speaker 1: Breise Hall and Garrett Williams. They are getting Mason Taylor
- 27:18Speaker 1: a little bit more Wilson, Garrett Wilson. They are getting
- 27:20Speaker 1: Mason Taylor, their rookie tight end, a little bit more involved.
- 27:23Speaker 1: But the Jets aren't playing good enough defense to me
- 27:27Speaker 1: that they're gonna hold the Cowboys under twenty four to
- 27:30Speaker 1: twenty six points and then be able to score enough
- 27:33Speaker 1: points with their offensive personnel. So really good chance here
- 27:38Speaker 1: for the Cowboys to get to two two and one
- 27:41Speaker 1: after kind of a shaky first three or four weeks.
- 27:44Speaker 1: They should have beat the Eagles. They blew that one.
- 27:46Speaker 1: They've had some wacky games already and the injuries have
- 27:50Speaker 1: taken their toll. But this is a really good opportunity
- 27:53Speaker 1: to go in beat a bad Jets team, kind of
- 27:57Speaker 1: shake off that ugly loss they had to the Bears
- 28:00Speaker 1: and winning only beating the Giants by the skin of
- 28:02Speaker 1: their teeth in week two, and start to get themselves
- 28:06Speaker 1: right and get themselves healthier. They really have to get
- 28:08Speaker 1: themselves healthy. Denver, Broncos at the Eagles. You'll hear about
- 28:14Speaker 1: this more in our pregame show Myself, Adam Kaplan, Greg Cosell.
- 28:19Speaker 1: It's already up, so you can go listen to the
- 28:22Speaker 1: full and complete breakdown. And I'll just say this, I
- 28:25Speaker 1: do think the Eagles are skating on thin ice a
- 28:28Speaker 1: little bit with their offense. This is a Broncos team
- 28:32Speaker 1: that knows how to rush the passer. They have some
- 28:34Speaker 1: elite pass rushers that some people have never heard of.
- 28:38Speaker 1: If you don't know who Nick Bonito is, Google, If
- 28:41Speaker 1: you don't know who Jonathan Cooper is, Google, all right,
- 28:44Speaker 1: go take a look at the stats. This team knows
- 28:47Speaker 1: how to get after the quarterback. But more importantly than that,
- 28:50Speaker 1: they understand how to get after quarterbacks who are mobile.
- 28:54Speaker 1: They play Mahomes twice a year, they play Herbert twice
- 28:57Speaker 1: a year. They played the Colts. So they played Daniel
- 29:03Speaker 1: Jones a couple of weeks ago, and they kept him
- 29:07Speaker 1: in the pocket for the most part. They did not
- 29:09Speaker 1: win the game, obviously, but they did have some good
- 29:13Speaker 1: pass rushers. I watched them on tape. They will have
- 29:16Speaker 1: a good plan against Jalen Hurts. I'm not saying it'll work,
- 29:20Speaker 1: but they'll know how to keep them in the pocket
- 29:22Speaker 1: and throwing, and it'll be up to Jalen to then
- 29:25Speaker 1: become a little bit more of a comfortable pocket passer.
- 29:29Speaker 1: I would be very surprised if Jalen had massive amounts
- 29:33Speaker 1: of rushing yards. If he does, it means the Broncos
- 29:36Speaker 1: did not do what they have done on tape so
- 29:38Speaker 1: far this year, which is understand how to rush the
- 29:41Speaker 1: quarterback wide, keep him in the pocket, stunt a lot
- 29:45Speaker 1: in the middle, create middle traffic so the quarterback can't
- 29:48Speaker 1: just step up and have easy running lanes, and that'll
- 29:51Speaker 1: be a big factor in this game. Do not be
- 29:54Speaker 1: surprised if the Broncos come out of here with a win.
- 29:57Speaker 1: The Eagles are three and a half point favorites. Right
- 30:00Speaker 1: the Miami Dolphins are at the Carolina Panthers. We all
- 30:03Speaker 1: saw the gruesome injury Tyreek Hill suffered tough break for him.
- 30:10Speaker 1: Miami still managed to win the game. So for one week,
- 30:15Speaker 1: the heads will not be rolling in South Florida because
- 30:18Speaker 1: I thought if they had lost that game to the Jets,
- 30:20Speaker 1: that heads would roll. And I'll say the same thing.
- 30:23Speaker 1: You're going to play against a Carolina Panthers team that
- 30:26Speaker 1: has been dreadful, absolutely dreadful. They had one week where
- 30:30Speaker 1: and I think this says more about the Falcons than
- 30:33Speaker 1: the Panthers, they had one week where they woke up
- 30:35Speaker 1: and won thirty to nothing two weeks ago. And if
- 30:39Speaker 1: you thought that was going to carry over into their
- 30:41Speaker 1: game against the Patriots, you were wrong. They lost forty
- 30:44Speaker 1: two to thirteen to the Patriots. This Carolina team, they
- 30:48Speaker 1: are not good. And I'll tell you what. I'll tell
- 30:51Speaker 1: you what you're gonna have to it would be a
- 30:53Speaker 1: long time before you see a game like that again
- 30:57Speaker 1: between the Patriots and the Panthers. Because if you look
- 31:01Speaker 1: at the statuet a right. If you look at the
- 31:04Speaker 1: stat sheet, the Panthers won in almost every category that
- 31:11Speaker 1: you can imagine. All right, I'll give you I'll give
- 31:15Speaker 1: you the breakdown on this. For the Carolina pan this
- 31:17Speaker 1: is gonna be staggering, all right. They have more yards,
- 31:22Speaker 1: they had a better third down percentage, they won the
- 31:24Speaker 1: time of possession, and they ran seventeen more plays than
- 31:28Speaker 1: the Patriots, and they also had no turnovers and they
- 31:32Speaker 1: lost by twenty nine points. Do I need to repeat that?
