- 3:47Speaker 4: for to come back.
- 3:49Speaker 2: I got to tell you towards second back half of
- 3:52Speaker 2: the show yesterday, I was I was wondering if I
- 3:57Speaker 2: had reached my maximum word limit for the week. Did
- 4:00Speaker 2: you know I did? We found nowhere here. Friday is
- 4:04Speaker 2: like a reset, Yeah, like Fridays like this is. We're
- 4:07Speaker 2: on the back half of this week. We got the
- 4:09Speaker 2: weekend coming up. But yesterday is like that's you know,
- 4:12Speaker 2: it's a lot, yeah, for sure. But it's been enjoyable.
- 4:16Speaker 2: It's been fun.
- 4:18Speaker 3: You never had to really do it for the full
- 4:19Speaker 3: week by yourself.
- 4:22Speaker 2: Did we do it two days in a row? One time?
- 4:24Speaker 1: Two?
- 4:24Speaker 3: Or three?
- 4:25Speaker 2: I don't No, definitely, no, three, No, No, you did it.
- 4:27Speaker 2: You did it too. That's right, Okay, we did it too.
- 4:31Speaker 2: Right before football season. Mm hmmm, sounds right. A couple
- 4:37Speaker 2: weeks ago, Jake had to go to the coaches thing Pittacle. Yes,
- 4:42Speaker 2: I'm sure it is electric.
- 4:45Speaker 3: Remember I probably just blacked that out my memory.
- 4:47Speaker 2: All right, So we're on the precipice of the weekend. Yeah,
- 4:51Speaker 2: I know, I know we're throwing big worries at you today.
- 4:54Speaker 2: Do y'all have any big weekend plans? I know we
- 4:56Speaker 2: got the Super Big Game Bowl Sunday. Yeah, do you
- 5:00Speaker 2: all have any plans outside of that?
- 5:01Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 5:02Speaker 3: My birthdays tomorrow, so we've got dinner. We got dinner
- 5:06Speaker 3: Resi's does.
- 5:12Speaker 4: Everyone Literally everybody reacts like that When I tell them
- 5:16Speaker 4: I'm going to doze, They're like, it's so good, So
- 5:18Speaker 4: I'm excited to try it. I hear their tamalas are good,
- 5:21Speaker 4: but like, I literally don't eat tamal is. Are not
- 5:24Speaker 4: my mom's. So I am going to eat them, but
- 5:29Speaker 4: I'm gonna judge them pretty harshly.
- 5:32Speaker 2: I think rightfully. So if like that's your if that's.
- 5:34Speaker 3: Your they're that popular, If that's your.
- 5:37Speaker 2: Gold standard, I don't know if anybody's gonna really meet that.
- 5:41Speaker 2: Did that work? I think we need to lower her
- 5:44Speaker 2: expert Like they're good. Yeah, they also like you're compared
- 5:48Speaker 2: to your moms. We're white, you know, like, h I t.
- 6:00Speaker 3: I didn't even notice you forgot.
- 6:02Speaker 5: I don't know how like a traditional molly is even
- 6:05Speaker 5: like this is.
- 6:07Speaker 3: I know, I saw a picture. They look good.
- 6:10Speaker 2: When they are and they don't like they think they
- 6:12Speaker 2: do like a little side bowled chili. They have a fried.
- 6:17Speaker 4: Okay, I was to say, I'm an appetizer girly, So
- 6:20Speaker 4: if you got app recommendations, what's.
- 6:23Speaker 2: The app we got? Yeah, that's a good spot for
- 6:25Speaker 2: the for a birthday. It's like one of those spots
- 6:27Speaker 2: that I don't you know, and for us, for my crew,
- 6:31Speaker 2: my people, we don't really think about a lot. So
- 6:33Speaker 2: I don't go that often, but every time we go,
- 6:35Speaker 2: we're like, oh yeah, let's go.
- 6:37Speaker 3: Yeah yeah. I thrive by me.
- 6:39Speaker 5: I've never been st It's only on their lunch menu.
- 6:43Speaker 5: Their cheeseburger is excellent.
- 6:46Speaker 2: Nice, it's right down the road. I have ordered that
- 6:48Speaker 2: more times than I would like to admit more times.
- 6:52Speaker 2: Do you like to admit? I got me? Dude?
- 6:54Speaker 5: It's it's what a five ten minute drive from here.
- 6:56Speaker 5: I'm sitting there, I'm like, what I want for lunch?
- 6:58Speaker 2: I'm like, you know, call them? Do you guys, just
- 7:00Speaker 2: go pick it up.
- 7:01Speaker 5: Yeah, because like basically when I called, they're like, oh,
- 7:04Speaker 5: give us ten or fifteen minutes, like Taylor's jump in
- 7:07Speaker 5: the truck.
