- 0:00Speaker 1: All right, Steve, here we are our last break of
- 0:02Speaker 1: the day. We had a caller earlier who had something
- 0:06Speaker 1: to say to you. Let's play that. Let me here,
- 0:09Speaker 1: shall we see?
- 0:10Speaker 2: Hard dis missed his explicity for you.
- 0:12Speaker 3: I just heard part of your broadcast about you opening
- 0:15Speaker 3: the website.
- 0:15Speaker 2: Seeing don't say that. You know you're like a role model,
- 0:19Speaker 2: but you speak any bodies use were like them? Ain't
- 0:22Speaker 2: And earlier in the broadcast you were talking.
- 0:24Speaker 3: About murals, scruples, values, and reference to two sisters screwing
- 0:30Speaker 3: the same guy.
- 0:31Speaker 2: Where are your morals and values for being an.
- 0:35Speaker 3: Impactful, positive role model for younger kids? You encouraged mentally
- 0:42Speaker 3: talented or underserved black kids to use broken English.
- 0:47Speaker 2: You should be ashamed of yourself. Do better, man.
- 0:50Speaker 4: You know.
- 0:52Speaker 2: I got this.
- 0:52Speaker 4: Call and it's funny to me. How people are you
- 0:57Speaker 4: gotta do? Better? Man? First of all, I was talk
- 1:00Speaker 4: by my father. If you are going to say something,
- 1:04Speaker 4: then be a man about it. Number one rule of
- 1:07Speaker 4: manhood my father taught me was do what you say
- 1:10Speaker 4: you gonna do. These are my closing remarks today, So
- 1:14Speaker 4: in honor of the call, First of all, brother, I
- 1:19Speaker 4: accept your critique, but it would admit more to me
- 1:23Speaker 4: had you said your name, because see what amazes me
- 1:26Speaker 4: about people is when you come for famous people, you
- 1:31Speaker 4: use it because you finally get to say something to
- 1:33Speaker 4: the famous person. But you wanna do yours in anonymity.
- 1:37Speaker 4: You wanna live yours in obscurity. You wanna stay behind
- 1:40Speaker 4: the scenes, you wanna throw the rock from behind the bushes.
- 1:44Speaker 4: Say your name. Now you're telling me that I, as
- 1:51Speaker 4: a person, are to be shamed of myself and do
- 1:54Speaker 4: better because I'm supposed to be a role model for people,
- 1:58Speaker 4: but I use words like them and ain't. And then
- 2:02Speaker 4: you're talking about these two women that was sleeping with
- 2:05Speaker 4: the same man. Where are your mails and your scruples?
- 2:09Speaker 4: You got to be more impactful for young people? Do
- 2:13Speaker 4: I really well? I've had a minoring camp for fifteen years.
- 2:18Speaker 4: We more mooment more than that. What am I talking about?
- 2:22Speaker 4: I've had my minoring camp seventeen over twenty some years.
- 2:28Speaker 4: I have impacted thousands of young boys and young girls' lives.
- 2:35Speaker 4: I put my money where my mouth is. I spend
- 2:39Speaker 4: more money on my minoring camp than I do on
- 2:43Speaker 4: just about anything. People don't know that because I get
- 2:47Speaker 4: very little corporate support I get very few donations. I
- 2:51Speaker 4: want to think of people like Lows and Coca Cola
- 2:54Speaker 4: that has helped me over the years. Choice Hotels has
- 2:58Speaker 4: helped me over the years. You know, people like that
- 3:02Speaker 4: Lexus who has supported my menory in camp through the
- 3:05Speaker 4: golf tournament. Stuff like that. A lot of people have,
- 3:09Speaker 4: but it's not to the tune where it completes the deal.
- 3:12Speaker 4: I gotta put a lot of money up for that.
- 3:14Speaker 2: Now.
- 3:15Speaker 4: I understand what you're saying, brother, but I'm not here
- 3:18Speaker 4: to impact how you talk. I'm how to impact. I'm
- 3:21Speaker 4: here to impact how you live. I don't care how
- 3:24Speaker 4: you talk. Talking is not a measure of success to me.
- 3:30Speaker 4: To be well spoken. I guess that's a cool thing.
- 3:32Speaker 4: I ain't saying you shouldn't be well spoken, but I'm
- 3:35Speaker 4: telling you right now, and you can see by my
- 3:37Speaker 4: work on television, radio or wherever you listen to me
- 3:40Speaker 4: at it ain't a criteria for success. But if you
- 3:44Speaker 4: want to make it that, that's fine. If I was
- 3:45Speaker 4: an English teacher, I guess I wouldn't be able to
- 3:47Speaker 4: do it. If I was a professor, if I was
- 3:49Speaker 4: standing up in front of people speaking in a classroom setting,
- 3:52Speaker 4: I guess I wouldn't be able to make it. I
- 3:56Speaker 4: speak well enough to get the point across. But at
- 4:01Speaker 4: the same time, doog you do know I'm a comedian.
- 4:06Speaker 4: That ever crossed your mind? And I'll say that again,
- 4:09Speaker 4: that ever crossed your mind? D A T that that
- 4:13Speaker 4: ever crossed your mind? And to be honest with you, brouh,
- 4:19Speaker 4: I don't really care. I don't try that hard to
- 4:23Speaker 4: speak proper. It ain't really that important to me. The
- 4:27Speaker 4: importance to me is the message. And when it's time
- 4:31Speaker 4: for me to deliver the message, I'll stand on that. Oh,
- 4:35Speaker 4: I'll stand on that, Nat. And that is a bug
- 4:39Speaker 4: and it's not even spelled that way. It really starts
- 4:42Speaker 4: with the K. But I'll stand on that because NAT,
- 4:45Speaker 4: right there, that is a little pesky ass insanct, just
- 4:49Speaker 4: like your phone call.
- 4:50Speaker 2: Was what caller?
- 4:53Speaker 4: A NAT? What starts with the letter G not K? No, no, no, gnat.
- 5:02Speaker 4: That's what I was talking about. You don't pronounce the
- 5:05Speaker 4: G G N A T. Who knew that? Why would
- 5:13Speaker 4: I pronounce a letter that you is silent? See right there,
- 5:19Speaker 4: that's the logic I've been living on the whole time. Caller,
- 5:25Speaker 4: that's the logic I've been living on Why would I
- 5:28Speaker 4: care to spell a word that got a letter in it?
- 5:30Speaker 4: That's silent? Phone ain't really supposed to be with no
- 5:35Speaker 4: p p H. It's supposed to be with the el
- 5:39Speaker 4: Really doog. You don't let white folk fool you all
- 5:43Speaker 4: these years. You've been listening to them tell you all
- 5:48Speaker 4: the wrong information. That's why you are where you are
- 5:53Speaker 4: and why I am where how I'm is. That's why
- 6:00Speaker 4: broke the rules. I don't decided I wasn't fitting to
- 6:05Speaker 4: be normal, fitting there normal. I was gonna be different.
- 6:11Speaker 4: They don't pay nobody to be normal. You are paid
- 6:15Speaker 4: to be different. Steve Harvey Morning Show, Stannon, Oh bidness
