- 0:24Speaker 2: Waiver four Finger Discounted.
- 0:47Speaker 3: Welcome to four Finger discount the podcast where we always
- 0:50Speaker 3: order our chicken skins fried. I'm down, guys, I just
- 0:54Speaker 3: wring that one.
- 0:55Speaker 4: Now.
- 0:55Speaker 2: Forgot to write anything. Did chicken skins and chicken he
- 1:00Speaker 2: winged it?
- 1:01Speaker 3: I didn't did. Yeah, you've never been a fan of
- 1:02Speaker 3: chicken wings.
- 1:03Speaker 2: Not gonna lie.
- 1:03Speaker 3: I just never seen the fascination with it. There's not
- 1:06Speaker 3: enough meat on the bone for me there. It's just
- 1:08Speaker 3: you order my dad. My dad be KFC fan and
- 1:12Speaker 3: he's a big fan of They've got a thirty days
- 1:15Speaker 3: Christmas in July deal thing going at the moment where
- 1:17Speaker 3: every day is a new deal and they hook you
- 1:19Speaker 3: and they sent it the text and it's like nine
- 1:21Speaker 3: pieces of chicken for nine dollars whatever.
- 1:23Speaker 2: So I did it for my dad.
- 1:24Speaker 3: And he had four chicken wings four so he got
- 1:27Speaker 3: a nine piece deal and four of those pieces were
- 1:30Speaker 3: chicken wings. That's outrageous, all right, that doesn't say right?
- 1:35Speaker 3: It's crazy.
- 1:35Speaker 2: Everyone's going wings these days. Friends at MACS are introducing mcwings,
- 1:40Speaker 2: buffalo wings.
- 1:40Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:41Speaker 2: I'm not a fan of either. I'm the chicken Tendies. Yeah,
- 1:43Speaker 2: just give me the meat. I don't have the bone. No,
- 1:47Speaker 2: that's what said. That's what my Tinder profile. No bones,
- 1:52Speaker 2: just meat. But we're here to review your one guy,
- 1:55Speaker 2: the bad boy.
- 1:56Speaker 3: Yes, also a bad boy indeed. Yeah, but you'll be
- 2:00Speaker 3: you end up just lik him or something. You'll revel
- 2:01Speaker 3: without a cause whatever it is, something like that like that.
- 2:03Speaker 3: But we're here to review Waverly.
- 2:05Speaker 2: Hills nine No.
- 2:07Speaker 3: Two to one, dope, uh something Waverley Hills shout out
- 2:12Speaker 3: to Weezer. Yeah that I could not find any info
- 2:16Speaker 3: whether they sang the song. It sounded like that, but
- 2:18Speaker 3: also sounded like a cover band, so.
- 2:19Speaker 2: It did very much. So I think you know, everyone,
- 2:22Speaker 2: everyone at a certain age might have a Weezer impression
- 2:25Speaker 2: under the belt or in the toolkit. So ye, yeah,
- 2:30Speaker 2: I've a bit. When I saw the title, I mean
- 2:32Speaker 2: the first the Weezer's on Belly Hills was not the
- 2:34Speaker 2: first thing that came to mind. The first thing that
- 2:36Speaker 2: came to mind for me was, dude, this of course
- 2:42Speaker 2: is the Belly Hills No.
- 2:43Speaker 4: No.
- 2:43Speaker 2: Two. I don't think you know what you know exactly. Yeah,
- 2:45Speaker 2: I got there in the end, people will be going
- 2:48Speaker 2: what is he doing? What sort of noise does he make?
- 2:50Speaker 3: As you say, the best names are the ones you
- 2:51Speaker 3: have to explain.
- 2:53Speaker 2: Is he malfunction? Yeah? But Waverly Hills No.
- 2:58Speaker 5: No.
- 2:58Speaker 2: Two one dope? Yeah, the title that renames itself that
- 3:02Speaker 2: automatically wins the the guy name challenge. What do you think?
- 3:06Speaker 2: Initial thoughts of.
- 3:06Speaker 3: Sort of fun premise, although it was kind of forgettable
- 3:09Speaker 3: in the sense that and I get that that's the joke,
- 3:11Speaker 3: and that's the whole point is they're going to a
- 3:12Speaker 3: new city, right, But all the supporting casts that were
- 3:16Speaker 3: used to if the Simpsons weren't in this after the
- 3:18Speaker 3: first fives or so minutes, right, except the Skinner makes
- 3:21Speaker 3: an appearance, and all the characters they introduce are so
- 3:23Speaker 3: one note and bland. They've got no substance to them.
- 3:26Speaker 3: They're just forgettable, which in turn makes the episode kind
- 3:29Speaker 3: of forgettable.
- 3:30Speaker 2: I certainly see where we're coming from. Don't forget we
- 3:32Speaker 2: do have a bit of wiggam action as well, though
- 3:34Speaker 2: we do.
- 3:34Speaker 3: Actually that is right, yeah, but I want to touch
- 3:37Speaker 3: on that as well. It's actually kind of depressing that
- 3:39Speaker 3: that story for a reason. I'll explain but I liked
- 3:44Speaker 3: the Homer and Marge story because as someone who has
- 3:47Speaker 3: been married now for over twelve years, Yeah, I wouldn't
- 3:51Speaker 3: say you're desperately trying to recapture anything, but you get
- 3:54Speaker 3: used to get comfortable, right, yes, and sometimes you're sort
- 3:57Speaker 3: of seeking to try and recapture that feeling of the
- 3:59Speaker 3: first couple of months.
- 4:00Speaker 6: Oh.
- 4:00Speaker 2: Absolutely, the honeymoon phase.
- 4:02Speaker 3: The honeymoon phase, and that doesn't mean it you don't
- 4:04Speaker 3: love each other, doesn't mean that the sparks aren't there,
- 4:06Speaker 3: but it just means you can't.
- 4:07Speaker 2: Really you've transitioned into another mode.
- 4:09Speaker 3: Yeah. Absolutely, And seeing Marge and Homer go back to this,
- 4:13Speaker 3: it reminded me of Nichol and I went out. We
- 4:15Speaker 3: don't go out on many date nights anymore because we
- 4:16Speaker 3: have the kids and it's just hard. You work, blah
- 4:18Speaker 3: blah blah, and we don't make time for ourselves. We
- 4:20Speaker 3: went out on a date night about no two months ago,
- 4:23Speaker 3: and it was similar to this, where we went like
- 4:25Speaker 3: you could almost say margin humb rock role playing here.
- 4:27Speaker 3: We won't go to that level like that, but it
- 4:29Speaker 3: was just it felt like we were just young and
- 4:31Speaker 3: hanging out again, getting to know one getting to know
- 4:33Speaker 3: what was getting to nobody that kind of I know
- 4:35Speaker 3: what you're trying to say.
- 4:36Speaker 2: Yeah, they're just the recapturing.
- 4:38Speaker 3: We captured the vibe of when we're just first dating,
- 4:40Speaker 3: we're just out playing pool together, just us, you know,
- 4:43Speaker 3: no friends around, no kids, it was just us on
- 4:45Speaker 3: a date. That's what it felt like. Yeah, no, it's
- 4:47Speaker 3: and it was special. Oh no, it's a terrific when
- 4:49Speaker 3: that thing, yeah happens. Absolutely, Yeah, I mean, look, the
- 4:52Speaker 3: lovely Louise and I will endeavor to do that certainly
- 4:55Speaker 3: when we when we get a spare moment, because you
- 4:57Speaker 3: know she's got her kids as well.
- 5:00Speaker 2: Throws challenges at you. It's very easy when you first
- 5:04Speaker 2: meet someone and when you love someone to sort of, yeah,
- 5:07Speaker 2: fall into a bit of a routine. Particularly well, elsewhere
- 5:11Speaker 2: in the world, it's probably nice and warm, maybe too warm.
- 5:13Speaker 2: Here in Australia, it's very cold, or we call very cold,
- 5:17Speaker 2: what we call very cold. It's pretty cold.
- 5:19Speaker 3: Our main man, our patron, Jordan, mum and rich. He's
- 5:22Speaker 3: looking at us laughing.
- 5:24Speaker 2: Five degrees that's shorts where the buddy hard up whims.
- 5:27Speaker 2: But yeah, it's pretty cold. You're really kind of in
- 5:30Speaker 2: hibernation mode, you sort of don't want to do too much.
- 5:33Speaker 2: It takes a bit of effort and a bit of
- 5:35Speaker 2: concentration and go, no, we can't just sort of grow
- 5:39Speaker 2: and hibernate on the couch or whatever. You got to
- 5:41Speaker 2: get out and do stuff. The Lovely always has pointed
- 5:43Speaker 2: this out to me. I'm like, I think I just
- 5:44Speaker 2: want to stay in and hibernate.
- 5:46Speaker 3: Well, we just get where creatures of habit And especially
- 5:48Speaker 3: when you're married with kids, you just get into a
- 5:50Speaker 3: routine because it's easier to keep the kids under control
- 5:52Speaker 3: when you've got a routine. Kids need routine, right, But
- 5:55Speaker 3: because you've got the kids in a routine, you essentially
- 5:57Speaker 3: get into a routine and you just find yourself doing
- 5:59Speaker 3: the same thing day in day out, and you forget
- 6:01Speaker 3: to just make that time for yourself. So yeah, it's
- 6:03Speaker 3: very important that make time for yourselves. Because, as you
- 6:05Speaker 3: we said Homer inmage here, I really liked seeing there
- 6:08Speaker 3: was that first date night whether at the party and
- 6:10Speaker 3: he's talking about going in space and they're going back
- 6:12Speaker 3: to his players and that kind of thing. I do
- 6:14Speaker 3: think as the episode went on, it I sort of thought,
- 6:17Speaker 3: you're taking this a bit too Seriously, guys, it's kind
- 6:19Speaker 3: of like giving here the key to his apartment. I
- 6:20Speaker 3: was like, I get the joke, but y's a bit
- 6:22Speaker 3: far vest to this point. The additional date night I appreciated,
- 6:25Speaker 3: but then it got to the point where I was like,
- 6:27Speaker 3: has the key to the apartment?
- 6:28Speaker 2: Yeah, you're going it's going on here, You're going through
- 6:31Speaker 2: every stage of the relationship again. Yeah, okay. As we said,
- 6:35Speaker 2: the best jokes are the ones you have to explain it.
- 6:37Speaker 2: This felt like it was explaining itself as it went along.
- 6:39Speaker 2: So like the vibe, certainly, it's great to see these
- 6:43Speaker 2: two reigniting the spark.
- 6:45Speaker 3: I want to know what that music was too, that
- 6:47Speaker 3: was playing at the party. I couldn't find any notes
- 6:49Speaker 3: on Wikipedia for it, but there was. It's the kind
- 6:52Speaker 3: of isy you listen to when you're a young teen
- 6:54Speaker 3: or whatever and you just sure first romance. It felt
- 6:56Speaker 3: like a teen comedy kind of vibe. I really really
- 6:59Speaker 3: liked it. So I like that aspect. But as I
- 7:01Speaker 3: was getting back all the characters, so for example, the
- 7:03Speaker 3: two guys that live in the same just one note forgettable,
- 7:07Speaker 3: do even names? Ye don't even get names from That's
- 7:10Speaker 3: the thing they don't even name we at least the Caitlin's.
- 7:12Speaker 3: The joke is that they're yes. But besides that, no
- 7:16Speaker 3: one else gets a name. The teacher doesn't really get
- 7:17Speaker 3: a name. It's just all no.
- 7:19Speaker 2: I mean, the probably the one for the most personality
- 7:21Speaker 2: is French speaking Ralph. Yeah that is true.
- 7:24Speaker 3: Yeah. Now, Elliott Page formerly Ellen Page correct yes, plays
- 7:28Speaker 3: Alaska Nebraska, which is just a rip off Ofatana. Again,
- 7:33Speaker 3: just feels like a character that's just there to mock
- 7:36Speaker 3: something that was popular at the time. There's no real
- 7:38Speaker 3: substance to it. And if you're gonna have Elliott play
- 7:41Speaker 3: the character that they are known for is like the
- 7:43Speaker 3: character from Juno, why not just have a character like Juno?
- 7:45Speaker 3: Just felt weird having a Hannah Montana sque character, but
- 7:48Speaker 3: in Juno form.
- 7:49Speaker 2: Why not go the extra mile and try to get
- 7:51Speaker 2: Miley Cyrus.
- 7:52Speaker 3: Yeah, it just felt so far fetched. I was like,
- 7:56Speaker 3: what is the point of all this?
- 7:58Speaker 2: You know? Yeah, it felt like a very let's pluck
- 8:02Speaker 2: various things from pop culture and to fill up space
- 8:05Speaker 2: to add texture to this particular episode.
- 8:07Speaker 3: But the Inspector another one.
- 8:08Speaker 2: Yeah. The Inspector, you know, is a well basically a
- 8:12Speaker 2: ripoff or just looked exactly the same, look exactly the
- 8:15Speaker 2: same as Anton Shagul from No Country for Old Men.
- 8:19Speaker 2: Was it the Oscar winner? I think it was the
- 8:20Speaker 2: Oscar winner of the previously sure, yeah, all that year
- 8:23Speaker 2: the Hannah Montana, Alaska, Nebraska. Yeah kind of deal. That's
- 8:27Speaker 2: it just felt very These are things that are on
- 8:30Speaker 2: the Zegus quick quick quick way cool. Yeah, we're up
- 8:33Speaker 2: with what the kids are down with. I mean, essentially,
- 8:36Speaker 2: it's a very i won't say a played out plot,
- 8:39Speaker 2: but you know, reading reviews of this particular episode and
- 8:42Speaker 2: reading feedback about this particular episode, there's a lot of like, well,
- 8:46Speaker 2: haven't we seen Lisa in this season? You know, having
- 8:48Speaker 2: having to associate with quote unquote mean girls or popular
- 8:51Speaker 2: girls or whatever.
- 8:51Speaker 3: That's true, like two episodes ago. Yeah, that was literally
- 8:54Speaker 3: last episode.
- 8:55Speaker 2: Didn't we have in your You only moved twice. Everyone
- 8:59Speaker 2: moves to a new nameborhood, but it's not quite that
- 9:01Speaker 2: what they think it is, or it's not as good
- 9:02Speaker 2: as they hoped.
- 9:03Speaker 3: At least that's twenty years ago.
- 9:04Speaker 2: That's true. You might as well if you got to
- 9:06Speaker 2: recycle a plot, do one from twenty years ago, that
- 9:08Speaker 2: generation ago, generation ago. Absolutely not last week, but it
- 9:11Speaker 2: felt like, yeah, relatively, it felt pretty thin on the ground.
- 9:15Speaker 2: So it's like, oh, we've got to we've got to
- 9:16Speaker 2: decorate this Thredbear Christmas tree with some nice ballbles like
- 9:20Speaker 2: Ana Montana, like No Country for Old Man, all that
- 9:23Speaker 2: kind of business, and you're right, feels just a little
- 9:25Speaker 2: bit skimpy, yea, even though those bits were i know,
- 9:30Speaker 2: not unentertaining. I mean, I've got to say I was
- 9:32Speaker 2: really taken with the whole inspected thing, even if that
- 9:36Speaker 2: also a little bit played out by the end. But
- 9:38Speaker 2: when I first heard the character speak, I was like, well,
- 9:42Speaker 2: they actually got Havier Bardem to reprise his role. That's fantastic.
- 9:47Speaker 2: Wait to then credits Reese LaMarsh. Is there anything that
- 9:50Speaker 2: man can't do?
- 9:50Speaker 3: He's had so many Sis episodes these days he is, And.
