Speaker 1: What's up everyone and welcome to another episode of the
• 0:03
Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. In this episode, we're going to get right
• 0:06
Speaker 1: back to the captain slash CO and their interview with
• 0:11
Speaker 1: the OIG inspectors. Question. On Saturday, August 10th, 2019, Redacted
• 0:20
Speaker 1: received a phone call from Lieutenant Redacted around 7 a.m. Answer. No,
• 0:25
Speaker 1: that's not accurate. I received a phone call from Lieutenant
• 0:28
Speaker 1: Redacted I believe it was between the hours approximately 6.35,
• 0:32
Speaker 1: between 6.35 and 6.45, 6.50, somewhere in there. Question, and
• 0:39
Speaker 1: was told that Epstein was found unresponsive in his cell.
• 0:44
Speaker 1: But it was Redacted who called? Answer, yes it was. Question, okay.
• 0:49
Speaker 1: Redacted inquired about Epstein's cellmate and was surprised to hear
• 0:52
Speaker 1: Redacted respond that Epstein did not have a cellmate. Answer,
• 0:56
Speaker 1: that is correct. Question, so you immediately said, where's the cellmate? Answer, yes. Question, okay, yeah.
• 1:02
Speaker 1: Now this is again where I'm getting confused. Because in
• 1:05
Speaker 1: the report, they again say, redacted worked at 4 p.m.
• 1:09
  Speaker 1: to 10 p.m. on August 9th, 2019. And you're saying
• 1:12
Speaker 1: that's not right? Answer, no. He would have worked 2
• 1:15
Speaker 1: to 10. Question, and did he work on August 9th,
• 1:19
Speaker 1: 2 to 10? Answer, August 9th on right here. Question,
• 1:27
Speaker 1: I thought we said on August 9th he didn't work. Answer,
• 1:30
Speaker 1: he wasn't there. On August 9th, he wasn't there. Question,
• 1:33
Speaker 1: so from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., who was there? Redacted? Answer, yeah.
• 1:37
Speaker 1: But like this thing, like when redacted, saying he's non-custody,
• 1:41
Speaker 1: because you can see the roster, he's cut off by
• 1:44
Speaker 1: the inspector. So was redacted. So the two. And the
• 1:48
Speaker 1: activities lieutenant was redacted, correct? Answer, so let me. Can
• 1:53
Speaker 1: I school you on something? Question, absolutely, please. Answer, let
• 1:58
Speaker 1: me just school you on something. Question, please, that's why
• 2:01
Speaker 1: we're here. Answer, these rosters you see when you printed
• 2:05
Speaker 1: this roster, you printed this roster here. That says 6-2-21.
• 2:10
Speaker 1: That's this year. I can guarantee you the roster don't
• 2:13
Speaker 1: look like this back on the day the roster was printed,
• 2:16
Speaker 1: initially inputted. Question, so someone would have changed it? Answer,
• 2:22
Speaker 1: somebody went in there and changed it. Question, but does
• 2:25
Speaker 1: that mean that? This is inaccurate. Or the other is inaccurate. Answer.
• 2:31
Speaker 1: This is inaccurate. I can tell you why. Because redacted 1.
• 2:35
Speaker 1: This is how. Because I was like. Redacted non-custody. Why
• 2:39
Speaker 1: would he make sure that said non-custody? Now redacted. I
• 2:43
Speaker 1: temporarily promoted him to 11. I temporarily promoted him to 11. Question.
• 2:49
Speaker 1: Can you circle that? Answer. Because he couldn't have been
• 2:51
Speaker 1: in there or in the institution by himself. Question, so
• 2:55
Speaker 1: you think that he went in there and put in
• 2:57
Speaker 1: that indiscernible? Answer, I'm not going to say that. Question,
• 3:01
Speaker 1: but that's not what. He gets cut off by the guard.
• 3:04
Speaker 1: But what I will say, he gets cut off by
• 3:07
Speaker 1: the investigator. Question, what is normally what you would say? Answer,
• 3:13
Speaker 1: because he become non-custody until I think it was when
• 3:17
Speaker 1: he got out of non-custody and became a counselor. I
• 3:21
  Speaker 1: believe that wasn't until 2020, not 2020. I think it
• 3:25
Speaker 1: was the last part of 19, going into 20, or
• 3:27
Speaker 1: something like that. He was still on correctional service. But
• 3:31
Speaker 1: the thing about this roster, all these pages right here,
• 3:34
Speaker 1: anytime you make a change, it tells you the date
• 3:37
Speaker 1: and time of the change. So let's go here. Time
• 3:40
Speaker 1: change activities, Lieutenant, are redacted. That's done on 8-9-CP, who
• 3:45
Speaker 1: you've got to find out who CP was. Question, but 8-9,
• 3:50
Speaker 1: that was prior to the incident. Answer, 8-9-09- That was
• 3:57
Speaker 1: done at 9.09 a.m. The Ops Lieutenant, it was redacted,
• 4:01
Speaker 1: so redacted took sick leave on that day, and he
• 4:04
Speaker 1: gets cut off by the investigator. So redacted was on
• 4:08
Speaker 1: sick leave? Answer, redacted changed him on the roster on 8.09
• 4:11
Speaker 1: at 8.58 a.m. on Friday, August 9th. Redacted was relieving
• 4:16
Speaker 1: an officer on 8.09, but as you see, where you
• 4:20
Speaker 1: see NC at? Question, what are we looking for? Answer,
• 4:25
Speaker 1: And C, non-custody. It's right there. Question O. It would have.
• 4:29
Speaker 1: So somebody went in at some point and put. And
• 4:32
Speaker 1: if he put non-custody, was that somebody trying to cover up? Like, hey,
• 4:37
Speaker 1: I had nothing to do with it. Answer. I wasn't
• 4:39
Speaker 1: in custody in that time. He put me in there because,
• 4:42
Speaker 1: you know, why would I do that? You're a lieutenant. Question.
• 4:46
Speaker 1: So it's somebody trying to say like, hey, I got
• 4:49
Speaker 1: to go through it, but that's something that we should
• 4:51
Speaker 1: address with redacted. Answer. That's something you've got to do
• 4:56
Speaker 1: from the time you printed one. Look, when you printed
• 4:59
Speaker 1: one of these rosters, right? I can guarantee you, if
• 5:01
Speaker 1: you go back to 583 packet and print out the
• 5:04
Speaker 1: roster for 809 and 810 of 2010 or 2019, excuse me,
• 5:09
Speaker 1: it's not going to mirror the same. It's going to
• 5:12
Speaker 1: be changed. It's not going to be the same. Question.
• 5:15
Speaker 1: And do we have the ability to do that? Answer. Sure.
• 5:19
Speaker 1: Question to go back into it. Answer. To go the
• 5:25
Speaker 1: 5 to 83 incident. Yep. Question. And that'll have the
• 5:30
Speaker 1: roster in there. Answer for Jeffrey. Question. Yep. Answer for
• 5:36
Speaker 1: Epstein's incident. Yeah. Those two copies of that roster should
• 5:40
Speaker 1: be in there. Question. Okay. Good point. We'll go back
• 5:43
Speaker 1: and we'll look at that. Answer. But you printed that
• 5:46
Speaker 1: a couple of weeks ago. It's not going to say. The.