- 31:37Speaker 1: More yards, better on third down, better time of possession,
- 31:42Speaker 1: more overall plays and no turnovers and still lost by
- 31:47Speaker 1: twenty nine points. If somebody can figure that one out,
- 31:52Speaker 1: let me know, because that's an amazing, amazing incongruency from
- 31:58Speaker 1: the stat sheet to the actual outcome. So you cannot
- 32:02Speaker 1: trust the Carolina Panthers right now. Chuba Hubbard sounds like
- 32:06Speaker 1: he's gonna be out. So the Dolphins get another gift rep.
- 32:10Speaker 1: So if they win, they can get to two and
- 32:11Speaker 1: three and they can calm calm down on the fire,
- 32:15Speaker 1: Mike McDaniel, and then they get the Cowboys and Jets.
- 32:19Speaker 1: So maybe if you can win one of those two,
- 32:21Speaker 1: you can kind of keep yourself one game under because
- 32:25Speaker 1: eventually you'll have to play the Bills and the Packers,
- 32:28Speaker 1: but then you get the Saints and Falcons and forty
- 32:30Speaker 1: nine ers after that. No, I'm sorry, that was the
- 32:33Speaker 1: Carolina Panthers schedule. Let me go back. So the Dolphins,
- 32:36Speaker 1: if they can beat the Panthers, will get to two
- 32:38Speaker 1: and three, but then they get the Chargers after that,
- 32:41Speaker 1: but then Browns and Falcons. So yes, the same thing
- 32:46Speaker 1: remains to be seen. It's important for them to win
- 32:49Speaker 1: this week, to stay under one game under five hundred
- 32:52Speaker 1: instead of falling further, and then see if you can
- 32:54Speaker 1: creep and crawl your way back over the next six
- 32:57Speaker 1: and seven weeks when you have some winnable games on
- 33:00Speaker 1: the schedule. I don't know that I trust the Dolphins yet.
- 33:03Speaker 1: Just because you beat the Jets doesn't mean you're any
- 33:04Speaker 1: great shakes. It'll be interesting to see how this offense
- 33:09Speaker 1: is designed without Tyreek Hill. I imagine Jayll and Waddle
- 33:13Speaker 1: will step into a bigger role. Darren Waller may have
- 33:17Speaker 1: to play a little more as his snapshare, maybe we'll
- 33:19Speaker 1: go up. We'll see if he can stay healthy. That's
- 33:21Speaker 1: always been an issue. Hn. The running back is great.
- 33:25Speaker 1: He always he has to stay healthy. To me, the
- 33:27Speaker 1: Dolphins cannot afford to lose any more players on offense
- 33:31Speaker 1: from injury. Keep an eye on Malik Washington. He's a
- 33:34Speaker 1: five eight receiver, two hundred pound receiver who's sort of
- 33:37Speaker 1: running back slash receiver. He's perfect for their offense because
- 33:40Speaker 1: he's versatile. He'll probably get more time with Tyreek Hill
- 33:44Speaker 1: out as a number two type receiver, and he can
- 33:47Speaker 1: be a good gadget player for the Dolphins. All right,
- 33:51Speaker 1: one o'clock game now, last one. The Texans are at
- 33:54Speaker 1: the Ravens and the Texans are two and a half
- 33:56Speaker 1: point favorites, despite the fact that they just got their
- 33:59Speaker 1: first win of the season, and to get their first win,
- 34:03Speaker 1: they had to beat a team, a Tennessee Titans team
- 34:06Speaker 1: that is winless itself. So this is sort of crawl
- 34:10Speaker 1: before you walk territory for the Houston Texans. They just
- 34:14Speaker 1: needed to get right. They played fairly well, at least
- 34:19Speaker 1: well enough offensively to win. I've told you all along
- 34:22Speaker 1: their defense is very, very good, and they shut out
- 34:25Speaker 1: a Titans team that you know is a mess offensively.
- 34:29Speaker 1: Callahan gave up play calling duties to his not even
- 34:31Speaker 1: his offensive coordinator to his quarterbacks coach. And that didn't
- 34:35Speaker 1: help because they scored zero points. It wasn't like the
- 34:38Speaker 1: Texans waxed them twenty six to nothing. It was twelve
- 34:42Speaker 1: nothing going into no it was six nothing going into
- 34:45Speaker 1: the fourth quarter. Then it was twelve nothing and then nineteen,
- 34:48Speaker 1: and then obviously it got away with them. Woody Marks
- 34:51Speaker 1: playing a bigger role, the rookie running back out of
- 34:53Speaker 1: a USC doing a nice job in his most extended
- 34:57Speaker 1: playing time. They're going to continue to get the ball him.