- 9:53Speaker 2: Well, I mean, if you've got a great player like that,
- 9:55Speaker 2: by all means, don't leave him on the bench. Put
- 9:57Speaker 2: him in the game. Put him in the game, coach.
- 9:59Speaker 3: But it's like they never really gave him a huge character.
- 10:03Speaker 3: He just plays all this sort of minor characters. Really well, yes, yeah, yeah,
- 10:08Speaker 3: but Lisa's story right, and you were touching on it
- 10:10Speaker 3: how it is very similar to the one from last week,
- 10:12Speaker 3: which makes complete sense.
- 10:13Speaker 2: You're right.
- 10:14Speaker 3: I also didn't really find it that believable that Lisa,
- 10:16Speaker 3: of all people, would be okay with succeeding by being
- 10:20Speaker 3: a fake version of herself.
- 10:21Speaker 2: I get where you're coming from.
- 10:22Speaker 3: I mean, so she was annoyed that she wasn't getting a's, right, Yeah,
- 10:26Speaker 3: so she's going to do whatever she can to keep
- 10:28Speaker 3: getting a's. But you'd think Lisa, of all people, we
- 10:30Speaker 3: just reviewed the boy he knew too much, right, and
- 10:33Speaker 3: she was the one saying she's sort.
- 10:34Speaker 2: Of the voice of reason or that, oh yeah, the
- 10:36Speaker 2: voice of taking a moral stance. Yeah.
- 10:38Speaker 3: And I get that they've sort of changed every character
- 10:41Speaker 3: by this point, but just felt a bit silly that
- 10:43Speaker 3: Lisa of all people would be willing to pretend because
- 10:46Speaker 3: why was she want to be cool? She doesn't want
- 10:48Speaker 3: to be cool. We literally learned last week that she's
- 10:50Speaker 3: not interested in being cool.
- 10:51Speaker 2: I get where you're coming from. I get the feeling
- 10:53Speaker 2: that is probably a bit of compound insecurity. You know,
- 10:56Speaker 2: if she's got she's at the stage or at this
- 10:58Speaker 2: school where standards have been raised a bit. Not that
- 11:03Speaker 2: Lisa ever cruised or coasted or anything like that. But
- 11:06Speaker 2: for her not to be a number one, that's going
- 11:09Speaker 2: to put a dent in her confidence. And then you
- 11:11Speaker 2: add to that, Oh, well, I'm in a new school.
- 11:13Speaker 2: I could be something else, you know, and people might
- 11:15Speaker 2: like me here. Oh that's not happening either. She's probably, yeah,
- 11:18Speaker 2: probably going to take the approach. Oh look, I'll do
- 11:20Speaker 2: anything I can to fit in to feel good about myself. Here.
- 11:24Speaker 2: Reminded me a bit of the movie Never Been Kissed
- 11:28Speaker 2: In some ways, it's definitely seen that your girl, Yeah,
- 11:31Speaker 2: through Barrymore, because there's a bit in that where, well,
- 11:33Speaker 2: the plot of it, she goes back to school. She's
- 11:35Speaker 2: like a grown woman or a young woman in her
- 11:37Speaker 2: twenties or something working as a reporter, and her editor
- 11:40Speaker 2: sends her back to high school and to see, you way,
- 11:42Speaker 2: what the kids are like these days. She was a
- 11:44Speaker 2: real horrible, a real hapless nerd during her first high
- 11:48Speaker 2: school experience. You things, I got my chance to do over.
- 11:51Speaker 2: And she goes back and she's the same old nerd.
- 11:53Speaker 2: Luckily a cool older brother to be my nerd. Luckily,
- 11:59Speaker 2: a cool little that comes along pose as a high school
- 12:02Speaker 2: student as well. Really stretching credibility. But he's David Aket,
- 12:05Speaker 2: I think, and he's the one who sort of goes
- 12:07Speaker 2: around saying, you know who's really cool is my sister.
- 12:10Speaker 2: So I don't know a little bit of a play
- 12:11Speaker 2: on that. I guess it is.
- 12:12Speaker 3: You're right.
- 12:13Speaker 2: I hadn't even thought about that, A little bit of
- 12:15Speaker 2: a play on that. If that's been generous, if I
- 12:17Speaker 2: was less generous, A bit of a rip off at that.
- 12:20Speaker 3: I didn't actually go through the cultural references. Was that
- 12:23Speaker 3: mentioned in the I don't think it was.
- 12:24Speaker 2: I think that's one that I actually came up with.
- 12:26Speaker 2: So maybe I should just edit the wiki pai never
- 12:29Speaker 2: been Kissed? What did they come out? Never been Kissed?
- 12:31Speaker 2: I want to say it's ninety nine. It is ninety nine.
- 12:34Speaker 3: I've not revisited that for a long time, thing, and
- 12:36Speaker 3: I have to It looks like you're right that Rob
- 12:38Speaker 3: Galla is played by David Arkette. She is Josie Galla,
- 12:42Speaker 3: Josie Grossi, jose Grossie had An, that's the nickname. They
- 12:46Speaker 3: freaking How do you remember all this stuff?
- 12:49Speaker 2: I don't know why I remember, because I nor have
- 12:52Speaker 2: I visited revisited never been Kissed? In a very long time,
- 12:54Speaker 2: but I do remember that aspect of it in mind
- 12:57Speaker 2: is like a flight track. It's sticky, useless shit, sticky
- 13:02Speaker 2: and covered with flys. That's like my wife Nicola always
- 13:05Speaker 2: says to me. She goes, you know everything about the
- 13:07Speaker 2: most useless shit. She goes stuff that's important you know
- 13:09Speaker 2: nothing about, Thanks, honey, but you can tell me what
- 13:13Speaker 2: song was released on in April of nineteen ninety seven.
- 13:16Speaker 2: The Lovely Luise will occasionally say this to me as well.
- 13:21Speaker 3: A good trivia team, Oh.
- 13:23Speaker 2: Yeah, absolutely, yeah, take it on the road.
- 13:25Speaker 3: I'm going on to a Simpsons trivia night next Thursday.
- 13:28Speaker 3: I'm kind of nervous because everyone there just expects me
- 13:30Speaker 3: to be really good because I do the Simpsons podcast.
- 13:33Speaker 2: Are you the Ringer? They sort of brought you on
- 13:35Speaker 2: broad as the Ringer?
- 13:35Speaker 3: Well, it's basically I had Johnny Knoxville start, so our
- 13:39Speaker 3: man Cruit's going to be on the team, our main
- 13:40Speaker 3: man we used to work with, right, So we had
- 13:43Speaker 3: had someone that is a father of one of Elliot's
- 13:45Speaker 3: friends says, I'm doing a Simpsons trivia night.
- 13:46Speaker 2: Do you want to come?
- 13:47Speaker 3: And I was like, oh, it's like we could really
- 13:48Speaker 3: use your help. I was like, so, I'm taking Nikola along,
- 13:51Speaker 3: and then our man cruit goes, I'm doing a Simpsons
- 13:53Speaker 3: trivia night, you reculd you be on my team? And
- 13:54Speaker 3: I was like, I'm kind of already on a team,
- 13:56Speaker 3: and he goes, cu't be on your team, and I'm
- 13:57Speaker 3: like sure, So, so how to creed for me?
- 14:01Speaker 2: Yeah? I will indeed, Yeah, good dude, indeed.
- 14:03Speaker 3: But they simpces trivia and I'm just a little bit
- 14:05Speaker 3: nervous because everyone, you know, when everyone just expects you
- 14:07Speaker 3: to be good, because you you're known as the Simpsons guys,
- 14:10Speaker 3: the movie guys. If you did a movie trivia, everyone ago,
- 14:12Speaker 3: we'll just be we'll win if we get guy. And
- 14:14Speaker 3: then there's the expectation. And I always feel like I
- 14:17Speaker 3: can never live up to the expectations of anyone, including myself.
- 14:20Speaker 2: Well, yeah, this is a common problem that charismatic dudes
- 14:24Speaker 2: and high achievers like us have.
- 14:25Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly, Now, you were mentioning Wigham before I was
- 14:28Speaker 3: gonna say how there's.
- 14:29Speaker 2: A bit of a dark theme here.
- 14:31Speaker 3: So the mini plot of Bart using Wigham to fake
- 14:34Speaker 3: some street cred at the new School. He gets Wigham
- 14:36Speaker 3: to fake arrest him say he's a bad boy, blah
- 14:39Speaker 3: blah blah, everyone falls in love with him, takes him
- 14:40Speaker 3: to the beach to dump him off, and says Nagger
- 14:43Speaker 3: to come to Ralph's birthday party.
- 14:44Speaker 2: Right.
- 14:45Speaker 3: I've always found the desperation, because this isn't the first
- 14:47Speaker 3: time this kind of thing has happened. I've always found
- 14:49Speaker 3: the desperation that Wigham goes to in order to get
- 14:53Speaker 3: people to like Ralph and to include Ralph in things
- 14:58Speaker 3: is really sad because he the father can see that,
- 15:01Speaker 3: you know, his son, Oh yeah, no one wants to
- 15:03Speaker 3: be around him. And I get that Ralph. I get
- 15:06Speaker 3: that Raulf would be very annoying to be around it
- 15:08Speaker 3: the best of times in long doses, right, short doses.
- 15:11Speaker 3: I'm sure he's fine, But for him to always be
- 15:14Speaker 3: going out of his way to try and include Ralph
- 15:16Speaker 3: in things and people just being like, no, I don't
- 15:17Speaker 3: want to, it's a really sad aspect of that relationship.
- 15:20Speaker 2: It's a combination of very sweet, you know, Clancy wants
- 15:24Speaker 2: to really do right by his son, yeah, and a
- 15:26Speaker 2: little bit sour in that way, and even more than
- 15:29Speaker 2: a little bit, so it's actually quite sour, Yeah, quite sad.
- 15:32Speaker 3: You're right, because Ralph is seen as the dim wit
- 15:34Speaker 3: and the moron, right, but it's also seen as the
- 15:36Speaker 3: kid that no one wants to hang out with as
- 15:38Speaker 3: a result of that, and it's.
- 15:39Speaker 2: Actually really sad it is, and the show you know, constantly,
- 15:44Speaker 2: I know, wrong foots itself in some way. I mean,
- 15:46Speaker 2: if we're meant to feel that way about the Wiggams
- 15:49Speaker 2: and about Ralph even this episode, why have a scene
- 15:53Speaker 2: at the very start where Miss Hoover basically hands over
- 15:56Speaker 2: the class to Ralph and Ralph just does some of
- 15:59Speaker 2: the most stupid Yeah, and not necessarily even just dumb shit,
- 16:03Speaker 2: but also like dumb dorky shit, like the amazing Ralph
- 16:07Speaker 2: and jumps out of the windows, like why, what's the
- 16:09Speaker 2: point of this? Yeah, you know, I mean this is
- 16:11Speaker 2: not even There is zero substance to the character of
- 16:14Speaker 2: Ralph these days. That's pretty much the case, zero substance.
- 16:17Speaker 3: To many characters these days. We've mentioned the bullies because
- 16:19Speaker 3: they introduced Shawna recently thought that might be something new
- 16:21Speaker 3: and freshmen for that dynamic. But the bullies again, they're
- 16:24Speaker 3: just they're all the same.
- 16:25Speaker 2: They're idiots.
- 16:25Speaker 3: Everyone's an idiot. Yeah, why is that made everyone dumb?
- 16:30Speaker 3: Lisa's willing to de salate her believes and morals to
- 16:32Speaker 3: be cool and popular now, and then by the end
- 16:33Speaker 3: of it, she's like, you know what, I'd rather just
- 16:35Speaker 3: be unpopular and uncool because of me, not because of
- 16:38Speaker 3: who I'm pretending to be. And I'm like, you've said
- 16:39Speaker 3: this like three times, Yeah, we we got it the
- 16:43Speaker 3: first time.
- 16:45Speaker 2: Something I wanted to bring up as well. Though another
- 16:47Speaker 2: movie allusion. I guess this one may not be on
- 16:49Speaker 2: Wikipedia either. When bart is being apprehended by the cops, Oh,
- 16:54Speaker 2: we've got you, bad boy. Oh my, oh he's the
- 16:57Speaker 2: well yeah, actually I said it before the Ultimate Bad
- 17:00Speaker 2: all that kind of suff take him away in the
- 17:01Speaker 2: cop car. Everyone's like, oh, boys want to be and
- 17:04Speaker 2: girls want to be with him because that guy. That's
- 17:07Speaker 2: basically the end of Super Bad for mcloven. Yeah, where
- 17:10Speaker 2: he's uh the cops, he's been hanging out. Well, I realize, Oh,
- 17:15Speaker 2: mcloven's a fake idea, this guy, this is a high
- 17:17Speaker 2: school kid. Okay, but we like you. Okay, how can
- 17:21Speaker 2: we work this? Old works out? Everybody? Okay, we'll arrest you,
- 17:23Speaker 2: but you know we're gonna make you look like a
- 17:25Speaker 2: tough guy and everyone's gonna be like.
- 17:26Speaker 3: That, so they don't do anything else besides role models
- 17:32Speaker 3: Krystal in Min's players.
- 17:33Speaker 2: Yeah, oh he was in kick Ass.
- 17:35Speaker 4: Ah.
- 17:35Speaker 2: Yeah, true, he's been a few things, I think. Yeah,
- 17:39Speaker 2: I think he's actually worked pretty steadily. He can just
- 17:42Speaker 2: do conventions forever as meet loved. Oh absolutely, yeah. I
- 17:45Speaker 2: think now he's probably reached a stage where, well, Superbed's
- 17:49Speaker 2: coming up on twenty years old. That was eight, two
- 17:51Speaker 2: thousand and eight. Yeah. Yeah, we're only in twenty twenty five.
- 17:54Speaker 2: We're not We're not there yet.
- 17:55Speaker 3: Yeah, this is the thing there's gonna be. But that
- 17:58Speaker 3: that to me seems like I go, oh, that's like
- 18:00Speaker 3: the modern day American pie. There's twenty year olds out
- 18:02Speaker 3: there are going, what, old man, what are you talking about?
- 18:06Speaker 2: Modern day? What you don't you get to use the
- 18:10Speaker 2: term modern day even if you're talking about now?
- 18:13Speaker 7: No, so.
- 18:16Speaker 2: Oh it doesn't even ever have to hit the twentieth
- 18:18Speaker 2: anniversary mark. But yeah, he'd probably be stroing around Conso Yeah,
- 18:22Speaker 2: it's me loving time bags with the dollar signs on him,
- 18:25Speaker 2: little ID cards of course. Yeah, put a little signature
- 18:30Speaker 2: on there you go. CMP just a Min's plass, My
- 18:34Speaker 2: favorite favorite moments from Waverley Hills nine No. Two one
- 18:37Speaker 2: do in these tough economic times. I did relate to
- 18:39Speaker 2: Homer saying we can't buy, we can't get a place
- 18:42Speaker 2: in Waverley Hills. The house prices have commas.
- 18:44Speaker 3: And them I has in mine as well. I was
- 18:46Speaker 3: like so relatable. I like that wise guy was in
- 18:51Speaker 3: there again, Yes, like every town has a wise Guy.
- 18:55Speaker 3: Yeah he's cloned or something.
- 18:57Speaker 2: Let's work. Is Waverly Hills like a different town, a
- 19:01Speaker 2: different district? Different?
- 19:03Speaker 3: It's still in Springfield. Yeah, yeah, it's like going to well,
- 19:07Speaker 3: Beverly Hills is part of Las You know what I mean?
- 19:09Speaker 3: Is it's just a rich section of Springfield. I guess yeah, yeah,
- 19:12Speaker 3: because Bark goes by Costington's at some stage as well,
- 19:15Speaker 3: so which is a Springfield institution. So I'm guessing they're
- 19:18Speaker 3: still in Springfield, but they're in the ritzy part of Springfield.