- 7:08Speaker 2: It's just a good spot to go for like if
- 7:11Speaker 2: you want really good food. But then you also just
- 7:14Speaker 2: want to be yourself because it's loud. It's like you
- 7:18Speaker 2: don't have to like feel bad about going with a
- 7:19Speaker 2: group that's going to like laugh and be loud.
- 7:21Speaker 4: Okay, So I don't have to worry about that. No, okay,
- 7:24Speaker 4: because everybody is loud that.
- 7:26Speaker 5: I think about steak cause you're like, oh, it's not
- 7:28Speaker 5: like white tablecloth.
- 7:29Speaker 2: Note you can go.
- 7:32Speaker 3: Well, I've seen that outside of it.
- 7:34Speaker 4: But okay, I'm glad because I'm taking I said no
- 7:38Speaker 4: boys allowed.
- 7:39Speaker 2: Yep.
- 7:40Speaker 3: Sure, so none of y'all got an invite.
- 7:44Speaker 2: Fair.
- 7:45Speaker 3: I'm around y'all all the time all the time.
- 7:50Speaker 2: You don't want to bring work to does?
- 7:52Speaker 3: Well, there's some coworkers that I'm close with.
- 7:55Speaker 2: That you want to bring boys to. No, No, that's
- 7:57Speaker 2: what I said. You guys, we'll have birthday. Thank you,
- 8:01Speaker 2: Happy Happy birthday twenty eight. How do you feel about it?
- 8:08Speaker 3: I was having an existential crisis, really right.
- 8:10Speaker 2: Well, we're throwing big words at people and it's not
- 8:12Speaker 2: even seventen.
- 8:13Speaker 4: I know, the kids don't even understand what we're saying.
- 8:15Speaker 4: Oh no, they're on the precipice.
- 8:17Speaker 2: Of the precipice of understanding existential crisis. Guys, y'all gotta
- 8:21Speaker 2: y'all got a chill.
- 8:22Speaker 3: I'm just like my life. He's like, I don't know
- 8:24Speaker 3: whi y'all are?
- 8:25Speaker 2: Did? We didn't learn that till junior year of high school. Yeah,
- 8:29Speaker 2: you only learned that from like a movie too. Yeah,
- 8:31Speaker 2: you didn't learn that.
- 8:32Speaker 3: No, they did not.
- 8:33Speaker 2: Have memorize it in school. You didn't learn it. It
- 8:35Speaker 2: was your junior year of high school.
- 8:36Speaker 5: They were like Taylor put it on the crayons in
- 8:38Speaker 5: the coloring book. Okay, pay attention. We're trying to learn
- 8:41Speaker 5: what existential means.
- 8:43Speaker 3: It was like two teachers and sixty y'all in class.
- 8:45Speaker 2: Mm hmmm.
- 8:46Speaker 5: Yeah, we had a We had a really good uh
- 8:49Speaker 5: teacher to student ratio, at least did my.
- 8:51Speaker 3: Yeah my class.
- 8:54Speaker 2: Which crayon is your favorite flavor?
- 8:58Speaker 3: You feel like an orange guy.
- 9:00Speaker 2: You either love it or you hate it? Yeah, red orange,
- 9:05Speaker 2: that area one of those.
- 9:09Speaker 5: We got a busy weekend though, Matt all right crave
- 9:12Speaker 5: Oriyan ball birthday. I felt bad ago because she was
- 9:21Speaker 5: talking about, oh oh yeah, I've never been to the
- 9:23Speaker 5: Enemmian or whatever.
- 9:24Speaker 4: With the break, I was like, I'm going to the
- 9:27Speaker 4: Endimiana because Gwen Stefani is playing.
- 9:31Speaker 2: And then I.
- 9:32Speaker 5: Found out, like a couple of days later, it's like, hey,
- 9:34Speaker 5: it's a it's Crew of Orion here, it's not the Enemian.
- 9:37Speaker 3: He was trying to rub it in my face.
- 9:38Speaker 2: Very very similar, very similar way. You're not going to
- 9:41Speaker 2: Endimian as well. No, I'm going to crouve o'riyon to
- 9:44Speaker 2: just say, if you go to two balls, I feel
- 9:46Speaker 2: like that's this is my first Marty girl ball, no
- 9:49Speaker 2: idea what to expect. It'll be fine, You'll have a
- 9:52Speaker 2: great time. I wait. I went to Ori a couple
- 9:55Speaker 2: of years ago. I think me and Jacob were Grand
- 9:59Speaker 2: Marshalls or or like something at the end where we
- 10:02Speaker 2: were sitting there throwing beads at people because I kept
- 10:04Speaker 2: trying to I kept trying to hit people with them.
- 10:08Speaker 2: M that was a cop. But we had a great time.
- 10:10Speaker 2: The balls are always fun. You got a tux? Oh yeah,
- 10:12Speaker 2: do you own a tux.
