Speaker 1: Wow, what is up?
• 0:11
Speaker 2: It is a Friday between this time for another edition
• 0:14
Speaker 2: of the Stardom Citam Show. I am Marcus Grant, joined
• 0:16
Speaker 2: by Michael lef Floyer, who writes the start Sit column.
• 0:19
Speaker 2: Every week you can find an NFL dot com slash
• 0:22
Speaker 2: starts to sit, And we got the Kawan Jones, who
• 0:24
Speaker 2: does not write the start Sit column, but he apparently
• 0:27
Speaker 2: is fascinated with strawberries. Now that's good enough to get
• 0:29
Speaker 2: him on this show. How hard was it writing it
• 0:32
Speaker 2: in by mcgeddon Part two?
• 0:34
Speaker 3: Honestly, it was easier because I was like, you know what,
• 0:37
Speaker 3: I'm gonna have some fun with it and I'm gonna
• 0:39
Speaker 3: throw out some names that I normally don't And the
• 0:41
Speaker 3: CITs are a lot easier in weeks like this because
• 0:43
Speaker 3: any big name player you're probably starting. So, yeah, don't
• 0:47
Speaker 3: come for me and be like you're telling me to sit, guys,
• 0:49
Speaker 3: I normally sit. Yeah, there's six teams on by that's
• 0:51
Speaker 3: how it works, Lol.
• 0:52
Speaker 1: Don't come for me, like the Internet's going to listen
• 0:54
  Speaker 1: to that anyway.
• 0:56
Speaker 2: Don't come for him anyway, but you canna find him
• 0:58
Speaker 2: on Twitter, ex Blue Sky, Blue Sky social media. Social
• 1:03
Speaker 2: media dot com is where you can find Michael left
• 1:06
Speaker 2: Florio if you have complaints that you want to register
• 1:08
Speaker 2: that he can ignore easily.
• 1:10
Speaker 1: Anyway, it's get the quarterbacks your starts and sits for
• 1:12
  Speaker 1: the week.
• 1:12
Speaker 3: I'm starting Baker Mayfield, who has been very, very safe
• 1:16
Speaker 3: this year. Good match against the Raiders, Like, I don't
• 1:19
Speaker 3: see why you would not start him. Sam Donald, Like,
• 1:22
Speaker 3: twenty twenty four has been a weird year, and maybe
• 1:24
Speaker 3: the weirdest part of it is that Sam Donald is
• 1:26
Speaker 3: one of the very safest quarterbacks in fantasy, and he
• 1:29
Speaker 3: gets a good matchup against the Falcons justin Herbert. I
• 1:32
Speaker 3: think he's gonna have to throw a lot in this one.
• 1:34
Speaker 3: The Chief secondary has struggled as of late and they
• 1:36
Speaker 3: are elite against the run. And then I have Matthew
• 1:39
Speaker 3: Stafford against my Buffalo Bills for a similar thing. I
• 1:42
Speaker 3: know they're gonna run all over the Bills, but I
• 1:44
Speaker 3: think if it's a shootout, we could get Stafford throwing.
• 1:47
Speaker 3: And I always trust Pooka and Cooper regardless of who
• 1:49
Speaker 3: the secondary on the other side is. And then some sits.
• 1:53
Speaker 3: I have two a tongue of Bai Looa as a sit.
• 1:55
Speaker 3: Tough matchup against the Jets one of the toughest for
• 1:57
Speaker 3: a quarterback. He doesn't have a lot of success against
• 1:59
Speaker 3: them in his career, and I don't think he's gonna
• 2:02
Speaker 3: be in ketchup mode or anything like that. I have
• 2:04
Speaker 3: Gino Smith as a sit this week. Despite throwing the
• 2:07
Speaker 3: ball a bunch. Gino has just three games this year
• 2:09
Speaker 3: with more than eighteen Fantasy points, and he got shut
• 2:12
Speaker 3: down two weeks ago in Seattle against his Cardinals secondary Uh.
• 2:16
Speaker 3: Caleb Williams, this is one I went back and forth on,
• 2:19
Speaker 3: but ultimately I was like, the Niners do generate pressure,
• 2:22
Speaker 3: they do get sacks in an above league average rate,
• 2:25
Speaker 3: and they they have made life tough on quarterbacks this year.