• 5:49
Speaker 1: It should. Question. So up. Until, just to clarify, up
• 5:53
Speaker 1: to 8.9 that morning, at 8.58 a.m., before that time,
• 5:56
Speaker 1: it was redacted on the schedule? Answer, yeah. Question, that
• 6:00
Speaker 1: means he called in and redacted CP, redacted at 8.58
• 6:04
Speaker 1: on August 9th, changed it over to redacted. Answer, correct. Question,
• 6:09
Speaker 1: so I wonder why. Okay, alright, so that is inaccurate.
• 6:14
Speaker 1: One more question, sorry. That CP, can anyone enter CP?
• 6:19
Speaker 1: Or is that what it was in the system? Can
• 6:22
Speaker 1: anyone enter CP? Answer, no, because when you log in
• 6:26
Speaker 1: the roster program, it's done by your PIV card number. Question, okay,
• 6:33
Speaker 1: no problem. That's it. Back to the questions from the
• 6:36
Speaker 1: other investigator now. Question, all right, and it says that
• 6:40
Speaker 1: Lieutenant Redacted is the one who did the 10 p.m.
• 6:43
Speaker 1: to 6 a.m. shift. Answer, correct. Question, it says Redacted
• 6:47
Speaker 1: did not personally tell Redacted that Epstein required a cellmate
• 6:50
Speaker 1: at all times. He believed she was aware because he
• 6:53
Speaker 1: had informed his lieutenants repeatedly and instructed them to pass
• 6:57
Speaker 1: his message along and convey the information among themselves. Is
• 7:00
Speaker 1: that correct? Answer yes. Question. Redacted did not hold a
• 7:05
Speaker 1: formal all-lieutenants meeting regarding Epstein or send an all-staff email
• 7:09
Speaker 1: with the warden's directive. However, you did send emails with
• 7:13
Speaker 1: regard to the way that they were supposed to act
• 7:16
Speaker 1: and their duties and responsibilities. Answer correct. Question. And you'll
• 7:20
Speaker 1: send me that? Answer, yeah. Question, okay. He verbally instructed
• 7:25
Speaker 1: his lieutenants on an informal and individual basis, as many
• 7:28
Speaker 1: as possible with whom he had the opportunity. On Saturday morning,
• 7:32
Speaker 1: August 10th, 2019, Redacted was relieved early by Redacted. Now,
• 7:38
Speaker 1: as far as Redacted goes, her claiming she didn't, if
• 7:41
Speaker 1: she's claiming she didn't know, and if you didn't specifically
• 7:44
Speaker 1: tell her, who should have told her? Or, how should
• 7:47
Speaker 1: she have known? Answer, no. How she would have known is,
• 7:51
Speaker 1: is that when she did rounds, she would have had
• 7:54
Speaker 1: those cards. Question no, no. Okay, so he gets cut
• 7:58
Speaker 1: off by the guard again. She would have known that
• 8:01
Speaker 1: these inmates are high visibility and the guidance was already out.
• 8:04
Speaker 1: So it was disseminating throughout the unit. So the staff
• 8:07
Speaker 1: was aware. So of course, probably, and you know, with her,
• 8:11
Speaker 1: we didn't have a good relationship. But regardless of the
• 8:13
Speaker 1: fact is that I made the lieutenants aware of my expectations.
• 8:18
Speaker 1: So even though I might not have told her, because
• 8:20
Speaker 1: she worked the morning watch shift, and by 6 she
• 8:23
Speaker 1: would have been gone, I wouldn't see her. Question, now
• 8:27
Speaker 1: was that abnormal, for her to leave before 6, before
• 8:30
Speaker 1: the shift was done? Answer, they was working 10 to 6.
• 8:35
Speaker 1: So by the time I walked in the door, she
• 8:37
Speaker 1: would be gone. Question, but what I'm saying is, if
• 8:40
Speaker 1: she's leaving before 6. Answer, now before 6, that would
• 8:45
Speaker 1: be a problem. Question, so even like 10 minutes before,
• 8:48
Speaker 1: is that a problem? Answer, not really. Question, okay. Answer,
• 8:52
Speaker 1: not really. Because if the relieving person gets there, because
• 8:55
Speaker 1: knowing the lieutenant, some lieutenants come an hour early. Some
• 8:59
Speaker 1: lieutenants come 10, 15 minutes early. It's just whatever happens.
• 9:03
Speaker 1: Sometimes the lieutenant has to work late because they have
• 9:06
Speaker 1: an incident or they have administrative duties they have to
• 9:08
Speaker 1: finish before or after their shift, which is fine, but
• 9:12
Speaker 1: they are compensated for that. Question, right. Okay. In the shoe.
• 9:17
Speaker 1: 30-minute rounds need to be completed consistently at non-uniform intervals
• 9:22
Speaker 1: within the 40-minute time frame. The purpose of the round
• 9:25
Speaker 1: is to ensure that good order is being maintained. There
• 9:28
Speaker 1: is no suspicious activity and all inmates are accounted for
• 9:31
Speaker 1: and responsive. 30-minute rounds are documenting in TrueScope, which serves
• 9:36
Speaker 1: as an electronic logbook. After a round is physically done,
• 9:40
Speaker 1: the correctional officer can log into TrueScope and press a button,
• 9:44
Speaker 1: certifying that the round was completed. Unfortunately, sometimes, officers do
• 9:49
Speaker 1: not complete a 30-minute round or exceed the 40-minute threshold.
• 9:53
Speaker 1: TrueScope also documents from what location, terminal, the rounds were logged. Answer,
• 9:58
Speaker 1: that's right. Question. Redacted is aware of that at least
• 10:02
Speaker 1: two terminals located in the shoe. The only way to
• 10:05
Speaker 1: determine if a 30-minute round was physically completed is to
• 10:08
Speaker 1: check the video surveillance footage. Answer, that is correct. Question,
• 10:13
Speaker 1: there are two correctional officers assigned to the shoe on
• 10:16
Speaker 1: morning watch at midnight, shoe one and shoe two. Shoe
• 10:20
Speaker 1: 2 is responsible for completing rounds. They're both technically responsible, correct?
• 10:25
Speaker 1: Answer right. Question, and so is Shoe 2, usually the
• 10:29
Speaker 1: officer in charge? Answer right. So basically, what would have
• 10:33
Speaker 1: happened is, they're supposed to, you know, because one has
• 10:36
Speaker 1: the key. So I do a round, I come back,
• 10:39
Speaker 1: then you do a round. Same thing when they do
• 10:41
Speaker 1: a count. Question, now is it the same thing with
• 10:44
Speaker 1: counts and rounds? Like, he gets cut off by the guard? No, no,
• 10:48
Speaker 1: I'm sorry, with the counts. The investigator picks back up,
• 10:52
Speaker 1: so with a round, if rounds aren't being conducted, does
• 10:55
Speaker 1: that also mean that everybody in the unit is to blame? Answer, yes. Because,
• 11:01
Speaker 1: because it, in essence, after hours, the lieutenant should go
• 11:04
Speaker 1: up there and observe the count. Question? No, but what
• 11:08
Speaker 1: I'm saying is like if a round is signed off
• 11:10
Speaker 1: on by one person, but everybody in the unit, nobody
• 11:14
Speaker 1: in the unit did it. And not just the person
• 11:16
Speaker 1: who signed the round, but also everyone else is also
• 11:19
Speaker 1: responsible for the falsified round? Answer right. Question okay. Everybody, yeah.
