- 0:07[SPEAKER_00]: Jacksonville Jaguar fans, welcome in to Dove All Daily, presented by GenJag.com.
- 0:11[SPEAKER_00]: I'm Jordan Aluga, thanks so much for being here Wednesday, December 10th.
- 0:14[SPEAKER_00]: Jaguar's.
- 0:16[SPEAKER_00]: It's been a few days since they obliterated the cults in Jacksonville, and I guess it's a downpour.
- 0:22[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it was raining pretty good the whole game, most of the game.
- 0:26[SPEAKER_00]: Jack's got it done in a big way against division rivals, nine and four, third place in the AFC, first place in the AFC South.
- 0:35[SPEAKER_00]: Business is not done.
- 0:36[SPEAKER_00]: They still have four games left.
- 0:39[SPEAKER_00]: Again, upcoming against the Jets, which we'll start previewing a lot tomorrow.
- 0:44[SPEAKER_00]: We'll hear from Liam Coen later today.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_00]: We'll talk about that later.
- 0:49[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, Jets, then at Broncos, at Colts,
- 0:54[SPEAKER_00]: Philip Rivers, Old Man Rivers, Grandpa Phil, and then finishing in Jacksonville against the Titans, which is such a fitting way to end a season, playing against the Titans, just based on the two teams in their history against each other.
- 1:10[SPEAKER_00]: So, Jag wars, they've won for an arrow.
- 1:16[SPEAKER_00]: They've scored over 30 points per game since the by week.
- 1:21[SPEAKER_00]: Over those last four games in which they've won all four games, four wins in a row.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_00]: They have outscored their opponents, 1, 23, to 52, an average score of 31 to 13.
- 1:34[SPEAKER_00]: It's insane.
- 1:37[SPEAKER_00]: So right now we're going to talk about, like, how have they become so much more consistent overnight?
- 1:42[SPEAKER_00]: How have they gotten so much better?
- 1:46[SPEAKER_00]: There's a lot of different ways to look at it.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_00]: that's what we're going to do here on this one really appreciate y'all be in here if you enjoy the content please like and subscribe again thank you so much for the positive feedback in the interactions and all the kind words that we've been receiving lately.
- 2:00[SPEAKER_00]: I do really appreciate all that stuff even if I don't respond to all of them because there's a lot of comments and stuff.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_00]: I genuinely appreciate every single one of y'all so thank you so much but
- 2:13[SPEAKER_00]: How have they become this, this team that, over the last four weeks has looked as good as any team in the league has has been dominating opponents, has been scoring consistently, moving the ball consistently, stopping their opponents defensively.
- 2:34[SPEAKER_00]: I think a lot of the credit has to go to the top, I mean,
- 2:38[SPEAKER_00]: the three at the top, James Gladstone, Tony Vicelli, Liam Cohen.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_00]: I think Liam Cohen and his ability with the X's and O's, I think with surrounding himself with other smart people, very important.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_00]: Same thing, Anthony Campany, I do, but their ability to lead, to connect.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's what's truly separating them right now
- 3:10[SPEAKER_00]: what has them instead of having a game against the Texans like they had and following a part like some teams do a lot of teams after your loss like they had to the Texans where you were up the way you're up 29 to 10 or whatever the heck it was.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_00]: And then you fall apart I mean that could be curtains on a team or a season.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_00]: That instead of
- 3:35[SPEAKER_00]: Sitting in the Jaguars in a tailspin, it was a springboard for them, and I credit the coaches and the players certainly, but the coaches for being able to draw that out of the players after a game like that.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_00]: So, just the leadership I think is special, but when you get to actual playing the game,
- 3:59[SPEAKER_00]: the passing attack.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_00]: I mean in a big way has been a catalyst for this kind of resurgence because you've seen the passing attack get going and you know again averaging over 30 points per game during these last six games you're you're figuring out how to attack down field.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_00]: Well how is that starting to work better?
- 4:21[SPEAKER_00]: Why are you able to attack down field?
- 4:23[SPEAKER_00]: Why are you able
- 4:28[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I think Paspro has improved.
- 4:31[SPEAKER_00]: Especially over the last four weeks, I mean, the two week links.