• 2:27
Speaker 3: So this is a big test for Caleb and then
• 2:30
Speaker 3: Kirk Cousins. This one I did not go back and
• 2:32
Speaker 3: forth on at all. This was the easiest call in
• 2:34
Speaker 3: the world. I am not starting Kirk Cousins the rest
• 2:37
Speaker 3: of the year. I saw enough in Week thirteen that
• 2:39
Speaker 3: I was like, there's no way I could.
• 2:40
Speaker 1: Trust even in a revenge game. Huh.
• 2:42
Speaker 3: Even look the revenge, the Vikings are gonna be high
• 2:45
Speaker 3: fiving each other like we made the right call.
• 2:48
Speaker 4: Yeah, that revenge. What is that when you're I guess
• 2:51
Speaker 4: on the other side of revenge, but it's not revenge.
• 2:53
Speaker 4: You just kind of just pushed him down like a
• 2:55
Speaker 4: little kid, like we already know what we knew what
• 2:59
Speaker 4: the outcome is going to be.
• 3:01
Speaker 1: Like no, I think it's just called bullying. I think
• 3:03
Speaker 1: at that point is what it is.
• 3:04
Speaker 2: There you go, there, you go, lakwan. Do you want
• 3:06
Speaker 2: to ask you though about your guy Matthew Stafford, right?
• 3:08
Speaker 2: I mean, because he's had good run lately, the Bills
• 3:10
Speaker 2: have been tough on quarterbacks. I mean, how do you
• 3:13
Speaker 2: feel about him this week against Buffalo?
• 3:15
Speaker 4: This one I'm on the fence, but like Florio said,
• 3:17
Speaker 4: it's by him again, you got six teams on buy.
• 3:19
Speaker 4: I wouldn't be starting in this week just because I
• 3:21
Speaker 4: know the Wolves that we've been battling. I mean, we
• 3:23
Speaker 4: showed improvement on third down. We showed improvement in red
• 3:26
Speaker 4: zone against the Saints, and this is some of the
• 3:28
Speaker 4: strengths of the Buffalo Bills defense. It's keeping folks out
• 3:31
Speaker 4: of the end zone, excuse me, and stopping you know,
• 3:34
Speaker 4: drive short and you know, cutting it down on third down.
• 3:36
Speaker 4: So I think it's going to be a huge test
• 3:38
Speaker 4: for him. But I think the success of the Rams
• 3:40
Speaker 4: offense is going to be on the ground, all right.
• 3:43
Speaker 1: So there you go with the quarterbacks is move over
• 3:45
Speaker 1: to running backs? Who do you like it? Who did
• 3:46
Speaker 1: you not like this week?
• 3:48
Speaker 3: Look, Lakwan's gonna love this one. I think Kyan Williams
• 3:51
Speaker 3: is a mustard option this week against the Bills. I
• 3:53
Speaker 3: know people were a little worried about him after a
• 3:55
Speaker 3: couple of down games.
• 3:56
Speaker 1: I'm not at all.
• 3:58
Speaker 3: I think Tony Pollard is a smash star this week
• 4:00
Speaker 3: in a fantastic matchup against the Jaguars Isaiah Pacheco. Look,
• 4:05
Speaker 3: if there was no teams on By this week, maybe
• 4:07
Speaker 3: I would try to get away from him. But with
• 4:09
Speaker 3: six teams on By, I think it is worth getting
• 4:12
Speaker 3: him into your lineup. And then Tyrone Tracy Junior a
• 4:15
Speaker 3: lot of volume, pretty safe floor, some upside there in
• 4:19
Speaker 3: a fantastic matchup against the Saints, and then my sits
• 4:23
Speaker 3: drive a set and look, six teams are on by.
• 4:25
  Speaker 3: I don't care. I don't see any way you could
• 4:27
Speaker 3: start him. He's been in single digit Fantasy points every
• 4:30
Speaker 3: game since he has returned. Gus Edwards because the explosiveness
• 4:34
Speaker 3: isn't there he's still sharing the backfield even though they're JK.