• 11:25
Speaker 1: It don't matter. If you're on the roster and you're
• 11:28
Speaker 1: assigned that unit, the guard responds, and a falsified document
• 11:32
Speaker 1: goes up, and you said, like, me, and you count.
• 11:35
Speaker 1: I know we didn't count, but I signed that, and
• 11:38
Speaker 1: you signed that. He gets cut off by the investigator. No,
• 11:42
Speaker 1: what I'm saying is, what I'm saying is, if you
• 11:45
Speaker 1: sign it, I don't sign it, but we're both responsible.
• 11:49
Speaker 1: Answer right. No, you're going to be responsible because you
• 11:52
Speaker 1: didn't sign it. But if I said I didn't sign it,
• 11:55
Speaker 1: then I'm going to tell you why. I said we
• 11:57
Speaker 1: didn't do the count. I'm going to put a memo
• 11:59
Speaker 1: on it. Question. So what I'm saying, that's going to
• 12:05
Speaker 1: be a big situation. I guess what I'm saying is like,
• 12:08
Speaker 1: all right, so in these count slips, specifically, there's two signatures,
• 12:12
Speaker 1: but there's four people working. Answer right. Question, so are
• 12:16
Speaker 1: the other two people that are working, if they didn't
• 12:18
Speaker 1: report it, they're also responsible? Answer, yes. All right, folks,
• 12:24
Speaker 1: we're going to wrap up right here. And in the
• 12:26
Speaker 1: next episode, dealing with the topic, we're going to pick
• 12:28
Speaker 1: up where we left off. All the information that goes
• 12:31
Speaker 1: with this episode can be found in the description box.
• 12:34
Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
• 12:37
Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. In this episode, we're getting right back to
• 12:41
Speaker 1: the unnamed CO slash captain and his interview with the
• 12:45
Speaker 1: OIG investigators. Question. All right. Okay. Answer. And then on
• 12:52
Speaker 1: the morning, watch. There's only two people in the unit. Question. Right. Answer.
• 12:57
Speaker 1: So they're both complicit. Answer. And I know I said
• 13:00
Speaker 1: bad count. Officers should come down. How often should I
• 13:03
Speaker 1: mean a lieutenant should come down? How often should lieutenants
• 13:07
Speaker 1: be observing the counts? And we're talking about in the shoe. Answer, well,
• 13:12
Speaker 1: in the shoe. In the shoe, a lieutenant would have
• 13:14
Speaker 1: been monitoring what I believe that 10 South count. Question
• 13:18
Speaker 1: 10 South. What about like where Epstein was? In regular shoe. Answer, well, no.
• 13:23
Speaker 1: But we didn't implement that until after Epstein's incident. Question,
• 13:27
Speaker 1: all right. So up to August 10th. Lieutenants were not
• 13:30
Speaker 1: observing counts. Answer, no. Question, they were simply taking the
• 13:34
Speaker 1: count in the control room. Answer, that is control. That
• 13:38
Speaker 1: is correct. Question, okay. Redacted was aware that the camera
• 13:42
Speaker 1: system in the shoe was down. He left early on Thursday.
• 13:45
Speaker 1: When the discussion about the camera system would have occurred. Mr. Redacted,
• 13:49
Speaker 1: what is Mr. Redacted's first name? Answer, I can't remember
• 13:53
Speaker 1: his first name. Question, now is he like a CO though?
• 13:57
Speaker 1: Or like... He gets cut off by the guard? No,
• 13:59
Speaker 1: he would be. He's a ComTech employee. Question, ComTech but
• 14:04
Speaker 1: a BOP employee? Answer, yeah. Question, the camera technician notified
• 14:09
Speaker 1: Redacted that he was working on the system earlier that week,
• 14:13
Speaker 1: but Redacted did not know specifics and was not informed
• 14:16
Speaker 1: that the cameras were not functioning. Since the, since you
• 14:19
Speaker 1: don't know or didn't know that, any of the true
• 14:22
Speaker 1: cameras may have been out? Answer, no. Question, okay. Since the,
• 14:28
Speaker 1: And who would have been responsible? Was he the one
• 14:30
Speaker 1: responsible for that? Answer, yeah. Question, so if he's notified
• 14:35
Speaker 1: that the camera's now out, how soon thereafter should he
• 14:38
Speaker 1: get that up and running? Answer, no. If he was
• 14:41
Speaker 1: aware that the camera system was down and was not working,
• 14:44
Speaker 1: he should have contacted me and then I immediately contact
• 14:47
Speaker 1: the AW and the warden because that's a security situation. Question,
• 14:52
Speaker 1: and in this instance, so in this instance, he didn't
• 14:55
Speaker 1: do that? Answer, no. Question, all right. And would anyone
• 14:58
Speaker 1: else have known that a shoe camera was down? Answer,
• 15:02
  Speaker 1: I don't know. Question, no. Okay. Answer, I can't remember.
• 15:07
  Speaker 1: I don't even. That's, I don't remember. Question, do you
• 15:10
Speaker 1: know if a camera in the shoe was ever down? Answer, yeah. Question, okay,
• 15:13
Speaker 1: what camera? Answer, I know that there were issues with
• 15:16
Speaker 1: the cameras because we had done a program review before then.
• 15:20
Speaker 1: And there was cameras down in 10 South. So we
• 15:23
Speaker 1: had got those fixed, you know, in the individual cells.
• 15:26
Speaker 1: And then there was a camera system that was down
• 15:29
Speaker 1: because I believe they was doing some type of maintenance
• 15:32
Speaker 1: on the ranges or something like that, that everyone was
• 15:35
Speaker 1: aware of. That's all I can remember. Question. Okay. Answer.
• 15:39
Speaker 1: And I don't remember specifics and timeframes. Question. All right.
• 15:44
Speaker 1: But you don't know specifically if like, for instance, the
• 15:47
Speaker 1: range that Epstein was on, that camera was out or not. Answer.
• 15:53
Speaker 1: That I don't know for sure. Question, you're not sure? Answer, yeah, no. Question, okay,
• 15:58
Speaker 1: but again, if it was, it would have been redacted.
• 16:02
Speaker 1: And what did you say the last name was, redacted? Answer,
• 16:06
Speaker 1: Christopher Redacted. Question, and how do you spell the last name? Redacted. Question,
• 16:12
Speaker 1: can you say that one more time? Answer, redacted. Question, perfect.
• 16:19
Speaker 1: The other investigator jumps in now. Just had a quick question.
• 16:23
Speaker 1: Who was that conversation about? The discussion. You mentioned that
• 16:26
Speaker 1: there was a discussion. He gets cut off by the guard, Mr. Redacted.
• 16:32
Speaker 1: He gets cut off now by the other investigator. No.