- 35:00Speaker 1: So this wasn't exactly a imposing, intimidating Texans offense that
- 35:07Speaker 1: woke up. But they got twenty six points and they
- 35:10Speaker 1: got to win, and that's crawling before you walk. And
- 35:13Speaker 1: now they get sort of an opportunity to go to
- 35:16Speaker 1: Baltimore and play a Ravens team that probably won't have
- 35:19Speaker 1: Lamar Rokwan, Marlin Humphrey, Nate Wiggins, Ronnie Stanley, Kyle Hamilton.
- 35:25Speaker 1: All these guys are hurt, and I don't know how
- 35:27Speaker 1: many of them, if any of them, are gonna play.
- 35:30Speaker 1: They already lost Madabike. They're great defensive tackle on ir
- 35:34Speaker 1: So this Ravens team is ripe for the taken. But
- 35:38Speaker 1: I caution you don't just assume the Ravens are gonna
- 35:42Speaker 1: pack up and fold like an accordion. First of all,
- 35:45Speaker 1: they're too well coached to just fold. They will not fold.
- 35:50Speaker 1: They may lose, but they won't fold. Harball is a
- 35:52Speaker 1: great coach. And they still have a lot of talent.
- 35:55Speaker 1: They still have Dereck Henry. They still have some good
- 35:57Speaker 1: players that they can lean on. Not a whole, but
- 36:00Speaker 1: they've got Derrick Henry. All right, good offensive lineman, good scheme,
- 36:05Speaker 1: good coordinators. All right, they will show up and they
- 36:09Speaker 1: will not fold like an accordion. I promise you that.
- 36:13Speaker 1: The second thing, Cooper Rush, we've seen him with as
- 36:17Speaker 1: Dallas's backup quarterback. I believe he actually has either a
- 36:21Speaker 1: winning or a close to five hundred record as a
- 36:23Speaker 1: backup quarterback, or at least he did, and then last
- 36:25Speaker 1: year things fell apart when the Cowboys were just decimated
- 36:30Speaker 1: by injuries. But the thing about Cooper Rush is that
- 36:34Speaker 1: he can run your offense. He can keep you on schedule. Yeah,
- 36:38Speaker 1: he's nine to five as a starter in this league.
- 36:41Speaker 1: All Right. I'm not sitting here telling you Cooper Rush
- 36:44Speaker 1: is somebody that you want to bet a lot of
- 36:47Speaker 1: money on to win. Okay, what I'm saying is he
- 36:50Speaker 1: can keep an offense on schedule, and you already have
- 36:53Speaker 1: a guy who helps you stay on script in Derrick Henry.
- 36:56Speaker 1: Derek Henry will move the chains no matter who your
- 36:58Speaker 1: quarterback is. It's not like he needs Lamar's running ability
- 37:02Speaker 1: to be a good running back. No, Derrick Henry is fine,
- 37:05Speaker 1: and Cooper Rush has been a good backup quarterback who's
- 37:08Speaker 1: capable of winning and keeping you on script. So I
- 37:13Speaker 1: don't think that the Texans are gonna walk into Baltimore
- 37:15Speaker 1: and come out like, all right, that's our forty one
- 37:18Speaker 1: point to nothing win. This is gonna be a hard
- 37:21Speaker 1: game for the Texans. I understand why their favorites. I
- 37:24Speaker 1: understand the injuries that the Ravens are facing. I understand
- 37:27Speaker 1: the urgency the Texans really need to win this game
- 37:30Speaker 1: and get to two and three going into their bye week.
- 37:33Speaker 1: But it's gonna be an interesting game and I think
- 37:38Speaker 1: it'll be a kind of a fun watch. And I'll
- 37:41Speaker 1: just say this again, do not count Baltimore out of
- 37:45Speaker 1: this game. If I had to put money on it,
- 37:48Speaker 1: I'd probably take the Texans because the Texans defense is
- 37:51Speaker 1: really good. It's been the one constant all year. Can
- 37:55Speaker 1: they stop Henry? Can they hold him enough so it
- 37:58Speaker 1: doesn't take over a game and they get pressure on
- 38:00Speaker 1: Cooper Cooper rush. Yeah, they probably can, and they probably
- 38:04Speaker 1: wouldn't surprise me if they scored a defensive touchdown in
- 38:07Speaker 1: this game. But I still think it'll be a pretty
- 38:09Speaker 1: good game to watch. Hey, fall is planting season. Did

- 40:29Speaker 1: Cam din Apothecary top quality cannabis, great prices, and an
- 40:34Speaker 1: experience made for Philly fans. Twenty one and up right
- 40:37Speaker 1: onto the four o'clock games. Well, if the Houston Baltimore
- 40:44Speaker 1: game is a fun watch, or if you know the
- 40:48Speaker 1: Eagles Broncos is a fun watch, I can't say the
- 40:51Speaker 1: same about the Cardinals and the Titans. I think the
- 40:55Speaker 1: Titans might very well fire their head coach if they
- 40:59Speaker 1: lose this game. Brian Callahan gay I said it he
- 41:02Speaker 1: gave up play calling to his quarterbacks coach. It didn't matter.
- 41:06Speaker 1: This is a team that just has no offensive rhythm.