• 4:37
Speaker 3: Dobbins and the Chiefs have been the toughest matchup. If
• 4:40
Speaker 3: your name isn't Sincere McCormick, you probably have not had
• 4:43
Speaker 3: success running against the Chiefs this year. Nick Chubb, I
• 4:46
Speaker 3: know he's scored three touchdowns in his last two games.
• 4:48
Speaker 3: He is so touchdown dependent though, I just I don't
• 4:52
Speaker 3: want to start him if I don't have to, and
• 4:54
Speaker 3: then Kareem Hunt. It was fun for a while, but
• 4:56
Speaker 3: there's no explosiveness there so without with him losing the
• 4:59
Speaker 3: volume now he is just like a top handcuffy one
• 5:02
Speaker 3: on your bench, but not in your starting line up.
• 5:03
Speaker 2: Yeah, and I mean that's the thing, like you might
• 5:05
Speaker 2: not be able to start Kareem Hunt. I would hold
• 5:06
Speaker 2: on to Kareem Hunt in the event something happens to
• 5:09
Speaker 2: isaiahpachek Oh. He walks back in to a big opportunity.
• 5:12
Speaker 2: El Q the I want to ask you about Tyrone
• 5:13
Speaker 2: Tracy right because we've loved him for a few weeks,
• 5:16
Speaker 2: had some fumbling issues. We started to see more Devin Singletarry,
• 5:19
Speaker 2: But are you still confident that this is Tracy's backfield?
• 5:23
Speaker 4: I think this is the confidence booster that he constantly.
• 5:25
Speaker 4: You know, you have to give into these rookie running backs,
• 5:28
Speaker 4: and you know the fumbling issues is obviously going to
• 5:30
Speaker 4: put you in the doghouse. But he's actually been getting
• 5:32
Speaker 4: more involved in the passing game. If you look at
• 5:34
Speaker 4: last game, he was running some routes out there, getting
• 5:36
Speaker 4: in a couple of catches. So therefore, against his Saints,
• 5:39
Speaker 4: I think you saw last week Kyron Williams and Blake
• 5:42
Speaker 4: korm have that back and forth and found success on
• 5:44
Speaker 4: the ground. I think this is the matchup for Tyrone
• 5:47
Speaker 4: Tracy to get back to being explosive, to get back
• 5:49
Speaker 4: to being a solid RB two with a decent floor.
• 5:52
Speaker 4: So I think this is going to be a great
• 5:54
Speaker 4: week for him to get back on track.
• 5:56
Speaker 2: All right, let's go to the wide receivers. Who are
• 5:58
Speaker 2: your starts and sins for Week fourteen.
• 6:00
Speaker 3: Starting Drake London and Darnell Mooney giving him another shot
• 6:03
Speaker 3: in this good matchup. The Vikings play a lot of
• 6:06
Speaker 3: zone and split safety coverage, and London and Mooney have
• 6:09
Speaker 3: had success against them. They're both in the top ten
• 6:11
Speaker 3: in yards against split safety. Jacobe Myers, I just keep
• 6:14
Speaker 3: saying it. I think he is like the most underrated
• 6:16
Speaker 3: wide receiver in fantasy. He's been averaging nearly sixteen Fantasy
• 6:21
Speaker 3: points per game since DeVante Adams left Safe Floor high upside,
• 6:24
Speaker 3: and the Bucks are in the top six and fantasy
• 6:27
Speaker 3: points allowed to wide receivers. And then this is one
• 6:29
Speaker 3: that I've gone on every show I've been on this
• 6:31
Speaker 3: week and said to start Marquez Valdez Scantling. I know
• 6:34
Speaker 3: it sounds wild, but he's averaged eighteen Fantasy points per
• 6:37
Speaker 3: game in his last three and the Giants are the
• 6:39
Speaker 3: best matchup for deep ball wide receivers. And then sits Marcus,
• 6:44
Speaker 3: I know you agree with this one, even though you're
• 6:46
Speaker 3: not gonna like it. Deebo Samuel. It just keeps getting
• 6:49
Speaker 3: worse and worse and worse for Deebo. And now I
• 6:52
Speaker 3: think he's gonna be used as a runner more often,
• 6:54
Speaker 3: which some people might think it's a good thing. To me,
• 6:56
Speaker 3: I'm like, we're losing all the valuable points he gets
• 6:58
Speaker 3: for catching passes there. So I have him as a
• 7:01
Speaker 3: sit if you can get away in a tough match
• 7:03
Speaker 3: up against the Bears. Jalen Waddle a couple of weeks
• 7:05
Speaker 3: ago was really fun, but he was back to his
• 7:07
Speaker 3: usual ways last week, and he gets a really tough
• 7:10
Speaker 3: matchup against the Jets, Adam feeling someone that I want
• 7:12
Speaker 3: on my roster, just not in my lineup against the Eagles,
• 7:15
Speaker 3: who have been playing lights out their secondary as of late.