• 16:36
Speaker 1: When you said that the discussion would have happened. Answer. Oh, question, right?
• 16:43
Speaker 1: I think that's the date of indiscernible question. Well, no,
• 16:46
Speaker 1: it says Mr. Redacted, the camera technician notified redacted that
• 16:50
Speaker 1: he was working on the system earlier the week. He's
• 16:53
Speaker 1: saying that he left early on Thursday when the discussion
• 16:56
Speaker 1: about the camera system would have occurred. Answer would have,
• 16:59
Speaker 1: so he should have known. Question, if there was a conversation,
• 17:03
Speaker 1: but you don't know that there was, answer no. Because
• 17:06
Speaker 1: like in closeout, or if there was something with the
• 17:09
Speaker 1: warden that day normally on Thursdays at times, you know,
• 17:12
Speaker 1: it was for my, I have a disease, so I
• 17:14
Speaker 1: would go for blood work on Thursdays when I could.
• 17:17
Speaker 1: If an institution emergency, you know, but normally on Thursday,
• 17:21
Speaker 1: I would leave early on Thursday. I would take a
• 17:23
Speaker 1: half a day to go to my medical appointments. So
• 17:26
Speaker 1: if there was a meeting that was convened about the
• 17:28
Speaker 1: camera systems, I wasn't present at that meeting. However, I
• 17:32
Speaker 1: know that a camera project was going on during that time,
• 17:35
Speaker 1: which Mr. Redacted was responsible for installing the new, I
• 17:38
Speaker 1: don't know what, I can't remember what you call it,
• 17:41
Speaker 1: but it's a system because our system was an antique.
• 17:44
Speaker 1: So they was doing camera repairs. There was certain cameras
• 17:47
Speaker 1: down in certain areas of the institution, but he was
• 17:50
Speaker 1: actively working on that. question, so if there was a
• 17:54
Speaker 1: meeting that you were not aware of on Thursday, who
• 17:57
Speaker 1: would have been present for it? Answer, for a meeting
• 18:00
Speaker 1: with the warden? Question, it would have been with the warden? Answer, yeah.
• 18:04
Speaker 1: It would have been, I mean, the warden would have
• 18:06
Speaker 1: known if someone had a meeting about the camera system
• 18:09
Speaker 1: being down, and then probably the facilities manager, which is redacted,
• 18:13
Speaker 1: it would have been the AW of custody at that time,
• 18:16
Speaker 1: which would have been misredacted, and of course it would
• 18:19
Speaker 1: have been the warden. Question, didn't you say it was
• 18:22
Speaker 1: actually somebody else redacted was no longer the custody? Answer, Ms. Redacted. Ms.
• 18:28
Speaker 1: Redacted was there, but she had just got there. She
• 18:30
Speaker 1: was over another discipline. So that would have been the
• 18:33
Speaker 1: meeting with the executive staff. Question, okay. So it was
• 18:37
Speaker 1: the executive staff meeting. Would that meeting also have taken
• 18:40
Speaker 1: place if the cameras are still down on Friday? Would
• 18:43
Speaker 1: it have taken place on Friday as well? Answer, that
• 18:46
Speaker 1: would have been Friday as well. Question, but you weren't
• 18:49
Speaker 1: involved with a meeting like that? Answer, no. Question, and
• 18:52
Speaker 1: you don't know of a meeting taking place? Answer, no. Question, okay,
• 18:57
Speaker 1: would it have just taken place every day that the
• 18:59
Speaker 1: camera was down, or just the first day? Answer, there
• 19:04
Speaker 1: would have been an update because the person that falls
• 19:06
Speaker 1: under that, the contact, is redacted, so the AW over
• 19:10
Speaker 1: facilities would have wanted an update, weekly report, as well
• 19:14
Speaker 1: as the captain, because that's a security issue. So we
• 19:18
Speaker 1: would have wanted, but the camera system was down because
• 19:20
Speaker 1: I think it was down for some routine maintenance that
• 19:23
Speaker 1: they was doing anyway. Question. Now, would any lieutenant or
• 19:26
Speaker 1: SHU staff have known that the camera was down? Answer. Some,
• 19:30
Speaker 1: I mean. They don't have the ability to monitor, but
• 19:32
Speaker 1: you know, of course, the ones in 10 South, you know.
• 19:36
Speaker 1: He gets cut off by the guard. Yeah, they were
• 19:39
Speaker 1: live monitoring. Answer. Yeah, the live monitoring. So, of course. Question.
• 19:45
Speaker 1: And do you know? And you don't know, though. Even
• 19:48
Speaker 1: to this date, if a camera was in fact down? Answer,
• 19:51
Speaker 1: I can't remember. Question, in fact? Answer, I don't know. Question, okay,
• 19:57
Speaker 1: that's fine. I was just going to ask, even if
• 19:59
Speaker 1: it wasn't recording, do you know if it was like
• 20:02
Speaker 1: being a live monitor or anything like that? Or it
• 20:05
Speaker 1: could have been? Answer, I'm unaware. Question, okay, okay. So
• 20:11
Speaker 1: after receiving a phone call from Redacted on the morning
• 20:14
Speaker 1: of Saturday, August 10th, 2019, Redacted notified Associate Warden Redacted,
• 20:20
Speaker 1: who informed the warden. Redacted also attempted to call Institution
• 20:24
Speaker 1: Duty Officer Nathaniel Redacted to Chaplin and in the building
• 20:30
Speaker 1: to get more information. What does that mean by the building?
• 20:33
Speaker 1: Do you know? Answer, so basically, you know, it was just...
• 20:37
Speaker 1: It was just a bunch of, you know, people that
• 20:38
Speaker 1: we tried to notify. I tried to notify. So I
• 20:41
Speaker 1: think I notified Ms. Redacted, of course. She notifies the warden.
• 20:45
Speaker 1: I notified the IDO. I said, hey, because in May death,
• 20:49
Speaker 1: they needed me coming into the institution because that's one
• 20:52
Speaker 1: of their off times. So they needed to be making, A,
• 20:55
Speaker 1: because they're going to be responsible for making certain calls
• 20:58
Speaker 1: to the region. I notified the chaplain because chaplain made
• 21:02
Speaker 1: sure indiscernible also. I believe I informed them to call
• 21:06
Speaker 1: Redacted phonetic, which was executive assistant, I think redacted, or
• 21:11
Speaker 1: I may have called Mr. Johnson the attorney for MCC.
• 21:15
Speaker 1: I'm trying to think who else. Question? No, that's fine.
• 21:19
Speaker 1: And it says that he went to the MCC arriving
• 21:22
Speaker 1: before 8 a.m. approximately. Upon arrival of redacted, screened in
• 21:27
Speaker 1: and retrieved his gear from the third floor. He went
• 21:30
Speaker 1: to the shoe and signed the logbook. He gathered any
• 21:33
Speaker 1: records pertaining to Epstein, including the 30-minute round logbook, the
• 21:37
Speaker 1: attorney conference logbook, count slips, and E1s. What are E1s? Answer,
• 21:43
Speaker 1: so all this stuff right here. So you basically, I
• 21:46
Speaker 1: walk through the building, I know the protocol, because what
• 21:49
Speaker 1: happens is, these things will come up missing, then you
• 21:52
Speaker 1: have no evidence. So I secured count slips, the E1s,
• 21:56
Speaker 1: I went to the shoe, I got all the logbooks,
• 21:59
Speaker 1: that I knew where Epstein had been. I grabbed those logbooks.