- 4:35[SPEAKER_00]: left tackle in right guard in past protection for a lot of the season over the last four games it's but those spots have been a lot better and it hasn't been just one play here at either of those spots.
- 4:45[SPEAKER_00]: At right guard you've seen Colvin and Landham play well, Patrick McCary has played well the last couple games games that he's been healthy he missed week 13 with a concussion but when he's been out there the last month he's been much better in past protection specifically.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_00]: and then when why am I on how to get in there he did a pretty good job and then at left tackle yeah walker little i mean he's had horrible games we've talked about that but has last two games before he got hurt work horrific he did have one really bad play against the titans but then you get called in line in there and he's been playing it so
- 5:27[SPEAKER_00]: Over the last four weeks, the last four games, those two spots have short up and then you have Ezra Cleveland, who's playing very good football for the Jaguars.
- 5:37[SPEAKER_00]: Robert Hainesy, who I know he struggled a little bit with Jeffrey Simmons and company, but he's been playing great football for the Jags and Anton Harrison, who's been really good for them as well.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_00]: So the past pro has really improved, okay?
- 5:49[SPEAKER_00]: Now, you can argue, has it improved against really good opponents?
- 5:54[SPEAKER_00]: We don't really know that yet.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I think the chargers have a pretty good front.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_00]: I think the cults have a pretty good front, like Leatu, Laatu got shut down, all the other guys got shut down in past pro.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_00]: So, yeah, they haven't done it against the Neal Hunter in company, which they might have to do in the playoffs.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_00]: But they've improved.
- 6:19[SPEAKER_00]: I think COVID and land, and if you keep him out there, you're in a much better spot.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_00]: And I think Benjamin Carey's played better.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_00]: So Trevor Lawrence, he is confident.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_00]: He can deliver the ball to guys down the field and that they will make the play.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_00]: He's been excellent, pre-snap all season, really.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_00]: He's showing great anticipation.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, on some of these throws, he is throwing the ball way before the receiver makes the break.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_00]: Way before the receiver's head turned.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_00]: He is, I think, since the Cardinals game, he and the offensive line have done a much better job at just identifying where rushers are coming from.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_00]: He's making big time throws.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I think since the buy, last six games, he's like second or third in the NFL in big time throws.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_00]: He's thrown a ton of touchdowns in that span.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, he's now on pace for over 30 total touchdowns.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_00]: There's here.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_00]: He has 23 touchdowns and 11 interception.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_00]: He's on pace for over 30 touchdowns, which would be the most of his career.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_00]: But you look at,
- 7:30[SPEAKER_00]: The, again, past pro improving, Trevor Lawrence getting more confidence in playing better.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_00]: Why has he got more confidence in playing better?
- 7:40[SPEAKER_00]: Jacobi Myers, the return of Brenton Strange, Brian Thomas Jr. getting back on the field, Tim Patrick becoming more of a weapon and making more plays, Parker Washington, you know, hopefully you can get him back soon, but you've just got guys making plays.
- 7:54[SPEAKER_00]: You've got Jacobi Myers and Brenton Strange have been two of the most efficient receivers in football when they've been on the field for the Jaguar this year.