- 19:21Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, I want to make that clear. Yeah, but
- 19:25Speaker 2: why is guy what was his sort of role was
- 19:27Speaker 2: he not? The is he like a city is.
- 19:29Speaker 3: A city hall? He was working them as that's right,
- 19:32Speaker 3: local residences. I guess you pretty much it.
- 19:34Speaker 2: Yeah, I mentioned well, I mentioned Coston just before. And
- 19:38Speaker 2: I like the Costing Cans gag where he's in the
- 19:41Speaker 2: window he got a little mustache on.
- 19:42Speaker 3: It's been done Tom and Tommy again. But yeah, oh.
- 19:43Speaker 2: Absolutely, But when a good gag is a when it's
- 19:46Speaker 2: a good gag running into the ground, yeah, mentioned Maurice LaMarsh.
- 19:52Speaker 2: Fantastic having a impersonation. Yeah, even if the character doesn't
- 19:56Speaker 2: really do a whole lot or add a great deal
- 19:58Speaker 2: to it. Again, a bit of a nice bit of texture.
- 20:02Speaker 2: And I thought the insecurity gag about the security guards was.
- 20:08Speaker 3: Whenever I see shout out to anyone who's more security
- 20:12Speaker 3: guard out there, even a bouncer, I look at him.
- 20:14Speaker 2: I'm just like, not real, Paul blah more, cop, Paul
- 20:22Speaker 2: bla more. I wanted to enjoy it.
- 20:28Speaker 3: I liked Homer allowing Marge to play the game and
- 20:32Speaker 3: her just going, I'm doing it with the tea bag.
- 20:34Speaker 3: Yeah this is when would you say, yeah it was
- 20:37Speaker 3: the tea baking yet what oh yeah the game? Yeah,
- 20:40Speaker 3: so I think it was desecrating or whatever, of course, yeah,
- 20:44Speaker 3: but I it reminds me of when I play with
- 20:46Speaker 3: the kids now and I go, he do want to
- 20:47Speaker 3: do this? And a push circles mainly. Allie's pretty good
- 20:50Speaker 3: at games. Wholly would do like a circle or a jump.
- 20:52Speaker 3: He jumped over the gap and you can see she's
- 20:55Speaker 3: so proud of herself. You know, she's really like, I
- 20:58Speaker 3: did it. Doesn't say anything, she just goes.
- 21:02Speaker 2: Saw this meme the other day where yes grown up
- 21:04Speaker 2: was watching a kid watching a let's play. Well, why
- 21:09Speaker 2: don't you just play a video game? And the kids said, well,
- 21:11Speaker 2: you watch football. Whinn't outside playing football? So I just
- 21:15Speaker 2: connected with the WiFi. It is true, Elliott.
- 21:21Speaker 3: Well he does though, because Alliott was right in the
- 21:23Speaker 3: Crash bandicoot recently and he hasn't been playing the PlayStation
- 21:25Speaker 3: much at all, which been outside kicking the foot is
- 21:27Speaker 3: much better. But he would watch someone play the level
- 21:30Speaker 3: and then he would then go and do it. And
- 21:32Speaker 3: that's why he said. He go, hey, you gotta go back.
- 21:35Speaker 3: There's where the red jemmies and I go, no, it's
- 21:36Speaker 3: not He goes, yeah, just go through this box. And
- 21:37Speaker 3: I'm like, how did you know? He goes, I watched
- 21:40Speaker 3: so and so do it on YouTube. I'm like, hanging
- 21:42Speaker 3: out with someone without me, I'm supposed to teach you
- 21:46Speaker 3: these things.
- 21:46Speaker 2: Yes, indeed, they't be taking a word of some let's
- 21:49Speaker 2: play yeah, random, no dirty.
- 21:52Speaker 3: You've been out there gunabouting. I liked missus k sull
- 21:56Speaker 3: and the s of my greatest hit CDs. Oh yeah yeah,
- 21:59Speaker 3: just tap me back. I'll talk more about that when
- 22:02Speaker 3: that moment comes. But any other favorite moments for you.
- 22:05Speaker 2: That's all I've got for now, but I'm sure others
- 22:06Speaker 2: will come up as we talk about the episode.
- 22:08Speaker 8: Next question, you there eating the Beast?
- 22:12Speaker 2: All right, trivia time.
- 22:13Speaker 3: My first question for you is where is Homer's toilet
- 22:18Speaker 3: at his new apartment?
- 22:20Speaker 2: Oh man specific? Yeah, and it's at a restaurant down
- 22:25Speaker 2: the street.
- 22:25Speaker 3: But is it the Ethiopian right at the end of
- 22:27Speaker 3: the block, at the.
- 22:28Speaker 2: End of the block. Yeah, hey, you got there. When
- 22:31Speaker 2: Miss Hoover receives tenure, he decides to put a feed
- 22:34Speaker 2: up and read which magazine in style? In Style?
- 22:37Speaker 3: That was going to be a trivia question that I didn't.
- 22:39Speaker 3: I'm glad I didn't. It's yours. My next one is
- 22:42Speaker 3: what I've already ruined it myself in the intro? What
- 22:45Speaker 3: does Alaska order well so fried chicken skin and what else?
- 22:49Speaker 3: That's a really good Questionified waterurified water, something yeah, some
- 22:53Speaker 3: type of water.
- 22:55Speaker 2: Speaking of Alaska, she is on a poster at the
- 22:58Speaker 2: high school. It says four words. Do you remember what
- 23:03Speaker 2: those words are? Reading isn't just whatever? Reading isn't just whatever?
- 23:09Speaker 2: And my final question, figure is what type of movie
- 23:11Speaker 2: does Homer like to talk through? What's comedy?
- 23:14Speaker 3: Comedy is like watching a comedy if you don't want
- 23:17Speaker 3: to hear more jokes? Yeah, logic there, It is logic.
- 23:20Speaker 3: But granted, someone who talks during movies is very annoying.
- 23:23Speaker 3: Depends depends on the situation.
- 23:25Speaker 2: I get.
- 23:26Speaker 3: If you're at a party and it's a bunch of
- 23:27Speaker 3: mons mucking about, that's fine. But you're trying to watch
- 23:29Speaker 3: a movie and someone is commenting. You know what, I
- 23:32Speaker 3: notice I've been doing a lot lately. We're watching a
- 23:35Speaker 3: TV show because I don't want to interrupt and speak
- 23:37Speaker 3: over the top, So Nicola canin't of here. I'll pause it,
- 23:40Speaker 3: and like, I think that's actually more annoying, might be pausing. Yes,
- 23:45Speaker 3: what do you want, Brendan, Yeah, sure, push play please
- 23:47Speaker 3: pause the game? Brendan, Yeah, what do you want to
- 23:49Speaker 3: tell me?
- 23:49Speaker 2: Okay?
- 23:49Speaker 3: Cool, I don't care, push play please. This could have
- 23:53Speaker 3: been an email, so the other day we're watching what
- 23:57Speaker 3: were we watching? EO or something like that, right of course,
- 24:00Speaker 3: And I paused it, looked at Nikola and she looked
- 24:01Speaker 3: at me, and I realized I was like the fourth
- 24:03Speaker 3: one have done this.
- 24:04Speaker 2: I was like, I just push play. I didn't say anything. Well,
- 24:08Speaker 2: you should have said, we now return you to we
- 24:10Speaker 2: are already in progress, because that's always that's always a winner,
- 24:14Speaker 2: always a winner. Yeah, any more questions for me? I
- 24:17Speaker 2: can give you one more, and it's related to the
- 24:21Speaker 2: whole air supply telemarketing deal. Okay, what is on missus
- 24:27Speaker 2: Kay's mug when she is all question selling air supply CDs?
- 24:33Speaker 2: I've got absolutely no idea. What is it? It said?
- 24:35Speaker 3: Life is a beach? Life is a beach? Okay, all right,
- 24:39Speaker 3: well that sums up.
- 24:40Speaker 2: There we go.

- 26:51Speaker 3: All right, So the original air date of Waverley Hills
- 26:53Speaker 3: nine oh two to one DULT was May third, two
- 26:56Speaker 3: thousand and nine. Would you like to know the top
- 26:57Speaker 3: three films at the US box Office? Tell me a
- 26:59Speaker 3: little bit about them, all right? Then it's got a
- 27:00Speaker 3: fine because my committery this thing where it just closed
- 27:03Speaker 3: on my tabs and I was like, that's unfortunate.
- 27:05Speaker 2: Oh, boys, all the tabs, not.
- 27:09Speaker 3: Some all, all of them. Unacceptable. Oh, it looks like
- 27:12Speaker 3: the number one film at the US box office or
- 27:14Speaker 3: number three was obsessed.
- 27:15Speaker 2: Never heard of it. We talked about this the other day.
- 27:18Speaker 2: It's the version of Fatal Attraction with the interesting.
- 27:20Speaker 3: Okay, yes it was on. It was number two of
- 27:21Speaker 3: I guess number two. He's married to Beyonce, Ghosts of
- 27:25Speaker 3: Girlfriend's Past with Matthew McConaughey. Is it really I believe yeah,
- 27:30Speaker 3: shut on or shut off?
- 27:32Speaker 2: I believe it's mostly shirt on. Okay, but this might
- 27:34Speaker 2: have been like one of the last rom coms that
- 27:36Speaker 2: he did, because he did a few of them for
- 27:39Speaker 2: a while. I had to lose Guy in Ten Days,
- 27:41Speaker 2: Fool's Gold, all that kind of stuff. Don't want ed
- 27:43Speaker 2: TV TB is not a bad movie. It's no Truman Show,
- 27:46Speaker 2: but it's pretty good. It's it's listing the shadow of
- 27:48Speaker 2: Truman Show very much.
- 27:49Speaker 5: So.
- 27:49Speaker 2: Yes, but I think that might have been where he's like,
- 27:53Speaker 2: you know what, I don't think I'm put my shirt on.
- 27:58Speaker 2: I think I'm making too many of these and oh
- 28:00Speaker 2: that's a dreadful mcconaughe and no, hell was that? No, no, no.
- 28:03Speaker 2: I used to be able to do it halfway decentmcconaughey
- 28:05Speaker 2: can't do it anymore. I won't, I won't even try.
- 28:08Speaker 2: But I was Interstellar a few years later than that.
- 28:10Speaker 2: It was. Yeah. I think mcconaughson's sort of kicked off
- 28:12Speaker 2: with True Detective They're True a couple of years later,
- 28:15Speaker 2: but I think he was around the time of Ghost
- 28:17Speaker 2: of Girlfriend's Pasty Goes. I'm making too many of these
- 28:19Speaker 2: and people and might be starting to think I'm a
- 28:20Speaker 2: bit of a joke and a bit one note. Time
- 28:22Speaker 2: to regroup, come back stronger than ever, And he did well.
- 28:26Speaker 2: I'm Maddy. And number one was X Men Origins Wolverine.
- 28:29Speaker 2: Oh terrible movie really, oh yeah, awful? Yeah, remember one
- 28:35Speaker 2: at the box of It was the first week though,
- 28:37Speaker 2: so oh yeah, everyone was like, yeah, a Wolverine movie.
- 28:41Speaker 2: Finally he's going out on his own solo.
- 28:44Speaker 3: I had the pre release like leap demos or whatever,
- 28:46Speaker 3: and had no special that was the Oh maybe it
- 28:49Speaker 3: was that Deadpool. Yeah, really bad it does.
- 28:52Speaker 2: That's right, because yeah, this is the first appearance of
- 28:54Speaker 2: Ryan Reynolds as dead or as Wade Wilson at least.
- 28:57Speaker 3: Yeah, but it'd be interested next week to find out
- 29:00Speaker 3: how far down there.
- 29:02Speaker 2: Goes. Yeah, but no, not a good movie unfortunately.
- 29:05Speaker 3: Anyway, debut at number one when this episode originally aired.
- 29:09Speaker 2: Oh look, I'm sure it added a couple more million
- 29:11Speaker 2: to the Hugh Jackman bottom line, so good for him. Yeah.
- 29:14Speaker 3: Production code La b F one zero, Written by Jay
- 29:17Speaker 3: Stewart Burns, directed by Mike Frank Polsino. I Guess stars

- 29:23Speaker 3: as Alaska, Nebraska, and Marshall Balls has a little couple
- 29:26Speaker 3: of lines there as missus Kay Couch gave. The Simpsons
- 29:29Speaker 3: are seated in the audience of the Colosseum during the
- 29:31Speaker 3: Roman Empire. Glad to add his head flies into the
- 29:33Speaker 3: audience and Bart catches.
- 29:34Speaker 2: It home, is very proud, rolls his hair. Yes.
- 29:37Speaker 3: How does the episode kick Office of Davis? Do you
- 29:39Speaker 3: remember the episode kicks off with Marge. She she's not
- 29:42Speaker 3: really jogging so much as power walking.
- 29:43Speaker 2: I've got power walking. Yeah, see, it doesn't look like
- 29:45Speaker 2: she's much of a runner. But coming across science.
- 29:49Speaker 3: Water a rip off of vitamin water.
- 29:52Speaker 2: Correct. Yeah, but yeah, right down for the logo. I
- 29:54Speaker 2: mean it probably is still a thing, but yeah, it
- 29:57Speaker 2: was very much at time. I was like, oh wait
- 29:58Speaker 2: a minute, no capital it is here. That's interesting. That's
- 30:01Speaker 2: called my eye.
- 30:02Speaker 3: Yes, I've never been a fan of flavored water. To me,
- 30:05Speaker 3: just tastes like weak cordial.
- 30:08Speaker 2: I don't mind it on occasion. I mean, if I'm
- 30:11Speaker 2: stopping off the supermarket too, on my way to the
- 30:13Speaker 2: lob of Louizes and like, can you stop off at
- 30:14Speaker 2: the we're getting some takeaway out of a gritty grab
- 30:17Speaker 2: some mirral water. I'll invariably grab like a plain one,
- 30:20Speaker 2: but also you know, like maybe a lemona lime one,
- 30:23Speaker 2: just a just a spice things up, just to that feeling.
- 30:28Speaker 2: Keep it hanging.
- 30:29Speaker 3: I've got on the wiki page for vitamin water. In
- 30:32Speaker 3: two thousand and eight, the Australian consumer organization Choice gave
- 30:35Speaker 3: one of its annual Shonky Awards to Vitamin Water, saying
- 30:39Speaker 3: that despite the claim that the drinks were healthy, one
- 30:41Speaker 3: bottle contains about a third of the recommended daily sugar
- 30:44Speaker 3: intake for an average adult woman, and none contains more
- 30:47Speaker 3: than one percent.
- 30:48Speaker 2: Actual fruit juice.
- 30:49Speaker 3: Choice also noted that the label on one flavor blatantly
- 30:52Speaker 3: mocked food regulations designed to protect consumers by stating, we
- 30:55Speaker 3: are prohibited from making exaggerated claims about the potency of
- 30:58Speaker 3: the nutrients in this bottle, before making exaggerated claims about
- 31:01Speaker 3: the pertinents in the battle.
- 31:05Speaker 2: Yeah, I never really liked the look or sound of it.
- 31:08Speaker 3: Yeah, vitamin water, as Nichola would say, vitamin war. There's
- 31:13Speaker 3: one tea in there, lady.
- 31:17Speaker 2: You pausing by the way you pronounce a vitamin water.
- 31:20Speaker 2: I see that a after that, one single tea.