• 22:02
Speaker 1: I went to the shoe. I took his inmate shoe
• 22:05
Speaker 1: file from the special housing plus, all the round sheets, indiscernible. Question,
• 22:10
Speaker 1: this actually says he could not locate Epstein's inmate file.
• 22:14
Speaker 1: Do you remember that? Answer, it was a file, but
• 22:17
Speaker 1: it had limited stuff in there. Question, okay. Answer, so
• 22:20
Speaker 1: his actual file, yeah, had his picture, had a couple
• 22:23
Speaker 1: things on there, but it wasn't anything in it. Question,
• 22:27
Speaker 1: so when it says, not locate a file, you located
• 22:29
Speaker 1: the file, it was just? Answer, it was empty. Question,
• 22:34
Speaker 1: it was empty, and is that abnormal? Answer, no, it's
• 22:38
Speaker 1: not abnormal. Question, oh, it's not normal. Answer, it's normal, no. Question,
• 22:44
Speaker 1: and do you think that somebody removed things from it? Answer, no,
• 22:48
Speaker 1: I'm not going to make that accusation. I don't know.
• 22:50
Speaker 1: I would just say that that's not a normal instance
• 22:53
Speaker 1: that's being working. As a former OIC being a correctional
• 22:56
Speaker 1: officer and all of that stuff, that's not normal. Question
• 23:00
Speaker 1: what stuff's usually in there. Answer, I can tell you,
• 23:03
Speaker 1: it would be all of his inmate screening stuff that
• 23:05
Speaker 1: we do on the inmates, the expectation, cell assignment, things
• 23:09
Speaker 1: that the inmates supposed to sign, the clothing issue forms.
• 23:12
Speaker 1: It would be 292s in there. It would be the SRO.
• 23:16
Speaker 1: It would also be the psychology where psychology comes down
• 23:19
Speaker 1: to see these guys. That notes should have been placed
• 23:21
Speaker 1: in there. Question and none of that was in there. Answer,
• 23:25
Speaker 1: none of that was in there. Question, and where is
• 23:28
Speaker 1: that file located? Answer, it's supposed to be located in
• 23:31
Speaker 1: the OIC. Question, and when you say the OIC, is
• 23:35
Speaker 1: that the shoe? Where the OIC sits? Answer, yeah. Question,
• 23:39
Speaker 1: and so anyone could have had access to that? Answer, yes. Question,
• 23:44
Speaker 1: and had you ever seen that file before that time? Answer, no. Question,
• 23:48
Speaker 1: did you ever locate it after that time? Answer, no. Question,
• 23:52
Speaker 1: so it's likely that someone took documents out? If they
• 23:56
Speaker 1: should have been there and they're not there, is that? Answer, correct. Question,
• 24:00
Speaker 1: so someone likely, I'm not saying who did it, but
• 24:05
Speaker 1: someone likely did it? Answer, in my belief, yes. Those
• 24:08
Speaker 1: documents were purposefully taken. Question, and can you think of
• 24:13
Speaker 1: a reason why they would have been taken? Answer, I
• 24:16
Speaker 1: don't know, sir. Question, all right, but you had never
• 24:20
Speaker 1: seen them before. Answer, no, sir. That was, that wouldn't
• 24:24
Speaker 1: be my purview to go through to audit those files. Question,
• 24:28
Speaker 1: who would be the person to ask about that? Answer,
• 24:31
Speaker 1: that would have been the lieutenant. Question, so lieutenant redacted? Answer,
• 24:36
Speaker 1: lieutenant redacted or the lieutenant. He would have been the
• 24:39
Speaker 1: one that audited those files. Question, okay. Answer, because they
• 24:45
Speaker 1: do SROs. Question, and did you ask them where the
• 24:48
Speaker 1: file was? Answer, of course, I called them. Question, and
• 24:52
Speaker 1: what did he say? Answer, he didn't know. He had
• 24:55
Speaker 1: no knowledge. Question, all right, so he claimed he didn't know?
• 25:00
Speaker 1: Anything about it? Did he ever say he looked at
• 25:03
Speaker 1: the files before? Answer, no. I don't remember him saying that.
• 25:08
Speaker 1: But when I called him that Saturday, because I had
• 25:10
Speaker 1: conversations with Lieutenant Redacted on that Saturday and that Sunday,
• 25:14
Speaker 1: because he was supposed to come to work on that Sunday.
• 25:17
Speaker 1: So once he found out about the situation with Epstein...
• 25:20
Speaker 1: because I had called him, and I said, hey, man,
• 25:23
Speaker 1: where is this inmate file? What are you talking about?
• 25:26
Speaker 1: I said his shoe file's not up there. XYZ. So
• 25:29
Speaker 1: I informed him of what happened. Sunday I get the
• 25:31
Speaker 1: call that he broke his leg, and then Lieutenant Redacted
• 25:34
Speaker 1: was out for like six months. Question, and did he
• 25:37
Speaker 1: really break his leg? Answer, I wouldn't know. Question, is
• 25:41
Speaker 1: there any reason to believe, or had you heard that
• 25:43
Speaker 1: he actually, he gets cut off by the guard? Again,
• 25:46
Speaker 1: he was supposed to be in that training. Like I said, right?
• 25:49
Speaker 1: What would you call it? When you go for reserve training,
• 25:53
Speaker 1: you do it every month? Question, yeah, he's in the military, right?
• 25:58
Speaker 1: Because of his military training. So he tells me that
• 26:01
Speaker 1: they're doing the PT the next day, which was Sunday.
• 26:03
Speaker 1: He broke his leg. Question, did he ever provide any
• 26:06
Speaker 1: kind of proof of an injured leg? Answer, he did
• 26:10
Speaker 1: provide something, but it was from a doctor. I mean...
• 26:13
Speaker 1: And that was sent through. He provided documentation. I can't.
• 26:17
  Speaker 1: I don't. I'm not a doctor. So I can't tell
• 26:19
Speaker 1: you what it is. And I'm not going to call
• 26:20
Speaker 1: the doctor to verify if that was the situation. But basically,
• 26:24
Speaker 1: it said that he had a substantial leg injury that
• 26:27
Speaker 1: prevented him from coming to work. Question. So have you
• 26:30
Speaker 1: had any conversations with him since? Answer. Oh, he came back.
• 26:33
Speaker 1: So then. So redacted went out in August and September, October, November, December.
• 26:39
Speaker 1: I think he came back either December or January of 2019.
• 26:44
Speaker 1: So he came back and he went up to the
• 26:46
Speaker 1: shoe as OIC. Question. And ever any conversations about this matter? Answer.
• 26:52
Speaker 1: I had discussed it with him on the phone twice. Question.