- 10:14Speaker 5: I actually bought one for the well I was I
- 10:16Speaker 5: was telling Haldane because he's going to it's like the
- 10:21Speaker 5: amount of times I've rented talks like it was in
- 10:22Speaker 5: three weddings last spring. It's one hundred and twenty bucks
- 10:25Speaker 5: every time to rent one, Like I might as well
- 10:28Speaker 5: just yep, it's been a couple hundred more and just
- 10:29Speaker 5: buy one.
- 10:30Speaker 2: Yep. I did the same thing. I think I did
- 10:32Speaker 2: the same thing for the the O Ryan Ball because
- 10:38Speaker 2: I think I went they were it was on sale
- 10:40Speaker 2: or something, I like jose Banks or Ben's Warehouse or
- 10:43Speaker 2: something like that, and it was like, yeah, it was
- 10:45Speaker 2: like two or fifty two or seventy five bucks to
- 10:47Speaker 2: buy me a tucks I know it. I'm like, it's
- 10:49Speaker 2: one hundred and twenty to rent one. Absolutely now the
- 10:53Speaker 2: fairness to the rental companies. I've only worn it once
- 10:56Speaker 2: and that was like probably six or seven years ago,
- 11:00Speaker 2: so maybe I would have come out better. Oh, I
- 11:02Speaker 2: get it.
- 11:04Speaker 5: I'm not gonna wear this one a lot either, but
- 11:06Speaker 5: I have it on a rainy day in case, just.
- 11:08Speaker 2: In case, always prepared Taylor Shark.
- 11:12Speaker 5: And then Sunday Super Bowl I found some bingo cards
- 11:17Speaker 5: found the Super Bowl car oh. I had to create
- 11:20Speaker 5: a Pinterest account to get them because I tried to.
- 11:24Speaker 2: Go without your wife didn't have a Pintres's account. This
- 11:27Speaker 2: was an impulse buy. Okay, surprised, and this was an
- 11:32Speaker 2: impulse thing.
- 11:33Speaker 5: At work yesterday, I was sitting there because Chris had
- 11:35Speaker 5: been putting together like a super Bowl thing, and I
- 11:37Speaker 5: was like, so we can find a bingo card and
- 11:40Speaker 5: if you don't have an account, it's a blurred So
- 11:43Speaker 5: I had to create an account, and then you had
- 11:45Speaker 5: one with commercials, like a commercial Bingo thing which commercials
- 11:48Speaker 5: will play one just game like what's going to actually happen?
- 11:52Speaker 2: And then to make sure of both printed out fine.
- 11:54Speaker 2: So I'm assuming it's kind of kind of follows the
- 11:56Speaker 2: same lines as like a lot of the prop bets,
- 11:59Speaker 2: like the novelty bets, kind of.
- 12:01Speaker 5: Like it was like a playbe reviews, first Penalty, that
- 12:05Speaker 5: type of thing.
- 12:05Speaker 2: Ah, those are fun. That's a good time. What a
- 12:08Speaker 2: great weekend. So lander we didn't get into any more
- 12:12Speaker 2: of like the existential crisis. Is it just like anything
- 12:15Speaker 2: specific or just the generic twenty eight.
- 12:18Speaker 4: I think it's just the generic twenty eight, Like it
- 12:20Speaker 4: just feels so serious, like it feels very close to thirty.
- 12:24Speaker 3: I don't have my life together like at all.
- 12:28Speaker 2: There's really no benefit to any other age forever, Like
- 12:32Speaker 2: I think twenty next year. I think twenty br Let's
- 12:36Speaker 2: Gonda nine.
- 12:37Speaker 5: Twenty nine sucked for me because I was like, I'm
- 12:40Speaker 5: thirty basically.
- 12:44Speaker 3: That, you know.
- 12:46Speaker 4: I feel like literally everybody I know is having a
- 12:48Speaker 4: child right now, Taylor Brand, I don't know there's other
- 12:54Speaker 4: people I know that are Yep.
- 12:58Speaker 3: I'm just like floating through.
- 12:59Speaker 2: Life, just crushing in the foxhole.
- 13:02Speaker 3: Crushing in the fox That's all that matters.
- 13:07Speaker 2: Just keep being a good person. Life will come to you.
- 13:10Speaker 3: I don't know why those you just tried so hard.
- 13:14Speaker 2: That funny. I don't sound advice sound advice.
- 13:17Speaker 3: Keep being a good person, being.
- 13:18Speaker 2: A good person, live your life.
- 13:22Speaker 3: That is great advice.
- 13:23Speaker 2: Thank you, thank you. There's something I'm known for just.
- 13:27Speaker 5: I just think that that's one of those pieces of advice.
- 13:30Speaker 5: It's like, hey, it's not going to work out for you,
- 13:31Speaker 5: but just keep going.