- 41:10Speaker 1: And the very least you could say about the Titans
- 41:14Speaker 1: going into this year was that they had to be
- 41:18Speaker 1: better offensively than they were under will Levis because Levis
- 41:22Speaker 1: was a turnover machine waiting to happen. I mean, this
- 41:25Speaker 1: guy gave opportunities. He gift wrap opportunities for the opponent,
- 41:31Speaker 1: and at very least just by putting cam Ward in there,
- 41:35Speaker 1: you would think that the Titans would be in much
- 41:39Speaker 1: better shape offensively. Well they are not. They have scored
- 41:44Speaker 1: forty three points, I'm sorry, forty one points in four games.
- 41:49Speaker 1: That is horrible. They have no clue what they're to
- 41:53Speaker 1: do or what they're doing offensively, and now they have
- 41:57Speaker 1: to go to Arizona and play a Cardinals team that
- 42:01Speaker 1: doesn't have a lot of offensive firepower. They's been in
- 42:05Speaker 1: every single game it's played. They started off two and zero.
- 42:07Speaker 1: They lose a one point game to the Niners. Then
- 42:10Speaker 1: they lose a three point game to the Seahawks where
- 42:12Speaker 1: they were down and came back and you know, couldn't
- 42:15Speaker 1: get They lost on a field goal at the end
- 42:17Speaker 1: of the game. The Seahawks are a good team, so
- 42:19Speaker 1: see Arizona has played tough. So they're seven and a
- 42:23Speaker 1: half point favorites for a reason. If Tennessee doesn't figure
- 42:26Speaker 1: out some way to put some points on the board
- 42:30Speaker 1: in this game, they could get blown out and that
- 42:32Speaker 1: could cost Brian Callahan his job. Remember it as a
- 42:35Speaker 1: new GM in town, Mike Boganzi there new gms like
- 42:39Speaker 1: their own people, And honestly, you wouldn't blame You couldn't
- 42:44Speaker 1: blame Titans management for moving on even though it's just
- 42:47Speaker 1: year two of Callahan, because they are just so offensively
- 42:52Speaker 1: dormant that they are tough to watch. And I don't
- 42:55Speaker 1: know how many Titans fans who were excited about Cam
- 43:00Speaker 1: and the number one overall pick. How are they going
- 43:03Speaker 1: to the stadium to watch this? You're gonna go to
- 43:06Speaker 1: future Titans home games to watch a team average three
- 43:10Speaker 1: points a game? Not me. So the Titans really need
- 43:16Speaker 1: to turn around in this game, and the Cardinals they
- 43:19Speaker 1: need to get back on track after losing their last two.
- 43:23Speaker 1: All right, the four o'clock game. That's really exciting. And
- 43:26Speaker 1: this this honestly had the makings of a better matchup
- 43:29Speaker 1: if there weren't major injuries involved for Tampa. But Tampa's
- 43:33Speaker 1: gonna go out to Seattle. They are not gonna have
- 43:36Speaker 1: Bucky Irving. And it's just like you know, you feel
- 43:39Speaker 1: for Tampa. They get Worf's back, they get Godwin back,
- 43:42Speaker 1: but then they lose Evans and now they lose Bucky
- 43:44Speaker 1: Irving for this game. So they're a team that you know,
- 43:50Speaker 1: once they get everybody healthy, they're gonna be probably gonna
- 43:53Speaker 1: take off. They're already a pretty good team. And this
- 43:55Speaker 1: is a really interesting match of styles. Tampa Bay. You
- 43:58Speaker 1: saw against the Eagles. They can really get after the run.
- 44:02Speaker 1: Everything that Seattle does with Clint Kubiak as an offensive
- 44:05Speaker 1: coordinator has been based off of run and play action.
- 44:10Speaker 1: They run the ball with Walker, run the ball with Sharbonna,
- 44:13Speaker 1: and because of that, they have excellent play action game
- 44:17Speaker 1: with Sam Darnold, who has really taken off or picked
- 44:21Speaker 1: up where he left off. And when I say left off,
- 44:23Speaker 1: I mean the totaltality of last year that he had
- 44:26Speaker 1: under Kevin O'Connell when he did such an excellent job. Yes,
- 44:30Speaker 1: he can still be rattled by pressure, we saw that
- 44:32Speaker 1: in the playoffs, but he is a fantastic play action
- 44:36Speaker 1: quarterback and he is letting it rip right now like
- 44:40Speaker 1: anybody is averaging nine yards per attempt, which I believe
- 44:45Speaker 1: is only second to Lamar Jackson, who's one of the
- 44:47Speaker 1: best deep ball throwers in the league right his one
- 44:51Speaker 1: oh six' five passer rating For, donald he's just doing
- 44:54Speaker 1: a really excellent job five touchdown passes getting the ball
- 44:59Speaker 1: To Jackson smith And jigbo who has become a really good.
- 45:02Speaker 1: Target but remember everything that they do offensively is predicated
- 45:09Speaker 1: on their run game and then play action off of.
- 45:13Speaker 1: It and If tampa does as good of a job
- 45:16Speaker 1: against The seahawks run game as it did Against Saquon
- 45:20Speaker 1: barkley and The eagles run, game then The buccaneers will
- 45:24Speaker 1: give themselves a chance because we Know Sam donald can
- 45:29Speaker 1: still get rallied by, pressure and we Know Todd bowles
- 45:33Speaker 1: will bring the. Pressure he brought it Against Jalen hurts
- 45:36Speaker 1: Until hurts made him. Stop, okay he. Reluctantly i'm sure
- 45:41Speaker 1: he had to swallow his Pride Todd bowles to stop.
