- 0:02Speaker 1: On scorn lits Oscodia.
- 0:05Speaker 2: This is the Reader Paney Show.
- 0:08Speaker 3: Good evening and welcome to the Reader Paney Show.
- 0:11Speaker 4: Coming up tonight, a special interview with former New South
- 0:14Speaker 4: Wales Police Minister and Assistant Commissioner on the Cronulla Riots,
- 0:19Speaker 4: The truth behind that infamous moment in Australian history. The
- 0:23Speaker 4: ABC spending record amounts of your money despite the audience
- 0:27Speaker 4: numbers are shrinking.
- 0:29Speaker 3: I'll speak to you for a McQueen about that.
- 0:31Speaker 4: US President Joe Biden refers to half the country as garbage.
- 0:36Speaker 4: Army Horowitz will join me with the latest from the
- 0:38Speaker 4: US and of course left he's losing it.
- 0:41Speaker 5: My biggest ops are on love Trump Trump absolutely so
- 0:47Speaker 5: will you wake up and think about her?
- 0:49Speaker 2: Yes?
- 0:49Speaker 6: Constantly every day? Do you go to sleep and think
- 0:51Speaker 6: about it?
- 0:52Speaker 5: Yes?
- 0:52Speaker 7: Every day?
- 0:54Speaker 3: Sounds a little in love.
- 0:55Speaker 4: Let's start with Opposition leader Peter Darton calling on the
- 0:59Speaker 4: Prime Minister to refer himself to the National Anti Corruption
- 1:03Speaker 4: Commission over the free Quentas flight upgrades He's solicited and
- 1:08Speaker 4: he also questioned whether Albanese's relationship with Kontes and Alan Joyce,
- 1:13Speaker 4: the former CEO, may have influenced his government's decision to
- 1:18Speaker 4: stop Qatar Airways from running additional Australian flights. The question remains,
- 1:23Speaker 4: did Anthony Albanesi, as Minister for Transport breach the Ministerial
- 1:28Speaker 4: Code of Conduct.
- 1:30Speaker 8: Well, certainly on the face of reading the Gillard government
- 1:33Speaker 8: to minister or Code of Conduct, the Prime Minister has
- 1:35Speaker 8: breached that by his own admission. I think it's a
- 1:37Speaker 8: matter that should be referred by the Prime Minister. I
- 1:39Speaker 8: think the Prime Minister should take the initiative to refer
- 1:42Speaker 8: this matter to the Integrity Commission because I think there
- 1:45Speaker 8: are lots of questions about mister Albenze's credibility and his
- 1:49Speaker 8: integrity in relation to the Qatar decision.
- 1:52Speaker 3: Joining me now for more on this.
- 1:53Speaker 4: As Sky News contributor Pro McSwain prou the Qatar decision
- 1:58Speaker 4: may come back to haunt Anthony Alberaneasi. It was a
- 2:02Speaker 4: decision that was hugely beneficial for quantas, but you can
- 2:07Speaker 4: make the argument it hurt Australian travelers who are paying
- 2:10Speaker 4: more for airfares in part due to the lack of competition.
- 2:15Speaker 9: Well, Rita, that's what made Chip's all about.
- 2:17Speaker 10: You scratch each other's back, and you look after each
- 2:20Speaker 10: other and you know, who cares if the traveling public's
- 2:24Speaker 10: going to pay more. Look, there's no doubt in anyone's
- 2:29Speaker 10: mind that he's on thin ice. That the Prime Minister has,
- 2:35Speaker 10: on the face of it, breached the Code of Standards.
- 2:38Speaker 10: You know, three point one point eight clearly says you
- 2:42Speaker 10: cannot solicit you know, benefits for yourself or your family,
- 2:47Speaker 10: and one would expect that that will come out eventually.
- 2:52Speaker 9: He's lost all authority and that's his problem. Now there's
- 2:55Speaker 9: no credibility.
- 2:56Speaker 10: There's even memes going around, can we upgrade our PA?
- 3:00Speaker 9: You know, they've already hit the ground.
- 3:02Speaker 10: He once actually accused Scott Morrison of being tarnished by
- 3:07Speaker 10: his own hubris. Well, we're looking at that right now
- 3:12Speaker 10: with this Prime Minister. He's compromised his position, he's compromised
- 3:17Speaker 10: the traveling public and frankly he should I believe he's
- 3:23Speaker 10: going to survive this.
- 3:25Speaker 9: Report himself to the NACC.
- 3:27Speaker 10: He needs to come clean and either fall on his
- 3:30Speaker 10: sword if it's proven that he has breached the code,
- 3:33Speaker 10: or at least show that he's a man.
- 3:35Speaker 9: You know, man up. Stop trying to off escape and
- 3:38Speaker 9: worm your way out of it. You're just looking ridiculous.
- 3:42Speaker 3: True, You're so right.
- 3:43Speaker 4: It shows a sense of entitlement here from the Prime
- 3:46Speaker 4: Minister and it challenges this entire brand he's built around
- 3:51Speaker 4: himself of being this down to earth, relatable man who
- 3:56Speaker 4: grew up in public housing and understands the concerns of
- 4:00Speaker 4: everyday Australian's dealing with cost of living crisis, dealing with
- 4:05Speaker 4: a housing crisis, and then in the space of two
- 4:08Speaker 4: weeks pro we've had him buy a beach house for
- 4:10Speaker 4: over four million dollars, not very relatable, and now this,
- 4:14Speaker 4: and this is arguably far worse because at least the
- 4:17Speaker 4: beach house was his own money. This is him benefiting
- 4:21Speaker 4: from freebies thanks to his position.
- 4:24Speaker 9: Well, it's talking to his poor judgment too, you know.
- 4:27Speaker 10: Is he that out of touch now and so enamored
- 4:32Speaker 10: of his role that he thinks he can get away
- 4:36Speaker 10: with these things? You know, it's just he clearly is
- 4:39Speaker 10: not taking any advice and if he is, maybe it's
- 4:42Speaker 10: from charmers.
- 4:43Speaker 9: Who's after his job, because this is a good way
- 4:45Speaker 9: for charmers to be marching into the PM role. You know,
- 4:50Speaker 9: I really can't help but feel that Alban.
- 4:52Speaker 10: Eazy won't recover from this I think he's a dead
- 4:55Speaker 10: man walking when it comes to being PM, or in
- 4:58Speaker 10: fact being re elected under the Labor Party. So you know,
- 5:03Speaker 10: there's a lot more to play in this and the
- 5:06Speaker 10: Libs are not going to let it go away.
- 5:08Speaker 9: He's tried to distract it with the.
- 5:09Speaker 10: You know, bringing the COVID report out a couple of
- 5:13Speaker 10: days earlier. He thinks, nothing to see here, look over here.
- 5:17Speaker 10: We're not that stupid.
- 5:18Speaker 9: We're not going to let this go and he's going
- 5:20Speaker 9: to be accountable.
- 5:23Speaker 7: Now.
- 5:24Speaker 4: The Victorian government's war against property investors continues.
- 5:28Speaker 3: Not only have they.
- 5:30Speaker 4: Hiked up land tax, imposed a raft of onerous conditions
- 5:34Speaker 4: on landlords, and stripped away property owners' rights, and that
- 5:39Speaker 4: is set to intensify further prough with six fresh reforms
- 5:43Speaker 4: set to be written into law over the next twelve months.