- 31:22Speaker 3: Yeah, but we still I say Peter bread, though it
- 31:27Speaker 3: does make sense English ridiculous. Well, what should we say
- 31:30Speaker 3: piper bread? By that theory, it's vitamin A. Good point
- 31:35Speaker 3: should be piper bread Shannon to anyone who learns English.
- 31:38Speaker 3: Oh my god, so I actually got this. We're writing
- 31:41Speaker 3: Elliot's birthday presents out right, and my mum and dad
- 31:43Speaker 3: said he can you buy something for him? And say
- 31:46Speaker 3: it's from us, right, And I'm writing from grandma and
- 31:48Speaker 3: granddad right, Grandma g r A N D M A Grandma, Yes,
- 31:54Speaker 3: Granddad g R A N D A D. Why is
- 31:57Speaker 3: there only one D?
- 31:58Speaker 2: I never thought there was?
- 32:00Speaker 3: It is It's granddad. It's not granddad, it's granddad. One
- 32:04Speaker 3: day I would have gone with grandpa. Yeah, but think
- 32:08Speaker 3: of granddad though, grand granddad. Yeah, it's grandma and I
- 32:11Speaker 3: guess that's what it's Grandpa and grandma, isn't it?
- 32:13Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 32:14Speaker 3: But why is it granddad again? Because we don't say grandmum,
- 32:19Speaker 3: do we? It's so weird? Why do we say granddad?
- 32:23Speaker 3: English is weird?
- 32:23Speaker 2: Man?
- 32:24Speaker 3: But it's just yeah, bizarre.
- 32:26Speaker 2: I wanted to bring up something because you said you
- 32:28Speaker 2: wanted to talk about this in a sort of pregaming
- 32:31Speaker 2: and this might be a good time because you mentioned
- 32:32Speaker 2: Eliott and you also mentioned water. Do you want to
- 32:35Speaker 2: talk about something that happened to your house just recently
- 32:37Speaker 2: or we don't have to because it's a little traumatic question.
- 32:40Speaker 2: I'm feel like over.
- 32:41Speaker 3: Here I probable should have started with this maybe.
- 32:45Speaker 2: But you've been the magic of editing. You could maybe
- 32:47Speaker 2: slice it in.
- 32:48Speaker 3: It's been a stressful week here at four finger Discount.
- 32:50Speaker 3: So starting last thursday, I'm here school holidays, so it's busy.
- 32:54Speaker 3: Kids are both home single dad, wife's at to work.
- 32:58Speaker 3: I'll look at after the kids in their home and
- 33:00Speaker 3: they said, Daddy wanna have a shower. Holy, he's gonna
- 33:02Speaker 3: have a bath. Allie's gonna have a shower in the
- 33:03Speaker 3: same bathroom. But Allie's gonna be a big boy shower.
- 33:05Speaker 3: Holly's in the bath now. Recently, Elliot about a week
- 33:08Speaker 3: is about a week and a half ago. Elliott was
- 33:10Speaker 3: in the shower and he was putting his foot on
- 33:11Speaker 3: the on the the plug hold that gets the drain rain,
- 33:15Speaker 3: just to see the water fill up. And I said,
- 33:16Speaker 3: don't do that because you'll flood the room. He's like, okay,
- 33:19Speaker 3: won't do it again. So I put Holy in the bath,
- 33:21Speaker 3: put Ali in the shower, and Alliott is in the shower.
- 33:24Speaker 3: I said, now what do we do. We don't stand
- 33:26Speaker 3: in the drain your dad, Holly, you do not get
- 33:28Speaker 3: out of the bath because she's a toryist. We're getting
- 33:29Speaker 3: out of the bath and getting things out of the
- 33:31Speaker 3: cupboard water everywhere. You stay in the bath, you're just diad.
- 33:33Speaker 3: I said, I'm just gonna go have my lunch out
- 33:35Speaker 3: in the land room. The door was open. I said,
- 33:37Speaker 3: I can hear you, oh boy, yelling if you need
- 33:39Speaker 3: me right, and I can hear him laughing, playing, carrying
- 33:41Speaker 3: on in every couple of minutes, I'm yelling at you guys,
- 33:43Speaker 3: all right, yep, we're okay, We're okay. I'm not fine,
- 33:45Speaker 3: So I'm just trying to eat my lunch, power my
- 33:47Speaker 3: lunch down whilst I've got a.
- 33:48Speaker 2: Bit of a break. Sure.
- 33:49Speaker 3: And then after it was fifteen minutes, I hear Dad go,
- 33:54Speaker 3: I hear Ali go, Dad, come with it.
- 33:56Speaker 2: We've done.
- 33:56Speaker 3: And I was like, I will in a minute, and
- 33:58Speaker 3: he goes, you're gonna want to see this may have
- 34:00Speaker 3: a problem here. Oh, And immediately I go, oh god,
- 34:04Speaker 3: what have they done? So I put my lunch down,
- 34:07Speaker 3: walk out to the hallway and I'll down the hallway
- 34:11Speaker 3: and our entire house is about two inches.
- 34:12Speaker 2: Deep in water. Oh no, you've seen the videos I have. Indeed,
- 34:17Speaker 2: you send them to me pretty much immediately.
- 34:19Speaker 3: So the thing is right next to our bathroom is
- 34:22Speaker 3: our podcast studio. And the water went into each room,
- 34:26Speaker 3: so their bedroom, the toy room, my studio, and my bedroom.
- 34:31Speaker 3: About three to five feet into the room was just
- 34:33Speaker 3: completely submerged in water to the point where you stand
- 34:36Speaker 3: on the carpet and it was like you're squeezing a sponge.
- 34:39Speaker 2: It was just full of water.
- 34:41Speaker 3: So safe to say, I lost the plot because, as
- 34:44Speaker 3: I said to Aliott, it's not so much that you've
- 34:46Speaker 3: done this right, that you've done it after I told
- 34:48Speaker 3: you specifically not to do it. Yes, if you had
- 34:50Speaker 3: have listened. The kids have only having a problem listening lately, right,
- 34:53Speaker 3: So had they listened, this wouldn't have happened.
- 34:55Speaker 2: So I then.
- 34:56Speaker 3: Realized that I had Granted, I should have had them
- 34:59Speaker 3: in a different spot, but you know, about four feet
- 35:02Speaker 3: from the door in the corner there I had posters,
- 35:04Speaker 3: expensive art prints rolled up in tubes and whatnot against
- 35:07Speaker 3: resting against the wall there. Well, they all got ruined
- 35:09Speaker 3: because the water touched the bottom of it, and the
- 35:10Speaker 3: water just one holds in one whole side of the
- 35:14Speaker 3: of the princes are now all just ruined. So there's
- 35:16Speaker 3: like I probably spent four hundred and fifty dollars on
- 35:19Speaker 3: those prints, probably worth about three to four grand. Now
- 35:22Speaker 3: they've got way up and value. Especially a couple of
- 35:24Speaker 3: them ruined. Oh man, yeah, ruined. And I was just
- 35:30Speaker 3: I didn't know whether to cry yell, and so I
- 35:32Speaker 3: sat into their room, mad him stay there off the room.
- 35:34Speaker 2: Why I got all this shiit sorted out?
- 35:35Speaker 3: So I had towers everywhere I was mopping, and my
- 35:38Speaker 3: parents brought over this high power vacuum to suck the
- 35:41Speaker 3: water out of the carpet. How much water you're gonna
- 35:43Speaker 3: go out of this studio floor by itself.
- 35:46Speaker 2: I don't even want to speculate.
- 35:48Speaker 3: Three buckets of water out of just the carpet in
- 35:51Speaker 3: this room.
- 35:51Speaker 2: Oh my goodness. And it was all over the house.
- 35:53Speaker 3: All over the house. Seven buckets of water in the carpet.
- 35:56Speaker 3: Seven buckets. And despite all that, we're back and we
- 36:02Speaker 3: managed to look it could have been worse. No one
- 36:03Speaker 3: got hurt.
- 36:04Speaker 2: I've learnt.
- 36:04Speaker 3: Don't leave the kids alone, even though the doors open,
- 36:07Speaker 3: your only bloody ten feet from the door. Don't do
- 36:09Speaker 3: it right. It's just not worth it, okay to.
- 36:11Speaker 2: Quite an old scary movie from my childhood. Have you
- 36:13Speaker 2: checked the children? Ye not?
- 36:16Speaker 3: Keep checking the child, Keep checking the children, and then
- 36:18Speaker 3: I'll wake up on Saturday morning. A couple of days later,
- 36:23Speaker 3: our pals that meta Facebook, They go, guess what, guys,
- 36:27Speaker 3: we know we screwed your page over a little while ago,
- 36:29Speaker 3: and look how bad we made a mistake. We shouldn't
- 36:31Speaker 3: have done it. We fixed your page for you, you know,
- 36:33Speaker 3: all monetized and all this whatnot you reach was there? Hey,
- 36:37Speaker 3: we found another picture. You're back to where you were
- 36:39Speaker 3: square one. So your page is screwed again, and I
- 36:41Speaker 3: went how, how why? And it's the system had done
- 36:49Speaker 3: the exact same thing. So I thought, well, this is
- 36:52Speaker 3: just great, right anyway, so I thought, just cop it
- 36:54Speaker 3: on the chin, do the same process, contact Facebook, try
- 36:57Speaker 3: and get it fixed.
- 36:58Speaker 2: So that was in the process. Monday morning.
- 37:00Speaker 3: I thought, I'm gonna have a whole day here smashing
- 37:02Speaker 3: this out, getting a lot of work done. We're gonna
- 37:04Speaker 3: get things back on track a lot some time, because
- 37:05Speaker 3: Thursday I was cleaning up the floor and whatnot. I
- 37:08Speaker 3: was still fixing the floor, vacuuming it and all that
- 37:09Speaker 3: kind of stuff. Get a phone called eleven am from
- 37:12Speaker 3: Holly's daycare. Holly's got a temperature, going to go and
- 37:14Speaker 3: pick her up. Awesome, It's now I'm gonna lose another
- 37:17Speaker 3: day of work. Nicola then takes the Tuesday off yesterday
- 37:21Speaker 3: to allow me to catch up so I don't have
- 37:23Speaker 3: to watch Holly. Right, so Nickola takes a SICKI I
- 37:26Speaker 3: then have to then spend all day editing last week's
- 37:29Speaker 3: video of the Boy who Knew Too Much the video
- 37:31Speaker 3: for it. An hour and forty five minutes the video,
- 37:33Speaker 3: I went to export realized that Premiere Pro had tried
- 37:37Speaker 3: to name the export file as the same name as
- 37:38Speaker 3: one of the file names that were in part of
- 37:40Speaker 3: the project, and I lost the video there as well.
- 37:43Speaker 3: So all my work for Tuesday down the goga with
- 37:46Speaker 3: one click of a button. I was I had a
- 37:50Speaker 3: mental breakdown last night. I literally I was like, do
- 37:53Speaker 3: just quit stop? What what hours could possibly go wrong?
- 37:57Speaker 2: You got the human fact that's messing up on you,
- 37:59Speaker 2: got the technological effect there's messing up on you. Oh man.
- 38:03Speaker 3: And then I wake up this morning and Facebook said, hey, mate,
- 38:06Speaker 3: how bad? We fixed your page again. I was like,
- 38:08Speaker 3: hopefully this is a sign of things to come, and
- 38:10Speaker 3: hopefully we're back on track.
- 38:12Speaker 2: First step in a positive direction.
- 38:13Speaker 3: So the Facebook page is back. Thank you Meta for
- 38:15Speaker 3: fixing that issue again. Try and sort your AI shit
- 38:18Speaker 3: out because apparently it doesn't know what it's doing.
- 38:20Speaker 2: Come on, suck. Yeah, exactly right.
- 38:22Speaker 3: So house got flooded, daughters sick, had to watch her
- 38:25Speaker 3: all day lost in the entire last week's video. I'm
- 38:28Speaker 3: doing my best, so I've still got the last forty
- 38:30Speaker 3: minutes of last week's episode video form, but the goal
- 38:32Speaker 3: was this week to kick off saying going forward, every
- 38:35Speaker 3: episode of Going Down to South Park and four figure discount.
- 38:38Speaker 3: You can watch full length in video form on our
- 38:40Speaker 3: YouTube channel. So follow the YouTube link in the description
- 38:42Speaker 3: of this podcast and hit that subscribe. But if you're
- 38:44Speaker 3: watching on YouTube now hit subscribe. But yeah, it's been
- 38:47Speaker 3: somewhat of the last seven days. It's been a stressful
- 38:49Speaker 3: seven days. As I said, can't change anything, can't get
- 38:53Speaker 3: that file back. I try to contact the data recovery guy,
- 38:55Speaker 3: He's like, no day, So just move on. So this
- 38:59Speaker 3: one here, the first full leaf one and a long
- 39:01Speaker 3: time and every week going forward now are going to
- 39:02Speaker 3: get these episodes on YouTube, so watch them.
- 39:05Speaker 2: Dann it. This might be a good time to point
- 39:06Speaker 2: out that you actually haven't pressed record, have I seriously,
- 39:10Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure. Yeah.
- 39:12Speaker 3: Look, it's like I checked three times. I knew I had,
- 39:16Speaker 3: but a part of me, how did I knock it
- 39:17Speaker 3: with my foot?
- 39:18Speaker 2: I that was cruel. I shouldn't have done it.
- 39:20Speaker 3: Honestly, my heart skipped the beat a second.
- 39:23Speaker 2: Man.
- 39:23Speaker 3: Oh no, it's just one of those weeks where I
- 39:26Speaker 3: feel like I'm living with the ptas. This is the
- 39:29Speaker 3: thing because the Facebook page has been screwed over three times.
- 39:31Speaker 2: Now.
- 39:32Speaker 3: Yeah, I am constantly just living in the fear of
- 39:34Speaker 3: my livelihood just being taken away from nothing. Just it sucks. Man.
- 39:40Speaker 2: It's a weird and strange time we're living in where, yeah,
- 39:43Speaker 2: your life can basically be just taken away by the
- 39:45Speaker 2: algorithm more the artificial intelligence, the flipping and the flopping.
- 39:49Speaker 3: I spent three to four hours editing a video and
- 39:52Speaker 3: with one click of a.
- 39:53Speaker 2: Button it was just gone. I'm like, oh, Manross, okay,
- 40:00Speaker 2: but we're back, We're back in business. We're talking about
- 40:01Speaker 2: Waverly Hills nine o two, and so we're recording it.
- 40:04Speaker 2: We're recording it on video.
- 40:05Speaker 3: So hopefully this clip's going out everywhere. Indeed, we did
- 40:08Speaker 3: have the yamyamio clip on social media.
- 40:10Speaker 2: Probably just racking up gang bust and numbers. That's so.
- 40:14Speaker 3: But Marge likes the science water, doesn't she.
- 40:16Speaker 2: Oh yeah, well, she's taken by the many and varied flavors,
- 40:20Speaker 2: none of which I wrote.
- 40:21Speaker 3: Downish vitality, purple potato, lime like this one. I love
- 40:25Speaker 3: the nineties. I actually felt that that would be the
- 40:27Speaker 3: name of a water of someone I love the nineties.
- 40:28Speaker 3: New car smell was another one. But she says, it's
- 40:31Speaker 3: like drinking EE Cummings. You want to tell everybody who E. E.
- 40:33Speaker 3: Cummings is. E.
- 40:34Speaker 2: Cummings was an American poets run a lot of good stuff.
- 40:37Speaker 2: But primary gimmick was he was sort of pre gen
- 40:42Speaker 2: z in that he didn't he used lower case all
- 40:45Speaker 2: the time. Yeah, anytime you see E. E. Cummings, his
- 40:48Speaker 2: name always lowercase. Really, same with all his poems. Yeah,
- 40:52Speaker 2: well that would be where the joke comes from. Then
- 40:54Speaker 2: that would exactly be the case.