- 45:44Speaker 1: Blitzing but when he did stop Blitzing Jalen, hurts it
- 45:48Speaker 1: wound up being an. ADVANTAGE i don't think he's gonna
- 45:51Speaker 1: want to stop blitzing Against Sam. Donald The seahawks just
- 45:55Speaker 1: don't have a ton of weapons Where donald can go
- 46:00Speaker 1: or places Where donald can go with the. Ball their
- 46:02Speaker 1: tight End barnin has Been, okay they've got this Rookie Tory,
- 46:05Speaker 1: horton who's been good for a, Rookie but they're not
- 46:09Speaker 1: like The eagles who can throw the three or four different.
- 46:11Speaker 1: Guys so this is Where tampa has to show up
- 46:16Speaker 1: and run defense and Get donald behind the. Sticks if
- 46:19Speaker 1: they do, THAT i actually Think Tampa bay can go
- 46:22Speaker 1: on the road and win this. Game if they, cannot
- 46:25Speaker 1: THEN i think The, seahawks who are four and a
- 46:27Speaker 1: half point, favorites will have a better chance to. WIN
- 46:30Speaker 1: i love the contrast here of. Styles you, know The
- 46:33Speaker 1: seahawks are not gonna throw a ton of blitzes Under mike.
- 46:36Speaker 1: McDaniel their defense in year two has been fantastic and
- 46:41Speaker 1: he doesn't blitz that. Much he is a zone. Guy
- 46:44Speaker 1: he is a The skies. Guy he did such a
- 46:47Speaker 1: great job at The ravens defense a couple of years,
- 46:50Speaker 1: ago and now in year two he really has guys
- 46:54Speaker 1: Like Julian love and his defensive front playing. Well they
- 46:58Speaker 1: don't even Have they haven't Had, lawrence you, know the
- 47:01Speaker 1: guy they got from the lineman from The cowboys Playing DeMarcus.
- 47:04Speaker 1: Lawrence but he's Got Leonard hamilton playing really. Well their
- 47:09Speaker 1: defense has played really. Nicely their offense is a little bit.
- 47:14Speaker 1: Behind it's a little vanilla at the, moment but it's
- 47:16Speaker 1: done a job off play. Action but The seattle defense
- 47:19Speaker 1: is really coming. Along so it'll be two completely different
- 47:22Speaker 1: styles AND i expect this to be a close, game
- 47:25Speaker 1: very fun game to watch as opposed to the. Other
- 47:30Speaker 1: the four to twenty five. Game The lions are In
- 47:33Speaker 1: cincinnati to take on The, bengals who have just not been. Good.
- 47:37Speaker 1: FOLKS i Thought browning would be. BETTER i thought he
- 47:40Speaker 1: was gonna because he's been there and has a hold
- 47:42Speaker 1: on the. OFFENSE i thought that they would be at
- 47:46Speaker 1: least functional on, offense and they have been. Anything but
- 47:50Speaker 1: they're an embarrassment right. Now they cannot move the. Ball
- 47:54Speaker 1: we already know their defense. Stinks they have lost their
- 47:57Speaker 1: last two games to The vikings and The broncos by
- 48:01Speaker 1: a combined score of seventy six to, thirteen and now
- 48:04Speaker 1: they got to go play A lions team that is
- 48:06Speaker 1: averaging forty points over the last three weeks of this.
- 48:11Speaker 1: SEASON i can't imagine that this is getting any better
- 48:14Speaker 1: for The Cincinnati. Bengals and by the, way after that,
- 48:18Speaker 1: game you're gonna have to play The, packers and then
- 48:20Speaker 1: you'll have The steelers who are suddenly finding. Themselves so
- 48:25Speaker 1: this is a, real real tough setting for The bengals
- 48:28Speaker 1: and for The. LIONS i imagine it'll be business as.
- 48:31Speaker 1: Usual they are definitely in sync offensively since losing the
- 48:35Speaker 1: season opening to The, packers and The lions are every
- 48:39Speaker 1: bit the threat in THE Nfc north that they were last.
- 48:43Speaker 1: YEAR i get. It The bears are two and two
- 48:46Speaker 1: now and looking. Better The vikings are dealing with. Injuries
- 48:50Speaker 1: The lions and The packers are the two, teams and
- 48:53Speaker 1: the way The packers have played the last two, weeks you,
- 48:56Speaker 1: know lose a lead against The, browns tie The cowboys
- 49:02Speaker 1: and give up all those points that they've given up
- 49:04Speaker 1: in the fourth quarter and. Overtime right, now you have
- 49:08Speaker 1: to look The lions and say they're in pretty good,
- 49:10Speaker 1: condition and if they can win that second game later
- 49:13Speaker 1: in the year Against Green, bay they'll be in good.
- 49:17Speaker 1: Control all. Right the other four to twenty five, game
- 49:20Speaker 1: The commanders and The. CHARGERS i talked about this a little.
- 49:25Speaker 1: BIT i just don't know what to. Make it's good
- 49:27Speaker 1: for The commanders to Get jay And daniels. Back we'll.
