In today’s reading, David leads us through three powerful expressions of faith. Psalm 20 is a prayer of confidence before battle, declaring trust in God rather than earthly strength. Psalm 21 celebrates God's victory and blessing after deliverance has come. Psalm 22 moves into the depths of suffering and abandonment, beginning with the words, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” before ending with hope, praise, and a vision of all nations worshiping the Lord.