- 40:58Speaker 3: That's a very layered gag. Unless you genuinely knew who
- 41:02Speaker 3: Cummings was, it would make any sense. Yeah, that's the
- 41:04Speaker 3: thing someone said to you. Oh he's a poet, you go,
- 41:07Speaker 3: doesn't make any sense?
- 41:08Speaker 2: Yeh. Luckily you've got a big old nerd here who
- 41:11Speaker 2: knows that. Yeah, the dude eschewed capital letters.
- 41:16Speaker 7: M hm.
- 41:17Speaker 3: Now, since her bladder is full of science, she needs
- 41:19Speaker 3: the toilet. But unfortunately this company is now gone bankrupt,
- 41:21Speaker 3: which I guess that was happening a lot in those times,
- 41:23Speaker 3: a lot of things water companies going bankrupt. So she
- 41:25Speaker 3: goes looking for a toilet. The various businesses won't allow
- 41:28Speaker 3: her to use because she's not a paying customer and whatnot.
- 41:30Speaker 3: So she goes to the school and she says, since
- 41:32Speaker 3: she's a woman, she won't cause her cause a panic
- 41:34Speaker 3: because the mango is looking for the toilet.
- 41:36Speaker 2: It's like, oh, yes, excuse me, but if you've been
- 41:40Speaker 2: keeping abreast of the news here in Australia, oh yes,
- 41:42Speaker 2: men and children. Yeah not a great combat, No, not
- 41:44Speaker 2: at all.
- 41:45Speaker 3: So Janie, she's in the toilet with Marge, she says, high,
- 41:47Speaker 3: and Marge's walking through the school and she sees but
- 41:51Speaker 3: oh that's whor.
- 41:51Speaker 8: It's class lousy teachers, Oh lowsy over. This school has
- 42:01Speaker 8: really gone downhill.
- 42:04Speaker 3: And she says how the class classrooms are very overcrowded.
- 42:07Speaker 3: We've seen missus Hoover. She's now been granted tenure, so
- 42:10Speaker 3: she lets Ralph take over the class and again, what's
- 42:13Speaker 3: the point of this, Yeah, just.
- 42:15Speaker 2: A joke to remind you that Ralph wigm is in
- 42:17Speaker 2: fact dumb. Not only that.
- 42:21Speaker 3: The classrooms flipped because if you're looking at the blackboard, correct,
- 42:25Speaker 3: the door's on the right. So Rough jumps out the
- 42:27Speaker 3: window to the right as that sayings like you may
- 42:30Speaker 3: not notice immediately, but your brain will. It's like, what's
- 42:33Speaker 3: not right here? Yeah, that's what's not right. The entire
- 42:35Speaker 3: design of the classrooms just flipped for this one Ga
- 42:37Speaker 3: hack to.
- 42:38Speaker 2: Quote Millhouse, We're through the looking glass, yes.
- 42:40Speaker 3: Marge then confront Skinner, who just wants to pour her
- 42:43Speaker 3: an alcoholic drink because why not? This is just the
- 42:46Speaker 3: Linel Huts gig again, right?
- 42:48Speaker 2: Pretty much?
- 42:49Speaker 3: Yeah, of a drink in the morning. She says she
- 42:51Speaker 3: just wants her kid to be in a decent school,
- 42:52Speaker 3: and he wants his engine light to go off in
- 42:54Speaker 3: his car. It's not going to happen. So when now
- 42:56Speaker 3: at dinner and she explains that they the school has
- 42:58Speaker 3: just gone down the toilet. They can buy math with
- 43:00Speaker 3: pe for Dodge book and Lisa says that the rating
- 43:03Speaker 3: is so low that there are more than two standard
- 43:05Speaker 3: deviations below the Norman Home. It doesn't understand there because
- 43:07Speaker 3: he went to the Springfield a well like that. Millhouse
- 43:10Speaker 3: then says his cousin goes to a much better school
- 43:12Speaker 3: in Waverley Hills, and Lisa says that's a great school. Now,
- 43:15Speaker 3: their auditorium and gym are two different rooms. They can't
- 43:17Speaker 3: believe that I went to every school I've ever been to,
- 43:20Speaker 3: the auditorium and the gym are the same thing.
- 43:22Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, you went to Grammar, right I did. Yeah,
- 43:25Speaker 2: we had an auditory amount of gym. Your your gym
- 43:28Speaker 2: had an auditorium.
- 43:33Speaker 3: Over then says that they can't afford that. As he said,
- 43:36Speaker 3: their house prices have commons in them, which is a
- 43:37Speaker 3: great line. And their grass, the grass outside of their
- 43:41Speaker 3: house just painted green cement. Santas will Helper tries to
- 43:43Speaker 3: dig a hole for his bone, which is not gonna work.
- 43:46Speaker 3: Then Lisa wishes they could go just for a week,
- 43:47Speaker 3: because you're better better to have learned and lost than
- 43:50Speaker 3: never learned at all, which is a takeoff.
- 43:51Speaker 2: Of better to have loved and lost than never loved
- 43:54Speaker 2: at all? Is that by E. Cummings? I don't believe it.
- 43:58Speaker 2: Margin is it Shakespeare?
- 44:00Speaker 3: Maybe you look that up? While to continue, Okay, Marge.
- 44:03Speaker 3: They suggest that they are rent and get an address
- 44:06Speaker 3: in Waverley Hill so the kids can then go to
- 44:07Speaker 3: that school. And this is very excited for that, you know,
- 44:09Speaker 3: a school where special doesn't always mean bad and teachers
- 44:13Speaker 3: have to don't have the moonlight as telemarketers, and we
- 44:15Speaker 3: cut to missus K and the other teachers trying to
- 44:17Speaker 3: sell CD collections.
- 44:19Speaker 9: As you know, the music of air supply is timeless,
- 44:22Speaker 9: and now their fifty biggest hits are on four CDs.
- 44:25Speaker 3: Remember the days when we spent money on music? It
- 44:28Speaker 3: made me really think about it. I can't recall besides
- 44:31Speaker 3: the occasional vinyl right, the last time I spent money
- 44:35Speaker 3: on music? How do musicians survive now? Unless you are touring?
- 44:38Speaker 3: How do you survive?
- 44:40Speaker 2: It is absolutely beyond me. You don't want to get
- 44:44Speaker 2: me started.
- 44:44Speaker 3: On unless they're getting millions of views on YouTube. You're
- 44:47Speaker 3: not making enough to survive on YouTube.
- 44:48Speaker 2: Oh god no, no, I mean it's going to forgot
- 44:51Speaker 2: how much you make a stream. But it's like under
- 44:53Speaker 2: under a scent.
- 44:53Speaker 3: Yeah, it's just going to be the hustle now, right,
- 44:55Speaker 3: touring and hustling merch.
- 44:56Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 44:57Speaker 3: Because I am a music love right. I love supporting
- 45:02Speaker 3: a lot of vinyl there well a lot of music scores, right,
- 45:04Speaker 3: But when it comes to just buying bands, music of
- 45:06Speaker 3: a band that I like, releasing new song, okay, straight
- 45:08Speaker 3: to Spotify, yeah and listen to it, I don't buy it.
- 45:11Speaker 3: The thing I can't remember the last time I bought
- 45:13Speaker 3: a CD or I mean I still buy movies, yeah, yeah, yeah, absolutely,
- 45:18Speaker 3: But the last time I bought like a box set
- 45:21Speaker 3: of say, you know, early Springsteen or Miles Davis or
- 45:24Speaker 3: something like that, very very long time ago, maybe sometime
- 45:28Speaker 3: in the twenty tens, but there was a time where
- 45:30Speaker 3: you know, you'd buy four city collections off TV. Tune
- 45:34Speaker 3: in now it's calling now to save this and that
- 45:37Speaker 3: kind of thing.
- 45:37Speaker 2: Yeah, no, it is just Look, I'm sorry to bring everybody.
- 45:41Speaker 2: It's a shitty time for art, yeah right now, man,
- 45:45Speaker 2: because you know a lot of people made ut because
- 45:48Speaker 2: you know you could make a living out of it
- 45:49Speaker 2: as well.
- 45:49Speaker 3: I mean, you're it's similar with podcasting as well.
- 45:53Speaker 2: I be a creative.
- 45:54Speaker 3: It's just I saw Nathan Fillion and Alana more celebrities.
- 45:58Speaker 3: That's great, awesome, thanks guys. I really appreciate it.
- 46:00Speaker 2: Fucking ow. I love you guys.
- 46:02Speaker 3: But do you really need to do a podcast?
- 46:04Speaker 2: Come on, do you need to steal more listeners?
- 46:06Speaker 3: I mean, you're not stealing listeners from this, But the
- 46:08Speaker 3: podcast game is so hard to break into now because
- 46:12Speaker 3: there's so many people who already have money and an
- 46:14Speaker 3: audience just going well, we're just gonna keep doing this.
- 46:16Speaker 2: Shit can do it. You're doing, Nathan Alan, you're both
- 46:20Speaker 2: steadily employed actors. Nathan you're in the new Superman movie.
- 46:23Speaker 2: Apparently you're quite good in it. Alan you're on that
- 46:26Speaker 2: show Resident Alien, probably doing a bunch of boys work.
- 46:28Speaker 2: Guess what Dan I mentioned earlier, you'd go to cons
- 46:32Speaker 2: and clean up. You don't need to beat podcastic when
- 46:37Speaker 2: you've got people who want to do.
- 46:40Speaker 3: It's when you see celebrities doing rewatch pod of the
- 46:44Speaker 3: shows that they are in.
- 46:45Speaker 2: Like, you don't need to do this.
- 46:48Speaker 3: Some need to do this, all right, So we're just
- 46:50Speaker 3: gonna have to compete with our Villian. You're narrow enemy.
- 46:55Speaker 3: Nathan Fillian is one of my top five slives I
- 46:57Speaker 3: love to meet. It just seems like an absolute legend.
- 47:00Speaker 2: Is that because you want to go just punch him
- 47:01Speaker 2: in the face. Do you want to give the two
- 47:02Speaker 2: piece feed?
- 47:03Speaker 3: I don't want to give the two pece fee. I'd
- 47:04Speaker 3: love to go to KFC with him and buy him
- 47:06Speaker 3: a two pieces. Indeed, you talk about the rookie, Yeah,
- 47:08Speaker 3: we can. Indeed the six DAWs streaming Disney plas our
- 47:10Speaker 3: friends of the pod.
- 47:13Speaker 2: Yes, but shitty time for art, whether it's you know,
- 47:17Speaker 2: an inability to make a living creating it, or so
- 47:21Speaker 2: many people just making content on YouTube and basically everyone's
- 47:24Speaker 2: just got to go. We recorded a little bit this
- 47:27Speaker 2: morning and then I went home, and it's something that
- 47:28Speaker 2: came up on the algorithm, because we gotta love that algorithm.
- 47:32Speaker 2: Oh yeah, But I was listening to YouTube videos in
- 47:34Speaker 2: the car and when they came up with this woman
- 47:36Speaker 2: saying I used to have a real problem making content,
- 47:39Speaker 2: and then I turned to chat DPT and it gave
- 47:41Speaker 2: me all these ideas and now I make content based
- 47:43Speaker 2: on those ideas. And I was like, wait one, now,
- 47:48Speaker 2: I'll admit it. I have used old panel GBT to
- 47:50Speaker 2: help me out with certain things. GBT, well, yeah, it's
- 47:53Speaker 2: the new model. She goes to another school, you wouldn't
- 47:58Speaker 2: be can't afford GPT. I got the B grade. Yes,
- 48:05Speaker 2: I've used it on occasion, certainly, but yeah, to outsource
- 48:09Speaker 2: your entire creative instinct to it. Take everything from that,
- 48:15Speaker 2: and it's like, and now I'm gonna put it on
- 48:17Speaker 2: you tube. I don't like this or anyway, but they
- 48:21Speaker 2: make money, and when not, we don't know. We can
- 48:26Speaker 2: always use it. One more let's take it back a
- 48:29Speaker 2: little bit too. It's better to have loved and lost
- 48:32Speaker 2: than never to have loved. It was that buy. That
- 48:35Speaker 2: was a famous quote by Alfred Lord Tennyson, poet There
- 48:38Speaker 2: we Go, not Shakespeare, not to Shakespeare, that heck.
- 48:42Speaker 3: But Bart worries that if they moved to Waverley Hills
- 48:44Speaker 3: that all his current friends. What's he supposed to do
- 48:46Speaker 3: with them? And Homer mocks him, saying primary school friends. Yeah,
- 48:49Speaker 3: they're gonna be lifelong friends, aren't they? And they sing
- 48:51Speaker 3: stand by Me with Millhouse. This actually is a really
- 48:53Speaker 3: sad thought. But I genuinely don't think I am friends
- 48:56Speaker 3: with any of my best friends from primary school. I
- 48:58Speaker 3: know there's two of them in particular that I've mentioned
- 49:00Speaker 3: time and time again on this podcast. Media and Jonesy.
- 49:03Speaker 3: That's what's the last names. If I caught up with them,
- 49:05Speaker 3: it'd be like nothing's changed, right, But I don't see
- 49:08Speaker 3: them anymore. It's to friends in high school, the ones
- 49:10Speaker 3: that you are with you when when you're sort of
- 49:13Speaker 3: entering adulthood, you establish those lifelong relationships. I feel like
- 49:16Speaker 3: you're more likely to be friends lifelong with your high
- 49:20Speaker 3: school friends than your primary.
- 49:21Speaker 2: School I get where you're coming from. I was fortunate
- 49:23Speaker 2: enough to the friends that I was that I made
- 49:25Speaker 2: in primary school, and I also friends in high school
- 49:27Speaker 2: and remain friends to this day. Hopefully be catching up
- 49:30Speaker 2: with JP with Browns with Housie. I believe in August
- 49:33Speaker 2: we're getting together for a bit of a lunch, so
- 49:34Speaker 2: that'll be good news.
- 49:35Speaker 3: But I was the only kid from my primary school
- 49:37Speaker 3: that went to the high school I went to. I
- 49:39Speaker 3: just completely it was clean, slate would have been rough.
- 49:42Speaker 2: It fell.
- 49:43Speaker 3: I thought it was going to be rough at the time.
- 49:44Speaker 3: I remember just hating the idea, being so angry, and
- 49:48Speaker 3: then I get there and I was like, no, within
- 49:49Speaker 3: like a week, I've.
- 49:50Speaker 2: Just made friends. Of course, because he missed the popular,
- 49:53Speaker 2: I've not missed the popular. Get I get the meaning
- 49:57Speaker 2: of that gag. I did not like them singing stand
- 50:00Speaker 2: by Me the way they did. It just felt kind
- 50:02Speaker 2: of whack and a little cruel. Yeah, form Mill has
- 50:06Speaker 2: to be the one thing in at either they'll mean spirited,
- 50:09Speaker 2: and you know, I don't really need that from the Simpsons,
- 50:12Speaker 2: and we've been getting a lot of it, though I
- 50:13Speaker 2: feelt the last couple of episodes have sort of not
- 50:15Speaker 2: been as mean spirited, but it's been the tone, the.
- 50:18Speaker 3: Vibe of the of the show in recent times.
- 50:20Speaker 2: Now. There have been certain gags in this where I went, Yay,
- 50:22Speaker 2: liked it. There are in certain gags where I went
- 50:24Speaker 2: didn't like it, And there are certain gags where I went,
- 50:26Speaker 2: what the absolute fuck are you talking about here?
- 50:29Speaker 3: And we're gonna come up to the one in just
- 50:31Speaker 3: same Oh yes, I'm glad you thought the same thing.

