Kansas Priest Arrested on Child Abuse Charges | Topeka News
A Kansas priest, Ryan McCandless, 44, has been arrested on three felony charges of aggravated indecent liberties with a child, allegedly occurring between July and September last year. The case, now under the Kansas Bureau of Investigation, involves a six-year-old from Belleville. The Salina Diocese suspended him immediately upon learning of the allegations. McCandless most recently led three churches in Republic County and previously served in towns including Hays, Manhattan, and Concordia.