- 5:46Speaker 4: Landlords will lose the right to choose who lives in
- 5:49Speaker 4: their properties. Essentially, they can't just evict tenants unless they
- 5:53Speaker 4: have damaged property, failed to pay rent, or if the
- 5:57Speaker 4: owner needs somewhere to live and has to move back.
- 6:00Speaker 4: You can't just choose who's going to live in your property,
- 6:02Speaker 4: which seems incredible to me.
- 6:05Speaker 3: There will also be banned.
- 6:06Speaker 4: From having tenants pay penalties for breaking their lease. The
- 6:13Speaker 4: maximum a tenant will have to pay is four weeks
- 6:16Speaker 4: rent even if they break a twelve week or twelve
- 6:20Speaker 4: month rental agreement. All of these measures pro just add
- 6:25Speaker 4: up to making it less attractive for mom and dad
- 6:29Speaker 4: investors to enter the property market in Victoria. And it
- 6:34Speaker 4: means the pull of rental properties is going to shrink further.
- 6:38Speaker 3: And push up rents.
- 6:39Speaker 4: So though this is supposed to help renters, I think
- 6:42Speaker 4: in the end, it's going to hurt them.
- 6:44Speaker 9: Well, it really is. You know, who would be an
- 6:47Speaker 9: investor in Victoria? Now? You know it's the politics of envy.
- 6:52Speaker 10: And you have this ridiculous claim that they're going to
- 6:55Speaker 10: build more houses. Well maybe the intention is, but whereas
- 6:58Speaker 10: everybody going to rent in the interim while this goes
- 7:01Speaker 10: on and frankly with the CFME, you are running right
- 7:05Speaker 10: down there and everywhere. You know, we will see if
- 7:09Speaker 10: those houses get built. But why would anyone invest when
- 7:14Speaker 10: you think that a lot of the people who are
- 7:16Speaker 10: investors are just ordinary mum and dads Australians who've worked hard,
- 7:20Speaker 10: either tradeesh've got their own business, who just want to
- 7:24Speaker 10: or school teachers, people who just want a little nest
- 7:27Speaker 10: egg when they retire. They're not these you know, die hard,
- 7:32Speaker 10: lethal landlords who are there to screw over the tenant.
- 7:35Speaker 10: You know, I had investment properties and the tenants that
- 7:39Speaker 10: look after them, you love them. You don't want to
- 7:42Speaker 10: lose those people. The last thing you do is treat
- 7:45Speaker 10: them with contempt. But in this case, you know, Victoria
- 7:48Speaker 10: I think was leading the wave.
- 7:49Speaker 9: We're investment properties.
- 7:51Speaker 10: You're going to be one of the last states I
- 7:54Speaker 10: believe that will have people wanting to park their money there.
- 7:57Speaker 4: It's too risky, oh absolutely. And there are biased advocates
- 8:03Speaker 4: leading bias advocates who have told their clients do not
- 8:06Speaker 4: invest in Victoria because this war against property investors. It's
- 8:12Speaker 4: a real thing, and there is a reason why so
- 8:15Speaker 4: many are selling up, and it's really putting a strain
- 8:20Speaker 4: on the rental market. And you feel sorry for the
- 8:23Speaker 4: renters who have no option but to rent. When there's
- 8:26Speaker 4: not that many properties left to rent, the prices go up.
- 8:29Speaker 4: Now let's talk about the ABC. The twenty twenty four
- 8:33Speaker 4: annual report has just been released and the public broadcaster
- 8:37Speaker 4: spent a record amount one point one to three billion
- 8:41Speaker 4: in taxpayer funds over the last financial year. The government
- 8:44Speaker 4: is budgeting for them to spent even more this financial year,
- 8:49Speaker 4: despite the fact that their audience is plummeting prove and
- 8:54Speaker 4: I do wonder where the accountability is here. The ABC
- 8:57Speaker 4: only generated around one hundred million in revenue last year.
- 9:02Speaker 10: Well what's our ROI you know, And whenever you're investing
- 9:05Speaker 10: in anything, you have to think what is my return?
- 9:08Speaker 10: And frankly, as one of the people paying.
- 9:11Speaker 9: For the ABC activists, you know, I want my money back.
- 9:15Speaker 10: You know, we have this situation where you know, they're
- 9:18Speaker 10: saying that they've done a lot of job cuts and frankly,
- 9:21Speaker 10: a lot of those people you wouldn't feed, let alone
- 9:23Speaker 10: put near a microphone. But they must be running out
- 9:27Speaker 10: of activist journalists to actually employ, because you know, it's
- 9:31Speaker 10: just ridiculous that you have this situation where the national
- 9:35Speaker 10: broadcaster is so predictable, not reflecting what Australians want to see,
- 9:41Speaker 10: and hear losing audiences like crazy, and we keep.
- 9:46Speaker 9: Throwing money at them.
- 9:47Speaker 10: There is no accountability clearly, and governments, consecutive governments of
- 9:52Speaker 10: the Limbs as well, have not had the guts to say, okay,
- 9:55Speaker 10: we're going to sell you off, privatize you, or you
- 9:58Speaker 10: can and you can become a streaming service from McSwain.
- 10:01Speaker 3: Thanks for your time tonight.
- 10:03Speaker 4: Now I'm looking forward to this next interview with a
- 10:06Speaker 4: former police minister and police commander that may change how
- 10:09Speaker 4: you view the Cronulla riots. That infamous episode in two
- 10:13Speaker 4: thousand and five is one we all recall. It's a
- 10:16Speaker 4: shameful incident in Australia's history, instantly recognizable as one of
- 10:21Speaker 4: racism and violence against the Middle Eastern community.
- 10:26Speaker 11: It was billed as the day Cronulla residents would take
- 10:28Speaker 11: back the beaches, but it soon turned into a riot.
- 10:34Speaker 11: Thousands of police officers used battens and capsican spray to
- 10:37Speaker 11: control an angry mob that had gathered at Coronella Railway station.
- 10:45Speaker 11: Hords of angry youths had been tearing around Cronulla all
- 10:48Speaker 11: day looking for a fight. Their target anyone of Middle
- 10:51Speaker 11: Eastern appearance where they claim have been harassing locals at
- 10:55Speaker 11: the beach.
- 10:55Speaker 4: But that narrative is far from the full story, and
- 10:59Speaker 4: a new book sheds further light on what really happened
- 11:03Speaker 4: and what preceded and followed the Cronulla Riots, written by
- 11:06Speaker 4: former New South Wales police minister Carl Scully and former
- 11:09Speaker 4: Assistant Commissioner Mark Goodwin the Cronulla Riots. The Inside Story
- 11:15Speaker 4: details the true motivations behind the riots and exposes the
- 11:19Speaker 4: previously unspoken of revenge at tax planned by some men
- 11:24Speaker 4: of Middle Eastern appearance that were ultimately foiled. Kyl Scully
- 11:28Speaker 4: and Mark Goodwin join me now. Carl, I'll start with you.
- 11:32Speaker 4: You were police minister. You threatened to put army troops
- 11:36Speaker 4: on the streets unless police numbers were boosted significantly. Tell
- 11:41Speaker 4: me about the volatility of that period and why you've
- 11:45Speaker 4: written this book.
- 11:46Speaker 12: Well, firstly, we were getting frightening intelligence. Certainly Mark Goodwin
- 11:52Speaker 12: was passing it on to me, and I did not
- 11:55Speaker 12: feel a commissioner was treating it seriously. After the initial
- 11:58Speaker 12: protests on the eleventh of December two thousand and five,
- 12:02Speaker 12: he was allocating six hundred troops at six hundred police.