- 13:34Speaker 4: Your life is not together, you are going to be
- 13:37Speaker 4: alone forever, but just be be a good person.
- 13:42Speaker 2: Weren't you what year was it? Your professional young professional
- 13:47Speaker 2: of the Year last year, last year. It's not a
- 13:49Speaker 2: big deal, so not many people have that.
- 13:51Speaker 3: That's fair.
- 13:53Speaker 2: How do you think Kane the Dog is Ah, it.
- 13:59Speaker 3: Looks pretty like a puppy. Still the real King the
- 14:04Speaker 3: Dog or this one?
- 14:05Speaker 2: This one, he looks like a puppy. Whendn't we get
- 14:08Speaker 2: it read before football seasons? When we get it? It's
- 14:10Speaker 2: not an it? When did we get her? Thank you
- 14:15Speaker 2: just looked it up. The original King lived from nineteen
- 14:18Speaker 2: ninety two to nineteen ninety eight, so thirty four years.
- 14:26Speaker 2: Good for her. All Right, we got a fantastic show today.
- 14:31Speaker 2: It's Friday. We're just gonna have some fun today. We're
- 14:33Speaker 2: gonna talk sports. There's a lot to go over. We're
- 14:36Speaker 2: gonna give you, certainly final thoughts on the Super Big
- 14:39Speaker 2: Game Bowl on Sunday. We'll do a little Pontoon parlay action,
- 14:43Speaker 2: but a prop bet version like pontun parlay bets are
- 14:48Speaker 2: tough to hit, so this one's gonna pay big. Then
- 14:53Speaker 2: a lot to get to from NFL Honors last night,
- 14:55Speaker 2: we got Winter Olympics opening ceremonies. Today and later in
- 14:59Speaker 2: the show, I got a big announcement, I got a
- 15:03Speaker 2: huge award to give out. We saw yesterday that uh
- 15:10Speaker 2: New Orleans Saints starting quarterback Tyler Shuck was named PEPSI
- 15:16Speaker 2: zero Sugar Rookie of the Year. That's pretty good. Yeah,
- 15:19Speaker 2: it's pretty decent, but it's not as big as the
- 15:22Speaker 2: award I'll be announcing later today. Can you zoom in
- 15:25Speaker 2: on this? Zoom in.
- 15:31Speaker 3: I don't even know what this is.
- 15:33Speaker 2: My High zero Sugar Rookie of the Year award will
- 15:37Speaker 2: be given this out in the show. Now, that's very prestigious.
- 15:41Speaker 2: Obviously there's a football on there in the corner and
- 15:43Speaker 2: there's also a smiley face. So we'll be announcing that later.
- 15:47Speaker 2: It's a big show for you. Stay tuned right here.

- 18:33Speaker 2: the NFL all time leader in passing yards with eighty thousand,
- 18:36Speaker 2: three hundred fifty eight and completions seven forty two all
- 18:42Speaker 2: just silly silly numbers. Had a record five seasons with
- 18:45Speaker 2: five thousand plus passing yards, fifty four consecutive games with
- 18:50Speaker 2: a touchdown pass at one point. Highest single season completion
- 18:53Speaker 2: percentage seventy four point four percent that was in twenty eighteen.
- 18:57Speaker 2: Two time NFL Offensive Player of the Year, NFL Player
- 19:00Speaker 2: of the Year, seven time NFL passing yards leader, four
- 19:03Speaker 2: time NFL touchdown passes leader. Walter Payton Man of the Year.
- 19:08Speaker 2: What did this guy not do? Okay, there's one thing,
- 19:12Speaker 2: but it doesn't matter. That doesn't matter. He probably should
- 19:15Speaker 2: have at one point. The man is legendary in the
- 19:19Speaker 2: quarterback world. The man was legendary in the Saints world,
- 19:22Speaker 2: in the Saint's history in Saints Loire, and now he
- 19:25Speaker 2: will be enshrined. His bust will be in Canton, Ohio.
- 19:28Speaker 2: Rightfully so. And I got the opportunity, in the last
- 19:36Speaker 2: year of myself ever playing football, ever putting pads on too,
- 19:39Speaker 2: be teammates with Drew and certainly got to see firsthand,
- 19:44Speaker 2: you know what made him special, what made him great.
- 19:48Speaker 2: I got to see him perform being on his team,
- 19:52Speaker 2: I got to see him prepare. From a guy that
- 19:55Speaker 2: might not have had like the skill set of a
- 19:57Speaker 2: lot of other all time great quarterback, he certainly made
- 20:01Speaker 2: up for it with intelligence the way he prepared, always
- 20:05Speaker 2: prepared for anything that he saw. And uh a tough
- 20:09Speaker 2: dude too. He was one of these guys that in
- 20:11Speaker 2: practice never wanted the backup to take a snap. He was.