• 26:56
Speaker 1: And tell me about those discussions. Answer. Those discussions. So
• 27:01
Speaker 1: basically I asked him about the inmate file. I had
• 27:03
Speaker 1: talked to him about it that Sunday. He alerted me
• 27:06
Speaker 1: that he was injured. When he came back, we had
• 27:08
Speaker 1: discussions that the staff, when he told me and redacted
• 27:12
Speaker 1: where I go, I would. Say, out of all the lieutenants,
• 27:15
Speaker 1: me and Redacted, we spoke a lot. I thought very
• 27:18
Speaker 1: highly of him. And he would talk, and he was
• 27:20
Speaker 1: saying that he was having difficulties with the staff and
• 27:23
Speaker 1: his other peers. Because he, you know, the appearance was
• 27:26
Speaker 1: that he faked the injury. And not to be part
• 27:28
Speaker 1: of what everybody else was going through during that Epstein situation.
• 27:31
Speaker 1: So he was getting it from the lieutenants. He was
• 27:33
Speaker 1: also getting it from the line staff. All right, folks,
• 27:36
Speaker 1: we're going to wrap up right here. And in the
• 27:38
Speaker 1: next episode dealing with the topic, we're going to pick
• 27:40
Speaker 1: up where we left off. All the information that goes
• 27:42
Speaker 1: with this episode, can be found in the description box.
• 27:46
Speaker 1: What's up everyone and welcome back to the Epstein Chronicles.
• 27:51
Speaker 1: The facility where Ghislaine Maxwell is looking at spending the
• 27:55
Speaker 1: next 20 years is an absolute dump. Now I know
• 27:59
Speaker 1: people out there were under the impression that the facility
• 28:02
Speaker 1: that Maxwell was in was some kind of club fed
• 28:05
Speaker 1: or something like that. But the reality is, every single
• 28:09
Speaker 1: one of these facilities is an absolute dump. And remember
• 28:13
Speaker 1: during the release of the OIG report for Jeffrey Epstein's
• 28:17
Speaker 1: death and how they blamed the whole entire Bureau of Prisons,
• 28:21
Speaker 1: all the issues that the prison system has, this, that,
• 28:23
Speaker 1: the other thing? Well, none of that was fixed. They
• 28:27
Speaker 1: didn't address any of that. So if you're not going
• 28:29
Speaker 1: to fix the things that were pointed out in the report,
• 28:32
Speaker 1: what's the point of putting out the report? Oh, that's right.
• 28:35
Speaker 1: Just to satisfy all of you out there who kept
• 28:38
Speaker 1: asking questions. But is anything ever going to be done?
• 28:41
Speaker 1: Of course not. And you would think that if there
• 28:43
Speaker 1: were all of these glaring issues that they found with
• 28:47
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein's death while he was in custody, that they
• 28:50
Speaker 1: would have addressed some of them, right? Well, they haven't.
• 28:53
Speaker 1: And now we have a new report out from the
• 28:55
Speaker 1: Federal Bureau of Prisons talking about just how disgusting the
• 29:00
Speaker 1: facility where Maxwell's locked up truly is. So, let's get
• 29:04
Speaker 1: to this article from the Daily Mail and let's see
• 29:07
Speaker 1: what's going on. Headline, exclusive. Bureau of Prisons report reveals
• 29:12
Speaker 1: disgusting conditions inside FCI Tallahassee where Ghislaine Maxwell is serving
• 29:17
  Speaker 1: a 20-year sentence. Breaking news, folks. Jail isn't fun. Jail's
• 29:22
Speaker 1: not a vacation. You're not there at the Sandals All-Inclusive
• 29:27
Speaker 1: down in the Bahamas. But that being said, the living
• 29:30
Speaker 1: conditions at the facility have to be up to snuff.
• 29:34
Speaker 1: You can't be out here letting there be infestations of
• 29:36
Speaker 1: bugs and the rest of it. Especially considering... the Bureau
• 29:40
Speaker 1: of Prisons has a bigger budget than anybody besides the military.
• 29:45
Speaker 1: So with all of that money, they can't train people properly.
• 29:48
Speaker 1: They can't get this stuff fixed. I call BS. My
• 29:52
Speaker 1: guess is that there's a whole lot of money being
• 29:54
Speaker 1: wasted and probably a whole lot of pilfering going on
• 29:58
Speaker 1: as well. So why don't we audit the Bureau of Prisons?
• 30:01
Speaker 1: Let's put those 87,000 new IRS workers to work. Today's
• 30:06
Speaker 1: article was authored by Ben Ashford. The low-security Florida lockup
• 30:12
Speaker 1: where sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell is serving her 20-year sentence
• 30:16
Speaker 1: for pimping girls for Jeffrey Epstein might not be quite
• 30:19
Speaker 1: so cushy after all. Huh, who told you folks that
• 30:23
Speaker 1: from the very beginning? There is no such thing as
• 30:27
Speaker 1: club fed. Go ahead and go and spend some time
• 30:29
Speaker 1: in one of these facilities and then tell me you
• 30:31
Speaker 1: had a great time doing it. Prison inspectors uncovered rotting food,
• 30:36
Speaker 1: rodent infestations, and walls smeared with filth during an unannounced
• 30:40
Speaker 1: visit to FCI Tallahassee in May, DailyMail.com can exclusively reveal.
• 30:46
Speaker 1: The ceilings and windows of all five housing units were
• 30:50
Speaker 1: found to be in such dire need of repair that
• 30:52
Speaker 1: inmates had resorted to using feminine hygiene products to plug leaks. Now,
• 30:57
Speaker 1: as much as I don't like Ghislaine Maxwell, as much
• 31:00
Speaker 1: as I think jail should be punishment, this is unacceptable.
• 31:05
Speaker 1: The basic needs of people must be met. And the
• 31:08
Speaker 1: facilities that they're living in, they can't be third world
• 31:11
Speaker 1: hell holes. They have to be up to snuff, especially
• 31:14
Speaker 1: considering the bloated-ass budget that the BOP is working with.
• 31:19
Speaker 1: They need to manage their money better, get somebody who
• 31:22
Speaker 1: knows how to manage their money better, and use that
• 31:24
Speaker 1: money to help fix these facilities. Because where is all
• 31:29
Speaker 1: this money going? They say they have a shortage of staff,
• 31:33
Speaker 1: they can't hire guards, this, that, the other thing. Well,
• 31:36
Speaker 1: maybe that's because fast food places are paying $ 20 an
• 31:39
Speaker 1: hour now. If you want somebody to go and be
• 31:43
Speaker 1: a prison guard and go to prison every day willfully,
• 31:47
Speaker 1: you should probably pay them a couple more bucks, no?
• 31:50
Speaker 1: You know the old saying, you get what you pay for.
• 31:54
Speaker 1: Officials from the DOJ's Office of the Inspector General... also
• 31:58
Speaker 1: blasted bosses for failing to stem the flow of contraband,
• 32:02
Speaker 1: including cigarettes, vapes, opioids, and the synthetic cannabis substitutes K2
• 32:07
Speaker 1: and Spice. Yo, I truly have no idea why anybody
• 32:11
Speaker 1: would smoke that garbage. That shit is straight up garbage.