- 51:03Speaker 3: the very blaze of real estate and it says for
- 51:05Speaker 3: lease on the real estate business door. But Cookingkwe is
- 51:08Speaker 3: there and Homah wants to rent in the worst part
- 51:10Speaker 3: of Waverley Hills, and she said. He says, there, crappy
- 51:13Speaker 3: the better. So she says, so cheap a and then
- 51:15Speaker 3: he proceeeds ago ussle sheep here to you in that tone.
- 51:19Speaker 2: I'm like, what just happened? What just happened? I nearly
- 51:24Speaker 2: dislocated my neck going what I mean? Not because I'm
- 51:28Speaker 2: a snowflake and not because I'm overly sensitive. I just like,
- 51:31Speaker 2: sort of it funny.
- 51:32Speaker 3: I don't get the gag there.
- 51:33Speaker 2: The gag has no context. It's just cheap. It's dumb,
- 51:37Speaker 2: even my Homer standards. You could strike this from the
- 51:40Speaker 2: record and I would be perfectly happy.
- 51:42Speaker 3: Welcome to Simpsons season twenty oh so, yeah, get used
- 51:46Speaker 3: to that.
- 51:47Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 51:47Speaker 3: But then we get a montage of them going to
- 51:49Speaker 3: various places. One near the train sometimes there's not a
- 51:52Speaker 3: train going by, and four walls. I'm thinking more of
- 51:54Speaker 3: a two. Then he arrives at Royal Waverley. There's no windows,
- 51:59Speaker 3: no parking, and a man once died here, and he
- 52:01Speaker 3: eventually accepts it.
- 52:03Speaker 2: I don't. I'm looking at a few murder sides right now. Yeah.
- 52:06Speaker 3: So now the Waverly Hills song plays Waverly which is
- 52:10Speaker 3: it sounds like Weezer but it's not.
- 52:12Speaker 2: It really does. Yeah, yeah, we did.
- 52:14Speaker 3: Actually the credits as well, no mention of the credits.
- 52:17Speaker 2: Weirs were not in there there. We looked all over
- 52:19Speaker 2: the internet. I wonder, let's google it. Why did they?
- 52:22Speaker 3: It feels like the kind of thing Weezer would do.
- 52:24Speaker 3: They seem like cool dudes. So they appeared on an
- 52:27Speaker 3: episode called The Hateful Eight year Olds, where they portrayed
- 52:29Speaker 3: a cover band called Sailor's Delight, who were the house
- 52:32Speaker 3: band on a romantic cruise taken by Homer in March.
- 52:34Speaker 2: Okay.
- 52:35Speaker 3: The episode featured them playing songs from Weezes, The Black
- 52:38Speaker 3: Album and Pacific day Dream, as well as debuting a
- 52:40Speaker 3: new song called Blue Dream. They also perform the Simpsons
- 52:42Speaker 3: theme song during the end credits. But why didn't they
- 52:45Speaker 3: appear in this one? I have no idea and we
- 52:48Speaker 3: shall never know.
- 52:48Speaker 2: We shall never.
- 52:49Speaker 3: If someone does know, let us know, as mailbag at
- 52:52Speaker 3: four figure discount dot com dot au, we'd love to
- 52:54Speaker 3: find out.
- 52:55Speaker 2: Indeed, Rivers como if you're listening. First of all, did
- 52:58Speaker 2: I mispronounce your sir? And I know it's got you
- 52:59Speaker 2: in there, but I'm just gonna say como. Also, any
- 53:03Speaker 2: other members of weez if you're listening, apologies but not
- 53:06Speaker 2: knowing your name, but yeah, let us know why you would.
- 53:08Speaker 2: On the on the you Know episode nineteen, season twenty
- 53:11Speaker 2: of The Simpsons, waver Hills nine two one do.
- 53:14Speaker 3: But in Waverley Hills we have Spiffany's We've got Paris
- 53:16Speaker 3: Hilton or look alike with her dog in a bag,
- 53:18Speaker 3: and then that dog has a dog in its own bag,
- 53:20Speaker 3: and then the homeless guy getting paid lots of cash
- 53:22Speaker 3: and jewels and whatnot, various mansions, but the tweak the
- 53:25Speaker 3: words here for Beverly Hills were I think it's like
- 53:28Speaker 3: get education fraudule and Krusty runs over some photographers just
- 53:32Speaker 3: throws money at them. Homer and Marge get welcomed down
- 53:35Speaker 3: city Hall by a wise guy. The kids then attend school,
- 53:38Speaker 3: and they can attend school immediately, but he says the
- 53:40Speaker 3: inspector will be checking sometime this month to make sure
- 53:43Speaker 3: that the kids are actually living in Waverley Hills, because
- 53:45Speaker 3: a lot of people try to mooch off the system
- 53:47Speaker 3: and get the kids to go to a school where
- 53:49Speaker 3: they're actually living there, of course, and homes says, yeah,
- 53:51Speaker 3: I can see them now with their bald heads and
- 53:52Speaker 3: their blue head wives discussed. Then the inspector arrives.
- 53:57Speaker 6: Hi Knewbee, I'm Keaitland as the Sea, this is Keaitland
- 54:00Speaker 6: the k and this is Caitlynn. Two words, I'm Lisa.
- 54:04Speaker 9: One word.
- 54:04Speaker 5: So Lisa, what's your favorite Alaska Nebraska song? Mine's touch
- 54:08Speaker 5: a Star? Minds make it yours the star song?
- 54:12Speaker 9: Who's Alaska Nebraska?
- 54:14Speaker 8: Who's Alaska Nebraska?
- 54:16Speaker 5: Oh? The greatest sixteen year old singer slash actress in
- 54:19Speaker 5: the world.
- 54:20Speaker 8: Do you even know how lame you are?
- 54:22Speaker 9: I should warn you by using the term lame, you're
- 54:25Speaker 9: violating the Americans with Disabilities Act too.
- 54:28Speaker 8: That makes you even lamer.
- 54:32Speaker 3: So the film No Country for All Men? Does the
- 54:34Speaker 3: flip a coin?
- 54:35Speaker 2: This character he does? Yeah, it's the opening scene. Really okay.
- 54:39Speaker 2: He shows up at this petrol station by on the
- 54:42Speaker 2: side of a lonely road. Yeah, and basically just psychologically
- 54:46Speaker 2: torments the guy behind the counter and yeah, telling him
- 54:49Speaker 2: to flip a coin. And the god says, well, I
- 54:51Speaker 2: need to know what we're what we're playing for here?
- 54:53Speaker 2: What am I flipping for? Everything? Everything?
- 54:56Speaker 4: You know?
- 54:57Speaker 2: I wouldn't do that, you'd be like, oh shit, he's
- 55:00Speaker 2: not threatening him, but he's just being extremely threatening, making
- 55:03Speaker 2: you uncomfortable, making you very uncomfortable. Yeah, it's an it's
- 55:07Speaker 2: such a fantastic performance on it side. On the side,
- 55:14Speaker 2: good for your friend.
- 55:15Speaker 3: And then he validates his parking, but it's not enough
- 55:17Speaker 3: to validate it again.
- 55:19Speaker 2: This thing. I mean, if you hadn't seen No Country
- 55:21Speaker 2: for Old Men, which I haven't, you'd be at a disadvantage.
- 55:23Speaker 2: But at the same time, the character was sort of
- 55:25Speaker 2: in the collective consciousness so much that you're sort of
- 55:28Speaker 2: knew right, Yeah, just visually I know him. Yeah, it's
- 55:31Speaker 2: got a very distinct look over.
- 55:33Speaker 3: Then calls from bed and marches you you have to
- 55:35Speaker 3: stay there until the heat is off. He is off
- 55:37Speaker 3: that hissings coming from the Saints and the radiator. And
- 55:40Speaker 3: then and then she falls it up by saying we
- 55:41Speaker 3: just need to stay there until Bark graduates high school.
- 55:44Speaker 3: And so that's another twenty or thirty years. When I
- 55:45Speaker 3: just went, did you just say you need to stay
- 55:48Speaker 3: till the heat is off? Now it says to stay
- 55:50Speaker 3: till Bark graduates high school.
- 55:52Speaker 2: It's kind of a land speed record for a show.
- 55:55Speaker 2: To contradict itself in the space of maybe three seconds,
- 55:58Speaker 2: one sentence to the next.
- 56:01Speaker 3: Here's a jag, here's a gag, and now this one
- 56:03Speaker 3: is going to contradict said gag.
- 56:05Speaker 2: And even though neither are really gags, is that the
- 56:09Speaker 2: joke was that the joke?
- 56:11Speaker 3: I don't know that Homer is living in one of
- 56:12Speaker 3: those beds where it I think it's called a Murphy bed, Yeah,
- 56:16Speaker 3: one that comes out of the wall.
- 56:17Speaker 2: Yeah. And then I always liked the idea of it.
- 56:19Speaker 2: I mean, but I'm someone who has always liked the
- 56:22Speaker 2: idea of little spaces like that. Oh, I mean, I
- 56:25Speaker 2: think I would have been perfectly happy in a little apartment,
- 56:27Speaker 2: tiny house than life not too late, cardboard box by
- 56:32Speaker 2: the side of the road. Be careful what you wish
- 56:36Speaker 2: for kids. But I always liked the idea of a
- 56:39Speaker 2: Murphy bed that, I mean, seeing those in movies when
- 56:41Speaker 2: I was growing up, and you know, like some dodgy
- 56:43Speaker 2: apartment in New York City's like that seems very efficient.
- 56:46Speaker 3: Utilizing the space, utilize the space. But the bed comes
- 56:48Speaker 3: back at home?
- 56:49Speaker 2: Is not there? Where am I?
- 56:51Speaker 4: Now?
- 56:51Speaker 3: Margin drops the kids off at school, Lisa have fun, Bart,
- 56:54Speaker 3: don't we're on that she's impressed by the campus stables.
- 56:59Speaker 3: They go fu field trips to Europe, and their cafeteria
- 57:02Speaker 3: serves real, real meat. Real principal Doctor Bettelheim introduces himself.
- 57:08Speaker 2: Quick note, if I may, I'm not sure if doctor
- 57:11Speaker 2: Bettelheim is named after a gentleman named Bruno. Bruno Bettelheim.
- 57:15Speaker 2: He was the author of a book called The Uses
- 57:17Speaker 2: of Enchantment. It's sort of like, it's a nice counterpart
- 57:19Speaker 2: to the Hero with a Thousand Faces for creative types
- 57:22Speaker 2: who want to get a little deep with their archetypes
- 57:25Speaker 2: and things like that. Was talking about psychology and fairy tales.
- 57:28Speaker 2: Bruno turned out to be a big old fraud. I
- 57:31Speaker 2: think he was. There are articles saying he was a
- 57:33Speaker 2: bit of a plagiarist, and he also, you know, sort
- 57:36Speaker 2: of falsified some of the degrees that he had. He
- 57:37Speaker 2: was talking about, Oh yeah, psychiatrist and psychologist or things
- 57:41Speaker 2: along those lines, Like you're not actually qualified in those things, buddy,
- 57:45Speaker 2: So liar shout out to Bruno, b what a hustler.
- 57:49Speaker 3: I do appreciate a good hassle. Oh yeah, got to
- 57:52Speaker 3: admire the hussle. But then Skinner arrives and basically he's saying, no,
- 57:56Speaker 3: you can't have Lisa. We need her because she makes
- 57:58Speaker 3: all these scores go up and she writes the jokes
- 58:02Speaker 3: the the Morning bullet bulletin and stuff like that. And
- 58:05Speaker 3: then Charmers is there as well, and Skin is basically
- 58:07Speaker 3: just jealous.
- 58:08Speaker 2: What is it evaluating other people?
- 58:10Speaker 3: I think it's you're overseeing other people, overseeing people. What
- 58:15Speaker 3: our kids think, Well, the kids know, and then they're
- 58:17Speaker 3: happy for me. And the fellow housemates welcome Homer by
- 58:21Speaker 3: farting on him and Hope he goes that's great.
- 58:24Speaker 2: I was like, what's going on here? That was such
- 58:28Speaker 2: a weird comeback to that. That's great. But also those
- 58:32Speaker 2: guys in that apartment, I mean, they haven't really indicated
- 58:35Speaker 2: or what sort of place. What's the place called? Is
- 58:38Speaker 2: the Hotel Waverley of the Waverley Arms or something. Is
- 58:40Speaker 2: it a frat house? It seems very frat house or
- 58:44Speaker 2: just cheap apartments. But yeah, this is the first indication
- 58:47Speaker 2: of the people we who are also living there. It's like,
- 58:50Speaker 2: why is it like a college dorm? Yeah? So weird.
- 58:52Speaker 3: But they're excited to play poker with Homer because he's
- 58:55Speaker 3: not very good and he always forgets the cash in
- 58:56Speaker 3: his chips for money. At the end, the bromance has
- 58:59Speaker 3: just become romance. Then Lisa meets the Caitlin's Caitlin with
- 59:02Speaker 3: the kkitlyin with the c and Kate living.
- 59:04Speaker 2: Yeah. Yep. By the way, one of my trivia questions
- 59:06Speaker 2: that I didn't you Yeah, okay, And but you may
- 59:08Speaker 2: well know what was written on one of the dude's
- 59:10Speaker 2: T shirts. Do you recall? No, it said what would
- 59:14Speaker 2: Itchy Do?
- 59:14Speaker 3: I did say that a picture of Itchy's face?
- 59:16Speaker 2: That's right. Yeah.
- 59:17Speaker 3: Then was that a reference to what Tyler Durton Do?
- 59:21Speaker 3: That was a big website at the time, wasn't it?
- 59:22Speaker 2: Or what would Jesus Do?
- 59:23Speaker 3: What would Jesus Do? That's yeah, every kid, every kid
- 59:26Speaker 3: in high school. This now there's two thou three years
- 59:30Speaker 3: after I finished high school.
- 59:32Speaker 2: And two thousand and eight is almost ten years after
- 59:35Speaker 2: the release of Fight Club. Yeah, oh my god. Yeah,
- 59:39Speaker 2: the website what would Tyler Durton Do? I'm aware of
- 59:41Speaker 2: it absolutely.
- 59:42Speaker 3: When I when I was in high school, several years
- 59:44Speaker 3: before this episode came out, everyone was on that website
- 59:47Speaker 3: just sing a little song for you to keep something
- 59:50Speaker 3: slippy that was just one of those moments where like
- 59:52Speaker 3: literally timed it hits you into the future.
- 59:57Speaker 2: Get nobody.
- 1:00:00Speaker 8: I knew me.
- 1:00:00Speaker 6: I'm Caitlin with the C. This is Caitlin with a K,
- 1:00:03Speaker 6: and this is Caitlyn two words, I'm Lisa.
- 1:00:06Speaker 9: One word.
- 1:00:07Speaker 5: So, Lisa, what's your favorite Alaska Nebraska song? Mine's touch
- 1:00:11Speaker 5: a Star?
- 1:00:12Speaker 8: Minds?
- 1:00:12Speaker 9: Make it yours the star song?
- 1:00:15Speaker 8: Who's Alaska Nebraska? Who's Alaska Nebraska?
- 1:00:18Speaker 5: Only the greatest sixteen year old singer slash actress in
- 1:00:22Speaker 5: the world.
- 1:00:22Speaker 8: Do you even know how lame you are?
- 1:00:25Speaker 9: I should warn you by using the term lame, you're
- 1:00:27Speaker 9: violating the Americans with Disabilities Act too.
- 1:00:31Speaker 8: That makes you even lamer.
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: Yes, Lisa, that was not the comeback. No, you didn't.
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: That moment.
