- 0:29Good morning from From spring forward.
- 0:32Always like don't love the whole concept of losing an hours sleep
- 0:37and I don't love the concept of somebody telling us that they
- 0:40can control the concept of time. When we're actually, the ones
- 0:45that can control how we see time, you know, speeding up
- 0:48forward, falling backwards, whatever it might be, but we
- 0:51have ultimate control over our perception of time.
- 0:55People are chronically, late people, some people are always
- 0:58on time, some people are early. It might be but spring forward
- 1:03is always interesting because if you ever noticed how many people
- 1:06complain about it constantly talking about it weeks
- 1:09beforehand, everyone's talking about.
- 1:11Oh we have to bring forward soon.
- 1:13The worst ever. I hate losing an hour sleep.
- 1:17It's terrible. Well, you know, I think this is
- 1:20a perfect example to use about how we talk ourselves into
- 1:24problems because I have to tell you yes, it is difficult
- 1:28biologically, they have said it over and over again.
- 1:30When it's difficult for the biology of our bodies to do
- 1:34these kind of things. So why do we do it?
- 1:37Why did it start off? Well, why it started off is not
- 1:40the reason why they continue to do it.
- 1:41It's just like that old story about the woman who had a recipe
- 1:47for ham and she took this ham out and she would make it, she
- 1:52wrote it on a recipe card and everybody loved her ham.
- 1:55And so her daughter asked her for the recipe card.
- 1:58She had it, she handed it to her.
- 2:01And her daughter and her granddaughter were making it one
- 2:04day. And out, they take out the ham
- 2:06and they chop off a big chunk of it and throw it away.
- 2:08And so, the daughter says to the her mother Mommy, why do you cut
- 2:13that big chunk of ham off? And she says, I don't know, it's
- 2:16on Nana's card. So when they Nana comes for
- 2:19dinner, she says to her Nana, how come you top that big chunk
- 2:24off the ham? We before you make it and she
- 2:27says, oh what? Oh no.
- 2:29That was just a reminder. To myself that I didn't have a
- 2:32pan big enough. And while you might laugh at
- 2:35that, that's how we do things. We do it because we've always
- 2:38done it. So this whole thing about
- 2:40complaining because we've always done, it is pretty standard,
- 2:46operating procedure and the today always reminds me of it
- 2:50because it reminds me of to work on making sure you're not
- 2:55complaining about things because ultimately, you have control.
- 2:57How you perceive them. Ultimately, you have control.
- 3:00The whole thing. Is it a nuisance?
- 3:02Yes. Does it really bother some
- 3:04people biologically? Yes.
- 3:07And hopefully they never make us do it again in the event that
- 3:10they don't. It's just a great example and a
- 3:13great reminder of the fact that we have to keep in check what we
- 3:17are willing to complain about did I like fact, I'm a very
- 3:20early morning person. Obviously, I'm out here with my
- 3:23chickens doing a podcast when I get them up in the morning or
- 3:27when they're already up, especially today.
- 3:30Because Cuz you know the locks changed.
- 3:33So didn't make a difference. I woke up but I woke up when I
- 3:37was supposed to wake up but then it was dark and then it got
- 3:39confusing for everybody and then I tried to fall back to sleep
- 3:43and that's what happens all the time.
- 3:44But am I going to complain about it?
- 3:46No. Am I going to allow it to screw
- 3:49up my whole day? Am I going to walk around
- 3:51telling myself? I'm screwed up?
- 3:52No, because for the great majority of us, we have control
- 3:58of our emotions. We can say this there.
- 4:00Yes. There are some people that
- 4:02cannot and they need chemical help and we have that for them.
- 4:05But for the rest of us, there is a great great number of us that
- 4:11can do this. We just have to stop letting
- 4:14them take over. And this day springing into this
- 4:19new time zone that we are in now, right?
- 4:23Because we're all shifting here into this new frame and spring
- 4:28is here all know that, right? Here we are in Spring.
- 4:32I'm getting ready to plant Gardens.
- 4:33I've got a bunch of roses to go in the ground today.
- 4:36Well that in itself, says New Life Begins, so turn over this
- 4:43new Leaf while all the leaves around, you might not be popping
- 4:47yet. They are where I am and I will
- 4:49say nothing is more glorious than watching this happen and
- 4:53being a part of it and saying I can actually partake in this, I
- 4:57can make things beautiful, I can This this Farm turned into
- 5:03something incredible and have you guys watched it in the
- 5:05process and really own the fact that you can grow whatever you
- 5:11want inside your mind because that's your space so don't allow
- 5:15this time change to kick your ass, just make a decision that
- 5:18it's not going to and go to bed earlier tonight.
- 5:23I mean that's the best thing I always think on those days just
- 5:25go to bed earlier and you'll just feel like oh so cozy just
- 5:29getting into bed. Early sometimes.
- 5:31Even if you lie there and watch a show, makes you just feel so
- 5:34much better. So I hope you guys have a
- 5:36blessed day and I will see you tomorrow.
- 5:39Bye.