- 20:15Speaker 2: He had a foot injury when I was there and
- 20:19Speaker 2: played through it when he didn't have to. We weren't
- 20:23Speaker 2: making the playoffs. He didn't have to do that. He
- 20:25Speaker 2: just didn't like anybody else doing it except for him.
- 20:28Speaker 2: He was He was that kind of guy. And I
- 20:30Speaker 2: got a first and I got a front row seat
- 20:32Speaker 2: for on the other sideline of Drew many many times.
- 20:36Speaker 2: I don't think I ever won a game in the
- 20:39Speaker 2: Superdome with another team. He defended his home territory better
- 20:46Speaker 2: than most quarterbacks. And so you know, kudos to Drew
- 20:50Speaker 2: and well deserved, absolutely well deserved first ballot Hall of
- 20:55Speaker 2: Famer Taylor, Do you have him to find a I
- 21:01Speaker 2: don't want to get one of these names wrong. Do
- 21:04Speaker 2: you have the list of the class of twenty twenty six?
- 21:09Speaker 2: I know Larry Fitzgerald, Larry Fitzgerald, Luke Keighley, yes, Adam Vinieri,
- 21:15Speaker 2: Roger Craig, and Drew Brees is okay, So the first
- 21:26Speaker 2: ballots on this one, on this class, Drew Brees, is it? Larry,
- 21:33Speaker 2: Larry fitz okay, And it's not Luke? Right? I think
- 21:38Speaker 2: Luke was eligible last year, Okay, for sure? For sure,
- 21:42Speaker 2: Drew Brees, Larry Fitzgerald. So about those people, about those players,
- 21:45Speaker 2: I think we can all agree that absolutely deservedly first
- 21:51Speaker 2: ballot guys, and certainly Drew Brees for everything he's done
- 21:54Speaker 2: for the Saints, everything he's done for this fan based Louisiana,
- 21:58Speaker 2: New Orleans at a time of need, and yeah, we
- 22:01Speaker 2: just want to say congrats. Anybody got any thoughts on
- 22:04Speaker 2: mister Drew Brees.
- 22:06Speaker 4: He is my goat just because I am a Saints
- 22:10Speaker 4: fan and like I grew and like the numbers are
- 22:13Speaker 4: there to make the argument too, I feel like, and
- 22:16Speaker 4: I'm just very happy for him, and I'm glad that
- 22:21Speaker 4: he was first ballot. I know it's gonna suck that,
- 22:23Speaker 4: like Bill Belichick and Robert Kraft and all them aren't,
- 22:25Speaker 4: but like Drew Brees deserves that, and I feel like
- 22:28Speaker 4: his career has been overshadowed by something like he just
- 22:32Speaker 4: kind of gets like I don't know, people don't really.
- 22:36Speaker 4: I know people talk about Drew Brees, but I don't.
- 22:38Speaker 4: Maybe I'm not saying this right, but I feel like
- 22:41Speaker 4: he gets overshadowed, Like the tweet the other day that
- 22:44Speaker 4: was like, is there anything more emblematic than Drew Brees
- 22:47Speaker 4: being a first ballot Hall of Famer and it's getting
- 22:50Speaker 4: overshadowed by Robert Kraft and Bill Belichick.
- 22:54Speaker 3: Yeah, right.
- 22:55Speaker 4: So I'm very happy for Drew. I'm happy for the
- 22:59Speaker 4: Saints or organization.
- 23:00Speaker 2: Two and.
- 23:02Speaker 3: Emotional night.
- 23:04Speaker 2: Did you watch were all able to watch it? Any
- 23:07Speaker 2: of it?
- 23:07Speaker 3: But I was doing the women's basketball game last night.
- 23:09Speaker 5: Yeah, I watched it, And I mean, that's a great
- 23:13Speaker 5: point because he doesn't get over shatted, like he doesn't
- 23:16Speaker 5: have the seven Super Bowl rings of a Tom Brady,
- 23:18Speaker 5: doesn't have all the MVPs of a Rogers or.
- 23:21Speaker 2: The name of a Peyton Manning.
- 23:22Speaker 5: But I mean he was out there and look at
- 23:24Speaker 5: the numbers while was He's up there, right there with
- 23:26Speaker 5: the best of them. And so a lot of people
- 23:28Speaker 5: last night say, oh, well, my favorite Drew Brees game
- 23:31Speaker 5: was this, or obviously when he led him to the
- 23:34Speaker 5: Super Bowl, or when he broke the you know, the
- 23:37Speaker 5: whatever record he broke.
- 23:38Speaker 2: And I was telling you guys this.
- 23:41Speaker 5: I interned at WAP my last year in college, right
- 23:44Speaker 5: across the street, and it was during football season, was
- 23:47Speaker 5: fall of twenty eighteen. Me and one other intern we
- 23:50Speaker 5: got to pick which Saint's a game we went to,
- 23:53Speaker 5: and you know, I was looking down.