- 12:06Speaker 12: I didn't think that was enough, and so with my
- 12:10Speaker 12: nudging and instigation and threatening to bring soldiers in, he
- 12:13Speaker 12: increased that to two thousand.
- 12:15Speaker 6: Combined with the police.
- 12:16Speaker 12: Powers that we extended in a parliamentary sitting just some
- 12:20Speaker 12: four days after the initial event, and all of the
- 12:23Speaker 12: special branch branches available, special commands available, police were able
- 12:29Speaker 12: to quell descent and bring order back to the streets
- 12:32Speaker 12: and suburbs of Sydney.
- 12:36Speaker 4: Mark Were these rights entirely about race? Was it a
- 12:41Speaker 4: race based conflict? And tell me about some of the
- 12:45Speaker 4: more serious payback plots that were uncovered and ultimately foiled.
- 12:52Speaker 13: Certainly Rita, we would say the actual causal factor of
- 12:57Speaker 13: the riots was in civility on the beach. There was
- 13:00Speaker 13: groups of young men coming from the western suburbs down
- 13:02Speaker 13: there and there was a lot of misogynistic comments made
- 13:05Speaker 13: to young girls. There was gangs, There was incidents in
- 13:10Speaker 13: the car park, there was incidents in the mall at
- 13:12Speaker 13: Cronulla and built up over a long period of time.
- 13:14Speaker 13: There was this disquiet that became a community outrage. With
- 13:20Speaker 13: the assault and the lifeguards, that was pretty much the flashpoint.
- 13:25Speaker 13: What's been reported over the years and the narrative written,
- 13:28Speaker 13: I suppose what pushed by academics is only focused on
- 13:33Speaker 13: the daytime events at Cronulla, where certainly there was racism,
- 13:37Speaker 13: there was racist slogans, there was racism used.
- 13:41Speaker 6: But what we say is that there was a lot
- 13:42Speaker 6: of sprookers.
- 13:43Speaker 13: In the crowd that day. They didn't come from the
- 13:44Speaker 13: Carnella area. They were driven by racism, they were driven
- 13:48Speaker 13: by white supremacy, and I think a lot of the
- 13:51Speaker 13: young people down there from the area and also outside
- 13:53Speaker 13: the area really lost their way and we spected them
- 13:56Speaker 13: later and they also they don't know what overtok their
- 14:00Speaker 13: heads that day, but.
- 14:02Speaker 6: What really occurred.
- 14:03Speaker 13: The journalists went home, there was a lot of stuff
- 14:06Speaker 13: in the evening news about what occurred, which enraged the
- 14:09Speaker 13: people from the western suburbs. Then we had these massive
- 14:12Speaker 13: revenge attacks which literally went for weeks, and the intelligence
- 14:15Speaker 13: we had over those period of time was absolutely frightening.
- 14:18Speaker 13: I mean, there was entire suburbs destroyed, broken windows, cars smashed,
- 14:22Speaker 13: people being baseball battered, stabbed, gunshots fired, churches burnt down,
- 14:27Speaker 13: and it seems over the years that that's sort of
- 14:29Speaker 13: the site of the riots has been almost forgotten about.
- 14:32Speaker 13: And some of the intelligence that we had, including a
- 14:35Speaker 13: hand grenade attack and drive by shooting with machine guns
- 14:39Speaker 13: on a hotel at Cronulla which was foiled, and certainly
- 14:43Speaker 13: another massive attack that was going to occur at Westfields
- 14:46Speaker 13: at Miranda that was foiled. These incidents just seemed to
- 14:50Speaker 13: have disappeared into obscurity over.
- 14:51Speaker 12: The years aps if I could add to that retail.
- 14:54Speaker 12: If you google any photo or videographic evidence of the riots,
- 15:00Speaker 12: ninety nine percent is a bunch of marauding and abreated
- 15:04Speaker 12: white guys wandering around looking for Arabic others to bash,
- 15:09Speaker 12: and so academic social commentators developed a truth that the
- 15:14Speaker 12: Southern Shire was a racist Caucasian enclave. We challenged that
- 15:18Speaker 12: truth because the evidence is quite to the contrary. As
- 15:22Speaker 12: Mark outlined, there were far more violent and just as
- 15:25Speaker 12: biggoted and racist elements in response. But we challenge what
- 15:30Speaker 12: inspired the events, and we conclude that whilst it was
- 15:33Speaker 12: racist and bigoted on the surface, little of it was
- 15:36Speaker 12: motivated by racism. There were other factors at play, and
- 15:40Speaker 12: that's what is the central part of our book.
- 15:45Speaker 4: Well, tell me a bit more about those other factors.
- 15:48Speaker 4: You mentioned that they had to badly behaved men terrorizing
- 15:53Speaker 4: young women on the beach, making comments that were unacceptable.
- 15:58Speaker 4: What other incidents led up to that upliness exploding?
- 16:02Speaker 12: This invites a broader question where we challenge our celebration
- 16:06Speaker 12: of multiculturalism, and we conclude that most people like to
- 16:11Speaker 12: have order and sameness, and we should search for what
- 16:14Speaker 12: we have in common rather than overly celebrate our difference.
- 16:18Speaker 12: And what happened on the beach we call it the
- 16:20Speaker 12: towel versus the soccer ball folks weren't wrong, just different
- 16:25Speaker 12: communities having different notions of how to use the beach
- 16:28Speaker 12: and what was pretty uncivil behavior. I have no doubt
- 16:33Speaker 12: if Caucasian surfers traveled to outside the mosque in Lakember
- 16:38Speaker 12: and use similar misogynistic language, there would have been a
- 16:41Speaker 12: riot then, so uncivil behavior, misogynistic attitudes, using the beach
- 16:47Speaker 12: in an unfriendly way. But if it was about Caucasian
- 16:52Speaker 12: and Arabic supremacism, then this would not have gone away
- 16:56Speaker 12: and never to return, so it invites a greater scrutiny.
- 17:00Speaker 12: There was deep seated racism between different parts of Sydney.
- 17:03Speaker 12: It would have constantly come back every second weekend. And
- 17:07Speaker 12: one of the things that fascinated is Rita is when
- 17:09Speaker 12: we interviewed a number of Lebanese Muslims, they told us
- 17:12Speaker 12: they grew up on Cronulla Beach every weekend, some of
- 17:16Speaker 12: them for decades, and they never had an issue ever
- 17:19Speaker 12: until this short period came and went. So it invited
- 17:23Speaker 12: a greater scrutiny than just looking at the videographic and
- 17:27Speaker 12: photographic evidence that you've just displayed earlier, because you look
- 17:30Speaker 12: at it reata and I think, my goodness, that's shocking,
- 17:33Speaker 12: and it was shocking, but so were the revenge attacks
- 17:36Speaker 12: multiplied by five that has Mark alluded to. We see
- 17:39Speaker 12: little of.
- 17:42Speaker 2: Oh.
- 17:43Speaker 4: Absolutely, there has been this very simplistic narrative that's taken
- 17:47Speaker 4: hold and it's one that the media likes. It ticks
- 17:50Speaker 4: all the boxes of their worldview and that's what they've pushed.
- 17:56Speaker 9: Mark.
- 17:56Speaker 4: What is the biggest misconception about the rights that you
- 18:00Speaker 4: like this book to correct? Is it what preceded it
- 18:04Speaker 4: or the enormous incidents of violence that followed that really
- 18:10Speaker 4: didn't get the coverage they deserve.