• 7:19
Speaker 3: And then Roma Dunze it's just not happening. And the
• 7:22
Speaker 3: forty nine Ers are bottom two in yards against out
• 7:24
Speaker 3: wide wide receivers and that's where he runs the bulk
• 7:26
  Speaker 3: of his routes.
• 7:27
Speaker 1: Yeah, you mentioned Debo, especially using him as a runner.
• 7:30
Speaker 2: It seems as though those Jets sweeps that were so
• 7:33
Speaker 2: effective a couple of years ago not hitting the way they.
• 7:36
Speaker 1: Used to in that offense for the forty nine Ers.
• 7:40
Speaker 2: So I would at because Florida obviously big on MVS.
• 7:43
Speaker 2: Lak Wan won't get your thoughts MVS as as a
• 7:45
  Speaker 2: starter this.
• 7:46
Speaker 4: Week, absolutely, man, the big players is there and you
• 7:49
Speaker 4: love seeing him being used more as all around, you know,
• 7:52
Speaker 4: wide receiver. He's getting short routes, he's getting you know,
• 7:54
Speaker 4: intermediate looks from Derek Carr. But it's that deep ball
• 7:57
Speaker 4: that you know you just bank on to have that boom.
• 8:00
Speaker 4: But it's been booming for the last couple of games,
• 8:02
Speaker 4: So why not start.
• 8:03
Speaker 2: Him all right, So we are buying in on Marcuez
• 8:07
Speaker 2: Valdez Scantling, who once by a time was one of
• 8:08
Speaker 2: the top cardio kings out there, but now might get
• 8:11
Speaker 2: some reward to go along with all the steps that
• 8:14
Speaker 2: he is getting in.
• 8:15
Speaker 1: Finalists turn to tight ends. Who do you like? Who
• 8:17
Speaker 1: do you not like?
• 8:18
Speaker 2: And there's a name that you like that I'm sure
• 8:20
Speaker 2: La Kwan doesn't like for obvious reasons.
• 8:23
Speaker 3: Look, I'm just making sure that the world knows. I
• 8:25
Speaker 3: wrote about it and started to sit him. I talked
• 8:27
Speaker 3: about it on Fantasy Live. Everyone in this building is
• 8:30
Speaker 3: rooting for it now. John new Smith started. Look one,
• 8:33
Speaker 3: he is the tight end one in the last month.
• 8:35
Speaker 3: Two he is the Titan five on the year, much
• 8:37
Speaker 3: to Lakwan's hairs disappointment. And then three the Jets are
• 8:41
Speaker 3: great at limiting wide receivers, which could mean more volume
• 8:44
Speaker 3: for the tight end. I'm gonna go with Kate Aten.
• 8:47
Speaker 3: I have him as a start this week against the Raiders.
• 8:50
Speaker 3: I know that a has disappointed, but the Raiders have
• 8:53
Speaker 3: really struggled against tight ends as of late, so I'm
• 8:55
Speaker 3: giving him one more chance this week. With six teams on,
• 8:58
Speaker 3: buy will again disappointed last week, but the Chiefs most yards,
• 9:03
Speaker 3: third most Fantasy points per game to tight end six
• 9:06
Speaker 3: teams on by that gets him into play my sits.
• 9:09
Speaker 3: I'm not doing it with Juwan Johnson in a tough matchup.