- 23:55Speaker 2: I was looking down.
- 23:55Speaker 5: I was like, if I time this right, I could
- 23:58Speaker 5: go to Monday Night football against the Washington Redskins.
- 24:01Speaker 2: Well, damn at a time it right, And.
- 24:02Speaker 5: I went to Monday Night football against the Washington Redskins,
- 24:05Speaker 5: and that is one of the coolest sporting experience I've experienced,
- 24:09Speaker 5: because like it was a who's who who's.
- 24:11Speaker 2: On the sideline.
- 24:12Speaker 5: It's like I met Kurt Warner that night, one of
- 24:14Speaker 5: my favorite quarterbacks of all time. I mean, Adam Schefter's
- 24:18Speaker 5: three feet away from the Rich Eisen's right there on
- 24:20Speaker 5: the sidelines. And then you got to go into the
- 24:22Speaker 5: locker room and get the interview with Drew Brees. David
- 24:25Speaker 5: Baker at the Hall of Fame, had the football that
- 24:28Speaker 5: he was putting in Canton that he threw to tray
- 24:30Speaker 5: Quan Smith to break the record. It's just so many
- 24:32Speaker 5: memories here in Louisiana. And like I was telling you
- 24:36Speaker 5: the other day, Yeah, we were in eighth grade. That's
- 24:38Speaker 5: when the Saints made the Super Bowl run, and our
- 24:40Speaker 5: whole school we got like a different Saints theme every
- 24:42Speaker 5: single week. You know, they had different like Saints desserts.
- 24:45Speaker 5: They had Number nine cookies in the cafeteria and like
- 24:48Speaker 5: this is a middle school, Like the whole state was
- 24:50Speaker 5: just enthralled with Drew Brees for twenty years was incredible.
- 24:56Speaker 2: I can say that the way he played the game,
- 25:01Speaker 2: the way he played in the era of quarterback NFL.
- 25:04Speaker 2: He was in with Brady Rogers, yeah, Freeze like that era,
- 25:11Speaker 2: and he was a huge catalyst. It changed the standard
- 25:14Speaker 2: and the expectations of quarterback play. Like forever, quarterback play
- 25:19Speaker 2: was you gotta have the big arm, you gotta do
- 25:21Speaker 2: this like you're gonna throw interceptions. That's just gonna come
- 25:25Speaker 2: with the territory. Like the Brett fav Like mentality. You know,
- 25:29Speaker 2: he leads seat. He led the NFL with touchdowns, we
- 25:32Speaker 2: also led him with interceptions. And the completion percentage forever
- 25:35Speaker 2: we talked about it like a good completion percentage for
- 25:37Speaker 2: guys was fifty eight to fifty nine to sixty percent
- 25:40Speaker 2: completion rate. But the way this era, that era of
- 25:43Speaker 2: quarterback greats absolutely one hundred changed the standard when you
- 25:48Speaker 2: talk about quarterback play because of these guys, these guys
- 25:51Speaker 2: that paved the way with high completion. You don't have
- 25:54Speaker 2: to throw the interceptions, take care of the ball, be smart,
- 25:56Speaker 2: work the field, be extremely accurate and disciplined your reads.
- 26:01Speaker 2: And that's what he did and be ultra competitive, and
- 26:03Speaker 2: he was ultra competitive. So kudos to him and all
- 26:07Speaker 2: the quarterbacks young quarterbacks playing now, they're playing with a
- 26:11Speaker 2: different standard and expectation that is on their plate because
- 26:15Speaker 2: of the things that Drew Brees was able to do
- 26:17Speaker 2: on the field. So we all want to tip our
- 26:21Speaker 2: cap to him, take our hat off to him, and say, congratulations,
- 26:25Speaker 2: absolutely well deserved, very good. We're proud of you. He
- 26:30Speaker 2: did the Saints well and he joins I think he
- 26:32Speaker 2: joins ten other Saints in the Hall of Fame, which
- 26:36Speaker 2: I was looking at the list of that and I
- 26:38Speaker 2: was like, Earl Campbell got that on the list and
- 26:43Speaker 2: he played one year with the Saints. Jim Taylor certainly
- 26:51Speaker 2: taking some weird credit there, but certainly at the top
- 26:54Speaker 2: of that list. Stolen valor for sure, Tim Taylor, Come on,
- 27:00Speaker 2: Drew Brees. Congratulations and yeah Taylor, you got that video
- 27:06Speaker 2: Herbert We're gonna play or something.
- 27:10Speaker 7: Every generation has its stagger. For New Orleans, it wore
- 27:16Speaker 7: number nine. He arrived with questions.
- 27:23Speaker 3: I felt like this is where I belong to be
- 27:27Speaker 3: a part of, not only the rebuilding of an organization
- 27:30Speaker 3: but also a city in a region.