• 32:15
Speaker 1: You have no idea what's in that. Some knuckleheads putting
• 32:19
Speaker 1: together some kind of compound or whatever, and then shipping
• 32:23
Speaker 1: that shit from God knows where to these smoke shops,
• 32:26
Speaker 1: these gas stations, whatever. And then people are buying this
• 32:30
Speaker 1: garbage thinking it's going to affect them like marijuana would,
• 32:34
Speaker 1: but it doesn't. And the packaging itself even tells you
• 32:37
Speaker 1: not for human consumption. You might as well go and
• 32:40
Speaker 1: smoke some potpourri. And furthermore, if we can't win the
• 32:44
Speaker 1: war on drugs inside of a federal prison, please explain
• 32:47
Speaker 1: to me how we're going to win the war on
• 32:49
Speaker 1: drugs overall. Because we can't even keep this stuff out
• 32:53
Speaker 1: of prison. But remember, your favorite politicians, they're all going
• 32:57
Speaker 1: to keep you and your family safe by making sure
• 32:59
Speaker 1: none of this poison even gets into the country. Does
• 33:02
Speaker 1: that sound like a reality to you? Or does that
• 33:05
Speaker 1: sound more like it's election season and these MFers are
• 33:09
Speaker 1: looking for votes? Because anybody who's talking about they can
• 33:12
Speaker 1: win the war on drugs? Using prohibitionist tactics, they're lying
• 33:16
Speaker 1: to you. And if you want proof, just look at
• 33:19
Speaker 1: the infestation of drugs inside of our prisons. You have
• 33:23
Speaker 1: whole ass economies happening behind bars. Criminal groups making literally
• 33:28
Speaker 1: millions of dollars from their jail cells selling drugs. But
• 33:32
Speaker 1: these dudes are going to be out here yipping and
• 33:34
Speaker 1: yapping about how they're going to make your neighborhood safe. Okay, sure,
• 33:38
Speaker 1: I believe you. Their grim findings are detailed in a
• 33:42
Speaker 1: scathing report that rates the beleaguered federal facility housing 846
• 33:47
Speaker 1: women and 294 men in a small satellite facility as
• 33:51
Speaker 1: high risk. On a rare positive, the inspectors said they
• 33:56
Speaker 1: did not see any evidence of widespread sexual abuse in
• 33:59
Speaker 1: the 1930s-built prison where Maxwell, 61, has been locked up
• 34:04
Speaker 1: for more than a year. Well, that's good. At least
• 34:06
Speaker 1: there's none of that going on, or at least none
• 34:08
Speaker 1: that they could uncover. because we all know how prevalent
• 34:12
Speaker 1: that shit is in prison. But they pan staff for
• 34:16
Speaker 1: using insulting and derogatory harms, misgendering trans inmates, and not
• 34:21
Speaker 1: having enough cameras and manpower to deter violence, self-harm, and
• 34:25
Speaker 1: drug use. The report comes as something of a vindication
• 34:29
Speaker 1: for Maxwell, who has also filed so many grievances behind
• 34:33
Speaker 1: bars that fellow felons dubbed her the prison Karen. No,
• 34:37
Speaker 1: it doesn't. It shows an overall lack of care by
• 34:40
Speaker 1: the prison system, but it's not directed at Maxwell. It's
• 34:44
Speaker 1: not like Maxwell is the only one living in these conditions.
• 34:47
Speaker 1: The whole entire system's broken. This is what I've been
• 34:50
Speaker 1: saying for how many years now on this podcast? Everybody
• 34:53
Speaker 1: talking about, oh, defund the police, this, that, the other thing.
• 34:56
Speaker 1: They're all missing the boat. You want to fix shit?
• 34:59
Speaker 1: You want the justice system fixed? Start with the Bureau
• 35:02
Speaker 1: of Prisons. We got to get this shit right, folks.
• 35:05
Speaker 1: You can tell a lot about a society about how
• 35:08
Speaker 1: they treat their prisoners. And these facilities, while they should
• 35:11
Speaker 1: not be fun, they should be livable. The conditions inside
• 35:16
Speaker 1: of them shouldn't be deplorable. Her numerous gripes about the
• 35:20
Speaker 1: poor quality of the food, threadbare bedding, and the lack
• 35:23
Speaker 1: of timely access to medical care chime with much of
• 35:26
Speaker 1: the 49-page missive. We observed moldy bread being served as
• 35:31
Speaker 1: well as discolored and rotting vegetables in a food preparation
• 35:34
Speaker 1: refrigerator at the female prison. In the food storage warehouse,
• 35:38
Speaker 1: we found likely evidence of rodent droppings as well as
• 35:42
Speaker 1: bags of cereal with insects in them and warped food containers,
• 35:46
Speaker 1: the report notes. It goes on to say, We also
• 35:49
Speaker 1: found that female housing unit roofs routinely leaked and that
• 35:53
Speaker 1: all five general population housing unit roofs needed to be replaced.
• 35:57
Speaker 1: Many female inmates live in housing units in which water
• 36:01
Speaker 1: frequently leaks from the ceilings and windows on or near
• 36:04
Speaker 1: their living spaces. We observed housing areas in which feminine
• 36:08
Speaker 1: hygiene products Additionally, we observed worn bedding, rusted inmate storage lockers,
• 36:13
Speaker 1: and unlocked supply closets. So in other words, an absolute shitshow,
• 36:30
Speaker 1: just like we all knew. So how many of these
• 36:33
Speaker 1: OIG reports do we have to see that are absolutely
• 36:36
Speaker 1: panning the Bureau of Prisons before something is done? The
• 36:40
Speaker 1: inspectors noted that 38% of the jobs in the health
• 36:44
Speaker 1: unit at FCI Tallahassee were unfilled, which meant staff were
• 36:48
Speaker 1: slow to dole out drugs such as insulin. Bosses were
• 36:51
Speaker 1: also ripped for not having enough security cameras, and for
• 36:55
Speaker 1: failing to search inmates who went outside to do landscaping
• 36:58
Speaker 1: work close to the sprawling jail's perimeter fence. The outer
• 37:03
Speaker 1: perimeter is enclosed behind a short, single fence, large portions
• 37:07
Speaker 1: of which are easily accessible to the public from a
• 37:11
Speaker 1: municipal park. From such a location, individuals could easily throw
• 37:15
Speaker 1: contraband onto prison property for inmates to collect and bring
• 37:19
Speaker 1: back into the institution, the report notes. So they know
• 37:23
Speaker 1: all of this can happen, and they don't care. My
• 37:25
Speaker 1: guess is a lot of the prison guards, or at
• 37:27
Speaker 1: least some of them, I should say, maybe not a lot,
• 37:30
Speaker 1: that's going a little far, but some of the guards
• 37:32
Speaker 1: are on the take. And later on today, we're going
• 37:34
Speaker 1: to talk about a story that has to do with
• 37:36
Speaker 1: the DEA and agents on the take there. So if
• 37:39
Speaker 1: you think corruption is something that doesn't happen here in America,
• 37:42
Speaker 1: think again. It does. And there's a lot of that
• 37:45
Speaker 1: going on inside of the prison system. A lot of
• 37:48
Speaker 1: these guards getting real rich, folks, selling drugs, bringing in contraband,
• 37:53
Speaker 1: and all the rest of it. FCI Tallahassee staff told
• 37:57
Speaker 1: us that these inmates are routinely searched when they reenter
• 38:00
Speaker 1: the institution, affording them an opportunity to introduce contraband, including
• 38:05
Speaker 1: drugs and nuisance contraband, such as cigarettes and vape devices,
• 38:10
Speaker 1: into the female prison. Inspectors did not find evidence of
• 38:14
Speaker 1: an endemic sexual abuse problem in the aging Sunshine State lockup.