- 18:13Speaker 2: Read.
- 18:14Speaker 13: I think history has been skewed over the years, as
- 18:16Speaker 13: we've already pointed out, by the fact that there was
- 18:19Speaker 13: so much build up of media leading up to the
- 18:22Speaker 13: day that I think every journalist in Sydney turned up
- 18:25Speaker 13: at Cronulla on the day and then, to be quite
- 18:27Speaker 13: frank with you, may I was there. And history's been
- 18:30Speaker 13: written by people that weren't participants, but the journalists that
- 18:33Speaker 13: were there during the day. Halfway through the day looked
- 18:36Speaker 13: though they were very despondent looks on their face. They
- 18:38Speaker 13: were going to go back to their editors and be
- 18:39Speaker 13: sacked because they had nothing to report. And then as
- 18:42Speaker 13: the afternoon and the alcohol war on, there were certainly
- 18:45Speaker 13: incidents which were captured by one hundred cameras from every
- 18:48Speaker 13: different angle.
- 18:49Speaker 6: Which is all the footage.
- 18:51Speaker 13: And as Carla's indicated, if you google, Coronella writes, now
- 18:53Speaker 13: that's all you will see is these images from the daytime.
- 18:56Speaker 13: Then that media packed decided it was all every and
- 18:58Speaker 13: went home. Weeks afterwards, the police dealt with these massive risk,
- 19:03Speaker 13: higher risk, extreme risk actually revenge attacks that were popping
- 19:07Speaker 13: up all over Sydney, and some of them outlined already.
- 19:10Speaker 6: So I think it's important that we'd.
- 19:12Speaker 13: Certainly like to see this book as the go to
- 19:14Speaker 13: reference now because it was a written by participants and
- 19:17Speaker 13: b it is a factual account of the actual incidents
- 19:20Speaker 13: and the truth of what occurred in the build up
- 19:23Speaker 13: on the day and also in the post events.
- 19:28Speaker 2: I think read a lot.
- 19:30Speaker 4: Of good police officers were hurt during that period, They
- 19:35Speaker 4: were smeared, defamed. Do you hope this book's going to
- 19:40Speaker 4: restore the good names of those police members whose reputations
- 19:44Speaker 4: were really damaged during that period.
- 19:47Speaker 6: I hope so.
- 19:48Speaker 12: Firstly, Sergeant Craig Campbell outside the Cronulla Railway station.
- 19:53Speaker 6: That footage was real.
- 19:54Speaker 12: He protected the lives of two people who were under
- 19:58Speaker 12: attack and lives being threatened. Superintendent John Richardson, who did
- 20:02Speaker 12: an enormous effort outside the lakember Mosque to calm tensions.
- 20:08Speaker 12: Mark Goodwin was one of the best senior executives I
- 20:12Speaker 12: ever had the pleasure of working with, and certainly during
- 20:14Speaker 12: my time as Police Minister. He did everything a senior
- 20:18Speaker 12: police officer who could be asked to do to restore
- 20:21Speaker 12: order in Sydney's probably most troubling period. What was his
- 20:25Speaker 12: reward He lost his career. Craig Campbell accused of excessive force.
- 20:30Speaker 12: John Richardson abused on the Four Corners program because he
- 20:35Speaker 12: didn't stop the convoy.
- 20:36Speaker 6: So I don't think the public.
- 20:39Speaker 12: Fully appreciate fix could have been a war on the
- 20:43Speaker 12: streets of Sydney if likes of Mark goodwhen his commanders
- 20:46Speaker 12: had not crushed the descent before it emanated from certain
- 20:51Speaker 12: suburbs of Sydney.
- 20:52Speaker 6: It was as.
- 20:53Speaker 12: Good and fine police work as I've ever seen, but
- 20:56Speaker 12: it doesn't get any credit. Nobody knows about it because
- 20:59Speaker 12: all I saw was this report that condemned that performance
- 21:03Speaker 12: without much justification.
- 21:08Speaker 4: Mark Goodwin, Carl Scully, thank you so much for your
- 21:10Speaker 4: time this evening.
- 21:11Speaker 3: Really appreciate it.
- 21:12Speaker 6: Thank you, thank you for your time.
- 21:14Speaker 4: Still to come, Lefties losing it class Joe Biden labels
- 21:19Speaker 4: half the country human garbage.
- 21:21Speaker 3: Ami Horowitz, we'll join the next.
- 21:32Speaker 4: Welcome back. Now it's time for lefties losing it. So
- 21:35Speaker 4: let's check in with the leader of the free world.
- 21:38Speaker 4: Remember him, the man who is currently president allegedly, the
- 21:42Speaker 4: man who has, with Kamala Harris, seen the country plunged
- 21:46Speaker 4: into an illegal immigration crisis at cost of living crisis.
- 21:51Speaker 3: The dude who talks about fascist even as.
- 21:54Speaker 4: He tries to bankrupt and imprison his chief political opponents. Well,
- 21:58Speaker 4: here is President Joe Biden calling half of America, half
- 22:03Speaker 4: of the country, human garbage.
- 22:06Speaker 14: Or Puerto Rico where I'm in my home state of Delaware.
- 22:09Speaker 14: They're good, decent, honorable people. The only garbage ac float
- 22:13Speaker 14: down there is his supporters.
- 22:15Speaker 4: Yep, they're still having a meltdown about a little joke
- 22:18Speaker 4: told by Tony Hinchcliff, not by Trump, by the way,
- 22:22Speaker 4: Trump didn't say.
- 22:23Speaker 3: The joke, and the media is fanning the flames.
- 22:26Speaker 4: They spend more time on this nothing joke than they
- 22:29Speaker 4: did on the Trump assassination attempts.
- 22:32Speaker 3: They're scared.
- 22:33Speaker 4: That's why the Kamala campaign is faltering badly.
- 22:37Speaker 3: They are getting increasingly desperate.
- 22:39Speaker 4: And this is despite the fact that the Harris campaign
- 22:43Speaker 4: is outspending Trump and the Republicans by a huge margin,
- 22:47Speaker 4: spending more than three times the Republicans last month. But
- 22:51Speaker 4: the message is faltering. Could it be because their candidate
- 22:55Speaker 4: is uniquely hopeless?
- 22:57Speaker 3: What's here?
- 22:58Speaker 4: As Kamala takes a jubil moment at a rally where
- 23:01Speaker 4: everyone is chanting her name and completely kills the vibe.
- 23:06Speaker 3: Then she laughs hysterically for some reason. Now I want
- 23:12Speaker 3: to inter you to show your own name.
- 23:14Speaker 15: Do that?
- 23:18Speaker 3: Yeah, that works really well.
- 23:20Speaker 4: As for the ads and celebrity endorsements, while they continue
- 23:24Speaker 4: to be cringe, here is I want to be first
- 23:28Speaker 4: husband Doug and knock them up, knock them out m
- 23:31Speaker 4: off starring in an ad with Doc Rivers. Watch this
- 23:36Speaker 4: and you'll understand why the Democrats have a man problem.
- 23:41Speaker 5: It does.
- 23:41Speaker 16: You're going to travel across all these we stays, right,
- 23:44Speaker 16: You're going to make sure this folks know the com
- 23:47Speaker 16: it's going to take care of all of them.
- 23:49Speaker 2: Just like you take care of a proton.