- 49:29Speaker 1: See i'm, McLaurin they don't Have. Eckler they've been running
- 49:33Speaker 1: the ball well as in, general AND i think Having
- 49:36Speaker 1: daniels back will help. Them but you, know they just
- 49:40Speaker 1: really really lack game, changers especially if McLaurin is beat
- 49:46Speaker 1: up or, out you know they're getting the ball To
- 49:48Speaker 1: Deebo Samuel, well they really don't have a number three.
- 49:51Speaker 1: Receiver some days It's, earth sometimes it's the rookie, lane
- 49:54Speaker 1: sometimes it's running back out of the. Backfield and on,
- 49:58Speaker 1: defense they have no not being good on the back.
- 50:01Speaker 1: End now they're defensive, front and this is gonna factor
- 50:04Speaker 1: into this game a. Lot defensive front has done. Well
- 50:08Speaker 1: you Got Doron payne playing. Well they have the guy
- 50:11Speaker 1: they got from The jets who was a first round
- 50:13Speaker 1: pick years ago for the for The, niners he's playing.
- 50:17Speaker 1: Good Dorance armstrong is playing well for. Them so their
- 50:22Speaker 1: defensive front is doing Even Von miller is isn't doing
- 50:26Speaker 1: bad For, Washington but their back end has been, very very.
- 50:31Speaker 1: Loose gave up thirty four points to The, falcons WHICH
- 50:34Speaker 1: i don't think happens if they're at full, strength but,
- 50:36Speaker 1: Whatever uh that that's a tough one for. Them but
- 50:41Speaker 1: defensive front is playing, well AND i mentioned they're playing
- 50:44Speaker 1: against The chargers offensive line that does not have its offensive,
- 50:49Speaker 1: Tackles so you're gonna be able to have guys Like.
- 50:52Speaker 1: LOUVU i Mentioned dorn's arms From Javon. Kinlaw that's the
- 50:56Speaker 1: NAME i was, Thinking i'm Kin law. Payin they're gonna
- 50:59Speaker 1: be able to get their shots in On herbert and
- 51:04Speaker 1: they'll probably do a decent job knowing them against the
- 51:07Speaker 1: run Against, hampton and if they, don't they got no.
- 51:10Speaker 1: SHOT i, mean this was really their only chance stop
- 51:13Speaker 1: the run game put some pressure On. HERBERT i think
- 51:15Speaker 1: they'll have the. OPPORTUNITY i think this game is gonna
- 51:17Speaker 1: be an interesting game to. Watch and we know that
- 51:20Speaker 1: When Jayden daniels is on the, Field washington almost always
- 51:23Speaker 1: has a. Chance he will figure out a way to
- 51:26Speaker 1: run with the ball or to throw lasers to guys
- 51:28Speaker 1: that you know make it makes them. Better so this
- 51:31Speaker 1: should be a, really really good. Game The chargers are
- 51:34Speaker 1: three and a half point. Favorites i'm a little worried about.
- 51:37Speaker 1: Them you had to fly all the way east. Coast
- 51:40Speaker 1: you'll lose a game to The. Giants you'll lose one
- 51:43Speaker 1: of your. Tackles, now you come. Home you haven't really
- 51:46Speaker 1: gotten mcconkee involved in your offense as much as you.
- 51:49Speaker 1: Want you are Getting Clinton Quintin. Johnson that's. Good your
- 51:53Speaker 1: run games starting to come, along but then you lose
- 51:56Speaker 1: your down two offensive. Tackles that's always. Tough would not
- 51:59Speaker 1: shock me if either team won this. Game but With
- 52:02Speaker 1: jade And daniels coming back For, washington if they can
- 52:05Speaker 1: just get some good defense and hold This chargers offense
- 52:09Speaker 1: down and Hold herbert And check and put some pressure
- 52:12Speaker 1: on THEN i Think washington has a chance to escape with.
- 52:14Speaker 1: One we'll. See the night game is The patriots At.
- 52:19Speaker 1: Buffalo buffalo eight and a half point. Favorites all, right
- 52:22Speaker 1: this is this is time for The New England. PATRIOTS
- 52:26Speaker 1: i told you about That carolina game where the stat
- 52:29Speaker 1: sheet they were completely outplayed but somehow won the game
- 52:32Speaker 1: by twenty nine. Points you, Know they've got wins against
- 52:35Speaker 1: The dolphins and The, panthers, who let's face, it those
- 52:38Speaker 1: are not impressive. Wins they've lost to The, steelers they've
- 52:41Speaker 1: lost to The. Raiders SO i don't know what to
- 52:44Speaker 1: make of The, patriots BUT i do like the Way
- 52:46Speaker 1: trake may is. Playing he's not afraid to let it,
- 52:49Speaker 1: loose make some good. Throws it's been spreading the ball.
- 52:52Speaker 1: Around Steph diggs finally got involved in their, offense and
- 52:56Speaker 1: this is like their first prime time game in a,
- 52:59Speaker 1: long long. Time all, right these you Got Drake, may
- 53:03Speaker 1: you Got Mike rabel as your head. Coach you go
- 53:06Speaker 1: out and get guys Like Milton williams is a little banged.