• 38:19
Speaker 1: But a review of reporting data from the previous 12
• 38:22
Speaker 1: months found that allegations against five other FCI Tallahassee staff
• 38:27
Speaker 1: members were ongoing and allegations against other staff members who
• 38:32
Speaker 1: no longer works at the institution had been sustained following investigation.
• 38:38
Speaker 1: The Federal Bureau of Prisons responded to the OIG report
• 38:41
Speaker 1: by taking several steps to enhance operations according to to
• 38:45
Speaker 1: a memo. Oh yeah, I'm sure everything's going to be
• 38:48
Speaker 1: rosy now. I'm sure they took all the steps to
• 38:51
Speaker 1: fix all the issues that were at these facilities. Look,
• 38:54
Speaker 1: if Epstein's death while in the custody of the federal
• 38:57
Speaker 1: prison system didn't spur change, nothing is going to. FBOP
• 39:02
Speaker 1: recognizes the importance of improving its physical infrastructure, increasing staffing,
• 39:07
Speaker 1: and improving safety and security. FBOP recognizes The shocking report
• 39:12
Speaker 1: comes after DailyMail.com revealed that Maxwell has lodged $ 400, 000 that
• 39:20
Speaker 1: it is taking to address each area, it said. The
• 39:24
Speaker 1: shocking report comes after DailyMail.com revealed that Maxwell has lodged
• 39:29
Speaker 1: 400-plus petty complaints during her stint in custody. All of
• 39:33
Speaker 1: that has to do with her appeal. The issue at
• 39:36
Speaker 1: hand here is how the whole facility is being run,
• 39:39
Speaker 1: not how Maxwell is being treated. The sex trafficker has
• 39:43
Speaker 1: slated the lackluster vegan menu options, demanded jail authorities give
• 39:47
Speaker 1: her access to hair dye, and even complained about a
• 39:50
Speaker 1: transgender inmate having noisy sex in the bunk above. Maxwell
• 39:55
Speaker 1: also bagged plush hypoallergenic bedding after grumbling to staff that
• 40:00
Speaker 1: the standard issue prison pillows were triggering her allergies. Yeah,
• 40:04
Speaker 1: maybe give her some silk sheets too while we're at it.
• 40:08
Speaker 1: Her moaning dates back to July 2020 when she was
• 40:11
Speaker 1: locked up at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New
• 40:14
Speaker 1: York while awaiting federal trial for grooming minors. There, her
• 40:19
Speaker 1: lawyer's accused prison authorities of breaching her rights by shining
• 40:22
Speaker 1: a torch in her cell every 15 minutes, subjecting her
• 40:26
Speaker 1: to invasive searches, and filming her at all hours, which
• 40:29
Speaker 1: is all standard procedure. You see, Maxwell wants you to
• 40:33
Speaker 1: think that she's getting arbitrarily punished. That's not the case.
• 40:37
Speaker 1: She's being treated like every other inmate in the facility. Now,
• 40:41
Speaker 1: if you want to have the conversation about the facility itself,
• 40:44
Speaker 1: about the Bureau of Prisons, I'm on board with it.
• 40:47
Speaker 1: But to act like Maxwell is being, you know, arbitrarily punished,
• 40:51
Speaker 1: that's crazy. The daughter of disgraced UK newspaper magnate Robert
• 40:56
Speaker 1: Maxwell was sentenced to two decades behind bars in June
• 41:00
Speaker 1: last year and was due to serve her time in
• 41:02
Speaker 1: Connecticut's FCI Danbury prison. before being unexpectedly shipped 1,000 miles south.
• 41:08
Speaker 1: That's not true either. She asked to be at Danbury.
• 41:12
  Speaker 1: You don't get to choose where you're going. There's a
• 41:14
Speaker 1: board that gets together and they decide where you're going
• 41:17
Speaker 1: to go. So the talk was Maxwell wanted to go
• 41:20
Speaker 1: to Danbury. Well, she didn't get what she wanted. Controversy
• 41:24
Speaker 1: ensued when she used the prison's video system to give
• 41:28
Speaker 1: an interview to UK broadcaster Jeremy Kyle, in which she claimed,
• 41:32
Speaker 1: without evidence, that the now notorious photograph of Prince Andrew
• 41:36
Speaker 1: with Epstein's survivor, Virginia Roberts, was fake. Remember that nonsense?
• 41:41
Speaker 1: This lady, she just can't get enough of abusing Virginia, huh?
• 41:46
Speaker 1: Year after year, decade after decade, this vile-ass skafooza, she
• 41:50
Speaker 1: just can't help herself. And you know what's so funny
• 41:52
Speaker 1: about it? Every time she starts in with her BS,
• 41:56
Speaker 1: it just exposes her further for the bipedal serpent that
• 41:59
Speaker 1: she is. Dailymail.com revealed how the chat earned Maxwell 48
• 42:05
Speaker 1: hours in the special housing unit, a prison within a prison,
• 42:08
Speaker 1: comprising tiny, grim cells where inmates are caged for 23
• 42:12
Speaker 1: hours at a time. and fed through slits in the door.
• 42:16
Speaker 1: That's called the hole. And that's where you end up
• 42:18
Speaker 1: when you think that you're above the rules. And Ghislaine Maxwell,
• 42:22
Speaker 1: as we all know, certainly thinks she is above all rules. Maxwell,
• 42:27
Speaker 1: federal prisoner 02879-509, will be nearly 80 by the time
• 42:33
Speaker 1: she's freed unless she can successfully appeal her convictions for
• 42:37
Speaker 1: helping ex-lover Epstein, who hanged himself, allegedly, behind bars in 2019.
• 42:43
Speaker 1: instead of facing trial. Federal prosecutors insist that Maxwell's convictions
• 42:48
Speaker 1: for grooming girls as young as 14 should stand and
• 42:52
Speaker 1: deny claims that she was used as a proxy to
• 42:55
Speaker 1: satisfy public outrage over Epstein's crimes. Anybody who thinks that
• 43:00
Speaker 1: is an absolute moron. This lady was hip deep in
• 43:06
Speaker 1: everything Epstein was up to. And if you think that
• 43:09
Speaker 1: Ghislaine Maxwell, of all people, was somebody that was caught
• 43:13
Speaker 1: up in the maelstrom and just got caught up as
• 43:15
Speaker 1: collateral damage, you are absolutely 1,000% wrong. This lady has
• 43:21
Speaker 1: earned every bit of this. And the only regret I
• 43:24
Speaker 1: have is that her sentence wasn't for much longer. All