- 23:51Speaker 16: Yeah, Tony, you have to make sure everyone knows they come,
- 23:55Speaker 16: it's going to support their families. Wes, You're going to
- 23:59Speaker 16: make sure everyone know the karma and the perfective government
- 24:02Speaker 16: partner you got to complete and all of you you
- 24:05Speaker 16: must head to I will vote dot com to make
- 24:07Speaker 16: your plan to vote to vote for Conna.
- 24:11Speaker 3: I'm convinced that's just so bad.
- 24:15Speaker 4: And if you thought that was bad, take a look
- 24:17Speaker 4: at these lefties losing and the Democrat groups who have
- 24:20Speaker 4: released a pro pornography ad showing a man masturbating to
- 24:26Speaker 4: an X rated clip. Then he's interrupted by a Republican
- 24:30Speaker 4: who apparently is going to ban porn under the Trump administration.
- 24:35Speaker 3: This is what pure desperation looks like, folks.
- 24:38Speaker 4: And I can't show you the full ad because it's obscene.
- 24:42Speaker 17: Oh sorry, you can't do that.
- 24:45Speaker 3: What the hell, man, how'd you get in here?
- 24:47Speaker 17: I'm your Republican congressman. Now that we're in charge, we're
- 24:51Speaker 17: banning born nationwide.
- 24:53Speaker 6: You can't tell me what to do. Get out of
- 24:54Speaker 6: my bedroom retreat.
- 24:56Speaker 17: I won the last election, so it's my decision. I'm
- 24:59Speaker 17: just going to watch and make sure you don't finish illegally.
- 25:04Speaker 4: Oh dear, yeah, I can see what I have a
- 25:07Speaker 4: man problem. But there are white dudes for Kamala. A
- 25:10Speaker 4: lot of them need help. Check out this one broken
- 25:14Speaker 4: by Trump derangement syndrome.
- 25:16Speaker 2: See your biggest obstacle in life right now?
- 25:19Speaker 6: My biggest obstacle in love Trump?
- 25:22Speaker 2: Trump?
- 25:22Speaker 6: Absolutely So will you wake up and think about it?
- 25:26Speaker 2: Yes?
- 25:27Speaker 6: Constantly?
- 25:27Speaker 2: Every day?
- 25:28Speaker 6: Do you go to sleep and think about it?
- 25:29Speaker 5: Yes?
- 25:30Speaker 7: Every day?
- 25:31Speaker 6: Are you in love with him? I hate his guts?
- 25:34Speaker 4: Here is another white dude for Kamala, triggered by a
- 25:37Speaker 4: Veterans for Trump sign.
- 25:40Speaker 3: Watch what he does for to this.
- 25:41Speaker 18: Yard sign that reads Veterans for Trump. Abruptly kicks it
- 25:45Speaker 18: and wanders off. A minute later, he's back again, his
- 25:48Speaker 18: eyes focused on the home. Then, just after six, our
- 25:51Speaker 18: friend returns a third time, something yellow in his hand,
- 25:55Speaker 18: a piece of paper he leaves in the mailbox.
- 25:58Speaker 4: And the low life isn't done yet, not content with
- 26:01Speaker 4: seemingly stalking the house and kicking the sign. He left
- 26:05Speaker 4: this note for the man who is risking his life
- 26:09Speaker 4: for America.
- 26:11Speaker 17: As it talks about how I was a disgrace to
- 26:13Speaker 17: my country and a discrease to.
- 26:15Speaker 19: The US military because of my choice and candidate. And
- 26:20Speaker 19: you know, at the very end of the letter he
- 26:22Speaker 19: actually tells me to go to hell.
- 26:24Speaker 4: That's the tolerant, inclusive left for you, folks, that's down
- 26:28Speaker 4: in Florida. Can you imagine how triggered that guy is
- 26:30Speaker 4: going to be after election day.
- 26:33Speaker 9: Let's hear it.
- 26:34Speaker 4: Now from the woman herself. We need more Carmala in
- 26:37Speaker 4: our lives. She's doing more interviews these days, and that
- 26:41Speaker 4: means we're getting more incoherent gibberish like.
- 26:44Speaker 20: This, knowing that we also have the honor and the
- 26:48Speaker 20: duty of excelling in every way possible, being able to
- 26:54Speaker 20: see what is possible and not be burdened by other
- 26:57Speaker 20: people's limited ability to see the same.
- 27:02Speaker 4: I guess she can always go back to calling Trump
- 27:05Speaker 4: a fascist. Perhaps in citing another assassination attempt.
- 27:09Speaker 21: You called Donald Trump a fascist. The top Republicans in
- 27:12Speaker 21: Congress have called on you to tone down your rhetoric.
- 27:15Speaker 21: They say it's quote irresponsible anti Trump rhetoric, and they're
- 27:19Speaker 21: saying what you're doing could invite another assassination attempt against
- 27:24Speaker 21: Donald Trump.
- 27:25Speaker 3: How would you respond to that?
- 27:26Speaker 22: Well, first of all, I condemn any political violence of
- 27:29Speaker 22: any sort against anyone, but again, don't take it from me.
- 27:35Speaker 4: Meanwhile, Donald Trump doesn't have to spend anywhere near as
- 27:38Speaker 4: much as Democrats when he's got folks on social media
- 27:42Speaker 4: taking his words and sending them to music like this.
- 27:46Speaker 3: This is the latest viral sensation.
- 27:49Speaker 6: Joe Biden is asleep, Kamala.
- 27:52Speaker 7: Is that a dance party with Beyonce Beyonce, Beyonce, Beyonce, Beyonce.
- 27:59Speaker 3: Beyonce, he is he?
- 28:01Speaker 7: Dance party would beyond saying dance party would bead saying
- 28:05Speaker 7: dance party would bead saying dance party would beyond saying,
- 28:10Speaker 7: beyond saying, beyond saying, beyond saying, beyond say party with
- 28:15Speaker 7: beyond saying, beyond saying, to beyond saying, beyond.
- 28:19Speaker 1: Says party with the anti saying dance party with beyond saying,
- 28:25Speaker 1: dance party with beyond saying he dance party with beanti
- 28:28Speaker 1: saying dance party with beyond saying, dance party with beyond saying,
- 28:34Speaker 1: dance party with beyond say, beyond saying, beyond saying, dance

- 28:43Speaker 1: beyond say, dance party with bead saying dance party with
- 28:46Speaker 1: beyond say, beyond saying, beyond saying, beyond saying, beyond say
- 28:52Speaker 1: party would beyond saying, beyond saying.
- 28:55Speaker 3: Joining me now for more?
- 28:57Speaker 19: Is it?
- 28:57Speaker 3: Filmmaker and commentator Army Horowitz.
- 29:01Speaker 4: Army, a political peddle on CNN, has had an almighty
- 29:06Speaker 4: meltdown over a joke made by a conservative commentator, Ryan
- 29:11Speaker 4: Gardowski at He made the joke towards a pro Palestinian journalist,
- 29:16Speaker 4: Mehdi Hassan. This is a man who calls half the
- 29:18Speaker 4: country Nazis. But apparently that's fine. But when a conservative
- 29:24Speaker 4: makes a joke about a pager going off, let's see
- 29:29Speaker 4: the reaction.
- 29:30Speaker 3: Let's see the absolute meltdown.
- 29:33Speaker 6: If you don't want to be called Nazis, stop.
- 29:40Speaker 2: People by me.
- 29:41Speaker 21: I never call you an.
- 29:43Speaker 2: I mean, I'm not saying her saying I'm a set
- 29:45Speaker 2: of the Palestinians. I'm used to it. Well, I hope
- 29:46Speaker 2: your paper doesn't go off the thing is is that
- 29:50Speaker 2: you should know you should be killed.