- 1:00:38Speaker 3: She gets a B plus in class, but she always
- 1:00:40Speaker 3: gets a's and the teacher says, well, maybe that's why
- 1:00:42Speaker 3: you never got That's maybe why you always got a's
- 1:00:44Speaker 3: because the teachers never checked. And Lia' is like, oh,
- 1:00:46Speaker 3: I've been challenged. How am I going to respond to this?
- 1:00:47Speaker 3: And she just cries and breaks down, runs off, complaining
- 1:00:50Speaker 3: to Bot and he says not to worry though, because
- 1:00:51Speaker 3: they have got a clean slight here they can establish
- 1:00:54Speaker 3: new credit. That's what he's about to do right now.
- 1:00:56Speaker 3: Where Wigham arrives and arrests him. And as you're saying,
- 1:00:58Speaker 3: he's yels, I'm a bad boy, befriend him and end
- 1:01:00Speaker 3: up just like him or.
- 1:01:02Speaker 2: The girls swoon. I can't believe it.
- 1:01:03Speaker 3: Yes, oh yeah, he gets dropped off at the beach
- 1:01:05Speaker 3: and now he has to go to Ralf's birthday party.
- 1:01:07Speaker 3: Where was the birthday party? I don't know, the bowling alley? Okay,
- 1:01:11Speaker 3: the right to remain.
- 1:01:13Speaker 2: He says something about the remains striggers something, and.
- 1:01:15Speaker 3: I know when he's reading his I actually know it's
- 1:01:16Speaker 3: twenty You're supposed to be somewhere between two thirty or
- 1:01:20Speaker 3: something at a bowling alley. But yeah, so' is that
- 1:01:22Speaker 3: the bowling all these birthday party? Who's going to turn
- 1:01:23Speaker 3: out a birthday party to bowling alley? I know he's
- 1:01:26Speaker 3: going to turn out a birthday party when you're a kid, No,
- 1:01:29Speaker 3: it's the.
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: Social event of the season. It is, yeah, all weekend
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: at the very least. But I did like that, but
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: drove a hard bargain, is like I need one good
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: bag now, party bag.
- 1:01:39Speaker 3: Yeah one later, Yeah, now I've learnt this right as
- 1:01:42Speaker 3: a parent of a child, I can't recall going to
- 1:01:45Speaker 3: birthday parties and getting party bags right. But it turns
- 1:01:47Speaker 3: out I may have mentioned the podcast party Bags. A
- 1:01:49Speaker 3: party is defined by the party bag, right, because it's
- 1:01:52Speaker 3: all about you've got to send your audience home happy, right.
- 1:01:54Speaker 3: You gotta end, you have to stick the landing. So
- 1:01:57Speaker 3: the party bag is pivotal to kids remembering your He
- 1:02:00Speaker 3: has a fun experience. So I made sure that Alliot's
- 1:02:02Speaker 3: party bags were loaded with shit.
- 1:02:04Speaker 4: Right.
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: So what was in them? So Alliot he had like
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: a couple of chocolates. He had some lollies.
- 1:02:08Speaker 3: You had a glow stick, you had Elliott put a
- 1:02:11Speaker 3: pack of footy cards in each of them. There was
- 1:02:14Speaker 3: just a bunch of just little toys, lollipops.
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: Wow. Yeah, went the whole nine yards. So the party
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: don't start until the people get home. Yeah yeah, But
- 1:02:25Speaker 2: actually it wasn't a pack of footy cards. It was
- 1:02:27Speaker 2: essentially a pack of footy cards.
- 1:02:28Speaker 3: But he'd opened them because he wanted to make sure
- 1:02:30Speaker 3: that a gum well he knows who all of his
- 1:02:32Speaker 3: friends Barrack Force. He made sure they got players from
- 1:02:34Speaker 3: their teams thoughtful kid.
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: Yeah, clever boy, clever boy. Hey, we just reviewed Jurassic
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: Park for the movie guy with Moultin Davis. Might want
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: to check it out, might want to check it out.
- 1:02:45Speaker 3: And we just recorded today but it was out yet
- 1:02:47Speaker 3: when this gets released, but our review of Superman as
- 1:02:51Speaker 3: well as Leonard's back, he's healthy, he's well healthier, Yes, indeed, yeah,
- 1:02:55Speaker 3: Man of Steel Man, I'll steal Indeed, by the way,
- 1:02:57Speaker 3: we're talking about.
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: The nineteen seventy eight Superman, not the super Man that's
- 1:03:00Speaker 2: currently in cinemas. Yes, the real Superman.
- 1:03:02Speaker 3: Correct, Yes, so the one that started at all hashtag
- 1:03:06Speaker 3: not my Superman. So then the Mafia arrive and yeah,
- 1:03:10Speaker 3: they're playing the Sopranos song on the minivan.
- 1:03:11Speaker 2: Yes, is that what it was?
- 1:03:13Speaker 3: I thought it was just the show was playing it,
- 1:03:14Speaker 3: but it' stop as soon as they arrived, if that
- 1:03:16Speaker 3: makes sense. Yeah, Soprano's music is freaking amazing though.
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: Yeah, like so good.
- 1:03:21Speaker 3: But this morning, Wigham knows that they're dealing drugs at
- 1:03:24Speaker 3: the school, so he wants them to attend the party.
- 1:03:26Speaker 3: He's going to let them off, and they say he's
- 1:03:27Speaker 3: not going to be there. Even Batman's going to be
- 1:03:29Speaker 3: there because Batman's going to be there.
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: They flee Batman.
- 1:03:32Speaker 3: Then the kids all admire Bart as he walks through
- 1:03:34Speaker 3: the school, wondering what he did to be in trouble.
- 1:03:36Speaker 3: Did he burned down his old school? Murder the groundskeeper?
- 1:03:38Speaker 3: We get a grandskeeper here, saying that's a bit rough
- 1:03:41Speaker 3: in a British accent. Was that a reference to anybody.
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: Unless it's Springfield Elementary has the gruff and uncultured Willie
- 1:03:47Speaker 2: and these Scottish and these guys have like a rather
- 1:03:52Speaker 2: more refined, semi posh British.
- 1:03:55Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, but he thought bath then sees Lisa sad
- 1:03:59Speaker 3: time to my sists from loser to schmoozer, and he
- 1:04:02Speaker 3: sees the Alaska Nebraska poster.
- 1:04:04Speaker 5: Okay, buzz the ladies, you're that bad boy.
- 1:04:06Speaker 8: What do you want from us? Bad boy?
- 1:04:08Speaker 5: Don't tell anyone, but my sister Lisa is best friends
- 1:04:12Speaker 5: with Alaska Nebraska.
- 1:04:13Speaker 8: Get out of here so live. She didn't even know
- 1:04:16Speaker 8: who Alaska Nebraska was?
- 1:04:18Speaker 5: Does She said that because she respects Alaska's privacy, just
- 1:04:22Speaker 5: as I have no doubt you guys will respect Lisa's privacy.
- 1:04:28Speaker 3: Cut to a montage with them or texting their friends.
- 1:04:30Speaker 3: More kids know about it, and they eventually overload the bandwidth.
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: For the school. Very savvy by Bart, just what you
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: said happens in never been kissed. That's true a good
- 1:04:43Speaker 2: student of human psychology at least. But the right thing
- 1:04:46Speaker 2: by Lisa here is said, Oh, you know, a good
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: friend wouldn't It wouldn't reveal something.
- 1:04:51Speaker 3: Just like a good friend, you guys won't. Then Lisa
- 1:04:56Speaker 3: is now popular and my place. She thanks him. Well,
- 1:04:58Speaker 3: my plan was to lie and Lila call, and it succeeded.
- 1:05:00Speaker 3: But then Wigham arrives because Bart forgot to go to
- 1:05:03Speaker 3: the party, so they chase after him here at the montage.
- 1:05:06Speaker 2: Chase after him, you go.
- 1:05:07Speaker 3: He throws trash cans at them from Raccoon's choice trash cans.
- 1:05:11Speaker 3: He just is in the window of Costington's. Then they
- 1:05:13Speaker 3: illegitately shoot at him.
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: I think they did.
- 1:05:16Speaker 3: Yeah, they let's just try to shoot him. I was like, oh, okay.
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: The moral compass on this episode is just all over
- 1:05:23Speaker 2: the place. But he gets cornered in alleyway. Then they
- 1:05:25Speaker 2: get him and string him up and they read him
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: his rights. You have the right to be delighted if
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: you have no gifts. One will be provided for you,
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: basically forcing him to go to Ralph's party. Then Marge
- 1:05:34Speaker 2: arrives as Homer is playing Halo and desecrating a corpse.
- 1:05:38Speaker 2: She he says, we're gonna go to this. She said,
- 1:05:39Speaker 2: we're gonna go to a party or something like that.
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: He says, here, I'll let you play first. Oh, I'm
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: doing it.
- 1:05:44Speaker 3: Now, arrive at the party and cut me, lady, or
- 1:05:46Speaker 3: funnel down thy throat. I've never drunk out of a
- 1:05:49Speaker 3: funnel before, like a beer bong or anything like that.
- 1:05:51Speaker 2: I've never done that. Something that was very big when
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: I was at Uni was laybacks. Did you ever do those?
- 1:05:58Speaker 2: They've got like an ice sculpture that's a little bit
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: of a like a slide, and someone would stand.
- 1:06:03Speaker 3: At the top of it with Of course you didn't
- 1:06:04Speaker 3: fucking grammar boy ice sculptures.
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: This wasn't that high school was I was a good
- 1:06:10Speaker 2: boy at high school. This was at Uni.
- 1:06:11Speaker 3: Okay, it was really an ice sculpture so much. I
- 1:06:14Speaker 3: mean what you said, ice sculpture, okay, because it's.
- 1:06:18Speaker 2: Because I'm a fancy lad. But it was really just
- 1:06:20Speaker 2: the big block of eyes that have been chipped away
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: like a slide, but someone stand at the top of it.
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: They would have like a bottle of lime juice in
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: one hand, a bottle of vodka and the other pour
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: it into the little funnel and you'd be down at
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: the bottom, head back, and yeah, you'd basically get a
- 1:06:36Speaker 2: nice vodka cocktail. We whacked a goom bag on a
- 1:06:39Speaker 2: clothes line. Yours sounds more fun.
- 1:06:44Speaker 3: Basically you spin the clothes on. Whoever it lands on
- 1:06:46Speaker 3: gets to drink out of the goom bag.
- 1:06:47Speaker 2: That sounds great.
- 1:06:49Speaker 3: Understand that in someone's backyard, my mom's inside watching the stories.
- 1:06:54Speaker 2: Goon, Oh, goon, take me back? Eh? You still buy goon?
- 1:06:59Speaker 2: I believe so? Goonbags?

- 1:07:39Speaker 3: know what goon is? I have no, it's wine, right,
- 1:07:41Speaker 3: it's cast one, cast one.
- 1:07:43Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:07:43Speaker 3: But the guys ask Homer, does your hot day have
- 1:07:46Speaker 3: any sisters?
- 1:07:47Speaker 2: Yes? You got twins, twins.
- 1:07:50Speaker 4: There was an astronaut for a little fit. So many rules,
- 1:08:00Speaker 4: no listen how the police down in the hall what's gone?
- 1:08:08Speaker 3: And they go back to his room, but they don't
- 1:08:10Speaker 3: need a bed because they're not going to be sleeping.
- 1:08:12Speaker 3: I did come over the part with the guys are
- 1:08:14Speaker 3: talking to Paddy and someone though who just ran there?
- 1:08:16Speaker 2: Now?
- 1:08:17Speaker 3: So are you both in the same accident? And they
- 1:08:20Speaker 3: can hear banging next door Homer and Margin, and I
- 1:08:21Speaker 3: think they're not. Anyone's having a good time. But it's
- 1:08:23Speaker 3: just one of the guys banging his head against the walls.
- 1:08:25Speaker 2: What was I thinking?
- 1:08:26Speaker 3: The Margin is leaving and he says, come back, I'll
- 1:08:29Speaker 3: cook you some of my famous microwave burritos. I stopped
- 1:08:33Speaker 3: the oven when in the middle bit it's still a
- 1:08:34Speaker 3: little bit frozen and I heard that went that doesn't
- 1:08:37Speaker 3: sound good.
- 1:08:37Speaker 2: What sort of technique is this? I know, you know
- 1:08:39Speaker 2: you what is it?
- 1:08:41Speaker 3: She says, you know, the key to woman's heart or something.
- 1:08:42Speaker 3: I was like, not cooking food properly. If I serve
- 1:08:46Speaker 3: Nikola a frozen meal that wasn't completely cooked, she would
- 1:08:50Speaker 3: leave me of course, right, so still a little bit
- 1:08:54Speaker 3: frozen in the middle.
- 1:08:55Speaker 2: Why would you do that?
- 1:08:57Speaker 3: Am I missing something here? I'm guessing this is a.
- 1:09:00Speaker 2: Gag about the low standards you have when you first
- 1:09:02Speaker 2: start dating or something, or maybe when you're simply yeah,
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: when you're a young person and dating for the first time,
- 1:09:07Speaker 2: you know, you're you're fresh out at home, you don't
- 1:09:09Speaker 2: really know shit. You're willing to accept things that you
- 1:09:12Speaker 2: don't really like. But that's yeah, yeah, in the first
- 1:09:14Speaker 2: flush of love or whatever, it's like, oh, well he
- 1:09:16Speaker 2: can't cook it all, but you know his heart's in
- 1:09:18Speaker 2: the right place. Yeah, he's actually making the gest wow
- 1:09:21Speaker 2: to make me dinner. Yeah, that could be it. Maybe
- 1:09:24Speaker 2: I will accept that. Okay then, because and say it
- 1:09:27Speaker 2: with me, folks, the best jokes are the ones you
- 1:09:29Speaker 2: have to explain.
- 1:09:30Speaker 3: Then he says, you, me and the wife, we can
- 1:09:33Speaker 3: have a two way. We're now at the school. The
- 1:09:35Speaker 3: teacher has now re changed or has changed Lisa's score
- 1:09:39Speaker 3: to A to an A and her daughter is a
- 1:09:41Speaker 3: huge fan of Leska and Nebraska. So basically she's trying
- 1:09:43Speaker 3: to use Lissa to get to Alaska Nebraska. Her daughter
- 1:09:45Speaker 3: wants an autograph, would be very a plus of you
- 1:09:48Speaker 3: to do so. Then she says you don't have to
- 1:09:50Speaker 3: handle it anymore home next week, and Lisa is very
- 1:09:52Speaker 3: just happy. Now I'm like, God, I can't believe I've
- 1:09:54Speaker 3: got this. I don't have to do any homework. But
- 1:09:55Speaker 3: Lisa would surely would want to.
- 1:09:57Speaker 2: She would shape against it, you think, But list is
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: a little inconsistent.
- 1:10:01Speaker 3: Even the Ralph gag of him being French at the
- 1:10:03Speaker 3: school was stupid. He speaks French and then goes into
- 1:10:06Speaker 3: a locker.
- 1:10:06Speaker 2: Well that's the means he's clearly still not that bright,
- 1:10:10Speaker 2: just he's got the betina of sophistication.
- 1:10:13Speaker 3: Homer and Marge are on a date now at the
- 1:10:15Speaker 3: Tapas bar, which is really going heavy of this storyline
- 1:10:17Speaker 3: out there just makes no sense. While you're going on
- 1:10:19Speaker 3: dates and what are the kids yeahs going on? Have
- 1:10:22Speaker 3: we seen Maggie this episode.