• 9:11
Speaker 3: I don't see any way you trust Cole Comet and
• 9:14
Speaker 3: then my boy Kyle Pitts, like it just is not
• 9:19
Speaker 3: happening right now. I was telling you earlier, Marcus that,
• 9:22
Speaker 3: like on most of my Kyle Pitts teams, I don't
• 9:25
Speaker 3: love the waiver wire options. So I still have to
• 9:27
Speaker 3: start him. But if you have another tight end and
• 9:29
Speaker 3: or you could get away in some different way, I
• 9:32
Speaker 3: think I would try to zero points last week, thirteen
• 9:34
Speaker 3: and a half in his last four.
• 9:35
Speaker 1: So look what I'm doing.
• 9:36
Speaker 2: I want to ask you about Kyle Pitts because I
• 9:37
Speaker 2: know you weren't the Kyle Pitts guy this year.
• 9:40
Speaker 1: You bought in. Where are you right now? I'm the curse.
• 9:46
Speaker 1: I think we owe you.
• 9:47
Speaker 3: No, no, no, you're not like this has been going on.
• 9:49
Speaker 3: So I think heo you an apology for dragging you
• 9:52
Speaker 3: on board with this.
• 9:53
  Speaker 1: I think you.
• 9:54
Speaker 4: Guys brought me on the button and then it just
• 9:56
Speaker 4: sunk all to the bottom damn Lake, because Wow, this
• 10:00
Speaker 4: ride is very emotional, Like I know what you guys
• 10:03
Speaker 4: have been going through now for these last couple of seasons.
• 10:06
Speaker 4: Like you go back and look at his rookie season,
• 10:08
Speaker 4: it was special Florio, Like it was one of those
• 10:10
Speaker 4: builders where you're like, oh, this is generational talent, like
• 10:13
Speaker 4: this is going to be the new like tight end
• 10:15
Speaker 4: standard when it comes to fantasy, and it's just has
• 10:18
Speaker 4: not worked out. I don't like, is he healthy?
• 10:20
Speaker 1: Like I hope he is?
• 10:21
Speaker 4: Like what's going on?
• 10:23
Speaker 2: I mean, that's really what it's been at some point,
• 10:25
Speaker 2: and you start to wonder, maybe it's just that he
• 10:27
Speaker 2: was he's a big wide receiver who sort of dominated
• 10:31
Speaker 2: in college, but that hasn't really translated into the NFL.
• 10:34
  Speaker 1: Maybe it's usage.
• 10:35
Speaker 2: Maybe it's just that, you know, the skill set just
• 10:37
Speaker 2: doesn't quite apply at least in terms of what we
• 10:40
Speaker 2: were anticipating out of him. Maybe he hasn't have an
• 10:43
Speaker 2: ingram sort of you know, resurgence in a couple of years,
• 10:46
Speaker 2: but right now it's just not really working any income
• 10:48
Speaker 2: to la Hey, Look, I mean, look, I think he
• 10:51
Speaker 2: worked well. I'm sure Sean McVay could use a lot
• 10:53
Speaker 2: of ways I find a lot of ways to use
• 10:55
  Speaker 2: Him's just.
• 10:56
Speaker 4: To fix some organization.
• 10:58
Speaker 1: We could fix him, not have it. It's like we can,
• 11:01
Speaker 1: we can fix him.
• 11:01
Speaker 2: I love that anyway. It's just not happening for him
• 11:04
Speaker 2: in Atlanta. What is happening though, is the start sit article.
• 11:08
Speaker 2: You can find that at NFL dot com slash start
• 11:10
Speaker 2: hit to be sure to go over there and check
• 11:12
Speaker 2: it out for more in depth analysis of a lot
• 11:14
Speaker 2: of the names that Florio mentioned here. But that'll do
• 11:17
Speaker 2: it for this edition of the Stardom Centum Show. Appreciate
• 11:19
Speaker 2: you hanging out with us as always for the quand
• 11:21
Speaker 2: for Florya. I am Marcus, Thank you for listening. Enjoy
• 11:24
Speaker 2: the weekend. Hopefully it's a good one for you and
• 11:25
Speaker 2: we will talk to you again real soon