- 29:53Speaker 4: Of course, he goes straight into victim mode, interpreting the
- 29:57Speaker 4: comment as some sort.
- 29:58Speaker 3: Of a death threat.
- 30:00Speaker 4: He did say, I hope your beeper doesn't go off.
- 30:03Speaker 4: He didn't want it to explode.
- 30:04Speaker 3: And the hysteria.
- 30:06Speaker 4: Continued nine ones today.
- 30:10Speaker 2: And so this is this is America.
- 30:14Speaker 9: Forget the racism.
- 30:15Speaker 2: That's which I should die. She said, what does mean?
- 30:19Speaker 2: Don't give me? What did you say?
- 30:22Speaker 9: People?
- 30:22Speaker 2: What did you mean by the beeper? What did you said?
- 30:28Speaker 3: Doesn't at least have.
- 30:30Speaker 6: The guts to support your racist com.
- 30:32Speaker 20: I'm so sorry, but I will tell you I don't
- 30:34Speaker 20: accept that apology.
- 30:35Speaker 8: And you don't even stay Its fine, that's what is disgusting.
- 30:37Speaker 3: But I can be offended when you don't even stand
- 30:39Speaker 3: to me.
- 30:39Speaker 6: I'm not Puerto Rican, but I was offended by what.
- 30:42Speaker 2: He said yesterday.
- 30:43Speaker 4: The hyperbole is off the charts. That Loan Conservative was
- 30:48Speaker 4: taken off and now Army has been banned from seeing it.
- 30:54Speaker 2: Yeah, first of all, Rita, I sure hope that Rita
- 30:57Speaker 2: Patty extended Danzo mix that I saw before I was
- 31:00Speaker 2: gonna make it on air. So I like what I
- 31:02Speaker 2: like the moves that I saw Rita. And by the way,
- 31:05Speaker 2: for my TikTok gen Z fans out there, I want
- 31:08Speaker 2: before I start, I want to say thank you Beyonce.
- 31:10Speaker 2: I don't want to die, all right? Moving on Mehdi Hassad, Yes,
- 31:15Speaker 2: why was Mehdi Hassan Manie Assad is a man Just
- 31:18Speaker 2: so we have some context here, right, he was. He
- 31:21Speaker 2: was fired from MSNBC. Not because he was a Katari
- 31:26Speaker 2: funded mouthpiece for the Hama supporting regime. No, he was
- 31:30Speaker 2: fired because he had horrible ratings. He was no Rita
- 31:34Speaker 2: Pannehy when it came to the ratings, that's for sure,
- 31:37Speaker 2: that's for certain. But yes, like you alluded to before,
- 31:40Speaker 2: prior to that exchange, he went on and said essentially
- 31:45Speaker 2: said that every Republican fifty percent of this country are
- 31:49Speaker 2: fascist and Nazis. I would take offense to that, and
- 31:53Speaker 2: of course Kodorski did because he is one of them.
- 31:55Speaker 2: So he was essentially be called a Nazi by this guy.
- 31:57Speaker 2: Now what do I think he's guilty of? Okay, it
- 32:00Speaker 2: was a lame joke, for sure. It wasn't really a
- 32:03Speaker 2: propose for CNN. Also, I know Gary was coming from
- 32:07Speaker 2: he was upset. It was a heated exchange. And by
- 32:09Speaker 2: the way, many a son not exactly a shrinking violet
- 32:13Speaker 2: when it comes to attacking his opponents, right, so let's
- 32:16Speaker 2: be clear about that. And then of course the reaction
- 32:19Speaker 2: by CNN, of course was over the top, right, they
- 32:22Speaker 2: had to come with a statement, but they said, hey,
- 32:25Speaker 2: we don't accept bigotry, we don't want crossing the line
- 32:29Speaker 2: of civility.
- 32:30Speaker 4: And that hypocrisy is just so blatant. Like he said,
- 32:35Speaker 4: he caught half the country fascist. That's fine, there's no
- 32:39Speaker 4: problem with that. But they lose their minds over that
- 32:42Speaker 4: little joke by Tony Hinchcliff about Puerto Rico.
- 32:45Speaker 3: They're still talking about.
- 32:46Speaker 4: That, and this joke about a beaper going off apparently
- 32:52Speaker 4: is the worst thing that's ever happened on CNN, just
- 32:55Speaker 4: on that Puerto Rico joke, which is still I can't
- 33:00Speaker 4: believe I'm still hearing about it.
- 33:01Speaker 3: Joe Biden has.
- 33:02Speaker 4: Responded by calling half of America garbage.
- 33:06Speaker 14: Or Puerto Rico. Where I'm in my home state of Delaware,
- 33:09Speaker 14: they're good, decent, honorable people. The only garbage I see
- 33:13Speaker 14: floating down there is his supporters.
- 33:15Speaker 4: Joe isn't really helping camalaor in these moments.
- 33:18Speaker 3: Is he mia. Do you think he realizes that he's doing.
- 33:22Speaker 4: Damage to her cause at times? Or is it just
- 33:25Speaker 4: a lucky accident. He has no idea what's happening?
- 33:28Speaker 2: Does he He didn't realize anything? Come on, look, first
- 33:32Speaker 2: of all, one comment, he's the president of the United States.
- 33:35Speaker 2: You see the framing on that. I mean, who like
- 33:37Speaker 2: It's like, literally, they're gonna use Sky News Australia's tech people.
- 33:42Speaker 2: Those guys are first class. It's like he just sat there,
- 33:45Speaker 2: no lighting, right, just no mic just threw the laptop up.
- 33:49Speaker 2: Was horrible. No, here's a no anything. And finally I
- 33:52Speaker 2: gotta say, I.
- 33:53Speaker 3: Kind of like nice timing your great grandpa.
- 33:57Speaker 2: Yes, oh no, great Grandpa's much I'm sure much more technical,
- 34:00Speaker 2: savvy and competent than uncle joke. Look, Rita, at this point,
- 34:04Speaker 2: I gotta blame you for elder abuse. Can you stop it?
- 34:06Speaker 2: Can you leave the poor man alone? But you could
- 34:08Speaker 2: you just told me what he said. The only reason
- 34:11Speaker 2: I had to trust you because I couldn't understand the
- 34:13Speaker 2: word he was saying. I listened to that clip five times.
- 34:18Speaker 2: I had to slow it down. The guy cannot put
- 34:21Speaker 2: a sentence together. It's terrible. Now, look, I know he
- 34:25Speaker 2: was ripping on the garbage joke right by Puerto Rico
- 34:29Speaker 2: and Hingecliff. I mean, look, was it a mistake to
- 34:32Speaker 2: bring Hingecliff on? Of course it was, But he is
- 34:34Speaker 2: an insult comic. It's what he does for a living.
- 34:37Speaker 2: That joke was not out of bounds relative to what
- 34:40Speaker 2: he normally says.
- 34:42Speaker 7: This is.
- 34:42Speaker 2: In fact, it was kind of tame Hinchle. That's kind
- 34:44Speaker 2: of what he does for a living. Do I like it?
- 34:47Speaker 2: Not particularly, certainly, not for an event like that. But
- 34:50Speaker 2: at the end of the day, beyond the joke itself
- 34:53Speaker 2: was watch a God. I got so much joy watching
- 34:57Speaker 2: the media trying to make this a new cycle. Right.
