Fasten both stones on the shoulder pieces of the ephod as memorial stones for the sons of Israel. Aaron is to bear their names on his two shoulders as a memorial before the LORD. — Exodus 28:12

The stones on Aaron's shoulders were only a shadow of something greater. Jesus, the true High Priest, finished the work no earthly priest could complete, and because He lives forever, His intercession never grows silent. This turns prayer from a desperate plea into a confident approach to a Father who knows your name.