- 1:10:23Speaker 2: We actually haven't. She wasn't at the dinner table at
- 1:10:26Speaker 2: the start. I don't recall. I don't think so. They're
- 1:10:29Speaker 2: probably but out of frame at the tapas bar. Yeah,
- 1:10:32Speaker 2: by the way, not how the Spanish really eat?
- 1:10:35Speaker 3: Then I love tapis like an appetizer for a million
- 1:10:37Speaker 3: It never comes. And Homer says, try that.
- 1:10:39Speaker 2: That flann delerche cabra. Do you know what that is?
- 1:10:43Speaker 2: A caramel? It is a goat's milk flan? What's a flan?
- 1:10:47Speaker 3: Well, it plans like cake, okay, like a flat cake
- 1:10:50Speaker 3: or some sort of dessert. I google it and it'll
- 1:10:52Speaker 3: just give me pictures. And I was like, I'm gonna
- 1:10:54Speaker 3: see if guy knows this.
- 1:10:56Speaker 2: Well, I look, shall I confess? I didn't know what
- 1:10:59Speaker 2: that was of top of the dome. I had to
- 1:11:00Speaker 2: do a little googling to find out what Flandalachia. Well,
- 1:11:03Speaker 2: you found out what it was. That's all that matters.
- 1:11:05Speaker 3: Yeah, because knowing is half the battle, because now the
- 1:11:08Speaker 3: listeners don't have to look it up.
- 1:11:09Speaker 2: According to g I Joe listen.
- 1:11:11Speaker 3: But he tells Marge, you dig around in the gunk
- 1:11:12Speaker 3: and she finds the key to his apartment and her
- 1:11:14Speaker 3: president is waiting for him back at the apartment. Where
- 1:11:16Speaker 3: can I have it? Now they've done this game before,
- 1:11:18Speaker 3: well yeah, yeah. Then Caitlyn wants Lisa to do a
- 1:11:21Speaker 3: reading at her bar mitzvah, so her bar mitzvah will
- 1:11:23Speaker 3: now mean something. Also, can you please get tickets to
- 1:11:26Speaker 3: this sold out Alaska Nebraska gig? And Lisa says, well,
- 1:11:28Speaker 3: it's sold out. I can't build more seats when I
- 1:11:30Speaker 3: get backstage passes. Marge is also now redecorated Homer's apartment
- 1:11:35Speaker 3: of it's her apartment, that's the thing, and that's for
- 1:11:38Speaker 3: the story.
- 1:11:39Speaker 2: Yeah, committing to the gag, but at the same time,
- 1:11:41Speaker 2: it's like, I don't like that.
- 1:11:45Speaker 3: But she says, you don't need to weed anymore because
- 1:11:47Speaker 3: I'm here, And he says, you're reminded me of.
- 1:11:51Speaker 2: My ex wife or something.
- 1:11:52Speaker 3: He says someone on those lines my first wife, and
- 1:11:54Speaker 3: we can discuss that after a brunch with my mother.
- 1:11:57Speaker 3: Then Lisa somehow gets into Alaska's room.
- 1:12:00Speaker 2: Oh she smokes away inside the food. Yeah, somehow I
- 1:12:04Speaker 2: don't know actually has pulled this off. She especially so
- 1:12:07Speaker 2: tired of fans being in my food. Got time for
- 1:12:09Speaker 2: Elliot Page as an actor. This is one of those
- 1:12:12Speaker 2: situations we've talked about in the past where you've it's
- 1:12:14Speaker 2: like with Anne Hathaway, a respected actor who's yeah, playing
- 1:12:19Speaker 2: a character as opposed to bringing their star presence to it. Right.
- 1:12:21Speaker 3: Yeah, it's literally in one scene, Yeah, Alaska Nebraska. The
- 1:12:25Speaker 3: character is mentioned throughout the actual speaking role of Alaska
- 1:12:29Speaker 3: Nebraska is what thirty seconds?
- 1:12:31Speaker 2: Yeah, and i'd say with all yeah, do you respect
- 1:12:34Speaker 2: to two page?
- 1:12:37Speaker 3: I would have liked a little more womph.
- 1:12:38Speaker 2: In the performance. I mean I know that, you know,
- 1:12:41Speaker 2: Alaska Nebraskas are meant to be kind of whatever, kind
- 1:12:44Speaker 2: of disaffected and yeah, a bit jaded and does that
- 1:12:46Speaker 2: bit with it? Could you tell her lips sinking that?
- 1:12:49Speaker 2: I don't know, it just it needs a little bit
- 1:12:52Speaker 2: more hot sauce.
- 1:12:54Speaker 9: Look, can you please please help a poor little girl
- 1:12:57Speaker 9: who was just trying to sit in It's what have
- 1:12:59Speaker 9: you o?
- 1:13:00Speaker 8: Songs are about?
- 1:13:01Speaker 5: You know what?
- 1:13:02Speaker 7: I was a little girl who didn't fit in either.
- 1:13:05Speaker 8: So you know what I did.
- 1:13:06Speaker 7: I got a new nose, I got famous, and now
- 1:13:09Speaker 7: I date the starting point guard for the La Clippers. Now,
- 1:13:11Speaker 7: if you excuse me, I have to go meditate and smoke.
- 1:13:15Speaker 5: HM.
- 1:13:17Speaker 7: Wait, I want to ask you something. Could you tell
- 1:13:19Speaker 7: I lip sync that whole speech? You know what, I
- 1:13:23Speaker 7: was a little girl who didn't fit in either, So
- 1:13:25Speaker 7: you know what I did. I got a new nose.
- 1:13:28Speaker 8: That's amazing.
- 1:13:29Speaker 7: I know security, You know.
- 1:13:31Speaker 5: I think those shirts should say insecurity because if you
- 1:13:34Speaker 5: feel you have to put what you are on your shirt,
- 1:13:36Speaker 5: then I feel sorry for you.
- 1:13:38Speaker 9: Do you feel sorry for me? I guess not.
- 1:13:42Speaker 3: And Homer is driven to see a movie without Marge,
- 1:13:45Speaker 3: but he was supposed to hang mirrors with her, and
- 1:13:47Speaker 3: she wants to leave now. She said, that's it. You
- 1:13:49Speaker 3: can have keys back. She can't get the keys off
- 1:13:50Speaker 3: the key ring. I still got to get keys offkey
- 1:13:52Speaker 3: rings as well.
- 1:13:52Speaker 2: Occasionally that will happen for me, certainly, but no, usually
- 1:13:55Speaker 2: I'm pretty good with it.
- 1:13:56Speaker 3: But unfortunately for then, the inspector arrived, so they quickly
- 1:13:58Speaker 3: turned the house into a kid ask house, and they
- 1:14:01Speaker 3: throw toys everywhere and food at the walls and whatnot.
- 1:14:04Speaker 3: And then Lisa comes out, but there's no backstage passes,
- 1:14:07Speaker 3: so she comes clean. Look, I've pretended to be somebody else.
- 1:14:10Speaker 3: That's not who I am. But you know what, I'm
- 1:14:12Speaker 3: now going to be me, and they said get the liar.
- 1:14:14Speaker 3: Then she runs into Costington's as one comes out in
- 1:14:16Speaker 3: new clothes.
- 1:14:16Speaker 2: I like this. There was a last Few Shoes killer.
- 1:14:19Speaker 3: Also it's Lisa killer twice. Then the inspector finds the
- 1:14:24Speaker 3: book with pages missing, a Lego spaceship that has been
- 1:14:26Speaker 3: poorly assembled, and he's disappointed because he wanted to murder
- 1:14:29Speaker 3: them and make it look like a suicide, which is
- 1:14:31Speaker 3: a pretty heavy joke for the Simpsons. It is, yeah,
- 1:14:34Speaker 3: not necessary appropriate for this character, but at the same time,
- 1:14:37Speaker 3: and he just leaves, Look, what was the point?
- 1:14:39Speaker 2: What was the point? We are a little chard going
- 1:14:43Speaker 2: like because how many times we ours? What's the point? Yes?
- 1:14:45Speaker 5: Of this?
- 1:14:46Speaker 3: Well, this feels like one of those ones where they
- 1:14:48Speaker 3: quickly get back to the status quo. So the Inspector's gone,
- 1:14:52Speaker 3: The kids don't like Lisa anymore. The kids arrive and
- 1:14:54Speaker 3: say they want to go back. Bart was playing hide
- 1:14:55Speaker 3: and seek with Millhouse has been three weeks now. It
- 1:14:57Speaker 3: must be a record about to said, but my mate's
- 1:15:01Speaker 3: going to miss me. No, we won't you talk during movies.
- 1:15:03Speaker 3: Lisa says she wants to be ostracized for being her,
- 1:15:05Speaker 3: not who she pretends to be and March says she misses,
- 1:15:08Speaker 3: she'll miss the love Nest, but we should go back.
- 1:15:09Speaker 3: So basically, it's just we didn't get back to Springfield
- 1:15:11Speaker 3: quickly for a reset. Preset hit the recept button and
- 1:15:14Speaker 3: accusted them in their love Nest, which is now but
- 1:15:17Speaker 3: in Butch tree House, which he said, get a room. Yeah,
- 1:15:20Speaker 3: and he says be cool. He says something again, be
- 1:15:23Speaker 3: cool or your grounded, and that's the end of the episode.
- 1:15:25Speaker 3: So the ending very rushed.
- 1:15:26Speaker 2: It just very rush.
- 1:15:27Speaker 3: It just I felt like a story that they didn't
- 1:15:30Speaker 3: quite know where they were going with and then realized, shit,
- 1:15:33Speaker 3: the episode is nearly over. Let's get back to Springfield.
- 1:15:35Speaker 2: I've got a concept. They've decorated it with a few
- 1:15:38Speaker 2: interesting ballballs. But yeah, it's literally the same Lisa story
- 1:15:42Speaker 2: as last week essentially. Yeah, but you do get a
- 1:15:44Speaker 2: reprise of Waverley Hills over the closing credits.
- 1:15:47Speaker 3: We do, indeed, yes, But overall, yeah, this is what
- 1:15:50Speaker 3: I'm not going to revisit. It's pretty forgettable. I mean,
- 1:15:52Speaker 3: there's a couple of funny gags in it, but compared
- 1:15:54Speaker 3: to more recent episodes that were reviewed from season twenty,
- 1:15:57Speaker 3: this is one that feels a little bit directionless, and
- 1:16:00Speaker 3: there's too many characters that are meaningless.
- 1:16:02Speaker 2: I think you're right.
- 1:16:03Speaker 3: Alaska Nebraska a meaningless cameo. The two guys at Homer
- 1:16:07Speaker 3: Lives with pointless don't get their names? Yeah, and three
- 1:16:11Speaker 3: cats literally the same character.
- 1:16:12Speaker 2: Yeah. Ellie Page not necessarily a big enough name to
- 1:16:17Speaker 2: sort of warrant this kind.
- 1:16:18Speaker 3: Of Juna come out, Unia come out the year before?
- 1:16:20Speaker 2: Right?
- 1:16:20Speaker 9: Oh?
- 1:16:21Speaker 2: Actually, yeah, maybe okay, forget I said anything. I guess
- 1:16:26Speaker 2: I was thinking when did the When It Pays become
- 1:16:28Speaker 2: a big, big name? Yeah, and I was thinking, oh,
- 1:16:32Speaker 2: inception in twenty ten. It's like, oh, yeah, I forgot
- 1:16:35Speaker 2: about Juno.
- 1:16:36Speaker 3: Because he was literally playing Juno in this episode.
- 1:16:39Speaker 2: Well that's right, Yes, what do we learn? Bom? What
- 1:16:42Speaker 2: did you learn? The episode? Was the Davis? I learned
- 1:16:44Speaker 2: what flan de lee discabre means because I.
- 1:16:48Speaker 3: Go and I learned that tap is not what the
- 1:16:50Speaker 3: Spanish actually eat.
- 1:16:50Speaker 2: There we go wearn. We learned a heat from this episode,
- 1:16:52Speaker 2: mainly about Spain. From this name forward, your names will
- 1:16:57Speaker 2: be all right.
- 1:16:58Speaker 3: In his time for the Guy, his new Name Championship
- 1:17:01Speaker 3: that he currently on the board stands at this in
- 1:17:04Speaker 3: first position, we have Jared Hornby, he's near me jer
- 1:17:08Speaker 3: on twenty three points. In second position we have Phil
- 1:17:11Speaker 3: Hawkins on twenty one points, and in the third position
- 1:17:14Speaker 3: we have Brian hughesy not me Hughes, just Hughes on
- 1:17:18Speaker 3: eighteen points. Take it away, Okay, then one point goes
- 1:17:22Speaker 3: to schooling around. That is Phil Hawkins is now only
- 1:17:27Speaker 3: one behind. Yeah, it currently stands. He's on twenty two points.
- 1:17:30Speaker 3: Well done, Phil.
- 1:17:31Speaker 2: Oh my goodness. Well, let's see two.
- 1:17:32Speaker 3: Episodes left this season too. It's going to come down
- 1:17:34Speaker 3: to these guys.
- 1:17:35Speaker 2: I reckon. Wow, let's see how we go with when
- 1:17:37Speaker 2: I give two points to don't and out in Waverley Hills,
- 1:17:41Speaker 2: that would be His name is Adam Wiolhouse. Oh oh
- 1:17:46Speaker 2: my goodness. Oh, you're a sly one.
- 1:17:51Speaker 3: He's on eight points. Well on, Adam with the two
- 1:17:53Speaker 3: point are there.
- 1:17:54Speaker 2: I don't think he can win an Adam, but you
- 1:17:55Speaker 2: certainly get a wild card entry. You do indeed, yep,
- 1:17:57Speaker 2: hooray for you. Umm ok, adding, I'm kind of excited.
- 1:18:02Speaker 2: You should be a little nervous. Three points goes too,
- 1:18:06Speaker 2: catchment if you can.
- 1:18:08Speaker 3: That is Mike Salter with his first points of the
- 1:18:11Speaker 3: season wild Card wild Card wild Card is Oh, it's
- 1:18:15Speaker 3: never too late to enter the wild card draws.
- 1:18:16Speaker 2: See you guys. I don't know if you caught that
- 1:18:19Speaker 2: on video, but anytime we mentioned the name Mike Salter,
- 1:18:21Speaker 2: I'm gonna do a little bit of a Salt Bay
- 1:18:22Speaker 2: thing from pis pour audio but fantastic video. Piss poor.
- 1:18:31Speaker 2: Is that an Australian thing? Piss Paul?
- 1:18:34Speaker 3: I think it might be global piss Paull.
- 1:18:38Speaker 2: Wasn't it pissing down out pis Poul? Congratulations to salty
- 1:18:44Speaker 2: mix Salter.
- 1:18:45Speaker 3: Yes, so it means that Mike's down the wild card
- 1:18:48Speaker 3: draw for the end of the season. But it also
- 1:18:49Speaker 3: means that Jared is still number one on twenty three,
- 1:18:52Speaker 3: Phil Hawkins in second on twenty two, and Brian Hughesy
- 1:18:56Speaker 3: on eighteen points in third. Okay, so you get two
- 1:19:01Speaker 3: threes and win if Jerry gets no points and fil
- 1:19:03Speaker 3: gets no points.
- 1:19:04Speaker 2: Wow. So yeah, that's a possibility. It's a possibility.
- 1:19:07Speaker 3: It's mathematically this is not impossible. No, it's just highly improbable.
- 1:19:13Speaker 2: But no, we wish you luck Yusy. We wish everybody
- 1:19:16Speaker 2: luck who ers the Guy Davis New Name Championship or challenge.
- 1:19:20Speaker 2: It's one of those, but either way, it's new names
- 1:19:22Speaker 2: and we're very, very happy that everyone continues to take
- 1:19:25Speaker 2: part in it.
