Lexington’s Fourth of July kicks off with major street closures—Friday’s concert shuts down West Third, Market, and North Mill Streets from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m., while Saturday’s Bluegrass 10K, parade, and festival bring early morning closures on Main, Short, Barr, and Limestone Streets, plus rolling shutdowns on Richmond Road and Midland Avenue. The courthouse and Tandy Park area is blocked from 5 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and fireworks on the 4th will close Newtown Pike, Fourth Street, Oliver Lewis Way, and parts of West Main and Leestown Road—with Oliver Lewis Way staying shut for cleanup.