- 35:01Speaker 2: They spent an entire week talking about this. They were squeezing.
- 35:06Speaker 2: So the trasque is much juice from a lemon that
- 35:08Speaker 2: was essentially dry. But it's hilarious. Whitman do it? Yes?
- 35:12Speaker 2: This is the party, the Democratic Party that calls for
- 35:15Speaker 2: civility right calling half the country garbage. That's very civil,
- 35:19Speaker 2: thanks Uncle Joe.
- 35:23Speaker 4: They have tried to get mileage out of this joke.
- 35:26Speaker 4: You know what I actually do like Tony Hinchcliff. I
- 35:29Speaker 4: love his involvement in the Tom Brady roast. That was brutal,
- 35:33Speaker 4: that was funny. I don't think it was a mistake.
- 35:36Speaker 4: I don't see Latino as some hyper sensitive group that
- 35:40Speaker 4: are going to change their vote based on a joke
- 35:43Speaker 4: some dude, mate. It wasn't a joke that Trump utteroned
- 35:47Speaker 4: he was from. And George Lopez made even a more
- 35:51Speaker 4: offensive joke, arguably at a Kamala rally just a few
- 35:54Speaker 4: days ago, suggesting that all Mexicans are thieves. I didn't
- 35:58Speaker 4: see any meltdown after that at Now. I know you've
- 36:01Speaker 4: been out there talking to people yourself, army, you hit
- 36:04Speaker 4: the streets with your camera, and this time you're asking
- 36:08Speaker 4: people to explain Kamala's speeches. So you would read out
- 36:13Speaker 4: word for word what she has said and see if
- 36:16Speaker 4: they could understand it.
- 36:17Speaker 2: And you tell me, what the hell she's trying to say?
- 36:21Speaker 18: Is that Kamala Harris.
- 36:22Speaker 2: Yes, on top of everything else that we know and
- 36:26Speaker 2: don't know, get based on what we've just been able
- 36:30Speaker 2: to see. And because we've seen it or not doesn't
- 36:33Speaker 2: mean it just happens for us at every moment in time,
- 36:39Speaker 2: and certainly this one. To see the moment in time
- 36:42Speaker 2: in which we exist in are present and to be
- 36:45Speaker 2: able to contextualize it, to understand it. Will we exist
- 36:49Speaker 2: in the history and the moment as it relates not
- 36:52Speaker 2: with the past but the future. Do you want me
- 36:55Speaker 2: to repeat.
- 36:55Speaker 4: That you did try your best? But the good folk
- 37:01Speaker 4: of Malcolm X Boulevard in Harlem couldn't decipher what Kamala
- 37:06Speaker 4: was trying to say.
- 37:07Speaker 2: Can you understand what she's trying to say?
- 37:09Speaker 7: No?
- 37:10Speaker 3: Yeah, for experiences?
- 37:12Speaker 4: He tell me what you're trying to say?
- 37:15Speaker 2: It might have been.
- 37:20Speaker 6: I don't even know what that even means. You're Jewish?
- 37:23Speaker 2: Oh wow, you're married?
- 37:27Speaker 19: You know?
- 37:28Speaker 14: Are you dating.
- 37:32Speaker 2: Army?
- 37:32Speaker 4: You're not supposed to use these vox pops to to
- 37:35Speaker 4: drop up personal business for your dating life.
- 37:38Speaker 3: That's not the point. But tell me about the experience there.
- 37:43Speaker 3: What's the mood there?
- 37:44Speaker 4: Are they going to back her regardless of the fact
- 37:47Speaker 4: that she's a poor candidate because they hate Trump? Are
- 37:50Speaker 4: they energized about voting or what was the vibe in Harlem?
- 37:55Speaker 2: No? No, and no, yeah, no, they're not energized. These
- 38:02Speaker 2: people aren't stupid. They're not saying, Hey, you're a black woman,
- 38:05Speaker 2: therefore I should vote for you. Okay, that's not the
- 38:08Speaker 2: way this thing works. She's dropping the ball when it
- 38:11Speaker 2: comes to black community, and they know it's why they're
- 38:13Speaker 2: in panic mode. Look, and I know that with the
- 38:16Speaker 2: polling is saying on the black vote they're gonna get
- 38:18Speaker 2: the biggest vote in the last sixty years, I think
- 38:21Speaker 2: it might be bigger than that. I mean anecdotally, when
- 38:24Speaker 2: I go out to the black community talking about Trump
- 38:26Speaker 2: and Harris, not only is there not excitement about her,
- 38:31Speaker 2: I just hear a lot of people say weren't over Trump.
- 38:33Speaker 2: And right now the polling is saying fifty percent of
- 38:35Speaker 2: black men, right twenty five percent of the entire black
- 38:39Speaker 2: population is gonna is going to vote for Trump. That's
- 38:43Speaker 2: it's a massive number. But I think, look this idea,
- 38:47Speaker 2: and you know it's whole. Every time you say, oh,
- 38:49Speaker 2: we're salad, this is not just white Republican men who
- 38:52Speaker 2: say this thing. Right when I went out there and
- 38:54Speaker 2: I started this the premise of this video by saying
- 38:58Speaker 2: I'm gonna read you a quote and then you tell
- 39:00Speaker 2: me who said it, they all jumped in and before
- 39:02Speaker 2: I had a chance to even read the quote and
- 39:04Speaker 2: go Kamala Harris, like they knew where this was going.
- 39:07Speaker 2: They understand that she is so vapid that she just
- 39:11Speaker 2: throws in a bunch of incongru's words and hopefully people
- 39:15Speaker 2: will think she's smart. She's covering up. Does you just
- 39:17Speaker 2: know what she's talking about? I and you and conservatives
- 39:20Speaker 2: aren't the only person who noticed this. Everyone does, including
- 39:24Speaker 2: black people. Look, when I do something, I do a video. Yes,
- 39:28Speaker 2: it's funny, the comedy, the entertainment is just a delivery
- 39:32Speaker 2: device for something more important. And what it's saying is
- 39:35Speaker 2: they recognize what we have been saying in the conservative
- 39:39Speaker 2: eco universe, even though they don't listen to us. Right,
- 39:41Speaker 2: they're not really part of our eco universe. For the
- 39:43Speaker 2: most part, they know what's going on because they're not dumb. Look,
- 39:47Speaker 2: it is so gross how the Democratic Party takes for
- 39:53Speaker 2: granted the black vote. I think black people finally saying
- 39:56Speaker 2: we're done being taken for granted.
- 39:58Speaker 4: Well, I do worry about some of the advice she's
- 40:02Speaker 4: getting because there are those who are telling her. Look
- 40:05Speaker 4: at the enormous audience Trump got with Joe Rogan, you
- 40:09Speaker 4: should do Joe Rogan. Joe Rogan goes for three hours.
- 40:12Speaker 4: They cover wide range of topics, over that time.
- 40:16Speaker 3: If you were giving her.
- 40:17Speaker 4: Advice, Jean, I think it would be a disaster.
- 40:21Speaker 2: Don't know now. Look I would love her to go
- 40:25Speaker 2: on and implode, but you know what, I'm begging her,
- 40:27Speaker 2: don't do it. Look, I yes, I do not want
- 40:30Speaker 2: you to win, and if you go on there, you'll
- 40:32Speaker 2: destroy yourself. But please don't do it. It's going to
- 40:34Speaker 2: be too painful for the entire country. I'm begging you.
- 40:36Speaker 2: I'm giving you solid advice here. Do not do it.