- 27:31Speaker 7: But left with answers carved into history. The Saints have
- 27:36Speaker 7: won the Super Bowl, records, facts, history, Sunday's change belief
- 27:44Speaker 7: became permanent now the game makes it official.
- 27:51Speaker 4: It's truly an honor and a pleasure to congratulate you, Drew.
- 27:54Speaker 2: You've had an amazing career.
- 27:56Speaker 4: You're deserving of being first ballot into the Hall.
- 28:00Speaker 2: You are the greatest thanks players of all time and
- 28:03Speaker 2: will deserve honored. The work you put in was special.
- 28:06Speaker 2: I know he was gonna get in, and then the
- 28:08Speaker 2: first ballot me and a whole lot to a lot
- 28:10Speaker 2: of players he deserved. I never did great.
- 28:12Speaker 1: The leadership was so imminent and so at the parent
- 28:17Speaker 1: at a post Katrina.
- 28:18Speaker 7: Drew Brees didn't just play.
- 28:20Speaker 2: Here but don't touch down.
- 28:24Speaker 7: He changed what here meant.
- 28:30Speaker 4: When I leave this game, I would like for people
- 28:33Speaker 4: to look at me and say that, hey, Drew Brees played.
- 28:37Speaker 2: The game the way it was supposed to be played.
- 28:39Speaker 1: He left the game better than when he found it,
- 28:41Speaker 1: and he did things the right way.
- 28:42Speaker 2: And then he was a problem.
- 28:45Speaker 7: We knew long before the gold jacket ever did.
- 28:53Speaker 2: Our goat. That's only what the world.
- 29:05Speaker 7: Welcome to the Pro Football Hall of fame off the bench.

- 31:57Speaker 2: more shocking things that I discovered this morning while looking
- 32:01Speaker 2: up kind of some of these Drew brees and was
- 32:04Speaker 2: that Earl Campbell played for the Saints. Anybody know this? Yeah,
- 32:07Speaker 2: lead in his.
- 32:07Speaker 5: Career, his last year he played. I mean people forget
- 32:11Speaker 5: that Kenny Stabler played for the Saint.
- 32:13Speaker 2: Yeah, the last three seasons actually, so he's a little
- 32:15Speaker 2: bit more. Jim Taylor played. I didn't know that Jim
- 32:17Speaker 2: Taylor did. But Earl Campbell no clue, learned something new
- 32:21Speaker 2: every single day, constant and never any self improvement. People,
- 32:24Speaker 2: You're never too old to learn something new. Just remember
- 32:27Speaker 2: that Earl Campbell played for the Saints and they claimed
- 32:30Speaker 2: him in the Hall of Fame.
- 32:32Speaker 5: If you claim Earl Campbell in the Hall of Fame,
- 32:34Speaker 5: then you have to say Earl Campbell is the best
- 32:36Speaker 5: running back in Saint's history.
- 32:38Speaker 2: Have to you do. That's a good point. I mean,
- 32:44Speaker 2: we love Duce McCallister around here.
- 32:47Speaker 5: He ain't know Earl Campbell, But I mean, if you're
- 32:49Speaker 5: gonna claim him, you gotta claim it. Did Earl when
- 32:52Speaker 5: he was here wear a tear away jersey, I would imagine,
- 32:57Speaker 5: I mean that might have been outlawed by that point.
- 33:01Speaker 5: Earl Campbell the Tyler Rose Tyler Texas yea not a
- 33:04Speaker 5: big deal.
- 33:08Speaker 2: Rose Capital of the World.
- 33:09Speaker 4: Tyler got a whole magazine named over after him.
- 33:16Speaker 2: A magazine.
- 33:17Speaker 3: Wait, is it Earl or Dave Campbell? Is Dave Campbell? Yeah? Yeah,
- 33:24Speaker 3: the soups are named after him.
- 33:26Speaker 2: Damn it, we're naming something on the show.
- 33:29Speaker 3: Okay, Earl Campbell's But what.
- 33:33Speaker 5: Actually, I think I know where you're going. As great
- 33:38Speaker 5: of a brandingness that would be. This is actually a
- 33:40Speaker 5: real product. Earl Campbell makes sausage now, yes, no, he's
- 33:43Speaker 5: made it for a long time, has he? Hot Links?
- 33:46Speaker 2: I had it when I was a kid. I don't
- 33:51Speaker 2: know if that was the Texas things. Yeah, okay, I'm
- 33:54Speaker 2: not a hot link. There's still kids. No, I bought
- 33:58Speaker 2: a cheese sausage. There's like a cheese sausage er Old
- 34:00Speaker 2: Campbell Brown. It's pretty good. And the picture of the
- 34:03Speaker 2: on the front of the sausage like on the packaging.