- 53:08Speaker 1: Up you go out and get guys Like Steph. Diggs
- 53:12Speaker 1: you spend some money on a cornerback for this. Game
- 53:17Speaker 1: you want to show the world that you are ready to,
- 53:20Speaker 1: compete and no one is expecting you to go beat
- 53:23Speaker 1: The bills In. Buffalo we know that doesn't. Happen but
- 53:25Speaker 1: what you're trying to do is to go Into buffalo
- 53:29Speaker 1: and feel good about yourselves after the. Game the spread
- 53:32Speaker 1: is eight and a. Half can you keep it to six?
- 53:35Speaker 1: Points can you make it? Three can you make Josh
- 53:39Speaker 1: alan sweat just a little bit? Defensively can you threaten
- 53:44Speaker 1: The bills, defense which can at times be? Suspect all?
- 53:48Speaker 1: Right can you show The bills and the world on
- 53:52Speaker 1: NATIONAL tv that you are coming into your Own that
- 53:58Speaker 1: is the question for the New. PATRIOTS i don't think
- 54:01Speaker 1: anybody expects them to. Win if they do, that that's,
- 54:03Speaker 1: gravy that is. Unbelievable then all of a, sudden you
- 54:06Speaker 1: make a big. Statement BUT i think The, Bills i'm,
- 54:09Speaker 1: sorry The patriots can even make a little bit of
- 54:11Speaker 1: a statement about what they're going to be and how
- 54:15Speaker 1: they're coming to come together if they can just make
- 54:19Speaker 1: The bill sweat it a little, bit because they. Haven't
- 54:22Speaker 1: nobody's been able to do, that and The patriots certainly
- 54:25Speaker 1: haven't been able to do that in quite a. While excuse,
- 54:29Speaker 1: me all, right last, thing The monday night. Matchup The
- 54:33Speaker 1: chiefs are at The Jags Kansas. City, now it's funny
- 54:38Speaker 1: how the flip Gets i'm, sorry the script gets flipped very.
- 54:43Speaker 1: Quickly it was just a couple of weeks. Ago Kansas
- 54:45Speaker 1: city was underdogs at home to An eagles. Team right
- 54:49Speaker 1: then they play fairly well on a, loss and then
- 54:51Speaker 1: they go travel across and beat The, giants and they
- 54:55Speaker 1: come home and take advantage of a bruised and Battered
- 54:58Speaker 1: ravens team and they get a really big. Win all,
- 55:01Speaker 1: right that was a, huge huge win for The Kansas City.
- 55:05Speaker 1: Chiefs make no mistake about. It they are two and
- 55:07Speaker 1: two now they Got Xavier worthy back running the ball
- 55:11Speaker 1: a little bit. Better they scored thirty seven, points which
- 55:15Speaker 1: it feels like it's been a long time since The
- 55:18Speaker 1: chiefs had put a lot of points like that on.
- 55:20Speaker 1: Somebody they used to do, it you, know every other.
- 55:22Speaker 1: Week they used to average thirty seven. Points the last
- 55:25Speaker 1: time they had scored thirty points in a game was week,
- 55:29Speaker 1: twelve the week before and. So and they only did
- 55:33Speaker 1: it twice last year against The panthers and against The,
- 55:37Speaker 1: bucks so already they this, year they creep back and
- 55:41Speaker 1: get themselves a, big big win against The. Ravens and
- 55:47Speaker 1: you know, what that game is always meaningful in for
- 55:51Speaker 1: a lot of. Reasons they usually wind up playing each
- 55:52Speaker 1: other at some point again in the. Playoffs so now
- 55:56Speaker 1: The chiefs are two and two and they go on
- 55:58Speaker 1: the road against a three One jaguars team that is
- 56:01Speaker 1: off to a good. Start but guess who's the. Favorite
- 56:04Speaker 1: The chiefs Are AND i guess that's because, people and
- 56:07Speaker 1: you can add myself into this, list people are not
- 56:10Speaker 1: convinced that The jaguars are that good of a. Team,
- 56:15Speaker 1: offensively they are somewhat. Ugly they did get a win
- 56:19Speaker 1: against the forty nine. ERS i know the forty nine
- 56:21Speaker 1: ers are kicking. Themselves they made some mistakes in that,
- 56:24Speaker 1: game and then of course there was some shenanigans after
- 56:28Speaker 1: the game Between jaggs head Coach Liam cohen and the
- 56:32Speaker 1: defensive coordinator for The, Niners Robert, sala which made everybody
- 56:36Speaker 1: wonder who would win in a coaching. Fight that was.
- 56:38Speaker 1: FUN i think The jags can make their biggest statement
- 56:42Speaker 1: yet if they can beat The. CHIEFS i don't think they.
- 56:44Speaker 1: WILL i think that they're just not playing, offensively very
- 56:50Speaker 1: solidly right. NOW i, mean you would have told me
- 56:54Speaker 1: that they're gonna be three to one And, lawrence you,
- 56:55Speaker 1: know in his last, game was gonna throw for just
- 56:57Speaker 1: one hundred and seventy four, yards but that they'd beunning
- 57:00Speaker 1: the ball really. Well that is the surprise to. Me
- 57:03Speaker 1: that The jaguars are running the, ball and their offensive
- 57:05Speaker 1: line is playing, well and their defense has become a
- 57:10Speaker 1: takeaway deef and they've got they had two interceptions last
- 57:13Speaker 1: week From Devin, lloyd their. Linebacker BUT i don't, know
- 57:18Speaker 1: WHEN i look at them, overall IF i think that
- 57:21Speaker 1: they've got enough to be a Resurgent Kansas city. Team
- 57:25Speaker 1: if they, do THEN i got to reevaluate because right
- 57:27Speaker 1: now their wins are against The, panthers The texans who
- 57:31Speaker 1: were winless at the, time and then of, course you
- 57:33Speaker 1: know that was a good win Against San. Francisco i'm
- 57:36Speaker 1: not taking anything away from. Them a little bit of
- 57:39Speaker 1: a strange game and how it. Unfolded they got a
- 57:42Speaker 1: punt return basically to pull away there in the third.