- 8:04[SPEAKER_00]: So when you have a quarterback feeling good about the plan,
- 8:07[SPEAKER_00]: a coach and offensive coach who feels good about attacking downfield, and then guys who can make those plays, yeah, I mean, that's a recipe for success without question.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_00]: And it's not just the ability to attack downfield, like Liam Cohen's offense, strains of defense horizontally, vertically, you have misdirection, you have a lot of movement, like there's just a lot that's going on, and then Trevor understanding all that and being able to process it.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_00]: ETM hasn't been like perfect, I think the run blocking has left a little bit to be desired quite frankly in some spots, but Travis ETM has been excellent for the Jaguars.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_00]: Truly excellent.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_00]: He's so explosive, he is, I mean, his vision is so improved this year.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_00]: And I think part of that is just coaching.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_00]: I think part of that is focus, I think part of that is, and when I say coaching, I mean, actually teaching the fundamentals of these rushing attacks, of these rush plans, but then also like the connection, the drawing the most out of your players, like the Jaguar's coaching staff is doing that and instilling confidence in a way that they just weren't doing last year.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_00]: He's average in 4.6 yards of carry,
- 9:30[SPEAKER_00]: Nine hundred seventeen yards on the ground he's already passed a thousand total yards on the season he's he's been excellent for the jags and He's probably gonna get paid But he continues to to do a lot for the jags and They're rushing attack obviously you have Some young guys that I think that their effort on both sides of the ball has really raised
- 9:57[SPEAKER_00]: Raised kind of the floor of things and the ceiling in some ways with like Lee Quint Allen the way he brings the effort Really on offense and special teams Danny Strigo has been so good a massive W as a Undrafted free agent.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_00]: He's a playmaker.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_00]: He's a grinder He will give you everything.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_00]: He's got every single play and he just he makes plays and also different ways past rushing effort run defense
- 10:27[SPEAKER_00]: There's a lot of young guys like that that are really doing a lot.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_00]: I mentioned this earlier, Campanile and his ex is an hose, but he's gotten really re-diled in.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_00]: And there's still moments where you got the off coverage and you're giving up something and it's frustrating, but overall, the post-nap coverage rotations, the hunting from matchups up front, the showing blitz on most downs even when it's not coming.
- 10:53[SPEAKER_00]: opposing quarterbacks and offensive lines just don't know where the rush is coming from on a given play That's been really good.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_00]: I think the line-backer play they're understanding and the teaching by Tim Lu Khabu of this defense to these line-backers, you know, foiei, Devon, guardack, ventral when he's out there
- 11:11[SPEAKER_00]: There, they're hunting, I mean, they're looking for blood out there and that's been really cool to see because you knew that there was talent in that room.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_00]: There's one thing, Trent Balky, in shirt, it was that he was going to have a talented line-backer group and he did.
- 11:25[SPEAKER_00]: But that coaching staff didn't always get the most out of them previously.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm younger guys that have just really stepped up and been excellent, and I don't mean the rookies, but like, Buster Brown, final year of his rookie deal, Antonio Johnson and his third year, these are guys in the second area that have been playing incredible football lately.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_00]: Antonio Johnson has been truly excellent outside of a few moments here and there, he's been a positive impact and Buster Brown, same thing.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_00]: Um, I didn't get an Eric Murray back as big, you know, starting safety, doing it will be back at some point to Greg Newsom is making plays a little bit more lately.
- 12:08[SPEAKER_00]: I think he had a little bit of a wake-up call with not being on the field as much.
- 12:14[SPEAKER_00]: Got to give a ton of credit to Cam Little, 11 and 11 since week nine.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_00]: 11 of 11 since week nine has not missed a field goal.
- 12:24[SPEAKER_00]: So he was going through such a tough stretch.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_00]: This team and again, this is a credit to the coaching staff.
- 12:29[SPEAKER_00]: This team stuck with him.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_00]: They provided him confidence publicly, privately.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_00]: They did everything that they should be doing to support a player who is as talented as Cam Little.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_00]: And I know it's difficult to feel that way because kicker is a fickle position and fans see kicker's not doing well and you just like, oh gosh, it's over.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_00]: But hey, they stuck with the kid and he has been money for them in a lot of big moments and helping them put up points on the board.
- 12:55[SPEAKER_00]: I think that toughness is unquestioned from this football team, top to bottom, belief
- 13:04[SPEAKER_00]: in the process and the coaching staff and the players in the building, all-time high, the energy is extremely high.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_00]: Focus.
- 13:16[SPEAKER_00]: And all those things are instilled from the top down, as I mentioned the beginning of the show.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_00]: I think right now, this is really a team Jack's fans should be proud of.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_00]: And I know that the jets aren't like this premier matchup right now, but fans should be packing out the bank on Sunday.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_00]: That should be a good environment.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, the jacks deserve all the support in the world right now.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_00]: How Jack's fans are able to give it to him on Sunday.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_00]: Really appreciate y'all being here.
- 13:38[SPEAKER_00]: If you enjoy the content, please like and subscribe.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_00]: Y'all have a good one.