- 34:07Speaker 2: Used to be like him with a cowboy hat, cowboy boots, jeans. Sweet,
- 34:11Speaker 2: I remember those, Taylor. You brought up an amazing stat
- 34:16Speaker 2: from another fellow Hall of Famer from the class in
- 34:20Speaker 2: twenty twenty six, another first Battle guy, Larry Fitzgerald. Because
- 34:24Speaker 2: we're talking about him like, he's not the most flashy
- 34:27Speaker 2: of receivers. But if you ask wide receivers give you
- 34:31Speaker 2: to give you their mount Rushmore, they all say, Larry Fitzgerald, this.
- 34:34Speaker 3: Might be the craziest that I've ever heard.
- 34:36Speaker 5: I'll just talking about a little bit when I filled
- 34:38Speaker 5: in for y'all on Friday. I will argue anybody on this.
- 34:42Speaker 5: In my opinion, Larry Fitzgerald the top five wide receiver. Five,
- 34:47Speaker 5: He's actually five, He's top five for Larry Fitzgerald played
- 34:56Speaker 5: seventeen years in the NFL. Also twenty one different quarterbacks
- 35:01Speaker 5: he called passes from. So I know we point out
- 35:04Speaker 5: Randy and t O and Calvin Johnson, shout out to
- 35:06Speaker 5: those guys, but they played with elite quarterbacks. Larry Fitzgerald
- 35:09Speaker 5: played with Kurt Warner for about three years and that
- 35:11Speaker 5: was it.
- 35:12Speaker 2: It was.
- 35:12Speaker 5: It was kind of journeyman throughout his career. In seventeen years,
- 35:15Speaker 5: Larry Fitzgerald has more tackles than dropped passes by a lot.
- 35:20Speaker 5: He has forty two career tackles, and some say that
- 35:23Speaker 5: his drops could be as low as twenty nine and
- 35:26Speaker 5: a seventeen year NFL career.
- 35:28Speaker 2: Holy cow. As a wide receiver, that's unreal. Who plays offense,
- 35:34Speaker 2: So it's not usually the offensives job to tackle the
- 35:36Speaker 2: defense unless there's an interception or fumble. I thinking about
- 35:41Speaker 2: the QBS he played with, Yeah, a lot of interception.
- 35:43Speaker 2: I assume that Larry is probably like on the like
- 35:47Speaker 2: the Hail Mary defense team, like back there deep So
- 35:51Speaker 2: I'm trying to think if he would ever any other situation.
- 35:53Speaker 2: But yeah, that's a lot of a lot of tackles.
- 35:56Speaker 2: Larry Fitzgerald was a guy that was certain. He had
- 36:02Speaker 2: his flashy moments. Obviously ultra talented, and I think a
- 36:05Speaker 2: lot of people forget him as this incredible dominant receiver
- 36:09Speaker 2: because towards the back half of his career, he wasn't
- 36:11Speaker 2: like the number one guy, Like, he wasn't that guy anymore.
- 36:13Speaker 2: He was more of a glue guy in the locker room.
- 36:17Speaker 2: He always did things the right way, though of course
- 36:20Speaker 2: he never dropped passes. He threw it to him, He's
- 36:21Speaker 2: going to catch it no matter where it was. I
- 36:23Speaker 2: remember seeing him catching passes where he's like the hardest
- 36:26Speaker 2: catches to make in the world, Like you're running across
- 36:28Speaker 2: the middle, and you got to catch it off your shoe,
- 36:30Speaker 2: like your shoelaces, like low passes like that. He made
- 36:32Speaker 2: it look easy, and he made it look routine, but
- 36:34Speaker 2: he did things the right way. It was an incredible
- 36:38Speaker 2: role model for young receivers, young kids watching him play
- 36:42Speaker 2: the game because he blocked downfield, he was never too
- 36:48Speaker 2: good to do the dirty work on offense. He finished
- 36:51Speaker 2: through the goal line with the ball and holding the
- 36:54Speaker 2: ball correctly, he handed the ball to the official. He
- 36:57Speaker 2: did things the right way, played the game the right way,
- 37:00Speaker 2: celebrated with his teammates, only never made it about himself.
- 37:03Speaker 2: And one of those great stewards of professional football in
- 37:08Speaker 2: the game of football that we all know of love
- 37:11Speaker 2: so cute as to him so seventeen years one team,

- 43:47Speaker 2: polar bear? Like, just pick a different bear.
- 43:50Speaker 3: It might not be a polar bear. It's just a
- 43:52Speaker 3: big white bear.
- 43:55Speaker 2: So the Tenner McMillan got forty one first place votes
- 44:00Speaker 2: and Tyler Show got five, so he was actually second

- 44:08Speaker 2: off Jackson Dark got one. He did get one. That's
- 44:11Speaker 2: been a New York guy the show. But I told
- 44:17Speaker 2: you about this today?