- 40:40Speaker 2: Do yourself a favor. You can't handle it.
- 40:44Speaker 4: That is solid advice. Indeed, Army Horowitz, thank you for
- 40:47Speaker 4: your time. This evening is your pleasure still to come.
- 40:51Speaker 4: The unhinged hysteria around Trump's Madison Square Garden rally continues.
- 40:57Speaker 3: I'll speak to a young Australian man there. You're watching
- 41:10Speaker 3: the Raid of panehy show.
- 41:11Speaker 4: Joining me now is Federal Affairs Associate and Americans for
- 41:14Speaker 4: Tax Reform Barklay mcgaina.
- 41:18Speaker 9: You were at.
- 41:18Speaker 3: Trump's Madison Square Garden rally.
- 41:21Speaker 4: The left wing media and the Democrats have completely lost
- 41:25Speaker 4: their minds over this rally. That have compared it to
- 41:28Speaker 4: a pro Nazi rally. They're calling everyone one who attended
- 41:32Speaker 4: fascists and basically they've lost their grip on reality.
- 41:39Speaker 5: Donald Trump's got this big rally going at Madison Square Garden.
- 41:44Speaker 5: There's a direct parallel to a big rally that happened
- 41:46Speaker 5: in the mid nineteen thirties at Madison Square Garden. And
- 41:50Speaker 5: don't think that he doesn't know for one second exactly
- 41:52Speaker 5: what they're doing there.
- 41:54Speaker 16: People said that this was like reminiscent of the supremacist
- 41:58Speaker 16: rally in nineteen thirty every cherry Nazis.
- 42:00Speaker 2: I think that it lived up to that.
- 42:03Speaker 15: Trump actually re enacting the Madison Square Garden rally in
- 42:11Speaker 15: nineteen thirty.
- 42:12Speaker 18: Nine, Nazi ralli's in the thirties at Madison Square gardens.
- 42:15Speaker 2: Do you compare that?
- 42:16Speaker 6: Do you find that a similar comparison.
- 42:19Speaker 22: Listen, this election is in seven days, and I think
- 42:22Speaker 22: the American people have a very clear choice. And on
- 42:26Speaker 22: the one hand, you have Donald Trump who is constantly
- 42:29Speaker 22: fanning the flames of division and hate.
- 42:32Speaker 4: The Democrats are claiming that the rally was so hate
- 42:36Speaker 4: field and divisive that it has actually become a determining
- 42:39Speaker 4: factor in how Americans are going to vote. Here's Harris
- 42:43Speaker 4: campaign's senior advisor, David Pooth.
- 42:46Speaker 23: These people are saying, I wasn't sure how I was
- 42:49Speaker 23: going to vote. Now I'm voting for Kamala Harris. So
- 42:52Speaker 23: it was a huge mistake. But here's what I've learned
- 42:55Speaker 23: in politics, things that really hurt you are things that
- 42:58Speaker 23: are consistent with what people may already think about you.
- 43:01Speaker 23: So that chaos and that heat and that division, for
- 43:05Speaker 23: a lot of voters, they say, that's what I'm worried.
- 43:07Speaker 3: About, Barclay.
- 43:09Speaker 4: You were there for the entire six seven hours. Was
- 43:12Speaker 4: it full of hate and fascist talking points and reminiscent
- 43:17Speaker 4: of some sort of Nazi get together?
- 43:21Speaker 19: Yeah, high reader and hello viewers. If it was a reenactment,
- 43:24Speaker 19: it was an awful re enactment. I'm someone who grew
- 43:28Speaker 19: up in Australia my entire life, and going to New
- 43:30Speaker 19: York City for this rally was a major culture shock.
- 43:34Speaker 19: And not only that, I've never seen more Israeli flags
- 43:38Speaker 19: in my life. Indeed, New York is known as the
- 43:41Speaker 19: melting Pot. Indeed, a lot of Puerto Ricans probably attended
- 43:45Speaker 19: this rally, people from all diverse points of background, and
- 43:49Speaker 19: they came from all around the country really to see
- 43:53Speaker 19: what I believe will be the next president of the
- 43:55Speaker 19: United States. So the kind of slander that we're seeing
- 43:57Speaker 19: from Kamala Harris, Tim Walls and the Democrat So I think,
- 44:00Speaker 19: really sure is that desperate they are and that's what
- 44:03Speaker 19: it amounts to.
- 44:04Speaker 3: Really, Yeah, I think you hit the nail on the
- 44:08Speaker 3: head there. It's desperation.
- 44:09Speaker 4: It's we're days away and this is what they've got
- 44:12Speaker 4: to cling on to. And while they're having their meltdown,
- 44:17Speaker 4: the right side of politics is just mocking them. Watch
- 44:19Speaker 4: this clip of Hitler watching this so called Nazi rally
- 44:24Speaker 4: at Madison Square Garden.
- 44:36Speaker 2: The Democrats that Trump is a Nazi.
- 44:38Speaker 16: Trump did nothing wrong, he supports the Jewish community.
- 44:48Speaker 15: Fell down, worst Nazi rally ever, barklay so many Jewish
- 45:04Speaker 15: people there, black people, brown people, all those star of
- 45:08Speaker 15: David's on the Israeli flager.
- 45:10Speaker 3: And yet they're.
- 45:11Speaker 4: Continuing with this narrative about this being some hate field,
- 45:16Speaker 4: anti Semitic event.
- 45:19Speaker 19: Yeah, I think more or less, it just seems to
- 45:21Speaker 19: be quite a distraction. What they're attempting to do is
- 45:23Speaker 19: they're attempting to distract from the bad record of Kamala
- 45:26Speaker 19: Harris in office. And when Donald Trump took to the stage,
- 45:29Speaker 19: the first thing he said, it was crystal clear, are
- 45:32Speaker 19: you better off right now than you were four years
- 45:35Speaker 19: ago when I left office? And absolutely no American can
- 45:38Speaker 19: say that they are in a better position now. With
- 45:41Speaker 19: rising interest rates, rising inflation, medium household income is going
- 45:45Speaker 19: down as well, the stock market is not performing that well,
- 45:48Speaker 19: no one can say that they are in a better position.
- 45:51Speaker 19: And you know, Kamala Harris has brought on Tim Wallas. Recently,
- 45:54Speaker 19: the Cato Institute released the report of all of the
- 45:56Speaker 19: governors and how they went about raising taxes or reducing
- 46:00Speaker 19: taxes in their state. To Wores, being the governor of Minnesota,
- 46:03Speaker 19: he got a straight f And you can bet that
- 46:06Speaker 19: when he assumes they're all of vice president, if Carma
- 46:08Speaker 19: Harris is to be elected, he will very much continue
- 46:11Speaker 19: that big government growth record. So this election is going
- 46:14Speaker 19: to be very critical, and as you can see, they're
- 46:16Speaker 19: bringing out all the stops, all the labels, all the
- 46:19Speaker 19: smears to try and deter Trump from returning to the
- 46:22Speaker 19: White House.
- 46:25Speaker 3: That season.
- 46:26Speaker 4: I think we're going to see more of these manufactured
- 46:29Speaker 4: outrages in the next six seven days, because that's all
- 46:33Speaker 4: they have. Barclay McGain, thank you so much for your time,
- 46:36Speaker 4: and that's all the time I've got tonight, folks. I'll
- 46:39Speaker 4: see you at eleven tomorrow with Douglas Murray.
- 46:43Speaker 3: Up next is Newsnight.