- 57:45Speaker 1: Quarter but you, know we have to Remember perty was
- 57:49Speaker 1: playing hurt in that game through a couple of bad.
- 57:51Speaker 1: INTERCEPTIONS i Think pierceall got hurt in that. GAME i
- 57:55Speaker 1: don't know the forty nine ers kind of weave in
- 57:57Speaker 1: and weave out between being injured and having everybody and.
- 58:00Speaker 1: Not BUT i still have to Give JAG's. Credit but you,
- 58:03Speaker 1: know The jags win the. Game they were four or
- 58:05Speaker 1: fourteen one third. Down that's not. Good they have three
- 58:07Speaker 1: hundred and twenty five total, yards The niners at three
- 58:10Speaker 1: hundred and eighty. Nine they had five point two yards
- 58:13Speaker 1: per per touch The niners at six point. Two so
- 58:16Speaker 1: really it's the four turnovers that The niners, had the two,
- 58:20Speaker 1: interceptions two FUMBLES i believe it, was and then along
- 58:23Speaker 1: with the punt return that The jags had for a
- 58:26Speaker 1: touchdown By Penn Stater Parker washington that propelled. THEM i
- 58:30Speaker 1: don't think that The jaguars are ready to hang with
- 58:33Speaker 1: a team like The. Chiefs as long as The chiefs
- 58:37Speaker 1: Have Xavier worthy and Are, someway you'll Have Travis kelsey
- 58:41Speaker 1: and are getting. Healthier and, boy if The chiefs can
- 58:44Speaker 1: get to three and two after starting off zero and
- 58:47Speaker 1: two and then you only GOT i think one more
- 58:49Speaker 1: game left until you Get Rashi rice, back then you
- 58:53Speaker 1: would expect that The chiefs are going to be sitting
- 58:55Speaker 1: pretty there at three and. Two they'll have The lions up,
- 58:59Speaker 1: there So i'll be their last game Without, worthy, uh
- 59:03Speaker 1: and then their schedule. Goes, Raiders, commanders The bills will be,
- 59:07Speaker 1: tough The broncos will be. Tough but these are winnable
- 59:10Speaker 1: games when you're The chiefs and you're at full strength
- 59:13Speaker 1: and you just start to get you start to see
- 59:15Speaker 1: The chiefs start to stack wins. Again but it's got
- 59:18Speaker 1: to start with going Into jacksonville and getting a win
- 59:21Speaker 1: in that. Game and that is the slate of games
- 59:24Speaker 1: for the. WEEK i will give you my three picks,
- 59:27Speaker 1: Here Sky Motor cars And West.
- 59:29Speaker 2: Guts there's a different building dealers and all The texas

- 59:48Speaker 2: Necessary there's A skymotorcars dot com today are called six,
- 59:52Speaker 2: ten nine to, one, eight seven.
- 59:54Speaker 1: Five i'm just gonna let you Know i'm the same
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: pattern as last. YEAR i went one and. Two i'm. Sorry,
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: YEAH i went one and two last, week which broke
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: my streak of going oh and three in weeks two
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: and week. Three SO i got a little bit, better
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: but overall three and, Nine and that's just a sign
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: of how unpredictable the games are earlier in the. Year
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: but here are my. Picks, oh by the, way SO i.
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: LOST i picked The chargers to cover six and a
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: half over The. Giants they obviously lost that. GAME i
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: picked The vikings to cover the two and a half
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: favorite over The. Steelers they. Lost, Uh AND i did
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: take The, chiefs getting two and a half against The
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: ravens and they won, Outright so that was my win
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: in that. ONE i feel better about my picks this.
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: Week even last WEEK i wasn't. Sure this, WEEK i
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: feel a little bit. BETTER i liked The colts six
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: and a half point favorites at home against The. RAIDERS
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: i like The colts to. COVER i like The cowboys
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: one and a half point favorites on the road against The.
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: Jets NOW i get a little pause because every time
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: a team like The jets starts off oh and three
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: zero to four, five you know they're not gonna go
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: oh in. Seventeen so there's gonna be a win coming.
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: Somewhere BUT i, AGAIN i just don't see how this just,
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: defense unless it doesn't about, face has any answer for
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: what The cowboys can do. Offensively SO i like The
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: cowboys to cover the one and a half and The,
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: chiefs if you couldn't tell by my game, BREAKDOWN i
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: like The chiefs even with the three and a half
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: point road favorites In. Jacksonville So colts cover the six
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: and a half against The, Raiders chiefs cover three and
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: a half at The, jags and The cowboys cover one
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: and a half at The. Jets those are my picks
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: for this. Week AS i say every, week thanks for
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: Watching The inside The Birds week FIVE Nfl preview. Show
